You will love this purchase!. I love my monster lights get double sided tape and form the light into a funky shape, I use them every day. I love the functionality of monster app being able to change the color of the light or the brightness. I also paired my Alexa to wake me up with the lights! I love them such a good purchase

they don’t support 5G?. the lights used to be perfect for me, i could use the app and my google home to control them, i had no complaints, they were bright, never flickered it flashed like other people said theirs did, they were overall amazing until i upgraded my wifi to 5G, the lights don’t support it so when i tried to change the wifi connection on them it didn’t work, now the only way to control them is with the button on them which is very inconvenient and annoying, but there’s not really much you can do about it😂 so they used to be great but now they’re just kinda annoying bc i can’t change or customize the color :/

Pretty good. Loses 2 stars because they are pretty difficult to set up and there isn’t much on the internet to help you. Putting them up was also a process because two of the clips you use to hang them up broke and you can’t find them anywhere so be careful not to break or lose them. Other than that they are pretty nice and the app is very good.

Pretty good app, but. The one thing I love about this app is it’s automations and shortcuts for functionality with Siri and Alexa!! But recently my automations have not been working as I had set them up to. I have multiple different automations for both of my two LED strips such as “turn on”, “turn off”, “dim”, “brighten”, etc. I have it set to when I say “it’s bedtime” it should change one of my LED strips to the color setting at a certain brightness. But instead it just turns on white at max brightness. I have tried multiple ways to troubleshoot this but to no avail. I don’t know why this is, but I would appreciate an update to fix it as soon as possible! Thanks! another thing I could complain about is that I really wish you could set up specific colors for an automation instead of just “color” or “scene” or “music” Which by the way I think is not as practical or nice as most other LED strips because there should be a microphone inside the LED strip module that recognizes beats of sound to change the lights, and not have to require the microphone in your phone to work… big dum Thanks for whatever the app is worth anyways, hopefully there are more updates to come!

Can’t connect led strip to the app & no resolution addressed!. I thought I was getting a deal at Walmart, BUT NOPE!!! Basically I’ve spent 4 hours trying it over and over to do what all directions tell me on the in-box instructions, online instructions, on-screen instructions, and read on and on about ANY POTENTIAL resolution, and Nope! 🤦🏼‍♂️ So, I guess Walmart’s getting the return cause the stupid app doesn’t connect to the strips, and has incorrect (or outdated) info. So,... I feel like the blind is leading the blind. I was SO EXCITED about it, but not anymore! Gonna go pay more money for a different brand that connects and works!! 🤷🏼‍♂️

It’s alright, but…. As a holiday gift, I received these lights and I was really excited, but as soon as I downloaded the app, I became instantly disappointed. it was extremely hard to set up. It took over an hour JUST to connect my phone to the LED light strip. I feel like after the somebody fixes the connection problem, it would be a great app to use for many people. After I somehow set it up, it was a great app to use, and I enjoyed using these lights to this day. (Devs, please fix this problem)

I love the app except for a change I want.. I recently bought a light strip so I got this app and I love it! But there’s a feature (or change) I want and in the music section, please add music services so you don’t use up more battery by using the microphone instead, and it would be better only using 1 phone (for services and the app) instead of 2 phones (one for the music and another for the app). Anyway, I still love this app for their cool features too.

Good App But Issues With Bluetooth On Apple. Overall, the app itself is great. I use it for my LED Light Strip and the lights are awesome too. Lots of colors, scenes, a music option and a few other cool settings. But when setting up it says Bluetooth connection is recommended and says it needs Bluetooth permission and offers a way to your settings to allow it but once in the settings there’s no Bluetooth option at all. Super annoying and confusing but you don’t need Bluetooth to use the app, just can’t get the full experience.

Spaz lights. Even after messing with every setting and the levels of volume there is no way to get the lights to actually go with the music they just spaz out and flash aggressively and are very distracting to drive with even after setting the flash speed to the lowest possible setting. When using the music setting it also uses the phones microphone instead of the one built into the device making all the sound come out sounding like tin. These are trash and this brand is awful so not waste ur money on it.

Dark mode plz. Fantastic and simple app for all light strips and other accessories. The lights are amazing and provide the perfect low light levels I enjoy, but please add a dark mode option to the app. As someone who prefers low light, being blinded every time I open the app to turn off my lights before I go to bed is super annoying and it hurts. 4 stars no dark mode. 5 stars with. Good stuff regardless.

