Was Great, Until It Wasn’t…. Update: November 2023: I’ve used this app for well over a year and really liked it until a recent update that completely changed the fasting schedule interface. It’s completely useless now, and no longer user friendly. Sad, but I’ve deleted the app today. I want the freedom to set up my schedule how I please and they took that function away, forcing you to have at least a 1 hour eating window. I regularly do longer fasts so this app no longer serves its purpose. Too bad. The developers made a big mistake with this last change. You lost me. Original Review March 2022: I downloaded about four of the leading fasting apps to try and see which I liked best. The startup on the others didn’t make a lot of sense to me as a newbie to fasting. After a couple days I chose to go with Simple because it is exactly that, simple. The interface made the most sense to me, easy to navigate, and I liked the helpful tips and graphics. The only thing I would say needs improvement is their weekly recap with the wellness bot, it’s information is usually quite off for some reason. I’m not sure what’s going on there but it’s a small thing and not really important. I’d say if you’re new to fasting, and looking for an easy helpful tracking app, this is the one.

getting back to normal. i am a person who did not have a weight problem the majority of my life. i wanted to tone up a few years back and this person suggested the eat-every-two-hours calorie breakdown. worst mistake of my life. yeah, i was in great shape, but it started to affect me mentally. i went from a person who never thought about food and just ate when i was hungry to a person who thought about food and calorie intake all the time. it was awful. ive been with Simple for 133 days of this review and my god, the turnaround. i feel mentally healthier which if more important to me. everything else (lean body, good eating habits, etc) is the cherry. i still have some food habits that need refinement, but im taking my time bc i know i will get there. this app is gentle with you, it gives good and practical information, and the few times i have broken my fast a bit early i did not feel bad about it and got back on track. this app is helping me recover. i cant express that enough. i hope this review helps someone. peace.

User friendly. Before simple I struggled to eat consistently during the day then found myself starving at 10pm, then waking up with acid reflux or indigestion. It took me a couple of weeks to get in the swing of things but I just kept logging and not beating myself up. I didn’t even weigh myself for the whole first month till I got the hang of the schedule. I love it now. I never feel bad about eating what I want and notice I feel my best when I’m mixing up the foods I eat. Some days I have optimal healthy days some days good, some days fair. But it’s a healthy balance for mind and body. This app has helped me focus on the process and routine instead of results and it is SO user friendly. Now I’m about 2 months in. I have started weighing myself in the last month, when the app prompts me on my to do list and I am down 8lbs! It has helped me habit build and I am consistently walking the neighborhood each day and love it! I’ve just added some easy strength training this week. I love the daily articles and insights. I don’t read every day but they’re always helpful when I do. If you are looking for user friendly, habit building, “slow and steady wins the race” then this is your app!

Great App! Get it and use it!. This is a great app and I highly recommend it. That said, with a couple of tweaks I think it could go from great to perfect. All the developers need to do is read all of these reviews and optimize it based on the feedback. I agree with most of it. In my experience with it there are only two issues that should be fixed 1) the food choices are bizarre.I understand if it is more general than exact, but it’s kind of a mix of very general and very specific instead. I am annoyed every time I go to choose foods that should be on there and they aren’t, when so many are on there. that shouldn’t be. 2) you enter the time when you eat a meal, but there is no accounting for the duration of the meal (unless I am missing something). So if you eat a meal at 12 noon it says you started fasting at 12 noon. It should ask how long the meal was or at least give each meal at least a 20 to 30 minute radius. If you’re eating a social meal, sometimes the meal could take an hour and a half. Then what? Aside from those two fixes. I love it and think it is a great app, for a great price. I only use a select few apps religiously and this is now one of them. I have recommended it to all of my friends.

Frustrating and Glitchy. I looked forward to downloading this app and being a premium customer. The first few days were great, it kept me on target, gave me helpful alerts and logging my food really made me contentious in a positive way regarding what I was eating. One day I decided to turn my phone off while I slept. In the morning when I turned my phone back on, the app kept saying that I had to sign up and pay. Well I had already paid for 3 months and had only been using the app for 4 days. I attempted to sign in. It did not recognize me. Long story short I had to contact their customer service department to reset my account. Which was hard because I kept getting the run-around from their digital customer service bot. It wasn’t until I asked for a refund that someone (a human) reached out to help me. Since then the app has proved consistently glitchy. If you make a mistake on the time you ate and try to fix it in the so it throws the whole app off. Currently I have to not enter my food intake today so that I can get it back to the current fast regime that I selected (8/16 ratio). I wanted to love this app. I really really did. In fact I’m frustrated that after my 3 months are over I will have to look elsewhere. I am glad however that I’ve been introduced to intermittent fasting. That practice will stay with me forever. But the SIMPLE app is anything but .

Shady business practice. DO NOT BUY. DO NOT TRY unless you’re ready to deal with their headache! No one appreciates deceitful people yet this app does it all. Clicking on “trial” means monthly subscription of $79. Don’t even try, because it’s difficult to cancel. Conveniently doesn’t show in your iPhone settings Apple subscription list. Not sure how they got away with that but they’re that good at stealing people’s money. Unauthorized charges monthly $79. There is absolutely NO customer service phone number or address anywhere that I can find. After contacting Simple through their only method communication (non-responsive email!) and receiving ZERO response, I disputed w/ my credit card, which worked for the month, but Simple keeps charging me the following month! I’ve never used their app! I know how to cancel subscriptions but Simple intentionally makes it impossible (to cancel). I NEVER signed up for. I suspect their 14k positive reviews are bot generated and not real reviews. Business is shady. After months of frustration and $237, my next attempt is to file a complaint with the BBB before they charge me again, against my will! I’ve never filed with BBB before and I hesitate because I LOVE intermittent fasting and believe almost every adult, especially the sickly ones, should be regularly fasting at some points. But stealing money is completely unacceptable.

Great app, but has some issues. I have really benefited from this app. It has made me more aware of my eating habits, as well as making feel accountable to my health. The AI help is, for the most part, is great—providing recipes, food nutritional information, and the like. The articles and other resources are very helpful. However, there are some problems. Because the app doesn’t look at specific nutrients of foods entered, it will make judgments about some things entered without knowing what the truth is. Two examples: I had eaten pizza twice in a week—once the day it was purchased, the second time was leftovers. The app said I had logged “junk food” multiple times. The pizza I buy is carefully selected for its quality of ingredients and would not be considered junk food. Second example was just yesterday: I had a bowl of air-popped popcorn that has three ingredients—popping corn, organic extra virgin coconut oil, and Himalayan pink salt—yet the app flagged this as being high in saturated fat and gave it a low score, despite being high in dietary fiber. I love the simplicity of entering foods generally, but feel like it doesn’t have a full understanding of those foods as a result. I wish there was a way to have the option of including ingredient lists or nutritional information to have a better result. I also wish the app had an option to include more specific macronutrient information rather than the generalized versions included in the app.

Simple Works!. I started program less than a month and I’ve seen weight loss each week. Although, sometimes the check off goals don’t align with me personally. For instance I made the decision not to eat any snacks when I started this program yesterday’s goal was no snacks. If it was monitoring my diet it would know I don’t snack so I didn’t need that for a goal. Also, I am allergic to many things, and it never ask you for your allergies other than very basic things, and it puts my allergies as dairy, free, mine is a little more complicated than that. I love that I never count calories, I do not eat a keto diet on this diet even though it suggest it where I have so many dietary restrictions, I have to eat the food groups that I am not allergic to. It’s still calculates. And keeps me very aware of staying hydrated. It does explain a lot of what foods are not good overall, this is a very effective program. It helps you to journal to know what you were eating and it has a water tracker which I immensely needed.

Doesn’t work as it’s supposed to -stressful/inaccurate. This app brought me more stress than I needed, trying to be perfect instead of according to my own rhythms. Having to constantly log my food/water all day was a pain. And worse, you couldn’t log food/liquid accurately, so you’d get these articles to read that had nothing to do with how you eat. You could log coffee with one type, but not more than one thing. I drink decaf and I put non dairy creamer, coconut oil and cinnamon spice in it. You can only log decaf which doesn’t stop your fast or you can put regular coffee with non dairy creamer which does stop your fast. It’s really inaccurate and forget about logging food! You can try typing it in or using the scanner but the scanner never worked for me. Again, you’re not accurately logging anything because it was hard to find everything. And it says log meals or snacks but never let me log snacks so it looked like I had multiple meals per day then it would send me articles to learn about the difference between snacking and having a meal. Like I was stupid. Really irritating. I used it for 22 days and said no more. It changed my fasting schedule by itself and I just couldn’t deal with it anymore.

a few fixes would make this app even better. for their weekly bot check ins, they don’t give an option for “it was fine, i had no issue weighing in” all of their answer button options make the person answering feel like they should be stressed or feeling bad about weighing in or like it’s some big accomplishment to “feel better” or “be easier” than weighing in the week before. they should have an answer that is just “it was fine”. everything else they offer as an answer choice assigns a negative connotation to weighing in. that’s not only unhelpful, but could be highly triggering to anyone with previous or active body image or eating disorders. it would also be great if there were more pre set options for logging food, like nutrition info from National chains & such. as well as having cups & oz as an option for everything, not everyone has a scale to sort out how many grams of something we ate & some of us could more easily guesstimate portions by cups or oz. just a suggestion. i also can’t seem to find anywhere that it tells you how many calories you’ve consumed when you go through all the hassle of logging everything you’ve eaten in a meal or a day.

Worst Customer Service - Site is a Scam. I tried out the free trial to see if it was worth the cost. I decided it was not, so I canceled my account. My trial was until 11/14, so I canceled on 11/13. I then get an email later in the day on 11/13 that I had been charged $73 for three months of the app. Even though I had canceled already earlier in the day. So I reached out to the customer support, I canceled my account AGAIN, and waited. Keep in mind my trial was to be until 11/14, but they charged me on 11/13, AFTER I had already canceled. I also never got a cancellation confirmation in my email either of the times I canceled, but my account shows as being canceled. Customer support was not helpful AT ALL. They told me that I was charged because I didn’t cancel my subscription, except I did, TWICE, and my account shows canceled. They asked for confirmation of being canceled, which I never got. So I showed them where it says in my account that it’s canceled. They then ask for my user ID and that it can be found at the bottom of the “Me” tab. Except it’s not there. So they’re spinning me around in circles to avoid refunding me for something they should have never charged me for in the first place. Absolutely a scam and would not recommend this app at all.

Lags. The app is good for structure. It does provide some nutritional details about the food you consume written by experts. Some pretty big negatives are the app not keeping time well enough. I’ve logged food and beverage and then realize the app thinks it is yesterday so I am logging items for the previous day. It also doesn’t like it if you start your fast outside of your normal fasting window. I work overnights so I will flip my schedule for the weekend to eat normally with my family. So I sometimes start my fast on the weekend around when I would normally would end my fast. I will start my fast and everything reads like it accepted at the start. The next day it doesn’t recognize I started the fast at all even when I have made sure the time and day were correct when I started the fast. So it’s like the fast never happened. I wish it learned about my overnight schedule as well. I have my normal eating window from 7pm-3am. Yet when I drink coffee during that time I will sometimes get an article about drinking coffee after 3pm. A lot of my complaints may not happen to people who live day schedules. As for me, I doubt I will be renewing this subscription.

Great Ap—terrible billing, payment and customer support. I love the app. It works. It’s easy. I signed up with a free trial for a week. Every time I turned around. I couldn’t use something because a pop-up asked me to subscribe to the best of my knowledge I never did. After a couple days, I received an offer via email offering a free month of the premium app. I excepted this offer assuming that it was related to the offer I had previously accepted , apparently not. When I loaded the new offer all of my history from the previous version disappeared. I didn’t give it too much thought and figured it was some sort of glitch. After a week of using the app I’ve lost 7 pounds. I’m pretty happy then I noticed that I have been charged not once, but twice the whole amount for a subscription which wasn’t supposed to happen until after my free trial. I bring this to the attention of customer service and they tell me that it’s not refundable. We will see what PayPal has to say about that. I would actually like to subscribe and continue using this app after the month trial. It is too bad they’re billing is so messed up. Also, a little advice to the developers. You have a good product you don’t need to engage pushy, annoying sales tactics. They actually detract. I am hoping we can work this out.

Motivates. I just started a few days ago. Immediately I began to be more aware of the situation with My health. As soon as I signed up I read everything up to the videos. I had to stop to go to work. I began the program then. Just knowing that Simple is on my phone seems to make me more aware of what I am doing Before I would eat things and not even remember I was trying to help myself through diet. I remember to fast even before my Program tells me to. I admit I haven’t taken time to record my intake however that changes today. My app had 4 reminders when I woke up. I am going through them now. This has helped to change my behavior already. I find myself thinking about how and what I will do to improve myself. I was recently diagnosed with onset diabetes, stage 3 kidney problems and liver problems. I was so overwhelmed I couldn’t get motivated. Just the name Simple got Me to read the initial program. I don’t think I would have even considered it otherwise. What’s in a Name comes to mind. That’s exactly what I needed, Simple, to get Me going I’m not perfect at it by any means But I have Hope and that is exactly what I needed. Extraordinary I must say What’s in a Name. Thank You SIMPLE

So far so good on iOS. I’m currently using the free trial and have been tinkering with the app and have successfully finished one day of logging food, water intake, and weight loss, etc. I have now started my first fast and I am loving this app. It shows up on the Lock Screen and shows your timer for your fast, it also tells you where your at in your windows for eating depending how many meals you choose to have during your day. Logging food is interesting because your literally just typing what your eating in a paragraph form or even in bullet points like I’m doing. The more details you put the better (like quantity, name of brand, etc) And the AI will interpret what was typed and grade it with a score and give you macronutrient information. I wish the macros were a little more in depth as it only gives percentages. Still I’m not complaining. The chat feature with AI also has been on point with answering my questions really well with great information that’s more then what I even expected (even includes a summary of our conversation at the end). It has not missed a single thing that I have thrown at it. Really excited to finish this trial and see if I should become a subscribed user. Thank you guys for creating a wonderful app to help me create mindful eating habits instead of “winging” it day by day. 🤟🏾😊🙏

Kinda of surprised. I saw this app on a Facebook ad, and I clicked on it with skepticism. They wanted me to pay for it and of course I think it’s a scam so I go to cancel after putting a $7 dollar membership on but something told me to keep it for now. I’ve done Weight Watchers and Noom and all sorts of other things. I have actually been pretty surprised in a good way about this app it’s only been a week and I’m not good with staying consistent but I do find myself really enjoying the articles and my favorite part is watching my blood sugar levels based on what time I ate last. I don’t know why I find that fascinating but they are always a line with my hunger level which- to me I feel like every weight loss app should send that out like “go eat some cucumbers before you make bad choices!”. Anyways, it inspired me to do a 24 hour fast and I’m down four pounds in a week. I dont recommend such a large fast for everyone, but I probably wouldn’t have done that without this app. guiding me through the stages. Good luck on your journeys. Hope this review helps.

Just what I needed. I’ve been struggling with my weight for years. Recently I began to notice increased blood sugar and A1C numbers at the doctor’s office. I am a 68 yo female with rheumatoid arthritis who takes lots of meds that help keep my weight on and sugars high. I saw this app and thought “ I’ve tried everything else let me try this”. I’m glad I did. The beauty of IF is each person decides where to place their eating hours and their fasting hours and how many hours of each. I decided to start wit 16:8. While I’m usually not hungry first thing in the morning I begin my fast about 5 pm. And then the “kitchen is closed” until I’m ready to eat the next morning. I used to snack continuously in the evening but due to fasting I no longer do that. Sometimes I am able to push my fast longer to 18 hours. It’s been a little over a month and I’ve lost 7 lbs. Also the artificial intelligence “AVO” is like having a human coach who pushes you to eat better and get some movement in your life. The app constantly sends articles that corresponds with your logged meals that give you dietary info to help you eat more healthy. I’m glad I invested in the app.

Waste of money, got ripped off!!!. I got suckered into this app by an advert on Instagram. “Try for $1 for a week! Satisfaction guaranteed in first 30 days!” Well, I ended up paying for the fist 12 weeks up front for $35 because it was a “discount” offer and I figured if I didn’t like it, the guarantee would cover me. Well, I was absolutely WRONG. I start the app, and it is super cheesy. Not custom tailored to your needs at all. It’s basically an over glorified timer to remind you when to eat and stop eating. Logging meals is annoying, you have to search through a bunch of emojis that match with what you ate. I used this diligently for about 4 days and I hated it. I honestly was already intermittently fasting before this app, without even trying. This will not be helping me with my weight loss journey, so I contacted their support team to help me with my refund. I was told that I have to use this annoying app for 30 days and then, I’ll only get a 50% refund. They don’t stand by their guarantee, so BEWARE. Don’t fall for it like I did. You’ll surely be disappointed. Just set a timer on your phone for a window of 8 hours to eat, and that’s basically what you’re paying for. Not to mention the app is super buggy, I had to constantly re-log meals twice, the app on the Apple Watch does NOTHING. It’s total garbage.

