Great Browser for iOS 12. This is the best third party browser for iOS 12. It is faster than Safari for websites that have ads. The reason this isn’t a five star review is because on iPhone 6c: 1. Unless you use private mode, your search engine queries will pop up as autocomplete suggestions after you delete the history. There is no way to get rid of them. 2. There is no VPN/Aria. Here are some more suggestions: 1. There is a bug that causes the search bar to jump close to the top of the screen in an odd way when you exit settings. When you touch the screen, it glitches back. 2. There should be an option to disable the pull to refresh feature. 3. There should be an option to quickly enable/disable JavaScript. 4. If you close the app in Private mode it should start in Private mode. Also there should be a setting to see your favorites and autocomplete suggestions when in private mode. 5. One of the keyboard shortcuts should be “!” when your search engine is DuckDuckGo because of the bang feature. 6. You should be able to swipe down the hamburger menu without having to put your thumb on the menu. You should be able to start swiping down a little above it. Thank you and please keep this app supported!

Almost great... The app’s UI is very pleasing to look at and rewarding to use. I especially love that the home screen automatically sets focus to the search bar. It’s disappointing that most of the big names (Firefox, Chrome, among others) require a second tap before allowing you to type your URL or search query after launching the app or a new tab. The “My Flow” feature is a bit of a mystery to me, as I’m not exactly sure how often most users need to send themselves a link or a text, when a synced bookmark is usually just as easy. For my basic workflow I can’t really find a place for it. This brings me to the reason my review is only 4 stars. BOOKMARKS. Or should I say, the lack thereof. Please oh please add bookmarks to iOS. The desktop Mac app supports bookmarks so I can’t quite figure out what the downside of syncing them between devices would be. It’s really the only thing holding me back from using Opera on all my devices. Until Opera Touch has my bookmarks I can’t really use it, and Firefox will have to be the old dog I stick with. Anyhow, well done developers. Aside from the gaping hole that is ‘bookmarks’ — it’s a beautiful app.

Preferrable to Safari, but could be better. Like: It’s pretty fast (even on a slow network), it has a dark mode, and it helps save data (how much is unclear, it doesn’t show you like Opera Mini does). To Be Changed: It frequently freezes, it would be nice to have the option to choose when and how to save more data (in some browsers you can choose the quality of photos and videos when you’re using mobile data), Flow should be functional between phones and tablets (a desktop/laptop should not be required), and it would be helpful to be able to save sets of tabs (so you don’t have to keep as many open, and so you can open them in other devices quickly and easily).

The Perfect Browser. I remember the time when google chrome started coming to popularity, it was quick, it had a nice layout, and was overall much better than IE. However chrome has now become IE it’s bulky, slow, unintuitive. Opera however is what I had envisioned chrome to be all those years ago. The newest browser taking the world by storm. How can you compete with a lightweight, smart, reliable browser like Opera? You can’t. It may take you a day to get used to, and all humans tend to resist change, but I promise it will be the best choice you make when browsing the web.

decent. pretty good browser . the sites load faster on slower networks while using mobile. more privacy features would be appreciated and if they could add a "play audio in background" feature, that would be useful. may update review later. overall its probably the fastest mobile browser, its just lacking in settings(in general), and when doing a search "type in address" thebmost common URL i type in shows up all the way at the bottom of search reccomendatuons which is annoying because 99% of the time im just trying to go to the URL(which takes up only one space) instead I see tons of google's search reccomendations when all i want is to go to the URL im begining to type, theres no autocomplete either in this case until youve typed the URL a million times. the opera browser should reccomend and autocomplete the url quicker so i dont have to keep typingr the url i previously visited, over and over and over again. its a fast browser though, probably because it does a good job at blocking unnessasary ads or something, so overall a decent browser which needs some more featrues on mobile.

Just gorgeous. Thank you.. This browsing experience, crafted by the Opera team, is so impeccable and impressive. I believe that the new version of Opera marks its return. Some may remember the days of Opera and Netscape Navigator. I have watched this browser evolve over the years knowing that it would be an outlier (and also using it on Linux), but it's always been difficult for it to gain traction. However, I always held a place for it in my heart, and I love the brand and name. So simplistic and elegant. I enjoy seeing the unique take on browsing, and I feel Opera is pushing browser UI/UX forward. I am very proud to be using this browser on my Mac and iPhone. Please keep up the good work, designers and developers. You certainly have fans left!

