Unimpressive. The chess board takes such little real estate on the screen and there are no hints for kids just learning the game. The early matches are quite difficult for a brand new player and will be discouraging. Disappointing use of resources … just adding fluff but limited value.

Not compatible. App Store says version is compatible with my iPad, but it immediately crashes when I open it. Doesn’t stay open long enough for me to even login to my account.

Can’t login. I have a character in my chess kid account password that the app won’t accept (when i type it it automatically deletes the character), so I can’t login. I guess I’ll go change my password, but if then login experience itself is bugged I’m not hopeful for everything else

NO RIGHT ANSWERS!!!. Two games had NO right answers for no reason at all and I don’t like that it was not letting me change awtfits for no reason!

Awesome stuff. I am a chess addicted kid who thought that chess kid was running out of cool stuff. But now I have so much fun in arena mode and I believe it could be better but it is truly a fun game!

Lovely way to learn just problems. This game is very good but they don’t explain things very well and you have to be a good member to really do anything I don’t suggest getting the app because you will be compelled to spend your money on it

ChessKid account not able to log in. Hey guys - chess adventure log in doesn’t accept some special characters so we can’t log in with out ChessKid account. Can you please fix this? Character “-“ doesn’t work. Guessing there are more Also, a little unstable lots of crashes.

Too glitchy. The premise is fun. The quests could be more advanced. It’s definitely more for beginners. But my kids are motivated to keep playing to earn all the gear, etc. so it’s definitely enjoyable for kids. But on one account, all of the bosses my kid purchased were erased. And my other child currently can’t play any of the bosses at all. They don’t make any moves. They’re both pretty frustrated with the game at the moment.

Good but .... Good but one of the quests showed a video of what is the best first move. I copied the move on the quest but it said it was the wrong move.

DA BEST CHEST GAME EVER. So I actually play chess kids and I found this on the news on chess kids I LOVE IT one time when I was battling goop I was a bit stuck so I waited for a few weeks then I came back and I solved it immediately thank u chess bye! :)

ChessAdventure. I love that it teaches chess I had a lot of fun doing this the only tinge I don’t like is how few quests there are but I hope there are more in the future.

Fun for adults, too. I’m not a kid, but I am a beginner and I find this very useful and fun. I would like a longer quest and to have all the bosses animated instead of stationary images. Maybe have fireballs or rain clouds blast the board when they capture a piece? Something to make playing those bosses a unique experience. But mostly, I want more help learning how to play the game. More hints and explanations are necessary. Especially when a game ends in a draw. Several times,I thought I had checkmate (or was just one move away), when the game suddenly declares a draw without letting me examine the board.

Some bugs but its still good. This game is awesome the bots glitch sometimes needs a little more quests but it teaches a lot and it helps you work on strategy

Great game but need help. It is designed to allow only certain moves in the game. And I am stuck at adventure 6, part 5 grab the center quest. No matter what I do. I can’t find the right moves even if I copied the exact moves from the learn section. Help needed!

Why. Black pieces far more than white pieces. And when I am white pieces opponent quits within a move or two. Matchmaking so lopsided, lose 8 straight against far superior players. Would be fun to have a chance

Pay to play. Not a good chess game, stocked with pay to play. The matching system seems to be trash also. Takes up to 20 mins to get a match. I understand its for kids but why make it into a horrible mobile pay to play type game. There appears to be no way to watch previous matches meaning there is no way to analyze anything.

Slow gameplay, boring “adventure”. My 7 year old son was not at all impressed with this app. Glitchy from the start, it kept erasing his progress. I didn’t appreciate all the in-app purchases and up selling, either. Don’t bother installing

Amazing app but…. I already am a member of your other app chesskid and I really do love this app. I play it almost every day and completed ALL of the quests. It truly is an amazing app. I only have one question. Will you add more quests. Those were really fun but now that I finished them all I am getting kind of bored. I do the puzzles which is also fun but I really liked the quests. So please add more quests. Thanks!

Amazing game but one little bug. This is a great game, and I recommend it to every beginner in chess. Everything is fine, but one small bug. I was playing with goob when suddenly he castled his queen! Castling is supposed to be with the king, so that is strange. Please fix this bug. Otherwise, this is an amazing game!

