Better, but still plenty to improve. After the issue where the app stopped working, the Falou team worked very hard to restore my streak, which I appreciate so much. That said, there is still a lot this app can improve on, like offering streak saves in the event of another issue (much like Duolingo and Drops both have). The vocabulary practice is nice, but the voice recognition needs some improvement. I’m working on German, and while it recognizes “seibzehnte” and “achtzehnte”, “sechszehnte” and “neunzehnte” never seem to hear the -te on the end of the words. Others have mentioned that the speaking is merely memorization of specific phrases, which is true, and while it gives a good idea of how the words work together, I wouldn’t say it’s really teaching you the language. Overall I think it’s a decent app if you’re using it to reinforce language learning, but I wouldn’t say it should be your main app for doing so.

Good but stressful sometimes. It's a good app and I encourage downloading it's just annoying and stressful sometimes because right now I'm having an issue where in the writing section, I'm typing the response correctly and it'll change what I wrote and mark it wrong when I click send, or it'll straight up just mark it wrong and then I have to retype the same exact thing and THEN it'll mark it right. It's reflecting on my scores and it's really annoying. I'm not sure what it is, but I think it's a glitch or something. I've tried closing and re-opening the lesson. I've tried closing and re-opening the app. I've even tried typing at different speeds, and it doesn't stop marking it wrong. I double check whatever I spelled before I click send and make sure it's right and it still marks it wrong. It only works when I delete it and retype the same exact thing. It's really frustrating.

Best app ever!. First of all I would just like to say that this app gives you a free trial and if you don’t want to you don’t have to and also it’s really good because it always tells you what you need to learn and what you don’t need to learn right now I am in middle school and I really really really want to learn Spanish I’m taking a Spanish class but my teacher is not helping at all because she’s half Italian and half English or in other words American and sometimes it messes her up a lot so I use this app to make her think she’s helping and I have a pretty good grade in it so far thank you so much for this app please download it if you’re trying to learn any language! Sorry if it’s too long bye!

Helpful and streamlined UX. This app is a great supplement to all of the language learning apps I already use. This one is really focused on speaking, which is present in Duolingo (which I have used for years) but I really appreciate the different approach that this app brings you. Things like transitioning between lessons, interactive and adorable little characters showing up on screen, and even just having a streamlined user interface really add up to making a good app. I really appreciate that the speaking exercises are built around conversation, whereas Duolingo definitely listens to your pronunciation, I feel like all of the things I learn to say we’re in a vacuum within a lesson. Again, like I said, both of these apps are really great companion pieces to each other, and I’m happy to be using both.

¡Falou es la MEJOR aplicación! ❤️. So..I’ve been trying different language learning apps until now and I MUST say that FALOU is the best one I’ve found! That’s just my opinion. Honestly, it’s a great starting place and language practice tool to have when first encountering a new language because it allows you to get to the fun part faster: SPEAKING. In the first five lessons, you’re already speaking the essential phrases of them language: hola…¿cómo estás?…muchas gracias…te veo pronto…if you don’t know what these phrases mean, you should start the Spanish Course on Falou! The app is really helping me to learn very quickly because it gets easier to learn when the program is fun and challenging. I’m currently learning Spanish and brushing up on German (Hallo! Wie gehts?). I have to say…Falou has taken me to a new world of languages - and I can even learn Korean, Japanese and Russian! I’m so grateful for the app because it has helped me a lot to speak with some friends of mine and is a lot fun to consume Spanish content on the internet…so everything I’m getting from Spanish is because of Falou! Thanks Falou team you’re doing a fantastic job!

Awesome experience. I really like that gives you a option to pick a time for when you want to learn the language and it has many choices for you to pick from , also it lets you say the word with your own voice and has voice recognition and it makes it fun and challenging for you on the way of your learning witch I really enjoy and on top of that it has pictures real pictures instead of animated pictures like duo lingo and so far I would pick this over duo-lingo . The only part that I don’t understand is that it says fully free yet you have to pay for a better experience but that doesn’t make me change my opinion for this app it’s just a noticing but this app is truly amazing so if you’re thinking of downloading this do so .

Perfect. I was learning Japanese with Duolingo and some other apps and besides the limits and fewer languages, I can say I am pretty impressed by how better this is. While you don’t learn you to write Japanese neither does it teach you other things like grammar, sentence structure, and Kanji that are also important to learning Japanese surely it dosen’t make you 100% fluent but it is great for learning most Japanese that you need, not just the basics. Falou I think did a great job but no grammar, how the words are used, and other stuff it does teach you a large portion of Japanese that you need to go even further and learn required things such as grammar and Kanji. At least I can say it is fairly ok, but not the worst. It is not the best app and cannot fully teach a language like they said but it does help!

Terrible. Very pushy with making you pay for the subscription, I felt like every window that would pop up would ask me to pay for the one year (which, in my opinion, isn’t worth $100+). Once I finished what they consider the “Trail period,” they tried to give me a “special discount,” which I didn’t want to pay for, but there was no way to exit that screen unless you either pay for the year or force quit the app (very predatory). There are no options for just standard free lessons. It’s either you pay, or you don’t get to learn with them, which I wouldn’t say I liked because I don’t believe people should have to pay for knowledge, especially if it’s something like learning a new language. Lastly, the lessons in the “ trail” aren’t in-depth enough. It’s just listening, copying, and repeating with no explanation on how to create sentences, or if there are formal and informal ways to say things, they don’t even try to go over the alphabet. Since I am a beginner, I expected them to curate materials to my level, yet it felt like I was doing it. Intermediate lessons I couldn’t follow. I’m going to go ahead and stick with Duolingo and practice on Hellotalk for language learning.

This is the best. When I first got this I was like “why would I get this it’s just gonna be one of those thing where they say amazing things in the ad then are awful”when I started using I was begging to like it befor I wouldn’t use anything but Duolingo but I’m LOVING at his app and you only have to pay for extra stuff so for people with tight budgets THIS IS GREAT you can use lessons for free and not that many ads so far is I choose this or Duolingo I would choose this but for now I’ll use both but for people with tight budgets or people having trouble learning and being stressed out like me this is great and unlike Duolingo you can practice your mistakes FOR FREE Duolingo says there mission is to make education but this app just blew it out of the water I’m so glad I saw you ad everybody needs to download this

Great. I think this is a very good app. It has been helpful in my language learning. Even when you have only spent a little time on it, it already helps. Definitely learning to speak sooner is helpful. Often when you start a language, speaking it can feel a lot more daunting then the other parts. But we need to at least try, even if it is only in the comfort of our room for a while. If you learn pronunciation first, it sets you up for stronger success as you go through the process. The only reason I don’t give a full five stars is because there seems to be a little problem. From time to time there will be a word or phrase that I certainly said correctly and yet it still puts the x and I can’t move forward. I know that I said it correctly because I showed to my friend who it is their native language. It’s a bit frustrating to be stuck when it is certain I had not said it wrong.

Unnatural and casual sentences. I wanted to practice my Korean speaking skills since due to COVID-19 I haven’t had any opportunities to practice and improve. I started by using the business course and it was fine. However, I took a look at the language taught in the other courses and I was shocked. The scenario was supposed to be running into a stranger on the street, but the phrases taught were completely casual language and just seem like they were put through a translator. In Korea, casual language on the first meeting is a big NO, and I feel that teaching this to beginners with no prior knowledge of Korean culture or the honorific system is super dangerous. You’re putting new language learners on a road to humiliation when they are supposed to feel proud of themselves the first time they speak in a new language. Please consider having your lessons checked by native speakers before you release them.

Great potential but the Japanese seems a little off 😅. The first few lessons were alright and the app is entertaining. I purchased a year prescription because it seemed like it could be a good supplement. But as I got further along I started seeing small errors like こんばんわ、which should be こんばんは. And I have seldom seen the kanji for ありがとう (有難う) actually be used in real life, especially in casual form (but maybe it's not a bad thing to leave in? But I didn't even see it written that way in advertisements or on thank you cards). The level of keigo being used seemed inconsistent and the conversations started to feel unnatural. Please have a native review and revise your lessons if possible? I'm not fluent in Japanese, but I'm not a beginner in my studies either. I just returned home from a visit to Japan and wanted something to build and maintain my language skills. I apologize for being direct. Best of luck to this app!

It’s not as helpful as it should be. I initially rated this app 5 stars before because it has a nice design and emphasizes practicing your listen and writing skills and speaking accurately. Now, however, I have noticed that there are other things about this app that are lacking. I already know a lot of French from taking 4 years of it in school but I wanted to start practicing again because I’m starting to lose it. Because I already have a lot of experience, the app isn’t completely terrible for me but from what I’ve seen I don’t think this app is that good for beginners. It doesn’t really break things down for someone that would like to learn how to form sentences and communicate well in a new language. If you start using it without already knowing some vocabulary, verb conjugations, and sentences structure, it will likely take you a while to figure it out if you’re using solely this app. I’m probably going to keep using it but I thought it was important to give this warning.

Actually pretty good. Maybe I judged this app too hastily before. I’m coming back to update my review and to say it’s actually pretty good. The reason I gave a premature review earlier is that the app prompted me to leave a review when I was only about 30 minutes into it. In my opinion, a person should have more experience with an app before leaving a review. So I switched my target language to Español and I’ve been happier with learning it. The conversations make more sense now. And the other benefits of this app are still true from what I mentioned before: that the native speakers sound very good, the app gives you plenty of chances to practice, and I love that it teaches both conversations and vocabulary words. Now that I’m learning Spanish I was able to see that there really is a lot of material to learn so I finally decided to subscribe. Also, the Spanish learning course has a lot more instructional videos, and as they say it is good to really take your time in learning it. When you start a new unit and it dives in to teaching you a new conversation, you can take your time and press each word of the sentences you are asked to repeat. When you do this, it sounds out the word for you and even highlights the letters you are hearing. If you do this several times, your pronunciation really will improve. I took high school Spanish for years and I already sound much better than I ever did then. Thanks for making such an incredible app, Faloü!

