Simple and relaxing. Yes, it’s a simple game with quick levels...get as many balls down to the waiting vehicle below. But it’s genuinely fun, especially if you are looking for something that won’t stress you or make you think TOO hard. A basic grasp of practical physics can’t hurt you as you anticipate how the balls will react to the various obstacles. The best surprise was when, in a fit of frustration at one level, I shook my phone...and discovered the haptics actually WORKED. That was a really fun discovery! The only negatives that have this game currently downrated by a star is that a) Sand City needs some more development because the last building you use your gems to construct is a long slog, b) occasionally I’ve seen balls jump barriers or get stuck in sand in an impossible way, and c) the VIP subscription model isn’t worth it, though the ad-free purchase is good. None of those issues keeps me from wanting to play or from enjoying the game though, so this is definitely a solid four stars and a recommend for anyone who wants simple fun.

Fun but a little confusing..?. I downloaded sand balls about a week ago and loved it! I’ve been playing ever since and am now on level 265, and have collected all the balls. Definitely a simple, fun game that also manages to make it complex and hard sometimes. The only complaint I would have about the game is that there’s no level map! I’ve looked everywhere in the game and there’s no way to replay levels you’ve already played unless you replay them directly after, and even then you can’t play them anymore when you move on. Really disappointed that you can’t go back to see how many stars you got on each level. Another thing is about the ads. You pay $2.99 to play without ads but then 40% of the gameplay is with ads still. If you pay the three dollars I feel you should be able to get the car for free, up your diamonds, and upgrade your prizes for free. It gets a little boring and repetitive after you’ve collected everything and built your “Sand City” so.. Definitely needs to be updated with more content. But for a starter game, it’s really fun! 3 stars.

Love game but now can’t click to upgrade car or get more gems. Hello, I love this game! I am on high levels and play it on my newer phone and also kids play it on iPads! Yes I use the free version because I don’t really need the other things, and ads didn’t bother me until recently! However problem now is all of a sudden when you get to click upgrade car to watch video, it isn’t letting me and same with to get a prize of to add more gems, but yet it won’t let me click it to watch the ad to get those, but as soon as I click no thanks oh what do you know an ad pops right up! It doesn’t matter if it’s me on level 2000 plus or on my other phone under level 100, it’s doing the same! I thought it might be because I am so high on levels on my one device, but it’s doing the same on both! Please fix this! Other then that, love the game and will continue to play it!

Got to level about 280 ish. Okay so I gave this a 3 out of 5 stars because it was addicting however I got to level 280 and deleted this game because the last 60-80 levels have been a little frustrating because the were not anymore challenging than the first 100 levels and I feel as new things should be introduced as most games do. Sometimes I questioned if I had played the same level 100 levels ago. The levels had the same thing but in different orders and I very rarely lost. But this game was addicting it just got boring. I want to say I had this game for about 2-3weeks which is pretty average maybe a little better than average. Good job guys I just need it mixed up a bit more... maybe introduce something new every 50 levels and make the levels progressively more challenging. I know most people don’t say this but in this case I would have liked to lose a bit more than basic at never. Thanks! Fun meditative game. I love this game! Im If I am feeling stressed or anxious-I just start playing. It gives my mind something easy to focus on and calms my mind down, which soothes my anxiety. I like it as is, although I would enjoy some new layouts. I bought the $2.99 ad free version of the game so that I could zen out on it a little easier -ads are very stressful, unless they’re my choice. So I appreciate this setup. My only real Complaint is that the bar on the screen to scroll back up towards the top, it automatically sends you to the ad page and it takes a few seconds to have the X show up to close it. This is very annoying because I play big the extra sand as I go down and regularly hit that silly thing. I would appreciate the option of moving or removing it. I would’ve probably just gone ahead and gotten the VIP membership except y’all want $5.99 A WEEK! or $20 a month! That’s $250 a year! While my mental health is priceless to me -that seems a bit ridiculous for a few extra features-I could play a much more expansive game than this one for about this price per month. While you idea is great and I want to financially support a good game like this, by purchasing the ad free version—that is a little steep in my personal opinion. I am sure you have your reasons-but I am also sure you aren’t seeing a lot of VIP memberships being purchased-which kinda defeats your purpose in creating this wonderful and addictive game. If you love ads...and then more ads...and even more ads. I reached 170 and finally just bored especially of the incessant ads. If you like sitting through a 30 second ad before you can collect your reward then sit through another 30 second ad after that...this is for you. WAY TOO MANY ads for the free version. Much more than any game I’ve ever played or am currently playing for free. Sand City..is kinda a joke. You can’t get sunshine’s without viewing more ads and then you only get a small amount, therefore I’ll always be at 6 with 800 sunshine’s left before I’ll reach 7 and nothing is left to buy with over 40,000 diamonds. There’s nothing in this game that’s worth paying for and makes me want to get the paid version so I’m deleting. Then let’s talk about the ads for Interactive Chapters you’re forced to see over and over and over on a game that’s supposed to be suitable for a 12 year old...seriously? I’d give negative 5 for that alone.

Great game!!!. i have played this game sooo much over quarantine! i am currently on level 800 something and plan to keep playing to get a higher and higher level. as you can tell, i’m basically addicted to this game, but there are some minor problems. there have been some games that are impossible to pass because of a glitch or something, so i’ve had to skip them. also, in sand city, once you get all the buildings, you get a fairest wheel and the bank which is exciting until you figure out what you need to get them. you have to play 2,000 levels for the fairest wheel, and 1,000,000 gems for the bank! finally, VIP is not worth the money. it’s definitely great but not worth it. you get more gems and stuff, and you get to move up and down the map, which is really cool. but then again, the hardest part of the game is to do it without getting to go back up, so that makes the game REALLY easy. other than those things, i love this game and would definitely recommend it! 👍

Nice time passer but. Updated review***** I’m going to leave my original review after this. Today I updated the app to find a VIP subscription. Thank goodness I never paid the $1.99 add removal. Nothing else is new. I’ve had all the balls and cars. I am on level 211 I have a bunch of the diamonds the sand city complete. They have a coming soon for another part of the sand city. Now they are pushing this VIP for effects. Yeah no major fail dropped my score from a 4 to a 1. Pretty sad update. I only play here and there I see this being more deleted from my phone now. Was a good game. I got to level 101 in less then one day. Already have everything in sand island and all the balls you can collect. I’m currently just collecting the different cars used to collect the balls but that’s done by completely levels to fill up the jar like design of a car till it’s full. You collect 5% to the car each level. For those complaining about the ads I don’t think they fully control what ad is run. I’ve seen lots of different kinds. I’ve seen the choice ones and yeah they are adult rated but I’ve seen worse ads on other games. Gave 4 because I feel I’ve pretty much beat it hope more things come soon. I do enjoy it.

I love it... buttttt. I really love this game. I like how i can just play without really thinking about it. My husband and I both began playing it and we raced to see who could get what opened first. And we paid for the no ads cost which was worth it for us since we played it so often. We got all the balls, went through all the levels and earned enough for all the buildings too. We aren’t even halfway through the Ferris wheel and I’m on level 1350. It’s painful to think that it will take a really long time with me not really getting anything new. Maybe some new balls or levels. Make more things for purchasing so I’m not just earning pointless pearls. I have no idea what is going to happen when I complete the Ferris wheel but I’m a bit worried it won’t be worth it. I love the game but I might have to stop because there’s nothing more I can do...

What is with the million ads every 5 seconds?. First there is an ad bar at the bottom (fine with that, most apps are that way) and then a full ad that plays after almost every single level. That’s a little overkill don’t you think? I know you want to make money but for the love of God you would get so many more players (thus probably the same amount of ad revenue) if you would limit these to every 5 or 6 levels instead of every 1 or 2. I really like this game but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone because of the barrage of ads. I think I spend more time having to wait for ads to play than actually playing the game. I don’t even pay attention to the ads. I just look around the room and wait it out until they are over. I do click on ads on other apps but not on yours. I just want them over with and I don’t even pay attention. I say again, it’s overkill. You have to admit that’s just ridiculous.

Great but could be better. This is a great game to play. It works in the car which is great considering I go on long drives a lot. The levels are easy but can be challenging sometimes. I like to go really slow because I want to get all the balls. However, I do find somethings that could change which would make the game a full 5 stars. To start,I don’t get the sand city part of the game. I think it is really random and a little boring. Also, why do you have to make it so when you open the game it’s on sand city. I never use sand city and that’s not the fun part of the game. What I don’t get is you earn new balls to use and stuff for sand city? I think sand city would be a great game on its own not with sand balls. Next, I think you should add something more to the game like new obstacles or something more. The game just goes on and on but it doesn’t get harder. Also sometimes those pink boards you have to break Glick and they come with me when I move on. I think the green teleportation obstacle is great but my balls sometimes get stuck and I can’t control it. This game is great just needs so tweaks to it please consider my Ideas. Have a great day!

