OMG I love this app. This is the best journal app I have ever got. When I first got the app I put in a review and made a suggestion for changes that I think should be made. And I suggested they should get rid of the membership because a great app and many people would love it and some people can’t afford it so it would be great for it to be all free. Within a few minutes of me posting that message to them, the answered. And better yet it was not a automatic feedback it was a real person that had typed it and it was written very good. If I were you and thinking about getting this app I would definitely get it I think it is great and I will most likely never delete it. Thank you so much Jour I love this app!

Best Journaling App Out There. I’ve tried many different journaling apps but this is truly the best one out there. It requires no recurring payment like most apps, it has a wonderful aesthetic that I haven't found anywhere else and all of the different categories really make it stand out. 6/19- adding onto my review! I really love the redesign. This is one of the few times a redesign has actually made an app even better. These are some improvements that I think can be made: I really love the Daily Jour feature and I wish that in addition to the one the app provides, we could also have a feature where the user inputs questions for themselves and then get them after the app’s Daily Jour in the same type of aesthetic with the colors and the questions but it would be custom. I’m a high school student and I wish they had a section specifically for school (and maybe even work) stress because I think it’s something that a lot of people struggle with and I really love the categories like “Unsent Letter” and “In my Dreams.”

A light in my darkest moments. I recently lost my grandfather who was my everything. My first loss and it really broke me. My depression began to swirl into not feeling successful and I had no outlet to even work through my grief. I then stumbled on this app. It asks you a few questions about what your stressors and how you’re feeling. You journal each day and it really prompts you to talk about what worries you and what weights you down. There are also guided journals and even week goals. This app has various methods of journaling that I’ve come to enjoy. I’ve used this app as a way to work through my grief and understand my emotions as I come to terms. I haven’t even had to purchase the subscription but I’m sure it’s outstanding. I’m so grateful for this app and what it has helped me through. Thank you so much.

I need this in my life.. I have never felt like I actually have a chance to change so many things in my life. Ever. Until just now. Only thing, is I can’t afford it. So that just got blown through the roof. Might as well go ahead and end my trial. I don’t want to get even more excited about it when it isn’t even possible. Man, this could be really beneficial to… not just me BUT MOST EVERYONE! I just got news that my child can not come back to school until she has some serious progress with being able to stay seated at her desk. She will be 4 years old next month and has been affected so negatively by this pandemic, as well as our whole family. It has broke us down. Anyways I said all of that to say.. I really would love to be able to use this app more than 7 days. It seems so helpful. I’m so bummed about knowing that after 7 days it will be ended. I wish they accepted insurance.

Awesome App!!!. I definitely agree with the person who said that even with the basic plan you can still get a lot of about this app I love how in the daily journaling section when you pick how are you feel it gives you different prompts depending on how you feel for example if you say that I’m feeling angry then tI will give you prompts about like what made you mad and that kind of stuff or if you feel anxious it would make you think about what kind of things you can do to make you relax and it’s not just like any old mindfulness have to ask the same questions every time I also have like how they have like different journals for different things so for example they have a dream journal where they talk about what you think your dreams could be telling you or a letter that you write to yourself for when you’re feeling angry and they have all sorts of things so yeah so I think that’s pretty amazing even though I don’t have the premium version which definitely unlocks a lot more features so if you want to get it then you should but for me I’m fine with a basic version it’s still pretty awesome and I’m pretty happy with it and I would totally recommend downloading it if you’re interested in journaling for the first time or if you’re just interested in journaling about your mental health in general so yeah I really enjoy this app and there wasn’t there would be nothing that I would change about it

Beauty in Simplicity. I rarely write out reviews, however, I wanted to share my thoughts on Jour. This app provides easy, step by step guidance on starting your journaling routine. It has a nice collection of topics ranging from making a change to starting a dream journal. Two things I love most about this app is the absence of a paywall and encryption of your personal data. There is no paywall screen pushing you to subscription only the simple beauty of letting you write to your heart’s content. Everything is free (for now) and I know that as a new app this will inevitably change. My only wish going forward is that Jour continues to help new users journal for free and limit the need to place too much content/special features behind a paywall. It’s a beautiful app doing a beautiful thing especially for those who need a safe space to share their innermost thoughts.

Wishing I didn’t purchase the premium plan. I love the UI and the intentions of this app. I’ve been using it for about 2 months, and shortly after I started, I doubled down and purchased the upgrade. At first, I was impressed... but after two weeks, I started to realize all of the prompts were repetitive, such as “who is a person that inspires you?” The Insights are really basic analytics that don’t allow you to dig deeper into the data, but you do see (basically) a word cloud of all your emotions over the week/month, etc. I think I just had higher expectations for functionality. I’ve still found some value from the app, but paying for a yearly subscription is a mistake that I will eventually have to forgive myself for purchasing. Meanwhile, I’ve found a more robust and (seemingly) more data driven journaling and CBT app that offers deeper insights, patterns and analytics that are based on entries, moods, thoughts, behaviors. So, if you’re looking for something a little lighter and fluffier (nothing wrong with that!), check out Jour for a couple months before paying. If you’re looking for something to provide data, actions, insights, exercises, fresh journaling prompts, etc. I recommend taking the app CBT Companion for a test drive, too. Either way, lesson learned. I don’t need to pay money for something that is shiny, beautiful and new, until I kick the tires a bit and taken it for a test drive. Just food for thought.

BEST APP EVER!!!!😃😁👍. This is a awesome game it’s calming and nice and good and I recommend this game for you if you are in a ruff patch or you just want to write down your feelings I figured out something crazy and I felt bad and weird in so many ways and I thought to get a journal game and this is what i thought when I saw this oh this might be good then I downloaded this and I had to pick what made me mad or if i was sad or happy or annoyed and then i had to do a few more things and after it made a personalized journal! And even the journal was great! It was based on what I put in I honestly LOVED it SO MUCH here is a example of how great it is ,think of the greatest thing you know but imagine it 1 MILLION times better and that is how good this game is. Edit; one more thing I love how in reviews the developer response they are all different and true because some apps robots response the same and its like they put in real stuff and thoughts one last thing if the person who made this game read this. 👉 YOU ARE A PURE GENIUS AND PLEASE MAKE MORE GAME LIKE THIS ONE AND YOU ARE SOOOOOOOOOO AWESOME!!!!!!!🤞🥺☺️😁😇🙂🙄

Love this app <3. Hello, so this app is really helpful to me at least because i can let someone know how im feeling and i can just pick what it making me feel this way. I dont know but I feel so calm after i say how i feel like if it a friend to me. im also doing this because im doing a weight loss journey but also a more calmer state like to not be so stress. I really love this and hopefully i make it through my goals, this app will help me through it ❤️🌷 thank you so much guys for making this app I dont know what i would do without it 🌸 another edit: but i think there should be some changes like to be able to access some of the articles because some people might wanna know what alan mind has to say and you have to pay just saying but you never know what somebody is going through and wanna find theirselves or learn. But still good for checking up on us ✨✨

Journaling made easy. I’ve tried journaling the old fashioned pen and paper way, and let me tell you I have a ton of unfinished journals lying around at home. I think the idea of staring at a blank piece of paper is daunting, because the options are endless. Jour makes it so much easier. The three prompt system makes it easier to get the ideas flowing. It’s been a few days already and I never thought I would say this but I look forward to using this app everyday. With traditional journals I always dreaded opening up that blank page and writing each boring and mundane detail of my day, but Jour makes it easy to share the thoughts, feelings, and experiences that have really impacted you that day. Give it a shot! You won’t regret it.

Never thought it could work for me. I am not big on showing my personal emotions, let alone explicitly sharing them with someone. As a result, I sometimes have a hard time cooling down and simply understanding where I stand on many topics bugging me all day long. Keeping everything inside is not sustainable, you have to vent and release the pressure at some point and this is exactly what Jour has helped me with. When things gets blurry (pretty much every day) I take 5 min on Jour to sit down, follow the prompts guiding you through identifying how and why you are feeling a certain way. It takes a ridiculously little amount of time, allows me to shed the light on what really is the issue and also what is actually going very well in my life. I always feel better afterwards. My 5 min routine with Jour always make me focus on the positive and set me up to tackle the bad things with a constructive mindset. I love it.

Absolutely Amazing!. This app is amazing, it has insights, tons of questions to prompt about your day, different plans to start, and specific topics to help you overcome the feels of any sort! If you’ve not journaled before (I hadn’t until I downloaded this app), then this is the absolute perfect app for you!! There’s even an introduction to journaling plan to help you along your way. There’s two different membership options, you can either stick with the basic, free version (which is what I have now), or you can upgrade to pay either monthly or yearly to unlock all of the plans and such. I’m seriously considering upgrading because this app is so amazing even just with the basics! I don’t feel as though I need to upgrade, I’d just like to support these developers and I’d love to take a look at more of the plans. I’ve been having trouble sleeping, but journaling on Jour has really helped me, and I wasn’t sure that it would make much of a difference. If you’re even considering buying this app I’d encourage you to do so! The art is beautifully soothing, and the moods to choose from are plentiful, I never feel as though I’ll have to settle for something close enough to what I’m feeling. If the developers read this review, thank you SO much for all the time you’ve invested into this app, it’s so helpful and amazing!

#1 Journal App !. As a writer myself, I used to love the idea of having a journal on my phone, especially as a teenager. So, like anyone who wants something, I searched. I’ve tried a plethora of different journaling apps that all either 1- require payment at some point or have a premium subscription which limits what you can do.. 2- do not have a real point to them. Nothing makes them very unique other than the layout. But Jour has a purpose. You can write daily reflections to help you set goals and look back on them weeks later. The app also offers journaling ideas/tips as well as exercises for when you’re anxious and ideas on how to heal and grow. Now, I spend a fair amount of money on aesthetically pleasing, durable physical journals that fit my personality for that period in my life, but Jour delivers aesthetic prompts that take ten minutes tops to be more present, and invest in yourself.

