Loóna: Sleep Stories App Description & Overview

What is loóna: sleep stories app? - WHAT IS LOÓNA?
loóna is the first app that lets you quickly disconnect from a long stressful day and get in the right mood for sleep.

- SO, IT'S ANOTHER SLEEP APP, RIGHT?
Not exactly. loóna isn’t a list of direct go-to-sleep techniques, but rather a mood-altering app that helps you to stay calm during the day and prepares you emotionally for going to sleep in the evening.

- WHY IS BEDTIME MOOD IMPORTANT?
Negative emotions we accumulate during the day are processed and consolidated by our brain during sleep making them more difficult to disassociate from when faced again in the future. Moreover, feeling angry, anxious, down, or, the opposite, excited, and elated, is likely to affect latencies to sleep onset and REM-sleep. People mistake it for the symptoms of a sleep disorder, but in reality, they just may be in the wrong mood for sleep.

- HOW DOES LOÓNA WORK?
From the wake up and during the busy day Loóna will support your emotional states with playlists and immersive stories. Each night you’ll have a recommended escape. An escape is a guided session that combines activity-based relaxation, storytelling, and sounds in a unique way. Complete it to shut the frantic world out, reset your mind, and create the perfect mood for sleep.

Loóna saves your escape sessions to your Apple Health app.

The upgrade to loóna PLUS provides access to the entire collection of escapes. Our subscription options are: 1-month subscription,3-month subscription and 1-year subscription with a 7 day trial, (price may vary by location).

Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable.

I Adore This App.. I never thought I'd be in a position where I wanted to hawk an app, but here I am. Ever since I was a teenager I've had trouble with insomnia. I'll go through periods where it takes two to three hours to fall asleep. I'm tired enough to sleep. That isn't the problem. I just can't seem to switch my brain off long enough to do it. I'll lay there for hours and think about everything under the sun. I downloaded this app one day on a whim. You're not really supposed to lay in bed on your phone so I thought how well could it really work? It looked pretty though. I like pretty things. I loaded it up and there are episodes called sleepscapes that you color in as you're guided by a narrator. I did the first episode, put my phone on the charger and closed my eyes. In ten minutes, I was asleep. I was kind of amazed. I kept doing it every night and it kept working. I'm not sure at all of the specifics but I think it gets your mind to focus on one thing, something relaxing, and allows your brain to shut down enough to actually fall asleep. It got to a point where I didn't need to use it every night. My mind knew it was time to go to bed and it cooperated. If you have an issue like mine then I suggest just giving it a shot. People use it for sleep, for anxiety issues, with varying degrees of success. I don't think it works for everyone who tries it, but it does seem to help a lot of people.

Really love this app, but just a few things. I've been using Loóna for over a year now, and I love the creative and calming atmospheres it invokes. One thing I miss however, is the way the functioning of the music tracks were before. I enjoyed the classification of the albums and if I wanted a certain vibe I could play an album. Now there is no song length that I can see except for the timer, and I have to manually switch songs if I feel like playing another when I'm working or sleeping. I enjoy the "playlist" capabilities it had before even if it was limited, and I feel its even more limiting now. I hope we can at least create our own playlists or have some sort of "queue" system or any of the like that allows music to change after a certain time. I also enjoyed it when the music was sorted into "worlds" or had that sort of sorting feature that groups types of music together by theme instead of strictly purpose. I enjoyed the type of immersion that the themes gave me, rather than the working function, but all of this is me being nitpicky as a writer.

More chapters. I really really like the concept and originality of this app, and some of the sleepscapes are miraculously beautifully and soothing, but i’ve already gone through most of the chapters in just a few months. I wish they had more fantasy and scenic chapters and less “nostalgic” ones. I feel like they aren’t nostalgic for most people, but rather unrelatable, boring, or even stressful. My favorites are “a secret ingredient”, “japanese garden”, and “the luminous realm”. I love the British man’s voice. “Somewhere land express”, “lilly harbor”, “dreamworlds best chef”, “the rain garden” a lot of the sleepscapes from the dream world chapter, the carousel one, “the temples of the good winds”, “the hut on chicken legs”, “into the wilderness”, “a matter of perspective”, sweet dreams inc, and a few others that i’m not remembering the names of are nice as well though. The rest are bleh in my opinion. I wish I had more that I liked for the amount I paid. I also don’t understand why they quiz you on colors when it has literally nothing to do with the colors you see. It boggles my mind.

Limits should be optional. I understand the idea of only doing one sleepscape a night, but I am currently in my free trial and already I am feeling frustrated. It feels rather ableist to assume that anyone can get relaxed the same way. For me, the 10 or so minutes of the temple started to make me sleepy, but wasn’t enough to get me relaxed enough to sleep. I have adhd and I can’t listen to music or audio while actually falling asleep, which is exactly why I downloaded this app. But after completing the first sleepscape, I realized it only lets you do one a night. For me, I need more time, and I can’t listen to anything without looking at a screen (again, adhd), so listening to the music or the stories was a no for me. Which in turn means that I closed the app, and opened a different one. It completely undid everything that I liked about the app. I’m asking you to add an option to limit your sleepscapes instead of doing it for us. I am fully willing to pay for this app because it is very beautiful and well made, but not if it means that I can’t use it when I want. Not everyone’s brain works the same way, and it’s unfair to create boundaries that limit who can use this app and when. I hope you decide to change this feature.

It Keeps Getting Better & Better. When I first downloaded the loóna app I adored it, but realized I would have to finish a story to progress to the next, even if I hated the story. They have changed that and added more and more sleepscapes, music, stories, breathing exercises, etc! It’s so calming and I really do enjoy the positive updates and changes as they have developed it. This helps with my sleeping hygiene and I get better sleep when I use loóna consistently. About 3/5 of my most challenging nights where my insomnia is killing me are improved with loóna. It’s not a perfect cure all, but it helps. My biggest issue now is wondering if the developers can make a confirmation of choices for RESTART on the pause screen. Sometimes my finger slips when I try to select continue and restart will automatically take you back to the beginning even if you were 95% through the sleepscape. Not uncommon for someone who is sleepy to select the wrong choice. Please add a confirmation. Continue and restart are too close together! ❤️

It is great. I've had Loóna for some time now and play it every evening. Each day is a different story and a person tells the story and has you color it through the story. Their story tellers are great and the scenes are pretty incredible. I have one Complaint and that is the music. I think it's horrible. This is supposed to relax you, but it doesn't. I'm talking about the music that is played while they are telling the story. When he or she has you color what they are talking about, they stop talking until you finish coloring that small part and the music that has been playing comes up loud and believe me, it doesn't relax you. I have to turn it down to color and back up when they are talking. It's really annoying. I've not listened to any of their other music so I can't say what it's like. I must say I love the app. I turn the lights down really low or off and follow the story and color the parts and its really neat. The whole thing is great except for the music during the story. You should give it a try.

Awful. So disappointed. They changed the app after purchase. I loved this app when it first came out. I used it every night to fall asleep as did my daughter at 7 PM. She has anxiety and this would always help her calm down to fall asleep. At some point in the last update the app developers decided they no longer wanted people who paid for access to the app to be able to access it whenever they felt it was necessary to use to calm down. They restricted access to 8 PM to 8 AM..The times they decided it was acceptable for me to access the contact. How ridiculous is that? When I emailed them about it I was told they were trying to reinstate their mission as being a sleep aid as people were using it during the day to calm down. Who cares when we use it??? As long as the app is helping peoples anxiety and we are loving it and recommending it to others who gives them the right to limit my access to the content and I paid for? My daughter is sooo upset she can’t use it anymore because some hotshot ceo decided 8:00 was an acceptable bedtime. Insane.

Amazing but way too expensive. As much as I really want to give this app 5 stars, it definitely deserves it, the price just changes everything. I was seriously hoping this would be the answer to what is becoming crippling anxiety but of course, even with the premium subscription, you can only play one chapter, every 24 hours. The first free one truly helped me get into a good head space, and I honestly was willing to try to move some money around to pay for the full version. But it’s NOT worth paying this much when there’s a limit. I understand the developers don’t want us rushing through the chapters but if we are paying for it, we should be able to move on. As much as the developers deserve support for their unbelievably beautiful work, just seems greedy the way this is set up. It’s supposed to help people but it traps you into a long expensive subscription rather than letting you pay fairly for the content. I’m honestly mind blown that you would have to pay $13 a month for something that takes max 10 minutes of your day. Even worse is the $40 for the year that they don’t even have content to be enjoyed for that long. At least there needs to be a free simple version or a one time payment that is not too much for most people, especially these days.

This app is exactly what I needed, with some tweaks?. While the price is more than I’d like to pay, I’d say it’s worth it. I have adhd and TERRIBLE insomnia, so when I started the trial period with this app I was skeptical at first. I just have to say, that majority of the time when I use Loóna to fall asleep, I usually don’t finish the sleepscape before I’m out for the night. Some nights are worse than others, but as a whole I would 100% recommend this app. The only thing I ask is can there be some way to change narrators on stories? Or specify what voice is for which, because I fall asleep best when listening to the British person, but when you have the more feminine or America sounding voices, for me it’s just too much to focus on when I’m trying to get to sleep. I’d love to hear more stories with the British voice, it’s much easier to fall asleep to for me. But! Aside from that, I don’t have any other points to bring up. I love the app, can’t wait to listen to more stories, and fall soundly asleep. Goodnight! 💤

Life-changing best app EVER. Exactly what I didn’t know I needed to fall asleep better at night!. Okay. I have been meaning to actually write a review of this app instead of just pestering my friends and family about it endlessly. I CANNOT say enough praise for this app!! It is so incredibly magical and wonderful and just exactly what I didn’t know I needed to fall asleep better at night!!! It is just engaging enough that it takes my mind off of everything else going on in life, but not difficult or straining in any way. The whole thing is absolutely incredible and each episode is honestly a work of art! I don’t usually pay for apps, but $20 for a year of sleeping so. much. better. is SO worth it, and honestly it’s a steal! (And so is $40 after the first year) I do a sleepstory every night to calm down and relax, and then fall asleep to one of my favorite soundscapes. I cannot even imagine how much works goes into every sleepstory – the 3D modeling of every object, the texture and color, the sound effect and animation, the script, the voiceover, and the gorgeous accompanying soundscape! I would love if the soundscape timer had a few time options in between 15 minutes and 40 minutes (maybe 25 and 35?). And I personally adore the more whimsical sleepstories, so I would love to see more with magical glades, secluded islands, and cloud castles! (If you want any story ideas, let me know! Haha) Seriously, this is the greatest app. Try it. Thank you so much, Loóna team!!!

More new sleepscapes please!!. I love this app, I have struggles with insomnia since I was FAR too young to know what insomnia was, and this is the first app that’s ever truly helped me sleep. However, since I started using Loona, the production of new sleepscapes has slowed to the speed of molasses. I have already done all of the sleepscapes provided, even the ones that I really didn’t enjoy, and I wish that they would come out with new content more frequently. When I first started there would be new stories once/month at minimum, but it’s now been multiple months since the last release. I understand that it takes a huge amount of time and effort to make each sleepscape, but I got frustrated with the app a few months ago and stopped using it in hopes that there would be new content when I picked it back up, but it’s exactly how I left it. I wish that they would stop trying to add new features to the app and instead focus on the content that people pay for: new sleepscapes. I don’t mind replaying some of my favorites a few times, but the content is not being replaced at the rate of which it’s being consumed. I hope that there are a bunch of new stories in the works that will come out soon, because I’m getting bored with repeating the same stories over and over!

Misleading free trial info. Possible scam. What happened to my 1 week trial? The way they present the free trial is misleading or unclear on the sign up page. Made me think you can try it out for a week on either the 1 year plan or monthly. So I set it to 1 month thinking nothing of it. I tried it and while it is a well developed app, it’s just not for me. Would make a great before bedtime activity for children. So I went to cancel my subscription 4 days into what I thought is my free trial and was surprised to see that I was already paying for a month. It’s their responsibility as app developers to be clear about subscription plans and they failed in that department. I still don’t know if they offer a free 1 week trial or what as I went back to read a bunch of reviews after my experience and see that a lot of people have gone straight into paying for their membership without a free trial. The responses to people upset are not helpful and lacking any sort of accountability or remorse. Not very professional in their response. And some of the responses say to email with a certain subject name that has nothing to do with the reviewer’s name. This seems to be a scam operation.

This app is brilliant. I was aware of the evidence supporting the approach the developers took in designing this app, so I knew this would be a good app to try. The mental health benefits of savoring a detailed scene are proven. I’ve done other apps where the scenes are cheesy and 2D. This app kicks things up multiple levels with the interactivity, 3D scenes, beautiful visual designs, and professional storytelling. I have very good mental health and sleep hygiene myself, so I only use this app once in a while, but I recommend it all the time to people I care about. I even assigned it to one of my junior employees to improve her attention to detail. I told her to avoid hitting the hint button unless absolutely stumped. (You build skill when the task is hard!) So if attention to detail is something you struggle with, just note that this app can ALSO be used for that, in addition to the listed benefits. I don’t often write reviews but this app is important and very well done. Great work devs.

A little creepy, not gonna lie 😳. Am I the only one who finds this app creepy? I mean, I know I means well. But I find the music ominous and the narrator sounds like a voice actor for a suspenseful audiobook. And depending on how light the screen of my phone was or not, made the images on the sleepscapes change from cute to concerning as they looked kinda different. Like the dragon one seems cute with light but with my night mode on it looks a bit demonic. I did enjoy some of the other sleepscapes, but I don’t think this app is for me. Out of the three times I tried, only once did I actually go to sleep during a sleepscape. And even then it took me a while to get past the spooky feeling I originally got from it. I’m sure other people may find this app helpful and I really do like the premise. The coloring in is adorable and the stories themselves are sweet. But I just usually end up feeling more anxious than relaxed. Like I get completely surprised when all of a sudden there’s an animal incompletely missed because it was all whited out and once it’s colored it moves. Yeah I don’t need that at bedtime. It’s already hard enough for me to sleep. TLDR: like the premise of the app but using it I found it was too creepy for me to sleep well. Others may benefit better than I did.

Wonderful resource for winding down. As someone who lives with both ADHD and anxiety, this app has been an amazing way to wind down before bed and get my brain to focus on calm, happy things. Recorded guided meditations aren’t always my thing, and coloring the scene helps me stay on track and not open other apps. Speaking of the scenes- hats off to the visuals team. They are stunning and memorable. Beautiful use of color and texture within the modes. My favorites so far are the Luminescent Tree, the Rain Garden, and the Japanese garden. The soundscapes are also lovely! Easy to loop but not too repetitive or disruptive to sleep. Thanks for the easy hint button too- I love that there’s nothing frustrating about this. This has been a nice break from my “ambient music” routine and I genuinely feel calmer, sleepy, and happier for bed. I’m going to start recommending this to my friends, family; and students! THANK you loóna!! I can’t wait to see how the app develops in the future. PS- I REALLY love the nature scenarios. The narratives have all been nice but I think I preferred those to the stories about aliens ;) more water scenes and glowing scenes please!! ❤️

Need more daytime activities, otherwise great. As the title says, this app is excellent and I would recommend it to anybody, however, it is sorely lacking in daytime activities. The sleep scapes are absolutely wonderful and so relaxing, but I’d love to have maybe “dayscapes” to do when I’m anxious or stressed. Normally I wouldn’t complain because technically I wasn’t promised anything like this, but given that all of the advertisements for this app show tons of things to color, one would get the impression you can color scapes at will if you feel stressed or need a break. Not so, you can only color one sleep scape per night. If you wanted to recolor it you could start it again the next day but again it would be much better if they had something to color during the day. They definitely have sounds and relaxing things to use but no coloring activities except one per night. What I did really enjoy about the nightscape was the relaxing narration and fun facts about objects I was coloring. All in all I think it’s a great app but I would love to see more things to color during the day, and also more choices rather than just the scape of the night or something.