The only browser I found that supports desktop mode!. I have a lot of work that flows better for me if I do it through a desktop website instead of an app, safari claims to offer this feature but it doesn’t work 3/4 of the time for me. After some google work, I found Opera has a good desktop mode. The only suggestion I would make is that file sharing has more options (for example, more menu options so I have the option to save a PDF to OneDrive or My files.) as there are not any file saving options, except to print the document.

Bookmark support on iPad. You can add bookmarks, but they can only be stored on the Speed Dial screen on an iPad. There is no folder capability. There is a Mobile option that allows folder creation, but no way to move the bookmarks from the Speed Dial screen nor anyway to display those folders when browsing. Turning off Speed Dial in Settings, hides the bookmarks and no way to access them. The Ad blocking ability is great. I can read stuff without having it covered up like it does in Safari and Firefox, where the Ad blocking is useless as the pages still get covered up with ads. I use Opera on my desktop and laptop, where it is my "goto" browser, but not a happy camper on the iPad where bookmarking and organizing them should be easy and fully supported.

Better than the default apple browser but...... This browser has a few of the main features of its PC version but is missing many of the best such as sidebar and extensions. While this is still one of the best for anonymous web browsing it is worth noting that it is not able to open some pages, even with its security features disabled. On pages it does open, the controls do not always work. When I’ve run into the latter problem it usually has some sort drop down selection menue problem. On my PC this is my default browser but i still mostly use chrome as my main browser for apple devices because of website compatibility issues.

Fantastic! But needs work.. Before this browser was released, I was waiting at least a year for a usable opera browser on IOS, as opera mini is way outdated and no longer supported. After the release trailer came out for this browser I was so excited! As I heard someone say before, “the only flaw to opera browser on PC is there is no browser on IOS”. This is so true for people like me, who need easy transfer going back and forth from a computer and an iPhone. With all that said, this is a fairly new browser that has some cool features, but it really is missing a lot of features. I’d just like to see features added that opera PC has, especially to make the transfer even more seamless. Such as bookmarks, speed dial, password manager, etc...

Useful in a Noble and Creative Way. I didn’t have a high expectation in the beginning since there is already too many outstanding browsers for iOS. However, Opera proved me wrong with their unique way of letting users browse the Internet. As I got used to it’s settings, I found this browser much easier to search on the internet and the security setting is on par with any other heavily security focused browsers. However there is still some room for improvements, as it is a bit slow and laggy sometimes on iPhone 6s Plus. Also, it does not have an option for the browser to automatically start in an incognito mode. Other than that, most of the times, I found the browser easy and smooth to use with minimum worries on privacy and security. I thank everyone who worked hard to build this browser for the users. This is a great start and an alternative option to the Safari Browser. 👍🏼🙏🏼😁

Almost Perfect. I love Opera Touch, and I use My Flow all the time. It makes moving between my computer and my other devices really super easy. The only thing that would make me love Opera Touch even more is having back and forebears be swiped. The awkwardness of holding the fast action button and moving to the back arrow gets worse when there’s a webpage that reloads over and over and you can’t hit the back button fast enough to get past it (or hold the back button for a list of previously viewed sites). Already, the app is designed to make everything as simple and one-handed as possible. If you could just swipe back the previous page, that would make it perfect. This app is amazing. I have come back to Opera because of it. ❤️

What Voodoo Magic Is This.. As a child of Oregon Trail on Floppy and DoS based realness, I’ve seen a thing or two, and even become a little cut throat regarding my opinion on apps and operating systems. But I remember the screaming sounds of 56k dial up and AOL on CD being the primary source of internet, so I have no qualms saying how disappointing Browsers continue to be. Lots of solid well built ones but it’s the way we interact and experience the net around us that’s seemed to have peaked then flatlined. Suddenly, Opera busts through like the cool-aid guy with this High level Battle Mage and lets the magic fly. Everything from the discoverable tools that keep appearing like new upgraded spells in an epic RPG, to the beautiful interface and flow from corner to corner it has you feeling like you’re wearing hover boots in a world of flip flops. Truly Magic, and simply put, this is the browser the internet of the future I imagined back in the early 90s deserves. Gold Standard right here, Mozilla and Chrome time to take some lessons, Opera is clearly with us in saying it’s our time, the future is ours and it starts not!

Requires Patience. Easily could be 5 stars, but 2 major mistakes cause me to waste more than double the time I would otherwise spend in a browser. There's little benefit to using this mobile version, so it's just not worth it. The first one noticed is that address bar search is limited to a short list of browsers which track everything you look up. With the one exception of Wikipedia which is not a web browser. The only point to using Opera is that the browser doesn't track me, but the only way to get that benefit is to manually navigate to a nontracking search engine every single time. This also means typing out full web addresses, otherwise it just does the search (like all browsers) and you're being tracked. Unless you set the search engine to Wikipedia, which is unhelpful 99.9% of the time. The most significant issue is that it does not have in page history. It automatically opens a new window every time one clicks a link, so you quickly have dozens of windows open for the same site. There is no forward button but there is a back arrow which just jumps you to the last window, keeping the new window open. Super messy, laggy, tedious, and time consuming to deal with.