Pretty solid light strips. I have been using these light strips for a few years now on my TVs around the island in my kitchen, etc. I love the app. Sometimes I have an issue with connecting a new strip, but other than that they are really reliable. The colors are quality and crisp. Hard to be for the price and the app has come along way makes it easy to set them up like you want them I highly recommend.

lED light strips - They work if you have WiFi. These lights are cool and just awesome. I have 3 of these light strips and easily set them up via WiFi. My only complaint is from a security perspective - you must input your WiFi password directly into the app so that it’s presumably stored in the light strips and wherever else which makes you vulnerable. So, if you work from home or have particularly sensitive security issues. I would suggest either not using these light strips, or setting up some sort of secondary access point (internet access required to work) dedicated for smart home devices. But they work great and I am considering purchasing more.

There are better lightbulb apps for better products. It’s like similar remote control apps (you have to get a new one for pretty much every single device you get). This app won’t let you set a timer to change lights to a different color though. It also requires your wifi password and location in order to use. Honestly I shouldn’t of had to pay for a light with the data it collects from me. I’m not sure how it is to use with multiple devices since the device I got had an led burn out and had a remarkably small power cord for a lighting device. Which makes sense since people don’t traditionally put light fixtures on the ceiling. You also can’t utilize the device to change individual LEDs something that’s uniquely easy to do with LED Technology. Not something I really need, but I’d be in horror if I was using these to make pixel art or something and bought ten or so strips only to find that it’s not possible. While that might be a mechanical impossibility with the physical device. The app doesn’t offer dynamics either. It’ll change color with music (while the app is open on screen) but doesn’t offer strobe effects or customizable patterns. The rotating patterns provided proof that it can do those things but refuses to offer customization.

Almost perfect. This app would’ve been perfect, almost perfect. The only thing missing and it’s a big one… it offers on the box lights that react to music. On paper this sounds awesome and was the reason for the purchase. Then you realize, it’s only possible through an app, ok no problem, I can do that. Here’s where it falls short. You have to keep the device on and in that app while the music is playing or they’ll stop reacting. Either keep your device on forever on and let it get drained out of battery or the lights stop reacting. That’s it, that’s my only issue. A big issue, but my only issue, not a bad 4/5 stars 😊

Wish I could give it 5. Sadly I can’t. Although these deliver on their promises… the times when they randomly unpair or worse, seem to be unpairable, ruin the whole everything you’re trying to create with this type of product. The reset process is janky at best. It solely depends upon how evenly time you are to plug and unplug a usb to 120V adapter just to get it to work??? I spent about 4 total hours at this and all the while I executed the directions like a surgeon…only having luck on my side ultimately. Which brings the other or arguably most important fail in the product. It’s on usb powered. They’re useless unless you have adjacent computers or just the right type of ac converter.

This is garbage. Update so now they won’t even connect to my phone at all it’s been a week and I can’t seem to get them to reconnect. If I could give negative stars I would and for everyone that is giving them 4 stars for a bad review stop because you all are giving them too much credit and making them look better than what they are. So for like a month they worked perfect but all of a sudden none of them want to connect to my phone it works sometimes but holy I shouldn’t have to take an hour out of my day to turn them back to normal

Update i found a group didint know but went into settings and saw grouping. No complains found the issue i was having. [scenes all run together as if it was one i have the neons and i wish i could just put music on all 4 led strips instead of staying in one led strip on the music scene only for 1 making them all 1 would be amazing the app is great functions as should would be nice if they added more features]

Lights don’t connect to Bluetooth and cannot connect the app whatsoever. This is pretty frustrating, because the lights look really cool and they’re classy but I can’t get them to connect to the app!!! It’s very frustrating. I went through the instructions in the pamphlet and in the app for about an hour multiple times and still nothing. Please if you see this, make sure that you find out if it will work with your app because that’s supposed to be the whole point of this!

This was a complete scam. I hate this I was expecting sum simple to but on but no it was not. It come with a strip that isn’t even the length of the top of my shortest was so I had to buy more. And the box didn’t even say how short it was or even that it had to be plugged in. There were some at Lowe’s that I knew I should of got they were wireless and they were actually long and could at least fit on one wall unlike this brand. Plus since you have to plug this in how do you think we can stick it on the top of our wall we’ll we can’t. Plus the stupid app wouldn’t connect to my Wi-Fi and my WiFi is completely fine. This was a complete waste of money for me and I will be returning them.

Monster Smart App review. Download was very quick. The app found the Monster Illuminessence Essentials 6.5 foot LED strip very quickly. I have also paired a different brand lightbulb, a Merkury Innovations smart bulb with color and white, to the Monster app. The app works flawlessly. In fact, I much prefer this app over the HUE app offered by Phillips. No brainier, Monster for the win. Did I mention the Monster product was $14 compared to the Phillips HUE strip at $70? Awesome app. Many easy to use features, total control.

