Get the Gist from Books on your List. See what I did there? Huh? Seriously, the app allows me to hear ideas from many books I have wanted to read and just don’t have the time. There are badges, tracking and all the good things to help you accomplish your goals. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because there doesn’t seem to be a way to change the narrators voice. I looked online but couldn’t find anything. The voice is connected to the text. Sometimes there is a male other times a female. I do not like the male voice. It is harsh and I would like the option to toggle to another choice. Some apps have several voices to read a text and even celebrities. This is not a cheap application and there should be some other options. When I was looking for voice changes online, I read that the book summaries of this app might not be as good as other apps. I’m not sure because I haven’t tried anything else. Otherwise, I like it.

Excellent quality summaries. Clear, concise, digestible book summaries that capture highlights of the greater book. Awesome app that is designed well and super easy to use. Like that there is new content or new recommended content daily. One suggestion I would offer is improved toggling between the rotation of books under the “Discover” heading. When you read the quote and click into the corresponding book and finish reading some or all of the book, you are not sent back to the Discover list where you left off. You have to click the list again and the books are randomly re-ordered every time, meaning I have to go through books already viewed. I’d like to be able to pick up where I left off in the Discover list and for the list to stay in the same order. Also recommend expanding the search features to pick up on key phrases in the books. Sometimes I want to look for a category of book that isn’t listed in the set category list. Also, please add more fiction books!

Want meaningful and lasting change to a better life?. Devoting as little as 15 minutes of your day to learning to know oneself, trying things differently, and applying tried and true concepts into your life will bring about a new and improved person that not only benefits you and everyone around you but the world as a whole. The rest of the day is as simple as implementing and refining your new ideas and knowledge. Easy right? Yes it is, as long as you’re serious about wanting real change, not quitting when things get challenging or don’t show instant results and you have a desire for tangible success. But only after striving to make your dreams become reality by putting in a little work. And the best part, Headway let’s you identify what areas you may need improvement in or what you yourself want to focus on and the giving you all the tools you need to make it happen in their clear, concise and informative material. (Perfect people, there’s something for you as well!)

Great App. I am an old school need an open book, keep your cliff notes kind of girl. That being said this app is phenomenal! As times change as hard as it is to accept the hard way doesn’t have to be the only way. This app has inspired me to see from a different perspective. Being an old school girl I took pride in the struggle even though it was crippling me and imprisoned me by my own pseudo sort of “mastery by the stripes endured” philosophy. I won’t say that there is no benefit in doing the necessary but there sure is no glory in not bringing anything to fruition due to time constraints. I now am shifting my reasoning because of this app and the gems contained in them. It is no a cure all but it is sure help for those struggling as it’s benefits are immediate if the wisdom contained in it is immediately applied. Thank you for creating in a world that is run by old people who don’t embrace change.

IN LOVE. I’m not going to lie, the first time I downloaded the app; I immediately deleted it. I didn’t understand the concept of the app and neither the value of it. But I knew I wanted to read daily even if it was for a few minutes. So a week passed after I deleted the app and my urge to read grew. So I’m like let me try this app once more with the free trial this time. And believe me when I say this - I fell in love! This is the best decision I’ve done. It’s so convenient in time and portable. I can just click the app and choose any book I want to read within a time period that I selected earlier on. That’s also something you can change. If you’re someone who is busy or doesn’t put enough time in reading but wants to just like me — you can set your goal time. It will customize and recommend books based of your goal setting. It’s absolutely beautiful. By doing this I’m able to read in between work hours and get the summary done within 10 minutes! It’s literally a whole book summarized. So convenient, easy, quick BUT informative. I look forward in reading a new summary each day. I learn a bit more each day. Since I was able to keep that streak in reading something each day - even if i didn’t finish the summary - I decided to purchase and did the one year subscription! This way I’m able to have more selections in reading and not be limited to one daily book. I love it! I’m so grateful and blessed for this app!!

Just One (Important) Critique!. Let me open by saying that in just a few days of downloading and using this app, I am recommitted to my own success! I have recommended it to three of my closest friends and my sister already, too - specifically people I know who value and prioritize their own skills and brands, and whom I believe can build their own businesses with just a little more direction. To make the most of this app, one definitely has to be able to make start commitments and build on that foundation (because that’s the key to realized success in any field). I am so very grateful to the folks at Headway who have made these books and knowledge so accessible to me today! One very important note that I have for you is to PLEASE INVEST in better, more real-sounding, and genuine voices for listening! I prefer to listen while I’m eating or doing other tasks, but the voice used sounds exactly like that guy from Bob’s Burgers who voices the Pick-up Artist character and it makes me cringe. I can overlook this aspect only because I am so eager for the knowledge and information being relayed but some of your consumers may not feel the same. This voice can make one feel like they’re being pandered to at worst, and at best it’s distracting from the content.

Love love love the concept, narrators need some updating. I am absolutely obsessed with the idea behind this app. I couldn’t ask for something more up my alley. The UI of the app is clean and easy to use and there is so much potential here. However, the narrators of the summaries are almost certainly computer generated. The voicing is very robotic and monotonous and it makes absorbing the information very difficult. The summaries themselves are just ok. I think they can do a bit better to capture the voice of the writer and not just regurgitate general sparknotes. There is definitely a middle ground where the fluff of the book is taken out but the key concepts and examples are preserved. There is too much of a focus on quantity and there needs to be more on quality. Maybe an option where users can choose how much of a summary they’d like of the book between a short bullet point style like they have now and a longer form, more absorbable format. I have seen others with similar feedback. Hopefully this gets addressed and I would gladly return as a paying customer!

Quick little boosts of positive info. I’ve been enjoying these quick 10 minutes (or so) amounts of time throughout my day when I’m feeling like I can use some positive uplifting help. Everyone can use positive feedback throughout the day that can help guide you in the right direction, or help to get you through a tough situation that you know is going to be happening. Or maybe you just want to explore some healthy factual readings that are available on the Headway app. Maybe you can even pass the information onto to someone else who can benefit from some positive words of encouragement or who wants to learn about something to better their life the way we’ve been bettering our lives. Because that is what will happen if you take the time to explore this app. There’s only one way to go and that’s in a positive direction because there is so much to be learned on here. I’m relatively new to this app and have a long way to go but I’m definitely looking forward to seeing where all this great information will lead me in my near future. I hope you take the time to explore things on Headway, you’ll be happy you did.

Covers a lot in a short time. I paid for Headway some time ago but never got around to really check it out. I am a good listener, but when it comes to reading a book, I get distracted, I stop and lose my way in the book until I eventually lose the whole essence of the story. One morning while being alone with my thoughts, I decided to catch up on my literature, so I browsed their library until I found an interesting topic to read. Found out, I could actually just listened. I decided to listen, Wow! The book was so precise, exciting, informative and quick about 15mins. I was truly amazed as to how they summarized the book with all the important points, I received the whole message right away. At the end of the book they even had pointers to remember, so you can further meditate on essence of what you just read or listened. I loved it, I read three books just before I write this review, I think I am about to listen another after writing this review, it is that good. If you have an interest in reading and learning new things or you just like to listen like myself you need to have this app. You will not regret it. Thanks Headway for create this wonderful app.

Nice concept and need some improvements in app to perfect. I like how this app gamifies reading and make reading more fun and enjoyable. This is a value add on top of the book summary which is what you’re really paying for. Not free and I think it’s worth it assuming there will be more books in the future. Having said that. The app still needs some work and refinement. 1) App crashes occasionally. 2) App doesn’t resume where you previously stopped. Having to start from the beginning of the chapter is quite annoying. 3) Listening stops at every chapter. The whole book is already short. I would like to listen the whole book in 15-20mins without keep hitting play again. The app doesn’t need to stop at the end of every chapter. 4) If you open or listen a few lines just for exploring, the book stays at the bottom of you Discovery tab. I’m nitpicking here but I really need a way to remove it. 5) In reading mode, the bottom of the page is cut off on 13 pro max screen. Some fine tuning on layout is needed. 6) App should allow user option to pick pay plan rather than defaulting to annual.

Ahead of its time!. I am truly grateful and blessed to have downloaded this app after seeing it countless times on Instagram. I am someone who strives for greatness and success, but have difficulties trying to get there like many others. I am not a fast reader and out of millions of books I don’t know what Content is more suitable for my lifestyle and goals. I want to build my intelligence, my confidence and overall become the best version of myself. There are even some books I have started in the past, but never finished. After two days of having this app Headway. I was able to go through seven different summaries including the books, I’ve never finished and I understand every single one at a high listening speed. I am applying what I have learned so far and it has changed my life and only two days. I am now making improvements on my own life in the gym for my physical work out and at home when I sleep. I’ve been introduced to so much knowledge I would have never known about otherwise. This app is truly ahead of its time. I feel as if I’m downloading information straight into my brain. My goals and future has become much more within reach. I will take full advantage of this application and I’m so happy I invested in my future! -Chris Scott

Great idea, annoying execution. Upon seeing this app, I thought it had a great idea, bite sized bits of information to learn and better yourself. The idea of the app is great, however, they force their subscription so many times the app is almost unusable for a free user. There’s a delicate balance between offering a subscription, and forcing it. This app has crossed the line 100 miles back on forcing it. If you’re a free user, you can only read/hear about 2 out of the 10 books it recommends you per day. If you click on one that you have to be part of the subscription to use? Instant popup for the subscription. Click another one that you didn’t know counted as a premium book? Instant popup. It’s popup central for their subscription service. Too limited use for free members and a constant burden of popups makes for a very infuriating experience. Great idea for the app, but dear lord dial down on forcing the membership. I should be buying the membership because I want it, not because you showed it to me well over 1000x.

Literally life changing.. I start my day with this app and I love it. I wish there was a way to jump right back into the challenge you were working on, but it’s not that big a hassle to just scroll and find it again. But the summaries are great. I love that I can read them, listen, or read and listen. It would have taken me months, maybe years, to get to all the books I’ve been hoping to read. With headway, in 3 days I’ve consumed the major takeaways from 3 massively influential books, and the insights have, no joke, changed my life. So, I guess that makes Headway… life changing? I’ll stand by it. P.s— to headway team: Please keep working on your beautiful interface to be even more intuitive and user friendly. Not that it isn’t great already, I’m just a dreamer of perfectly accessible apps that anticipate everything lol. 5 stars are still yours.

LIFE CHANGING. I was referred to this app by my mentor and it is now my daily go too I never was a fan of reading long drawn out books because for some reason my brain wouldn’t retain the information after the first chapter I’ve read. To find an app that would summarize a books key points give key tips and read it aloud was like finding GOLD for me headway has drastically changed my life I was seeking to know a lot more than what I already knew clarity on this I was unsure of I sought to better myself and to find my purpose here in life and headway not only helped me with these answers I was seeking but they’ve helped me to be the better person I knew I could be. When I’m in distress I no longer feel the need to reach anywhere for anything else but to headway because 90% of the time there’s a book I can listen to that will speak directly to what I’m going through which sets me right back on track. I would recommend this app to the world if I could because of it s life changing effects Big Thanks to the developers!

A Reading App That’s Not For Readers. I wanted to like this app. I love the concept of it, getting right down to the main concept of a book without all the extra fluff. But here’s the problem, the fluff is what makes a book unique and useful. That’s the stuff that resonates with someone that causes the light bulb to turn on in their head, which in turn causes changes in their lives. I can look at someone who wants to grow their business and say “You have to put in the work” and then walk away. Is this going to help them? Most likely not. But that’s what this app is doing. Stripping down books until they are basic clichés such as “Stop eating junk food”. Well no shut Sherlock. I think the reason that so many people are liking this app is that they probably aren’t readers. So giving 15 minutes to a book makes them feel good. That’s great, but you could do the same with an audio book and get so much more out of it. This isn’t a video game. You’re not leveling up with each synopsis you listen to. The point of these books is to better your life. Are you actually making changes or are you just wearing your “Listened to 38 books this month!” badge like a mask for you to hide behind so you don’t actually have to do anything? Something to think about.

*Scam Alert! Beware! *. I saw this app being sponsored, and after looking into it, decided to try the “free” trial. Well, apparently there’s no such thing. I got charged immediately without my knowing. Within 2 days of trying it out, I realized I didn’t like the format because it wasn’t what I was expecting. I went into the app, hit “unsubscribe,” and deleted the app. I thought this was all set. Until I received my credit card statement with a charge for the app on it. I was charged as soon as I downloaded the app. Not after the free trial. So apparently, hitting unsubscribe wasn’t good enough. I was apparently expected to contact apple for a refund. But didn’t realize I got charged until I got my statement in the mail, and now I’m outside of the cancellation period. The funniest part is, if I go back into the app, and hit “resubscribe,” I’m being notified that I’ll get charged. So I basically made a $64 donation to this app when I downloaded it. This is all infuriating, and super scammy. I’ve never had any issues with apps before, nor have I ever written a review, but after being on the phone with customer service for over an hour and being told there’s nothing they can do, I can’t help but want to warn everyone that this is how this app is operating. Shameful! Oh, and I was informed that if I contact my credit card to reverse charge, I could potentially lose my apple account. WOW!

