Mobile ordering doesn’t work (yet). When you place a mobile order you have to select the “I’m here” button in the app when you’re near the restaurant, but it always says you’re not close enough to the restaurant, even if you’re inside the restaurant itself. Basic troubleshooting like restarting the app, restarting the phone, enabling all permissions including setting to “Always” for location, and even reinstalling the app did not help. Fortunately Freddy’s customer service at their restaurants is great and they took my order the normal way, but the app itself needs to have this issue fixed before it is released.

It’s ok. The user interface is nice and clean. It gives you a lot of customization options. However lately when I’ve used the app I’ll try to go to my cart and it’ll give me an error message and then clear out my entire cart and I have to start over. Or when I get there and click “I’m here,” it says there’s an error but it still seems to go through at the store, so I don’t know what’s happening there. Also, they won’t let another person pick up the order. You can’t click “I’m here” unless you’re literally there. I kind of understand why but it’s not very convenient. When we tried to have someone else pick it up and I couldn’t click “I’m here,” they said we either had to reorder everything to bring the phone there, so that was a big inconvenience.

DONT ORDER WITH THIS APP. I used to love this place and I downloaded the app to make ordering easier. I ended having the WORST customer service experience I’ve ever had. I ordered with the app and when I got my food it was the completely wrong order but some how the physical receipt in the bag was correct. I called immediately and there was nothing they could do. Called the manager, said it was DoorDash’s fault but I can’t complain to DoorDash BECAUSE I USED THIS APP. Tried contacting Freddy’s general customer service as well and no response. I won’t be support Freddy’s anymore but if you are then I suggest ordering through a different app so any problem that arise can actually be take care of.

Bring back the old app. The new app is terrible, it has me wishing for the previous version back. Overall it feels clumsy and difficult to find menu items. You can no longer upgrade your drink to a concrete like you could with the old app (or in store), and sometimes when you scan a deal or the app in the store it doesn’t work and you have to close the app and open it again. Not all drink options are listed either. The only improvement I see is that you can now schedule a pickup so that it is ready when you arrive.

New App is Horrible. Freddy’s should go back to the previous version of the app or at least adjust the current app to have the same functionality as the previous version. Why can’t I order extra options of the same item that comes on a burger? I can remove any of them but if I want extra, there is no way that can happen (for instance extra pickles, or lettuce). I used to order from Freddy’s at least once a week or more. I used to walk in and people would know my order and say hi to me. However, since the app has changed I haven’t gone in over a year. I don’t want to place my order at the counter. I would rather order on the app, but now I don’t like the app functionality, so I now go to different restaurants to get food. By not allowing people to order extra of some items you are losing out on a consistent customer because of this. The first time I used the new app, I thought I hit the “+” sign to add extra pickles and lettuce. Well, guess what the app did. It removed pickles and lettuce from my burger, because you can’t order extras. I didn’t realize this until after I picked up my order and got home. That’s when I found out I had a burger with no lettuce and no pickles. I was not a happy camper and have never ordered a burger again from Freddy’s. Please fix this app to add that functionality!!!!!

Please update to allow non location based pick up. It is absolutely ridiculous that they cannot even process an order unless the same phone that placed the order is at the location. So many people order and have others go pick it up that may be out or coming from elsewhere to make things easier. Surely the developers considered this when creating the feature. I suggest adding scheduled pick ups or adding a way for the order to be sent without the original phone the order was placed having to be there. I agree with many others as well that the waiting defeats the purpose of ordering ahead. Scheduled ordering seems like it would solve a lot of these issues. I just jumped through so many hoops just to have someone else be able to pick up the order that was placed and paid for already. Please fix/improve this.

Train Wreck. To start with, you have to go in to get the order, no drive through, no curb side. Second they can’t understand specific orders, even when enter correctly in the app, it either doesn’t show on their end or they are just idiots. Not necessarily related to the app or maybe it is but they have our most recent order to someone else and after three tries we were still missing the fries that should come with the meal. The app should be the most full proof way of getting an order correct! Take some lessons from Sonic, Chick-fil-A, Wendy’s, etc…

The “I’m Here” system is GARBAGE. App refuses to send the order to the restaurant until you’re literally in the parking lot according to your phone’s GPS location. As if that weren’t annoying enough because you have no way of ordering ahead, it doesn’t reliably detect if you’re close enough or not and will just refuse to allow you to check in. OH! And as a bonus, you’re not allowed to use the drive through, you’re required to go inside. Even though, as I type, there is literally a sign in front of my car that reads “please check in on the app, we’ll bring your order to you”. 2 stars instead of 1 just because I like this restaurant and mobile ordering generally enough to just suffer through, but ffs please fix these idiotic problems. Whoever is in charge of the design of the workflow with this app should be fired.

Great Food App Stinks. Whose idea was it for your food to start being cooked when you say I’m here? I’ll just go through drive thru then. And why are none of your orders on your account you say I’m here and you can’t go back to tour order or see any past ones. Great food but lots of bugs that need fixing I always have a problem with the app since the summer

Could be better. The app is not bad, with one exception, but is not as good as other apps for similar restaurants. The new app is supposed to allow entering the barcode from a receipt to get credit for an order, but so far, I keep getting an error. Other apps will scan the barcode, so there’s no need to enter a long string of numbers. Otherwise, the app is reasonably easy to navigate. It would be nice to view the menu without having to start an order.