10/10 when you pair with Opera. I'm IT staff for a school district. I've been using Opera on all my windows machines for longer than my career.. all because of the security and resource drain when in background. Try running chrome on a linux/windows 2011 thinkpad. It's a nightmare. Even manages more idle power draw when I clamshell my laptop. Chrome is meant for chromebooks. Opera for any pc. That being said. Opera Touch is literally everything I never knew I wanted in a mobile browser. It's amazing. Real legitimate tab management and built in ad-blocking on an iOS platform is insanely convenient. I use my secured Opera account and my iCloud keychain as my only password managers. They outright and upfront choose user privacy and security over data collection and targeted advertisement. Switch to Opera. Switch to Opera Touch. The seamless integration with your accounts, info, browsing data, all stored securely for you and only you. Also seriously stop using Chrome. And use duckduckgo... gmail is a decent mail service, but they do not care to hide that they sell user data and use search patterns to target you with ads. This isn't a tinfoil rant, it's 2019. The internet has changed faster than web browsers. Time to change browsers.

Best desktop browser on the planet. I’ve been using Opera”s desktop browser for about 24 years and it is HANDS DOWN THE BEST BROWSER ON EARTH! Everything is quick and snappy, zoom settings, click and define words, text to voice, “paste and go” has been used by Opera for 24 years, current browsers are just NOW beginning to clue in on the great time saving feature of paste and go....and the best feature on Opera that NOBODY has effectively adopted and EVEN Windows and MAC should adopt is... MOUSE GESTURES! Briefly hold down the right mouse button while sliding mouse left or right allows you the absolute simplest and most effective way to go back and forward to and from websites or web pages. No other browser does this and I have NO IDEA WHY! Firefox made a failed attempt a few years back, I.E. - never, Netscape - never, Chrome - never, Edge - never, Safari - never and I’ve never seen it on any less known browsers, ONLY OPERA and it is a franchise feature once you use it and get it “down”! The portable version of Opera has not had nearly the same effect on me as the desktop version BUT it works very well even though I haven’t found it to be far superior like their desktop offering.

Yo, it’s easy!. This browser is super fast and I like the fact that the ad blocker works on SO MANY THINGS. I’m in love with it. It works when I’m trying to see previews of videos without clicking on them. It works with privacy and bypasses asking if I accept cookies if I select it. TWO COMPLAINTS! There is no way to easy access bookmarks. I need them because sometimes I don’t visit those websites but I need to remember them just in case I need them for work or playing a game. And there is no way to open links directly from mail or text messages even after disabling Safari. I think once those issue are resolved, this will be the number one browser for sure. Thank you for what you do, Opera! You’re the real VIP!

Unable to use bookmark between computer and iPhone. Opera is a good little browser, quick and easy to use the quick button once you get used to it. I bookmarked websites a lot and like to view at different devices. Unfortunately opera doesn’t offer the option to log into the account on iPhone, which means that you have to manually copy the website to computer with iPhone next to you. It’s not convenient and made me nervous that I may lose bookmarks someday, it’s too much effort to keep tracking which websites is saved on one device and which one has been saved on multiple devices. Opera, please fix this problem. Otherwise you are going to lose a good amount of users.

5/5 No issues so far!. I’ve been using this browser for what, a year and a half or so and have been surprised by what I found! I previously used Opera GX and disliked It because of it being not streamlined and having kind of useless features. I switched to Opera after remembering a friend of mine used it and I loved it! Now I’m continuing to discover more and more small widgets that come with the browser, and the ad block has been so useful! I love this browser and definitely recommend it, definitely a replacement for Google! I recommend it for any age, because of its easy understanding and streamlined design!

Very Stable, when not Synced?!. Even on my older IOS & multiple older devices Opera makes it easy to use no matter the sites visit or the videos or downloads pulled, I navigate within the app flawlessly!!! The only issue I have is when I want to sync my desktop with my mobile devices, it has freeze issues (on mobile device apps only) and I can’t navigate & have to remove and reinstall.. but to no avail?! That’s okay though for me cause I can just as easily customize each device’s Opera as I like, and it actually makes it more versatile and fun to use each device since I have multiple app builds that are uniquely different to each device, it’s better this way for me!! But, I rarely use for work so this may be a problem for those who need it?!

