Eh… not all that great. I will give it to this app that the images themselves are gorgeous. But does it look like me? Ha! Not really. In 55 photos maybe 4-5? I have glasses. They kept taking my glasses off!!! In every photo I uploaded I’m wearing my glasses. Some photos are an obvious “we put your head on someone else’s body” which was weird. Some of the cosmic and fantasy or anime filters just are making up pretty photos cause let me tell you it’s not even close to what I look like. Especially when it removes my glasses. It helped when on my second time I just took 10 photos of me right in this moment from different angles. I got more that looked like me but man do they hate my glasses. Forget uploading selfies from over time cause that makes it worse for getting any that look like you. And some that did look like me were this really weird simple layer added to my original photo, that I could do in any social media app, so not really worth it. Kinda regret spending the money on this. Only giving it 2 stars because the images themselves are usually pretty cool. Just not accurate by any means.

It’s never as good as the first time. I thought how cool this would be uploaded my pictures and purchased the 50 AI generated avatars for $3.99. I liked it so much I wanted to get my late mothers photos uploaded and see what AI would create for me.( My Mom didn’t like taking pictures even though she was absolutely beautiful) I just wanted more pictures of my Mom to help deal/heal. Anyhow, I paid $7.99 this time for 50 and honestly a little disappointed but none the less at least I had some other pictures of her. Then today I decided I’d try me again and purchased another 50 @ $7.99 . What a absolute rip off! I uploaded another 20 different photos completely different from the first set and super bummed I waisted my money. Honestly I’m embellishing when I say possibly 5-7 of these “AI Generated” pictures resembled me or were even worth saving. The rest are garbage just like this app!

Good app but terribly implemented. The app itself has potential to be really good. The editing options are great , but there is a lot of room for improvement. For instance, if I want to look for a photo in another album other than my “recents”, I have to wait a very long time to load my albums since it very inefficiently loads them. I have hundreds of thousands of photos and it seems like it loads them in some arbitrary manner and populates the albums as it loads EVERY photo in them. So I can’t open an album until it loads all photos inside the album. Then the albums are sorted in some arbitrary way and not alphabetical order, which makes finding a specific album very burdensome since I have to scan the whole list to find it . If I navigate away from the app before it finishes loading the albums then I have to start the process again. Also, when editing photos if I accidentally click on the “reset” button smack in the middle up top (next to undo!) it will erase ALL my updates and there’s no way of getting them back. Also editing the background area of photos does not save correctly, so if I miss parts of it I have to go and mark the background area all over again. The app concept is good, but def not worth the $50 a year

Overall neat app but poorly created photos. The idea behind creating a fantasy/anime avatar of yourself is really neat but when I paid to get my avatar pictures a lot of them were of really poor quality. I first paid for the 50 pictures then the 100 picture packages so spent a total of $10 for both packages and realized that on 75% of my pictures my eyes are either cross eyed, one is bigger than the other, or the placement of my pupil and iris are way disproportionate to my eye and face. Also on a lot of the generated pictures my hands are deformed, I’m missing fingers on my hands, or my arm is backwards and my elbow is facing forward rather than backward like a normal human’s elbow is lol. Also on a lot of the pictures my face is stretched to make me look fat and I am far from fat! I’m a 5’6” 132 lb woman who is fairly thin. I wish I could upload the pictures I’m referring to because they’re just god awful and look ridiculous.

Ai avatars. I downloaded the app to try out the ai avatar thing going around. It didn’t let me use the app for the free version so I had to pay the full annual cost of the app which I wasn’t intending to do, I did two rounds of the 100 avatars and honestly you guys have a lot of work to fix on this app before you are charging anyone. Pretty much every single picture curated is completely ridiculous and looks deformed.. to the extent where I have three arms and one coming out of my armpit, my face is swiveled and twisted.. it’s just disappointing when you are paying for something and there is nothing to tweak or adjust to fix the errors (which are seemingly very big errors.) I wouldn’t waste my money on this yet until they have managed to fix the tweaks and support with the app. Love the idea of this truly as it will inspire a lot in the real world I feel, however launch a test and see what you need to fix before asking customers to pay and also don’t constantly change the costs day to day. Hopefully you guys can fix this so it’s more pleasurable to use and not a just a bunch of deformed avatars

Inconsistent. I purchased three packs in total, plus a week subscription. I was quite satisfied with the first two pack results! One for my 3yr old son and one for me. The final pack bought was for my wife, whom I had convinced after showing me and our sons results. Upon getting the results for my wife we were both HIGHLY DISSATISFIED AND DISAPPOINTED! Out of 50 total pictures, 5 of them were recognizable! We tried to chalk it up to the AI’s rendition of the pictures given but a good majority of the pictures are a completely different person! It’s not even close! I’ve sent an email out and am waiting patiently for a response. I’m not asking for a refund just a free 50 pack so my wife can try again. I read through the policy and understand that inaccuracies can occur due to a user error or what not but I want to re stress that my wife took the most time and effort to take and upload the best pictures out of all of us. Thank you for the consideration. Will update the rating once I get a reply back.

Bait and switch? Yes but not exactly. The app is free to download, nice, but youre asked to Sub for $40 a month… skip. okay free trial, i dont wanna have to remember to cancel… no x button in sight… wait i hit back and it closed, sweet, actual free use! Pay wall for the AI art… the whole point of the ap.. wait, every feature you would wanna try out is behind the paywall… so this is a normal mid quality photo and video editor unless you pay. just say that then. its free to download to commit people to the process and ask for money when youre almost there. With the usual, ‘free trial, just add credit card’ trap. . Honestly, spineless strategy, i hate this company already. Theres plenty of other AI generating companies that have actual free trials, no cards needed, and focus only on the AI and not video and photo editing, AND they dont try to trick you into spending money. W/o the sketchy bait and switch nature of the app, the actual functions are okay. So they earned the one star at-least.

Loving it!!!. I recently downloaded this app with modest expectations for its free version, anticipating that I would need to shell out a significant amount of money just to access basic filter functions. However, to my surprise, "Everything" in this app is not only free but also incredibly user-friendly. You don't need to be a photography expert to navigate it; I myself am an airline pilot with limited photography experience, and I was able to effortlessly enhance my pictures. Voilà! This app does precisely what I needed, sparing me the complexity of more intricate applications like Photoshop, ACDSee, or Pixelmator. I'm enamored with this app; it's a breeze to use and simplifies the editing process.

Whitewashing pictures. So I was interested in this app and I am very impressed with the pictures that I received. However for one one of the categories, only two of the pictures looked like me. I am a black woman but I’m not sure if this is a glitch or not but most of the pictures in the fantasy category I was basically whitewashed almost making me a completely different person , and the pictures that actually looked like me I almost looked crazy in them. I wanted to give the app at least 3 stars but I can’t excuse the whitewashing. I understand that it is AI but you would think they make it so the app can identify skin tone and create pictures with that in mind. I am most likely going to cancel my free trial and delete the app after saving my photos. I wish I could get my money back from the packs I bought though.

Not as expected.. Hahahahaha some images looked incomplete or not really correct. Mostly disappointed. Most of the avatars appear way off in my opinion. There are NO images I would use for avatars. Some images have distorted eyes and look like mistakes. I’d like to try again with maybe better selfies to see of that makes a difference. Maybe you have to start out with “alread pre-touched up” or your best selfies in order to get the best images. It feels kinda “racist”?! I’m not chinese but it makes me look REALLY chinese like it assumes I am Chinese because of my eyes LOL! I’m ugly so expected to get touched up, but maybe I’m too ugly LOL. You pay to subscribe, but still have to pay to get images, albeit at a “discounted” 50% off price. I think I’ll have to try Facetune I was thinking… you should have the ability to let someone select their “accurate” most similar in likeness(or desireable in likeness) so you can re-run the process(do another iteration of the images) and create better ones based in that feedback.

Charged me $32 immediately for year subscription when I attempted to activate 7 day free trial. Beware if you get this app and try to activate the “7 day free trial” that it will most likely still charge you $32 for a year subscription and it shouldn’t do that and personally I also don’t like that you still have to pay for the avatars you generate even after you already have a subscription or whatever as I think instead that should be factored into the price of the subscriptions as that makes sense and makes you all come across as money hungry. So although maybe this app might do okay at making ai art or profile pictures, the payment and free trial option is flawed and really needs to be fixed or this app needs to just be took down as now I’m over here having to try to get refunded for something I didn’t actually intend to pay for and basically for nothing anyway considering the extra charge for the produced avatars…

I truly want to love this app but..... I want nothing more than to fully love this app because it honestly is one of the best free photos editing apps in the App Store. But there is ONE major flaw that I just can’t stand and is a constant source of annoyance for myself and I’m sure many others.... To whom it may concern in application development, Why in the world are users only allowed to replace or edit the background in only the pictures that the “face detecting” technology actually detects a face...? This feature only accurately works 60% of the time (and that is being generous) & it doesn’t really make sense that users can’t change or replace the background in pictures that don’t have a person in close proximity front and center facing the camera. I have active Poshmark, Mercari & EBay Sellers accounts & it would be a blessing to be able to use the superior background replacement & alteration ability featured in this app on my merchandise photos instead of having to constantly set up new and aesthetically pleasing backgrounds every other photoshoot.

Never got images back. The app collects payment very well. 5 stars there. Too bad I never got images back after paying and uploading. App said it would notify me, but nothing. Even the 20 min progress circle is gone! Time to hope Apple refund service is also a 5-star kind of experience! Update: Apple has refunded the purchase. At the same time, the developer suggested trying the app again and oddly, the avatars do show now. I did use the private relay to sign up in-app. Not sure if that was the issue. Since I hadn’t looked at the app in a couple of days, I am not sure when they became available but confident they were not available in the 2 hourish after I ordered. Now, I feel bad for getting the refund, but the delay did cause me to believe that something went wrong!

Glitchy. I love this app and have had it for over a year. The only problem is that I’ve had to uninstall and install the app several times throughout my use so it’ll work since it won’t open up. I then lose all my files each and every time I do that since it’s the only way it’ll open up again. The new video editor I’ve tried to use as well. The app shuts off and I lose my edits during the video and have to restart the app. Very annoying!!!!! Need to fix the glitches and random shut off. Other than that, it’s great! *update response The update don’t work as I did that throughout the year. The only way is to uninstall the app and reinstall which causes me to lose all my data and edited pictures in the app.

Too expensive for quality of images. I bought two packs of 100 avatars and out of that, only about 20 looked something like me. Only one is recognizable as me at first glance and even that one is a little off. Most of them look nothing like me. It seems like they get faces from anywhere and throw them in the mix. They changed my race in some and a couple had a man’s face on a woman’s body…not my face or my body. This app would be better if all the images were actually me. Especially since i had to pay for it. Why would i want a bunch of images of random people? They do warn you ahead of purchasing, that magic avatars may generate artefacts, inaccuracies and defects in output images, so i guess they have covered themselves for this mess of a ripoff. Do better!! Update: Thanks for the generic response that seems to be the same for majority of complaints. How bout lower the price. You can control that.

Apparently only blue and green eyes are beautiful. My first gripe is that every single image has my lovely brown eyes turned blue or green. As a result, each image automatically looks less like me than it should and has to be modified by me if I want an avatar that actually resembles me for something. The ability to make eye, skin, and hair color changes in the app would be a neat addition. Or to select flexibility level on these things in advance… The more times you do it, the less the avatars look like you. Maybe if you switch to all new selfies it would be better, but it seems the AI finds the best material to work with the first time around and everything else after that is like making copies of a copy. It just seems to get worse and worse.

