Terrible Apps - huge security concern - totally incompetent Customer Support !!!. Apps won’t allow you to delete your credit card information, so I added a card I am planning to cancel soon and opened a support case to delete my card I am keeping. Customer support came back and told me my account is retired. When I submitted screenshots proving that I actually was able to do 2 steps authentication and have 2 credit cards in their system they came back claiming that the newly added Credit Card is flagged as fraudulent and they cannot execute my request to delete the credit card I am trying to protect against such crappy apps as Wheels one is. Really scary:-( Stay away from this service!!!

Wheels Experiences. I have given wheels a fair shot I have had about 10 very terrible experiences in one day. First off some of the bikes did not work at all, so I was charged an activation fee for a vehicle that didn’t work, this happened more than once. Second off, I had great service and the app would bug out like crazy everytime I tried to end it so I would spend 5+ minutes restarting the app to try and end the ride. Third, the customer service did not make any attempt to help when contacted there was many excuses and long hold periods. Overall unreliable, shady, and poor quality aswell as service. As a person who uses many forms of public transport I recommend Lime, Link, or Spin but Wheels falls far below the standards of ride, app experience, and support.

KEEPS TAKING MY MONEY. So I recently started riding “Wheels” and for starters, they are pretty fun. Although, it keeps charging my card when I am using my friends card. I even tried locking my card so that it would stop charging but it still kept taking money out of my card. I also tried making a new account to use a different card, but the app still ends up taking money out of my own card instead of the other card that I associated with the new account! I can’t even change my card info because of how there are no settings! Once you open settings, there is just a blank white screen! This app needs so much improvement and needs to stop taking money out of my card.

👎👎👎Spend 19 minutes trying to end my ride. I Was ridding the bike for 7 minutes to get to my work and then spent 19 minutes trying to end my ride but the app claimed it was a no parking zone, when I did move to another location it still didn't end my ride because it said there was a no parking zone but it had all of West Hollywood highlighted as a no parking zone and that's where I found the wheels. I have used wheels few times times in this area and location and all the time I had an issue to unlock and finish but today had different experience, Got charged for 26 minute ride. They really needs to be a better way to contact for help and the app needs to have more features/improvement so if things like this happen you can still end the ride and not continuously get charged just because it won't end the ride. I am gonna uninstall this app and strongly recommend to don’t use it.

No ride or park zones. I work in downtown Cleveland and came outside of work tonight and there was a wheels bike parked outside of my office. Downloaded the app added my card and had to ride 5 blocks over to meet my husband who was stuck in traffic. (Go Browns) I jump on it’s working great and I’m having fun. Within 1 minute it stopped working so I hit the power button on my app. Tells me I’m in a safety zone. Long story short it took me 15 minutes to kick push this bike to a safe place to park. I feel like I was totally ripped off. Make sure when u get on u are aware of the location or the bike will stop working in no drive zones. I paid five dollars to freeze in 36 degree weather to push the scooter like a skateboard for 15 minutes..... not happy at all...

Fantastic!. Just went from downtown San Diego to Liberty Station along the waterfront and my face hurts from smiling😆. Best $10 I’ve spent in a long time. The bike was clean, charged up and in excellent condition. I brought wet wipes to clean the grips but they weren’t needed (Birds always need wet wipes). It was super easy to unlock, felt very solid and safe and ... it was SO FUN to ride! Zipping silently along San Diego Bay in the warm sunshine with the breeze on my face and palm trees swaying, all I need is a margarita now! Freakin’ awesome. I want to buy one now. 🌈🚲✊🏼

Over charged. The bike stop when I stop to take a pictures of the beach and had to walk the bike to a designated stop point over charged my card because time would not stop after ride ended app wouldn’t let me slide to end ride smh what a rip off I want my money back i didnt even get to drive 23$ worth of minutes I would not recommend at all because if you stop at non placing point where your bike is can not be placed it will not let you end the ride instead you have to pick up the motor bike and walk it to the spot while still charging your card wth And customer service number on bike just tell you leave voicemail wth while still charging me and my fiancé 23 buck

Charged for ride I never took.. Never had any bad experience with any app till this one you charged me 8.54 for a 26min ride I never took never responded back to give me my obvious refund back it’s either one or two things you guys play dumb and don’t ever pay anyone back or you just have really bad customer services either way I will never be using this app or your services ever again if it means so much and you guys are that desperate you can keep the 8.54. These guys are crooks and even after they charge you for a ride they will later charge you for the supposed 5 dollar charge for not parking your bike properly after they charged me already so they hit you with hidden charges later.

SCAM. I went into downtown and picked up 2 bikes in 1 hour of searching, that being because most of them are inside peoples’ apartments locked up, never to be seen again. Despite that, the 2 bikes I did drop off I had no problems with.. until later that day I checked the app the get ready to go find some more when I discovered that I was kicked out of being an employer (with no notice or readon) and when I repeatedly uninstalled and reinstalled the app hoping to get back in, it would not let me return to being an employer, meaning the few dollars I made in the hour of looking seemed to just vanish from thin air. HORRIBLE APP, hopefully no one uses it ever again.

Fun with complications. The ride is fun, easy to start, even easy to see where you can START your ride (location of parked scooters). Getting the ride to stop is the hard part. Parking is strange and very limited. I end up having to walk about 2 miles to get where I was going because scooter parking areas are so limited. This is a bad feeling considering I have picked up a scooter from a “no-parking” zone in a homeless camp. I tried to park in front of my resort hotel but the app didn’t like it. People were literally waiting for me to get off so they could ride. I’m too old and fat to walk 2 miles every time I want to get somewhere on one of these. If parking gets fixed I’ll be a near daily driver while in Hawaii.

Terrible Experience. We just rented 2 bikes and road them about a mile from where we are staying. We stopped and ended our ride with the intent to get back on and ride back to our hotel about 10 minutes later (the app did NOT notify us we were in a NO PARKING ZONE). When we got back on the bikes, it let us start our ride, and started charging us. The back wheel on the bikes were locked and we could not get them to go. We tried to end the ride and even though we were in the same place that we ended the ride the first time, it said “Unable to end ride in no parking zones”. The bikes have a URL listed that you can supposedly see the map of the these no park zones and of course it doesn’t work (it says no website found and yes we typed it correctly). I am currently 7 months pregnant and had to carry this bike to a place where I could get it to start or end my ride (again we don’t know how far we need to go because we don’t have access to the website that they said has the no parking zones). We called support and they took my info and said a rep would call me at *some point* and to stay by the bikes. That was hours ago and no one has reached out to us. It’s a good thing we were only a mile away from our hotel because we had to walk back. Needless to say it was a terrible experience.

