Helped me alot. I have never seen a program so accurate and effective in language training not even boring I really enjoyed i am an Iranian who is learning English language and this application helped me a lot♥️

FALSE ADVERTISING. Do not give them your money. They will take it and demand you to use their app before they give you your money back. I only downloaded this app and gave them money because they have a false advertisement of features for Spanish. I have been going back and forth in emails with them for days and they still won’t issue me a refund because I won’t put even more time into this false advertised app. If you hate spending your money and getting what you expected in return and if you love sending a ton of emails to customer service people just to get nowhere and have it inferred all customers poor decisions, this is the app for you!

Not as advertised. I got an instagram ad of a guided reader of a podcast with video of the speaker. It looked like a really cool idea even if it were somewhat limited in offered videos. They force you to subscribe for a free trial to even see the app. The app is nothing like advertised. The lessons are silly and super basic. There’s no guided reader, no podcast offering, nothing remotely like the ad. There’s also a video section of English lessons even though I added the Spanish course? It’s clearly a scam and I should have read the reviews before donating them $1. At least I canceled immediately and didn’t fall for the autorenew weekly for $10!!

Useful, simple, and fun!. My favorite part was English to English section. If you could do more of that - more people would sign up. It’s so much fun to learn the language with explanations in that language for advanced learners. Advanced vocabulary didn’t impress me, there were things like “Thursday, Wednesday, Santa Clause”, I wouldn’t call it advanced vocabulary. Other than that, great app, so many games, you learn new words fast and effortlessly!

Not too good unfortunately. The app is very reminiscent of one famous app with green bird. I bought the paid annual version on Black Friday for $100, and today the same version costs less than $50. Great marketing! Since I'll have this app for 1 year, I'd like to see more good things ( which I don’t see it now): 1) A "remember what you've already studied" block in the form of quizzes - it’s really important for memorising 2) More episodes from tv-series or movies ( for now it’s around 7 only common!!) 3) Shorts videos the same as you did in instagram ads with examples and explanations So far it's all very monotonous and I don't understand what I paid money for. Maybe for $40/year I wouldn't even be writing this review, but $100/year it's definitely not worth it yet. The front end of the app is good. Hopefully there will be more improvements in a year and I can change my impression of the app.

AVOID----Get Duolingo, Memrise, or Drops instead. Ads reflect products they do not have or offer. Attempts to cancel took 8 emails, the walk through cancellation tutorials weren't working. CS said "you're refusing our offer" which was to not refund me and not cancel. To receive a refund you must "use the app and provide proof" you have completed 10 quizzes with requirements of "learned" on them, then submit for approval. Horrendous practices. False advertising. Duolingo is free, with better learning and placement from quizzes. The "placement test" for Promova said at b2 and started the learning with very very very basic vocab with no test out options. Not worth the cancellation headache in time and energy. Not worth the guilt tripping coercive language from customer service. Not a fan of

Disappointed. I was promised a personalized plan for advanced vocabulary leaning. I spent the time taking the assessment and bought the app subscription, but was never able to find my plan. I reached out to customer service and when I finally got a reply from the team, after more than a week, I got this standard message asking me if my request was still valid, then my ticket was closed right away without allowing me to reply. Reached out them again and still no answer. Very dissatisfied.

SCAM!!! Warning! Do not give them your credit card or subscribe to anything.. They look legit, but this app is a total scam. The language content is a joke and they make it impossible to unsubscribe or halt a subscription. I “cancelled” repeatedly in the App Store. When that didn’t work I tried to find ways to contact them directly. They don’t make that easy. I finally found an enamel online and reached out. They said they were discontinuing all service and then they charged me again. And still no way to stop it. I’ve alerted my bank and filed a fraud claim. Meantime, these guys continue to defraud and steal from unsuspecting customers.

Simple, excellent however, demanding. The app is super for beginners; it is super simple, exciting, there are quizzes which help very much thus, it make your memory to memorise new words. Nonetheless, it has got an issue: it is not good for B1, B2, C1 learned unless you have premium. I found out this app recently (on instagram) and it was advertised so well that it talks you into downloading. Having downloaded the app I opened it and discovered that I could not learn the vocabulary whose level would suit; I knew all the words appeared there.

Everything is great except the translation. I really like the app overall, except the translations. The translations from one to another language are not consistent with the drawings and long explanations in the same language (since one word can have many meanings). It’s so annoying and confusing that it distracts everything else. It would be even better to have the options to exclude all the parts with translation in it. Thanks for the great app still!