Seems like a scam. Initially, it sounds like something amazing. But right from the start it is difficult to use with very limited directions. For example, subscribers are asked to submit 10-20 photos. You get examples of good photos and unacceptable photos. A major direction that is missing is that all the photos must be of the same person. So if you submit photos of three different people, the AI will take features from all three, mix them up and then you will get a totally “new” person. Thus, the results were so disappointing. I actually looked far worse than the photos I submitted. The results are divided into categories. One category looked like cartoons, not even real people. But the biggest scam of all was when you are ready to submit your photos, you are asked to choose how many avatars you want AT AN ADDITIONAL COST!!! So every time you want to create new avatars, you have to pay an additional fee, on top of your initial subscription fee. I was very disappointed and canceled a few days before my free trial expired. Total waste.

Not original. The thing I do really like is how you are able to adjust features/settings just specifically on the face, or foreground, or background, without applying the effect to all. This is something that you could do in other apps, but it wouldn’t be as quick and convenient because you would typically have to first do the shadows and highlights and then overlay them onto the original picture. However, a big problem I have is that it doesn’t let you adjust from what it automatically finds to be the face, foreground or background, so you aren’t able to perfect where the new background or effects will go. You can get around this by going into another app like Photoshop and overlaying edits, but that gets rid of, to an extent, convenience of this app. But then again, the things that you can’t even fix is that it often times won’t recognize a face so then you can’t do any of the face options and it won’t let you select your face manually either. Also, the filters are very generic. So again to sum it up, I like the face, foreground and background option but the options in general are very limited, don’t always work, and nothing too unique. Update: I change my rating from a 2 to a three because I see that it is primarily for selfies and so I used it on a selfie and it worked better like it was the first time that I was able to make it detect a face, but it still didn’t detect it perfectly so I really wish there was the option to adjust what it automatically detects.

Beware. The app states that it’s a free trial for 7 days. After that membership options are monthly, yearly or one time fee forever. During my trial, there was no way to select the option for membership. It wasn’t until today, 2 weeks later I was finally able to figure out I was charged for a FULL YEAR and there is no way to upgrade to the one time membership. I tried to cancel all together and learned it was too late I was locked in until next year, 2021. I really enjoyed the app, but this tainted my opinion, as it is very shady. It’s sad to have a great product, and it be overshadowed by this. I recommend the app developer become more transparent in their membership enrollment so customers would know the only option is one year. They should allow members to select the membership they choose upfront so when the free trial ends that they are enrolled in what plan they want.

Subscription. I don’t usually leave reviews, but I paid for the avatars and AI photos, awesome, beautiful, insane. Loved that, but that’s the ONLY thing I paid for. I never wanted to subscribe, all I did was pay the $7.99 for the photos. Now I’m getting billed for a $35 year plan and there’s literally no option to cancel the subscription. I’ve looked up how to cancel it, can’t find anything helpful. I’ve gone through the App Store, subscriptions- manage subscriptions and it just shows me the plan I apparently subscribed to. No option to cancel, usually there’s an option to cancel. I know this because I’m a frequent free trail-er. I’ve gone through my settings, I’ve gone through the settings on the app and it just opens up the same page. Please help. Life is unfortunate right now and I can’t have my last $40 being taken away unexpectedly.

Very hit-or-miss and pricing scheme is out of control. I had a reasonable experience with avatars in late ‘22, paid $6 for 220 4k avatars (using the free subscription trial), of which about 30-50 could be considered decent-to-excellent. But coming back to it today, I was charged $16 for a 200 pack, the quality of the avatars i got is abysmal (there are about 3 that are good), so many avatars look absolutely nothing like the person whose photos I uploaded despite a good range of poses and facial expressions. Some of the avatar packs are clearly under-trained and will map the person to face shapes, features or even ethnicities that must have been overly represented in the training set for those packs. To make matters worse, despite the very high price for the avatars, 4k resolution on the few good avatars is gated behind a subscription, which is predatory and nonsensical. What a shame, I will stop recommending this app to friends, it’s too clear that it’s just trying to make a quick buck while the trend lasts.

Slightly satisfied mostly disappointed. I downloaded the app after seeing a lot of friends posting awesome AI creations and wanting to give it a try for myself. For me I paid for 100 photos, which gave me 10 variations in 10 different styles. Followed all the instructions I was given, and understood the AI program isn’t perfect that there might be some artifacts or wonky looking images… Out of 100 photos 5 of them are decent, I have fingers that look grotesque, eyes that are colored incorrectly, or one eye is larger than the other or drooping, faces that are deformed or dismembered, my head either cut off or completely missing in photos. I mean some of these creations could have and would have been awesome if these issues didn’t occur. Just sad to see other people having success and I’m left with so many useless photos, it would be nice if your paying that money if you can have a revision done, where you can have a certain select photos corrected or redone. Like out of 100 photos at least offer to correct 10 of them for free. Otherwise I don’t think you should be charged for something at the stage it’s currently at. I’d attempt to fix them myself but most of these are just far to gone to do anything with. If you do try this app just be prepared for 85% of your photos to be unusable.

Cool BUT….. This app is pretty awesome. But, it doesn’t let you save the images in 4K unless you subscribe to the app. That is pretty sketchy since I already paid a premium to generate the images. It only sneaks in that disclaimer when you get to download the images. I love the images and don’t love being deceived into spending more and more money. The cost should be built in or at least presented up front. Also, not as revolutionary as everyone thinks. Many apps (such as Viola) have been turning regular photos into different styles of artistic interpretations for a couple years at this point. However, this is definitely the next level. I am happy with my photos and don’t regret the experience. However the way that they bill doesn’t feel good at all and that is why they lose a star in my review. 👨🏼‍🎤

Eh. Some gems, mostly just rocks.. Firstly, I want to say the Magic AI feature can make some gorgeous pictures. However, a LOT of them looked nothing like me and/or were distorted. The first round I did to 200 pack and submitted around 18 pictures of myself at different angles as requested. I was so disappointed in how many of them were distorted or flat out didn’t resemble me in any way. I’m am a brown skinned Black woman and a portion of these charters were White/Asian, particularly in the Fantasy category. I redid the process again, the 100 pack this time, selecting only 13 pictures with similar poses. I had a much better result however still some sprinklings of distortion and White/Asian women. Also, this app renders teeth strangely. It gave me a lot of snaggles and crowding when my teeth are straight with a few small gaps. So, that was another disappointment. However there are some pictures I really loved so I guess it was worth spending $15 in the trial. Hopefully once the full membership kicks in you don’t have to pay per pack but, I’ll never know because I don’t $50 a year, especially with the fickle nature of the AI feature.

This is one of the worst AI apps I have used. I have played around with a few apps. First, this one really plays with you on how much money they can get from you, and they are more expensive than others by a LOT. Then the avatars that I received (biggest package purchased to give fair chance), none of them resembled me at all. Now, I know there’s going to be obvious changes and differences. But these literally looked like entirely different people. There would be four avatars of obviously one person and then four another. It was pretty obvious that the only thing it took in was that I was a white Caucasian woman…maybe. But it was extremely obvious it was rotating through a standard group of clips they use. Again, never had a single shot that I thought I could even show anyone because nothing was even passable to be used as me or resembling me. So, I hope you take the money I gave you and work on your programming! What you seem to want to put out would be awesome if it worked…

Please give credit. I use this app to help give me ideas for my own character designs and concepts! I’ve seen a few images that seem to have logos or signatures on them that I’ve generated! I would strongly urge you to please give credit to the source/sources your Ai is pulling from, as well as disclose what these images can and cannot be used for as I do not wish to steal from other artists being an artist myself. Sure one could say it’s common knowledge not to assume but I still would like to know who the artist of the original IS. Also, please allow people to upload one to two images rather than 10-20. I usually do not have multiple images to use and usually only want the ai to focus on ONE. The Ai annoyingly focuses on one or two particular images that you upload and will give you about 50 results that are almost identical which can be very annoying! Lastly, the male character option needs work. I just used it for one of my characters and almost all of the anime generated characters were female.

Do not waste your money on this!. Definitely had FOMO after seeing all of my friends posting their super cool AI portraits, so I purchased the top tier version and went to upload my photos; however, the app clearly had issues uploading as no progress had been made past the recommendation uploading time. I tried restarting the app, reinstalling the app, etc. but then the app wouldn’t allow me to even choose photos to upload - saying I had reached my limit. How can I reach a limit when none of my photos were uploaded? I tried a few times with this issue and decided to just go through the channels of requesting a refund through Apple. I didn’t want to be bothered by their support team when their app clearly has glitches and issues. They have no problem accepting your $16 payment, but the rest of the app is trash. And I can’t believe I was dumb enough to pay for $16 worth of AI avatar photos that I’m not even sure would have come out nice. Apple refunded. Deleting this app. Update for developers: thanks for reach out, but your app is glitchy. I was uploading each time with magic avatars. And maybe if this seems to be a serious inquiry with many people, you might want to make your app more user friendlier.

Not ok. This app is fun until you realize there is something seriously wrong when it does people with darker skin tones. Uploaded myself got a lot of awesome pictures… I’m Caucasian female with a mix of Native American and Asian…. then uploaded my Mexican guy friend’s pictures and my black best friends pictures into it. With my Mexican friend his pictures looked almost identical to the ones I uploaded with maybe a slight difference in the shirt… that I was slightly annoyed with… it was when I did my best friend who is black… I was the extremely disgusted and disturbed with the pictures it produced and my friend was extremely offended by some of the pictures she saw it made when I sent them to her and took screen shots… I had heavily debated about even sending them but decided she needed to see… out of the 50 batch on 5 we’re ok… the one I was shocked the most by was the one that put her in a Muslim hijab looking outfit and face covering… it was supposed to be anime and this popping up made absolutely no sense!!! She is a atheist and not religious at all so had nothing like this on for the AI to mimick… it was extremely offensive. The other pictures were not much better.

Want to love this app, but disappointed. First off, it only allows you to select a minimum of 10 photos! Why is there a photo minimum? Never encountered a photo editing app like that. Makes no sense! Second off, the photo limits are ridiculous! It says it doesn’t allow photo shoot photos, but also says no less than 10 photos, must be same person, variety backgrounds encouraged, variety of head angles encouraged, variety of face expressions encouraged, and no other people in the photos. Then that’s basically a single photo shoot setting. Make it make sense! Each time I have selected 10 photos of me, different settings, no other people, variety of poses, different background environments, etc. and I would still get that “some of my photos didn’t qualify for the limits. Please select another 10” Seriously! I see many people post their digital art photos edited on here on FB and IG and they looked so cool. I was looking forward to making one of my own photos, but it looks like instead I’ll have to cancel the subscription and delete the app right on the first day I downloaded it. So disappointed! Seriously, get rid of those unnecessary and useless photo limits AND THEN things will be better for everyone!

Used Lensa for several years. I have used Lensa to add & fade backgrounds (& to get avatars) for several years now and have promoted it on my very large Facebook iPhone photography group. Lensa started freezing when I am saving photos that I have worked on and I have to restart my phone. So frustrating! Also, the backgrounds were previously movable & could be sized to better go with the subject. Now the backgrounds are all fixed which is very limiting when trying to create just the right blend. I have started using You Cam Perfect more often. The HD photo fix & the blur tool which presents several adjustable presets. There are also some beautiful free Avatars (with a paid subscription), lots of frames (some with animation) and COLLAGES which I use a lot.

