It’s okay not what I was hoping for. I got this from my daughters car so I could monitor her speed and get notifications every time she goes somewhere. It does not show me how much gas is in the car and it does not send me any notifications. I randomly just have to check it to see if she’s on the road. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with customer service trying to figure out what’s going on and there was no solution. When she’s driving the car it does not give me mph but once she has reached her destination it will show me how many time she went over the speed limit I posted on the app. A friend of mine recommended this app because it worked perfect for her each time someone gets in her car and turns it on she gets a notification. She can tell you how much gas is in the car she can tell me how fast her car is going just from looking at her phone unfortunately mine is not doing the same.

Update. Don’t like the new update, it lags a lot for me

Metro smart ride. Metro smart ride works, but only when it wants to. Works on my husbands phone for his car, but not mine. My car all the info goes to both phones. I no longer get notifications for his when it’s plugged into his phone

No notifications. Update is good but if you dismiss your notifications there are not shown within the app .

Spam notifications. Starting a week ago this app has been spamming me several times a day with notifications about low fuel. These notifications advertise gas stations in the area. My gas tank usually runs above 50% so the notifications are misleading. Worst of all, there is no way to opt out of these notifications. Shame on Metro for polluting a subscription-based app with noisy, worthless ads.

Unable to log in. I tried creating an account but on my first attempt I got an error message the I had a reached a max attempt of 5 tries for creating an account so I had to wait 5 min. I waited the 5 min and got the message again - 4 times total. I then tried logging in with my info and got a server error try again later. I’ve waited and tried again several times - sane error message. How can I use the device if I can’t even get into the app?!

Love my smart ride. I love this app it does everything for me

Needs more work. I have tried to videoconference using this device and I had a horrible connection. In addition, I took a trip from Texas to/from Ohio and I had difficulty tracking my progress. I do not know why bandwidth is very slow because it uses the same cellular data connection. I also had transmission trouble codes on my vehicle which this device did not detect.

What’s going on? Notifications are all gone!!. I’m not getting any notifications as I used to. I really need to know when someone is trying to break into to my car or if it was the case that the thief already has broken and drove away my vehicle to at least know where it is when it’s being getting away. Before it used to work amazingly every time I would start my car or leave the area it used to alert me but now everything is gone! I need those notifications back!! I’m paying for this.... Come on!

Smart ride. Yes I love it because I’m able to see where my truck is and comes very handy. But I would love it more if it could give me more options. Like for example to see my oil leves and if there is something that need atención before it get bad. But overall is great.

Simply Fantastic. Exceptional. I drive a 2005 Acura tl and I just love this Metro Smart Ride.

Constantly loses data. Loses stored info and resets saved profiles. App needs to upgrade features to allow saving and exporting data and a restore from memory ability. May need a hardware/software upgrade to allow memory card or cloud storage.

Was great when I first got it. This product was great when I first got it but only got to use it for 2 weeks then it messed up and I’ve done had to get to replacements because the first one was messed up from the warehouse and the other one is not wanting to connect to the app and is really frustrating because I’m not getting to use what I’m paying for I really like the concept of it but if it doesn’t get fixed I’m just going to remove it from my plan because I’m not getting to use what I’m paying for

The worst update. Old app worked just fine till update after update the app is not working correctly no notifications at all.

WiFi and Help Button Issue. The WiFi works the first few days, it’s just when you’ve had it and the WiFi starts to go wrong then it acts like it can’t find the car. I just need help and there’s no help button to fix it.

Great!. Everything is super accurate when it comes to your actual vehicle. I love that about it. The new gas station feature is not accurate at all. The prices are completely off majority of the time.

No WiFi. I wanted to put zero stars. But it made me chose one. I have been having this device for a year and there is no WiFi button so I can’t utilize the WiFi. Which is what I got it for. You need to fix this. There is no icon. Again no icon for WiFi’s. Please fix

Love it but would like to be able to clear history. Love this device. It shows me my MPG per trip, max speed, hard brakes, etc.. helping me become a better driver. I just wish I could delete trips from the trip history or disable it for certain rides. I dont really like the idea that I can see every trip I've taken since I installed the device 9/1. Kinda odd. Like I can look at trips and remember "oh crap that's when I had to serve to avoid hitting that crackhead in the street." Other than that, love the device.