So so so Good, Just One Problem. Opera is a great browser I use it for my pc as well it works greatly so many futures great for gamers and more so good I’m telling you it’s better then safari one problem I can across is it closes the app when you in settings and you try to go back but that’s nothing really opera spends a lot of time on there browsers making them better each time love the side bar on the computer browser and the fast navigator on the phone one I feel they should add more features to the phone browser like more themes and features that the computer one has but they shouldn’t make it to crowded because again its on a phone oh love this tho definitely 5 stars just gotta fix the tiny bug for the settings on the phone browser and should add themes that the pc app just cause I’d like to match mine with my pc theme thats all really good app and browser tho definitely good and everyone should use also really easy to use and navigate and even tho you think safari and stuff like that is safe its really not opera keeps from ads pop ups blocks cookies has its own vpn and cleaner that works great those features are on pc tho the cleaner and vpn I mean but really get app/browser this is a must have. Nvm just updated the bug is fixed wow now this is great still would like the themes tho. Much love. - The Wondering Bull

new ai feature is a joke. the ai built into this web browser cannot browse the internet itself and instead just collects personal information so opera can sell your data to google for profit. there is a setting in the opera app (selling data to google) to turn that aspect of the ai off, But that being said.. I can only imagine what is in the fine print in that "agreement" which all users are required to sign before using this ai with very little useability and essecially is just another data collection tecnique. There are other chatbots that do not sell your data and I would reccomend using something like perplexity which can actually access the realtime internet instead of this joke. you would think an ai built into a web browser would atleast be able to access the internet😂

Fastest browser I have ever used. I have tested out a variety of different internet browsers over the past few years (just to see if any of them offer additional benefits or faster search speeds). This browser has exceeded all my requirements BY FAR! It has the fastest search speeds and still uses Google as the primary browser (though you can change to whatever browser you desire). It has a simple to use layout and doesn’t bombard you with any ads or promotional material. It also gives you the option for dark mode (if you like that). Rating 5/5 stars for excellent performance. Much better performance when compared to other 3rd party browsers such as: Brave, Dolphin, Chrome, Aloha.

It’s great, but….. I love opera as it gets the job done whilst being customizable and stylish, however I have a few points. A: Why is it when I have it set to dark mode all of the UI is purple? Don’t get me wrong I like purple but I think it’s be great to have more options such as dark red, dark grey, heck maybe just plain black. B: zoom. I need zoom. Having a small phone means the words always seem giant and it’s easy to get overwhelmed, so it’d be greatly appreciated to have a webpage zoom in and out feature. C: AI integration. Almost everyone from the modern generation(s( knows what Ai is, kinda knows how it works, but that doesn’t mean they want to see it everywhere. I get integrating an Ai into the browser, but don’t go too far. It would very quickly get confusing for everyone if on every UI page there was something about Ai and nobody would appreciate it for that long and would just become annoyed. Having too much of anything can be a bad thing, but so can having too little, the challenge is finding the balance that suits the most amount of people and their needs.

Always Deliver Advanced Interaction. I love this new version of the Opera Browser app because it has new seemingly innovative interactive controls to offer a fresh experience to browsing. I have been using Opera since 1999 or so, and they have always delivered new interaction conventions that no other browser seems to offer. Some people have a hard time with new and different but I am always delighted to be a first adopter and learn. They were one of the first if not the first ones to propose great features like multi-tabbing, a built-in ad-block, a built-in downloader, speed dial, “paste-and-go”, wallet for passwords and cards, and many more of those really great features that other browsers now offer.

History needs to be synced, not just recent tabs or tabs that are open on my computers. App is smooth and all, but there is room for improvement. When I work on my laptop using Opera browser, I open a lot of links searching things. I’m not gonna have the time to send each of the link to My Flow to later access them from my iPhone. What Opera needs to improve is the ability for Opera Touch to access all the history that I searched, read, clicked on in Opera browsers on other devices. I thought Opera account was gonna help with syncing history, turned out it worked on anything but Opera Touch. I ditched Chrome for Opera for its convenience at first glance, please make it better.

Swift and Elegant. First my browser needs are uncomplicated so will leave others to comment on deeper features. I have recently come to Opera after using Bing forever. I loved Bing with it’s beautiful uncluttered interface. Then Microsoft just suddenly ruined it completely. What a mess. From the start Opera was wonderful. I quickly came to admire the minimalist elegant look in black mode. The home page is easy to customize with whatever you do and don’t want on it. Bookmarks appear as icons on the Home Screen. And as so many say the first thing you notice is that it is FAST. Really pleased with it. Thanks Opera.