Not enough experience freedom. I loved my initial impression of this app. The first story is very calming is nice. I liked it so much I bought pro and I IMMEDIATELY regretted it. The initial quiz makes it sound like they’ll curate your experience—give you a line up based on your answers. It doesn’t. You’re forced to play them in order regardless of how they pertain to your interests. In the quiz I chose that I liked fairytales, fantasy, etc. typical escapism. I don’t like the real world and prefer to spend my relax time taking my mind off it. The first chapter is a decrepit building in Brooklyn with a nostalgia motif. I have never been there and have no connection to the place. I find cities stressful. The look of the building was old and depressing. Every now and then there were sirens in the background. All of this just amped up my anxiety and actually put me in a much, much worse mood before bed. This really soured my opinion of this app. I sped through it just to get it over with and hopefully get to a better one but, nope. You are locked out of the next one until your next “sleep” 15 hours later. This is a shocking lack of user agency for an app that is $40 a year. If they create a feature where they actually tailor the list to your interests or give you the option to skip then this world be a 5 star. As it is—without these options it’s massively disappointing.

Doesn’t even let me make an account. I literally downloaded this app so that I could write this review. I was online taking the quiz and it told me that there wasn’t a single valid password I could try. I let apple pick my password. I tried a million combinations. It just says “please enter a valid password” every single time. Doesn’t matter what I do. I don’t have a missing confirmation email. I gave up and decided to do this after more than 30 minutes of this nonsense. I took a few screenshots at the end. You have zero listed parameters except that it needs to be 8 characters. Okay. I submitted at least 40 unique 8 character minimum suggestions. Some had punctuation, some not; some had numbers, some not; some had both of these, some neither. There’s nothing that makes you happy. I know this is a super first world problem. But this legitimately made me angry. I’ve reported the link as suspicious to Facebook since it clearly doesn’t work. Fix it or stop predatory targeted advertising (because this makes you seem illegitimate and like you’re mining data). I already have anger issues, partially stemming from neurodivergence, part from a chronic lack of sleep. You played with my time and preyed on my desire to improve certain aspects of my life, like my sleep, which is utterly unacceptable. I hope you figure your stuff

Ok, I actually really like this app 😂. So I tried this app a while back and didn’t really get into it. Recently it came back up in my ads and I decided to give it another shot. I finally went for the free trial and was still the same level of “meh” about it until around the third night. I realized that it actually DID help me get into a more relaxed state. When I was in a “hurry up and get to the point” frame of mind in regards to the narrative, it made me wait. While I was impatient at first it’s grown on me and reminds me to slow down. It’s definitely a pricier app, but will drop down to $20 a year after the trial. Even if I don’t end up playing this beyond a month, it’s more than worth it for the work that the developers obviously put into it. A lot of the time I find myself focusing more on the details that someone included rather than the story being told, and that in and of itself is worth the money. Will I use this app regularly over the next year? Nope. Will I gladly spend $20 to help pay some poor developers working hard to make people happy? Abso-friggin-lutely. Developers: keep up the amazing work y’all are doing! Advertising/customer service: great job reeling me in! Keep it up as well. CEO’s etc: YALL BETTER BE PAYING YOUR PEOPLE WELL! They obviously know their stuff and are DOING A GREAT FRIGGING JOB!

Instantly Hooked. I have trouble turning my mind off when it’s time for bed. I used to end up on social media or playing a challenging game, neither of which prepared me for sleep as much as they just wore on my nerves. I’d also listen to podcasts, mostly of the true crime variety, but then I’d end up with bad dreams. I’d even tried calming sounds instead, but they always left me bored, not sleepy. Enter Loóna. Absolute game changer. Now, I complete a sleepscape before bed, then let the accompanying music play until I fall asleep. My brain isn’t bored, but my nerves aren’t shot either. The sleepscapes are satisfying to complete, but there’s absolutely no rush to them and no real challenge. Just a beautiful scene to bring to life with a guided narration. Not only do I love to play it, my wife loves to listen to me play it as she falls asleep at night. Much more soothing than true crime. Thanks for making this amazing app. The colors and textures are beautiful. The reaction to touch is flawless. The whole thing is just overwhelmingly enjoyable.

Where did my chapters go?. I love this app dearly, and I have had it for as long as it was a free to use. It’s a well made app definitely deserving to be payed for, however, I only wish I could have kept my previously completed chapters after the update. Many others have been able to keep their previous chapters, so I’m uncertain if this is a glitch due to recently having my phone fixed, or, I have not logged on enough to warrant saving the chapters. Either way, it seems all of the preferences and minutes I have logged are still intact. I had chapters one thru four completed. Yet now, I only have story one of chapter one available. If this is read I’d like to know if there is a way to regain those chapters. Otherwise this is one of my favorite apps to use where I look forward to each new story and adventure. Each themed in folk lure, to myths, to memories. All containing their own unique charm. My favorite story was Heart warming Brooklyn fallowed by One night in Paris. Both nostalgia driven.

Loóna has changed my sleep for the better. Update: up until now this app has been free to use. I still stand behind my statements and feel that the quality of this app is absolutely worth paying for. With that being said there is now a $40 annual fee (as of writing this the first year is half price as a promotion.) While I personally can’t afford it right now, I still have access to my past chapters (thank you for that devs.) If you can afford the annual fee, please consider supporting the Loóna team. Before loóna, ASMR was one of the only things that could help me sleep. Loóna has been an amazing new experience for me and has completely changed my sleep routine for the better. I love this app wholeheartedly and I have so much appreciation for the developers, the voice actor/s, and everyone else involved in the making of loóna. Please, if you haven’t already, give this app a chance. If you’re like me and struggle to sleep just give it a try. I’ve found it helps me relax and unwind enough to actually sleep. The sleepscape stories are wonderful in my opinion, and the soundscapes are equally great. So much love and time went into this app and I honestly don’t think I can write in words how much this has helped me. This may not be an app for everyone, and that’s okay, but I’d say download it and find out for yourself. Thank you developers. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I’m already subscribed!. Edit: Still no word from Loona about this problem, and Apple‘s labyrinthine support structure is making the refund request so difficult it’s almost not worth the time to get the $20 back. Why is it difficult, you might wonder? Because Loona cut my access right at the 60 day mark, which is the deadline for requesting a refund on iOS App Store subscriptions. Convenient, eh? And from the sounds of the other reviews, I’m not the only one who’s been robbed in this manner. Someone must take responsibility for this theft of users’ time and money and make things right. Original review: I paid for a year’s subscription to loona less than two months ago via iOS App Store. Tonight, I logged in to help relieve my insomnia, only to find out that I’ve lost my access over 10 months early. All features are locked, leading only to a prompt to repurchase the plan I already have for $10-20 more than I originally paid. When I attempt to restore purchases, there are “no purchases to restore,” despite Apple showing an active subscription through November. I’ve really enjoyed this app, but if you won’t honor my subscription, I certainly won’t be bullied into paying for it twice. Before you suggest I email, please know that I have already done so, and I would ask that you reply to my inquiry and rectify this ASAP.

Poor customer service and a heartless policy. I initially did a trial of this app because I am going through a tough time and having a hard time sleeping. I had a three day trial and I was going to cancel because I couldn’t afford the $60. But I just was looking for an opportunity to get some sleep and relief from my anxiety and stress.I thought I had one more night to cancel and all of a sudden I got the notification that I was charged the $60. I immediately emailed customer service to let them know that I had been charged and I couldn’t afford it and they basically said tough crap they would not refund me. They said that I had used a partial subscription which isn’t true. I sent the email as soon as I got the charge and I had not use the app that day or after it. So disappointing in times like these that a company can’t find it within themselves to help someone out. Especially when $60 is the difference between being able to feed my family and not. In their email they said it pains their heart that they cannot refund digital purchases but I have worked for a company that had digital purchases. So I know that by law there Hass to be a way to refund it and I’ve asked Loóna multiple times to help me out and they refuse.

generally speaking, i love this app. update: why do all the narrators who arw women sound like full robot weirdos and all the men sound like real people? it's beautiful, the music is lovely, and the repetition really does help me sleep. however. there are a few things i don't like: 1. it really is kind of expensive. i only do the sleepscapes and i kind of wish there were membership tiers ie. one amount for JUST sleepscapes and a little more for scapes + the "immersive" stories. 2. there are a lot of sleepscapes where there are a lot of like. single items to color at a time and that really brings me out of it. when the narrator is like, pausing mid-sentence to have me tap a single hat or something it's annoying. 3. i also don't know how much the colors i picked when i got the app (march 2020, i think) matter but like. they sure don't seem more prominent than others. is that still a thing. 4. i like that you can now favorite sleepscapes but i wish i could mark the ones i don't like either so that when it takes forever for new sleepscapes to come out, i don't accidentally start one i don't like. 5. sometimes the way the camera moves is really just awful like having to zoom way in or out to tap something or having to swing it around so that the thing is juuuust barely on screen is very annoying. all that said, i really do like this app and i do feel like it helps a lot, especially because i have adhd. thanks!

Cannot Choose Narrator - Limited Sleepscapes. So I rarely give reviews, but I think this app has real potential and could be a proper good tool for insomnia. I would give this five stars with a few simple changes. First of all, offer a female and male narrator for every sleepscape. Many people with insomnia have underlying trauma and hearing one voice or another can cause more anxiety or trauma attacks and make them delete this app immediately. Secondly, you can’t skip the first sleepscape. This wouldn’t be a big issue if there was also a female narrator available, however when paying monthly or yearly for something you shouldn’t have to level up like a game. This is supposed to be a tool to assist with lowering anxiety and worry and helping people to sleep. Also, having to zoom in and out increases our brain activity which can cause us to be more awake. This is a minor thing if working on an iPad but on a phone it’s a bit of a problem. With these bugs fixed, I’d retry it as I do think this has real potential - which is why I’m being very critical. In order to work for people with real insomnia and bad insomnia at that, it has to be fine tuned.

Loóna is a fantastic app for anyone looking for help with sleep, relaxation, or winding down.. I’ve struggled with being able to fall asleep in the past and no matter what trick I used, I couldn’t fall asleep. Loóna has fixed that. On night where I struggle, I know I can turn to my sleepscapes to give me something other than my thoughts to focus on and guide me to sleep. The membership price is a bit hefty, but it has been worth it to support a young app that is rapidly making changes to improve the experience and get my sleep back. There are bugs, and some of them are pretty severe, but the creators are often making changes and working with users to figure things out to make the best experience. They interact with users on Facebook to poll them for new ideas or to understand their usage of the current tool, which is highly appreciated. I highly recommend giving this a try. Despite its minor issues, there’s a reason why the rating for this app as I write this is as high as it is.

PLEASE don’t make me start over.... First of all, I gotta say I love the app. The narration is so soothing and the guided coloring really helps me slow down. I do have one main concern though about the last update: I had caught up with all of the sleepscapes before the update, but now I have to go through all of them again in order to play chapter 4. Lots of the comments say they like replaying chapters, but for me it gets a bit tedious. PLEASE make it so we don’t have to start again from the beginning every time there’s an update. Oh and another smaller suggestion. I sometimes fall asleep in the middle of a sleepscape, which I would assume is supposed to be a good thing. But because of how the timer works, that means I only get to complete the last part of a sleepscape (usually only a couple minutes, plus, as I mentioned before, replaying the sleepscape doesn’t work for me) and I have to wait until the next night to actually get to the next installment. I get why the timer is there, but it feels almost like a punishment for letting the app do its job. Maybe some kind of idle timer would be helpful? Like if we had the app open for a while but with no activity, a pop up could come up with sort of a “are you still there” notification? Just a suggestion! —Tiffany

Best sleep app I’ve found. I have chronic pain paired with anxiety… both of which get worse at night and mess with my sleep. I saw an ad for Loóna on Facebook and decided to try it for a week expecting to cancel after the free trial. I definitely did NOT cancel. It has “Escapes” that they tell you are best to do about an hour before you’d like to go to bed and it’s been immensely helpful at winding me down. The escapes have an amazing balance because they’re slightly interactive to keep you engaged, but not so boring that your mind begins to wander. It has made a significant difference in my bedtime routine and overall sleep quality. Update: It’s been a few months since I first downloaded Loóna. While my sleep isn’t perfect, my new bedtime routine has stuck and my sleep has still greatly improved since before using the app. I was worried that I may get through a lot of the content and lose interest, but the developers are great about adding new content/features on a regular basis without getting rid of my favorite go-tos.

Not enough of a trial..... of what they want you to pay for a year of! I’m sure one of their people will reply saying I am incorrect like they are doing for every other bad review buuuut... Unless you choose to subscribe and pay the full amount, you will not actually get any sort of trial during the time period they keep bringing up. I was allowed to do only one activity on the first day of my trial which was coloring in this dragon’s shrine thing. Not one single activity was available to me after that first one, durinf the entirety of the free trial. That first activity itself was boring and tedious but I wouldn’t say it made me tired or relaxed. I am sure the experience would be different from person to person, so you might enjoy it! I personally feel that I would need to do at least two activities before being able to decide if I wanted to pay for the subscription. At this point, the single activity didn’t pull me in at all so I won’t be subscribing. If their playlists and little stories that you can listen to quite a few of during the trial actually interest/relax you then I could see it being worth the price. Personally if I want to listen to someone read me a story, I will go into my audible account and fall asleep that way. Add more activities to the multi day trial... Like actually the same amount as nights in the trial lol and available without paying for the subscription first! The you might have another customer!

Great, but wish I had more control. UPDATE: in their most recent updates/releases, I see I’m now able to choose whichever sleepscape I want which is a massive improvement, and so I’ve updated my rating to 5. This app is wonderful and helps me sleep every night. Highly recommend. I really love this app - it 100% helps me fall asleep. It’s beautiful, and very relaxing with the colors and calming narration. My one qualm about it that will probably have me not continue my subscription is that for the price, I’d really like to be able to choose which sleepscape I do from a library, instead of being forced onto a set path in which I cannot move forward unless I complete the one I’m uninterested in. Sometimes I have to begrudgingly complete a sleepscape that doesn’t really resonate with me just to get to the next one the following night. Please, please consider changing this feature. There are enough reviews on here of people frustrated with this, that it seems to be an issue for a lot of people that would make a lot of users happy if it was changed.

