Tech support is the worst of any app I use. I contacted customer service when o was charged 2.99 for over a year for an allegedly free application. The app refused to return my money. Then I tried tech support to fix it. They gave me the same exact instructions as are listed on the site. Wrote back to save instructions were worthless. No one at company is willing to help. They claimed m not to have phone numbers or supervisors. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER AND TECH SUPPORT.

Unreliable app support. I have corresponded with support. Each response has some text, however in the space aside and/or below ‘resolution’ there is only empty space. Each of these responses is a followed up by mail that says support has not received a reply to their resolution; therefore, they say, my case is being closed. I send another and another and get the same result. My account was canceled last week and reinstated on the same day, without explanation. All my data was deleted.

Increases your spam calls. I downloaded this and got zero spam calls when I had the free trial….. couple days after my card was charged I got seven spam calls in one day (when I DID have call blocking enabled and followed the instructions you’re supposed to try the blocking doesn’t work). I’ve never gotten that many spam calls in one day ever. Seems suspiciously like they gave out my number to spam callers and then didn’t bother to block them.

White Screen. Just installed app, did setup then all crashed. When. Starting the app now on iPhone 15 Pro Max get a blank white screen.

Does absolutely nothing. I’ve been getting over 10 calls a day for weeks. I decided to download this and paid for it. You have to put in the numbers manually for it to block. The issue is that a different robo number calls me every time. What’s the point of this app if they can’t screen the calls before my phone does? All it does is block those calls after I take the time to manually put it in. I can do that on my phone too. This is worthless!

It does nothing. This app does nothing. I’m in the 7 day free trial and I am still getting spam calls everyday. The app appears to do nothing. When I report a call as spam from my iPhone call history I have to report the call twice. And the business of categorizing the call as a scam or solicitation, etc… I don’t know what they want. I don’t answer. I thought the app was going to block/silence all suspected spam calls so I don’t have to be interrupted with my phone ringing. But my phone is still ringing! I don’t understand the benefit of this app.

Cannot get this to work on iPhone 12. I bought and paid for this 4 times yet it would still not allow me to block any calls. Every time I tried to turn on blocking, it asked me to subscribe to the service. Total rip-off. The developers responded by telling me to restore my purchase which I have tried to do repeatedly with no success. Their email support keeps saying I haven’t responded when I have twice. I’m still paying for an app that doesn’t work. I’m still not changing my review because now all I’m getting is emails telling me that if I don’t reply, they are going to close my case. I have replied to every single one and I still get nowhere. This may be a good app but the support is awful. I have officially given up and I am deleting the app.

General. Your app is doing a very good job 👏 in blocking telemarketer calls I get 1-800 calls every whip-stitch; however, some of them could be debt collector calls, but I consider them in the category of Nuisance calls it doesn’t matter even political calls are in the same category. Keep up the good work. 🙂

This app is a scam.. I downloaded and purchased the upgraded version of the app. Once purchased; I was not able to access the settings that were supposed to be available. I messaged customer service and received a response that I needed to download Hotspot Shield for this app to work. I’m suspecting you have to pay for that app to work to. No where in the apps description or before purchasing that they tell you this. Do not download this scam of an app!

Robo Caller. I just wanted to say thank you for the support and a great job you all did for me and everyone else who uses this app it has many options to choose from but it is very efficient and I will enjoy the freedom of all the calls I am now not going to get and the support of my connection is going to be a very good part about it. Thank you again for your help today and you all please do me a favour for me and your friends and family and everyone else out there please take care of yourself and your loved ones but be extra precautions to help me you and everyone else I would appreciate it more than you all realize.

Terrible app for iPhone15. I’ve missed so many important messages because I have a blank white screen. I’m too busy to try to troubleshoot this issue (I work 8-5 w/overtime hours and an hour drive time both ways. I also have 3 kids who need my time instead of my phone) The point is, I have a busy life and depend on these things that I was paying for, I cancelled my subscription, to make life run smoothly.

Update no work. The app will not even open properly and the calls are streaming in. Call forwarding “feature” seems like a bug.