Subscription terms are not transparent. I found the app quite nice but after going through the introduction “test” for the level of the english language I found out that the vocabulary is too limited for advanced level. In order not to miss and pay subscription that I doesn't want I checked in the subscription in my apple id account and in the application. My subscription plan was not there. After 7 days I was billed for the monthly subscription (which I didn’t want) and I am very angry. Looks like the developers intentionally made cancellation not easy (by writing an email to them). Very disappointed!!!!!😠

That’s too early for say, but I hate pay to all tings on the way. I don't like to know that I have to pay for more things after having paid for 3 months, so play fair and charge for a single course, if those things are possible to pay to get, here's the tip, it makes me feel cheated right away from start

SCAM - do not sign up for trial. The product is not as advertised. It is extremely basic and very buggy. On top of this, I canceled the subscription and they still charged me $30 for a membership. When I reached out, they tried to push a lifetime membership on me, and said that I had to have used their app 7 days in a row, and prove to them that I had, in order to get a refund. None of this was laid out when signing up for a trial. The whole thing is a scam. Their business model is luring people in with false advertising, then making it impossible to cancel a membership.

SCAM! No Latin American Spanish. During the onboarding process they have you choose between Spain spanish (castellano) and Latin American Spanish. Yet the app only offers Spain Spanish once you purchase!! It’s obvious once in the app they don’t have Latin American Spanish and only offer it to cash in and not loose customers who are looking to learn Latin American Spanish. I reached out to customer service and they couldn’t help me but cancelled my subscription because they know there is no option for Latin American Spanish. The app is fine but now I don’t trust the company and will not be back for other language lessons.

Not for Native English Speakers. I think the advertising could have been more direct about who the target audience for this app is. I downloaded thinking it was a means to enhance my vocabulary in my native tongue. I quickly discovered that this was not the case. So, wanting to give the app another chance, I pursued improving my intermediate Spanish skills. Selecting “English” as your native tongue wasn’t a choice when it came to learning another language. I could choose Korean as my native language (if that was my native language) and choose Spanish for the language that I wanted to learn. I could pick German to Spanish, but I could not pick English to Spanish .

Not as advertised. The ad I saw implied that I would learn better English vocabulary. Yet, when I open the app it asks what language I want to learn. I don’t want to “learn” per se. So I picked English, my native tongue. Then it asks my native language. Well, English, but now I don’t even have that choice. The name is Word Booster. I want to BOOST my words, not learn a new language of words. Oh, I guess once you go further, you can pay a whole ton of money for English to English.

BE CAREFUL its a scam!!!!. I paid for a week to try so they don’t charge my account but after the one week subscription finished I saw a charge for a monthly or yearly subscription made to my account. You see a cancellation option but it takes you to endless customer service chats of back and forth messages that try to convince you to stay then at last they offer you cancellation but nothing about a refund!!!!

it is impossible to unsubscribe. I wanted to cancel my subscription and get my money back. it was their mistake, because the application says that I do not have a subscription to them, but they withdraw money. I asked to cancel the subscription and return the withdrawn money, but in response I received requests to stay and then they simply closed my question and no longer respond to letters. money is not refundable. do not recommend this developer!

Not enough practice/tries to trap you into subscribing. I’m not an idiot about computers and it took a while with AppleSupport to get it done so my cc wouldn’t be charged $99. They make it hard on purpose. Furthermore, this app is wildly lacking in practice time. I’m a teacher. You need massive amounts of repetition to get a language to stay in your brain so that you can use it when you need it. This app introduces tons of concepts and gives you very little practice time. I don’t know what app does make you practice enough, but I know this one sure doesn’t.

Limited language support but still effective. App is great but there are areas that need improvement. I am a native Sinhalese speaker ( Sri Lankan ) and the app does not support that language. I don’t have a way around to use the app without selecting an other language as my mother tongue. I believe option for choosing English as the native language should be there. This would be a workaround for people like us. I don’t mind seeing explanation in English for all these sections. Also, app can consider to include Sinhalese as an option as there are 15-18 million Sinhalese speakers and language is already supported in many other places ( windows , google , etc..). Also, there is a high demand for Learniñg English in the country.

Found a toolkit for improving my English. So far I like the way the app takes me through the process of making my English to the next level. It is so easy and intuitive.

Scam! NO FREE TRIAL. The app mentions free trial, but there is no such thing. The company wants proof that you used the app up to a certain level and then take screenshot, to get the money back. THIS IS NOT THE CONCEPT OF A FREE TRIAL. Various hidden upsells in the app. I browsed through the English practice, which is EXTREMELY BASIC, it is best suited for beginners and not to upgrade vocabulary. The marketing & advertising does not match the offering. I also tried the Korean practice, which, compared to other apps out there is pretty bad. Waste of time and money. I never hated an app more than this one. Also, used car sales practices does not a customer service make.