Back to being helpful. I had previously written a pretty negative review about this app because they took something away that had really helped me. Thankfully, they added it back! I will now be continuing to use this app to help me sleep. I suffer from anxiety disorder and sometimes I feel depressed, but this app really helped me sleep. I used to suffer terrible sleep, which made me feel sick in the morning. I had tried many other apps like this, but none helped. Then I found Loóna, and decided to try it out. I really liked it, and actually got some sleep. I got the yearly subscription to the app, and continued to get better sleep. Though this app may cost money for the subscription, I recommend it for people who have trouble sleeping like I do. I know this was long, so thanks for staying to read it all. I hope if you get this app, you get better sleep too, or if you just need it relax after a stressful day. If it’s not right for you, I’m sure you will one day find something for you.

Great concept ruined by tacky cash grabs. You can only play one scene per night even with the paid version, and they’re pretty short. The only reason for this is to try to get you to stay a subscriber for as long as possible by denying you reasonable access to the content you’re paying for. Since they are so short it’s unlikely you’ll feel ready to sleep after just one, and since you’re unable to do another one it’s pretty useless as a sleep app. So you’re paying for content at $13 a month but you can only access a few minutes worth per night and then get locked out of the next scenes for 18 hours. Writing this at 2:30 AM so clearly doesn’t work. It implies that you get full access by paying by putting little lock icons on the buttons, so I paid but all that does it make the lock icon go away. If you click on it after paying it still says you’re locked out for 18 hours. On top of that it says 7 days free if you go with the more expensive option followed by cancel anytime, but it IS NOT a trial! They charge you immediately and just knock a few cents off the monthly price for the 7 days. They know what they’re implying. DON’T BUY IT. Tacky and deceitful.

Could be perfect. I absolutely adore this app. It helps me fall asleep faster and I actually use it to help manage moments of high reactivity alongside my cbt therapy. BUT! I would so so so so appreciate having the narrator identified before I spend all the time loading a sleepscape. There is only one voice I can listen to (the others drive me insane/do not help calm me: personal preference, whatever) and I’ve loaded a ton of them hoping it’s his voice only to exit as soon as it’s loaded and realize it’s not. Beyond that, and in an ideal world, each narrator can do all the episodes so you can choose one “guide” of sorts so that you can enjoy more episodes. I have no doubt I’m not the only one with a narrator preference and therefore limited access to all the sleepscapes. Beyond that, everything in this app takes a ton of time to download. Again, frustrating when you’re hoping for one voice, but even the music experiences this issue. Love it otherwise but could use improvement and I hope they get there.

Awesome ADHD tool!. I have ADHD and struggle with falling asleep. Before I was diagnosed my brain would not stop working at night; constant thoughts. Once I was diagnosed and started taking medications, my intrusive thoughts disappeared BUT trying out different stimulants until I found the right one was a tough time. No more active brain at night, instead I just didn’t feel sleepy. So I re-downloaded this app and tried it again. I now drink Sleepy Tea, and do relaxing yoga 1 hour before bed to get my body relaxed. Then I spend the next 30 minutes using this app with a wireless headband I bought online that has speakers built in. This app is like a guided meditation but also lets the user get hands on and use their fine motor skills. I personally need stimulation to relax; regular guided meditations just don’t do it for me…my brain can never stay on topic. But this app is the GOAT. The sleep scapes are beautiful, and I LOVE the mans voice over. There are nights where I can’t even finish the full 25-30 minute sleep scape and I have to switch to one of the playlists they offer. I bought the yearly subscription and it was worth every penny.

I tried to like it.... I really wanted to like this app. Coming out of the gate, it was extremely slow and boring and yes, that will put you to sleep but do you really want to pay $40 to be bored to sleep? It is the equivalent of an audio book narration being set to half speed (that you can’t speed up), and combined with a coloring game. Because I had already spent the money, I was trying to make the best of it, so I adapted. But then two months into the app it started getting laggy and wouldn’t load or would crash once it did finally load. I contacted loóna asking for a refund or for someone to fix the app. I got an email back saying that they were looking into it and then nothing. It’s been about three weeks and I still haven’t heard anything. I deleted and reloaded the app, hoping that would work but it didn’t. Instead, it has forced me to start all over and to have to replay the same boring loóna scapes that I’ve already done once and would never want to have to repeat. The only thing there was to look forward to in this app is that you get a new scene every day - well, until you start getting into the seasonal changes and then you’re doing the same recycled scenes with snow and Christmas decorations. The graphics are nice, I’ll give them that, but I spent way too much money on the app for that kind of result.

Hopes crushed. I downloaded this app a while ago to help with my anxiety. I redownloaded recently to help myself relax and self regulate after parenting my toddler and working with toddlers all day as an early childhood educator (not an easy combo). I remembered this as a phenomenal app, beautifully done, and I had been pleased that the developers would at least let non-members progress chronologically through the sleepscapes as we completed them, even if we couldn’t pick and choose or have many extra features. When I redownloaded it, I was totally dismayed to find that even that’s gone! It seems like EVERYTHING is locked and only available to paying members. I’m sure the devs don’t care about this because they’re making a buck, but I really believed in this app and I feel betrayed and disappointed. Subscription culture is destroying the happiness of anyone who has to choose between putting food on the table or gas in their car. I’m not saying make it free—the sleepscapes are lovely and the artists put a ton of work into them that deserves recognition and an income…but really, to take away features you were already letting people use? That’s so disrespectful. Goodbye, Loóna. I’ll find something else to fill the memory space on my phone. 👋🏼

I can’t begin to say how much this app has done for me. I work nights. I used to be able to get home by somewhere between 2:30 and 3:00 AMand get to sleep fairly quickly. Not anymore. For months now I have remained awake in my bed until well past sunrise. Not just awake but completely wide awake. I have been sleep deprived for so long that lack of slumber was sucking the joy out of everything I did, and my creative juices had come to a full and immovable stop. Then I tried Loona. The first night I visited the Dragon Shrine and I think there were stories to listen to as well. I don’t remember the stories I remember falling asleep so quickly and sleeping soundly. Night two I visited the Luminous Realm. Night three was Heartwarming Brooklyn. Wow. Each night I now look forward to bedtime - for the wonderful adventures and the promise of slumber. Your narrator are phenomenal, your stories are fantastic, and your app has given me back my life, my creativity and joy. Thank you.

Paywall induced insomnia. I had been seeing ads for Loóna fairly regularly on Instagram stories, and when I realized I was looking for a calming puzzle to play while getting ready for bed, I decided to give it a try. The app itself is beautiful. The modeling of the dragon shrine is so smooth and meticulously detailed, and the lighting is warm and calming; I thoroughly enjoyed the music matching the scene, that I could continue listening when I was done with the puzzle, and even that I could set a nightly reminder based on when I usually woke up. So I finished the first puzzle and wasn’t quite ready for bed, I decided to do another...oh, it’s locked. Okay, I figured it was just one a night for free, and that if I paid for plus, I could unlock it all instantly. At least, that’s what I thought the ad for loóna plus was implying, it wasn’t really clear on what content was hidden behind the paywall. Fast forward about 24 hours. I get my push notification that it’s time to unwind; I get myself all comfortable in bed after a stressful day and I’m excited to see what this new sleepscape will look like. But? It says it’s not available? My push notification said it was there but...it’s locked. One. You can do a single puzzle for free. I guess a well design app comes with premium pricing. No, I’m really not interested in a free trial, as I don’t anticipate paying beyond that. A little more transparency up front would have been lovely.

Great for relaxation, but.... First off- this is awesome! I did an episode after a grueling, stress filled day and it calmed me down and helped me come back to the world. Honestly, this is so cool. The graphics and colors are beautiful and the narration is soothing. 5 stars is well earned. Two downsides: first, everything is aimed at sleep. I’d love there to be a calm phase where sleep isn’t the goal. There are questions at the beginning of what you want to achieve, and I didn’t mark sleep, yet sleep goals are all that were offered. Granted- I only did the free episode. It’s possible there are more features available after subscribing? Second- I have a different app for sleep that works well for me. I was hoping to try a few episodes before deciding whether or not this was for me. Unfortunately, only one episode is available without subscribing and that just isn’t enough to persuade me to drop that much money. Maybe open up 3 or 4 episodes for free so people have a chance to see if it works for them. I’d have no problem subscribing to something long term if it worked for me. :-)

To overpriced. Hey so the reason I am giving this a three star rating is because the first night I used this it did help me sleep and I can still listen to the sounds however to do the interactive nightly sleepscapes you have to pay a lot of money, now you may say oh she is just 12 so she has no concept of money, but my family struggles with money a bit, not as bad as it could be but not great either, so I actually have a really good concept of money. And I know that you guys have to make money without ads but you would probably make more money if you lowered the subscription price allowing more people to be able to afford your app. See the sleepscapes, they helped me one night, so I undownloaded then redownloaded and tried again another night, every night I got good sleep so I tried just the playlists but they did not help, I have fairly bad insomnia so I have tried other apps, but none worked as well as yours but my whole family is behind me on this, ITS NOT WORTH THE MONEY. Please lower the price so that I can sleep, I believe more people would be able to afford the subscription which means in reality you would make the same amount OR MORE!!!😀 So please Lower the price.

Beautiful and Relaxing. Chapter 6 has been released! I click on it and it tells me to complete Chapter 4. I’ve already completed Chapter 4 and Chapter 5. This app is RIDICULOUS. Don’t waste your money! Update: After posting this review, they reached out to me. Asked me for information, which I provided. I did purchase the subscription. The issue still hasn’t been resolved. I just finished Chapter 5. Chapter 6 is “coming soon”. So I paid for a year but now I have to wait for the next chapter and I haven’t even had this app for a month. This app truly helps this insomniac to sleep. The images, the soothing voices all work to relax me and help me fall asleep. I look forward to the evening’s next sleepscape. It really helps with my anxiety at night. I took off two stars because I was using the app on my iPad when it suddenly stopped working. I’ve contacted the developers twice and haven’t received a response. I was planning on purchasing a yearly subscription. I have handoff synced with my iPhone and iPad and signed into Loóna with my Apple ID. It should work on my iPad but it doesn’t. Due to my vision, I’m not willing to use it on my iPhone screen. I finally found an app that helps me and due to a glitch it’s useless to me. I’m pretty sad about that!

My 2nd Review.. As I stated previously in my first review, I am recovering from my near fatal massive stroke that took place just about a year ago on December 19, 2022. I’ve been through so much trauma and chaos that my life has literally been flipped, upside down and then thrown back in the crowd to deal with it head on. It has been a really difficult time for me however, as I stated previously, this app has once again help me reduce my stress And anxiety. I do have one suggestion. Which is I am from the 80s that’s what I was born, 1980, so anything to do with things that took place in the 80s always seems to calm me down. as for example, I can’t recall the exact name of the stories that I listen to on this app, but it was in regards to a boy named, “Matt” which I found to be really relatable. Since that is also my name I would really love to see more stories like those pertaining to things that took place in the 80s such as VHS tapes and the sounds that they make of a VCR going in and out of the VCR and tape players as in cassette tapes. also the sound of rain and a fan I find to be very soothing and relaxing so if that could be worked into a story, somehow, that would be amazing. As well as something to do with the sounds of a incoming snowstorm with light winds as the snow blows and falls down while you can hear the sound of kids playing in the background or stuff like that just for example I’m not really sure how that would work. Just an idea.

Amazing, worth the price. This app is one of the best non medication tools I’ve ever found for falling asleep, so it’s 100% worth the subscription price. The sleepscapes are gorgeous, imaginative, and relaxing. I seriously look forward to getting in bed and starting my sleepscape every night. I would recommend that anyone who has trouble winding down give it a try and see if it works for you! My only issue is that there just isn’t that much content on the app at this point. If I use this app every night (which I do because it’s amazing), there are just over a month’s worth of sleepscapes before I have to start redoing the ones I’ve already done. There are soundscapes and stories on the app as well, but I feel like other apps have those things and the sleepscapes are what make Loóna unique. This is not necessarily a negative since I know it must be time consuming to create the sleepscapes compared to other types of content, and I wouldn’t want the quality to suffer in the name of releasing them faster. Just something to keep in mind in case you get addicted like me - it’s well worth the price as is, but I hope as the developers gain more resources they can release sleepscapes a little faster.

could use some changes... ok so i had this app a while back and did two sleepscapes. that was back when this app was brand new. since then, i have just redownloaded it because i have a mental disability and i desperately need sleep. i don’t know if it were a dream, but i could’ve sworn there was a point where there were more sleepscapes that were free. and i understand that people have to make money, but it’s upsetting that i am having to pay for calmer sleep. maybe you could give us one sleepscape and on soundscape a night, and then we have to wait a day for the next one? i don’t know. i know of people who can’t afford to pay that. and yes, i realize it’s a small fee, but it’s still a thing. i really loved this app (and i believe at one point there WAS a feature where you waited). and maybe you could keep some stories being paid for? i just know that a lot of people may prefer active stuff. and maybe you could have ads throughout each sleepscape? i know people don’t LOVE ads (or even like them) but it could be better than paying. i’m so sorry if that sounds rude!

Update - Customer Service Made it Right. *update - Loona developers responded to this review and made it right! I got all the sleepscapes back and the freedom to choose. Thank you!! I’ve been a Loona member for years. I was at the point where I had done every sleepscape and was eagerly awaiting new ones. Then one day POOF an update and I now I have been LOCKED out of everything until I go on their ridiculous one by one star path. I am so upset that I am no longer free to choose the sleepscapes that work best for me and think this is a ridiculous misuse of the app considering how it used to be. I have already done them all so to force me to redo each one, one by one, according to how they now say I should progress through them is awful. I also tried to provide feedback through the company site and never received any single response whatsoever. The decision to restrict everything in the update was a massive disappointment for those of us who have been longtime paid subscribers. To me, this means they don’t care about their paid users and just want your money. Beware.

The Best Sleep App Ever!. This is awesome. I enjoy the immersive stories and coloring to bring the story alive. Each night I can’t wait to open up this app! I fall asleep real fast with this app. It’s funny. Once, I opened the app and loaded a sleepscape and was asleep before it even started! I actually think about it during the day an anticipate the next immersive story. I have favorites as well that I never thought I’d like! I play these over and over again! There are so many immersive stories I have the app for several months now and still haven’t completed them all. More stories get loaded regularly so your never without a sleepscape! You can choose to color a sleepscape with story or a story without coloring and also just music or sounds from the sleepscape. I love it all. If I don’t want to do the sleepscape. I either choose the immersive story alone or one of the music or sounds. I just stuck in my ear buds and listen. But don’t get me wrong… the sleepscape’s are the best. You have simply got to try this app out! It’s really hard to visualize this without trying it. Yes! I do pay for it! It’s that good! And I don’t pay for apps often at all! You will be missing out if you don’t try it our fully! I did the Dragon Shine (free one-great sleepscape by the way but once I payed for the app- I never went back to the dragon shrine! And I LOVED the dragon shrine!) there’s is just so much to EXPLORE!

Why does it actually make me sleepy. I love this app so much. The sleepscapes are so creative and beautiful. The narration is perfect for clearing your mind and focusing on something mindless and easy. The main reason I love it is because it puts me to sleep like a baby. I like many others have insomnia and it usually takes me a while to fall asleep because my mind is all over the place. Loóna is perfect for falling asleep because it’s so mindless and all you do is tap and read. Half the time I can’t even finish a whole sleepscape because it puts me to sleep almost immediately. Even when Im not tired at all as soon as I start a sleepscape my mind calms down and goes into sleeping baby mode 😭. Not only that but the sleepscapes are so pretty, especially the ones with water and nature. The stories are easy to follow and the entire app is just a blessing. I’ve been using it for probably 2 years now and it’s my favorite app to wind down with.