Cautiously optimistic!!. Update: As of 6/28 after new versions released by the developer were installed, the app is back to opening and functioning like a champ! I will happily remove my previous comments if things stay like this, I do love using Lensa! Thank you for the quick feedback to my review, it was appreciated. Previous review: Tried opening app through the App Store as requested. Now just crashes and closes after short wait but still will not load at all. Have loved this app for several years but in recent months it just is a black screen and won’t load. I paid for the annual subscription which is pricey. When the app is functional, I always feel the cost ends up being worth it. When it’s not working for such long periods of time, it’s getting harder to justify.

Avatars are great— for young and male faces. I loved the magic avatars the app produced for myself (30f), my partner (40m), and my father (72m), but for my mother (72f) and my grandmother (96f), they were awful. I thought the cosmic ones would look especially cool with older, powerful female faces, but the app smoothed them so much they didn’t even look like younger versions of themselves, but like completely different people. It didn’t do that for my dad even though he his older. It’s a shame app developers feel that older female faces would need so much editing in the algorithm the AI uses. I had better luck selecting “other” as the gender for my mom and grandma, but I’m disappointed the female styles weren’t properly available for them. I was using it for my own art inspiration anyways, so I guess I’ll have to try to put together the desired looks myself. Again, the other avatars are great. It’s just not good for older women.

I was looking forward to this but no. So, my friend did this and her’s turned out fine shockingly, so I went for it. Big mistake, I paid 3.99 and mine was like horror show. One photo the eye is missing, on another the right side of my Face is melted off, another I thought was okay (A scenery photo and I’m standing on a hill) but then I zoomed in and the face is just all messed up, the left side on the bottom is melting to left side so it sticks out, and the right eye is squinting. I tried to get my money back by filling out through apple for a refund and guess what? You can’t! Their app doesn’t even show up for a refund. How sketchy? I wish I could upload the photos just so everyone can see, I know 3.99 is cheap but it feels like a scam, I basically flushed my money and got no refund on the horror photos. Highly disappointed. I just deleted the app. This looked so cool though, definitely had high hopes. So I got a response from them “we warn users about this risk before creating avatars.” So why charge? You guys just scam people.

Waste of money.. I subscribed which activated a “free” trial. I then uploaded 20 pictures of myself and I made sure to follow the requests of the types of photos the app needed to process my avatars. The “free trial” requires you pay for each bundle of images so I ordered a pack of 100 images and a pack of 50 images which costed around $10. I only kept 2 that even remotely resembled me. A large amount of the images had my eyes messed up to where you could see the template of where my eyes should have been in the image. The majority of them didn’t even look like me at all. I emailed them and let them know of my results and requested a credit or something to try again. They emailed back telling me that they can’t refund or credit and to try again(pay) for different results and to make sure to send the correct types of pictures which I had done to begin with. Complete waste of money.

Best of its kind but not cheap. I use an old freebie app called wondercam that honestly beat most of the cheesy selfie paid apps available. Unfortunately it stopped working on newer iphones. After downloading tons of cheesy selfie touchup apps I ran across Lensa. Holy cow this app has superior quality effects! Best selfie app I’ve tried! It’s easy to adjust and turn down some of the effects. It’s not overly complicated to use. I don’t like it when all effects are so souped up it looks obvious and fake. Also most selfie apps have bad quality effects. Lensa magicmode and effects are excellent. Lensa lets me adjust perfectly. Even with the effects souped up it looks professional. No cheesy blurring or smears. I also love that I can go in settings and make this open in camera mode! Now I can use Lensa as my camera too! It would be cool in future versions to have an option to apply magic correction after you take a photo or a default setting of effects. Then after the picture is taken it apply’s the effects automatically. Adjust from there or even reset if you want. Lastly as a guy thank you for making a gender neutral app icon lol. No cheesy flowery pink camera icon etc The only downside to this app is cost. It requires a subscription, but for me, the app is good enough it’s worth the price. Granted it’s expensive for many people. An app of this calibre requires good programming. These developers need to eat too.

Confused on why you need to pay every time. I saw a friend posted some pictures that look pretty cool too I want to try it out I figured I would try the five dollar one and it turned out OK even though a lot of the pictures did not look like me so I went ahead and bought the 1999 subscription because it said for the year and it described it as a limited even though it said that it was a discount. I then go back to use it again after I purchase the discount I guess and it’s still charging me five dollars for the same exact middle selection and I am confused on why there is not a way to just pay for the app one time a larger fee and be able to use it over and over again for at least a year. If there is a way please let me know and I will change this review otherwise I think it’s pretty silly I got charged 1999 and I am paying the same price I was before.

Loads of privacy concerns. The images generated were mostly just rough reworks of the examples uploaded to the server, plus the common usage of stolen work to “train” these AI systems in the first place. Tried to reach out to their privacy team to go ahead and have my data removed as described in the TOS - but just got an automated response sending me to their FAQ and never heard from them again. Nothing about what this app produces is worth the trade offs here. **There was a fun and passive aggressive response in which the developer prattled on for a bit about how AI doesn’t do exactly what it does by using some of the most tortured semantic games I’ve seen in a while, but aside from that it’s still a terrible parasitic program built of the work of other people and apparently that’s something the developers have in common with it. I do appreciate the idea that “we basically warned you there was a chance the thing you paid for might turn out to look like absolute garbage. That’s your oops.”

Perfectly amazing. I recently started using the Lensa app for photo editing and I am extremely impressed with its capabilities. The app offers a wide range of editing tools, including options for adjusting lighting, color, and sharpness. The filters are also very impressive and allow for easy one-tap editing. The app is very user-friendly and easy to navigate, making it accessible for users of all skill levels. Additionally, the app has a built-in camera feature that allows you to take and edit photos directly within the app. Overall, Lensa is a fantastic photo editing app that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to enhance their photos.

Cool, but doesn’t really look like me.. I purchased the 100 “magic avatar” pack and found about 13 photos I wanted to used and just sent it through. The results were a little disappointing. I think only 6 truly looked even somewhat like me. So I figured maybe it was user error and that picked the wrong photos to use or not enough so I tried again, purchased another 100 “magic avatar” pack and picked the full 20 they suggest of better photos, that showed my face clearly and from all different kinds of angles. Yet, that attempt yielded worse results somehow. It looked like they took a lot of stock photos and just merged them with mine and it took my defining features away and therefore took MY face away. So, out of 200 “magic avatar” photos, only 18 bear a resemblance to me. Attempting to get a refund because ultimately, did not get what I purchased.

Not worth it at the current price point. I’m much more reluctant to use it now that the price went from 4 dollars to 8 dollars. Especially if you don’t really know what kind of images you’re going to receive. I paid for a batch of images when it was still 4 dollars and half of them were just pictures of deformed versions of me not the cool stuff you see people posting online. What they should do is let you see the pictures that the AI creates first but with maybe a watermark all over the image so you can’t just get a clear screenshot with your phone and once you’re satisfied with your results then you can purchase it which will then take away the watermark. That seems like a much more presentable way to encourage people to use the app then just making them guess if images will come out nicely. Also did I say they jacked up the price from 4 to 8 dollars to use the AI once an influx of people started to use the app?

If I could give 0 stars I would. Don’t use the magic avatar thing. I tried it twice and when I say that only 1 in 200 pictures looked like me I am not exaggerating. Almost all of them looked deformed! It says there can be some irregularities or artifacts, but it doesn’t mention that most will come out this way. I used differ pictures each time and still only one came out looking like me. There were more pictures of just bodies with no head than there were that looked like me. I know I have always had an ethnically ambiguous look but 1 out of 200 is ridiculous. I asked for a refund and their answer is “we warned you that irregularities can happen” but for almost all to not even look like a normal human without a deformed face is unacceptable. At this point I’m going to post all the trolls this generated on all my social media as a warning not to waist your money.

Crashing & Locking Up. I’ve been using this app for about 2 years and love it until recently. After some updates not all the backgrounds worked, they went on top of your picture or didn’t operate at all (they seem to be working now, but I’ve gotten used to switching to another app for my background). As of lately the app will close when I’m editing photos and I have to reopen it. I will get a few more photos edited and it just closes again…very frustrating. I have an IP 8 and shut it down, but didn’t have any affect on the app, it still closes periodically. It also will lock the screen sometimes when saving a picture, but not only the screen, your entire phone. One day it took me like 30mins to be able to shut my phone down, couldn’t get off the saving screen that wasn’t working. I deleted the app and reinstalled. I’m a few weeks in and it locked the screen saving a picture but I was able to get out and went to apps and saw it has an update so updated and it still closes on its own. Love the app, but it gets frustrating with these few glitches, but I do continue to use. Just want to let the creator now the problems I’m having. Recommend this app.

So I’m a little frustrated with this app at the moment. So I find the photos for the magic AI beautiful. I’ve already spent more money than I’d like to admit just doing it for myself, my friends and family because of how much I love how the photos turn out, but I just went to check on my newest set I’ve purchased and the screen just shows a loading circle with after 5 minutes, nothing loaded. I saw my app needed to be updated so I figured that it would be just that but I was wrong. It’s still showing the loading circle. I’ve spent money each time for each photo set, and not only can I not access the current one the app was working on, but I can’t even access the other 5 I’ve paid for? I feel it’s valid to be upset considering this app charges $8 per 200 photos each time you want to upload even when you have the free trial enabled which is like $38 a year. It’s very pricy, and the problem is I wouldn’t even mind paying that amount if I could get unlimited uploads for no additional charge but the fact that you have to pay each time and as of right now, I can’t even access any of the photos I’ve paid for? You guys gotta figure something out because I kinda feel like I’m getting robbed here. I work hard for my money and I don’t really appreciate having it wasted on something I can’t even access.

UGHHH. Do NOT download this app if you are looking for an AI avatar maker. I downloaded this app and was so excited because there were such cool AI avatars advertised. As you can probably guess, I skipped right to the AI avatar maker. I spent HALF AN HOUR looking for the right selfies because it kept saying mine didn’t work and stuff! I kept reminding myself that it was going to be worth it in the end once I get an AI avatar. I was wrong. It had me pick a style and everything and then it said “importing images” and “creating avatars” AND THEN AT THE VERY LAST SECOND IT TOLD ME I NEEDED TO PAY! I gave you 3 stars only because I know the developers worked hard on this app but I don’t understand why they make us pay so much just for a picture. I get that the developers need money, but I feel like there is another way. Thx for reading! ❤️

Not worth the hype - has as lot of kinks. I current activated the free tried and then started alerting my photos according to the guidelines only to realize it wanted me to pay additional money at the end. I figured whatever $8 is fine so I can make some cool AI photos…oh boy was I wrong. First, off I selected the 200 pack and none literally none of the photos worked out. Some of them have elements that could look like me but the majority of them have eyes that are all wrong random hands/arms that are messed up, swirled or distorted faces. Second, when I saw this I thought oh I must have selected some bad photos let me go back and reselect new ones only to find out they wanted to charge me again to redo the process. This app is a waste of money. The technology has a lot of kinks in it and there is zero transperce in regards to what you are paying for. I just wish there was some way for me to go back and fix the photos I already have then it would be worth the money I spent.

No product delivered and refund denied. I purchased the $7.99 magic avatar but just received a white screen and no images. After waiting 8 minutes, I closed the app and came back. I tried purchasing again, thinking I’d get the standard “you’ve already purchased this item, would you like to get it again for free” message. Unfortunately it charged me again. And the same thing happened - a white screen, frozen app, and no images, even after I waited even longer this time to let it try to go through. I disputed the charge with Apple and was denied a refund - so I wrote a lengthy explanation and tried again, and was denied a second time saying my “dispute didn’t meet the conditions of a refund.” I’m on an iPhone 13 Pro, version 16.1.2, so there’s nothing wrong on my phone’s end. This was definitely an issue with the app crashing. I’m pretty mad that I’m out $16 for nothing.