SCAM. SCAM. SCAM.. When you sign up, it says as long as you camel more than 24hrs before your free trial ends, you won't be charged. This is a LIE. When I contacted support, there were all these other requirements (I had to use the app for 7 consecutive days, I had to contact them directly, all within a 14 day period, AND 24hrs+ before the free trial ends. It was not clearly stated during sign up, and who can keep track of all that anyway? Also their $15 "workbook" is 5 pages. R i p o f f I've been practicing Spanish for about 3 months, and wanted to try a new program to broaden my learning. After a quick scroll through the lessons it was clear that I would be starting at square 1- the lessons were sooo basic. Customer service answers promptly, but isn't helpful and will just try to push a lifetime membership. EDIT: I received a one time refund of the subscription after I told them that I think their operation is a scam and they could keep my $40.

False Ads. Total Scam. The app claims to boost your vocabulary but its designed for people who have minimal understanding of the English language. Anyone with a high school degree will realize that this app will add little to nothing to their vocabulary. Even their “Advanced” section has basic words like “agenda” or “flawless” (I’m not kidding you thats the most advanced level you’ll find). That might be useful to someone who is just beginning to learn English but its not even middle school level vocabulary. They also charge OUTRAGEOUS AMOUNT OF MONEY. An “auto-renewing WEEKLY SUBSCRIPTION OF $9.99.” They ripped me off for the lifetime subscription with a $50 cost. In my 12 years using the app store and downloading countless apps I have never written a negative review until now. They are total SCAMMERS.

Not like a advertisement and poor customer service. I saw a advertisement which using active tv shows’ video to learn but actually it’s just a screenshot of tv show with subtitle. and the audio is computer generated voice and sounds weird. I tried English and Spanish. not worth of any penny. I asked refund but they offer lower price with lifetime access or screen shots of 10 lessons completed. what a waste of money and time. I feel the company is not in good condition.

Horrible. The app is nothing like advertised. Its not even close to worth spending money on. It didn’t give me a free trial option, so I paid for the month. And quickly realized how unhelpful the app was in my learning process, so I asked for a refund. They pretty much beg you to stay as a customer. And won’t give a refund unless you use the app for 7 days consecutively… why would I use an app that I dislike for 7 days to get my money back?

Overpriced beginner flashcard app, misleading. tl;dr: just use lingodeer or even duolingo Got served their insta ad, usually I ignore them but I've been looking for good audio content with transcripts and that seemed to be available! Took their lil placement test for Spanish and it said "yes we have stuff for you!" (I'd describe myself as high intermediate), went out on a limb and bought the three months, even though I see now it's only $10 cheaper than the lifetime price?? Either way, not worth it. The only audio/video content is for non-native English speakers learning English. The flashcards are an ok selection, but grouped by category with no sense of path or difficulty--probably because it's all pretty beginner. I thought maybe having Chinese as well would redeem it, but it's also too easy for me, and they don't include pinyin! So no reviewing those in public I guess. Frustrating

AMAZING🤩✨. This is simply amazing it helps so much with reading comprehension, writing, pronunciation, and overall vocabulary. I am a Somali man that has struggled for decades with English and just barely scraped by with mumbles and 3 letter sentences. This app has changed my life overall. Most of it is free and there are different modes you can choose from, listen to me when I say this DOWNLOAD THIS APP.

Suggestions to Words Boosters team. I love this app, idea and IU design; it’s so cute and Gorgeous. I am so into that. But the one and only problem for me is this app’s only available on iPhone, iPod and Macs, we, most of students and kids uses iPad for Learning languages or some educational stuffs.. so If you launch iPad version, I’ll be so glad. Thank you.

Bad experience! You will be treated Poorly!. If you need support you will be ignored and treated poorly. It was a 3-month subscription until they changed the billing date to a week ago, then you pay for a month but are billed every 3 weeks. I sent an email to support and didn't get a response, I sent an email 3 days later and they canceled my subscription, didn't refund my money and didn't respond to the email. The worst service I have ever received in my entire life!

App is great, but you’ll still get ads even after subscribing. I’ve enjoyed the content so far, and have appreciated the addition to my Spanish vocabulary. However, even after paying a subscription fee, you will continue to receive additional pop-up ads for extra services Promova is trying to sell you. It’s distracting and annoying. I checked with Support, and it’s not possible to disable these ads. I will not be renewing my subscription, and plan to delete the app once my trial expires.

