Great App. 10.2020 Review Update: Very anxious to get out and use this app again. If you are trying to decide which app to choose look no further! Having used other apps I can tell you this is the best. Added edit bonus is the developers response to questions. You will not be disappointed with this app. Former SnoCru user for years. This is much better! I usually don’t pay for an app. I sent an email because I wanted clarification on pricing. I was shocked to get a response within hours! Then to find out the $2.99 is a one time fee (others charge by season) I downloaded it. Now that I have used it there is no need to try any other tracker. Very impressed and very happy!

Super handy app!. Got this app in Colorado on a ski trip because I liked the wsdot and CDOT traffic apps this guy makes, and it’s been great! Super easy to start and stop, and it’s easy to delete runs if you accidentally leave it on in the car (which I always do). I haven’t been comparing it to anything, but it seems pretty accurate for distance, speed, and elevation. Would recommend!

Best Ski Tracker on the App Store. I am amazed by this app. I have been skiing for a while and have always tried to find a Ski tracker app that allows you to use the app for free. Most trackers make you pay a subscription for features that should be included. This app lets you use every feature for free, and includes attention to detail that most apps do not have. For example, every time you arrive at a new page, instructions appear informing you on how everything works. I can clearly see that this developer cares about their customers.

My new go to app. I might not be the best person to go to for this app, because I did just start it today, but so far I love it. This app keep making me try harder to get a higher speed, a longer trail, and a steeper trail. I would recommend this app for people who what to push their limits.

Disappointing. Bring back Trace Snow! This app lost 2 sessions data, no photo loads, not sure it works in Canada or anywhere outside USA

Just remember to turn it on. I’m impressed with the detail recorded and the simple interface. Takes less battery than I thought on iPhone 11. If only I was better at remembering to hit record at the beginning of each day.

Freezing. Lost first 2 days at the end when it froze and shut down as I was trying to save.

Fabulous ski tracking app. Amazed by its accuracy, I can figure out which runs I was on compared to the trail map after the fact. I love the way I can look up individual runs and how the map is colour coded by speed. The tracks are so accurate I can even tell when I turned vs. when I sideslipped and reversed out.

Decent easy, needs lifts and run maps.. This app is pretty good for a free app! I haven’t found a better cheap app. I would like to see a few more states like average speed, time spent skiing, integration with strava, lift and run lines. Google maos has most of lifts.its great that it color codes the run you made by speed, but they could add a key. Usually i think of red as faster but green is faster here. It would be nice to be able to color code the runs by other things like gradient, sinuosity, run number etc. Its great that it doesn’t track you going up the lifts though.

Easy to use and fun!. I got this app and took it out on the mountain and it was great. The app is super easy to use. It didn’t drain my battery either which is a big plus. It’ll show you the map of where you rode and your speeds with a color coding which is really neat in my opinion. If you’re looking for a tracking app I’d really recommend it!

Simple to use. Exactly what I was looking for. I wanna check conditions for the places I’ll go this season, and it sounds cool to track my sessions as well! Great app.

Not accurate!!. The Run count is WAY off, and won’t tell you how many runs you have done till you hit stop for the day. This app is terrible. Won’t let you try it. I was forced to purchase and even asked for a refund.

Cool skiing app. Great app with some cool features. Gives you much more functionality than epic mix, including speed, actual runs skied, etc. The tracking works really well, and gives you a good view of where you’ve been...which is great for people like me who aimlessly float around the mountain.

User experience confusing. Can’t seem to figure out how operate it from my Apple Watch. The weather thanks I’m 200 miles from my current location

Don’t waste your money. Can’t find the gps ever

Need Legend. I want to know how fast each color is exactly. I want to know how fast I’m going at each point of my track! But there’s no legend...(eg to tell how fast light yellow is for example).

Easy to use!. Took this app to try it out at Mammoth Mountain and for a trip in Taos Ski Valley. The app is super easy to use and has accurate stats. Compared it to the resort apps and came out with the same speed, distance, and elevation as they did. Simply hit play and forget about it. Importantly the app didn’t drain my phone battery. Used it all day and it took about 30% even in the cold!