A Fantastic Mindful Approach to Journaling. What a fantastic app! I have tried many journaling apps in the past, and have found none of them to be particularly motivating. Most are just a blank slate, and as journaling is not really my thing, I find it hard to get going in those. Some provide you with prompts, but I’ve never felt like the prompts got me anywhere. Jour is different. I’ve been struggling with serious depression, and the current pandemic and the California wildfires have made it increasingly difficult to handle my emotions in a healthy way. I’ve been clinging on for dear life. Just a single session with Jour and I found myself smiling, sitting here at my desk and thinking about how great it is to have a place to sit and write. I haven’t tried the paid features, and probably won’t be able to for budgeting reasons, but I’ve looked through the paid guided journals, and I must say for those who can fit it in, it looks spectacular. But even without the paid features, the app feels like a full-functioning CBT approach to journaling, and I love this first experience!

Love the app, few bugs that need fixed. I love this app. The whole idea is amazing and I love feeling like I have somewhere to fully escape and record my thoughts without anyone being able to access them (face ID is the only way they can get in) Few things I noticed is that when I go back to read my guided daily journal entries I am unable to scroll and read the full entry. I tend to type a lot so it actually ends up cutting off a bunch of my entry. Adding a scroll feature or an expand button maybe, would be great. I AM able to scroll and read a new (non-guided) entry but when I try to scroll as soon as my finger lets of the screen it thinks I am trying to type and add to my entry. Seems like just a few minor bugs that if fixed would make this app PERFECT! I seriously love it and have been using it everyday. Just need to be able to access my past entries to read what I wrote

This app is absolutely amazing. Pros: I sorta doubted this at first, but it became quickly my favorite app. I can journal and have so many prompts to get me started which is my biggest struggle. I love the music, so much sometimes I use that while driving! I love being reminded to journal as another thing I tend to forget. The prompts of how to even start a sentence are helpful too. I feel really good after I journal...some days I have a lot to say and some days I barely can compile words. Not all days are equal. I appreciate the feeling logs and goes from there by asking what could cause these feelings. Cons: I wish the music would shuffle and not start at the same spot everytime. Also, I wish that we would get the same type of trial period as referrals did. That did disappoint me a bit seeing if I referred someone they got 30 days and I got like 3 or 7(cant remember) when I signed up for something.

It’s getting me through 2021. I purchased the subscription for the journals they provide to open you up about different aspects in your life. It quickly had turned into my own free writing journal that I mostly just rant in, but I use this app frequently throughout the week. I just think some of the questions are repetitive and not as deep as they could be but I appreciate the effort of providing sentence starters, articles and especially breathing exercises. This is the only app or way I have that reminds me to breathe. A suggestion I have that could be useful is providing a dark mode for users. Sometimes I’m up at 3 am in the dark needing to vent, and a dark mode for journaling on my iPad would match the vibe rather than an all white screen.

I love this app ... however. I love this app, I can already tell it will be my new favorite thing. Providing proper structure for someone logging their life is extremely important and this app does just that, all while giving you the option to write freely. However, I soooo wish that this app supported writing on the iPad Pro with your Apple Pencil. I love journaling but one of my favorite things about it is the ability to see and remember the emotions attached to my own handwriting. I hope this is something they’d consider in a future update.p (sooner than later). I would love to —literally—be able to write in this journal. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Update: This is a probably a bug but this is app is lacking in additional security. I turned off the Face ID feature and the app does not ask for a passcode or key phrase to view my entries. Additionally, when I attempt to view my entry for the day in my daily reflection it does no allow me but instead takes me back to the introduction page.

I love this app!. This app is great. Very user friendly and nice design. I was never one to journal. I tried the old pen and notebook thing but I’d end up just staring at the page not knowing what to write. Guide journaling is more up my alley. There is a good selection of guided journals. You can also write your own entires too. As another reviewer mentioned, the prompts do get repetitive but I don’t mind it too much. Some questions do have more than one answer and depending on your mood the answer could be different. 2020 has brought on so much, and I was feeling very stressed and disconnected. I must say that journaling in general has helped but it’s having this guided journal that has helped me to start journaling in the first place. As for the cost, I tried the free version and really liked it so I ended up subscribing. But it was because I came across a 50% off sale. I figured I’d see how the year goes and at the end decide of I want to renew for $60. They do update often so we’ll see how this app progresses. So far I’m loving it!

Amazing but expensive!. I cannot express how much I want to give this app 5 stars! I have been looking for a very long time for a way to keep me consistent with journaling. I’m neurodivergent so starting and maintaining healthy habits can be quite the challenge. But this app makes it so simple to make it a habit. With reminders and prompts, situationally appropriate questions and follow up prompts, and the ability to keep responses as short or as long as you need or have time for. This app is wonderful!! Unless you have tight finances like I do. I debated on the number of starts to take off for this reason. I ultimately settled on docking only one. At the end of the day, if you can afford the subscription, it would be absolutely worth it and completely deserving of the price.

Give it a try ♥️. I’m so grateful for this app. It’s an easily accessible, in depth, simple and stress free way to journal. I’ve tried pen & paper, various other apps, and traditional therapy in an attempt to process my thoughts and exercise a more productive mindset toward self growth and self love. The guided journals (and insights feature that follows) are like actual guides helping me along my constant journey to betterment. I can’t participate in counseling now, and this is a wonderful alternative for me at this time. It’ll surely be a game changer when used WITH therapy as well. After one week, I have a better understanding of my thought processes and needs. Jour has become an essential tool for me; I’ll keep it in my wellness toolbox as long as it’s up and running.

This App has Literally SAVED Me. I stumbled across this App when I was searching for a journaling app at the suggestion of my therapist. I have complex PTSD with Anxiety & Panic Disorder. She wanted me to focus on my Self-Care and since I love to free write, she said journaling would help me. At first I was resistant & kind of annoyed, but over time I found myself looking forward to 5p everyday to do my 3 questions. And now, I cannot go a day without it. It’s helped me so much, especially retraining my brain from negative thinking of myself. I absolutely LOVE whomever developed this app for everyone to benefit from. And I love them even more for making it FREE! It feels good to know someone out there truly cares about mental health & providing a tool to help all of us who need it. Thank you so much ☺️

The best journal app, just wish we could access on a desktop!. Even with the free version, like many others may have noted in their reviews, you still get interactive ways to journal. This is *thee* journal app that I’ve stuck with the longest and has helped me relieve stress and practice gratitude. Many months ago last year I contacted Alan Mind to see if they were going to offer an online version as well because I was interested in journaling via a laptop/desktop when I don’t feel like typing on my phone. I received a response fairly quickly letting me know a desktop version is in the works, but did not receive a release date. So still waiting eagerly and patiently on that! Once that happens though, Alan Mind will definitely be 5 stars to me!

favorite journal app out of so many. I have tried so many journal apps after four years of paper journaling fell by the wayside in an ever busier schedule. Jour walks the perfect line between prompted reflection and free writing. I love the consistency to the daily reflections, and the simple “snapchat” style makes it natural and comfortable to either write a couple words or many paragraphs. my only issues (and why 4 stars) is viewing the entries once I’ve written them; I would love to have all of them run together like a typical snapchat story instead of having to click on each date specifically. I would also like to be able to choose to switch out some of the questions; for example, “what can I do to make today even better” is not exactly relevant when I jour right before I go to sleep. overall, though, a fantastic app with a beautiful, simplistic design and structure that makes it a joy to use.

Annual fee. So I’m used to journaling in the note section of my phone which seems to work for me.m, but I wanted to try something new and esthetically pleasing to the eye. I wanted to be able to include more things in my journal such as tasking how I feel, daily goals to achieve and so on. So I discovered this app and the reviews were amazing. Any issues that users had them team responded and fixed it or put it into discussion. My issue is not knowing up front that there’s a $60 annual fee to express yourself. And I understand that you have to invest in yourself and your well being, but if I was someone who couldn’t afford an annual fee that would be hurtful for someone that’s trying to work on themselves. I know fees can’t be removed, but putting it into the apps description would be helpful. I’m still debating on if I want to pay for the same thing I already do. If I decide to purchase the subscription, I’ll come back with an update.

Dark Magic. This app is actually insane. It really helped me get through a depressive stage that I was going through. It’s the perfect outlet to jus get out all of ur thoughts and it helps guide you with unique questions everyday. When you finish with your rant it gives you actually useful advice that is somehow just what you need to hear. It’s based completely off of what you have to say and I don’t understand it but it saved my relationship by showing me I was self sabotaging, it helped me open up and communicate more, and even helped me on the good days by motivating me to get my stuff done for the day. Overall it’s an amazing app and you definitely don’t need the paid version. It’s some kind of dark magic I swear.

Lost 2+ Years of Data. I thought I wrote a review already, but apparently I haven’t. I went back to the Jour app after not opening it for awhile only to find it rebranded as Alan Mind. The rebrand didn’t entirely bother me that much. I enjoyed the look and name of Jour, but whatever. What bothered me was the fact that after I was forced to create an account for Alan Mind and go through their long survey process, I lost 2+ years of journals that I was told would still be there after I created my account. Interestingly enough, the exact dates and times I wrote journals were kept, but not the actual text itself. Which I see has been a problem for multiple people now. I am devastated. Thankfully, I randomly decided to move all my journal entries elsewhere sometime last year. (Perhaps I saw this coming…) However, Jour/Alan Mind still had all my dream journals that I was keeping over the years. I am super into recording the dreams that I remember when I wake up, and I love (loved) going back to read them. I have now lost years of what were essentially memories to me. I cried for over an hour and immediately deleted the app. I will not be returning to use it, and I don’t recommend it as a long-term option for anyone else.