BEWARE!!This is a scam. So I saw the ad on Instagram for a great Spanish podcast read along and signed up for the week trial. When I downloaded the app, it was a Duolingo type of app. I was so confused, I reached out to them and they actually told me that the podcast read along does not exist at the moment, it was recalled due to some issues BUT look at how great our app is. I asked for a refund because what I signed up for does not exist. She actually said that I had to use the app everyday for a week and show that I used it for her to give me a refund. Ha???? That makes no sense. I lost the money because I’m not willing to jump through their hoops to get it. I would have actually signed up again when the read along came back but now NO WAY!!!!!!!!

Doesn’t seem to understand how people learn. I am disappointed that I paid for this. There are lessons where the answers are very obvious so it’s tough to truly test yourself. Plus, once they teach you words in a lesson they never bring it up again. It’s proven that testing knowledge and repeating it over time is what leads to learning a language. They design the app to “feel” good like you’re learning since it’s so easy, but what you learn is lost several days later because they don’t revisit it.

Beware. It’s NOT WORTH IT!!!. You can read all the 1 star remark and plz don’t trust in their insta ad. I bought 3 months premium with the level is B1 but they just can give me a general course such as how are you today. I tried to have the refund because it’s like a scam, but they didn’t allow me to do thay because it’s a no end process and you will never can finish it. Write an email? Yes I did. They replied so fast but the problems never be solved. So I bought 12 WEEKS and I asked them to refund. They told me to wait and they’ll fix the app and it took 2 weeks and the app still. Is it FAIR? Is it WORTH? No. It’s not healthy!

Don’t believe the advertisement. I subscribed to the app because it was advertised to have audio books in Spanish with translation. There’s nothing like this in reality in this app. Also the exercises are very few, in the exercises with the whole sentence translation to English is not provided, so you may complete the sentence without realising the meaning of each word in it. With that amount of exercises it’s definitely not possible to memorise new words, if they are introduced once, and one more exercise to fill it in the sentence. So as of now the only advantage of this app is a nice design, other then that just download Duolingo, it’s much more helpful

Deceptive advertising. The ads for this app show a user reading with the ability to look up words directly from the text. This feature is nowhere to be found in the app (Spanish). Also the lessons seem quite limited without paying more for lessons etc.

Very helpful and needed. Being in marketing I analyze data and when it comes to being more business professional understanding business lingo polishes my look overall on the team especially with presentations!

Spanish app is trash, so many flaws!. This app is riddled with issues. First off they mislead me with false advertising! They advertise a book reading feature with a bouncing ball over the words as it reads. This feature is not in the app, they said it was under development. Then why advertise it? This is why I bought the app! Also there are so many issues from words being cut off, it doesn’t pronounce the words on the various screens like all other language apps do. They show vague pictures with no explanation and you are supposed to select the Spanish word that goes with it, then the words at the bottom don’t fit the button so you get a partial word. This happens throughout the app. I have tried 9 different Spanish apps, this one is the worst by a long shot. I spent $90 for terrible app that is still under development. This app needs to be recalled and everyone should get a refund.

AI pronunciation makes for a terrible tutor. Would give zero stars if I could. I have been going round and around with customer service attempting to get a refund with no results. I was asked to complete 10 lessons to give it a “fair chance” and to send the screenshots that I had done so. It was a complete waste of time. With a robot doing the pronunciation, there is no way to get the pronunciation right. There were also wrong words and translations. Absolutely the worst language app out there. Stick with Pimsleur or anything but this.

Not like the Ad at all. The ad showed someone improving on their English. It was displaying ways to enrich the English language, taught in English. So I downloaded the app and the first question they ask? What language do you want to learn? Seemed weird if I was going to enrich the English language. But maybe I could select English and there would be a way to select that later... Nope! The next question was what is your native language? And because I’d already selected English, it was not an available option. I was annoyed this was nothing like the ad, but now was curious. I picked a language I could read, and before it would launch me into the app, it required me to either purchase their program, or give payment info for my 7 day free trial. I declined both, but was never able to enter the app. Ps your iOS release notes have grammatical errors.

Simple, Good for Basic Review. I like the catchy, clever lesson titles and I love the simple clear illustrations and overall uncluttered presentation. I would like to see audio provided as an option on the practice sections, in addition to the vocabulary introduction sections (where it is offered), as it’s important to have repeat exposure to correct pronunciation and word pairings (common phrases). I also appreciate how each lesson is very short as this allows one to get in some study or review during short periods of available time. For me, this wouldn’t work in isolation for language mastery but it does provide opportunities for vocab and skill review in short, manageable bursts.