Extremely ergonomic. First and foremost, this is now the only non-adware browser I can find on iOS with a sensible tab view, so that alone makes it the only option for me. Also takes solid steps toward user privacy. Besides that, this is pretty much the most ergonomic mobile browser right now. There’s a small learning curve, but once you get used to things you’ll pretty much never need to move your thumb above the bottom third of your screen and you’ll just feel more comfortable than you would with any other browser. It’s basically the only workable one for power users now that every other option has adopted the new tab layout. Definitely missing some features that really should be there (bookmarks without needing to sync being the most notable), but I don’t generally notice, given how I tend to browse on mobile.

Speed and Frugality are No Joke. I have absolutely no idea how - considering all browsers on iOS are WebKit based - but this is *by far* the *fastest browser on this operating system*. If *speed* is truly your number one priority above all other considerations when browsing the web, here ya go. Frankly, I’ve continued to be bewildered for years, now, as to why general tech media has not mentioned Opera - or its “gaming browser” experimental counterpart, Opera GX - if not for any other reason than to chide it. It’s one of the few interesting questions within the subject of web browsing software at the moment. Unfortunately, Opera is literally the only browser on iOS I’ve found with *absolutely zero* Bluetooth keyboard support. I use a hardware keyboard with my *iPhone* every day, so it is pretty much a non-option for me. (Hey devs: you ever have a rainy day or something, look into UIKeyCommand.)

Not sure but it’s ok.. For some reason I had to delete the app & re-download it. It wouldn’t open the other day. Possibly to do w/ my Apple password being changed, but that has never seemed to affect any other apps being updated… I’d tried opening Opera, but it kept saying that the app could not “be updated”. Which shouldn’t really matter; if it’s still functional, any app will continue to work, just with an older version, right? Like with new phones & devices always coming out—in theory, they all work and they SHOULD. An app shouldn’t be made unavailable because of not being updated.. That’s likely an Apple issue and not an Opera issue. But anyway.. I just said “F it”, re-downloaded it… only this time, now there will be ads occasionally, even though the ad-blocking function is on obviously. Every couple of videos, the ads will show up. It’s really weird.

Wow. Pleasantly surprised on the quickness ! The User interface is by far the best I’ve seen from any web browser hands down . You can tell a lot of developer time was put into this . I was so impressed with app on my iPhone , I also downloaded it on my work and home office desktop and boy or boy , if you didn’t think it could get any better ! (It does) . Really a great job and you bet I’m going to share this with my colleagues and friends , I already got all my techs at work to download it . Keep up the great work ! Oh ya almost forgot , the sidebar on the desktop version is amazing !!!!!! Very impressed and surprised more people don’t use this , but I will spread the word !

Loved for a while, now uninstalling. So I’ve used this browser for months since getting my iPad Air 3 and have loved it immensely in the time I’ve used it. But in the last few weeks (and I have no idea if this is related to an update or something because I haven’t changed anything as far as settings) the browser has started refusing to open any page in Desktop Mode by default. It’s only opening them in Mobile by default, which means every single page I open I have to switch ‘desktop mode’ on manually, which I did not have to do at any point in the last few months before. This has become an irritation I cannot handle anymore. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. There is no Advanced Settings with an option to change user agent in this version of Opera, therefore I have found no way to fix it. So unfortunately I will have to go back to another browser until this issue is fixed because it is the most annoying thing I’ve ever dealt with on a browser.

Best Browser in the Game for Apple Products. This is by far my favorite browser available to date. That says a lot, considering it’s competition consists of Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Vivaldi. What separates it from the competition isn’t its aesthetically pleasing themes but rather it’s all the features Opera provides. Now, I’m not gonna go into all the details, if any, as I encourage you to check it out for yourself, but I am gonna name the features, so you have an idea of what to look forward to once you install it on your phone and computer. I’m talking about the Battery Saver, My Flow, Password Sync, and Video Pop-up (to name a few); these are the few features I can recall at the top of my head which truly separates Opera from all other web browsers. But hey, don’t take my word for it, I encourage you to download the program and see for yourself as I guarantee you won’t regret it. Enjoy!