Great and Satisfying, but NEEDS WORK.. Sand Balls is an easy, calming game for people of all ages. I like to play it when I’m bored, and the sound is very easing and satisfying. I recommend this game for people who are stressed. Although, as much as I like this game, the adds are a bit much. Why so many? They can get very annoying and they create frustration (ironically because this game is calming). I would be obsessed if adds weren’t there. But let me explain - This game, as I’ve said already, is so very easing, satisfying, and calming. But with adds? That ease, satisfaction, and calmness is all wiped clean out of you when an add pops up in the middle of your game. Now let’s get to the positive review: Yes, it’s easing and calming. Great for stress and especially moms who have six children (or any children). Drawing in the sand to create a path, letting a variety of different balls roll smoothly through is undoubtedly very stress-relieving. Once the balls make it through, you win. Of course there are obstacles along the way that make you think, and that’s good because you shouldn’t be completely lazy. I love this when I’m tired or stressed, and I recommend it to everyone. But please, PLEASE fix the adds. I hope you take this into consideration and I hope that I’ve made good suggestions for improvement. I hope everyone who’s read this has a nice day. Thank you.

Great game! A few things!. This game is amazing! It is a great time killer too! But the game creator continuously uses the same obstacles and the same maps for repeated amounts of levels. Also, some of the obstacles don’t even let all of your balls get through! They only let a few of them get through and it makes you not get a perfect score of balls! I would like the creator to get more creative with their map ideas because they just use the same things over and over again. And if you could make the obstacles able to pass with all of our balls, that would be helpful as well. Overall, this is a great game! I would definitely recommend this if you are debating whether to get it or not, you definitely should.

Super fun but……. Super fun but….. I think after your but every thing you can buy with the coins they keep giving you, you should have the opportunity to buy gems with the coins. I’m at the point of the game where you don’t need the coins anymore cuz I already bought everything from the store there is to buy with the coins. What I really need are gems! I’m not trying to buy gems with real money when I already put money into the game as is. i.e. buying the no adds or paying the weekly fee for free stuff or even buying the bombs or even buying the monthly prizes. You really need to let us either trade in the coins for gems or when u get the bonus rounds for gems instead of coins. Like I said I have no use for coins anymore since I’ve been playing since the game came out. Other than that I love this game. I could play for hours!!!

Absolutely Love this game. I have been playing for a few months now. I just hit level 700. I also have paid the $2.99 so I would not have to deal with most of the ads. But my concern now is that you have updated the game, where we can use our points, you teased us with the beach, and it’s complete. So now you want us to upgrade to VIP so we can pay you each month for something we are all enjoying without having to pay. This is by far the most relaxing game I have come across, so now I guess my beach with the pretty design, will stay like that, because I choose not to pay. So what do we do with our little diamonds, points if we do not upgrade? I’m just curious. Thanks

People don’t Waste your time.. Once again doing an edit. PEOPLE DON’T BOTHER WITH THIS ONE!! No response from app support, deleting this game and demanding refund from Apple. Editing my original review. Giving one star now wish it could be zero. I am flabbergasted that I paid for add removal only to update and now you want me to pay for a subscription to get farther than what I am. I have 45,000 plus gems, can’t upgrade anything in sand city, and have every ball offered. Think this will become a deleted game and I will take my two dollar loss. Lesson learned I downloaded this game and was quite entertained with it. Enough to pay for no adds. Now I am to the point where I have built sand city as much as I can, have a ton of gems that I can’t use on anything, all the levels are looking the same, see an update and get excited that there is going to be new things. Yep as in a VIP that you have to PAY for o get anything else! What the hell did I pay for already!

Needs 1 Major Improvement. It’s a great game and good to settle stress. The playing area is the full area of the screen so when you’re trying to do actions at the top and bottom of the screen, iphone reads it as you trying to minimize your app or pull down notifications. This will cause you to lose balls as you lose the time to move the sand. It would really help to have a frame buffer area around the playing area. Also, the 250 for the Ferris wheel is a bit dumb. There are some levels where the second bomb blows with the first and you have no choice but to replay the level, and some where you begin with so few balls that they fail to blow the bomb. I’ve had to skip several levels because of that. Otherwise I love the game. I paid for the ad free version. If you’re getting this for a child realize they will still be able to click ads and be asked to subscribe to VIP repeatedly.

Ads have gone POLITICAL!. When you enjoy a game, you play it again. Sometimes, you don’t mind the ads. Ads like “Watch this video for 5x gems!” So, you watch it and it’s people from another country with English dubbed over talking about another game. It’s whatever. Then... you play your game one day, to just help you relax and forget about things for a moment, and you see an ad for a political candidate in the upcoming election. This... is not how you relax! You are instantly reminded of all the junk you had to deal with at work and listen to your coworkers spew this vile political junk from their mouths. Honestly, it doesn’t matter which candidate you support, you just never expected this from a game. For the children who play this game, what are they seeing when ads show up? Political candidates? What’s next? Political smear ads? The developers of this game hit a low point with allowing these ads to roll on their game. POLITICAL ADS IN VIDEO GAMES MEANS IT’S NOW TRASH. DELETED

Warning DO NOT LET YOUR KIDS PLAY. The game is fun when your not spending 70% of your time on it watching ads, but fair warning to parents, DO NOT LET YOUR CHILDREN ON THIS APP. It’s filled with nothing but sex and dating ads 99% of which include horrific detailing. If you care you should NOT let your kids be exposed to that. Every single add I’ve seen has been nothing but the same game over and over, and each add for that game has nsfw in it. Aside from that, the game is enjoyable and relaxing, but the ads threw me off. It’s ad after ad after ad, each one more inappropriate then the last. I’m almost 100% sure it’s a ploy to get you too buy the no ads for your kids, but guess what? Your not safe from that either. The purchase does nothing but drain your wallet. I’m surprised they haven’t already been sued for false advertising. Overall I wouldn’t even suggest this game to fellow adults with the horrors I’ve seen coming out of it. Think well before putting this app on your device.

Can’t even play the game because I bought no ads. So I loved this game. I played it most days and the ads were tolerable. But then it felt like the ads just kept getting ramped up. I finally broke when it made me watch an add just to tap the home icon to take me back to the island from changing my ball shape. Absolutely ridiculous. So I spent the $3 to remove ads. It worked. I upgraded my island a few times and then tried to play a level. Except now I can’t play a level at all. It loads and then the loading bar just resets and then loads me back to my island. No matter which way I try to launch a level. I’ve restarted the app multiple times and sometimes it just tries to give me the tutorial for repairing my island but I don’t have enough stars since I already did it a few times and now I can’t play a level to earn more. I’m going to request a refund from iTunes and I hope the developers see this because now I literally can’t play the game I just decided to put money into.

Unskippable content. After paying to remove ads I see an offer for a free gift (which by the way is definitely not free if I have to watch an ad for it) and I could not get past it without clicking on the ad and closing the app. Then one level later is tells me try VIP effect and I didn't want to because the effect looked ugly as hell but again there was no option to click away, so I closed the app, reopened and the effect is there even though I don't want it, and there's no way to turn it off. I'm so mad about this effect I didn't want but the game forced on me I don't really want to play it anymore. With every movement I'm reminded of this stupid effect I can't turn off. I either want this fixed or want a refund. Ugly effect was mercifully fixed, but I don't like how after 20 levels it won't let you scroll up anymore, attempting to scroll up only gives you an ad for VIP. What the hell?

Good job!. There are so many of these type of quick download games that you play for 5 minutes, get bored, then never touch it again. Usually, they are riddles with ads as well. This is a whole other story. This game is actually addicting. I’m at level 60 and sometimes there are easy levels and sometimes there are ones you actually have to think for a little bit! Yes there are ads, but watching the ads actually reap HUGE benefits versus other games wear watching an ad does almost nothing. Even if you never watched any ads you could unlock and play almost all of the content. It’s colorful, has sound, and doesn’t lag. It’s the perfect mix of ads to achieve a free high quality soothing game. Bravo SAYGAMES! 5 stars from me!

Love ads? This is for you.. So. Many. Ads. Ads that make you find the “X” only to watch more of the same ad. Ads for everything. Ads during game play. Ads before gameplay. Ads after game play. If you’re any good, you’ll spend more time watching ads than actually playing the game. It’s a very fun puzzle game with an interesting concept. BUT: too many ads! I’m on level 25 or so and tired of playing the game because of the ads. I haven’t decided whether to uninstall the game, but I’m not gonna play it until I’m ready for some more ads. I’d rate it a four or five if not so many ads as to make it nearly unplayable. I’d spend $3-4 on an ad-free, replayable/ selective level version of the game. Ughh. So many ads. Did I mention the constant ads? Oh, and there’s lots of ads, too. It’s a great way to quickly move through the hassle of playing a game so you can spend most of your time watching ads. Download it today for a crispy, repetitive ad watching experience! (Ads!)

Random Review. So I have had this game a while and I’m on level 380. I really like the updates so far and want to say that this game is awesome like well done 👏. The other reason I am writing this is that I have a problem with the ads because they are getting ridiculous. Like, I’m fine with an ad after a level but if we could have an ad every other level that might be nice. And I don’t know if you can control the ad that I get but it’s annoying getting an ad that is like a minute long. But it’s annoying especially when I want a prize and then have to exit the game and not get it because the “X” button won’t work. To anyone reading this I feel that is a minor problem and I would recommend you play.