Stupid, illogical setup with too many steps. I love Freddy’s burgers and fries, but this app is horrible and it hasn’t worked either time I’ve tried to use it. It requires you to use location services and even when that’s on, the “I’m here” button doesn’t work. I stood here at the restaurant stupidly assuming the thing worked only to have someone ask me if I was waiting. Apparently the app hadn’t sent my order through. Don’t waste your time. Go to the drive-thru!

Ripoff and missed opportunities. The major issue I have with this app is on an order with an $11 subtotal, it’s charging almost $8 for sales tax in a city with a local sales tax rate of 8.25%. Where the rest of that is going, shoulder shrug but no one has sales tax rates over 50% in the U.S. Secondly, seasonal items are not available via the app. So if I want a seasonal concrete I have to go thru the drive thru for that and then park in curbside for my food order - I usually do mobile orders so I can have it made exactly how I want it with as little margin for error as possible. Lastly, make the rewards simpler. I’ll never understand why people have to complicate the simple why not just have it be a $5 rewards at X percentage rate? Instead, again - it says specialty concretes are an available reward but they don’t show up on the redeem list and employees don’t know how to redeem what’s not on the list. Most other restaurants points convert to dollars and you scan a barcode to deduct the dollars off the transaction but everyone has to reinvent the wheel even when it makes absolutely no sense and is overly complicated. Also, after placing my mobile order got a server error and double checked pending orders and order history - order was not present in either place. After going thru the drive thru they informed me that although the app threw and error saying the order couldn’t be completed and the order was nowhere to be found it did however go thru.

App is slow, laggy, and click-happy. I’m super glad that the app no longer requires you to use your location. I usually order for someone else to pick up so it doesn’t work, plus I don’t like to have my location on. However, the app itself is still pretty slow. There are times you go to click something and it just takes you back to the order screen. There are also so many clicks you have to go through when ordering. I’m not sure if the clicking can be streamlined since there are a lot of options, but put together with the lag it feels like ordering takes forever. If the lag can be fixed then the clicking wouldn’t feel too bad.

Drive thru window. Placed an order for a burger and chocolate shake. She told me my order was 3.81 or so 3 something. Well I knew that was not correct. So I pay her at the window 10 something and she hands me my “shake”. Turns her back from the window but it was cracked and I tried to get her attention 3 times but I was ignored. Finally she turns sideways and I wave to her and she gives me that look like what do you want. So I ask her if this was a shake or just ice cream and she said it’s a shake. I said I’m asking because it’s so thick I can’t get it through the straw so I thought maybe they had given me ice cream. She mumbled something under her breath but I heard her say something about getting out of the window. I said I’m sorry I didn’t hear what you said. So she plainly says I’m just fixing to get you out of my window. So a young man comes up to the window and asks if he could help me and I told him I had ordered a shake and it was really too thick and I questioned her if it was just ice cream. He said he would fix it for me and he did. He waited until I tried it to make sure it was ok. It was and I thanked him. Then I told him that she needs to learn who the customer is. I drove off. Her attitude and rolling of her eyes is so tacky. I am not one that usually complains but she needs more training before waiting on customers. She is not helping your business win customers for sure.

Thanks for rewarding us!. I love everything about this app! The only thing I would improve is the example for receipts. I have now been in multiple times where the cashiers machine isn’t recording points properly or their system isn’t set up yet. So when I go to enter a receipt manually the example is very confusing as I believe it says store number 110 in the small red box and then the big red box says something like 050. Which is it?

App will not process order. How does Freddy’s expect to make any money with an app that doesn’t work? I hesitate to even write a review on this app because I fear nobody at Freddy’s is going to make any changes to fix it. I tried 2 times on March 6, 2021 to place a large mobile order. I had 7 items in the cart. I tried to check out, and it says “Empty Cart.” An empty cart? I had 7 items in there until it was time to actually pay for your food, and then all the food vanished. This happened twice! So do you know what we did Freddy’s? We went somewhere else that had a better app and that would take our money in exchange for food. Please do not put an app on the Apple App Store that doesn’t work. Fix it, because you are losing a lot of business. Terrible, terrible job.

Horrible user experience with the new app!. While the previous app was not the best, it seemed to work most of the time. The introduction of the new app earlier this month should be written up as a case study on how NOT to an upgrade. I guess Freddy’s is assuming that their customers are loyal enough to put with the opaque steps required to get the new app linked to an account, the multi day outage when the app couldn’t connect to the backend database, points not credited etc. And the customer contact form is a complete joke, requiring multiple steps to just get a screen where you can enter your question or request. What’s with using Jot Form as part of this torture? It’s a good thing they know how to run restaurants, given how badly they’ve handled the app.

Freddy’s. Picked up orders for my coworkers and myself today and the girl that helped me was so nice! She sacked all my orders into bigger bags, got my sauce and made sure I had napkins. Couldn’t come here fast before because the app was only available if you were close to the restaurant and with one person going for everyone’s lunch it wouldn’t work. Thanks! We can definitely come more for lunch

New app works great. The new app fixes the issues that had them replace it with a new developer. The free double burger or reg concrete for re-signing up is a valuable giveaway! I had a substantial balance of points from the old app and they were able to transfer it over - be patient it takes a couple days. I have used this new one a couple of times and it works better than most competitor apps that I have.

