Pushcut: Shortcuts Automation Comments & Reviews 2024

💸 Want to send money abroad for free?

We transfer money over €4 billion every month. We enable individual and business accounts to save 4 million Euros on bank transfer fees. Want to send free money abroad or transfer money abroad for free? Free international money transfer!

Can’t agree to privacy policy.. Uninstalled before I ever tried it. Might be good but I’m not selling my letting my self be tracked where ever I go for a little convenience.

I love it! Please make Siri Shortcuts available on Mac!!!. Excellent! I have had so much fun with Siri Shortcuts the last couple of days. I’m still learning more about it everyday. There are a few issues with Siri- she is stuttering a bit sometimes and automations occasionally doesn’t work. Besides that, the app is great. I have scheduled Siri to announce tomorrow’s meetings before bedtime and Siri wakes me up with my music playlist. I just love that I have more control now!! Please make the app available on Mac!! I would love to be able to do what I do on my iPhone to my laptop

Background triggers require dedicated device. Location-based background triggers only work if you have a dedicated iOS device to run as a server. $18/yr for premium would be fine, but that requirement is expensive and feels unnecessary: why does my phone need to connect to another device to run a shortcut that will toggle alarms (as in my phone clock, not security) off or on based on location? --- Response: Unless I'm missing something, without a dedicated device, the location-based triggers only send a notification that you have to interact with in order to run the shortcut. That's the same functionality as the Shortcuts app, which makes this superfluous for my use case.

Mediocre at best. At first thought the app was perfect. The webhooks work great! But then you realize its just another get rich quick scheme and requires a SUBSCRIPTION to get any real use out of it. If it would be like 5 dollars and a one time purchase thatd be different. But the fact that you have to subscribe to the service is kind of ridiculous

doesnt work :/. evetytimr I create an app I click on it afterwards and it says "open app failed cause the app could not be opened." please make your apps work I want an aesthetic phone not more random apps that don't work.

Powerful. Very powerful automation app. The simple stuff is easy. But it has hooks to use just about every other service. You can easily spend days building super complex automation via Pushcut.

Useless. They require a subscription for any basic uses of this app. At least we should be able to use the basic features without a subscription. Money should be optional. The devs don't know the first thing about making a functional subscription service. Edit: last time I checked, the input parameters are blocked without a pro subscription.

Who knows, can’t use it no instructions. More and more these perfectly advertised apps that will help people just “do” things without spending a day in a “learning curve” rabbit hole to do baby’s first shortcut. I rejected shortcuts because you need to know more than the average person to make sense of it’s process. It does things, but explains nothing. Useless. I am involved in a career where my logic skills drive the work. As a teacher, it’s infuriating to know how many people are definitely paying for a great reviewed product, that I believe works. But this “figure it out yourself” approach with limited or help disguised as not real help? It needs to work OUT OF THE BOX.

Changed how I use Shortcuts. The new automation server has changed how I use shortcuts and made parts of my work automatically and invisibly complete on their own. It’s awesome! Definitely worth the price and then some.

Push notifications not reliable enough. Attended to use api calls for push notifications on important appointments and it just wasn’t reliable enough. The Power Automate ran as expected but the sound alerts didn’t regularly work. I had to switch to an SMS service for now.

Use HomeKit? You need this app!. This is app is a must for next level home automation with Apple HomeKit. Take some time to research the app and its possibilities. You won’t be disappointed. In addition, the developer seems to be a wonderful person who really cares about about your home automation needs. You won’t be disappointed.

Day 1. Loving it already! Will most likely pay for upgrade soon but the free version does a ton already :)

Features hidden behind IAP even after $38 Lifetime license purchase. This app has the ability to solve major issues with Siri Shortcuts and automations which is why I was willing to pay almost $40 for a lifetime license. However the main feature that most people would want/need requires an additional monthly/annual subscription on top of the lifetime license. Scheduling a one-time server execution/action for a specific date and time should not be behind an additional pay wall for people who already purchased lifetime licenses. Nearly every other “pro” feature of the lifetime license in this app is able to be accomplished by other workarounds or natively in iOS. The one problem it could actually solve, is deceptively locked behind an expensive monthly IAP. 🙄

App is critical to my every day life. If it ever went away I'd prob have to go away too

Super powerful. Amazing what this app unlocks and allows with Shotcuts and HomeKit. There really isn’t any limit to what you can do

Scam…. When you are in a hardware store, you can see the product in its full form before purchasing it. Developers, unfortunately, are far too comfortable to lock their products behind a wall so you can’t even experience it without paying. This app supposedly lets you make widgets, but except for marketing images, one has no idea how you go about making them. The product is the widget. So don’t let me put the widget on the Homescreen. But, I’d like to experience the UX behind creating it before I spend any money. Maybe the widget look nice, but are far too difficult to create.