After an inauspicious start. After an inauspicious start, mostly the poor reviews about different screens for different users and phone types, trouble with customer service and getting refunds, being double charged and a few other issues… I have had a remarkably good 33 day experience. I did buy a 3 month subscription at a not unreasonable price, though I canceled so as not to be recharged at the end of my 3 months, July 7 for those who asked. After reviewing the help section and “how to” tips I dove right in. The result was 10 pounds down in that time, better sleep, lost all need to snack, drink water like it’s my job, became more cognizant of what type of food I eat, the list goes on. Of course the app is helpful in reminding me of tasks, offering food suggestions, advising me to switch up eating windows to fit my life rather than never deviating from the strict 16/8. Sometimes I reach 16 other times 17, 18, 20 and my best a 22 hour fast. I never had the calorie counting option some users had and enjoy not being a slave to those numbers. All that being said and being very skeptical about bad (and good) reviews, I will wait and see what transpires at the end of my 3 months. I hope that customer service will improve for those who are dissatisfied and the makers of the app will listen to what the customers want/need in the app. Otherwise the app helps me to do what it says it can and I am happy but watchful.

Great App!. I just started using this. I didn’t see the option to do the trial, but would have probably ended up committing anyway because I love it so much. Putting money behind my commitment motivates me to stick with it so it’s worth the cost. I have seen zero free apps so it’s silly for people getting on this app for not being free, especially if you have a trial. I think this was really affordable. I agree with a previous review about our body being exhausted, sugar up, etc. It does worry me when I see that but I’m new to this so it’s hard to really judge that. I think there should be more choices for food. Twice I’ve had cereal and don’t know how to record it. For such a common food choice, or even snack choice, I’m surprised to not find that but find seaweed. Maybe add a feature where you can add a food choice to be approved by admin or something. I’m all about details. I don’t know if serving side vs how much you actually eat is important, but I think it is. Portions are important. Maybe add a feature where you can edit or add the food choice and manually enter calories, fiber, carbs, and sugar per serving. Other than dying for more detail with food choices, this app is amazing and I’m so excited to use it and start seeing results! Thank you for such a cool and easy app for beginners along with seasoned fasters!

Used to be great. :(. This app used to provide continuously updated content and education catered to the users individual eating and fasting habits. It was great. Each new day opening the app was like Christmas morning. However, I renewed my premium subscription about 6 months ago and there’s been… nothing. No new insights, no articles, nothing. I’m not sure what I’m paying for anymore. It’s sad because I really did love this app at one point, and I would love to come back if they ever start putting work into it again. Below is my previous 5 star review for reference: Intermittent Fasting (IF) makes weight loss and health simple and easy. This app makes Intermittent Fasting simple and easy, so it works out well! The app makes it easy to track your eating and fasting windows. I especially like the Insights—simple click thru slides with tips and even short lessons in biology so you can get an idea about how your body is changing. I find it all fascinating! Only reason for the 4 stars is that it is a tad buggy at times. For a while it was not changing when I went to edit my goal weight. Also I’ve noticed that I’ll get alerts that new Insights are available, but they won’t be there. This are minor things that I can deal with. I’m just pointing them out. Basically if you’re trying to get control of your body composition and health and you feel bogged down by calorie counters, IF is a great thing to try and this app is a great way to try IF.

Turned my life Around. I’ve been struggling with weight loss and getting in shape for my entire life. I’d lose weight and gain weight all the time. Less than two years ago I was 240 and I got to 300 and I knew I needed to change but I didn’t know where to start. I downloaded Simple because why not after I got an ad for it and it helped so much. I rarely write reviews for apps or anything but I just want to say thank you. I’ve lost 10 Pounds in the last month. For the first 3-4 weeks, I struggled with building my habits so I didn’t lose as much as I may have wanted but I’ll get there. I’m eating a lot more nutritious foods, have cut out food after 9 PM completely through willpower and convincing myself to not do so, have learned more about how to stay full and motivating myself, am now drinking about a gallon of water a day and that’s amazing, and I’m exercising almost every day getting cardio in paired with the Fitbit I have. All of this is because I recorded this stuff down. And ITS FREE. You don’t need the premium which is the best part. Just to log ur weight, what you eat, when you drink, when you exercise (don’t even need to if you pair a Fitbit), makes a huge difference. Pair that with motivation to do intermittent fasting and I’ve lost 8 pounds in the last week and a half. I’m gonna keep going and I’ll come back to this review and update my progress every 10 pounds. I’m at 290 right now

Things I never imagined. I started this on a whim after seeing a social media post of a friend who had decided to try intermittent fasting. Then I saw an ad for simple. I decided to try your app then had serious second thoughts and canceled before I even started. A few days later I decided to use it for the period of time I had already paid for so I wouldn’t feel like I totally wasted that money. Wow! I went all in and with Gods Grace was able to really take advantage of all the information the app provided. The weight started coming off quick. I was impressed. But what I found with those nutritional changes was a new lease on life. I had gone through breast cancer recently and didn’t feel like myself, had really given up on ever feeling normal again. I thought the medication was making me feel the way I did, I was taking ibuprofen by the hands full for body pain. After starting this fasting and mindful eating the inflammation left my body (in3weeks!) and I no longer need to take anything for pain. My pain level is 95% less now at least, just the old age stuff left now (I’m soon to be 55). To date I have lost 42lbs. I started this on 1/6/23 It’s worth every penny, the information provided is priceless. I am so thankful for this app and God for giving me push to continue what I started and prayed for.

Good app with limited food data. I had been using the Lose It app off and on for years- I like the unobtrusiveness of it while tracking macros. Over time it has amassed a giant library of food items so logging is easy and the nutrition data is pretty good. I thought I’d try the Simple app to level up my IF initiatives. Overall, I like the app for IF and general mindfulness of what is important (how you eat vs nitpicking every little thing you eat), but after a week it asked me if I wanted to get more granular logging food and honestly, no. The app has very very few food items I can match and I certainly am not sitting down and logging every tiny bit of nutrition info myself. I can’t log many vegan options, for example. If you want that sort of tracking this is not the app for you, but if you want to celebrate little wins, do IF, and get some fun tips (which you may not need- it doesn’t gather your nutrition know-how level upfront, and just because a person wants to get healthier doesn’t mean they don’t know sugar is bad), and track your water and activity, it’s good for that.

Hasn’t Done Anything. I’ve been struggling with my weight for almost 10 years. I’ve tried just about everything I could think of- restrictive diet, vegetarian, paleo, exercising like crazy, mindful eating, etc. All of it did virtually nothing- maybe lost 5 pounds but gained it back within a month despite me keeping up the exact same regimen. I was the same as I was when I wasn't exercising or eating healthy even when I was exercising like crazy and eating super healthy- there was no difference. In the last year I became physically disabled and can no longer work out safely because of my joints. I gained some weight because of that. I started restricting my calories and eating much healthier, which did absolutely nothing. In desperation, I signed up for simple. It also has done absolutely nothing. I cannot exercise safely without risking dislocations, so my food intake is all I can really control. Simple hasn’t done anything to my weight. At all. I left 3 stars because it probably works better for other people, but for those in tougher situations like mine, it’s useless. Probably gonna cancel my subscription soon because it’s just not worth it.

Self control is rebuilding ⭐️. Someone may benefit from this story, but I know they can be annoying so skip to the end if you’d rather - A little over two years ago I had finally started to lose some weight and went from weighing 150 to 130 in a couple months, gradually dropping pounds. I felt great mentally and physically, and thought I was doing a good thing; only to have my significant other break things off with me because according to them I had developed a destructive eating disorder, and they “didn’t want to watch me destroy myself”. It crushed what I had achieved, and in a naive attempt to win them back I started eating 3x what I was in a day. I quickly not only gain roughly three times more than what I weighed, I also developed an actual eating disorder that wrecked my body and my life. Because of this person I lost all of what I worked hard for and the last two years have been an uphill battle to control my calorie intake. This app is helping me rebuild the self control I lost and gives me the opportunity to deduct whether I’m eating because I’m hungry or because my emotions are out of control. Full five stars from me, no complaints yet. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great app, used to be better. I’m currently using the free version because it’s all I need for my purposes. They recently updated it to “simplify” the method for meals but I’m not sure that it’s accurately capturing my entries any more. When I add something the text turns blue to confirm that the app has that item in its database but it seems to be limited to one-word items. So foods like “hot dog,” “ice cream,” or “peanut butter” don’t get logged properly anymore because only the first word turns blue. This happens with even the suggested items at the bottom of the screen during this process, eg, “+ ice cream”. There’s no way to revert to the old way of logging food. Too bad, I miss being accurate. There’s also no way to log coffee with milk AND sugar (or cream AND iced). It can only be one thing. Also, I used to use this app several years ago and after logging a meal, it would actually suggest when I should have my next meal based on the IF criteria I entered on setup, eg, “try to not eat again for another 4 hours” or something like that. That was the most effective thing that worked for my weightloss through IF. I wish it was an available option.

Using this App for About 2 Weeks. I have found intermittent fasting to be just what I need to get a handle on my weight and eating habits. Since starting the program I have seen a marked change in my cravings for unhealthy foods. I have been so addicted to sugars and bad fats and lots of processed foods. I was always a late night nibbler but that has stopped. So far I have lost 7 pounds and feel so much better. As far as the app goes, there is a lot there to help you and keeping track is pretty simple. But there are also some problems with the app. For example, after tracking my food for a week, I opened the app the next morning to begin my day and all my data, except for my name, etc , was gone. All my tracking, weigh-Ins, and plan information was gone. The app treated me a a new member and I had to start all over. I reported the problem and they finally reached out by email but they said I needed to give them more information. I did that but I have not heard back from them. Today my pictures would not upload and all the tips they provide were blanked out. I signed up for 3 months but if these kinds of things keep happening, I might look elsewhere. It is always a pet peeve with me that these developers never give you a way to contact them directly like a phone number. You tend to only interact with a computer.

I like the app with some minor reservations. I tried the app then bought a year subscription because I liked having the app on my watch, that works great, and I like the journal feature, I could go back and see what I ate and how long my fast was, as well as if I was drinking enough water, being able to add a picture of your meal is a nice addition. It works great in iPhone and although trying to edit my fasting time if I forgot to hit start or stop has to be done through the edit feature in the journal of my phone, I still really like the features of watch app and journal that I haven’t found as useful in other apps. However after 4 months( 120 fasts and 2556 hrs) I tried to download the app to my iPad, big mistake! It doesn’t work on the iPad, and somehow I wiped out everything I had logged for 4 months when I tried to log in with my iPad. I ended up deleting and restoring the app and have now started over. I may have skipped the step of signing in with Facebook or Apple when I signed in initially, which may be my problem. So yes it’s a really nice app, but sign in with email, Facebook or Apple and save your sign in info so you don’t loose it like I did, and not for iPad.

Good tool for serious people. I use that title for a reason. The app has many very good tools, including: meal/food tracker/evaluator/feddback tools, hydration tracker, exercise tracker (intiegrated with some smart phones/watches/etc.), weight tracker (integrated with some smart scales), and helpful feedback/articles on food logged. The other key to this system is tracking and notifying you of suggested fasting times which is a huge help in this diet process. The reason I say "serious people" above, is that the food tracker/feedback mechanism is based simply on foods entered and does not require or give feedback on you entering food QUANTITY/portion sizes. So, self-control on portion sizes by the dieter is required. But the commitment to enter your meals and to lose weight should compensate for that. And the only other reason I gave only 4 stars is that there are a few times that the food feedback mechanism doesn't understand your entry. So, you have to edit your entry one or more times until the system understands it and so it can properly provide feedback. That can be trying. But overall, this is an easy-to-use and helpful tool to help you manage your diet through better food choices and better use of fasting periods. In the first month, I lost 10 lbs and I intend on using this method for a while.

Could be better. So I really like this app and i think it has helped me really think about my decisions but there's some complaints I have. First, I don't like when I log my food the app not only assumes that everything I eat is a meal it also assumes whether or not im eating breakfast, lunch, or dinner based on the time of day. I really don't like that because I think I should be able to eat breakfast at 11am and dinner at 4pm without the app just assuming that it's a "late breakfast" or an "early dinner". I think there should be a feature where I can state whether or not what I ate is a meal or a snack and if I ate breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Second, I think the app should ask us how we feel after eating what we ate and if we liked the food. I know we can just write it down but it's not the same as when it asks you how you feel after working out and it has the little emojis. Third, there should be more milk options. Today I drank chocolate milk and I had to put it as hot chocolate because there wasn't a chocolate milk option. These are all of my complaints and I really hope you could at least take them into consideration.

Been with the app awhile.. In fact I checked in the app and it says 1001 days with Simple. So I’ve been through many iterations of this app. The fast tracking is wonderful. Easy to edit and lots of different fasting protocols to choose from. But they change the food logging all the time. I appreciate they’re trying to improve the app and find what works best for their customers but the current food logging is awful. You just write in what you eat and that’s it. I prefer the previous food logging that at least tracked calories, protein and fiber. I was doing so well with a general overview and I hate using two apps to now track calories. The previous food tracking with the little pictures of food was better than what we have now but it was still lacking. Just let us track simply what we ate and add the calories back in. Maybe if you’re worried about people with eating disorders then give them the current tracking tool by default since the app asks that question anyway. Otherwise we should have tracking tools that actually help with our progress. Not everyone can ignore calories while fasting and lose weight.

Best App Ever Made for Health. I've been using this app for 12 days now and it has just CHANGED my LIFE. I've already lost almost 6 pounds even though I had a rocky start and didn't fast for about 3 days. What I love about Simple is that you track what you eat without obsessiveness or calorie tracking, it's more about how it makes you feel and why you ate it and the basic food groups and health of the food. The amount doesn't even matter. Also, it's super easy to stay on track even if you mess up, as long as you keep logging your meals you feel successful. Logging hunger also helps me stay mindful during my fasting period. I've recommended this app to my entire family and all of my friends. I can't wait to use it for the rest of the summer. Though I do feel a little hungry sometimes, I know it will get better and I am staying super motivated. This app definitely works! I've found that I don't really need the premium, but I might get it later when I have money because I just want to support the developers! I love Simple so much

Simple. I was slightly overweight at 5’5”, 151 pounds and do a strenuous uphill 2 mile walk most every day, but having a hard time losing weight (I really love good food! & my husband is a great cook!). Friends of mine tried intermittent fasting and it really works for them so I wanted to try it. I started using the Simple app about 6 weeks ago and it is working for me- it’s not a “quick fix” - but I have lost about a pound/week, I don’t feel deprived at all, my mind feels clear and my waistline/muffin too seems to be shrinking. I like the reminders on the app to drink lots of water and document what/when you’re eating. There is good nutritional advice offered. I can have my early morning coffee (with just a splash of milk) and I go to work. I eat breakfast at around 10:30-11:00 or lunch at around 1:00 depending on how busy work is. Then dinner at around 6:00pm. We cook most of our meals at home and eat lots of salads with a protein (fish or chicken or steak) but we eat what we want. So my fasting window is usually around 16-17 hours. Other people may be able to eat one meal/day. That would not work for me. Simple has made my journey into intermittent fasting feel “Do-able” and comfortable. 😊

Ironic name, data overload. The name of this app is ironic given the amount of data that it expects you to enter. I spent some time comparing 3 different IF apps: Zero, Fastic, and this one. For me, this one is the weakest of the three. Perhaps the biggest issue for me is that this app expects you to log everything happening in your life, all day every day, and when you don’t log those things it sends annoying notifications. How much food and which food, who did you eat with, how much water did you drink, how much exercise, how much blah blah blah…this app would be perfect for some kind of data scientist. For me, though, one of my struggles with dieting is all the time some apps force you to spend cataloging your life. I don’t have time for that, and it makes me feel like I’m spending my whole life tapping on my phone instead of living. There are some other issues with this app as well. They really, really want you to sign up for the paid memberships, and there’s an annoying ad/icon on the home screen that never goes away. UI issues. Of the 3 apps I compared, this one had the most overwhelming/cluttered/confusing UI. Even little things like the fact that the fasting period is a flat line instead of a circle. So many unintuitive things. Finally, the other two apps did a better job of providing short articles and educational material about dieting, IF, hydration, etc. by comparison, this app just feels like a colorful Excel spreadsheet.

