Very Difficult to Use. I love the app most of the time but it’s very frustrating to not be able to add new photos from your phone’s library. The option to choose additional photos doesn’t always come up

Unique but needs more for brands. It’s great because it’s not Canva and it’s made by the creative forces behind Filmm and a Color Story but...you can’t bring in your branded colors to most of the features which makes me cry because I love this app so much. And when you are able to use your brand colors it’s not a great user experience. Def worth the buy if you’re not using for your brand, but think twice if it’s for your business. If this isn’t a deal breaker for you then you’re aces! I really hope the developer makes an update to allow for hex codes and branding elements.

Doesn’t work that great. I use this app almost every day, and it’s supposed to remember past templates so they can be re-used. For $5 bucks a month, I would expect the app not to freeze, I feel like I have to start all over again all the time. I’m about to cancel the pro version of this and delete it all together for constantly crashing and not having more options to play around with the actual templates. I can’t believe they charge for this.

Easy! Beautiful! Fun!. Just downloaded it and made my first post using the gallery templates and it was so easy to use and really intuitively designed. There is a free pack to start out with that is beautiful and with each purchase you get so much more than with the competing apps for the same price. Really amazing. 10/10 🤩

Amazing, but could be improved. I love almost everything about this app!!! So manycute and versatile templates. My one request is: being able to use a photo from camera in app, instead of having to take a photo first. This would make it much more convenient to use on the go!

Irritated. Okay. So I love the options within the app. The templates are great and it’s easy enough to use. But when I’m putting together a larger project the app just crashes without saving ANYTHING causing me to start over completely. This is the 4th time today I’ve had it crash and honestly I’m so irritated I don’t want to continue. Please fix this bug. It really affects the functionality of this app.

Another great one!. I use the A Color Story app daily to edit my photos, so when I saw the Template App dropped I knew I had to get it! It’s super user friendly and now my stories will be just as pretty as my posts 😊 Would definitely recommend!

Next level!. This is the perfect all in one app to bring your photos to life. I’m loving how many template options there are to use. Excited to keep using this to create a more unique look on my Instagram. (:

So disappointing. I can’t believe it! Are used to have this app and loved it, a lot of the templates were free… Now every single template that I try to click on is not free and it demands me too subscribe to templates plus!!!! And at the prices that out too high for what it is, If you see my review… Good because when you get the app excited and then find out you have to pay yearly or monthly then you’ll be disappointed… Also anyone who wants to pay monthly or yearly Shania and find something else free!

Just like Unfold but with more templates. The app is new, so there’s still some things I would change. Hopefully the new update fixes a few things but the overall use of the app is fairly easy. I love all of the templates. I don’t feel like I’ll use all of them, but a lot of them are neat. My biggest issue is having to scroll through all of my photos when I want to pick another image. Unfold picks up where you were on your camera roll, template doesn’t and it’s a bit annoying. I love all the cool features within the app though. I feel like Unfold had a missed opportunity to grow the app, and Template hit the ground running.

Brand new and lots of fun!. So far it’s a great app! I love all the templates that take the thinking right out of the planning, I can focus on being a creator! I also LOVE that you can completely customize it to fit me needs and brand. Can’t wait to see what comes next.

Hard to use sometimes. It’s confusing when you select a picture to add to the template but if you want to change the photo it’s hard to find out how and adding another one is difficult Not super user friendly Also would be nice to have video templates since it’s a monthly subscription but it’s only For photos

Great app. This is a great app I’ve used just started using it to mess around with and it’s great on this I would like is if you didn’t have to pay for so many things and if there was an option so it could fit your phone background...but I love the app and can’t wait to keep using it - Nadia K

Very buggy but pretty great. I love the app and it’s pretty useful with a lot for cute templates I even paid the subscription, however it has closed on me mid-editing a million times! It doesn’t save my progress so every time I have to restart what I had already done. It’s very frustrating and annoying.

Keeps Crashing. I love absolutely everything about this app- except that it keeps crashing and losing all my work, which is extremely frustrating. If this was fixed it would bring it back up to 5 stars for me, but as it stands I’ve started going back to my previously used apps for creating stories.

