Education in a game format. My special needs kid had been using this app to practice her matching skills and it has really helped her. Highly recommended.

Disappointed. We wasted our money. Most of the children in the software weren’t happy about their words. My son don’t t want to repeat because they are grumpy. The worst is the system recognizes every whispers like even my son makes 'umm' sounds.

good performance. I highly recommend it. We really have so much fun playing this with our daughter, and she always asks to play it. It’s become a part of our daily routine. hi all. I recently bought Otsimo and it has been great. My 3 year old really enjoys checking out the exercises and always asks to redo them after we do the animal noises and other activities.

Keeps crashing!!. I would love to try the app and help my kids who are 2 and 1 and after reading reviews I thought this would be the perfect way to do so but as soon as I purchased the pro account the app won’t stop crashing! It took me multiple reloads to just get the kids accounts set up. Highly disappointed

My kid love it 🤍🤍🤍. Me and my kid love Otsimo Speech Therapy. My kid is 4 and it helps him lots. The games is real fun and he be learning new words all the time. I seen a big difference since he start using it. Easy to use too!

Low quality engagement, not motivating for my son.. Not sure why this app has high reviews. We tried it all day with my 2.5 yr old autistic son. He was not engaging with the content, presented activities didn’t really motivate participation, and overall I don’t think it is worth any payments required post trial.

Amazing app. I'm really happy with Otsimo Speech Therapy. It's the only app I've found that has different exercises for kids with different speech problems, including articulation, oral motor, fluency, and phonological awareness. My son has been using it for a few months now and his speech has improved dramatically!

Guiding Steps. So proud of my baby! We use this app along with her speech therapy sessions, and it’s helped her improve faster. It’s like having a speech therapist at home. The interactive features keep her engaged, and we’ve seen a boost in her confidence and articulation. A big thumbs up!

Fishy!. Everything loads well except when you need the to adjust your subscription. It feels like a trap because I’ve been unable to access it. It’s been loading ever since...

Too expensive. I would love to give a better star review, but just to try it there’s only 3 words, that most babies already know how to say. To get anymore, there’s a 70% off sale for $4.50 per month. That’s just horrible. How will I even know if it helps, if there’s only 3 words, Mommy, baby, and I forget the 3rd that are free. Don’t waste you time or storage space on this app, unless you’re will to put money out for it.

My 3 1/2 year old was not interested. I was extremely excited to download this app since I saw so many good reviews. The first day we opened the app he was happy to see himself and giggled. Then the kids repeating the words scared him and he ran away screaming. We tried a few times and he definitely didn’t enjoy it. The kids voices weren’t very clear and even if you turn down the volume it was still not very clear. I cancelled the subscription I hope I’m not charged for the full year I don’t think we had it installed for more than a week.

We love it. My child has really liked this app! He loves repeating after the kids on the videos, and we can track his progress easily. Great app from Otsimo! It’s not just a learning tool; it’s also a source of fun and entertainment for our little one. We’ve seen a boost in his confidence and speech development since we started using it.

Disappointed. Why do the matching games use identical images 90% of the time? Even in hard mode! Love the matching of two similar images that represent a given concept, but matching identical images is a different and much simpler learning goal. It’s a good challenge for a 1 yr old or chimpanzee in the lab, but I was hoping to see more matching of non-identical images.

Rip off. I had paid for the app, and it also had pulled from my Apple Pay but it keeps showing that I don’t have a subscription and that I need to pay for it when I’ve put money into this.

It’s not great. My son didn't engage with the app. It was just drills of words. I wish the audio was better and I would've liked to see more diversity in the actors. One of the actors seemed to have speech difficulties himself and I am not really enthused about getting my son to mimic him. Unfortunately, I would not recommend. In contrast to another app, this app did excel in a feature where it gave the user a path to learning words. Note* I did not use the app beyond the free trial. Your results may vary.

started. I am a Speech Language Pathologist and I primarily work with kids with autism. After using Otsimo for a few weeks, I actually started seeing big improvements in my students' speech and language skills. It looks like an app has finally got the right angle on teaching these kids how to form words and speak.