The legibility needs to be improved. (the bold font). This is a good app. I hope I can keep using it, but the font of the bold text is not very readable. I know this font may be a part of your branding from the design part of the view. But it's not helpful for learning new words and memorizing them. It takes me a few seconds to read each word. You may use this font somewhere to keep it, but better not in the learning process. Alternatively, you can use bold font from the same font family of the small text, which would be a commonly readable font. Thank you!

Not as advertised. The content in the app is nothing like the advertisement I saw - in which there was a podcast and you could highlight words and see their meaning. I Also took a quiz that promised me a specialized plan for my level but there’s nothing tailored in the app - it’s all basic vocabulary lessons and introductory grammar rules. Feels like a scam. Two stars because the interface seems fine if you’re truly a beginner and just want to learn some basic Spanish (or whatever language).

Buyer beware. This app auto renews on a monthly basis at nearly $30 per month. Although there are links for a tutor with the premium subscription, you need “credits do use a tutor, and zero credits are offered despite the $30 per month fee. What remains is a very simplistic grammar school style textbook where are you see words review them and if you get them correct they disappear. The words are always in exactly the same order and always with visual aids so that you can recognize what they are. Some of the exercises are confusing or pointless, such as adding alternate letters to complete the spelling of a word in the second language. I had high hopes for this app but I have been very disappointed.

No me jodas. The content of this program would be decent without its constant solicitation to buy supplementary packages and prompts to rate each and every brief lesson. After just a few courses I felt badgered and annoyed and sorry I had engaged with their ad. I wrote to customer support and asked for a refund, which I was informed would only be forthcoming if — wait for it, this is cheeky — I proved I had finished a one week streak. Can you think of an equivalent in another industry? “I’m sorry, I don’t enjoy this meal plan.” “Unfortunately you’re going to have to eat six more dinners before I can give you your money back.” 😂😂😂😂 Que disfrutan el dinero, pendejos

Super helpful!. I am a native Ukrainian speaker. While I took on learning English I may have fallen a little behind on my language demands for Ukrainian, so consistently expanding my word pallet or just continuously engaging with my language helps me keep the practice fresh in my head. Spelling out the word is also a bridging activity which makes the reader pay avid attention during the exercises. Also the logo couldn’t be any cuter, the cat basically convinced me to write a review. Very nicely designed, much enjoyment from user’s side!

Good not great. The lessons are straight forward flash card style learning and then fill in the blanks to remember words. Good to have to expand your vocabulary but this app won’t teach you how to speak the language. It is a good supplement to Duolingo, I use Duolingo to learn sentence structure and words while this one I just use for vocab. To take this app to the next level it needs more options to learn a language (reading stories or listening to them). It would also be nice to have more lessons on different tenses and putting sentences together (in the future, past, and present)

Fraudulent, Avoid!! Do not buy!. I purchased a one month trial and it said if I was unhappy I had 14 days to try it out or my money back. I was very unhappy within 2 days of using it because the pronunciation of Spanish is very off (I am semi fluent and working on my listening to Spanish, so this was why I bought it). Since I was unhappy I cancelled and emailed to request the refund. They refused!! Despite it being a 14 day trial and 2 days in I requested a refund. I’ve contacted my credit card company but seriously don’t trust these people! It’s also a terrible app if you’re trying to learn Spanish, you will not learn the correct pronunciations!

Not so advanced!. I liked the app learning format and structure. However, advanced words and phrases are very limited. I purchased this app thinking that I will get new words and phrases on a regular basis. However, it doesn’t seem like it. I completed my whole advanced lessons and now I am left with no advanced words and phrases to learn. Also, although it says advanced, only a few are advanced. What kind of advanced learning is learning living room, bedroom , kitchen ? The app is good but lacks good amount of words and phrases. I can have a better word and phrases database for you to use into your app. I don’t understand how difficult it is to just update the database content. I am seeing this app already got similar reviews in the past. I want to request for a refund of my purchase. I don’t want to waste $20 on something that’s not useful to me.

Scammers. Technical support does not respond to messages. This is the worst app I've ever come across. I wrote to technical support and asked to cancel my subscription. They told me it was good. After 2 months I receive a message that money has been withdrawn from me again. I again wrote to technical support so that they would sort out this error and return my money. They said it was impossible to get the money back. I'm shocked. I asked to be connected with the general manager. After that, technical support stopped responding to my messages. Why should I pay for a service I don't use?

