After receiving an email from Essential Life …. It would have even better if the company had contacted me immediately after I reported being unable to login to my paid account but at least they finally recognized the inherent unfairness and I am once again able to access the account. I’m happy to be back and able to find healthy solutions to life’s little problems.

All information at your fingertips!. I’ve been using oils for a while and have your third edition of the book. When the app came out I could not resist and bought it right away! I’m a mom of two and use oils constantly especially for them. So often while traveling or on the go I was stuck because I didn’t want to lug my book. But now I’m never stuck! I just love this app!!!

Love it, but…. I love the ability to open this app from anywhere and read up on what I need at the moment. However, I REALLY want to be able to share about a particular tool or blend, etc. on social media or with a friend so they can read up on it. I don’t want to share the app, I want to share the info!

Recipes are nice. It’s nice to have recipes in one place. I can search by symptoms, by kids, or by oil. I was looking for a place to track my oils too, but all the apps that had the tracking didn’t have what I was looking for. When I searched this app, I found that it has a lot of recipes that don’t include premixed oils. I can also build my own recipes into the app as I become more experienced with EOs. I also found that I can just mark an oul as my favorite when I don’t have that oil or when I am running low. Then I use the favorites as my shopper list for when I am ready to make my next purchase.

So Happy !. All I can say is that this app has made it so convenient to find quick alternatives solutions to my families health and wellness ! Bug bite .. no problem ! Just enter Bug Bite on the search bar and watch the list of essential oils that can help and they always do! I also have the book that I love and for the app is quicker and easy to read’

This is great!!!!. I just love this app. I do have the Essential Life book, which I love as well,but this is a timesaver. I am able to look up oils, ailments, conditions within minutes. I am so excited over all the upgrades being added along the way. Thank you so much for providing such a wonderful app. It has made life in the oil world so much easier.

HUGE IMPROVEMENT!!!. I was so happy when I saw how beautiful and simple this app is! I had the previous version of this app and there was almost no information in the app. I paid $6 to get premium content and it was lacking a great deal of information. I have the fourth edition of the book and I don’t plan on getting the fifth edition anytime soon, so I am very glad that this is available to us at an affordable price! The only thing I would to further improve the app is to add a “Basic overview on how to use oils” within the app. I have a very supportive upline, but I didn’t get an app like this or the “essential life” book until about a year after I joined. I know they might not want to make it too dense, but I see the need of adding a section for beginners. Some people might want to remain paperless, so that is another thing to consider. Overall: GREAT APP!

Yay it’s back up and running!. I’m glad I took to reading the reviews here to find that if you had purchased this app before the glitches and crashing started happening, you simply need to delete it from your phone and then redownload. This is a great app full of information that you can take with you everywhere you go to not only help yourself but so many others as well. Thank you for the fixes!

Very helpful resource!. I love the Essential Life app as much as I love the Essential Life book! Both are very useful, at different times. For one-to-ones or needing to look up an oil or find a remedy on the fly, the app is fantastic. So convenient. For teaching a class, the book conveys authority and ease. I really appreciate how both the book and app are updated annually with new oils. Would love to have a way to gift the app to new oilers. Feedback on the book: please don’t made font sizes smaller; maintain quality and increase price as book length goes is. Don’t reduce font size as it lowers quality, makes it illegible. Design for readers over 40,

Fantastic. This app is great! It's so much more than I ever imagined. My only suggestions for improvement would be to include information about limited time oils as well as maybe create a very simple chat forum where oil users can converse directly with each other strictly to this app about oil information only. In real time.

Convenient Resources!. This essential oil app is wonderful! I love having the most up-to-date info accessible anywhere I have internet or cell service! I use oils on a daily basis. I love the textbook, the spiral book, and the many other resources from associated with the Essential Life. But my favourite things are that I don’t have to lug a book around, I can easily share solutions and uses, I know it will be automatically updated as new research is done and oils added, I don’t have to remember to pack one more thing when traveling, and I can save solutions. I have shared this with so many people because it’s so simple! And the price is remarkable for the amount of info and support I get!