One of the best apps ever... but the update is a bit frustrating. I love Jour. I downloaded it during a time of personal hardship and it helped me a lot to go through each day and just write everything, or anything, about my day. It kept me sane and happy even though sometimes life was kind of rough. Therefore, I’ve grown very fond of writing my Daily Reflections each night before bed. But now, with the Daily Jour, I don’t get to answer as many questions, nor do they seem to reflect on the day I’ve had. I really appreciate going through my entries sometimes and reading them to see how far I’ve come, and it makes me a bit frustrated to see that none of the questions seem to even ask about my thoughts, feelings, or actions of the day. I do enjoy how there is a clear purpose to the questions and how they’re supposed to shape the next day, but I find myself missing the act of reflecting. Of course, this is just a personal opinion and I will still be using Jour everyday, I just really hope that one day the Daily reflections will make an appearance once again.

Cool app, but some room for improvement. This is a well designed app, no way around that. I love guided journals, and this one is put together nicely. However, two main critiques: 1. There are a lot of typos. And by a lot, I mean I found 7 within the first 3-5 minutes of using the app. And I’m still finding typos in content with subsequent uses of the app. If that little care is put into content and copy, it makes me a little wary of trusting the quality of the CBT content of the app. Also not what I would expect from a $60/year app. 2. The app developer *really* wants $60 up front from you, and it shows. The only subscription option in the app after a 7 day free trial is a $60 1 year subscription. There’s a back door way to purchase a month by month subscription before you go to cancel the free trial. But the practice felt disingenuous enough to me that I canceled outright rather than switched to a monthly subscription.

Actually just a journal (yay!). Love this app completely. Lots of other apps that describe themselves as journals feel a lot like writing an Instagram post to yourself. They don’t seem like centers for organization or reflection, just a loose collection of random flashy functions. Jour is literally just a journal with a few interesting videos and articles on journaling. Instead of journaling + a calendar + etc. etc., you open the app and you get a nice relaxing UI where you can choose to either to do one of a few pre-set exercises (basically just starting with a template) or write a free-form entry. It actually makes the app much more compelling because when I open it the only thing to do is write down my thoughts, so I only open it for that reason and never feel like it’s secretly trying to increase my app time or get my money. I can just write and feel good about it, which is what journaling is supposed to be anyway.

I Wanted to Love Jour.... Unfortunately, it didn’t love me. My first impressions were great. It’s free, has a great layout, and the guided journaling prompts were interesting. Then, I discovered the app has limited functionality with my Bluetooth keyboard. I couldn’t proceed to the next prompt in a guided journal without turning off the keyboard, then clicking the next arrow that wouldn’t appear otherwise. This was mildly annoying, but I decided I could deal with this. After all, I mostly wanted the app for my own, long-winded personal entries. However, after creating said entries, I found I couldn’t access any of them again after saving them. Whenever I tried to open an older entry, the app would crash — every time. I updated my iOS, reinstalled the app multiple times, created new entries to test, and even tested from my iPhone. Without fail, Jour would completely shut down, so the very important journal entry that I needed is entirely lost. Again, I really, really wanted to like Jour, and I did, for about two hours. If you’re the sort of person who like worthless free writing or the guided journaling (which, remarkably, I can still read if I want), then Jour might work for you. If you’re a serious writer who wants to input a lot of content and read it later, stick to a word processor or, better yet, pen and paper.

Literally curing my depression. So I recently downloaded 10 different self-care/routine tracker apps to try them all out and see if I liked one. I quickly realized that all of these apps require premium subscriptions to enjoy their best features. I went through all of the free access features on each app and wasn’t satisfied with any of them. Last up, this app. I went through all of the free access prompts. I loved the process! & genuinely felt happier after completing my first entry! & then I subscribed — even though I never subscribe to anything. The premium features are worth the money and are honestly so well priced, because you are literally receiving therapy and healing! Anyways, coming from an unbiased and slightly depressed & anxious gal, this app has really helped me. I love the design & the techniques used & just wanted to show my support by leaving an honest review (: Thank you for coming to my TED Talk <3

Felt Duped Into Purchasing Premium. I downloaded this app and was really enjoying my first day with it. I wrote several entries and was enjoying the powerful prompts. While I was searching for my very first entry, which has still seemingly disappeared, I found myself prompted to purchase the Premium version, of which I was previously unaware. I seemed unable to move out of that section until I either agreed or disagreed to purchase. Afraid I’d lose my whole day’s work, I reluctantly agreed to buy Premium. It seemed to me the purchase was required in order to access my previous entries and continue using the app. Upon further investigation, I see that’s not the case. It seems that there is definitely a simpler daily version vs. the premium version. I don’t know why I was prompted to make the upgrade in a way that made it seem as though I either had to buy, or lose my work. Perhaps it was a momentary glitch, but I definitely feel a little duped out of what I had hoped would be a very positive experience.

Exactly what I needed, there’s just one bug.. This is the very best journaling app I’ve found so far! As a person who is growing and going through a self discovery process, I wanted to start a journal. I always prefer to use to paper but sometimes it’s just not practical when I’m out or need to take a mental break and write something down. Having this app makes that a whole lot easier. I love how it offers guidance through the journaling process but you don’t have to follow it if you don’t want to. The lessons are also an amazing feature. The one bug I found was that in the middle of whatever task I was doing on the app it would spontaneously crash. I’m not sure if it’s something to do with my phone or and actually bug in the app. It mostly happens when I’m going though the lessons. Again, could just be my phone but thought I should point it out anyways. Thanks again for this amazing, amazing app!!!

100% Most Loved Journaling App. Jour is an amazing app with an extremely caring team working behind it to listen to its users and, at its core, battle mental illness. As a longtime journaler myself, having a digital journaling app really changed the game for me when it came to personalized questions, reminders, and on-the-go reflections. The app itself is beautifully designed, easy to navigate, and just simple to use. I have become more self-aware and in control of my emotions and thoughts because of daily journaling. This app offers so many great features from guided therapeutic journaling to personal insights to breath work, and it is always improving with every update. I love Jour and would highly recommend everyone to try it out! Thank you Jour team for your fabulous work!!!

6/5. I have recently downloaded this app to help keep track of my thoughts and ideally improve my overall quality of life. What made me jump to download it was initially the lack of in app purchases, because I can genuinely appreciate a product that is free but does not lack quality merely for this fact. The art style of it also popped out to me. For I can appreciate a unique aesthetic. I adore the categories of the app, allowing me to remain organized in thought. It is not just a journal, but a tool to help grow as a person. My personal favorite feature would be the dream journal, for I like to keep track of these but I find I do not wish to use up space in my hard copy journal. Overall, I love it and cannot wait to explore it more so.

Won’t let me see my very first entries.. I really love Jour and I use it every single day. It’s such a great outlet to me and since it’s on my phone, I feel like it’s more personal because it’s not like a paper diary where anyone can peep into. I love that it has things like affirmations, things to feel grateful for, and your own entries. This is where my problem is. I like to go back and read my entries, but for some reason it won’t let me scroll all the way down. I can’t read the first two entries I’ve written because they are blocked off by the bottom of the page where it says to start and entry. When I keep scrolling I see them, but when I let go, it doesn’t stay that way. I would really like to read those entries but I can’t :’( I hope this is just a bug that is fixed soon.

Sooooo happy with Jour. UPDATE: All of a sudden i can’t even access daily journaling!?? It was my favorite part. Now it just keeps telling me “tomorrow at 3pm (my reminder time). What gives? I understand that at some point the premium features would roll out but this is ridiculous and sad. I’ve only had it two days and I’m pleased with the interface, the questions and the motivation. So grateful to this developer for not only giving us an actual FREE app (which basically doesn’t exist anymore) that doesn’t lock you out of the good stuff. Mental health is so important and journaling is one of the key components. I understand developers should be compensated which is why when I do have the money I will switch to premium, not because basic isn’t worthwhile but because this developer in particular should be rewarded for all the effort. Thank you Jour!!

Great app!! I wish there was more to it though. I really like this journaling app because the prompts ask me to focus on things that remind me who I am as a person. I’m going through a self-discovery phase and this app is really helping me rediscover who I am. Critiques/suggestions: Can we have a “my profile” page? It would be really nice to be able to have one page where all the entries are, instead of having them on multiple pages. It would also be nice to have an option to reorganize the app, or even just the personalized “my profile” page, in a way that suits each individual best. It would be really cool to be able to have a “book mode” as well. To be able to design a cover and have a page for each day. It would also be extremely neat to be able to customize each page with different layouts, colors, fonts, etc. I LOVE the aesthetic and color themes of the app. Maybe have an option to add pictures at well!

Motivated. I don’t ever and I mean ever write reviews, but I felt I had to let you know what a wonderful job you did at creating this app. I’ve only been using it for a month and I’ve looked high and low for guided journals. I love journals but I don’t like using a physical Journal anymore so having it at my finger tips are amazing. I love the different journals entries you can do with the what’s going on in your life because it asks questions that you normally wouldn’t think about which has prompted me into thinking about my own business and goals more!! I love the guided breathing, I do wish there was a way I can do it with my eyes clothes with some sort of vibration or sounds (not voices) to prompt your inhale and exhales but other than that the focus on the circles do help me to zone so that’s not a big deal!! So with all my rambling I just want to say, kudos, job well done!! Keep up the amazing work and I’ve shared this app with all my family and friends!!! See about putting some more entrepreneur types journals or creative mind type journals in the catalog. Just a suggestion. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK ON THIS APP!!