It is a good game but needs work.. I just downloaded the game and overall its awesome! A real stress reliever. But I’ve been looking at the reviews and I agree, THE ADDS! Once I got it I went through the first level in 8 seconds and then there was no add. But then I finished the second and there was an add! And I don’t want to pay for no adds! Ik it is pretty cheap. Best game ever download this all the levels are ez. I’ve been playing this game besides all these levels or releaxing is like ezzzz but idc about ads my brother told me why this is 5 stars lol but in my old account I passed like 100 like so much I also give this 10 star if there was 10 stars well is really fun so download it your gonna love it!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ After playing for weeks and months you’ll be better than my account if you play this for a year you’ll be like at level 200! Don’t play this for 4 years cuz I know the levels get harder and HARDER 10 years idk if u will ever pass the levels 20 years NO WAY! Not worth the money. So when you first start, you get hooked. You're playing for gems to build your beach and it's super fun. Then, you pay for no ads, which doesn't actually mean not ads because you s to lo have to watch them go get the prize boxes that you pick up in the game and to move to the next vehicle level. Once you're done building your first beach up that's it. I built my first beach in a week and now there is nothing to work towards because for the past month the next beach just says "Coming Soon". The rounds are too easy, there is no challenge whatsoever. AND to top it off, when you get three keys you get to pick three mystery boxes out of mine for one big prize. Statistically that's a 1 in 9 chance. I've chosen the same three boxes the last 20+ times and haven't gotten the grand prize once which is mathematically impossible. Overall, I want my $2.99 back.

You are not following correct charging model. This is a great game but charging $100 a year is ridiculous to the point that I’d be surprised if you make hardly any money at all. If you charged $20 or maybe $30 a year I’d go for it. You’d probably get more subscribers and more money overall at a lower price point than you are getting at such a high price point. There are just too many good quality free games to pay $100 a year for a game, even a fun and relaxing one like Sandballs. Also, even if I paid for VIP, I’d want to have the ability to turn off the features individually, like the slide-back-up feature or the special effects which are fun for sometimes but make the experience less relaxing and I’d like to turn them off after a while and then on once in a while. Thanks.

If you like ads, have I got a game for you. There are ads on the side of the play field, ads at the bottom. You want an ad before you play a level, I got you! You want an ad after you beat a level, come on over Johnny! How about an ad after you just watched an ad? Oh boy, are you in luck ‘cuz this game has all that and more. Super simple puzzle where you have infinite swipes to clear the sand and get the balls into the truck, but then get rewarded with an ad. No apparent level selection in case you wanted to double back and retry a level from earlier, just play the most recent ad, I mean level, and hope for the best. Oh, and you can pay $2.99 to reduce the number of ads, which the developer calls “ad free mode.” They know how much you love ads though so don’t worry, ad free doesn’t mean there aren’t ads, just a few less. There is a bonus feature, where you can watch an ad to multiply your gems that you can use to buy new balls and other things that I am sure help you get more ads. Since this just seems to be an ad spam with very minimal gameplay.

Don’t Buy No Ads....you will still get them. Shame on LLC. Ad after ad after ad after ad. My granddaughter liked the game so I purchased the “NO AD” version for $2.99 and STILL get ad after ad after ad. Because this is happening, I am going to report this company for false advertising and taking money for nothing in return. Furthermore, I have this in another iPad and even though I hit restore purchase, ads still appear one after another after another. Shame on you LLC for offering a product ad free and not giving your customers what they paid for. Also....the ads are very inappropriate. They are rated 17 plus and not what I want my 5 year old granddaughter to see. In order to get your winnings such as change balls or get a new vehicle, again, one must watch yet more ads even after paying. To anyone out there contemplating playing this or even worse throwing away hard earned money to get rid of the thousands of ads per minute......DON’T!!! False advertising and poor customer relations. A Scam and a shame because it could have been a fun game.

Bored. I have got bored of this game really fast. I bought all the balls and everything in and city so I have all these leftover diamonds I also feel like the levels keep repeating themselves and that is so boring. Some things to change are at the end of the game I wish it would tell you how many balls you got out of how many there were. Second some of the big balls don’t pop and that really annoys me. Last u believe we should keep all the cars we watched an add for I love this game it is so relaxing especially with the volume! The game gets boring after a while though and once you get to 100% on the cars you watch an add then the box for so u want to get the car pops up that really annoys me because I watch an add then watch another. I have also noticed that some of the adds are very inappropriate they should really work to take those off. That’s all I have for this game add more levels and fix the adds!

AD FREE IS NOT AD FREE!. SO MANY ADS!!! Worst ad bombardment I’ve ever seen. Ads even cover gameplay sometimes. So of course I was super excited when I saw the button pop up inviting me to go add free. Don’t waste your money on buying the ad free version of this game. Even after paying 2.99, in order to do anything, like get new cars or even collect the chests that you rightfully earn in the level you still have to watch ads. Not to mention there’s always an ad at the bottom of the game. I paid the upgrade to specifically not have to deal with that and not have to worry about my toddler clicking on ads if he were to play. You’re misleading the people that pay for this option. Very disappointed. Shame on you.

Good Game — The Ads are Ridiculous. I quite like the game, and it is a testament to how addicting it is that I have put up with the ridiculous ads for as long as I have. First there is a 30-50 second ad every time I complete a level, then more ads for if I want any type of advantage in the game. Worse, most of the ads have extremely loud volume that will stop any music playing on your phone and BLAST your earbuds to the point where you shudder. Then you mute the sound, switch over to iTunes to start the music again and when you get back... the ad restarts because you clicked off it. Finally I had enough. Something kept popping up saying I could lose the ads for $2. At the end of my rope, I paid the money. This function is a total lie. The ads in between levels stop... but the offers for advantages double or triple in between levels... and those still have the ads. So essentially you are doomed either way. Worse, now pop-up ads for a VIP service are beginning every other level... saying I’ll get special treatment (including no ads — HA!) for $80 a year. Can you imagine? Over my dead body. Once more I’m reaching the point where I can’t take much more. All the ads are doing is ensuring I will never, NEVER buy any products that pop up on my screen. Ads every ten levels would be acceptable, but this? Especially AFTER I PAID TO STOP THEM? No. Never again.

AWESOME!. I LOVE this game. Have had it for a week now, experienced ZERO issues. There are quite a few ads, but they're all short and good, meaning the games the ads are for are good and I've even downloaded some of them. It makes sense that there are ads because it takes a lot of money to make a game this good, so they need sponsors. Most of my friends love this game too, and we like having competitions to see who can complete the most levels over the course of the week. You can buy stuff with gems to build in it. Gems are not hard to come across. At the end of a level, all the balls fall into a car/truck. Gems can be used to buy a better truck. “No Ads” is a bit of a misstatement.. I’ll start by saying I love this game! It’s fun and relaxing. After playing for a few hours, I decided it would be worth the $2.99 for having it with “no ads.” However, I preface by saying I understand that “boost” type actions (more keys, more diamonds, party boost) have ads and I’m fine with that. What is misleading is that as you use balls to fill the percentage of your next “car,” you are forced to watch an ad once you hit 100% to get the car. This should not be if I’ve paid to play ad free. Additionally, if you want to replay a level to try for collecting more balls, you have to watch an ad to replay it... “No Ads” should allow you to play the game, including replaying levels, without watching ads that I have paid to play without. Otherwise, the game is fun and I look forward to continued expansion. I’ve been playing for 2 days and I’ve already collected all the balls and built everything I can in Sand City.

Do not get this game!!!. So when I first got the game like a year ago it was ok a good way to take up some of my time but when I got to like level 100 it started to repeat levels 1-20 over a over again. It was progressively getting harder but when I got to level 100 it was like I had never played the game. The levels were so dang easy I could do them with my eyes closed. It was still kinda fun when I was board but not really. So I stopped playing for a little while. Then I remembered about the game... this is the whole reason I put this review. The game had a update, I thought maybe it would get better so I tried it out... BUT THE GAME GOT EVEN WORST at first there was a lot of balls that you drag through sand but now there is ONE BALL THAT YOU DRAG THROUGH LEAVES. The games name should be changed from sandballs to leafball. Honestly this game is so trash and has many more things wrong with it that I said. It has ads between every level and had ads of it own game. ALSO PROVING THAT IT WAS TRASH BECAUSE THE AD WAS SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE GAME. I am very disappointed with the new update I DO NOT recommend this app. I only recommend it for baby’s that do not know what they are doing, they may have fun with it but I doubt it. Price of addiction is just too high. I enjoy this game. Graphics are smooth and sinuous. It’s addicting. But at level 352 I deleted it. Why? I paid $2.99 for the ad free version. All this does is cut out the between-level ads. There are still ads everywhere. Skip a level? Watch an ad. Chest room? Watch 2 ads. Sand City is where you “spend” your winnings in Sand Balls. Plenty of ads there. Want to get rid of ads? Subscribe to VIP plan for $5.99 per WEEK. That’s right, 6 bucks a week. That’s 50 to 60 bucks a month. It’s more expensive than Netflix or Prime! By the time I reached level 350 I’d seen all of the sand traps. It’s like playing miniature golf on the exact same course, with the same holes, in different order. As with all addictions, the price tag is high relative to the pleasure you get. 5 stars for the game play, zero stars for the “in-app purchases” averages to a 3.