Great app!. So much great information! I’ve been using Modern Essentials (book) as a oil reference, but this is so handy to have on my phone. I find myself going to this app again and again because it so convenient. Great feature to store your favorite oil blends and recipes and share them as well.

Handy EO App!. Super handy to have access to look up essential oil properties as well as look up ailments to see what oils may offer some support. My only issue is the search results are not always what I expect or there are no results for an oil I know is in the database and I haven’t figured out exactly what I’m doing wrong with my search. :-) Otherwise, I love having essential oil info at my fingertips!

Cannot access my app. I registered with the app on my phone and enjoyed it the first time I used it. However, the next time I tried using it I was told my (saved) password was incorrect. After several failed attempts at remembering my password, I clicked the button to reset it. I then switched to my email where I received a link to do so, but each time I try to access it, I get an error message indicating the page cannot be opened because the address is invalid. I’ve tried replying to the email with no response. I’m not really sure what to do now.

Waiting for the updates. I’ve loved this book and the app but am a little disappointed that the new book is out with the updated oils and is available for purchase but the app hasn’t been updated yet. Any info or feedback on when those updates will be complete?

Account Retreival. I purchased this app in Aug i believe a year ago and my sudcription is current until Aug 2023. After a phone update I’m unable to contact your company 3rd attempt regarding email acct. All my previous email sccts have been closed. I can not reset my password if my latest email now for several years if was not the one used won’t let me open change password without email. Please help!! I love this app and need help getting back into it PLRASE !!

Essential life is awesome!!!. Love this app and very easy to use! I find that I get so lost (lost meaning: there is so much good information) in the app that I lose track of time. It’s very educative. There are tons of recipes and Remedies to many problems. The information I am most interested in is Diabetes, Parkinson’s Disease, Anxiety, Sleep, PTSD, weight loss, curbing your appetite, and stress...and that is just some of topics you can read about. The only thing I wish there was an area to list what essential oils you have in your closet at home, to keep track of and know when you are running low, like other paid apps have. Other than that O love love love this app.

Best EO app I’ve ever used. In the last few years I have tried ten or fifteen different essential oil apps. Then I found the Essential Life. Right away I could see this app was easier to use and offered more tips and information! I kept a couple of the other EO apps thinking I might still need them, but after a week it was obvious that this was the best and only essential oil app I needed! I highly recommend Essential Life!😃

Absolutely can’t live without!. This app has been incredibly helpful. I am new to EOils and had no idea what to do with them. This app has such a variety of ways to search, it’s amazing! By oil, by ailment, by recipe. And I love that members can contribute their mixtures. I am an empath and seriously needed help protecting myself. I found an adrenal mixture that works wonders for me as well as several other combinations that soothe me. I love using rollers and found many mixtures to put in them so I am prepared for anything.

Love this app!. This is so helpful for on the go access to all the great content from the Essential Life book. This book is a favorite of mine and now I can take it anywhere, literally!! Plus, with the new rollout of the products customer support helped me update the app to include all the new content. Great support all around! Thanks again for making “life and health” so convenient.

Solid resource. The latest update really helped to put more tools at my fingers when visiting with people about essential oils. Lugging around a heavy book everywhere was difficult but having answers right at my fingertips is awesome. I appreciate being able to look up individual oils and see what they combine well with in helping people I’m presenting to. It has saved me multiple times and i couldn’t be happier. Thank you for the ability to have everything i need to have a meaningful conversation so seamlessly on my phone. It was a much needed app and it delivers.

No longer accessible to people who are blind. I’ve had this app for several years. My subscription recently renewed around the time of the latest changes and update. I can no longer use this app because I use a screen reader. I tried to contact the developer and that was not accessible either. The developer needs to let me know if they are going to make this app accessible again. otherwise, I will cancel my subscription. And I guess I’m just out my money for this year. Way to exclude those of us who can’t see.

Amazing app. I love this app, I love the ease of this app and the information is golden and well researched. I like also that hard to find items are also listed that you may not find another books . I use this constantly And highly recommend this for other essential oil users.