This is the best app ever. I had a goal to learn Italian now in Italian class at school, I could speak full sentences now thanks! promova! One thing though I like the old app icon more with the cat please bring it back at the next update. All I have to say now

Words. The words can be pronounced a little bit slowly or in 2 velocity

Frustrating service. This app team are very unreliable and frauds. After requesting to cancel my subscription and refund money back; they are in denial and claiming that they didn’t find my email address or subscription details. Many times I sent them a PayPal receipt of my subscription and details however; they don’t want to return money back. Guys please careful before do any transaction or download this app.

False advertising. This app claims to provide guided reading of texts in its advertising. However, it is basic quizzes not even as good as Duolingo and numerous other much cheaper apps. When you sign up you have to answer a lot of questions that suggest the app is being tailored to your needs. But you just get the same basic beginner app with lots of basic vocabulary quizzes

Wow. Not a paid subscriber yet, but I can see that people put a lot of effort in this app’s content !

Fake advertising. I purchased six months because I had seen their ads on Instagram showing scripted audiobooks and the option to take words to learn, but their app doesn't have this feature. I asked the support team and their response was “unfortunately,due to technical difficulties we encountered, we were forced to recall these additional features in order to polish it for the best customer experience”. In the meantime many people like me keep falling for their advertising.

Nice interface, but incorrect translations. Similarly to the other review, I noticed incorrect translations straight away. Most definitely pulled from google translate. It tells you in Japanese “get in” is 到着する which means arrive. It says “get out” is 逃げる which means escape. Tells you “put in” is 投入する which is a word used only for sexual connotations in modern Japanese. Among others. I can’t comment on the translation quality for other languages - they could be okay - but this is actually hurting people’s language learning rather than helping due to gross mistranslations. Immediately cancelling my free trial.

Totally scam. I never signed up for it so never had password to log in but got charged twice as I were not aware. Don’t even know how they got the payment info?! Contacted support, no response. Tried to log in by “forgot password” the link never worked and kept saying invalid. Don’t take the risk and waste your time with this scammer!!!

Just opened the app and started to learn French and the French I was learning was too easy so I tried to change it but There was no way to do that so I tried to delete the course and start again but I couldn’t and I presumed it was because I was only doing one course so I decided to Start a Spanish course so I could delete my French course so I could start again but I couldn’t figure out how to delete a course so now I’m stuck with a French course which Is to easy and a Spanish course which I have no interest in actually learning

Compulsion. I installed the app to know more about, it said you have a 7 days trial then you have to pay for premium membership. As I was not interested I uninstalled the app. But every week I have an email you have to pay 149$. I had to change my card to prevent the payment. I don't know what to do to end this situation. How can somebody tell them I don't need your services. Is it compulsory services? I don't even have the app on my iPhone

Scam. According to my experience Promova is a fraud and a liar, because in their advertisements they show audio books with script, but their app does not have this feature. On the other hand, they charged me 29 dollars without my permission and when I protested, they said that we will give you a lifetime membership and in the future we will add the features that we have advertised to the app. I asked them to refund my money and they agreed, but now it's been more than 3 months and they still haven't refunded.

No fiction reading function. I downloaded this app cuz the ad which shows the easy reading podcast and reading function in ig. After I downloaded it and used it and purchased for the premium, there is no reading function in this app. I was wasting my money!

Hard to unsubscribed. Be careful with this app, it’s not easy to find the unsubscribe option. I couldn’t unsubscribe it on the app, finally cancelled it on their website. It’s too expensive for 30aud per month for learning English online.

Fraudulent deductions. Don’t even think about taking a free trial.I got a free trial which I unsubscribed after two day and still they’re deducting $29 per month and i just don’t understand what to do so they stop deducting amount from my account.

This is an unreasonably greedy app.. I canceled my trial subscription WHICH I HAD PAID FOR one day before it expires only to find that I lost my full access to the app. This is ridiculous. Meanwhile, the reason I opted out is that the $49 lifetime plan offered upon installation is not an upgrade option when you start using the app. That is to say, this app discourages customers from continuing to use it while annoying them by some treacherous tricks. How can you be silly and greedy at the same time?

Vocabulary. Learning vocabulary is easy and interesting to learn . Who ever struggling to communicate in your work place and socially it is best app to learn.

No easy to cancel. Don’t download this if you don’t want to have a hard time cancelling,. There is no option to cancel in the app, so I contacted “support” and she can’t even find my subscription, on top of that is asking for credit card details or PayPal. I am sorry but this is definitely a red flag for me.