Not bad…but there are some issues. I have been trying Lensa out and definitely have liked some of the permutations that the program has come up with, however I do feel there is room for improvement & I also ran into an issue concerning pictures. Improvements: Being able to choose what themes you want to see for the permutations would be nice. Not having this option kind of seems limiting and not ideal. I feel this would also make the picture packages worthwhile. Program Issues: I had 2 pictures I tried to submit at least 2-3 times as is and edited as well. My face is clear, it meets the general criteria given (I even cropped the 2 pictures a little to make sure the face was more focused to test the issue out and troubleshoot). The pictures are Senior photos taken from when I was 18. I was not considered a “child” but I have always looked younger than most people peg me. I don’t know if my youthful face is the issue (despite the make-up in my pictures making me appear more mature)or something else. I feel Lensa should really look into this in the event anyone else is just as disappointed as I was they couldn’t submit some favorite photos for potential permutations.

Did not receive what I paid for, poor customer service.. I followed all the steps to the letter, paid for the avatars, never received them. Upon emailing the Lensa team to have this issue corrected, they take 3-4 days to reply (four emails back and forth over nine days) only to regurgitate the FAQ at me. “If you want a refund, you need to process it through Apple and then you can try again.” I have essentially had money stolen by this app and am expected to ask Apple for my money back (which I understand as Lensa cannot process the refund) and then once again ask Lensa to provide a service they claim to provide if I want the avatars I have already paid for. Between the app clearly having bugs that prevent it from working correctly, the poor level of communication from the Lensa team, the amount of time I’ve spent trying to fix this, and the amount of time it will take for Apple to process my refund, I can’t imagine why I would request Lensa’s services again.

Fun, but like most AI, can’t handle melanated skin. If you are White, or light skinned, play away. Its a lot of fun. If you are melanated….it’s probably not worth the money. Unsurprisingly, it works way less well the more melanated you are. I did the 50 picture pack, twice. Maybe 8-10 actually looked like me each time. The rest were approximations at best. The first time I did 15 pictures as reference and it really got my face shape right, the second time I did the full 20 pictures and it really nailed my nose shape. Never figured out my eyes with precision, possibly because of my glasses, though it really nailed those. Never got my lips. Handled Black hair styles surprisingly well, and switched it up a lot, which I tend to do with my hair, so had lots of options there. If you are White or light skinned, highly recommend. 10/10. If you are melanated…4/10. But was still kinda fun. If you have $ to waste you’ll get a handful of fun avatars.

Horrible app that make you look distorted and creepy. I am so upset right now because I’ve paid twice, first time for the 50 ai generated photos, and they were beyond bad (I followed instructions to a T) so I paid for the second tier, the 100 photos and really scrutinized over what I uploaded so they would turn out better- and it was even worse. I have arms and things growing out of places they shouldn’t be, and one eye will be fine but the other not at all- it’s like it was on purpose so that you keep paying until you get something. It feels like a complete scam! Then there are photos that seem ok- but I am lighter skinned and have different colored eyes, and my face and body look nothing like me…. I feel like this is a bit racist not going to lie! And guess what- you don’t get your money back? Well this is not ok. I don’t care- it seems as though the app is made to make darker skinned people feel bad about themselves.

So Cute. The filters are looking so cute! You can edit your pics to make them perfect! I have been looking for an app that I can edit my pics and I have finally found it!! The best app I swear to god!

Stupidly expensive. Use openai dall-e or midjourney instead. Tried two different avatar runs and wasn’t impressed (for the money). A subscription PLUS an avatar fee is ridiculous; I’ve listened to AI podcasts where the developers suggest it only costs around 1c to generate a render.

Cool but. It’s a cool concept but it’s not great. I tried with ten photos and got a few out of 50 that didn’t look like I’d become a pixie super model. I thought if I gave it more photos it might work out what I looked like, paid for 100 avatar set and only 4 look remotely like me, even though I gave it 20 photos.

Absolutely terrible. The photos it generated gave me melting eyes, I look like I’ve had a stroke in half of them with eyes half way down my face and pupils that are like blobs. It also turned me into an elderly lady in many of them. One had rubbish the in background like it was a photo someone had taken in their dirty apartment. One made me half bald but not in a fun way. Shocking results. None of them look like me and none of them are remotely usable. I wouldn’t show anyone any of them. I’m so mad I paid for this rubbish.

Perfect blend of simplicity & complexity.. Really enjoying this app! Specifically how simple / easy the developers have made otherwise difficult and complex edits. I agree with an earlier review wholeheartedly. Download it, try it and before you have a whine about a function / feature that doesn’t appear to be what you wanted, delve a little deeper before leaving half baked comments here. Really good stuff here team, keep up the great work!

OMGGG LOVE 💕💕. READ THIS >>> THIS APP IS REALLY GOOD!! I'm so glad you don't have to pay to use the app, although there's locked features you have to pay but you can do most things and it's so wonderful!! I especially love how you can make your photos in cartoon! 💗I LOVE LOVE LOVE this app I will be using everyday!! I would DEFINITELY recommend if you like editing or seeing photos in different style. TO THE DEVELOPERS: Thank you so much for making this app!! It's really amazing and I'm so happy now I have an app to change my photos with!! Keep doing what your doing cause I don't think I'll ever be deleting this app!! 💗

Great till recent update. App usually works pretty well, however the recent update causes the app to crash before fully loading up. I’m running latest Apple iOS, with an iPhone 13 pro. Can update review if they get around to fixing it.

Most spastic results. I saw some pretty good covers of my friends and thought I’d give it a try. After paying 2.99aud for the 50pack, they gave me 49 images of the mozt spastic results I’ve ever seen, firstly none of the ‘faces’ even looked like me, it’s as if they took it off another girl. And I had a few that completely made me look distorted, like a mongoloid.

No way to try Ai avatar creator before you buy. I wanted to try out the Ai avatar creator (I don’t need another photo editor app) but even with a subscription you have to pay extra for the avatar creation on top? I understand that it is resource heavy to make but double charging is just odd. There are plenty more Ai programs out there that let you try first.

Thank you for bringing the camera back.. Thank you for bringing the camera back. This app is my go too as it’s great for editing each face and save. Now the camera option is back it again my go to app. Thank you. 🙏🥳

Annual subscription problems. Purchased an annual unlimited option for this app. Worked well for the first month. Good photo editing options. But then 1 months after I started I received notification that I can only download 3 photos per day and it no longer works as it should. My subscription settings indicate that the next billing charge is nov next year. Not impressed, otherwise a good app.

Phone restore. Guys. I’m disappointed all my photo edits and AI images I purchased have disappeared after I restored the app to a new device. I hope you can help. The app would not allow me to actually send the message I typed :(

Review. Not a bad app but not enough backgrounds to chose from and it would be good to be able to change background on photos you are no taking in the app.

Why have free trial?. I understand that these apps take a lot of time to create but you offer a free trial, great! Except you can’t do anything in the free trial unless you pay. Why give a free trial period if it means nothing? Now I’m about to unsubscribe and delete the app. I would have potential lid for the year subscription if the app was good, but now we’ll never know.

Didn’t upload and didn’t get my money back. I paid for magic avatars and didn’t get the photos

Good AI photos, dodgy subscription. The AI magic portraits are amazing! However they claim on the purchase page for them that if you have a subscription, you get 50% off. So, I paid for the subscription as I planned to do more and you don’t get any discount. Super scammy and requested a refund :/

The app is not great. The app is very expensive to get a few great pictures and the rest don’t even look a little like you and all have retardant hands and one I have 3 hands lol so don’t buy the whole thing it’s a waste of money and all is the same picture I did it 3 times and one was 50 ,100 and last one was 200 and the are the same pictures different back ground and colours . I wish I could get my money back. such a bad app

Very poor!. I downloaded the app for the free trial and (incorrectly) assumed the face and background buttons only continued working in the paid version. I stupidly paid for the app and nothing changed...only the adjust button works. I can’t use the face or background buttons at all! Even uninstalling the app and restoring it doesn’t fix the problem. What a total waste of money 😡

MR. Well it’s awesome technology, the world is going to the Tup day by day, thank you very much, developer, and thank you very much to all developers, websites, for keeping approvals aware life, globally, days and nights, thank you very much, for the big hard work you given us. Thank you

Predatory photo upload system. They say they will delete your photos as soon as the ai generates your avatars. Problem is after I upload my photos surprise surprise they ask me to pay for the avatars (even with the subscription!). So now if I want my photos deleted, I’ll either have to pay up, or manually email them asking to delete my photos. Quite surprising actually, I thought the Apple review process would block this kind of thing.

What’s wrong with some people?!. I don’t understand that people purchase an app and because they don’t know how to use it give it one star and negative reviews! I understand how much work goes into developing an app and to see reviews based on their ability to use an app is disappointing. I know for a fact that they thought you had to purchase the trial just to use it, I have been using it for a few weeks now absolutely free and am now considering purchasing the subscription. Well done guys and keep up the good work. Just a side note maybe you would want to make it a little easier for the novice users to use it as a free version then give them the option to subscribe. Cheers

not happy. i’m not happy with the app and emailed you make sure i wasn’t charged after the free period. but the response was “you will automatically be charged after the free period” this is not the question I asked, you have not listened to your customer. edit: after you responded i emailed the address you mentioned straight away but no reply. i have also emailed the email on your privacy policy and no reply. not a great way to entice customers when you can’t reply to an email

(SOLVED)Can’t figure out how to cancel the free trial. EDIT: the free trial expires on its own and doesn’t require you to unsubscribe before it’s ended, and Customer service got back to me a few days later with a link after I had already figured it out. The app would be cool if it didn’t bug out. OG REVIEW(I downloaded the app and agreed to a free trial and thought cool, it’s easy to cancel subscriptions through Apple settings. After the app bugged out and shut down every time I used it I decided it wasn’t worth it. I went to find the app under subscriptions and Lo and behold- no cancel subscription option. An email to Apple seems to be my only option, or maybe I need to sign up and make an account just to cancel the free trial. It’s a lot of hassle for someone wanting to try something out. It’s going to take a longer time cancelling the free trial that it has testing out the app. Im sure it’s great for many people, but this user navigation experience is 1 star. If I find necessary info that is accessible I’ll delete this review and adjust based on customer service if I receive any.)

Free trial needs to be more clear. I was first introduced to this app on the social medias as the avatars (which is what we’re all interested in) look really cool. On the App Store there is no explanation that the magic avatars aren’t included in the free trial which Is really unfortunate. It feels deliberate which has made me less inclined to purchase. I understand the expenses involved and for a company to survive they need to profit, totally understandable, however! I don’t know how well the Avatars will come out and the fact it’s a all or nothing situation since you have to pay every time and from what I gather, you can’t edit these once produced. You would need to pay again and again. This completely puts me off the app and will probably delete the app as I can’t use the feature I was looking for without paying for it. Seems to defeat the purpose of the free trial when you it’s blatantly not. Your others features you have doesn’t warrant a subscription as other apps do it it better for cheaper or actually free. It would make a lot more sense to allow the free trial to have a one time magic avatars option and If you loved it then you would pay for additional. I’m sure people would me much more accepting of that like myself. I’m sure this app would be awesome, I’m just not willing to risk it just in case I don’t like it. I’m not made of money, especially the way the worlds going right now. A bit of a shame really.