I can’t order ahead. This was easily a 5 star app until they introduced order from the app. When I select my store, the order ahead option doesn’t show up. I will give it a 5 when i can order ahead. Update: I’m super excited that the last update allowed me to be be able to order in the app, we’ll, almost. First off, I have enough points to redeem a free meal, but the app won’t let me redeem the free meal, it finally let me complete the purchase once I took the free meal off and paid for it. Whatever. So I go to pay; where is the option to use Pay, I can use pay at the store, why can’t I use it online. These 2 thing are minor, what really gets me is that when I go to order, I can’t hit the order now button until I get to the store. What is this about, what is the point on order ahead if I still can order until I get to the store, it completely defeats the purpose, I live 5 minutes away, I should be able to order from home and I guarantee that I will make it to the store before by food is ready. This app is garbage and needs a lot of work.

Scam. Logged me out and I only have two emails and it’s neither one of those. I had a lot of points coming with your promotion emails that I received that I can’t login with. Also doesn’t have a forgot email button to find out what your email is that you have used. Won’t be back, was a big fan until this.

Online Ordering Poorly executed. The app does not clearly show that online ordering is NOT available in my area. I just keeps looping me back to the same list of stores and then the user feels like they are doing something wrong. I didn’t see this until I started searching other areas an found an order button. Worst part is that my local store has parking spaces for mobile ordering even though the app and website don’t support it. Make it very clear and easy otherwise next time it’s simpler to go to Five Guys.

App would not allow checkout. We love Freddy’s food but the app is in need of a major update. The app is clunky and slow to navigate. It is not intuitive for order entry compared with every other food ordering app we've used and does not allow all customizations such as selecting a single patty option for their California burger. Once we finally managed to enter the entire order for our group of five, which took much longer than it should have, the app would not allow us to transition to the checkout screen. We received a message indicating an “error validating basket” for ten straight minutes, at which point we had already arrived at the store we were trying to order from. Please make a better app or remove it entirely so it doesn’t continue to waste time and energy for customers.

Meh. The app is extremely slow and the windows that pop up when you’re making a selection (type of side, drink you want, etc) are weirdly small. Also it’s silly to make people go inside to pick up carry out. I’ve never been anywhere that had a drive thru that didn’t let carry out orders be picked up at the drive thru. Now, the girl at the speaker told me I could pull up to the window even though I was technically supposed to go inside. But I misunderstood and just drove past the window and went inside. Regardless, silly that we’re supposed to go inside.

App was great, pickup experience bad. The app itself is great. Ordering was simple as expected. I ordered three regular concretes. When I arrived at Freddy’s to pick up there were no other customers there in the parking lot or drive thru. I parked in the mobile app pickup spot and indicated I was there on the app. The app then instructed me to go inside. I decided to pull thru the drive thru as I didn’t think I would have to go inside. The young man at the drive through said he couldn’t give me my order through the drive thru because it wouldn’t fit through the window. I said- what do you mean? I ordered three concretes, why wouldn’t they fit thru the window. He then said I needed to come inside. I said I had already paid for the concretes and just needed to pick them up and he insisted I needed to come inside. So, I parked, went inside in my slippers and waited for my three concretes. It’s ridiculous to order through the mobile app but be require to go inside to pick up when there is a drive through window and no other customers. What is the point in using the app at all? I could have just gone through the drive through.

Mishap. The screen when you order wasn’t working so I couldn’t see if she was getting everything I wanted correctly I ordered two kids meals two adult meals one a hamburger with the meat and bun only and it came with cheese all inside it so my kid wouldn’t eat it then they gave us eight jalapeño fry sauces and my kids would never eat that I wouldn’t either but for a little kids meal they wanted real fry sauce I ordered a single California they gave me and charged me a double, shakes and fries were good! Just bummed

sneaky tracking of location. This app requests to use bluetooth. There’s no reason why they need all that information to deliver a good app/restaurant experience — they’re likely using it to their advantage to track your location all the time, not just at the restaurant. I downloaded this app because I wanted to use the Freddy’s rewards program, but I was really disappointed when I saw the bluetooth access requested. That’s either a poor app developer decision and needs to be fixed asap, or it’s an intentional violation of our privacy rights, and Freddy’s knows many of its customers won’t know that that’s what bluetooth access means here.

Why?. The only benefit I saw to the app was not having to wait to order. I still had to wait longer than drive thru to get an order I placed ten minutes earlier. Plus, I wasn’t given a receipt and didn’t see to ask for the reward points while I was in the store. I placed the order through the app. Shouldn’t that be able to show how many points I earned? I should have just gone through drive-thru.

No drive through option. Why don’t you have a drive thru option on your app? I assumed carry out orders could be taken through drive thru. I ordered my food thru the app like it says on the menu. I told her my name and now this girl is telling me I need to come in and grab my meal. I think that’s ridiculous. If I ordered ahead, i should’ve been able to pick it up via drive through. Totally defeats the purpose of convenience.

Always logging me out. I LOVE Freddy’s. I think their prices are reasonable, the food is great, and my family loves eating here. I also love using the rewards through the app. But time and time (and time!) again, I am getting logged out at some corporate level. No reason. I literally open the app to scan at the register and it says I should login again. When I do (with my saved password!) it says I have to reset my password. When I try that, it refuses to log me in and I am ALWAYS losing my points. I would give this app one star but chose two because I love Freddy’s. Love the restaurant, HATE the app.

