The idea isn’t bad. The idea of the app is amazing it takes a different route than other apps if you don’t know one part you can definitely do the other for example if you know what The answer is you can spell or pronounce it either way you’re learning the best approach that you want it’s just the audio doesn’t work sometimes even though I delete the app and re-download it i’m a very audio person so this really doesn’t help with pronunciation but if they fixed his bug I’m sure it would be perfect app

Not good for advanced learners. So, I really wanted to test my speaking with this app, but whenever I communicated something more than what the AI was asking for it marked it as wrong! This might be good for beginners, but I wish that it could just place you at a certain level and let you speak to your heart’s content!! Also, I did not want to subscribe and the 2 lessons were kinda boring.

Very Good. I’m using this app so I can prepare for my Japanese Course. I’m a lil anxious and might be over thinking it, which is why. I downloaded this app. It is very helpful though I wish I could do more lessons , and not 2 a day. And well I can’t really pay for a subscription, I’m a teen sooooo, it is very helpful though

Observations and suggestions. This is a really great app. The best for language learning I’ve ever used. The only problem is that there is a bug/glitch where the app hears me correctly but doesn’t register what I said as being correct, even though it’s the exact thing it told me to say. They I have to close the app and leave it for a while then hope it works when I try again. It’s really random.

It’s good but... You see I learn only too lessons but then it told me to by a subscription I don’t really have money for that so I’d appreciate if you would just do it for free So I might just delete the app and go to a different one if it’s not gonna happen.

Try it. I love this so much you learn Japanese better and it’s fun writing you can learn Spanish but I wish you had more no just Japanese and Spanish I like doing Japanese so when I go to Tokyo or japan I will know how to speak the language

Voice problems. Not sure if it’s my phone or what but apparently this will not pick up my voice when I speak because it continually tells me to redo stuff because it will not pick up everything I say.

Great app. This is a great app, I’m stuck on the second tutorial and apparently it’s in a loop because I have a slight speech impediment. So saying “sayonara” is what gets me. Lol, I wish there was a way to do some kind of way to adjust speech recognition.

Good but there are some glitches. I use this app and LingoDeer together since it’s hard getting proper language practice with just one app. This app teaches you written Japanese which is not how it’s spoken. I don’t know if maybe this is noted later or not. I also noticed some answers it would not take even though it was correct. For example, it wanted me to say “私は田中です。” and I did but I wrote the name in hiragana. It kept telling me that sentence was wrong. This has happened more than once and is a bit annoying. Anyone who has been forced to use an online math program knows this pain. There are also times where it asks you to make a sentence like “私の父は____さいです。” and then do another one for a different family member. It then immediately says you are wrong because it wanted the father sentence again. If it doesn’t get fixed I will most likely delete the app.

Highly recommend!. I love this app so much because it covers everything you need to master japanese! It has lessons for vocabulary in different scenarios, and lessons for hiragana, katakana, and kanji!! For me, the app has never crashed! Yeah sometimes the audio processing lags a bit, but what app doesn’t have glitches every once in a while? Also, the customer service is great!!! I had a question, so i emailed it and someone replies within the hour! And an actual person! Not done programmed response. Sometimes having only 3 free lessons a day is slightly annoying, because whereas I understand that you can’t give unlimited lessons for free, it would be nice to have the flash cards unlimited or the lessons you’ve already completed. Overall very great for anyone starting to learn japanese.

So confused. I feel like must be missing something obvious but in my flash cards it says I have 160 “learning”, 96 “ready”, and 0 “mastered”. I’ve done these flash cards dozens of times now, and the numbers don’t change. How do I get those other 96? How do I “master” them? Otherwise I love the app so far. Sometimes I feel like the speaking exercises get too complex too quickly though. It would be cool if the flash cards had a speaking component where you just say the one word/phrase and it grades your pronunciation.