Super useful, but....keeps crashing!. I was new to this style of life and the app helped me because it has a lot of tips and valuable information on how to use each oil. I like that you can search by symptoms or by oils really easily. I got exited with the new update because my first language is spanish, so sometimes i had to google some word in order to fully understand the use of an oil. So I appreciated it the change. However, its really frustrating because it keeps crashing whenever i try to use it. Hope this can get fixed soon!

Awesome resource at your fingertips!. I started using dōterra a few years ago and was gifted the Essential Life hardback book. I LOVED it but it wasn’t convenient to carry around. I was so glad when this app became available! I use it almost daily! My favorite feature is the ability to save what you looked up. I run into the same issues over and over so now I can find my special concoction quickly.

Easy Oiling On The Go. Love this app! Whether I am at home or on the go, or need a quick solution to share with a client or potential customer .. I can count on accessing information quickly and easily with this app. The perfect solution when I’m without my Essential Life book or great to use as a companion. This app is also a great solution for those getting started with oils who are on a budget when they can’t grab a book just yet.

Amazing App. This app has many different ailments and many more oil combinations to treat each ailment. From the common cold, to natural deodorant, to flea and tick prevention for your pets, this App really helps them all. It is also user friendly! You can choose to scroll through a list of diagnoses and aliments or you can search your symptoms in the search bar. This app will provide you with directions and recipes to fix or “treat” whatever you may have.

Won’t let me login without paying. I really wanted to try this app but when i would try to sign up it would only let me sign up if i payed for a subscription which i didn’t want to do. Personally I cant afford a subscription so there’s no way that i can use it without one. In my opinion I think it seems like a rip off because in the app store it says it’s free when really you can’t even get in the app without paying. I think that you should make it so i can use it and if people want unlimited access to everything they can pay for a subscription. I’m very disappointed.

Easy Fix. I was so excited to learn about the app at Convention, and couldn’t wait to get it! I have been using it since Convention and LOVE the app! After the update, my app stopped working (like so many in the bad reviews here). I emailed the company and received a response the same day. I just had to delete the app and reinstall it! That’s all it took. Now I’m back in business and loving it still.

So helpful!. This is such a phenomenal tool. It is quick to access database full of helpful information. I have the books and the quick guides, but this is a great thing to have as well. Worth the money if you want to use oils to help in everyday life!

Best EO App by far!. This app has so many features and tools that I cannot believe and still learning as I use & share with others. I especially like the option where you may share the link as opposed to screenshot everything to send to my customers, friends and family. There’s also recipes shared by the community and also an option where you may share your personal recipes as well. I like the ease of the navigational tools and all the well presented & meticulously thought out layout of the health topic materials presented. It’s a must add to your device! Easy & conveniently accessible & prefer it over the book!

So useful!. I absolutely love this app. It’s very intuitive, provides TONS of info, and love the accessibility. The only functionality I wish it had that similar apps do, is where you can check off or mark all of the oils that you have create a wishlist of those you don’t. Then, it could suggest blends based on what you have. How cool would that be?!

My Fav Oil App. My favorite oil App and also my favorite Oil reference book. I use the app every day. It’s that useful. I got the fist handout from oil life when I went to the 10 year Sep 2018 DoTERRA Convention. After spending over $300 at their store somebody handed me a little card marketing this App and I was like FINALLY!! After getting the book - I had been looking for the App... I am a HUGE fan and I tell all my Oil pals about it 😊 love love love my Essential life

Love this book!. It is loaded with excellent information about the oils and it also remedies! I don’t know what I’d do without it. It was my first book when I decided to start using essential oils. I love that it explains essential oils from A to Z. I knew absolutely nothing about them when I started. I’ve used several remedies myself and also have requests for remedies from friends and family.

Quick guide. This app allows you to look things up quickly for your customers and potential customers and of course for yourself. I would recommend this app to oil lovers and I was just beginning to use oil’s to improve their health status.

Great app. This app is great. A bit of a rough road at the beginning, but once kinks were worked out, it’s been smooth sailing. Super convenient when my friends call me with questions. Open the app, and I have answers for almost everything.