Best Book app ever!. This App is amazing! Great books, great content. I love reading but I don’t read very long and long books normally make me quit them. But this short book that you can read in 16-20 minutes is perfect! Suggestions: 1. I will like to see a check Mark next to a book I read. Right now if you wanna check you have to go the library and check if you read it. This feature is common sense and is missing. 2. Customize feature that allows you to choose a book journey route: meaning you can choose all the books you want to read next and have them set up like the challenges are set up now but with each book set up from first to last in a creative way. 3. The ability to review each mini book once you’re done. And to show each books reviews easy.

Start making headway. I've been using the Headway app for about a month now, and I'm really impressed with it. It's a great way to learn new things and improve your skills. The app is really easy to use. You can choose from a variety of topics, and each topic has a series of lessons. The lessons are short and easy to understand, and they're broken down into small steps. This makes it easy to learn new things without feeling overwhelmed. I also like that the app tracks your progress. You can see how far you've come and how much you've learned. This is really motivating, and it helps you stay on track. Overall, I'm really happy with the Headway app. It's a great way to learn new things and improve your skills. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about a variety of topics. Here are some specific things I like about the Headway app: The app is easy to use and navigate. The lessons are short and easy to understand. The app tracks your progress, which is motivating. The app offers a variety of topics to choose from. The app is affordable. If you're looking for a way to learn new things and improve your skills, I highly recommend the Headway app.

Fantastic concept with room to grow. I listen to a lot of audio/audible books in various for of strategic self and business development. The problem I have is that sometimes books drag on. What could be said in a half a book can be condensed to a chapter. I love that this app provides a way for me to listen to the main idea(summary) of the book in a condensed manner. If the summary doesn’t feel like enough, or if I just really want to hear more about it, then I know it’s worth getting the full book on Audible or possibly hard book. I rated 4 instead of 5 stars because not all the books are read by a person. Instead, it’s a robotic like voice that’s an absolute pain to digest. I find myself distracted from the books content because the delivery of the message is just botched. I read from other reviews that they are working on changing them all over so I think with time, this app will get better and better. I’m more than satisfied with the year price I paid and plan on using it often. I hope that in the meantime while they work on getting these robotic voices replaced, they provide a filter for their selection so I can exclude those from playlists.

Good idea but could use improvements. After what felt like hundreds of instagram ads calling out my doom scrolling I finally caved and paid the $8 for a 1 month trial. I've checked out most of the app now and here are my initial thoughts: The first thing I noticed and was slightly disappointed by was that the apps core offering revolves around written/narrated book summaries, which honestly is not gonna replace any sort of visually stimulating feed. It's also pretty disappointing that there isn't any kind of free trial. If I had known this app was basically a book summary app, I prob wouldn't have paid. Marketing claims were a tiny bit misleading imo. One redeeming quality though is that this app does have about 5 book summaries that are structured like instagram stories, with a small animated graphic to go with each post. This feature is awesome. If every book summary was done this way, I would 100% become a recurring subscriber. Unfortunately though this product is still severely lacking in visual stimulating content. Which I understand is hard if they have an internal team creating all of this, but it unfortunately won't be be able to compete against instagram for my attention if I'm being honest. If the content becomes better this app would be a gold mine. Hopefully they can use AI to take their existing summaries and turn them into their story summaries quickly lol.

Headway is a stepping stone. I always wanted to build a habit of reading books. However, I always procrastinated on buying books and reading them. Thanks to Instagram ads, I got to know about headway. I bought the lifetime subscription and I’m loving it. It’s totally worth it. I’ve been able to learn a lot of things that I would otherwise not learn in my life. For example, today, I just learned how to deal with procrastination through the book about procrastination in the app. Also, I am inspired in taking action through the book I listened yesterday called, stealing like an artist. There are tons of books that I always wanted to read, and now I have access to all of them through Headway. Also one more need to mention is headway helps. To find where our personality lies, and helps build our personality from there. For example, I lack confidence on going to public gathering. Headway suggested me book called how to talk to anyone. Now I have more confidence and I know the techniques of how to approach people. Thanks to headway that I didn’t have the entire book to learn that. I learned it in 20 minutes. The headway subscription is totally worth it.

Misleading marketing. Funny story, I’ve clicked on their instagram ads MULTIPLE times before realizing that those ads are completely false. They have many different ones with information on various measures of personality types and there’s a little rectangle that says “Take Test” at the bottom so you assume there’s going to be a quiz. So I (re)download the app and then… There are no quizzes or even suggested lists for the categories they advertised. It’s just another app that summarizes books. But without the personalized suggestions they promised. Do those appear somewhere after I pay them money? So despite being literally duped many times, the app itself looks pretty nice. It has broad categories for types of books if you want to browse but I think there’s a cap on how much you can read/listen to if you don’t pay the subscription. If I were to use the app, I’d like to see a “mark as read” function for books that I’ve actually already read or maybe a way to request books. For me it was an easy way to see what books are popular but other than that it doesn’t really have any use for me. Especially since it’s not what I thought I was getting based on their own ads.

A Great App with a Little Room for Improvement. I really enjoy this app and the ability to digest key ideas from books in a fraction of the time. I especially love the ability to read to listen to a book I’m interested to see if I would like to purchase it. I love to read and learn, but as with most people, time is a limited commodity. I love the variety of options and do hope it keeps expanding, particularly in the science and history genres. Thanks so much! Some things I would like to see: - I would love different and more engaging narrators. Some books seem like an AI generated or robotic voice. I completely understand that there are so many books on here, so am all for them using resources at their disposal. Sometimes it just drones on or can even be distracting, though. - When reading, there are multiple grammatical errors or incomplete sentences. It gets distracting at times. - I would love to see an option to highlight or “add to notes.” I love the “remember” concept, but would love to pick out things that stick out to me specifically. - I wish there was a way to add favorites. I go through at least one book a day and rate the ones I enjoy, but I realized I can’t go back and see which ones those were. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize this until I was a week in, but I do take notes when I can. - This last one may not fit here, but it would be very cool if Headway partnered with any magazines like NatGeo or Time. Awesome app! Thank you!!

Extremely helpful and highly recommend!!. I’m going to be honest and say something to show how this helped me. I got extremely depressed and I lost so much motivation for the things that I love; my career, health, marriage… I have been needing motivation to get my mind going. I slowly started making changes to my life, started doing self healing, therapy and I started doing better. I eventually stumbled upon this app, I tried it out because the short reads are my thing and I can’t get so easily distracted by my ADHD. I easily fell in love with the app and it’s been helping me out SOOO much with my life. I’ve been needing this boost in my life where I get to read stories that motivate me way more, question how I think, make smarter choices. I’ve been more confident in the way my mind currently is and I hope this will help someone try this app out. It helped me and I hope it helps you

Pointless. Not for me, and not really sure who the audience is. The app starts by recommending consuming 38 “books” a month. Seems like an arbitrary goal of summaries, and makes you wonder how much detail you will retain at such a pace. But as a prolific reader, I thought that reading the salient points of a handful of books could help me narrow down what I would like to focus on and read the full length version of. Unfortunately, I never found anything of value during my trial. The majority of selections in my recommendations I’ve already read and were very dated. The ones that I wasn’t familiar with, I had no idea why they were being recommended to me as they didn’t fit my survey results. How many books do I need summarized about being productive in the morning? The library trends predominantly to self help books. Summaries must come from AI because they vary in quality from book to book. I read a couple summaries from books that I was familiar with and I didn’t feel they managed to identify the key takeaways. If you are one of the 5 people who never read Rich Dad Poor Dad or Freakenomics, maybe you will get value out of it. But if you had any interest in the topic, chances are you’ve read them in the past 20 years without the aid of a summarization.

Absolutely the best $ I’ve spent on myself other than Lasik. I love this app, and these books. I often intend to read but just get overwhelmed with life and managing time - this is the perfect bite size rendition of the key points of a book, which then inform me which ones I want to go deeper into and inspires/motivates me to actually read. I would recommend this to anyone who intends to read more and is interested. Like my personal trainer says; the best greens for your health are the ones you EAT! And this is perfect for my curious mind and on the go life. The only compliant is that I really do not like the voice of the female narrator and think they should find a replacement which as soothing and neutral as the male voice. As a female myself I find it kind of disappointing. She has A TERRIBLE voice and absolutely affects the experience of the books and overshadows the quality!!!

Perfect App!. I never write reviews but this app deserves one! I was kind of skeptical at first because I was introduced to this app through an Instagram Ad. I was kind of bummed to see that it was just summaries of books and not the whole book. After reading the books suggested to me for the past couple of days I feel in love with this app! The recommendations are perfectly tailored to what I wanted to keep track on! And the summaries are super helpful and informational even thought they’re 7-9 pages long. I’ve also discovered books that i’d love to buy as well as read books that I’ve been deciding on buying but then didn’t find as useful or what I really wanted. I can’t get over how much I love this app at this point! Just with the summarizes i’ve read in 3 days (I’ve only had it for 3 days) I feel like I have taken in so much useful information that I think about all day! It’s absolutely worth the time and money!

This is a great way to get knowledge from books if u dont have time to read. I think this is a great app I posted about it on my face book heres a copy of that post i believe this app could change a lot of peoples lives, so if you struggle with reading books, don't have the time to read whole books, or are trying to findout if you would like a book. This app puts key concepts, major points and summaries into a 15 minute read with the option to read or listen to an audio book. The app focuses on helping u set goals towards reading books that are about bettering yourself with topics anywhere from self help, and spirituality to Business help and productivity help as well as many more topics. i just got it, and it is probably the smartest decision I have made in a minute. im willing to bet this app will be a big contributing factor to my success, so i thought i would share this app with as many people as possible. i will say its a 12 dollar a month subscription but that money spent is well worth it if u get improve yourself at least in my eyes... so anyway the link is in the comments

Good concept, poor execution. I saw Facebook ads for Headway in the form of these 28 Day Challenges and I was very intrigued. I’m always down for a good challenge, especially one in the self growth department. I downloaded the app and was all excited that it was going to create my OWN personalized challenge tailored to my interests. Wow! Well, when you make it to the home page, your personal plan vanishes. Gone, never to be seen or accessed again. That was very disappointing but I was still willing to give it a try. The audio recordings are awful. I’m a VO artist and I actually wondered if these summaries were recorded by humans. The cadence is off, it sounds hollow, there are no gaps between sentences. I could barely comprehend. And before I could cancel (because I wanted to see if all the recordings were that bad or just a few) I get charged $80 for 6 months. Not worth the money and I haven’t used it in months. Like I said, excellent concept, but the technical execution (the vanishing of your plan and the audio recordings) leaves much to be improved.

Perfect for an Attention Strapped Beginner. Headway was the best app I may have downloaded from an Instagram ad. I have long wanted to read more about entrepreneurship, leadership, and other areas of what I like to call ‘life development,’ but I always found the excuse for not having the time because of the demand of my career (mixed with my superhuman procrastination skills). But after a recent pivot to full time entrepreneurship, I’ve found the time to read but just find biz + entrepreneurship books that I’d been recommended to be a bit aggressive. With Headway, I’ve been able to digest some of the more complex topics in ways that are easily actionable. I tend to grasp more knowledge from reading before hearing, but the ability to switch between both depending on my task at hand is truly incredible. I look forward to more titles being available here and learning more of Headway’s functionality.

Latest App you Need to Tweak any part of your life!. This has to be the best app I’ve downloaded in a long time. I’m constantly finding ways to absorb new information. I have books on top of books that I get through about 1-2 chapters a week. Although it’s progress. It doesn’t get straight to the concepts I’m looking for. Since I’ve read a ton of books already I have a general idea of what exactly I’m looking for. This app has saved me tons and tons of research and time. Repetition is the key to mastery. The second problem I have is integrating new concepts into my life. Taking notes can lead to lots of time lost. Instead I find all the books I’ve already read and add them to my library so I can study them frequently so it truly becomes part of my life. It’s like going to the gym with your lifting partner for one week then you stopping and expecting to have the same excitement, push, and motivation to make lifting a new habit. Headway is my lifting partner for my mind.