No point in using this app. I rarely leave reviews on apps, but I really had to leave one on this one. This app is the most pointless app that I’ve ever used and that’s saying a lot. The only thing that this app is good for is maybe to review the menu and see pictures of food. It’s never successful in finding a location that’s less than four hours away, and I live about a mile and a half away from a Freddy’s. I have tried multiple times to reset my password, every time It says email sent, I never receive the email. I have reached out to their technical support and I’m awaiting an update, I am going to delete this app if I do not get an update within 24 hours. I am hoping that this app develops into something great, at this time it’s a no for me

New Freddys in Coralville Iowa. The Freddys just opened in Coralville Iowa on June 16th 2020. YEAH! The first time we had Freddys was in Cedar Rapids Iowa and we were so impressed. I do hope they keep expanding in SE Iowa. They are a little more expensive than other fast food places but you do get what you pay for. As for the employees please keep doing what you are doing. You can be proud working for an upscale place like Freddys. As time goes by I will be updating this review.

I LOVE FREDDIE’S!. I really enjoy eating their food and I love the app bc it enables one to gain points w every purchase, which can be redeemed for free menu items. You can actually get free combos if I’m not mistaken too if you have enough points! Only drawback is it usual costs me between $25-30 to get food for just TWO people…and com’on this IS fast food. But that’s why I don’t eat here more often

App needs an overhaul. I love the food at Freddys, my kids and I enjoys burgers and custards 3-4 times a month. I have been using, or should I say trying to use the app since I got it for the past 4 months or so. The app always struggles to open regardless of networking connection strength, no ordering options from the app, and a recipient entry option that has never worked for me and is a joke. It is almost mid-2020 and this food app falls as one of the worst out there. If Freddys wants this app to be as successful as their food they should take note of what Chick-Fil-A has done (they have the best food app around) and build something similar.

Pointless app. I will not use this app again because it serves no useful function. You cannot place your order ahead of time, since the app will not let you place the order until you are physically outside of the store, you may as well go in to order. I use apps for take out food so that when I get to the restaurant my food is ready and I can enter the store and leave with my food within 1 minute. I live a 5 minute drive from the location, and as an adult, I can properly allocate my time so I arrive shortly after my food is done being prepared. In fact, I have been writing this review while seated in my car waiting for my food to be prepared. Change this location function, it is pointless.

Location settings are stupid. I ordered through the app so my husband could pick up on his way home from work. When he arrived to the restaurant I tried clicking “I’m here” and it wouldn’t let me because the app tracks your location and it said I wasn’t close enough to the restaurant. My husband was in the freaking parking lot!!! So incredibly frustrating. In the future we’ll have to make an account and both sign in on the app on our phones I guess, but I had used my Facebook account to sign in and it would’ve been a hassle for him to download the app and somehow sign in with my Facebook info. I think it’s fairly common these days that people order meals on apps and someone else goes to pick it up. You need to make an option for this scenario or else make it very clear before ordering what your location settings are. Super annoying.

Good food but...... Always good food at Freddy’s however while we were dining I noticed no one maintaining the dining area. A bunch of high schoolers were all gathered behind the counter not minding each other’s space. No tops were put on the tea containers and that didn’t seem sanitary. When we left I went to the restroom and when I came out I noticed a couple sitting at the same booth we sat at and it was never wiped down. I cleaned it with a napkin though but that’s not sanitary. Covid-19 is still here!

Freddy’s App not up to date. I love Freddy’s- but not the app. Let me explain, Many of the Freddy’s stores are short on supplies and staff. If you order from the app, it states none of this and as I found out - when you order they make your food. But you can’t go in and pick it up (also many of the dine-in opportunities are closed). So now I have ordered on the app (which told me none of the issues Freddy’s is having) and I figure out that I have to get in the long drive up queue. By the time I get to the window everything I ordered is cold. Why have an app that isn’t updated to reflect reality. Had I known I had to wait in line anyway, I would have simply ordered in line. A simple warning in the app home page would work. For example, you may wish to order until you are in the drive up queue otherwise your food might be cold.

Can’t even Log In. Apparently with an update I was forced to log in again. But when trying to log in I got a message saying I needed to Sign Up again using my same email to have my account restored. Which I did. And my account was not restored. All of my rewards point and history are gone. My 3 year old accidentally signed me out after I saw this. Now when I try to log in again using the email and password I just signed up with (to “restore” my account), it will not log me in and I get the same message about Signing up again using my same email. This app is completely unusable and there’s no motivation to use it if my points won’t be tracked or kept! Need to fix this and do better.

Accomplishes order but difficult navigation and bugs. Accomplishes order but difficult navigation and bugs like not being able to add certain sides with combos. Another bug, on checkout if I want to redeem an award it won’t let you until you back out and add the same item to order first, then on checkout you can redeem. Why all the extra steps in an area that would be beneficial for value added items last minute?

Best fries I have ever had. I used to think McDonald’s french fries were the best but McDonald’s changed how they were making their fries probably the oil that they fried them in. And then there were several others that made great fries like Carl’s Junior or Wendy’s and Sonic but when I tried Freddys french fries I was hooked for life. In fact I’ll go to Freddys just to get french fries they are so good in fact I think I’ll do that today. Thank you Freddys for making the best french fries ever. And I love your Hawaiian concretes.

The drive-through is faster. Listen, the app is fine, it’s the pick up experience that’s terrible. When you use the app you cannot go through the drive-through, you have to go inside to pick up your food. If you order the food, you have to use the phone that you ordered on to hit a button called “I’m here”, but the problem is the button doesn’t reliably work. You could literally be inside the restaurant and it won’t work. The other problem is that you might have someone getting food for you and they won’t have your phone. So you can’t get your order without a bunch of hassle. A geotracking feature with ETA like the Walmart app might be helpful, but until that is solved, just let people pick it up in the freaking drive-through.