Great app. This is a good one! Even the free version gives you a lot of options even if it is only 3 photos per day I do t mind cos I’m not always in it! But I love it!

No free trial. App makes you commit to payment before use. I think the developer response is a PR flop. It would better to allow genuinely free use for the 30 days without skimming a credit card details. If the product is good, you have a customer. Everyone is sick and tired of disingenuous offers from App developers, and don't get me started about subscriptions. Photoshop 2.0 was free to copy and distribute for years and there was no such thing as a credit card payment for “free trial”. Run a mile!!!

ONLY OK... has a long way to go. Def not made with Mac or anyone using a Mac in mind. You can't scroll through the filters, after the first 2, you have to click..on..the..edge - on a filter you can't see, and then click...on...the...edge to the next one. Want to go back to the beginning once you reached the end? Click..on..the..edge... over and over and over... Also - photos.. on your Mac.. the big deal of having a Mac. not accessible? Why??? Also, no way in the menu I can see to contact them for help / suggestions. AI Face detection is hit and miss at best. And that's a shame because when the face detection works, the sliders are nice and easy... this has the potential to be a real winner, but overall rating is: Disappointed - this is NOT worth a $30 dollar a year subscription. Buyer beware!

The coolest feature you have to pay for each time. My gripe is I wish they would make it clearer that the magic avatars you have to pay for everytime you generate them. The subscription only allows you to down load the avatars you have already paid for in 4K. The music library for videos is very limited and you can’t do a search for a particular genre. Instagram reels does a better job. The AI generated art is very good though but I wish you could edit the results to remove some of the artefacts. Better still rate the results so it learns to make what you like.

Love this app / need assistance. This app is great! Unfortunately i haven't been able to use it lately as it will not open on my phone and i cannot reinstall it. Someone help?

Awful. I saw some really cool looking images online and was excited to give it a try. I purchased a 50 pack and only had 1 usable image. So I paid $5 for 1 image that is average at best and I could’ve done myself with a free filter. All of the faces were warped, some were downright weird and glitched. Would not recommend. Just use graphic filters or go somewhere else.

4/5. The only thing is that I think the free version should have more space and be able to have more photos

Good app but a bit misleading. The features are great, but the highlight of the app is the Magic Avatars that the AI generates, however, I specifically subscribed to make more use of the Magic Avatars, however, it’s a separate individual charge for each time you use the Magic Avatars feature despite the subscription, you’re charged ontop of your subscription, and when I was subscribing there was nothing that was said that the magic Avatars is not covered in subscription. It’s a good app, but it’s a shame, things could’ve been made clearer with what is covered in the subscription.

Charged for a “free trial”. I downloaded the app and decided to try the “7 day free trial”. I still got charged $10 Aud even though it stated it was a FREE trial. On top of that I then had to pay to try out the avatar creator… Not happy to have money taken without my permission and then have to pay on top of that after it was advertised as “free”.

No way to add new photoset for magic avatars. The AI is incredible and the avatars it generated are amazing, but there doesn’t seem to be any way to generate new avatars based on a DIFFERENT set of 10-20 photos if you think that the photos you chose originally were not the best for this purpose. Currently it’s telling me the magic avatar service is unavailable anyway, so I’m unable to really play around with anything at the moment. Editing individual photos is all I can do now, but that’s something that hundreds of other apps can do. I’m probably going to cancel my subscription before it kicks in unless I can generate new avatars from a different photo set.

Should be able to create avatars with all photos. I don’t like how I can only have avatars made with just face pictures I want to use all my pictures to create awesome avatars not just ones that use my face

Don’t download. I downloaded this and used the trial. Having paid for an AI set. Money was tight so I canceled the trial before it expired. I only found out that the cancellation obviously didn’t go through and the money was taken from my account. It came at a really awful time, which is not the fault of the creators but the onus is on them for the fact the cancellation that didn’t succeed. The app should be able to be canceled via iOS “manage subscriptions“ my iPhone even confirmed it with me, soo I was shocked to see the debit.

Yearly subscription only goes for less than 6 months. The tech works great but for the hefty price I expected to get the license I paid for. I bought a “yearly” subscription in December of last year and it just stopped working for no reason today. It’s been less than 6 months of access to the app. No way to context them directly to fix it. It’s a shame because the tech is fantastic for photos and decent for video (could be better).

Great App but since update it lags & image goes blank. I love, love, love this app. Makes all my images look so good (I pay the monthly subscription). I did recently update it & since then some images won’t make any edits & then when you get out & look at the feed of your images it doesn’t show you that image anymore… it’s happening to every 5th image. I didn’t have any issues before the update, now regretting it. Please fix this

Charged for the free trial. Selected the free trial period was charged $10 straight away. Then wanted me to pay even more money to use the magic avatar option. I already paid $10 for a free trial. Why am I paying again? I feel like it’s not clear what you’re actually paying for only options that were available with the “$10 free trial” is edit your photos. should’ve been made clear that the magic avatar would be an extra cost.

Frustrating - difficult. ‘You don’t understand how people giv a 1 star review when they don’t know how to use it?’ Well part of reviewing an app is its ability to be able to navigate through its features and use it for its intended use. I wasn’t able to achieve anything other than an additional purchase of avatars I couldn’t even use. All show-no go!

Expensive. Not only do you have to pay for a subscription, but you then have to pay for each avatar you create. So you’re not getting any real trial or test, if you want to do anything you need to pay a $70 subscription fee (which is apparently 50% off) and then another $5 per couple of avatars.

Crashes. I love this app but I can’t understand why it crashes after a while. Quite annoying actually

App won’t work properly. I have had the app for a month or so. At first it worked great. Now i get a message saying face and background editing isn’t available because the face is not detectable. I have tried several photos, even photos i had previously had successfully edited with that feature. I have sent feedback more than once and the issue still isn’t rectified. I have paid for a yearly subscription so i am very disappointed.

Do not subscribe. This app is currently NOT working. NUMEROUS ISSUES Usually service staff just ask you to reinstall app. Failing that they ask you to film the occurrence, only to get back and tell you to reinstall the app. Doesn’t open photos in its software. Currently photo ho white or black and no image can be seen. Staff don’t overly spread to be in a hurry to fix this app.

Charging money while in trial.. Normally I wouldn’t leave negative or positive review but the app itself is expensive. $50 something for subscription plus you pay extra for services in the app. Makes no sense. Trial period is to try products without any additional cost so if customer is happy, they can continue using it. Makes no sense whatsoever.

Disappointing rip off. I tried to get a refund but haven’t received it. I signed up for the trial but was unable to cancel it before being charged for the full subscription - a reminder would have been appreciated before charging me $70AUD right before Xmas. The only feature I don’t already have in other apps is the AI portrait generator. Turns out you still have to pay for this after you pay for the full app, download at your own risk!

Magic avatars page not loading. I’m a bit frustrated with this app not working properly. The first time I opened up the app it worked fine, I even purchased the $10 package for the magic avatars which I was very impressed with, so I went to purchase another set the next day (today), it charged me but the image uploading screen was taking way too long, so I exited out and now the magic avatar screen won’t load at all. I have attempted to troubleshoot this myself by deleting and reinstalling the app with no success. I cannot access the previous pack I payed for or the new pack. 😞 I feel like I have just wasted $20, I just really wanted it to work because the app is amazing when it works properly.

Monthly subscription. It tells you that can purchase monthly subscription however when you go along further it only has yearly subscription. Why is it like this or am I doing something wrong. I’m very careful as to what I sign up too. I’ve been looking for ages for a good app. Up until now they all rubbish. I’m interested in this one but I don’t want to be tricked into paying for 12months when at present I’m only looking to purchase 1 month to see how I go tiding it whether I like it enough to continue to make use of it for a whol year because when you look at it like that it can be a little on the expensive side.

What a good find!. Honestly love this app! It popped up on Instagram ads and I thought it’s probably a scam, but it’s not it’s honestly one of the best editing apps I own. Seriously check it out

Awesome !. This is an awesome app and easy to navigate but I would wish it did multiple people eg families, siblings, partners etc. Definitely think that would make a big profit if it had this feature

Don’t be fooled. FREE TRIAL? Where? How? By step no 3 you have to pay no matter what to continue! This gross false publicity.

Scam. They finish stealing 10 of your selfies BEFORE demanding payment for the avatar feature.

Cool but…. You pay $50 for a yearly subscription, but still have to pay for your photos to be turned AI… with the subscription you get half off the packages that must be purchased to see the effects.

Not worth it. Don’t spend $10 on 90 bad photos with wonky eyes and backwards hands just to get maybe 10 semi decent ones. They don’t even let you download them in full resolution if you don’t have a $50 subscription, regardless of the fact that you’ve paid $10 for them. They don’t even tell you that until you’ve spent your money and waited 20 minutes to receive your photos. Waste of time and money, scam of an app.

Not impressed. Scam artists.. I downloaded the app and tried to use. Said I would get a free trial. Used it for 5 minutes and decided it wasn’t for me so I canceled the the subscription within 10 minutes and deleted the app. Next day a payment for a year subscription is withdrawn. Not impressed.

Don’t like it. Should be easier and cheaper

Merci et je t’aime. Jjjj

Garbage!!!. None of the recent pictures look like me Eyes are weird, in some I look Asian and other I look Indian I’m neither!!! I have a European background!!! The eyes look weird and some pictures are cut off Don’t waste your money!

Not good anymore!. Last three purchases, no avatars. Just taking money and stops! Fix it, please!

Buggy. Uninstalled it twice. I love the results of this app - when I could get it to work.

Worst app ever. Generated absolutely terrible images. Do not buy this app unless you want to look like a smudged drawing. Requesting a refund

Paid for year unlimited…lies. Paid for the entire year unlimited however, that is not the case you still have to pay for the avatars regular price. I wish I’d known that I wouldn’t have bothered spending the money for a photo editor that any app can do what a waste of money don’t buy this.

Stole my money. I chose the free trial option and they automatically charged me for a whole year! I want my money back this is fraud!

Awesome. Awesome

Avatar Ne fonctionne plus meme après update. Plus capable de faire de nouveaux avatar. Ca reste la a rien faire. Moche.

Not great. I ised this app to create 102 images of my gf, and only 6 or 7 looked kind of like her, don’t waste your money on this

Free trial not really. I tried. It doesn’t look like me at all. My eyes aren’t brown AND I had to pay in the end with no option to redo to see a better resemblance.

This app is just a scam. All the features are in-app purchased (in addition or even if you paid for the pro version). No AI-related functions in the app

Don’t expect what they say. Created with AI and results are laughable. Do not waste your money. Got over 100 images - not a single good one.

Worst avatar app I’ve ever tried. This app is horrible. None of the generated images look anything like me. I have tried other apps that work great and are free. For this app I tried the free trial but when trying to generate photos, you must pay for a package. I paid for the package because I thought it would be fun, but no, these are horrible. I might as well have taken five dollars and thrown it in the trash. if you want the avatars to look like the person, then use the photos provided and at least take one of the features and put it on the avatar. Worst app I’ve ever tried in this category.

Leads you Along. Free trial is a lie, won’t let you actually try anything without first paying.

Love!. The photos this app generated for me gave me a fascinating different perspective of myself. I’d rather have the pics I chose from here than spend thousands on a private photo shoot. It’s like looking at myself in past lives during long ago generations!