Great app but some things need to change. The app is great with all the interactive chats and writing but the only 3 lessons a day is unreasonable. I understand that you can’t just give away free lessons but it would be great if you can at least make the flash cards and the lessons you already did unlimited. It makes sense to make new lessons and writings limited to 3 times a day unless you purchase premium, but the flashcards and the already completed lessons should be unlimited. Please consider doing that for people will be more likely to keep the app

Needs fine tuning. I’ve been using this app (since I paid for it by accident and apple wont give me my money back) and it does need some work. In the Professions lesson, they ask you to reply “no or 家“ but when you reply with that, the answer is wrong and wants you to reply with yes. Also when adding -San to someone’s name like “Takahashi-San” it automatically replaces San with the number 3 making your answer automatically incorrect. It’s a cool idea, but the app needs some work...

Great Lessons... but kind of disappointing. I have been wanting to learn Japanese for a long time and this is the first app I have found that I actually like. The lessons are great and really improved my knowledge but it is disappointing you only have 1 lesson a day u less you pay. You shouldn’t have to pay to learn!

Pretty great. This app is great, really helps with pronouncing words. Wish it had other languages though. With how well it works with the languages it has now, hope if they ever add more, they will be just as good.

Kaizen review. I love this app so much!!! This app is really helpful with learning Japanese, it has made it way easier for me to mesmerize the katakana. I love how it can help you have normal conversations too!!

App needs some fixes. I am glad there are free lessons because this app needs some serious fixes before I would be willing to pay. Often the “teacher” will tell you a kanji word even though your settings are hiragana and there’s no way for you to know how to spell it. This needs to get fixed. Also MANY TIMES you will type the answer exactly correct and it will tell you that you are wrong and give a reason why that has nothing to do with what you said. Which is baffling. Basically the App concept is good. The execution is bad.

Good y to o practice with. It won’t move forward unless it understands you. This is good cause you perfect your pronunciation so that your AI understands you. Can you offer other languages? I would like Arabic.

Very inconsistent and the lessons don’t work.. Imma be straight to the point. I love the app, when it works it is the best app for learning Japanese out there. But…the lessons break a lot. I’m still working with Mizuki and the Nationalities lesson just won’t let me get past saying my own nationality. At first I thought I was spelling it wrong but it’s just not even accepting anything I put. Even when I put in the exact recommendation or when I type it in the romaji translation it still just asks me say it again.

Plz fix. App is great, just which the app mic can pick up exactly what I’m saying instead telling me too constantly repeat over and over and over again.

Only useful thing is flash cards. Trying to speak to this app is like trying to talk to a brick wall. It doesn’t even let you finish 99% of the time and tell you that you are wrong on a part you never even got to say. The 1% of the time it does let you finish it is so far off it isn’t helpful

Worthless without payment. The app advertises three free lessons a day but you actually only get two. In addition, the flash cards you “unlock” are also actually locked behind this restriction as well. The writing lessons also are locked. Basically all you can do for free is say 4 sentences a day, twice. If you want to make this a paid program, make it paid, but there’s no reason for it to be a subscription or for the free tier to be so limited - you may as well not have one.

Good. So far I think this app can help a lot, but I don’t want to subscribe, at least not now. It would be better if I could do more stuff without paying, or at least get a better feel if I can learn a lot from this app

Quizzes unresponsive to touch screen. Great app, I enjoy being able to practice speaking Japanese. I payed for the year to use the app. For some reason the quiz function doesn’t respond to to touch screen. When I try to select an answer (any answer) it does nothing and I can’t continue. The option to practice writing works fine.

Just ok. I’m not particularly fond of the way the app functions, the lessons are the same each time but the Flashcards are totally different. It’s feels very rigid with the speaking because you can only respond with a certain set of answers. It’s a GREAT idea but for me it needs some buffing.

Great, with some bugs. I’m using this in conjunction with Pimsleur, Duolingo, and Tae Kim. I love the learning features of this app, especially for learning to text quickly. It’s great for reading/writing skill building. My one complaint is that my progress streak always shows one day, even though I’ve used it daily for a while.

Needs work.... I made an account today, and after two lessons you have to pay to continue learning. I have tried to figure out how to delete my account, and it is not clear on how to do so. I checked their website and it says to “Navigate to the Settings/Account Page in the app. And scroll to the bottom and select delete.” I have tried to do this, but the problem is that there is no button to delete the account. So I’m wondering how to delete my account.