Love the learning process. Positive review below, but I also wanted to comment that I wish the app allowed you to set your own goals. My goal isn’t to use the app every day (I get Portuguese practice other ways). It would be nice if there was a way to say that you just want to practice 5 days a week and not feel reprimanded about not doing a lesson one day. I moved to Brazil six months ago. About six months before my move, I started Pimsleur Portuguese because I wanted to focus on learning a language through speaking rather than the nearly impossible way of becoming fluent through the academic/grammatical method taught in schools. I had “learned”Spanish that way and knew that there had to be a better way. I love Falou paired with Pimsleur. I have made so much progress and it is because you need confidence speaking and learning from mistakes like Falou does.

Developers, please read!!. I just got the app and already subscribed to the 1 year PRO to see how I liked it. So far, I noticed that most of the content is based on travel or business. As someone who wants to learn spanish to converse with spanish-speaking friends, this is unhelpful to me. It’s very boring too. I also accidentally started too far ahead in the Spanish course, and it will not allow me to go back to the easier levels. I’m stuck in the intermediate and don’t know enough to really engage my memory at all. I wish there was a way to reset progress in order to fix this mistake but I feel like I just paid to be stuck not understanding anything. I also noticed that the listening portion of the app does not give any subtitles or anything to help me make sure I’m understanding what is being said. I just kind of have to listen and hope I know what’s going on. There’s a lot that could be improved about this app; and when people are spending good money to use it, there needs to be more flexibility. Not allowing us to backtrack to earlier levels of difficulty is inconvenient, not giving context in listening activities is also inconvenient, and only teaching spanish in business or travel contexts is boring and unhelpful to those wanting to learn for pleasure. If these issues were fixed, this app would be awesome! I see a lot of potential, I just hope these issues are addressed soon.

New to the App but I am impressed!. So, with all of the technology in the world, I’ve been able to connect with more and more people across the globe. Also, the students I teach come all over the world and they have exposed me to many languages. I started out learning with Duo, and don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy it. I think the two apps work very well together as this one forces you to be okay with being uncomfortable. It is incredibly hard to speak another language. Especially one you’re not familiar with or one with another alphabet than you’re used to. This app truly breaks that barrier and gives you tools to succeed along the way. Granted, I’m only on day one but I have high hopes for this app. It is very user friendly and I love that not only can you practice speaking, you can also listen to conversations. Keep up the great work and development! I’m truly enjoying what this app currently has to offer!

BEST EVER YOU MUST DOWNLOAD. This is the best app ever you need to download it it’s the best ever it helps you speak any language you want I learned so many words thank you creator of this app you are a life saver now I can talk to my grandma because she understands English but she’s not able to speak it so I’m going to have her download this app so she can speak English 🥳😊 whoever the creator of this app is thank you so much I always get comments from my family saying that I should learn Spanish so I could communicate with them and so I could understand what their saying and I feel embarrassed and ashamed because I can’t speak Spanish but now I’m gaining confidence and learning Spanish so thank you for teaching me this language.

Just.. wow! Best language app ever.. This has to be the best language app on the planet.. just so easy and fun.. and I sound like I’m a paid spokesperson right now lol but seriously I just found it on Apple spotlight and gave it a try and I think I might actually use this thing for more than the typical 3 days I’ve tried other apps like Rosetta, drops, or babble .. it’s catchy and clever.. very modern. The ONlY thing I’m concerned about is the accent/pronunciation accuracy, since I’ve just started Spanish and I think i only misspelled a single word out the whole lesson.. I’m not sure if I’m just that good or if the AI can’t find errors that may be there .. but that’s just my take.. at least I’ll actually enjoy learning this way 🦾🙌🏼

Really good (if discounted price). The full membership price is ridiculous in my opinion. But you can get a reduced discounted rate, ($30 a year for an individual) which gets offered to you after you complete your first section and say no to their family plan a few times. With this price, it was highly worth the money. I have used duolingo for several months and this app has been working a lot better for me. I find it quicker to learn full conversations that you would use right away- instead of just learning random vocab. Big fan. But omg they do need to calm down how often the try and get you to leave reviews or purchase the full content in the beginning- it was very annoying. But it does calm down a bit after. 😂 really good though!

Lots of issues. I think this app has a lot of potential, but it’s difficult to quickly report errors or issues on the app and weeks go buy and it’s never fixed. There are a lot of vocabulary sections I can’t use for example because they have used the exact same phrase for two different pictures and definitions. There are multiple pages where the text is cut off. So I can’t even see the phrase I’m supposed to translate. Sometimes the audio doesn’t match the words they ask you to say in the speaking activity or the number of blanks they give you is too many for the number of words they want. These all seem like easy fixes but they need a better system for receiving information about these issues and for fixing them. It’s not worth paying for something when you are constantly finding errors and having to remember what units or what vocabulary sections to avoid.

Overwhelming amount of non-lesson content. This app is obnoxiously filled with non-lesson related sounds and videos, the majority of what you hear will not be language learning content. I think I spent 75% of my first hour on here listening to the app play annoyingly loud videos and music to convince me to get premium rather than sounds related to an Italian lesson. The lessons are also incredibly short and there are no explanations for any of the learning. Additionally, each lesson only has like 5 or 6 words/phrases to learn and those words are repeated for 3-5 lessons in a row without any additional lesson or words. There isn’t much learning happening compared to the speed at with other repetition language learning apps provide. Also, get ready to be assaulted by the number of pop ups and help icons that never go away in the middle of lessons to tell you how to perform a task you’ve already done in every lesson previous. It greatly takes away the learning when there is little to learn and the app spends its time trying to distract you into paying for premium/pro features. Instead of offering more learning by paying for premium, it’s offering to be less annoying and distracting if you pay for premium. This app would have a lot of potential if it wasn’t so obnoxious and focused on actually teaching a language. I think they spent more time and money designing their mascot and in-app advertising videos than the actual lesson plans.

Honest review and this is so underrated. This is my second review and I’ve been looking at most of the reviews it’s an amazing app and sorry for mentioning Duolingo a lot of the other one but I have been trying to learn Portuguese because most of my family speaks it I’ve been really wanting to learn I’m just nine and they have amazing courses for me to go I said I was nine it’s not gonna be that many hard work and there’s one word I just can’t say it’s meat but in Portuguese it’s a little hard and they keep showing me and showing me because they’re realizing that I can’t say it correctly so they even did a little course and it helped me so much on saying that word this app is amazing it is underrated but the only problem is which a lot of people are occurring is that the voice track thing isn’t working that well I said most of the words perfectly or like I heard it I thought it was that until I just kept saying the same word in the same word and it said wrong and also it’s not a bug but I recommend that maybe when you get it wrong it would make kind of sound not just have it at the bottom so you can know even if you’re wearing headphones and out paying attention you just repeat it not just wait for the little thing to turn it to an X or the checkmark

⚠️Good but ,. Ok so this app if probably one of thee best apps to learn languages .? It’s super effective and fun ( I’m also writing it down in notes and listening to podcasts on my own ) but the main problem I have is that it takes time . What I mean by that is once I first got this app , it was amazing ! Then it stoped after a lot of lessons, keep in mind it was the first day, I was addicted to it !! It’s super fun like I mentioned earlier! As I went on the next day , it only let me do 1 lesson and made me wait 6 hours for another one ?? Then today the same thing happened and I had to wait 13 hours !! After I waited 13 hours ( keep in mind it only lets you do 1 lesson unless you get premium ) it STILL only let me do 1 lesson and is making me wait 22-23 hours ?? Plus there are so so so so many adds about how you should get premium, please fix this if someone doesn’t want to get premium just accept it and move on ?? Please don’t make us only do 1 lesson a day and wait many hours to do another .

I love this app. Using this app right now this is like one of the best FCU was like I love this this will definitely help me with it in the thing is they put you in real life situation is just trying to teach you would like and I guess ABC order a picture in real life situations to use these worded and they for what you type it in you have to pay for the premium version but it’s still super good for the free version. You still get to say it you still get to see the videos you still get to get put in real life situation and I guess you get coins and stuff but like this I guess one of the best app to use if you’re trying you’re trying are trying to get help with your classes, her stuff and if you’re trying to get better at a certain language to use this app definitely

wow.. i’ve been through like 6 different language learning apps in the past two months alone, not to mention all the ones throughout the years i’ve been a language nerd, but this is only the second one i’ve ever bought a subscription for. it’s fun and helpful and i love it so far. the only critique i have is something i’ve found unique to the korean course (i’ve done korean and spanish so far). when i’m using my own keyboard i’ll type the word and i know it’s right, let’s use 안녕하세요 as an example. i’ll make sure my spelling is correct and autocorrect is not interfering, and even then it will occasionally glitch to spell as 안녕하셍ㅛ, after i make sure it’s correct and submit it, and then because of the weird glitch it says it’s wrong and i have to redo it. this happens with other words as well but that’s the first example that came to mind. it also occasionally just Does Not register your voice and will give you 0% for that sentence on the speaking lessons, but it’s rare. other than these bugs this app is fantastic!!

Has major problems. I wanted the app to be useful but it is having major issues in Hungarian. Reading the review it seems good so it may be a language specific issue. The main issues I have is when attempting to do the words section, around half of the words the audio does not work. It acts as if it is saying a work but no sound plays. It makes completing the section hard because it is supposed to say the word and you pick what is being said but if no word is being said it impossible to pick correctly. Another minor issue is the certificates they give you for the time you use the app for. Mine never opens when I attempt to look at it. Not a big issue since the certificates do not matter but I paid for a premium subscription and support is no existent when I contacted them about the issues with the app. If you use it only use the free version.

Best game in the world if you wanna learn a new language. This is the best app I have on my phone I learned so much different languages in like a day it’s oh really good app you should use it it teaches me so much hopefully if you try it I will teach you as much as it did to me you should really try this app and this is a kid telling you this it is so good I’m learning Spanish right now and it is going great I’m a kid writing this but it’s true this app is amazing you can get some questions wrong but it teaches you a lot you have to try it ... it’s the best thing ever...(everybody’s trying this app it is so good!) this app is amazing it teaches you so much things it is great if you want to learn a new language can I ask you questions

10/10 would recommend. I absolutely love Falou , it helps so much and is so amazing at giving instructions and letting you know that it’s OK to be incorrect. They are very good about not being too harsh and letting you know that it’s OK to not know everything on your first day. They are so helpful when it comes to mispronunciation they let you know in a kind and helpful way and give you step-by-step instructions on how to prevent and fix it. They give you real life conversations and help you learn as many languages as you want. I love Falou so much because it is such an amazing experience so helpful and it is very efficient and super easy to catch onto. Falou has made learning Italian so easy for me and now I can finally talk to some of my older family members.