False advertising.. Another “free” app that ropes you into downloading it and giving information only to pull the rug out from under you by offering you a 7 day free trial followed by a subscription contract. Give all of these crooked criminal apps 1 star ratings until they put them in the paid categories where they belong. I’m certain the artists and actors deserve to get paid for their work. I’m guessing a lot of them have no interest in luring, tricking, and scamming users, though. I thought I might get a good night’s sleep tonight. I am dying of terminal cancer. I set up my profile thinking this might actually be genuinely relaxing. Then I got slapped with the bill. If you are reading this and had anything to do with this scam, you have just been cursed by a gypsy. Your hair and teeth will soon fall out and tragedy will dog your every step. Demons will stalk your mirrors. Every time you look at yourself you will think of your imminent doom. 💀 The only way to break the curse is to place the app where it belongs and stop lying to customers. If you didn’t control the placement of this app, you are safe and sound and will have good luck for the next 24 hours. I have spoken.🧞‍♀️

Love the stories. I’ll start by saying I do really like this app, a lot. The narrators are wonderful and have such hypnotic voices. The stories are magical and imaginative, and the pictures are really beautiful. I do wish that there was more user control over what content you have available to you, especially when paying for the app. I agree that the purpose (I’ve read the Loóna responses to feedback reviews) is not blow through content each night. However, there are some stories that I just REALLY don’t connect with and it’s a bit irritating to have to complete the story in order to make it to the next “chapter”... again, especially on an app you pay for. The user should have the ability to skip a chapter if they so choose. I have several times exited a story only to have to “deal with it” another night, which doesn’t seem like the intent for the app. It would be wonderful to be able to skip the stories you don’t connect with and move on to engage with the stories you do. Again I’m fine with just having the ability to complete only one story a night, but I’d like a say in what that one story is. That’s all, just some feedback!!!! Thanks!!

Great app. Firstly, I want to make a comment about people leaving reviews questioning and complaining that they have to pay for this app.. look at how much time and effort has been spent by the creators to make such a beautiful app. You don’t think they should be paid for their work?! How would you like to put hundreds of hours in at work only to have your boss to say you’ve done a great job but they’re not going to pay you a cent for it. Bet you wouldn’t be too happy. Now that I have that off my chest - I seem to be having an issue since today’s update that my Chapter 4 Episode 3 isn’t loading past 40%. I’ve restarted the app several times without luck :( will there be another patch coming soon? Keep up the great hard work!!

I love it!. I really like being told stories but I would love the option to be able to find stories based on voice. So if I could select particular voices and find stories/escapes that way it would be SUPER nice, because sometimes I’m in the mood to listen to a certain voice and having to sort through is a little bit annoying

Beautifully immersive, with soothing narration. I tried this app for the first time today, needing to lift myself up and find motivation. I completed a session, and now feel calm, hopeful, and positive 🌸 The session was well designed and well thought out. I hadn’t planned on purchasing this app, but my experience has changed my mind 🙏🏼 I’m looking forward to exploring more.

Stunning sleepscapes. You can tell that a lot of work, imagination and artistry has gone into these sleepscapes. Some are more immersive and better than others, but this app is well worth the money overall! I never thought interacting with my phone in bed could be relaxing, but using this app definitely helps my sleep. My only tiny bit of feedback is the woman with the fake British accent - I find her voice a little jarring because it sounds forced. Or perhaps she just has an unusual hybrid accent. 😆 Thank you, Loóna, for providing such a magical way to fall asleep!

Beautiful & enchantingly dreamy. The colours, sounds, music and stories are so relaxing and calming. I suffer from very bad anxiety and this app has truly helped me sleep and unwind from the reality of life that can be overwhelming at times. These guys have captured the dreamy like imagination and storey telling you feel as a child, magical and visually appealing, you can tell a lot of work was put into this app happy to pay for the quality and details. THANK you! I love the timer you can put on the sleepscape music to, it’s perfect to drift off to sleep without having to worry to turn it off. The Native American Indian music and nature sounds are my favourite please add more! Love your work 👌🏼

Description is a bit misleading. I was considering subscribing to this app, the guided sleepscapes are very relaxing and were helping me (a lifelong insomniac) to fall asleep at night. I would 100% pay for that. The Intro episodes were awesome, but since starting Chapter 1, no more guidance/narrator as is mentioned in the description. Why is this? Honestly I’m glad I found this app during the April free period because I would have been very disappointed to pay for something that doesn’t come as described :( Is the narrator coming back or am I doomed to repeat the intro episodes over and over and over forever?

Free trail was fake. I couldn’t access a free trial. Ended up accidentally clicking the button to pay for it. Now left with no money until next week. Trail was meant to be a week according to the ad. I haven’t enjoyed this app at all thought because I’ve paid for it I may as well use it. I’m not enjoying the “episodes” that there are. I would like to have a choice each night rather then getting 1 that I don’t care for the story. Also if you exit out of the story before the end of it (you can’t skip ahead) you don’t get one the next night even if there’s only 2% left of the previous story. So disappointed I’ve spent so much money on something I’m not going to use because I hit the wrong button and wasn’t aware there was no free trail.

Thank you. I was tagged on Facebook to have a look at your site as I suffer from Fibromyalgia and chronic nerve pain. I have just completed the Dragon Temple and I cannot thank you enough. The voice that was used to narrate this soundscape and guide through the colouring of the dragon temple was Sublime, and for at least the last 15 minutes or so I was engrossed and not thinking about my pain. I will be singing your praises on my own social media - Thank you, thank you, thank you 😊 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Unauthorised charge for premium access (which I do not have access to anyway!). I downloaded loóna and enjoyed the sound/music features. I had the free trial. However, I cancelled my free trial halfway through the 7 days and was notified my premium access would end as a result. However, today I was charged a year-long membership fee without consent. I have requested a refund. Despite being charged for ‘loóna plus’ features, I don’t even have access to the premium content on the app, which further confirms I was wrongfully charged. I am a young teacher, I can’t afford this payment right now with cost of living. Aside from that, I didn’t consent to the payment in the first place! Please help me loóna, I’m really concerned and anxious over this unauthorised payment taken from my account!

Unauthorised charge. This app charged me outside of the Apple ID subscriptions and directly through my bank account. There was also no mention/confirmation that I’d been charged. This was unauthorised, and the app locks you in once you have signed up for a “free” 7 day trial. This is very dishonest and this process is wrong, charging a year long membership without consent. I cannot afford this with the cost of living, I have requested a refund. There is no reason to have hidden charges and be dishonest. Please help me loóna, I am super anxious & concerned over the unauthorised payment from my bank account!

Great mindfulness for the distracted mind. I’ve been meaning to do more “mindfulness” exercises but have never been able to stick to guided spoken ones before. I find loóna to be a great “mindfulness lite”! My favourite sleepscapes so far were the dreamworld chapters - I’d love more like these were each sleepscape is a continuation of the story from the preceding one. It made me look forward to going to bed so I can see what happens next!

What is this new update?. The format for this new update looks as though it caters more to children than everyone. What I liked about Luna before was being able to choose any sleep scape rather than being forced to do them in order. The update before had clear places for sleepscapes, audio stories and music. Now it’s terrible. Please bring bag the freedom of the old Luna. The new design for the lumos doesn’t look as great as the original lumos did.

Mind blowing graphics. As I’m in impatient person I did find it hard to slow down but as the graphics are so amazing I just wanted to rush through it and see the dragon alive. Being able to zoom in zoom out rotate look at it from any degree and it all move so seamlessly and beautifully I just couldn’t wait to be finished to see it all together. This really is a app that needs to be experienced. And even though it’s only 841 in the morning this app has done what it said it would day and I think it might be time to take a nap. Looking forward to trying it again tonight when I do want to go to sleep LOL.

End of the line. I’ve been using Loóna for the last two or so years. It’s a wonderful concept, it really does help and I’ve enjoyed it a lot, but my subscription expires next month and I won’t be renewing it. This is because I’m tired of doing the same sleepscapes over and over! Although the promise is “new sleepscapes added every month”, the reality is that we can go months on end before one or two new stories are added. And, as the sleepscapes are the only thing I’m interested in using, I really can’t justify the expense of continuing my subscription when I’m getting little to no new content. Thanks for the great work, team. It’s been fun.

It’s the best app. Omg, I love this app!! I just love the narration of it, everything is beautiful. This is totally worth it if you’re having trouble with sleeping or just need to relax. I got the year subscription so I don’t have to worry about it. Why worry about the cost of the app? If you really want it, just do it!! It will be the best decision you make. No downside for me, have no problems with it at all!! For people who are complaining about how you can’t unlock the next chapter, you have to wait 24 hours for the next chapter, it’s one story a night. You can’t skip any chapters, you have to go through one chapter at a time, otherwise you won’t enjoy it. Lastly, when you update it next, make sure we don’t have to start at the beginning, because that will be annoying, other than that, love it!! Shame you can’t get celebrities to do voices on there like Sir Ian mckellan, Morgan Freeman, Patrick Stewart, I reckon they would be phenomenal to hear and soothing. Keep up the great work!! 😁😁😁😁 Update: the app crashes on me every time I try to open a story and colour. I want to do a story and I can’t. Please fix it.

Best app out there. Hi, I’m Ellia and if your reading this I want you to know that ever since I was a toddler I had sooo much trouble sleeping, I have NEVER received the full hours of sleep without going to bed late and then sleeping in... It’s not because I don’t want to or because it’s a habit/routine, it’s because I simply can not, I have ADHD, and PTSD/separation anxiety so it’s very hard for me to take my mind of everything and sleep; but this app right here. This app has changed. My. Life. I have always loved colouring pages and things like that but because of my ADHD I loose my focus and get bored but because this also tells a story it keeps me interested but in a way that helps me sleep.... I would 100% recommend this app I love it so much

Pros and cons (updated review). Beautiful graphics, design, user experience, animation, audio etc. Really enjoy the immersive storytelling experience. Overall, Loona helps calm me before bed, especially when I’m experiencing overwhelm or anxiety. The issue I have isn’t the cost - I think it’s worth it when you consider the labour involved in making it, esp with them releasing new monthly sleepscapes. It’s the colonial gaze inherent within: the ‘age of discovery’ sleepscape romanticises cook’s “discovery” of Australia and Aoteroa, even waving the flag of colombus and glorifying the dispossession of numerous lands and people under spanish colonialism. A few sleepscapes also engage with East Asia as a monolith, mixing up traditions and beliefs in a mishmash of Orientalist fantasies. Even the ‘in the wilderness’ sleepscape feels a bit off, with the voiceover characterised as a tourist from the global north capitalising off the ‘generosity’ of its fictionalised locals - when it would have been so much more interesting to hear it from a true local experience. This type of positioning in some sleepscapes has the complete opposite effect of calming me. I MUCH prefer sleepscapes which steer clearer of this. To clarify, it’s nice to see representations of various cultures - and yes, the graphics are nice, but would be good if they were being presented from more informed, nuanced perspectives.

About your app loona. Dear developers, this is an amazing app! But the really disappointing bit, is that to colour any of the pictures, you have to pay real money. That might be fine for some people, but why can’t you make it all for free but you still get paid by all the people who play it? Please make more stuff free so that I can download the app again and colour as many pictures as a would like without having to pay. Thank you and hopefully you have an idea to fix this. :) Ps. Maybe you could only make a certain amount of pictures cost money and buy most of them are free…?

Captivating and holds your focus. I have complex PTSD and anxiety. There are very few things in this world that hold my attention enough to distract me away from the noise in my head, and this app truely kills the noise in my head and calms me. Not only do I use it at night but also in the mornings to calm my mind for the day. Huge well done! Would be amazing for children with issues focusing and calming down.

Really good app, however. When I downloaded this app, I thought that I had finally found something to help with my sleeping problems that came about after my father passed. It was really good and I feel like I had had that first good sleep in months. But when I went to use it again tonight, I saw that it was trying to make me pay for another sleepscape, which I found incredibly frustrating. So anyway, I decided to go and pay for the app because it was something that actually worked with me, and as I went to go pay, I saw that the price was $80. Like, come on. This means that I will be returning to my roughly 2 hours of sleep per-night. Besides that it is a fantastic app and I would highly recommend to anyone willing to try for a night. Hoping that pricing is fixed or at least lowered. Thanks…

A deep sense of connectedness. Loona connects on a deep level, with extremely well crafted story telling by triggering collective memory through sound and image. I’ve never used anything quite like it and am amazed every time I use it. In an era where tech companies shortcut quality to maximise profits, Loona clearly focuses on high quality experiences. I experience Loona, feel connected to humanity and then I sleep well. One of the few apps I don’t begrudgingly pay for!

Unauthorised Charge. This app charged me outside of the Apple ID transactions/subscriptions, and directly through my bank which my debit card is linked to. Completely an unauthorised transaction, there was also no mention or confirmation once the charge was made. This was done upon installation of the app, regardless of the “7 day free trial” which it obviously isn’t. This means trying to trace a charge back through Apple/The App Store is problematic as the charge is no longer linked to your Apple ID and directly from your bank. Super dodgy, and dishonest. For that reason I am deleting this app and would not recommend it to anyone. There is never a reason to have hidden charges. It immediately makes you doubt/question the trustworthiness of the company regardless of the service they are promising.

Loóna is an absolute scam with terrible customer service. For a relaxation app this has caused A LOT of anxiety. I was charged twice for a loóna subscription that I cancelled earlier this year before the free trial ended, but I was signed up for a subscription to bill me every quarter for $60 US ($98 AUD)!!! (It has charged me twice now without my permission). They made it incredibly confusing to cancel when I deleted the app back in April. I have contacted their customer service twice but they continue to send a generic response about their terms of service. This is really distressing and a complete waste of money when I literally used the app one time

Scam app. Cancelled during the trial period, however still got charged $86 usd!!! I didn’t authorise this payment and when I tried to contact loona for support I was told tough luck, no refunds. No acknowledgement that they stuffed up, I successfully canceled via the app and then went to their website to confirm. I even had the successfully unsubscribed confirmation screen! I cancelled during the trial as I didn’t find it worth it. If I had known it was a scam I would’ve never downloaded it. Instead of helping me with of anxiety and sleep this has done the complete opposite. Would not recommend. Unless you like throwing money away. So much for customer support -_-

Most Incredible Ideas and Collaborators. Thank for the development of this brilliant app and all those who are involved for creating, engaging, inspiring and captivating dream stories, music, picture designs and colour. My nightly routine, I get to about 60% through the story and I can feel my body starting to drift into the worlds that is created. I enjoy the male voice, as he feels like an old friend. Wonderful effort!! I tell others about your app and how it helps me drift into different worlds. Thank you for dreamscape possible. Xx

Love the app but not the update!. Since the new update I’ve lost my favourites playlist - and when I add them back again it won’t save in the new ‘Liked’ section Also it will only play one song at a time, it just repeats until the timer goes out, doesn’t move onto the next song at all. And the World Albums have disappeared. They were a fantastic feature - please return them

Lovely graphics/soundscapes but buggy!. Lovely graphics and soundscapes, really impressive work. I seem to keep getting forced to do the same sleepscapes a second time though and this is extremely irritating and frustrating - the last feeling I want to be having when I’m wanting to get into sleep mode. Please for the love of god can you fix this? 😫 I can’t do another sleepscape a second time in a row. If impossible to store where we’re up to reliably, maybe you just need to let us skip ahead till you can figure it out.