Blank screen. After paying for the app subscription, it doesn’t stop spam calls from ringing, and I get a blank screen when I open the app. Don’t buy this app. Feels like a scam.

Don’t like the update. It lets spam calls go through.

Can’t even accept the terms. I always read the terms and conditions and read the privacy policy. Which when I read their terms they did something that most don’t do which is extremely refreshing...the break down the policy in “normal people” words. Unfortunately, it won’t let me click accept terms. I’ve tried closing, reopening, I’ve tried it all...haven’t even been able to test it out. I have a screenshot but reviews won’t let me post

Total lack of customer support. I had what I think is a fairly simple question, but the only responses I ever get after emailing customer support are along the lines of “We hope you’ve had a chance to review our response and will be closing the request,” to which I reply “no, there has been no response at all,” to which I get the same reply. And again, and again, so I give up. The app doesn’t do anything as far as I can see, but I guess I’m not surprised, given the company doesn’t know how email works.

Average- not impressed with the makers. Let’s start with the fact that it says 49 days free but only gives you 7….? I am looking specifically for a call blocker that blocks any number who comes up as a bill collector. This one company keeps calling me and they call from a different number every single time so I cannot block them. This app does not do that. If you can identify the name of the company by caller ID why can you not block it. My next thing… read their FAQs on their app… the improper English is driving me nuts. Like “why is Robo shield is not blocking…” the second is … not necessary. And it’s in multiple questions. I get that this review isn’t 100% business professional but I’m not trying to sell you anything am I?

R. This App is great and works well for me. It knows when a junk call comes in it’s silenced. The banner pops up on the screen and I can tell who’s calling. I do run the numbers to see who’s number some times it knows & others they don’t. So I block them. If it was important that they contact me the business that I deal with have my email.

Get blank screen when opening the app. Tried to open the app to adjust settings and just get a white screen. Have restarted the phone and cannot get the app to open. I’ve been paying for a subscription and realized it wasn’t turned on and now I’m trying to set it up, it’s not working.

Can’t enable categories. I’d love for this app to work, but even though I have a premium subscription—verified numerous times through my iOS settings—the app won’t allow me to enable any call categories: I get a popup saying I need a premium subscription. On the popup, if I tap Purchase Subscription, iOS tells me (rightly so) that I’m already subscribed. So, I’m stuck. I give it 2 stars because their support has been good, but we’ve been messing with this for a couple of weeks. Just can’t keep trying to debug this issue.

Waste of money. Doesn’t working. Never been working:( I have a premium subscription, but the app every morning asking about subscribing again and turning off all switches and doesn’t block spam automatically. I’ve used for a 6 month and nothing changed. I tried to connect to support twice and nothing, they only recommended to reinstall the app and it doesn’t help and just erase my database of blocked phone numbers. Waste of money. Not recommended

Needs iOS 14 update. There are a few issues with the app on iOS 14. The main one and the most annoying by far is the system notifications saying "Robo shield pasted from x location," meaning the app is reading my clipboard in the background. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that they're scanning for phone numbers to block, but still, it's suspicious, unnecessary, and annoying. I even turned off background refresh for the app in iOS settings, but the notifications keep coming somehow. Hopefully, they can remove this behavior soon.

DOES NOT WORK. I’ve been using RoboShield for the better part of a week, and I still receive spam and telemarketing calls regularly. Even when the app detects them as such, I have to manually report and block every number. The app will not block the calls on its own, as one would expect from such an app. This has to be the most worthless app I’ve ever used, and is more of a scam than anything else. You might as well just light your money on fire, and hope for the best.

Okay, not great support. The app doesn’t have the best user experience and doesn’t behave well with Apple integrations. Requires you to open the app for updates. Asks you to purchase premium service even if you’re already subscribed. Response time from support could be better. I’m trying another service now.

Update ruined app. Canceled subscription. This app is worthless to me now. You used to be able to type in any number to look up. Now you can only look up numbers that have contacted you. Very strange to cut that ability. Anyway, lost my biz :)

My 8 year old must have left a bad review. I got an email concerning a bad review for this app in which I have never used. It seems my 8 year old not only downloaded this app but left a bad review. His review “Do not get it, it dose not work the same people call me.” I’ll ask him in the morning but I’m sure it’s him because of his spelling of “does.” His intentions were good as I do get a lot of spam calls. Maybe I’ll try the app out anyway. I changed the review to 5 stars as I can’t figure out how to delete the review.