Very disappointed. I ordered the same thing i frequently order. Fries & mini concrete, no hot fudge, double caramel. First off I was charged extra for the caramel, yes only $.90 but it does add up & nothing was reduce for the hot fudge i didn’t get. Then fries were cold & chewy, like they had been sitting there for a while. I absolutely love Freddy’s & don’t hesitate to tell others about it. I couldn’t believe this was what I was given.

Location Tracking for Pick Ups. First off, I love Freddy’s and have been a customer for many years. However, this app needs some tweaking. The actual ordering process is great but there isn’t a way to schedule a pick up time and they require tracking to actually make sure you’re at the restaurant. This was a problem today when I tried to buy my coworker lunch and she was going to pick it up while running other errands but it wouldn’t let me send my order because I wasn’t physically there. Hope this changes in the future ✌🏻

Freddy’s app. Everything is super user friendly but there is something that needs to be changed! When ordering it’s easy to remove stuff from a combo in regards to condiments but if you want extra of something that it already comes with, the plus sign is there but there is no way to increase or get more pickles or mustard for instance! You can only remove it and if you click on “add more” the condiments that come on burger originally aren’t available, only everything else that’s an option! Very frustrating & there isn’t even a spot to make a note about it! Also there is no way to “assign” a name to each item ordered…to help keep track of whose is whose!

Love My Freddy’s. We’ve been eating at Freddy’s once, sometimes twice a week for the past 6 or 7 years. It’s my FAVORITE place to eat. I love the thin patties, fries and the yummy custard with heath toffee, whipped topping and cherry. We don’t travel much but when we do, we have to scope out a Freddy’s so we can get our fix. Anytime we have our grandsons, it’s a known fact that we have to go to Freddy’s ❣️ LOVE. MY. FREDDY’S.

Need more drink options to choose in app. I love the ability to place my orders in the app, but one thing that needs to be updated is the drink selection. When ordering a combo, there are far fewer drink options to choose from than actually available at my nearest location. I always mark a random drink and hope someone sees my special request on my sandwich for a fruit punch instead. They never do. Having fruit punch and all available drinks to choose from in the ordering process would fix this one minor issue!

Lost old account and points. Like others, tried logging in to previous account, password reset email never came after multiple tries for a week. After the most recent attempt, the pop up was a bit different, saying that I should just do a new sign up with my previous email address to restore my account and points (had over 2000 that I tried to redeem right as they shut down their old app with no advance warning). Did that, 0 points in my account, got email saying thanks for joining Freddy’s Rewards with a hamburger reward as if I never was a member before. Sure hope all those points are not gone when they abruptly shuttered their old app with no warning.

Ain’t Revamped Sh*t!. I haven’t been to Freedy’s in a minute until corporate emailed me and said that they revamped their app. Downloaded it and transferred my account worked great. I deleted the app to save space then reinstalled it on the day of my visit and when it came to logging back in nothing happened and I couldn’t see points or anything. I went through the forgot password wizard full of crap. I told myself to move on and go somewhere else. Out of all of the fast food apps I’ve tried this is the WORST BY FAR!!! Ain’t revamped Sh*t! Don’t download because you will be frustrated.

You Call These Rewards?. I’ve been waiting for a Freddy’s app as all my other frequented quick seed restaurants have them. Even told Freddy’s a few weeks ago on Twitter to get on it, and they replied that they’re working on it. Well, here it is. A fairly feature-lacking experience. I was hoping for some offers, perhaps a weekly digital coupon like buy 1 get 1, maybe the occasional free small custard with a meal. Nope. You have to spend $200 to get a free meal. By comparison, you can save that $7 in a couple of uses of McDonald’s app. Freddys, if you’re going to offer an app, make it worth our while.

Pretty Useless App. App provides location of stores and menu listing. You also get a number to tell associate to record your points. No ability to submit an order or pay without talking to a live person. Not cool in these times.

App didn’t work. Just ordered for the first time with the app. Drove to the location, which is not near me. Tapped that I am here and nothing happened, even sitting in their parking lot. Had to go in and stand in line to see if they received my order. They didn’t. Told me I just needed to cancel it. Then I had to go back stand in line again to order my food. The app is not worth it. Took longer that sitting in line in the drive through or going in directly.

Stupid is the only word that comes to mind.. The fact that you can’t place your order until you’re literally there completely defeats the purpose of order ahead. I tried to send my brother to get my food only for me to have to cancel my order at the register because they were saying I had to drive up there with my phone. I was trying out Freddy’s for the first time and not only did I not get to try it but I will absolutely never go again. Please fix this terrible feature for others in the future.

Location with rude condescending staff. Placed a mobile order and drove to drive thru to pick up the food. I was then told I had to come inside. Keep in mind, now I have a vehicle behind me and no way out of the drive thru. Instead of politely handing me my food, the window chick refused and made me park and go inside. No apologetic tone and horrible customer service. Needless to say after being a loyal customer I will not ever be going back to the Superstition Springs Location in Mesa, Az. Just unbelievable and the drive thru person cut the speaker off after I relayed I had a mobile order. 🤬🤬🤬🤬 #dobetter

Needs Work. App looks good for the most part, but it told me I was “too far away” from the restaurant to submit my order — despite STANDING INSIDE THE BUILDING.” Then when I tried restarting the app, it apparently lost my entire order but charged my card. So not only did I wind up having to go inside to order in the first place, there was no way for me to cancel my order to avoid paying twice. Besides that, none of the restaurant staff were trained to use mobile ordering, so for now, it really isn’t helpful in any way.

