Sorry but makers of voodoo woke up one morning and said “let’s make 1000 very mediocre free games and bombard players with ads and give them potential to in app purchase to play absolutely pointless games”. I knew this about voodoo before even downloading but of course like many others I thought “hey it might just be different this time”. I couldn’t be any more wrong. After my FIRST game I had to watch a 30 second ad for a 1 minute long game. Absolutely frustrating, this is not a free game this and all other voodoo games are ***WATCH TO PLAY*** games. Trash. Nice bots giving you guys constant 5 star reviews. Hope the AppStore invests in reviewing their apps so voodoo and thousands of other game developers change their game type from free to watch to play. Bogus. Scam. Trash games.

Cool game, but.... So I really like this game. It’s very fun, but it has 1 problem... I can only be in adventure mode. There’s no option for me to choose game modes. Anyways, please respond to this, telling me how I can unlock it. Thanks!

Good but….. This is a good game with a good setup. But it is actually very glitchy, if you barely run into another boat you get stuck. Another problem is the ads, a game with start up then as soon as you move you get a ad, then end up dying. That does not happen every time but is very annoying. It’s a great game you just need to put more effort into it

What the?!?. After the last update with the add of skins and ect. I haven’t even been able to play against anyone or anything. All of the games I try to play none of the ships spawn and I can’t pick up barrels. I played this game before the last update and loved it. They should make bigger ship upgrades because it’s fun to get a bigger and bigger ship. Keep making the ships bigger and fix this problem!!!

Good game but after a while it kicks you out. Look here, I love the game it’s fun and addicting but i was playing one time and then all of a sudden it kicked me out. I couldn’t get back on it just let me see the voodoo cube games screen and then just kick me. I love the game but all I’m gonna say is that if you want people to play your game don’t kick them off, if it wasn’t you fix the problem. Have a nice day😡

Bug fix update did not help. After the update that was supposed to fix bugs it seemed to be worse. Once you start a battle your ship doesn’t have a health bar and it moves slow. You basically can’t fight anyone and make money. Everything started to work after this review. But, a new update and back to the same issues after the last update.

I love this game. Super creative awesome gameplay i am super satisfied with this game you guys did a really good job I love it I’m gonna go play now y’all have a great day keep up the good work I would like to see more games like this

Fun for the first hour. This game has good potential, but it’s way too easy and you can clearly tell that it’s basically all AI that you’re fighting... they have zero goals to accomplish and once you upgrade everything (after watching hundreds of 30 sec ads) the game has no point in my opinion. Might be worth the download if you’re bored and want something to do for an hour or two.

Good game. Ok well let me just say that it is a pretty good and simple game, mechanics are good and all but the game itself lacks difficulty, I mean really, the only time it got hard was wen I was so big and powerful that my ship was too tall to hit the smaller ships, even with the power up I literally had the ship right next to me and had all four cannons firing at it but took like a whole 30 seconds to take it out when it should take one shot, please fix soon, I like games like this but the fact that there are no real challenges in progressing to other island and that each map is just copy and paste it’s kinda boring after a while, like I said it’s a good game, it’s just lacking in sooo many aspects, hopefully it can become more fun rather than just something you play for one game just to realize that this is going nowhere no matter how much you put into the game, hopefully these things are fixed soon so I can give you two more stars.

View. It would be nice if you could have a 360 view of your ship at the home screen

Buggy. A cute and enjoyable game, but seems to be quite buggy. I’ll be in the middle of play, and the game will suddenly end, with a locked up screen. This has happened several times in the few days I’ve had the game. The only way to restart seems to be to delete the game and re-download, which of course loses all your progress.

Crashes. I’ve downloaded the game twice now and after a few days of playing it stops working! I get loaded into a battle but there are no opponents and my ship has lost most of its speed. I can’t pick up boost/items and it won’t let me leave the battle without closing the game entirely. I tried deleting the game and reinstalling it but I had lost all progress and ran into the same problems a few days later.

Good game but... It’s a good free game, wish the ships could get even bigger but that’s the only thing I have for customization wise. Now I have a feeling this game is offline because all the ships act the same even though it says they have player names. I haven’t lost a single game which makes me think it’s not actually real players.

Fun but.... I really enjoy planing this game it’s fun but every time they update the game to “fix” bugs” they create them. First it was not being able to upgrade your ships and no ships to battle. Now I’m not able to upgrade my ship and the amount of money for watching the videos for Davy Jones and the others has dropped significantly. I’ve deleted once and reloaded it. It has potential but the “bug fixes” gotta stop!