Inappropriate Ads With Sexual Content!. This game is ok and not a bad effort for being so derivative. But the ads for other games are downright inappropriate for the age recommended. It advertised a game called “chapters” that was NOT appropriate for our family. Included awfully done intimate images of same sex relationships (badly done\objectifying portrayal), adults intimately bathing together, and more that I would definitely consider adult content...and this was advertised constantly! Using sex to sell games to kids is not ok. I wouldn’t want my 12 year old seeing ads with those types of portrayals or playing any games that include them. I saw 12+ on the age rating and can only assume that’s due to the content in some of the ads. It should be an adult rating if they have adult ads. It’s a shame too because the game itself is not a bad game per se, just advertises content that is (to our family at least) wildly inappropriate and way out of the context of this type of game. Parents and people of social conscience, be forewarned!

Inappropriate ads for kids. I would give negative stars if I could. So this happened today…This is horrible and sickening! I don’t believe in kids on phones playing games, etc and this is one reason why. Every once in a while when I need it for a distraction like at the doctor or dentist which is where we were today I will allow it. I downloaded what I thought would be a harmless kids maze game and this ad popped up while he was playing it. I always supervise and don’t let him have it freely because you hear of so many bad and inappropriate things that kids get exposed to. An ad popped up with 2 women kissing and saying to move the cursor to tough in different places. I grabbed it from his hands immediately hopefully before he saw or could comprehend what it was. I closed the ad and another popped up with a man and woman with text of adultery. 3x it did that all with different images. So upsetting! That app got deleted and found another. Just a sick world. Guard your babies and protect their innocence. Don’t let them freely play or watch things on apps or online without supervision or without knowing it’s kid friendly. This just confirmed my reasons even if some think I’m crazy or extreme.

Very addictive. I quite like this game, however, I’ve reached way past the limits of the game. I’m on level 355, been gifted every ball offered, bought sand city to the max of everything and there are really no new challenges in the game play. There is no need to multiply your winnings or keys or even except gifts because what am I going to spend the thousands upon thousands of gems I already have? I have no desire to watch a 30 second add to get 6000 or so gems that are basically useless. So I just want to know... is this it? Are there plans to add new challenges or new balls, something that doesn’t roll as easily. Or maybe some of the tubes could actually be a trap and ground up your balls. Cause really once you figure out the red hole what’s the purpose? I just avoid it and there is no challenge to that. Don’t get me wrong. I am addicted to playing this game but please add something more sooooooon! Oh but my biggest complaint is the ads! I really am fine with most of them because they give you a little interaction to let you try it out but what I have a problem with is the ads for “Episodes” or “Chapters”. This game is rated for 12 and above and these games are pure porn in cartoon form. They are disgusting to me and I’m 47.

Mostly fun. I’ve been playing this game since summer of 2019, and it was a blast. But then they introduced a side game, a cheep knock off of Sim City. It makes no sense to scab this other game onto sand balls, but since they did they’ve been using each update to try to force you to play their side game. With the latest update, sadly, after each round you can no longer move on to the next one. Now, the only option is to go to their stupid ‘island’ side game whether you want to or not. This game is called Sand Balls, and that’s what I’m here to play. I don’t care about their side game and now it’s very annoying for them to force us to the side game out of desperation to get us to play it. This game would be so much better if they spun off this stupid side game and the people that like it can go play that, so that we who want to play Sand Balls can simply play that.

developer ruined a what used to be a great game. this game WAS great. it used to be simple, dig in the sand and let the balls drop around and through obstacles. now they keep making it more and more complicated. i could already do without the keys and gemstones. but then they introduced the sand city. 🙄 if i wanted to play a city simulator i would download one but i like this game just for calming relaxation not strategy and certainly not reminders of all the stresses of the city, parking lots and billboards and traffic jams etc etc. now the latest is some kind of story about a blond girl who lost her parents. what? i don’t want to deal with this crap just let me dig in the sand. the worst is they keep showing her face and i’m sorry to say her whiteness feels hostile. you couldn’t even put a white girl with brown hair .. no it’s the ideal of whitest whiteness as the best type of person. this is like how hollywood movies are so white - there are never lead game characters of color. so this game doesn’t feel like it’s for everyone anymore, and it isn’t relaxing anymore. and it’s really too bad because it was great and all the developer had to do was leave well enough alone.

Fun and addictive game!. Very relaxing and fun game. Love Sand City! I didn’t realize that was a factory in the center of the city... with numbered parking spaces. Fill up one truck and therefore one parking space every level you play.. so when you see 3/3 or 6/6 on the sand city icon.. click on it,then press on the factory and you earn all sorts of extras including building a big amusement park and a bunch of buildings and playgrounds and houses and boats along the beach.. Hope you continue to add more.. I’ve played for 4 evenings and have bought all but one building and built everything except the Ferris wheel.. the ferries wheel alone. requires you play 2,000 levels! That’s a bit ridiculous! If you mad3 the upper levels more challenging and add new fun elements I may try for it.. but I’m at level 450+ and now quite bored...

Not challenging at all.. My 7 year old told me to download this game. And at first I was like WOWWWWW this is pretty cool! Now that I’m on level 350 (reached it in less than a week) and I own all the extra balls possible and have upgraded all the equipment to its max I’m really confused why I keep playing the same levels over and over again?!?!? All the levels are exactly the same. They did not get gradually harder than the previous one, all the same obstacles come again and again and again. And occasionally you’ll have the levels where they trick you if you’re not fast enough but then all you have to do is redo it! I’ve gotten 3 stars on every level, cuz like why not? When they ask if you want to watch a video for a prize honestly may as because they’re going to play a video for you regardless, may as well get something out of it. All in all game needs some new updates, actually challenging levels, and some new Bonus levels cuz they are legit ALL THE SAME. They never change! Game was addicting at first, but now I’m bored. It also makes me phone heat up while I’m playing so I can go through maybe 5 levels before I shut it off to make sure my phone doesn’t overheat.

Used to be fun, now there’s too many features and ads. The game in the past was way better. It used to have a few ads every now and then, understandable amount. This company deserved the money. Now, they decided to get a little greedy as more players picked up the game. They added way more ads, the weird city feature that I still don’t understand how to use and why to use it, power ups, and just recently a dang VIP feature that unlocks things that were always either free or unlock-able in the game. I hate to see how simple games get too greedy and complicated to be likable. Also, this game has treasure chest features, and to unlock the chest you need to watch an ad. I am OK with this, as long as you have the option to opt out of, keyword- BOTH the ad and chest. If you decide you to opt out of the chest in this game, it still gives you an ad but no chest in return. This is the most annoying ad feature added to the game and a large part of the reason I’m deciding to stop playing the game, probably for forever as I’m almost sure the game is doomed to continue getting worse. I just wish they could make this game fun and simple again.

i don't work for this company so u know i'm being honest. there's an ad after every level, sometimes two. and of course, if you want more items in the games you can watch more ads. you can watch three for a stadium in "sand city" which virtually has no purpose other than to have you watch more ads. this is another one of those games that was made quickly just for financial gain. it's fun, sure. it's good to zone out to. but it's hard to want to keep playing when you're interrupted by an ad for Episode or Word Villas every ten seconds. how much more money do the creators have to make? they pop out another one of these games every week. same premise. same ads. it's tiring tl;dr too many ads capitalism bad

PLEASE FIX GLITCHES. the balls are always getting stuck in places where there is nothing you can do to prevent or change it which means it’s clearly not part of the game and is a glitch. Also the big balls that break down into small ones don’t always hit the triangle, again, nothing you can do to prevent or fix it meaning it’s a glitch. Please fix this. Later addition- the glitches have just gotten worse since the update, the game freezes every few levels and you have to refresh the game 20 times to fix it, and no fixes of all the balls that get stuck in places. I have counted over a dozen places where balls get stuck with nothing you can do to fix it or prevent it. Also I do not want the trails or bonus levels, please stop forcing me into it. As someone who is on level 1200 these glitches and forced levels and trails gets extremely annoying.

Relies on ads and repeats levels. This game was fun when I first got it, and I had a lot of fun thinking through puzzles, but once I had made a few buildings and decorated the beach, everything fell flat. The puzzles all started looking the same and with the same traps and obstacles. The only difference was the spacing or angling or arrangement of those obstacles. It got to the point where I was wondering if I was accidentally hitting redo on levels instead of going through new ones. Also there are constant advertisements, as there are on every free app. But the whole game relies on these ads! Want to add something to your beach? Well you need to watch 1-5 ads. Want to unlock that new vehicle you spent levels on earning? Not until you watch an add first! Want to move onto the next level? Well an add is required for that too. Every restart tp a level requires one as well. The only difference between the same three ads is that some are optional and some aren't. You can skip a level but only if you watch an ad. You can add to the beach but if you skip the ad then you can't earn it, you can earn more keys but only if an ad is allowed. The only you CAN skip an add on is to get past the finished level screen. This game uses ads as loading screens and I would much rather wait a few seconds for the game to load instead of advertising being at every corner and every second. Sure, the game is very fun at first, but it quickly gets old and annoying. I wouldn't recommend it.