But where’s the Ukrainian course?. One of your PR team must have thought it was a great idea to slap Ukrainian flags on your mascot because it was the only reason I clicked on the ad. Amazing!. This Spanish learning app actually helps you learn real sentences rather than just words. This is important because ultimately you need sentence structure to speak to natives - not just words! Definitely worth it!

On my way. It’s a good app. However when you have English speaking people saying the words it’s not as good as a native speaker. You may mispronounce the word.

Not the best one. I found the application not easy to use, and it didn't inspire confidence because the app is called "promova," but when we access the website, it has a different name. I tried to cancel the subscription, and the website showed that I didn't have any subscriptions, but I was still charged. Terrible app and develepors. My mum downloaded this app to improve her English. She bought the premium subscription which was 30 dollars for 2 months I think and was a ‘special discount’. Later when she checked her bank account she found out they had charged her 60 dollars instead. Not only that, when trying to login with the premium subscription account it would not let her in saying no such account was currently active.

Rubbish!!!!. They deducted money from my account as a free trial !!!! THIS IS SO STRESSFUL!!!! A LARGE AMOUNT OF MONEY FOR AN APP!!. On February 9, 2024, I signed up for a subscription with this app, which I believed would deduct 10 dollars from my account every month. However, I was shocked to discover that a total of 135 dollars was deducted from my account today. This has caused me significant financial distress, as that was my only available money. I understand that there may have been a misunderstanding or error in the subscription terms, but I cannot afford this unexpected charge at this time. I kindly request that you refund the full amount of 135 dollars to my account as soon as possible. I will cancel my annual premium subscription with you.

No value for money, useless application. I don't write much reviews but for this I want to tell that this app is only made to charge you money. The charges were 10 dollar for 7 day trial and 48 dollars for lifetime. So the second bait sounded better and I went for it, but when charged it deducted my card for 78 dollars for lifetime. Moreover, the application is made for kids and complete wastage of time. There is simple vocabulary that you might already know. Don't waste your money here.

Charge every month even though I cancelled the subscription. Canceling subscription is an arduous process with Promova. There isn’t any button for canceling the subscription. Once you download the app it charges you permanently even though I hit the cancel automatic renewal in subscription part of the settings.

Good courses, inconvenient app. Courses and content are great but the application is super inconvenient! First, there are not enough options in settings. I want to change my learning preferences but there is no such tab in settings!!!! Moreover, I cannot edit courses I chose to learn. Second, the premium options are not sufficiently described and I had to contact costumer support to know features.

Do not buy this app!!!. Never buy this application. I followed their ad on Instagram, which promised a 7-day free trial with refund if I wasn't satisfied. After 2 days I decided I wouldn't have the time to devote to the app so I asked for a refund. In the first email, customer service played with the vocabulary by telling me that my refund request had been "noted". I asked for a refund confirmation again before seeing after several exchanges that they wanted a screenshot of 10 completed lessons. Something which is not precisely indicated when you sign up. Then when I said that this was unacceptable, I sent the screenshots of the completed lessons anyway, and someone got back to me saying that the plan I had signed up for didn't offer 7 days free but that they were kind enough to refund me anyway! What a bunch of scammers and thieves. Not only did their Instagram ad mention 7 days free trial, but I also respected their incongruous request for 10 lessons completed and on top of that they make me look like a liar. Just never buy this app. And of course they're going to respond to this comment by saying to contact their customer support because they're concerned about the issues. The irony.

It so expensive.. I would like to get a premium subscription but it costs $10 weekly. That’s insane. If I would have it for one year, it will be 520 bucks. That’s crazy. For that money I can get a ESL course or several hours of personalized classes. When you lower the fee I will suscribe. Be more reasonable. There are many apps as good as this much cheaper.

Does not worth even half its price. Costumer support doesn’t respond, apple store support doesn’t get the refund, very poor selection of words which you can find easily in internet, I regret i bought it, don’t be fool like me and avoid this app seriously.

False advertising. I got many ads on instagram for this app which showed reading a story in Spanish with annotations in English. This functionality if it exists is so well hidden that even someone’s who makes apps could not find it. Instead there was a chat feature (useless) and a basic learn new words feature

Only got it for the cute cat mascot. Honestly I wasn't expecting much, but after trying the first lesson it wasn't for me. I'm just a beginner in the language (Japanese) I want to learn, so I choose that level. It instantly threw two word sentences at me and used Kaji mixed in. Also most images and stuff had trouble loading even though my internet was perfectly fine. It kept asking to buy the subscription annoyingly. There's better choices like Duolingo, but at least out of all the other low quality apps, this one had a cute cat mascot :)

The audio. Hello the audio or the verbal pronunciation is horrible. It should be down with a spanish native speaker not a English speaker trying to speak spanish.. especially at the advanced level.