Review. I’ve seen a lot of reviews that say this app doesn’t work but those are false. The product connects very easily you just have to reed the directions and it works fine. This app has everything it said it would and the product is only $13 which is a really good price for a product that actually works.

very bad. I don’t usually write reviews, but I thought that the amount of casualties that I’ve run into while trying to use this app deserves it. I have not once, after trying for MONTHS to connect it and make it work, been able to use it. The app is a huge hassle, and collects way too much data about location and things like that. Also, the strip that i received to go with this app only lights up halfway, but cannot be returned because it was a gift and I do not have the receipt. DO NOT BUY! It deserves a 0 star review.

Why do you need Wi-Fi for it?. I bought the LED lights for my room, they were only 6.5 feet so I couldn’t hang them in my room. I got home and got the app, thinking I would be able to make cool colors. I opened the app and made an account, and then I noticed that you had to have Wi-Fi for it. I don’t have Wi-Fi yet so that was a huge bummer. I had to take the LED lights to my dads house to set them up. It was so stupid, I hope that y’all would take that feature out, some people don’t have Wi-Fi. Then I saw the ap mode, my lights aren’t blinking. I’m not sure what to do.

I liked it...but.... Ok so...I like it. But for me..it has some ups and down. I have 4 of these light strips. When I connect one specific one it disconnects and it bugs the hell out of me. The other 3 are fine. They never disconnect. But it's that one that always disconnects. And my Wi-Fi is fine too. But no matter how many times I connect it it always disconnects a few minutes later. But I do like them and I would recommend for future people who would purchase this item. But if you have that same problem I have. Idk what to tell ya. Have fun.

App needs to be updated!. I recently bought the Orb and you can’t connect it to the app! I tried to look it up on google on how to connect it to the app because I’ve been trying to get it work on the app after 2 hours of “failed attempts” and rereading everything on the instructions but all I got was a guy playing with the thing and never turning it on or connecting it to the app. I do however like that you can use it as a desktop decoration as it is a very comforting light that you have the control to make the light dimer or brighter, and you can switch to the 7 different colors it has(you can’t do any of this on the app by the way it’s all on the buttons-_-). So to summarize everything I said here it is “I got scammed because Monster Smart falsely advertised their product>:(“

I enjoy it. I bought the LED lights strips (2 of them) and this app works great with them. I’ve had some issues with the lights flashing when they’re not supposed to and the colors changing when I don’t set them too. I thought it was the strip at first but after going back and buying more they also did the same thing. May be a fault on my end for the extension cord I am using. Over all I do enjoy this product the color wheel was a nice touch and the mood settings. I wish you WiFi wasn’t needed but I do see why it is. Over all an affordable product and a great app.

Won’t connect, very disappointed. Okay I got my new LED lights two days ago, I got the app and started to pair it. Every time I try to pair it, it doesn’t work I’ve tried multiple times but every time it either says can’t find or try again. Personally I think it’s stupid not to include a remote with the package because having all by app is incredibly ridiculous. Not all people have the right internet or don’t have enough money to compliantly change the internet just to fit the means of the LED light. And what if the app isn’t working such as what is happening with mine. Also your instructions are completely inaccurate and hard to follow, if you are looking for good LED lights look for one that at least comes with a remote. Thank you for reading my review and please be cautious.

They work perfectly fine wish there were more colors. I’ve had them for about a week they work fine but I had a hard time getting them to connect to my phone. The one thing that I recommend is that you use the screws that come with the led strips because the tape leaves marks and I have to try to get the marks off my tv.I will most likely get more but put protective stuff over the parts I will put the lights on my tv so they don’t leave any marks.

Fairly good app missing one key feature. I’ve been using the Monster Illuminessence LED lights for about a year, and everything has been really easy to use and integrate with the rest of my smart home devices. The only thing that I consider to be really missing is that there’s no scene automation. You cannot schedule a color or a scene, nor can you put it on a smart automation. Given other smart devices support running scenes in some form, I think this is a key missing piece.

GREAT, but…... Love this app 1,000 percent ! But there is one problem I’ve noticed that doesn’t make much sense to me, most people want to play music off Bluetooth but the music feature of the app only allows you to play music from phone , won’t allow u to play on Bluetooth devices it just stops playing and changes over to ur phone. If this got fixed like maybe using the microphone connected to the phone instead ??? Idk . Great app tho !

