Twitter list add. The app is great, and if you're adding twitter lists to make it perfect, it's highly recommended

Not updated for over a year. I like this app for Twitter cause it takes out all the garbage Twitter had on my feed that I don’t want to see. I put this at three stars cause I’m not sure if this apps been abandoned since there has not been any updates since 2021. Another is can’t watch videos horizontally. And last no feature to bookmark a tweet. This can be such a great app but worried the super got the app is gone.

Notifications. Why am I constantly getting notifications for people that I do not follow. How do I stop this, it’s getting very annoying.

Seen view doesn’t work; Dev MIA. Dev won’t respond to any inquiries. The Seen screen is a great idea but doesn’t populate with any tweets. No idea why not. Just a blank screen. The whole News thing is another great idea but not really anything remarkable. Just an average Twitter client. Better off just sticking with Twitter’s own app.

Excellent Twitter Experience.. Birdie providesAn excellent Twitter experience! It’s a free app complete with themes, the ability to change the icon, a button that links directly to news on Twitter, And of course no ads are sponsored posts. If there is an in app purchase for pro I would be making it. I was looking for a Twitter client to purchase when I found this free app. It feels as though I’ve just gotten away with something LOL.I understand why it has such high ratings. I’d like to know how the developer plans to continue to develop the app without charge you a fee, because I would like to see this app go away anytime soon.

Hands Down. best kept secret that shouldn’t be kept - hence this review for your sake. Do you wish you could utilize Twitter without ads and having to see everything that everyone else likes or shares? This is it. I’m not sure how the developers are paying for this - nor am I sure how long it will last in this incredibly pure form - but I’m going to enjoy it for as long as it does. Keep it up, Birdie. You’re doing it.

Great App!!. Loving this new Twitter app. Is there a way to see what persons use to send their tweets like the normal twitter app? And also to edit profile bios?

Why copy from clipboard?. Pretty interface but loathe that it copies my clipboard. Otherwise privacy policies look good. Please stop copying from my clipboard.

Great experience. By far the best twitter app over others. It’s ad-free, has a clean layout, and has all the features I need. My only concern is, how is it being funded to keep it ad-free, and why hasn’t it received any updates in awhile? If the developers still view these reviews, a response would be wonderful.

Crazy interface!. Just downloaded the app. The user interface is 2x better than tweetbot.

Why the useless top, new , seen & even the bigger header Home eating essential top space.. I would’ve given 4 starts but on the main user interface the most essential screen area is eaten by the useless buttons of top, new, seen and a bigger header “Home”. Why do we need these buttons and why would you destroy a beautiful and clean interface with these?

Birdie makes Twitter great again. This really is an amazing app - it takes the best of Twitter and presents it beautifully. The fact that it collects interesting news articles from your timeline is a nice plus. This is what twitter should be - simple and impactful, minus the trolls and bots.

Great Potential But Inferior To Official Twitter App. Until a Twitter app can dethrone the official app it needs to at the very least be able to perform ALL the same functions and more. Probably is some basic functionality found in the official twitter app is missing. Even comment threads are poorly payed out compared to the official app. Until these issues are fixed I won’t be using birdie which is too bad because it has potential.

Very Amazing app.... The creators of this app deserves a five star rating this is the best app i have come across so far even better than the twitter app itself. Please just keep up with your Good work you have been doing on this app. I am very grateful. A good app without ads or subscription and still has quality in it. Thank you so much for this app.

Very nice. I actually really like the layout and its pretty smooth. Wish when I refreshed though it would keep my at my current position Instead of having to scroll down to where I was.

Best Twitter App ever!. Hands down one of the most polished twitter apps.. twice as better than TweetBot! I just love the way how everything is so simple and not cluttered.

Best Twitter Client So Far. Only complaint is that the polls don’t display/show at all or give any choices. Also it would be nice if you could have the media tab on profiles. Otherwise it’s a great client, probably the best on here

Nice look but buggy. I love the clean look and focus on news but it was too buggy to use. Can’t tap pictures to view, too easy to accidentally tap and open the wrong thing, froze a couple times.

Any updates coming?. The app has a lot of potential but it’s buggy. I see there haven’t been updates since 2019. Will this app ever be updated? Is anyone still working on it? Or should I just delete it?

Favorites list. Are you guys going to add an option to view tweets we have favorited?

Beautiful Twitter Client. Some Suggestions. First of all, this app is, in my opinion, better than the Twitter app itself. It’s beautiful, clean, and easy to use. I do have some suggestions though: 1) Please allow the app to go into landscape mode while viewing media. It’s frustrating trying to watch a video in portrait all the time. 2) When I get a notification, if I tap on it, it should take me to the actual tweet. Instead, it just opens the app. 3) I would like to turn off notifications from favorites without having to turn the app notifications off. Just because they are a favorite doesn’t mean I want to be notified EVERY TIME they tweet.