Disappointed. Edit: I love developers who listen to their users. Thank you so much for the update and the fix. I genuinely love this app and I’m glad to have it back in my routine. Old review: One of my favorite things about this app was it’s simplicity and I loved it took me away from my busy day for a moment. I always wanted more moods, because we as people as more complex than their selection. However, instead of updating with an expansion on the current moods, they replace it with emojis. Already the app was crashing so I wasn’t able to see it since I updated it, and I had to delete and reinstall it. I immediately saw the emojis and I am now at a choice of whether to delete the app or keep it. I genuinely love this app because it allows me to process the beginning of the day and set goals for myself, but adding the emojis just cheapens the entire experience. Now with that being said, I’ve made up my mind to remove the app from my phone and will not reinstall it until the emojis go away. I hope you listen to your customers.

Great app but needs improvement. I love the style of this app and it’s functionality. Most of the journals are really good, and it seems the developers work hard at improving the app (this makes me feel more comfortable with investing in it long term), but I don’t like direction some of the guided journals take me in. For instance, sometimes if I say I’m not feeling well it will ask me to list things I’m grateful for, or if I’m afraid it will ask me to look around at my environment and identify what makes me feel more relaxed. This takes me away from the upset, instead of guiding me to resolve it. Gratitude is a great practice, but if you don’t resolve the upset/uncomfortable feelings, this could be used to just numb out and only feel temporary relief by getting you to focus on something else. This app could be a very powerful tool for introspection and resolving upsets (and in some cases it is). I just notice some of them are a home run and some of them leave me hanging.

Pretty Great. I got this app a couple days ago and loving the concept. When I used to journal, I felt like I always had the tendency to only write when I was really upset. With Jour, I love how there are guided prompts to help steer me into a more positive outlook. It reminds me of headspace, but in a journal format! I usually am irked by apps that have a payment feature. However, Jour has a bunch of free features that doesn’t make you feel pressured to sign up right away. Once I’m more financially stable, I plan on subscribing. The only reason why I’m rating Jour as a 4-star is because there currently isn’t a Mac/Desktop app available. I personally prefer typing on my laptop and don’t like I’m only limited to using my phone. I’d love to refer this to my parents, however I know they wouldn’t use this at all since they don’t like being on their phones either. I’m hoping that a computer version of the app is released soon.

Love the app, wish there were more customization options. I have used this app for quite a while and genuinely love it! I have found the discussion questions to be creative and leading in my reflections, and I recommend this app for anyone looking for a good journal, even with just the unpaid version. However, sometimes on the daily reflection, the categories I am offered don’t reflect how my day went. I wish that there were options for custom emotions or categories, or some way to add tags to our journals to make them more personal and accurate. Sometimes the adjectives provided in the daily reflection don’t have options that relate to my day, which feels limiting and I just close the app and think “nevermind” because I don’t resonate with the options provided. Other than that one gripe, I do truly love this app. I am a premium user of over a year, and I have definitely discovered myself more and have found that you get back what you’re willing to put into your reflection sessions. Sometimes the questions seem juvenile at first tbh, but when I play along I often find some depth that I didn’t expect.

AMAZING!. Amazing app! Like the option to simply journal without going into a question prompted selection if you feel like simply journal something quickly. But I love the fact that you are prompted great thought processing questions which helps bring out many things you have on your mind that is troubling you now, and it can even bring up an issue or topic you may have forgotten about that you would like to work on now to release that burden. Journaling is extremely healthy for everyone emotionally mentally and spiritually! The options are endless with how you work on your emotional and mental health! It almost makes it fun, I find myself wanting to go into the app multiple Times a day because its fun to answer questions that get things moving in your head and heart. I’m excited to see my progress years down the road! I highly recommend this app to anyone and everyone! Nothing but good can come from this app.

This is an app I seek out. I struggle with anxiety and have now been using Jour for almost a year and have journaled over 300 times since I started. When I notice the panic rising, I stop take a few deep breathes and then use Jour to walk me though what’s really causing my anxiety. I have found it so helpful. But I do have one thing I wish was different. I have read a lot recently about how many people feel two things at the same time like overwhelmed and joyful or anxious and comfortable. I would love to see the emojis being one part and the words being a different part. I also feel like some days I want to remember it was an anxiety high day but it wasn’t a bad day so then I feel like it can be hard to say how I feel during the check-in. I try to remember that one moment in time doesn’t define my whole day. I can have anxious thoughts and still have had a day where I was grateful and joyful. Thanks for listening.

Not Quite Right For Me. I’m not really one for journaling or diaries. I find that trying to write a diary always makes things worse. Right now, I’m struggling a lot with depression, anxiety, and a lack of self confidence. I thoroughly read the reviews and everything and I’m not going to say this is bad, because this really depends on the person. I saw that it was more of a guide and normally, I would just rant to my best friend and check in with them about everything. But regardless, my depression has gotten worse and I was hoping something else would help. My first problem was that it asked about my relationship status and didn’t give the option of saying that “I’m a teenager who is more worried about getting through everything than relationship”, so I clicked single 5+ years. Second was that it required me to make a login. Now that’s not exactly a problem, but I was sort of hoping it would let me test it out first before I made a login. (I have made logins before, deleted the app, and then I had to block the app cause I still get its emails). Third was that I saw “seven days free”… which also was an off-putter. I don’t want to have to buy this when I already have the free option of a best friend I can talk about anything with. I can’t explore the app further without making a login and I’m not willing to do that. From what I’ve seen this is still an amazing app, but I personally don’t think it’s right for me.

My Favorite Journaling App!. This app is amazing! Not only does it allow you regular journaling functions, but it offers Daily Reflection and things that can help get one’s life a little more stable. Overall, it’s a very nice app! However, I have one problem: whenever I wish to look back on a journal entry, I am unable to scroll because it will keep bringing the cursor to the last word of the entry. Not only does this make reading an entry practically impossible, but it also changes the date of completion for the entry. For example, if I wrote about what happened in my life on Monday and I try to read it on Wednesday, I’ll end up automatically being sent to the bottom and the entry will say it was finished Wednesday; it’s very confusing. Otherwise, it’s an excellent app! Hopefully that little inconvenience will be fixed in later updates; other than that, I definitely recommend this app!

Miss the old app check ins. I really enjoyed the app before they changed ownership or management over a year ago. I truly felt that even without subscribing I could get a good amount from the app. Now they’ve blocked and kept a lot of things behind the paywall. Now without the subscription it pretty much functions like your notes on your iPhone except it does give you prompts to help probe your feelings. Even then, if typing/checking in on your phone, it restricts you from being able to write long journal entries, as the suggested responses block you from being able to see what you are typing after a certain point. I unfortunately will not be recommending this to friends or using it for much longer. (Before, it included a daily story that had a short breathing exercise and a brief blog post with some mental health tips. It was enough to encourage me to subscribe as I could see more of what the app has to offer.)

It’s Really Good; Except for one small problem. I always loved writing. When I stumbled upon this in the App Store one night I knew I had to pre order this. I started playing with this as soon as I got it. This would honestly be 4.5 stars out of 5 due to an issue that keeps bothering me. When I go in to write a “thought,” the text would just disappear. I would have to keep typing constantly just to see the text on the screen, and when I want to delete a word or two I would have to delete a sentence just to see the other sentences that disappeared off of the screen, and then I would have to fill in the parts that were deleted again. It didn’t act like this the first two times I tried it, but then in just happened. I really love the “add a thought” feature a lot, but this issue takes away from it. I love this app and I hope this bug gets fixed.

Highly recommend. I actually cannot believe how much I love this app. I look forward to my daily reflections and it has been interesting checking in each day. Such a beautiful and aesthetically pleasing app. Thank you soooo much for making this available!!! 💚💚

thanks. this app is sooo good and it makes me let go of all of my feelings stuck inside of me

Amazing!. I’ve been using Jour for about two weeks now, so far it is AMAZING! It helps you with lots of moods, troubles etc. However some features you need to pay, but all the free things are good enough! I have been more at peace with my mind ever since I started using this, .

Love it. I love this app so much, it has helped me so much by being able to write out everything and how I’m feeling without having to worry that people might see it! The only problem I have is I think it should be free because being a kid I don’t have the money to pay for supscription

Calming. It’s helped me calm down and I’m starting to feel better it’s nice to write my feelings down and when I feel stressed about family and friends I come here and write it down but the bad thing is you have to pay for some stuff

Interesting content but buggy. The guided journalling is great. The training videos seem good too but the experience is confusing and buggy.

Nice but…. I love it but I think that journaling is free for everyone to use, without having to pay to see insights or a daily breakthrough. I hope you can change this so journaling is completely free to use. Thank you. I will appreciate it.

Wow. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that there is an app out there that after downloading , I would be prompted with some questions that I would go on and answer ,that it would give me a sudden understanding and an overall interruption on how I am as a person, break downs of little traits and understandings of behaviors that I would then go on to and read and shout to myself “OMG thats me” to then be explained and given information and understanding on some of my behaviors it actually blew me away. I have learnt a lot about myself and came to understand that ME TIME is also a time I get to learn about myself and how I can better change myself for the better. Great app, better then great app! Best ever app just try and see the worst that can happen is you don’t like it but you won’t ever get to make that choice if you don’t give it a try and I can assure you once you try it , it will be there to stay !!