Beautiful design options. I am thrilled with the options that template gives me and feel like it’s going to really step up my design options for stories and memory keeping in general. Slowly the ABM suite of apps is replacing my former favorite design suite for digital scrapbooking and I’m not mad about it.

Another amazing APP from the best <3. I didn’t even flinch before getting the yearly subscription because I know I’ll have no regrets in being able to create beautiful content. I’m not an influencer or a business owner or anyone with a “need” for this besides to share my obsession with my pup. You’ll love this app, along with the others: A Color Story, A Design Kit & Filmm. Great free templates for story posts. love using this for post my multiple videos onto instagram or snapchat without having to make many posts or my story look long!

What a great app. This app has replaced two apps I was using. I love editing my pictures in color story and then dropping them into template. I do wish there were a few more free options or a way to do the + options across all the available apps. I wish there was also an option to adjust the size of the frame. I don’t like that the place holders are in a different language. Otherwise, a good app for its purpose.

What happened??. I’ve been using this app on the free version, but finally had to upgrade to basically use any of the not so boring templates. Now I can’t seem to get anything to work right. Especially the animated styles. App keeps acting so weird & locking up, lags when I try adding a pic. Also, not enough instructions (which these apps really shouldn’t need instructions by this point… pretty self explanatory.. EXCEPT when you have an app such as this one that doesn’t want to function the way it really SHOULD!) Huge disappointment.

AMAZING 🤩. This is just the app I’ve always wanted and didn’t even know I needed!! The templates and fonts are everything!! So simple and easy to use. Def something new to spice up your instagram or other social media. Highly recommend!!

I use this app for EVERYTHING!. If you want cool ways to promote your work on Instagram, this is definitely the app for you! It makes everything on my feed 10x better when I deck out my story with amazing templates they have! I highly recommend, even if it’s just the basic templates they have.

so many template options!!. but actually - there’s a template for ANY style. classic, modern, romantic, simple, artsy. I love them all. my only problem is that the ‘grid’ template doesn’t actually fit the dimensions of the grid photos. it still crops part of the photo. i’m sure it will get fixed in an update, but for now i’m still having to make it fit into the square manually!! love the app, excited to use it!

Everything Elsie and Emma do is Amazing!. I’ve been using A Color Story exclusively for photo editing for a long while and I’ve been so excited for the Template App to come out to have the complete package for IG creation. Just like ACS - the Template App is incredibly easy and intuitive to use and has so many options for customizing to your style. Great work ladies! Love it! It’s great for a brand new app but I’d suggest a few other edits like being able to change te order of your stories rather than having to delete if you want to put something in a different spot. I’d also love to see their other apps connected - like after I edit a photo or photos in ACS, I’d love to have the option to save and open in template automatically, that way I’m working with a smaller set of photos and don’t have to scroll back through all my photos to find what I want. I’m sure these things are in the pipeline though! Can’t wait to see how these apps evolve!

It’s a good app but weird UI. For its purpose, making layouts, is really good! But not everything is explained to you right away. There is no “help” or “tutorial” and if there was or is, I cannot find it. To get to different menus you have to single or double click it, it’s trial and error, however this might prompt something completely different then what you wanted. Changing the text font and color can be some what confusing. Like I swear there was a way to put a highlight behind the text but I might be dreaming. Layout categories are somewhat hard to understand and navigate. I wish there was a way to chose layouts based on how many photos you chose, like if you choose 4 photos, it will only show you layouts that can support 4 photos.

So fun!. I’ve been a huge fan of the other apps this team has put out and I am so impressed with template! I NEVER opt for subscription apps, but the value of this one was so worth it to me. I can’t believe how many options there are and how easy they are to edit and make your own. I will be using this daily for my personal and photography Instagram!

Challenging your creativity. I love this app! It’s simple to use and has so many nice templates. I like how it challenges me to be a bit more creative on my stories while feeding Into the clean, minimalistic style. If you love Zoe’s other app, Filmm, you’ll love this one!