Company will put your life at risk. I was excited to try this company just like many others. Unfortunately there’s not enough reviews when it comes to the customer service of this company. First off the battery on their bikes is terrible. The battery will last you about 1 hour if you’re lucky. They then want to charge you a fee to replace the bike for another one which is just as bad as the first one. My bike was unfortunately stolen and well this company doesn’t even have a phone number you can reach only email.... so be ready to get an answer after three days or more. I waited on the cops that night and they basically told me that I needed to get the value of the bike from the company in order for me to be able to make a police report. The company after responding 5 days later completely dismissed that. They instead sent me the location of where the bike was at and told me to go retrieve it. They wanted me to put my life at risk to get this rental back. The location was at a projects.... what was I suppose to do? Knock on every apartment till I found the bike? The company as a whole are callous towards their customers. I don’t want anyone else going through the experience I went through which is why I’m speaking up. Thank you for reading.

Ride would not shut off. I parked my bike and repeatedly tried to end the ride on the app. It would not work. I eventually had to leave the bike because it was pouring rain and I was freezing. I finally got the app to shut off when I was in my car and turned my phone off. This was a good five minutes after I left the bike. As a result I did not get to take a photo of the bike and its location. Turning it off was very frustrating and it will deture me from using it in the future

DO NOT RENT THIS COMPANY. Do NOT RENT THIS COMPANY, the customer service is horrible when the bike malfunctions they still expect you to pay even though you may not even be using the account you can never reach any decision makers and their allowed locations are racist they will not let you park bike in the Historic Overtown ( considered the hood) no notifications as that fact. When you complain they just give you the run around and treat you like you trying to steal from them their services etc not a good company they still have yet to give me back my money after several attempts at reaching out to have this issue resolved. Horrible company

Extra payments. I’ve noticed that although I’ve already paid $15 for rides they also charge me a dollar to unlock. This normally isn’t a big deal; however, it doesn’t only subtract it from what I have paid in advance but charges it straight to my card. So the app has charged me an extra 3 dollars on top of what I’ve already paid. Is this a bug or just how the app runs. Why doesn’t it just subtract it from my balance within the app rather then take extra payments from my card. Please fix this.

Not what expected. Not what I expected at all, first of you can’t even enjoy them properly at all. Secondly it keeps count of your minutes which makes it even worst , price wasn’t bad on the last attempt on a so called easy to use System. I had called the number from the bank statement which has changed recently, find it odd how they changed that most likely due to high volume complaints. The app charged me a hidden fee of unlocking the app plus the first two attempt it didn’t want to turn on, yet have heard back from them to take off the charge. Next time I’ll support a local bike shop instead of going this easy route .. sadly.

Horrendous. Use something else. ANYTHING ELSE!. I have attempted to use Wheels twice without success. Both times, there was something wrong with the bikes and I could not ride them. When I tried to end the rides, I was unable to because I was constantly getting a message that said I was in a no parking zone. Even if I moved the scooter to the correct zone, I still got this message. I finally let turned off the bike and left it. It ended up timing out my ride and charging me both times. I have yet to receive refunds. There is very little help when you are actually on a ride. Very hard to get in touch with anyone at the company. This is a sham and I have no doubt that they will go under, especially given the amount of competition they have. Please go away, Wheels!

Awful choice for monthly electric scooter rental in San Diego. I would say that the customer service is horrendous but that would imply that they have customer service. They don’t. There is absolutely no way you can call when you have a problem and you have to wait for email exchanges from somebody if you’re lucky to get a response at all. When I went to the shop in San Diego to pick up the bike, there was no obvious storefront no door to knock on and despite having filled out the arrival form, no one showed up for about 20 minutes to greet me and hand me the bike. Of course I couldn’t call anybody to find out what was going on. Two days before my rental ended, they locked me out so I couldn’t use it anymore and sent a guy to come pick it up on the wrong day. The guy picked it up was nice enough. Don’t use this company for a monthly rental. You’ll be very sorry you did.

App Won’t Work. Only works maybe once every 3 days. The rest of the time there are no bikes available in the city according to the app. If you do find one and try to unlock it the app will come back with something about the bike being offline. They also turn off all bikes after 10 pm as they are always offline, city wide, at 10 sharp. This is super inconvenient if you are just trying to get home fast after work. I have written customer service twice and only ever got the automated response. Fun idea if it worked. Update I have now been locked out of my account because the app crashed during a ride and I was unable to to take a picture. I am not being charged a fee for this and unable to ride until I go through EVERY bike in Dallas track down this random one bike and take a picture. Even though it was their error that caused it. I have had to call my bank for new cards because of them. DO NOT DOWNLOAD

Risky for first-time riders. After paying to use the bike and turning it on, I picked up the bike by the handle bars to orient it ob the path. BIG MISTAKE. The bike started throttling and getting out of control for me, moving around and having a life of its own. Then I realized that twisting the handle bars throttle the whole bike, propelling it to move. Even though I read the sticker that says that it goes when you twist the handle bar, it was not intuitive to me and how else was I supposed to re-position the bike manually without lifting up by the handle bars? I had to deliberately lift up the bike by the middle crossbar which was inconvenient for me. This was a lesson learned and was scary for me.

Worst experience. Was ridding the bike for 5 minutes to get to my car and then spent 25 minutes trying to end my ride but the app claimed it was a no parking zone, when I did move to another location it still didn’t end my ride because it said there was a no parking zone but it had all of West Hollywood highlighted as a no parking zone and that’s where I found the wheels. I have used wheels many times in this area and location and never had an issue until today. Got charged for a 31 minute ride. I called the 888 number while this was going on and got no response. There really needs to be a better way to contact for help and the app needs to have more features so if things like this happen you can still end the ride and not continuously get charged just because it won’t end the ride.