Wouldn’t recommend for people with mood dysregulation. I love the idea and execution of this app. Clean interface, insightful and so helpful. However the thing that made me decide not to use it is the mood tracking. This mood tracking misses the dialectics behind emotions. If you put in that you’re not feeling great then that’s it. And it focuses on that. Meanwhile it’s possible to be happy AND sad at the same time. Stressed and calm. It would be more helpful that you could enter your overall mood, the emotions you are feeling and then say whether something like family was contributing to the more positive/helpful emotions. And then offer suggestions based on whether you wanted to accept or change the less positive emotions or build on the more positive ones. It manages to be quite black and white regarding feelings and the following activities, which encourages polarized thinking. Ironic considering it is an app that utilizes the CBT framework. As it is now I would not recommend this app to someone with mood dysregulation or a complex mental illness. Quite disappointing because it’s such an easy to navigate and such a fantastic resource. For depression and anxiety it’s fantastic!

Loving it so far!. Been using Jour to get myself into the habit of journaling. It is beautifully designed, and so keen to keep using it. I have tried a few apps but I have found having prompts to journal with Jour to super helpful. It would be great if the Daily Reflection had different types of questions, as it has been quite repetitive for me - especially when I use it more. By asking "What is the one thing that me happy" you're limited to one answer. Perhaps "What makes you happy today" is broader and frees the mind more :)

Amazing.. I love it. Its so good and its minimalistic. The questions are short and simple. Really calming too.

Alright. It’s alright in its basic app features, but everything other than writing the daily journal is behind the subscription. It took me a couple days to realize that :/

Almost the perfect journal app. Nice little journal app that keeps you motivated to write entries by asking questions. One feature I wish it had was the ability to track mood by asking for a mood input before the questions start (and the ability to see an overview of how you feel over time).

Good. I rated it only a four out of a five because even though it’s great so far you can’t get into all the personalized stuff with out paying annually. After only using it for two days I can already tell it still fits my needs I just needed something to keep track of my feelings or else my head was going to explode and I feel like this is a great app choice for journaling.

It feels so advanced in an E-Journal. It looks so pretty, and it just looks so well made, professionally helpful… and really cool as an E-Journal

not working. this seems like a really cool concept but it won't me sign up

Support is not good. When I cancelled my trial someone who was developer said was going to give me a $50 amazon card for my opinion and was on a video conference with the person and at end said would give me a premium account and have yet to receive either with no way to reach them. I found app useful but with only a year subscription option it wasn’t available to me. So couldn’t continue. Update: the developer reached out and realized amazon card hadn’t been sent so made sure to send it to me but yet to hear on lifetime premium membership promised has yet to be received. I enjoyed the app and was a big help but the only option a years membership just doesn’t work for me.

BestJournal app ever. Jour works magicand it helps a lot with CBT

For the money, I want improvements. The idea is great and the app has strengths but I hate that at the check-in, it only gives you like 9 words to choose from to describe how you are feeling and there isn’t even an “other” option. It doesn’t put me in the right headspace when I can’t even accurately describe how I’m feeling or why. I want to use it every day but I’m now a little frustrated right off the bat so I’m slowing down my use after a few weeks.

Nice app!. Love the privacy features (special phrase). I also like the various questions in daily reflection portion of the app. Wish you could write in landscape orientation however, at least for writing thoughts. Overall, great job, keep it up!

Good app. I downloaded a couple journaling apps this one is the best so far ( the aesthetic, how much free stuff ). Although I don’t like how you have to pay to unlock everything. But definitely something I will keep using.

Best in class. Great app for mood tracking and gratitude journaling, with some truly insightful questions and comments to help mentally unpack the day. That said, please develop a dark mode!!!

Has so many wonderful resources for any moment. Has helped me in many low points that I needed a different mindset.

My therapy. I love this app. It’s my therapist, my daily go to app.

Beautiful and perfect. I love this app! I usually don't write reviews but Jour is perfect! I've only had it for a day but the features it has are amazing. This is exactly what I needed to manage my stress and insecurities. Although I wished the premium version was an one-time purchase. Otherwise everything else is perfect! p.s. If you're still looking for ambassadors, I'd love to be one:)

Surprised. I’ve tried a number of apps like this. Jour is by far the most enjoyable and easy to use.

AMAZING APP. I absolutely love the app! Fast, simple and effective. I personally found it to be most effective after using it consistently, every single day. What a great way to promote your own mental well being! Thank you!!

This app has made me feel way better!!. I only just got this app today but it’s really making me happier expressing my feeling, Thank you so much Daily Jour.

Just what I wanted. I have been looking for a simple journal app on my iPad. I have tried to use GoodNotes or Notion to keep a journal but it didn’t really motivate me to keep journaling. I love this app because even if I don’t have anything to write about it prompts me to write something and it really encourages reflection. I am on the 7 day free trial at the moment and I think paying the subscription is actually worth it. It has all in one and in a very cute and simple style.

Great Journaling programme. I like the questions that over period of time make you think and write longer sentences than the usual short quick ones. Makes you think a little deeper before you answer!

The Best App for Self Care and Mental Health. I’ve tried many apps and methods to journal. A lot of the apps are either too limited or too filled with features. Jour is by far the best journaling app i’ve ever tried, it’s a mix of everything in just the right amount. I love that it has cues that help you journal and reflect on what you’ve been up to, it asks me questions that surprise me and spark me to think deeper about what I’ve been feeling. The addition of breath-work is the cherry on top, I’ve always wanted to get into it but now I end off my journaling session with guided breathing and I love it. Also you’re gonna love the wholesome notifications that the app sends you as a reminder to journal. Literally a must have app for anyone looking to live a better life.

My favorite app. I have never left a review on anything in my life, but in my attempts to be more positive, here is my very first review. This is my favorite app. It is everything I love in an app and I am actually excited every time I open it, which is not something I’ve experienced in apps in a long time. It works as it should, it helps in ways I didn’t expect, and makes me happier. So thank you! Download the app!

Good app, but I feel lied to. Alan mind is trying to double dip into two categories. One as an employee morale booster, and another as a mental health journaling app. It feels disingenuous to both have this app for employees, while charging us a ludicrously high fee for not a lot of features. To add to that point, the videos are ALL in French, with tiny subtitles only added in recently. For a CBT and mental health app, I’m not going to read captions for a video, when I’m trying to relax and listen. Defeats the entire purpose

Super impressed.. So I recently started journaling.... but my hand cramps so easily and I get tired of writing so I don’t get my full thought out all the time as much as I’d like. I find texting a lot faster and more efficient for me. So this app has definitely changed my journaling experience! It asks prompting questions, gives helpful advise and encouragement, and is super easy to use. You can write a little or a lot. And it’s all saved and tracked. Highly recommend it to anyone who journals!! ✍🏼

Only “employees” and “managers” can use this app. People who are not an employee or manager within a selected population are not allowed to register. This is not written as information in the app store

Amazing. The best app for journalling! CBT-based, saves your entries, articles to reflect on…thank you for this great app!

Amazing. It’s still early but I’ve been using this app for a weee and it’s really helped my confidence soooo much I would add and pay for the full app features 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Good app bad bad customer service. I was loving the app loved using it and bought the paid membership. But all hell broke loose when I could not use my face recognition tool to open my account for me and tried using the “forgot my password” feature to regain access and the app just goes I to a loop that teases you thinking it will get you a link where you can change tour password but instead takes you to the same place asking if you want to be sent a link again to never go anywhere. I tried emailing customer service and went nowhere and the feature here in App Store to contact app developer also does not work. What a shame. Hope this bad review of their otherwise good app gets them to contact me ...

Great app but not working. I got the free 7 day trial but since paying for the full version, it won’t work. When I get to the part with insights and suggestions, it says I have to pay. But I already have! When I click on app support it takes me to a page and nothing happens. Help! I want to use this excellent app!

Life Changing App. Amazing App! I absolutely love this app it’s made me realize why I’m actually unhappy in life and really helps me figure things out and put the focus where it’s needed. So happy with this App. Keep up the great work.

App functions. I really really like the app. However please fix the fear session glitch. Everytime I try moving to the next session the app closes and I can’t move forward. Thank you ~

The BEST Mental Health App I’ve EVER used!. This app has literally everything I love from four different mood journaling apps I’ve tried so far. I’ve been using it for half an hour and I’m blown away by the ability to customize your treatment, and they are THOROUGH. I can’t wait to start using this more!

Jour. Jour has helped me calm down from Anxiety and get to sleep earlier than usual,Jour is an amazing app,I’m definitely gonna get my mom on this app!

Love this app. I have tried a couple of journaling app. This is the only one that I love!

Life saver. This is such a beautiful app, from the watercolour graphics to the thoughtful journalling prompts. I had the free app for about a year and treated myself to a Premium subscription after 200 journal entries. The guided journals have a personal therapist vibe, and I adore the breathing exercises. This app has brought me peace and allowed me to see and appreciate the little things in my life that I was overlooking.

Variety. I think the app is great I just wish there was more variety in the questions, once you answer them for awhile they start to repeat. I don’t know if that’s the point or not but I think it would help the app.

Helpful for focusing on the good. I have struggled to do daily journaling or reflecting on the day. Even without a full subscription this app is very helpful for focusing on positive aspects of daily life and reflecting on experiences. Many aspects such as the options for what the focus of the entry is and the aesthetic is great.

Just wanted to share my gratitude for this amazing app!. I’ve been struggling with my mental health for many years now. I’ve tried various types of counselling (CBT as well), but have found I have improved the most with this app! The features are amazing, with breathing exercises handy whenever you need them (for me it’s in times of panic and this layout makes it very easy to access). I also love how there’s so many categories to choose from, keeping my daily journaling fun and motivating. I truly want to thank the creators of this app. I’ve tried many other wellness apps and have truly found this one to have my favourite functions of other apps combined :).