This app comes off as free. This app comes off as free but wants you to pay for it now that they have enough people using it. It was free when it was popular.

SCAM!!! STAY AWAY. So my wife found that there was a subscription to this. She canceled it the day before it was due to renew. They still pulled the funds from the card. Stay away from it

Paid but can't create avatars. The app is broken. keeps telling me to purchase an upgraded plan when I already purchased one I've spent so much money and can't create anything...

Subscription. I subscribed with 7 days trial and you withdraw CAD$56 immediately. Give my money back. This is not appropriate

DON’T SIGN UP FOR THE “FREE” TRIAL. I signed up for a free trial but was charged for the annual subscription. I’ve submitted a refund request through Apple.. avoid this app at all costs 👎

Ripped off. You guys just took my money out of my account illegally I did not agree a years payment I was just trying out the app

Love the app. My app expires on Dec 6 and I really wish I could get another set of prints before then. But the app now doesn’t ask for payment and goes directly into making the avatars. I input my pictures and then it’s a forever load and never ends up doing anything. Please help!

Love this app. Thank you for providing such a nice app to edit the photos of love ones. 😘

Ur updates ruined the app. Used to be better - won’t be the-purchasing at end of subscription.

Scam.... So I go on and right away it wanted me to pay. See, if you are going to get someone to pay just to use the app then make them pay to download and don’t mislead people into thinking this app is free. Also I know you are going to say that it gives you 5 free pictures and all that BS, but I downloaded it thinking it was free and then as I go to use my 5 free ones it tries to go through with a purchase. I do not recommend at all.

No Place to Cancel Subscription so you're stuck. Cannot cancel so you're forced to pay, plus all the other AI problems and issues stealing from artists. Just don't do it.

Missing critical icons. New update is missing critical icons for Skin and Look, etc…. When will this be fixed? I paid for this app and it doesn’t work for what I need it to… what’s the plan and timeline here?

Garbage app. This app never works with a strong connection and constantly tells me that my account doesn’t have a subscription after I purchased it. I wouldn’t recommend using this unless they make it 100% free.

What Free trial? Scam!. Guys, please google the words (free trial) and understand the definition. Please revisit your business model. Deleted the app strait away!!!

The Best. My favourite app ap

doesn't work. tried with three different images - perhaps PNG files are not acdeptable - if so the user needs to be informed - waste of time so far

Hidden costs!. Don’t buy this. I selected the 7 day trial, decided to cancel it and I was immediately billed almost 60 dollars for the year subscription! Thank goodness apple refunded but don’t trust the 7 day trial thing because that is NOT what you think and you will be billed.

Very disappointed!. I downloaded the app tried it and paid for the yearly subscription. It stopped working and I contacted app support! After two weeks of emails no fixes and I can’t recommend this app. I feel cheated.

Magic Avatars not working. I paid for the package and the page is stuck after uploading selfies.

Not as great as I hoped & YOU CAN PAY 1/2 PRICE but they’ll charge you full. I was pretty excited about an app with the option to change backgrounds, but once I uploaded the app, and started adding photos, just about every photo I added, there’s a pop up that says that I won’t be able to adjust face or backround at all because it doesn’t detect a face in the photo? The photos I chose were ones where the entire face was visible and clear! And when I finally found one it could detect, I tried changing backround and it also changed part of the body into backround? ALSO, upon uploading the app and choosing the 7 day free trial, I decided to go into my subscriptions to check that I wasn’t charged, and it had automatically checked off to charge me $39.99 after the 7 days, but there were about 4 other payment options, one of which is a discounted annual fee of only $19.99 SOOOOOO if you like this app enough to pay the annual fee, pay half price!

Rip off/scam. This app is absolute garbage. Just plain garbage. First it charges you a bare minimum of $4.99 to even try and then it charges you $10 to use the app for pics. Refund and uninstall.

Scam. There is no other word- during a global pandemic - you made this as sleazy as you could. Your probably hoarding toilet paper to resell at outrageous inflated profit.

Ripped off. I was charged $60 before the free subscription ended. No warning. Apple refuses to refund me. Do not even bother getting the free subscription if you don’t want to be charged. please refund my money and I will delete this review. I even bought two of the avatar packs. $6.49 or something for the first pack and then 12 bucks or something for the second pack offering more pictures. Out of all those pictures there was maybe just a handful that resembled my face ,on top of being charged the $60 subscription. shouldn’t these avatar packs be free considering this hefty amount? I feel completely taken advantage of.

Beaucoup trop cher. Avant pour 3.99$ vous aviez 50 photos. Maintenant vous devez payer un abonnement mensuel à 4.99$ + 7.99$ pour 50 photos. C’est complètement ridicule. Je ne peux pas me faire remboursé mon abonnement.

Fun!. Play to your heart’s content

Great, much better than a year ago. I tried again after last trying a year back. Much better now. But I wish you could do two people in one photo

Awful results. Bought the 102 ai photo pack and there wasn’t a single usable photo. Not one. It asks for 10-20 photos to upload, so did 20 really good photos and every photo result is either glitchy or all it did was place a background in…. Terrribly. Emailed the company for a refund and was denied. Don’t waste your time or money.

False advertising. Don’t say you have a “wide range of tools” when you only have the most basic editing tools that most apps already have. Frankly, I don’t understand why you don’t have the vibrance tool with saturation when vibrance is more skin tone focused, considering this is a selfie editing app. Saturation tends to be overkill and makes photos look cheap since it changes all the colors. Also, don’t claim to “delete all other editing apps” in your Instagram ad when you don’t even have the curves tool or split-toning, both of which make the difference in a more professional look. I understand your point is to make this “quick and on-the-go”, but those tools are easy to use as well. What you really meant is “intended for bimbos who have no knowledge of photography.” Thanks, and have a great day 😁.

Disappointed. I have seen so many great AI photos on social media so I decided to try the app. I purchased the first batch of 100 & majority of the photos were either distorted or looked like a completely different person & very few looked kind of similar to me. I thought I made a mistake so I tried again & bought the 50 pack. I purposely used no filter photos thinking that this might help them to make the avatars look like me. The second batch was even worse… wayyyyy more distorted photos with extra body parts in some photos. This app would be amazing if the Ai portion actually used your face or at least a majority of your features & didn’t waste your money by giving you photos where the face isn't even there. At this point, the AI feature is a waste of money.

2.0 is fabulous. My first rounds of avatars was good/very good, the main problem being wonky eyes and extra limbs on about 40% of them. I just tried again with 2.0 and almost every picture is amazing! I’ve found that my features don’t lend themselves to all styles. If I stick to the more realistic photographic ones vs the comic/animation ones, I get much better results. One exception being the Icon style, I love it - maybe it’s the black and white. Question for the developers: Are the 1.0 updated to address the issues with eyes, etc - or will they be in the future? I’d like to go back and try Fairy Princess and Cosmic again.

Price Keeps Increasing. The biggest downside is price. Every time I have “created avatars” the price has increased! They also make you pay each time you use that feature on top of already paying for your subscription… this makes no sense to me. So far, my first set of photos was the cheapest and the best so I might have to stop using this app. The photos are generally very beautiful though. There are things that are not supposed to be there every once in a while like strange eyes, noses, or hands, but that’s part of the beauty of AI in this stage of its development. If the price would not increase every single time I used it, I would really love this app.

Be Careful. When you first start it up, there is a request for you to sign up Avatars. Not familiar with Lensa terminology, I assumed it is part of the Lensa package and that I was paying for a year of Lensa. As it turns out, I paid for something that has nothing to do with Lensa (except for the parent company), for a service I have no need for. Please Prisma Labs, move the request for us to try Avatars until AFTER we open up and use the app we downloaded (Lensa) and until AFTER we have an opportunity to use it, BEFORE you introduce a separate product with no opportunity to try it. In other words, when I open Lensa for the first time, I expect to have a request for the Lensa subscription. And if you want us to purchase a different product, make that clear.

Having Issues Uploading Avatars. After looking to purchase 2nd pack after a good 1st purchase, the app wont show the loading process for Pack #2. I tried purchasing twice and haven’t gotten my results. Instead of showing me my results, the screen gets stuck on the “getting started” page, and my Avatar never gets created after I hide that page. I’m not sure if the app is going to charge my bank account. If so, and I don’t get my results, I will call for a refund. I hope this reaches you, and that you can help me. Thanks! - Rev Koka

Don’t bother downloading if you don’t wanna pay. Don’t bother downloading if you don’t wanna pay. It offers you right away to do your avatar. You need to choose 20 pictures of you. After you spend a while finding those pictures it tells you that you have to pay. Various options of payments. You know what they say? To do AI costs money!! So you go back and choose one picture. The app asks you to choose 3. Max 3 pictures. After choosing you see the message “saving”. But nothing happens. After waiting for more than 5 minutes you see on top of the app a message “You’ll get 3 photos in 1 day”. But it is still reading “saving”. Hahahah. On the right you’ll see a button “Get More”. You cannot press it. Since that will happen tomorrow!! It is a scam!!

Una aplicación muy común y nada excepcional. It really disappointed me.. I downloaded it because it said to try it for free for a few days and even though I had deleted it, they charged me for a year. So, I said to myself since they charged it, I'll use it and now I want to try some options and they load it too. It is a scam and I see no difference that distinguishes it or makes it more special from other applications. In short, it's not worth it, I was disappointed that they charged me more than $40 for something very ordinary and nothing exceptional.

Just ok. A few of the AI photos were amazing but most were not. The eyes were distorted/uneven and misplaced in 75% of them and a lot of them looked nothing like me at all. If I hadn’t spent $50 on them I wouldn’t care but for that price tag they should be almost perfect. I saved 5 out of the 200 I purchased. That’s really bad. Beyond that the photo editor is really sub par compared to other photo editing apps. They have a lot of cool backgrounds but they are so overpowering that they completely change the photo rather than just improve it. It’s also very cumbersome to use. I would absolutely not buy this app again now that I’ve seen what it can do. It was fun for a second but otherwise pretty useless and extremely overpriced.

Ai “art” is theft. If you respect artists even the tiniest bit, don’t use this app. The Ai is trained by a database of work from human artists that was scraped from the internet, then has people pay to replicate the non-consenting artists work. Ai does not “learn from reference” like a human does. It does not have life experience and learned skill and it’s not filtered through the use of a hand and a tool and an artists own vision. Humans, though with some difficulty, can create art with no reference of other artists. Ai on the other hand is purely a parasite that feeds on the work of human artists and couldn’t exist without them. Yet still it has no permission to use this art nor does it give compensation. If companies weren’t using it for profit and making the real artists it depends on for existence go out of business, I agree that Ai could be a useful tool. But what Lensa is doing has already costed countless artists their income as people flock to soulless ai programs instead of a real person who has spent years perfecting their craft. Pay a real human being for a commission instead of a corporation. I guarantee it will be way better than anything this Ai can do.