Good game BUT..... Good game, but super repetitive! I’m on level 200 and it’s legitimately the same thing over and over. Bit more variety in obstacles and increasing difficulty would be good. My kids (3&5) enjoy it, but they too get bored with it after a while.

Ads out of control. The game is idle fun. Really fun. I paid to remove the ads because I think the developers deserve to be paid. BUT they still try to force you to watch ads or fork out more money constantly. Every time I earn a reward or earn a power up in the game I can only collect it if I watch an ad or pay more money. And the ads are the most ridiculously long ads! Most often they are ads for games (30 seconds) followed by - no joke - sometimes three more count downs where you have to tap an ‘X’ after five extra seconds (3 times!) while being thrown into the App Store and back again. Anyway, a message to the developers, I have given you money so please stop urging me to watch more ads and give more money. It ruins the whole experience.

I only wish you could redo levels, even if they are repeated or similar - I don't care about that, I just like to achieve 3 stars on every level. Too many ads. Great game but the ads are too much to bear. You get an ad almost every level, an interstitial if you don’t, then sometimes a bonus ad for no valid reason. Levels take about 20 sec to do. Lower the ad beatings and you’ll increase engagement meaning your app will get better ad payments.

New problem. It says you have to be 16 and you need to accept them taking your information for customisation. But if your younger than 16 you can’t help that. And I don’t want customisation. So I lied and said accept so I could change it back in settings because otherwise I couldn’t play. But it didn’t have an option to change it back. ☹️ IT was the liar, because it said I could.

This game is filled with fun!. Why does everyone say that the ads are terrible? Like I know it gives you an ad every second game but just C’mon, 5 secs through the ad you can just skip it!!! Spending money doesn’t relieve you of ads. I spent nearly $5 to get rid of ads as there were so many long ones that game play was ruined. However, every time you win a reward in the game, it still forces to to watch another long ad before you can claim it. Because I’m still playing it, I rated two stars. Would have received much higher if they truly took away the ads when you paid.

Game great - Excessive ads not. I would love this game so much more if I could play through more than one level without having 2-3 ads come up every time. So many ads- fail!. This looks like a good game, but in the very short time I played I had at least ( maybe more) 8 ads. Every press of the button gets another ad. Play game- ad, collect reward- ad. Now I will delete. Try to put ads in for rewards or timed further apart. Shame because if I could get into it without the constant 30 second adds every 5-10 seconds it could be good.

Such a shame.... This seemed like such a great little puzzler, but oh my goodness, the number of pop-up ads is insane! I generally don’t mind the odd ad here and there, like after every ten levels or so, or to double your rewards (if you want to), especially if the game is fun. This? This was not fun. This was just over the top! This did not seem like a game, it felt more like a 24/7 shopping channel on TV with all the ads that you let run. Sadly, as a result, I’ve deleted the game... Great Game, Shameful Revenue Grab. I like playing this game. It’s simple, almost mindless fun. However, like many others have said, the ads are obnoxious. The sheer volume of advertising is ridiculous. The only way to play this game without going insane is to turn off your Wi-Fi, which really isn’t ideal. The game itself deserves a 5 star rating, but the blatant ad revenue grab really spoils the experience. It is such a shame.

Internet required to do anything. The game itself is fun, and works fine, with well-done artwork and quick load time... However, there is no point playing if you’re not connected to the internet the entire time; as rewards you earn are lost unless you watch ads. DO NOT GET THIS APP!!!. Reasons why: - Way too many ads I saw the other reviews about how many ads there were but I thought it would be okay so I played the first 2 levels that were so quick and got an ad straight away - Ads are too long As I said I played the first 2 levels which took me literally 5 seconds and then had an ad straight away. But it wasn’t a 5 second or 10 second ad, it was a long and boring 30 second ad - Too easy and very unenjoyable To top all of this ad stuff off it was just so unenjoyable! Having the first 2 levels done in 5 seconds was NOT enjoyable. Anyway I waited the long boring ad and when that was finally over I finished the next level in 2 seconds. I deleted this game because of how unenjoyable it was and how many ads there were and I only played 3 levels! I actually was going to give zero stars but it made me give at least 1. I 100% recommend that you do not get this game!

Repeatedly crashing 🤬. Ok game. This game is ok I have seen better but it’s good for 4 levels and up it’s not that entertaining. I only got it because I get bored very fast and it looked like a different kind of game.

It’s good, but..... There are quite a few bugs that need to be fixed. And don’t bother sending them an email, because they don’t reply or fix the issues. I am on level 4146 at this moment, with just over 21 million diamonds ... it is very repetitive but sill I keep going back to it. As for subscribing to them... that’s a load of @&$;& . They shouldn’t be asking for $165 per year for what they are offering. The ONLY up side to this game is that you can play it nonstop, unlike other apps where you normally have minimum amount of go’s before you what to wait to play again.

This game is awesome and I love everything about the latest update except this: in sand city the buildings on the beach used to give me money about once a day, more for the expensive buildings. Please restart this because it was my main source of income and also idle income and because realistically you would make money if you opened a cafe or a Ferris whell.

Ad removal. I can’t understand why you need to pay $4.49 to remove ads. To then upgrade to vip for a weekly fee after the 3 day trial to remove ads to upgrade cars etc.. Why? If you advertise to remove ads then you remove all ads. This is double dipping for the same outcome. I’m going to raise the issue with Apple.

Not enough challenge. You read the title: it’s too easy and after like less than a day you’ve spent your gems on everything and then you can’t spend any more because there is nothing to spend on. Great, but to many ads.. This game has way to many ads. And they are to long, although this game is very soothing. I’m quite relaxed about the game and currently on level 81. The amount I see of ads each day while playing this is about 18. But this game i recommend about relaxation.

Most repetitive game ever. I got up to level 300 and it’s the same things on every level. The obstacles change here and there but they’re all the same. Introduce a couple of challenge modes like only being able to draw one line or using the smallest amount of lines as possible DO SOMETHING TO ADD SOME VARIETY

Too many ads!. I like the game and I know you need ads to make money but there are way too many. I stopped playing today because there were ads after every move made in the game. Consider limiting to a few adds per 30 minutes of play. If I end up stopping play because of he numerous ads again I will uninstall the game.

Awesome game! An awesome glitch. I love the app and i have found a glitch, on certain levels (like 118 and 136 i think) you can tap the sand then press restart and you get a bonus level i tried this 20 times it worked every time it’s a great way to get gems!

Was fun but new update is kinda eh. I used to really enjoy playing this game. Daily tasks were fun to try and achieve but now that they’ve ‘updated’ with a Sand Pass, not so much. Without the pass, only one level unlocks per day and the ‘rewards’ are paltry, at best. Also, with no more daily tasks to achieve, there’s really no point in playing anymore. No Family Sharing. Cute little game. Long ads are constant so it’s impossible to play without paying to remove them. I figured I could give it back to my daughter now that she has her own iPad, but the game is not eligible for in-game purchases family sharing. Now, I’ve tried to buy it again, and the first attempt seemed to go through. However, the ads haven’t stopped, restoring purchases only tells me it was purchased with a different Apple ID, and trying to repurchase won’t connect to a payment funnel. Every other app I’ve shared with my family so far has worked and they are free. This one isn’t worth $3.99 nor my time and frustration. Removing ads shouldn’t be considered an in-game purchase. Checked the rating, it says 12+, then an ad popped up for a game called Chapters with 2 women in bed, one with a metal collar around her neck in bed while the other leans in to kiss her. Disgusting that a fun game is ruined by sexually explicit ads and even more disgusting that content creators sign up to market this garbage. As well this game is super easy and there is no challenge which leads me to believe it was meant for children and in that case these greedy developers should not be offering this ridiculously overpriced subscription. Simple time waster avoid the ads. It’s a pleasant time waster game to fidget with while watching a video or something. Unfortunately the ads got it a 2. They come after every 1-2 levels and take twice as long as the levels. This can be avoided by closing and reopening the game, which takes less time than an ad. You will also want to swipe up fast if you don’t want to expose yourself to games involving zit popping and DIY cartoon erotica. Lastly, also can’t silence the ads so don’t use this one to kill time where you are not supposed to be in your phone.

Newest update. I’m not a fan of this late Halloween theme where the balls are glow in the dark and everything else is like pitch black. I cant see the level in playing on and I can’t see the obstacles.

Lol, VIP. Here's a sample of what's wrong with this game: - it's repetitive. There's probably like 20 unique levels that get recycled majorly and copied and pasted. I'm past level 800 and it's all copy paste at this point - it's not challenging. There aren't any real puzzles or anything, just your usual pressing buttons or routing through pipes - it's badly designed. Some levels are straight up broken and clearly weren't tested. Some levels cause balls to unfairly get stuck at some platform because the physics engine decided to have way too high friction values between balls, causing them to get stuck often - it's a liar. I purchased the no ads package, which was borderline ridiculous in its pricing. Still, I thought (at the time) that the game was high enough quality and worth it for the ad-free experience. Yeah well it does get rid of the automatic ads, but you still need to watch ads any time you want to unlock a new car, or get extra keys, or skip levels, or open a loot chest (one of the ones that you pick up through the level). In other words, they didn't have fine print stating this and can literally be sued for false advertising - it's shallow. Sand city literally should be renamed "people who are either dumb or stole mom's credit card to buy imaginary city buildings that do nothing at all in a game about falling balls" - it's ridiculous. VIP just came out. They listened to the fans saying they want more balls, they want scrollable levels, they want less ads. They did all of those things, except they want to charge 25 bucks a month for it. Let that sink in. 25 bucks a month (or over a hundred a year) for the amazing privilege of getting regular update content and not having ridiculous ads as a paywall behind a lot of game actions. Except, guess what, despite spending over a hundred dollars a year for their super repetitive, unchallenging, badly designed, lying, shallow, ridiculous game about balls, they STILL haven't gotten rid of all ads and force ads on you in the game. Let all that sink in before you go ahead and perpetuate the market value of this tumor of an app.