Protection. I appreciate the way they do phone ordering making sure the person picking it up is the one who ordered it from the app phone. Have had my Panera app hacked and over 200 dollars worth food ordered and charged to my account by unknown person in another county. And it came out of my bank to pay for it.

Mobile ordering is awful. Terrible app. You go through the whole process of placing a mobile order for pickup and THEN it tells you that you have to bring this exact phone with you. And it won’t let you “check in” if the phone isn’t at the restaurant. So I couldn’t order for my spouse who was driving. Actually I did order but then couldn’t check in and as a result apparently the order wouldn’t go through at all. Waste of time.

Have to go inside to pick up food. If you use the app to order, you have to go inside to pick up your food. And they won’t start making it until location services on your phone says you are in the store, so you have to stand around inside and wait. Completely pointless. The best thing to do would be to allow people to pick up orders through the drive through. That way, you can pay ahead and automatically get your points without making the employees type in a secret number. The Taco Bell app is an excellent example.

Credit Card Not Valid. I downloaded the app a few days ago and went to use it and was unable to. Several times it gives me an error that my credit card is invalid. I double checked the information and it was entered correctly. Other times I keep getting an error stating unable to communicate with the server. It’s been going on that way for five days now. Fix the app please!!

Easy to use, especially the keyboard. When it comes to restaurant apps, one of my main pet peeves is when the keyboard for your email fights with you. Some won’t have the @ in a convenient spot while others will auto caps whatever your first letter is. This app does not do that thankfully.

The Chik-Fil-A of Burgers. My family had lived in Kansas, Texas, and Missouri for my job. This organization is consistent with their service, hospitality, and product across all locations experienced. This is our go-to place for food while out for lunch. I compared to Chik-Fil-A due to the family friendly, cleanliness, and accuracy of meals.

Tyler Freddy’s. I love Freddy’s and we go there on a very regular basis but too many times I specifically tell them no cheese and they melt cheese on it~next time through the drive through, I tell them I’m bringing it back if they put cheese on~that time they do it right. However, if I don’t stress that I’m driving back through & handing their piece of meat back, they ignore when I say I do NOT want cheese! Tyler location is the worst one about that! Others seem to get it straight.

App out of sync with in store software. Just got an order today. Tried to redeem points but couldn’t because the terminals in my location had been upgraded to new software. So I ordered thing I could just put the new receipt in the app. Nope, the order is in now alphanumeric and the app my accepts numbers. So Joe I can’t use my points and my can’t add any new points from my purchases. What’s the point of a rewards program if can’t use them or collect them?

Mostly worthless app. Does not allow you to order ahead of time. You prepare your order but can not submit until you are actually on site? What good is this? Then I was I got to see everyone else get their food first that arrived after me. It actually takes longer when ordering through the app. I have to wait in my car and then physically get out and walk to the door to get my food because staff is too lazy to walk out and hand it to me. Not using this app Or restaurant ever again.

Needs an update. I recently got a new phone and the app was working fine on my old phone but now it won’t allow me to sign back in using Facebook. Anytime I try to log in or sign in I try to click on login with Facebook button nothing happens. The manager at the store tried to get it to work but nothing fixed it. Even tried deleting the app and reinstalling it but nothing seems to work. I had close to 2000 points before and really don’t want to lose them or any purchase I have made since then. Please update as I love Freddy’s and eat there way too often.

Horrible App. Every time I go to checkout on the app it says “We are perfecting our menu and came across a small issue. Please empty your cart” Tried several times on different occasions over the past 6 months & it always gives that same message. It did work once for me when I only had one combo meal in the cart so I don’t know if that makes a difference having a small order. I guess it doesn’t matter since they don’t even make your food until you get there anyway.

Can’t Scroll Rewards. Loved the app until just recently when I am unable to scroll my rewards options. I updated my phone and the app. I also deleted the app off my phone and reinstalled it and it’s still not allowing me to scroll. I have a lot of rewards points and would like to be able to use them. I hope you fix this problem ASAP!

Confusing app that’s not worth the trouble.. I love the food and the restaurant, but the online ordering app is confusing at best. The app states that online orders are NOT available for pickup through the drive thru. So I ordered and parked in the designated parking areas for my online order brought out to me. However, I checked into the app saying I was “here” the app instructed me to go inside. What’s the purpose of the app anyway if you have to go inside? Anyway, I went inside and, I kid you not, the employee asked me why I didn’t just go through the drive thru. What?? When I told them the app prohibited that they just looked confused. Either way, the whole purpose for me getting the app was so I would NOT have to enter the store. I love the food, but when I’m in a hurry I will just choose a different restaurant in the future.

Great!. The user interface is clean and quite easy to navigate. I’ve not once had an app crash, nor any negative comment to suggest. Overall, I rate 5-stars because the restaurant is fantastic, and as far as companion apps, it’s made eating to-go, or drive-through insanely fluid. Thanks for the creators and the team that helps in every aspect!

Love Freddie’s, hate the app. As other reviewers have said, the “I’m Here” system has GOT to be fixed. I literally was inside the location showing the manager the window that showed me I was “not close enough”, despite being INSIDE the correct location. The manager was awesome and filled my order as the app charged my card but wouldn’t push it to their actual system. The app is also not the most intuitive and is pretty clunky. I love Freddie’s but I wish they would revamp their app!