Bad. The Avatars DO NOT look like me. Maybe it’s b/c of my skin color (I’m African American) to all my Avatars look like Lupita Nyongo. I would give 1 star but it looks cool just doesn’t look like me. 🤷🏾‍♀️ This is the response I received. Should have gave me a refund and said we will try to achieve better when developing AI’s for ‘People Of Color.’ When I posted this I received many comments from POC saying the same. “ Hello! We're sorry if you didn't like the processing results :( As we cannot fully control the work of AI, the final photos may contain inaccuracies, we warn users about this risk before creating avatars. Anyway, thanks for sharing your impression with us! We collect feedback from our users and try to improve the AI work 🤍"”

DREAM COME TRUE APP. I seen this app advertised to me. Which I must have in the past been looking for something like this. It’s $30 a year with a week trial or u can use it just for 1 pic a day for free. The $30 per year is so worth it and the quality of this app is fantastic. What I would love to suggest, if you guys can create a manual outline for face when it’s not detected or allow us to add a background to any picture even if there is no face in the pic for example if it’s a picture of a pet, or a picture of food, etc. If u add that this app will be perfect. Thank you so much to the developers of this 5 star deserving app 😊

The app is useless & you have to pay for the avatars. The app itself isn’t user friendly or high quality filters , it’s useless really. I prefer other photo apps. I only downloaded because of the avatar feature, but unfortunately you can’t design your own avatars, off a specific image, you have to pay for each pack of random avatars , and it’s not guaranteed that they will come out useable . I ordered 1 pack of 100 and could use 5 images then ordered a second pack of 200 and can’t use not one image, because my eyes are crossed eyed and they made me look white ( I’m African American) on a dozen of them. There is no way to get a refund or a redo either. So save your money get free trial then pay for avatars and cancel, cause this app does nothing amazing to your individual photos.

Magic avatar for pets is not worth it. I did magic avatar for myself which was okay, a few images looked like me and I enjoyed the themes/styles. Magic avatar for my dog was a waste of $7. I followed all of the rules for images, using 16 images with his muzzle and sometimes body in different angles with nobody else in the photo. I got 98 images of dogs that did not look like my dog whatsoever, different faces, different coat colors. And about 7 actually had a theme at all. The other 93 basically showed a different dog with a blurry colored background and zero parts of the image showed any aspect of a style or theme, nothing but different dogs against a murky color background with no other elements. Basically results like that deserve a refund.

Terrible. Not worth the money unless you want a laugh.. Although the variety is a nice tough the quality is laughable at best. Essentially what appears they do is just overlap your selfies to create new faces and what they don’t tell you (I didn’t read it anywhere at least) is that you’re better off with 10 great lighting solid composition selfies than you are 10-20 regular selfies. I got 100 photos… maybe 10 are decent. The results I got make me look like clay face from Batman and that dude from the goonies had a kid! What they should do is allow the rendering for free and change you to save/download the photos. They can watermark the originals or prevent screen shots from happening but instead take your money first. Do. Not. Recommend. Unless you want a laugh then go for it.

LENSA REVIEW. Overall I have really liked Lensa and the updates they have done with the Photos section. The blurring effect has gotten much better and more natural although cleaning up the photo and straggling hair strands and stuff on ground seemed to step back a little in that department. The separate VIDEOS edit section is a big thing for me… as I had way more options to edit video and the same options used for photos and videos Now that they are separated you cannot do much with videos… For Example: I was able to press the magic button for videos back in Feb. 2022 and it would automatically fix the face in video and edit it like would photo. It even cleared the subject’s face acne in video to where it looked way better. Fixed lighting and all. It was the only app that allowed me to do this. Please allow the magic button feature for the videos with it being in a separate section now. Would help and appreciate it greatly. And I am paying $20 a year for full access which I think is a great price.

I love the app but have questions.. To the developer: I have really enjoyed Lensa for its less obvious touch up capabilities. I plan to use this app forever. Today I was going through my many and varied Apple subscriptions and saw there were different price levels for weekly, monthly and annual subscriptions for the Lensa app. I’m currently paying $4.99/ month. I might upgrade a tier or two if it was clear what additional benefits might be had. Could you provide a link for clarification? I’ve done a bit of searching, but nothing I’ve unearthed was specific enough. Thanks.

Wasted money. Used the magic avatar feature on my girlfriend and myself. I didn't have as many photos per their guidelines to use for hers yet they turned out pretty nice. I used some for myself under the proper guidelines, clear photos etc. and a majority of my results came out completely indecipherable. I'm not talking about looking like a different person or anything, but pictures that don't have any face present at all. Was pretty disappointed by this after spending 16 dollars and of course trying to contact them permits only an automated response. The app can make some pretty cool art, I really like the concept of it, but a more responsive team and some form of accommodation for errors like these would truly be nice considering how much they charge you for it.

Clearly Over hyped. So I’ve liked prisma and paid for it in past And kinda knew about Lensa but since it’s exploded on social media I thought let’s try the avatars, $12 and I have 100 mostly useless photos that I can’t save in full resolution because I don’t have a subscription, go figure, why did I pay money then??… if this isn’t a sophisticated bait and switch what is? Of course shame on me for not doing my due diligence… anyways 2 stars are for having an app that’s designed well, else I’d have given 1. update: I changed the score to 3 because developers cared to respond to my review, that doesn’t change the fact though that 60+ images out of 100 are clearly unusable.

Good product. I used it just now and to my surprise I really liked it although it was the first time that i used this program found to be easy to find the option and as soon you select apply you can see the changes you can have the program adjusted for you or you select what you want and the click adjust button and magically see the changes that you wanted the program did it for you . I strongly e ithhhhhhhhhhrecommend to try it and see if you like it as i did. Have fun Abby loves it. Lov

Poor Customer Response. The problem with answering a customer issue with a canned response is that it can’t take into account that twist to the issue that doesn’t fit inside the box. Obviously, Lensa gets frequent complaints about the results of Magic Avatar. They warn in advance that certain aspects are beyond their control: such as artifacts, extra limbs and what not. But that wasn’t my issue. My issue had to do with smiling. In 17 out of 20 photos I uploaded, the subject was smiling brightly. That’s 85%. What Magic Avatar gave back were mostly expressionless, sullen, serious or otherwise not smiling results. I sent feedback to Lensa and got nothing but a canned response. Only about 20% came back smiling. Are even smiles beyond your control? What exactly can Lensa control about AI?

Excellent but... This was my favorite go to app until some of the features all of a sudden stopped working for me. I no longer can use the feature to change the size of your nose along with some other facial feature adjustments. It used to work fine, and then all of a sudden it just stopped working! I really wish they would fix this glitch or caveat because I never had an issue in the past and recently it just won’t work for any of my pictures. Tried it on several different images and people, and it just doesn’t work anymore!

Watch Your Dollars. I’ve subscribe to Prisma for about five years. It’s a great app for specific post effects of photographic images. I’ve now subscribed to Lensa, and I’m still exploring this app’s advantages —I’m paid up for the next two years. But, when it comes to spending even more on the ‘Avatar’ creation aspect of the platform, the results have been hit&miss. Mainly miss, in my opinion. It’s cost me more than a few dollars each time I’ve tried it, which I’ve done a dozen times, and I’m dissatisfied with 90% of the results. The 10% of the time that I was satisfied resulted in very cool, very dynamic images —but the overall cost, in addition to the subscription price, was not really viable enough to rely on the product with any regularity. Too bad.

Didn’t get any good options at all!!!. I do not like that they don’t let you see the images before you buy them! I did the basic one at first for $3.99 to see and I didn’t like not a single one of the 50 images they provided me with. So I had to redo it again but I chose different images and now it’s telling me I have to wait 900 minutes for it to finish the first time was only 30 minutes. I also have 1/3 of the amount of pictures the second time so idk why it’s going to take 14 hrs. But I canceled the subscription coz I’m not about to pay for some trash artwork.

Bittersweet. I really want to give this five stars and LOVE it but I’ve spent so much money at this point I’m annoyed that out of 50 or 100 I get 10 that are my race and likeness. I do not understand why they love slapping blue eyes a Black woman, lighten my skin and make my nose super narrow but it’s annoying. I understand there will be some distortions but 10 out of 10 avatars looks like the original avatar with no traces of my facial features at all. The others only 3-5 out of 10 are normal and not extremely distorted. I’ve seen some friends post theirs and it looks exactly like them while mine are questionable. I’ve sent close ups various angles and backgrounds 8 times now and the results are always the same 🤷🏾‍♀️

Glitchy and doesn’t work. Don’t waste your money. I downloaded this app cause all my friend were posting these amazing photos of fantasy versions of themselves that looked incredible so I wanted to try. Unfortunately you have to pay for the app subscription plus the magic avatar feature each time you want to generate avatars. I downloaded it and paid for the subscription and then for the pack of 50 AI generated photos and none of them looked like me. So I tired again and it charged me for another 50 pack but the app bugged out and wouldn’t upload my photos. So I closed the app and tied again and it charged me again to upload photos then froze again. So bummed I didn’t get the cool photos but even more bummed that they charged me a bunch of money for the app to just crash a glitch out. Just don’t even fall for it.

READ THE FINE PRINT! 5. USER CONTENT!. This is from Lensa’s own Terms of Use “You grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, nonexclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, fully-paid, transferable, sub-licensable license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, create derivative works of your User Content” Basically what that part is saying is that they(Lensa) can do whatever they want with whatever you make with this app and you can’t tell them through a Legal Court Order to Stop using your stuff without your permission or consent. And if they chose to sell your imagine for a profit, you won’t see a single dime from it. If you don’t want your face being sold to people or companies that you don’t support or don’t want them using your face. Then DON”T use this app. I’m uninstalling this app after writing this warning to people and this is also why I’m giving this review a 5 star rating just so that it doesn’t get buried under all of the filters or bots that read these things.

AI magic Avatars. The app is great but what I don’t find great is the fact that some of us are paying for subscriptions or for packages, then we follow the recommendations given and more then two or three photos come back blurry and warped. I paid for 100 Magic Avatar photos and 15 of those pictures came out really badly. When I reached out they simple sent a generic message back stating what’s on the app without any actual attempts to help their customers or replace the bad pictures with new ones. Rather they recommend you to spend more money to get new photos. Definitely not happy with the way they’re going about unsatisfactory results.

Paid for the monthly unlimited, but the 50% discount is not showing up. I am on the unlimited plan, yet when I do the magic avatars the discount is not showing up it’s still $15 for 200 images. Am I missing something? Help, did I sign up for the wrong subscription? ** update, I am on the monthly plan. The instructions were not specific about which subscription plan gives you the discount. Please be more clear. I immediately canceled the subscription 30 minutes after signing up yet. I’m still being charged please help I have spent hours on this. Also, I tried changing it to the annual, but it says I need to wait out the month before I do it. This is a complete nightmare. Please be clear in the future. On which subscriptions to do which

Intellectual property snakes. I hate that they hide what their real intentions are under a long laundry list of legalese. I don’t like the fact that this company hides its true intentions. I’m deleting the app immediately I don’t like the fact that they want to keep our biometrics for their own personal gain. For yourself, in their terms of use “By posting User Content publicly including, but not limited, to tagging Lensa or Company on social media (through direct mentioning or via a hashtag), you grant to the Company a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, revocable and transferable license to use that User Content, and namely reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works, publicly display and publicly perform or otherwise use that respective User Content or any of its part, for the purpose of promoting and advertising Lensa and the Company’s services (“marketing license”)”

Randomly Infuriating !!. generally some astounding results, even if my first batch gave 30% of the avatars Marty Feldman eyes...( pointing in two very different directions ). but not only is nothing about the free trial remotely free, but it took me a couple of batches to realize that the app would say how many it was loading and at the very final purchase point it would then be less. I just struggled for a half an hour with a perfectly suitable cropped portraits of my brother… Eight of which were continually rejected would be oddly phrased "Unqualified for the requirements" ?!? Some of the rejected were slightly less recognizable than those accepted, and when I finally gave up at 15 photos and began to process the last screen said it was loading only 10. I understand the results are going to be hit or miss, but the selection process and the wording of the prompts should not be as well.