Love it - very different to other “sleep” apps. Interesting 3D sleepscapes to colour in with a guide and relaxing music. Always helps me fall asleep. You can keep the music going after you’ve finished the colouring as you drift off. I’d highly recommend it. Just watch out if you’re a shift worker - the sleepscapes are only available once a night! No use to you if you change your hours of sleep - this would be my only criticism. It is very expensive compared to other apps and I’d expect to be able to access more than one sleepscape every 24 hrs when I’m paying so much.

Doesn’t tell you it’s a subscription based app. I downloaded this thinking it’d be nice to do while winding down. Really liked the first night and then get to the second to find I need either a free trial or fork out heaps of money to continue and there isn’t a free version. 100% can see why this costs money, a lot of effort has gone into it, but there was no warning prior to downloading it, and I, like I’m sure many others are, am not in a position to be able to fork out that much money for something like that right now.

Love it! But have a couple suggestions. I loved Loóna when I first downloaded the app. My favourite part about it was the story-telling that would continue over the first bunch of sleepscapes (I believe the chapter was called ‘in to the dreamworld’ or something similar). I was disappointed to find out that the story didn’t continue as I expected, and that each night from then on would be a standalone episode. I find it harder to engage with it (and not find myself distracted) when there’s a more significant story threading through the nights. The other thing I haven’t loved is some of the voices. I find there is the main male voice that I find calming, and the female voice that is the second-most used is good as well. But every once and a while there is a different voice and it really throws me off. I think this is because I imagine the one voice being the person telling me personal stories and when it’s someone else then it doesn’t put me in the same mindset. The concept of Loóna is great, I love the little loóna characters and the dreamy/magical style of everything. I only write the rest because I think they could be easy enough fixes and would make it way better.

Fantastic. My daughter had medical problems and autism and has been having problems sleeping for years and has to have meds to help her as she don’t produce natural melontion she is 14yrs old. We got this app this week and she absolutely loves it , it’s been helping her fall asleep once she has done the pictures she listens to the story’s . Yes I have to pay but it’s totally worth it . It may and may not work for all but I’m glad it worked for us

Misleading. I signed up for a trial however there were multiple prompts to sign up for their yearly subscriptions, further prompts with discount o sign up for their yearly subscriptions, I selected the TRIAL however was debited $48USD for a monthly subscription which I DID not sign up for. Loona, don’t even bother responding to this review with your copy and paste “read our terms and conditions”. There were two prompt options: trial/subscription in which I selected a TRIAL. Furthermore, your “terms and conditions” were no where visible or to be seen when we were prompted with those two options. Emailed and requested for a refund however “the term and conditions states no refund”. What a joke.

Beautiful, Calming app. However no Lifetime for the plus version.. I did trial on the App and it is very calming and some of the sleepscapes are beautiful. The only thing I did not like about the app was paying for the subscription for a month or yearly service. I did see on the App Store that there is a lifetime version and I would be willing to pay for it full price but in the app I cannot find the lifetime option and I am not sure where to look for it if I want to pay for it in full to have full access to the app.

Waste of money. I feel like any app that has to set only a yearly subscription isn’t on board with users needs but after their hard earned dollars, targeting struggling people is even worse. I’ve used the app a handful of times for $81. There needs to be an offer of refund when app is unused for long period, way too expensive for what it offers. I was never given any option, just a free trial then boom $81 gone from my account, there were no options to lessen this and none to refund....after advertising all over Instagram & Facebook for vulnerable people who are struggling to sleep, I’m sure they raked it in 😩

Good but only 1 per night. I’ve paid for premium- the app has helped me initially sleep however I wake up in the middle of the night and would like to do another sleepscape to help me go back to sleep. The app locks the library of sleepscapes so you can only reaccess ones you’ve completed before- doesn’t have the same result as doing a new one. Currently trying to go back to sleep at 4:30am! Disappointed as I’ve paid and not been able to go back to sleep.

Helped me sleep when nothing else did!. I’ve tried yoga, I’ve tried nature sounds, I’ve tried just plain stories, but nothing helps me get to sleep and stay asleep better than this app. Beautiful colours, dreamy soundscapes and gentle narration put me in a positive relaxed mood to sleep. It’s this mood alteration factor that makes this a standout app for me. And the ~20min sessions are long enough to chase away any stress from the day. Love love LOVE this app! Thank you Loóna! Happy to pay for such beautiful work.

Love it… but…. I love Loóna, and I have been using it every evening. I also appreciate that it costs money to be able to engage with something as beautifully produced as this app. However, I thought I was signing up for a $6 a month subscription that would be taken like my other apps every month, and I have just discovered the full year $80 has been deducted in a lump sum. I appreciate that perhaps I didn’t read the small print, but as a single mother in Covid lockdown this deduction has left me in severe financial hardship. I love this app, but please be careful and do your homework about the financial terms before you sign up.

Dishonest, unethical and poor customer service. Signed up for trial period from a pretty social advert, never got a reminder email at end of trial period which almost all apps do now esp given the sheer number of subscriptions! So they send an email informing me that I’m now a subscriber, I IMMEDIATELY informed them I didn’t intend to subscribe and requested refund. They have flat out refused to refund me. I DON’T WANT TO SUBSCRIBE. How hard is that to understand??! Any honest business/app would not force someone to subscribe when the subscription was unintentional. Give people a proper chance to unsubscribe, why force someone into a relationship you when THEY DON’T WANT TO BE. That is an extremely unethical and dishonest to conduct business. I WANT A REFUND!

Time limits are a limitation.. Would be the best application I have found for reducing panic attacks..., and encouraging sleep if there wasn’t a time restriction on accessing the next scape. And, now it only loads to 40%. I have no problem paying for it, but, this glitch has been occurring for nearly a month now, and one can only do the old stories so many times. It’d be great if this single development issue could be solved. And, when reinstalled, it took me back to Sleepscape one again. Anyway, otherwise it is great.

Great app overall. Hi, this app is really good even without getting loóna+, because you still get heaps of cool features. For example, after you finish colouring you can either continue the music from that episode, or they give you stories about that episode you can listen to, which is super fun. Every app i've tried never relaxes me or makes me sleep, so this one did a tiny bit but not much, For most people though it would work great!

Not what I was hoping for. I originally was very excited for this, I started the free trial, after the first night of doing the dream scape activity that’s meant to help you relax and sleep I noted I got a slight headache. It happened again the second night too. I skipped a night and then the third time, the same thing happened, sure I did sleep soundly but after having to take Panadol to deal with the headache I got from these small interactive activities, I thought maybe it was due to the lighting or colour or maybe the music in the background, I still don’t know why, I can look at my phone all day but the moment I open up this app and attempt to do the dream scapes I get an instant and building headache. So upsetting as I wanted this to help me sleep, help my anxiety and stress and it has alarms, music and more available on the app, so upset it didn’t work out for me

Very Disappointed. Will not allow me to try more than one sleepscape without signing on for paid subscription... even though there was a 24hr countdown timer giving the impression I would be able to complete another sleepscape for free the next day. Very very disappointing that unable to try more than one single sleepscape before committing to subscription and extremely misleading marketing, gave the impression I could do one sleepscape a night for free without subscribing. Pity because I think I actually might have wanted to subscribe for this app but I just needed to try more than one time to see if it’s going to be worth it :(

FAKE TRIAL PERIOD / wrongful charge. Scam?!. I downloaded the app to use with a 7 day trial, but found the app was not helpful for me, so I cancelled within the trial period. I have since been charged for a full year of premium (nearly $100 AUD!) despite cancelling within the rightful trial period as stated when I signed up. As soon as I realised, I tried to dispute through Apple subscriptions but found the payment was taken thru PayPal. I have tried to lodge a refund request there and Loona is refusing to give a refund. As I cancelled my subscription, I don’t even have access to the premium account. I CANNOT BELIEVE an app that is supposed to support people with anxiety and sleeplessness is stealing money from folks so dishonestly- and judging from other recent reviews, I’m not the only one who’s had this happen. I am writing here to request a refund from Loona. What the bell?! I’m actually in shock. This is so wrong.

Amazing App!. This is an incredible app and the only one that has managed to relieve some of my life long insomnia. All I hope is that they add a system of search into the soundscapes to make it easier to find what I wish to listen to. Being able to search by the tags under each song would be useful too or even being able to make playlists! But nonetheless the effort put into Loóna is evident

This app has changed my life!. Sounds dramatic, I know, but as someone who suffers from chronic insomnia and has for years, this app has changed my life regarding my ability to go to sleep. I put a Sleepscape on, and not far in I feel my eyelids start to droop. Chuck on an Immersive Story and I’m out like a light! This app is 100% worth the money for the subscription. I loved it so much that I’m now upgraded to a Lifetime subscription! The customer service and social media team are absolutely brilliant. Incredibly prompt, sincere and kind. Even staff high in the hierarchy are fantastic. I am consistently impressed with this company, their commitment to their product, their commitment to their users enjoyment, and their ability to take on customer feedback with congruence. I’ve even told my psychiatrist about this app, and after trying it out for himself, he’s now recommending it to his other patients to use as a sleep aid within their sleep hygiene routine. Thank you so much Loóna!

After decades of sleep struggle I have found a beautiful solution - Loóna!. Wow what a special and extraordinary piece of work you have created. It is simply beautiful. I have gone through a couple of weeks of this program each night and am sleeping so well after years of insomnia. I suffer from fibromyalgia and this really helps it too. The pain is exacerbated by lack of sleep. I am hooked and look forward to each nights episode during the day. Is this app addictive I wonder? I bought a years subscription but would like to switch it to the lifetime one so how do I do that? Congratulations on creating such a wonderful program. Can’t wait till tonight!

Very calming!. I can tell a lot of effort was put into this app, from the soundtrack to the unique mash up of 3D colouring to story telling it calmed me down in an instant. I was honestly not buying it at first when I saw the add for it pop up, but I’m so glad it lived up to what it said it did. The fact they also respond to customer feedback and not use annoying, in your face adds really tells you the intention of the app. 10/10 beautiful design, keep up the good work!

Underwhelming and frustrating. Good concept, subpar execution.. I wanted to enjoy Loóna and hopped it would assist with my sleep but found it to be an underwhelming and frustrating experience. As someone with ADD/ADHD it’s important to find ways to calm the mind prior to sleeping - this app couldn’t hold my attention as it simply wasn’t engaging enough. I know it’s a sleep hygiene app and it isn’t meant to stimulate, but I use the word engaging to mean it was unable to hold my interest. It was lacklustre, monotonous. It didn’t pique my interest and open the mind to a relaxing experience. It was simply frustrating. The concept is there but it falls flat on the execution, and the lack of choice of Sleepscape each night was disappointing. The design where the user follows the chapters was the first point of dissatisfaction, and I think I would have enjoyed the interaction more had I been able to choose a different Sleepscape rather than being forced to follow the chosen story/Sleepscape. To be given the opportunity to select a Sleepscape based on my mood would have improved the experience and possibly improved my experience with this app. I am sure many individuals find it a great experience, but as I mentioned earlier, as someone with ADD/ADHD it’s frustrating to see such potential in an app and have it fall flat of meeting the needs of someone who is neurodivergent.

Misleading. I started off loving this app. When I first downloaded this app, I was mesmerised by the who concept and the execution was beautiful. However it turns out that I can only do that first sleepscape, which was somewhat of a letdown. After being so captivated with it at first, I feel really quite let down to have such limited options. To access any other options of sleepscapes apart form the initial options you have to pay no insignificant amount of money, and while I do understand that the people working on this deserve credit and payment for their work, it is somewhat frustrating to be forced to pay money to continue. It would be great if there was basic restricted option that was free, not totally so that the app is no longer profitable, but so that the consumer at least has some motivation to keep using the app.

Extremely relaxing!. This app is truly amazing and has had a lot of effort put into it. I have been struggling with my mental health quite a bit for years, but especially over the last six months. And this has helped me get to sleep at night, when not much else has. I am so very grateful! It’s well worth the subscription, and I know it’s going towards a really great app, with obviously great developers. If you’re struggling please give this a go! Couldn’t recommend it enough. And thank you so very much to the developers. This has helped me more than I ever expected.

Steal my money. I already deleted it but it still deducted my money

Relaxing app. I find the sleep stories help me fall asleep much faster. I quite enjoy the soft music.

money... i think its pretty nice, i opened it and i loved the first episode, but i cant even listen to the next without paying.. as a person with anxiety and insomnia i would have loved to listen to more, but i wont pay for that, its too much and i think there should atleast have been one chapter free. Regardless of that, the music is relaxing and calming. But still think one chapter free would be better...

It is not an app dedicated to sleep anymore.. They started with sleepscapes, ans they’re were great. During last year they add many other features (that you have to pay in addition to your subscription), but it keeps them away from what they are the best at. Therefore, subscription does not worth it, and it is not cheap neither. Too bad, they won the best app for sleepscapes, and they are not doing them anymore. Very disappointed.

Memorable. I discovered this app maybe a little over a year ago, and used it without subscription. My experience was so memorable I decided to find it and try it again. The biggest thing in my life is escaping into a world of fantasy and imagination, I’m a big book reader. I truly appreciate the development team for creating this beautiful application. xx

bad. okay so literally, i never had a subscription for this app right, and it decided it wanted to pay for itself, took my money right out my back and into this app that i don’t have anymore! nor am i even subscribed to it. literally just robbed it

Calm and relaxing app, but everything costs money.. I found this app on social media and I thought I’d give it a try, it’s an amazing app and it’s very helpful! I love the music and I also loved the escapes you can do, the only problem I have is most of the things cost money. but overall great app 💗

Ads are misleading. Instant regret. I was lured in by an Instagram ad that portrayed the app as being based on assessment of your natural sleep cycle. You answer questions and get a profile like lion, wolf etc. I answered the questions and paid .99 just because I like to read the results self assessments and this was something I hadn’t tried. My animal is “neutral” which is not interesting and also not an animal. I was given a suggested wake and sleep time, which I can’t adopt, and literally nothing else. No description, nothing to reflect your responses to the questions or explain anything. I downloaded the app hoping there would be more information there, but there’s not. Just media to listen to with no apparent connection to the assessment I did. So, I assume I got conned into sharing personal information for someone else’s gain, and connected my PayPal to a subscription that I don’t want and probably can’t cancel based on the reviews.

Payment trapped and very expensive. Really liked the app but disingenuous payment setup and difficult to cancel. Extremely expensive.

Love This App. I use regularly before sleep and I quite enjoy it.

Please include diverse narrators!. I’ve had Loona for a 3 years and thoroughly enjoy the colouring and storytelling experience. However, lately the narrator changed, and while I love that there is a woman narrating now, I prefer the previous person’s tone of voice. I’ve actually stopped using the app because of it :( Would it be possible to include a variety of narrators and the ability to choose who were listen to from the settings? Thanks!