Transparency. They lack. No where does it show cost per use. Rented two of these which was fun, but one had no power a few minutes in and while we stopped to figure this all out, we were being charged. Couldn't turn off the service so it kept charging until gps worked. My gps stated 3.2 miles while theirs showed over 13 miles, although I was at the park next door. Felt like a scam and warn against others using this overly priced, non maintained piece of s that charged me $50 for their fake 13 miles and time used trying to figure out this mess. The downsides to this far outweigh the upside. Don't believe me yet? Take a look at their 6 page terms before accepting. There's NO representative to call and email is the only contact"we will get back to you". If anything goes wrong here your in a world of h. Stay far, far away. Your better off using your feet than putting money behind this company and it's horrible shady way of business. You've been warned.

Horrible Customer Service. I rented one of these things on a monthly basis and what they gave me was a piece of crap that had 2100 miles on it and has been beat to death…prior to my taking possession of this heap it had obviously been crashed, the brakes don’t work well…looks like it has been run over…the battery won’t hold a charge the wheels don't hold air…I’ve called customer service every single day since I took possession I have heard back from them that once I have written a review on their end of ride check out list and it has not been good at all not once… I’ve heard nothing back absolutely nothing…This has been a colossal waste of time and money it has been so frustrating that I wish that I could just throw the thing in the garbage but that can’t happen… What can happen is me going to the pick up location tomorrow and politely asking for a new on they can forget my renewing any contract whatsoever and that I will review them every single chance I get…oh and a report to the BBB…stay away from this company, it is awful…

Horrible. My friends and I had a reservation at a restaurant about 1.1 miles away. We thought “let’s just take the bikes there”. What a horrible decision. We spent 20 minutes after arriving trying to end our ride in their “designated parking zones”, but yet the app wasn’t allowing us to end our ride while it kept charging us. The app said we weren’t in the parking zone even though we were. We thought “it’s OK, we’ll contact their support to get this resolved” WRONG. Phone number, nowhere to be found. The email ticket system, which is non-existent, had to double reply to get a response. When I finally got a response, their brain-dead support was giving us copy and paste replies. You have a better chance of getting a real response from the bike than you would from their support.

What happened?. I loved these bikes and app. Always use them when I come down to the beach, but the last few times I use the app, it keeps locking/stopping the bike from going because my location on the app is incorrect. I’ll be in a proper and allowed location to ride in but the app recognizes me as being somewhere else and won’t let me ride. Took the bike to an allowed riding /parking area but the app refused to let me end the ride because I was not in an allowed riding/parking area because the app had my location incorrect. Tried pushed the bike for almost half an hour trying to end the ride until it finally forced me out of the ride on its own. Horrible experience and it was the biggest inconvenience ever

Garbage. Do not use. Used one of these bikes in Oahu to get to a boat ride in the morning. The app wouldn’t let me and my partner park the bikes because they were in “no parking zones”. There was also no map within the app that showed us where we could park. We rode around for 20minutes trying to find a spot where the app would let us park (including designated bike parking areas in Oahu). Finally, my partner was able to get her bike to end ride but in the EXACT SAME LOCATION, I wasn’t able to do the same. Had to end up leaving the bike running because I wasn’t able to park and was about to miss my boat ride. Total charge: $65 usd for a bike ride that was supposed to be 20minutes.

On vacation!!. We went to Seattle from Hawaii for a well deserved vacation! My hubby has a bad back so walking long distance was out of the question.. I was afraid that this vacation would be a bust but because your Wheels was there all around the down town area, it made it so much easier and a blast!! We had so much fun on them that my hubby is looking into purchasing two for us.. There were some that ran perfectly and done that needed some maintenance bug all and all our experience on Wheels was amazing!! Would really like to look into investing in this project..

Great Experience and easy to use!!!. A group of us took a trip to Venice for the weekend where we noticed the Wheels bikes everywhere we went. Many people were riding the bikes around the area and it looked like they were having such a good time that we had to try it for ourselves. After a little bit of shopping and eating around we decided to give them a try. We were all able to get signed in and begin riding within less than 20 seconds. The experience was great and felt very safe. We rode the bikes through the Venice boardwalk which has a bike lane and the view was breathtaking in the evening which was made even more enjoyable by being able to ride Wheels. For anyone looking to try these bikes I would highly recommend them. They feel very safe and are a lot of fun!

Fun but parking confusing. It didn’t really explain that you have to park next to the other scooters. As a first time user the app kept saying ‘park in the green circle’—I was in the green circle… finally realized I had to park with the other scooters and then the app wouldn’t recognize that I was swiping to end the ride. I had to kill my wifi and kill the app, THEN it let me stop the timer. It’s still cool, but I wish the parking was emphasized when I opened the app or something. At least I know now, user error, but the app timer still going after I parked correctly is an extra drag.

1 star is too many. I download the app and starting riding one of the “bikes” in the border of Culver City and Santa Monica. It was not fun (slow and uncomfortable) but I needed to get somewhere in Santa Monica so I kept riding for maybe 2 or 3 miles. The battery of the thing died on the way so I decided to just park it with some Bird scooter nearby. EXCEPT on the app it said I was in a “restricted area” and was not allowed to park in the area (Santa Monica). In order to end the ride and stop being charged and I had to drag the heavy thing for almost 2 miles back to Culver City (took me more than 30 minutes) and at the end I was charged for my “time” with the bike. One star is too many, don’t download, this it is not worth it and I’ll make sure to tell all my friends this is terrible and there are way better options out there

Charges you monthly automatically. I downloaded this app while I was outta town an thought it would be fun but honestly I recommend lime bike or bird app this app charged me $5 to ride the bike for 2 literal minutes on top of that I noticed they started charging me $5 monthly when I never signed up for any monthly charges at all I am currently trying to cancel my subscription but they make it to where you have to send a ticket to them and wait for a response there is nowhere you can automatically cancel your subscription DON’T DOWNLOAD THIS APP they will take your money!!

Transporter function is terrible. I downloaded this to try to make a few bucks on the side picking up bikes and driving them to hubs. Of about 12 spots on the map I visited, only 2 had actual bikes I could find to pick up. The other 10 were either nowhere to be found, or likely in someone’s yard or garage. Not Wheels’ fault, but what was definitely their fault was that the app WOULDNT PAY ME when it came time to drop off the bike. It said I was in the wrong place (I wasn’t) and that it couldn’t complete payout. Really??? AFTER I do the work for you, the app breaks? Also I couldn’t upload more than one picture into my complaint. If this company’s model depends on the bikes being picked up and moved around by transporters, they’re gonna have to do a lot better.