Frustrated need assistance. I’m sending this review because I am being scammed. The app is amazing but I have been paying for the plus for over a year now. It seems like it decides to let me use all the features that plus comes with whenever it feel like it. Sometimes when I go to use a premium feature it blocks me and ask me to upgrade to something I’m already subscribed to. This is very frustrating because pay for this app to streamline some of my graphic design work. If someone could reach out to me to resolve this I would really appreciate it. Other than that the app is great just buggy

Amazing app for creatives (and aspiring creatives)!. I’m super excited about this app! As a heavy IG user, Template app makes it very easy for me to create beautiful stories and feed posts on the go, with the ability to easily customize them to fit my aesthetic. This app is super great for creatives and/or beginners who are looking to up-level their IG and design game. There’s TONS of cool templates to choose from! And unlike other similar apps I've experienced, the templates are thoughtfully-designed, non-clunky and perfect for the modern day user!

Multiple videos in one story!. Needed an app that allowed me to put multiple videos in one story, and this fits the bill! My only slight complaint is that you cannot reposition the videos but honestly it’s not a huge deal. Good app !

Very diverse. I’ve only been using the app for maybe ten minutes but it seems to be full of diverse designs and fairly intuitive user experience! I love that it has IGS, grid, and slider design options. I am always making social media content for brands and having all of those options in one place is incredible! I also like that they have a yearly and monthly subscription. I hate paying monthly for apps so having a yearly option is great. They also seem to give you a bit more bang for your buck than the other apps I’ve been using. Only time will tell, but at first glance, this app seems like a winner.

Template App Review. The app is great, simple to use, and straight to the point. The only thing i don’t like, is when u add certain templates like a film one, it says template on it. maybe replace that with something else. other than that it’s wonderful

So almost perfect. I have been using this app for a long time, and I love love it. After the last update where they added animation, I can’t open the app without whatever music I’m listening to turning off and it just makes me so sad. I’ll be vibing looking at pictures and bam, music off. I am still giving 5 stars cause I love it and everyone should download it, but please fix this in the next update!

Problems with Subscription. Hello all, I decided to try the 3 days free, and forgot to cancel it before it charged me for a year’s worth, which is on me, but then I immediately cancelled my subscription so I never forget about it again. But even so, this means that the $30 I paid should allow me to access the templates until 2023, but every time I go on the app and click on a template, it tells me to sign up again. Shouldn’t I receive access for a year since I paid? Even if I cancelled my subscription? Pretty annoying, complete waste of money.

Great flow. I'm only trying this app out for a few days because quite frankly it is too expensive for my lifestyle. K love the templates and the fobt choices- that aesthetic contribution really makes the app attractive and holds appeal. I don't like the obnoxious “giphy” advertisement on ALL of the stickers and gifs. Depends what ur valuing when deciding whether to purchase. One of the better ones for sure.

So fun!. I have fallen in love with every app Elsie and Emma have launched and Template app is no different! There are so many beautiful options to creatively customize my photos. I am most excited for the gallery option and being able to post multiple photos on my feed and to have that nice transition from one photo to the next is great! The only template app you need!. The diversity in options is amazing. The fact that there are matching suites of templates is hands down one of the best I’ve seen and used. I love that you can pick back up on a previous design and edit it further. The anticipation for launch was worth it. A beautiful app.

Huge fan!. The ABM team and their collaborators have done it again. This blows similar apps out of the water. This will be added to the short list of the only apps I think about using for photo related work.

Love the app and the potential but still needs improvement. I work so hard and have so much content saved in my gallery. If it’s more than a couple pages even sometimes just for a couple too I go to view or try to save it to my device and it just closes the app entirely so I can’t do anything with the content I spent time creating. Beautiful templates but needs to be improved as it is hit or miss I’ve had to redownload the app several times but then I loose work. My phone storage is not the issue either.

Stupid. If I could give this app 0 starts I would, I went to activate a free trial and the $40.99 came out of my bank account instantly and it signed me up for a year. Load of rubbish and I’m absolutely disgusted. Avoid this app unless you want to be ripped off on the spot.

Love the layouts. It makes my Instagram stories so much nicer by adding a layout!

Nice but way too overpriced. They have nice templates that look like stuff you’ll see on other apps but with original and nice looking twists. But almost everything is unavailable unless you pay for it. Compared to my favorite app there is not much choice unless you pay. And their prices are soooo much higher. Wouldn’t recommend it.