Flawless, Greater than Great. The first dragon activity is very peaceful and I’m going to fall asleep writing this review! Incredible, don’t think twice about downloading!

primer día. muy bueno la verdad

If only there was more free escapes :(. This app really helped me with my sleep problems but there is only two escapes that does not cost money… I really wish there were more because I don’t have the money for subscription :(

Drains battery !. I enjoyed the app when it was free but it’s too expensive to keep it. The other issue is that the app drains the battery. If I wanted to use loóna alarm I had to keep the phone plugged in all night otherwise it would drain my battery completely during the night. If I didn’t use loóna alarm my phone would stay charged all night. I don’t know what this app is doing on my phone to drain the battery that fast but I don’t like it.

Has become an irreplaceable part of my bedtime routine. As someone with ADHD and anxiety, calming my thoughts enough to sleep isn’t easy. Loóna helps calm my mind and body enough to drift off. Thank you loóna!

Looked promising but I’m not so sure. Loved it to start and payed for it but after paying I have to wait 30 hours for the next episode. Not very happy with that fact. I think for the price l should be able to listen to them when I want to or at least reply. Very dissatisfied.

Love it but. They promise new escapes every month but that isn’t the case. Love it but keep your promise please!

5/5 stars. Love the interactive colouring stories before bedtime 5 solid stars for sure

Love so much.. This helps me sleep so much! It would be 10 stars but they don’t update with new stories enough 😩

LOVE this app but….. The graphics, stories, music and narrations are absolutely wonderful, I paid for a year and for me it’s been SO worth it!! I just wish more stories would be done, it’s been a few months, not even any Christmas themed stories this past holiday! Does it just take a long time to make them? Hoping for a good dump of stories soon or I may have to say goodbye…

Total scam artists! Do not buy this app under any circumstances. They charged my card for a full membership without me even authorizing the cost of a full membership. Some people are so god damn low it’s so sad that they have the stoop to this level. It’s a crap app too. Sounds don’t even work when phone is closed. Totally no point to the app. They literally just stole from me. I can’t relive apple allows apps like this to exist on its platform. I will be emailing apple to inform them of this unethical scam.

Crappy customer service. I am unable to log in to my account. I have reset my password twice and when I try to log into the app with my new credentials I get a message that my email address is invalid. There is no way to contact anyone through the app. I have been paying for a subscription for awhile now. It expires in December. Not impressed.

Awesome. The app evolved with time and its great. It’s simple and enjoyable for anyone who want to play or relax

Love the app... Only one issue. I pay for the app and I love it very much. I have never finished a sleep story without falling asleep :) My only issue is the app randomly starts playing music throughout the day and the app won't even show it it open. I have to open the app and close it before the sound will stop. This happens 4-5 times a day.

Great app, needs an option. There should be an option to listen to the narrator only. similar to doing the sleepscape without a narrator, you should be able to listen to the narrator without doing the sleepscape. Do that and it’s a 5. Update: they made a similar change that I requested, very happy! There should still be a sleescspe option to listen only, I find those stories better than actual sleep stories!

Love this App!. Going on each of your journeys helped me relax and sleep so much better. I can’t wait until I can experience more of your amazing stories! I didn’t know how much I loved hearing a story at bedtime until your narrator shared such peaceful adventures with me! Thank you!

Nice but way to pricey. Only one free sleepscape to do… gets very repetitive. Also $18/month is steep 👀

Great app. Relaxing stories to help you sleep

Loóna. Je vous adÔre!!!

More please. More frequent new sleep escapes please!!

AVOID THIS APP. I have been charged $$$ every 3 months even though I have cancelled the subscription in Apple and have emailed the company. No response. I wish I had checked out the complaints on the Better Business Bureau before downloading. I don’t even know what to do to make it stop.

Loóna is amazing!. The sleepscapes in Loóna help me to relax and wind down before bed like nothing else - usually I have trouble falling asleep - but not after trying Loóna.

NOT FREE!! Don’t bother!. Imagine going through 3 notifications just to get to the sleepscape activity. Try it again and it ask for a subscription. Sneaking criminals did not market that you need Loóna plus to do anything on the app. Imagine. 👌🏻

Drastic change. I always loved Loona ! It has helped me a LOT with my sleep, tho I did very much prefer when we could access to any chapter of our choice, I’ve lost my progress twice and I’ve had to redo all the chapters I had done already twice because I couldn’t skip through and choose one that’s more to my tastes. I miss the time where we had the big selection 😭 overall tho I still appreciate the app and the concept of coloring in 3D !

Fantastic!. Love this app!

Too Few Free Sessions. To be clear, you get one free session before you have to sign up for the membership, either monthly or annually. As someone who suffers with a myriad of mental health concerns which impact my ability to fall asleep and stay asleep, it’s unreasonable to expect that I would know after a single session whether this app works well enough for me to justify adding it into my budget. If you had given me more than one free night, or even a few free options to cycle through for a couple of weeks, I might have been willing to pay. After one night? No thank you. Results are inconclusive, therefore I will be uninstalling.

Love It!. I enjoy the whole experience from colours to graphics to the way the stories are coloured and the narration and the music and sounds. This app is the complete package, they have thought of everything. And they do everything so well. I’ve used it for a couple of years now. It never fails to make me tired and peaceful. I love how this app has grown. I wish them much continued Success they deserve it.

Charged my card even after I cancelled. They charged my credit card even after I cancelled my membership before renewal and they refused to give my money back!

Love loona!. This app brings me so much relief for my anxiety. When my brain won’t shut down before bed I reach for loona to calm the mind so I can fall asleep. Love the music and the creative story lines.

The perfect bedtime app. This app has helped so much with calming my racing mind before bed. Rarely do I finish a story before being too sleepy and the music lulls me to sleep.

DON’T USE THIS APP. Horrible customer service and poor quality app. I requested a refund of $84.25 CAD as the app charged me this amount. I cancelled my free trial the day before it ended and yet I was still charged the next day for a full membership. I attempted to reach out to customer service to rectify this and was told that all sales are final and refunds are not permitted. Waste of time, waste of money, and don’t even bother with their customer service as it’s absolute trash. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. It’s a damn con.

Never Fails. This is my go-to for getting to sleep. It’s true it works best with daily use. My only complaint is that I can’t filter stories by narrator - I prefer the Englishman and have to tap through stories and escapes to find one with his narration

Very good app. Where are the updates of new sleepscapes ?

Costs money. I loved it and it really helped when it was free, but now it costs. I can't afford it.

No ability to provide technical support. I purchased this app and was enjoying the experience. My two little boys and I would complete one sleepscape together each night. However, when I signed into the app one evening it wiped my entire progress. The tech support team has no ability to fix this issue and re-instate my progress. They stopped responding to my email for 14 days before finally telling me they could only see a few sleepscapes completed (the ones we had gone back and re-done after the total wipe of my account!) obviously only a few would show up - the issue was that they had wiped my account! I had provided exactly where we had progressed to. For a paid app I expect better customer support and an ability to correct technical errors. I am entirely disappointed. I would NOT recommend paying for a full subscription.

Awesome.. Great app! Works really well and I have an awesome sleep

Good Sleep App. Lots of music selections Sleep stories Love the quizzes & looking forward to more

i love it. game is good very relaxing and embraces culture i love it

Great 👍. I have a very hard time sleeping and this app makes me sleep in 10-30 minutes depending on what I am using but overall this is a great app I recommend it to anyone that has trouble sleeping like me.

10/10. I love this app! I’ve been using it for the past two weeks and it’s really been a nice adventure to have before sleep. The art is beautiful and the stories vary greatly but are still interesting. I love how there seems to be more movement and interaction in the later episodes and some of the sceneries from the more fantasy incline sleeps apes are captivating. The soundscapes are really nice as I like having music to fall asleep but my normal « sleep » playlist can’t be used as having people singing low key creeps me out. I look forward to the next episodes and seeing what stories and sceneries the team will develop. If I had one complaint, it’d be the luminosity. I go to bed extremely late so by the time I use the app I’ve already gotten used to the lowest luminosity my device has, it’d be nice if I had a way to completely regulate it or even have it toned down a tiny bit so that my eyes don’t feel like they’re going to die.

Let the User pick the Voice!!!!!!. Dear Loóna Team! You App has helped me with sleep and anxiety. Most of it I contribute to the amazing talent of the male voice actor you use. His voice is calming to the max for me. To my great horror the sleepscape I’m on now featured a female voice actor!!!!! Her voice keeps me awake!!!! No calming! Nothing. Since you don’t allow to skip sleep scapes I’m now stuck with a voice that agitates me and I must power through until, hopefully, in the next sleepscape I have the make voice actor again. Falling asleep, anxiety and all those related things are intensely personal so once you find something that works it is the greatest blessing! So, having this taken away from me is terrible!!!! I’m sure there are users who like the female voice actor better than the male, that’s what I meant with intensely personal. If I pay so much money to use an app, I should be allowed to chose my voice!!!! Or at least be able to skip the sleepscapes with the female voice actor!! Please make this happen, as right now I’m an extremely frustrated user as I’m stuck with the female who keeps me awake!!!!

You won’t regret it. I saw this app on an ad and decided to give it a shot. I did one sleepscape and immediately subscribed to the pro plan. As someone who struggles with sleep, this app has genuinely been the best thing I’ve downloaded on my phone ever. The sleepscapes are little episodes where you get to click on items to color them as a soothing narrator’s voice guides you through the story of the scene. I was amazed to find multi-episode stories and the sheer beauty of some of the sleepscapes. The music is also lovely to listen to and has replaced a lot of the lofi music I start my day with. The inspiration morning messages always make me smile and I fall asleep so much easier with this app. I’m impressed with the updates from the dev team and how they listen to feedback. If you’re hesitating for any reason, just get the app!! You won’t regret it!

Would be better if it wasn’t so controlling. This app definitely helps in the sleep department, when it’s a story I enjoy that is. I’m giving them 3 stars because they completely control how and when you use the app, and what stories you have to do each night. Some of the stories simply don’t appeal to me, nor do they relax me. However the app forces you to do them in the order it wants you to. You can’t skip, you can’t choose a different one. Just my way or the high way. I find this anything but relaxing and end up not using the app for large gaps of time because the story they are forcing me to complete isn’t working for me. Is a skip button really that hard? Also if you don’t fully complete, push every button you can’t start a new one the next night. So if you doze off, miss the final step, or the app glitches you are outta luck the next night. So it’s a good app with potential but it’s far from perfect. Plus the developers need to relinquish a bit of control on things.

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS APP. First of all I tried the app over a year ago and the first couple stories were good. After that it just got weird and wasn’t at all helpful to sleep. So I cancelled. They had misleading advertising so I “filled out a questionnaire” and it ended up trying to sell me a trial for a short period that somehow costs them $17?? HOW? But anyway I signed up for the trial then realized when they showed me the name of the app I was trialing that I had used it before and it failed to help me fall asleep. They had a pop up that asked you to skip the trial and go straight to purchase and I HIT YES INSTEAD OF NO ACCIDENTALLY. I did not use the app. I requested a refund which any other app I’ve ever requested a refund on had no issues. Particularly when they can SEE I have not even used it. To my shock they replied to me saying too bad, so sad. We won’t offer a refund on our ridiculously expensive adult coloring book app that’s supposed to help you sleep. GIVE ME A BREAK! Do not get involved with this shady company. I have to pay $70 now because they can’t earn the subscriptions earnestly I guess.

The update is just awful. I suffer from severe ptsd, anxiety and depression and loóna really helped me when I was having flashbacks from my ptsd they’re mentally painful but they cause my physical pain as well because I’m locked in an extremely traumatic event I go blind and it’s all I can see I work so hard on therapy to break away from it and this app was all that I had when I’m alone the flashbacks are the worst because no one is there to comfort me and help me out of it but this app was. This update has taken that away from me. I understand you wanting to do something like this with the app but you could still do that like part of the app you could work on your little sleep and the other part we could still just do our stories and do all of the stories and sleep scapes we want. Your app has helped my journey so much and it’s been like a form of therapy. So many people use your app for other mental health reasons, but you’ve just ripped that away from us and we really need you to bring it back. Thank you for having such a wonderful app for so long, but know that you’ve just taken so much from so many of us.

Love this app so much but sad to see the app getting stagnant. This app was truly amazing when i first downloaded it. I still love the sleepscapes and the stories. I paid for a year subscription, worth the money in my opinion, however since the app has been under new ownership there has been a significant drop in new content being released and updates. The little sleep buddy creature feature is kinda annoying honestly so i went back to the original version of the app. Seems like energy wasted that could have been put into creating more escapes. Would really like to see more new content regularly and some big fixes for example: when you finished a sleepscape you could go back to the colored scene and look around, now the screen is just stuck. Been emailing developers about this particular bug now for literally months and it still hasnt been fixed.

A game changer for sleep. First off, this is completely worth the price. $40 for a year of good sleep is a pretty fair trade off to me, and the app itself is wonderfully designed and reflects the work of a stellar team. The sleepscapes are wonderful and definitely prepare me for bed, but what absolutely knocks me out are the immersive stories. I’ll be real, I don’t think I’ve ever heard one all the way through yet, because I’m generally out within 5 or so minutes. I don’t always have trouble falling asleep initially, but I do have a habit of waking up in the middle of the night and being unable to fall asleep again. I used to toss and turn or fiddle about on my phone, but now I just crank out an immersive story and I’m 100% out again. Thank you devs for making such a great app, and for many nights of good sleep!

Game Changer. I used to scroll social media in bed until I fell asleep- a process that didn’t rest my brain, and it took hours. I wanted a change, so I tried free trials of every sleep app you’ve heard of. Loona beat them all out, so I bought a year subscription. I’ve used it faithfully every night! I look forward to my bed routine now and I never thought I’d say that. There’s so much talent in this app! The narrators are so soothing, the art is cozy and gorgeous, the music and sounds are so relaxing and there’s so much variety, and the stories range from inspiring and magical to downright cozy. I can’t recommend it enough! The escapes are really meditative and I enjoy them a lot. I do wish there was a guided meditation option, like a soothing voice prompting me to relax and reflect, or sleep hypnosis. But even then, this app is amazing. 10/10, especially with headband earphones (as a side sleeper)

Love the app but hate the price grab. I will be honest the free trial is not really a free trial. They limit what you can do and you have only a week. The subscription price is outrageous. It’s like $15 bucks a month. Not worth it. I honestly wouldn’t have continued to use it if the didn’t offer me a last chance deal for $20 bucks for a whole year. If the price is more than that next year I will cancel. Now that all of the bad is out of the way let’s talk about the good. It is an immersive experience, with story, colors, sounds, and music. You can also choose each one individually. Let’s say you want to listen to the music, but not do the color or story you can. And each sleep scape comes with 3 short stories. I am thoroughly enjoying the experience, and love the innovative concept. Cons: it only opens up on new sleepscape a night. You can not choose new ones, the app goes in a specific order and you can not alter it. You can repeat past sleepscapes as much as you would like. That’s another reason why I probably won’t renew.

