Not the best…. I wish I could give 5 stars to this app but it thinks geese are orca whales. It also tends to glitch with the fact that when you take a picture of an animal and it correctly identifies it, then you take another picture of an animal, the app will say the next animal is the same as the animal you first took a picture of. It basically is repeating the first action it took. I feel that this app needs an upgrade to be even close to the level of its fellow identifiers, PictureThis and Picture Insect.

Cool but. I’m really enjoying this app it’s helped me find out a couple of animals that I found like figure out their names and stuff but I kept trying to take a picture of my dog and he kept calling it a skunk or a monkey or a cat so maybe to add dogs if it’s not in there otherwise great app love it

Weird app. When I downloaded this game it thought my dog was a can and swans were goat though this app did call my brother an ape I’ll give it a pass

Completely inaccurate. I took a picture of a moth and it said it was a banded bullfrog, if an app can’t tell the difference between a moth and a frog then I think it’s safe to say that this app is horrible at its job .

It is the best animal identifier app in the world but one thing. It is the best app in the world that identifies bugs! But it sometimes gets it wrong but I am pretty sure that is my fault cause I didn’t take a good picture. Other than that it is a really cool app! It had made my life easier. Instead of looking up the definitions of the bug and trying to find it the app does it for you! Thank you to the creators to this app!

Sad. No sound recognition = useless…

disappointed. i tried figuring out what breed my new bunny was and it kept saying cat no matter every angle. this app does not work like it says its supposed to. i wouldnt recommend to download. i was really excited to find out my bunnys breed.

This app is a lie and trash. My parrot looks like a muskrat???? And my Grandmas Australian Shepard looks like a turtle....? This app is one of the biggest lying apps I have been seen. The app has no idea what anything actually is it just pops up some animals on the bottom of the screen that have that same color... some of them don’t even have the same color! Because one thing is for sure my green parrot looks nothing like a muskrat! Don’t get this app and I should have listened to the other comments but I wanted to try it out for myself especially since I love to be in the wild and I always want to know what an animal I found is. DO NOT GET THIS APP!

TOTAL CRAP. Okay so sorry that’s what I titled it, just like I said. It’s a crappy app that can only correctly identify a HUMAN. It thought my friend was an APE. It’s a stupid app with no meaning and I LOVE your other apps by the way. This one was just crap. So please fix these things. And just so you know. It thought a piece of HAIR, Was a WORM 🪱.! PLEASE FIX THIS STUPID APP THEN I WILL RATE IT BETTER. It’s a terrible app. PLEASE DONT GET IT. Oh and yea my pics were in COMPLETE FOCUS. Thank you for reading this review.

Pretty good game. I downloaded this game and it was amazing! It is such a good game! The only problem is I scanned my puppy three times and the app thought it was a northern giraffe a mouse and a lizard. But then I realized that the problem was that my puppy was not in focus 🎧. So that means it was not the game’s fault and it was my fault. And I downloaded the game by seeing an ad of the game👁. And I really liked the game so I tried to look for it in App Store and I downloaded the app.

Worst app. I give this zero stars!!! But it won’t let me do that so I have to give it at less one. So i downloaded this app and I took a pic of a insect that I didn’t know about .. and this stupid app told me it was a queen snake😂😀 .. don’t waste your time with this app I deleted it in 2 minutes

Works sometimes. It can work sometimes and not work I scanned a leopard and it worked perfectly and I scanned a bird that I do not know and it did not work

Weird glitches. What are you should I add a picture of an alligator gar it said it was an American crocodile same thing with a lot of other animals. It was saying that they were animals that don’t even look like the picture

It works. This app actually worked for me when I scanned my brother it said human and I scanned my tortoise it said desert tortoise! It does need some better identification and it needs to focus really well but it works!

Works but doesn’t. Ok so I g9t this app to see if it could get the breeds right on my pets. So I have a corgi mix with Aussie and I had a picture of her. I put it in and it said she was a GOAT!! Then I have a longhorn (cow) and it said he was a bison!! It works on some animals but overall I wouldn’t use it I do like the plant app though that these people made so I recommend that one only. Srry!😁😁😁

App glitches. Used to enjoy this app. But it has not worked in couple months and support has offered suggest but nothing works. Paid for nothing. Very disappointed.

Nice attempt or a good start.. The descriptions aren’t the best and it gives you three different choices of what the animal is and one choice is unknown or not found. It’s a good start but needs improvement.

Yikkes! Way too many incorrect ID’s!. Many of the common animals I photographed came up empty or totally wrong! An emu came up as a common bat!!? There are so many prank/stupid photos of cats and people clogging the feed. I was hoping this would be a useful tool for fellow wildlife rehabilitators, but I cannot recommend this. I wanted to help ID here and share the app. It’s very disappointing. The admins and creators need to clean this up.