Top scores from this “critic”. I am a late bloomer when it comes to the enjoyment of reading and I feel as though I am now “catching” up on all the knowledge I missed out on all these years I have gone without. I began reading books regularly last year and did that through last week. Then, somehow I crossed paths with an ad for this app. Thought,”Heck, I will give it a try”. Read a few of the free books and decided maybe it would be worth purchasing. This week I have “read” 4 books. Usually it would take me months to have done that (busy mother of 4, homeschooling, starting my own business, life…etc.). This isn’t going to replace reading for me, but it is going to be a lovely addition. I would much rather take 5-10 to read a book summary than scroll Instagram when I have that time available.

Life’s important lessons and knowledge put simply. I have been in therapy almost my entire life from age 13…. I am 63. Though many therapists are “ good people “ with good intentions they’re not always the complete solution. I’ve only listened to two of these “ lessons” and already know I need to hear this and it’s done in such a way that I don’t lose interest. I get overwhelmed easily but this process makes points very directly and with kindness and what they’re saying is true… we grow up in a society that teaches us a value system and mostly that is their value system… we aren’t told we have choices. We aren’t encouraged to take risks. I was bullied, sexually abused, and fell into the hands of “ bad people “ and I’ve lived in fear ( deep down inside) for close to 40 years. I have had some successful experiences and have grown a bit but these little lessons are just what I needed to hear at this time in my life. I highly recommend reading these books. I’m going to continue till I’ve listened to them all!!

Just truly grateful and amazed.. Lol who knew how hard trading can go in your life 🖤🖤 I’m amazed that i found writers that have written books that confirm thoughts about elevation that i never knew to actually be like law in the universe. i thought i was the only one which made me self conscious all the time. Whoever made this app in the way they made it was genius and i’m so grateful. It would probably of took a few more years to be able to read these books because i just didn’t have a way to do it or a way to figure out how to read these much needed books. i’m so grateful to the creators of this app. and that it found its way me. not to sound corny but i’m grateful for the chance to read these books and then it helps you with time management; its just out of this world. may they continue to bless the world with their ideas 🖤🖤🖤

This best things in life are free. Gathering of information takes time. To customize a person’s lesson plan requires input from the consumer yet this person does not get compensated for their input which further refines and perfects your product. You may want to reconsider your pricing and timeline tactics. The most inspiring intro advice should not be exploited with an obligation to purchase the rest of the advice I’d recommend an overview of what your product is and how it has improved over time with additional subscribers before asking for a credit card number. Give credit where credit is due and that is the interaction between your customers and your product. Your own testimonial for your product leaves the door open for future customers to see value in what you provide instead of profiting off of Wisdom you can get at any church for free. There is a reason that the church greeters don’t hold the offertory plate when you enter a holy place. I’m all about making money because we all have bills. You wanted my review….? I gave you one.

Love the golden nuggets. I have a very busy lifestyle so sometimes I find it difficult to sit down and read a book from cover to cover. After researching, I found a podcast that offered all the hidden gems and golden nuggets from any self help book you can think of and I thought I hit the jackpot! Well, that was short lived because the podcast ended during the pandemic so I found myself back to square one. Long story short, I was mindlessly scrolling on social media one evening and then I came across this app. I decided to give it a shot, and I’m so glad I did! It does exactly what the other podcast did minus all the fluff and interviews. I’m already 2 books in and it’s been less than an hour!!! If you’re looking for a quick way to gather key points and golden nuggets from self help books without having to spend countless hours reading them, you need this app!

Self love. I was hesitant at first and initially deleted the app before really giving it a try. I am a therapist, mom, partner, and family woman with what feels like very little time to herself. I justify not spending on myself in order to spend more on others. I realized that reading more often has been a goal of mine since well before gradschool. It never happens. When I took a second look at this app I realized it had such a great structured way of keeping me on a simple track for success. Not only would I be able to read brief summaries but I could choose any topic relatable to my day, mood and interests. Once I began using the app it became easy to listen while driving, feeding the baby, or even cooking. I love it!! Definitely worth the purchase. It is still very new to me so I cannot wait to really see all that this app has to offer.

Superficial and potentially predatory. First off, it’s not free and I’d rather they be transparent about that before you download it. Nothing can be accessed without forking over your card even for a free trial. I’m not doing that when so many people are saying they can’t cancel their subscription. Second, half the books recommended to me were in favor of hustle culture, like “things rich people teach kids but poor people don’t” which is a common financial myth about why people are poor. I didn’t even ask for that in the survey. Third, the app really tries to make you feel that not using it makes you lazy in the initial quiz. Questions about your ability to commit, push, finish what you start. I get it’s a self improvement app, but with the other issues it reminds me of predatory self help apps that pretend to help but that help is empty and unquantifiable- apps that hope you’re too forgetful to cancel or too obsessed with self improvement to recognize you’re running in circles. If I could have actually sampled something maybe my opinion wouldn’t be so negative.

Wow!. Ok. So I’m only on day two but I’ve already “read” two books. I don’t like to read much because I can’t stay focused. I need all the self-help I can get so what better way to do it than have a 15 min therapy session with one of these books! There are so many it’s hard to decide which one to read. Books on self-help, success, love and sex, management, etc. The next book I’m reading showed up under multiple categories so that should touch a l out of areas! This is fantastic. I’m so excited to listen (and read along when I can) every single day. It’s easy to go back and listen to book I’ve already “ready” to refresh/remind me of what I learned the first time. Anyway.. I’m babbling with excitement and have already shared the app info with my best friend. Self-sabotage no more and self-worth, self-esteem and emotional IQ are in the rise! BTW, there are plenty of other categories to choose from. These are the topics I need now!

Time Saver. I have a unique group of colleagues made up of diverse personalities. As chair of a few committees, I’m often held up and ham-strung by personality clashes and having to manage those personalities. The introverts are wheel-spinners and can’t move forward with anything; the extroverts make rash decisions; none of them will think big picture. I’ve been frustrated and demoralized. BUT—I listened to this and could finally see the obvious thing I’ve been missing: I’m stepping entirely off one committee that is the most toxic and just chalking it up to a learning experience even though I cared about the projects we were working on. I don’t like not producing results. I have other projects I enjoy that I can pick up. And I can pivot away from this ridiculousness and maybe, just maybe, these people will see this as a wake-up call, too, once I explain why I’m stepping off.

Caution before subscribing. I loved the idea of replacing doom scrolling with micro learning. I love to read and learn new things, and I thought this would be an interesting new way to do that. I was disappointed to find that the book summaries were far too simple. They take a book and shave it right down to a few basic points per chapter. They simplify it so far, that the information you’re left with is basically common knowledge. They’ve taken out all the supporting details that make the information interesting or memorable. They essentially erase the author’s perspective. I figured out pretty quick that this app wasn’t for me and cancelled my subscription. I later realized that I was charged for an additional 2 months after canceling. When I reached out to customer support, I was told the the 2 months I was overcharged for were nonrefundable because I had subscribed through their website rather than through the app. I’m not sure how that happened considering I just downloaded the app and followed the prompts. Finally I paid an additional $15 for infographics that I was never able to access. The company had no response to that complaint. Apparently they’re quite comfortable with ripping people off. If you’re interested in overpaying for book summaries, please proceed with caution.

Hmmm. I don’t want this to set others’ opinions of this app as I suspect the app has a lot of great value to it for people. But, the very first “Insight” I received after downloading it was; “Friendships that revolve around people are companies that research shows to be healthy, lasting and satisfying.” I had to read it 3 times over as the word “companies” just didn’t make sense here. It’s not a word that would be generally used for people with English as a first language and it threw me. I asked my husband and he said, “It’s probably written by someone whose first language isn’t English. I think they mean “relationships.” This doesn’t fill me with great promise for the app. I’d rather an app that could give tidbits of info and insights that simply just make sense and you don’t have to reread several times. Also, it makes me feel like the content is just churned out from overseas, or from bots translating things. Not a great start but I’ll persist for a bit. Any more though and I’ll leave this app to the side.

Headway. I have come to realize that Headway takes a straight dynamic approach to enhance or cultivate one’s critical thinking wich I believe is essential for a person’s overall wellbeing in today’s cahot and uncertain world we’re living in right now I marvel at how the program provokes me to consider a great amount of positive personal development and ablilites for potential growth and success lies within the subconscious mind and the steps one can take to tap into the wellspring of the total power of the brain such as understanding lastisiti and the process of learning how to eradicate stagnation I could go on but not wanting to appear redundant overall I believe that taking an honest mature approach the prognosis is win win and if you’re fascinated with learning about how our brains truly operate when we will ourselves to be in the present and accept our current reality it’s very uplifting rewarding

Learning is important!. I had lost focus on learning since graduation. I actually tried very hard NOT to have to learn anything for several years. I figured out I was using more energy not to learn than I could use learning new things. They don’t have to be complex subjects, anything you think might intrigue you or benefit you, learn about it. Since changing by horrible thought process, I’m very much loving learning and growing. It’s very important to use our brains so that they don’t get lazy and always take the easiest pathways. Don’t take the easy (turns out harder) road like I did for too long! Use this app to learn some key concepts and run with it. The app saves so much time by not having to read a whole book too! I can listen to one on the way to work or while running errands in town. The time I take driving around is no longer wasted time! Thank you Headway! 😀

Disappointed in myself for Trying the app. The app popped up in a social media add, I had been slacking in my reading recently so I decided to get a free trial. I get how trials work and why they set them up to auto bill after the trial, I accept that. I have never been so mad at myself for not canceling a free trial on time, and I’ve done it a few times with other apps I really didn’t want to pay for. If you are planning to ‘Listen’ to the book summaries, the robotic auto- read narration is so god awful I wished myself deaf. It does a horrible job at communicating the intent. I’m not sure if the summaries were written that poorly or the auto-read technology is that bad, lack of punctuation, pause, tone and human inflection often leave you confused at what you heard that you can’t even pay attention. I even tried listening to one of the books on focus and paying better attention, it didn’t help. The cards and summaries seemed to get the main points of books across I was familiar with, but I think you would have been better off reading a free summary online. The ‘cards’ and repetition features don’t seem like they would be helpful to most people or really add much value to make the App worth even risking a free trial.

mediocre content, bad programming. I have listened to about 20 book summaries over the past two weeks on Headway. They have a great selection of books across huge variety of genres. I have found the summaries to be OK but not inspiring. One of the things about books that makes them great is the stories they tell, but you cannot fit a story into a 15 minute summary so while the content of the summary is good it lacks the impact that the real book has. I have yet to listen to a book read by a real human, they’ve all been either a male or female computer that does an OK job. The functionality of the app itself is pretty bad. I get emails or notifications recommending certain books, but when you tap on that notification it opens the app back to the last page you were on instead of sending you to the recommended book. It takes forever to load the audio, and does not have any controls available in CarPlay. Today it told me “continue reading for zero minutes to meet your daily goal!” Overall I am using it as a way to screen books to decide what I’m interested in actually reading, rather than finding inspirational summaries like I expected.

Sneaky. I opted into this app from a Facebook ad. I have gone back-and-forth with Customer Service about charging me after the trial when it very clearly says when you sign up that several reminders will be sent when your trial period is about to run out so that you can decide whether you want to keep the app or cancel the membership. I received zero and I mean zero notifications. I also did not see the app in my recently purchased so there was no way for me to go back and delete it or unsubscribe until I was billed. I very respectfully wrote back two emails letting the customer service personnel know what had transpired and they could care less. I think this is very sneaky I am very aware of how trial periods work but I also believe that you can go back and see the history of the application being used or not used and I was not given any notification I think it’s garbage and really bad customer service and a really bad way to do business. I will eat the $40 but I feel like this is just mean and not a good way to attain and keep loyal customers. Tracking them into paying for something they don’t use and yes I said tricking because zero notification was sent even though your sign up process said it would.

nerdy black girls unite!!. This app has changed my life tremendously. Most of my screen-time on my phone is from this app. I have told all my friends about it. I read more than 93% of Headway readers w/ a goal of 38min/day, but i find myself listening to Headway w a headphone in while I’m cooking, doing laundry, cleaning, during flights and on long walks too. I have the motivational “quote of the day” widget on the home page of my phone that is the first thing i see on my phone and really sets my intention for that day! Next, I want to start taking notes on the books i am reading ! I find myself reading a lot of the books twice to pick up anything i missed or ingrain it into my mind with spaced repetition. I also find doing anything else on my phone like watching silly vids so boring compared to learning something new on here! I find myself being an overall better person. You are making our lives a lot better in these overstimulating times :)!! My favorite topics are technology, psychology, and self-improvement. I am an extremely autodidactic person so this to me is the equivalent of somebody getting their masters, except I prefer having a wide-range of knowledge. Thanks again!!

