5 Star Scrabble Dictionary. I do not play Scrabble without this app!

Word checker. Very helpful to have for scrabble games except that when the app was updated I had to delete and reinstall it.

Scrabble. Our family members enjoy playing Scrabble, and this app. Is very helpful.

Fake “iPhone is full” alert. Ugh, it switches to fake notifications — “iPhone is full”, “Device will not work”. Ads that are pretending to be an alert. Regular ads would be ok, but this is deceptive spam.

Love it. I’m an amateur. I played first time with my son. He’s good and to my amazement he used all this words that looked weird. But using an app he showed they were allowed. So, I got this app and I’m practicing solo and next time thanks to this application I’ll be ready to show something.

Not Impressed. This dictionary is not helpful when questioning a word played by the computer. Of course the word is allowed because the computer has access to this dictionary, but when a one word definition is provided to a really questionable word, it is often not an adequate or clear definition and the player has no further recourse in the game except to leave the game or to continue playing.

Scrabble word check. No funny stuff. Just yes or no— and a brief definition.

Fantastic. My wife and I absolutely love this app! We had been using different sources to determine if a word was acceptable in scrabble. This was not only time consuming, but frustrating when one of us came up with an acceptable word and the other one didn’t. This app is so much faster and easier to use!

Confused - But no longer!. THANKS! I changed rating. It was not obvious to select a list. Maybe it should say “Word List Selected”. Other suggestions: Can the cursor automatically move to typing area and keyboard pop-up once “Checker” tab is selected? If not then typing area lower on screen. Original posted review. What list is used to determine if a word is allowed? The description says it includes Collins (UK & international) and Tournament (US, Canada, Israel, Thailand)? There doesn’t appear to be differentiation in determining if a word is allowed. Both lists appear to be used to determine if a word is allowed. This makes no sense! I live in the US. Why would I want to use a word list that is not used in the US?.

Grandma. My mother loves this app, when she makes up a word and checks it and is approved she gets so excited 😆 and I like using it to.

Retired!. This app is great and we use it with the grandchildren to check for words without challenging. They are learning!

Very up to date dictionary. I was pleasantly surprised to find a word I was looking for, enuf. It was not in my Mom's old collins hardcover 2005 Scrabble dictionary. It was in this app though. Works beautifully. You can even pick your preferred dictionary.

Great App. This is so much easier than having to look up every word in a dictionary. Plus this way I can prove that my words are legitimate much easier. #imlovingit

Collins Dictionary Trumps This App 😡. I must revise my poor review after the developer immediately contacted and educated me that various dictionaries can be chosen in the settings of the app. I haven’t used the new family agreed upon dictionary, but I certainly appreciate the developer’s attention and polite direction after my original negative review. Original review: I lost a lot of points because a word not accepted in this app was accepted in the Collins Dictionary which is the official dictionary of Scrabble tournaments

Scrabble word checker. I think it’s a very good app. When I play scrabble with my family it’s a big help. Since my vocabulary is a little small, it helps with definitions.

Works well but could be better. The only issue I have is when you tap the “X” at the right of the screen to delete the word you checked, It doesn’t always erase it. So then you have to hit delete on your keyboard a few times depending on how long the word is, to erase it. I hope they fix this issue

Word Check checks words. I go here to verify the words are good. I wish it would give suggestions if a word is wrong.

Mik. I play different word games and I need to check words fast and word checker finds my words fast.

Worth getting. This app does what it is supposed to do simply and elegantly

No Cheating!. This solves so many issues. All in the touch of entering the letters...NO ONE PERSON GETS TGE LAST WORD OR FINAL SAY. This app rocks.

Effective but rough. The app does what it claims but leaves a lot of roughness around the edges: 1. There’s no back button in the top left or ability to swipe to go back after setting the word list or online dictionary 2. The Return key has no function looking up a word. I’m forced to press CHECK, which is inefficient. 3. When the cursor is in the text field, there’s no way to hide the keyboard to, for example, switch to the timer. Maybe let me tap the empty space outside the keyboard to do so. 4. The app would look cleaner with only three primary screens: Checker, Timer, Settings. Credits should be a subsection of Settings. Share should be moved to the Settings screen, too, and should use the standard Share glyph. 5. It’s odd that there’s a whole screen dedicated to advertising your other apps. Can you instead put a link in the Credits that goes to your developer page on the App Store?

Good…but. It is a really good resource, and improves as time goes on. However, one really obnoxious and terrible oversight is the suggestions feature. A similar word or words pop up when you are checking. You don’t want a word cheat! Or at least the makers could provide the ability to disable suggestions in the settings. Otherwise, you really can’t allow it in game play!

Very confusing.. What language is this in? Since when are slang and nicknames allowed ? Not the dictionary I grew up with. Please allow the option of a normal Webster Dictionary

Anything is a word if your the computer player. This app is ridiculous. It validates words with no definition or it allows plural by adding a z instead of an s. BUT only if you’re the computer player. If I try it never once has it approve my word. Limit it to dictionary words and cut the crap. Wait, it gets better. I just tried the word “caff” and it allowed it defining it as “caf”. When I tried “caf” it said it was not allowed. This sight is worthless!

Needs to be synchronized w Scrabble. This app used to be helpful to me when playing Scrabble. It is now disappointing, as there are many Scrabble words that this app says aren’t words.

Word Checker. It is a great app for scrabble enthusiests. My wife & i love scrabble, particularly when camping. We also enjoy doing a 9 letter puzzle published 6 days a week in the Sydney Morning Herald. We have a policy as we compete for who makes the most words & especially any words with 9 letters & will accept each other’s words if they are approved scrabble words. The app is fantastic for us.

Mrs Chernich. This is the weirdest dictionary I have played scrabble with. It allows short words and Knick names but doesn’t include Greek or Roman gods and other things that most scrabble dictionaries do. I am finding very frustrating and annoying.

Recommend. My wife and I, long time Scrabble players, were completely turned off by the new official ‘Scrabble Go’ app, while the complementary Collins Scrabble word checker seemed no longer supported. We went back playing with the physical Scrabble set. Have found this ‘Word Checker’ app most suitable for our needs, set to the latest UK/International Collins Word List, and paid for the ad-free version. It’s very fast and easy to use. Recommend.

Great but one thing. It’s the best app for scrabble. But we should be able to play online scrabble and then I would give it a five star review

Word checker. My husband and I have been playing Scrabble almost 50 years. We were disappointed when the Scrabble app was no longer compatible. The Word Checker, although quicker than looking up the Collins dictionary, does not have the full compliment of words contained in the previous Scrabble app. Neither does it have new words made recently allowable.