Meh 🫤. So when I just opened the app it was pretty nice, it did have a few errors where it didn’t capture my mistake but that’s really common for a app. After some lessons I noticed there were a lot premium offers so I declined. Then it kept giving me pop up adds Again, so I declined again but that only made it worse. So after I was done with the each lesson there would l o n g adds for 14 minutes Straight talking about how I should get premium, since there adds had no skip button I had no option but to watch it. I was still not interested into buying it. I keep declining the offers but they just keep popping up. Then they made it cheaper which was okay but I still wasn’t going to get it. So finally after the 14 Minutes was up I got to finish my lessons without getting adds and I finally started to get better but then of COURSE you have to have premium to stay on the app for 6 hours! really you have limited time to stay on a app and watch really long adds just to stay on the app?

It’s great but just one small problem.. I’ve only started this app a day ago and it’s worked amazingly! It gives you real situations that might happen, and I think that’s the best way to learn a language. Here’s the problem, today I went back to falou I started completing the lessons(I’m doing Japanese) and I got to “shopping” everything was fine until it asked me to say kakudo, I said it exactly like the example but every time it would say I said kadudo or something completely different. It might very well be that I just said it wrong. I know it’s a small problem but I just wanted to tell anyone interested in Japanese. I made a goal to get all of them right just to make sure I can memorize but I guess I’m just going to have to skip this one. And again this app is amazing and I totally recommend so just because of one word not working don’t think it’s bad! 😊

It’s pretty good 👍🏼👍🏼🐒. I mean, I love the app overall, but, when you don’t have premium, it gives you a limit every day. You can’t do any more courses after a set amount of time, and I thought that was annoying. But I do love how at the beginning, they asked you where you were at from you don’t any of it at all, to speaking very confidentially in the language. I also like that you immediately start learning some somewhat complicated words after a few courses, and, ya know, you always gotta be up for the fun challenge, am I right? Another thing I like is that they do a lot of you speaking the sentences, and they have you write it near the end of each course as well. I love that at the end of each course, they have a challenge:) Those are always fun for me. In the challenges they have you speak the sentence after the person tells you or asks you something in the conversation that you’ve been practicing. I also like that, right now, they have a 70% off discount for premium, which is very generous! Thank you, Falou!

10/10,would download again!. What impressed me, Personally.. It has a feature that not only grades what you said, but how you articulate it and the different exercises! Between the random encounter scenarios that offers a significant practical aspect, to the learning tools at your disposal! Man I got to go ahead and throw my stamp of approval on this app. If your looking to further your interest be it at a casual level, or a committed dedicated scholar look no further falou people what more can I say? If your really crazy you can use the hard mode in app, or add the Korean keyboard to your keyboards and use that through the app! I could go on but don't take it from me go find out and join the greatness!

Great App but stop forcing me to try or bug premium.. I just downloaded the app today and so far so good but it’s annoying to have to find the cancel button every 5 minutes to cancel the promotion for premium. Whether the person chooses to get or not to get premium is up to them. It should not be repetitive or come off as being ‘forced’ onto the user. Some people who may not have English as their first language may click on it and be charged or get frustrated because they’re not as tech savvy. Especially if they’re trying to learn another language and keep dealing with this. We all don’t have money to spend on premium. It’s a great app, please don’t ruin it for those/us that use it.

Please download!!!!. Ok some people say these are fake reviews, but it’s not!!! My family SPEAKS ROMANIAN!!! I found this app and I loved it. I decided I would get Duolingo as well to compare them. And oh my gosh I freaking love this!! It awesome and I want to be able to talk to my Bicu so he doesn’t have to try and speak English. I felt bad and wanted to do something bad, so I found this app. And I’m not bothered by ads (it actually has less than my games do) anyway I was born in the United states and can’t understand it and I couldn’t do it anymore, I wanted to learn. This is very accurate because I’ve seen and heard a lot of these words, and when I say a lot i mean ALOT. Sorry it’s so long I just love ur app 😁 Bye!!

Honest review please read.. I’m learning Spanish and this a great app for learning new vocabulary and simple things. Sometimes they bombard you with long sentences that are near impossible to complete. Which I feel needs to NOT be in there. Maybe break the sentences up then later put them together for the longer sentence. Recently an update came where they added a listening and speaking session that is EXTREMELY irritating, especially when you’ve already completed folders, they’re now not done. It’s so boring so say “hola”… “buenos”……”días”…. And if anything it discourages me from using the app. There’s no skip option on one of them so you HAVE to do it. It’s a good app sometimes, but I feel like the creators don’t know what they’re doing and are focusing on the wrong areas. Good focuses are ACTUALLY FIXING THE APP. When I’m doing the speech parts (yes including all the easy ones that are pointless) won’t hear a word and say the entire sentence is wrong. When saying “buenos” literally a one worded part, said I got it wrong, so you have to shout your words and basically say it the wrong way so the app thinks you’re correct. But instead the developers like to focus on random bitmoji aspects and things that just ruin the app in the end. It’s a good app for certain tools, but definitely frustrating and confusing at times.

Gets too hard too fast!. Only 3 days of learning from this app is awesome, but I’m already on lesson 55, I think you should creat another tab before the challenge saying,”practice challenge. It allows you to practice before the challenge. I think that should be practice because going back to other lessons to practice, you have to repeat the same sentence that you already know how to pronounce. It’s annoying. So you should say,”Go to the first tab that says practice’ that will help you warm up for the challenge. This could be helpful and you could probably get a lot of money for it because more and more people will learn a lot from your app is you just add the 1 little new feature. If I were the creator, I would keep on thinking of new things to put on my creations so more and more people play it. And the pro thing is too much money, lower the amount.

Why I love this app. I love this app because I always wanted to speak Spanish and this is helping me so quick I love this app so much and everyone should get it if you’re running to lawn certain and ink I love this app because I always wanted to speak Spanish and this is helping me so quick I love this out so much and everyone should get it in your body to learn a certain in like I don’t know language do you want to learn a certain kind of language then get this out because it has over 18 languages is so great everyone should get it is so fun and so easy and it’s not even real people that you’re talking to so you can just talk in there it is like a robot that comes over it is so fun get this app

Great but... It’s great I love this app the way you learn is exactly what I wanted it’s fun and charming. There is a problem. So I’m broke in the App Store because I don’t want to buy a card and use it to get apps that don’t deserve the money. This app I think does deserve the money but if you don’t go premium (Which is 100 dollars a year) then you get one lesson a day. The problem is that I’m going to forget about the lesson that I did exactly a day ago. I don’t think it’s a good way to get people to learn. I think it would have been better if you could do a chapter a day. The listening, the writing, the conversation, and the challenge. That way we can memorize the sentences and use them in daily life. The app is good but the last problem is you get about thirty minutes of free time and then you get the one lesson per day. Do they think that in thirty minutes we’ll all be Italian professor by then. Anyways I’m going to give you 4 stars and Ciao, a presto.✌️

Meh. So far while I’ve used the app it’s been good, speaking exercises, memorizing words and phrases are great. But why should I have to pay to continue learning and why is there a daily limit? I got your competition on the other line, Spanishdict allows people to learn at their own pace for however long and for free. That app also allows you to have lists of words you can review on your own and conjugation drills. Duolingo has the same type of lesson plan, but you can learn for as long as you want so long as you have the hearts (which if you lose any, you can practice to get more or spend in game currency to refill). Those apps have premium subscriptions sure, but they aren’t cramming it down your throat to a point where you have to buy it in order to learn the language that you want to learn. Again, this app is great, but we shouldn’t have to be spending money to learn for as long as we want when other apps don’t put a prohibit on their users

Very interactive! 🐵. I enjoy this app very much. It teaches in a way that for me makes memorizing things a lot easier, all while still being fun to use. ^^ Their lessons are mixed with speaking, writing, and listening drills that are full of useful topics, and things you will ACTUALLY need to know in basic all the way to upper advanced conversations! Another thing I really like about it, is that it monitors how much time you’ve spent learning on each individual language, so you can better track your time spent studying, and to me that’s really awesome. It also awards you with certificates for completing different hours worth of time spent studying, and that gives me something extra to strive for within the app. Update: I’ve used falou on and off for a little over 1 year now, and I feel like it has helped me a good bit. Specifically the speaking lessons.

The best app ever. This app is helping me so much. It’s helping me learn my career and that I have never been able to learn one good thing about this app is that you get to listen to what you say and it’s like really fun and challenging at the same time and you get to like watch some little entertainment while practicing it gets harder and harder, but whenever you do it, it gets easier it’s like a game and it’s challenging. It’s like a game because you get to like play and learn and it’s also like challenging because it gets harder and harder. Well that is my review. Have fun with this game and enjoy it and I hope you get to leave a review that I get to read and see how your opinion reacts to this bye-bye.

Good app but... This is a great language learning app but I there are some slight issues. The biggest one for me is that when doing the verbal communication sometimes it will not capture the word. I could be screaming into my phone and it still won’t capture it. I originally started off with Portuguese and did a little bit of Spanish. I’ve gotten a ways into the Portuguese and so fa so good, besides the above mentioned. Also it would be better to add more friendly friend based convos instead all travel and business. If they can fix the issue with it not capturing my word that would be great. Also like many of the people who also left reviews the CONSTANT ads to get premium was really off putting, almost didn’t make me want to get it and go back to duolingo

Wish I could get my money back. I am attempting to learn Japanese and as an English speaker, it’s rather difficult when it comes to writing it. The “writing lessons” are completely ineffective since there is no learning to help with the character meaning or even the sound of the characters so I can figure out where they would fit in the response, especially the Kanji characters. I am learning on the Duolingo app which gives me the necessary lessons on the Hiragana and Katakana so I can figure those out but considering that there are over 2,000 Kanji characters that are used in daily language, it seems counterintuitive to expect people to know which character order it is for the response without any type of help on what the characters even sound like. My only option is to reveal the answer and then type it in. That is not helpful in any way because I learn nothing from it. This type of writing lesson may work for other languages but definitely not for Japanese, or I suspect any other language that is not a Latin or Germanic based language.