I like it alot. A very good application. Just very good. I like it more than native. There are only two nuances. First, I would like to hide the new tweet button. Second, it would be nice to be able to add retweeted users to ignored.

Awesome!. I really love the whole design! I do wish that photos could be viewed on tap and that certain links wouldn't just show up as links, but overall amazing job!

Great app. Overall, it’s a great Twitter client (especially for its price). However, it still have room for improvement: 1. Pls add “slide to exit video” function 2. Those little heart icons on the favorites tab are very hard to tap. 3. Maybe consider let user define the size of avatars and texts? Thank you developers for buildings this app.🥳

Great app, needs an update to fix bugs. I like this app more than the official twitter app. Only thing is it need a bit more polishing and it’ll be my go to app. Also the news section is way better than twitters.

Seemed interesting at first... But then saw that it copies your clipboard every time you open the app (apple’s popup message stating that it copied from the clipboard). So if you copied anything sensitive like bank info etc. then it would be pasted to the app and there is no way to see how it’s being used or where it’s being sent to. Ended up deleting the app.

Good for news, but lacking some basic functionality. Birdie looks great and introduces a very nice system for using Twitter as a news client, but it’s kind of unfriendly to people who like viewing their regular timelines as well. It’s unable to load comments on retweets and the like buttons are small and hard to press. The app also hides anything you type when you are using # and @ which is really annoying.

Great Twitter app!. This is the best Twitter app I have found that isn't riddled with ads that require a monthly subscription fee to remove.. Apps should not be subscription based (unless it's a video streaming service). This app also doesn't drain the tar out of my battery as the "official" Twitter app does. Just one request if I may though! Would be cool if while scrolling through tweets the top/bottom bars become hidden. They take up a bit of space. Could even add it as a feature with a toggle switch for hiding top or bottom or both 😉 Other than that though, hands down the best Twitter app!

No more floating buttons please. I love the app, but I really really really wish there wasn't a floating tweet button. It's one of my biggest gripes about the actual twitter app

New update app version ?. Are you guys working on a new update ? Brining new features ? What’s the status of this great app!

An Improvement but still needs more features. This app is for sure an improvement over the stock Twitter app but there are a few things that keep me from using this otherwise really good Twitter app alternative. 1: Let us see how many people have responded to a tweet. If you can show us how many people liked and retweeted a post, why not replies as well??? 2: Give us the ability to also add gifs to tweets. I’m one of those people who use gifs in almost all of my tweets. It was a shame it’s not yet in the app. 3: Where is the dev? I feel like he or she has been MIA because the last time this app has been updated was 5 months ago. (I am writing this review on May 29, 2019) What’s going on over there?

Suggestions. In Favorite Tab, instead of people up there, show our list. I mean, for example, Friends, Family, Hollywood Stars and etc. I mean we can add our personal list and when we touch every circle (List) we can see the tweets of that list. And most important, we can add the people who not following by us.

Decent but. Great app to view tweets with no ads but you can’t view lists and it’s not very intuitive to retweet, like to reply to tweets. It’s ok nothing wow.

Great start, dev is MIA. 4 months since the last update and some things don't work right. All tweets in Favorites section are duplicated. Normal timeline jumps around so I lose where I was at as I was scrolling. Both happen each time I am using the app and it wastes my time. If the app didn't have the favorites section, I'd probably give this 1-star and delete the app but I really like the notifications for the faves I selected. I like this better than how the main Twitter app does it. I tweeted for support since there is no email address in the Help section, it just makes you send a tweet. Then the dev never replied. I've waited for months for a reply. I give up. Maybe this will generate a response and maybe they'll fix the bugs. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Needs a few tweaks. Nice app with a couple bugs, mainly the back button shows both an arrow and the label “Button”. I’d you could get rid of “button” that would be great! But , this is a completely free app with no ads and this isn’t exactly urgent. So ... when you get around to it, it would make the app just that much better.

Good Alternative. It’s a beautiful and well designed app. I just suggest adding the ability to 3D Touch Im image and videos to preview it. And the ability to see how many replies there are on a tweet.

Good app but one gripe. If I tap on a tweet to view it or its replies/conversation, in the top left corner of the app I’ll see an arrow and the word “button” on top of the arrow. It’s such a beautiful app overall, but this is distracting and ugly. I don’t use Birdie that much anymore because of this.

