Boring. Honest review it is boring. No online stuff like guilds or pvp or competitions for rewards or seasonal rewards like any other gacha would do. There’s literally nothing to it. You pull characters and train them. It gets to a point where you wait 5 years to train them just to get pass a level. Right now all I’m doing is going in the app training and leaving. There have events and rewards yes but I am indifferent because it doesn’t provide any good rewards so I skip them. The drop rates for weapons are so low and you can’t even skip battle that you already beat to farm items instead you have to play the battle again which ends up taking up idk 3 mins or so. If you didn’t get the item guess what? You need to do it again... god so many things they can improve idk how anyone would give a 5 star the game is no incomplete and boring. 2 stars and I’m being generous

Cant wait. Update ur reviews to 5* people unless you can’t read. If you know anything about game launches, you should show appreciation for SQUARE ENIX team for their hard work and preparation for this title release so we can enjoy the game at launch instead of watching a loading screen or server crash errors. Especially considering the downloads they’ve received on their current titles RK, DOO, FFBE, WOTV.

Keep up the good work just add a farming mechanism. Please add a repeat function when it comes to the battle system at the end of the battle instead of saying rematch just make it say auto so then when you Click it it will do it automatically it’s a faster way of farming please and thanks

Good game. It’s a really good good but I suggest to put in auto repeat the quest cause some people are working and won’t have time to press that rematch button and would just to let it run auto it self, so please developer add that in ur game...it’ll make everything better for the ones are busy working

Already a paid to play.. Games like Opera Omnia DONT restrict you with stamina caps. This game already restricts you and if you want to draw, you HAVE TO PAY MONEY. I’ve spent a lot of money on DFFOO because I love it. This is a game I see being deleted from my phone in two weeks. It’s insanity to think that DFFOO has over a million players yet doesn’t shove money requests in your face. I wish other mobile games would catch up already. Our phones are mini-computers so gain some life long users rather than asking me for 5 dollars every day. SMH

Never heard of this but the art style is nice. I saw this today in the App Store as a new release. I’ve played FFE before though lost interest after a few months. I like the art styles for the characters; it’s different and has an “old school” feel. So far it looks to be f2p friendly and they give a lot of gems to summon. I haven’t gotten very far into the story, but it’s interesting. Since I don’t know anything about this game, it’s a completely new story/set of characters for me. I do wish they had an auto finish feature for the story missions that you already completed. Besides that, it seems easy enough to understand. Can’t wait to play more.

Good game, but.... Oh, goody! Another awesome-looking game from the guys that bring you all the great Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest action you could ever want! Yay, another gacha! Unfortunately, we now have three games in recent years that that went up, flashed brightly, then went down hard. All of which tells me that one or more people in marketing need to be retrained or outright fired. Thankfully, this game, though still young , isn't already committing a bunch of early faux pas. No forked draws, good drop rates, and lots of things to keep the player engaged. Now all we need is a good solid story and a decent pricing strategy. None of the other games recently shut down have had these things. Within just a few days, it's possible to get over 50 units to use, but managing them is a bit of a slog. And yes, we are looking at a very obscure RPG series here. Still, if you play your weapons and armor just right, you'll find yourself a decent challenge. All in all, there's quite a bit of room for improvement, but this is well worth the grab.

Basic gacha problems from years past, abound in this game.. Missing tons of quality of life that would make the game somewhat bearable(on phone and tablet, as on a pc via an emulator the problems are mostly solved). Needs at least a times 2 speed option, or skip tickets. Needs the ability to completely disable the use of any chosen skill. Needs an auto repeat for how grindy this game is. Rates for SS NEED to be higher, as you need to summon that unit more than 10 times to come close to maxing then out(and you can pull off banner units on the off chance you even get an SS). Need a full collect/dispatch for expeditions. Training should last like 12-14 hours, not 8 and a half. The BP system is stupid as heck, especially when the ai suffers no such restrictions. Enemies can spam full team hitting abilities, or powerful single target abilities(that would cost the player12+ np each time). The auto ai is terrible(does ok at healing, but that’s about it. TL;DR—This game takes the worst parts of an RPG, and the most base parts of a gacha from like 6 years ago, and expects it to be fun…this is from a one Year player btw. would give it 0 stars but 1 is the lowest as far as I’m aware. And all the 5 star reviews are from the games first 2-3 weeks. Pretty sure this game is dead(no chat or player to player activity), as all they do is push out new banners every few days, with the odd event here and there.