Love the app, except for the stuff I hate.. I had planned, is evermore the same “Stop!“ Please show me the respect and common decency that I deserve by not hijacking my process and requiring me to answer a question before I can be free to complete my tasks. Please assume my intelligence and ability to find an use a “contact us” link to submit my suggestions and feedback should I choose to do so. I am extremely busy and have difficulty focusing on any one task in the midst of annoyances and distractions. It seems to me the reasonable question for your company would be: “do we want this individual using/exploring the benefits of our product or would we rather interrupt his thought process and cause him to forget what the heck he was trying to use it for in the first place, or would we rather have him click yes or no and then give us an answer that we won’t be actionable with anyway, and in this way end up with no changes to our annoying policies and now a potential upgrade gone, or a referral to new business is left feeling unappreciated and frustrated with nothing nice to say about the product?”

Best browser as of now. I have tried…... I have tried absolutely every single browser for a day or sometimes longer. The interface of Opera smooth. It transitions quickly and simple but powerful. Some of these browsers I tried before opera were just not up to par. Google chrome is pretty good but to pick between the two I would choose Opera, as I already have. Another huge win and pro for Opera is the VPN and security efficiency. The internet has become a place where if you get complacent you will end up getting hacked, your information stolen and so on. A VPN is a must.

Features features features!!!. I love this browser. I’m trying to find the best option for my mind and how it works. I’ve been using safari but have been very disappointed with its performance after a couple hours of use. I like firefox almost as much as opera products. I find opera touch to be friendlier, faster, and it keeps getting better. The UI is simple yet powerful. My personal UX is delightful. I’ve been using the Mac OS version and encourage using it as a supplemental browser at first then post a review or contact opera support with any suggestions and hopefully find a hidden gem of variety in your browsing experience. For those that were not familiar with my use of acronyms previously. UI is user interface and UX is smarrypants lingo for user experience. As for my rating ... i see many apps rated 5 stars. This app under promises and over delivers. In the USA, I’m fortunate to have a voice and proudly state opinions and question authority. Share your thoughts shamelessly with pride and kindness. That is an option that i choose. Every person makes choices. I will read other reviews and probably agree with some things that need improvement. For now. 7 stars with a few planetary solar systems that support life equally.

NOT FULLY COMPATIBLE WITH iPad OS-13. It is fast. BUT, Lots of “new features”, are all dubious benefit or usefulness, or functionality. And, these appear to be at expense of core functions that have become mediocre at best. Problems are: 1, Saving to PDF or iBooks causes it to freeze. 2, Too limited options to save web page . 3, Open link in new tab inconsistently works. 4, Will not open or copy web pages to iBooks. 5, IMPOSSIBLE TO BOOKMARK and categorize bookmarks, as every other browser easily does, 6, frequently , it freezes and must be restarted. 7, Way too difficult to print web pages let alone print them accurately as WYSIWYG. 8, Needs more viewing options and ability to limit videos or resize them, 9, inconsistent spell check. 10, Navigation is needlessly difficult, inconsistent and non-intuitive, 11, Where is the ‘go back’ or ‘previous page, button? 12, What moron decided to put a screen blocking purple circle in middle of screen that doesn’t go away??. IN SUMMARY, IT IS NOT FULLY COMPATIBLE WITH iPad OS-13.

Just ok. Its an ok browser, but they really need to fix the issue where if a link opens in a new tab you can't swipe left to get back to the original tab, instead swiping left takes you to a blank tab page, which you have to manually close and then reopen the previous page. Its a minor issue but in the age of modern browsers that all navigate the same way its odd that they chose to make it take extra steps. Also odd that when you close all your tabs it doesn't go back to the home page, it just defaults to an empty screen, then you need to open a new tab before you see your bookmarks. If both of those were fixed this would be 5 stars *Update - After a few weeks I am now seeing full page unclosable adds on major websites I used to visit without issues. Something is broken with their ad blocking

Simple functions are hidden or difficult to find. I downloaded this hoping to find a better browser, but found it frustrating to setup. First of all, what browser does not support cmd-F to search a page? I went into the menu and there was was “find on page” or anything. Second, I wanted to import my browsing data from chrome or edge on my iPad and could not find that option in settings, or within the iPad/opera settings. Third, obviously I wanted to log in, I thought maybe I needed to log in to find these features - where is the log-in option?! I luckily clicked on their AI button and that section asked me to log in. But the settings section did not change, no where to import my data. I checked the opera website and they say “sync all your data!” But they don’t explain how! I clicked HELP and looked in the settings section but no import option, I tried to search the page but cmd-f does not work! So I deleted it and now here we are. I did enjoy their AI reply when I asked them how do I import data from chrome/edge to opera. The reply highlighted the words I used but in their response. I thought was awesome as it personalized the inquiry and re-affirmed my request. However, the reply said to click on the opera logo on the upper left (there isn’t an opera logo on the upper left) and to go to settings, bookmarks and click import (which does not exist).

