Excellent App to learn very specific idioms. I was happy to come across this app. I have been learning new interesting idioms in daily bases. Highly recommend it.

Entirely to expensive for what is provided. Maybe it is just me but most of the idioms listed are things you would know by just existing. If the price to unlock everything was like $10 maybe I’d be interested but wanting almost $500 is insane. Read some books it is way cheaper

Extremely expensive. I find this app to be extremely expensive for $8 a week for Grand total of US$416 a year. This is a complete joke. I strongly recommend that you folks steer clear of this app due to the high price, poor features and dismal functionality.

Surreal. A bit confusing, yet very much welcome! I or we as a people always can do better in our word selections. I was doing or trying hard to do well in word selections on two word games Word Wars & Word friends 2 . I lose often but that is to make you better I run out of current internet reasons excuses oh well many players are using words of different languages, well. If I find it costs I will have to let it go! The idiom app which I find confusing but I like .

Broken dreams. Sometimes broken dreams can be really hard, but we need to walk even with our heart broken.

Disappointed. Please let me try the app with ads without having to sign up for it and pay! I was thoroughly excited about the concept of this app but deleted it before even trying the app as it asked me to sign up immediately. You are loosing tons of people doing it this way. It is a shame :( If you change it, I will make sure I update my review!

Not for non-English speaking people. This app is only for people who already know English. This did not help the person I downloaded it for at all because she does not know English, she just moved here. It explains everything in English, that doesn’t help someone that doesn’t know the language. I do not recommend this app for anyone looking to LEARN English.

It’s ok but.... I like the idea of this app, but it’s another subscription service which is unappealing. I probably will not play a monthly fee for this. The other issue is, I know all the idioms they have shown so far so I’m not learning anything new yet. Good idea tho. Maybe it gets harder over time.

Don’t purchase it. I have purchased and I am using it now but there are very limited contents and above that, half of the courses and games are not accessible without any reason. Personally I feel I have wasted my money.

I love this app but just way too expensive. This is exactly what I need as an English learner, who is able to communicate but need more various expressions to be more fluent. So, I was willing to pay for this app, however, $10 per week or $100 per year? It does not make sense. $30 per year must be the right payment for it..(though some might think it's still expensive) I would rather buy an idiom book or look for some references on the internet. Sorry guys. It is really a good app! Except for the price.

Don’t waste your time. This is an app that claims to help English learners by teaching idioms. However, there are many misspelled or incorrect words in the app. Even their advertisements are full of errors. On top of that, this app wants users to pay monthly (or yearly) fees that are well beyond the quality of their product. I am an English teacher and I would never recommend this, in fact I would specifically use this app as an example of how NOT to learn English.

Where are my scores?. I downloaded this app to practice my idioms as I am an English speaker who doesn't use very many and could use a boost. Anyway I want to know how I am improving. These "quizzes" are not graded, so there is little motivation. Easy fix.

This is definitely good for retraining and focus. The only issue I have is that most sites are 9.99 a month.. this site is weekly!!!?!!! Come on really !?

Beware, they charge $9.99/week. We are extremely dissatisfied as after the free trial, they started charging 9.99/week, yes per week, not per month. Also, there is no option from the app itself to cancel the subscription. We had to call Apple Support and they walked us through the steps from Setting and finally we were able to cancel it. Totally rip off.

Ad seemed like something else. I saw an ad for this game that made it seem like it would be a fun grammar game. So I downloaded it, but it turns out it’s geared more towards teaching people English, which I don’t need. I never found the grammar game I wanted, and in order to play any more than the first game, you must pay $9.99! False advertising, so I deleted it immediately.

Fun to use But..... So I really like this app... But it could be 1000x better. So why am I giving it 5 stars? Let’s say you drive a Audi, it’s a great car and fun to drive but so much improvements could be made such as the stereo, horsepower, etc. It might not be a Lamborghini but you’d still rate it as 5 stars because even though it could get a lot better it still does it’s job extremely well. So here’s the thing. To me the reason I got this app is simple: memory. The way the app is rn is fine, you can memorize idioms and all. But the problem is that it could be sooo much more effective if it just used a few basic principles of memory. For example, ideas such as the forgetting curve etc. (there is much more but I won’t bore you😄). The developers should know these principles and apply them to the app so that we all get the best experience possible from it and learn efficiently. Thanks for reading, David. 🙏

Lady in red. I’ve been using the app for a long time, and I can definitely say that it helped me a lot. As I’m preparing to pass my TOEFL and need to enrich my vocabulary in a short period of time, the app appeared to be super helpful. I love that I can repeat idioms. I’ve been using lots of apps before, including the vocabulary builder, but it did not help. This app is different, and this it the first app I’m planning to buy a subscription to study more intense. Idioms. Very disappointing to find out that if you don’t have the paid version, it just keeps repeating the same lesson over and over. Confused.... I totally did not understand the point of what I was doing....😳. I get that I was learning idioms but why not just memorize the idiom....I felt like I was supposed to be learning English....Is this what I was supposed to be learning???? I want to write it higher if I get a better understanding of what I’m supposed to be doing...

it will be a great app if it has audio. I just started using this app. It is still a bit too early to give a review. One thing I notice right away is it doesn’t have audio to teach you how to say the phrase. I think it would be even a better app if it has audio and be able replay and at a slower speed if wish, especially for people who are learning English as 2nd language like me. Thank you!

Be Very Careful with this App!. The developers are very cagey. You will be charged $10 per week ongoing UNLESS you opt out of the automatic weekly charge that begins at some undisclosed point after the trial period begins. Unless you check your charge card statement online once a week you could be bleeding money. As far as the app itself I rate it as just okay.

Obviously made for people who don’t understand the English language. This app is obviously made for people who don’t already understand the English language and are trying to learn better. Overall a decently fun and engaging layout and UI but I certainly don’t think the app is worth $10 every month.

Buyer beware. I would never get an app from Basenji again. Confusing to unsubscribe! You can’t just delete the app! $10 per week, and you might not notice until you get your monthly statement! A page that leads you to subscribe has X’s as the background, so it’s hard to know which X to close the window. Very manipulative. Too bad an educational app is run this way.

Dishonest app. I downloaded the app and I didn't like it. So I went to unsubscribe straight away. Shady rip off - do not trial!!!. I like to test apps for usefulness, this company is purposefully deceitful by running a 3 day trial instead of the standard one week and then charging you $13/week! Outrageous for what it offers and clearly a trap to charge as many people as possible for the first week before they cancel by having an usually short trial period and outrageous weekly subscription price. Their goal is clearly to get your one week charge, at a high price, and not to satisfy a consumer with a useful product. I’m for capitalism but I don’t appreciate this model and it’s no way to build a loyal base. Reviews must be fake. Do not purchase!

No oil painting. Are you really showing adds for the premium users? Such a shame. And the process of picking phrases word by word is terrible- you saw a word at one place and then it decided to bounce to a different one.