Show item drop rates from quests?. Don’t get me wrong, I have no problem grinding for gear, but to do the same quest 20+ times and not get an S ranked item is a little annoying. At least show some sort of rate like you do with summons so I’m not wasting energy grinding something when it may not even be worth it.

Generous, least stressful and most exciting gacha to date!. I’ve been experiencing many different types of games over the years for mobile. This one is a keeper. I’m 150 days in, and I’m always looking forward to new styles. Sure, we get bombarded with tons of new events, but we’re catching up to japan server. There will be future co op one day where we will conquer regions (some sort of pvp). My recommendation is, play through main story, push for chapters you can do on full auto, unlock the highest expedition you can, and have fun! The sound effects for the skills are the icing on the cake. I’m rank (217), 38,400+ CP and every new style that comes out doesn’t make me think that I need any new styles. The new styles aren’t too strong for content, and they’re not useless either! Compared to most gacha games, this game allows for units to be more versatile and viable to battle with! I’m not much of a spender, but I’ll gladly show my support for in game purchases! Many thanks to the dev team, Square Enix, and Akatsuki for such a finely tuned, creative and original game!

Most Generous Game Ever. First, I must start off by saying I love SaGa. Played and beat every game over the years. Keep coming back. This is your standard, nostalgia-ridden gacha. Where it isn’t standard his how f2p friendly it is. They shower you with gems. Reason enough to support the game. Anything can be conquered if you train hard enough. I love it. Give it a go. It’s simple enough but has tons of complexity for all you Min-Maxers.

Great game. Been playing this game sense release. It’s so F2P friendly, they basically hand you shards to max level ur favorite units or put them in training to slow grind for them. Such a fun game. The only real time sink is how much time you want to put into it to build up your team. You gain stats as you battle so allot of battles are needed to take a unit to their best form. But again, up to you how much time to play. With auto battle it is so simple now to start a repeat battle and let it sit while u work or do other things. Can’t recommend this game enough, it’s an enjoyable game you can spend hours or even just a few minutes in.

Is taking a wrong path. "I've played the game since day one without fail. I liked that it was generous with gems—I would say it was the best free-to-play (f2p) game. However, in the last few months and with this latest patch, everything changed. Gems are now scarce; you no longer get the 2000 gems for completing the weekly events. Instead, you get 150 gems for each box in the new system. The 2000 gems for the bi-weekly event have been replaced by 1500 crystals for weapon fusion. The game seems to be heading down a worrisome path."

Pay to win over priced. Maintenance is way to long for a 2d game. I may race my stars depending on prices for draws and if they to high for a 2d game then it stays a one star and I’ll tell my friends to come and also give one star since they hate crappy high paid gacha that are 2d and they charge 5 or more dollars per draw when this game could take like a month to make. Ok, did a look into the game. Everything is over priced for a 2d game. Why charge prices for the most popular gacha like seven deadly since when you games lacks a lot. Like 3D character games, lack of good story and much more.

Say NO to grind. Press Autocombat, comeback after few minutes. Repeat Ad nauseum. Does this scenario sound all too familiar to you? Is this your idea of having fun? Do you ENJOY doing this for every game? The solution is simple. Let players instantly clear old stages instead of forcing them to sit thru boring combat phases. This problem is not new to this game, but it’s time for players to stand up against this policy of forced grinding. The industry needs to evolve. If a company doesn’t value a player’s time, players should stop supporting companies that still enable forced grinding.

Woulda Give It a 5. For the last 3 Days of playing this game, I loved it, even tho the grinding is on an other level for me. I really do enjoy the ost and the character arts but what really made this review a 4 star was becuz of the lack of player base communication. Sure I saw that there were a to be Guild option soon, but they coulda add a chat log or some sort to allow communcation among the players. And sure, some gacha games were meant to be played on a solo aspect, so I do respect the developers decision but having that Guild option really points out that this is more of a multiplayer aspect. Unless I am wrong.