Please read before getting. I saw this app in an ad for another productivity app I was using, was interested and decide to give it a go. It was free so my first thought was there would be a subscription involved. I am broke and only indulge in one-time payment applications, but I was not going to give up on this one. I opened the app to see that there was a 50 dollars a year subscription. I wasn’t pleased, but I exited the tab and they kept pushing the prices lower to get me to buy the subscription. Like every five seconds they would be like, “Oh, you get a SPECIAL discount or whatever” and I was SO frustrated. The app setup seemed really nice, everything was structured well, but unfortunately I will not be using this app. I cannot even read or listen to a book without paying a subscription. A free trial seems worthless as I would only get to be productive for a week. Headway is not a worthy app and I should not have to pay to make myself more productive. Thank you

MUST READ!!. so I am 23 and entrepreneur, I don’t believe I have ever written a review from the App Store and I’ve had an iPhone as long as I can remember. I strongly recommend you take the test and read these books every day life can kind of get away from us and this is an excellent reminder to read. I love to read a good book, and this is that and more. I feel a deeper connection within myself as I truly ponder how I can apply the concept this app teaches me. Also, if you take their intuition test at the end of it, they will give you 70% off and it’s only $30 a year so I highly recommend it and would even pay the original price as I have found great value in an app that actually makes a difference with how I live my life. and this is coming from somebody who doesn’t like to be on their phone by the way.

Not free and won’t cancel so continues to charge. I tried this app. It works perfectly for what it is, but doesn’t suit me. I wasn’t using it so cancelled it a week before the 30 day period via the app after reading ‘how to cancel’. Today I was charged, I went back into the app and cancelled again (it wasn’t cancelled). It confirmed I was cancelled again. I then tried again just to make sure it worked this time - turns out they don’t cancel. The app doesn’t ever cancel your subscription so they can continue to charge you until you realise. They had to manually cancel me and won’t refund my money. Just steer clear, it isn’t worth it.

Fees for no service?. I signed up to this over a year ago out of interest. Didn’t really like it because if just seemed like it just skimmed across the top of each book without giving you much. Barely enough info in it to say you understand anymore than the skin of a subject. After that I decided to get out. I though that had been done but have now noticed they have been taking money out every three months. I haven't signed into it in over a year yet they continue charging. Basically happy to take the fee without giving any service or product. The thing that really annoys me is they never sent me a single receipt or notification for any of these transactions. They just seem happy to slide it out of your account without notifying you. Based on the fact it doesn’t give you any in depth knowledge of subjects and is easier to sign up to than cancel I couldn’t recommend.

Great concept and matches my learning style. I love the concept and the design. I’m two books in and got a lot out of both as a leader and manager. Really recommend How to Talk to Anyone. Jury is out as the whether I’ll resubscribe. I’ve tried a few more books but the AI or digitised American narration on some of the books is very difficult to listen to. I hope they gradually replace some of these with more stylish narration.

Good I’d love to pay for this subscription again. I ain’t native speaker so this audio is bit fast for me ( I bought this for my English reading skills ) and only two voice actor reading all the summaries ( especially boy’s actor ) the reason why feeling little bored and also sometimes it doesn’t match with summaries article between audio ( just some words) But still good quality of information, so much helpfulness, can savings a lots of time and voice actors are really sounds comfortable. Thanks for make this amazing service. I’m really appreciate :)

Limited library. So, I tried a few of these apps over Christmas and I forgot to cancel the free trial of this one before it charged me for a whole year (yes this is entirely my fault). I’m trying to make the best of what was a lot of money (why are there no monthly, 3 monthly, 6 monthly options?) but finding the library very limited. There doesn’t appear to be very many new titles and the narration on many titles leaves a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, this will be like a lot of peoples experience with gym memberships where I will use it for one month and then it will lay dormant until my subscription runs out. In fact I’m close to deleting the app and I’m not even a month in. I would like to see alternative subscription options and the library expanded to include more recent titles. Thanks.

I agree with Ben’s review!. Literally this is the best app I have ever purchased! I don’t know how much it cost but it’s so useful and has so much value within that it pays for itself within a couple of days of owning it. Self development should be a consistent thing that everyone does and teach there children to do- and this app makes it extremely easy and condensed. I am reading more than ten books a month !

Game changer. It’s like having all the conversations I crave right there .. I can read the text quietly while sharing coffee time in bed in the morning, or I can listen to it if I’m alone. I can jump from one topic to another without the feeling of abandoning anything, and easily come back to it. I can save bits and share bits to my journal or with friends. It’s profound, enriching, comforting, inspiring. It’s amazing .

Great App. I quitted Audible / kindle unlimited after using this app. At first, i was hesitant to pay 139 dollars in the beginning, but the variety & the amounts of summarised/visualised/ audio added books in this app blew my mind. You will definitely enjoy reading through the visually explained books! I spent over $500 dollars on books last year, so this app actually saves my money in long term. I will keep using this app and save my money to buy limited edition books on the side, heheh.

Great for ADHD. My squirrel brain means reading a whole book is an overwhelming task. These book summaries seem succinct but comprehensive, and give enough room for further independent exploration if desired. The app interface is great, it has some amazing functionality (easily switch between text and audiobook), and seems to have a great range of books available. Very glad I purchased. (P.S you can get 70% off if you’re patient, I paid aud$50).

Great app, great content. I highly recommend Headway. I have needed inspiration for my journaling practice & this is the perfect nudge for that. I’ve tested the curated pieces on books I’m familiar with & books I have not yet read. It provides a really accurate summary of all the key take-always for the books I’ve read & guides me to my next books, eliminating the ones I would find to be a waste of time, efficiently & effectively. This app has been both a good investment of my dollars & time!

Great but could be better. I love the books, I don’t mind the robotic voices but PLEASE let us turn highlights into flashcards! The “insights” often aren’t as good as other parts of the text and I want to highlight parts to revisit in the repetition/flash card section but it doesn’t allow it. You just have to go find and reread them in the highlight section but the flashcards are way more effective. Otherwise, really helpful and cool app.

Amazinggg. This app is amazing so many options and opportunities to read books and improve yourself. Absolutely inspiring. Yes there is a free version but it does not allow you to have a lot of access for obvious reasons being they take the time and energy to create this app and contents. I have gotten a great discount too to pay like $46 for a whole year subscription, which is amazing! I recommend.

Overcharged and extremely poor customer service. I opted for annual subscription which was going fine u til I noticed that they over charged me in addition to annual payment. After a month they charged me again. When I contacted them, they responded after 3 days and said that it is a monthly subscription. I shared few screenshots of annual payment and other over charged payments, and it’s been a week, haven’t received any response at all. I have paid over $200 so far for a month. This is non sense. Instead I could have bought original books of all the books that I read so far. These guys are cheaters in the name of motivation. Please don’t subscribe. Waste of money. Waste of time. Waste of energy. They don’t have any money back guarantee when opted though their website. There is no means to cancel the subscription. There is no means to modify the payment method. Once in, never out. I seriously don’t know how these guys got 4.5 star. I was going though few comments, and I can say that most of them are endorsed. And in few comments, there is no match between the rating and comments. Some of them have given a 5 star with negative descriptions. Please do your research before subscribing.

Enjoying but could be some improvements. This app has been great for my goal of listening to self empowering books. My main feedback to the developers is that it’s been frustrating that I can’t seem to queue anything and so sometimes will have a book finish during my commute and can’t then touch my phone while driving to get the next one started

Dishonest marketing and zero reply to concerns. So I tried the 7 day trial. I thought I cancelled the trial. I get charged for a year. I have contacted the company twice now. Zero reply. The app does not work as advertised and even though I have been charged the app shows I am not registered for access to books as promised. This is not a case of not knowing how to use the App Store, or anything like that. Rather the marketing is deceptive and set up to charge regardless. The fact the books do not have original covers is also suspect. If the company bothers to reply to this review, the question I have is why they cannot reply to support requests?

Very happy with it. I previous subscribed to Audible but found whole books hard to focus on. Then I got into Blinkist which I thought was great, but got bored with it and the style of the book reading. I’ve found the Headway app my favourite of the lot so far. They set challenges and select books for you after a detailed analysis so every time I open the app I see something I’m curious in. Also feel like Headway has had more books that I’m looking that I couldn’t find on Blinkist

Quick and fascinating. I just downloaded this app and it’s a great shift away from scrolling through social media or the news. Quick bites of information are easy to absorb and you feel little achievements as well with the app noting how much you’ve read and clipped. This makes it fun! Highly recommend.

Great summary books. I am not a reader person so i love the fact that a short summary is there and I can just listen especially when I drive to/from home. What I want more from the app is the ability to choose the narrator voice. At some stage it gets so boring listening to the same voice over an over again. I want a narrator voice that I can connect to.

I absolutely love this app!. I cannot recommend this app enough! There is a huge diversity of information that is very easily accessed through either reading or listening the book summaries. I feel like just using this app has helped me grow as an individual! I normally do not purchase premiums in apps, especially ones such as this with such great free access but I have for this app and I cannot recommend it enough! This app is amazing and I am so happy with how it has impacted my life and helped to give me perspective on a variety of areas. Cannot recommend it enough!!!!

Worth every cent.... I just read a few of the reviews about this app and am completely blown away by how many people out there in the world today are completely negative and have completely missed the point about what this app is about. I downloaded the free trial and assuming I’ve been charged (i haven’t checked actually) but already have found that the value I’ve got out of reading seven books has completely paid for itself already..!! If you don’t invest in yourself you have zero idea about personal development and people that are complaining about the cost of this app are completely deluded...and need the books even more than they even know. Yes there are a few spelling mistakes yes there are couple app development issues but every app in the world has problems. The content of the book is flawless and it’s already changed my life in one week from reading two books each morning and I am only on day 6. Thanks so much for the app developers we are always looking for improvements because we’re geared to be negative but if you guys can continue to improve by 1% every day and adopt some of the principles of your books I’ll be with you for life. Ben Physick WLCW

Amazing app. It is a great app for the beginner’s who want to start reading books. Some times we feel reading a whole book is hard and we may postpone or skip reading. But in this app we are getting a good summary of the book and it is straight to the point. Once we become habitual reading summaries then slowly we can start reading books. Moreover there is a feature of Free daily read, which we get one random book summary everyday to read for free. We can also listen to the audio instead of reading.

A SCAM - do not sign up!!! They steal your money!!. This app will offer you an ‘incredible’ free trial. You will use the app for two seconds and realise it’s a total waste of time then unsubscribe. Unfortunately, regardless of the fact you have unsubscribed you WILL GET CHARGED for an annual subscription. There a huge amount of complaints against this company on Google review and Apple Store for them charging customers after they have unsubscribed and people never receiving a refund. I followed all the correct protocol, my account literally says NO SUBSCRIPTION and I still got charged a $75 subscription after the end of the trial period. The only way to cancel this is to cancel the credit card you signed up with. It is disgusting that an organisation will do this, and this is clearly a scam. The content of the APP is rubbish, I didn’t listen through a single book, it’s a total waste of time. DO NOT SIGN UP TO THIS APP! THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY!!!!!

My thoughts. This is a very useful app for those wanting to practicing the art of reading. I believe in building a better world future through the art of reading. I believe this app needs more support and to encourage self development. I think the app can improve with more features and needs more assortment of different books.

Just 5 minutes a day and my life is changing. I was sceptical but needed desperately to make some changes my life but was already feeling overwhelmed. 5 minutes a day felt like something I could do… and I haven’t every day but as soon as I tried and made an effort to stick to that 5 minutes other areas of my life started improving. What a fabulous way to learn without being bogged down in full books, especially if you find it’s not for you!

It’s not free, won’t leave and wasn’t what I expected. If you’re in here to see if it costs you anything, then yes it does. You can participate in a Free Trial like all the other apps. For me, I downloaded this app off an add I saw on my phone showing a certain type of test that the app lets u do. Sadly the first thing I saw was that it’s an app to read things on and to better your meant health and well-being. Which in itself is great but it’s not the purpose I downloaded it for and was rather disappointed tbh :( If your looking to use the app for its main purpose of reading for wellness then I’d say this is a great app. In the time that I had used it was very VERY good at sending reminders to my phone to notifying me to read something and it even offered 4 different discounts for the subscription, which is great but not what I needed. To try the app I had to make an account, which I did but once I decided I didn’t need the app I wanted to delete my account before I delete the app from my phone, but when I tried to delete my account it shut down the app 5 times!! It was annoying me so I left it and tried to do it again another day thinking it’s just a glitch for it only to not let me delete the account again which really annoyed me so I left it for like a good amount of time and it finally let me delete the account. (I wrote this review once before but it deleted my entire review so here it is for a second time👍🏻)

Normally don’t click on Ads but this one…. I could be interested but I had to check comments when the ad popped up on my tik tok and I also checked out the reviews on the App Store. I downloaded it and so far second day in and I’m already inspired, motivated and ready to change a few things in my life. The books I read so far helps with the time I have for myself when I’m not looking after my 9 month old son but also some tips to help adjust to this life called parenthood. I definitely recommend this app if you’re wanting motivation in depth but simplified. So far so good and personally feeling good about myself. The best thing is looking forward to what book I’m reading next and what it’s going to do to inspire me in that moment.

so far, the summaries are better written than Blinkist. When the marketing sucked me in with a detailed survey i was expecting a much more organised reading plan, that would get a 5 from me. Nevertheless, so far i like it better than Blinkist. I do wish you could copy and paste text. I try to import into Roam reaerch but it seems bloated with some kind of tagging. That's understandable these days i guess because of AI theft.