Great game, one suggestion!!. This is an outstanding and 5-star game. The only problem is that after you max out it still looks the same as it did at level 50. That is why I have the idea that you should just be able to keep upgrading till you get to like a World War 1 battle ship, then World War 2, etc. you see what I’m saying?? Like the upgrades are almost never ending

Great game!!! I have some suggestions though. I love the game and the art and it’s just overall amazing! I have ideas for future updates as well -Campaign Mode Levels in sets of ten and at the end of the final one for that world there should be a boss fight and if you defeat certain bosses you get new skins, gold etc -Zombie Mode One person is infected and try’s to kill the other ships to make them zombies as well -Kraken Mode Invite your friends to try to defeat the difficult boss Kraken but he has a bunch of HP Reward for kill should be about 10k on easy mode 100k on medium and 1mil on hard there could also be like demonic mode or something with a even higher award Thanks VooDoo for making such a great game please add these things in the future ❤️

Too easy. It is way too easy i dont think this multiplayer cause you get the opportunity to be revived which you cant do in online games, the other ships have the same names almost every round! Please remove the amount of ads cause they are annoying

Glad I didn’t listen to reviews. Game takes a tiny bit to get used to controlling the ship but it’s part of the fun. Only problem is. On lvl 22 of cannon upgrades it went from costing $22,000 to $290,000 and then lvl 24 cannon cost $33,000. Kinda strange but I spent a lot of hard earned money on that one upgrade that was oddly priced

Need bugs fixed!!. Was enjoying game but after last update my ship is a ghost. Can’t engage in games...and most games load with no participants. When they do, I have no health bar and take no damage but game never ends. Considering just deleting app altogether but it seemed fun. Hoping for a reply or better yet...a fix!

Modern game. He game is really modern and fun. It has strategy and fun mixed in. But the game keeps crashing and there’s a lot of ads. The game is fun except those other problems but the game is fun!

Fun, but room for improvements. This is a fun game to play and I definitely recommend downloading; it’s comparable to DOKDO. Just a few things I would recommend to make the game more fun and enjoyable. -Improve the steering so it’s easier to handle. -Have the ships stop when you aren’t controlling them instead of continually sailing. -Allow us to choose colors and designs to give our ships our own unique touch. -Add sound effects.

More?!. So this game is awesome, but I got it ten hours ago and I’ve already gotten all the upgrades that are available... I wish that there was something like fleet creation that the players could start once the main ship was fully optimized. Maybe the fleet ships could be fire ships or harpoon ships or a wide gambit of different options so that the player could continue upgrading and developing their fleet. Idk, just wish the millions I have in the bank could go to something cool

Great Game. I love this game! However the latest update seems to have messed up the game play. When I enter a match nobody is there, I move super slow and I can’t pickup anything. Also I can sail past the boundary and nothing happens. In the main menu it has all my upgrades but it says that they are full.

What the heck is up with this update.. Just ran the update and now all my upgrades are locked as “full”. There are no other players when I enter a battle. My boat speed is SLOW to the point where it hardly moves. There is something major wrong with it now!

This bug ruined it. So when I got this game I was addicted. It was an awesome game and it was smooth too. But after I bought the no adds everything changed. Ships not spawning,just me in a game, and the worst one is that I’m super slow and can’t see my HP. That all happened after I bought no adds late in the game. Plz fix this cause because of this I can’t enjoy the awesome game.

Best game yet. I have a lot of voodoo games and this one is by far the best one they could’ve ever put out. I like a lot of your other games as well but this one man awesome!!! Kudos keep up the good work on helping me pass the time at work haha

Almost, but Not Quite. It’s a fun, simple little game but the steering controls need to be vastly improved, especially if firing is done automatically for you. The wheel responds poorly when you try and turn it. A simple “tap this button to turn left, tap this button to turn right” layout would be infinitely better.

Customize and update bug. This game is really fun, but just some ideas, it would be pretty cool if you could change the color of your ship and maybe possibly one day adding some crew members just for some little details. But overall the game looks and plays great! Update: please if your not already working on it fix this bug that when the last update was released all enemy ships are now gone and I can’t even play the actual game, every time I load into a match it’s just me. Please fix this

Great game but there are some glitches. This game is a fun game but there are a few glitches one is that I joined a battle Royale game and it spawned me in the zone where it kills you if your in it so I immediately died and two there is a glitch where your ship can get stuck on another ship so please fix these

Good but needs more upgrades. It is a really good game but it lacks upgrades and is to easy when you have everything maxed out and with ads you can max out in like two days

Good but offline. So a great game and haters probably hate it cuz dae suc ad It. But it’s a cpu game cuz I got off for a our in the middle of a match and got on and nothing changed so yeh its a good game but offline and if u could be able to alternate modes like online and offline then dat would be cool and if got to the end yay I have a question, where’s y? Bug. When ever I play battle royal or team death match I can’t see my heath and other ships can’t sink me, and I can’t see when my cannons are going to fire, not only that but when I play these two game modes I can go off the map without dying. But when I play player vs. player I can see my heath, cannon fire, and other ships can actually sink me. Please fix the issue. If this was not a problem I would give the game a 5 out of 5.