Love this app!. I highly recommend it and I have the book too!! It’s worth the 4.99 a year!! Very conceive too for on hand and on the go references, as well as handy information that I can easily look up if I am buying and making blends, soaps cleaners etc!! I also love the easy and multiple go-to oil and applications for specific conditions or simple solutions naturally!

Pretty well set up but deceiving. It's a very professional looking app and definitely user friendly to navigate. My main concern is when it comes to the ailments. It suggests essential oils that help with health concerns but I realized all these suggestions were sent in by random people and not backed or monitored closely. Just know the suggestions on here are coming from a random person that might have no experience with what essential oils can actually do.

Amazing App!!!. I switched from another popular essential oil app (which I had used for several years) to Essential Life, about two months ago. I ❤️❤️❤️ this app. It’s so much easier to apply the recommendations, and the cross references (links) within the results screen are fabulous! I was able to “connect the dots” for why my iTOVI scan recommended certain oils and supplements; for the autoimmune category, for instance. I highly recommend the app.

Change to my review. Sometime last year I had not very good opinion of the app. But it seems like the developers have really done an about face and really made a good app and it seems to be getting better and better all the time thank you.

Must have!. This is an excellent resource for on-the-go, when I don’t have my book with me. It’s also updated regularly with the latest info, which I really love. A small price for SO much great info!!

Beautiful and full of info. I absolutely loved the Essential Living book since first opening it. It’s so beautifully visual and great information! I was so excited when they finally put out an app. Great essential oil information beautifully done just like the book! My all time favorite essential oil resources. Granted, this app had a rough start but now it is better than ever! So worth it!

Great App!. I am loving this app! I have the book but it is not always convenient to have it with you every second which is the beauty of this app :) It is just as informative and helpful whether you are trying to get info on a specific product or an ailment!

Useful!. Practical, simple and useful. This app has enough info for a free / cheap version and leaves room to buy the book if you want more in-depth resources. I have tried several recipe blends by searching for a particular ailment (sunburn, eczema, tension headaches etc.) and the suggestions are very helpful. I enjoy the app and will use it more as I grow in my knowledge and practice of using essential oils. :)

Best EVER!. I adore this app! I reference the book ALL the time to the point where I would bring it with me when I would go anywhere. Which gets hard since it’s a big ol dude. But now I can keep my book safe at home and still have all my essential oil knowledge right at my finger tips. It’s fantastic!

Beautiful App! Super easy to use! doTERRA names!. Just updated the app. More content has been added, and they’re adding more recipes. And the doTERRA names are in there! They’ve had some hiccups but their support emails have been pretty quick and they’ve answered all my questions, and hinted at more features to come. Love the book and now I’ve so much of the content on my phone.

Essential life app. The app itself is really good, I find it really useful and easy to navigate through. My only issue is that I have been overcharged twice, yearly. When I try to rectify this, I am asked to spend more time than the extra $7.99 is worth. I now have been charged, and have no access to my app, due to the fact that admin don’t really believe me and they say that the first ‘payment’ doesn’t actually come out, when it does, and I have no way to prove that google acc is from essential life. Not happy at all.

Not great for the last 12 months. There was a massive lapse in updating the new oils from 2021 global convention… then I finally get them and I can’t look anything up because it keeps shutting down whenever you try to do a search. Used to be an amazing app … now I’m not so sure

Terrible password retrieval system. Hi there, I accidentally got logged out from the app and even though I chose “remember password” option, it kept on saying that it is the wrong password. I then chose forgotten password for a link to be sent to my email to reset it, only for the link to go to an invalid webpage as it does not take me directly to the app (tried a few times). There is no support system here (email support etc) and this is the only way that I can contact you guys! Is there an email address that I can reach you guys on? And with someone who will actually be able to solve my issue?

Can’t actually access app. The app doesn’t work for me - I’ve paid for the subscription but every time I try to access the app, it just keeps looping me on the ‘pay for subscription’ page. If I hit ‘restore purchase’, it just loops me back to that page. If I try to pay again, it loops me back. Have emailed but not gotten a response, this seems the only way to give feedback…?? Have requested a refund… I know this app works for my friend so I’m not sure why it is glitching for me!