Worse than useless. After iOS 17 the app presents with a purple screen and white logo only. No interaction is possible despite premium subscrition. Deleted and reinstalled with no change. DO NOT GET THIS APP !!! IT IS WORSE THAN USELESS !!!

Did not work for me. Used this app for 1.5 months and didn’t see any difference in spam calls coming through. Even ones marked by my carrier as “scam likely” continued to ring. I’m also a data nerd so I have numbers to back it up. In the month prior to having the app I had 68 spam calls. In the following month, 64. And in the last 2 weeks, 35. I do not recommend it; I will be trying other apps.

Black screen. Update the app so we can go in it..

Breath of fresh air. I’ve been a loyal user of Hotspot Shield for many years so I was happy to hear when they released Robo Shield. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and it does seem to fix this huge problem of getting spam calls. I used to get at least 5 of these a day and now I don’t get any at all.

Blank screen. The inbound call feature seems to work okay, but when I open the app to see the calls missed all I get is a blank white screen. Not helpful. I’ve deleted and reloaded the app only to get the same thing. This needs to be fixed or I need a refund and I’ll go back to my other spam blocker.

App resets to default every day, turns off all call blocking. Every day I have to manually open this app in order for it to recognize my premium subscription. It says “upgrade to premium” before recognizing that I’m a subscriber 2 seconds later. It automatically switches off call blocking everyday. I have to MANUALLY set it every morning. I talked to support and they sent a message back 5 days later saying, “We double-checked that you are a premium subscriber and you are, so it’s impossible that this would happen to you!” Except... it is happening to me... Hopefully a 1 star review will convince them? Consumers have little recourse these days lol

Worked a few days in the trial then stopped. During the trial period I was shut out with the notice to subscribe. My account show I have a trial subscription for three more of the seven days. Contacted support and they gave me a long list of items to do or submit to prove I have a trial subscription. Deleted and reinstalled which didn’t help. Cancelled and resubscribed. Still doesn’t work; keeps telling me to subscribe. Gave up to try a different program that works.

Bait & Switch. Just another Bait and Switch app “FREE”!! to d/l yet is nothing more to d/l something to use up more space 😂 $13/subscription to get a working app 🤣 How many apps have I seen who do the same B/S I have one that is ok, & IT IS “FREE” no subscription to have to do to use the app It even reminds you that you need to update it so it can help keep you safe from calls The other app doesn’t get them all, but when I 1st d/l’d it I went from 8 calls to 0 You can add numbers to be blocked This one I got real uneasy when I read the terms & policy I don’t want someone tracking my calls That is 🐃 💩 saying it is to id you and we use the information to help make the app better 🤣 Man if you can read between the lines on that you need to be USED Have no intention of even clicking agree with the T&P cause it’s not safe I stick to my app I have not this one This is like the saying goes “Buyer Be Ware” !!!

Delete app. Wish I new how to delete this app. I don’t like it. Horrible app. All I get is a blank screen.

Still getting calls and the app won’t even open!. So far not impressed. I signed up, did all the work of setting it up in my phone and letting it access all my contacts and all that. Now I can’t even get the app to open again and I keep getting sales calls!!! What the heck?! This app doesn’t work at all. It won’t recognize my monthly subscription and won’t let me block any calls. I hate this app. I’m going to try one that actually works.

So far not an auspicious beginning. After installation and configuration, when I launch the app I am greeted by a blank screen! iOS 17.3

Truly did nothing. I don’t understand how this app has so many positive reviews. I recently stopped subscribing to another app that suddenly required me to block unknown caller numbers (a shortsighted non-solution, as many important callers simply hang up rather than give their information) to achieve the basic functionality I’d been using for years. I am interrupted by at least a dozen spam calls per week, and even after thorough setup, this app did nothing to block or warn me about those calls. Reporting and blocking spam calls was unnecessarily laborious: rather than simply sharing the number with the app, you have to copy the number from your log, separately open the app, paste the number into the search function, and then complete the steps. I definitely don’t recommend the initial paid tier of this app, and have no interest in test driving the wildly expensive version.