I finished the lessons now what?. I finished all the lessons and I wanted to review the Flashcards. You only can do 10 at a time and often they repeat the same 10 over and over. Will you ever allow users to control how many flash cards they view at one time? That would definitely help with the longevity of the app.

Great app. I like the fact that it reviews your speech and gives you suggestions on how you should say it ,it’s been really helpful and I feel like I’m learning quicker

Super fun and innovative. Super fun and easy and I have to admit it works because most apps don’t make you feel like your in an actual conversation so it gives it an edge that helps you in a different context.

It's Okay- Needs a Support Option. I use this app in addition to several others, Kaizen is probably my least favorite. You have to pay to really do anything in the app which is fine if you're serious about learning, but the further you get in the lessons the more I've seen typos from incorrect words, genders, spellings & even the app marking things as incorrect that are not. It would be better if there was a way to "report" such as Duolingo has when you come across errors within the app. I can only imagine how many people have seen these errors and taken them to be true. One lesson I saw どけい being translated as clock when it is in fact とけい. When using the word "father" the speakers constantly referred to father as "she" among other errors. Lastly, the hints/suggestions it gives you for responses are very restrictive and leave little room for you to practice outside of exactly what they want you to write. The app is definitely helpful for learning but I wouldn't use it as my only method for learning Japanese. Bunpo is great for people looking for something other than Kaizen to learn.

Too many flaws!. Correct answers, including sentences from the suggestions, are frequently randomly marked as wrong, often causing loops that make lessons unfinishable. Lessons sometimes hang, forcing you to restart them. While some activities give you some word choices (such as different colours and names), others only allow you to say a very specific sentence (e.g. 'I hate dancing' or 'I don't like singing') which may be very different than how you actually feel about the topic. In some activities, the app marks gramatically correct first-person Spanish sentences as wrong when you omit 'Yo.' The English translations of both Spanish and Japanese phrases also have several misspellings and sometimes wrong grammar. The streak randomly goes down to 0 even when you meet your daily goal the previous day. The customer service takes too long to respond, sometimes forgetting to do so altogether. I have sent feedback regarding the streak problems and the team has kindly but unsuccessfully attempted to fix my streak three times. I do not recommend this app for learning Spanish and/or Japanese.

Please fix this. Everytime I do the exercises on this app it’ll say I’ve completed 17% of it, but for some reason it’s been stuck on 16% for days. I didn’t mind it at first, but now it’s starting to get a bit annoying. It will keep on making me redo stuff I’ve already learned, and it doesn’t move me forward within the exercise. Please do something about this.

Keeps crashing mid lesson. I’ve bought the yearly pass. I was excited to reintroduce myself back into learning Japanese again. But it keeps crashing. I will make a written log soon. I really hope this can be fixed because I love the style this is done in. It is rejoicing my mind a lot and understands my dialect really well. Good luck programmers for our sake as much as yours.

Voice recognition is terrible. Great promise, but the voice recognition doesn’t work very well at all- often you will say exactly the phrase it wants, but it’ll just say ‘repeat please.’ No matter what you do- I can’t read kanji yet so I’ll bet it’s not hearing what I’m saying correctly despite the fact that I know my pronunciation is good.

Great app but voice. This is is great for those that need a spanish tutor on call. But the voice recognition can be dreadful at times! Even when they record you accurately the AI still doesn’t understand and you can’t move pass it.

My answers are marked wrong when they are correct. They will say I have a wrong answer when it is obviously correct. For example, I would write a sentence in Japanese and they said it was wrong because The sentence wasn’t supposed to be in a question form with ‘ka’ at the end of the sentence. But, I did not have a ‘ka’ at the end of the sentence. There were a few other things they marked me wrong and I was in fact correct.

Love it. I am planning on being a transfer student in about two years and may I just say this app has already helped me so much in learning Japanese I have tried other apps and they just could not fit my learning style but this gets a 10/10

Corrections and keyboard issues mar interesting app. Corrections often correct the wrong part of a wrong answer, telling you that you got something wrong that you didn’t and not noticing the actual error. Also, there way it handles submitting answers makes it impossible to use a hardware keyboard. There is no submit button unless you have the onscreen keyboard.