A pain to set up. I personally love led lights because I love the feeling and vibe of the room after. I also like it when I have led lights that are not hard to set up. But with these it’s a pain in the behind! It’s been two days and I still can’t figure out how to set it up. I have the app and did everything that it said but it just won’t work. I don’t know how good the lights are right now because I haven’t gotten them to work, but so far it’s a no go. Don’t waste your money on these when you can get better quality for way less

Trash. There are multiple ways to get to the same thing. Makes it confusing for people. You can view your account through settings and if you press your name at the top. That’s dumb and confusing. Nowhere does it say on the box that the lights can work with music. But it can SOMETIMES? Idk do you guys randomly put that feature in every couple boxes? I purchased two & only one can do that and it’s NOT the one I already stuck to something else. So so I have to pull it all off and the adhesive won’t stick. The adhesive isn’t even 3m. It’s trash. I had to use a razor to stick between the adhesive and the paper that covers it. If you pull off the tab you guys left to pull off the adhesive it literally rips off the whole adhesive OFF of the lights meaning you won’t even be able to stick it anywhere. The app is confusing even for a 24 year old tech savvy millennial. I can’t use half the features you listed. This app and product is garbage. Returning it back to Walmart tomorrow. Don’t buy this trash.

Invasive privacy scam. This product requires registration for full functionality, so I’m returning it. You do not need to know all of my contacts, address, phone number, location, wireless info to turn on a light. Here’s the relevant part from the privacy statement. (Which you should read) They even collect info about your cellular company. Buyer beware. “When you interact with our Product, we automatically collect device information, such as the MAC address of your devices, IP address, wireless connection information, operating system type and version, application version number, push notification identifier, log files, and mobile network information.”

Re: “5g not supported.. Correct. Lights are on 2.4mhtz frequency and will not ‘hear’ your phone-over-WiFi-protocol for sh¡T¡! .. There is a frequency choice to be made to force all of your phone’s WiFi communiques to be made on the lower frequency. This means your phone will always be using the lower classification but will allow your lights to get jiggly with it!¡!¡!¡🐾👣🍀

Only 3 colors. So I’ve been using this for a very long time and every single time after about a week or so I only have three colors which is green yellow and red and I just want to ask why is that because I am very unsatisfied and ask for feedback so right now my Feedback is a 2.5 because I am not so satisfied about how like I can’t I don’t have another amount of colors and every week this happens and I have to disconnect it and connect it back which really holds up my time.

Annoying.. I Honestly hate it now, it would unconnected on its own and it takes over 10 tries to reconnect for the light stripes, and I would be right next to the devices too. I would even reset the lights too and it still would take forever it’s like it’s not even trying to connect and it isn’t my wifi because I have very strong wifi, it has never done this before but for the past 3 weeks it’s been doing this.

Great light strips. Great strips for the price. Sometimes turn on and change colors without me telling them to. Used the Tuya app (Tuya is their protocol) for them for a while and am switching back to the monster app to see if they'll stop doing that. Otherwise they are fine. Some strips though seem to be a different hardware than others as they are less advanced in what I can set them to do within the apps. If there's any way to stop them changing colors though feedback would be greatly appreciated

Great for setting the mood in your room or wherever you may use them!. Honestly I don’t know what these complaints are about but this app has worked amazingly and done a quality job to what you would expect with this product. Great functionality and consistent performance has been the best part about using these led’s versus other light fixtures and devices. Thanks, Monster Smart for putting out the best quality for the price! ALSO THE DO SUPPORT 5G which is what my router runs and I’ve had NO PROBLEMS :))

NEEDS AN UPDATE. please please please update this app to work with 5gz wifi. Using the button is inconvenient and makes my experience with this app horrible since it fails to connect to my phone. Also, when i tap the go to settings to enable my bluetooth for the app, it doesn’t show anything about the app asking access for my bluetooth. Please update this app to send a apple pop up that asks for you to enable wifi instead of a link that goes to settings. Please update this immediately )):

Very inconvenient to work with. I have spent SOOO MUCH TIME trying to connect the lightstrip to wifi. Even with me checking off the list to make sure i had 2.4ghz wifi (which for some reason they dont take the stronger 5Ghz). I got them to connect one time and they worked for one night. Then as friends were over, they started blinking again even though my wifi was fine. This company tried to be cool by giving the app to control it, but as its flawed and hard to work with, you would hope to have a remote to work it incase the app stopped. NOPE. They give this singular button attached to the initial wall plug cord, so if you want a different color, you have to get up and play with the button. Just hope you didnt put it up high to the ceiling like majority do but to change it from "white" (which is more so blueish) to red will be a pain.... i would NOT recommend

Great App, no problems. I’ve used this app for about a week now. I have three different light strips connected to the app, but it works great! I’ve added all three to a “group”, so I can simultaneously control them. The color wheel is great, and provides a variety of different colors. As for the scenes, the default ones are good for different occasions. I like that the scenes are customizable so you can adjust flash, color changing speed, and of course the colors. Smart scenes work great too. I set up an “automatic scene” to switch my lights on at 8:30pm and off at 7:30am. Works great with no problems. Overall, I definitely recommend this app and the lights!