This seriously helps. I’m the kind of person that downloads all the apps from the App Store looking for the ones that really help improve on something. I’m thankful I finally found this app!! I’ve always had a hard time learning French, in fact, I had French classes in school for over 4 years and couldn’t speak anything, only basic sentences. It’s great to finally have an app that pushes me to speak and help me improve my pronunciation. And it really works!! Whenever I make a mistake it tells me exactly what’s wrong so I can fix it, and when I try for the second time I always get it right! It’s so motivating! I’m finally building confidence to speak so it’s helping me with my French classes as well. My friends are like “how can you speak French and I can’t!”... I didn’t share the app with them yet! LOL But I will because it’s now my favorite language learning app ever. Thanks for this guys! I really enjoy this “new method” you came up with. I think all people should give this app a go. It might not be for everyone but I’m sure it will help somehow. Thanks again! Sorry for the long message. Lol

Tried Everything… FALOU Works!. I’ve tried many different programs to learn and master German. From Duolingo to Babbel and even Lingoda and I have to say that FALOU makes me feel like I’m not only learning the language but also living it. Their friendly user interface and their idea of having to record my voice as a way for me to have a conversation with their program makes me feel excited and motivated to stay committed to this application. Trust me when I say this that Falou is not only different but they are truly tailored for your needs to mastering a new language. I can even say that I’m finding this app more effective than in-person lessons! My Swiss girlfriend has been wanting me to improve my German ( I speak English and Spanish) and after sharing my first conversation my girlfriend found this to be perfect to pronouncing and improving my confidence! I’ll be sure to recommend this app to my family and friends and anyone wanting to master a new language! :)

Great app, bad voice analysis. First off, I really like this app and the way it’s formatted for learning. I just finished my trial and am planning on purchasing, it’s better than a lot of them out there. The two problems that I see with it are these: 1. It doesn’t seem to have a method in place to practice weak words without redoing entire lessons. 2. (And this is the one that bothers me, as you can tell from the title) voice analysis is a LARGE component of this app, and its just not great. Here’s what keeps happening to me: I’m learning Japanese, right? Japanese has three alphabets, all the sounds are the same, but the characters are different. So the app will have me record myself saying 卵 (pronounced tamago). I say it. Then the app says wrong! My analysis is that you said たまご!! (Which is ALSO pronounced tamago). It’s just some kind of flawed programming but it’s pretty frustrating. But aside from those things, I think it’s a great app so far.

The developer responses are fake. Hello, first, I wanted to give this no stars but I had to give one. On to the matter at hand. When the developers say “we care about your opinion and will use this to further better our app” they are just pacifying you to make you want to keep using the app while you wait for a change that will not happen. Also, they say that you can “still use this app for free” they are saying a half truth. You can use it for free, for 30 minutes! This kind of fraud and lying to customers proves that these people are not to be trusted. They will not change a thing about this app that needs to be changed, only small glitches that don’t lose them money to fix. Also, part of why I deleted this app is because of the marketing. They give you a “great deal just for you” and try to say that time will run out. Time may run out but then they will give you a “better first year offer and it starts over and the personal offer they made is actually given to everyone, These people are lying to y’all and are trying make you feel like you have to buy stuff. Newsflash: you don’t!

It’s amazing except for one thing. When I first got this app it kept showing me the option various times to pay for premium, which I expected and it wasn’t a bother. I started a few lessons and it helped a lot even though I had just started. But now I can only do 1 lesson a day, which only takes me maybe a minute or less to complete so I’m not learning as nice or as much to when I first got it. It is only allowing me 1 lesson a day because I haven’t purchased premium. So I’m afraid I won’t learn the language I’m trying smoothly, or easily since I can only do a singular 1 minute lesson. If you do decide to purchase premium then your set to go, because other than the problem I’m having the app is amazing. And helps you learn quick and easy.

Voice recognition is pretty bad. Not sure what it is because it seems to be using the stock voice recognition on the iPhone but it’s just not picking things up. I speak into the app and it’s only picking up possibly half of what I’m saying. I go to any other language dictation app like DeepL or even apples stock voice recorder and it picks everything up. Also it seems to keep all your voice recordings which is a little strange to me. The AI generated voices in Spanish aren’t the greatest but I’ve searched the web high and low and it does seem they’re using the best options currently out there. Other than that it’s a cool concept and great way to practice speaking but given the failure to record and transcribe properly it’s tough to recommend. Editing to add, it seems like during the testing phrase the blanks to be filled in don’t cover the entire phrase. There were numerous times I was saying the right things to fill in the blanks but the phrase they wanted me to say was longer and that’s the reason I was not passing to the next part. It’s still not picking up the same transcription as other apps such as DeepL though.

So easy and efficient. I love the formate of the app and on my day one, I am focusing on actually learning to not only identify certain words but also be able to pronounce. It’s unfortunate I can’t get the premium version but I am so greatful for the free version. Thank you so much Falou team for making learning so accessible and enjoyable 🤭 I am currently learning Spanish and can’t wait what I will be able to achieve.

Good concept but broken lessons. The app in concept is good however the Malay course specifically is broken. Specifically early lessons mostly work but later on there are missing assets such as audio files in virtually every lesson in the Words section as well as duplicate options to answer with only one of which is accepted even though they are identical. Some of the spoken lessons I believe are broken too such as an early one involving the word “Ringgit” that wouldn’t match even for my wife and relatives who are Malaysian native speakers. Reported the bugs but got no response so eventually gave up on that. There are some more minor quibbles that other apps make too like not telling you what you said in both languages in some question and answer formats so you don’t get that learning reinforcement but they are less “breaking” Its a good app in concept and very few apps teach Malay in this matter so give it a try but prepare to be frustrated. If they review the course and fix all the missing assets and bugs I would probably rank it a lot higher and other languages may be better tested.

Ooo may god. As someone who struggles with dyslexia this is how I can learn another language. The prices for the app maybe a bit extreme but I still have access to a lot of content without needing to pay

Mixed feelings. The app is slick overall but there are some issues. I’m not keen on the animated talking characters. I imagine a lot of effort and cost goes into it, yet consumes the user’s time, contributes no educational value, and can be annoying. Some sentences are too long to recite, and can be tedious to complete especially when some words, though pronounced properly, are rejected over and over again (very frustrating). I think there should be less pressure and more time given to consider the best price premium deal. Would appreciate being able to sample other categories content without paying first to get a better idea of suitability. Would like to try again if the above is improved.

Falou is amazing!. Honestly Falou was able to provide the languages that even Duolingo couldn’t and helped me slowly. Duolingo is good but it’s very fast paced, whilst in Falou they really take their time. You get to practice your pronunciation and improve it and have conversational knowledge. I also like how many of the courses are free! But of course, if you would like extra packages and to skip ahead, you can also try the premium plan. To me, Falou is better than Duolingo and taught me more. And they managed to provide a Malay language course I could follow (not many apps had Malay). Thanks Falou!

Falou. This is such a great way of learning new languages it might help you to learn as much as it’s been helping me I'm so glad that I found this l hope it will be helpful for you as much as it is for me

Excellent and easy to learn. This is my second language app now, and i’ve found this far better flowing and the having the reminders set up to push me to practice once a day is excellent

How I feel about this SPLENDID app!. I’m totally giving this app full 5 star!! I’m going to be learning French in a couple of years, but I decided to learn it now, so in the future, when I learn French, I’m not lost and I’m able to understand well! This is my first ever time testing out the app, and I’m loving it! I’m only up to my 3rd lesson, and I’ve already learnt a full conversation!! Definitely recommended!

Loved at first. I was hooked at the start, loving how much I was speaking portugues and excited to show it to my Brazilian boyfriend…. However there’s many words that no matter how well you pronounce them - they will be incorrect! It’s so frustrating especially because there’s so much else that’s great about it! Urrggg

Most amazing app you can find!. It’s been one day already and I’m already learning and speaking conversations from Dutch this app really helped me and if you try it you will soon enough learn a new language

Ads upon ads upon ads. I understand wanting to make money but just lock some features or something you don’t need to constantly try and push someone to purchasing your subscription. The app has good features but I had to delete it because I can’t even enjoy the features without being bombarded

Loving this app!. Loving this app! I like that is gives you visuals as well (i learn visually better) as listen and writing activities to learn. Been really enjoying this app, even in the short time Ive been using it. Feel like I’ve been able to speak more sentences (in French) than another apps I have tried.

great! Totally recommend this app :). I’ve been wanting to learn French for a long time now, and I can’t get real life lessons so I went on the App Store to check out the apps. I saw this one and thought it looked go so I downloaded it and I’m good at speaking French already!

This app is amazing. I love this app and there is only one thing that I would like to suggest which is doing the audio lessons for free please. I really wish you didn’t have to pay for premium, if you could change it into something different please do. I would give it a 4.5 but there is none.

Love is so far. I love how it allows you to hear your recording and it helps you with the pronunciation of the words! It’s been good so far but I wish it was full free then more people would download it!

Learning French. I just started using the app and it is so simple to use. I saw it advertised on Instagram and I was just interested to learn French as it would be an exciting and new learning opportunity. I highly recommend using Falou, if you’re a beginner or if you’re experienced, and hey at the same time you can impress your friends one day with all the languages you can speak.