This thing speaks nonsense “Japanese” and can’t understand konnichiwa. On the very first lesson, it wants me to say konnichiwa. I do I say it right. It doesn’t understand me. It asked me to repeat. So I gave the thing to my native Japanese speaking wife and it couldn’t understand her either. So we couldn’t get past that at all. I’m glad it was free. really the Japanese that it says or writes is complete babble. If the developers want to contact me or respond, so I know I’d be happy to entertain any suggestion and update my review and rating accordingly if necessary. Otherwise it’s getting deleted.

Great, not what I needed though. I really love this way of learning, however, I saw this app on an ad and it said to be able to learn all kinds of languages. I wanted to use this app to learn Korean but that isn’t an option. Sadly you cannot change what language you want to learn :(. Still really good app, but I am no longer learning Japanese

Great, but needs more content. So far I really like the app. I’ve tried a few language apps and I like the fact that this one allows the learner to interact with the AI bot and corrects your pronunciation. So far I only see 50 lessons (each lesson is pretty short) and only 1 language. I think this app would be a lot more powerful with more lessons and languages added.

Great, for the most part.. I really like this app because I don’t have a lot of opportunities to practice speaking Japanese. After answering a couple questions at the start I was placed at Level 2, and understood the first conversation prompt fine, but was prompted to introduce myself with my name. My name is Sam, but it comes across as さん, which gives an error because you shouldn’t use honorifics for yourself, or it comes across as さん like the number 3, and saying さむ turns into the kanji 寒, meaning cold. It kind of defeats the point of the app if I have to type in order to input my name. Edit: after testing typing in variations of サン and サム, those don’t work either. It’s frustrating that it’s very limited, the only option being the name Jon. It’d make more sense having some options to pick from when you first download the app or an option to add your name in katakana so that the app recognizes it.

Good concept. I like the concept but there are more simpler ways to say things. Like to say what country are you from, it gives a really long phrase when you can just say, “kuni wa”, or “Doko Kara desu ka.” Also it has only phone support which means it is really small on an ipad and u can’t use it horizontally. However I do like this concept. Also I just realized, that this uses written Japanese. For example it says “watashi ha,” that is how you are supposed to write it but to say it, you’re suppose to say “watashi wa.”

Non functional product. Worked wonderfully until I subscribed then suddenly even though it correctly types what I say in the text box as I say it the instructor never understands what I’m saying. I have taken years of classes I am positive this is the programs fault especially given it writes what I say correctly then fails me. Update mizuke inoue 10/12 says please ask to buy this item. When you answer it corrects you and says try asking how much the item is. When you answer it shows the original question about purchasing. What is the answer you’re looking for here?

Amazing app🤩. This is a very good app, it has amazingly surprised me how awesome this app is. This app is not like any other, and its nothing compared to Dalingo. That is because Kaizen some how makes things way more memorable, based off the voices. That may not make any sense, but I do highly recommend this app to learn different language. So far I have started Japanese and it’s starting off great!!😮‍💨

Great, when it works. Approachable, helpful lessons that generally are pretty cumulative and well designed. Unfortunately it’s extremely glitchy and crashes constantly, gets stuck in loops, the audio processing will say you’re wrong even if you pronounce things perfectly (I once recorded the set phrase being said by the app and played it back to it and it said it was wrong!), will give corrections and suggestions for other parts of other conversations or dialogue options, or won’t show the vocab word options so you have to use a separate app/program to look up or translate things ready. I have been learning from it, but the level of technical dysfunction is crazy for a paid subscription service no matter how good the actual content is so I’ll likely be unsubscribing after this first month. The lessons are absolutely worth the $8 a month, but only if they work!

What I think about the app Kaizen.. This ad is very useful if you need help with Japanese! this is the right app to get! If you mess up on pronouncing something it tells you what you did wrong and how to pronounce it.

It’s okay but could’ve improved. It’s good for a first time use, until you find out that you have to pay to learn a language. Right now I’m trying to learn Japanese bad Korean, but sadly Korean is not in the list of things you can learn on this app. It’s complicated to have to pay for something like educational things and to be honest it’s kinda upsetting that I need to pay to learn a new language. I’m not saying that you should download this app but just know that you have to pay 7.99 monthly just to learn something new. You most likely would be better off using Duolingo if you can’t afford to pay monthly

Really learn to speak and listen. The beautiful thing about Kaizen is it forces you into conversation immediately but holds your hand the whole way. And self study blocks are built right into the app as well.