Beautifully crafted. This app is so well crafted. From the simple interface to the thoughtful prompts. I greatly appreciate the amount of care that’s put into creating this app. Thank you so much!

Fantastic app!. This app is really amazing! It helps me every day and I love it. However, it would be really nice if it was also available in other languages like French. Otherwise this app is fantastic!

Journal. I really likeThe concept of this journalling I really hope that it will help me and fulfilling me getting the help that I need with my behaviour and changing some things in my life that needs to be changed for the better Sara I really hope that you know what you asked add some That there are some other tools that are gonrappy attitude to phone repair not much for a year so yeah thank you

Journaling that doesn’t hijack ur attention. Overall really lovely and helpful, great new additions recently too that I’m very excited about!!

Bug. Je suis nouvelle et l’app me permet pas écrire ni passer à la prochaine question.

Wow.... The app is magic... it’s really helpful. I downloaded it because of my multiple mental health disorder. It make me feel better and calmer. They ask me questions I thought nobody will never ask me. Even my therapist is not that caring about my mental health. I really love it but... (there always something wrong lmao) you cant get all the entries unless you pay for it. As a journaling app, I don’t think it should be having a price. I can’t afford it and it make me kind of sad. But in conclusion, if you need a “mind saver”... here it is.

Troubled receiving support. I’ve been trying to reach app support the past few days bad through intercom no ones replies. I was enjoying the app but after switching phones I haven’t been able to get into the app.

Beautiful app, at a price. For an individual, a $60 a year subscription for one application (which may be one of many subscriptions these days) is a bit of a steep price point. Tangerine has a similar application for about half the price, and even then, that’s a bit much. I really enjoyed my time with this application, back when it was Jour. I am not keen on how much data is linked to you, especially as both an corporation facing application, and as a mental health application. For the price point, I’d like to be able to view and download my data history, and have more confidence over the privacy. I do really love the application though. It is beautiful and incredibly simple to use. The prompts are great for helping you reflect on the day and take a moment to appreciate the things and people you love. If other subscriptions hadn’t come up in my life, I would have held on to this one. As such, I can’t justify one subscription that cost three times as much as my more important utility subscriptions…

Amazing app. This app really helps me express my emotions to something/someone, I recommend this app!!!

Wow. Recall you liking this app

Phenomenal app, Life changing. I was hesitant about the idea of paying for this app but after using the free trial for a bit, it’s well worth it. As some one who has mental health issues, it’s great for processing my emotions, thoughts, goals and everything else. Thank you for this app! It’s awesome

Loved it... until. I love this app when I first got it. As a relatively poor college student with depression and anxiety, it really helped me focus in on painful things and daily things that held me back. That was about a year ago and then I fell out of use. I decided to redownload it and go for it again now that I’m in another depressive slump. Only to see that functions that were free initially... aren’t anymore. I know that support is the only way to keep the app running, but I was hoping that it would be donation based. I would have gladly donated! But as it is, I can’t shell out that much at once :( and I don’t feel like it makes sense to pay for something that was a free feature before!

AMAZING. I love this app so much I literally can write anything in this app how I’m feeling how I’m doing and all that stuff amazing I totally recommend this app. I really like this app because I can literally tell this app anything like this app asks me questions of how I’ve been and all that stuff, like even my mom doesn’t even ask me that like my mom doesn’t even bother to ask me that question not even my “suppose all” friends, I even gives you this daily reminder like it sends you a message to remind you to tell them how you been

It’s great. Real life saver. I was really into this. It’s great tool for good times and bad. But I got out of it. Now I NEED it again because I’m going through a rough patch, but it no longer works on my iPad mini (1st gen, old I know), where I was using it before. It just, refuses to load past log in screen & crashes. Did everything I could on my end to help. If you could just, tone down the graphics a little & keep it more compatible with older generations of devices so I can use it truly whenever & wherever I needed it I’d continue to use it to better my life. Please talk to me about it or at least consider it. I know it’s difficult but it’s mad a world of difference to me & I’d really like to continue to use it there.

Very Pleased!. Although I just downloaded and started using this app today, I can confidently say that I am very pleased with the app! I love that all of the journaling services in this app are free. I have been searching for quite some time for a free journaling app that I can use daily. I also really love the guided reflections because it allows me to thoroughly reflect without have scattered thoughts. Overall, I am very happy with my discovery and would 10/10 definitely recommend this app to friends, family, and everyone to use for journaling their thoughts, feelings, and emotions!

Free plan is nice, but subscription features are disappointing. The daily journals provided by the free plan are an effective and easy way to wind down & clear the mind before sleeping. I was tempted by the many subscription features I needed to (annoyingly) dismiss each day after journaling so I went for the free trial. I canceled after a couple of days for the following reasons: - The additional daily journal increased anxiety by causing me to start thinking about things that hadn’t been on my mind before journaling (ex. “List everything you accomplished today” “What hobbies do you wish you devoted more time to?”) - The videos were irrelevant for me and also not what I’m interested in watching right before bed (ex. “What is a panic attack?”) - It was giving me an energizing breathing exercise even though my journals were done in the evening before bed Maybe I’ll try again later on when you’ve had a chance to improve the experience! It has potential but is not worth $60. Thanks for providing a nice free product though :)

Makes me realize what my subconscious is trying to tell me!. I love this journal. It makes me realize things in the back of my mind that I didn’t even realize were there! I love the bright, different colors on the “journeys” tab, but I wish the other pages were that colorful. The journeys are amazing! I wish there were more of them, though. I saw that there are journeys for anxiety, fear, and anger, but what about OCD, Depression, and OCPD? A few journeys I would add are ocd, depression, ocpd, uniqueness, and an introvert/ extrovert journey. Overall, I would definitely suggest downloading this app because of how it makes you feel uplifted. I’m really impressed!

love it but some concerns. so I got this app yesterday and I absolutely love it. it is so calming and I love that it gives you things to write about. one thing that did confuse me was the key phrase thing. I set it and have not needed to use it since. I would like it if there was an option to use some sort of passcode as security to get into the app, but that’s okay I guess. the only other concern i have is how everything in your journal is stored. I wish you could pick your format instead of it just being a list. I would like for it to be separated by days or something. right now it is basically functioning the same as the notes app on my phone. all in all a great app though !! thanks for reading

Jour. Ok this is literally the best app EVER it helps me with EVERYTHING in the morning when I wake up at night when I go to bed And even if randomly something happens that i don’t want to tell anybody about I can just write it down even if I do tell somebody. There are no adds which is AWSOME!! There are some in app purchases but nothing that you have to have to have to want the app! I totally recommend this app! If you have anxiety, stress even anger issues this will help you! And you don’t even have to have any of those things to have this app! I have shared this to my friends and family and I recommend you to share it with yours! Please get this app you won’t regret it!

Gets repetitive. I downloaded this to get in the habit of daily mindfulness. The first 20 or so days were great- with small prompts and a daily theme. Then they start repeating (which can be neat in times of change, to see where your thought process goes). Then they mix them up, there’s no theme just the same prompts all scrambled, and repeat them. I understand I’m using a free version and perhaps paying adds more? This definitely got me in more of a habit but then it became irritating to answer disjointed prompts. Update- they have added a bit of a change. Where you start by rating your mood which can generate more relevant prompts. Very nice touch for free!

A great journal, one question.... This is wonderful guys. I really enjoy this so far. I highly recommend this app to anyone interested in organizing their thoughts. It's free, it's streamline, and very user-friendly. The daily reflection is great. My favorite part is the "Start Writing" bit. It's perfectly straightforward and accessible. After all, I got this app to get down to the business of writing. It's wonderful how easily I can access the entries! Is there a character limit for each entry? The reason I ask is because I'm not necessarily one of those "Dear Diary," writers. I basically write short stories and essays to myself. Some days I only write a few lines, but other days I start stories that take a week or more to finish. Some are VERY long. If there is no character limit this app is a dream come true for me. Also, I would like to suggest adding the option for B/I/U (bold, italic, underline). That would be great. Thank you all for providing such a gem. I will recommend it to my friends.

This one really helps. I’ll admit that I was a bit overwhelmed with all the options to begin without, but then I found the daily check-in and a couple of the sleep well/wake well journals and it all started to click. This gives you a place to slow down and think through where you’re at, right when you need it. I find the sleep well and nightly gratitude journals really helpful to break the negative thinking at the end of the day and adjust my attitude so I can fall asleep easier.

JOURNAL YOUR HEART OUT, BABY!. I’ve never written a review ever, but this app was worth going on here. I tried numerous times to start a new physical journal, and now I have like 10 empty journals with just the first few pages scribbled in. This app, however, makes journaling SO easy and comfortable. You don’t have to carry around a pen and paper, and for people like me who tap at the speed of light, you can write out the words as you are thinking them. I don’t have to worry about anything whether or not my writing is neat. Journaling is life-changing, and I believe that there’s an easy entry with Jour!

I love this app!!! But... This app is amazing and now I use it like everyday!! But there is just one thing that really bugs me!! It is the pro and I would really like to do the radio and the breathing but it’s pro so I can’t use it!!! I know that you can earn money from pro but it starts to get a little boring when there is not much you can do so can you at least lower the pro just a little bit like you can do a breathing exercise or lower the price bc I know my mom is definitely not paying $60 a year just for this. But anyways this is a really good app!!