Connectivity issues. I’m on a college campus and cannot control my wifi. Because of this I am only able to have access to 5G wifi, some with no password settings. I cannot connect my lights at all after trying numerous times and you cannot connect to a wifi without a password. I have tried every wifi available and bluetooth and nothing will connect. Nothing on the packaging that pairs with the lights mentioned this would be an issue, and navigating the connection process can be difficult.

Terrible, don’t download and return what you bought. This app is the worst. After buying the strip lights it took more than 2.5 hours to connect one strip. After 3 more hours and it’s 1 am I still have yet to connect the second strip. Keeps telling me I need to configure my network then, I will put in my WiFi password at least 100 different times for it to do nothing. Not to mention going to my routing settings turning everything on and off for hours for nothing to work. This piece a garbage belongs in the trash.

Great quality.. I’ve had one of their light strips for about a year, and I’ve gotta say the light quality is great, great variety of colors, brightness and even saturation surprisingly. One small problem; the glue on the light strip is really bad at sticking. Not a big problem, just have to get a little creative.

MUST have wifi. The Wi-Fi in my apartment is spotty so I usually use my phones data when that internet goes out. I got these lights when my internet was out but didn’t think much of it because I can still access internet through my data. WRONG. You don’t just need access to internet you need a wifi connection with internet. I bought these LED strip lights because I figured the app would be more convenient then keeping track of a remote given where the lights are going and so far that’s not the case

Great product.. This product and 3 more for around my home were purchased at Walmart and the price is unbeatable. For the price you may wonder if the quality is up to par. The answer is yes!!! If you swap your modem for whatever reason, the devices still remember all prior settings when reconnecting to the wifi of the new gateway. I’m a residential communications technician with a leading “cable” company so I would not be giving this product five stars if it didn’t deserve it.

App is buggy. I downloaded the app for a set of LED strip lights I installed in a bookcase. The app allows you to set up “tap-to-run” shortcuts that can be run from within the app, or directly from your IOS Home Screen. This is great for turning the bookshelf lights on and off. The problem is that any time my router resets the lights and app lose their connection and I have to 1) reconnect the lights, and 2) rebuild my shortcuts. It’s frustrating to say the least.

Things were going good in the beginning. After almost a month the light in my room were pretty cool but whenever i leave and come back to turn them on their always offline and takes forever to get the app to connect back to them . Right not non of the lights connect to the app Ive tried many days and followed the instructions given. The button on the light never work either and the so called Bluetooth doesn’t even work it never did I’ve always use them with my WiFi. Now they just stay unplugged because i can’t do anything to/ with them . I can’t even change the color. The app needs fixing.

Soured experience.. LED strip no longer works without an internet connection. It doesn't let me choose a color when it clearly has a button connected to the LED strip. I don't have a remote either as it didn't come with one and directed me to use the app. After an internet provider change and now using a 5ghz connection, the strip is useless and only blinks to get connected. The product itself isn't terrible aside from not being able to choose a color and lack of 5ghz support.

Good when it works. App freezes constantly, requires me to do a complete reset and pairing and still freezes. Seems to run fine for a few weeks and then breaks down all over again. There has to be a better way.

Actually bad. Need a pc for the strip lights.

Horrible quality. Led strip is always blinking no matter what mode it’s set it to. I have tried to connect it to every option on the app because the first one wasn’t working and none of them work. I can only use colour changing mode, red, green, or just blinking white. Instructions on the box and manual do not do anything because the lights still fail to connect. Bad quality adhesive, waste of money. If I could give negative stars I would. Don’t spend money on these.

Can’t connect. My lights will not flash even on every method please help

Orb is outdated and a waste. Got the orb, would not set up and requires wifi that’s old and outdated. Not worth the purchase.

Gave up trying. Could not connect. Yes i tried everything. Other lights are connected and work without issues. The power outlet is 2 ft from my router,5 bars on wi-fi but it cannot see this device. I was looking at the”make sure the wi-fi signal is strong and your device is powered on” screen for an hour during at least 15 tries.