Best FTP Friendly Gacha. Been playing since to beginning and still going strong. Brand new UI just introduced is great! Easier to use and looks great! They are very generous giving away the premium currency and have a ton of styles to collect and multiple strategies to progress. No PVP! This is a good thing.

Great game, too many crashes.. So far I really enjoy this game, but I can’t really give it more than three stars thanks to the fact that it seems to crash often and at random while playing it on my iPhone 6. If I can play a game like SINoALICE without a problem I don’t really see why I cannot play this without it crashing at random. Even when just sitting at my style screen sometimes it can just crash without any real reason. If this gets resolved I would happily change my rating to five stars, but right now the crashing issues are unbearable.

Solid anyway you can make the game able to play across the screen?. I always play on the iPad and being able to play across the screen as an option instead of up and down be great. Besides that game is good

Love this game!!!. So, so, so happy with this game. I’ve always been very fond of Saga Frontier and I love being able to collect all my favorite characters and play a new story with them. This game is also very F2P friendly!!! Great game and can’t wait to see how far it goes.

Absolutely fun to play, keep on coming back for more. One of the most generous and fun games I’ve played. Characters are fun to play, the music is top notch, and I’ve even tried out other SaGa games thanks to this game. Square Enix, the producer of this game, and Akatsuki hit a gold mine with this; please keep up the good work! This game I will gladly spend money on hoping for more SaGa games in the future.

Unbelievable!. Never have I come across devs as generous and yet known as square enix for a mobile title! This is and will be probably the only 5 star right off the back rating I will ever give any mobile game ever! From the start you are enticed and drawn in from their legendary storyline, one of SE strongest point, the retro graphics turn base aspects gives you a grand sense of old school jrpg, and lastly I have to send my thanx, to the devs and whomever had a hand in this game, for the epic journey I am about to embark on, for the generous gifts that go above and beyond what any devs have gone and for everything else I may not have mentioned! I look forward to keeping with this game and I can truly say this game, and the people behind it, I am more than happy to support in whichever way I can! Problem and suggestion. You guys need to find a way to improve the daily logins. Before I can even get into the game I have to tap ok on 5 login screens, its very annoying. Also since you need to repeat some stages to get gear and characters, it would be nice if you add and auto replay feature so we don’t have to pressing battle start over and over.

It makes a great first impression. I’m finding the summon animation hilariously over the top especially when a SS appears. Please consider making one even crazier whenever this app has a collaboration with another mobile game or something! Menus are neat and organized, tutorial isn’t long like most other games and it gets to the point. I’m hoping one day it gets a Final Fantasy collab. That usually keeps me interested in a mobile title much longer.

Devs getting more generous each event!. This game scratches the late 80’s early 90’s turn based RPG itch better than any other mobile game! Thanks for all the great games SquareEnix. I will continue to support Re RS Universe! (You should too) Didn’t play for about 7 months.. come back and see the game has more to do than ever; devs are still super generous.

Unique gacha game. This is definitely a good free-to-play friendly gacha game. It’s game play is very similar to Final Fantasy Record Keeper, but has a smoother feel to it. The character art is beautiful to look at, and has your “80’s RPG.” As for the gacha, I’m neutral about, consider that I stay free to play. However, you don’t have to be pay to win yo make progress in the game.

Beat game. This game is one of the best ive ever played and i cant wait to see what they do in the future with the game theres so many possibilities they could make guild wars pvp or just something to give the game a competitive side and so far im happy with the game ive been playin all day and i can say ill be a fan of this game untill it gets old and by that i mean years and years to come but i also want to make one suggestion, (add some pvp or guild wars pls people might want something different from just story and collecting characters especially if theres already guilds coming soon)

A honest players review.. Honestly one of the best games mobile games I have played. I usually play them a delete them once, they get pay to win but with this game you don’t need to that. You can all the characters for free, yea free. You can active 1-2 days a week and still get everything done. Events are weekly and you have more than enough time to finish them all even investing minutes a day. Story is updated every 2-3 weeks and events are weekly. A big thank you to everyone who did any work on this game. Plus this the first game I ever reviewed after playing. Thank you and have an awesome day.

I’ve played the Japanese version. I played the Japanese version of this game and it is very easy to understand how to play and I for one liked the fact that we have it for global and can’t wait to collect my favorite characters all over again and actually understand the story so please blow my mind please.