A good app, but not as great as it used to be. I used to really love this app; I recommended it to everyone when it first came out. I loved how simple the design was, and how easy it was to navigate through the different prompts. With the new update, the app now feels cluttered. I don’t appreciate having the free prompts mixed in with the prompts that only comes with the new subscription service. It’s totally fine and understandable that this app would have some kind of subscription or way to unlock extra things, but the way it goes about it feels too pushy and too expensive. $60 a year for a few extra prompts, audio choices, and the option to add photos to your entries seems steep compared to similar apps.

Surprisingly convenient for people with busy schedules!. I love that it categorizes thoughts and/or feelings that you could be having in the moment that way whatever you’re feeling can be focused into one journal entry. I used to write a lot throughout my teenage years, but now that I’ve gained more responsibilities and work two jobs, its really hard to find the time. It also give you that option to set a daily reminder for when you’ll know you’ll have the free time to do an entry. I hope to keep my review updated as I continue to use this. Honestly so far so great 💕

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS APP!!!. I have been searching for a journal with a variety of prompts that align with my personal development goals and this is the total package! Every day there is a reflection with intentional focus points and then there’s an arsenal of ‘digging deeper’ prompts if there are certain areas of focus you want to grow in. So far I have challenged myself to getting through the daily reflections and I've started one of the ‘digging deeper’ clusters and its making a huge improvement on my overall peace and ability to be intentional about my life and happiness. Even if you don’t think you need to journal...YOU DO!

Diamond in the rough. Im coming up for air after a several week existential crisis. As a rule, I’m a wannabe type A personality. I like order and lists and accomplishing goals but when I get overwhelmed, everything goes to hell. I also suffer from anxiety. I usually don’t like to write but I had so many ideas flying around in my head about making my existence mean something and I wanted a place to put them. Jour is truly a breath of fresh air. I don’t have to stare at a blank page, I just answer the question and see where it takes me. The possibilities are endless. The only improvement I would suggest is adding more categories. Health, relationships, mental well-being, mood, love... I can’t get enough!

lovely but still needs more. i love this app, i started the 7 day trial and im more than likely gonna keep paying for it. the general concept is there, its creative, its fun, its mindful. i just wish there was MORE. especially when it comes to the stickers and themes, maybe we could have more fun to it with some fonts and colors. especially if we’re paying for a membership. you should be able to design your journal like you can in real life. just some more fun little side activities would make this app perfect and even more enjoyable.

Best Journaling App I’ve Experienced. I just wanted to express how much I absolutely love this app. I’ve been searching for the perfect journaling app for ages that didn’t require in app purchases to have the features I need in a journal app. While the daily jour hasn’t been as reflective as I would like, I enjoy the freedom to write my own entries and the security within the app that ensures that whatever I write is for my eyes only(as any journal should). I also am very appreciative of the anxiety exercises that help keep me calm whenever I face an anxiety attack that I typically have no idea to fix otherwise without this app. Highly recommend, best journaling app out there that doesn’t require in app purchases.

This is gonna be great!!!. I’m a big personal growth junkie, I do a lot to keep growing, so for now this is not an app I’m going to pay for. But the basic plan is very extensive already, it’s very easy to get started, I’m usually very unmotivated around journaling, even though I’m fully aware of its benefits, Jour has gotten me started. The prompts are so great, not only does it feel effortless but as I was writing I started getting this feeling that I’m really good at this! I’m almost looking forward to feeling a bit low so I can read my own incredible advice to myself. I thought I was feeling pretty good before I started this, but now after writing a few minutes I’m really flying. This is fantastic! I’m super motivated to keep it up.

Jour is a NECESSITY during the pandemic. I have been battling depression and anxiety for my entire life. I can already tell a difference in my outlook, mood, and have been feeling less anxious. I have tried therapy, groups, medication, journaling, and meditation, but nothing has been able to help me like Jour! The recommendations, insights, guided journaling, and breathing exercises have been so helpful during this pandemic. The thing I love the most about Jour is that it is like a therapist on my tablet, without having to tackle social anxiety or the fear of being judged. I can be 100% honest knowing what I put in here is confidential. Thank you!

love this app!!!. I am absolutely in love with this app, it brings me so much calm coming to just write out my feelings. I love the daily mood check ups just overall amazing and I also really like the breathing tab I feel like it makes me more calm throughout the day. 10 out of 10 would recommend this app, this is the best journaling app I have ever had and I have tried out a bunch of apps to see which one is perfect for me and this one is it. If you know the app Reflectly it’s kind of like that and very similar ways overall I feel like this one is much much much much much better.

Great App!. I love this app! I like how it asks direct questions instead of the typical, “How are you today?” It helps get to the bottom of feelings and because it’s in the digital form it is more convenient then trying to find the time to ask myself the questions on my own and writing them down in a notebook. Highly recommend, but if you want the full access you have to pay. Completely understand that, people need to make money, but honestly for a basic day journal check in it’s great even without paying for full access.

Days. I really enjoy this app, it is very well build but my biggest problem with it is that it changes the date at midnight and you can’t change that. So if I have a crazy day and don’t get to me journaling until 12:30 at night it makes the entry for the next day and counts it for the next day. So I just finished my Friday but because it’s past midnight it looks as though I am journaling my Saturday and on top of that when I go to journal Saturday evening (which is technically later today but is my tomorrow) my daily check in will already be completed. I wish there was a way to select that I wanted to make a journal entry for Friday even thought the date has already changed.

Just how I imagined it!. I’m in love with this app! I am always excited to tell this game about my day. Like I actually have someone to talk to. I know you are probably expecting some bad news but i either haven’t figured out the bad news or there is none! Even though i have been using this app for only 2 days, i still think this is amazing! Its like I actually have someone to talk to. Because my brothers never listen to me but this app can ask me how I'm doing. This is the best app ever! I extremely recommend this app for sharing your feelings. ❤️

Dates on entries. I really love this app and I’ve been using it consistently for about a year now. I have about 22k words so far and this app really inspires me to write and helps me to get my thoughts in order. However, recently I’ve come upon an issue when simply clicking on older entries to read them, the date automatically changes to the current date. I find this very tedious because I don’t want to lose when I wrote these entries, as that information is a very important part of the context. If this gets fixed, I believe there is no other issue. This app is amazing and I definitely recommend!

Deep Discovery. This is the first time I found journaling useful I’ve never been able to truly look in to myself as a person and as a emotional beings and find any solace or comfort this is an amazing app for those who struggle with journaling or writing about their emotions or even confronting their emotions. It’s so simple but it really helps you dive deeper into who you are as a person and really reaches back into your subconscious I truly truly appreciate this app and it has saved my life in more ways than one I recommend this to all of my friends and I am so appreciative of something so helpful

Love it. I’ve always had a hard time prompting my own writing, and this app is perfect to get me started with journaling because of the prompts it provides. I love how simple the layout is and the reminders that it sends at whatever time you want it to. I’ve tried journaling dozens of times and this app has allowed me to stick with it longer than anything else I’ve tried. I think it’d be super awesome if somewhere on Jour there was a list of different words that you could use to describe what you’re feeling for the “how did you feel today?” prompt (with definitions as well). This would give the writers a broader vocabulary to describe how we’re feeling as the more words we have access to, the better our emotions can expressed. I think a couple more sections for specific life things would be great too (school, sports, work, religion, etc.) that people could take advantage of as well. Overall this is an awesome app and I really do love it :)

Very responsive developer (EDITED). I originally wrote a 1-star review griping about requiring an account & forcing syncing with the cloud. The developer FIXED IT. Really quickly. To give you an idea how rare this is: I have avoided a lot of apps because of these kinds of privacy issues, and written reviews griping about probably a quarter of them (maybe 20?). This is the ONLY time the developer has responded with anything other than CYA comments. I am very impressed. Now that I've been able to poke around a little & try it out, the app looks good, too. I like the idea, the layout, and the prompts. I plan to use it for at least a while, and try some Journeys.

5 stars!!. When I first saw the reviews for this app it basically has a 5 star rating and I thought about how impossible that is. Until, I got the app. Unlike Many other apps in the App Store, it has many different sections for you to choose from if you want to go past the one journal you have for your whole day. So for example, there is a dream journal and a unsent letter journal. For writing down your dreams and the other to write down thoughts and resolve conflicts inside yourself or with someone else a long time ago. I think it’s super cool and very straightforward. Edit: so.. I was writing a journal for the day and closed it I was rereading it and parts of it wasn’t there and it took a long time to write :( going to 4 stars :(

i love it! but.... i got this app almost a year ago looking to journal. it seemed almost too good to be true because it asked questions, had prompts, etc and it was all FREE no in-app purchases, no going “pro” it was all free. then i updated it and now to get all of the things you have to pay $60 a year. now it doesn’t seem to seperate itself from other apps. it was such a great option when on a budget. i guess i understand that money is needed to keep it going so it makes sense. although i don’t like this addition, the free parts are still pretty good. you can journal everyday and some parts of the pacts are free.

I don’t know. This app all in all is great. It’s an easy accessible way to wind down and evaluate how your feeling. But the things I wanted from this app cost more than I would have liked. I am not a person who spends money online so I stick to the basics of most apps. But I came across this app thinking it would a be at-least slightly different from some other self help journal apps. Instead I’m faced with very few features not including journaling, and breathing. 2 things I was genuinely looking forward to having access to from the app. I love the apps format but I just don’t understand why they can’t make these kinds of apps free. Or at least create more features to people like me who just want an easy access mental health app. At least give premium-less users guided journaling or let them choose what features they want 1-3 of their choice and the others that seem less important are set aside as a premium kit. Either way I honestly love the apps idea and message I just wish it was a bit cheaper. It could be me just being a cheap person but I just want an app that could help with things that I struggle with. Thanks for reading

Ok App. I did really like the idea of the app. But you have to pay to get most of the perks that the app comes with, that was very disappointing. I only had the app for a week but I deleted it because I was not impressed. The questions are all same unless you pay for personalized ones. I wish you could customize the options (ex. instead of sleep you could you were tired because of a party or something) I really was excited to try this out but I just go bored with it. It is a good journaling app just not the best. So if you like non-personalized questions and not being able to really do anything than try it out. I would still say try it out because your experience may be different than mine.

