Hard. I got stuck on level 5but after that it was okay

Incredible. This game is super fun and addicting. Watching a level complete itself is quite satisfying. I like how each level builds off the last one so you really feel like you’ve learned how each bot works together. Some levels feel like the only way to beat them is to randomly push buttons until it works. Still stuck on level 27. The “struggle” is real. Would recommend if you like brain teasers and puzzles. P.S. it would be nice to have a hint button for the later levels. Doesn’t have to give the whole solution but just enough to push players in the right direction. Thanks, AJC

This is great!. The second I saw this app, I wanted to download it, so i got it and waited till it came out. I had some trouble and level ten but i beat it. This is a really fun game that can test you IQ. Too bad I couldn’t buy the rest of the game. Maybe let us get at least a couple more free stages so we don’t only get a single hard stage for those who can’t buy the rest of the game. This game is awesome and keep up the good work. Also another thing, i finished levels 1-10, the free ones, in a day, so another reason for us to get more free levels. Thanks for reading!! And to those who think that the game is too easy, well... you’re wrong about that i’ll tell you. The level starting on level 12 are really challenging and boots up your mind. Make the whole game free. Why did you have to make the game cost money like your game could’ve done good if you made it free I was having fun then you ruined it . I’m very sorry for being rude before I was in a bad mood .also I don’t hate adds people that complain about them don’t understand that it’s your only way of making money also you don’t have to make a free version sorry

Great game, one caveat.. The game is great once you realize task priority works from the bottom line up but loops from the top line down. Meaning it’ll go from top down unless 2 lines compete, then the lower line takes priority. It’s explained a bit late in the game and kind of counterintuitive, but works.

Executed well and educational. I took a computer science class in high school. I was always drawn in by the game-like structure of trial and error that is coding. I’ve only been through the first 10 or so levels but it found this game to be engaging, fun, and dare I say it even educational. All the command I’ve seen have had clear and useful purposes that result in easily learnt syntax and game mechanics.

Fun. Very fun till I got to level 8. I’ve tried a ton of times and it offers no help besides use the signals for communication. Add something where if you fail so many times it offers hints?

Great Game. This game is both challenging in fun. Some of the levels can be really hard, but others can be moderately challenging. I think level 20 was the hardest level so far, and if anyone is stuck on a level I advise taking a break and trying it again later. I think the developers should add a feature where you can program your bots to go directly to another bot, like how they can go to waypoints. This might already be a function, and I might not have unblocked it yet, and if it is, then nvm. Great game, thanks for reading.

It’s a big strategic thinker-type game. 🧠. It’s a fun app, and ALL the levels are solvable. Really gets the gears ⚙️ in your brain turning. Note that this app requires extreme patience, as the levels get longer and longer as you go, and the difficulty gets harder. This app runs very smoothly on my iPad.

Good, one thing though. It is an addicting and fun game, but the “pay $3 for lvl.s 10-30 is NOT FUNNY. If you’re going to play it that way, make the game $3. But besides that, awesome game.

Very fun and addicting game but I believe this is a bug... I was enjoying playing through the levels but I just hit a point on like the 6th level where you need to lure enemy soldiers into your friendly bastion but when I put the command detect an enemy is believes my own bastion is an enemy and screws up the level. Not sure of bug or just not solving puzzle right but I gave up on trying and will waiting until I find out or it is fixed.

Yay, finally. I remember that there used to be a game where younwould build a robaot and program it to fight in an arena. I cant remember the name, but it became unpopular, so its gone. I am so happy to play this. A thinking game. 😃

Maybe decent for people who want to learn programming. I’m a novice programmer with a very good feel for the logic behind programs. I have never worked with AI before and thought maybe this game could be a way to get my feet wet (and have some fun). I left with accomplishing either of those. First of all the programming is so basic that it hurts, required almost no actual problem solving. In terms of gameplay it was still awful because the programming is so bad. It’s basically tell the units to go here and shoot, legendary game dev Sid Meier called a game a series on meaningful choices, this is a series of meaningless choices. I give it a 3 out of 10, since it’s a cool concept. Only upside is that people who want to learn programming can learn how to think about programming (but BY NO MEANS will it teach you programming)