Great game voodoo. Ever since you touched this game I’ve Ben dragged back int pirate fights. I do have a suggestion for a future up date, so the idea is to be able to customize the island where the players ship is docked so it could look cool and add some creative combinations of designs. Fun but after update, stuff stopped loading. This game is great! Fun to pass time with. However, a couple days ago after the update, for some reason every time I try to play a game, no other players are loaded into the match. It doesn’t matter which game mode I try either. PLEASE FIX THIS.

Suggestion. The games great and all except the steering..it’s to small and it’s a lil hard because of it being so small you’ll try to go one way but then it will go the other..just make that little steering week bigger and it should be good

It caps out sooner than you think.. Its basically a really fun concept with way to many ads. Also I am at level 40 Hull and at 900hp, and the game caps out at seven cannons which happens pretty fast you probably get all 7 at level fifty. And I’m already at 200 dmg flat with no caps Which is odd because the ships that visit you are wayyyy bigger than yours. Idk the adds are supposed to help out not give you more money than the actual gameplay ugh idk there is literally nothing else out there there though so I’m so torn I hate the developers for manipulating you into watching the adds, or you can pay to have the adds that happen after very game anyways stop.

Add multiplayer, fix your ads. So the game was fun, then I realized that I wasn’t playing people. Then it lost all fun. I can win every match. After every game you are asked if you want to double your gold for an ad, if you select no you still have to watch an ad, but no bonus. If you are giving people the option to get a bonus if they watch an ad then you shouldn’t require them to watch an ad if they don’t choose to get the bonus.

Shots go right over enemy ships. Also 30 second ads earn you more money than 5 minutes of this game.. Big issue is that my cannon fire fires right over the enemy ships. When I get further I can no longer shoot. Watching a 30 second ad earns you more money than playing for 5 whole minutes.

Great game. Love this game, it is lots of fun to play, i just wish they added an option to have several ships or different ship styles and functions, or atleast let you roll back your ship to 0 with a bonus, i maxed out everything in a day, i hope you guys read this and add a restart button!

More options. The game is really fun and I think you should add more stuff like colors and size along with broadside cannons and decorations. The ship should also be allowed to have different symbols for the sails. We should also have rams to ram ships

Fun to upgrade - not to play.. Ship upgrades were super fun and exciting, but if you spend any amount of time watching ads you’ll max our all upgrades in under 24 hours. With that also being said, I never lost a single BR match, and the islands were too large when trying to sail around them.

More. This game needs to offer more; real online pvp, maybe being able to build an island that makes money for you instead of just “offline earnings” I enjoy playing it though.

Solid. This is a very fun game and great for killing time. I have one recommendation and that is to make the time of team death match longer a minute and a half is to short. The only problem I have with the game is that the experience points don’t save after you close the app. It’s a fun game, but I don’t want to sit and play for 20 minutes just to try and level up.

Needs work. Has potential. Maxed everything on after a day or two of having the app. Needs more content and would be nice if you could actually play with real people and not bots. A lot of bugs towards the end. When I choose to double my money after using the bonus or wheel spin pressing the button does nothing. Also after purchasing all of the cosmetics it doesn’t always show owned or let you purchase. I can’t remember what level my boat was but when I hit a certain level battle royale wouldn’t load ships. Once I leveled boat up it resolved. Seems like another game pumped out quick just to make money rather than a project the devs enjoy.

Needs more gameplay.. The game starts out exciting but after a couple battles you will find there is no chance in upgrading your ship with just winning, you need to watch the adds. After the a couples hours of gameplay the ship is pretty much maxed out, and the game looses its purpose. I’ve maxed out all three upgrade options and the battles aren’t as fun. Overall good game just excessive adds and not much of a point in playing if all you want is to upgrade the ship.

Great game! Needs more uses for gold. The game is super fun and you can build a limitless skill level. More levels? Sure! A bigger battle ocean? Not really. But eventually you earn so much gold that you may as well retire. I’m at 11mil and it’s just sitting there. Bought all the cannons, ship and sail skins, and my upgrade is at full capacity. I’d love to see some ridiculous looking ships. Ghost ship? Ship figureheads?