This app has been a game changer for me!. I’m glad I decided to give this app a try since I have been successively on IF since July after realizing I’ve gained too much weight after our wedding and from stress eating due to work. The app is easy to use, tracking of food has made me more conscious of what I eat, and it’s made it easier for me to visualize when I should be eating. There is one thing I ask the developer to add to this app in the future: I know it’s a psychological part for me, but I wish there was a “sick” mode that temporarily puts a hold on your IF tracking. Every time I get sick and can’t commit to IF because I’m prioritizing getting better, I feel like I’ve failed a little when it shouldn’t be an issue. If there was some kind of “pause” or “sick” mode for whenever you physically have to not IF without feeling judged for it, I think it would be great for people like me who get discouraged so easily over something as small as this. Otherwise, I’ve loved this app and I will continue using it until I reach my target weight!

Keeping Track. Simple is pretty simple. It’s a place I go to several times a day. I always log the food I’ve eaten, good or bad. I get lots of tips and tricks on how to make my meal or snack plan better. It points me in a the right direction keeping me on track. I enjoy tracking my foods and keeping focused on why I signed up in the first place. I do weigh myself everyday but only track it in the app when I have a weight loss. I set my first goal to lose 100 lbs. In 7 weeks I’ve lost 20.2 lbs. I’m elated with myself! It just took me about 4 days to not crave sugar anymore. I usually fast for 18 hours which gets me a good 6 hours of fat burning time. Around 1:00 PM is my first meal which is a smoothie made with 1 Cup frozen mixed berries, 1/2 banana, a hand full of fresh spinach, 1 scoop of protein powder, 1 scoop collagen powder, a teaspoon of cinnamon, a tablespoon of chia seeds, then 10-16 oz of Dragon Fruit Juice from Costco. Then I will have a regular dinner only eating until I just start to feel full. My snack after is usually a grapefruit. I make herbal iced tea that I drink throughout the day. Im very determined to keep going and be a success story. I feel great and have a lot of energy for being 65 years old.

What a Scam. I had this app in the past with a premium subscription and never had an issue. That was a little over a year ago at the time I shocked to see people leaving reviews about the app being a scan until now. When I recently re-download the app I restored my premium subscription and the company charged my card. However I do not have access on the app to a premium account. I reached out to customer service and “Augustine” has been absolutely no help, asking for screenshots of proof that I was charged and that I was not receiving the membership (both which were attached to the original email) and stating that I did not have an account under the email in which I sent the customer service request. So with my next response I sent a screenshot from inside the app where it lists the email explaining it is correct and it’s also the same email used on my Apple account (how they charged the card) and Augustine responded with an email explaining to me HOW TO PURCHASE PREMIUM. So obviously customer service and ‘Augustine’ are not reading or trying to fix the issue. At this point I was charged $50 and don’t have access to the product I was charged for. Will be finding a different app. It’s a shame because I truly enjoyed this one in the past.

How do I rate this company a zero?. Started my 3-month subscription in December 2021. This app is not managed through Apple subscriptions so after a while a normal person will forget they establish the first subscription cycle and have no way of keeping up to date on their active subscription with Simple. Simple is quick to capitalize here by auto-renewing your subscription, and to be honest, I don’t recall a moment in the process of purchasing the original 3-month sub where I was prompted to agree to auto-renewal. Nonetheless, they take your money and will continue to do so without your knowing — especially if you’re not frequently monitoring your PayPal activity. So I contacted Simple’s customer service a day after the most recent auto-renewal to state that I didn’t realize I was having money deducted through PayPal over the last two “billing cycles” (as it turned out they were, unbeknownst to me). Their solution was to cite their refund policy and tell me that I was not qualified, even though I haven’t used the app since February nor did I originally—knowingly— agree to auto-billing. Simple is in fact not unwitting to their methods and will very readily take YOUR money, too, if you let them. Please be very wary of this company’s unscrupulous policies and horrifying customer service. They really should be ashamed of themselves for their dishonesty and greediness. But hey, capitalism!

Good App. Overall, I really like this app. At first it was really difficult to see how you could get to the workings of the app without subscribing, but if you click enough “x” buttons you eventually get there. I used the app daily for about a month, until the fasting schedule I programmed for myself became habit. It gave some great insights into when I should or should not be eating or snacking, and it really has helped provide the missing boost my body needed to start dropping weight. What I really liked about the app was that it gave you a good idea of the stages your body was in during your fasting period. It provided the extra incentive to see that you were only an hour away from the fat burning stage and if you could continue the fast just a bit longer you’d do better for your body. Also, it was a great reminder that maybe you weren’t hungry but actually bored or thirsty. There were a number of days that I went for a snack, but paused and checked my app first, it suggested that I wouldn’t need food for another hour, so I grabbed a carbonated water instead. I would always end up getting busy and wouldn’t end up snacking for another couple hours or I would skip the snack until it was time for the next meal. Great app for a gentle reminder without being overly detailed and a calorie counter!

It works!. I've tried every diet and eating plan out there. Nothing lasted. I do a 17 hour fast. I feel so much more energetic. My stomach issues have disappeared. I have rheumatoid arthritis and after a month on this plan I don't have hardly any flare ups, in fact I've been able to stoop my medication for it. The weight loss is slow but steady so i know it will be a permanent solution for me because it's very easy to follow. I could cut out my wine consumption and I'm sure it would go faster but ehhh i like wine so I'm happy with the pace I'm at. The app has been awesome because it reminds me to drink water and log my meal times which keeps me mindful of my goal and keeps me accountable. I eat what i want but am finding that by keeping up on the app and reading all the little daily educational notes the app gives i am slowly changing the foods i choose for the most part. To anyone reading this, i can tell you it's worth a try. It was my last resort and i cant say enough how thankful i am that i gave it a try. Sure you could do it without the app but i think it would be way more difficult trying to remember it all and you wouldn't have the benefit of all the educational stuff.

It’s ok but. I like the idea of the app and how it reminds you to hydrate and when you need more protein or fiber. However, there’s areas that need serious work. Like the app is fully aware that I’ve been very consistent with my fasting and logging everything everyday. But yet, everyday, I get a random “we missed you yesterday” notification. Also today I logged my breakfast and it was about 600 calories. The app recorded it as 5200!! So now it’s yelling at me about keeping my caloric count down 🤦‍♀️ I don’t like that there is no way to just manually enter what food you have eaten if it’s not something that is in their database (which there happens to be A LOT of things not in there!). Nor can you create a recipe to log your own homemade meals which is what we do. We don’t eat much processed foods. For example a casserole I made I had to just enter each ingredient for the meal and rely on the system to count the calories based on that. But those calories are not accurate because you’re limited to using “similar” items that are in the system.

Not worth the $1 trial. The app is completely useless if you have even the most basic understanding of nutrition. The articles and tips on the app address topics like the importance of drinking water and the difference between good and bad fats - not information that is difficult or confusing to learn about. So no added value there. The program description mentions a customized health plan - don’t be misled. A custom health plan will not be created for you - you just get to choose how long you want to fast for. There are no features in this app that you cannot get for free on your phone or through other apps like My Fitness Pal. If you want to true custom nutrition support, you’re better off signing up for a program like Hybrid Nutrition which connects you to a real nutritionist on a weekly basis and a community of other users for support and recipe ideas. Finally, be careful when signing up for the trial. After signing up for the trial, you’ll be immediately presented with multiple screens prompting you to upgrade your account before even opening the app for the first time. If you accidentally hit the wrong button, like I did, you will not be issued a refund even if you notify the company right away. To receive a refund, you must demonstrate that you used their useless app for 15 days and did not see any results. Customer support is useless as well.

Love but would like to see a few changes…. I’ve only been using the SIMPLE app for a couple weeks and so far love it. I’ve lost 6lbs doing the 16hr fast. Yay! My sister is using the app and does a 20hr fast and has lost 12lbs in two weeks. Love the way you can track your eating, your time of fasting and also that it tells you how long you’ve been burning fat. And the articles are filled with great information. But three features I wish SIMPLE would have… 1. A search button to search articles. 2. A connect button to connect with family and friends. There’s no connecting. 3. More security put in place. You shouldn’t be able to login a paid subscription with just an email address. For me, protecting my personal information is important. This lack of security may cause me to end my subscription eventually. On a good note, I already feel better about myself because I feel more in control and feel like I’ve found something that works. I also find the articles very helpful. This is about getting healthy and I think as long as I follow the recommendations, I’ll do fine.

Was more motivating before. Hi makers of Simple! I wanted to share with you that this app was very helpful the first year that I used it. It was the only way for me to lose weight and when I travelled with a group for half a year, I was the only one who could maintain my weight and I felt super proud of that! I renewed my subscription but then 2 months later I got pregnant, so basically I couldn’t fast anymore. I changed it in the settings, that I was pregnant, but that didn’t do anything to the app. No recommendations or anything. I did some very light fasts by myself now and then for health reasons but I basically didn’t use the app for the rest of the year. I did renew the subscription because I was exited to lose the baby weight. But I see the option to say you are pregnant or breastfeeding has disappeared. I know some don’t recommend to do it while nursing but actually a lot of people do light fasting and have a lot of benefits from it without it affecting their milk! But I also see that the interface has changed… I really liked the visual circle of time tracking. It was very encouraging and motivating. Now it’s just a line that doesn’t move… I also liked clicking on pictures of what kind of food you ate and the effect it gave on what articles you get. This disappeared too. Just typing it… but then I don’t feel it does anything for you. I don’t know… I feel it's not as engaging anymore. But I still want to five it 4 stars because the app has helped me so much before!

Taking my time. Not punishing myself.. Because I have done the hard diets lost 100 pounds three times in my life to only find myself gaining it back in the following two years I was tired of dieting. I did a quick trial of intermittent fasting about 6 months ago. I liked it but it didn’t hold my attention. I was only restricting my hours of eating and not looking at the amounts or choices. Now that I am logging my food I have a better understanding of what I am eating . I get helpful and encouraging information and can text chat my concerns and get real answers and suggestions. I am making better choices, and slowly understanding my choices. My energy level is rising and I don’t feel like I am being punished, shamed, bossed, or bullied over my choices. I can’t even understand why it feels so right but I’m actually excited to be working this program. Nothing is forbidden. I don’t need a warden. I feel respect and that I’m going to change my poor choices without feeling bad about them, but instead because I am ready to understand my relationship with food.

Great app, bad update. Overall this has been a fantastic app that I use daily to help me with intermittent fasting. And normally I would highly recommend! But the new way of tracking food defeats the entire purpose of intermittent fasting. Previously, you would pick from a list of general categories for food and also include information like where you ate, why you did, etc. But, on top of being simple information it was all options! Now, they want you to pick from an exhaustive list of very specific food items (think like, what type of sandwich are you eating, plus what types of sides, etc.) that still managed to exclude things. But worst of all, they want you to include the exact measurement of how much of each item you ate! Part of the appeal of intermittent fasting is being able to eat what you want, within reason, in the time period, and this feels like intense calorie counting. Worst of all, you can’t choose to not log anything, so you’re forced to input something, resulting in me often just clicking the first option available to avoid the hassle…which means I have nothing useful to look back on. If this doesn’t change soon or give the option to go to a more ‘simple’ version of Simple, I’ll likely be moving to another fasting app. Please update this!

Very Nice App! Needs a few (small) refinements. This is fastically friendly well designed intermittent fasting tracker app. Most of the apps in the category are simple timers, useful but who cant read a clock? Simple takes intermittent fasting to the next level with food intake, water intake, exercise and activity monitoring. It also comes with a handy AI chatbot feature thats on demand. After purchasing the app I realized I still had other subscriptions and didnt need this one, but I’ll be back if/when I ever need this type of app again. They also have excellent customer service. A few small things needing improvement: when I reboot my iphone it prompts me to login all over again, this is small annoyance but I wish the app would just open. Also some of the AI notifications take up the entire viewport area and that X in the upper right hand corner cant be reached on an iphone12, its the dead zone with the iphone wifi and battery percentage icons. Either way, instead of tapping an X icon make the tap to close easier. Honestly no real complaints about this app. I gave it a 5 star rating because the helpful reminders to log food, water, and to start fasting are important. Almost like living with a fasting coach. Well done.

Do better- customer service. I can not speak to the app quality as after the incident I describe below, I immediately deleted the app. The customer service was abhorrent(awful). I had to contact my credit card company to stop payment on this charge. I am unsatisfied with your customer service. It shouldn’t have taken me having to contact my credit card company to get this resolved. This was bad company practice. When I was looking into a trial program, it popped up and said that I would get 12 weeks of the app access for $36, nothing about a workbook was mentioned. Unfortunately, I took the promo for its word and purchased what I thought was 12 weeks of the app service. I contacted customer service the same day as I realized I wasn’t getting what I paid for. However, the customer service did not listen to my complaint, instead confirmed delivery of a workbook and refused refund. My specific inquiry was ignored and subsequent replies followed different agenda about the workbook. I don’t appreciate this gaslighting behavior saying I purchased one thing when that was not what was authorized. I am unhappy with this correspondence and will not be doing business with your company ever again and will tell others that may be interested in this program of my awful experience. Do better!

This App is amazing!!. I love how interactive this app is! I love the plan it calculates for you personally based off your answers. Omg it’s really cool and now I’m excited to try a different way to lose weight. I’ve been a bigger person all my life. Since a child. So weight has always been a struggle in my life. At age 25 (6 years ago) I lost 120 lbs on my own without a program or any supplements. I changed my diet and counted my calories. I only was eating about 1500 calories or less. I was in the gym like crazy for 8 hours most days. I felt so worn out and exhausted though. I drank lots of water and developed a habit of eating the right foods and only drinking water. It took me about 3 months to lose 80 lbs with this method. Eventually about 7 to 8 months in I was down about 100 lbs and then it got slower. I went through a divorce and child custody battle with my ex wife and it stressed me out so bad to the point where I gave up on losing weight and maintaining the weight loss & routine. Eventually I became to bust with life and rebuilding what I lost to focus on that lifestyle. I gained most of the weight back the last 6 years. Now I’m ready to try again. A different method though. Hopefully Simple can help me lose the weight again but more importantly keep it off this time.

Helpful. It’s helpful for sure it gets you into the habit of not eating at night if you’ve already committed to fasting but I do find you suffer app fatigue very quickly. You’re all pumped up and do it for the first week, and then you drop out for a couple of days. once you get behind you feel stressed that you haven’t filled it in and it’s not easy to get back on top. then you go and try again and then 3 days later you have app fatigue again. It’s the hassle of constantly every single thing you eat or drink having to enter into the screen, and then having the screen constantly flash up all day interrupting you reminding you of something. Without all the interruptions I might do better with it.

Absolutely horrific experience. 0/10 - these people are disgusting money leeches who pray on people. After doing a trial and being offered $1 for 3 months I have it a go, but a month in I realised it wasn’t for me at all. I cancelled my membership and deleted the app.. didn’t hear a thing back until they took a subscription fee of $80 from my account stating that I had never cancelled. Clearly a glitch on their end as I specifically cancelled and they now REFUSE TO ACCEPT any responsibility, will not issue a refund, will not even pass me on to someone in complaints or management. Just revolting. Do not waste your money. Fasting is easy without this app. It’s all mindset.

Disappointed. I decided you would really lose weight just doing all the things you are requested to, but more annoyed that I couldn’t get on then it took days for verification email to turn up. After that it then kept asking for more payment ….money already taken out of account. So requested subscription refund. Using my own home method to track myself … I felt bombarded with too much on the app. I feel it is designed for younger people . After 4 emails I have had no action on refund. I suggest you take free 1 week offer before committing. Do not sign up if you think you are going to get the refund if not satisfied.

Simply fantastic. I love how much it offers even without paying for the subscription. Particularly, the different watch faces that show extra info like where you are in the body status cycle, are incredibly useful and motivating and set this apart from other IF apps I’ve tried. I will likely subscribe for a time to read the supplementary articles, but I’m truly appreciative of how much this app offers for free and I hope it stays that way. My one criticism is I wish there was a way to disable the popups to log food that come up every time I open the app. Sometimes I just open it to check how I’m going and it’s a little annoying having to dismiss them every time.