Doesn’t Block All. For a paid app, I am disappointed. I still get 3-4 solicitations per day even though I put the setting nags to block as much as possible. Disappointed that the app doesn’t block random numbers. Needs a setting to block all numbers that are not identified in the iPhone contacts. I will discontinue my subscription because I am not willing to pay to beta test someone’s app.

Finally, no more spam call!!!. I’ve been getting so sick of spam calls lately and was in desperate need of a simple solution. Robo Shield lived up to its promise — the number of robo calls I’ve gotten has decreased significantly since using the app! I actually feel like I can answer unknown calls now without fearing it’s a scammer. Highly recommended.

GARBAGE. Look at the other reviews. Every 5 star is some random dribble bought by the devs so that they can bump their rating. ITS A SCAM. Save yourself the time and the money, I literally had customer service shrug their shoulders at me when I asked them why my premium services aren’t working. You’re telling me I PAID money to have nothing happen? What an absolute joke, Apple shame on you for not having better oversight over your app store. I hope Sweeney opens up his own shop, losers.

Hoped for better. I’ve had this for about a month now. Downloaded with the hopes that it would help with the ridiculous amount of spam calls I’ve been getting lately. I was so desperate I even paid for the upgraded version. I’m STILL receiving spam calls. I add numbers to the spam list all the time and I still get called at least 3 times a day. Really wished this worked better.

It just doesn’t work. So I purchased a Robo Shield instead of getting one of the free apps expecting to have a significant reduction in the number of scam phone calls and texts that I receive. In fact I’m getting as many texts and scam phone calls as I ever did. And if the only way this program works is from my relentless effort to record and block every phone call and text that I receive then it’s just a waste of my time because new numbers are always showing up. This program does not save me time it takes more of my time managing the blocked phone calls and texts, and it still doesn’t work.

Bait and switch and doesn’t even work. This app is just as much of a scam as the call that it acts like it is going to block. The app hasn’t blocked a single call. It’s really not that hard, it’s always the same number with the last four digits changed, how hard can that be to pick up on? App makes you think it’s free by not having a purchase price but then forces you to subscribe on order to use any features. Devs: be an honest company and just charge for the app. Don’t be the sleazy people who trick users into paying.

Missleading. Most of the time the ad says right on the main page to cost money I didn’t read in to the second page on this one and it’s a subscription app you get seven day trial well I’m not paying for this I never got to try the Apple actual satellite on the front page in app purchase because that is definitely an in app purchase

Giving no info no longer blocking. I’ve been using Roboshield Premium for about a year. Each time I attempt to reverse look up a number, I get unknown. I’m able to block the calls but I can do that from my phone. There’s no incentive here for the consumer. When reporting a call, the consumer isn’t communicated with about how the company handles the reports. To be honest, it just doesn’t offer anything. Looking for another alternative as I’ve been hoping for change to long.

Blank screen. I also have run through the configuration and also get a blank screen when I launch the app! iOS 17.4

Love Robo Shield!. I was on MR. Number for a year. At first, I only received a few spam calls a day. As the year progressed, it advance to about 10 to 12 spam calls a day! I switched to Robo Shield 2 months ago and only receive an average of 0-2 calls per day. If this continues, I will stay with Robo Shield. Bottom line, so far their advertising claims seem to be as accurate as advertising claims can be in this competitive environment.

The new app is absolutely terrible. If you at all appreciated the features of RoboShield before, this app is no longer for you! I’ve not received a voicemail in weeks and the app does not work beyond “dial for call forwarding!” There is no way for me to even get back to my voicemail that is being held hostage. I thought it was strange no one has left me a voicemail in forever but my mailbox is entirely empty.

App does nothing. Has not blocked or identified a single spam call. Settings randomly shut off. Restore purchase feature always unsuccessful. Contact support does not work. In short, it does nothing.