Free trial hoax?. Just downloaded this as a free trial for 7 days and app won’t open - “cannot connect to iTunes Store”. Isn’t it meant to be free access UNTIL the 7 days is up? Why can’t I even open the app to see what it has to offer?? And no problem with my connection to iTunes Store for anything else. Dodgy..

Not working. Hello, I have been using this app for years and all the sudden it will not open. I have updated, reset my phone and done other things as well. This is very disappointing. Specially in the times of need.

Keeps Shutting down. This app no longer opens on my phone. I have cancelled my subscription with 10 months left on it because of this. Please fix this. And if you do, I will resubscribe. But for now, I’m out.

Love this app. I downloaded this app when it was first available. There were a few glitches but it’s been revamped now. I love the fact that I can have The Essential Life with me all the time, without the inconvenience of carrying a large boom!😃 And also love that it will be updated regularly, instead of paying for a new book every year. I think it’s a much cheaper, more affordable & convenient option for me.

Thanks for the update, loving the new app update.... This app now has everything (almost) you need to learn about your doterra essential oils. It uses the doterra names (US version though, but that’s ok), lots of recipes for blends, including how to bake bread etc with oils and many more. Lots of ailments and the oils suggested are actually right and better than other apps I have with very few recommendations. Lots of cross referencing and great to carry on your phone or tablet for use whenever you need more oils info. This app really does give you at your fingertips: ‘I have an oil for that”. Would love to have added at a future date an inventory and wish list for re-ordering and landscape mode for iPads. Brilliant....thank you.

Best essential oil app on the planet.. I have purchased a few oil apps but this one is the best. It is so simple to use. I have the essential life book which I also love but the app is so convenient when you are out and about doing classes.

Love the book. Normally I’d give this app a 5 star rating, when it wants to work it’s fantastic. You look stuff up by searching the oil or the ailment, however their recent update has rendered it useless. If it opens at all, it freezes the screen so you can’t put your login information. You can’t do anything anymore.

EDIT: All good now! | Won’t open on my iPhone 11. EDIT: I have been reached by email to solve the issue (a simple delete- reboot- download the app again), and everything is back to normal now! Looks like a good app.... This looks like an app filled with very useful information, so I signed up for the trial to try it out before buying it. That was last week and I still haven’t been able to discover all that this app has to offer because when I try to login, it states my credentials are invalid. Have attempted to contact support a few times and have not received a reply. ImI finally unsubscribed so I won’t end up paying for an app that doesn’t work for me. I am extremely disappointed and wish I could give this app a zero star rating.

I think it’s the best available right now. ❤️ The content, the visual and the price. 🚫 No french version, it can’t be used to track inventory and the fact that you can only use the share feature with people that own the app.

It doesn’t work. I got the app and it worked well, however after the 7 days free and I started to pay for the app it stopped working. So it’s has been more than 10 days that I paid for the app but I can’t use it. I send email and no one answer. 😞

Update?. I downloaded the app and was very happy with it. Then it said it was updating and would be a subscription and those who purchased the app would have the first two years free. Just downloaded. I just downloaded the app tonight and was happy with it, until I went to correct a number on a recipe and the app shut down! The recipe wasn’t there as a draft when I was able to open it again, either. Tea tree oil is not in the drop down list on the recipes page, either. Could you perhaps put a suggestion button in the app so we can suggest changes or additions without having to come all the way back to the App Store?

Easy to use, full of info!. I open this app almost as often as Facebook! It’s full of info. You can search by oil, ailment, recipe, etc.. This app supplies you the top suggestions to help with your ailment, and how to use the oil. (Ingest, and how much, where to apply the oil...).

Pleased but having issues. The app is amazing but since the latest iOS update it won’t open. I just updated the app itself but still can’t get it to open. It’s been almost 2 weeks now and no change.