Great app - simple but effective. Lost 90g per day for 125 days to achieve the target set by the app that actually had a program to lose the weight at 70g per day. Total weight loss 11.4 kg. I know there are other apps, and you could simply set your alarm to say when to eat and when not to, but the app does provide good encouragement and insights as you go. What that does is help form new habits which will hopefully mean I never put that weight back on. Now I’m super fit, really healthy and feeling great. The app would be better if it tracked exercise/energy better from the Health App rather than the basics around steps taken.

Customer service is bad and app misleading. I downloaded the free trial. Somehow it changed to paid. So the charged me 40 usd but I still have no access to the app. I have told them as much through countless emails tried to cancel and to use it since I have paid, but have been unable to. They first told me to cancel with apple but apple does not even recognise my subscription. Then they told me They would refund me if I met certain criteria. The fact that I can’t use my app I feel should entitle me to refund but after many emails no response. First time ever with an app I feel like I have been taken for a ride. They have canceled it since so that I will not be charged for another 3 months but I can’t use the other paid app in the mean time. Anyway lesson learnt

Sneaky invisible subscription process that autorenews. A premium subscription auto renewed after I signed up for a free trial, with no email reminders of the recurring charge or ongoing subscription at any point beyond the initial confirmation email. I apparently signed up through the website, even though you can’t continue to access this program through the website, only the app. This was then invisible in my subscription settings and then also unable to be cancelled without contacting the company. Quite a sneaky way of catching out people like myself who don’t keep the closest eye on their accounts, as the subscriptions are only every 3 months and so don’t appear as a recurrent charge unless searching over a longer period. There is no ongoing email contact advising if payments received, or update emails to remind you of an ongoing subscription and so it is very easy to miss.

So far, so good.. I’m less than a week in and have noticed that just by the fact that you have to log everything you put into your mouth makes you think twice about eating it. Yes, this app takes discipline, I’m yet to see if that discipline pays off. My only gripe is that the food database does not contain enough entries. Living in Australia, none of the common foods consumed here are in the database. I really hope some serious investment into enriching the available foods in the database occurs, especially for overseas users of the app. Our subscription dollar is just as important as the U.S. dollar. Please don’t ignore us.

Simple and not worth it. I downloaded this app as a way of better tracking my fasting days. I assumed there would be a free trial, but it automatically signed me up for 3 months at ~$50. I thought it would offer a lot of functionality given the cost, but it is just an alarm telling you when to start fasting. I thought for the cost it would link to the health app and include exercise, but it only tracks steps. I thought for the cost it would be easy to change schedule and notifications would move with the changes. Nope - it’s painful to navigate and the notifications didn’t always sync. So I agree with other reviewers here - you are duped into signing up and get little for it. Lesson learned!

Super Predatory app with rude support. I’m not thrilled by this app at all. While the data is useful, initially i signed up for a free trial and canceled it early only to be charged for a full year of subscription a few days later! I emailed customer support and was basically told i didn’t cancel the subscription and that i wouldn’t be getting a refund. I’m sure it’s because during the cancelation process they bombard you with 20 different offers to keep you on. Honestly just want my money back as this is not an app that I wish to keep using. I’ve contacted apple support to report the fraudulent activity and i strongly suggest everyone steer clear of this money hungry Simple company. I should’ve know this app wasn’t legit when they asked for paypal instead of apple pay. All i want is a refund!!!

Amazingly Simple..!. This app has been really helpful to gain control over maintaining a balanced and conscious effort in fasting. I have been using this for 6 weeks and already lost 5 kilos. This is such an simple app based program gives very interesting data on our diet based on our inputs and all that does contribute to overall understanding of how the food we eat impacts us in return. Would definitely recommend this application for people finding it difficult to loose weight.

simple an effective. Intermittent fasting made easy with simple, what do you know that’s the name of the app SIMPLE… This app helped me track my fasting and eating windows - am doing Flexible 16.8 IF this works for me as it helps me hit those times my body is done burning carbs and burning fats. The notification to drink water, eat and break fast will be annoying in the start but you’ll lear to appreciate them in time… I wish they’ll create a one time lifetime subscription program (maybe it’ll be just for me by who knows)… Good job to the dev team.

DO NOT SUBSCRIBE OR EVEN CLICK FREE TRIAL. I installed this app on my phone back in jan and only used it for a couple of days. I didn’t like it so I cancelled my free trial. Tell me why I just saw that they have been taking my money since January and I only noticed it last week, July. I’ve been paying ~$80 a month since Jan. I contacted them last week to get a refund for at least the month of July. I checked their refund policy and contacted them. I haven’t heard from them since. The policy stated that if you subcribe through apple you can check it in your subscriptions in itunes, simple life app was not there so I can’t request a refund. IT WILL BE MORE THAN 2 WEEKS NOW AND I HAVEN’T EVEN HEARD ANY UPDATE. THEY WILL NOT APPROVE MY REFUND IF IT IS MORE TAHN 30DAYS. I WANT ALL MY MONEY BACK FROM JANUARY UNTIL JULY. I DO NOT EVEN USE THE APP. DON’T DOWNLOAD NOT WORTH ALL THE STRESS. I STILL DON’T HAVE MY MONEY BACK.

Horrible to use. This app is absolutely horrible to use. The user interface is not one bit intuitive. The one and only redeeming feature is that it has some useful information, however it’s presented in this awful cartoon slideshow. If you live in Australia you won’t be able to log any meals because it has zero database for Aus foods. If you love getting 100 notifications a day from just the one app, this is for you, if you also love poor value for money go for it. At $56 for 3 months (and that was a discount from $70-something) this is hardly good value. My advice is go buy a book on fasting and use a timer on your phone, AVOID THIS APP!

Compliment Sandwich. When I looked into this app & decided to join it was because it said there was no good or bad food just intermittent fasting - I thought awesome, I can definitely work with this. I really love that diet soft drinks count towards your fluid intake. Since paying for the app I’m being told constantly “not a good choice” “could be better” if I eat an ice cream it’s because it’s over 40 Celsius (104F) outside - I KNOW an ice cream isn’t necessarily the healthiest food but it’s what I felt like eating. If I have a big bowl of veggies for tucker I’m marked down because of no protein even if I had a steak for lunch. If I have steak & veggies for tucker I’m told not enough dairy. Maybe it’s because I’m old & grew up with the food health pyramid where it took into account what you ate in a whole day. I think that the app could be amazing with a few tweaks - I had oven baked potato wedges & salsa the other night both home made, the salsa was literally tomatoes, chilli’s, onions & capsicum - my food rating told me “too much sodium” & not enough fibre - I mean seriously, I never put salt on my food & I the only food I make that I can think of that I add salt to is whole grain bread & that’s only a pinch. I love the count down that shows up on my Lock Screen.

Do not bother with this app.. Most pathetic, ridiculous excuse of an app I’ve ever encountered. I made an account in an attempt to loose some weight, but when I went to verify my email so that I could log in, it wouldn’t let me verify it no matter what I did. I paid $1USD to have a 7day free trial with the app but when I told them my account wasn’t working (through multiple emails and messaging ALL of their social media accounts) they never got back to me even after admitting through an automated email saying that they received my request. After the week free trial was up and after 5+ emails asking for help, or to have my account cancelled, they charged me $37USD or $55AUD to my account because my account was still active. Again, this is after 5+ emails, and messaging their social media accounts for help. I ended up having my account cancelled, i managed to get into it and I cancelled it immediately. After I cancelled the account, THEN they emailed me saying “it’s all good you’re accounts been cancelled”. I still haven’t been refunded the money that was taken from my account even though they know I wasn’t able to log into the account let alone use ANY of the features that were advertised. I will still work on getting my $55 refunded, but I doubt they’ll come through.

DO NOT USE! SCAM - buyer beware *unethical company practices*. Read review before giving these scammers ANY access to your payment details. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR FREE TRIAL - they will debit you HUNDREDS of dollars, even if you cancel. I Cancelled my subscription before it moved to paid - I even made several attempted comms to customer care and via their Insta acc to confirm cancellation - no reply. I have just discovered they have debited me for a total of $300 via three payments between Dec 2022 and 2nd June. I did not authorise this at all. Simple will NOT help you but they WILL rip you off, fail to cancel subs AND argue with you over a refund. I am currently disputing this via paypal and it has been a nightmare. If you would like a similar experience - sign up! DO NOT USE THIS APP, they will STEAL from you and are not an ethical company. They are an unethical company.

this app is disgusting please do not download it. this app is going to ruin the lives of impressionable people into waiting a stupid amount of time to eat, ignoring your body telling you that its hungry and needs food. people who are battling with eating disorders will turn to apps like this and will only get so much worse mentally and physically. the fact that this is for people ages 12+ as well? HOW COULD YOU ENCOURAGE CHILDREN TO NOT EAT AND “control your hunger”. the creators of this app knows nothing about health and need to educate themselves of how to actually get healthy because weight loss does not = health. please do not download this app and if you have questions on how to eat healthy go to a nutritionist and take care of yourself because downloading this app won’t do it. the fact that we are telling people not to eat us disgusting and we need to drop the thought that no food is good for you because it is not. do better.

Useful app, 1 request/suggestion. Easy to engage with this app, simple and clearly laid out and I have found it very useful over the last 3 months. One thing I’m wishing it had is the choice of electrolyte drink tracking or perhaps the option to make a not in the drink tracker or journal itself like the food one ( it has so many options, this one more would be useful to me ) I have had to make a note in the food tracker to clarify that my ‘water’ is actually electrolyte (NOT energy) drink as I am unwell today and want to use this to keep track specifically of my electrolyte drink intake.

Expensive for what offers and creepy auto-renewal. It is basically just a reminder with some semi-random articles scattered around. That would be good for a free app, but they somehow scam you to auto renewal and end up paying monthly more than you do for a decent streaming service. The smug customer service person is quick to point they have sent you an auto renewal reminder. They tone is pretty much telling that I was stupid not to check my emails and deserve to pay for a subscription I did not want to. To top that they do not even send a receipt for the auto renewal and the subscription in the app does not have audit history so I can’t even see for how long I have supposedly subscribed for. Update: developer responded and they are looking into improving the points I raised. I’m pleased that the team looks into the feedback and plans improvements accordingly. From 2 to 4 stars 😁

Don’t pay for subscription. Total waste of money to pay for a subscription, you get very little else for your money that the free version doesn’t already give. It’s also confusing for Australians for the unit or measurement, initially thought it was kilojoules, but is listed as kcal, is that calories? Also does not have a catalogue of Australian foods, I search common grocery items and it doesn’t have them, you should be able to scan barcodes and the food comes up to be logged. This should be included in a paid subscription. Very disappointing app. Especially as I thought I’d be getting more for a paid subscription.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!!. This app shared my bank information which resulted in my card having to be blocked, due to ‘suspicious activity’ where someone tried to spend $80 on my card. My bank traced it back to this app due to their $1 ‘discount’ 7 day trial. This is simply ridiculous. I never normally write reviews but I find the lack of security on this app astounding for this to happen. If you don’t want your money stolen I highly recommend not downloading. Unacceptable.

Carolyn Little. I really like the app as it helps me to understand fasting and what my body is going through , it also keeps me on track with water , eating times, fasting times and lots of healthy tips. When I first joined there was a section that was a food tracking section and you could see your calorie intake for the day including your protein and fibre now this has been removed , I found it helpful,

To measure is to change. I’ve always ate well and kept active but as I get older (62) I’ve noticed the weight creeping up. I saw an ad for Simple and the idea of fasting right as I got on the scales and saw 102 kg!!! I decided to act. The process is simple (pun intended). Have a regular healthy meal and then don’t eat after 7pm ( nothing; not that extra glass of wine or that small little snack). Then get up in the morning and slowly drink a litre of water and have a coffee. Walk to work (30 min) buy some raw nuts and carrot and apple and eat healthy to break the fast (11am) You really stop and enjoy every mouthful. Have a Greek yoghurt and apple for afternoon tea and then home for dinner. Go for walk with wife. Easy. Not missing anything except lost 5 Kg in 4 weeks and clothes fit better. Aiming for 80Kg. Logging everything is easy and keeps you honest. Simple…..

Feedback regarding the Simple Program. I very very happy with the Simple Program I reached my goal weight in 5 months and continue to maintain this weight. Slow progress but very proud of my achievements. I have no trouble fasting for 16 to 18 hours each day. I am eating much healthier and enjoying my new foods. I’ve become more mindful with what I eat and if my goes up a tiny bit I am aware of the fact I may have eaten the wrong food. I’m eating More salads, vegetables, fish in my menu plan. I have used some of the recipes you supply. Love the baked salmon and turkey patties. But still enjoy some desserts that wouldn’t be recommended. I love red meats but have learned that it definitely slows my metabolism, so not eating as much. Don’t eat as much bread as I used to, now having multigrain with seeds etc. when I do. The Simple app is easy to use and I keep it up so I stick to my new menu plan. I also enjoy the daily advice and additional information that you can read at your leisure. Finally I do recommend the Simple Intermittent Fasting program to friends. 100% happy with the new menu. Thank you Julie Green

The struggle with fasting. On a few occasions in the past, I’ve had the discipline to go up to 6 days on a water fast and enjoyed the benefits of doing so. But going alone in a world of consumption is a challenge that I haven’t been able to meet for a couple of years. And then along comes this app, and although responses to my questions are clearly AI I know longer, feel alone and can resist the constant temptation to snack and get steady encouragement that reaches beyond any meditative attempts to thwart my appetite. It’s also great to keep track of my water and coffee intake. I’m extremely glad I signed up.

Great app and program. Loving the Simple program and the app is encouraging healthier eating without nagging which is great. Would be good if users could input and save some standard meals to choose from to make logging your food intake easier. After all, we all tend to have favourite meals that we fall back on when looking for a quick easy lunch or dinner. It does get a bit tiresome having to log all the ingredients for the same meal time and time again. Other than that, total thumbs up from me.

Back to excellence. Updated five star review: Adding food ingredients is back to simplicity, the app is near perfect again Original two star review: The app used to be about focusing on fasting, not dieting. To log a meal, you’d name the meal (free text ), tap various ingredients and move on. The app would provide feedback on what you ate and alert you on when your fast should start and finish. Now it forces you to select a meal ingredient by ingredient and weigh each ingredient as well. If I wanted obsessive calorie tracking, I’d have bought a calorie tracker. Terrible design choice by the devs

Good options too basic. I quite like the app itself but logging food is a joke. I am from Australia and it doesn’t (from what I can see) have ANY options of food we have here, not a way to add in (like in MyFitnessPal). Because I am unable to log 99% of the actual foods that I eat, keeping track of macros etc is impossible. So I use MyFitnessPal as well to log calories then this one for fasting etc. I cancelled the subscription before I got charged (after week trial) because to me, I won’t pay that much for an app that I can’t keep track of absolutely everything in. Pointless when you have to use multiple apps.

Something that works. I’ve tried many different diets to manage my weight gain since ceasing competitive sport with mixed success but ultimately, always regain the weight. This app has really changed my approach to food. What I eat and when. It provides bite sized education that really gets me thinking about what I put in my body while not telling me what I can and can’t eat. I don’t have to measure my food and count calories which just lets me take a much more relaxed approach to monitoring what I’m eating. If I want to indulge, I can…. but the app is educating me to to really not want to. It’s teaching me what foods fight cravings and what foods are good choices. There is still effort on my part to stick to the fasting window, eat well, sleep well and exercise. For the first time in a long time, I feel like I am changing my eating habits for the better, losing the sugar cravings and gaining more control over my weight without struggling with hunger. It’s not a diet…. it’s becoming my new normal to healthy eating.

Great reviewers, meh app. I was about to download and subscribe but thanx all collective reviews, I didn’t. I gave 2 ⭐️ cuz app does a good job selling itself, however if you try to take people’s money w/out doing what you promise is not ethical and the common response is you subscribed on the web, it doesn’t matter where people subscribed it is still same money grubbing company. You should refund those people’s money and change your t&c to be more transparent. 4.6 star rating is not good enough when this may people are complaining about the same problem. I will continue to search a decent app which will assist with my journey to get healthier.

Cancellation issues - read to ensure you don’t get charged. Not impressed. Trialled the app and cancelled/deleted. Did not show in Apple subscriptions and was charged almost $80 AUD for an app I don’t want. Had to re-download the app and cancel through it to ensure I wasn’t charged again next year. Requesting refund but from reviews doubt I will be able and apple not involved so not help there. Lodged request through PayPal but not confident there either. Their instructions are: Uninstalling the app doesn’t automatically cancel your subscription — you’ll still get charged. Please check your subscription status and cancel it in the app if you don't wish to get charged again (see the instructions above).