Engaging and educational. As someone who’s always wanted to learn Japanese but hasn’t had the time, this in uni holidays has been really helpful to scratch that language itch!

You have to pay for more lessons. It was awesome until you had to subscribe, ugh annoying

Romaji. Presently learning Japanese from home, I avoid romaji like the plague when studying this language. I note the instruction boxes contain Japanese words typed in romaji at each level. This app is an excellent innovation for learning Japanese. If the words typed in romaji were replaced with kana and kanji at the more advanced levels I believe this app would be more user friendly for students of the language who don't use romaji.

Great app and easy to learn but one problem. This is a great app and I really like it, But my only problem is that there’s no place where I can see all the words I’ve learnt, and go over them by them selves without redoing the lesson that I learnt them in. It’s a great app but if I could see all the words I’ve learnt and study them by them selves to remember them then I would rate this app a 5 otherwise it’s really good and I would recommend downloading it :)

Definitely needs some adjustments. It’s an amazing idea and almost could be a 5 star app but unfortunately it has terrible voice recognition (5年間日本語を勉強しました。) and plenty of errors within the written responses and with no way of flagging any of the errors I think it would be hard for the developers to amend these issues.

Has potential. Had this app for about four days now, using the free version, but I’ve been enjoying it thoroughly until today all audio files has mysteriously stopped working. Also in Mizuki lesson 5 it looped and a bit bugged out. I was told the response I repeated and then it said It was wrong and changed the response so I repeated the new suggestions and it was ok? But it did that for the next question too. Also froze when I open the ‘type’ keyboard. Was thinking about buying it but if there is bugs in the free version then I’m sure there are more. Hope the audio can be fix. Thanks

It’s a little hard to pronounce the words 😂 but it’s a great game to learn. Its a great game

Good app to learn language. Recommended by my daughter and I love it

Writing response. I love the app so much, it’s been a dream for me to learn Japanese. I’m up to lesson two of seven with Satoshi Kobayashi the Chef, but when replying and asking if he listens to Japanese music as well, it reads my answer as wrong even though I typed it out exactly as it showed.

Bug?. I’ve been using kaizen for a few weeks on the free version and I’ve been enjoying it with no problems. That was until I got to lesson 2 of level 2 with koboyashi. It asked me to write what scripts I can write with and I answered by he kept repeating “could you say that one more time” every time I answered even though it was correct?? Please fix this

No. Terrible way of learning, forces you to speak one way and limits you from being creative in your speech. It also just pretends that plain form doesn’t exist aswell as verb and adjective conjugations

One of the better apps out there. I like the fact that you can speak to it in Japanese and it recognises whether you responded correctly or not. Great way to practice speaking in a safe environment. Definitely Recommend.

Happy. Just bought the app, its wonderful and i love yhe voice feature. Def recomend it

Purchases. I felt like it was looking like a great app until I realised the free section is extremely limited and if you want to pay it’s not a set rate you have to pay a monthly fee which I find expensive for what it is. Netflix is cheaper. Also one of the conversations lept going around in circles.

Review. It is a pretty good app. This app will help you learn Japanese and after some time you will be able to speak fluently.

Hello. This app is very good it shows you little explanation wile doing a speech test explaining how and what you need to do I would recommend this to everyone and anyone enthusiastic about learning Japanese.

Bad. Bro none of it’s right it spells everything wrong like how konnichiwa is for some reason spelt konnichiha dumb

It’s fun to Learn Japanese. With this app, I can learn Japanese by hearing the conversation and also typing the haragana. It’s great!

a bit limited. good for beginners but its a bit annoying how grammatically correct/natural answers get marked wrong because its not the prescribed answer. the AI could probably be a bit better.