This is NOT a good game. First after every 10 second or so level there’s a thirty second ad. Ads after levels. So, I’m okay with the ads after the levels, but I’m playing at home with a strong WiFi connection and the ad pops up after a level, plays for about 2 or 3 seconds, then the screen turns black. The first time this happens I wait a little while, but nothing happens, so I exit the app and reload it to play again. However, the diamonds I had earned on that level had not been added and I am currently stuck at 331 diamonds, and have been for 3 levels. It’s a fun game, however there are many bugs and is very annoying. This also happens when I watch an ad for a free chest or more keys, except it finishes the video, then turns black and there is no exit button, so I have to reload the app and my reward is not given. Great app, needs bug fixing.

Horrible after the update. After the past few updates the game has gotten horrible. It is completely different than the game I have played for over a year. The new levels are fun. But the whole concept is stupid. I have played over 20 levels and not gained any stars. But I’m getting perfect on all the levels. It’s basically pointless to even play. Hopefully there’s another update soon that fixes all of the problems and changes the game to be somewhat what it was before.

Progress only lasts so long. I was shocked at how, after flowing and progressing so nicely, it nearly halted all progress. You complete levels to “build” a little town, completing more levels to unlock certain things. No biggie. Most things that were built only took 100 levels at the most to complete. Now, I have to complete 2,000 levels to build 1 object and move on?! I am definitely bummed. I really enjoy this game, despite the onslaught of ads. I want to continue because it looks like I can branch out from the beach area but completing 2,000 levels will take some time.

Fun but misleading 'no ads' IAP.. This game is fun and easy to pick up. It's not so easy to master tho. Be warned though, $2.99 for "no ads" really means $2.99 for less ads. I paid and within 30 seconds I had been presented with two more ads. I thought maybe it'll take a little time for the 'no' ads to kick in, but now it's been a lot of time. Here's a tip for the developer: where I live, "no ads" means none, zilch, zero, not 'a few less than before.' I'll definitely be asking for a refund from Apple on this one. But I'll keep playing it, even with its ads because it's entertaining.

Almost gave 5 stars. This morning, I was in the App Store and I was thinking of giving this game a 5 star review. Then I saw a new update, and got excited. I updated this game, and suddenly it started glitching! I opened the app, and saw the new updates. It looked good, until I tried to play. When I pressed the play button and suddenly it brought me to my home page! After a few tries it finally went, but when I tried to go back to the island, it glitched and sent me to the home screen! The game was really fun until this happened, which is why I gave it 3 stars instead of 1. I hope this problem will be fixed, so I could enjoy it again.

Fun but glitches make it hard to advance. I’ve been enjoying this game a lot. However, recently I have been experiencing issues that have made it had to advance. Places where the cannon that shoots the sand balls kept missing the target so it forced me to restart several times until it finally made it. Then, on level 68, the trap you have to go through (only was past it is through) destroys the sand balls so you don’t have enough left to finish the round. It’s very frustrating. No options to skip the level. No options for help. And everywhere online where I look for help, their level 68 is totally different. Looks like I’ll be deleting this app since I can’t advance.

Sand Balls ads featuring lesbian sex, voyeurism, sugar daddies. I paid the app the extra fee for “ad free” but that was a waste of money. Ads continually pop up at almost every level. What I’m most angry about is that my 8-year old granddaughter who was playing Sand Balls came to me asking about what she was seeing on the ads I paid to get rid of. Imagine my shock when I saw several ads for “Chapters” featuring lesbians making out on a bed, and “Sugar Daddies” and cheating boyfriends with voyeurism and adult/teen sexual content. I’m LIVID!! What can I do to punish/stop this kind of content? I can’t retrieve this sweet 8-year old’s innocence!! Pretty spiffy little game.. I like the update with the islands and in general it’s a nice little game. Challenging enough to keep you engaged but not so challenging you find yourself getting frustrated.... except... I’m only taking away one star because there’s a couple levels with glitches that you have no way to get past the obstacle and complete. I believe they’re on the Underground Island where there should be a bucket to drop a specific color of balls that will open a gate but the bucket is not there. So you’re forced to skip the level and lose stars for completing it.

BEWARE!!! Inappropriate ads for a game rated age 4+. This is a mom who monitors the iCloud account of 7- and 9-year-old boys. The age rating on this game needs to be changed if the developer is going to show ads for another game that has two girls in lingerie with a thought bubble that says “she is so hot!” and a button that says “kiss her”. I tried to close it but it wouldn’t close so I had to quit the app. I wish I had read more of the 1-star reviews before downloading the game. This is a huge disappointment. Apple needs to monitor the ad content, not just the game content. The developer needs to be more forthcoming with their ad content when submitting the age rating to Apple. I will not recommend this game if inappropriate ads are going to pop up.

Love this game. I love this game, it’s such a relaxing puzzle game, my favorite thing to play before bed or just taking a break between other things. My only real complaint and the only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars, is because in order to buy the “VIP” version, it costs a weekly $5.99! I’m sorry, but as much as I love this game, 6 bucks a week to dig little virtual balls through sand is too much!! I would love to support the developers by being able to buy an ad free version, or any version that gets me some sort of perk for power ups, but a weekly subscription is too much for what the game is.

Requires me to give personal data. The gameplay is fun, but I have to give 1 star to demonstrate how frustrated I am about this issue. I just opened the game to play a few rounds (I hadn’t played in a few weeks), and a message pops up that requires me to agree that the game can collect my personal data in order to target ads better. There was no option to decline this and play the game. You could only accept the data collection if you wanted to play. That is just so fundamentally wrong to me, and annoys me so much. I want to play a fun little pocket game for 5 minutes a day, why are you entitled to my personal data? The only way game companies will understand that this won’t fly is by our reactions. If we just all hit accept and go on with our lives, they’ll never change. Speak up with reviews of your own if you really want to see them change it.

Zero Stars. Old Sand Balls was MUCH better. The new update was absolutely horrible. I’ve never deleted a game so quickly. I’ve had this game for such a long time and it was always entertaining and fun because you didn’t really had to think, just do. I got passed so many levels and had so much progress. This new update is clearly a financial issue I guess? Trying to make money by forcing players to either forge up money or watch an add to add more money to your pocket. The game is completely different and no longer effortless or enjoyable. It’s audience has clearly changed, though from the most recent reviews, I’m not the only one that thinks so. I came back to the game to see if they may have changed it back due to all the negative reviews, but looks like that won’t happen. So sad to see such a good and enjoyable game go :/

New puzzle levels are impossible. The new puzzle levels are impossible to beat without luck. First you have to guess at physics or get a hint that ends up making no sense. And most of the time it only randomly works even when doing the correct thing. I am currently stuck in India level with a fan that I can’t turn off and a bomb that is useless. I’ve used up all my hints to tell me what I already figured out which is how to block the spikes with two boards and still can’t win or move on. It still has the old levels that also sometimes have bizarre physics like balls that can pass through walls or go uphill, and have impossible spike sections that you can only hope won’t kill all your balls. Boring frustrating game after updates.

Fun but ad free is not as free. The game is an enjoyable way to destress. The ads are distracting and some are not appropriate for young children. My son is 9 and plays this game a lot. I’m talking about those “real life” scenario game ads. I paid for the no ad version however if you want to upgrade the car or get bonus items you have to watch an ad. What’s the point of paying for ad free play if you still have to watch ads to get items or upgrades??? If it weren’t for that ad nonsense I would have given a 4 or 5. It’s not terribly challenging which is nice, but sometimes boring. Maybe throw in a more challenging puzzle here and there and you’ve got a 5 star game for sure. Especially if ad free is truly ad free.

Paid for no ads...all I see is ads!. I bought this game for my young child and paid $2.99 to “remove ads”. While it did remove the 30 second ad clips between levels, I continue to see ad after ad trying to get me to buy into their subscription service, which is crazy overpriced. I shouldn’t have to watch a ad to receive a free gift. I shouldn’t have to watch an ad to get three stars. Want to get a grass park in sand city? No problem! Just watch this ad. It’s false advertising to charge people to remove ads when it’s littered with buttons to trick the user to click on them anyway. It’s deceptive and wrong. My child can’t even play this game without accidentally pressing the wrong button. I won’t be buying any more games from this company and I encourage everyone else to do the same until they change their practices.