Fills a currently missing Shortcuts capability for me. Time and location based triggering has been one of the biggest frustrations I’ve had when using Shortcuts. Having a great automated work flow is fantastic but what I need is those things to happen without me thinking about it more than anything else. Pushcut helps to fill that hole for me by giving me time and location based triggers (extra points for being able to combine them). This need for me has been strong enough that I paid for the Prod subscription even knowing that there are some of these capabilities coming in the iOS 13 updates. I expect the developer will continue to offer capabilities in this app going forward that enable advanced usability even after the new Shortcuts capabilities are added. Third-party developers have always been a step ahead when it comes to iOS automation and pushing the bounds and I’m happy to be able to support such a useful tool to keep those boundaries being pushed.

Sits on preparing account forever. Can’t start the app

Help!!. I need major help. First of all, can you change app icons? If so, then HOW DO YOU DO IT PLEASE I NEED TO KNOW 😭😭😭

Janeiris. Heldveldvf

No triggers. Can’t make custom triggers, this is only good if you want notifications

5 star. ITS REALLY GOOD ILSM🩰🍼🙈

Great for only single actions!. I know a developer should have limitations when it comes to needing money, but it does everything that I need when it comes to making basic notifications. Only suggestion that I have is that there should be in is a help section. At first, I didn’t know how to push the notification out, but I know how to now from using your site. Please be sure to include a help section for those who don’t know how to instead of either writing a bad review or doing one extra step and have to go to your site to do so. Great app though! Very convenient now so I can automatically backup shortcuts everyday :)

Automation Server. I like the new experimental server option. Running an action without user interaction is quite liberating. Would like to see Apple make it possible to toggle off the restriction that cripples true automation. Right now the only way to execute these automations, is by tapping on a notification. I think we need both options. Love your app.

PushCut makes HomeKit automation useful in the real world. HomeKit’s automation feature is still a puzzle and somewhat limited. PushCut picks up where Apple fell short. The notification feature is really capable when combine with Shortcuts and Home App’s automations. But, the learning curve is pretty steep. PushCut should have built-in animated diagrams explaining how all this work and I can bet that if they do this, this app’s user base would easily double in no time. They really tried to incorporate the same UI language Apple uses with Shortcuts, which is very good. But, this type of “configuration” language is very limiting to the normal user who needs to do quite a lot of tests, trial and error, in order to find out the real power of being able to automate shortcuts. I only expect things to get better form here.

Can’t even use it. If you are actually any good at shortcuts, you’d know that the automation feature isn’t so good. This app does the same thing, but you need to pay and even then you’ll have to either pay $38 for most of the features or do a subscription. If you don’t pay you only can get a notification when one of your shortcuts finishes. You can only use it if you pay! This is a great idea, I love the app and everything about it. The only problem is that this app is the only app of its kind; this gives you the negative reviews you get because shortcut developers want to use the automation feature; but it works 20% of the time. So the shortcuts developer community is stuck between paying or getting garbage quality

Excellent notification service with many use-cases. Pushcut is my favorite of the many available notification apps/services. I use it to improve upon HomeKit’s limited notification granularity. I also use it for notifying me of events on my Linux server, like a site update deployment. There are myriad possibilities. Also: ignore the one-star reviews from people mad about the pricing model. I think by now any intelligent person who’s paid attention to the ios app economy knows it’s hard for indie developers to make enough money to sustain a project, and personally I’d rather the developers of the apps I use and love not decide they can’t afford to keep putting time into something that’s not sustainable for them. It’s a great app, I use its functionality multiple times per day, and I hope it continues to be viable for the developer.

Loading to Long. When I downloaded it it said it wanted to access my data and made me click accept policy so I clicked it and it took HOURS to load the data, and it’s still loading

Lack s information. Offers a trial then subscription but no terms or price. Won’t pull the trigger until I know the details

This app solves a problem I didn’t know I had. Are you a power user who knows what a POST request is? If you use Shortcuts, you need this app!

Server never worked. I’ve been paying a sub for multiple years. Never been able to have the server working as the app was bugged. Never was able to get a reply from support. Not an honest business.