Useless. It’s the most useless thing I ever purchase just for 6ft they have a requirements. Believe me Alexa is easy to connect but not this lighting

Glitchy. The app is very glitchy, freezes a lot and barely lets me change the colour of my lights

Tv light strips/ monster smart app. Works great connects no problem app is easy enough, only thing id change is, i would move the on/off button to the middle of the colour dial and make the background customizable.

Terrible Product. The app is pretty well set up but the product itself is cheap garbage. I spent 20 minutes trying to pair it to my app then when I finally connect it I get the limiting choice of Green, Yellow, Orange, and Red. I put it on the “blue” part of the wheel and my lights turn green. I put it on the “purple” part of the wheel, and I get Red. I don’t recommend it You don’t even get a remote if the app isn’t properly working

Useless. After a power outage, my lights stopped working, and I haven’t been able to reconnect them. The LED Strip option is no longer available and after contacting support, they wanted a photo of the barcode and product packaging, which I no longer have (I threw the packaging away months ago because I did not think that this situation would come up). The lights are just hanging around and are basically useless now.

Great buy.. Bought these at Walmart for $10 and they completely change the mood of the room. Plenty of color choices, and the “scene” section allows you to set a rotation of colors. Overall great product with no complaints.

The app is nice. I don’t know why so many people are we having bad reviews, because this app and the light strips that I have are awesome! This company is awesome, and made a great quality app that goes great with their home products. Everything is working superb for me right now, and I am very satisfied!

Bluetooth. Installed this app, figured out I had to sign up for an Internet of Things account to control the light using 2.4G wifi that is connected to the internet. Wish there was to control the light without internet. This app mentions Bluetooth and it is enabled on my phone but will not see it as being turned on.

Typical. It comes to no surprise these don’t connect to my wifi. Just like any other “smart” wifi devices the app is completely different than the actual manual, there’s buttons you’re supposed to press that aren’t there, bluetooth connectivity doesn’t exist in settings, the “ez mode” to connect the lights says device not responding when the lights clearly respond to being connected. Pretty much worthless and underdeveloped.

Okay. They worked great for about 5 months but then all of a sudden the app started saying that my device was offline. When I wasn’t so I cannot control them. They just stay on white.😂 I don’t know if you can do anything but

Great App & Product. This is a really great product! I’m able too pick from a whole bunch of different colors and mood types and it’s a very affordable price. Well worth the money I recommend this product and app for anyone getting into smart home devices

unclear instructions, hard to use.. got an led lights strip for christmas and the led strip would NOT connect to my phone. took about 20 attempts for them to finally work. then the next day i plug the lights back in because i unplugged them to go to sleep, the led lights won’t connect to the app and they’re just flashing. it says they’re offline when they’re not. i tried everything to connect them back but it’s simply not working. waste of my time. i recommend the LED lightbulb by geeni, a better alternative.

Great until now. It was really good until now because it’s telling me my device is offline when it isn’t so it’s been pretty annoying lately

Great app Abby. It’s is not laggy I have had my light for over a year and no problems I would rate it five stars if they added a feature that you're light would chance colors to go with the music you're listening to

Absolutely horrible. This is incredibly frustrating and annoying I kept trying to connect the lights through the monster app and it wouldn’t work

Very disappointed :(. I bought two of the LED strips to put in my room, and I followed all the instructions. I triple checked my wifi and the password, made sure everything was correct and met qualifications, and the strips wouldn’t connect to the app. This was very frustrating because I made sure there wasn’t an issue with anything on my end, the lights just wouldn’t connect. I’m only giving two stars because they worked for my friend. :(

Please Fix Bluetooth!. I bought a multitude of your products and they work perfectly. I have one issue and it’s the problem with Bluetooth connections with the App itself. If you can fix Bluetooth permissions and have it connect properly to the products I bought I’d highly appreciate that. It’s genuinely hard trying to connect them and having no luck. Please fix this.

Recommendation to the Devs. Add a way to have buttons for long press. It would make life much easier. Currently I am forced to open the app in order to shut my lights off. Only upside is the account SOMETIMES keeps your devices connected. Very simple app, would recommend trying to find a work around.

Couldn’t add my device. I got led lights from a different company and when I tried to add them it wasn’t working. I was close enough to where it should connect but it wasn’t connecting. It might have been because there was no pairing button. I tried a different app that wasn’t as good and it paired with the les lights. This one just doesn’t work with mine.