Some changes. Would be better if we can open past lessons without doing the whole lesson again.

so good but needs some ironing out. the speech-first language learning really sets this app apart. all the other flashcard-based ones leave me stuttering when i try to actually go and speak the language. i think this is truly the future of language learning. however, it’s fairly easy to accidentally trip up the AI tutors and they’ll get stuck repeating the same phrase, or skip to a different part of the conversation. if/when this is fixed i’m sold, forever. :-)

pay to learn. Hey! I think this app is a waste of time. You only get 2 free lessons and then you have to pay to continue learning. The way they teach is very helpful but you can’t even learn if you don’t have a lot of money and/or cannot afford it.

Good. I think this app is great because to learn a new language is to use it. And this app allows you to have conversations in Japanese. However my one and only complaint it’s that there is no hiragana for me to read of of in the responses your supposed to give.

This AI is trash. The idea is nice, but chatting with someone that actually knows Japanese is at least 10x better if not 20.

I love it. It’s wonderful

Found an error. I think the app is pretty great as is, but it can still be a lot better. The conversations can feel a bit robotic/fake which doesn’t help, and I don’t feel it is extremely useful for those who already know some Japanese. Also, when I sent my invite code to a friend, they said that it did not work for them, which I find a bit unfair.

Sort of good. Good if you’re learning from scratch. Frustrating if you already know some Japanese. For example, I can’t use 貴方 because the app expects あなた, and I can’t say そうです because the app expects me to repeat the whole statement. It would be better to just be able to reply whatever is grammatically correct, in my opinion.

Cool. I learned some japanese words 🌸✨😃

Numerous bugs. App frequently gets stuck in an endless loop forcing you repeat the same sentence (correctly) until you get fed up and close the app to restart the lesson. Then magically it works! Many, many spelling and punctuation mistakes, instructions missing words, instructions saying a different thing than is typed.

Hello. It relates what it says it is a bit weird tho like how I can’t type words I don’t understand but like she keeps teaching me the same stuff thank you

Amazing!!. I highly recommend. Definitely improved since the last reviews

Lesson 4. There’s is a problem whit lesson 4 in Japanese when I say where I comme from she tells me she does not know what I’m saying even if I said it properly. I also tried with a recording of her she dose not let up and say that she does not understand please fix this problem. Thank you

:|. i learned nothing new.

app. i love this app but one improvement you could make is being able to look back on our lessons that we have previously done without having to use a free lesson

The creator did an amazing job. The app is actually really good

Ehh. my name (Bug) doesnt even register as a name when sending a text 😐

The best app ever. Tysm for creating this my friend is a jaappanees girl

potential. its blocked by a paywall when this is explicitly a free app, it offers nothing thats better than duolingo

It’s great!. I really love the speaking feature, really helps with proper pronunciation 👍🏽

No thanks.... I prefer japanesepod101.com. it's completely free to sign up for, and it goes way more in-depth than this. i finished the first two conversations in this app in five minutes... not good at all :/ it felt more as if i were just repeating the bot rather than actually having a conversation, and it would be more useful if it was written in hiragana rather than romanji, because not a lot of people write in romanji.... really not good at all.....

DONT DOWNLOAD. THIS IS WAY TOO HARD!!! I am saying the right words but it says I am doing it wrong!!! DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!!!!!

Amazing. Im gonna watch anime with no subtitles

Review for this app. So far I’m only on the first two lessons but I quite enjoy this app it’s much more useful then duolingo because it tests me on pronunciation and spelling I recommend you advertise this to people who watch anime because that’s more of a target demographic if you ask me It’s a great app 4.5/5 for me!

AWFUL DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. I downloaded it to continue with my training, since I follow classes at university. It is a complete waste of time. The app doesn’t understand you and even corrects you when your sentence is right. Plus everything is so random! I don’t recommend it at all.

easy. i found this app while I was watching youtube so I downloaded it and learnt a few words! this is nice but I wish it was more of a realistic conversation!

So far so good. Just learning the basics but I’ll keep practicing

Overall great but I found an error. This app tests you in ways other apps don’t. I enjoy it a lot. You have to pay for unlimited access though. This is to the developers. Please fix the hiragana writing lesson for ki. It does not draw the right symbol and it’s making you draw it incomplete. Hopefully you fix this soon.