Not as bad as they say!. The app is very good at identifying pictures of animals. Took a picture of my cat and it identified it as a feral cat or domestic cat. That seems very accurate to me. It’s a good app. Stop giving it a bad review, people!

It doesn't do what it says it will do. So. I downloaded this on a hike to see if it would identify a caterpillar. It said it was a frog, and so far I thought that was ok, because caterpillars aren't bugs. So I was bored later and I decided to give it a try on my pets. It said that my dog was a fruit bat, or a domestic cat! All I'm saying is that it's not very accurate. If you are looking for something that's more accurate, I'd recommend doing a little research to see what it is instead of downloading this app.

I took a picture of my dog and it said he was a feral cat. I took another picture of my dog and it said he was an antelope. My dogs not even big or brown. Then I took a picture of my face expecting that I would be HUMAN. It told me I looked like a goat. Is this app a joke or something? Sure seems like it...

Great. The title says it all

So bad it’s almost comical. This app is so bad that it is actually hysterical and has brought us some laughs. Never once has it come even close to correctly identifying an animal that we have uploaded. Then for fun, my daughter decided to upload pictures of our Corgis to see if the app could at least get them right…nope. The app was positive that one was a cat, which ok, not even close but I get it, the ears, the other Corgi, the 29 pound big boy, was identified as a gerbil. That is one big freaking gerbil! 😂😂 We laughed to tears over that one. Now to be fair, I didn’t know if the app could identify bugs, but I thought I would give it a try so I uploaded a picture of an odd fly a friend asked me about. The results? A frog, a snake, or a bear. A bear?!?!? I just can’t. Unless you want this app just for the laughs, don’t even bother, it’s complete garbage.

Good app. In all this is a good app for insects but for birds it gets it wrong a lot. It asks for you to buy premium way too much and it gets very annoying.

HORRIBLE APP. I wanted to find an app that can identity animals so I got this app and when I tried to find out what kind of squirrel was in yard lit said it was like four different kinds of squirrels and im so mad about this next one. Excellent, add brightness setting and advance pictures.. Ok so I was trying to take a picture of a spider, and recently some ants. For the spider it kept saying snake or squirrel, for ants it showed frogs and toads. Of course for spider it was on a carpet and the ants were in a crack in the sidewalk.

It’s fine, but sometimes incorrect. So I downloaded this app because me and my sibling found a wild lizard. I took a picture of the lizard and it actually got it correct. But then, we took a picture of our two dogs because we just wanted to mess around a little. It said the first dog was a dog, then it said the second dog was a green-cheeked parakeet. (WHAT?!) at first we thought it was just because we took a picture of the dog sleeping. We took another one and it said dog. It was probably because the dog had a little turtle toy in the background. We wanted to take a picture of the toy and we did, but it said it was a parrot. But the reason I gave this a three star review is because I use it for taking pictures of my family and friends. Why? Because it says funny results. The last time I took a picture of my cousin, it said he was a fried- chicken mushroom. 😂

did not expect to see gore. i saw a picture of a turtle (pond slider) that essentially looked like someone smashed it with a hammer. this is widely inappropriate, it wasn’t like for educational purposes like an autopsy or anything it was just gore and it disturbed me. please don’t accept images like this.

I’m annoyed. I tried to use the app to find out what breed of dog one of my dogs is. I had to retake the photo because eit thought it was a “cattle bison hybrid” I MEAN COME ON. It didn’t even say the breed when it worked it just said DOG. I mean COME ON! It thought my betta fish was a monkey ;-;

This app is completely wrong. I took a picture of the grass and it said the was a gopher.i also took a picture of my fat dog and the said my dog was a New Mexico black bear

Lol you’re joking. This app is awful. It said my uncle was a brown bear, and my aunt’s dog was a Baltic grey seal. I found a (later I found out what it was) baby hawk. It said the hawk was a HEDGEHOG! And then it said it was a squirrel. This app is so lame. There is a plant scanner and it work amazing. It wasn’t made by these people though. This is like a joke app.

Hilarious, but it doesn’t work!. This app only works on pictures from google! If you try a picture that you took, it’s not even close. It thought a crayfish was a salamander and that a swan was a hippo.

Not worth paying for. Beta version?. It keeps identifying me as a primate; which of course is correct. However I corrected the identification to Homo sapiens. I’ve done it four times now and it still hasn’t learned. It also identified a ribbon snake in Florida as a garter snake that occurs in the Midwest. The app obviously needs to use the GPS ability of my iPhone or iPad to determine my location before identifying the animal. It’s right 80% of the time but I won’t spend any money the premium version until they fix the bugs. In contrast their plant identification app is awesome.