Love the game, programming does not work right.. If you give it commands it ignores them and goes to the next. If I set it to go to a location and not fire, then have the next line tell it to do something when it detects an enemy, such as fire, and it just sits at the start and fires randomly. It is just skipping the first line and ignoring the fact that it shouldn’t fire without enemies nearby. I took coding in high school and I understand the basics. I know I’m not getting the order messed up, unless the number one means that line goes last. Excellent concept though and I’ll continue despite my difficulties as I still love it. Playing on iPhone X so the phone isn’t the problem surely.

Good concept, flawed execution. On level 12, you’re supposed to use distance detectors to move your bot to point C. It should be as simple as two “When [distance] do [move to the other point]”...but the robot keeps moving toward the same point you’re checking your distance (which shouldn’t happen since you’re moving away from the point when you’ve detected the particular distance). Soooo...I needed to send out a signal so that this dumb robot would actually move away and keep moving. But it’s not just this needless complication that’s the problem (a few other times it wasn’t clear exactly what the limits of your commands are); the game feels kind of barebones and doesn’t have anything else beside the existing levels. It’s neat, but needs more.

Responsive Devs. Encountered an issue, reported it and the devs were quick to respond and fixed the issue.

Hey there I have a big problem I can’t restore the thing that lets u unlock full game and after trying to beat 11 I want to restore it cause it’s to hard and I’m only 8 so I do not know that much about programming and stuff like that and if any of u guys know how to return the thing please tell meh

Ok. Was really good in the beginning but after level ten I couldn’t play. I don’t normally spend money on games so I didn’t. But the thing is, I did the pre order which promised the full game. I was waiting for months and now on the first day I am so disappointed. Only get this game if you are willing to pay.

Fun Game but..... So this game is amazing and a lot of great potential here. A fun puzzle game that forces you to think ahead. However, only the first 10 levels are free. Once you beat them you have to pay to unlock the rest of the levels

I love it but....... I would give this game a five star review, if more than ten levels where free. I understand why they would want to do that I mean they need to make money, but they could just add perks or an add once in a while to do that. It’s an amazing game and I love it but I’ll give it five stars when you can play more than ten levels.

Meh. I had high hopes when I saw this game, but it’s more “command organizing” than programming. First 10 levels will take you 5 mins and then it’s $3 to keep playing. Not worth it if it’s all going to be this easy. Disappointed by the lack of unit management and detailed programming. Maybe later on it gets more exciting, but I’m not willing to pay the $3 to be let down some more. Only reason this isn’t two stars is cause I really like the idea of being able to program my units, I just wish it was a little more fleshed out. A unique game, nothing really like this on the App Store.

Limited. Like the simplicity of this title, so is the game. Functions are too basic to fully understand, theres no values to set like timing and range in the early stages of the game and I don't even think I have the patience to go to the end levels and buy the rest. This game is not for coding or programming, it’s just a fancy and tedious puzzle game. Until this game actually gets full in depth support, I do not recommend. If your going into coding, please don’t use these games. Use Scratch or Minecraft Java for basic fun and a side hobby.

That is so dumb!. I was having a blast with this game until I got past level 10 because after that all of the other levels require an in app purchase to access... Man I really liked this game... Shame to the developers for making you pay for the rest of the game... 🤦‍♂️

Great free add free puzzle game. This may not be the best game in the App Store, but it is way better than countless pointless games with 5 stars out there. Plus no ads! Just some good old puzzle solving :)

Great Game. As a strategy game, it is a little bit difficult to begin with. You have to think about the logic between each action and somehow predict the enemy’s next step. But when you get used to this game, I bet you will enjoy it a lot. Just like the game description, this game is like real-time programming. I been playing for 15 minutes and currently at the level 8. Again, this is a really interesting game, not to mention that it is for free.

A game for future programmers. Actually a dang good game. This game is simple to learn but also challenging. Not another senseless game without meaning. You learn to plan out your moves and improves your logic skills.