Will not connect. A friend of mine bought these about a month ago & I decided I needed a new LED strip myself. Figured Monster is a reputable brand & I like that it had a handy app I could use. I have been trying to connect my lights for about 2 HOURS........ and they have yet to connect. I have double-checked every step & tried numerous alternatives.. There is no on/off button, zero reset button, no remote... Extremely disappointed. I should’ve gone with the Walmart brand LED strip.

Not great but has potential. If you have a 5G network, this product becomes completely obsolete. Pairing requires 2G - if you don’t have that like literally everyone else, you won’t be able to use your product and it’s screwed. Not to mention connecting is terrible and it constantly says that my product is offline after we got a 2G router. This product provided a terrible experience and I’m extremely disappointed.

Not working at all. I would love for these lights to work. I got my kids these lights for Christmas but they are so much work we have been trying for them to work for 2 hours now and we still have no luck for them to work. It is extremely annoying. We connect to the WiFi but it does not work. I have no clue what to do to fix these lights. I have watched video after video after video to try as well nothing helped. It is NOT as easy as it looks like. So if anyone can help in anyway that will be great.

Great Led lights. I have had these lights for a while now the only problem is a shortage on one end in them where it changes a different color then doesn’t have any color. Other than this small thing these are great led lights. The hardest part of these are the installation process.

help. First time purchasing these lights and im sure i regret it. Like they work and all Only problem is EVERYTIME i try to connect with the app. Keeps saying soemthing went wrong. and eveything seems to be fine like bluetooth wifi and all. And im talking about the 4 pack of sound reactive lights for the vehicle. ITS SO frustrating.

App Bluetooth issues. The app constantly says turn on Bluetooth even though both devices are in pairing mode. Apple says contact the app developer. Wouldn’t recommend until the app is fixed. I installed mine on the ceiling so now I have to climb up just to turn them on and off. Cool product but the if I could work them from my phone I’d give it 5 stars

Five starts but... They are pretty good and fantastic this night I had the color red when i woke up the lights where off even though they where connected i went to the app and it said my lights where offline i dont know what that means and now my LED lights are flickering.?

It works but still fails after certain times. When updating my iPhone or changing the WiFi password. The app itself refuses to connect/pair with the lights and the lights don’t want to pair at all. Typically I wait a few months for this issue to be fixed but it shouldn’t be like that. I tried all ways of resetting and restarting but none of it works. It’s a terrible app and bad service

Great product. Quality product. Very user friendly. The led is very bright and the app you use for the lights is user friendly. Don’t buy any other product other than monster.

Works on 2.4hz only. So, I love how simple these are to set up and use...but it won’t work on 5G Wi-Fi...it’s getting harder and harder to use them when there aren’t many 2.4 Wi-Fi set ups around. It’s cool at home because I can select the 2.4 on my router, but I have the strip inside a snare drum and it’s pointless to take the snare to gigs when I can’t use a 5G Wi-Fi.

I use it all the time!. It was unnecessarily difficult to set up and connect to my phone but now that I’ve got it figured out I used it all the time! So simple and so many options absolutely worth it!

M.. This was supposed to connect with my device. When I did get it and click on the scenes it works, but the timers and the button that changes my lights, only goes to my original scenes and makes me edit them each time I use them. I am really frustrated too when I looked up if you could cut these and it said yes, but mine just died and will not connect even when I cut it in the directed spot. I’m really mad.

Amazing Product!. Super easy to use! It took a couple minutes, but I just had to read the instructions given! Only works with 2.4 ghz WiFi and to pair you have to hold the button for 5-10 seconds!

This app a $$ saver. It’s awesome and it controls much more than monster products GIVE IT A TRY and it wouldn’t hurt to throw in a little donation to monster after you find out how much you like it and how easy it is to use!!!! Bill younger aka “COWBOY “

Suggestion. It would be much better if you could play music while the lights flash but without having to log u out of certain Bluetooth devices.

APP DOES NOT WORK. I spent my money and bought the LED strips and they work fine . Lights are blinking and the only way to set the lights up is through the app . I’ve downloaded the app at least 3 different times in a two week span . I gave it time to see if the app would work before I would return the lights. This is my fourth time downloading the app and it still doesn’t work . It keeps crashing and it doesn’t even open up . I’m disappointed with this app !