Super disappointing. This app is exactly like the name implies, except for all the wrong reasons. I think they hoped to make fasting “simple” but instead they recently upgraded, taking away all the extra functions other than a journal, water tracker and clock for fasting hours. So Simple is as Simple does. Don’t pay for this app. Previously you could log your food and it would keep a track of the protein/fat/fine content and then send insights based on your food choices also. It wasn’t about calorie counting per se, but teaching about the breakdown of foods and seen in a graph, you could make adjustments to good choices. It’s way too simple now. And not in a good way.

Use it!!!. Hey, I’m only on my first week or 2 and I have already noticed a major change in my self confidence and happiness which is awesome, you can customise how hard you’d like to fast so it’s not harming you in anyway. Everything that is MANDATORY doesn’t cost a thing, it’s only if you want the full experience of reminders, etc you’d buy the add ons if offers. Before or after you fast there’s a notification telling you that your fasting starts in half an hour so you are prepared and get your water intake. I don’t usually write reviews but fr, DOWNLOAD THIS there’s literally no way you can go downhill if you follow the time schedules.

The app is great. It really helped me when I tried intermitted fasting and I love how it logs everything like your activity, water and food consumption. Another thing I like about the app is that if you want to restart it’s super easy to and you don’t have to keep making new accounts. One thing I would like to change is that I wished it had a calorie counter. I know counti calories is bad but people who are doing a calorie deficit need help keeping tract on how much they are eating. Over all this is a great app and I recommend downloading if your doing intermitted fasting or just trying to loose weight

I got charged for something that I don’t use and I don’t need.. I doweled trial version and paid $45 for 3 month only, however, apparently it activated auto charge and charge my account for $100, only two hours after I got charged and git notification for the charge, I went trough a complex process to cancel to auto charge and also sent an email to the support to get the refund, Simple is refusing to refund me and do not reply the emails anymore. This is a scam, please do not get trapped, I am following up with Paypal to get my refund though. This is stealing from people, not helping them. The app also is not that great, just bunch of annoying notification like move or drink water which my apple watch is doing it anyway, so the conclusion is you don’t need this app at all, do nit waste your money. Not happy with app and support and the fact this company is heavily relying on taking money from them without the users knowing the ato charge is activated by default. The auto charge must be off by default when we sign up for trail version, this must become a law.

One of the worst customer support. The app is easy to use…until you find bugs. Their customer support is one of the worst I’ve dealt with. The guy Ivan, supposedly the customer support manager, doesn’t check out the problems properly and kept telling me there’s no problem. After finally getting him to recognise the errors, things were fixed but now new issue (the chart on the widget) has occurred and I have yet to receive a reply after 2 business days. If you keep track of when you ate last and the hours in between meals, you can lose the weight too. You don’t really need this app. I’ve cancelled my auto renewal. I would have kept the subscription going if the support was any good but I’m not going to reward bad customer service. After submitting this review for weeks I finally received a response from the developer here asking me to email them. I DID that weeks ago and had one guy finally getting back to me saying he’ll look into the issue and then haven’t heard from him since! Yes I’ve revised my review from 2 stars to 1. Can’t believe how useless, unhelpful and incompetent these people are!

Don’t bother downloading. Wow, what an epic waste of money. You can’t use it (or even trial it) without an expensive subscription. The app doesn’t tell you want to eat, how to fast or offer any assistance. I filled out a whole survey just to be charged for absolutely nothing personalised. It’s confusing to put meals in (so little option, what’s the point?) and I the functionality is confusing too. I already cancelled my subscription & am taking the $50 hit as a mistake. Do yourself a favour & bypass this one. Edit after developer response: clearly based on my review above I was not using the free version, I paid a $50 subscription & stand by my comments.

The app gets more frustrating as you go. When I started fasting I thought simple was great. Packed with information, helpful notifications, a nice interface. About a week in and I’ve just got really sick of it, and for an app designed to go with you on a journey I think that’s a problem. For me it’s been death by a thousand cuts that the developers should consider addressing. Including: - Logging a meal or a drink is slow and annoying. There’s loads of options you need to fill out that feel pointless, and you spend forever scrolling to select ingredients that are in a random order and miss common things (like pasta-level common). - Liquid tracking suffers the same issues, I gave up tracking liquid pretty quick. - The wellness companion in-app chatbot pretends to be more personalised than it is, and you spend a lot of your life getting useless information with a chatbot that is slow and tokenistically interactive (why they chose a chatbot and not an article is beyond me). - there are health cards modeled on Insta stories that are okay, but get kinda basic or arbitrary - the daily plan that you pay for is pointless

Fix the issues. This was a great app to help keep track of when you eat and fluid intake and when your eating windows are. Unfortunately for over a week now I’ve had so many issues with it telling me to eat hours before my eating window is due to start and telling me to start fasting within an hour of of my eating window starting. It also turns off my fasting tracker so I have to go and re set it to fasting hours.. fix these issues that I know so many others are having also and it will be a great app again.

Mr K. This program really works! Great features and reminders make it super simple to stay motivated and determined to achieve your goals. Keep in mind that this program will only work if you keep at it and trust the process, you have to have a strong mind in the beginning and don’t give up, I promise it gets easier as you progress through and the results will amaze you! Every thing good takes time so don’t give up. I personally think SIMPLE is awesome and it has helped me more than I expected.

Great App!. i have used simple for a few weeks now, i did delete it once however as i thought that it’d just be better to fast at my own pace, but i realised that simple is a great way to track your eating, your weight, how healthy you are, steps and water you’ve drank. it is such a great app, and not just that alone! it tells you what points of your fasting you’re up to, ketosis etc: i recommend this app to anyone who is wanting to lose weight! aloe of my friends tell me that not eating is bad for you, but this app allows you to eat, not like an eating disorder or anything like that.

No customer service and subscription problem. I bought subscription 5days ago and they charged it twice. So $130 gone for nothing. Because my account didn’t work so I can’t use my subscription. I contacted simple app, at first she replied my email but when I asked her to process my refund, it’s been 5days nobody replied without any automatic reply. It is ridiculous cos they don’t care about customers and I paid but can’t access subscription. It never happened to me when i used other applications. I am really upset that i will lose all my money for nothing because of their bad application and customer service. Don’t wanna give them even 1star.

Good for what it is, not recommended in Australia. I've used simple for around a month. It got me through my first fast and several more, and it's great at this task. I have two issues though. 1. The food database seems to be entirely American. There is no capacity to add foods. I persisted and attempted to substitute as best I could but it became such a big drag that I stopped using the app. 2. Prices are exlcusivey in USD. Not an issue if this is stated but I ended up paying more than I expected for an app that I found to be more hassle than it was worth. I am stoked that Simple helped me, but it has been clunky and expensive for me. On this basis I wouldn't recommend it. Edited following response from devs. I was thanked for my feedback. A refund would be nice given the unclear pricing and lack of value.

JUST WOW, DOWNLOAD IT.. NOW!!. So I was just casually scrolling through the App Store and looking for any new apps that may tickle my fancy, I came across this app all about fasting, which I’ve been really interested in however haven’t fully tried it. So I decided to download this app to give it a try and see if it was worth my time. I will admit it was a teensy bit confusing to navigate it first but it took me all of 5 to 10 minutes to get the hang of it. And wow! It literally has everything you could ask for, it asked you or personal question so I can really tailor it to yourself, and you can even use it for free! The virtual assistant gave some really good insights about eating when you actually hungry or emotional eating which I do a lot. It doesn’t persistently try to contact me and annoy me with stupid notifications, it reminds me to drink water which I definitely need!, And it’s really intricate and its details when asking you what you ate and why you ate it and things like that. However you don’t have to answer those all the time if you don’t want to. It lets you change what ours you want to fast so it’s not just a set time that they give you, and it even has more insights than that. I highly recommend this app, I’ve never reviewed up before or felt the need to but I felt the need to share this as I love it so much.

Unauthorised charge has killed it.. Yea do I was loving this app, found the unpaid version to be sufficient for my needs so cancelled my subscription before my weeks $1 trial was up. Have been using the app no dramas (not premium) for 3 months, then out of nowhere copped a charge of $109aud! I have contacted support and explained that this charge was unauthorised, they said that I had not cancelled my subscription and so had been charged twice. I told them this can’t have been right, I had tried to cancel and was under the assumption it had been successful seeing as I had not had access to premium since, but they are still refusing to refund this ridiculous charge.

Automatically charges for subscription. I installed this app and tried using it for about two days only and it wasn’t worth of the time so i never used it again and cancelled the subscription . In the starting i used to get notifications from the all to drink water and things like that but after that i never got a single notification and i didn’t even remember that i had this app on my phone until today when $108 was deducted from my account for its subscription!!!! I have no history of buying this subscription on my appstore or anywhere not even in the expired subscription section! This is fraud - even theft stealing money even after canceling the subscription. Just keep the amount you think is fair for the time i had been in this subscription and give me the rest of money back asap!

Fabulous app. Literally the easiest diet I have ever been on. Have been on it for a little over a month now and lost nearly 10% of my body weight to be in a healthy BMI range. The app interface is really simple and elegant! The tracking capabilities are exactly what you need so the diet isn’t too time consuming. I’ve always failed other diets and tracking apps that required me to weigh my food. This app is perfect and I’ve learnt a lot from the small little modules on food, mindful eating, intermittent fasting and exercise. I hope I’m able to stick to this long term but the signs are great!

Just another app sneaking money from you account.. Signed up to this on a free trial. I often check my “manage subscription” tab in setting to make sure I don’t have subscriptions up coming I don’t want. This was never there and only now after I have noticed they have been charging me $79 every three months do I find out you have to manage subscriptions through the website….. That was never relayed to me when I signed up. There are plenty of other people here saying the same thing for a long time now and the developer just says “so sorry to hear of your experience this will help us improve our communication”……. Yet absolutely nothing has changed so they are clearly hiding behind it. I have never received a notification or receipt for any of these transactions. On the ACCC website it says companies “must” provide a receipt for anything that costs over $75. They have charged me $79 every three months without even a peep so I will be following this up with the ACCC. Get ready for it below people. Developers response. “Thank You for your review, we strive to be transparent with our pricing” “This will help us improve our communication”…. Keep clear of this app they have had plenty of time to change this but just choose not to.

Great app to help you start in fasting. 4 weeks in to my new fast, which was kicked off with help of the app. Instead of trying to count my calories, I measured how often and more importantly how I felt and why I ate. I found this was much better to help me understand why I was eating which also helped me to stop eating when I was bored. Now that I’m also on Keto, I’m using another app to ensure I’m staying in Ketosis, however with the diary in here, I would love the developers to add the ability to manually add Ketone Level measurements, as it tracks my activity and eating so it would help to track this too (especially since there are very few apps doing it)

Beware of multiple subscription charges. Before the end of the free trial, the app will prompt you to renew through their website. It will not tell you to cancel your subscription through the App Store. I paid twice and haven’t had any indication of a refund from their customer service. Do yourself a favor and skip the app. Just set an alarm to fast.

Charging you before your free trial is up! Twice!. Buyer beware sans it’s so sad I love the app but they charged me twice during the free trial point! $58.75!

Wow what a scam. Buyer beware for sure. All the good reviews must be bots because all the comments and complaints listed in reviews lately happened to me. Paid $1 for a 7 day trial and got charged $59.40 at the same time without my consent. Sent them an email less than 30 min asking to cancel my unauthorized subscription and demanded a full refund and got an auto email saying that I agreed to the subscription through the app. Sent them back email saying again I wish to cancel and that my subscription to their “premium package” was not authorized and that they should give me my $ back. No response. What a scam!

Scam. They tell you it’s customized for you but it’s generic, complete money grab. It’s basically just giving you 8hour fasting windows and you don’t need to pay for an app to tell you this. They give you a hard time for cancelling. Do not buy!!!!!

Extremely duplicitous marketing. When I signed up for a trial, suddenly I could get 20% off (if I had subscribed outright, I would have paid full price). Then when I canceled the trial, they offer me a year for $1. They will not issue a refund for the trial even though I was in their ecosystem for 5 minutes. Caveat emptor. I will be watching like a hawk to make sure they do not charge me after the “not-free free trial” ends.

This app is fraud!. Don’t install and use this app. They just take your money without your consent during the trial period.

12+ rating but you need to be 18+ to use it. i put in my birthdate assuming since the app needs you to be 12+ since that is its rating yet it told me on the app i need to be 18+ to use the app.

Really effective. After having tried countless platforms and apps I seem to finally find myself making genuine efforts to follow a Intermittent Fasting regime. The app sticks to its brand name - every aspect of app that one needs is simplified whether manual vs auto set up, or quick snippets daily with pictorial nutritional facts or related sciences that one needs to self educate with. I am using this app to focus on my process of behaviour change versus a fancy unrealistic short term expectation. I recommend - but only if you are looking to accomplish Long term sustainable diet pattern changes and are willing to be patient with yourself , allow mistakes but use app features to understand and correct your mistakes. Love the AI chat mode - really effective and efficient.

Extra money charges without consent very frustrating. I paid for a week trial, the. I paid for a 3 months plan, next thing I know on day forteen they take a third uge amount on my card without consent. They wont repay since I used their app during 14 days. Well Pay with paypal dont give them your card number. I canceled the whole thing. Lost 170$ Be Careful!

Not sure about this. My wife and I both joined simple together. At exactly the same time. When we download the apps, she got a different app than I did. Her app functions much more intuitively than mine does. I contacted support. They told me that one of us got a test app. I don’t know why they’re putting out test apps that don’t work as well as their app. It’s very frustrating. My app asks for way too much detail on every meal. It takes me 15 to 20 minutes to log in meals individually item by item. I am interested in the fasting but I’m not interested in doing a calorie count. Their support was a one time attempt. Then they sent me a letter saying it’s been resolved. They said it was resolved after I sent them an email with a couple of questions still regarding the app. If the app is supposed to help this one is not. I can do intermittent fasting all on my own with just a watch. I was hoping the app would be of assistance. There

READ THE FINE PRINT CAREFULLY!!!!. I have to first start with this statement. I am generally fairly computer savvy and cancel and restart subscriptions all the time. I purchased a one week test trial assuming I was not signing up for anything more than the $1 charge I made to have a look at this app. My assumption was that this payment had no strings attached. One week later they charge me another 48 for an app I believe I did not agree to. READ THE FINE PRINT CAREFULLY . I only opened this app 1 time. It is basically a glorified alarm clock and completely not needed to help with fasting. Set a timer on your iPhone if you can’t keep track of time. Quite disgusted in being scammed into paying for this. Only one other time in my life did I make a mistake with a subscription which was on Duolingo. They refunded me immediately! Hence I am still a customer of theirs!

Great program. Easy to follow, excellent suggestions and helpful guide!

Poor customer service/app design. I consented to trying the app for $1. I did not like the app as I found it was busy and not helpful for tracking food (I have another app I find is more superior). I decided I didn’t want to keep the app but could not figure out how to cancel it as typically it will show up in my subscriptions but it did not. So I contacted the company to try to figure out how to cancel and in that time I was charged $79.20 for 3 months!! I was not interested in this and voiced that I did not want this. The company person Andrew contacted me back and told me how to cancel my subscription but completely ignored my request for a refund. I have sent 3 msgs in total that are very polite and still ignored. All in all I feel the app is designed poorly and extremely overpriced. Ticket number 319129

Waste of money!. If you are someone with even basic knowledge of intermittent fasting, don’t bother wasting your money on this app. For example I am pregnant and even though I entered this information it is telling me to fast for 18 hours and eat for 6! What a joke! Seriously, if someone is naive enough to just go by this info without really doing their research, I smell a lawsuit coming their way. Frankly I have no idea what the purpose of this app is. It basically just tracks your info at the most basic, primitive level. I purchased the premium version, and let me tell you, I feel ripped off!

Awful service. I have reached out three times to cancel my subscription and still no reply from them. I don’t recommend as there is absolutely no after-sale service.

Don’t waste your money. This app is simple all right. Common sense knowledge and a timer that’s it. Horrible customer service and a totally unreasonable refund policy.

The auto renew even after cancellation. Canceled almost immediately after starting my free trail and was still charged. The customer service is a bot.

Stop taking my $$$$. I’ve contacted you several times, I accidentally subscribed.. you’ve taken my $ from my visa. STOP and please return my funds!!!!

Complete scam. This company is a complete scam, I signed up and they charged my credit card but provided no way for me to login or use the alleged product. Reached out multiple times with the only response being they couldn’t find an account with my contact. Yet they continued to charge my credit card for multiple months until I finally called my credit card and reported this as fraud.