Where’s the data saver?. I only downloaded Opera because Apple forced the closure of Puffin. I did a lot of searching to find another browser with a ‘data saver’ and Opera was the only other one I could find. However when I spent the very little data I have with my wireless plan, there is no data saver?! I don’t get real internet where I live thus I only have the option of my 4G LTE with my wireless provider in which I only get 20 gig/mo data which isn’t enough gigs to do anything. Which is WHY I need a data saver option. I can’t afford paying $15 per gig I go over. I can’t use a browser with a VPN because sites in which I hold an account with have banned me for it. I was saving 80% data a month with Puffin. Where did your data saver option go? Thanks for causing me to spend a bunch of data just to download this to find that you took away the data saving mode. Ridiculous. I’m deleting this useless app.

personal news?. i love that theres a news option right when you open the app don’t know if they personalize the news to your google searches etc or if its like google chrome where you can tell it what things you like per example i'm into Kpop so ill type in kpop then a certain group/member or if i'm into music ill type in the artist/band and it will give me news for that type of content instead of general celebrity/music news for people i don’t care about. i’ve been using this app for a week because its been promoted to me lately through pewdiepie and a few other youtubers but idk if i like it like i like chrome. ill try and update my review again after a month because i wanna give this a full review.

Opera. I want to say THANK YOU to OPERA!! If u aren’t exactly satisfied with your browsing experience than I urge you to just go to the App Store and download Opera . It’s private so you don’t have to answer a thousand questions when your other half decides to spy on you! It’s fast, it feels like it was made just for you or just for me!!! It’s also not stressful! I feel great when I start and the experience eases my soul instead of making my anxiety worse!! I just love Opera and no one is urging me to say any of this! This is from my heart and I will never go back to chrome or any other browser. I’m loving OPERA and if you want to browse the web without being spied upon or getting outraged at all the advertising and slow speeds, and so on, do what I did and go to OPERA!!! U will love it and trust me I am not easy but OPERA GOT ME !!! Thank you OPERA

I love Opera on windows, however, mobile needs a few more features. There’s a lot I love about Opera as my main windows browser, the system of the Flow is great, currently I’m using the developer version so the tab groups are a great step in the right direction for tab management, but there are some essential functions that the mobile version lacks. For instance, when I want to download a pdf, in Safari I can just share and save to files, easy. In Opera mobile? I have to share to my personal Google Drive, use some of my space on there to save it, download the file from GDrive to iCloud and then I can clear the GDrive space, which is just a lot of steps for downloading a very common file type. Besides small things like this, Opera is a great experience and still my favorite option at the moment.

The best browser hands down!. I really enjoy using Opera and I can’t say enough good about it. It’s very solid compared to other browsers and the built in security and free VPN are icing on the cake. I’ve been waiting for a browser to be able to pickup and sync with your other devices for along time. Sending yourself links to interesting websites in order to “pickup where you left off” was a nightmare if you have multiple devices. Hats off to the architects, developers and whomever else may have been involved in its development. The only bad thing I can say is that folks with a short attention span seem to struggle and many I know dropped its use because they don’t want to take the time to relearn how to use a browser. If there was an easier way for them to learn I think they’d be advocates of Opera as well. Thanks!

Bravissimo!!!. For being the first and only crypto wallet browser on iOS, at least to my February 2020 knowledge, this is one easy-to-use, powerful app or dapp or phone thing! I am grateful I am able to switch quickly to dapps in case I need to utilize crypto. The interface has made navigating the internet more visceral rather than technical. I cannot find anything to suggest or criticize because it seems everything within today’s tech has been thought out and put to use. Much gratitude to the Opera Browser team, the programmers, directors, designers, operations, and everyone who made it possible to have at least one crypto wallet browser on iPhone!

It’s okay, I’ve used better browsers.. This seems to be heavily based off Google Chrome iOS browser, so not much to differentiate the Opera iOS browser from it other than the fast-action button at the bottom and some niche crypto wallet-stuff. The one-handed, fast-action button is rather innovative and easy to use, which I like. I notice webpages tend to load slowly or sometimes not at all such as a Wikihow article I was trying to reload in the Opera iOS mobile browser. I don’t notice these loading issues with Safari iOS or Firefox iOS. My biggest peeve is that there is no “reader view” like the ones in Mozilla Firefox iOS mobile and Apple Safari iOS to enlarge the micro-sized fonts that are used by websites and displayed nearly-unreadable in this browser. Also, when you open the app, it automatically opens a new tab instead of opening on the last opened tab. I prefer starting off reading from the last tab I had open. I find it annoying to close a new tab page that I didn’t call for. Even Firefox iOS made a setting to toggle this feature on or off after user feedback. I notice Opera doesn’t seem interested in user feedback as much as Mozilla.

