Great potential, but needs improvement. Love the different font editing. You got huge versatility there. Caption transcription is almost as good as the way you speak it. It has to be clear. I don’t mind editing and fixing a little. My biggest issue right now is that no matter what I do with the font, it always exports same small size font, no matter what I do. Which is very frustrating since I paid for the app and I cannot use is since the font is so small. Hope they fix it so I can increase the rating. Also, I lost work when editing for a long time and switched between apps. So “save draft” is needed here too.

Could be cool. Really frustrating that you can't manually change the time stamps of the subtitles. Makes the app kind of pointless because it forces you to rely on voice recognition picking up on everything, which of course it does not.

I want to love this but.... The transcription is only ok, which would be fine if it was easy to edit the captions. Unfortunately the interface for editing words is terrible with no easy way to select and replace text.

Super buggy and doesn’t open older files.. I want a refund. I bought this app to transcribe a few videos that were recorded last year, and to my disappointment the app doesn’t even make those available when trying to access existing files. So I just flushed 3 bucks down the toilet. I want my money back...

Keeps crashing!. Love how I can upload a video to create captions but trying to save it to actually use it has been a lost cause! Crashes as soon I hit save.

Keeps freezing. When I try to add the captions and when I want to download a captioned video it freezes. A waste of $2.99.

Needs a lot of work. After reviewing the writing and changing it the writing started freezing on the video. Then I did it again and it froze while it was downloading the video. Every time I close the app I lose all the work. This is very frustrating.

Not capturing all your words. I really like that you can add captions to pre-recorded videos, but there were a lot of mistakes within a 60 second clip. It missed sentences and captured words incorrectly.

Some fixes still need to be made. There could be a better way to edit the captions. Not every word was accurate and I had to flip back and forth between screens to edit the captions. Then if you leave the app you loose all of the work. There could be a “save draft” option. And I accidentally hit download which didn’t give me any options. It just went to compressing and I lost the progress I had made.

Just Don’t Do It. I read all of the 1 star reviews and somehow still gave faith to the questionable 5 star reviews and bought this app. It’s got the underlying technology that I was looking for but is so buggy that it’s anxiety-inducing and wasn’t at all able to get the job done. Save your money and go for MixCaptions instead - I am not being paid by anyone to say this, I simply found it afterward and it did exactly what I needed - which was to have my video automatically read and captioned for my IGTV video.

Won’t download. It has great voice recognition, and I like that I can’t change the font, point size, etc. But when I click to download it, it gets to 100% and locks. Nothing happens. I have tried it multiple times and with multiple videos. Waste of money and time.

Seemingly just stopped working?. This app was working great for what you pay, but today it has seemingly stopped functioning? The wheel is spinning and says it’s captioning, but I get an error message sending me right back to the camera roll.

Waste of money and time. I spent hours trying to get this to work. It crashes during uploads. If it does manage to complete upload, the captioning process is tedious. I can’t edit the test easily at all. I feel frustrated for trying so long. Please save your money, but more importantly, save your time investment.

This app is worthless, I want my money back.. I want my money back. I bought it today, it misses many things I said in a vid, went in to edit it and words like “a” & “I” it doesn’t have a sensitivity to even capture and edit those words. I almost edited my full 58 second video with this but I couldn’t take out the I’s or A’s so it was a complete waste of time. DO NOT BUY THIS unless they make some BIG BIG changes. I would rather put this is my computer and manually edit it for hours because at least I know I’ll be able to edit and accurately get it. Or use Apple Clips. Please fix this app, if editing were accurate and you could save, I would be satisfied.

Not perfect but what I was looking for. Great app that got the job done. It’s true that there will sometimes be issues transcribing videos, but you can easily edit and fix any problems.

Waste of money. This app can only caption videos you Shot on the spot or you have shot with your phone. Which is a waste! We have way more videos that we have shot via other devices.

Started out good.... As someone who really values accessibility, I was SO excited to be able to use this app after looking into many subtitle apps. I believe making materials accessible should be low cost so this app aligned with that. It started out great with short 30-40sec video captioning for Instagram stories; I had a few edits in words, but no major issues. Today, I’ve tried two different 2.5-3min recordings and both fail in the captioning process. I’m super disappointed because I don’t mind as much fixing basic errors but for it to fail completely?! I don’t even have the opportunity to fix.

App doesn’t work, has major bugs. On principle, this app looks like it should be a lifesaver for adding captions to pre-recorded videos. HOWEVER, not only do the buttons within the app not work (“pause” doesn’t pause the video, and you can’t highlight the words or scroll the video to match up with them, even though that’s exactly what it looks like it’s built to do), I’m a pretty clear speaker and the captions it came up with looked like a 5 year old’s game of MadLibs. I’m so disappointed that I spent 2.99 on this and would love my money back so that I can spend it on a coffee. Something that actually satisfies and fulfills its promises.