Unable to open app. I have had this app for many years and now for some reason, I am unable to open it. I’ve tried different things like uninstalling and reinstalling. When I touch on it, it briefly comes up and then disappears right away. Anyone else having this issue?

Great app but..... I would like the ability to use it on all devices. I purchased it on my iphone but when I tried to use it on my iPad it wanted me to pay again? Also I would like to see where you can mark which oils you have.

App no longer working. It was wonderful for the short time it lasted but unfortunately the app is no longer working for me. After clicking on the icon, it goes to the landing page then immediately kicks me out. I’ve rebooted my phone and deleted/re-added the app SEVERAL times to no avail. It’s very frustrating as I’ve paid for it and depend on it daily for personal and business usage. Please help!

Kinda disappointed 😕. I downloaded this app, only to find that I need to pay for a subscription to use it. If you are going to make it subscription required, might as well make the app a pay to use app. I’m 12 years old and just got into essential oils. I would like to find a free way to find out information, so that I don’t need to add on payments for an information app. So overall, not the app for you if you don’t want to pay.

Love it - just hate the crashing. I love this app & it is my go to! However it is been super frustrating that the app randomly crashes and won’t work unless you delete it and reinstall— please fix this to improve :)

Can’t live without it. I refer to this app almost everyday. I still use the large hard copy book, but this is great with the community updates and I also love the diffuser blends section. A great quick reference tool, wherever you are!

Finally working again. This app has been out of order for a little while but it is finally working again. I would give 5 stars, but they only get 4 because the support is not that great and they left me hanging for months.

I think I’ve tried them all.. This app had issues at the beginning but now that they are fixed and they are using the name OnGuard instead of protective blend it’s like the Modern Essentials app except better!

Crashes & Freezes. Just downloaded this app and was reviewing it if it was worth paying and it kept freezing on me several times. I also wanted to give feedback within the app and it froze on me. Waited patiently see if it unfreeze but did not. I eventually turned off my phone. When I went back to the app it did the same thing. I gave up. I am looking for something to support my clients and recommend to my downline. I don’t know if this worth $5.00.

Great Tool. I love my Essential Life book but it is so nice to have the app for quick answers. It’s also been a useful tool in sharing with people...I can give them answers to questions I don’t remember off the top of my head. I highly recommend.

Simply amazing. I recently just started using essential oils and this app has literally been a life saver!!! Anything I need to know is here. So easy to navigate through and most importantly I absolutely love how people can share different blends and recipes!

App never works. This app never works and it is very frustrating. I bought this app so that I wouldn’t have to carry my book everywhere and have the most up to date information. Now the app doesn’t work and I don’t have my book with me because I relied on the app. There needs to be some major updating because the app constantly shuts down anytime I click on anything in the app.

Not sure what’s going on. Need support. The app has always worked great. And now it just shows a homepage of sorts and I can’t get to any of the remedies. I can’t find any customer service area to get some help. please I hope somebody can help me. I pay for the app each year and I am in good standing.

I can’t even log in :(. I went to the Sign Up page and a notification said that my name and email were taken already. Then I went to the Login page and it said that my password was incorrect...so I reset it and when I got the email put in the new password in the app. I checked my email and saw that there was a Password Reset Confirmation, so I tried to do a login and received another notification saying that I didn’t have a valid subscription.

No longer crashes. If your still having issues opening the app...just delete it and re download it and it works great! Lots of new info

Indispensable. This app has saved me when I can’t quite remember something about an oil or what’s a good one to recommend. Helps me also to study up on the oils. When I can’t have my big essential oils book with me, this is always handy.

Such a handy app!. I love being able to readily check which EOs I have and their uses wherever I am. It’s come in handy many times. My only request is that you update the app to include new EOs, blends, and other supplements.

Very handy resource!. *EDIT* I haven’t been in the app for about 10 days. This morning when I tried to open the app, it opens for 2 seconds and then crashes. Little bit frustrated! We shall see how it performs for the next few days. I don’t always have a resource book with me, but I always have oils...and my phone. Very convenient to have a thorough and complete oil app always at my fingertips.