Why even have an app at all?!. There is absolutely NO reason to use this app! Matter of fact, you get faster service going through the drive-thru!! After placing my order and tapping “I’m here,” the app told me I could NOT pickup in the drive-thru, but to park and COME INSIDE and tell an associate I placed an app order. Really?!! Then wait. Inside the crowded (and noisy) restaurant. And to make matters WORSE, every car in the very long drive-thru line got their orders before I did!! I am deleting the app and will use the drive-thru from now on. This app is a waste.

The app is ridiculous. The food is five stars but COVID means curb pick up is the way to go. I placed an order for my family on my phone and my husband stopped on his way home from work to pick it up. They didn’t have my order and I couldn’t submit it because my phone wasn’t there. I paid for the food on the app but they didn’t have my order?! My husband had to load the app, place the order again, and wait. That’s ridiculous.

No status for order. I dislike that there is no way of telling if your mobile order fell through the cracks or not during long waiting times especially when you are trying to do curbside it’s been ten minutes and as soon as you hit in here in your phone it may as well not exist , no status regarding your order displayed

No point in ordering ahead. There is no point in ordering ahead with your phone. They won’t even start preparing it until your phone is there and so they require location services. I ordered it on my phone and my husband went to go pick it up. I didn’t realize it wasn’t going to let him pick it up. So what should have been a 20 minute roundtrip at most ended up being almost an hour long.

Not helpful or functional!. Once you place an order the app does not sends the order to the store so they can begin to make it until you arrive at the store’s location which defeats the purposes of ordering ahead. At that point just go to the drive through. Also the location tracking would not put us at the store even though we were in the parking lot. We had no way to override this so we ended up needing to go to into the store anyway. The app has the potential to be good but fell flat on implementation.

Works fine. Free stuff. Had the scroll issue. After loading rewards Just go into the order menu then back to home and you should be able to scroll your rewards

Mixed Experience. What went well and what didn’t 1-star for Freddy’s policy that app customers have to go inside to pickup orders... especially during a pandemic... but really if the app is supposed to be convenient, it falls short... and we won’t be using it again. 2-stars for the service received when I called to try to figure out how to get my order.. negative stars for receiving the confirmation email AFTER we were done eating. 5-stars for the drive through service we received... excellent folks working the drive through, despite their confusion created by our request to pickup our app order. 5-stars for the food! Freddy’s food is comparable to our favorite fast food restaurant.

Terrible app. Don’t bother.. Just terrible. Nothing works. Rewards don’t work. I contacted them and they said oh yeah nothing will work until a new app comes out in May. Current app doesn’t say that. Employees say to enter receipt on the app to get points but it doesn’t work. Very shady. Why not just be honest and inform the customer upfront instead of misleading? With so many good restaurant apps and reward programs how could Freddy’s not hire someone who has experience and knows what they’re doing? Lesson learned.

Can’t order for someone else to pick up. The location services is a real deal breaker. I’m surprised so many people have reported having problems with it and it hasn’t been fixed yet. My dad was at the store, I ordered from my phone 15 minutes away for a house full of people, and they wouldn’t make the order. Huge app design flaw! Funny every other fast food app I’ve used doesn’t have this problem.

This app is not worth your time. Just go through the drive through, the app is a waste of time. Placed an order for my wife to pick up on her way home from work but they don’t even get the order in the kitchen until the phone that placed the order is in the parking lot. I had to call the restaurant and repeat my entire order so they could start it. But even if I went there myself to pick it up they would not have even started on my order until I got to the restaurant. So it begs the question, what’s the point of this app?

Kinda bad (pls respond). I like that this past update made things visible there were sine HUD or HD or whatever issues. but they signed me out. i can’t sign in with a phone number so my phone number is stuck in my account that i can’t get into. their website said to sign up to get back in but they gave me one (1) ONE freddy point when i had hundreds. i signed/logged back in with every email that i have and nothing do better

Why bother?. I had to reenter my order after signing in, which it didn't ask me to do till I'd created the order. And worse, I downloaded it and order from the app so I would not have to wait for the food, but the app has an 'I'm here' button after I've placed the order I have to tap so they know to start cooking. I tried it from a mile away, nope. Not even when I was in the parking lot. Had to walk to the site for it to know. Right now the last thing I want to do is stand inside a restaurant so it was infuriating that there was not any other option for this. Deleting the app.

Receipts pending...and pending...STILL pending.... Receipts added into app for reward points either get validated within a day or two, or show up as “pending” 3 months later even when entered correctly. (The later after I’d entered a few incorrectly—a learning experience for me, oops—and then getting them right.) I don’t eat at Freddy’s too often, but it would be nice to get rewards for the times I do come by. :/ The star rating is for the app and by no means is saying their food is bad because it’s amazing! 😁

Ordering through app rarely works. I love the food and appreciate the time needed to deliver consistently good food. Freddy’s and was excited about the ability to order through app, but it is a HUGE disappointment. I have tried multiple times since the feature was “added” and it has worked once. I usually get Freddy’s in between my son’s baseball games. I was really hoping to save myself waiting in line and just so disappointed this doesn’t work.

Never let’s me log back in. Everyday the app logs me out and when I try to log back in it says invalid email. I’ve tried multiple times to reset my password and I never receive an email. I have had to create a new account several times because it keeps doing this. It’s beyond frustrating because I had almost 5000 points on my first account but when the update came out my account was deleted!!! Please fix this!!!

