Too many ads. I’m still trying to figure out how to read this app but while I do that, I keep getting all kinds of ads. Super annoying.

needs a way to opt out of ads. Great app but no way to pay to get rid of the ads. In app purchase or pro version would be nice and would make the review a 5 star.

Malware ads - beware!. Came up with a malware "your phone is full" fake warning malware ad. Immediately uninstalled.

Some what helpful. I like to have the opportunity to get the notifications of the possibility of seeing Aurora. But 99% of the time it’s not happening in my area so it’s kind of like a dud.

Great Aurora App. Everything works and is easy to read. Shows your time zone time in easy to read graph. A got to have!

Worked perfectly. Used this last night in Iceland to predict the Northern Lights appearance. We had been trying for close to 8 days. Last night was perfectly clear and with the help of this app we were able to view the lights for close to a half hour. Thanks for a great app!

one of my bucket items. I plan to be ready when the app says I will have a chance. Thank you. This app is Awesome. It gives it to you in scientific terms, but explains everything in commonmbthh. Keep up the good work. Ps, can you make the lights visible in Cincinnati please. If you can do that I will give you ten stars Just kiddn

Great app. Thanks this app was very useful, easy to understand .

So many ads it’s useless. The info is there, but you’re bombarded by a ton of noisy ads at every turn. Either let me pay to opt out, or reign them in. Uninstalling this and relying on my other apps until you fix the problem. It’s just not worth the hassle.

It’s nice but too many alerts. And unclear how I’d switch to daily alerts rather than anytime the sun makes the tiniest move. You can switch the level it will alert at (am giving that a try) but not the frequency.

Best of the aurora apps so far. Very straightforward.

Useless. Ads pop up at very inopportune times and the data load is very buggy. It’s basically useless.

Northern lights. This is the third app I have downloaded and tried. This one is the keeper!! It explains what to look for and you don’t have to be an astronaut to know when the northern lights will be in your area 👍

Fantastic for the newbie!. Fantastic app with all the important data necessary to catch the northern lights when they’re out. What makes this app different, is that it explains what the data actually means. I have not seen that anywhere else. I highly recommend! The developers are responsive to improvement suggestions, as well. Go get it downloaded, so you can be prepared for next big show!

Northern Lights. As an avid consumer of anything and everything science, especially in the field of astronomy, I truly appreciate this app. I like how pertinent details (of the Sun) which explain how the light display is produced are explained in the discussion section. The dialogue is heavy in detail, but it’s enlightening to read. The graphics depicting where the lights are predicted to display is always helpful. I’m always ready to observe the lights whenever traveling to northern Wisconsin and the app is always ready for action.

App run amok. This app has gone into hyper mode - I shut off all notifications, but it still pings me with alerts (it’s 1:35am, at this moment). Help! When I do go up to the WI Northwoods, I’d love to use this, but meanwhile I need my sleep! I have no choice but to delete this.

Useful!. This app has a variety of forecasts as well as varying ways of visualizing the data it gives you. Very useful and replaced my previous aurora app. The developers are fast to reply to questions via email.

Great app for living in viewing range. We’re in North Dakota and it’s rare we get to see it but we do thanks to this app!

Need to use everyday language. This may be a great app but the information is too technical, written by and for scientists. I don’t understand the information, even with a masters degree but not in science.

Delightful. I enjoyed this app so much last summer while in Maine. I am very excited that visibility may be improved in locations a bit farther south than where we watched from last August, due to the clearer skies that we are all experiencing. This app has inspired me to learn more about the night sky!

Useless. If you’re like me and got this app so you could be alerted when the Aurora was visible from where you live, then you will be disappointed. For example, it will not be dark here until 3-4 hours from now. Yet, this application has been spamming my notifications for the past hour. It goes on fits where it will spam notifications - never actually at a time when it would be possible to see Aurora from my location. And then when the Aurora IS visible from my location, nothing. I’ve had this app for a year, and live in a location where Aurora is visible a handful of times a year, and this app has never notified me that Aurora is visible. I always find out the next day, in the news. In my opinion, the best way to ensure you are notified is to set-up alerts based on Twitter mentions / keywords.

Dark mode. An app primarily used for nighttime viewing doesn’t have dark mode. Seems odd