Just a bunch of vocab lesson, not personalized. This is marketed as a unique and personalized plan of study. When I actually signed up and purchased a subscription, all I was given was a bunch of beginner vocab lessons. I am requesting a refund, as I only used it for less than a day and quickly found out that it was not actually very helpful.

Scam. So I speak intermediate Spanish and I downloaded this app. I used it for a total of 1 minute before I realized it is a very unreliable way of learning Spanish. The computer generated voice mispronounced every word I clicked on. If you didn’t know any better you would just be learning Spanish incorrectly! Horrible app for a decent English level. I installed this app, because of an Ad that I saw. Unfortunately, it was misleading information. I paid for a full month because the app asked me to pay before I try it. I understood that it's not gonna work right away, and rested a refund. The customer service don't want to do refund!!! Don’t have Native language to represent all. I was excited to use this app seeing all the advertisements on social media, I couldn’t start off from the very second sign in question about native language. I am from Nepal and I couldn’t find any option for Nepalese language in the section. My suggestion is that it is better to acknowledge language and people from various countries which helps building a strong diverse client background.

What you see is not what you get. I was drawn to this app after seeing some adds on insta gram that shows really fun learning tools like reading a book in Spanish with English translation. But once I got in the app and even payed to be a premium user the only resources I have access to are simple vocabulary lessons like every other app. Disappointing purchase for men

Misleading advertising. The app DOESNT CONTAIN BOOKS with the desired language (in my case, Spanish with English subtitles). Unless it’s an additional subscription. Also, I clicked the “free trial” monthly version and it charged me $20. “FREE”. Deleted this misleading app and requesting my money back. Did one lesson to see how it was. Not worth it. Duolingo is better and cheaper for what you get.

Useless App and deceptive name. I purchased the app to boost the vocabulary based on tje advertisement with lifetime membership and found out that I wasted my money. I just needed to remember good words as I often struggle to find right words and I liked the pictures to help me remember the words but it uses wrong hindi translations and no english to english option. Developer needs to offer that rightaway.

Don’t get it. You’re better off getting Duolingo than this. It starts off asking for a lot of money then when you actually start it doesn’t start from the very beginning like most language apps. Fails in the very first step!. First, this application requires you to enter your native language but gives you a very limited list of most common languages only. If your mother tongue is not listed, which was the case for me, you cannot proceed unless you choose one of the existing languages. This was enough for me to realize this application is not worth my money and my time!

Scam and poor quality. What a nightmare. So many glitches in this app: you can’t see the whole word, you can only do a little bit each day, they teach Spain Spanish instead of Mexican. They want me to jump through all kinds of hoops to get a refund, like do 10 lessons and take a screenshot, which would take 10 days; provide a video of my screen.

Avoid this — horrible experience. Through an Instagram ad, I responded to a free trial and then after trying it decided I was not interested. Within a day, I messaged the support team through the app and asked for a cancellation. They asked me why and I said I wasn’t interested. They tried to give me other offers which I ignored. I just found out they charged me $20 and I am absolutely furious and have opened a PayPal dispute.

Add audio. Love the app, very interactive. However, I find audio is lacking at some exercises. For instance, when I do gap fill or multiple choice tasks I really want to hear how the answers sound.

I’ve kept up every day so far. That’s got to count for something. Helping me retain 1 language by choosing a base language besides my target language is helping me.

Doesn’t work. I️ signed up, paid, got confirmation emails and went to log on and it says there is no active account with my email. Even though they sent me 4 emails?! Now I️ have paid and it won’t even let me reset my email. Only to contact customer service. They should really have these glitches worked out with an app that has been active for a couple years.

Basic words only. I picked an Advanced Level and the words were like: clothes, wake up, alarm, credit card. Seriously? You call it an Advanced Level? I had looked at over 5 word sets, and non of them impressed me. I guess if you have just started learning English, then this app is for you

Valuable app. Literally i’ve never had a perfect lessons like in this app, i’m really hoping to improve my english with this app,thank all of the producers of this app.

Scammy, ad-filled, not the right Spanish for my area. This app was advertised showing a podcast and vocabulary used, highlighting it and helping customers to learn Spanish. When I got the app, it wasn’t at all like the ad, and in fact just was mainly more ads, and it’s telling me words in Spanish that aren’t the words used in my area. I am unsatisfied and want a refund.