Its not working. The new update don’t show ships I get stuck all alone and in team death match wen the time runs out it show I lost With no ships to blast Fix quick its bin like this since the update

Fun Game But..... I like the game and it’s really fun to play. The problem I have with this is that I got the game this morning and everything I have is maxed out. We need more upgrades, more skins, etc. Also there are way too many ads after each game. 30 seconds of ads for a 1 minute game! Maybe just make the ads after every 5th game. I know you can click out of the ads after about 5 seconds but still it gets annoying. So add some more upgrades to the ships and maybe give us different styles of ships to play around with. Maybe something like a much faster more nimble ship with less weaponry or a larger more armored and more weaponized ship.

Was Fun.. Game was fun until the recent update. It has literally been unplayable since. When I launch a battle my ship is the only one there and there’s no way to end without closing the app. While sailing around the ship barely moves and I can’t pickup the power ups either. It looks like all the level ups I had acquired prior to the update have my ship up past whatever the new caps are too. Will update this if the game is fixed.

Game good, earnings bad. The game is fun. A pirate ship themed battle royale. You cannot make any reasonable amount of money for upgrades from the game modes. This forces you into watching endless adverts for money. After battles, you can double your money (less than 7k per win) by watching an advert. Say no and you watch one anyways just no double money. Not worth your time or consideration.

More customization features. This game is amazing but would really love to see more customization features and more boat upgrades, I’ve only been playing this game for a day and I’ve already maxed out. But overall the game is great.

More ship updates. I love the game but I maxed out my pirate ship I hope you update it so I can keep making it bigger and stronger

Very ‘nice’. I am enjoying the game so far, it’s very fun. It has too many ads for my liking but but they gotta make a living some how, there are also not enough skins but I believe that is just a nit-pick from my adhd ridden brain angry there aren’t enough pretty colours in the funny pirate game. “BlackShipRoyale” Review. “BlackShipRoyale” is a great game. Including PVP modes and offline modes is a great thing. But sadly, like most good Voodoo games there are WAY WAY to many ads. And it seems like you never learn your lesson so a one star it is.

Great game a few flaws but so fun. A fun little time waster. Only thing I don’t like is that you are in the middle of combat and it takes too long for the cannons to run out and fire. The indicators for foreign should be constantly on and fire when a ship crosses path.

Update version 1.4.5 is BAD. It was fun at first, but now it allows the player to play the matches WITHOUT other players?! Like what gives I even don’t get the warning when I traverse outside the set boundaries!? What is going on, whatever is happening needs fixed now! Another point if I might add is that it stops me from upgrading my ship even though it’s not full upgraded!!! Please fix it!!!

Not challenging. Maybe you should add a real multiplayer, it’s a fun solid game, but I’ve never lost to an npc, ever. The games to easy, so it would be fun to face real players.

Fun at First, But Now.... Game started out pretty fun but now when I load into the game and try to play, my ship is super slow, my cannons no longer fire, and enemy ships rarely show up if not at all. Even if uninstalling and reinstalling fixes the issue, I wonder if it would only be a matter of time before the issues arise again.

Pirate Ship. I love this game but you could add more upgrades to the ship and make it even bigger it would make the ship look better and just help out

Good game. After you upgrade your ship and get all the skins their is really no reason to play.

This is a very fun game but there is one problem. The only bad thing about this game is that the ship’s need cannons everywhere on the side’s not just on the main deck.

BlackShip royale. This game is a time killer. The controls can be frustrating at first but you do get used to it. I like the new loot crates. I wish there was more to do with the ships. Is there just a max of 7 cannons and it’s just damage?

Help. I would give this 5 stars, for real, the game is great. But I have no sound! Is that the design?? A silent ship game? I want to hear pirate music and canons and splintering wood. If I could get some tech support on this that’d be great! *i’m a paying customer

BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM. I love it! I’d like more content and cannot tell if my settings don’t allow sound. But the premise is dead on. Man, I love being a pirate! Just TRY and sink me to the briney deep!

Bug. Fantastic game, but once I got a the bigger ship I started being put into games with like 3 people or just myself where I was invincible, couldn’t pick up items, and there was no end.

Great game but a little annoyed. With the recent update that came out it made it to where there was a cap out limit on upgrading your cannon powers, sails, and hull kinda took the fun out of it for me because now I have nothing to work for

What happened?. Played for a few days and got up there in upgrades and level. Log in just now and nothing works, main screen says everything is full, enemies don’t show up in game no matter how long I stay, ship doesn’t sail? Uninstall and reinstall and had to start over. No thanks.