😎. This app is awesome ❤️so easy to use

Français. En français ça serait bien

Love it. This is absolutely perfect, exactly the language learning approach I was looking for, but please make it possible to turn kanji on or off. I chose “I don’t know kanji” at the beginning by mistake and can’t change it, so I’m stuck having conversations in hiragana, making no progress in learning kanji Edit: nevermind!!! There was a button for it right in the chat, I’m stupid.

Great!. I absolutely love this app! I’m actually learning! There was a small issue where I lost a 60+ day streak despite having done my lessons the day before and still having my streak at the time, but it’s okay I guess. Also, it would be nice if the character writing exercise took into account the fact that remembering exactly where the lines were is pretty difficult. Remembering the character is fairly easy, but it gets counted as wrong if you don’t draw the lines exactly where they were in the example. That’s pretty hard to do on a phone… but other than that, I have no complaints! It’s a great app for learning!

It’s okay. It’s good but for me it has a flaw that frustrates me a lot. Sometime it’ll tell me I’m wrong and make me go back a few replies back. It’s super frustrating because I have to repeat the same phrases again when I already got them right. It’s very frustrating

Great but could improve :). I really love this app! It helped me learn a lot more Japanese but, my one problem is that I am only limited to 3 lessons for free. I appreciate it but what would give Kaizen 5 stars is more lessons without having to buy premium. Thank you for reading :)

Can you make all lessons free?. The app was good for the first 3 lessons, but then it asked me to subscribe. However I am hesitant to because I have no idea if I’ll have to pay and I really don’t want to.

Amazing. This app is amazing for pronunciation and reading. But the captions should not only have what you have to say in Japanese, but also the sound you have to make in English letters.

decent enough. some of the english translations are wrong. because of this, i’m not sure how much i trust it. also, it doesn’t go over vocabulary enough for one to remember it. however, it does help with grammar and conversational skills

Nice Idea, don’t like the prices.. I really like this app and how it is used, but i wish more lessons were available for free instead of only 2.

best update ever. before you could only do one lesson and you had to pay for the rest, which really upsetted me since i was looking for an app that could help me practice my japanese. i decided to try this app again and i realized that you can do 3 lessons a day for free. i was ecstatic. best update ever

Mistake. I really dont understand how this app has this many stars, within the first lesson it told me i mis-spelled a word in hiragana (but i was using kanji, and it was correct.) A sentence later marked my answer as incorrect because I used a different verb form from what they expected, when it was a more accurate sentence. Impossible to know how it wants you to respond exactly, so impossible to learn with. Instantly deleted.

New and loving it. I’ve only had the app for about 10 minutes and I’m already speaking in Japanese this is a pretty cool app

Actual good app to learn a language.. I thought this would be one of those crappy apps but it is actually an amazing app teaching me Japanese. Love it!

Review. If I didn’t have to at to learn on this app then I would give it more stars,I do believe it’s a good app to learn a language

It’s buggy. It won’t let you pass on to the next level . It will repeat I don’t understand

I love it. Ie been studying for at least a month and I’ve been learning a lot. I have a Japanese friends and I have full on conversations in Japanese... I recommend it soooo much

Doesn’t hear me. When I am learning how to say words sometimes it doesn’t even pick it up and I get it wrong

This app is great!. It is really helping me with my fluency in Japanese. And on top of that I really Anjou using this app. I highly recommend downloading

I love this app. This app is amazing, I love to learn Japanese and I want to get better at it because I wish to go to japan one day and explore its wonders. My first objective there will be laying under their famous cherry blossom tress.

This helps a lot I want to learn this because anime☺️ so this helps a lot. Best app ever😃😀

Useless. For some reason the app doesn’t recognize the word daigakuinsei (grad student) and kept trying to make me ask if the chef was a student or say I was a student. When I asked a question it told me to say goodbye. Not helpful at all. Find an actual language exchange partner.

Learning Japanese. i am very excited to learn this language and so far the app is helpful

Wow. It’s very good I can’t believe I can even learn this much in one day ! I am very pleased

Path to Japanese. I actually really like this app. It forces me to actually speak Japanese and I think that’s really cool and is an easier way to learning Japanese. Now all you have to do is stay consistent.