Issue that needs to be fixed. I used Wheels for the first time in downtown San Diego and it was very fun only thing is I think wheels need to fix is that they should be able to let u look in different cites in the map to see where the bikes are instead of only having the bikes pop up when u actually get to those cities.

Ride won’t end, scamming. So I took the wheels to go home, like 5 mins. Got to my spot and tried to stop the ride and it won’t stop. Now it’s racking up like 40 mins because the app won’t stop the ride. I tried to everything. Slide the simple arrow to end ride and it slides over but no stop. I’ve been trying to end this for like 30 mins, nothing. It’s still going as I write this even though I’m in my place, parked the bike, tried to end the ride I’m the app, and turned it off. Don’t use this if you want a simple ride. I’m just hoping the customer support is decent and they will reimburse.

activation fee = bogus & Unnecessary but the $ per minute is worth it.. Honestly, the dollar should be imposed on a minimum minute usage basis on the back-end. Think about it...if my bike runs out of juice or if my trip is longer than most, I have to pay that fee again and again!? What if your bike just freezes, I have to eat that fee!? And what, I’m gonna really chase you down for a single one dollar issue?! You guys are smart but let the people eat CAKE! !! CHARGE THE ONE DOLLAR SAUSAGE FEE ON THE BACK END IF CUSTOMERS DO NOT USE THE BIKES FOR A MINIMUM OF YOUR TOTAL COST @ ur BREAK EVEN POINT. just sayin...until then, 4-stars. I am deliberately trying to not pull off two stars for this issue. Ok. Enjoy. The bike is pretty darn fun guys and it’s much faster then those cheapie little scooters that break your hands from hitting Los Angeles potholes with concrete tires. You know what I’m talking about! And you guys want to level up with the cheapie scooter company’s and charge the EXACT SAME FEE FROM FRONT TO BACK!? Cmon be original!

Warning you need to wear safety equipment. Ok so the app is great and the vehicle is great... but I must advise you that you really want to have safety cause the first time I fell off with out anything to protect me and scraped up my right knee and hands pretty bad soo you would want gloves, knee pads, and a helmet and you should anyways cause the app gives you a ton of warnings I didn’t cause I live in Missouri and we don’t have any here plus I’m just here for vacation and I have no safety equipment. So if you don’t have any safety equipment you should ride one of the scooters but I you do I diffidently recommend it, it’s really fun

SAVE YOUR MONEY. DO NOT USE.. I wish I could give this 0 stars. Please don’t end up like my boyfriend and I did, save your time and money. 1. The app doesn’t tell you when you’re in a red zone, instead- it just casually shuts the bike down, causing you to have no other choice but to WALK IT, out of the red zone that continues to add more red zones as you walk out of it. OH and let me add, you HAVE to remove it from the zone in order to park it and IT CHARGES YOU THE WHOLE TIME. 2. THEY HAVE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM. I called the number on the wheels and they told me they would call me back 3 times I called and never did. I know it looks like fun, but please just use the electronic scooters available, save your money and don’t let this company scam you.

Fun for my whole (adult) family!. Was visiting family in SD and stumbled upon Wheels nearby my sisters place and decided to give it a try. Loved the speed and control I had throughout the ride! I even convinced my 62 year old mom to give it a shot and she had a blast. At one point I had the whole family of seven on them with our music playing through the bike! I can definitely see how these could be used to commute in a dense place like downtown SD. Compared to the competition I can’t see how these won’t catch on (or already are! Saw so many people on them throughout the couple days I was in town). Can’t wait for them to be in my town

Battery and software problems. There were about ten bikes lined up down the block from my downtown Austin apartment. I figured they must all have just been charged and dropped off… wrong. We activated 5 or 6 bikes to find a second bike that had close to half a charge. Even with two bars of battery, once you get going the charge drops way down. The bikes barely had enough power to make it over a gentle hill. After two blocks one of he bikes stoped working, so we found another. After a mile and a half, the replacement bike stopped working. That left my Partner on foot while I went looking for another replacement. None were to be found, so we decided to give up. I parked my bike and swiped to end the ride, but the app froze, it took me about three minutes to get the app to end the ride. The app clocked 19 minutes and a distance of 3 plus miles for $8. In fact I had actually traveled 1.5, ridden under 10 minutes, and wasted 8 minutes on battery and software issues. I’ll stick with a scooter next time. Faster, more reliable, more fun and less frustration. Just my first and last experience with wheels.

Took our money!! Over $60 for 1 ride.. We were honestly super excited about these new scooters..... Until my boyfriend and I were both overcharged for rides that we were unable to end because the app was so glitchy. I was charged $8 for a ride I didn’t go on and my boyfriend was charged $53!! We reached out to the support team MULTIPLE TIMES via email with absolutely no response. We are continuously in loops of the auto responses and someone saying they’ll “forward it to their support team.” PLEASE give us our money back. It’s been almost a month and such a headache. I understand it’s a start up and they probably have a small team but this should be top priority. You can’t just take people’s money with no support team or willingness to help.

Don’t ride!!. This app and ride share service is terrible! There is no way in the app to navigate to a stop, and the map it directs you to is not detailed enough to give even street names. So you have to pay while you open another app to navigate you to the stop. I prepaid and our ride took longer than we anticipated and then it locked up the bike when we had to stop to further out where we were. No way to back up and add more money or do anything. But the date kept going up. Had to drag the bike a half mile to end the ride!!

Ride wouldn’t turn off. After my ride I followed the app instructions and swiped to end the ride. The ride continued to run and charge me for another five minutes. I didn’t get the ride to stop until I turned my phone off and turned it back on. By this point I had driven away from the bike and could not submit a picture. Was very frustrated. I was stuck in pouring down rain and trying to just get out of the rain.