Good Game. It’s good all around. The rates, summon availability and difficulty are all properly balanced. When you strengthen your characters by farming it actually feels like you’re making progress. Harder level content requires some strategy which is nice if you’re endgame. My only gripe is that the asian server received two SS pulls from a Facebook event while the Global server did not. The game allows you to choose the server before you start which makes me question why anyone would choose global when they’ll miss out on rewards like that. Other than that terrible decision, the game has been pretty enjoyable so far and I look forward to what comes next

Great game but servers are slow?. A fan of the franchise so started playing when I saw this today. The game itself is great but every action leads to a loading icon on lower right of the screen and a variable wait that could lead to a network message. Really need to strengthen the servers it will lose players. Current lags will quickly become too much to bear.

Ignore 5 star reviews. This game becomes exponentially grindy after only two days of play. Then there’s nothing to do because you won’t be strong enough to progress. I’ve already exhausted all my resources, leveling up more actually helps less and less based on how they designed the game, and I can’t get good gear without progressing the story. So I’m stuck. Don’t waste your time with this one guys. It’s basically another “gacha” game with very clear pay walls. It’s not even a GOOD gacha game. The A rank and S rank hero’s are useless. Even the best SS rank hero’s (which is what my whole team is compromised of) isn’t strong enough to do anything. I have 20,000 free diamonds sitting around because what am I gonna do? Summon more SS hero’s? Pointless. That won’t improve my team. It would only fractionally get better for an insane amount of extra grinding and leveling. Probly will uninstall soon

AMAZING. I never leave reviews but this one is worth it. I’ve played a million gatcha games and this one is unique and awesome. I’m a huge fan of the franchise but you don’t have to be to love this offering. Anyone who’s leaving a bad review should be ignored. Give it a chance and you’ll be happy you did trust me.

Pacing is terrible. I only have one criticism and it’s a big one. You’re given so much right from the get go that most of the game feels like a chore. Why should I unlock skills in my a ranks when I have an entire ss team after a couple hours? Because of this pacing completing the main story is trivial ( no point in going into team planning and elemental strategy.) With no info on the second chapter I’m left wondering what all this is for. I paid nothing and am done after 3 days of casual play

Bug crashes. I’m temporarily putting one star because I have not been able to open the game for more than a week now due to a blank white load screen. I think I’ve missed a lot of limited time events and chances to gather material and resources. The team said they’re working on a fix but I haven’t heard of anything from the team in more than a week and I don’t even know if they’re still working on it. I think this game is awesome but it’s just sad when I try loading it up every morning to get the same error, over and over.

Different From Other Gachas. I picked this up as a longtime SaGa series fan, and I have not been disappointed. The artwork, music, and gameplay are all throwbacks to the classic SaGa games. 16-bit fans will feel right at home. Gameplay can be challenging, but with enough time, strategy, and effort you can get everything out of the game. I give special credit to the developers for designing the game in a way that allows for F2P players to remain competitive, while definitely making it rewarding to make the occasional purchase if you decide to go that route. My only complaints would be the breakneck pace of new content and the need for constant grinding that comes with it. I understand that this is to get the global release caught up to Japan, but I could still use a breather from time to time. At least I can keep it going in the background while working from home! Lastly, I just want to note that it has been clear since launch that the developers care about the game’s fans. The global bonuses, Twitch stream giveaways, and overall effort put into it show that they value their players and the care of the SaGa series. I will keep supporting the game with the occasional jewel purchase as long as they keep delivering new content.

Excellent game. Many gacha opportunities for free players compared to make games of its type. Superb SNES-style spritework. A really interesting system for handling character duplicates. Plus, it manages to port over the glimmer system from RS (called “grasping” here) to give you those “OHHHHHH!!!!” moments from time to time. Really good game for a Romancing SaGa fan, and I reckon first-time players would also enjoy it.

5 star but needs improvement. While the art of each character is nice, but the pixel versions of the characters seems a step down from what i remember of saga frontier’s graphics. Also the prices in the shop seem a bit pricey for virtual data currency. Tbh i think they took brave frontier setup for the shops and gameplay and filled it up with saga frontier and romancing saga characters. I might play it for a little while, but im not sure ill spend any money on it.