No help. The app is stuck on one activity which has cause a major melt down with my son. He cannnot move on to different activities and it is playing the same video over and over again. I can’t even access the main menu. After paying $50 I am extremely disappointed.

I can’t thank you enough. My son has 2nd level autism, and he HAD speech delay. Why I am writing HAD, because he had it until I found this incredible application. My husband, me, his speech therapist - everybody was trying to make him to say at least mom and dad, but no success. When I downloaded this app I thought at least he will play games. After ONE WEEK I saw how my son is imitating lip movements of the kids from the screen, but still no sound and it already was a miracle for us at least he tries to imitate. After 2 WEEKS he said his first words MOM,MOM,MOM, then DAD,DAD,DAD. OMG my husband And I were in tears. Because psychologist said he may never speAk, and now after 6 months he is putting 2-3 words together, sometimes making short sentences. For someone else it may seem pretty normal for a kid at his 32 months to say these words, but for a mom with a kid with autism its a miracle. Thank you so much for this application.

Not a Free App. After downloading, sharing information about my child, and creating a login, I discovered that this app wanted to charge a monthly fee. It also indicated that I could have a 1 week free trial, but wouldn’t go past that screen.

verbal expression beginning. Got this app for my little brother after his teacher recommended it. He has so much fun playing with it, and his pronunciation got a lot better. Great app. It’s not just educational; it’s a source of joy for him. Learning through play has never been this effective.

Recommend. This app isn’t just got minors I’m 30 years old and after having 4 strokes before the age 28 this app has helped me relearn how to speak I still struggle with shudder but I am getting there thank to this app

Please fix filters for selfies. This app is pretty good for all the foundations of speech such as learning mouth movements. My main complaint though is that the filters for taking pictures end up turning upside down each time so I am constantly trying to turn the iPad different ways for my toddler. The little selfies are a big motivator so I wish that part would work better.

Help?. This sounds like an amazing app for my kiddo and his struggles with speech but once I downloaded I am unable to get past a mostly white screen. I cannot even get to the subscribe page to get started. Am I the only one experiencing this?

Not SLP. This is not a bad app but it’s dishonest marketing. It’s not a replacement for SLP services and could delay parents in seeking out services which means missing valuable time in therapy. It’s not individualized and literally just works on imitation. Working on imitation is great but it does not target play skills, could delay AAC or signs, does not increase functional communication, and does not help articulation.

Subscription based.. Not sure why the app says in store purchases leading people to believe that you can use the app at no cost. And like many apps for the better services or more advanced you can buy extras in the App Store. I hate that. Seems misleading. Just say subscription based right from the purchase information. A lot of apps like this. Very misleading.

Otsimo really. Otsimo really made a difference with my autistic daughter. we’re already using the special education aac app and I only found the app after using other one for close to 9 months. Both works great for my kid

Best app for speech delay !! Give it a try !. I swear this is the best app you can find for kids who have delays in speech ! i tried so many apps for my toddler ( alomost 3 yrs old ) who has speech delay nothing helped her !!! I downloaded otsimo speech app and in just two weeks my daughter started to say a lot of words !!

It’s good. Still crashes.. It’s a great app. It’s a shame it crashes every ten minutes and seems to loose all progress. Also, if my son says any sound, it counts it towards the word he’s learning. So if he says “dad” instead of “mom” it still says it counts. A few bugs need working out. Overall, not a bad app.

Can’t Understand - heavy accents. This is a great idea, but the kids featured on the video had very heavy accents. This made my son pronounce things with what I can only describe as a Spanish or Brazilian accent. Huge waste of money. It was really expensive to just make my child regress ☹️. I went with Dotcomtherapy instead and it’s been a god send.

recommended. The doctor recommended that we use Otsimo Speech Therapy to practice his speech and vocabulary skills. I have been pleased with the content, exercises, and the games that my son has been practicing.