Incorrect information and falsely charged. Honestly I have loved the app and used the free version for a while. I wanted to try out the free trial and after using that for a couple hours I cancelled, before the 3 day trial ended. (As it said when I subscribed) Yet I ended up getting charged for a whole year even after having cancelled. I do not understand why must I be given 3 free trial days if I’m gonna end up getting charged for it as well. That’s was really disappointing

BUYER BEWARE. I purchased some templates from this app and they didn’t download any of the paid templates on my phone. When I wish to create a new template all I see are the two free templates they give and none of my purchases are shown. I emailed the company to address the issue they told me it’s a connection issue and I need to click on the restore purchase tab in which I did and still nothing. I replied to the email addressing the issue got no response. I tried sending another message via their website and I keep getting a failed message that I couldn’t submit my follow up. Maybe because they are new and so certain things needs to be fixed but their response to my issue was quite unprofessional and very unpleasant because they took my money and did not deliver the product.

Love the creativity!. Upon first use the app seems to operate a little slow (I’m using a new iPhone 11). I LOVE the creativity waiting to be unleashed!!! Gorgeous and fun! I can’t wait to use it for my photography account!

Want to love it..... I want to love the app! The different templates are so fun, but I’ve purchased several template packs and they don’t load for me when I try to use them. Really frustrating when I’ve paid for them and they are completely blank when I try to go in to create something.

crashing. update: different OS, same problem. there’s nothing better than spending time after time trying to make a simple IG story, and having it crash as it starts to save!!!! omg, my phone isn’t old, the slides i’m making are not complex (just filling in the slides with photos) - WHY is this still such an issue, years later?? ——— just spent an hour making an ig story on Template …and it crashed. everything i just worked on is gone. please make a way to save what we’re working on or be able to boot the project back up if the app crashes???? what a waste of my time and energy!!

Almost. The second an update comes out to precisely adjust font size, it’s a wrap. This will hands down be one of the apps out there for artists, advertisers, and photographers. Until then, it’ll simply be amazing, and frustrating.

Limited free templates. I love it and the layouts I’ve used are beautiful but most of them are only available if you purchase their monthly subscription. If you’re looking for just simple collage type templates it’s great but anything more just know you have to pay for each one

Upgrade to my Stories. Just the upgrade to my stories that I’m looking for. Bonus that it will help give a cohesive look in my feed as well.

Great app for iPhone. I’ve been working with this app for 3 months. In that time period I have grown all of my social media accounts because of the eye catching visuals that are easy to create with the app.

Pretty Snazzy!. Lots of options and fairly easy to navigate. Some tweaks with the UI would be nice but happy with the selection and ease of use!

User friendly!. I’m excited to play around with this app more, but so far I’ve found it to be very easy and convenient for making a striking insta story in a flash!

Like the templates but hate the glitches. Love this app but I can never access my past projects. It just says “loading content” forever and never pulls up what I was working on. Super frustrating please fix this bug!

Loveeee it. So easy to use, the basic templates are so easy to use and $25 for a year isn’t bad if your constantly taking, editing, and uploading pictures !

Great for stories and posts. This is great for making stylish stories, even if it is usually just pictures of my dog! I highly recommend this if you are looking for a collage app with some artistic elements

Rating the app because it told me to. It’s an awesome app I got it from following zoe sugg (zoella) I am not paying for the app but if I did I would be able to do all the other cool things, but for right now I’m loving it

Interesting Possibilities. I like the options this app has for creative designs for me photo collages. No problems yet, it’s very forgiving for a new user.

Good App. The app itself is great. However it continues to freeze and close out every time I’m in the middle of creating a template for something. If it wasn’t for that the rating would be much higher. Hopefully this can get fixed.

So many ways to create. I love the features of adding multiple videos to a screen, brush + text options, and seemingly endless ways to personalize. Elsie and Emma do it again!

Takes IG stories up a notch!. So far I really like this app. You get quite a few templates for free. I’m looking forward to buying some of the packs eventually and getting creative with my stories!

So much easier. I bought some great templates to use in Photoshop, but sometimes it’s really annoying to batch so many ahead of time. These are amazing!!

A well-designed template app. Normally it takes me way too long to design for Instagram, but these templates make designing for IG so much quicker. I like that there are so many minimalist and editorial styles to choose from.