Okay...Gacha. This game has all the right ideas, but fails in the monetization of upgrades as most Gachas do. So, with this title you get massive amounts of currency and tickets for summoning. Also, the pull rates for SS units is fair. Skills are learnable through play which provides an incentive to use the units actively for progression. That is where the F2P aspects end for this game. Style evolution requires and absurd number of duplicate units to limit break (lvl max increase). With a full day of play, 20k gem pulls (6 multis), 2 premium multi pulls, 10 premium 5 pulls, and 5 single pulls I managed to get 8 SS units and 1 duplicate for 2 of said SS units. That got me limit break +5 (lvl35). The number of pieces required goes up every 3 evolutions (lbs) and additional resources are required after the first 5. If 1 dupe gets you 40 pieces I can’t even guess the number you would need to reach lvl50, but if they are following other gachas then it will likely be around 10-15 dupes in total to max a unit. At roughly $99 for that same number of pulls from paid premium...possibly 2 dupes per transaction...that makes a max lvl unit roughly $500. This doesn’t even take into account weapons and gear needed for those units to be viable. SE can tout this game as F2P all they want, but in the end it is designed to stall F2P and generate revenue from whales willing to spend for min/maxed units as all gachas are designed to do.

A Gacha that shatters the mold. Romancing saga re;universe comprises multitudes of remixes of the best songs of the franchise, winning entries of its own, and a gameplay loop that stays true to the series’ core and evolutions throughout the years. I cannot recommend it enough. F2p friendly? How about taking your core starting party and feeding their exp gullets to help increase the stats of all future pulls of those characters, no matter the version. (E.g. Common rarity Polka shares his status gains with the super rare Polka; even your low tier units help you build into later gains) Whale friendly? Absolutely. Pay for your convenience, and not for ez, boring wins: Power is not buyable, but ease of content approachability is.

The wait is over!!!. I recently got into romancing saga 3 and saga frontier 2 a year ago. Then by pure chance I stumbled across a video of the Japanese version of this mobile game! I have to say it’s been a long wait for the global release, but it’s definitely worth it. The game is simple and very reminiscent of the original SaGa games. If you’re new, don’t worry, the controls, mechanics and gameplay are extremely simple Secondly, the game is very generous to players in general. Whilst like every gacha game there are payment options, this particular one relies heavily on strategy, so it is very Free to play friendly. In fact, it is the main reason why I played the Japanese version ( regardless of my lack of Japanese linguo). All in all it’s a great game and I recommend to anyone willing to give it a shot.

More interaction between characters would be great. I’ve always been playing and replaying Romancing Saga 3, so this is the perfect homage to the game. Because of this game, I’m tempted to buy the remake for mobile too. If only there are even more interactions between characters within the game, like Cordelia wanting to find Wil (and actually did so), what happens next? Since we know what happens to Cordy, giving her more dialogues outside game story with Wil is what she deserves! Additionally, being able to choose what music plays while in Vanguard (Home Screen) would be great, especially after the Romancing saga 2 event where the music theme changed. It was part of he reason why I log in!

Top Tier Mobile Game. This game is a hidden gem if you actually give it a chance to really play it. Currently about 152 days playing party CP is 56,728. I really do enjoy playing this game. Everything just kinda feels unique about it. I started played games like 7 deadly sins grandcross it’s kinda similar but I started playing that one more because it has a PvP system and ranking system and it would matchmake based off your ranking and whoever CP or Combat Class is higher goes first. I think this game would be the only mobile game I would play if it had PvP. This game is still a work of art.

Good but.... I really like the game. It’s really good. But there’s one thing to fix. I started playing this on a different device and chose to link data through a google account. Then I was going to transfer data to my iPhone. The only options were Facebook and apple. I don’t have Facebook. Please fix this. I will change my review to 5 stars once it gets fixed

Finally found my perfect mobile game. If memory serves me right, I have never written a review on the App Store before. I had to for this. I have never played a SaGa game before, but I plan to play them all now. I love everything about this game. I have been searching for the perfect mobile game for me for a long time, and I have finally found it. The art, music, sprites, gameplay, growth & style system, I love it all. The only thing I hope to see in the future is possible guilds, just to be able to interact with other players. Either way, I love this game. Try it, you won’t be disappointed, especially if the art style is nostalgic for you.