Love this game. Just a suggestion would be pretty cool if you guys tied in a win loss record or points total into the Game Center. At minimum Se wins and losses

More game modes. The game is great, just downloaded it last night. Could you add in a other game mode such as capture the flag? But other than that the game is great and addictive!

you cannot lose. Seriously up te difficulty of AI because I cant lose a 1v1 match if I actively try to lose. Enemies purposely avoid power ups and rush head long into your auto firing gun line and commit suicide. Same in the arena play. I dont have to touch the screen i just sit there and then the last ship left commits suicide. this is vodoos best concept yet and they are blowing it.

Where the god dam sound. This is really bad because The game is really slow and when I shoot it shoots late. Also there no god dam sound it would be much better with sound but it does not. Another thing is when I started playing So many long ads. Worst game ever would not want to play

It’s fun but. Once you get your ship big enough it’s to hard to hit the other ship also the skins are terrible they need to add more way to many adds by the way just by writing this write now I think I’m going to delete the game.

New update. While I like the new update with picking out skins and I have my ship basically “fully upgraded” now the servers do not work well and cannot get a game in. I’m very frustrated with the new update because this is a very fun game.

Cant win. I dont know if i am the only one who has experience this but i destroy the last ship and it didn’t let me win so i went out of combat zone and died and it said defeated i had 12 kills

Another Cake Multiplayer Game. Most games can get away with it without trying to look multiplayer, but this one even includes a loading bar that says "connecting". Try in airplane mode. Game still "connects" just fine. Sick of these games pretending to be multiplayer. Just spend the time building a single player campaign mode rather than faking multiplayer.

Ads, no multiplayer, no ffa, no sound. I rarely rate games In the game, it showed multiple ships fighting EACH OTHER However, I got it and there was no multiplayer, no ai fighting each other, which was why I got it in the first place No sound either, which is just boring At least make it multiplayer

Needs something. Absolutely love this game but I’ve already maxed out the size of my ship. Need to be able to increase the ship size more

Controls. Honestly this is an amazing game, but how you steer the ship is a bit weird, maybe instead have the wheel in the middle of the screen or have buttons on the side for steering

It’s okay. I love this game but I wish that you could change the Coker of your boat and that you could turn better! But very good game. :3

Fun Game, But Why No Sound?. This is a fun game. Probably more fun than any simple iOS multiplayer game. But could it hurt to add some basis sound at least for the cannons and explosions?

Best game ever. This is my favorite game I have but could you please make for options for the ships like to make them bigger with more upgrades.

Poor controls. It has poor controls for navigating the ship. Also the Cannons system to fire is way to slow. It has room for improvements but as of now it will be deleted.

Nothing left to do. Don’t get me wrong-it’s really fun. The only problem is I’ve had the game for a week now and I’ve already gotten the best skins and max upgrades. So just add more skins, raise the upgrade max, just to keep it going.

Cool if it worked. Downloaded, bought no ads and the legendary pack to get double earnings and the game immediately started bugging. Entered games no health or indicators, super slowed down, wouldn’t earn or exit at end of battle. Uninstalled and reinstalled to try to get rid of bugs, all my purchases were gone. No place to contact support on their website.

Game is to short. I got this game because I thought it would be good to spend time when I’m bored but the game is to short I beat it in less than a day and I’m starting to think it’s a.i. Because I have NEVER lost yet the game is to easy

Not working after latest update. Great game a lot of fun but after this last update whenever i try to start a game it loads me up by myself no matter which game mode i choose with no opponent(s) please fix soon, this game is a lot of fun and i would like to give it more stars

Fun game. Great fun being a pirate just wish it had sounds making money is easy watching ads for loot is worth it if you want a large ship. But overall it’s great the gameplay is perfect for what it is.

Fake Mulitplayer. The mechanics are pretty straight-forward, and the game is enjoyable, if not repetitive. However, it tries to pass itself off as a multiplayer game, going so far as to have a PVP mode aside from the traditional battle royal mode, and to claim to be “connecting” with every match. It is not “connecting” you to anything however...or anyone. You are playing against computers every game. Simply put, this is Single Player Only. Better to make it a good game on its merits alone, rather than to try to trick your players into thinking that they are thrashing real people. And you will, no doubt, thrash these computers.

Fun but updates have messed it up. Game is a good time waster, super easy to win every time. But the updates have made it to were the game no longer works at all. Seems to be a lot of people with the same problem and it’s been over a week. Seems they might not care to fix it.