Great app. Super practical and functional, works great. Battery use is minimal; I’m able to track runs all day and don’t have to keep in airplane mode. I reached out to developer on a suggestion to improve app, and guy was receptive to idea. Couple ways it could be better, but as is works amazing.

Potential but a ways to go. Useful to count total vertical for the day, but that’s all. No value in looking at individual runs, because every time you stop it counts a new run. So don’t wait for your friend, as it will chop up your ski day into little pieces. Then the “runs” are listed by distance, not sequential, so you can’t figure out which line actually corresponds to a run you remember. If there’s a way to sort, I could not find it. Suggest make the runs sorted by time, and allow user to combine sequential segments into a real run from top to bottom. Then I could track my day as it actually happened. Put a time start/finish on each. So then I can associate with what I remember from my day.

Works great!. Used the Ski Tracker app for the first time yesterday and it works awesome! It provides all the info you could ask for and is extremely easy to use. Update: I’ve been using this for 3 seasons now and couldn’t be happier with it!!

The Ski Tracking App I Was Waiting For. This app has excellent background functionality so I can start it and forget it while I’m skiing. And the graphics are great on the map, so I can see exactly where I was and what I was doing all day. The free app I was using before doesn’t compare.

App. Like the old version better, bigger digits and was super easy to use Why all the changes??

Simple and efficient. This app did exactly what I needed it to and was so easy to use. I had a question for the developer and got clarification within a few hours on email. As for battery usage, I skied 7 hours with the tracker running in the background, listening to audiobooks all day and frequently checking texts/emails and ended the day with 49% power, so you’ll have no problem using this all day long on the mountain. Really happy with the purchase and the stats the app provides; highly recommended!

New Mexico. I used this app for a few powder days down in New Mexico and it worked great even when I had no cell signal. Will use it everyone in our boarding. 5 stars.

Fun stuff!. This app is great. Allows you to see your results from each ski trip while giving you “highlights “. Remember to end session when you drive home or you can amaze your friends with your 70mph run down the bunny hill.

I love this app!. This app is so simple to use and 100% reliable. The app automatically knows when you are skiing and records your runs. Somehow it cuts out walking and lift rides from the record. It will however record driving as a run but it’s easy to edit the runs once you close the session. The max speed feature is pretty cool, I’ve always wondered how fast I was skiing. The app also color codes the run by speed on the map so you get an overall picture of how fast you were going at different positions. I am using an iPhone 11 and have more than enough battery to run this app and listen to streaming music all day.

Beginner skier. Real easy to use. Doesn’t use much battery at all. Great to mark your progress. Fun to share and compare with friends. Thanks

Awesome App!!!. Love the App! I was able to track my runs 1 by 1 opening weekend to try to beat my top speed each lap. Love how accurate this thing is! Great job!

Junk. This is total crap, you have no ski run names not even a live interactive map!

Battery lasts, no login. Love that if you set it on airplane mode, your phone gps will still track everything. Battery lasted all day on the slopes. Didn’t need to make an account, which I love.

Looks good so far. I haven’t gotten to test the app out fully yet as the Ice Coast isn’t too fun. But the design is very fluid and I like everything that’s there. Also the developer mentioned support for Apple Watches in the future with many more features to come. Worth a try.

Lots of micro runs. If you stop to wait up, the tracker marks that as the ending of a run. So you end up with tons of micro runs over the course of the day

Nothing unless you upgrade!. This app does not work unless you pay to upgrade first. Don’t be fooled like I was, didn’t see any notice of this. Screen says press the play button, all you get is an upgrade screen. Close that and still nothing. Bait and fail I guess

Traversing seems to stop it from tracking sometimes. It seems like it stops tracking if I’m traversing much at all, sometimes you aren’t strictly going downhill, if you go quick downhill then whip up after where your elevation increases again then ride for a bit keeping a steady elevation while you traverse is when it stops tracking. Other than this it tracks very well and uses only a tiny bit of battery power, I like that you can edit runs so you can delete if you accidentally left it tracking while you drive to grab lunch in between runs or go back home without stopping the tracker, exporting is really cool too.