Poorly made app bikes work good. They had the free ride promotion and I tried to unlock a bike and it wouldn’t let me because apparently it said my card information is incorrect or not available it didn’t let me use the bike so I have an additional phone from the government hopefully they have another free ride promotion because free rides are the best especially when you use to riding the bike all the time and have no vehicle I can’t drive legally so this helps me feel relief that I don’t need my car to be happy 😊 I really would like to buy a electric bike or scooter in the future to zip on the sidewalk and it’s a lot safer than automobiles lol 😂 please keep it on when free rides I’ll change my review as soon as it works for me :)

Fun ride but app doesn’t let you know where parking zones are. I recently too a wheels to ride to dinner to avoid my car today. The bike it myself was fine for the most part , brakes were pretty worn down but in LA it’s not like you’re going 50. The issue arose when I got to my destination and told that I was in a no parking zone This is perfectly reasonable except that the app doesn’t show you where any nearby parking zones are so instead of ending my ride within let’s say five minutes of me looking for a place to park it cost me another 15 minutes of wandering around hoping to find a parking zone and ultimately I had to uninstall the app and I hope that I don’t get charged as the ride was never truly ended I understand that a lot of parts of Los Angeles don’t allow these types of machines and that’s fine but as a casual user I don’t exactly know the hardlines where Beverly Hills starts and ends The fact that the app doesn’t point you in a direction to facilitate you ending it right it’s completely ridiculous

Bike Completely Shut off and kept Charging me!. App works great! Bike doesn’t 👎🏼 I understand that I’m not allowed to park in a no parking zone. It physically won’t stop. After about a minute leaving the bike alone, the bike turned right off. No warning. The battery was half full and yet nothing was working. Lights were completely off. Since I was in a no parking zone I had to walk about half a mile to the nearest zone. This caused me to be charged way more than it should’ve been. How are you going to charge me for carrying the bike because the wheel was locked and everything was shut off in a no parking zone? I would like my money back for getting charged on a ride I never went on.

Don’t download this app.. I normally only use this service to travel to and from work. So a lot!!! I can’t remember the last time I got a fully working bike. They either have a strange clicking noise or no battery or a loose wheel, no foot petals or some other random damage. Plus there is no way of knowing if it has charge before you pay to unlock them (ridiculous). I’ve been stranded with a bike that randomly stopped working in the middle of no where wIth no other bikes around. Needles to say this app is completely unreliable. Also costumer service is the hardest thing to get in contact with. So if you don’t like throwing money away just delete this app and use another one.

Bogus Charges for Non-Use. Bogus charges will end up on your credit card. When your bike refuses to start, you’ll get charged. Time is money. When your bike suddenly stops working nowhere near a designated parking area, fees will unknowingly continue to rack up in the background and you will be unable to end the ride. You’ll be charged a bundle even when you’re no longer able to use the bike because it automatically turned off even though my credit card account was set to auto reload. This company is a total rip-off. Stay away!

Feels like I got scammed.. My friends and I used these bikes to get around in Downtown Austin. We all went to the same destination but somehow I was charged about 4x more than them, triggering the automatic reload (which of course is switched on by default). They only have customer service via a form on their app. In the app, it doesn’t even say how much the rides cost and I tried to get a receipt but it says my account doesn’t have an email listed (have to have an email to start the account so that’s not true.) I’m really disappointed. Not to mention they slowed down the bike near UT because it’s a no ride zone and I was stuck using my feet to push myself through a busy intersection to get out of the no ride zone.

Scam - bike locks up and charge you time locked. Contact: “Better Business Bureau Scam Tracker” Update: Customer service “Felicia” responds 2 days after I called for support while the bike was frozen and miles away! Great job of following up while customers are in need of help! WARNING - This is a Scam operation with a Fake customer service rep! DO NOT BE LEFT STRANDED — - - - - - - - - At first it was working but then all of a sudden it locked up and I couldn’t move it and I was dragging it until I could finally connect to their extremely rude “Answering service” who was so nasty and yelled at me saying there is “NO LOCATION FOR HONOLULU” yet I am using it in Honolulu and regret it. While I’m on the line with this rude person, I am being charged and they charged me multiple times then credited it then multiple times and credited it. But never responded or refunded the time that they scammed me while the bike was locked up and frozen inexplicably. Do Not Use because you could be miles away from where they will force you to park and you’ll have to drag it back while being charged! Pure scam

Horrible app/ customer service is a joke.. App is buggy. Takes forever to end a ride. And i got on one bike and it died out of no where before i could even take off. The app wanted me to turn bike on but I couldn’t. So there was an option to click “cant ride bike” i clicked it and it ended the ride. When i went to get on another bike it tells me “unable to ride please end current ride” i was sitting out side in the dark for 30 mins trying to call customer service and it just ask me to leave a voice mail and email. The “Help” menu doesn’t help. I see why Lime and bird are so successful plus wheels charged me $3.29 just to ride for a few seconds because the bike wheels where messed up. This company is a joke

Ruined my day. Can’t believe how bad this experience was. The app, once you’re riding, doesn’t show you where the dropoff locations are - the time it takes to memorize the address, plug it into your browser, find the local hotels, then plug these into google maps adds 10 minutes. Worst of all, my bike died 10 blocks from the nearest dropoff, and I had to carry it there so I could end the ride. 40 minutes carrying an ebike and I was paying for it the whole time. And then I was further from my hotel than when I started!! $75 for screwing an entire half day in Hawai’i with my son (who got to watch dad lose his mind for an hour).

Terrible experience. Terrible experience. Three bikes dead. One finally seemed to work and died after two mins.

Double the time to find parking area. Could not parked until found a place 6-7 more minutes

Tire flattened!. Tire went flat about halfway through

Garbage. They keep stopping and going they’re garbage

Not impressed. This bike was located in the bike free zone & I had no idea!!! Wheels activated & than would not allow me to proceed. I had to walk 20 minutes with the bike & park it in the parking zone. Never again!!!

Bike wont end!!!. There is no end Botton i keep pushing it and it wont end i need to contact my cc company this is insane!! I took it for 3 min its now 7 min ans still counting!! How do i get help!!!

NF. The app did not accept my mobile number Never even able to try it

Very efficient fast and convenient. Great for Aaron’s running or getting around town, when the bicerfully charged they work the best and go pretty fast. One thing that would be helpful is having enough power to get up a good size hill however

Nice but stops a lot. Nice way to get around but it kept stopping and saying it was in a “No Ride Zone” even though my husband’s scooter kept going. Stopped at least 4 times for a total of about 3 minutes where I had to push along with one foot until it would start again. Not a big deal but annoying and you’re paying the whole time so ...

Bikes needs servicing. 4 bikes lined up together downtown, first bike made a strange sound squeaky sound so I canceled that ride and tried another. Second bike had absolutely no breaks so I canceled that ride and tried another. Third bike did not have a power button to start so I canceled that and tried another. My final option got me home however the bike is extremely wobbly and feels as if it’s missing a few screws and when going up a steep hill I had to get off and push.