So far so good.. It kind of feels like you are programming a robot but without the difficulty of knowing engineering. I am liking this game so far. Give it a try. And if you are good at it and have never considered programming in your life. Then you know you also like it. 👍

Great app!!!. This is a very good app. Before I got this app i played the LEGO fix the factory app. It was ok, I blew right through it. It seemed a little boring, right, forward, up, left, down..... then I found the Exception app. Still somewhat basic and easy enough for those starting out with programming apps but with a added level of challenge. Great app, guys!!!

Great game, but needs sandbox. This game is really fun since I wanted to learn some basic coding skills and I LOVE robots, but I thought that there should be a level creator mode or sandbox mode so you can make your own levels for other people to play and a mode to play other people’s levels and also a co-op mode for you to play with friends. Thank you.

Very entertaining. Just started my intro to computer science course. This is a fun way to take the basic concepts of coding without making it too complicated for anyone to play!

I just had a great idea... PUBLISHABLE CUSTOM LEVELS! you could use the base of a level. Edit it. Place enemies and allies. And then play and publish it. So you can play others levels and they can play yours! Developers, also, DON’T PUT ANY ADDS! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE! IF THE NEXT UPDATE DOESN’T HAVE ADDS, I WILL BUY THE FULL GAME!

It’s fun. Its not really programming, but it does teach you how to think logically like a programmer with simple if/then commands My big issue is I was under the impression the game is free, it’s only kind of free, with most levels locked behind a paywall, or optionally watching a video every time you want to play. I like it!. I'm enjoying it. I'm only on level 7 and it is currently very easy but steadily getting harder so I'll update the review once I've gotten a little further. The only negative thing I have to say about it is that the game won't allow me to listen to Pandora while playing the game. Please fix this!!!!

Inconsistent Execution. Your support page linking from the app store errors, so I am contacting you this way. I have observed inconsistent execution of the bots. The same program might be successful once and fail the next time. The bots don’t execute their behaviors deterministically (ie the exact same way every time). Perhaps there is some randomness involved? This is common in AI but in a teaching game I wouldn’t expect it to come into play until later and then be explicitly explained. If I am using a function that adds two numbers, and that’s what it says it does. I expect the result to always be the sum of those two numbers, and not occasionally return something off by one or the occasional zero. Actually on second thought this kind of behavior could be detrimental in learning about coding and how computers work.

Good. Very fun to play. Level 10 was a challenge, but I still got through it pretty quick. Wish there were more free levels. Might buy the rest, but I’m going to hold off for now.

Great game but what happened to level nine. I had the game before and got up to level ten and decided I wanted to try again. But level nine is different now and seems impossible to beat. What happened?

Programming lite. Clever concept with some interesting puzzles, I hope to see more levels in the future. Overall this is an excellent game and well worth the $3.

Great. First review written for an app. I have got to say that this app is beautiful. I just got it today and I’m on level 8. One of the best learn-to-code apps I have seen.

Exception is a good concept. But the problem that keeps coming up is scripting errors when retreating it doesn’t seem to work with level 5 they run away for about two seconds then get stuck on the middle of the board like there is a wall in the way

Nice job. I really like this game, the tutorial is effective even though it usually takes a few tries to nail stuff like multiple paths and so on. I like this type of game where it’s ultimately your fault if you lose but you learn as you fail. I would also be onboard with a multiplayer mode also because I think it would be interesting using the programming element as well as strategy but I’ll leave it to you guys to decide.

Needs more levels. More a question than a review, but are you going to add more levels? This game is super fun and I would to play more of it

Tries too hard. This game could be so much more simple- the concepts about programming its teaching are very basic, yet the game gives you confusing levels to try and teach and explain them to you, further confusing you. Also, the game itself is basic... there are 10 levels and all you really do is move to a tile and shoot. Even if you want to get a basic understanding of programming, you shouldn’t play this. It will just confuse you.