Only works in English. Hoping the developer adds more languages soon

Not worth 2.99. So...it works...kinda. But I have some videos where the audio is so quiet, the app isn’t even picking up that captions need to be there. So when I try to edit the captions, I have no options to add them in. I can only edit captions where the app has picked up that there are words. TLDR: need a WAY better way to edit the captions. The interface is sloppy and has not enough control.

So glitchy. When I tried to edit the text it just stopped showing on the screen. And then when I tried to download the video, it stalled out. I want my money back.

Completely false statement of what this app can do. How is it your app doesn’t do the 1 THING you advertise of doing?!?! I have a video that a person is talking in clear English that I need captions for that I import into the app and time after time the app “Failed to generate captions” the fact that you charge for this app is a fraud

What a great app, but it needs some help. I love this app and it looks like the developer needs to update the app so it works with the newer phones as well as make it so the font is bigger. When I save the video out the for is tiny at the bottom of the screen.

Not this one...NEXT!!. I’m so disappointed in this app. I was happy at first to find a free app that added closed captions to videos. I do social media marketing for businesses and I have clients that love to do videos and since everyone’s looking at their phones nowadays and not using sound, closed captions are great to use! The first time I used the app, it was “so so”. I had to edit a few words, but I expect that to happen. The next time I went to use it, the audio kept glitching while I was trying to edit the captions, then it got stuck in one place repeating the same portion of the audio over and over and over and THEN it froze altogether!! I had to upload the video again, because I had no other option than to close out the app and then it doesn’t save any of your progress, anyway. Tried to edit again and the same thing happened. I have SOME patience, so I repeated the same process FOUR times before I finally gave up. Save yourself some time, frustration and headaches. Don’t use this app. I actually found another that does way more for video and the captions are prestine. Try “Mix Captions”. It worked like a charm!!

Love the updated caption options!. Love how easy the app is getting! A lot of improvements lately. One thing that keeps messing up though is the export shows tiny font no matter what font size I select in the app. I’m giving you 5 stars anyway because I can see the changes are coming!

I want my money back. You posted an update yesterday saying everything is fixed... I purchased your app and captions didn’t work at all. It was a 2 minute video and it only gave me a one sentence caption that was not the right words at all. Please return my $2.99

Better than the reviews say!. This app is amazing and I use it almost everyday! It’s so much better since the update in November 2019! Thank you for creating an awesome app!

I want my money back.. This app won’t work AT ALL. I tried using a video from my camera roll and it goes through the 0-100% wheel only to dump me back at the camera roll. I tried recording a video in app the app did nothing and it crashed out to my home screens. At least one other attempt at something with some other configuration also crashed the app entirely. Don’t waste your money.

No response. I emailed my issue as suggested by the developer and I have not received a response. The app crashes for me when I try to record a video and the captions are not synced to videos I import. At this point the app is not serving any purpose for me.

Caption placement. So the app does what I need it to do. I post lots of biz related videos. But I wish I could move the placement of the caption. With up more or at the top.

I want my money back! Don’t waste your money on this.. Hi, I recently downloaded the app and every time I try to download the video to my phone it just stay on 100% in the screen. Like frozen and nothing else happens. I’m very disappointed, it is really a waste of time. I don’t understand how you charge money when the app still have so many bugs. Caption Positioning. This app would be perfect if you added the ability to move the caption around on the video. 3 dollars wasted.

Tiny text and breaks. I really wanted to make my videos accessible. On a few videos it wouldn’t even process, but on every single clip I take the text, no matter the size and format I select, always comes out super tiny in the final product even if the preview in the app looks normal. Unusable and a waste of money until this is fixed

Won’t complete long videos. Can’t get the app to work on videos longer than a minute. It freezes up when it’s time to generate the captions

Unable to add caption to time stamp. I wanted this app to be great but it doesn’t allow me to add anything it doesn’t pick up in the audio to an earlier time stamp.

Worst app on my phone. TERRIBLE functionality. The app glitches and crashes, none of the buttons respond when you click them or their response is delayed by at least thirty seconds (in some cases delayed by over 5 minutes). So far it has taken me 45 minutes to get through editing 15 seconds of video, and the app is still frozen and won’t let me use it.

Inaccurate Translations. The app needs more work. Inaccurate translations. I won’t be able to use it; save yourself the money.