Need more payment options.. I would like to use the Freddy’s app to order. But unlike other food apps that I use there is no way to pay unless I add a credit card. I really don’t want to attach my card to the app. I don’t even see an e-gift card that I can attach…I would love to use Apple Pay or PayPal or just be able to reload a gift card within the app itself. Until alternative payment is available I don’t plan to use the app.

No drive through option ??. Please change the app so that people can pick up their order in the drive through I ordered with no option for this and waited in the drive through only to be told that I cannot pickup my order this way and that I would have to walk inside why ? It’s ridiculous I walked in and they handed it to me right away why can’t they just do that in the drive through window ??

Needs updating. Used to be great but for the past month or two I have been unable to order a frozen custard with my meal. Only a medium or large fountain drink is showing as available. Very frustrating not the be able to use the app for preordering. Luckily the drive through is pretty quick but please fix this because I often forget to show the app to earn points and like to order ahead!

Don’t bother. This might be the most aggravating app I have ever used. It keeps sending me notifications that I need to use my rewards, yet they are nowhere to be found in the app. It keeps telling me I have 11 notifications and when I open the app there are none. We couldn’t do online ordering for a freaking year because they were revamping their app. Yeah, it’s worse than the original. We love Freddy’s but for heaven’s sake, find someone that can make you an app that is actually functional. You’re wasting our time.

App needs serious improvements. App could come into this decade. Does not support Apple Pay or Google payments. Then after submitting my order it asks me how my experience with the app was so I click on it to leave feedback. It takes me to a survey about the store but also doesn’t include a submit button anywhere. So doesn’t matter if I had anything to say because apparently they don’t actually want our feedback on their website either. So App Store is where I’ll leave it.

App no longer allows me to login. I was automatically logged out a few months ago for some reason still can’t get back in, saying my password is incorrect, even though I didn’t change it and know what it is. I tried to have the reset password email sent to me but that does not work either. Very frustrating as I have a lot of reward points. At my local Freddy’s the workers say they hear lots of complaints about the app. Please Freddy’s get it right.

Not useful. I signed up for the rewards. I was thinking this app would make it easier to order and get my food faster. That was incorrect. You can fill out the order, pay but they won’t place the order until you walk into the store. Not even if you are sitting in your car outside of the restaurant! So I am inside waiting with others during times of pandemic! Why?! I could have just walked in and ordered! Saved not one second of time. Will not use it again.

Can’t even scroll to the deal o my rewards. Everything else work instead of the only thing why people get the apps the reward or deals when you go on the home page or your my rewards the screen can’t scroll down and can’t access your deals got to update I have point that are about to expire at this point

App Useless. Don’t bother trying to download the app. I had it at one point but redownloaded and couldn’t get it to work. I tried making a new account but it said my email and phone number were taken so I tried logging into the older account I had but when I tried the forgot password option it wouldn’t send me the email to unlock. Maybe you can sign up for an account if you’ve never had one before idk. I guess I just lose all my saved up rewards.

Best Burgers in Town. I visit Freddy’s at least once a week. The food is always great, and the customer service is always fantastic. I recommend it to everyone I know, even turned some of the most skeptical people I know into regulars. If you haven’t tried it yet... you are missing out!

Suggestion for the app. My family always orders the same meals that we treat ourselves to once every week or two. The app should have a “save” or “place last order again” function so you don’t have to renter the entire order every time.

Why Bother. The I’m here system is frustrating. I have no problem with “prepare when you arrive” for actual fast food restaurants. Freddy’s always takes forever to prepare food, so I’d like to be able to order ahead. Guess what, if the food is cold because it takes me a while to get there, that’s on me. Id rather have cold food and no wait. But no, gotta be there. And as other reviews stated it’s detection proximity is disappointing. Interface is fine pretty standard for these apps.

Dumbest App Ever. Dont get me wrong, we love the food here, but the app and mobile ordering is USELESS!!! The whole point of mobile ordering 1)ease of use and 2)so you don’t have to get out of your car. First issue: you can’t order your food until your near the restaurant. We were so close to the restaurant that my husband had to walk up to the front door to place our order. Great that the food is fresh, but major design flaw. Second issue: you have to go into the restaurant to pick up your food (or maybe it’s just our restaurant that requires this?) What the heck is the point of this app then?? Why can’t I pick up my food in the drive thru? Just feels like a pointless app to have when so many other places allow curbside pickup and placing an order when you’re not near the restaurant.

Worst ordering experience ever. Be advised, if you order with this app you MUST drive to the store, with your phone, and check in via the app once your arrive. They will not start cooking your order UNTIL you arrive. What’s the point of ordering online if you have to come to store before they make your food??? You might as well show up and place the order in person as you save NO time with the app. Whoever is in charge of this app should be fired. The workflow for a idiotic. They now have one less family dining here. Steak & Shake (literally across the street) here we come.

I Never Get My Points/Rewards!. I have had pending receipts for rewards in my app for months. I never receive my points! Why offer a rewards program if you can never earn the rewards??? It pushes me to eat elsewhere! When you contact them regarding a complaint you don’t hear back either. Why do some restaurants figure out their apps and using them is seamless … and others fail miserably? The best I have found are Chick-fil-A and Schlotzsky’s. Earning points, etc happens in real time. I know where I stand immediately. Freddy’s should check them out for ideas!