Is there more?. I’m almost to level 400, this game is simple and fun, and sometimes challenging in all the right ways. However, at this point, there’s hasn’t been anything new. No new traps, no new obstacles, nothing has changed, and I feel like I’m repeating the same levels over and over again. This game is super addicting, but if this is it, then I’m out. Also, the ads are insane. One after every level, then more to watch in order to unlock stuff you already earned. I could have collected all the cars and balls at this point, but sometimes I just can’t bear the thought of watching another ad to get them.

Sometimes it is not worth it for me to even play this game because I’ll end up spending more time watching adds than playing the game. Some of the adds are inappropriate which makes the game a risk for younger kids to play. This especially annoys me because the game other wise would be a great game for my younger brother to play accept I can’t let him on account of some of the adds. I think that if you want a game to be for all audiences, you should filter your adds before letting them on. Other wise the game is fun but the adds kinda ruined it for me

Paying for vip with no change to the game. I just started paying 5.99 for the vip.. it worked for 2 of the 3 free days but now it’s back to normal but I’m still being charged. So I went to my apps and unsubscribed and clicked to buy it again it it said I’m already vip. I’m very angry cuz this is my favorite game.. I’m past level 4000 and a very loyal sandballs customer but this is making me very upset. (Also I clicked 2 stars to rate but it wouldn’t let me “submit my nickname” so I changed it to 5)

Great game! Except for.... Okay. This is a really good game and it is one of my favorites, but there are two things that bring down my rating. The first one is ads. Pretty much after every level, there is an ad. Then when you want to unlock a car, there is an ad sitting right there. There are just so many ads! The other thing that brings my review down is the chest room. Once you get three keys, you go to the chest room. There, you have a one ninth chance of getting the best reward on each try. However, things are not as they seem. I have been playing this game for about two months and not once have I gotten the best reward. The game makes it so that you have to watch an ad to actually get the best prize. Honestly, if it weren't for the ads, I would give this game five stars.

fun but.... there are so many ads. i get free games have to make money some how but come on!!? i just want to play the game without an ad popping up after every level, and some of them u can’t even skip. also who in there right mind would pay $20 for vip!!?!!?! you’re smoking dick if u think anyone is gonna may THAT much for nothing special. i can also see why moms are complaining there are inappropriate ads for kids because almost every ad is about that stupid episodes/chapters games with half naked people making out. why??? i will say however that the gamemakers definitely took in the feedback and expanded the map and let you keep the cars in an inventory. now, i have more of a reason to play, as oppposed to before the update when i basically beat the game and had nothing else to do.

No How-To or Replay. Many have pointed out the frustrating over abundance of ads. That aside, there are other problems with gameplay. Some issues could be solved with instructions or guidelines that describe the intent of the game. Others need a change in game design to fix. While this game seems simple & intuitive, most of each course isn’t visible until after a path is chosen, making thoughtful decision making impossible. For a game that relies on basic physics, this makes no sense, is frustrating, and makes gameplay pointless. The futility is compounded by the inability to replay any round. If the player can’t see the majority of the course and consequently doesn’t perform well, then replaying the round would at least provide an opportunity to learn how to improve. But there is no replay available once the player moves on from any round. This is true even if the player exits the game and starts again. This should be fun but it is instead needlessly frustrating, lacking obvious opportunities for enjoyment and learning. The incessant ads are aggravating. Sadly, Sand Balls is a game that is is not only irritating, but also disappointing.

Addicting and fun, but... Let me start off by saying that I’ve played this nonstop on multiple occassions, but what annoys me about this game is the useless VIP membership they offer. You get a couple neat little things that might be good for something you unlock later on, but not for 20 bucks a MONTH, nor 100 a year. I also would like to address the automatic stuff, like whenever I leave the game running for less than a minute, a message pops up, asking if I would like to restart. If I want to restart, I’ll click the button that says to restart myself. They also force alot of gifts and rewards on you, and the button to decline takes so long to show up and to get any of the rewards, which is super tedious. Overall, good game but terrible marketing

Great game, but a couple things. Alright, I’m going to start out by saying that this is a generally amazing app. It’s quite fun and addictive. There are a few things that aren’t as great, though. The first thing that popped out at me was that when you first open the app, any music that you have playing the background gets cut off. This isn’t too bad, it’s just slightly annoying. Another thing that I noticed right off the bat is that there are a lot of adds. When I say a lot, I mean a lot. In fact, some of the adds also cut off music with blaring audios. Again, this isn’t the worst thing that there is. The biggest problem that I have with this app is that when your “daily income” is ready to be collected, they send you about two notifications for every minute that you don’t open the app. This is extremely annoying if you are trying to finish schoolwork or other things. I suggest not allowing this app to send you notifications. Overall, this is an amazing and addictive app, but these things are a little annoying and should be fixed. I definitely suggest getting this game, but don’t waste money on it.

Gross and disgusting.. I find it gross that a game like this shows ads for condoms from Playboy. My little one was playing this game and it turned into a very awkward and embarrassing moment when that ad appeared. Try telling a curious child that it’s something you can’t explain till they’re waaaaay older. After the first ad I thought it was perhaps a glitch to not let something so inappropriate through any form of censoring for a child like game. Though after the first one it just kept appearing every single time my little one would finish a new lvl or win some special prize. I had to sadly delete my little one’s favorite game from my phone. Thanks for making mommy seem like the bad guy after I had to tell little one the game must go away. 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Repetitive Levels and Toxic Videos. Although this app is satisfying - pulling the balls through the sand and strategizing -there have been many levels that were the same from the beginning as you progress. My biggest issue with this game, and the reason why I removed it from my families devices, is because even when you pay to upgrade the advertising videos are nearly inescapable. On top of that, the content of the ads which are shown has very negative influences, some of which is sensitive in nature and inappropriate for kids and many adults alike. IF the levels had more variety, but more importantly IF one could progress in the paid version without *any* advertisements, I would rate this much higher.

Kept repeating levels. This game was not good. When I tried to play the game on airplane mode when I was in an area without internet. I completed at least five levels. When I reconnected to the Internet I had to replay those same levels. It keeps giving me the same levels to go through over and over. At this point I played level 66 at least four times because the first time was without internet, the second time was with internet, the third time I completed it but I went out of the app when the ad was on so it didn’t count it and by the forth time I didn’t want to play the game anymore. I’m writing this here because I have played many other free games with ads and none of them ever have done this. This was also the first game I ever used where it showed an ad in the middle of the screen in the beginning a level.

Seriously best game ever. First off, offensiveturkey’s featured comment had me rolling. That comment pretty much sums up how awesome this game is. And the vip effects are amazing. Literally the only flaw I have seen in this game is on the bonus levels in the areas where the ball bounces through a bunch of pegs, sometimes gets stuck. And on the end where the ball hits the fan and flys up into the spike, the ball sometimes gets stuck beside the fan. Other than that, 5 well deserved stars! Hope that area on the beach is coming sooner than later! Already got the first area maxed out. :p

The scroll bar with V.I.P. I love this game so much and I’m already at level 953 and it’s so fun but there’s one thing about the VIP game that when u use the scroll to go up and down sometimes it will cut the sand and mess me up so can you please move the scrolling bar or make it bigger so that then it doesn’t cut the sand and mess you up. But for now the game is so fun and addictive. Thank you for making and publishing this wonderful app. Also if you want to give me a free 3 month trial or something I would appreciate it. Amazing but. I love the game absolutely addictive but sometimes when I have to take the balls into two groups I get focused one one group then the other group of balls is up and I can’t go up and get it I’m giving this game a five star rating since it doesn’t have anything wrong with it but I just wish that there is something that I can pull on the right side of the screen so like if I pull it up the screen goes up and I can take my other group of balls wouldn’t that be amazing? I’m just wondering if you could put that in the game and if you could put it in then please do😅anyways thank you 😊

Fun, but the ads... :/. I really like it! It’s fun, calm, relaxing, easy, and not too frustrating (which I find a problem in a good handful of games). The only thing I don’t like is that there are ads in the most annoying spots. Like when you get a new car you have to watch an ad to get it, which I find irritating after playing levels to get it. Isn’t that enough to get a new car in a 𝘨𝘢𝘮𝘦? Is the extra ad really necessary? No. Anyway things like that annoy me and sorry about that. This game deserves five stars except that the ads are annoyyyyyyyingggg and after about ten minutes it gets boring. Other than that, I really like it and think it’s great.

Level Slider Not Worth VIP. Obviously nothing in this game is worth PAYING for the VIP subscription, but I decided to do the free trial in order to temporarily unlock the level slider, and it’s honestly not even worth that. it actually makes the game harder to play sometimes, because whenever you move it, it gives you like 5 seconds before automatically sliding back down to the bottom of the screen. i really like this game for how low-key and de-stressing it is, but using that stupid slider leaves me cursing at my phone like every five seconds. so yeah this is a nice time waster game, but if you’re thinking of getting vip for the level slider, know it’s not even worth the hassle of canceling before the end of the trial.