Declined is performance. I loved this app when it first came out. Was actually the best hands down that I’d experienced so far and trust me I’ve tried many. But it has declined greatly. Every single photo I use to edit says it doesn’t detect a face which is ridiculous especially when I’ve even used some that were very clear with person facing straight forward and almost nothing except the face. I usually don’t bother reporting things but I likED the app so much I was hoping they would fix it but still nothing. Also the you have to pay for it now and I’m surly not going to pay for something that has failed to live up to their potential. Also the app cuts parts of your body off when you change the background feature with no option to edit or outline manually. Sure hated to see this app go….

No avatars delivered even after 10 days of purchase. 7 days trial is a joke & a scam. Nothing can be done using the app other than uploading your pictures and waiting for it for several weeks to generate the avatars. You are forced to make a purchase of their membership as you sit idle not knowing when and if your avatars will be delivered. They charge extra dollars ($6) on top of your membership charge to generate the avatars. They are not accountable on timely delivery. The support is another joke. They go in circles responding only after passing enough time. And they don’t address the issue. They intentionally lie saying avatars are done while they are not. They say it is done in another account but won’t say which account it is created or show proof of creation. With clever marketing. They are scamming the users. Beware! Stay away!

Wow….just… WOW. I am a Professional Photographer and I am always feeling like I just want more from other apps. They just can’t get the editing to pop and for it to be a quick process. This app is AWESOME! I love the auto feature, how everything is easy to see the adjustments and keep them or change them. It has a enough features to feel that I can control the whole photo but not so many that I am overwhelmed and it makes me not want to use it. And the background section is really dead on with removing the current background cleanly. I am blown away! I actually may pay for the unlimited editing of this app!

Mostly Great. I tried a batch of 50. Had about 5 really great ones, but too many were useless. There are about 6 that don’t even show my face (Magic Avatars), it’s just a dude in a cyber suit. You should be able to return those for new shots that actually show your identity, otherwise, you just have a few creations that could be anyone under a helmet. Ideally, it would render your 50 then let you pick and choose which creations to keep at a set cost per image. I’d be far more inclined to be a repeat customer under that kind of business model, whereas now you pay a flat fee for a random set of images that may be mostly unusable.

Not Worth the money. I downloaded this on a whim that I could edit my photos. I applied for the seven day free trial on which is current as I write this review, but then you have to pay to have the ‘AI’ edit your pictures and half the time they don’t look like you or have inconsistencies (which they do tell you about). However I don’t think users should have to pay for edited photos when they pay for the subscription or sign up for the seven day free trial. It just seems a waste of money to me. I gave three stars because some of the pictures I have received are actually really good and look like me in the way I hoped. Overall unless your willing to pay (which I don’t believe you get a refund either) then the app isn’t worth it.

Needs improvement. I’ve only had the app for a day and a half. I can say the avatar creator has its good points and some bad. Half of the packs I’ve purchased are not even close to what I look like, especially the fantasy version, which seems like a whole other ethnicity. My issue today is that the app is stuck uploading. It’s been showing 4 of 13 for over 5 hours now. Yes, it says to keep the app open but waiting over an hour means it’s an issue. Now I can’t even utilize the app since it’s stuck at the upload screen. It would be nice for a stop upload or restart, or an option. Also, a preview would be great. That way, people don’t feel like it’s a waste to purchase a pack and none of the avatars resembles you whatsoever…yes I’ve tried signing out and restarting my phone, and still nothing…..HELP!!!

Pure disappointment. So the app starts out wanting you to pay for the membership right from the rip but does offer a 7 day free trial. I signed up for the trial and it tells me to select up 10 styles. Then you upload up to 20 selfies. Upon doing this where you’re made to purchase your AI pics and the more styles you selected and the more selfies you uploaded the more this costs. You can’t see your pics without buying them. Imagine my utter surprise and disappointment when more than 90 of the 100 photos they generated were total trash. Either look not even similar to me or have defects in the images themselves making them distorted. Needless to say I’ve canceled my 7 day subscription and have now paid $6 for a bunch of trash that can be used. So incredibly disappointed.

Great BUT,…. Ooofah! About half of the avatars it created look like “who did it and ran” - way off! The ones that are good are in fact GOOD if not GREAT, but bad will give you the hooha’s! Say out of 200, maybe half are good or above. On a serious note and the reason for 3 stars - TWICE now, I’ve paid for 200 and NOTHING! No warning. Let the app go, it was open. Waited longer than suggested and NOTHING! So needless to say, if I want avatars I’ll go elsewhere which is a shame, I did like this app. As they say,…FOOL ME ONCE,..well you know the rest. I’d reconsider if I got a refund and if it was easy to do so, but we all know how THAT works. Live and learn. Fingers crossed it works for you, if you want to risk it.

AI Video Maker Crashes. Spent a little over an hour fine tuning a video I was making with the AI video maker for my son’s 2nd birthday coming up and upon trying to save, it never loaded past 97% (tried doing this three times, each time I set my phone down and waited about an hour for it to complete and it never did). I attempted to troubleshoot by going back to editing to remove some of the videos I uploaded in case the issue was due to the end result being too large of a file size or something, but while I was doing this, the app crashed and did not save any of the changes or fine-tuning edits I had spent so much time on. So upsetting, mostly sad that such a sweet video I was looking forward to sharing with family and friends was lost.

Questionable. Uploaded 20 photos and every time the app said I needed to add at least 10 more due to my photos not following the guidelines. I made sure to read all requirements and follow them yet it kept telling me I had to upload more pictures. Also when I tried to exit the app or swipe up to end task it would make my iPhone screen black out and a loading sign would appear that I couldn't exit out of. This also happened when the blackout screen went away - my iPhone would be locked and when swiped to unlock the blackout loading screen would reappear for a couple seconds and direct me back to locked screen. I never experienced an issue like this with any other app and honestly that made me not trust this app so I deleted it.

Overpriced for what it is. I was under the impression that the avatar when you provide your 10-20 selfies, after paying the $12 you’d be able to do more, but you have to pay every time. When I provided my selected 10, and waited 4 hours for my avatars to be ready; I look at the pictures and it looks like they took a whole different person and said “close enough”. I am a tan mexican Dominican with what many say “Asian looking” but really I don’t have Asian eyes and I’m definitely not Asian at all. The ai converted me to an Entirely different race. The avatars they created were beautiful, but they were all beautiful Asian women. Not me at all. Not even close. I want a redo to see a more accurate version of the avatars, but you have to pay again to do so. It’s disappointing really.

Free trial. This was cute, but I got a few pictures that were of men (I’m a female and they didn’t even look like me) and basic pictures th at didn’t look like me. Also I cannot figure out how to cancel this free trial. I just downloaded it today and intended on canceling right away but seems that this app is a trap and it won’t let you cancel. It’s not showing up in my Apple ID subscriptions and it is not showing up the the App Store to cancel either. I feel trapped. Already sent $16 on pictures and do not want this app anymore. I don’t do picture editing. I just wanted a few AI picture. I got them, now I’m done. I want out of this subscription. I will never use the app again for photo edit or anything. The only editing actually didn’t work at all for me on the two pictures I tried.

Best facial blend / cleaner ever! No bs. Legit. Seriously have downloaded editing apps by the tens test em and uninstalled and this one hasn’t failed even before I paid. It was so well I paid for the yearly unlimited. And the new updates are great. No over smoothing no over editing no over highlighting it doesn’t make you look like you edited unless you do back ground blur with is amazing!! And has 3 diff blur effect btw .. I’m picky af when it comes to photo editors and apps to keep on my phone this one will never be deleted! It’s beyond worth it. Specially if you don’t want all the craziness of photoshop super quick n simple 👍🏼‼️🙌🏼😍

Updates shortly after purchase make this app useless for me. I purchase this app because I was looking for an app with a good Cartoon filter/effect. Shortly after I purchased the app because I liked the results on a few images, the cartoon was moved to art styles and the results were not the same. If fact, the cartoon effect is now garbage. Additional Information Requested by Developer : The resulting images look like something out of a horror movie as opposed to the nice clean cartoon effect. Any facially imperfection or lighting/exposure issues are accentuated as opposed to softened. Edges are hard. I have tried to reduce the intensity of the effect, but I have to reduce so much that it basically looks like the original image. I’ve tried to edit the image manually before applying the effect and that does not help either.

Astounding. Cool app. Good customer support. Highly recommended. Thank you Lensa. The first time I used the app, it didn’t work. That would’ve been fine if it were free, but I paid $8 for the introductory package of avatars. So I was ticked. My experience with paid apps is that if it doesn’t work, you’re on your own. After a few days, I was shocked to find a detailed support response from the Lensa. They had fixed the issue and asked if I would give them another chance. So I reinstalled the app and followed their instructions. This time everything worked seamlessly. I could not be happier with the result.

Deceptive marketing practice: no real free trial. Updated review based on their ridiculous response- stating that your app requires complex AI features doesn’t make any difference that you are UNFAIRLY and DECEPTIVELY telling people your app is free but requiring them to PAY at the very end when they have uploaded photos and PII. hopefully regulators catch wind of your deception and you are subject to fines and penalties for the lack of transparency and deceptive marketing practices. This is not a free trial. You submit all your personal info, agree to Terms under the guise that it’s free per their advertising only to follow all The steps and be taken to the end for them To request a payment method!! Unfair, Deceptive and totally meant to trick the consumer. Don’t be fooled unless you’re ready to pay at the end of the process during the free trial!!!

LOVE this app!!!!!! Absolute FAVORITE!. I absolutely love this app for editing photos! The finishes are beautiful! I also like the new updates but... what I don’t like is that I can no longer choose multiple pictures at a time to bring into the Lensa app. Since the recent update it only lets me bring one photo at a time and if I have multiple pictures that’s a lot to go back & forth. Will this be fixed? I would have given this app a 5 star had that not been changed. Thanks! 😅 Update: from the developer!!!! The feature will return. 5 STARS!!!!! Love ya’ll!!!!

Disappointing for women. I was so excited to try this app after seeing everyone in my feed, posting beautiful avatars. I tried it once, and nearly all of mine were hyper sexualized, even full body nudes (some with and some without nipples???) despite me having posted only shoulder up photos. my face was also contorted in most of the pictures. I talked to several girl friends who used it and they all had the same experience, with us sharing our most embarrassing ones with eachother. All of my guy friends have these awesome avatars that look realistic and normal while mine are all weird fairies?? Not at all my vibe. I chose the 100 option twice using the female choice and the only ones that I liked were the ones that came out looking like paintings, and even half of those had extra limbs??? I tried it three times total, twice, choosing the female gender, and once choosing male just to see if it would have an effect. Spoiler alert, the male ones looked cool and normal. Wish I could get my money back. Or at least it would be cool if they would fix it and let anyone who chose female have a free re-do considering these are not free.

Meh…. My friend put pictures of me in his app and the pictures he got back were so much better. They look like me. I put my pictures into my app and paid $8 for the 50 pack and 90% don’t look like me and are weird. The other ones are “meh” at best. I’ve gotten better results from free apps. I sent in pictures straight on and different angles like it said to. Maybe my glasses confused it. In the Sketch group, the app made me Asian (I’m a blue eyed white chick), I gave me a lazy eye in a lot of pictures, it put my eyes too close together in some, the Oil Painting and Viking groups aged me 20 years and gave me wrinkles, the Statue pack returned a generic face that doesn’t look like me at all, my hair is black in all the Empire pictures (maybe everyone’s is?)… overall disappointing. Out of 50 pictures, I like 3 or 4.