LOVE THIS SO MUCH (PLEASE READ👇). Um… I LOVE THIS SO MUCH. You have to say the words not read them and you have conversations (with A.I) which is so good 😊. I hate reading the words out loud because I don’t know how to pronounce them, but with this I actually know how to pronounce them. I %100 recommend this app

Loving. I’ve been trying to learn Japanese for a few years now but because of my dyslexia I’ve always struggled just a little bit more with bits but this app has made it so easy and a lot of fun at the same time. 10/10 would recommend

Amazing 😍😍(pls read this). I have tried speaking Japanese for quite a while now, but I have never found the right app for it. But my problems are solved😊😊 Falou has helped me soo much and has also inspired me to travel and speak to other Japanese people. I have seen some hat comments and bad reviews, but don’t worry 😉... I’d like to see them try make an app this good!😆😆 They day that the app is trash but they are 💯% wrong because this is the bestterest app in the world. Yes I sad bestterest... My advice for everyone is to download Falou right now if you wanna speak a different language. THANK YOU FALOU 😊😊😊😊

dumb. you can literally only go on the app for a certain amount of time unless you pay, which i pretty stupid considering they advertise themselves as an app that can help you learn new languages fast. i get that the idea is people will pay so they can go on for however long they like, but why you gonna put a limit on people using your app. they’ll still be watching all the ridiculously long ads that they gotta watch, so you’ll be making money regardless. if you want people to use your app and you wanna help them learn fast, why you then telling them they can’t practice. they wanna go on the app cause they’re passionate about learning, and it’s quite discouraging when you get blocked from going on because you’ve “reached the limit” and the only way to continue practicing is by paying money i don’t have. quite dumb.

AWESOME LANGUAGE APP. So when I first opened up the app it asked me what I wanted to learn first and I chose Spanish and as soon as I started I already learnt how to introduce myself and I can’t wait for more lessons in the future. So if you want to learn new languages download Falou!!

Exceeding Expectations. Falou looks great from what I’ve seen so far. It’s different to other apps I’ve tried because it helps you to work on pronunciation. Not just reading and matching. You listen to native speakers in a conversational format and can listen to yourself speak on play back.

5/5. I want to be able to speak fluently with my family and this app is helping me lots so far, it is definitely worth downloading it and giving it a try!

Voice recognition. I had to say something way too many times in Greek and repeated multiple times and when I made the mistake it said it was a huge improvement. I don’t know if this is part of the training to keep my accent up or not?

Machine Indeed. This app proves why machines cannot even come close to human teaching methods. I would rather be bugged by duolingo if I had to choose an app. No one talks like that in Korea! I may be a beginner but even the book English is bad, salutations look like a king’s order from Joseon dynasty. It’s like google translate and within the four lessons I did, I already found a major inaccuracy. Plus, they have constant ads in the free version. Starts at $200 and then they bring it down to $40 (for a year). So annoying!

I DONT WANT THE PREMIUM!!. it’s a good app but it’s so annoying getting constantly bombarded by unskippable ads trying to make you buy the premium. It turned me off using the app. If you are going to make a free version, at least make it somewhat enjoyable to use, otherwise there is no point and there should only be the paid version. 🤷‍♂️

I love the pronunciation corrector. It’s great feedback and more about actually conversation than just learning words and reading. The layout is kind of like Duolingo. I’m excited to see how it keeps me engaged

Is Falou a good app?. YESS absolutely, it teaches you every language you would wanna know, and even learn in just 2 days way better than other apps and can change lives, I love speaking Japanese it helps me to be confident.😜😍🥰

Worst app ever wa good at first when you didn’t have to pay money to play. It was a very bad app because you could only play for one day and learn one language until you buy premium just stay in it was not good I give it a one star it was the worst like some bots can’t even teach you like you have to you have to pronounce it right and over and over again and my future sister you did it wrong it’s the worst

Really enjoy. I really enjoy falou it is very good for practicing pronunciation. I have been learning Korean for a while in duo lingo but they don’t do much pronunciation practice. The only negative I have is that if someone were a total beginner to a challenging language such as Korean it would be helpful to have something on Hangul which is the alphabet as well as having an English translation as to what the sentence or word means. Otherwise I really enjoy this app definitely recommend!

Excellent language learning app. Best app out of all the ones I have used. I wish it were a bit cheaper but thoroughly enjoyable. You’re learning about real life conversations and not just about “liking apples” 😉

Great - but seriously chill with the sentence lengths. Trying to learn Korean and I really like this app. But the speaking exercises (at least in Korean), go from very simple to unbearably long. It can be really difficult as Korean has sounds that are not very similar to English. I just wish they would account for that when constructing some of these speaking exercises. Otherwise, a very good app.

Love it!. I’ve only used this app for a few days but boy am I impressed! I had been using Duolingo (don’t come at me lol) but I felt I wasn’t getting anywhere. Then I saw a recommendation for this app. I downloded it and in my first five minutes I had learned 5 new words that Duo didn’t teach me in 5 days! This app is so helpful with so many courses for beginners, intermediated and pros and i love it! Yo soy muy feliz :)

AMAZING APP. I have only had this app for a few days but I can already speak several words in Spanish! It’s the best language app I have ever used! Please get this app! I would recommend it to everyone :) Thank you so much Falou!

Learning Spanish. I’m already past the first day and it’s helped me learn a lot, I have family in Spain and if you do too then this would help you 100% No regrets But price may needa be alot lower for the subscription

Very good except for some speech recognition issues. This app is perfect for complete beginners and advanced learners alike. Falou has lessons that will benefit everyone! I only have one issue and that is some of the sound recognition. Most of the sound recognition is fine but for some words, it says I got it wrong even though I tried multiple times and it still doesn’t work. Apart from that, amazing app!

Falou. This is an amazing app. I’m already feeling confident speaking Spanish and I’ve only been learning for 2 days! I definitely recommend this app to anyone who is looking to speak another language.

Falou est fantastique !. Fantastic foreign language learning app. Learning French and the natural clear speakers help you learn to say and pronounce each word so well. You can tap to hear a phrase again as many times as you like. Your mispronunciations will be pointed out and you can have another try if you like. Also very impressed with the way the sentences are spoken at such an easy medium pace. They can be well understood without seeming too slow. I think by the next time I see Paris, I will be speaking like a native ! By the way, paid $ 200 Australian up front on instinct for an annual subscription. Well worth the investment I reckon. P. S. Learning to speak French at such a nice easy pace might even improve the way I speak Australian English . I have a tendency to speak too quickly; some people can have trouble understanding me. Falou will most likely help. Highly recommended for many reasons.

Good. This app is so good I have only been doing it for 15 minutes and I have already learnt lots. They is so many different languages to learn can’t wait to have a real conversation with someone in French. Good luck with everyone journey.

Best way to learn new languages. I have been learning French it is getting so much easier with Falou all you have to do is pick an language you want to learn then Learn it you can put on timers so you know when to start your lesson way easier than studying 😂 so thanks to falou I might have a trip to Paris hahahahaha 👍🍀

Honestly the BEST APP EVER!. Though there are some people who disagree with this review, most would not! I love Falou so much, it helped me and I started speaking Korean! Obviously nothing is perfect, please remove ads!! 이 리뷰에 동의하지 않는 사람들이 있지만 대부분은 그렇지 않습니다! 저는 Falou를 너무 사랑합니다. 도움이 되었고 한국어로 말하기 시작했습니다! 분명히 완벽한 것은 없습니다. 광고를 제거하세요!! Thx! (Google Translated the Korean bit because I just began today and I’m not really in the part where you type - in national keyboard)

Falou. This app is amazing to learn a new language. It shows you how to improve and also gives the motivation to practice every day. Very supportive and easy to work with and understandable. ;)

Easy to use. Have only been using the app a short time but I like how easy it is to use and how you do a combo of speaking and written work unlike some other apps that just give you words to memorise

My opinion on Falou. Tbh I actually love this app bc it’s helping me with the language that I am learning and it’s also very much accurate and currently trying to learn Korean so basically highly recommend this app if you would want to learn a new language :)

Pretty good. I think this is definitely worth getting. I have had quite a success from this app but it asks you about joining for pro/premium all the time but other than that it’s really good.

Get this app. Since COVID-19 happened I haven’t been able to see my grandma who is from Brazil and texting her is very hardNot knowing how to speak Portuguese so I got this app and I’m in my third lesson and I already love it and know so much

Loved it, still kinda do. This app has incredible features and I really enjoyed using it when I first got it about a month ago. I took a break and come back to find so many features now behind a paywall. I used to be able to switch between languages which is something I really appreciated. I do love the app but now I’m stuck with Japanese which is really sad. I understand needing to pay for some features but sticking to one language almost ruins the app for me.

Word definitions. I’ve only been learning Korean on this app for 3 days and am already learning heaps, I love it so much! The only thing that I think would make it even better is when tapping on the individual words of the phrase you want to practice it should show the meaning of the word instead of learning long sentences.

The new duolingo. I have only been using Falou for a few days and I can say that it’s really good, I’m learning Japanese so I can go to Japan and the courses that they are teaching are perfect just amazing. Highly recommend to any one wanna to learn a new language. The only disappointment I have with it is the price because it was $200 for premium and i think that’s a little so please sort that out then the app will be pitch perfect

THE BEST. You have to ge this app! The premium is only $40 a year! 0.11 cents a day! This is my first day with this app I have only spent half an hour and I already have dramatically improved! You can listen to your language that you want to learn to fall asleep to! It’s such a great app! It’s The best language app! YOU HAVE TO GET IT!!! If I could give it 10 millions stars I would! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Bravado. Muy buena app

Great app, love the voice recognition!. First time using the app for the first 10 minutes! It’s been very user-friendly & the voice recognition helps you feel more confident in pronunciation.

Très facile et rapide pour apprendre une langue. Je suis satisfait

Todo bien por el momento. Esta aplicación me esta pareciendo fabulosa ya que tiene diversos ejercicios y muy simples.

Better. It’s more better then doulingo finding out where you live and get kidnapped so use this app to stay safe from doulingo😭

Hızlı. Güzel ve pratik

Başarı. Harika ve mukemmel

Très intéressant et facile a utiliser. À mon avis sa devrait être gratuit

only juat started but im loving it. ... ba da da ba pa 🍔

Show de bola 👀👀. Muito bom app, parabéns para o criador 🎊👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🎉

I like it a lot!!. I just started studying with this app and it is really nice!

J. Dommage que se la soit payant

Falou. Fait 1semaine que je le pratique chaque jour pendant 15minute et je commence à me parler sais magique

So far so good. Just started using it but I love that they record your conversations so you can hear yourself

Thank you. It’s only my first day and I already know how to speak one sentence of Spanish. ( I have never been able to speak Spanish )

A great app to learn English. I suggest you to download it !