Why?. I understand that as a game developing company you need money, but why make the game free then hit us with the price tag once we start to enjoy the game. Maybe it’s just me but why not add ads like every other company, or make the game cost money to even download. I had just completed the tenth level expecting a tough new challenge, but instead I got a pop-up asking me to pay for the rest of the game. Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed the game. A great game for most out there who are clueless but interested in programming, especially kids!. This game is a fun take on intro programming theory. It in no way teaches you how to program AI, BUT that wasn’t the point, nor do the developers make that assertion. What this game does do is get’s you in a brain-space to help you think about how programming is done. If-Then loops, prioritisation, and theory crafting. A great game for most out there who are clueless but interested in programming, especially kids!

Basically an ad for the game. Apple put this on its front page to advertise it. You get into the game and it has a good UI and feed back, good mechanics, nice game. Once you get to level 10, however, you will then need to either watch an advertisement (a video about something else) in order to continue and play the level, or buy the whole game. So effectively they(apple) will advertise this cash cow on their front page, try to get you hooked, and then spring the trap. If they wanted you to actually play the game they would’ve shown the “full game” version, but no. What we now have is a demo that you get suckered into downloading and after learning the mechanics you can give them money to have fun or waste time watching ads. No thanks, that’s a 1 Star from me for wasting my time, storage, and being deceptive.

Programming Gameplay. Free version - Interesting take on gameplay—plan and execute. Don’t worry about runtime boredom, as there’s a "speed up" button to help quicken the suspense of, "Did I get it right?’ A+ for the developers

Great but not always the best. The game is great, don’t get me wrong. My only problem is that on level 15 I physically cannot get past it. Even if I use the solution given. What I think is the problem is that the enemy drone of the same type has a slightly bigger range than your drone. That might be the whole problem but I don’t know. It would be great if that got fixed

Great game!. I just started playing an hour ago, and I already love it! The gameplay can be a little confusing at times but the manual does help. The gameplay and visuals are nice too! I’ll admit, this game probably isn’t for everyone because it’s programming but it’s fun for me at least. That’s why I gave 5 stars

Bug. I pre-ordered it as well and I was really excited to play. I think my game had a bug or something because for the first to days I had the game I could play past level 10 and then it said I needed to pay. 😡😡😡

A beautiful game. This game is one of a kind. I love the developers minimalist style and design and how it teaches programming concepts while keeping it interesting, fun and challenging. Don’t listen to the people whining about how you have to pay after level 10... it’s remarkable this game is even free to play in the first place and I agree with the devs decision not to include ads which would take away from the experience. It is definitely worth it to pay the three dollars to play the full game and if you can’t afford that you can watch an ad to unlock the next level. My only suggestion would be to add more levels or a separate section teaching programming concepts of different languages more directly as this game has a lot of potential to make learning coding and programming fun and engaging. Thank you so much for such a great useful game!

Dissapointed. I was playing the game and loving it, until I beat level 10 and then I had to pay 3,99 for the rest of the game which sucked because there is no warning or disclaimer saying this is a demo. If I a game in the title has nothing saying demo, then this should be a full game And multiplayer would be nice

Amazing!. I just played the whole game in 2 days. This is by far the best mobile game I’ve ever played. This game needs thinking and good skill, not just 1 finger, it takes your whole brain to play this, and I got to say, in mobile games, it’s rare. Keep on developing the game, and I wouldn’t be surprised if this game would be named ‘’mobile game of the year’’. For updates I’d recommend developing new characters to create new strategies, like the furies-scouts one, or anything. As well as new levels. Good luck!!!!

Fails to execute scripts as described. After a first execution of a script, the game will jump to the final statement and continue executing it repeatedly, rather than loop through the script as described. As a result the game in unplayable after the first few scenarios.

Bug on LvL12. You can’t assign a new path when the conditions are passed, but you can stop the agent. However, it never mentions the priority of different movements. Also, it never says new paths cannot be assigned when the former one isn’t done. It can’t be tolerated ,especially for a logic game.

Puzzle game more than a programming game. Neat graphics and intuitive UI. I was disappointed that the programming style was such a departure from traditional procedural languages. More a puzzle game than a programming game.