Horrible. If I could give a negative 5 stars, I would. The camera has NOT identified any animals correctly for me. I would expect better from a FREE app which this app is NOT.

Weird app. I downloaded it to see what species of rabbit I have but it keeps telling me that’s it’s a cat.

Good app but a few questions?. I really like this app especially because it doesn’t just do animals but also a lot more in nature! The only weird thing is that if go to doctor paws or whatever his name is you can research pretty much anything. That is a little weird because the app says picture nature which should only have to do with nature right? One time I typed in ice cream just to see what it would do and it gave me the brake down of what ice cream was and it did the same thing with basketball. those two things have nothing to do with nature. It also says the app is for four and up which is weird because they can research pretty much anything. If your going to make an app that is based on nature but then let the user research pretty much anything u might as well use google instead. Other than that the app is pretty cool! So this is another update. I do think the researching anything is cool but u should also add real time information to it.

Wasted time. So idk why I assumed this app would tell me the breed of my dog but I did, then once I loaded in to my surprise their equipment and technology is so high tech they wanna charge 30$ to use it thank god for the free trial because I could have been outraged instead I’m disappointed I wasted my time. If u have a picture of a animal and u want to know what it is send me a picture I will do it in 10 seconds for free!

A decent app!. I actually have no idea why so many people say this app is so bad! You don’t have to get a subscription (there’s a cancel button in the corner so you can continue for free)! I’ve so far only done on but it was fully accurate! I was confused on weather this frog looking thing was a frog or a toad and the app said it was a cane toad and showed some pictures of it that looked very similar! I have a very similar app to this that’s for bugs (most likely from the same creator) and I’m satisfied with both! This will be very useful, I love it!

Poor recognition. Sorry but I also think it is poor app. I took a photo of a rainbow bird and it came up with snakes and turtles. Very useless.

Dunno what’s wrong. I took a pic of a penguin and it came up with a guinea pig, a crested gecko, and a turtle. I would give it a point one star if I could.

Do not install - cannot cancel default subscription after free trial. Warning. Do not install this app. I’ve tried to unsubscribe after installing to trial and now I cannot cancel the subscription which is the default after 7 days free trial. Now it’s going to be hours on the phone to Apple trying to have them unsubscribe before I’m charged the yearly subscription. Must be something illegal for this to be happening.

No money pls. I just want most of them!- you’ve got fish, insects, birds, plants- no that’s a different one- but you made one for all the animals. All of them. Well you could’ve just made a mammal one- really. Picture fish isn’t the best at working. The detail, really all of these apps are great, it’s just the money part. And you’ve got a DOG indentifier. I’ve got tons of CATS! We need a cat indentifier. But I don’t know, what to rate it.

This app is failed. When I upload a photo of bird (seagull) it shows frogs 🙃😳🤯🙄

Poor identification. I’ve taken 3 pictures of different species of birds( coot/loon, pelican and Canadian goose) all of which returned idetifications such as sea lion, seal sea otter. This app is unable to accurately identify common creatures.

How to use this app. It's an okay app, however it isn't nearly as good as PictureThis. That's expected, since plants and animals are completely different, with the latter being much more challenging for AIs to identify. I've seen a lot of 1 star reviews who clearly don't know how to use this app. Do's: ✅ • Side profile view of the animal helps the app identify shapes • Good lighting helps the app identify colors • Clear images help the app understand what it's looking at Don'ts: ❌ • Take a picture of a human and get surprised when it can't guess it, it specifically says PictureAnimal not PictureHuman 🙄 • Take a picture of your dog— once again, it says PictureAnimal not "PictureDog breed". Chihuahuas, Pomeranians, etc can look like squirrels to AIs. • Take a low quality photo and expect the app to guess it accurately. Note: • The app is not 100% accurate, especially when it comes to much rarer species such as Spring Hares, Japanese Serow, Etc which may not even be in the AI's algorithm. Animals have different poses unlike plants which are generally viewed from a bird's eye view in a symmetrical pattern. Additionally, plants have much more distinctive colors. The app is great for identifying pretty basic photos but I rate it 3 stars because I think that the devs can do better. The app is great for identifying colors and the animal's general appearance (e.g, will guess an antelope as an ungulate but not the specific species). For these reasons please don't be so hard on this app and learn how to read instructions properly :-)

Completely wrong identification. I searched four a picture of a bird, and got the results for a sea lion, or a dolphin or a seal. Very disappointed in this app.