Great app, simplistic design. I've been using this app on my iPad this summer and I really enjoy it. I don't do the guided questions that often, but I do enjoy them! For the most part I like having the option to free write my thoughts, and there are no ads and the UI is really easy to use. Edit: Still loving this app! I have a suggestion. Could the timer for streaks be extended to something like 26 hours? I don't have my life put together enough that I go to bed at the same time each night, and I like to journal right before bed. It's kinda sad to lose a streak, when I've probably missed the streak by like half an hour.

PHENOMENAL APP!!. This app has helped me immensely! I am so thankful for it. During quarantine, I have been struggling with bad anxiety, and worrying too much. I use Jour everyday before I go to bed, and I use it to vent out my feelings, whether they were good or bad. Jour has taught me about gratitude, and self care. Let’s keep in mind that I’m 13, and I’m middle school. Jour has helped me clear up who I am inside, outside, and all-around my life in general. Whenever I miss a day of journaling, I genuinely feel sad, because I get excited to tell someone/something about my feelings that I’m too nervous to tell a human being. Thank you, creators and staff of Jour, for everything. ❤️✨✨❤️

Good free features. I’m not the type to write reviews, but I really liked this app. I’ve been looking for something like this and I’m very pleased at the way this works. I am a little disappointed in some of the things that only subscribers can get, but I think the free features are good. There is a daily journal with questions to get a good journal entry, and there are a few other journals that you can do with different goals. I’m not sure if the free feature lets you do the other journals as much as you want or only a few times. I’ve only had this app for a little. I’m excited to try this.

The reason I switched from paper to electronic. I have Kept daily journals and have been writing for as long as I could remember and have never had anything on a computer or phone that I found to like as much as a simple notebook and paper ... until now. This app is a live saver and it very easy to navigate and has great prompts to get your brain moving in not only a creative, but positive way. There is many ways to improve yourself and I think this app is set up in the best possible way and would recommend to everyone & am eager to see what upcoming updates for this app have in store . Thanks to everyone involved for making such a convenient and clean looking app that I’ve been waiting for !

app is amazing and has helped lots, but is crashing. i've looked everywhere and can't find ANYWHERE to contact jour for technical support, so writing a review was the next best way. ive been using jour for months now and absolutely love it, but as of may 6, 2021 the app won't open at all. ive uninstalled and reinstalled it, reset my phone, freed up storage, everything; but when i go to open the app, it shows a black screen for a few seconds before crashing. im also baffled as to how they don't have any form of customer support that i could find. ive already paid $60 for my yearly membership and don't enjoy the thought of that $60 going down the drain.

I love this app!!!. I absolutely love Jour! I really feel like what I write is private, and I love the courses that help you get through things! I’m a really sensitive person and the Let Go List has really helped me. I also think the dream journal is really fun too. I have one suggestion that I think would be a fun thing to add. Maybe we could be able to add photos to the Travel Journal? I know we’re supposed to describe the setting we’re in but I still think it would be fun to look back on Jour and remember that vacation and see the photos that may be gone from your phone by now. Otherwise, this app has been so fun and helpful! I’m starting to not be able to imagine my life without it! 😊

I wish everyone in the world used this app. One of the best pieces of advice I’ve ever been given goes something like this: “if you want to change the world, start with sorting yourself out first.” This app is a phenomenal tool to help you do just that. It uses clear, concise, yet very open-ended questions to get your thoughts going and out into words. I’ve found this app to be incredibly therapeutic and recommend it to anyone who wants to better understand themselves, which will help you authentically engage and love the people and world around you more.

Update!. After writing my first review and mentioning a bug that was causing my daily reflection to disappear and the app to crash they have fixed it! I think it’s great when developers really listen to what people are saying and make changes. The only reason I haven’t given this app five stars yet despite how great I think it is, is that while it is still a new app I think that the developers are really going to have to be on top of releasing new content. I think it’s really great to have the guided journeys and be able to go back and complete them again when needed but I still feel like there could be more. I’m sure they are on the way!

Love it, there’s just 1 thing... I wish there was a choice for a monthly subscription payment. I can’t afford the $60 annual fee. I’d really love to read my daily breakthrough and insights. It was nice to have access to those during the free trial, now I miss it. I have always wanted to journal, but was never able to continually do it. I have been able keep up with my journaling almost everyday after using this app. It feels so good to get my thoughts down. I love that it asks how I feel then asks me what is making me feel that way. After, I’m prompted to notice why it’s making me feel that way. So it really makes me think deeply about the reasons I feel the way I do. I would like it if when you chose other in the second part, you could fill in the blank for what other means for yourself. Today after the regular stuff, it had me write down what makes me feel relaxed. It really opened my eyes to how important such a little task as showering is so relaxing to me right now. Especially being a new mom, this really helps me be more grounded and give me something I can focus on just for myself. Thanks, Alan Mind.

Only 1 more feature and it would be PERFECT!. I absolutely love this app and am happy with the full access subscription! The self check-in and journal prompts are so intuitive and I really enjoy using them. My only wish is that the videos had language options. While it is nice that they have subtitles, because of the deep insights they provide, it would be really helpful to be able to actually listen in your preferred language and immerse yourself in it! Other than that, it’s become one of my absolute favorites and I can’t recommend it enough! Thanks for providing such a great resource!!

It really helped. I was looking for something to help with my issues being a minor and my parents not believing me when I asked if I could have therapy to help with my problems I sought out to find something to help since that was the only thing I could do and stumbled upon this app. Of course I was skeptical but tried it anyways. It seemed like it wasn’t going to help but after only six days I was drawing. I haven’t drawn in months. That was when I realized that the app helped get back to my old self. And I am extremely grateful and will keep using the app.

My progress. So far it’s help me realize I am enough and I should stop worrying abt what others think of me and do what I think is best for me which I mostly think is boosting my confidence working on my face and doing what I love getter. My career started at a young age to help me when I get to the age I want so that I will succeed and thrive so if your just like me stop sitting around feeling useless download the app! And get your thriving on sis!😌 it’s what yhu gotta do if your young like me you shouldn’t be worry abt it but if yhu are come on get started today 😁

I like it but.... This app is great. I have tried different journaling apps but I always end up falling away from it because I just need more structure, especially when I’m not feeling particularly motivated. This app has helped so much with that. My issue is that the app doesn’t let you edit. Specifically when I write my dreams down in the morning, I’ll finish it, but sometimes I remember other parts of my dream throughout the day and want to add them in, and it doesn’t let you edit once you’ve hit the check mark. I would REALLY love it if I could actually edit my entries to avoid leaving out important details.

Good, but repetitive. This app was really good for me at first. I love that it provides simple prompts to stimulate processing your day. This was perfect for me as I was working a draining job and didn’t have much of a capacity to think deeply or write for long periods of time. However, it quickly becomes repetitive. It runs out of thoughtful, creative prompts after a week or two. For instance, it has literally given me “How to Feel Happy Like a Monk” four times in a row. To me, that’s not worth the subscription fee. If I could go back, I would just use the base version. The base version provides the pros I like (short, simple prompts), and while still repetitive (i.e., frequent “Who is one person who inspires you?”), at least I’m not out any money that way.

Only journaling app that has actually helped me.. After getting on antidepressants and therapy, I felt like I needed extra help to get me through the most difficult days, where I had no one to speak to and no one to tell me it was going to be ok. This app has changed my life for the better. It has helped me feel better about myself with the reaffirmations, helped with my anxiety attacks, helped greatly in forgiving myself and others and in assuring myself that things will be ok. I also really enjoy recording my dreams on the dream journal as I get some crazy dreams but forget them pretty quickly. I extremely recommend it to anyone!

Limited Pricing Options. This journal has done wonders for me. It has helped me to deconstruct my thinking and my feelings, as well as help me trace my steps to find emotional balance. Great for when you are walking the edge and need to decompress all that’s going on inside. Beautiful illustrations and design! I love it! The actual app itself is a 5 star for me. I give it 2 stars because there is only one pricing option. You pay $60 to have access to all features for a whole year. It would be an improvement if there was a monthly subscription option as well, for those who don’t have the option to cough up the $60. Until I am in a stable job where $60 is affordable, I simply don’t know if I can continue using this app:( And that makes me so sad! It’s been so helpful and impactful in my daily life, I just wish there was more subscription options.

Incredible and Free? Wow!. Day one: Jour is awesome. The fact that it fully encrypts your entries so only YOU and YOU ALONE can read them makes this the best journaling app out there. Developer, please note: if/when you make this a paid app and/or subscription please take into account Family Sharing on iOS. I will happily pay an annual subscription fee IF it covers my entire Apple “Family Sharing” family. I realize that apps requiring servers and storage on the back-end are trending to subscription fees, and that’s fine. But annual must allow your family to share or I’m not going to pay. (Unless the annual fee is stupid cheap, like, $12 a year or something.) $40 annual should cover an entire family. Thank you for keeping our privacy in the forefront of your minds when developing this app. No one should share their private, deepest, innermost thoughts without the client side strong encryption. No one should ever be able to read our journals.