Don’t buy. You are scamming people out of their money and shouldn’t be selling a broken app. Shame on you. Can’t edit spacing and won’t even download the video after.

Scam, never works. Before it even loads the video it immediately says captions failed, even on professional videos.

I should’ve read the reviews. Whatever bugs it has have not been fixed. Tried uploading an 8 minute video. App kept freezing or showing up with a black screen and restarting. After an hour of trying to make my $3 worth it I give up.

No Scrubbing?. Honestly it works pretty good and the price is perfect but there is no scrubbing feature so it doesn't allow me to go back and change specific words it might have gotten wrong. The app is awesome other than that, will change to 5 stars once I can get the issue resolved.

Limited Video Options. Great app, but incredibly frustrating that I can’t load anything other than my camera roll, and it won’t load all of the videos in my library. Makes it pretty useless for someone like myself who does lots of prerecorded videos.

App crashes. I have uploaded a 4 min video and edited the words (which is no problem! I didn’t expect it to be perfect with different voices and tones) but after 7 failed attempts I’ve given up. The app crashes every time I try to save the clip with the caption included.

So wanted it to work but it doesn’t. I was so excited about this app but after 5 tries on a three minute video and the app keep shutting down and having to start over I couldn’t try again. I spent an hour trying to get my video captioned and edited. It kept shutting down and getting stuck and I’d start again. Finally made it though and the app shut down when I was downloading my captioned video. Maybe it’s only good for super short 15 sec videos?

Crashes on my iPad 11 Pro. I am trying to add captioning on existing videos. So far every video I have tried crashes the app.... so it doesn’t work for me.

Love the concept but crashes all the time. I absolutely love and need this app in my life but it keeps crashing. Please fix the bugs so I can tell everyone to get this app! Also can you consider adding a feature where we upload the subtitles ourselves and it adds it? That’d be great!

Not user friendly and doesn’t capture correct words. Didn’t even look at the reviews...it didn’t get one word right. That part was actually comical. Where it didn’t become so comical was when I had to edit the entire video and it won’t let me change/edit where the words should pop up abs when. I had to delete the entire captioning so it started me at the end of the video. Then I tried to edit word by word, deleting the incorrect word and replacing it with the correct word to hold the spot. Still didn’t work. It is NOT user friendly and I don’t understand way. Hoping I can get a refund, unsatisfied within 30 minutes of using this app. Waste of money.

If you can’t fix editing short words it’s useless. The main issue with this app that makes it completely useless is how you edit the text. You cannot click into a short word like “I” to save your soul. Maybe if you try 30 times. I don’t have time for that! It makes it absolutely impossible to edit correctly. Fix this, or the app is pointless.

Edit difficult. Great app except editing transcription is too slow clunky and I never ended up with a completed project

DO NOT BUY THIS APP. It completely doesn’t work. It transcribed my video fine, with just a few errors, but when I went to change them it glitched out. I couldn’t move past one spot in the text, and then I couldn’t go back so I lost everything and I couldn’t even get back to the video to export it even if I’d wanted to. Total waste of money

Fails to generate captions. The first time I opened the app, selected a video, instantly got a pop up that says “Failed to generate Captions”. No matter what video I select, instantly get the same message. Ripped off.

Frustrated + want my $ back!. I rarely spend money on an app, but I have really been wanting to add captions/subtitles to my videos. Every time I take a video It glitches, and it doesn’t properly focus on my face in lots of lighting. Really frustrated

Doesn’t work. I would be better off writing my captions myself. I’ve just wasted an hour trying to get this app to work. Once you make corrections, it just doesn’t work. I’ve given it a fair chance.

Hope it improves. I love the idea and esthetic but first of all it doesn’t “hear” very accurately. It worked a few times but was pretty off on captioning what I was saying. And second it loads even a short clip to 100 % then freezes. So basically it’s not working. So far it’s been a waste of $4, hoping for bug fixes because it would be great if it actually worked.

Doesn’t work in horizontal mode. The caption part of this app works great. The reason I purchased it however, was to put captions on my landscape videos and the captions run up the side. Very disappointed!

Great idea but doesn’t work well. Love this app idea and would be a huge fan if it was accurate. Was so off my captions, it was not even understandable to read for anyone listening with sound off or hard of hearing. So therefore pretty useless. Really wonderful app idea though and I’m hoping the accuracy improves over time.

Needs to be TikTok friendly. I don’t mind editing the captions for missed words and I haven’t had issues with freezing. However, I downloaded this to make my tiktoks more accessible and this app does not allow you to choose where the captions are generated, so they are hidden by my content description. If you were to allow users to move the captions box this app would be 100000x better!