Useless. THATS ALL I CAN TELL…

Barely functional. App will randomly turn off all blocking, lose your subscription requiring you to uninstall and cancel the subscription, then reinstall and resubscribe. When it works it works, but it mostly doesn’t. Ive reported this app to Apple as it violates the tos under broken app. The more people that report it the sooner this unresponsive developer will have their app removed prompting them to actually fix it.

Disappointing!. This app did not result in any noticeable reduction in spam calls. The free version didn’t do anything and the paid version didn’t either. Would have been happy to spend $3.99 month for a real solution but this was not it.

Doesn’t block numbers. Ive gotten the same spam calls after installing this. And it looks like i have to manually enter each number i want blocked. My phone does that on it’s own. This doesnt block robo calls, or the spam voip calls.

Not working. Not let me set it up, didn’t get thru my phone number set up telling me its a wrong phone number format !!

Subscribed a few months didn’t stop anything. Subscribed, followed all the install procedures turned all the switches had it fully integrated into my phone settings and security settings and I’ve gotten over a dozen Robo calls since then calls from Russia, Bangladesh, China, didn’t stop anything not one.

Can not even get the verification code. I am trying to install this app and can’t even get code for verification. My number was spoofed May be someone added it in the database. What’s the best way to get correct it and get the code ?

Does not work. Received an unknown call 5 minutes after installing and following the instructions to let the app manager my calls in iOS settings. Should have been tipped off when an anti-spam app has a spam comment at the top of their reviews and replied to the comment with a preformed response. Not worth the money when iOS already has an option to block unknown callers.

Great robocall blocking app. Would recommend to anyone that gets those annoying robocalls!

Spam experience. What good does it do me to have my phone ring and than tell me it is likely spam? I still need to take my phone out of my pocket to see who’s calling 10-15 times a day. A lot with local area codes.

Premium support doesn’t work. Would be nice if the actual bundle package works as advertised. I’ve reached out numerous times to their “support team.” All they do is copy and paste the same “resolution,” over and over! No matter what I tell them, they just reinsert the same solution so clearly, their service just doesn’t care.

Life saver. Already flagged a bunch of spam calls. This app is awesome. Where have you been all my life!!!

Be careful. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get a refund from this app that did NOT block the numbers I had entered. I deleted app two days after I downloaded it because it wasn’t working. went into unsubscribe thinking I’ll be fine. They ended still charging and not willing to refund. I genuinely pay attention to pay after trials and I’m willing. But this is not worth a dollar. Thanks for reading.

Waste of money!. It didn’t work when I had the free version, so I hoped it would after I upgraded to the premium version... but I’m still getting spam calls and texts every day (even ones my iPhone flags as “spam risk” or “telemarketer”). Doesn’t seem to filter anything at all.

Doesn’t work. Did not block any spam. Customer service is worthless. Initially I was told I didn’t have an account so I sent a copy of my subscription receipt. In response they sent a link to an article I read numerous times (the instructions in the article did not rectify the problem which is why I contacted support in the first place).

Robo shield protection. I feel so much better having the shield watch my back.

Best Robo call blocking app ever. This App is amazing!!!!! It works like a charm and also blocks a bunch of annoying calls. This was a life changer for me. I highly recommend it.

Closed my ticket asking for help. I loved robo shield and have been subscribing to premium for over a year. It suddenly stopped working when I upgraded my phone. It kept saying I was subscribed, but never activated my premium subscription. I used the contact for to ask for help, and they closed the ticket without responding. What a shame they couldn’t be bothered to help a loyal subscriber. There’s no reason to treat a customer this way.

Money for nothing. So far it hasn’t done a thing and I paid the price for the extended version. Actually seems like I’m getting even more calls since I installed the app.

Does not work to get unwanted calls. Don’t waste your time or money nothing changed still getting calls from my western time zone while I’m in eastern time zone they want you to do all the heavy work with updating all the numbers and responding to their questions all the time. waste of time

Robo shield is not catching text messages that are spam. I went to all the correct settings I even added the shortcut to identify unknown text messages and I am very unhappy with the purchase. Reached out several times today on their support chat and they’re not even responding to that

Doesn’t make a dent in the spam calls. Even after paying the premium and adding every kind of caller to the list in settings for it to filter out, I haven’t seen any significant decrease in spam calls. Don’t waste your money on this snake oil.