Good. Love it

Great first impression. I want to learn chinese and first lessons are great. You listen, you talk, you write words. So far so good!

My opinion. This is the best app for learning a new language its fun and there is alot of cool things that helps

Very good app. It is a really good app to learn speaking English, however it always asks to buy a premium account with one year. It should give a trial or have monthly payment.

Allo. Ses super

Excelente. Excelente app

Avis. Super cool

A lot of potential but. Self premotioning ads are predatory and inescapable, there are several times where the app must be closed entirely to leave them without paying. If you accidentally click on the payment pop up and close it you’re rewarded by watching another ad! The barraging dies down a little after the first couple of lessons but it’s going to leave a sour taste in your mouth the entire lifetime of this app on your phone. Branding very clearly mimics the green bird that shall go unnamed, and load times are horrid. If you can stomach all of that the speech recognition is good! Needs to either hone in on even more choices to pick from in the beginning, or some sort of test to more accurately gauge your fluency level, my options were either struggling through work place conversations or breezing through “hello my name is” lessons.

Good but. It is a really good app but if you don’t pay for premium soon you have a limit when you can play and they keep on giving ads to make you pay but besides that really great.

Très bon mais cher. J’aime mais c’est coûteux dont ceux qui on pas d’argent peuvent pas faire ces cours

Agresive ads. App and method seem fine, but you don't even get to process what you learned as they harass you with ads. I don't mind paying for things that are worth it, but I detest aggressive publicity. If you want people so bad, just ask them to buy the thing from the get go and don't give a free option? Seriously, your aggressive ads are the reason I dislike this app.

Communication Performance. Just downloaded this app and it looks very helpful for me to learn new languages. Very awesome!

Helped a lot!. I’m a Canadian student so I need to learn French, this helped so much! You don’t need to pay.

Fantastic first day. My first day is fantastic. The app gives a language review making sure you retain what you learn the preview day.

Coréen. Cette app permet de parler. De plus, quant à l’écriture, elle offre 2 niveaux différents.

Excelente app. Estoy aprendiendo fácilmente con falou

Give me a second …. The app tries to sell itself too much. From the start you are bombarded with ads that give you limited sexy discounts to get you to subscribe before you even have a chance to get a taste of the app. It feels like a door-to-door salesman trying to sell you a toaster at 4am. It would be nice to at least offer free few days trial before you are prompted to subscribe.

Love it. I learn really fast but you got to pay a premium but it alll good. Great app⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’m not a bot

love it so much. I’m really learning how to speak a different language

I can’t unsubscribe. I like the app but don’t want to use it anymore. I tried to unsubscribe but it is impossible. I followed instructions and I must to find Unsubscribe button in my settings/subscriptions but it tells “You do not have any subscriptions.” I’m asking for help Dev team because it doesn’t work in the right way Thank you in advance

Learn in a funny way!!. I am learning English and I can practise my vocabulary, prononciation and more! It is amazing!!

Lolo. I love this game I am getting better by the second

Ads. App is like a stripper who’s having a bad night. Will constantly you remind you that it needs money. Begging that you should buy their premium.

Love it. I got a 2 on my report card so I decided that I will get better at French so it’s been helping me!

Money. We do we have to pay like pls let me learn my English free

Great for all learners!!!. Falou is like the better version of Duolingo. It’s courses are much more in depth, and for less mainstream languages, still offers the same learning! It’s help me so much, and I love the non-competitive environment. Would and do recommend to all my friends

Excellent application. J’aime beaucoup cette application

Amazing. This app is amazing so far I learned so many things

Review. I wanted to learn German for my boyfriends family and finally found an app that’s helping me! I jusr wish I didint have to pay to do more lessons

THE BEST LEARNING APP EVER. I wanted to go to Korea but didn’t know how to speak Korean so searched an app to learn. When I tried Falou omg I was so surprised. I couldn’t even say hello or write Korean. I made so many Korean friends!! THANK YIU FALOU

So far so good. I have recently just start using the app, and it seems rather intuitive and useful. However, we will see as a progresses. It is rather expensive though, so I’m just using the free version. As for now.

Too many ads and limited if you don’t pay. I think this app has the potential to be good but after the first day it only lets me do one tiny lesson before saying I reached my daily limited. It might be good if you pay for premium but it’s hard to say because I haven’t been able to really see what the app offers by using the free version. The constant ads and request to pay made me a little turned off which is too bad because I did like the few lessons I was able to access. They probably shouldn’t bother having a free version.

Italian. I like it

Amazing. I JUST downloaded this app and bern practicing for 15 minutes but its been great so far

Learn so fast. 5 stars I decided to learn Turkish and it’s awesome love it I can learn so fast try it you will love it!!!!!!!!!! You can you use it for traveling to new places and really useful like I am going to Dubai and Istanbul so I picked turkey to impress my family’s and this app is so perfect. Like how I said it’s awesome for traveling you can learn a new language just in a plane !!wow!! Like use this app if your going on long flights like 30-50 hours and just like how I said you will be speaking on a other level I been doing ful for 1 month and I am speaking on fire download ful now you will love it. 𝓛𝓸𝓿𝓮 𝓵𝓮𝔂𝓵𝓲.𝓝

What?!! Really?!!!! That’s me!!. I was doing the exercises where I speak the words. At the end of the lesson unknown to me at the time Falou recorded my successful pronunciations and paid the “conversation” back to me. I was surprised to HEAR MYSELF speaking Portuguese! What a confidence booster! AND hearing me speak … totally changed my self image! I no longer see myself as one who is learning to speak Portuguese and hoping one day I can do it. NOW I see myself as someone WHO HAS spoken Portuguese and simply need to “keep speaking”. So my strategy is simple. On my daily 40 minute walk, I’ll do a 30 minute lesson. Kill two birds with on stone! Obrigado Falou!

….. This app recently had an issue with the mic and speech recognition. I reached out to the developer and they got in touch with me quickly and made improvements to the app, which cleared up the microphone and speech recognition issues. Now, back to learning my new foreign language! I highly enjoy the interactive chats and “speaking lessons”. These record you saying words and phrases in your new language and give you tips on how to pronounce the new word or phrase as well as an example of how it is said in normal or slow speech. This app has a variety of fun lessons and makes learning fun. I use Falou along with multiple other language learning apps and found Falou to truly help with speech engagement that Duolingo does not offer whatsoever, which was the ultimate selling point. Thank you Falou and its developers. Back to learning.

How Falou has helped me. You see I have a dad that’s my real one and I have a stepdad and my stepdad is only Spanish he knows a little bit of English and it’s only my first day using Falou and OMG it has helped me so much andI’m not just saying this because like I like it and I think you should really think you should because if you have a dad that’s fully Spanish and you don’t know Spanish as much even though it’s in your culture will then use Falou and then click on the Spanish category but if you want to learn other ones besides Spanish then you can click on any other category anyways bye or how do you say in Spanish adios

Good Concept But Bit Racist/ Misandrist toward White/ Olive Males (AKA Woke). The approach is actually surpassingly affective bc it throws you into typical situations without getting too analytical or staying stuck one any one detail. The reason I took two stars off is bc all of the males so far are black. Sweden only has 0.8% black people. As a half white/ half Arab male I’m alarmed at the amount of racism toward males who are not black skinned. Somehow white women are exempt from this discrimination in this app. This seems to be part of a near global trend that really comes across as spiteful, exclusionary and mean spirited, misandrist, and not to mention senseless when learning the language of a country with less than 1% black people. Hopefully governments are going to intervene soon bc this is getting out of hand. Will cancel app if it continues to be almost all black males and no other male races.

Overall pleased. I have never made an in app purchase before but I liked the way that this app forces me to work on speaking skills. Sometimes when I speak it corrects me, telling me that I said certain words that I definitely didn’t say. Frustrating, but quite rare. For the speaking practice, I had the hope that when I purchased premium I would be able to see word for word translations for the sentences the cpu was saying not just for the speaking prompt you are supposed to follow. I suppose it’s not a huge deal but I was a little disappointed. Overall I give it 4 stars because I think the app will help me improve within the next year.

BETTER THAN DUOLINGO!!!. I’m am learning Spanish and I love this app because it lets me interact with “real life situations” and get me prepared if I ever got into a situation like that, also Falou is great because it helps me with my pronunciation and corrects my errors! Unlike any other language learning app, Falou is actually fun and entertaining!! I do really enjoy playing this game! The best thing is that if you ever forget to work on practicing you language you can set a reminder at whatever time you think is best to study the language!! I hope that you download this game and learn the language you want to learn ❤️❤️ thank you for reading my review!!

Would love to give 5 stars!. This app is a perfect next step after doing a bit of duolingo to become conversationally fluent in a language. They have a wide variety of language options and the content is great at helping you grow confident as a speaker. Only problem is the app itself is very buggy, issues with the app closing randomly, certain words that are borrowed from English never seem to be detected by the system during the speaking practice, other times words that are needed to finish a sentence are never prompted. It’s very rewarding to finish a lesson with gold stars but extremely frustrating when little issues like this can prevent you from finishing a lesson.

A good App! Just a minor flaw.. I’m not going to write a huge review, but I wanna say I recently got hooked onto this app and it is very good to use, especially to help build conversational skills in your target language, add new vocabulary to your brain’s dictionary, and even audios of conversations. But, there is one thing I want to point out, and that is the audio for vocabulary words. There’s times where most of the words are pronounced but there are at least 2-3 words that don’t have audio and I don’t know how to pronounce those words. Please look into fixing this, not sure if anyone else is experiencing this but it would help myself and the other users of this app. Thank you!

Duolingo rip-off. Let’s get the obvious that away, it copies the style of Duolingo, I personally use Duolingo, and literally a baby that cannot talk can tell that they ripped off the style of Duolingo, another thing which shows that they ripped off Duolingo, the loading screen, the loading screen is basically something from a super Duolingo ad, and first thing when I got into the app, it says ask app to track, which everybody knows to not allow, next up when I was setting up my account it played this music, and there was no way to mute the music, and when I finish setting up my account, it asked me to pay 150$ per month just use the app, it did not let me skip. It did not let me just show the thing and waited for me to pay, this app is scamming people, and I don’t recommend anyone to use it just use Duolingo.