Best RPG mobile game. This game is quite fun even if it just came out like 10 minutes ago I still love it I’m giving it a 5 rate star because so far the game seems like it’s going to have a good story and it just that You guys are my favorite game Company I’ve played so many of your games well I never got the chance to play the other mobile games but I did get to play lots of your original console games. I also love of you guys have enough time to probably do both creat a all new Mobile RPG and still be creating console games around this time. I love you guys and keep up the good work!!!🤩🤩🤩

Really nice RPG. I love it so far. I’m a new player to this genre, but I have to say it’s a lot of fun. It has so many characters, and so many ways to upgrade them, and level them up. You can never really get bored with the same old characters, that’s for sure. Love playing and will keep playing so I can become stronger! Highly recommend anyone to try this.

Romancing Saga Re;Universe. I’ve been playing this game for almost 3 years now and I cannot quit it! I’ve played many mobile gachas over the past years but this one is The Keeper. It’s a veritable carnival ground for turn based RPG gamers. I highly recommend!

Great Game but there are some problems... Overall, I enjoy playing this game! Been playing for a whole week straight and like most mobile games like this, you’re going to have to grind a lot. Even with a whole team of SSR, pick carefully the skill you use next turn. The only con I have is obtaining shards. Without them you can only advance to lv30 (lv50 is max) but getting shards for SSR is really really difficult without selling your kidney. You’ll need around 100 shards to get to lv40 but that’s when it get really difficult. Now you’ll need 20 shards to level up once. Then 40, then 60, then 90, then 120 shards. Farming for R and S is do-able but SSR is just way too difficult.

Stop review bombing. The developers already stated in the game that they would need to have maintenance. You expect every game that you like to come out on the exact date it stated it would, with not troubles at all? They aren’t extending the date for fun; they are trying to improve the game to give you a better experience. Being salty about them trying to better the game while you are out here giving the game 1 star because you’re impatient is just toxic. Seeing such a great looking game getting review bombed by people who can’t wait a a couple days for it to be released disgust me.

It’s alright. It was kinda boring

Enjoyed it more than Romancing SaGa 2 and 3. It’s such a therapeutic game. It rewards you on skill and effort on levelling rather than gacha. You even had a challenge mode where you had to use bad characters to pass stuff. Sure, some characters can be overpowered, but this game is quite generous and loved it so much I did want to spend to support it.

Perfect if you’ve played too much FFBE. This is a really great new FFBE style game I am really enjoying the storyline were as with FFBE I always skipped the story as I thought it was poorly written boring and I didn’t like the character designs of the storyline characters. However I played the crap out of that game and just can’t play it anymore. I really recommend SaGa it’s fantastic I’m so glad I can get into a new well done gacha game I hope for many new features and updates as well as a long profitable life for this fantastic game.

I dare you to complain. Excellent developers, excellent game, just a great experience.

Energy system. Another let down on the App Store. Limited by energy, weak story. And not much of else to do. Normally these types of games have the “tower feature” as a bonus or way to get extra Mats. But this one uses the tower system as it’s main story line.

[BUG] Cannot proceed normal story mode after episode 5. I seems like a bug. I’m stuck after i finished 5-2-12 stage in a normal mode. It doesn’t show the next episode or stage.

Brings back memories and i can relive the experience as a casual player. Exactly as i remember the game and it includes the whole series characters and more. Its old school so only those from my generation would appreciate it probably.

ads volume need to be changed. game is ok but the ada which earns you the gems always has volume on even when game volume is turned off. this is extremely annoying, fix it

Fantastic game!. I’ll admit from the outset I’m biased as I’m a big SaGa fan already. So it should be no surprise that I love this game. I love it for more than just the fanboy bit though, it’s a genuinely good game. You can tackle anything in-game if you put the time into it to get good stats, the variety of styles allows for different strategies to handle harder content, and so far the game is very generous with free gems and stamina refills. It’s a real difference from other gacha games and I’m really enjoying it!