Lied about the free trial duration.. When you install the app for the first time, and you run though the setup, it wants you to subscribe for 2.99mo. That’s fine. However it says “start your 49-day free trial”. After I click on subscribe now it says 1 week trial. Last I heard, there is not 49 days in a week. So is this app just a scam? Update: on top of the 49 day free trial scam, the app it self doesn’t block or notify you of scammers.

Block activation. Great, but it takes too long for block to be activated. Thank you.

Just didn’t work for me. Didn’t block a single spam call over the 7 day subscription trial. Kept reporting and adding to the block list. Also, adding to the block list is really cumbersome. The share to app does nothing. Reporting opens a blank page. I had to copy and paste the number to block. Deleted.

Spam. This is the best way to keep in control of it.

Features are limited for the cost. I don’t like the fact that I need to manually enter the phone numbers I want blocked. I’m not going to pay excessive prices to get a basic service.

Finally a great solution!. Thanks to robo shield, I now no longer get spam or telemarking calls, and also am protected from scammers! 10/10 would recommended.. the only time I want spam is in my masubis.

MONEY SCAM. I’ve paid the 2.99 as I was supposed to. Your app does not work, it keeps telling me to subscribe, subscribe, subscribe. I have paid you, your app does not work, there is no way to get in touch with anyone. If I could leave less than 1 star, I would. What a JOKE. I will be uninstalling and cancelling. Too bad I can’t get my money back because you deserve nothing.

It didn’t work well with my iPhone 11 Max Pro. Of the - 5 unwanted calls I received, only 1 I could tag as SPAM, 3 others would crash the app; it seems the Info “I’ button was too close to the “Delete “ option when trying to tag the call as SPAM etc could only once mark it as SPAM

Ineffective. Bad customer service. Updating this review after using the app for a month. No discernible improvement in spam calls or text message blocking. Customer support is definitely poor. Did not honor the trial period displayed in the app despite a long back-and-forth with their customer support team. Buyer beware.

Doesn’t do anything. You still have to manually block all calls and numbers. The only thing this app does is keep a list of the blocked numbers but doesn’t actually do anything about it.

Really?!. Can’t really tell anything about the app, course never past the text to verify. Update: remove it, and reinstalled-working now, with some bugs. Didn’t test it yet.

Still get SPAM calls. Don’t think you won’t get spam calls or texts just because you have this app. I still get a lot each day. With the app installed

Expected better. Still receiving multiple unwanted calls per day despite using the paid robi shield app. Less than before I got the app, but I expected better to be honest.

Be careful. I read the good reviews and installed the product, then bought the $2.99 subscription thru my Apple iPhone, the subscription showed up on the iPhone subscriptions. I could not get it to accept switching on “groups” and it would only send me back to the subscriptions purchase page. When I contacted the vendor they sent a list of items for me to prove that I had bought the subscription when Apple showed that I had done so. Nope. I did not select it to expose more information. I cancelled the subscription and delected the app.

Everyday calls from scammers I don’t know 🤔. Sure hope this stops all them crazy speaking ppl

FINALLY. Robocalls are nerve wrecking. Buying this for myself, my mom, friend — and my even barber. Because that’s how annoying these calls are.

Reporting broken on iOS 14. The service filters well, but it’s difficult to report from the phone history. Swiping left brings up both delete and report and usually just deletes. If I manage to report, the app usually crashes.

Disappointed. I had expected to know the annoying callers, but when I look up a number, you ask me questions if this was a robocall yes or no? I expect answers not questions. You are asking me exactly the question I would like you to answer

Ok then.. Two minutes after I downloaded this app. I received a unwanted call. The call I received was the biggest reason that I downloaded this app. It’s a Robo call telling me that my cars warranty is about to run out and try to get me to. Renew it. By the way. My cars warranty ran out a decade ago. So yeah. I’ll be deleting this app. 😂😂😂

Doesn’t filter any Robo calls!. Since I got the app I have gotten as many calls from scammer as I did before and since they change numbers ( same message in van and text) I have to block each one . Makes no sense to use this app