Amazing app with some flaws. First off this app in my opinion is better looking than the stock Twitter app, but the only reason I will be going back to the stock Twitter app is because of the timeline. Honestly I would just get rid of the seen and new section and make it a single timeline. Or at least give the option to do that, but other than that no complaints!

Doesn’t work on iPhone 12 mini & latest iOS. I want to use this app. I’ve tried reinstalling it three times over the last year to see if it runs on my device yet - it still does not. I can see the elements of the app when I open it. But zero content from Twitter is populated. Two stars for great looking screenshots of the app functioning. Tweetbot and Twitter apps work fine fwiw. Haven’t tested on other iPhone models and iOS versions.

Nice, simple, sofisticated.. The lay out is super easy on the eyes, simple to use, the news tab is very useful.

Missing. Hard to search when you find it does not scroll item at top unable to select no scroll overall its getting there

It is a ok app. I like the app itself, it’s just I have my notifications on for the app and put people in the favorites section and don’t get notifications for them. The app is good though.

Cool but DM’s don’t pop up.. Tried everything and my DM’s (groupchat and normal) don’t pop up, sending or receiving either.

Birdie. Great app, literally the only thing is I can’t view videos in landscape mode, very annoying

Beautiful but unstable. It crashes when we want to customize the tab bar, and video only plays for 1second. Practically unwatchable

Pretty clean! But need…. The app is pretty clean and good! But need the feature to download videos. Right now you can share, download pictures but no videos. Also there isn’t a media tab or where to go to see precisely that, to see the medias apart of the regular tweets. Thanks for the attention!

My favourite twitter alternative. • Beautifully designed UI • Customisable dark modes and app icons • Different ways to read your timeline • Including a curated news section and it all works perfectly, I’m just waiting for direct messages to allow group texting and then it’ll be a complete twitter killer

Almost replaced my twitter app. I really liked the design of the app until I realized I cannot delete the tweets and cannot forward or share my tweets with as direct messages. Also, the back button looks broken. It displays back icon and button at the same time. The invite friend feature should automatically suggest my twitter connections not open the share sheet.

Best Twitter App. This app is excellent. I’m surprised it is completely free. Give me an option to tip you and buy you a coffee at the very minimum! The fact this is offered for free is amazing

Not ready for prime time. Really want to love the App. Just seems not ready for daily use. Would love to have option to see link samples in tweet like the official app, and broader ability to mute words and tailor the for you news section to remove topics. Also icon doesn’t change when selected in options. Keeping installed to monitor updates but not strong enough to move from official app.

Reads clipboard at each and every launch. Warning: Birdie is reading your clipboard every-time you launch the app. Why does it do this? Very shady. Removing it until this is fixed.

great but needs an update. its great. needs an update now, been 2 months. nothing too major..just to add the ability to notify you when you get new followers and some minor bug fixes

A Few Things Short of Perfect. I think this app does a ton incredibly well and I don’t want to understate that. However, there are a couple things that make me unable to switch to Birdie as my primary twitter client and I feel they could be easily addressed to make Birdie better: -Why does the most recent tweet in the “new” section go away when you refresh (same with the top tweet in the “top” section)? When I scroll up from the top of the timeline to refresh, the tweet that was at the top disappears. This continues for each subsequent refresh; it looks like tweets are marked as “new” and then get “read” so they go to your “seen” list, but why not keep them in both places? I can’t really understand why you’d want your tweets that are in chronological order to go away. -It does not appear that you can read Tweet “threads” linearly; I can only seem to see the first tweet in a thread and no more. I’m not sure if this is a situational thing, bug, or feature. -Links don’t have preview images. In the official twitter client, links in tweets will show a preview image, but they don’t in Birdie. This may be an API issue or up to the dev’s preference, but I’d at least like to see an option for this if possible. -I feel like the header takes up far too much space when scrolling. The top part of the interface, while it does collapse during scrolling, is too intrusive in my opinion as it is nearly the size of a whole tweet. I would like to see this have an option to be collapsible like in many other twitter apps so we can have more screen real estate. -The same thing goes for the gaps, or margins, between the edges of tweets and the content within them (and between the text of the tweet and the interaction buttons) —they seem awfully large; some shorter tweets look dwarfed compared to the empty space around them and it would be nice to be able to customize this or have a “compact” mode. Maybe make the margin scale with the font size? The current margins really work poorly with the smallest one in my opinion; it seems to work better with the bigger sizes. I’m not sure if I’m alone in these qualms, but I hope a developer sees some of these things and agrees with me :)! Again, there’s so much done right here, and I think it could easily be a perfect app for me if the couple problems I outline above are addressed (although I admit those may be preferential/personal things).