Does not always work. Goes offline all the time and does not work constantly.

Metro Smartride. This tracker, Wi-Fi, car diagnostic scanner and roadside assistance plug in is awesome. I love it. It let’s me know when my vehicle has a disturbance, when my vehicle starts, where my vehicle is located and where it’s been. It also shows me where nearby gas stations are and my battery voltage and sooooo much more. I love it and will be purchasing another one whenever my children grow up and have vehicles of their own.

That it’s the best. It’s the best no only cuz told you everything happens in you cart it’s amazing show you all like where u find cheaper gas station it u car have any problem omg if I keep never finish cuz. I loved

Ugh. Keeps saying offline and when it does track its hours delayed

Crap.. This app is complete crap. It only works when it wants to. When I first purchased the metro smart ride device, and downloaded the app, it notified me. Now it doesn’t even send me notifications if my car has left a specific area or what not. What’s the point in having this if it’s not gonna do what it’s made to do?!

Wish you can see speed of vehicle on map. Love the app and device, wish I could see the constant speed through our trip on map, it would help a lot with insurance, tickets, etc

Needs an update. This app is great and handy but I get my alerts way to late. Why continue to use if my alerts come in 15 min later

Good At First. This makes my auto car start not work properly in a Chrysler 300 C. Please fix. Other than that would be a little dope device to have

Bad update. I recently updated my app and now it doesn’t tell me anything anymore when my car moves is disturbed, doesn’t show where my car has been , the fuel level or anything ! My car was took a few days ago and I had no idea because I revived no notification!

On App there is no number on it ?. I just update my app today and it seems like doesn’t work. Take long time to login. My car parked out side my Apartment but app showed my last location. Fuel tank showed full. Kindly checked ur update and fix it as soon as possible. Thx

Do not buy if using for GPS tracking. GPS will not work correctly said the vehicle will be park when it is not or will freeze at locations for days I tried new devices and new SIM cards and still having the same issues

Very irritated. “Unable to complete: We have encountered a server error. Please try again later” I KEEP GETTING THIS MESSAGE TRYING TO LOG BACK IN. I’m not understanding why it randomly logs you out occasionally and sends an error msg each time you try to log back in. Very useless.

Love it!. Metro Smart Ride is absolutely great! It tells you if anything is going wrong with your vehicles engine. It tracked your car everywhere it goes via live tracking gps. You can track your car in real-time all the time. It logs every trip. You get a notification when your vehicle starts and when your vehicle is disturbed (someone opens your car doors but does not start the car). You also get a notification if there are any issues with your engine. It will give you the code for whatever is wrong. Metro Smart Ride is the best thing since fried chicken. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

So disappointed. I purchased 16 of the metroSMART Ride over four different accounts for my business. I purchased these in 2019. Over the years they’ve had a few glitches but for the most part they’ve done what they’re supposed to do. This morning I woke up and logged on to my account and my account was wiped clean. I have 16 vehicles on the road all over the state and I have no idea where they are or where they’ve been. I called the local MetroPCS store. The associate that answered the phone could not help me and referred me to the manager. The manager could not help me. The manager told me to dial 611 and speak to Metro. I was on the phone for over an hour with a metro associate from 611 who tried to help me but could not. At the end of the conversation he told me that I would need to go into my local Metro Pcs store for assistance. The Metro Pcs store says they cannot assist me I have to call 611. In the meantime it’s been 12 1/2 hours and I have no idea where my 16 vehicles are. The whole purpose of the metroSMART Ride was to keep track of my vehicles. In the past I had an employee steal a vehicle and drive it 3200 miles away over the weekend, wreck the vehicle and I was clueless until the police from the county called to inform me my vehicle was involved in an accident. He called me the following Monday. I’m not sure if anybody else has had this experience but I am very frustrated and you can’t run a business like this. You have to be able to depend on the merchandise that you purchase. The merchandise you pay for every single month. And have for over four years.