SOOO FUN IN SD. Recently some friends came to San Diego and we decided to get around downtown in some Wheels! Let me tell you how fun it was! There are soooo many bike lanes so we would get around all the foot traffic and get to spots quicker. I absolutely love these and can not wait for them to be in every city I visit. They are so fun.... give them a try

TRANSPORTER JOB NEEDS ALOT OF FIX. The worst side gig ever! 1. THEY NEED SOME KIND OF LOCK OR LOUD SOUND SO PEOPLE DONT TAKE THEM OR FEEL FREE TO PLAY WITH THEM WHILE THEY ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE. 2. THEY NEED SOME KIND OF “LOCK IN” FOR WHO IS ON THEIR WAY TO PICK UP A BIKE (multiple people picking up ONE bike at the same time, CHAOS!) FIRST: Seems like people are hiding the wheels in their houses while you’re suffering trying to pinpoint the tracker. Also, had to ask someone that I needed to pick the wheels up that he was playing with at 10:30PM and he refused. Wasted two days of gas (first day was sort of successful) 2nd day: FAILURE. looking for wheels that were supposedly a couple minutes away and couldn’t find them for the death of me! Also, bumped into people taking the wheels that I drove 5 minutes to get multiple times. What a waste of MY time right? Major change needed QUICK.

Help!!. There is NO SUPPORT when you click on the link. I tried to use this scooter and it let me connect my card, only to not move when I gave it gas. I noticed a flashing battery light. So went to disconnect. It’s been 30 MINUTES!! It’s still charging my card, saying make sure Bluetooth is on (which it is) and literally has me stuck standing here on a street because I can’t leave it if I’m still responsible for it. The fact there is no way I can disconnect is very upsetting. I need someone to contact me from this company

So fun!. I had a great experience with the app and the scooter. My husband and I zoomed through La Jolla and had so much fun except his didn’t have full battery life and we had to keep switching scooters to find one with a decent amount of juice left. When we finally found one we were going uphill and it barely moved so we decided to walk the rest of the way. We will definitely do this again!

Usually have a great experience. The bike would not end at the 27:40 minute mark when I tried to end it. I reached my destination and tried to end the bike but it would not end. The system is trying to recoup all the money it lost during the 2020 covid situation so they are fixing the bikes to charge more money and not end. I turned off my Bluetooth and the bike to try and end it but it still would not end. they need to refund me up to til the 26:40 mark.

Ridiculous. I have tried these a few times at local locations and have been disappointed time and time again. One bike won’t start, one refuses to end the ride, and another’s Bluetooth doesn’t work. I have reached out to customer support many times informing them of charges and problems with their bikes and have been completely disregarded. Instead of solving the issue, they left the unreasonable charges and barred me from using them (which I do not plan to do ever again). For your own sake, do not try your luck- if I could give 0 stars I would.

Way better than bird and lime!. I’ve been using Wheels now for a month and I’ll never go back to using limes or birds again. For one thing, riding a Wheels feels much safer. Being able to sit down is a huge plus. The bigger wheel base also makes me feel more comfortable. Finally, I love the Bluetooth speaker on the bike that lets me cruise to work listening to my favorite music!

Fun but not happy. Worked like a charm until I tried to end ride. Made it to my destination with to meet fun important employer, I was going to show Him I was fun too. Tried to end ride and couldn’t.ultimate embarrassment!!! Had to drive almost back to where I picked scooter up to find a non restricted location. Finally walked back and I was way late. Almost missed the appointment altogether. First time. I want a refund!

App failed to end trip even when in green zone. They let you download the app, pay 8$ initially, then take a ride, then when you want to end the ride it doesn’t let you, even if you are in the green zone. This happened to me and my friend, and ended up charging each one of us $48 on top of the initial 8$- total of 56$ for a 10 min ride. If you don’t care about your money, then download the app and use their scooters and I promise they’ll take good care of you.

Seriously?. These things are REALLY slow! It also ran up an extra three minutes after I started using the slider on the screen to end the ride before it actually did anything so that I could end the ride. So one third of the charge was me waiting for the app to function and hitting the slide to end buttons over and over. I would give it a one but it was easy to sign up..

Not happy. First ever review. Thought it would be a great idea to utilize this while vacationing in Orlando. Didn’t realize I couldn’t park the bike except for certain areas. Want me to return and hike a mile now? No thanks. Tried everything to end the ride and wouldn’t let me. Don’t download this app if you are vacationing in Orlando, not worth the headache. Waste of money and I’m now out $$ because it wouldn’t let me end the ride. Would have happily paid a fee to end the ride. No number to call for help or anything.

Locked down/out.. Stop by store w Daughter on another scooter. While sitting on scooters got locked out and continuesly charged for not riding and not parked. Sitting. Had to drag scooter to another parking spot blocks away before could end ride and no longer be charged. Rode for maybe 15min if that, and was charged for 50 mins. Called customer service, was told someone would call , no one called. Complete Scam in Waikiki Honolulu. Not recommended to anyone, especially with a Disability!

Awful Customer Service. We used wheels for the first time in Atlanta and the scooter died while we were riding and when we tried to end the ride it said we could not because the bike wasn’t on. After 20 minutes of them charging us, us calling multiple times, sending multiple emails a worker from their company who charges the scooters happened to pass by and he couldn’t fix it and the company wouldn’t answer his calls either. Four days later and they still haven’t contacted us. Waste of money and they don’t care about customers or workers obviously.

24hr customer service. The bike rides perfect but I had a recent problem which required a customer service rep and I could not get a hold of one at all within the time I needed help. Being on the east coast doesn’t make it any better either, as I think the need for 24 hr customer service is needed for weekly or monthly renters.

TRASH!!!. I was first introduced to these back in 2018 and I loved them. Top speed was around 30MPH, affordable and could even play music from my phone. Unfortunately, they were removed due to city statutes. Fast forward to 2021 when they resurfaced on the scene. I was excited! Then I got on one. It said top speed was 18MPH, but I was being passed by VEO scooters with a top speed of 15MPH. HOW SWAY?!??!! I thought 18MPH was faster than 15MPH. So first issue, they have been EXTREMELY NERFED and the company is lying about the speed. Second issue is I will see one on the app and it says the battery is at 100%. Then as soon as I even turn it on to ride, battery goes down to the lowest percentage and even die on my ride. Not one in the reemergence of these Wheels bikes has been a good experience. Trash. Deleting the app and never looking back.