I love it. There is such a great range of books there so concisely written and easy to read and informative I think as well worth of money especially if you get a discount like I did I think I paid just $50 for this subscription for a year which is really nothing when you were getting this much knowledge. 100% would recommend that the price I paid.

Not a bad app. This app has helped with my anxiety it’s actually surprisingly easy to listen to and I didn’t loose concentration even know I have adhd honestly needed to hear some of the things it had to say absolutely would recommend it to most of my friends. Not paid to say this in case y’all wondering it’s just generally a good app :)

Too many emails with a lousy opt out system. Overall not a bad app with great content. I like the non fiction focus. A few improvements can be made to make it better - I want to receive interesting quotes once a week within the app or on my phone notification, not via emails - seriously TOO MANY EMAILS and they make it especially hard to unsubscribe to all. No such option. They only allow you to unsubscribe to that particular category and god knows how many categories they have?! It’s 2021... Should be more transparent with these things and allow us to customize what emails we want, how regular we want to get them.

Ambitious or would like to be? Download it. Headway is such a great application. It saves time providing summaries of books, and it will bring up precious books that you never heard of; you can listen, read, highlight stuff you think is valuable and share with family, friends and others. It’s an application that will make you a better person overall.

A tale of two readers. There are two reasons to read, for the journey or for the destination. Some people get a lot out of reading books. I myself enjoy the story of a novel or a particularly in depth philosophical piece. But many ideas are about the destination. For those who want to take a few moments to speed to the destination of knowing what their friends are reading or understanding some key self help insights, Headway allows you to make progress towards this destination far faster than your average journeyman.

Less scrolling more substance. Headway has given me a new view on my time, every morning I wake up and the first thing I do is reach for my phone and scroll reels and socials, I am only a week in and my screen time is down and I’m learning new things everyday on topics I didn’t even realize existed! I have a short attention span but find I can easily focus on the small bursts of information as they are relevant to what I choose. Highly recommend if you want more substance and less scrolling.

Content okay; narration terrible. Overall the content categories and book options are great. The summaries are a little lacklustre at times, but what makes things a bit frustrating is that the narration is well below par. I’m quite often left feeling like there’s a point missing. Further, because the narration seems to be computer generated, the pronunciation and emphasis isn’t always right, which in turn can be quite distracting. We should expect better from a paid app in 2023, with the development of AI narration etc.

R. SIEBEN. This app is very helpful I would recommend this to any individual, who’s coming full circle to doing the right thing for themselves and to have constant and consistent reading material that many great people we know past and present have become successful on their lives and in business success, if you have slight issues or don’t like writing or journaling this app is the way to go 10/10

Voice over and reading of words. I’d prefer to listen to this information with a choice of voice and the voice to have recorded each book in whole rather than singular words that have been put together as that’s how it sounds The information is good from each subject I just wish that it was a little more user friendly to give me a plan for my day and on how to use the app effectively as I kind of feel lost as to what my goals are and why

spark a hope bred. i’ve been suffering from clinical depression for the longest time and decided i couldn’t live this way anymore. i was failing school. failing life. and most of all failing myself and the future i could’ve deprived myself of. i’m trying to work through and heal so i can become a better person for not only the people around me but myself. i’ve really enjoyed looking through and seeing the changes in my life that can be possible and start putting them into practice within my life. and for the first time in a long time i have the confidence and motivation to not put my future self at a level that i would have to fight at. i’ve been fighting my whole life and i like having the hope that i can change my mindset and have the idea that little things can make the fight less hard. the things they’ve suggested in a few of my books im just keen to put into practice and see myself in a happier swell being space.

Total scam don’t waste your money!. The worst app I’ve ever used! Scam you from the start, somehow setting me up with two accounts (one with an auto generated email as the user name?!). I was charged after the initial trial period, so I tried a book. Didn’t enjoy the experience. The auto renew kicked in however there are absolutely no links or settings in the app to cancel/unsubscribe/delete account! Finally found an email address to their support team, refused to refund the money and are giving me the run around when I requested to unsubscribe/cancel/delete both accounts. Terrible app, terrible service. Only 1 star because you can’t leave 0 stars

Perfect for my morning and bedtime routine.. I don’t normally have a lot of time during the day to ready a book so this is a convenient way to fit it in my schedule. Would highly recommend if you enjoy reading but you’re always on the go. Plus it’s always good to have a preview before fully investing in a new book🤓

Practical for my ambitious mind and goals. Being a mum of two young boys whilst juggling full time work and managing a home, I have found this app incredibly helpful and practical for my life and season. I am changing and learning something new every day and I can accomplish having read two book summaries in a day. Its brilliant and worth the investment if you are time poor or just have a full life. Highly recommend.

FRAUD & DECEPTION. Do not sign up for any ‘free trial’ or anything with this organisation. Their information is false & their conduct fraudulent. Despite trying to ‘cancel the free trial subscription’ according to their terms & conditions, there is no way to do so through App, Apple support or a ‘website account’. You end up chasing your tail to try & resolve it. If you inadvertently sign up using PayPal, be sure to remove them from Automatic payments under your PayPal profile! Otherwise they will thieve your money and you probably won’t get it back. They ask you to email them with queries & promise to respond in 24 hours. They don’t! Messenger communication defers you to check their ‘FAQs for quick help’ (but they can’t be found) & also send them an email (to which they don’t respond). WALK AWAY & DO NOT SIGN UP FOR ANYTHING!

Annoying to listen to. I’ve used other services like this in the past, so this is not an original idea yet the amount charged is the same. This would be fine if it wasn’t for the ridiculous automated voice used to produce an expensive service as cheaply as possible. Listening to an episode is like receiving an email from someone who doesn’t know how to use punctuation and it’s simply painful to listen to. I regret paying for a month and I’m glad I’m not stuck with this for an expensive year.

Excellent. This is exactly what I needed. 15 minute reads that deliver more valuable information then most 200 page books I have read. Free trial is very generous and it clearly states that it will renew to a yearly 12 month subscription afterwards. It isn’t the app developers problem people don’t know how to click on their itunes account and manage subscriptions. Maybe consult your device’s basic instructions before playing around on the app store. Highly recommend A++

Great way to learn without the filler. I’m loving this, you can choose your topics based on what you want to achieve, can read or listen to the well written conclusions to each chapter which details the main points behind it, and not spend hours of time trying to get the time to read the whole book and all the filler in between

Love it!. Started this morning already on my second book. So grateful that someone has figured out how to motivate people who cannot pick up a book actually physically and wanna read while they’re walking the dog or have a spare minute in the morning. I’m looking forward to seeing what this mag app can do for my productivity for my business and to be able to share this future with others by showing results that only 20 minutes a day. Key points out of a book can really make. Grateful and excited to update this Review ??!!! after 30 continues days of reading/listening to all my recommended books by the leaders of the industries of different types and looking forward to educating myself.

Thank you. Best app in my life. Pull my life out of the social media which is disturbing from time to time. I wish more and more people will know about this app and achieve more in your life. I also saw the review from ben physiwk. 100% agree with you. We should focus on the purpose of the product, rather than picking on the bugs. The best book I have read in this app is the 5 second rule. Make me action quicker. Lol

Scam. I signed up for 7 days free trial and app charged me the annual fee straight away. There is false advertising and this is not acceptable. I’ll talk to my close friend who Cybersecurity specialist and working at government department and put it as an investigation. You’ll get headache in Australia which you deserve. If you having same trouble you can contact to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) or your local Office of Fair Trading if you think an ad is: not truthful. inaccurate. Your advertisement misleading and against the Australian Consumer Law. Edit: Cost refunded through Apple. But it does not change the app’s false advertising.

Great concept 👏. Great idea to have a free well trial. Really like this idea of reading summaries of books, condensed information but it gets straight to the point, it’s easy to read and understand, not into one book you can quickly move on to the next (don’t have to read until the end), loads of books to choose from, love that you have the option to scan through titles and briefs then add to your library to read later and lots of relatable topics to choose from as well.

My intelligence is rising. This is the perfect app for me! I have adhd, and as much as I have always wanted to read a good book on how the universe works and how to create loving relationships I was always afraid of the thought that I would have to sit and be still and quiet, I would read a page then over to the next page I had already forgotten what I had just read it was pointless! Now with this app I can get what I want out of these great books while I do the dishes, vacume walk the dog. It’s perfect

Perfect solution!. For years I’ve been chasing my tail trying to read books and never having enough time to finish them. Now I can gain all the relevant facts and key points of a book in circa 20 min. Better to have gained knowledge from a book a day rather than trying to do battle with a 600 page book over the course of a year!

Great. Just downloaded and completed 2 books. Definitely can see myself continuing.

Good so far. I’ve been using the app for 2 weeks now and have read summaries every day so far. Some summaries are better than others, and if you’re someone who listens to audiobooks you probably won’t enjoy this app because the voices in read mode are robot AI voices and it’s hard to listen to. But other than that I feel like there’s a fairly large selection of books and I’ve really enjoyed being able to read the summaries of books that I don’t necessarily want to read in their entirety, so I just get the key points. I like the micro-learning aspect of it, and it has kept me from mindless scrolling.

Very user friendly(but not free). The UI and app are very simple to use, however this app is not really made for free users. They keep begging you to subscribe and only let you read 1 book per day THAT THEY CHOOSE. App is great, price is not

Horrible!. Beyond disappointed

Cheated. I canceled during the one week free trial but still got charged $117!!

Their billing system ignored my cancelation.. I canceled my subscription Feb 1, a day before its renewal and they still charged me. Not cool. Hoping support is able to fix this.

refund. hello, i cannot fund a contact number however i just purchased this service. I have never even opened this application in about 2 weeks i and would like a refund. i can not afford this at all and meant to cancel but i had a family emergency which involved me flying to a different city and it completely slipped my mind. i’m kindly asking for a refund as i can no longer pay my rent because this payment has been taken out of my account. i’m asking you from the bottom of my heart to please issue a refund. i’m begging i really cannot afford this.

Waste of money. I can’t believe I spent the money I did on this app. Biggest waste of money. The books are read in a robot voice. Wish I read the reviews before buying. I was suppose to get a week free then be charged after that week was over which was not the case. They charge you as soon as you click on the subscription. Also you can’t review any of the books before buying a subscription. If I knew it wasn’t an actual person reading the books I would of never paid that overpriced price.

give money back. to be exact it was 133$ taken from me and i cannot cancel so i want money back now because even if it was canceled before hand it still won’t work

Robot narrator and sus pricing. The books are read by a robot voice but if that’s what you’re into you’re good. Also after I cancelled my subscription I noticed that the price automatically charged me for 6 months is the same price as their 1 year subscription so they would’ve charged me double for the year if I stayed.....super shady

Scam. Make it completely impossible to cancel the subscription

Scam. Total scam charged me up for a yearly subscription automatically after a free trial and didn’t even notify me that the trial was over GIVE ME MY $133 back

I have never been so upset about an app experience. Scam. Someone is making a killing off this. They lure you in with a free trial, and then scam you out of over $100. Not to mention, the summaries are terrible quality. It’s like they’ve been written by someone in the 9th grade. I suspect it’s all done poorly by AI. Even before I realized how badly they scammed me, I was extremely disappointed in the writing and summary quality.

Unethical. I tried Headway out on a promotion basis for US$15 across three months. I later found multiple charges on my credit card from Headway exceeding $40 US, they are not taking responsibility. Now, understanding how the app is used, I found that the micro learning is very abbreviated and needs more reinforcement. I was not the biggest fan of this app overall. I would stick to full audiobooks.

Shady Free Trial & Subscription Model. The product and service looked interesting so I signed up for the Free Trial. A few things however, that I found shady and unclear...beware. 1. It’s not clear you need to unsubscribe BEFORE your week trial is over. 2. You’re automatically signed up for 6 months and you’re not given a choice on this. 3. There’s no reminder or heads up that they’re going to charge you over $130 for 6 months of this service. It’s not $30 or $50, but a significant purchase of over $100+. If App companies really want to build real lasting relationships, communities with their audiences, they NEED to be a lot more transparent about this. I just had to go through the process of requesting a refund and now have to wait two days to hear back. I may not even get the refund and will then have had to pay for a service I will not use. Unfair. Definitely not looking out for the consumer.