Fun but needs oomph. The game itself in terms of mechanics + a different take on battle system compared to other mobile games I’ve played is good fun and interesting to see. The only thing lacklustre for me personally is the lack of depth in the story since I don’t really feel much from the characters and the story seems a little rushed at some points. Decent game though, just lacks a really good story

Good old school rpg.....but. The only thing that takes away from this being a fantastic throw back to the old school JRPG is the terrible odds for drops, especially a specific character called Rouge. You can effectively level your account from 1 to 80 an never get him as it’s a pathetic 0.67% drop rate. The style system is fun adds some customisation to characters. The music is the highlight of this game.

Issue with equipment evolution. Once I evolve a piece of equipment it shows the evolution level. But then if I upgrade the level on it all equipment I've evolved no longer shows the evolution level until I evolve a new piece of equipment. Then again if I go to raise the level the evolution level disappears again.

Call to classic RPG fans. This is an ode to classic and story driven RPG games of the past Make no mistake the development and gameplay takes cues from modern day games and mechanics such as the summoning system but the from the graphics to story and character development, this is a game for everyone from classic JRPG fans to modern day new ones.

Not another autobattler. The way you develop your characters is deceptively deep and the art style is a refreshing break from the same anime look. SaGa is cool and SE is wise in developing this franchise further and giving people opportunities to go deeper into the series.

FFRK 2.0. I have played FFRK for 5 years and have gotten burnt out. This game seems pretty fun so far. I don’t have any knowledge of the RS universe, so I know nothing about the characters I get or any of the lore / backstories. Music and graphics are beautiful. Hopefully they add some PVE stuff in the future, that was my favorite part of FFRK.

Fast forwarding. Is there a fast forward option or skip dungeon?

Too much farming. There is no gameplay. Just tedious menu surfing and then you automate a team and leave it on auto. Thats the game. The art is pretty, but the game itself is…its not a game. Its an art collecting sim.

Gacha King. Like the only gacha I’ve tried that actually feels like it wants me to play it, very fun!

Tutorial. Stop forcing us to click things during tutorial and just tell us what to do, not lock game till we click what you want. Stop forcing tutorial on us if we want to see the story. Let us remove unwanted characters from party.

SS story drop rate. It took me 2 days to grind a SS character rouge from a story and still didn’t get it ... why the drop rate so low must change ... will give 5 stars

Pretty, but not great. So, if you played Star Ocean: Amnesis before they stopped supporting it, this will feel very similar. Except the story is slower to make sense, the tutorial is extra long, and the customize party and leveling functions are more confusing. I've played quite a few of the SaGa games before, and I wanted to jump in for Asellus, but it's just needlessly complicated and I wasn't enjoying it or interested in Polka's story.

I have 20 SS characters!!. I’ve been playing this game entirely free for the past month & have gotten so many gems it’s crazy! it’s 100% possible to play & be good at this game entirely free!! The daily login gifts are off the chain! Thanks Devs!

Stop being little babies. Just because the game is in maintenance for 2 days, doesnt mean its bad. DONT GIVE IT A 1 star when you have nothing to criticize it off of.

The Best RPG/5 stars. One of Square’s best rpg of it class, low gacha rates for f2p players, and back to back epic UDX banners, been playing for 3 years and still great end game content!

Good but. The constant crash making it impossible to play which killed the mood for me

No auto repeat. Lacks auto repeat. Game doesn’t respect your time. Paid and free banners. Monthly card shadily doesn’t specify it gives you non-paid gems everyday. UI is horribly outdated, slow, and a nightmare to navigate. No quick jump to stages that have the materials you’re looking for. Money is a serious issue, can’t even afford training for shards anymore while still doing gold dungeon 2x a day. Being broke is never fun. Gear progression is awkward; S rank gear never drops in hard, and is present in very hard stages you can’t do yet because you don’t have S gear lol. Training is tedious. Don’t make players constantly check if they’re still earning shards or not. It should be passively going in the background.

I’m confused. I don’t know what people are complaining about. I have over 2 million arum, 79,000 gems and over 20 SS styles and have yet to spend any real money on this game. My parties have no problems in battles. This is a great game. Thanks devs. Keep up the good work.

Best mobile game ever!!!. I love how much you can do in this game and the amazing sprite and character details that the developers put into this game, by far the best mobile game , the game is generous with new players and full of content , keep it up square enix this game is awesome!!

Too many login popups. Highly annoying to have popup spam when you get in the game. I always end up uninstalling just because of that, unbelievably crazy they think that’s acceptable.