Flex lights. The first time to use this product i was hooked!!! Meaning i was like a fish with a hook in my lip, i had to get more no matter the price. For around $30 per unit of 6’ it is worth every inch. Thanks for such a amazing product. Are they waterproof? I would love to see this on boats. Thanks, Mack

It’s an okay app. It’s pretty cool and has cool features like picking scenes and scenarios for all ready made colors. The problem is sometimes it just goes offline and you have to reconnect it all over again and it gets annoying but other than that it’s a solid 7/10

Confusing. It says my Wifi needs to be a certain something i don’t understand why my LED’s cant just connect with bluetooth cant do it cause something with my wifi

Pretty good. Loses 2 stars because they are pretty difficult to set up and there isn’t much on the internet to help you. Putting them up was also a process because two of the clips you use to hang them up broke and you can’t find them anywhere so be careful not to break or lose them. Other than that they are pretty nice and the app is very good.

If you see this at Walmart, DONT BUY. This is trash! Stop false advertising, You cant even connect to the wifi for it too work! I have 5GHZ and it's saying I need to lower it to 2GHZ in order for it to work and 2GHZ is the slowest connection you might as well not have Wi-Fi I paid 13 dollars for these lights! I've tried everything on the instruction paper. Still doesn't work, waste of money, if you see these LED lights that's synced to this app on the box, DO NOT BUY!

Led lights taken out of connection options. I bought an led strip and due to a loose outlet it went to pairing mode, then when i went to pair it the led strip isn’t in the connection options. Before this i’ve had multiple problems connecting my device which shouldn’t happen because it’s plug into the same outlet as my wifi router. Overall had a bad experience with your product and app.

NEEDS AN UPDATE. please please please update this app to work with 5gz wifi. Using the button is inconvenient and makes my experience with this app horrible since it fails to connect to my phone. Also, when i tap the go to settings to enable my bluetooth for the app, it doesn’t show anything about the app asking access for my bluetooth. Please update this app to send a apple pop up that asks for you to enable wifi instead of a link that goes to settings. Please update this immediately )):

Trying to connect it. I’ve never had led lights before these strip lights are my first ones and I’m trying to connect them so I can change the color and do thing with it I’ve been trying for the past 45 minutes and it still doesn’t work I think it’s because of my wifi it’s to good I guess but you guys need to make it so this can be compatible with good wifi please

App is not clear enough. I’ve had the light strip for probably about 2 years now, I’ve been trying to connect my new phone to the strip and everything I do, it won’t work. I don’t know if this is a hardware or the apps issue. I make sure I was on the right Wi-Fi, Bluetooth was on, the indicator was blinking. This is just crappy in itself and needs to be fixed.

A dark mode UI please. Great app overall but please make a dark version of the app’s UI. It’s annoying to have to access the app in low light and be blinded by the white-only UI. A dark mode would be greatly appreciated.

NOT CONNECTING (FIXED). Ok so It kept telling me error connecting UNTIL I changed it to AP MODE and read the ap mode instructions in the app where it said to do a lot of connecting/ disconnecting to the power until the lights SLOWLY blinked!!! After that you connect to the hotspot of the device itself and VOILA....IT CONNECTS!!!!

Great quality.. I’ve had one of their light strips for about a year, and I’ve gotta say the light quality is great, great variety of colors, brightness and even saturation surprisingly. One small problem; the glue on the light strip is really bad at sticking. Not a big problem, just have to get a little creative.

Flex+. This app so cool I never seen one like this it have so many features like you can set when to turn on or off by its self. Or li how long you want it it stay on before it's off and more you try it and tell me.

What the actual heck.. I got LED lights from this brand and was very excited to turn them on! I was even more excited when I found out that you can use your phone as a remote for it. I downloaded the app, and followed the instructions to a literal T. Still would not connect. I tried again. Nope. I tried about 5 more times and gave up. This app doesnt give very clear and detailed instructions, it doesn’t have any other WAY to pair it. Honestly, if I could give zero stars I would.

Good Review. The app is all around good its easy and simple , and the instructions in box and in app are pretty clear on how to connect , pair , and trouble shoot z, ive had mine for about a year now and they still are amazing

Too many problems. Low quality devices.. -Can’t paste a new pass. -Cant use a pass longer than 20 characters. -Can’t move forward or back with spacebar select. -Cheap devices die after 6m months. I have exactly 2/6 devices that lasted longer than 6 months. -Cheap devices reset themselves after 1 or two power cycles forcing a re-setup in app scenario. (exceptionally annoying)

Needs a dark mode. When ever i am about to turn off my lights it wakes me up and it gets kind of annoying (my phone is set to dark mode) it’s just kind of inconvenient to some people to be woken up when they want to go to bed, otherwise, it’s really great and I love it

they won’t connect?. they do not work. At first they connected and everything was fine but when I went on the app to change the color, it said device could not be found. I even tried restarting my phone! All they do is blink on one color. You can also not turn them off unless you unplug it. I would not buy these.