Great but can be better. This app is great for those who don’t have time to read a full book but want to get the essence of it. Some feedback for developers: 1. If I want to find a quote mentioned in the book, it thinks I’m trying to read it again and prompt me to continue reading it when that’s not my purpose. If the app can determine that once a book has been read and no longer needs to be read again, can it not ask me to read it again? 2. Can you allow users to add their own quoted messages to the “repetition” tab? I think rn it’s just the preselected quote but that’s not necessarily what I want to remember. 3. Why is there a need to have a “repetition” tab? Not sure the purpose of this and I don’t use it. 4. If I want to buy a book after I read it I would like to do it from your app… can you include that in your next iteration/ business plan ? Appreciate this app a lot! Thank you! Al

Do not waste your money. I forgot to cancel my free trial so I gave it a shot anyways. Extremely disappointing selection of books. Robot narrator that makes you want to jump onto a cactus. Don’t waste your time or money.

Suspicious. Free trial for 1 week then billed annually, ~120$ CAD. Skipped it to see what I could get for free, then a "special offer for 50% off, annually". Declined, and even after looking at another success challenge a 70% off deal. Imagine trying to scam people. Fastest uninstall speedrun out there

So far, it’s helpful and motivating. I’m a new member, I will write a proper review once I’ve completed my seven day free trial. I will have a better idea how I feel about this app and the content. Stay tuned!

Horrible ! THEY WILL NOT RESPOND TO YOU. I signed up for a free trial and was billed for the year. I’ve written two emails to their support team and have never received a response. A fraudulent app and I can’t believe they are able to continue to offer it here.

Scam. They lure you in with the free trial subscription and then take your money without any chance for a refund.

Deceptive marketing. All the Instagram ads are fake and aren't actually representative of the app. Also, they bombard you with "special offers" if you aren't paying for a subscription.

Be careful - they lure you in and it’s tricky to cancel. I tried the free trial and found the voice overs really annoying to listen to. They sound like AI. Thought I’d cancelled but apparently you must do it through them, not Apple. So, when I got charged, I asked them to refund me. It took them weeks to get back to me, and they refused. I’d say it’s not worth the money, and the customer service clinched it.

It’s a scam. Do not get lured into this

Small changes can have big results. We have all heard this saying, but no matter how small a step you take toward a goal, just knowing you’re moving forward and not staying stagnant will give you encouragement. This app gives me tiny bits to chew on and consider and propel me forward. I can set realistic goals and feel accomplished and motivated when I achieve them.

BEWARE of subscription renewal!!!. If you forget to cancel your free trial even by a day they charge you for a YEAR! No chance of refund. $130 ish Canadian. Yikes! Ap itself is ok but not at that price. Feel ripped off. Lesson learned. This is my 1st 1star review.

Huge Fan!. Thank you for showing this app to me. It has already helped. The wheels are in motion! Cheers! Merci! S.K.W

This app is trash, you have to pay to use!. Title says it all. You can’t do anything on the app until you activate a 7 day trial and then pay 117$ for the year! You can only look at the pretty book covers. This is a great concept but I guess the developers are insanely greedy that they can’t offer a free version of the app with limited functions to at least let people try the app before committing. Don’t bother downloading.

Intolerably bad AI voiceover. Such a nasty product. They take your money, offering no free trial and couldn’t care less if you are satisfied. They basically plug content into ChatGPT and then get a robot to read the summary back to you. I lasted less than two minutes before I had to stop listening because to me, obvious AI voice generation makes my ears bleed. I asked for a refund immediately after purchasing and was denied with all subsequent attempts to contact them ignored. Hopefully I can help at least one other person save their money with this review. Honestly…just don’t.

Impossible to cancel this subscription and impossible to get support to cancel it. Impossible to cancel

Spammed by email. I looked into Headway and considered it briefly. Of course you must provide an email to look at what the app has to offer. I decided against Headway and have now had a barrage of spam emails that keep coming even though I have "unsubscribed".

I Got Scammed. I bought a subscription and have been trying to contact them bc it is not working. No one is getting back to me. Their email congratulating me on my purchase, linked me to their app and all that does is try to sell me a subscription which I already have but can’t use.

How Dare you charge me on my first Click and free trial. I just enter 7 days Trial and you charged me? I have been downloading free trial for ages and this is the first time I got charged. I should have read the reviews. Please process the Refund.

Don’t download it’s a money grab. Voices read by robot voice and will automatically charge you for the highest subscription without warning and won’t give you your money back!

Over charges you. Did the free trial and it said after that I will be charged $9.99/week Just looked on my credit card statement and they charged me $117.99 for 6 months. Never once did it say anything about this when downloading. Also when I went to my subscriptions to cancel there are multiple prices listed just randomly for different time periods.

Scam. They do not offer a stop subscription. They automatically pull money out of your account even after a subscription cancel.

Unimpressed. Instantly regretted paying for this. All the books are voiced by a computer. Sounds like Siri is reading too you. Refund please.

Huge fraud they charge you for 6 months even if the app says weekly subscription. They offer a one week trial and then 9,99$ per week. After one week they charged me for 6 months 135$!!!! There is no way I would have agreed to renew for 6 months. The robot voice is extremely annoying, why would I pay that much money for a summary of a book read by a robot!???? I can’t get a refund through apple I am so angry and I can’t afford to lose 135$ just because of these scammers!

Scammed by this app, don’t buy. I was offered a free trial to test this app that I found in an old folder, and decided to give it a try since I didn’t remember even opening it. They charged me for 6 months without even letting me use the free week and never answered my emails asking for a solution. Very poor customer service.

Wrong money charges. They are a scam. They will show you option for one month charges and at the end of free trial period they will charge for the whole year and than no response to emails forwarded. Even Apple support is not helping. Basically you r trapped.

Very Shady Billing. I had this app as a trial for 1 week. I was not notified that the trial was about to run out. There was not notification, just a sudden charge for what I can only imaging was for a whole year’s subscription. Pornography sites are more reputable this this app. Zero stars. This company sucks.

Don’t do it!!!. The default subscription is a year. No reminder that the app free trial will expire. Automatically charged one of the most expensive subscriptions. Apple should remove this from the App Store!

Focus on your money. They are more take your money than help you in some way. They should give a trial for a month to see if it’s real worth and not asking for payment at the first.

Beware!!!! Highly promoted but low in delivery.. No customer service. Especially when you missed cancelling the subscription before the end of the few days trial. They don’t respond to you email request or inquiries. Over promising promo video. Low delivery in app design and quality of audio book summary. I hardly wrote any apps reviews but I do this time. first payment is a 6 month commitment costing over $100.

Bad customer care... fraudulent subscription prices. I try to contact them about my subscription, which they charge me 132$ for 6 months... they did not asked me which one I want when I subscribed.. there is no reply and no contact number... do not get into this app.. very shady

Headway. Very helpful and inspiring. Great way to become more motivated. Easy to listen to and relaxing.

I want a refund!!!. There is no way I would ever pay 117.00 for any app!! I cancelled this within 24 hrs of the 7 day trial I still got billed for 133.00. I am soooo mad

I really do think it is going to be worth it. I love the free trial.. I totally plan on keeping it!

Scam. Paid for the subscription but nothing worked, no response

Scam. After signing up for the one week free trial it will ask u to sign up for the ‘free trial plan’ that costs 150+ for half a year

Please do not. Read here for more info:. I don’t typically leave bad reviews. It takes a lot to get here and feel the need to share… I bought this app and immediately regretted it. It’s utterly toxic. It forces you to read materials after a personality test to help “improve your life” and all the text REQUIRED to read through are each so toxic. The amount of misogyny, fat phobia, manipulation, and other horrible characteristics… I am appalled however this app got a good rating makes me loose faith in the star-rates systems here. I genuinely want to cry. I can’t believe this all is charging people and doing well, which implied people are eating this up and I just wish people much much better than what this app provides. Shameful and horrendous experience. I stayed on here for a span of time that only became progressively disappointing. I can’t. I can’t even ethically read what they *require* in order to experience what they consider life improvement. I feel horrible.

Misleading. I kept seeing ads for this app on social media and the imagery accompanying each ad was always some sort of graph marking different kinds of “intelligence” or some quiz-style card… so here I am thinking it’s one of those brain game with puzzles and situations to test your thinking. Going to the App Store page reinforces this… the photos are playful but not necessarily showing the app and the description talks about learning in a fun but vague way. But it’s not any of that. It’s an app with summaries of books that experts in different fields think you should read (like different business, marketing, philosophy books, etc). Each book is made of these short summaries and, in some cases, excerpts, with the hope that that you become more knowledgeable, aware, whatever, without reading the full book. Read a real book or don’t, I don’t care (IMO, this is one of the dumbest things I’ve seen yet), but please stop using misleading ads and update your App Store profile for what this app is really about.

THIS APP IS STATE OF THE ART AND UNEQUIVOCALLY UNIQUE. As someone who hasn’t always been an avid reader, I was thrilled to discover Headway. This app has made me want to be an avid reader, but unfortunately, I don’t have enough time to read full-length books. That’s why I love Headway’s unique ability to summarize popular non-fiction books in just 15 minutes. The summaries are well-written and provide a comprehensive overview of the key points of each book. The app is also highly intuitive and user-friendly, making it easy to navigate and use. Overall, I would highly recommend Headway to anyone who wants to expand their knowledge but doesn’t have the time to read full-length books.

Fantastic App!. For 48 yrs I have had a very difficult time reading. Maybe I should say I’ve struggled with remaining focused long enough to finish what I started. That belief alone kept me from something I have figured out that I love. This app removes all unnecessary fluff and gets straight to the point. This keeps each session as short or long as you want it to be. Oddly enough once I start reading using this app I now have a hard time getting myself to stop! Reading daily has had an immediate impact! My mind is clear, thoughts and words are flowing I feel like a different person! These results were almost immediate. I highly recommend this app! Thank you Headway

Great App!. I was hesitant but after listening to one audio summary I felt so inspired about life in general I decided to upgrade so I could read or listen to as many as I wanted every day. I’m not usually a big reader, I have a kid and have to move around all day. I listen to the books while I work, it’s super easy. The information has been inspiring, healing and life changing. I’m grateful that I took the leap and tried the free one book a day version. There’s lots of subjects and rabbit holes to go down. Loving all the books on communicating and having healthier relationships. I love the repetition flash cards. Definitely worth trying out if you want to grow, feel inspired and learn about almost anything. Great App!

Great app only if you use the free version is just a tease!!. I love this app! I started using it for 2 weeks straight and then started encountering repetition in the daily free read! I am happy using just the free version because whatever the book of the day is it gives me some time during the day to reflect on the content or ideas presented ! Perfect! But I give only one star in the hope someone will notice me and fix the algorithm. I wish there was a fix in the app and when you don’t read/listen to the free daily read you’d have the option to choose your own book (even if you have that choice limited, like once a week or a month even). Or maybe just better assortment in the free daily read. Listened for 2 weeks straight and then whole month of checking everyday I only see the books I’ve already listened to… not cool.. Loved the app when I had what to listen on it..

Scam. This app has a concept that seems altruistic, but it’s business platform is opportunistic and it’s summaries underwhelming and written by AI at times. I could have enjoyed the app but immediately got buyers remorse when I realized that all their language is doubletalk on canceling and subscriptions. While advertised as weekly price breakdown, fine print states that billing cycles are 6 mo to a year. There is lots of talk and text about refunds, but “technically” and “legally” this app has used all the smooth tricks of eye and trade to duly notify you and yet keep you ignorant—there are no refunds folks. This app is a money skimmer and mediocre service scaler. If it cared about people it would stand behind its product and service rather than a wall of legal language and smug “offers” and paywalls you don’t realize you are in—it would make room for human error, change of attitude—generating good will through generosity and good value. This app has a concept that seems altruistic, but it’s business platform is opportunistic

Genius App 👏🏼. I have little time to read and when I do get to, I prefer a great thriller, mystery, crime, etc. So these summaries are extremely brilliant. Although “summaries” seems an understatement. These are not at all mini summaries that you get when reading the back cover of a book… but so much more! These chapter breakdowns of books on personal growth, productivity, psychology, happiness and joy, health and fitness, spirituality, and more are the books that are important to read but not my preference. With this app, I can read and/or listen to these motivating stories and profound books in about 10 minutes a day. I listen while driving or walking and… it’s sincerely a genius idea. A genius app.

Life changing. I decided recently to stop using social media and lessen my screen time, and I discovered this app which helped me stay on track with my goals. Instead of going to TikTok or other social media platforms I read instead in headway. I love reading books but I don’t have a so much time, if I decided to read the whole book my screen time will probably go up and I won’t be as productive. With book summaries I feel more satisfied with the amount of time I spend reading in this app. It’s not free but I think it’s a good investment for my lifestyle. I usually procrastinate and would be just scrolling through my phone but after adding headway as one of the apps to increase my productivity and less on procrastination. It’s definitely helped me and it’s a hobby now to open the app on the morning and read.