Wow what an unbelievably bs game. It’s all good until you get to “end game” stuff like coliseum level 3 where a single ruffle tree spams pollen attack and aoe’s your entire party with confusion and mass damage. I just can’t even with this game. All ss characters level 39 with s weapons fully evolved but apparently that’s not good enough. Seems like they ran out of content so purposefully made endgame impossible until further updates. Not to mention the game stops at chapter 5

favorite gacha game. been playing this game for over 2 years; very fun time-killer. love the daily tasks to keep me focused, and let the battles auto-run while i'm at work or at the gym. also it's a SaGa game, so the battle strats are fun 🥰

Every games are 5 stars rated...why bother read review. Serious flawed review system or intentionally ignored by iTunes and google play. Who loses? Consumers wasted tens of hours and money on crap games like these. This game is garbage. Don’t bother wasting your time or money. -equipments, enemies, character development are nonexistent. Rather than spending time pushing out new characters, spend some time on making the game enjoyable. Example: pretty much all weapon type uses the same gif and the weapons bonus does not make sense. The event rewards is a joke.

F2P Friendly with a Caveat. Super F2P friendly. You can clear all of the current content with free Styles. But the game is super GRINDY. If you can’t devote a lot of time to leveling stats your progress will show it. Decent little game.

Generous!. This is one of the most generous gacha RPG battle games. It’s easy to build a good team. They put the challenge into HOW you build and customize your team and characters rather than the challenge being WHETHER you pull someone good. Lots to do and discover, cute sprites, surprisingly deep strategy.

Fantastic Mobile version of SaGa. RE;Universe is a fantastic translation of the classic SaGa series to mobile gaming. It has the feel of a SNES or PS1 era RPG, with deep strategizing required to beat some of the tough fights. Great music, beautiful character art and charming character sprites in battle. Highly recommended!

Room for improvements but overall I enjoy it. First off don’t listen to the players who complain about spending money. You can play this game entirely free and get everything you need from events (although spend it wisely because you only get so much per event). Plus the game is constantly giving out free upgrade materials and gems so you have a steady supply of it, although they are tied to events and there is always a new event (so much so that whenever an event ends a new one takes its place so you never run out of things to do). This brings me to my first and only possible con of the game, there is an overwhelming amount of events, I have been playing for awhile now and have just been playing events/sub quests exclusively and never touched the main story. Although there always an event going on, I will say though that events is the best way to grind for gears, materials, and exp to level up your characters, so despite the con it does help you in achieving materials for your units. And even at level 1 events have easy quests too that are accessible to lower level units and players, which helps them quickly level up and get to the harder event quests for better materials. As for the gacha rates, I think they’re pretty good, may not always get the unit you want but you will get good units nonetheless and there’s always new units with each event. In conclusion, great game, there are room for improvements but try it if you’re curious or are a fan of the pixel art and JRPG turn base format. Also tip: it gets grindy fast because character skills can be ranked up but only by using said character and having said character perform that skill over and over again. The higher ranked the skill the more damage it does or heal if it’s a healing ability. On top of that quests will yield you crappy weapons, good weapons are obtain once again through sub quests and events in which you collect materials and trade them for the weapons and gears you want (although they are limited to 1 redeem per high grade gear) This is a solo game so yes expect chat to be dead because there’s no real player to player interaction really needed to play the game. Been playing (f2p) for awhile and grinded for everything from either events or got the free materials from the game during new events and have 2 fully maxed out units with the rest being all over the place since when I started I didn’t have a clear focus and used the materials on everyone I could. Last but not least, Gems, they serve no other purpose than to summon units and eventually at some point you realize units are just overwhelming and you have too many just sitting there and don’t need anymore. At that point gems just kind of sit there (they can be used for other basic things too like replenishing energy but mainly summons). I have like 50 SS units and I ever only use like 10 (my main team for quests and events and my side team that I’m just using just to level them up) the rest just sits there.

A Warm Welcome. Well I’ve just started playing, but I had to comment: it is not often a game starts you with more premium currency (gems) than standard currency (gold).

Great game but…. Great SaGa collectors game. For the love of god, give the ability to turn off tips/walk throughs. I don’t need to learn everything everytime I switch or load into a new device. Game sadly wont last another year.