Good at sleep, bad at UX. I will say, I do fall asleep fast with this app, impressively so as an insomniac. But I feel like they’ve put too much into good content at the expense of basic functions, if they could fix these basic things I’d happily change to five stars. 1) during music, ambiance or stories, be able to play with the screen locked like any other music app. Failure to have this basic function leaves users with having to cover their phones, sleep with a mask or deal with a bright light - exactly the opposite of good sleep hygiene. 2) the app recommends headphones, which do improve the experience, until said wireless headphones battery dies at which point whatever you were listening to comes out blasting from your iPad or iPhones speakers waking you and anyone unfortunate enough to share a room with you. The resulting adrenaline rush of course losses me 45 minutes of sleep. In the event of Bluetooth disconnect, the app should simply pause playback and the already asleep user stays that way. 3) easier access to connected content, if I listened to one sleep story one night, next night when I click on it from history I would like an easy way to find the next one without having to scroll through all the sleep scapes to find it. I do hope this finds its way to the developers, I really want to love this app, and it’s so close, but not quite there.

Consider it a trial.. Beautiful app, really. But unless you know going into it that you will be okay with paying a fairly expensive subscription, there’s no point in downloading this. You get to try one sleepscape (the dragon shrine seems to be the only one), and all the others are locked unless you move forward with the subscription. I assumed like many others that the free version was just a bit more limited and maybe you didn’t have it all at your disposal at once—not that it was absolutely limited to one sleepscape ever. It’s prompting me to do the next one, but... it’s locked. I have to start the trial of the subscription to move forward with it, and without knowing if this is a behavior I’ll continue with for more than the next few days, it’s just not worth paying yet. (And I’m not one to do week-long “free trials” before automatic payments, since I’d rather just pay or continue free.) It is a shame, because it seems like it could be worth it — it really is beautiful and calming. But without better access to the app before hitting the pay wall, I won’t be dropping that amount on an unknown.

You can turn off the sleep journey!. 3 stars because the creators forced this journey feature onto users without much explanation or ability to switch between journey and self exploration. I’m glad I found another review that said you can toggle the feature off because I was about to cancel my subscription. Now that I’ve turned it off, I can’t figure out how to turn it back on if I wanted to 🙃 some nights I just need the stories, and there isn’t a way to get to the stories if you have the sleep journey toggled, at least not an easy way I could figure out when I’m tired and ready for bed. The buddy thing seems like a good idea the creators didn’t fully flesh out. Why does it sleep for an hour? Why wouldn’t it sleep at the same time you do after your escape? It would be great to be able to switch between the journey based escapes and self exploratory based escapes, stories, and music

Good but. Let’s say you access this at 11 pm but the next night you are ready for bed at 9pm. You can’t access any sleepscape until past the time of previous one. No way to set notifications for your bedtime. Also it had me repeat the same sleepscape more than once. I tried to back out and start a different one but the app wouldn’t let me. Now it gets the job done for sleep. I also like to use it for calming anxiety. Unfortunately despite paying for the app I can’t access a sleepscape more than once a day. I understand they want to help limit screen time before bed but why not have pop up message to remind users of limit one per an hour or even every 6 hrs. The sleepscapes are well done. I love the colors and stories behind each scene. It’s very relaxing. They really did a great job with the 360 viewing. It’s enjoyable to listen and tap to see things change. This part of the app is true work of art.

OK subscribe me without my permission. I downloaded this app and was doing a basic look over to see if I might be interested. I did not accept any of the offers for a trial period or any of the many discounts that they tried to entice me with. I just wanted to have a basic look to see if I would enjoy it. While looking around I noticed that all features were suddenly unlocked and now it says that I have subscribed to loóna plus. There’s no easy way to resolve this. I’ve written two letters to customer support asking them to please contact me to ensure that I am not going to be billed for this app, no reply yet. They certainly do not make it easy to manage this account. You have to send an email and simply hope for a reply. The app itself is pretty, somewhat soothing, but I do not find it worth theSubscription fee. Other than aesthetics it doesn’t really offer That much. The worst part though is that I’m having this difficulty managing an account I never signed up for. Any calming effect of this app might have had has been fully negated but the stress of having to deal with this issue.

Such a magical, amazing app!. I found Loóna because it was advertised in my Facebook newsfeed. I’m so thankful I clicked on it, became intrigued and then downloaded it. Immediately I was in love. The graphics, background music and narrators voice (in the first 3 chapters) are all so incredible. My 9 year old daughter and I huge quickly adapted this as a bedtime ritual to do together and we are hooked. She likes to take snapshots of our progress the whole way through as well. This app transports us to another world where we find humor, whimsy and such detail in the artwork. Our favorite sleepscape so far has been the incredible cherry blossom tree on the rock with the Lumos. My only complaint is that there aren’t anymore...chapter 5 is “coming soon” and we are so impatient, we need one every night! Please, please continue to create more and more! I will gladly pay to have one every night. Is there an ETA for more, please!

Won’t stop starting on its own. First, I do like the ambiance sounds of loóna. But it’s driving me nuts that it keeps starting the app and playing sounds on its own. Now let me explain. I close the app, and not just close, but swipe and remove and have even attempted force stop. I also have background apps off. And it will suddenly start playing sound. So then I go to check if the app is open - it’s not visibly open anywhere but the music is playing. So then I click the app icon and there it is playing the music from the initial screen of asking how I’m doing today. I’m a paid subscriber but I won’t be anymore if this doesn’t get fixed. It’s destroying my battery, taking over whatever media I was playing, and making me paranoid that it’s a criminal app since it starts on its own despite the settings saying no. Is this a criminal organization secretly spying on people by starting the app without their knowledge? Or is it just a horrendous bug that needs to be fixed?

Beautiful and really relaxing!. I have had this app for a week now and I can honestly say I look forward to starting it each night before bed. I start yawning almost immediately once I hear the soothing story teller's voice. And lately it's been taking me 2-3 nights to finish an episode because I fall asleep so quickly (which is great and I'm not complaining!) One thing I notice is that my "current" and "longest streak" stay at 1 because I haven't finished 2 episodes back to back (see my previous comment of why that is). I would suggest to the developers to make it so that if you listen to any part of a sleepscape that it counts towards your streak. But the streak counting actually has zero to do with the efficacy of this app so for that reason this app gets a big 5 stars in my book! I highly recommend it to all my friends!

Love this app!. FOR THOSE WHO HATE THE UPDATE I did too you can turn it off! Go to settings and at the very bottom toggle off “sleep journey”and it will go back to normal. I think this was a lack of communication on Loonas behalf. You guys have an excellent product but maybe work on the wording in the updates :) Loóna is an amazing app that has helped me sleep for years now. I lost my father to cancer after many hard years and anxiety etc. has made sleep difficult. I have sung Loonas praises to so many people. I love seeing the new sleep journeys with the updates and panicked when I opened the app after this last one. I much prefer it’s usual calming interface. If I could only keep one app I think it would be Loóna. I use the stories, escapes and music! The annual membership is absolutely worth it and this company is legit.

Incredible. This app is exactly what I need to unwind from the stress of the day. I look forward to the sleepscape each night. I noticed that a lot of people are saying they don’t like the narration, but I love it!! The narration slows you down and makes you focus on the story in turn you get lost in the picture you are painting. One of the pictures had no narration and I colored it in 7 minutes where with the narration it is more like a guided drawing meditation and it is just brilliant in my opinion. usually takes me about 20min to get thru which is just the perfect amount of time to get your mind and body relaxed and sleepy. Everything about this app screams perfection from the stories to the illustration, the music and all the other features. Thank you loona team keep them coming as they are blessing to end my day with!

A great app, but Save never works. I love the app and it’s so helpful and soothing. I knocked off an entire star though because some of these sleepscapes are long enough that you get tired midway through and start falling asleep (which is great!) BUT their “Save and exit” button LOOKS like it works (as in it will tell you what percentage you made it through when you go back to the selection screen), but will always restart from the beginning when you try to go back to it later. Every single time. As in, I have never had the save option work, not once. So there are some sleepscapes I will totally avoid because I have replayed the opening over and over and over and keep trying to save for later just to have to restart. And since you can’t skip ahead in the story of scrub forward you just have to go through it repeatedly. Please fix this button!!!

Simply indescribably amazing!. So as many may have mentioned before, this is a great app for people with anxiety and trouble sleeping. When I originally got this, I just thought it was a simple 3D coloring app. I was blown out of the water. It was more than just coloring. It was soothing music and despite what people say and how silly it feels at first having the narrator on, I let it go anyway and found that his voice really wasn’t all that disturbing, in fact if you let it, it really helps you relax like listening to someone read a story to you in a tone that soothes and makes you expand your imagination as you color such wonderful images before going to bed to the great calming music. And even though people complain about updates wiping their progress, I would not be bothered because I’d get to enjoy the coloring all over again with the wonderful music once more. It’s really been a huge help in relaxing my mind. I have to practice meditation to help my stress, my heart, and anxiety and this even helps with my depression on top of all that because it hits memories that were from a better time in life and just helps me handle what I can in a day because I know I can relax before bed with this. So thank you for everything you guys have done so far. I truly love this game and how it affects me mentally, physically, and emotionally.

Suggestion and Gratitude. I absolutely love this app. I’ve never been so consistent with something before.. I use it every night and it really does help with falling asleep. Not to mention actually helping with creativity and healthier thought processes=better dreams. My only suggestion would be to reset the Sleepscape of the day in the morning. Some nights I get to bed earlier than other due to different jobs. I miss sleep scapes. Or tonight for example I’m going to sleep before midnight and it’s yet to reset so since I didn’t get to bed until after midnight last night I’ve already completed todays. I think having it reset in the early morning would be perfect…. Only a thought. I appreciate the creators of this app. It is beautiful and I love the stories, which even tie together. It seems like a lot of work was put into it.

Actually helps me sleep. I started using loóna about a month ago and It actually helped me fall asleep a quarter into a sleeps-cape! If you’re someone who finds talking soothing and makes you sleepy this app is for you!! And the colors that get brought to life when you begin the sleepscape is amazing! But the reason i gave 4 stars rather than 5 is the introduction chapter is so far the best part of the app and chapter 1 sucked because they don’t tell stories like they do in the intro episodes. I loved how intro episode tell you a story and meaning as you color in what it tells you too. I bothered the hell out of me when chapter 1 doesn’t do that..??? Like why?!? That was what helped me fall asleep. Don’t get me wrong the coloring in chapter 1 is still cool and nice but I need to hear the story to Guarantee i will fall asleep. Oh and yes I know you can also just hear the stories but the coloring and the story at the same time is what got me tired and soothes. It’s just not the same. I hope chapter 2 is like the intro :(

Stunning gorgous amazing calming. I used this app a couple years back and i had stopped useing it due to loosing my phone ….. its so absolutely worth it i suffer from insomnia and i also have severe anxiety and ptsd among so mich more and this has been my saveing grace for getting to sleep on time at night. Its soothing and i sometimes fall asleep durring the colloring /story that each scape has its that amazing and you can personalize it !!! To know what sounds help you fall asleep to know what type of things are soothing for you EVEN BUSY CROUDED CITIES THEY HAVE SOUNDS AND SCAPES AND STORIES WITH ALL THAT AS WELL EVEN ENCHANTED FORESTS THE HORIZONS ARE LARGE with the abilities to pick and choose its absolutely amazing the collors are even personalizeable to what collors soothe you ….. of your looking for aomething to help you fall asleep at night this is it !!! Please give it a chance you can do a trial run even to make sure it works for you <3.

Beautiful but…. First off, I would like to say this app is actually stunning. The graphics, the colors, the whole app is just beautiful. I’ve been having bad sleep recently and was relieved and excited to find an app to help. Now, I did the first sleepscape and it was really nice actually but then, coming back tonight, everything’s locked. All the other sleepscapes, playlist, and practically the whole app is for premium paying people. This has happened to me multiple times with a variety of apps but specially for “wellness” apps such as this one. It’s just sad because they make these apps to help people, I assume, but not everyone can pay for it. I was really disappointed because even though I get you kinda “pay for quality and the creatures time”, which I totally get, I wish there was at least a little to do for free. I’ll be deleting this app, not because its necessarily bad, but I just can afford it. Another one bits the dust I guess!

Holy wow. Only app to ever knock me out.. I am extremely grateful that I happened to download this app. I did a trial and didn’t upgrade for a while, though it helped me, but I came back to it and noticed that when I would do a sleepscape I’d sleep through the night. My issue — regarding sleep — is racing thoughts. Whether going to sleep or sometimes waking up at odd hours, I began using this app to distract my mind and, boy, does it work. I have downloaded aaaaaall the sleep apps and listened to countless meditations for sleep, and nothing has consistently worked like this. I do them every night. Sometimes I need to do a second one, but I’ve never made it through a second one awake. If you suffer from racing thoughts while trying to fall asleep, this is a truly great app. I downloaded it because I loved the graphics and was pleasantly surprised by how it was essentially just what I needed.

Download this now! :-). I’ve tried other relaxing apps before and none of them work as well as this one at first I was doubtful and it took me a while after watching all the ads for this one until I finally just downloaded it but I haven’t regretted downloading it ever since I downloaded it. Honestly this is the best app for relaxing I was just trying to relax in the car and now I’m ready to go to bed I’m now I’m gonna have to figure out how to convince mom to let me draw when it is I mean color one of these before bed because this will help me so much to get to bed if you’re reading this review I absolutely recommend this game to everyone I only put five stars because that’s the highest but reasonably it’s more like this.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love this app so why the 3 stars?. I subscribed for a full year on Loóna Plus and while it really isn't that expensive, the understanding from the information given when I signed up was that was a new sleepscape each night. There are actually only about 57 and that hasn't changed in a few months. If I want to go to bed earlier than when you set it up originally with your usual bedtime, it won't let you start the new one, or even go back and open the already completed ones before that time. Today I updated the app and there are three new items..a daily inspirational card and three sound scapes totaling about 24 minutes. Just not enough to keep me interested. The app itself is artfully done, it's simply beautiful but the content just isn't there to support a yearly subscription and I really think not letting your subscribers know this up front is pretty deceptive in my opinion. With the latest update why weren't new sleepscapes added? At what point and how often will they be?

Changed my rating. When I first started this a year or 2 ago, it wasn't that great. I rated it 2 stars. Not many stories & only one story allowed at night; even though I'm a day sleeper. The colors of the stories were meh. They've stepped up their game & everything is beautiful & no more having to wait to do more than one. I can do as many as I want & when I want it. One of the women narrators voice is still annoying & slow. I can't relax when she's talking, but it's not a big deal because the graphics of the stories are amazing now & there are a ton of stories. I love the detailed sound effects of tapping on different items & hearing glass, metal, wood, leaves, pianos, guitars, etc, etc. Very original. And yes, I can sleep well after doing the scenes & I've had sleeping issues for 30 years. A great alternative to sleeping pills! Worth the price now. Keep up the progress & excellent work.

Annoying stories and not soothing. I don’t usually write reviews but you guys seriously need to work on your voice overs. This app supposed to lull me to sleep and become relaxed, not make me anxious and restless. I would say the only thing you have right is the music before you sign in but that’s not even accessible. Some of the visuals are nice as well. The selections of supposed soothing sounds are not much better than a white noise maker machine. Most of the narrator voices lead a lot to be desired in terms of relaxation. They might sound a little better if they actually had some affects and ambience that matched the environment. Most of them have no business doing voice overs. AI would do a better job. Until you can choose the default gender and voice style, I will never use this app. The stories are really not relatable, and while the app tries its hardest, it misses the mark. I expected a much better experience, especially for the price. I’m extremely disappointed.