Scam!!!. What a scam this app is. I downloaded this app with the intention to use their free trail! Like any other app they take your card and after the trail period is done they start charging you. Not this app. They took my money right away! Immediately requested a refund just to be told I need to use the app for 15 days before I could get a refund based on their “refund policy”! I let 15 days go by just for them to say I need to actively use the app!!! So they track that you’ve used it everyday. This got me so angry and I then went on to use the app for 15 days because I would not give up and just let these guys take my money like they’re trying to do. All I wanted was my refund from day 1 because I was unaware they would take my money immediately. But they had to do everything they could to keep my money. I told them repeatedly I did not like their app and just wanted my money back. But they forced me to use it anyways! Which makes things so much worse. I’m the end I used their app for an additional 15 days and when it came down the end I emailed them about it. No response, the next day another email. No response. I’ve emailed them 5 days in a row and no response! But they were emailing me back hours after when I was emailing them the last 3 weeks! But now that I’m able to get a refund you don’t respond?? What a Scam. All I wanted was my money back. What a terrible app, system, and customer service this company is running. Just to get your money.

Where did Saturday go?. Love this app. Has been very helpful as I learn about and practice intermittent fasting. All has been well up until 2 days ago. Saturday, March 9 disappeared from the calendar! Please put it back!

It’s a scam. Never subscribe. Total scam. I canceled my “free month” on the same day I subscribed and was charged 60$. Tried to call and contact them by chat. No answer.

I’m so glad this ad popped up on my news feed. I eat pretty healthy except my snacking at night isn’t the best choices. So when I started using this app it was more of an experiment to see if in fact giving up snacking later more so than earlier would really make a difference. Since quarantine gained about 10lbs and since IF, on week 4, I have lost 5lbs eating the exact same stuff. I’m in for life!! I can’t wait to see what 6 months to a year will bring

Beware of low subscriptions with automatic renewals. The app has a nice timer function and is great at recording water intake but reporting your food consumption is pointless, the AI is not so smart. MOST IMPORTANTLY BE VERY CAREFUL OF THE PENNIES A DAY OFFERS, IT WILL AUTO RENEW AT AN OUTRAGEOUS PRICE AND ALL THE SUPPORT WILL DO IS REMIND YOU THAT THE TERMS WERE STATED WHEN YOU SUBSCRIBE. As someone who just got charged full price I can only give this advice. AFTER SUBSCRIBING TO ONE OF THE SPECIALS IMMEDIATELY CANCEL THE AUTO RENEWAL.

Tried to cancel but was charged. I downloaded the app Dec 31, 2022 believing it was free. Decided right away I didn’t like it and cancelled the same day. Cancelled as per instructions on app - through my Apple App Store as well as through the Simple app. Found I was charged that day for $27.44. I tried to contact them through email that was provided in the app Jan 9, 2023 and today but no one responded. Definitely do not download or purchase this app!!!!!

The app is great. Food choice needs to be wider or have also custom input or where I can write a food item that is off the list. Otherwise the app is fantastic and anyway deserves a solid 5-⭐️

Simple scam. Je me suis fait avoir par cet application . Vraiment juste du vent .

It’s a scam. Will charge you 110 CA$ without notifying you.. This app is literally a scam. They will charge you without notifying you. And when you ask them that you are not satisfied with their app, they will not reply back easily. Then after weeks they will reply and will say, you are not qualified for the refund. So basically they are forcefully charging you for just logging in your food and water. And what else intermittent fasting that we can do notes as well. I would say, don’t waste your money on this app.

Absolutely useless.. Lots of promises. Zero delivery. Worst value imaginable. And as an added benefit, I couldn’t log in to cancel the trial and when I asked for a refund there was zero response. Stay away.

My experience with Simple. I really love simple. I find it pretty easy to follow. Since I started my son was killed in NY USA. My family with his bonus dad my wonder husband and his dad, and five brothers and sisters, one that has been in hospital since November 9/22, she has Gastroparisis as a result of surgeries gone wrong. I have one daughter who found out she had a hormonal cancer, in September she got a clean bill of health in January! So I think I may have jumped in too soon! I have had the flu for two weeks so it has been very hard for me to do anything let alone exercise or cook. So I’m working just to get healthy enough to be able to engage fully and exercise and fasting without having to get up and have tea and honey for my cough! If you are looking at Simple it is an amazing supportive group that gives you everything you need to succeed!

SIMPLE. This app rocks!!! It most definitely helps you keep on track and if you’re not sure exactly what you’re eating or how to make it more nutritious. The app tells you, I love it, it gives recipes, it’s the best. Scores all your meals and it is very fair and encouraging. I lost my goal weight in five weeks and it was set for six, I’m still at it. I love this fasting it’s perfect for me. I highly recommend SIMPLE It works wonders for me!! I have never fasted before this was my 1st attempt and SIMPLE made it easy. Ya gotta try it out ✅

I got charged for the 7-day free trial. So I got an ad on Instagram about this app and it called my attention. It redirected me to their website, asked couple of questions and offered a 7-day trial, then they charged me 13 USD , didn’t send me an email confirmation and sent me to the app, when I got to the app the asked me the same questions and they said I didn’t have to pay for anything now, until the 7 day free trial passes. As I wasn’t thinking getting it until I see if it was effective, I was not looking to pay for anything. I sent an email to their email address for customer service and they said that they’d cancel my subscription but the money they took was non-refundable, which is dumb because if in the app they are mentioning that you didn’t have to pay until the 7 days passed, I don’t understand why they charged me on the website. I’m not looking forward to renew this as the app itself is pretty basic and I was hoping something different.

Great app. I love the app , it helps me remember my fasting time, has great nutrition tips and keeps track of my water intake, food, weight and fasting times. My only real issue is I didn’t like that I was auto charged 49.99 to continue the app. I find it a bit pricey.

The worst one. I bought it with pay pal and unfortunately this application charged me despite deleted application on my phone and despite 3 times email to them through PayPal application, I received no response!

Not even worth the time. This app does nothing except keeps track of your fasting. It offers nothing of value but took my money anyway and won’t refund it even though I don’t use it. Such a waste and a thief!! The Fastic app is so much better!

Love this app. This app had been so great with helping me achieve my fasting as well as my nutritional goals. The chat option with avo is very helpful - sometimes a tad repetitive but that’s to be expected as he is just AI. He does however, have really helpful information more often than not. The price is definitely worth it for what you get - at least for me it is.

Beware! Once they have your credit card!. I am unable to cancel my account and now keep getting charged 6 months after cancelling my subscription. I just got charged for yet another year yet they had not been providing me with the app since I cancelled. They send very apologetic notes but no apology and no compensation. I am now having to deal with the credit card company to intervene. Too bad. I enjoyed the app until I was unable to terminate.

After sales Customer service. I’ve been trying to speak to a real person for a few days now and that is impossible. All I keep getting is some AI auto responses. This is unreal.

Simple. I have come back to Simple after plateauing on weight loss. I went from 217 to 190 pounds over a 5 month period. Intermittent fasting works. Simple also provides education, encouragement and accountability. My only beef would be that the old app used to give calories info on meals taken. The new version does not. Stuck around 198 I have rejoined and am back to chasing goal of 185.

It’s so Simple. I’ve been using this app for a little under a week. It is the second fasting app that I’ve tried. I went with Simple over the other app (and other weight loss/calorie counting apps) for a couple of reasons: 1) price: it is less expensive than both of the apps I was using previously. As someone who wants to lose a little extra weight, be healthy about it, BUT is also watching their finances because... a down payment on a house isn’t going to save itself 😉... the price tag on this app made me want to try it. 2) I love the way food is logged. I love that it doesn’t look at your calories. I love that it asks how that meal felt. I love that you don’t have to scan a barcode, or sort out a recipe every dang time you log a meal. I’m obsessed, to be quite honest. I also love that it’s tied into my fasting app. Of course this app has other awesome features, like articles, it integrates with my Fitbit, etc, but those two were the biggest selling points for me when I started. I couldn’t recommend this app enough to anyone looking at wanting to learn more about fasting. I don’t usually become obsessed with health tracking apps, but Simple is different.

Nancy. Je viens d installer cette application et jusqu’à maintenant j adore 😃 Je me sens motivé et supporté Merci 🙏

Service à la clientèle. Aucun service en français Obstinage pour du remboursement de frais

SCAM - Don’t download this app. This app is a complete fraud. I forgot to cancel my premium subscription before it starts and they won’t give me a full refund. This is unacceptable. If you want to lose money for stupid reasons, feel free to download this app.

Waste of time. First when signing up it said that I could try the 7 day trial for $1. I thought what the heck, gave them my dollar and downloaded the app. It’s so basic LOL just like any free tracker- with the added bonus of tracking your weight. I immediately went to cancel the trial so I wouldn’t be charged- just for them to say, we will extend the trial for 3 months if I don’t cancel. I assume they know ppl would forget and they would get the $72 after I forgot. No thanks. You’re welcome for the dollar- but there’s free trackers in the App Store. I was hoping for meal and workout suggestions for a paid service. Even if they got a million suckers to download and recognize what the app actually is, they’ve still made $1 million USD. Not bad. Lol

Wow, it’s got a lot more then I was expecting.. It’s got everything.. to tracking my meals, adding ingredients/foods I’m eating at what time. Tracking my drinks, how much of what drink I’m consuming at a certain time. It’s got so many details. You can adjust the plan, make it your own. You can start with something easy and work your way to longer fasting periods when you’re comfortable. I’m super impressed with the app, and I’m excited to stick to it.

Took my money for subscription I told them I did not want after trial. I wish I could give 0 star. I paid for the 7 day trial and email them informing them I don’t want to continue with subscription after the trial. They still took my money even though the app is showing not subscribed. You have to email them to cancel a subscription and then they a MIA. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. Lesa Roberts

Donot download or pay. I have used this app for a year and wanted to lose a lot .. but it didn’t help at all .. all it does is log activity and food with no suggestion and help or plans to lose weight .. I want my money back .. it didn’t help at all.

Poor Service and Fraud. I have downloaded this app for $1.00 free trial for 8 days. After one day I didn’t find this app useful and tried to cancel the subscription but application didn’t allow me. I tried through Apple Pay subscription but this app is not showing there. Now I am sending them emails from last two weeks and no response. They are sending me email back with the steps how I can cancel the subscription but it’s not working for me. I asked for refund and no response. Please don’t download this app because no one is gonna help after. Fraud and useless application.

Deceptively making money. I got baited by this app. First they claimed that with one dollar they give you a plan. Then, without clearly showing that in their website they charged you 70 CAD for renewing subscription. The problem is much worse since I cannot even see my subscription just in case I want to use it. I contact the support 3 times and they just sent me generic template emails. I am gonna follow this with my bank.

This is exactly what I needed!!. I have been using the app for three days and it is THE push I needed to start identifying my relationship with food and control my emotional eating. Instead of tediously entering every last calorie you ate, it asks you who you ate with, where you ate and why you ate. You have the option to put in how good your meal was and whether it was homemade, fast food, etc or a mix, and even the food groups that you ate. SO. SIMPLE. Then it tracks how long since your last meal and gives suggestions for when you should be eating again. There are tiny powerpoints that walk you through how to break your fast and track your hydration. I need simple. I need low maintenance and this app is it. I’ve tried three other fitness apps that were too laborious to use and I failed because I couldn’t keep up. The less I’m on my phone entering details of my meals, the less I’m obsessing and the happier I feel. For me, the level of accountability is perfect and right for me.

Shady company - BEWARE. I notice a pending charge on my card for this company. Never heard of them so I google them and find out it’s a app. I go to my subscriptions on my phone and they are not listed. I look their app up and add it. Then check it out and forced to create a log in providing my basic information. I review it and see they have plugged in information that doesn’t match me in order to make me think I had used this app before. I find their contact information and let them know. I did not sign up for a subscription in Jan 2022 and they state back in July last year I agreed to be billed in Jan 2022 for a 3 month subscription? That’s not even a likely lie. This would be the first time they charged my card. Now they say they cannot refund me as I had 30 days to let them know I canceled the free portion of the subscription back in August before they bill me 5 months later. Pretty shady. I would never agree to 3 months at $50 not even worth it when I already have better apps that do more for FREE! So beware -DO NOT CREATE A LOGIN JUST TO VIEW THE APP they are using that to justify billing you.

What I like about the Simple app?. The Simple app has put me on a journey of no return. It is teaching me about foods that I never heard of before. I love the way it teaches how Whole Foods heal our bodies down to the cellular level. I love the history of foods. I think the research is spot on. I’ve never seen so many expert’s in the field’s of food and nutrition. I’ve been using this app for over 2 months and they have me walking over a mile- unheard of right. I’m slowly loosing weight; however, I’m loosing a lot of inches because my clothes are fitting differently. I share the app with a lot of people but they shrug it off. After I get this weight off they are going to wish they had listened to me. With all the things that I’m learning, my main focus is to get the weight of for knee surgery and my overall health. I’ve gotten more than I bargained for. It’s wonderful! Congratulations to the Simple app team. We no love y’all. In a hurry have a meeting.

Not Just Fasting, But Educational Too... This is my second fasting app. Tracking fasting is easy enough but Simple adds a lot of feedback, to support good choices, identify bad choices, and to educate. I don’t have much to lose, but still wasn’t getting anywhere with another app. Just a week in with Simple, I’m already losing weight, but also learning meaningful nutritional information. Beyond success on my weight goal, I’ll be able to make good adjustments with what I’m learning (already am) for long term health. The only thing I wish were better is the food list. It is small and general; I’d like to see more choices. Maybe better if I could enter (or submit?) foods to add than to have an excessively large list. As is, that doesn’t undermine results, so not a big deal.. This app I think I’ll have and use long term, even beyond goal achievement, to maintain discipline, continue learning, and even be more healthy. Very good app….

Overall great, but a few recommendations. Simple has been a really lightweight way to get into intermittent fasting. I love not tracking every meal in detail but it motivates me to not eat too late. There a few things that I don’t love though. First, it’s really hard to edit a meal and I’m not even sure it’s possible. The time defaults to when you enter the meal, so if you track a meal a few hours after and don’t pay attention, it messes with the whole schedule. Second, it’s be great to be able to start fasting without adding a meal. Or else you need to enter the meal when it’s over and often I want to enter it right when I’m starting and not when it’s over. So I have to enter a fake meal or snack so I can get an accurate fasting start time. Third, I connected my Apple Watch and I’ve still gotten an alert that I haven’t entered a work out even though it’s clearly tracking my active minutes. I’m not sure if you’re unable to connect to workouts vs just active minutes but it’s also unclear that I could add a workout without duplicating active minutes.

Overall great tool for someone new to IF. I get that the point of tracking is food awareness, helping make the experience better and not all about the calories. I have learned a lot since starting IF about 5 weeks ago. I eat less and find being flexible is helpful to meet goals. But even with eating less and narrowing my eating window, I haven’t lost any weight. Not one pound. I would like to request a few things. I eat a lot of gluten free options and there aren’t many search options unless they are prepackaged foods. It’s hard to build an accurate picture of my intake when I can’t find the food I ate. Also, I love the nutrition tips to help me make up a certain macro (like fiber) for my future meals, but I can’t find how to access it once I confirm that I understood in case I want to review it later as I go. It would be great to have a easy to access reference point so I can plan my next meals to get enough of the recommendation.

Why is editing a fast so difficult?. I forgot to stop a fast, and wanted to start a new one. I thought I could delete that inaccurate fast and start again, but I could not figure out how to do that. The UI experience for modifying or deleting fasts is just not intuitive. Moreover when I wanted to start a new fast that had I started a day prior but forgot to start logging, it would just not do it. It was easier to reset my account, than to delete specific fasts. Why did I feel like I had to reset my account, well because as I tried to edit my fasts to display correctly, it undoubtedly changed my avg. fast times. It went from avg. 16 hrs to 5 hrs, and what was even more frustrating is I could not delete the fasts that were inaccurately changing my average because they would NOT show up on my history. Zero App’s fasting modification experience is far superior (adding as a reference point) so hopefully this app’s UI can be improved, as the rest of the app is great. Adding a Fasts icon next to the Explore icon where one could easily edit (start times, end times, dates etc) would be amazing.