Great idea, but.... The idea behind the app is great. There are speaking exercises that mimic an interaction you may have with someone. You record your sentence/response (which is written and displayed for you) and it will then correct your pronunciation (if needed) and have you review it and try again. At the end of the exercise, you can play the whole conversation back with your responses put into the conversation, giving it a fluid feel. The downside I’ve noticed (so far) is the short list of available languages. The language I’m learning isn’t available, so I had to select something else (that I was familiar with and have studied before) to get an idea of how the app worked. I think if they had a more extensive list of languages to choose from, it’d be amazing.

Japanese Course Is Kinda Bad. I’m a little disappointed, this looked pretty promising but the Japanese course has too many issues for me to spend 30$ on it. A lot of the time the translation is wrong (although they are “rough” translations to get a better idea of the conversations, it feels a little wrong to see “konnichiwa” translated as “good afternoon, how are you doing” or the names Hiro and Keiko as “John and Kelly”, when Hiro and Keiko are just the names itself. It’s also very frustrating how many of the speaking exercises don’t pick up on what I am saying despite saying it perfectly fine, and the speaking exercises are the main point of me buying premium in the first place! Some of the romaji is incorrect as well (using yōi while the pronunciation is ii.) A little disappointed but the app as a concept sounds really cool.

So helpful. I have really enjoyed learning with this app. It helps me with feeling a bit more comfortable with conversation or at least try now. I have been learning Japanese and Spanish. I notice with Spanish it will break down word for word in each phrase which I really love that feature. I REALLY WISH it was the same for the Japanese learning to teach character by character. Many Japanese words are a bit challenging to say then you have to get the whole phrase with feel like a tongue twister. I would like to ask if can be added. I think I will be a great help for those struggling to be able to say when their native language of learning takes over how to speak. I would have give 5 stars if that was available.

Ummm. OK so when I first downloaded the app I was like oh my God yay but then I started getting lower and lower and learning more and then It asked for a premium I was like dude I’m a little kid how am I supposed to pay 💰 some of you might be thinking just ask your parents well I don’t want to ask them for money especially at that price anyway I kept looking and it was all premium so I looked for different apps and I found Duolingo it’s so amazing you don’t have to pay for anything I learned so much the only thing I have to pay for is premium and it’s really low and it only removes ads and gives you a little bit a premium but it’s not for premium most of the stuff on there is free there’s only a few things that you need premium for and that’s it I’ve been using it since and I know so much I totally recommend Duolingo thanks for reading bye.

YOU AINT DUOLINGO. I don’t know who these duolingo wannabe’s think they are. Trying to make it sound as if there “changing my life”. Babe im learning spanish sit down. Throwing ad’s in my face over and over again if i don’t give you $30 f3xk1ng dollars? Shame. You want to be duolingo yet who’s the one begging for money and giving “daily limits”. You’re putting dialy limits on education? TERRIBLE. Ban this app immediately, they will never be duolingo nor will they ever be able to keep the bank over four digits. Shame shame shame. All i wanted to do is learn yet im being bombarded by disgusting corporate antics to make me a slave to companies. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 Literally would have been the perfect app to learn languages on if a blue bird bish wasnt screaming at me for a buck every 5 seconds and some random man in his home on a f3,¥cking laptop while this is a Mobile App. Strange? Real strange mf’s behind this whole operation.

Misleading and underhanded cost. My daughter wanted to try this app, and thought the charge was too high, so as she exited out from signing up, it offered a cheaper cost for the same thing. She assumed the charge would be after a free trial, since most of these sorts of apps offer trials first before asking you to hand over a small fortune. So she signed up to try it and right after she did, the price dropped even further. So we contacted them, asking for a refund of the difference, since no free trial was offered and they had just charged $30 more than the next amount offered. Refund of difference was refused, even though we requested it within a few seconds of completing the initial transaction. I don’t appreciate being scammed like this and want my money back. We asked Apple for a refund but they said it’s rare to get a refund for an app. BAD experience all the way around!!!

Great app. This is a great app because not only it allows you to practice many diverse things but you can do it all for free now there is a payment option but really you don’t need that I am currently learning French because I’m going to be staying there for summer but just saying best app so far Duolingo has hearts so I don’t really get that because if you mess up then it takes away heart and if you mess up too many times it doesn’t let you play anywhere just stupid but I really like this app because it doesn’t do that system I like it much better than Duolingo

So bad I had to make a second review. It is horrible some of these phrases don’t make sense like 不好意思 means excuse me not sorry, that’s 对不起. How do you mess up a simple phrase. The microphone can’t pick up such simple things when you speak. And if you want to learn more than one language you got to pay a lot of money and they don’t stop pestering you to get premium. I find it odd how many five stars there are given that you got to pay to get better lessons. I’ll pick Duolingo over this because you can do as many lessons as you like ,give you don’t lose any heart which you can do lesson to gain back or use in app currency, and on top of that you can skip to harder free of charge. You can also learn as many languages as you want. On top of that all the voices are text to speech so the tone of speech aren’t accurate.

Honestly, kinda love it but seriously?. I logged on because I usually do a daily lesson, did one typing lesson and I reached the daily limit?????? 1 minute isn’t a good daily limit just for not being on the plan…. Also, I think the free pronunciation correct needs to be more accurate. I know a friend who used Falou for Spanish who now does in person lessons…. Her pronunciation was so off it took her 2 solid years to get the correct pronunciation. She went to Spain, spoke it with the wrong pronunciation, literally got kicked out of a restaurant because she wasn’t using the pronunciation of words correctly and apparently she was saying really offensive things…. Yikes. If you want to get Falou, I’m not stopping you, but I recommend not to if you don’t want to pay $20-$40-$80 dollars a year for something you could do in person that would be much better.

Russian language user. Program constantly has trouble picking up audio, regardless of device or wifi. Also having no experience with the Russian language or experience with the Cyrillic alphabet made it extremely difficult learning basic phrases that were introduced that had several sounds in single word. Some sort of basic intro to the alphabet or simpler words might help as I struggled to respond back when a few of the phrases given to me to say were long and without being able to read I struggled to memorize what to say to the app when prompted. Compiling that with the program unable to recognize I said certain words (no matter how I said them!) made this feel like an app with good intentions that needs more follow through. Perhaps this is better for other languages.

Es un buena aplicación, pero…. Hello! I love the app and I thing it’s a great way to practice pronunciation. However, there is BAREY anything you can get without premium. Without it you can only review the first lesson of a section. I understand that the developers have to make money somehow, but that is LITERALLY all you can do without paying some amount of money. It’s ridiculous. I suggest not so much making the lessons paid, but I’d be fine to put premium on other options. Just please, do something about this because I am not in a place where I can just buy premium, and other people aren’t either. Even if it’s only making 5 lessons per section free, that would be fine. But what is going on with most of the options payed is utter nonsense. I will change my review from two stars to five if this gets fixed, but until then im leaving two stars.

Loving this app so far!. I’ve tried out 3 apps before this one, including duolingo, and none of them have worked. When the video started and it said “you don’t learn other skills by studying, you learn them by practicing. So why should learning a language be different?” Something literally clicked on my brain. I agree SOOOO much. Studying can’t get you very far without practice, and this app requires you to practice to get better. I’ve literally just started using this app and it’s already amazing so far. From the way it works to the layout, it’s great. Super underrated app and if you’ve been struggling with duolingo recently, or any other apps, I’d 10/10 recommend this one!

The best app ever. I downloaded the app because this I saw on add and at the time I saw it I want to speak Japanese because my friend did and I thought it would be fun to speak the same language so I downloaded the app got it set up for me and I did not use your real name after that it was amazing it’s not me what country are you from its think I’m from Brazil but I’m Learning to Japanese a faster than I could ever learn my Spanish class is at school I couldn’t remember anything and now I’m just saying words I thought speaking another language was scary because I don’t know how to do it but now I noticed it’s not scary at all it’s fun to learn another language is that you can speak so download it now.

Meh. It’s okay. Falou tries, but it doesn’t compare to other apps like Babbel. My biggest complaint with Falou is when speaking it doesn’t recognize natural English words for English speakers learning a new language. For example, I am learning Portuguese. When studying Portuguese, with Falou, when I got to the lesson that is ordering drinks and food, it kept counting me off for how I say cheeseburger. Obviously, it wants me to match the accent however, if the word is the exact same in Portuguese and it is pronounced the same, just with an accent, I’m going to pronounce it with my English accent. So because of this, it kept counting me off, marking it wrong, and then making me constantly review it and I couldn’t move on… It’s a waste of my time. I know how to say cheeseburger, so let’s move on.

Truly believe this could have been good.. I’ll start by saying, I really like and vibe with the learning approaches within this app, they fit my brain style so well and I feel like I could actually learn. This app has the potential to be one of the best on here! Unfortunately, this app is also very obnoxious. The forced animoji videos come across very fake, forced, and made me immediately want to delete the app. They give off the feeling of a cheap app that doesn’t value its users, and I just feel like it’s a really obnoxious and poor way to try and seek money from users. Apps cost money, and devs need to be able to make something off of them, so I totally get it! This is just not the way. The videos were too much and I don’t think I can continue to use the app because of it. If they remove them entirely, I’d love to redownload!

Constant Disruptions of Learning. I decided I wanted to look for an app to supplement my usage of Duolingo, and I stumbled across this one. The reviews were great, so I decided to give it a shot. I spent 4/5ths of my time watching their constant self-promotion of both their premium service and their basic app functions. The interruptions during the actual lessons for app-usage tutorials was beyond irritating, and with how many self-promo videos they had in between the lessons, I may as well have been playing one of those low-effort mobile games that gives you an ad after each 10-second level. The fact they gave me a full-screen advertisement for their Premium service before I’d even had a single lesson or even got to see their home menu should’ve been my sign to ditch this app, but I decided to give these people the benefit of the doubt. Stupid decision on my part.

I’m surprisingly in love with this app. I recently downloaded this app with pretty low expectations. I have tried many different apps before this one and have always been disappointed. They were always very boring and a little mind draining or dumped way to much on you at once. I am trying to learn Italian to connect with some family because we have a language barrier. But I never learn a single word with any other app. But using this app is pretty easy and actually pretty fun. I’ve learned twice as much twice as fast and I’m enjoying doing so. 10/10 would recommend.