Terrible. I never leave bad reviews, as my business relies on reviews and it takes something seriously wrong for me to get this far. Not sure how these people are in business. I paid for the subscription and 2 other up sells. The short snippets are terrible and not very impactful, and the 2 up sells were a visual aid and a self reflecting journal, which are both outside of the app, like drop box files, and were not done very well. I reached out to support politely asking for a refund the same day I purchased it, saying it was not what I expected. They responded, one month later, saying they are closing my requests because they have become outdated, and if I need help, to reach out. That was their first response, it’s been so long they are just going to delete my support ticket, but if I still need help to let them know. If someone in charge reads this, feel free to reach out.

Wonderful option of your are busy!. Love this app I stumbled across! I am notoriously terrible at finishing books. There is always something else that needs to get done, or the fact that when I do read it is before bed and I fall sleep after a page or two. This app pulls the key points of the book and distills them into a 15-minute read or listen (think Cliff Notes from your high school days). At the end of the day, I get the benefits of so much information in the time I have available. Highly recommend for anyone that is short on time, or attention, but is seeking the opportunity for continued growth and self improvement.

Love This Learning Format. I was hesitant and thought this app was going to be like Audible where someone is reading you word for word a book (boring). I’m pleasantly surprised with this micro-learning format and summarized chapters because it’s straight to the point and easy to consume. I’ve had this app for 4 days and have consumed 4 books in less than 20 minutes. Sometimes it will take me an hour pausing to take notes, but still an entire self-help/motivational book in less than an hour?! How great for someone with a full-time job plus part-time content creator plus some other businesses. 10/10 recommend this app.

I feel like a sales rep for them. Love the app- big growth mentality kind of guy but also get lazy like anyone else… i want to sleep at the end of a busy day not read for 30 minutes to get one lesson… these straight to the point breakdowns leave me with the same inspired feeling i get from seminars and public speakers. The intentional delivery of the topics and lessons to be learned allow me to absorb all of the necessary info and carry it with me into the next days. So far i have primarily read Motivation, Self-Discipline, communication and relationship centered books! Hope this review helps- they know the 7 day trial will hook you but for this “power-reader” im glad it worked!

Informative, relatable and appliable. I love short self help lessons but most of them have many ambiguous examples that are hard to relate to, making it difficult to implement their premise in to my own life in an any type of easy or entry level sort of way, making the possibility of any transition highly improbable. So far I’ve heard only two books on this app and I have more notes and simple actions that I can take, at any time in my day, to actually start the process of positively changing my own life. I highly recommend this app to anyone struggling in any areas of their lives or even just want to become more intelligent and realistic about the unrealistic expectations and beliefs of this world. Great job!

Time Saver. I happened upon this app, after listening to an audiobook on self improvement. The audiobook took about 12 hours to complete. After downloading this app, I tested it by reading the summary of the book I just listen to. And I realized I could’ve saved myself 11 hours and 45 minutes. Since then, I have completed the summary of multiple self-help, self growth, and educational books. I would never have the time to complete all these in real life with my busy schedule. Any subject I want to dig deeper on, has links to buy the book being summarized. This app is a must have for busy schedules that want to improve their lives and streamline learning into small digestible chunks.

Worth its weight in GOLD!!. This app is just what I was looking for! As a person who breaks out in a cold sweat walking into a library or bookstore with all of the choices, I really love the quick summaries and easily digestible information chunks of each of the chapters. The “try this” at the conclusion is an easy way to test out the concepts in each book and see if the ideas resonate with you! If they do, then you know that book is worth the time to read all the way through. No more lost time and money reading books that will just be forgotten in a few days and collect dust on the shelf. Honestly, this app has changed my life for the better! Thanks for making it so great!!!

100% download. I saw this on the App Store as I was looking for an app that could help me improve myself, and I am SO glad I downloaded it. This app has a ton of book summaries and it breaks them down into bite size pieces so it’s really easy to understand the gist of a book. The coolest thing about this app, though, is that it’s made me start reading again. I actually bought a few of the books whose summaries I read in this app because I wanted to get the full experience, and I think this app really made me want to do that. I wouldn’t have bought and read actual self improvement books if I hadn’t first seen them here, so I’m really happy I found this app. It makes you appreciate good books and actually makes you WANT to read them, which is really cool. Definitely recommend

Pro tip: talk a walk with headway. Being an adult is hard. Sometimes I need to let go of all that I’m mentally holding together - headway is a great tool for that! Nothing feels safer than taking a walk with someone else’s voice in my head - offering a lesson learned or a new way of thinking. The subject doesn’t matter, the experience of letting go knowing whatever content I’m injesting or distracting myself with will help me grow and that in itself is a positive experience. When I feel I can control nothing around me, curating the voice and the stories coming in, brings me a sense of peace. Headway has been the healthiest escape and gift that keeps on giving! Thanks for making me smarter a few minutes at a time! 😁

Solid but could improve. I’m enjoying the summaries of the books included, and there are many, however… they include some editorializing in the summaries which is not useful and gives rise to suspicion they may be, even if inadvertently, editing the authors intended message throughout the rest of the summary. Regarding the audio versions, the human read summaries are well done and easy to follow, only occasionally using mismatched inflection or cadence. But the machine read summaries are of little value. The software’s attempts at inflection are more often wrong and the pacing/cadence of the reading often confuses or obscures the intended meaning of the text. The reminder cards, snippets of the summary are useful but would be better at bolstering retention if they were presented as a question, maybe fill-in-the-blank, instead of just the quote with no real recall required.

BEST AND MOST INSPIRING APP EVER. I have had this app for three days now and I ended up buying a premium subscription. It was very good on the free version because you’ll get a book recommend it to you every day for free. If you end up getting premium you can download your books and listen to them without internet. I personally use them while I take my dog on a walk in the woods where there’s no Internet connection. If you get it during the holiday season I got a 70% off discount from premium so it was really worth it. This app has tons of different challenges like the 28 day wealth challenge and hundreds of different books to either listen to, read from, or listen to while you’re following along. Are usually don’t write apps but I felt very inspired to do so. Thanks Headway for changing my life!

For the love of all that is good connect your email address. I paid for a yearly subscription and have loved using headway. Ive recommended it to so many people and I’ve been using for well over 100 days. I was signed in but I guess not enough?? I lost all my progress when I switched devices. It’s now almost annoying to go in and sift through all the books for what I have and haven’t read as well as see my progress in different challenges I had begun. If I’m signed in, it should automatically save the books I’ve read. If I sign onto instagram on my phone and then go on instagram on an iPad it doesn’t erase all the posts I’ve liked on the phone, right? This app should apply the same logic.

Fraud RE: Reminder to cancel. I signed up for the free trial and usually when I sign up for those I set several reminders in my phone since I have ADD and need a process in place. When I signed up for this app, there was language saying “don’t worry, we will send you reminders about when your trial period is ending“. That is a lie. God knows it sends 1, million notifications a day to continue your reading, but not a single one reminded me about my trial. I have disputed this with my credit card, but conveniently that language that they used and I relied upon to my detriment is nowhere to be found anymore. So I have absolutely no proof. So far I have had only experience with two books on this app, the power of now, which was summarized really really well, and the Make your bed title, which seems like it was distilled by a third grader. So if you feel like spending almost $100, be my guest, but it’s a mixed bag and you’d better be aware of when your trial ends YOURSELF.

I hate reading…. After years of trying to force myself to be a “reader”, I finally came to the conclusion that I am never going to enjoy it enough to be consistent. Perhaps it is a lack of patience or a lack of time, but I get weary from wading through all the fluff, you know… details, stories, background, (important stuff I am sure) most writers use to enhance the real meat and main points! I had given up. This app has given me renewed interest and the ability to absorb the info I want and appreciate in a timely and consistent way. I love the fact that I can track summaries I have read and can review the passages and points I have highlighted/saved.

Awesome App. So to be fully transparent, I did download this app and then deleted it once I saw it was going to cost money. But within a few minutes I re-downloaded it as I was struck by some of the reading topics I had seen at first glance. I thought what the heck I’ll try it for the free trial and then delete if I didn’t find it worth while. I am on day 4 and absolutely love this App. Wish I would have found this sooner. I am looking forward to the tools this has to offer for personal growth. Easy, convenient and can go to this throughout the day when I have a few minutes here and there. Allowing me to use my time more effectively. New year for a better me.

BEWARE OF SNEAKY CHARGES. As I was setting up my account, a pop up came onto my screen. It was advertising a specific category of reading materials. This was directly after purchasing a subscription and customizing to what your interests are. It did not make me aware that by pressing the CONTINUE button (which I assumed would take me to the content I had chosen for myself) you’d be subscribing to PAY for additional content. I pressed one button and somehow another $15 was charged. I don’t even know what I clicked on so I’m not sure if it’s useful at all to me. It didn’t have me double click the side button or use my Face ID or anything. One click and I was charged again for something I didn’t think I was even choosing. I sent an email DAYS ago and still there’s no response to it. I’m so frustrated that I haven’t even been able to use the app because I feel so swindled. For a self help, educational, personal growth app, it hasn’t inspired me to consume the content that they tricked me into buying.

Great spare time learning. This is a pretty great way to create some new ideas and learnings to peak your interest about stuff you’ve been curious about in the few minutes of free time you have between meetings, with your morning, coffee, on a short commute, or anywhere, really. I don’t feel like I’m an expert at investing after listening to a few book summaries, but I definitely have a better idea of where to direct my energy, for example. The only thing keeping this from being five stars is that so far it seems like there’s only one narrator, and he is probably from the Midwest and has a pretty strong accent, and I kind of wish there was a little bit more variety there for the readers. Plus, I think it’ll be really cool if there was a self quizzing option so you could test yourself on what you learned

Great app, just needs a few additions. I definitely enjoy this app. The first thing I did was review the summary of a few books I’ve already read, and I’d say the summaries are pretty close and cover the main material of the books. If you’re like me and can’t find the time to read an entire book within a reasonable time, this app is definitely for you. That being said, I still think there is room for improvement regarding features. Something I constantly find myself needing is a tab to make notes that I can refer to later. Also, being able to tab notes and highlights would go a long way. Overall, it’s great and will continue to re-purchase my subscription if they add these features!

Misleading Advertising. I keep seeing ads for personality tests in Instagram. However, to date I have not been able to find any personality tests in the app. It’s straight up false advertising. The book summaries are fine. However, I think an app like this is symptomatic of how our culture is losing its ability to think deeply. There is so much more that can be gained from sitting down and diving into a book instead of reading a bite-sized summary. So much is lost in summarizing a book. While the app makes a lot of promises about improving yourself, actually it’s just feeding the problem by having us treat learning as something shallow and quick, rather than something deep that requires commitment. I really only use the summaries to preview books, to decide if I am interested in actually buying the book to read more.

No free trial. Update: the developer reached out to me and obnoxiously insinuated that had I cancelled at least 24 hours before the 7 day trial had ended I would not have been charged. I love how people refuse to actually read or look into a situation. In fact I hit confirm on my 7 day trial and was charged that very moment. On day 1! I will advise you that unless you are ready to pay the full $80 right off the bat you don’t get a free trial or refund and if you complain they just end your subscription while still charging you. If you try and access you will get offers for 80% , 70%, 60% etc off. So I not only got ripped off for my $80 I could have only paid $30 for it? All I wanted to do was sample adding some simple audio books and activities to my life and now I’ve wasted 2 days trying to figure out how to get my money back and being informed there is a better rip off. Stay away

Needs work. I am not a book reader what SO EVER. So when I came across this (ig ad I believe) I thought why not try it. Will save me time in having to sit down and read an entire book. I get impatient what can I say. Things you guys can work on: the robotic voice when you do listen mode makes my head spin. Please improve by adding voice choices or just an alternative to that CREEPY robotic voice. AND Too many notifications!!!!!!! I’m swear almost every waking hour it was sending notifications to finish the book, finish your chapter. OK I get it!!! And forget using this app if you’d battery is less than 30%. My battery was draining so quickly and the app was glitching, not scrolling and getting stuck, couldn’t click on bookmarks either to save. Also the pricing model is confusing, if I would try to exit a free trial page another one would pop up and offer a lesser price. It was showing the pricing in too many ways.. weekly, monthly and yearly. Needs some refinement.