Love it except for one thing …. I have been using this app for 22 days now and I love it! It has educated me about IF more than any other app I have used. The FB community has been an awesome addition to the app. The community is quite motivating and informative. I would have given the app 5 stars except for one thing … you are missing the part that tells you what your body status is. I have looked high and low for this on my version of the app but people tell me that the OLDER version has body status and the NEW version did not include it. Is it possible to add this feature to the new app? Someone said I could delete the version I have and reload the old version but I’m afraid I would lose all the stats already put in. If it’s not to much to ask can Simple please put this feature back? Thank you. Other than that I love this app. 💕💕💕

Don’t be Fooled by the Cancellation Policy. I wish I would have read the negative reviews on this app prior to signing up…lesson learned!! The policy says you can cancel in Settings, but that is a total lie! I signed up for the 3 month subscription and did not find the app helpful at all, which is another reason for the poor review (you are not able to properly log food intake at all). I cancelled via the Settings a month prior to the auto renew happening (as the policy states is an option) but didn’t bother to delete the app from my phone because it said I still had it for the remainder of the trial time. A month later I find myself charged the $60 fee for an app that I cancelled the month prior, and all the company would do when I emailed them about this is say I won’t be charged again! I don’t recall the exact date I cancelled because at some point between my cancellation via Settings and the day I was charged, the app signed me out, and I would have had to sign up for it again!! They decided to keep my $60 anyway despite the fact I had cancelled the app!! This company does not abide by their own terms and conditions, so do yourself a favor and don’t sign yourself up for their scam!

Decent app, needs some fixes. This app could be great with a few tweaks. I love how I can keep track of my food, water, and activity. But this app need to add *WAY* more food options that you’re able to log to keep track of meals! There have been many common foods that I haven’t been able to log in order to get an accurate calorie count for meals. It’s extremely frustrating when something that should take 1 minute takes 5 because you’re trying to find the food or something remotely comparable from their limited options. I don’t understand why there are so few common foods yet a lot of ultra-specific, random brand name foods on their list. Needs work. Also, would love to see my daily/weekly/monthly calorie trends in a chart/graph format like the activity and liquid intake graphs. Not sure why they have it for those but not food. Super annoying. Overall helpful app so far though. Will keep using it and hoping they make these few tweaks.

More fasting windows friendly hormonal fasting options. This app can be excellent to help you keep track of general fasting window and eating window options. There are a variety of testing window options and there’s even a manual window option as well. The manual window option is a little awkward to work with, and not as easy to manipulate as I was hoping. Some of the nutritional information can be helpful, especially for anyone who is not in the world of nutrition and doesn’t know where to start. I do think that some of it is a bit generic, and not necessarily specific particularly for women who are either still having a cycle or who may be in menopause or past menopause. It would be great if there was also fasting cycles based on the week before a woman’s cycle, then the week of her cycle, then the week after, etc. Woman and men cannot fast exactly the same, science has proven this. We need to pay attention to our hormones too! The app needs work and the extra fees for things can be frustrating and not mentioned up front.

I LOST 7 POUNDS IN A WEEK. I had always heard of fasting, but I was conflicted for years and didn’t know if I even believed this weight loss method. But finally I got to this point in my life a few days ago where I weighed the heaviest I ever had. And It ruined my confidence and made me hate myself, and I was done feeling the way. So I finally decided to take action. And I downloaded the app and decided to give fasting a try and I’ve lost 7 pounds in just one week. I don’t have to deprive myself with calorie counting or stress about what to eat. I try to make healthier options, but I don’t always. And evens with that I still lost weight. I’m truly amazed and so happy. The only thing I’d recommend to the app is to add more food options like granola bars or shrimp, and certain other things because not every food I eat is on there. But besides that this app has been amazing and really helps keep track of my water ,my exercise, my hunger and my food and I’ve obviously gotten results from it and I would recommend fasting to anyone.😊

Accountability. I’m new to all the applications of the app but I’m excited and hopeful that it will help me maintain a healthy balance in food and lifestyle. Now being on the program for me I have love the I have simple plan that helps with meal idea, the helpful tips on how to improve my meals for nutritional balance. You know Life is a journey and investing in this program it is Simple. Teaching this 65 year old woman new goals and helping me understand my healthy choices. Tricks…I Simply find Amazing ways to learn to be present and mindful even when I wasn’t certain or confident that I can still get back to a healthy lifestyle. I have seen a change in my body and attitude towards the ability to loose weight. As a bonus clarity, understanding and being aware of what my body needs to be present with food choices. Teaching me about the importance of nutrition. I’m simply thrilled with the program and my progress!

Was better. I liked the app when it first came out. However, they continued to update the app and, in my opinion, made it less useful. I used to like capturing the details of each meal seeing nutritional facts. They changed the app to just keyword with little info. It just felt like it was a lot more useful when it had more details. I stopped using it a week ago, even though I’m on a paid subscription, became of the reduced usefulness. They also messed up my subscription a couple of times. The two may be related. I seem to be getting “lessons” that I have completed as if the app has forgotten my progress ver the past 6 months. I originally did a subscription and agreed to extend that even though I didn’t like some of the changes that happened during the 1st subscription. The app and look started acting odd and changes were made that made it less useful shortly thereafter. I cannot say I would recommend this to someone.

It's good! The App helped me loose weight. 😊. I was really excited about the nutritional feed back initially. I'll talk about that first. Each meal logged gets a score, but as the days went on, I noticed that the nutritional information was inconsistent. For example, super foods like blueberries were consistently rated as "optimal" but other super foods like broiled wild caught salmon were rated "good" sometimes and "optimal" other times. Similarly, pumpkin seeds and aged balsamic vinegar were just "good"That said, the Developers responded to my feedback which was a plus, so the app gets improved based on input! The app encourages fluid and exercise and provides a screen-based entry point for logging fluid intake, which is so handy. In addition, the food logging can be done by photo, voice, or input, which is exceptionally handy, but this app does not provide calorie or macro information. Over all, it's a great app. The biggest drawback is the wonky nutritional info. But with daily interaction I DID LOOSE WEIGHT. So no complaints there!

Scam. I downloaded the app with the $1 trial and as soon as I tried to actually use it, all I ever got was pop ups telling me to subscribe to access my personal plan. Before the week was up, I tried everything to cancel before I would be charged the full price. No where on the app was there a place to cancel. It did not show up in my subscriptions and under “manage subscription”, it said I was not subscribed. I’m sure you can guess what happened next. I was charged the full $79. I contacted Simple and did receive a reply. I didn’t qualify for a refund because I didn’t cancel before the week was up. Never mind that there was no way to do that. And the only way I could get a refund was to use the app every day for 2 weeks and THEN request a refund. But my app says I’m not subscribed!! Here’s the fun part. Now I’m being ghosted by the customer service guy who initially answer my complaint. Nothing but crickets since 2/14. Unless you are absolutely sure you want to use this app to track the intermittent fasting you are already doing, I say stay away from this one.

The one for me!. As someone who has tried diets, fads, and promised result gimmicks, I wondered where Simple would rank. Would it be another tried and failed attempt leaving me discouraged OR could it be the one that works for me?! I took the chance, signed up and that was 4 days ago. Day one was full of information, familiarization, and connecting but also someone available to help me at ALL times!! It was comforting to look down at my phone and see progress or a little note from AVO who was checking in with me. I felt like I had a partner in this new journey and in these 4 days, doing what’s asked of me, I’m already down 5lb. For me, if I SEE progress, I then have the desire to try harder. So I do plan to stick with this and learn about what my body needs and doesn’t need while gathering new recipes and being in control of my eating habits.

Might feel different if the database were better. The app has helped me get a better understanding of IF but after the first couple weeks I found I didn’t have time to read their daily articles on what and how to eat and after about a month I’ve actually gained 5+ pounds. I like that the app suggests ways to add more fiber and protein to your diet and IF has helped me get a better understanding of my own hunger cravings but using the app itself is more frustrating than useful. Particularly the food tracker. I was using Lose It! for a few years and loved their food tracker but wanted to try something else so coming from an app with an incredibly comprehensive food database to this was extremely disappointing. I also wish the app showed your daily caloric intake besides once in the morning after logging your first meal. I find it very difficult to keep track of how many calories I’ve consumed in a day/meal. I probably would have bought the three month subscription anyway cuz it took me longer than a week to realize I was miserable but in the future I’m definitely going back to Lose It! and I’ll just track my IF myself. What a shame.

So useful!!. I love a good fitness and tracking app, it helps keep me motivated like nothing else. I’ve tried a lot of different ones, this and Centr by Chris Hemsworth are easily my favorite. That one’s a workout app first, and it cost a pretty penny. This app has an AWESOME free version that has helped me personally lose 3 pounds in two weeks. My problem is I go crazy on the carbs and eat only bread, and this app, based on my height, weight, and weight goals, recommends if I should eat more fiber, protein or carbs in a day. It’s been super helpful to eat more intuitively. The other things I love are the water tracking feature and movement tracking. Each one has so many options and things counted (like exersize - dancing, playing with kids, workouts, what specific type of workouts, and drinks - water, carbonated water, tea and coffee, and a lot of measurements). Anyway, it’s a super app, 100% recommend. Try it out!

Ugh. I used to find more inspiration and use out of the app. But since changes in the the app’s functions there just doesn’t seem to be much use anymore out of the app. I find it easier to just track my meals the old fashioned way with pen and paper and my time with a watch. You do make it difficult to cancel or remove any card information because I have yet to find how to do that. When I called customer service before they only told me I’d have to go through the service I paid it through which was PayPal. I find that absurd. To cancel my subscription with you in order to not deduct another almost $60 from my card I believe I should be able to do that in advance through your services or app where I signed up, not PayPal or my card company or whoever. That should be corrected. I used to recommend the Simple App to people but not since the changes. Make the app helpful again. Add those daily tasks again, and not just the start fast for the day. Pump it up! Yes I said it! We are paying hard earned money for your app not the competition’s. But if the competitor is getting us excited to open that app everyday then we will go there.

System Works. I opted for a 16:8 plan but my average fasting over the last 5 weeks 18.5 hours. Once you get through first week you are good to go. Just remember lots of water and high protein foods to hydrate and curb your appetite. I also feel better just all over. Because of the increased water my caffeine level dropped to a cup a day. I don’t have cravings anymore. And I don’t use fast food restaurants any more. Except Pizza. I still eat too much of that — but did you see I still lost 11 lbs? The app has loads of useful info that keeps your head in the game and sort of makes you compete against the machine. Whatever, I dropped 11 pounds in a month, reduced body fat 2 points and dropped my BMI without trying very hard. Next challenge: working out with some weights and a walk run program. By year end I hope to have dropped another 20 lbs

Too basic. I think this is a good app to get started and to remind you to be consistent, however I don’t feel like it’s good for tracking specifics. For example, the food. I don’t think there are sufficient options to really keep track of what you eat and there are many things that are missing. Therefore,I am not likely to renew my membership. I will be looking for something better. Examples of foods missing: brown rice, tortilla, taco, pork, salsa, guacamole & specific fruits (you have fruit and berries separate, why not banana, apple, etc) also, separate poultry by chicken and turkey. The messages about diversifying the meal is completely unnecessary. If I’m having chicken one meal and ground turkey the next, and maybe my vegetables are different, I don’t need to be told to have some variety in my meals because clearly I do. Lastly, the coffee options needs to change. I gather most people don’t only add one thing like cream or sugar. It only allows you to add one thing. What if it’s a latte? Or flavored creamer? There’s just not enough options to accurately create or analyze your diet.

Love it. This is the only food tracking/fitness/health tracker I’ve stuck to consistently I’ve tried several over the years. I’ve stuck to this one because it’s simple but effective. It’s helps me focus on the most important things with fasting, food and health. I like tracking my fasts on this app. It’s helped me stick to my intermittent fasting plan. The app is also great because it reminds me to drink water, be active, and helps me remember to start fasting- I need those reminders. I love the way food is tracked in the app too, by types of food, whether it is healthy, why I ate and where and with whom. It’s helped me notice patterns and habits. I also like that the app has little informational stories. My favorite one was about determining whether you’re hungry or just think you’re hungry, I think of the tips from that every time I feel a craving coming on. The app will also track your weight and will show you the data on that and other information in your fasts etc. It also lets your see the successes you’ve had.

Good app but buyer beware!!!. I purchased the 3 months subscription and canceled prior to the expiration date. My subscription was canceled April 2023 and it was noted on my iTunes account. (Still have that notification) January 2024 rolls around and my credit card had a charge for a 3-month subscription. I have no email or subscription purchases on my side. Connected with simple life’s customer service and their response was that they cancelled my subscription and I would no longer be charged for a renewal subscription. Even after sending screenshots of my cancelled subscription back in April 2023, they refused to refund. They could also not provide me with details of the account the subscription was under even though my card was charged!! After researching reviews-it’s seems others have experienced the same issue!! This issue will be taken up with the credit card fraud department. Check your statements carefully and save your cancellation notices. There are other apps out there that are just as good and have ethical policies with their subscriptions. Pass on this purchase!!!

So far, so great!. I love that it keeps me accountable about the meals that I eat. Although I wish they had more variety choices to select when you input the kind of meal you’re having but otherwise great. I keep track of everything from food, to water intake, exercising and tracking weight. Plus it has some really amazing tips and tricks, along with healthy but delicious meals to make. I’ve really enjoyed my experience so far and have lost 9 pounds so far being on this intermittent fasting program. I do the 16:8 but have reduced my snacking and eating to essentially one meal a day. It’s been amazing. Everyone should consult your doctor before trying it, but I’ve never felt more energetic and happy since being on this program. Also finding myself close to God everyday as well. It’s been a whirlwind and I can’t wait to see my results after a year! 🏆💪🏼🙏🏻😊

Predatory Company - Avoid!!!. Edit 2: They can respond in a public setting acting helpful yet again, but have completely ghosted my emails for weeks. No responses at all. This company has garbage ethics and the worst customer service I’ve ever seen. 100% do no put your credit card info into this app. Edit: I find it astounding that the developer can respond to my comments on the AppStore telling me that they would be happy to help, but then proceed to ignore every email I send to them. They promised a response within 48 hours - that was a week ago! They sure want to paint a good picture of their customer service to potential customers, but once they take your money don’t expect to get any help from them. This app is a money trap. Beware of their trial, the contract locks you in. And don’t log out of the app, I came back to cancel and my account wasn’t recognized, so I couldn’t even access the settings to cancel. Andrew with customer service sends a generic “see our contract” email when requesting a refund. Absolutely garbage customer service policies. I would rather do business with a rock then ever come near this company again. I will be reporting this as fraud with my credit card agency.

Great app but latest UI changes are a detriment. I love this app. I. An say that it has helped me keep track of my food and liquids intake. In a way, it has gamified my attempts to go back to a weight I feel comfortable with and I am there. I can see people being able to do it without the app but it has worked for me. The recent changes in the UI are not as great. I used to be able to look at my individual meals and liquids intake and adjust as needed. That seems to be gone. When I start the app it seems to o flash the old four buttons and then it settles on three buttons at the bottom of phone. Or maybe the app cache is messed up. Please fix or bring it back. The other thing I noticed is that many times, in the evening it want to log my dinner as happening the day before. I will suspect that this related to clock/timing issue and should be easy to fix. As I said, useful app. I would rate it 5 stars if it wasn’t for those issues, which mess up my experience with it.

The free trial is a SCAM!!. The app was promoting a free trial and where i need to use my card so i did. However it yesterday charged me over $200 for a year subscription saying i have not cancelled my subscription. First of all i never subscribed to the paid service and i provided my card details trusting them and for to try a free trial. However since its a scam they charged me for a full year and refused to give me back my money as any other scam. If it is was a legit business they will for a month not for 12 months!! Please be aware when using their free trial before you get scammed!! **************************************************Reply to developer: true. I started a free trial on oct 2020 and provided my cards for a free trial. Like i replied to Anne on email i had no knowledge i was subscribed to a monthly/annual service. If i knew i would have cancelled or contacted your team. I saw your promotion on instagram and provided my card details for a FREE trial. I used it for a few hours and i knew it was not for me. But now i am been charge for a full year though service has not been used for even 24 hours!! My card details was provided for a free trial and not to be charge for a monthly/annual subscription that i was not aware!

ADHD brain compliant. The best part for me that helps me stay on track is the fat burning stages. Knowing what stage you’re in helps me keep on it until I reach that next step. I lose weight when I follow it without having to stress—at all. Even when I eat something I shouldn’t as long as I follow the schedule I don’t gain. This app keeps me on track and nothing else I’ve used has. It encourages with the progressive articles, easy meal entry and immediate rating on your food choices, reminders to eat, drink and fast, colorful images that make it easier for my tricky brain to follow, dark mode which also helps me a lot. I’ve had to stop a couple times when money was tight but always come back as soon as I can because I gain weight when I’m not using it. Being 50 I definitely have to keep the weight in check and this works.