I love this game 😍😍😍😍. I love this game so much it’s so relaxing. And my kids stressed me out and so I get on and so much joy come out of my body it’s so relaxing and it’s a great puzzle game to solve it just had a new update to it and I think the update is more better so it makes me play more you are more more more and more so whoever is reading this review please buy the scary I’m begging you you’re gonna love it so much to where your body was explode no I’m not a big fan of games but this game is the best game of my whole entire life if I die inside my graveyard somebody have to put up this picture of this game when I die

All ads all the time and $20 a month for fewer of them. Really, people? The ads last longer than the game play and they’re everywhere and pop up after every single thing you do and some are on the screen while you’re playing, including on the playing field. Wanna get rid of them? That’ll cost you $6.00 a week, $20 a month or $100 a year. I get all the movies and shows and programs I want to watch on Netflix, ad free, for less than that and those shows cost way more money to make than this game did— and Netflix is ACTUALLY ad free and this isn’t, even after you pay, according to the reviews. You guys must think we’re all suckers. The game isn’t worth the pain of the ads or the money you want to remove some but not all of them.

So many ads. As a disclaimer, the game is fun and relaxing to play. However, I played it for about 5 minutes and I deleted the game. This is because of the extreme amount of ads in the game. There are ad banners at the bottom of the screen, video ads after almost every level or two, ads for getting more items, and a new kind of ads where it shows a video/picture overlaying the level’s play area. This is extremely obnoxious, especially when the ads were showing more than me playing the game. This is the reason why I hate mobile gaming. Remember when games were meant to entertain the player and not for making huge amounts of money and not caring about the gamer’s experience? Well, I can’t. And I bet this game will make you forget too.

Developers just got too greedy. When I first installed this game it was just a simple physics style game with the occasional add here and there. It was a perfect time waster when you needed to kill a few minutes. I just opened it back up today to see that the developers have now added a whole FarmVille style town-building aspect to the game for no other reason than to sell more of the ingame currency. All the thousands of diamonds I had collected? Oh we use coins a rubies now so those aren’t worth anything now but we will trade you for 5 rubies. Wow thanks. What a deal. It’s just absolutely ridiculous that they went the route of the typical mobile game dev and sold out their name just to make more money. It’s companies churning out absolute junk like this that give mobile games such a bad name. Turned it Into a run of the mill cash grab.

Fun, but they violate and override your iOS settings.... This game has been fun. But, there have been too many things getting in the way of just enjoying it, and part of it flat out violates various iOS settings. 1. There’s no way to try a level again if you didn’t score three stars if you hit the button to move on. There needs to be a map that allows you to go back and try a level again and get a better score. 2. At times, it seems like there’s an ad after EVERYTHING. Constant, constant ads. But having an ad doesn’t bother me as much as this does... 3. A large chunk of their ads violates and disregards iOS settings. I have my settings kept on silent with my iPad. Half the ads that started playing ignored my silent setting and played with sound. Worse, half those ads HAD NO WAY TO MUTE IT!! This has to be a violation of things as this not only overrides settings in the system, but it doesn’t give the user any way to control muting something when they override a setting blatantly. This has to be a reportable offense. This needs to be fixed ASAP!!!!

Good game. I did not know there was so much to this game. I love how you can make your own city at “Sand City” but there is something I need you to work on the people they can walk on the water and the can walk through things. It’s kinda weird though but I think you need to fix this and other things like how I used to love that you could scroll through the levels but then something just went wrong and that scroll thing was a vip thingy now and it made me so mad 😡. But anyways I also thought you should make it to where some of the effects could be free and some could be vip. I guess that would be fair. But other then that this is a very fun game and I’m addicted to it.

Sand Trap. Fun and amusing game to start, and no doubt satisfying. But the levels don’t change or get progressively harder. Just the same obstacles in different order. Now I’m on level 567, and I’ve built everything possible except for two things... the bank, which requires 1 million diamonds. At most a free prize, after an ad, will net you 6k diamonds. A single level earns you less than 100. Who could ever possibly make it to 1M at that rate? The 2nd project currently in the works is the Ferris Wheel, which requires 250 trips to the factory with 8 cars. 250x8 is 2,000 levels!!! To build one Ferris wheel??!! This is probably a stall tactic until new worlds are built, but I’m not sticking around to find out. No incentive anymore.

Awesome game but...... So, I love the game mechanics and honestly it’s addicting and fun, but there is SO MANY ADS!!! I know that it is a ad based game, but, for example, I was playing a level, and an ad came on, and when it was over, it showed how many gems I got even though I was in the middle of a level! I recommend that you get it if you like a challenge and if you are ok with MILLIONS of ads!! Plz pray for the creators of this game to take away some of the ads!! 🙂🙃🙂 Also, I wish that in the last page of balls that you can get that there was more of those! Also, I’ve gotten all of the cars and it just keeps repeating the cycles of cars!😇🙂😇

Don’t get me wrong it’s a good I’ve had for about month or 2 and I’m here to say it needs more much more I don’t know maybe more buildings like a doctor’s office a hospital expand the city and there are these ads with two girls about kiss each other or two boys about to kiss each other I don’t what that’s about but please fix it it’s really weird but back to the expanding things bit different little people like a doctor firefighter police and like little events that go on in the city people getting robbed well... maybe not that considering kid’s play this game building on fire people sick party’s on the yachts or at the house’s car dealership’s but overall it’s a good game I hope you read this devs

Bad... Where do I start. This game is just bad. I liked it at first because I thought it was a nice game. I like digging to get all the balls but then when I played more and more over the days... I got worse. And I eventually deleted it. Then I noticed my friend playing it so I downloaded it again. I played yesterday and a little bit today and I’m probably going to delete it again because of how stupid it’s become. First of all, when you unlock a car you have to watch a video. It’s so stupid. “Here is car!” “Yay!” “Now you have to watch an ad!” “Ugh.” It’s really annoying honestly. Two, the stupid Sand City. What the heck!! You ruined the game with this... Sand City? It’s honesty out of place. If you wanted to make a “create a city game”, THEN JUST MAKE A STINKING CREATE A CITY GAME! Three, when I played this morning I noticed that they have a thing where you can go back up on the level to look at the upper part of the level. That made me like the game a little bit more because if you missed some balls you can go back up and get them. But then when I started another level it said that I HAD to have vip to continue using it. Honestly this game is really bad. And I don’t recommend it. 😒 See y’all. ✌🏼

Decent game, but waaaaaaaaaay too many ads!. It’s a fun little game, but there’s just way too many ads! I understand that free apps will come with ads. And for good reason. I’m all about supporting developers, whether it’s through dealing with ads, or paying to get an ad-free version, but this game comes with an ad after almost every screen change. Want free gems or upgrades or whatever they are? Watch this 30 second ad first! You don’t want the stuff and choose “no thank you”? Watch this 30 second ad before continuing! I’ve played many free apps that don’t have half the amount of ads this game does. It doesn’t make me want to pay for an ad-free version. It makes me want to delete it. Even if it were only a one time payment of 99 cents, much less the price gouging prices of their subscription options. To be honest, I don’t know if the subscription “VIP” options are the only way to go ad-free, because the “No Ads” button in their options menu doesn’t work for me, so only the “VIP” subscriptions would show. It’s almost like they made it that way, so that you have no choice in the matter. Just like sitting through their ads.

Glitch or what. Hello, I’ve been playing sand balls for some months and I enjoy it very much but there’s one little problem that has recently started. The part where the spikes come in and out and the balls have to go through is glitching or something. The spikes don’t go in they just stay out and makes it honestly impossible for balls to go through without being destroyed. I don’t know if it’s suppose to be like that or what be it destroys almost every ball each time I go through it. If it is a glitch then I will gladly wait for you guys to fix it but if it isn’t I think it would be good to change it back to the way it was please :-(.

Love it but......... I love this game it’s awesome but after every level there is an add. It is annoying and some of the adds aren’t even appropriate. And I have played a couple levels where it glitched and I was left with one ball. And to go back up and get the ball you left behind you need to get the subscription witch is $100 a year and I want the subscription but I can’t pay for it. Even though they added these things they aren’t very useful. But the game is fun and I don’t mind playing with the many adds there are. I still think it is an awesome game and people should get it. PS could you creators of the game fix the things I mentioned before then I would give this game a 4 or 5.

More time spent watching adds then playing. Loved this game at first...after a day of playing here and there I spent more time on Ads then actual playing. Pretty much after every level, which lasted maybe 20-30 sec at most, there was always another 15-30 sec add to watch. Deleted the game after 24 hours. Not willing to pay $3 for a ad free game that I won't be playing continuously. I can see having ads is a needed thing to keep the game going..I understand how that works, but this one specifically is through the roof with the amount of ads you have to sit through. I sit to play games here and there if I have a min or so... Not as a hobby. Fun game but not worth my time. This is more ads then game...won't be re-installing it anytime soon.

False advertising. So the game is ok. But be warned. Even after you pay the 2.99 to REMOVE ADS you will still have ads. Just slightly less. There is an ad at the bottom that does not go away and every single time you “unlock” something or earn something you are forced to watch an obnoxiously long 30 second plus ad to actually claim it. And when you use keys to try and get that specialty ball. Yeah, you’ll never get it with the first 3 keys. You’ll be watching 30 second ADS to get extra keys to unlock it. It’ll always be the last 3 keys that actually unlocks it. The only thing the paying money does is remove the ad in between every level. Game still has WAY more ads than it should for paying money. Don’t be baited. It should be removed from the App Store for false advertising.