Need to fix this ASAP 🙏🏽🙏🏽. Why can’t I find any Ebikes in my app I went to three closes locations around me, where the bikes were located. But I couldn’t find any of them, You guys need to put a subject for we could report them missing. I’ll put 5 stars if you guys fix that I love the wheel are lit 🔥🔥🔥 I live in south central hopefully you guys bring them down here please do 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Bad bad experience first timer. So I decided to try out the bike wheels today turns out I was using a scooter that I thought I had turned on my self but some older guy come over and took my bike and there’s no way I couldnt stop him from taking I tried turning it off but I couldn’t take a pic so you guys should have a customer service number we’re we can cal right away this isn’t right I’m hopping you guys can help me out with some type of refund or something

This is the future.... Figure away to get better instant charging make the bike go at least 150 to 200 miles distance and at the same speed 20 to 25 both inclines landscape and normal landscape . You all get yourself a mine of gold for the same price you all will be booming.

Awful experience. What a horrible experience. The bike suddenly stopped and it won’t turned on. It left us about half a mile away from the nearest location. And we had to drag the bikes all the way to a parking area with an antitheft lock. I do not recommend this service to anyone I know. We also tried to call customer service to do the right thing and solve the issue. And all the numbers are corporate. No support, no diversity of options for when an issue arise. Rubbish!!!

Disappointing. Even though my scooter had two bars of power it would go very fast not uphill. Lost power several times. Too many restricted areas. Even when I pushed the scooter out of the restricted zone, the Wheels app wouldn’t let me drop off the bike, all the while charging me. My friend and I had to cut our ride short; his scooter was even more if a lemon. Not worth the cost, too many hassles and limitations. Probably will not try again nor recommend to friends. You have some work to do.

App works for two days and then noting. I signed up to be a transporter for wheels. After about five hours of work there app crashed and still 7 days later is not working. The frustrating part is I have sent multiple emails and was left with multiple scooters as well and still not able to get in to drop off or to access the transporter portion of the app. At this point all I get is a invalid security token! Fix your program! Also send over the 290 dollars you owe me for move tasks! I will be filing in small claims court over this!

Excellent Ride, bad payment processing. For the people who claim that this is too hard to ride, come on now. Make sure you never get anywhere near a motorcycle! Operation is super simple. The ride felt safer and smoother than a Bird scooter. The only reason I’m dropping it down to 4 stars, the app tried to charge me three times for one ride. My fraud protection picked that up really quick and blocked the second and third charges.

Slower speed = higher cost. All bikes and scooters on the Atlanta belt line have been slows down for some reason. Because of this, our wheels were has as fast as usual. This took away all the fun of an electric ride and DOUBLED the cost because the total cost is calculated based on time. Our trip took twice as long as it usually does which ended up doubling the cost of the trip from the normal cost. We won’t be using any electric transportation on the belt line anymore because of this. Reduce the cost in half if you’re reducing the top speed, otherwise we can just Uber for less.

No Refunds for Bike with No Charge. I found an area with 4 bikes and picked one to activate. For all of 2 minutes, I tried to get the bike to work, but nothing happened. Lo and behold the bike was out of power, so I stopped the service. I was charged $4.40 for this 2 minute “ride” despite the fact that the bike never got started in the first place. When I tried to look into requesting a refund for the ride, I found it impossible to find anyone to contact for customer service. I’d give this company 0 stars if I could.

Disaster and no one to call. My scooter died In Santa Monica where are you are not allowed to stop it. I tried and my Rianna and it wouldn’t allow me to end it in that area. Then I tried to find a phone number to call and there wasn’t one. It took over 30 minutes for them to end the ride. My only recourse is to dispute the charges on my credit card which I’ve done. I won’t use their service again and until they get it functioning better I wouldn’t recommend anyone else would either.

Horrible product. If the bike has issues connecting, congratulations, you just spent a minimum of $4 to not move at all. You also won’t be able to end the ride so it will just keep charging you until you figure out how to get it to stop. My bike wouldn’t turn on after it did initially to connect so I was just stuck with a bike that wouldn’t move and was racking up charges because it doesn’t disconnect or stop charging you when the bike is off. So impressively dumb.

App Not Reporting Bike Locations Correctly. I was hired as a Transporter. I drove around for over two hrs to pick up 10 bikes, but only 4 were where they said they’d be. I’m assuming their users leave them in locked apt complexes or deep into fenced private property.. or the app is just reporting erroneous information. As far as I can tell, there is ZERO compensation when this happens. Ultimately, their App is deeply flawed. All it did was waste my gas and time when I could be gathering Lime Scooters for charging or driving Lyft to ACTUALLY make $20 as Wheels App advertisements suggest. So 4 bikes= $10hr (less than min wage)

Too much for too little. I realize it costs a lot to keep a company like wheels running, and there’s lots of different costs associated with it all, but it just cost too much pride for how little I’m actually using the vehicle like $10 just to go to 7-Eleven and back? ....actually I haven’t even gone back yet... I knew I was racking up buchu bucks so I ditched the wheels bike and hopped on a bird so that it wouldn’t be so expensive, because a one-way trip from Sunset Boulevard to 7-Eleven which is almost at the Silverlake reservoir for $10?? ......I mean.....Are you kidding me? Haha apparently not...yikes! 😳

Worst Experience Bikes don’t ride -scam. Tried taking this wheels around the area and constantly stopping you saying no ride zone but does not show where ride zone starts or ends. Sometime just a few feet out of zone it says ride safe zone but still doesn’t go. Wasted about 10 mins and only rode for 2-3 mins without a problem which was super slow. Seriously worst experience ever my fiancé couldn’t even leave a review. Would not let me slide to end even when in safe zone to park.

Would not recognize I was out of the zone to end right.. I was clearly out of the zone to park and end the ride but it would not allow me to end it, tacking on another 3 minutes to my ride. I had to drive the thing into a parking lot to get the app to recognize I was out of the riding zone. Then I had to walk the bike back to a proper resting space to not be charged an improper parking fee of $5. I enjoyed the machine but did not enjoy the lack of detail the app procured and costing me extra money.