Needs more. I like this app so far, and paid for the yr subscription. What I think would make this app better is to have a place where you can ask questions and get feedback. I don’t understand the work hrs that are listed and didn’t see one for 4/10. It would just be nice to be able to ask a question when I come across something on the app the I don’t understand or remember. I don’t see a place to log my steps since I don’t have my phone with me at work it gets an inaccurate reading for the steps I take and it’s not compatible with fit bit. I also think it had a few more general food choices and if it could explain what an unhealthy choice is. Also it needs a candy choice since I tend to eat a lot of cookies/candy this way I could see how much. Unless that would be considered a dessert. It would be good if it broke down what certain sections are. There needs to be some more explanation about things on the app that are just very generalized. But I like it so far

I love it to far - those people think it’s a scam, it’s your fault you didn’t read the print. When I read the fine print, it says 7 days trial then you get charge after. There were three options: 15 dollars a month, 35 dollars a year and 30 dollars a year Christmas special. After the trial, you’ll have to cancel or else you get charge. Simple as that! Don’t blame the owner because you did not read the terms and conditions. It’s just like ordering a hot coffee without thinking it’s hot before sipping it. Come on people use your common sense! Anyways, this is a good strategy when it comes to self control. I love this since it’s so specific and it guides you really well on how to fast the right way. It will teach you what you can and can’t have during fasting day. I recommend this to all people who want to lose weight and who want to learn self control. Thanks for making this app for us!

Creative app! It craves more creativity though. Thanks for the easy-tasked app that helps journaling and regulating eating habits. Although this is everything anyone could ask for, solving more “tweaks here and there” in one’s lifestyle is always essential for further development. I have a couple of suggestions that would make this app “The App” that I’d call (My Body Journal). 1) Easily generate an infographic data of body, just like the ones we get from the weighing machines, InBody. People could share their data report with their practitioners. They could easily set the calendar and info to be shared. 2) More calorie counting info to input to help people customize their fasting criteria with their practitioners. 3) If medical devices could be integrated in the data report to help people with serious conditions to regulate their diet/fasting. and more is always good, but gets bad when it isn’t Simple! Thanks for this app

Ok interface- TERRIBLE food logging. I think Simple is OK- I like the look, the articles, etc., however for food logging, it is terrible considering the price for a year subscription. For example- when attempting to log “chicken”- the first option that comes up is “chicken fat.” Seriously!?! There is no barcode scanning option, so you’d think the database would be decent. No. I’ve resorted to logging meals with no details because it’s just absolutely frustrating to find any real food that a person would eat. Also, it seems this option- to log without details is only available via notification. It would be nice if it was a button available anytime. Overall- like I said, the look is nice, I find the articles interesting, but will not be keeping beyond my subscription. I did have some trouble when I first set up my account, and there customer service was nice and responsive- no complaints there. If you really want to make this something great, develop the food logging function better.

Looking for a long term fix. Using Simple is a great way to chart your progress and understand what you’re doing in terms of your body. The educational spots help you think in ways that maybe you hadn’t before. While the weight doesn’t immediately drop off, it does come off gradually and constantly. It takes an attitude of “this is not a diet. This is a new lifestyle.” The messages make you feel encouraged and at the same time, willing to take the ups and downs as you proceed down the path to a healthier feeling. I probably wouldn’t have been ready for this 10 years ago, but I am now. I know when I get my next physical everybody’s gonna smile especially me. Charting your progress is a good way to keep your head in the game as far as the diet and not stray. I recommend anybody who’s serious about losing weight and keeping it off to try this.

easy to use and great info. I got this app and paid the Christmas Special. This app is very unique to intermittent fasting. You can log your meal, hunger level, and start/end of fast. Not only does it tracks your fast - it lets you know what is happening to your body as you fast which is super cool. There are also quotes and helpful articles. So far I have used the app for 4 days and lost 4 lbs. If you consider your self as a religious person read on: I decided to get this app because I decided to do fasting for health and religious reasons. Though the functionality, articles, and quotes are great, It does talk about evolution. I don’t not believe in this. I simply digest what I think is appropriate and move forward. Maybe one day the user can indicate specifics on what articles they would like to read in the initial status when creating their profile. Still, love the information portrayed especially in an easy and fun manner to read. Well worth it. 😎

Keeps me honest…. It gets easy to tell myself that a little cream in my coffee is ok, or a bun on my burger won’t hurt, but tracking my fasts and seeing how those little things effect my progress is very telling and helps me stay on track. I like that you don’t count calories, but can track general types of food. I know that it can’t realistically include every food out there, but it was surprising to find falafel but not curry. I only use the demo version and so far it has been fine. I would like to try the full version, but can’t afford the $50 annually, ($80 if you pay the “sale” price of $20 per quarter). I might consider upgrading if the Christmas sale I’ve heard of returns. Overall, a simple fast tracker that is keto friendly (many others are not) that doesn’t require a degree in food science to log your meals, and keeps me honest with myself, without added guilt for doing it my way. Very flexible plans and eating windows.

Preliminary review but so far so great. It’s too early to provide a complete picture because I’ve only just begun. Initially I will say that I’m very impressed with the app. The information presented is very up to date and super helpful. The app is probably the best I’ve seen for online fasting in terms of tracking one’s fast. I must say I’m completely sold in the food tracking ability. When I think of all the hours I’ve spent searching for food items and entering portions. Ugh… Simple it’s actually, well… SIMPLE! I can simply enter my food vocally, or my favorite - snapping a photo and the so does the rest. LOVE THAT! I wish I could include a success story along with this but I had my first fast andi had to “break” the fast early because I was too hungry. I’m going to persevere. This really seems like it will work and I’m not giving up.

Doesn’t support extended fasting. I used this app religiously for about a month. I even paid for premium because it was actually helping me with IF. Loved so much about it. the simplicity, the tips and information, the interface, highly customizable fasting windows, performance charts, etc. Until I planned for and decided to do a 42-hour fast. I finished the fast at 44 hours, logged it, and all heck broke loose. The app (which looks at previous fasting to help you set goals for your next fast) started setting my daily goal at 44 hours per day, which is impossible. And it didn’t give me “credit” in my performance for the whole day I abstained from eating. It showed it as a “failed” day. Instead of hitting my fasting window the whole week, it reflected I was successful 5 of 7 days. Ugh. After weeks of seeing my adherence charted and being motivated by my “streak”, the app was essentially broken and nothing was accurate moving forward. I reached out to customer service a few times. They confirmed the app “does not support” fasts that extend across an entire 24-hour day. Total bummer.

“Simple” can work for you!. I had never formally followed a prescribed diet because I felt I was eating fairly healthy but as the decade’s rolled by & the “wear & tear” life brings to all of us I gained weight becoming unhealthy with high B/P as well as heading towards adult onset diabetes. I was overweight and had little motivation to change anything. Simple has made all the difference for me! This program is full of information about the foods we eat, what the body is doing physiologically when we eat & how this process can make the difference in how we lose weight. I had never fasted before learning what a difference it makes to be burning fat & losing weight! Simple is what it says…re-educating one on why we gain weight with our food choices & how we can conquer our issues with food! It’s totally possible to achieve weight loss as we learn to apply it in our busy stressful lives! It is so worth exploring! Simple makes it easy just give it a chance! I’m very grateful we found each other!

Love Simple. I love how Simple keeps me on track. The only thing that bothers me are the frequent changes to how to log food. It makes it confusing sometimes. Just when I get used to something, it changes again. The latest change only requires you to write your own list of foods you ate for a meal and it highlights key food names to track how much of different types of foods you are eating. This seems like the quickest way to log your food compared to the past, but it doesn’t seem to register the ways you are preparing your food, like steaming or baking or frying, etc. I think this can affect the health of your food as well, and should be taken into account somehow. Other than that, it’s working great for me. Slow results for weight loss but I figure I’m creating a new lifestyle and something I can stick to, which means I’m not so deprived that I want to quit. I’ll keep plugging away and the healthy results will eventually follow. Thanks!

Confusing. Cluttered and tedious app. Made a mistake. You followed up with me, expressing your disappointment that I was disappointed in your app. I just came off two months of using the Noom app, and got tired of the “coaches” (a.k.a. bots) that were continually pestering me to log every bite of food I took. All I could think about was food. Two months of 1200 cal a day and exercising 4 to 5 times a week, and I didn’t lose a pound. I was hoping your app was “simple” but found it cluttered and unable to even connect to my electronic scale. Start eating, stop eating. That’s all I’m looking for. Every single day comes with a stupid five item checklist, I don’t have time to go through all your different screens. Just a simple daily instruction to define my eating window. At least if I went to Panera, I could tell Noom I had a green goddess salad. You make me build a freaking salad from scratch. I don’t need coaching, I don’t need encouragement, I just want a stripped down version that talks about fasting. Soon as I realized the same level of complexity was involved, I decided this was not for me. However, you won’t give my money back so I can’t give you a favorable review. What else do you want to know?

An intentionally misleading money grab. Intermittent fasting works, but this app is a scam. They set false expectations that would land their users in the hospital or the morgue. (No, a person will not lose 160 pounds in 6 months through intermittent fasting alone.) They’ve also designed numerous traps into the app to trick users into converting trial accounts into paid subscriptions. Decline to do this and they just rearrange the buttons and screens and ask again and again to deceive you into giving them your money by mistake. Don’t fall for their dirty tricks. It’s a bad app peddled by bad people. ADDENDUM: Their response about how they’d love to hear about my Simple experience is all for show. I contacted support BEFORE writing my review. When they refused to help because they claimed it violated some arbitrary internal policy of theirs, I replied that they’d left me with no alternative but to write a review about my experience and seek resolution with my credit card company. They didn’t bother to reply to that, so that’s exactly what I did. Their sudden concern is a pile of hot garbage. There are a lot of 1-star reviews here with people complaining they’ve been scammed or were charged when they weren’t supposed to be. Buyer beware.

Game Changer for a procrastinator like me…. I started the free trial and forgot about it until I saw the charge come through, lol! I thought, “welp, I better start using this $70+ app since I already paid for it!” Lost 10 pounds in less than a month. Love the fact that you get feedback and helpful articles on eating habits. I’ve learned to be more intentional with my food choices and having the app tell me how many grams of protein and fiber I need for the rest of the day is tremendously helpful when planning what to eat next. I only wish the app allowed you to create and add a new meal. For instance I make a soup with white bean, spinach and other vegetables. But the system “can’t find any matches” so I wind up having to add the different ingredients separately in order to log my meal. Also would be nice if you refer back to the Cal/Fiber/Protein insights that pop up after you log a meal. Sometimes I forget how much of what I am supposed to have to hit my goals.

Night Shifters Struggle with Eating. Anyone who works night shifts knows what a struggle it can be to keep good eat habits. I often struggled with what time should I eat and when should I stop. Also tiredness can simply lead to overeating which has been another factor for my weight gain. This app has literally helped me gain personal control in one small aspect of life which has been the timing of my meals. Maybe that seems trivial for some people but it has been a consistent struggle since working nights. When nothing else has help me I was advised by my doctor to consider intermittent fasting. My husband found this app and we have been doing it together. He works days and I work nights so although we fast at different times we have at least one meal together daily. He has lost nearly 20 pounds in 4 weeks and I have lost 15 so I’m not disappointed in the least and will continue the journey

Terrible App Trying to take $$. I tried the app for one week trial but never used once. I tried to cancel the subscription on Oct 12th, a day before the expiration of the “trial” but the app showed no current or pending subscription and no cancel option. They also have no way to contact them. The subscription section in my phone settings had no subscription showing either. The next day, they charged me and I received an email from Simple saying Welcome to premium. I responded immediately that I never used the app not even once and that I tried to cancel but gave no option. They responded on the next day the 14th that I didn’t see anything on the app on my phone regarding cancellation because there was a different email associated with my “real” simple account. I never used the app, nor had access to cancel so i should not have to pay almost $80 for something I won’t use. I contacted them several ways regarding the day before and day of the charge but they refuse to issue refund. They are a ripoff. They want to collect money from customers even if customers don’t and never used app and tried to cancel the day before the “trial”. Please beware of fraud app trying to get money for nothing!!

Erroneous Charges with No F’s Given. I signed up for the 7 day trial and upon doing so was Offered a 3 month membership at a lower rate. After declining I was offered an even lower rate to which I accepted. After 7 days I was charged another $79. No problem, obviously a mistake. I emailed Simple explaining the situation and letting them know that I will not keep using the app if I am charged $79 every 3 months. I get a response from Andrew with instructions on how I can cancel my membership. I reach back out for resolution. Who knows, maybe I misunderstood the conditions of the first transaction? Nothing. No reply, nothing. I waited over a week and finally had to dispute the charge with my bank. Now let me tell you, the app and program itself is great. It holds you accountable and it has short snippets to educate you on your eating habits and how active you are. If you use it correctly, it will utilize your profile to customize a program to fit your lifestyle. Unfortunately I will have to take Andrews advice and cancel. Sorry Simple, I will not be renewing my membership. I can’t work with a company that will take money with zero f@&!’s given. Spare your wallets people. These guys are crooks.

Ridiculous in terms of both plan and price. So basically, I was curious to see what the plan recommended for me, so I picked the 12 week weekly charge. It’s not a weekly charge - they charge you the whole amount up front, which I didn’t expect. So I cancelled, but wasted 30 bucks. But I guess more importantly the plan they recommended was not healthy. They give you an “ease in” option, which gives you a window in which to eat of 10 hours a day. Fine. I actually already eat in a 9-10 hour a day frame anyway. But the recommended one was two meals a day. Two. No snacks. Not small meals through the day. You eat a 10am, you eat at 6pm. So they are literally recommending you develop an eating disorder basically. And if you eat two meals a day, of course you’ll lose weight, but that’s not sustainable so when you stop, you’ll gain it back quickly. And then for activity it told me to get 80 minutes a day. So closer to an hour and a half than an hour. I do get exercise every day, usually about 30 minutes, some days 45. But I have a JOB. 80 minutes a day isn’t remotely realistic. I’m so mad I wasted my money on this app. So, so mad.

Extremely Effective. Since I started simple I lost 12.5 lbs in 3 weeks. The key is how easy the app is to use and in the tips they provide throughout the day as you log your activity. I like the tracking of time for fasting and the focus on small changes in habits over time. I didn’t even know I was emotionally eating until after I started simple and I really started to key in on what was driving my hunger. Since simple I’ve been encouraged to become active again but out of everything I’ve tried - personal trainer, MyFitnessPal, Noon - this has felt the most SUSTAINABLE by far. The rest of the apps were also effective and the personal trainer were effective in the short haul but over time this feels the Simplest. I have started recommending this app to anyone and everyone that wants to start on the weight loss journey. I love this.

Not what they claim.. Awful app. Simple does describe…so simple it is useless. The description makes it sound great. But once you get into the app you realize that it is so basic in its functionality that there is no benefit. Was suppose to have some workout stuff but that is not accessible…the page crashed so I didn’t even get to finish any info concerning what I was interested in for workouts. I canceled immediately and followed the instructions to request a refund….NO RESPONSE. They do seem like scam artists. Will have to put in a claim via my payment method to get my money back. Update: order through the website so sent an email requesting a refund. Response…we don’t see an account. Well you took my money…red flag that this is a low quality app and possible scam. Filed a complaint with PayPal to get my money back. DO NOT give this questionable group any of your hard earned money. Additional update: insults upon insults from this company as I try to get my refund. Stop playing games and refund the money. No reply from them on PayPal…guess they want to drag it out and keep my money for as long as possible. DO NOT subscribe to this useless app.

Food database seems woefully incomplete. I have used on app for intermittent fasting, and have tried two others for logging meals. Everything I’ve used worked well, but I wanted both the fasting and food logging in one app. I got an ad for Simple so I tried it, then made the mistake of accepting their offer to commit to premium membership before using my initial trial. And…I’m bummed. Used this for about 5 meals and the food database is lacking. Very few things I tried to log showed up at all as an option from which to choose. As a result, this is not useful to me. I asked for a refund (and explained why), but received an email explaining why I was charged for a 3-month subscription, which is not what I asked. I then replied and said I knew that but wanted a refund; another reply came—impressively quick, but not helpful—saying my cancelation was logged and I wouldn’t be charged again. Replied one more time and asked for a refund—again—and oddly the replies have stopped. So, my advice is to try the app if the feature set looks good, but don’t commit to the offer without really exploring the available tools. Wish I’d been a bit smarter here.