Amazing ❤️. I have to say you guys did a great job creating this app. You can see tremendous amount of hard work and love that was put in in order to achieve an amazing quality product. I absolutely fell in love with introducing chapter. Episode about the hut on chicken legs is my favorite. I remember my grandma telling me this story in my childhood and I was so happy to see it here. However I was little bit disappointed to see that in next chapters of sleepscapes there is no calming voice telling the story. As I understand you are currently working on that, so that’s cool. As someone said in previous reviews it would be great if you were able to turn on the story and go to matching speepscape episode. Otherwise Loona is an amazing creation that helps me fall asleep and brings me felling of nostalgia like I’m in my childhood again and someone telling me this amazing stories. It also would be great if you could create an episode about winter forest or something like that. The idea of falling asleep while listening the story about snowy trees and mountains is calming. I definitely will recommend my friends and family to download Loona, because now I can’t imagine going to bed without it. ❤️ In this hard times and with everything that’s going on in the world Loona is like an island of calmness. You guys are great, thank you for creating this app, Anastasiia P.S: узнала о вас после интервью у Дудя, вы космос. ❤️

Great way to calm the mind. I have multiple autoimmune diseases and wake up everyday to a strict routine of diet, physical activity, medications and injections. I am also on the autistic spectrum. Incorporating mental health practices is essential in keeping me going in an effective way. With the constant “go go go” of my life, I enjoy using Loóna as a way to slow myself down, rest my body throughout the day when necessary. The stories are well written, the music so relaxing, the graphics are vibrant and eye catching. I find myself invested in the entire experience. The breathing exercises that were eventually added are an added bonus. I am a creative by nature and profession. So, I also enjoy the artistic aspect on days when I am unable to hold a paint brush. I really enjoy this app and am so glad I found it 2 yrs ago. I even named my cat Loóna lol! Anyway, definitely recommend everyone give it a try.

Love the App/Concept, Hate the Restrictions. I really enjoy this app before bed, it is very calming and the 3D moveable images are beautiful. However, I absolutely hate that the app restricts you to 1 sleepscape per night AND doesn’t let you choose which one you do. I think this would be fine if someone was using the app for free... but if I’m going to pay for an app i think restrictions like this are ridiculous. I understand the purpose of the app is to make you tired and calm, not keep you awake on your phone... but if I’m paying for it, it should be my choice on how i use it. It’s also not fair to those who take longer to wind down like myself, i could probably do 2-4 before i would be fully tired and calm but I’m restricted to 1 and essentially robbed of enjoying the apps full potential. The inability to choose which sleepscape i do is also extremely frustrating. If I’m not interested in a specific sleepscape i shouldn’t be forced to do it... but i am because i can’t move to the next one until it’s complete. There’s a very large selection available and instead of doing ones i want I’m forced to do ones I’m not interested in doing. Also ridiculous if I’m going to pay for the app. If these 2 things were changed i would happily give this app 5 stars. After reading other reviews, both of these things seem to be highly disliked by most people. Would recommend removing the restrictions, or at least making it 3-5 sleepscapes per night with the ability to choose your own.

It works but.... Okay don’t get me wrong it works great. On the stories I can get focused on. I love being able to hear the history of origami cranes but I also don’t care about some guys old a parent meant. I would love the option to skip around and choose the ones I want. But without that option I feel like I severely wasted my money. I know you are going to come at me with the sound scapes. But let’s be real we can get that from a variety of apps and sleepiest has more options than you there. I would say most people came here for you sleepscapes and the timer on top of the fact that I have to do the story you say when you say I can do it.... I wish I could get my money back. ( to be clear I tried to do the one week free trial and it immediately started my subscription. So I never got your free trial. I didn’t get to know that this app was going to give me a 5 minute treat every 18 hours for how much I spent.) overall I’m just disappointed with my options and the fact I’m not allowed to look at any of said options...

Big change led to app not being as flexible. My daughter, who struggles to fall asleep and has tried a lot of different methods, found your app a few months ago. It was wonderful and it was really helping her. We bought a subscription. Then one of the updates removed the ability to color a sleepscape yourself without narration (obviously after you had already done the narration previously). This has completely changed my daughter’s use of the app and it is no longer as beneficial to her. One of things she valued was being able to color a sleepscape herself without narration on nights where she didn’t feel a need for a full narration and just wanted to do a bit of something before laying down. She still will do a new sleepscape when available, but it is hard to justify continuing a subscription for her when the app has now become less flexible. You had a really good thing going on and the update that took away the timing constraints was great. It’s a shame you felt the need to remove the flexibility of coloring yourself after you had done the narration.

I almost never read reviews.. I can’t explain to you how amazing this app is. As someone with cptsd, ocd, and insomnia this is better than any of the medicines I’m on. I’ve had this app for a while, today being my first day using it. “How can you vouch for something you’ve only used once?” You ask? Trust me, after getting into a fight with the only person who has access to me and somewhat helps, this app made me feel better in minutes. It’s not distant, feeling like a YouTuber that reads to you or something, it involves you in the story. It feels like someone’s in front of you, talking. You learn new things, and it customized everything. From the background noise to the voice and setting, as well as asking you what you want at the moment, giving you 6 options to help best meet your needs. I highly highly recommend.

A scam, be careful with the subscription page. I was excited to try the app out and downloaded it, as I thought it would help me develop healthy sleep habits. However, soon after opening the app, I saw that it mainly offers music and sleep casts, and I’m not really a fan of falling asleep with my phone. I wanted to unsubscribe and clicked around in the ‘manage subscription’ screen, and was confused what happened. There was no clear notification whatsoever of the changes around the membership status. It was late, so I put my phone down and some time later saw a charge of 30$ from loona in my bank account! I went back to the app and found out that the subscription changed to quarterly!! I have absolutely no idea how it happened, the subscription mgmt is extremely confusing and goes too fast. That was definitely not a conscious choice. I’ve written to loona but they refused to reimburse. Not going to give another try to this app and recommend the users to be careful with the payment page until it’s fixed!

Worth the download, worth the money!. Loona is a amazing app. It draws you in with it’s beautiful visuals, and offers experiences that you can’t get anywhere else. You can hear stories, play sleepscapes, and even listing to the tracks from the sleepscapes. One part of it I absolutely adore is that they really cater to you- they ask for your preferences in color, genre, and just overall give you a lovely experience. I wasn’t sure if I wanted a sleepscape subscription but after playing just one sleepscape I immediately purchased it. It’s really immersive and gets to in the mood to sleep. The voiceacters are outstanding- their smooth voices makes it easy to get comfy and fall asleep listening to a story reading. I definitely encourage you to try this if you want to go to sleep comfortable, relaxed, and calmed. Loona is just amazing!

Fantastic app!!. I have suffered from insomnia for a very long time. One day I was desperately looking for any kind of app that could help me fall asleep. This one was it! I mean, I downloaded quite a few and they’ve all been deleted from my phone because this one is everything. I did the free trial at first and liked it, got a bit confused about layout and sections and how things work, deleted it because I was frustrated and the very next day I bought the year subscription. A little expensive if you think of it in terms of an app, but not really when you consider how much content there is and updated content comes out regularly. Oh! And the best part, it really does train you into learning how to fall asleep. It’s now taking me two nights to complete an episode because I fall asleep in the middle, and I am very much okay with that. All this to say, this is a fantastic app and I am so very happy that I found it.

IT WORKS!!!. So I love this app even though I think it is just a tad bit overpriced especially when it comes to the yearly option. However because this app helps me so much I did go ahead and pay for a year since there was a major discount. I love the sleep escapes and the stories that go along with it. I find that the 2 male narrator’s voices to be the most soothing for me. This app has really helped turn my brain off from thinking so much even trying to sleep. The 5 min escapades even help ease my anxiety. I do also love the music and ambiance sounds, but there needs to be a playlist option where the music will change on its own and not have to do it manually. Also if there could be an option to mix your own ambiance sounds kinda like better sleep has that would be great and I would think that this app would be actually worth paying the full price.

Has Become a Favorite. I look forward to my sleepscape coloring session every evening. The scenes are charming, and I love seeing each element appear as it receives its color. It’s a great way to wind down, de-stress, and relax. A terrific way to end OR start the day. I’ve enjoyed several of the bedtime stories as well, and often fall asleep with the soundscape on. I REALLY appreciate it having no ads. What a breath of fresh air. The guided coloring is so delicious! I hope you bring it back. My free trial is soon to be over so we’ll see what it “costs” to remain no charge but depending on the price, I may just go ahead and subscribe. EDIT About a year after subbing and loving Loóna even more than before. The option to passively hear the story and watch the coloring is a good upgrade. The stories are all calming and drifty. I don’t subscribe to many apps, and most of those I use for the year and cancel, but I plan on renewing this charming, very enjoyable app.

My favorite app of all time. I cannot talk this up enough. Literally my favorite app in existence. I’ve done every sleep-scape at least 3 times now. The immersiveness and attention to detail is what sets this app apart from all others. Each night I find myself excited to crawl into bed, and I hardly make it half way into an episode before falling asleep, an absolutely astounding feat for someone so prone to insomnia. I used to stay up until the wee hours of the morning, scrolling endlessly on picture boards and social media. Absolutely mindlessly. This app has made my nights mindful, peaceful, enriching and relaxing, while still scratching my screen time itch. I truly love this app, every single episode within it, and everyone involved in making it. Thank you, Loona, for changing my nights, and thus my life.

Calming & Relaxing. I never write reviews for apps but this one deserves it! I’d give this more than five stars if I could! I’ve suffered from anxiety and adhd my entire life and I tend to spend hours ruminating each night. I’ve tried many things over the years to help me relax and unwind before bed but nothing has ever helped until I found Loóna!! The sleepscapes help my mind to focus on the story being told and by the end I’m feeling so calm and my mind has slowed down. The music is all so incredibly peaceful and the immersive stories are great to listen to when I’m ready to fall asleep. Im falling asleep faster and seem to be sleeping more throughout the night than before finding this app. I did not think this app would actually help me but I am so grateful to have found something that actually works for me! 💜

Disappointed. Once you download they give you the opportunity to play only one of their puzzle which is “The Dragon Shrine”. It’s great but then you just realize you want to continue to play but everything is ruined because it’s locked. I started to be stressed because of it. I tried to dig the app to see if any puzzles were open to play but every time I clicked something a music or story came up but no game. Nobody wants to hear ur stories. We just wanna play. Not everyone likes to pay right away. Some people need to try a few time before paying. I also don’t trust free trials. Feels like a nightmare when you try to cancel trials on App Store and because of this I never want to use free trials. I will not support apps that ask us to pay. Apps should be free, you already earn from ads you make us watch! We don’t pay for most apps and they are successful. I play UNO everyday. I never paid anything since two years and I watch ads without problems. Your puzzle is magical but unfortunately I won’t pay and now I will remove the app!

Thank you!!!!. I am not one to review things, and I always feel as though things that are negative should really be said in private and not in a public forum. But, as it lends context to my review, I’ll tell you that in the last few weeks I have been sort of upset with the fact that I was paying for access to all these sleepscapes only to discover that access was restricted to the evening hours. I, for one, felt like since I rarely was able to finish one before falling asleep, paying for access to more than that (at the time that I purchased the subscription, there was a 1 sleepscape /day option. Not sure if that is the case now). Anyway, all that to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for opening up the sleepscapes to daytime too. As a mother of two little girls, the ability to get in a quick rest in the middle of the day when I am able is invaluable.

Paid Member Can’t Access. I absolutely love the stories and the narrators voice is superb! The visuals are astonishing however, as a paid member I would expect to have access to the stories at my leisure and not have to wait a whole day to access the next one. For example, I started a Sleepscape story the other night but couldn’t finish it because I fell asleep. I assumed I could finish it the following evening but now it’s telling me to wait another 10 hours. Due to my schedule that will be impossible and I’ll be waiting and waiting and waiting for the next story. I don’t feel like I’m getting my moneys worth. I understand it takes considerable time to create each Sleepstory and you fear you would run out of content if paid users had access 24 -7. Perhaps you can fix the area that I mentioned, starting a story and being able to finish without an extremely frustrating timer. If I’m paying for something, I do not want restrictions, especially the dollar amount I paid! Thank you:))

Thank you. I am a notorious insomniac and am a physician. I often come home with my mind racing but needing to be ready for sleep quickly to be rested well enough for a new day. I have tried many things since my teens to overcome my sleepless nights. This app has been a miracle. The stories are delightful and certainly takes my mind from 100+ mph hour to a snail’s pace. Now that I have been using the app for some time, the sound of the app opening in an odd Pavlovian manner, triggers me for sleep. The episodes are just long enough and if I’m still restless, listening to the stories will help me nudge me into dreamland. Absolutely amazing effort! I have read some of the more critical reviews and I have to counter and say I am glad I can only do one story a night. Otherwise, I would feel like I would have to keep going which would defeat the purpose. The cost is more than worth amount of sleep I have gained since using the app. I very rarely write a review, but I must say that this app has honestly changed my life. Additionally, your online presence and response overall makes the experience so personal and unlike any other app I have ever come across. Lastly, your winter episode series has been so astonishingly beautiful. Keep up the excellent work. Thank you for your creativity, time, effort, and support of the mind, body and spirit of others. 💜🌙

So grateful for this app!. This app is so so helpful for helping me unwind and fall asleep. It also helps my partner who is a lifelong insomniac. I was skeptical that it would help me feel relaxed with the bright colors and interactivity, but it is so soothing. I’ve listened to enough stories now (~2 months) that my body immediately relaxes when I start a new sleep story and I start yawning. And I seem to get better sleep on the nights I play a sleep story. 100% worth the cost. Some feedback for the app (-1 star): 1. Several times I’ve woken up in the night and opened the app to listen to the sleep music. Many of the songs / soundscapes under the “sleep” section have birdsong, which doesn’t make sense. Birds sing during the day, most actively at dawn, and this is not sleep-inducing for me. It has the opposite effect. I’d suggest not having these under “sleep” — maybe under a “gentle wake-up” section. 2. In some stories, the viewing mechanics are slightly frustrating / take me out of my peaceful zone. There are some instances where I can only view something that I’m being asked to color in the far periphery / partially out of view. I’d love the ability to move the camera in a way that allows each item to be centered or mostly centered. Thank you for this beautiful and effective app!

Close but not there. I am enjoying this app to some uses. I’ve had it for a few weeks now. I loved the thought of something to help me relax. The sleep sounds are amazing. The sleep stories were strange… but they work! So I ended up e joying them. The long 25 minute relaxation coloring meditation stories are so perfect…. But they are limited. I wish I had more of these offered. They seem to be repeating already. The 5 minute coloring meditations are always repeating…I think there is only 4 or so of them. I finished them quickly in the first week. I would love to see a lot more of these. They are deeply reflective… relaxing and I could use these during my work day to stay focused. But there does not seem to be enough for this to be an option. Not even enough of them to use to start my mornings without reusing them constantly. What am I paying for??? Too bad because this is SO close to being wonderful. Add a few more touches and it would be perfect