Ahem. The king can go diagonal and forward like a queen but it can only go one space each turn witch you got right but he can kill anything in his path but only move one space

Quest tells me to checkmate, says I got “stalemated”. I am 11 and I know and understand how the concepts of chess work. I am not getting stalemated, I have checkmated the king and the wizard says “try not to get stalemated!” Or something along those lines. I cannot complete this quest as it wants me to checkmate in a specific way, it doesn’t want me to just checkmate the king. Otherwise it is a pretty good app. But in addition whenever I unlock a new piece of clothing or an outfit it automatically puts it on me which I don’t like as I have to put my old clothes on. It’s ironic how if you put certain clothes on but don’t press save it won’t put them on you put if you unlock them they magically get put on without your consent. This game is fun and educational but I just want it so it does t matter how you complete quests, it should matter that you complete them. Also, it says “learn”, when I press it, it shows me how. I have a full understanding of the concept it showed me but I cannot checkmate in 2 moves with that concept so it’s useless. I think the learn button should teach you the current puzzle and not just the main theme of the quest or level. It is a pretty good app and I hope to see changes soon. Also don’t just tell me “I took too many moves to checkmate” I didn’t. Even though you can see that the objective was placed at what appears to be the near end of a game, it had no move counter so you can’t justify that I was on that verge. I checkmated in 2 moves as it said but wanted me to do it in a specific way. Otherwise, it’s a great game.

Great for learning the basics.. Hi, I’m Alberto I’m 13 years old, and this game as helped me improve in chess. I really recommend this if you want to get into chess. I love the way it helps you learn on setting up the board. This app is great for all ages.

You have to buy gold. You don't get enough coins to fight bosses and unless you want to wait about 3-5 months to fight a bods you have to buy gold to be able to play unlimited puzzles and not have to waste coins on other stuff. Other than that its a simple yet effect way at helping kids learn about chess.

Boss not moving pieces. When I play against a boss most times they don’t move there pieces therefore I lose coins

Can’t log in. This is the worst app I have ever seen. The log in field has a character limit which won’t allow normal sized email address. And customer service is non existing. So frustrating. Really not worth it

Keeps stopping!. I like the way the games are running but sadly can only progress a little each time before the whole game automatically shuts down and I am back to my phone’s homepage! My husband tried it on his phone. Same thing happened!

Good and funny idea, but. the game is done with good idea, but suffers from a lot of issues which frustrates my daughter: 1. Connectivity in Vs Kids - “Ooops, check your connection” message appears where it should not. Internet is fine, but message keeps blocking the screen. Especially it is unstable on mobile data - not in WiFi zone. 2. Vs kids games suddenly can be stopped with message “You lost” when there is a plenty of time. 3. Very often the auto-logout for idle opponent does not work. The game keeps counting the time until the end of the game time. But sometimes it keeps counting indefinitely. Regards

Disappointed. Dear developer, Each time I go into the app it’s loads but then I get sent back to the homepage again. I tried to update it, it is says to download an older version but I do not know what it is. If it would work, I am sure I would have loved it so I rated five starts

App crashes on iPad. The app crashes immediately when trying to open it on iPad. Please QA test it before the launch.

Board size. I wish the board size can be bigger. Better for eyes, and easy to move pieces.

Needs minor improvements. This game works well, my son was having fun playing immediately and he is only 4 years old. He had difficulty due to the small chess board size during the games. The chessboard was very small which caused misclicks and frustration for him while trying to learn.

Can’t log out. Our family has three Chesskid.com gold memberships. Only one has been able to log in...and now he can’t log out to let others play their own accounts. To log out we have to confirm our account, but the password creates an error. How to solve this?

Solid but needs time/fixes. First a bug...on iPhone the bosses are not making moves. Second, the interface in the maps is a little slow. Character moves, slow “woohoo”, and I think I need to tap for each lesson but it isn’t obvious. Tapping doesn’t work while the character is animating. I agree with more quests and animations for the characters being cool. Obviously more items and faster matching for vs games will come along. (Need People to make matches) I Wonder if chess kids can link to adventure. Also some lessons you move over and over even placing yourself in “danger without the opponent/teacher ever moving. Other lessons the opponent moves. An indicator for when this occurs might be nice and maybe a voice for the character. “My turn” for example. Biggest gripe....chess.com and ChessKid.com I had to get my kid a subscription. I wish the two were more integrated. I could get a subscription for both of us. The puzzles, ranks, and others basic game working could be the same but kids would offer a more kid friendly interface, parental controls, and items you can buy for an avatar like adventure!