Expensive app for computerized voice talk. I downloaded this app for an interesting way to hear about some areas of life that I wanted to improve. My first day of listening I didn’t really notice that it was a computerized voice reading the information in the app. Day two I realized as the voice has no inflections and sounds like somebody just reading something without emotion. I decided that pain 3999 for three months was ridiculous and I’m trying to figure out how to get my money back on this app. I’ll doing so I noticed that they were offering other plans for the same three month premium level for 1999 so I don’t know what kind of scam this app is trying to pull one having different price points for the same duration of the subscription and to having an automated computer do the reading for the listen to portion of the app. I’m very disappointed in my spontaneous purchase of this app and wish I never purchased it

BUYER BE WARNED. This app is scam and definitely has predatory tactics to get more money out of you. Read the reviews about the “ free trials” I also encountered one of these tactics after buying a three month subscription. The next screen was trying to sell add ons for info graphics which was not at all clear. It seemed you could not move on to start doing the work on the app unless you clicked only one box. If you clicked that one box it automatically charged you more with no other page asking are you sure you want to add this to your subscription or check out page!! The skip I saw on the next page was way at the bottom in lightest gray possible. Scam! I can see from the other reviews the developer does not really care about the perception of the company or their customer’s experience. They just respond with we are in accordance with all the rules. For a better yourself growth app that’s ironic. We don’t care if it’s tricky as long as we don’t get in trouble. Way to raise the bar.🙄

AI generated summaries. I have been a little disappointed in this app. The concept is fantastic. However, there are a few things that could be improved. First, I was not expecting the summaries to be AI generated. This means the writing style is stilted and occasionally awkward. I’ve seen no evidence that a human reads the summaries or makes useful edits or corrections. Second, I have been disappointed in the selection. The bulk of the summaries are of self help books or pop psychology. Once you read a few, you realize that they aren’t very different from each other. Third, the options to give feedback at the end of the summaries is practically useless. You are given the option to rate a book 1 to 5 stars and then, based on your rating, you are given a very limited list of choices for why you chose the rating. If you choose 4 or 5 stars, you get the question “Why did you like it?” Your options are “straight to the point” or “useful information”. If you rate it 3 stars or below you get the question “ why didn’t you like it” and your options are “mistakes galore” or writing style”. There is no room for free type. Ultimately, I wish I hadn’t spent the money on a year subscription. I’ve read about 20 summaries and don’t see myself getting any real use out of what is being offered.

Very little diversity. The close knit family and healthy relationships challenges are all very heteronormative. In order to complete the challenge you have to listen to several books that don’t apply to you. There don’t seem to be any LGBTQ books (other than Untamed) or anything outside of the traditional family. I’d also like to see more booked by and about POC, offering up a personal growth opportunity to hear LGBTQ, BIPOC, and latinx stories. There is so much toxic information here. Many books telling women to keep their husband happy, to not expect much from them, but at the same time these books are read by men?! This app is great for getting a synopsis of books to know which to actually read, but it is not even close to the value that they charge you. Definitely regretting paying for the year subscription.

This was created for me.. I’m really not one to post reviews, specifically, this is the first one I’ve taken the time to write in the past decade that I’ve been an Apple user. That’s how much I’ve enjoyed using this app. As someone who grew up reading every chance they could, reality has hit and I’ve realized that I cannot keep up the same amount of reading as I once did. Using this app has slowly helped me strengthen my retention and focus while reducing the information overload usually presented with most books. I love listening to podcasts already and the listening feature the app offers is similar enough to where I can now absorb this information without having to be on my phone. All in all I can tell this will be a great tool in my life.

Needs a Tutorial. I like having books condensed for me because it’s nice to get the good highlights. What this app lacks though are clear instructions on how to use it. Not just HOW, but setting goals, why is there a 5 minute daily goal but I’m also challenged to finish 1 book a day? That’s more than 5 minutes of my time. Do I fail the challenge for not completing the book in 1 day but get a streak for doing 5 minutes? How does it all work together??? I feel that the developers can see how it would be simple to use, and it is… but I need to know from the goals I picked when setting up the app and the profile, am I following those goals? I feel like it asked for what I want to focus on, then just tossed me into the large pool and told me to figure out how to find the edge. And I can’t swim. Clear language and a task list related to the goals you defined. Plus, explanations on a daily time vs finishing a book. Also, better interface for navigating between screens. It took me forever to stop the playback on a book and get back to the main screen. This is where a tutorial on how to use the app would be beneficial. I literally feel like the creator doesn’t care about anyone who signs up, as long as they pay for the usage of the app. Do better - signed, an annual membership holder.

Worth the money. I usually avoid paying subscriptions at all cost, but I’m so glad I am using the paid version for this app. Every time I finished reading a nonfiction book I usually feel the ideas can be boiled down to about 15 pages but in order to make it a book, they filled it with lots and lots of stories which indeed made it fun to read but also takes lots of extra time to finish the reading while not every single one of the stories are that relevant. This app provides the exact service I need and safe so much time while getting the core ideas of these classic nonfiction books. there are a couple of books that cannot be summarized in a 15 minute reading then I can always choose to buy the actual books.

I think it’s a well worth app, if you enjoy reading topics that help you become better. Great app no matter what your self improvement goals might be. Interesting topics to read or listen to, on many different self help goals you may have put forth for yourself to work on and educate yourself on. Money management, better time management, people skills, family issues, healing from childhood trauma, improving your self esteem and your personal relationships. These are many different things that I think everyone can find something valuable to learn from on this app. It’s a bit pricey but knowledge is a great investment in yourself and your future I think.

Awesome app and fantastic alternative to scrolling!. What a great app! There are so many books I’ve wanted to read but the time it takes to read a whole book can be daunting. These summaries are short, sweet and give the perfect amount of info to familiarize yourself with a book and it’s message. You can choose to read the whole book after the summary or just benefit from the key points. The best part is it’s an alternative to scrolling. I still have my device and U’m reading but it’s short little bursts of excellent information v a bunch of junk I don’t need. I’ve been waiting for something like this to come along. I wish I found it sooner!

Best Investment to App to Yourself. I don’t read books because they are too long or aren’t straight to the point. Especially if I don’t have the time for it. I stumble across this app and decided to give it a try. The fee was something that stopped me at first but I decided to get it as an investment for myself. The books are easy to digest, informative, helpful, and fun. It’s the best purchase I’ve ever made. Definitely give it a try. I know reading isn’t for most people but think of it as a way to understand yourself and how to change your mind on the world around you. We are so consumed with useless information that we forget about ourselves. This app gives you necessary information about what you need in life.

For Busy People. I know what you’re thinking from the title. Everyone is busy so figure out a way to prioritize reading the whole book! Well, that’s fair, and what I mean by “for busy people” is that I try to utilize the things I learn about rest and productivity on a daily basis. Factor in work and hobbies and my whole day is packed. I love to read but it’s often challenging for me due to my neurodivergence and strict schedule (it helps the first thing). This app has allowed me to digest the core themes and points from each book that I’ve purchased and haven’t gotten to yet (which can make me feel guilty 🫠). It’s been very helpful in giving myself space and time to learn new ideas while making it easy and digestible. Bye bye guilt!

Not as diverse. I really enjoy some of these books, they are motivational and really uplift my mind. However, I often get very bummed out at the heteronormativity in some of these books, and it just feels a bit off. At first I said, whatever, they just want to get a point across, but it is very consistent, and what made me finally write this review is when one of the books made a sort of sexist comment. There are not really any LQBTQ+ books which would make this growth experience more comforting, or furthermore, more general comments that don’t directly point out female vs male “traits” and heterosexual relationships only. I am looking forward to getting through more books, but I always get thrown off when some of the readings make some of these comments. I hope to see more diversity in the way these stories are told, at least so anybody can hear/read them without feeling out of place.

Tricks you into paying. When you sign up the app says it will notify you multiple times when your free trial is about to end. I enabled push notifications but I received *zero,* absolutely no notifications of this. They really did not make it clear and easy to cancel at the end of trial, as they promised. I’ve emailed support for a refund but we’ll see if anything comes of that. The funny thing is, I actually liked the app, I’m just a little too busy and would have considered subscribing in the future. In this day and age, there’s no reason for these sneaky bait-and-switch billing tactics to subscribe, you can easily fix things with a pop up when you open the app, asking if you want to move over to paid subscription. This type of hidden billing should not be allowed on the App Store at all - it makes customers more reluctant to try new apps and damages the platform overall.

Excellent app! I use it daily. Only one complaint…. Overall, I love the Headway app. Not only has this saved me tons of time, but also has replaced many of the non-fiction books I used to purchase and never seemed to complete. My only complaint is that I wish there were more “visual explainers”!! These are one of the coolest parts of the app; it makes learning so dang effective. The ones in there are excellent; I only wish there were more of them. That would really take this app to the next level. Other than that, Headway has genuinely helped make me a better human. I’ve been learning everyday over my morning coffee. Useful in work, my personal life, and for generating cocktail party conversations.

Incredible Asset of an App. Can’t Wait for More Books to Develop on Here!. This might be an Audible killer. I love Audible, but the kinds of books I mainly read is self growth & development in many phases of life. Headway is allowing me to form a library of key messages and reminders from books that I don’t have spend hours upon hours of time just to finish a good read. Realistically we don’t have the time to finish a whole book. We don’t have to Headway every book of course, but there are more opportunities for shorter focused reads than entire books. I’m personally enjoying this for my active go go life. I can only hope that writers and the makers of headway accumulate as many books as possible on this app to provide shorter and focused reads for all.

I loved headway but.... 1. Can’t remove books from my library. It doesn’t work. Click the button and it does nothing. 2. Doesn’t keep track of where you are when using audio. 3....the most important and must be fixed....realize that not everyone is “Christian.” Realize that you have a lot of spiritual books in here and most spiritual people are not religious. So when I see a great looking book about good vibes or anxiety, I get excited only to read “God” in every paragraph. Lol are you kidding me??? MARK these books with genres. I shouldn’t have to be forced to read religious literature. At first I was letting it go until I got to one that was literally only bible verses and I was like “shut up already!” Geez. Couldn’t remove it from my library either. And oh yeah of course there’s no pagan books...the spirituality that was stolen by the Christians. Nice. You really need to Mark this as a religious Papp instead of trying to fool people. So offensive. I paid for this and am highly regretting it. Fix it PLEASE.

Tips for improvement. Hello, I have been using the headway app for a month now and so far I have enjoyed it very much. While many things about it are great I thought I could help point out a couple things to improve the headway iPad app. I think a great way to get ideas on how to improve the app id by looking at the “Books” app from apple. I’ve been using that for years and many its pretty amazing. Anyways, here are somethings I noticed: 1. iPad Landscape mode. This would be a great add since a lot of the iPad cases don’t allow you to place the iPad on portrait mode. 2. Font size at max seems to mess a lot of things. Line spacing is small. Highlight is hard seems like i need to point below the words for them to be selected. 3. Be consistent with font usage. I believe font consistency between paragraphs, quotes, and header might make it more visually plesuarable and easy to use. 4. Background color, the Books app from apple does a great job with this. It would be nice if you guys can add 2 more backgrounds. Black, and sand. 5. Highlight, i would also look into the Books app they do a great timed highlighting feature instead of highlighting something and showing a button. Also, sometimes when I highlight the button doesn’t show up. Sent from my iPad

Love it!. I have Lymes disease and Graves’ disease, both cause confusion and “brain fog”… not to mention the depression, guilt, trauma survival issues, and then a self esteem drop as my modeling career went down the drain, and the cherry on top… being abandoned by my daughters father in NYC during the pandemic, she was only 1yrs old but she knew what he was doing and was crying and trying to bring his bags back in…. I’m terrified I need to get myself together fast please please please do the trick I am trying hard and do extra work when possible. I need a job in NYC, Bronx Area so that I can take care of my daughter. This app taught me things to teach her and work with her for self esteem and money relationships. I really do like this app, I feel like I’m doing something good for myself. Thank you

Fantastic!. I have never been one to enjoy “self-help” books. As much as they intrigue me, reading cover to cover never happens. I often times get bored halfway through or annoyed with the repetitive information throughout the book, even when that info is extremely insightful. Headway gives me the opportunity to get the information as bullet points (shoot-me-straight-bc-I-don’t-have-time), and fluff free. I have learned SO much with this app. I feel I'm bettering myself daily in only a few short minutes rather than spending hours of reading. So, If you’re short on time, and you want to understand and better yourself on the reg, this app is for you!

It’s Cliff Notes for the professional. So far, great range of books. The audio option means I can plug it into my car on the way to work, although I would like a way to skip back a paragraph rather than a whole chapter. I generally still take notes or return to a book - nothing takes very long as each book takes less than 20 minutes to complete, typically a good deal less. Also, I’ve been driven to find the full book at the library or order online when I want to learn more. As a recovering compulsive book-buyer, I’ve found this app helps me get through what end up being “one idea books” quickly and without blowing $20. Totally worth it for those with a desire to learn but without a ton of time or an ability to read quickly.