Would have five if not for one annoying thing. Why do the courses have words that are outside the language? Like I’m not taking Portuguese to learn how to say cheeseburger the wrong way? I get all of the words pronounced perfectly until they throw an American english word my way like cheeseburger? Sorry I can’t read words in a fake brazilian accent? I even tried, but I just can’t unlearn my american accent if you ask me to read an english word. Even if I could isn’t that pretty useless? And maybe even kind of offensive to Brazilians? You couldn’t have used a Brazilian food like feijoada for this exercise? You wouldn’t ask a Brazilian person to say feijoada with an American accent and they wouldn’t be able to do it. Please fix this thanks.

Thank you Falou. I’ve been practicing with this app for a couple of days and I could feel a huge improvement in my pronunciation. I like because it teaches you in a good pace, the sentences are easy to remember and the fact that you are learning in real life situations is the winning fator for me. I travel a lot so it also comes in handy to have other languages to learn in the app. I use it primarily for Spanish but I’ve been experimenting with Korean because I have plans to travel to Korea next year. I didn’t know anything in Korean but now I can already introduce myself and ask for food. It will be interesting to see what I can learn with it until next year. Gonna keep practicing! 18 days streak and counting! 🔥👏😋

Very helpful! 😀. This app is the best! It helps you learn at any pace, it is very patient and understanding. I love this app so much! The lessons are so quick and easy but you learn so much in those lessons. It is definitely worth your time! I highly recommend you to download this app. I have had zero problems out of this app, and I have been using it for about two maybe three or four months. When the app sends you notifications, it does not constantly bug you. The notifications are very sweet, short and simple and they actually motivate you to get on the app and complete your lesson. I hope this review helped you and I can’t wait for you to start using Falou!

Best language learning app. Falou is a great learning app. Basically, at one point of doing the free version, it will offer you half off on a subscription which is a really good deal. The Subscription allows you to listen to nice podcasts and also gives you an vocabulary section where you can learn vocabulary from a category of your choice. You can learn about Food, animal names, etc. and what’s good is the vocabulary lessons don’t get harder the more you do them so you can share the account with someone else without it being confusing to do vocabulary. Instead, they just have multiple lessons about one subject. Also, this app has a lot of languages to learn

It’s great and all but……. I think this app is great in learning a language. You’re learning the language through conversation and focus on familiarity with the words. But after every lesson, do you really have to beg for me to join your premium prescription? That’s what I notice about all language apps is that they have to make it obvious they want your money more than anything else. I JUST got this app, I don’t want premium. Maybe I’ll decide later, but I think it’s ridiculous to make a whole video in your app having the audacity to say “if you don’t have a card ask someone else”. To me, that’s honestly disrespectful. Why would I want someone else to pay a prescription for me. I’m not out here to use people for money lol.

Continual pop ups to subscribe. It continually pops up asking you to subscribe, if you accidentally hit the button, you’ll have a lot of work to do to undo it. I felt like I was walking on eggshells just trying to see what the app is like without accidentally subscribing. Then, it forces you to do the spoken lessons which at least on duolingo you can turn off. I thought perhaps this could be used without that, but apparently not. Pronunciation isn’t what I need to work on and there are situations when you can’t speak. Also, it forces you to create a login. I usually close and delete apps right there, but there was a choice to change your name and hide your email, so I tried that. After these three strikes, I didn’t even get to try out the app—it’s too hard to get past the set up, and with the continual pop ups to get you to subscribe, it’s not worth bothering

Safá salloum. Amazing application really i love it you can learn easily and also correct your spelling interesting and educational app i will learn many languages soon it really makes you interested to try different languages corrects your spelling and its like making conversation also hearing yourself talking in other language make you say to yourself it’s me looks great 😊 hope everyone wants to learn specially who travel a lot keep this app in your phone it’s gonna help you a lot wherever you are maybe i will be talking 7 languages soon thank you for helping me and hope i helped others to learn from this app

Daily Limit and Extreme Price. I was very happy with the lay-out of this app, it was really helping me with my continuation of German after leaving Duolingo. Even to the point where just earlier today I recommended it to my friend who wanted to learn Italian. I cannot afford the premium price even at just $30 instead of $150, which is crazy for an app. And I was content with just the basic free version till it came up to me with a Daily Limit. I understand that this limit is to help me want to pay the absurd $150. But instead it’s driving me away from the app. I just want to feel encouraged to learn a language that I’ll need for my exchange year next year and be able to have fun with it. So I guess I’ll have to keep looking for another app. Auf Wiedersehen Falou.

Too many aggressive ads to subscribe. Couldn’t even get to the lesson without getting hit with all the ads to subscribe. I get that’s the end goal and I have no problem paying for something I think might work, but dang let us try a few lessons before spamming the premium subscription. It got so annoying clicking no (also the tactic is a bit messed up. First ad says membership is $149, if you say no it goes down in price to $65, and say no again enough times another discount is tacked on. Seems like those that say yes on the first go are getting penalized for some reason). Anyways managed to try one lesson, liked the concept but again the aggressive push for premium to the point it distracted from whatever the app was trying to sell me had me uninstalling after 5min. Just let the lessons speak for themselves.

This app is (insert pop-up for subscription). My friend loves this app. We’ve both had a fair amount of language training, and she tells me that this app is absolutely worth the cost to stay on top of my language. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to decide for myself because the stupid app immediately tries to force you into a subscription before you can even learn what it’s all about. I downloaded it with every intention of trying it out and then paying for a subscription, but it didn’t even offer me a trial. It seems like every time I try to click on something to see what it does, I receive a “last chance offer” for a subscription. I have no idea if this app is any good or not because I can’t use it more than 5 minutes without wanting to punch a baby in the face.

Really bad first impressions. It’s way too hard to get a grasp on the content/usefulness of the app given how many long - apparently unskippable - videos you have to sit through. The videos themselves contain some info about the actual contents of the app, but mostly are just jammed with high-pressure marketing speech. I managed to get caught in a loop between a purchasing screen and a video that kept trying to teach me how to make purchases on my device (which sort of left me wondering if the company is targeting older customers or young children,) and the whole thing really killed my enthusiasm to explore the product further. Overall, I can’t say how good a tool Falou might be (it seems like it might actually be alright!) but the experience for me as a new user was really off-putting, like pushing that initial purchase is way more important for the developers than actually providing a valuable product.

Underrated!!!. This app is simply beautiful. The content may be simple at times for more advanced or intermediate speakers but it can still be great for practice. This app is a great complement to Duolingo for speaking sentences and listening practice. I hope they fix the SRS system soon! Currently the app places the previously reviewed sentences in the SRS reviewer, however, I would love if the user could review the previously seen vocabulary words from the separate vocabulary sections in the SRS review tool. Would be more efficient in my opinion. Give this app a try. The design is gorgeous and the topics are interesting and fun. If the SRS system used single vocabulary words this would be the perfect app!!!!!

Great for interleaving your learning. Falou has a little bit of everything but best of all, it has a listen and respond set up as a primary tool. This is very powerful for recall to build stronger learning comprehension and something many other apps are lacking or catching up on. It is pretty much free so far that I can tell (you can hit the ‘X’ button when it offers for you to subscribe). It is very well designed with a flashy and fun user interface that makes it fun and engaging and looking forward to the next lesson every time. The cute mascot is a plus as well. I hope the developers keep going strong because this is a beautiful gift to the world of linguistics.

Hindi language - great! Japanese - not so much. I like that this is a different approach from duolingo and Memrise, but I have some improvement suggestions. 1. An overall progress status. Duo has levels, Memrise has flowers to show how many times it’s taken you to improve a word or phrase; this app doesn’t have anything like it, so I feel completely accomplished when I see the three stars after a practice, and tend to not visit them after that. So something that shows the progress elsewhere, showing how good (35% - 50% - 100%) you’re doing with words or phrases on their own would be awesome. 2. Japanese. The speech is just too… TOO slow. No one speaks that slow in Japan and no other app tends to speak this slow. I’m often caught saying out with it! Any way to make speech faster?

The best. This is a five star review because the only does it teach you how to say it but it also teaches you how to write your language so if you’re ever stuck he will also have you see your sentence and then you can write it The thing I love about this app is that it never will waste your time maybe if you like that be in to a different language that you want to learn but I think it will never waste your time because it helps you learn in a good way not a boring way so if you like this app and you want to learn a language then get it I promise you will love it and you will keep it I’ve only done it for five minutes and I’m in love

Love it. This app is so amazing I can speak French faster and easy, I didn’t know French until now, this app helped me so much, it’s easy to learn, because they tell you how to say it if you click on the word, now if I go to France I can speak to people there without a problem, get this app now if you want to learn your dream language, have a great say, and make sure to get this app if you see this and make sure to learn your dream language, like me speaking French was my dream, but now I can learn how to speak it I knew 2 languages now I know 3 make sure to learn languages you want to learn, have a great day!!

I 100% Recommended 😇. First review EVER and here’s a reason why you should download. The app is made so you can learn and I’m looking forward to speaking and knowing what Japanese people say when I go one day and so I can have simple conversations. This app is amazing!! I downloaded Duolingo thinking it would help me, It did not. I wanted to learn how to speak in Japanese and Korean but doulingo didn’t help me at all. I felt like I would put random sentences together when I didn’t need to do that. Doulingo would put sentences like “I like milk you like water” and who would say that randomly 😂 This app works if your new to languages and is a slow learner like me. 😇 and don’t worry, the languages are correct 😂

Sooo many ads. After 3 lessons I have seen 18 ads. After each short lesson there are 1-2 30 second adds. I can safely say I have spent more time watching ads then I have learning. The price for premium with out their “deal” is $150 with the deal after the second time the offer it is $30. Not a horrible price but when you don’t have the money, you don’t have the money and the ads drive you away from the free version and therefore away from potential purchase down the road. Is it helpful for pronunciation, yes. Is it helpful for actually mastering a language, the jury is still out but leaning towards no. I would recommend coupling this with an additional language app or course. I also warn that the ads may drive you to insanity.