Suggestions. I wish that the app has an option to have a group ride, so that we could all ride the bike, but it was very easy to start and bike and we didn’t have any troubles with it stopping or anything, but for a minute I couldn’t stop the ride so I had to close the app and restart it, but when I didn’t that the ride was able to stop. But I suggest they add an option to have a group ride like lime scooters have.

More like feet. The bike said it had 5 miles left. Most of the flat terrain I constantly contemplated if I could walk faster. I had to push for anything that wasn’t flat. 18 minutes to go 1 mile. And that was after a few minutes if loading a credit card in the dark. I really think I could have walked in the same time. And maybe my legs wouldn’t be as tired as pushing the extra weight of this “bike”. I’m going to start eating people now because I’m am of the night, if you know what I mean.

Horrible. These bikes are the absolute worst of any that I’ve ridden! If you even get close to a sidewalk the bike turns off so we spent most of our ride using our feet to scoot forward. It freezes horribly and we were both charged for over a minute more than we actually rode because the time kept running even when it was frozen AND even though the bike was not in a no parking zone (it was parked right next to about 6 other bikes and no yellow line on the curb) it would not allow me to end ride and claimed it was in a no parking zone and the time also ran while it did this.

Peiman Jahangiri— Report cancel. Hi dear Yesterday first time or using it but I can’t because app have a problem I am 15 minute waiting for use about a cup please give money bac yesterday first time using about I come because app have a problem I am 15 minutes waiting for use about I con’t ☹️ Anyway, can you return it my money in account ( $ 30 ) thank you so much I

When the Internet connection is lost. I was worried that it would keep charging me but after about 10 minutes because I was at the beach it finally went through and I did stop at the appropriate amount of time so I was happy about that.

Overcharging. My wife and I both rented our first Wheels in Austin TX. We took the same trip side by side. We ended the trip and shut down our Wheels. The trip time was approx 20 min. We have another app called Life360 to prove our timing. While my wife was billed for 20 minutes I was billed for nearly and hour. In reviewing the app menu there is no way to submit for a refund. Convenient. We won’t be using Wheels again and will stick with using their competitors.

Scooter Bike Malfunctioning. Please Refund My Money Back I Did Not Ride This Bike That Long Also I Have Been Trying To Park And Lock The Scooter Bike For Almost An Hour I’m Not Happy One Bit And Please Refund My Full Amount There’s No Way A Parking Zone Cover Almost This Ride I Have Not Taken A Ride This Long And I’m Very Frustrated For Being Charged Excessively Especially When I Have Try Too Park And End This Ride For Several Miles Refund My Full Amount I Have Never Rode A Scooter This Long Very Frustrated That This Happen The Way It Happen Please Do Not Scheme My Funds From My Bank Account Or I’m Gonna Dispute This With My Bank Thanks

No ride/park zones. Stuck paying for a 30 minute ride when 24 minutes of the ‘ride’ was me trying to get it out of a no ride zone and trying to end the ride. Gives you no indication on the app of which way to go to exit the zone and no indication of where a safe parking place is. Was not a fun or enjoyable experience at all. Will definitely be sticking to Lime/Bird/Spin which don’t seem to present these problems nearly as much. Also horrible customer contact through the app, was never able to get refunded. Get it together please!!!

Terrible. This is the worst idea ever! Picked up one of their scooters in Honolulu, only to be told the only place I could drop off it was the same place I picked it up at. What is the purpose of that? When I called customer service after having been charge for 35 minutes on a five minute ride, was told that somebody would get back to me within 72 hours. Meanwhile I’m being charged one dollar per minute for the next 72 hours. This is ridiculous. Stay away!

Find a better service these prices rip you off. Super slow ,hard Tires, stops working in the middle of the ride,it left me stranded 20 blocks from where I originally picked it up from and was not able to get it going again so I had to walk back 20 blocks. Find a better service do not use these guys .the app is horrible there’s no phone number to contact anybody they just leave you stranded on the side of the road with a bill

Nice ride, faulty app. Be careful with charges.. I signed up and Took my first ride today. When I tried to end it, the app said I was in a no parking area. I was at least 2 blocks from the restricted Area and the gps location was correct clearly showing me well inside the legal location. There was no way for me to get out of the screen and on top of that, there was zero information about what to do if u have a problem. No phone number, no link, nothing.

UnReliable. It would’ve been all fun. The app lacks a lot of important information and there is no way to get help. We stopped our bikes to look at some views. And when we were going to get on back, it did not work and turn on at all. Tried everything to figure it out. No help and not support from customer service. We had to drag it to the car, and take it back. Honestly not worth it if you can’t get help.

Liars & cheats. Forget the fact that the seat doesn’t change height and only comfortably fits people under 5’9”, the website advertises that a full charge will last 30 miles. This would be a reasonable distance to get around San Diego (15 miles each direction) but the bike dies after about 12 miles which defeats the purpose of using it to get around anywhere, because instead of a 15 mile radius, I now can only travel a 5 mile radius. Save your money and spend it elsewhere.

Terrible experience. The ride was fun until you try to park it in a designated spot for the ride but the app wouldn't let me end the ride and had to keep pushing it until it looked like it was on the spot. It still wouldn't end the ride, it kept charging me multiple times. My wife had to call customer service for them to turn her off and even then it kept charging her as well. Ive dispute the charges twice for two random charge on the app when I wasn't event using it.

Horrible. I was in California this pass weekend and decided to ride one, first off the it kept cutting off then just started back up when it wanted too. It wouldn’t let me cancel the ride to get a new, I spent most of my time walking this dam thing than riding it . I been trying to request a refund of money but unfortunately they don’t have a number for you call, no email, or customer service you can contact for your issues. Will never ride or suggest this to anyone

Forced to buy in bulk.. No other option is available other than purchasing more than you plan to use. It’s basically a forced contract to spend a set amount. Really pretty shady business practice, but who can you complain to? If you want to use this service it comes with an unexpected commitment that unfortunately outweighs the benefits. Now you are stuck with time you’ve already paid for, but may never use.

Great product. These bikes are awesome! I tried one in LA and they are totally a different feeling from the other scooters. I feel much more in control and MUCH safer. I’d happily pay a little more for these than risking my life on a scooter. The JUMP bikes are cool, but they are sooo bulky! These are light, quick, and turn really well. Can't wait for wheels to come to more cities.