Confidence!. otsimo speech therapy helps our child speak with confidence. the interactive lessons and peer mimicking method keep our little one engaged and excited to learn. we’ve seen a significant improvement in his speech, and he now speaks with more clarity and assurance. it’s a must-try for parents looking to support their child’s speech development.

Difficult to cancel. I downloaded this in the hopes of trying before buying. However you have to subscribe in order to do anything. The first 7 days are free but it was ridiculously hard to cancel the subscription. I kept receiving emails saying I requested to change my password not cancel subscription. Total headache and waste of time!

Transaction system bug. I downloaded this app for a annual membership which provide 7 days free trial. I tried this app and it was too simple for my son so I cancelled the subscription right away. It turned out the expiration date will be a year later which means the 7 day free trial didn’t exist. I don’t know if it is a bug but I’m not happy with this!

Bug needs fixed. I bought the premium today and everything is still locked, it takes me buy the subscription and then says I already bought it. My son was really excited to use this

Garbage. I tried this on the seven day free trial - which you can only get if at the end the can charge you over $50, get cant trial if you intend to roll into monthly, which is sketchy to begin. The kids - who others have noted have pretty heavy accents - just repeat the words, and it is like the app is hearing the kids say the words and so tells my kid good job whether she said anything at all. Haven’t tried the app “Speech Blubs” yet, because I tried this one first because it was cheaper. Seems like this may be a cheap (well, cheaper, because it’s certainly not cheap!) knockoff of that app. Long story short, don’t waste your time or money.

My child and I love the app BUT. For some reason we paid for the monthly subscription and no free trial . And every time we click an animal it won’t let us continue it takes us to the subscription page . Like we did this so many times . We even upgraded our subscription thinking that was the problem. But no :( wish it worked

really good for speech boost. I cannot express how excited I am to tell you about my experience with Otsimo Speech Therapy. This is by far the best speech app for children I have tried so far. Even if your kid doesn’t have any speech problem it's such a fun way to learn new words and improve articulation and I cannot recommend this enough! There are no articles about Otsimo that don't rave about it and rightly so. My daughter is very engaged and confident now, getting better at her speech and having fewer mistakes. I love this app and would recommend it to anyone looking for something to boost their kid’s speech.

2 separate apps. I'm already paying for the other app. Why not allow the subscription to be for both. Or just made it be one app all together. People really be out here money hungry and taking advantage of parents trying to help their children.

am lovin it!. I just have to say, Otsimo Speech Therapy is AMAZING! My daughter's speech has improved sooo much since using this app. And the speech recognition thingy? WOW! It gives instant feedback on pronunciation. Seriously, I can't recommend this app enough! Thank you, Otsimo team, you rock!

Fun way to practice your articulation. I am a speech therapist and have been using this app for homework with my clients. The kids really like the interaction between their speech and the video camera. It could be more accurate but overall I can recommend it.

Steal people money. I went for the free trial and they charged me for both monthly and annual subscriptions!! Nobody can be billed for two subscriptions! let alone that it was supposed to be only a trial!!! AVOID THIS APP!!

App Crashing. With every use, the app crashes after interpreting sound. The concept is great, but not if it crashes constantly.

Not worth it. Tried the app and it doesnt work well with the ipad. The kids have that are used on the app either speak too fast or have some type of speech impediment which is ridiculous for a speech therapy app. We used it for a month and i feel like i wasted my money.

A joke.. Decided to give this app a try to assist with my 5 year olds speech. Ten minutes in I hear him saying thirsty as tirsy......turns out it was not him, it was the child in the app. How is this supposed to help a child pronounce words correctly if the children recorded in the app are not even saying it correctly?

five stars!!. my kid absolutely adores the filters! they motivate him to do more activities and his articulation has significantly improved since we started using this app. we love it!