I love it. I’m really getting better at Japanese this is a great app if your want to go to Japan

Fun!. I’m really enjoying this app. Tried to learn Japanese numerous times but was let down by the complexity of other learning programs. This app is very informative and fun!

Effective for me. I don’t need gamification. I prefer clear instruction and useful content. I am getting it with this app.

Seems very good from what I’ve tried. But can you add more languages? I’m currently learning Korean and I feel like it would be a great addition to the app.

THIS APP IS AMAZING. I only started using this app for two minutes and it’s already amazing!!!

Great but. Scammed a day from me, my next lesson was next but it restarted and now I have to wait another day..

Good Concept. It’s a good concept, however you can’t even get through the Introduction Lesson (Lesson 2) As soon as you get to the 3rd response the Ai fails to understand even if you type is out (はい、げんきです/はい、元気です or hai, genki desu) No other variation has worked either, the Ai just asking you to repeat yourself endlessly, or saying it doesn’t understand

👍. I just started out on this app and at first it was a bit confusing but once you try it it’s not that bad 👍

good app but…. it’s a great japanese learning app but i think the voice thing is broken because I can’t barely get a single sentence out without it stopping itself

Never opens!. The app has been loading for over 30 minutes! I have deleted and downloaded the app several times, but I have never been able to get past the loading stage.

🥴. I can’t even sign into the app ,because when I try to type my name ,email ,and stuff the keyboard won’t even go back down so I can press the sign in button

This is good. My friends speak Spanish so I give this a 5⭐️ because I can learn how to speak Spanish

This app has incorrect information. As I was learning some Japanese on this app, I noticed that most of the words that they were teaching had the incorrect Meaning, such as it said the word “こにちは” or “hello/hi/hey” was not hello or hi but instead it said Taht it meant good afternoon. I just hope that you get the correct meanings and are not teaching people the wrong things :)

My review. Very helpful and easy to learn new languages

The best app ever ❤️❤️❤️. This app is really really awesome. I really know Japanese from this app. Thank you so much for whoever made this app. Next time can you do Korean? I love this app 200%

Best app I’ve used so far. I’m 11 and I’m trying to learn Japanese my mom got me a iPad and I downloaded this app on it and it’s working really good for me

Cool app. I like this app but wish it gave a little more instruction on how to practice - should I be repeating the conversation drills? Also, I wish the audio for the flash cards would play automatically instead of having to manually hit the play button.

Best app I used. The AI is great to work with and the app really makes it easier to learn

It’s cool. It’s really cool and helpful, it corrects you when u say something wrong and helps you pronounce things

Great but one issue. The app is great. It really does help learning but I don’t like how I can’t view the flash cards or do anything after finishing my two free lessons. I’m trying to learn Japanese, not waste money.

Slightly Annoyed. I enjoy the speech practice but I don’t like that while I’m still trying to get my words out, I get cut off and have to repeat things 20 times.

Taught taught me how to write and speak Japanese. This is a very good app for beginners I love it and keep up the good work five stars

Isue. Hi!! I am having a issue I’m spelling something correctly and it is saying I didn’t and saying I added a [?] at the end which I didn’t and it is saying to take it away when it isn’t there

It’s Good But I Don’t Like How Everything Has To Be Paid For. I recently just got the app today and I’ve been enjoying a lot! I’ve been

Uninteresting conversations. I used the free version of this app and the conversations are so boring. I’m not sure if you upgrade or they are any better. Petty much I would be asked a yes or no answer but was only allowed to answer one way or I was not able to move forward.

Flexible. I feel like I’m writing this review to early but this app works

This App Is Great For Weebs 🌸🌸. So I love how it corrects your voice👏 It amazing how you also have flash cards to practice everything you learn from that lesson💯

Easy to learn from. Overall using this app I has a very unique way to teach and the experience is great

So many problems. Great idea and a lot of potential. Just subscribed and there have been so many technical problems on my first day. Probably won’t be renewing.

Amazing. This app is perfect for learning at home or on the go download it if you really want to learn another language

Lol. I mean yea the two free lessons were nice but the rest you must pay for, and unfortunately as a college student with other expenses and not that much money, that’s just not an option for me. I guess I’ll have to just stick with the book I got.