Malfunction. After every 2 minutes in the app the words the kids are saying become significantly distorted and the only fix is to completely restart the app. Very frustrating.

Not that useful. It’s just a marketing scam. Only a few words have videos, rest, just a kid repeats the word. Not useful at all. And I’m pretty sure I singed up for monthly but it charged me yearly subscription

Took my money before free trail. I decided to try out the free trial but it took out $58 from my account right away.

Terrible. There’s no way to see if it is right for my daughter because it forces you to make a payment first.

Totally worthless. SCAM. My daughter loved this app & since she’s 3.5 years old but still has a lot of trouble forming words (only able to say maybe 5 words clearly/that other people can understand) - despite understanding at least 90% of the English language, I purchased an annual subscription without hesitation. I regret that decision greatly, as now we cannot afford another app. She did great with Otsimo at first & even started speaking a lot more clearly. But that didn’t last, as we had a lot of issues that I initially thought was caused by the audio from the children speaking within the app - so I purchased her a headset. That did nothing & she soon reverted back to the way she spoke before. After that, I realized even when she didn’t make a single sound in a quiet room, the app would pass her & she’d be taken to the next level. I’ve never been so infuriated with an app & feel extremely cheated. Its unbelievably cruel & disgusting that a company would take advantage of children with speech delay and/or special needs. It makes me sick. I unsubscribed to Otsimo & at the end of the year I plan to use Homer for educational support. However to parents looking for a cheaper alternative to apps aimed directly at speech therapy: We just discovered “Paw Patrol Academy” which has some pretty cool games directed towards letters & their sounds. Since pretty much every toddler these days is obsessed with Paw Patrol, I’d say that’s one which is definitely worthy of a subscription, even if it doesn’t work out specifically for speech related issues. [Our story] My daughter’s issues stem from/started with extremely low confidence due to emotional abuse from her father, which then forced us to bounce from home to home and now we are stuck in limbo as we wait for our forever-home to be built. She gave up on everything, and is now severely behind on everything too. She even had to get 90% of her teeth capped because of the damage her father did (which screwed up her confidence even more, as well as making it harder for her to speak clearly)… no child deserves a mouth full of silver teeth. Where we live, the wait time to see any pediatric therapist is 17 months - not even taking into account the wait time to see a therapist within a more specialized field such as speech pathology. So… there’s no choice but to use whatever resources we have at our disposal. So with that said, it makes me even more sick for an app like this to scam innocents. My little girl has been through enough suffering. Shame on you for making life even harder for my sweet girl - who goes above & beyond to make every single person around her happy (both loved ones & total strangers). Please do NOT purchase a subscription to this app. If you are still determined to do so after reading this review (and the other negative reviews which I somehow missed), try a monthly subscription first - NOT annual. I wish I hadn’t been so hasty to spend +$50 on this app, but I got so excited when she showed such interest in it & I genuinely just want what’s best for my little girl - who is literally my entire world and I’d do absolutely anything for (which means I’ll be single the rest of my life and I am totally content with that if it means she is happy, healthy, and never feels less than my everything). Login access. I try to get the account info and my code say wrong even though I know it’s right.

Scam. The app was very hard to use. A kids face repeating the word over and over with a slight accent and lisp could lead to more problems developing my sons speech. I wanted a simple refund which was denied by APPLE. I KNEW THE APP WAS NOT FOR MY SON AND I IMMEDIATELY ASK TO STOP CHARGES BUT MY CARD WAS STILL CHARGED AND NOBODY WOULD RESPOND TO ME. Stay AWAY from this app.

Don’t bother. There is literally almost nothing that you can access during the free trial. How will you know if it works for your child if you can’t access anything?

interactive. The app is very interactive and it motivates my kids to practice speaking and vocabulary.

Unrealistic. It ask my child to make the F sound yet my child made just random noises and it still rewarded him. What kind of sense does that make? If youre going to teach it, then teach it right.