Its good. Opera just is.. Despite all the negative reviews and the 2.6 star rating when I downloaded it, I told myself I was going to learn to love this app and I did. I’ve been using Opera for over 20 years and I am committed in a lot of ways but if something doesn’t work… It does though, it just takes a bit of getting used to. There are definitely some UXI improvements that could be made; quite a few, to get it more in line with the flow and power of the web app. browser. I really do like the quick actions button now, the flow… I only get annoyed, sometimes but rarely, when I can’t go forward as well.

Best browser for cross platform. I do love this browser for cross platform. I’ve tried multiple and this works the best and most seamless. But I will say the app does have more limitation's than the regular browser which is a little frustrating. If they implemented the same features as the regular browser(which they should??) it would be a 5. What I mean is it’s missing workspaces(pretty much tab folders) and also I can’t find a place to save my credit card? I don’t know if that’s user error but I looked for a while so it may just be extra hidden, apple doesn’t like to play nice with this and suggest passwords I noticed too but I don’t know if that’s the apps fault.

Instant Search = app always opens with new tab. After I wrote the review below, I learned that there is a preference to turn this feature off, but it’s called Instant Search, which doesn’t sound anything like what it actually does. I found out via developer feedback to one of the other reviews from users who were just as confused as I was… original review: Every single time I open the app, it creates a new tab open to the home screen with the cursor in the address field, even though I browse the same 3-5 websites all the time and have tabs open for them already. To dismiss the new tab, I have to tap Cancel, tap the Tabs icon, swipe to delete the unwanted new tab, and select the one I was already on the last time I used the app.

I’m a convert!. I have been an avid Chrome user but decided to try out Opera on my iMac due, mainly to the VPN feature that’s free of charge for unlimited data usage via the VPN that is set up for you to use should you desire to activate it. No! I’m not affiliated with Opera but am just dang happy with using it. Now that I’ve found I can use it on my iPhone AND transfer just as seamlessly and easy as I could with Chrome. I’m absolutely NOT putting Chrime down and would recommend them just as quickly as I will these folks. The difference FOR ME is the ease and lack of cost for running through a VPN with a simple click. Well done! If you read this far, here’s a stupid bit kinda funny (TBH: I love this joke) for you: Q) What’s invisible and smells like bananas? A) Monkey farts!!! 🐒 💨 ~peace ✌🏻

Beautiful, but…. It’ll be 5 stars once there’s an option to save content directly to the iOS files app. It’s possible, but fiddly at present. Otherwise fast, looks good and very functional

An Excellent Browser. A longtime Opera user (since even before the days it fitted on a diskette!), I really appreciate the speed and ease of use of Opera Touch. My only complaint is the lack of bookmark handling. The handling of icons on the home screen would be much improved if they could be ordered more easily by a ‘drag-n-drop’ mechanism.

Opera browser. Good app use on computer as well but doesn’t block adds on mine they still pop up

Amazing!. I love it because it is a low IOS rate and I can have so much stuff that I normally don’t have access to because my iPhone is only at IOS 12.5.7

Incredible and fast!. My primary browser on my Mac is Opera as well as on my iPhone. My only irk is that I cannot make it my primary on my iPad as it doesn't work well with the Magic Keyboard like Safari does. Please add desktop functionality to the browser for iPad. Would love to have all three devices running Opera.

Good for … adult stuff. Just kidding it has add blocker and I’d rather use a currently unpopular website than spending 30 dollars a month for premium things. Highly recommend.

Very fast. I haven’t done any scientific measurement of this, but it seems to load pages WAY faster than Firefox. I assume there’s some link prefetching going on, or something. The draw times of pages are much quicker. The in built ad blocking works great, too. I’m still a Firefox guy on the desktop, though (there’s a number of extensions I’m very accustomed to living with), so if this could sync bookmarks and history with my Firefox account, it would be amazing. As it is, it’s currently my favourite mobile browser.

Bug for iPads. Be careful if your downloading because I had a technical problem with my iPad because of the app, As soon as I entered my password it would have a loading screen and send me to the lock page. One time the iPad had to recover data due to this bug. But besides that it’s a great browser

Ok but. I like opera for its privacy features one major issue Why does VPN disconnect every time I load a site and I have to reconnect manually It needs to have a setting where it won’t do that And also not load unless VPN is on if connected and give me the option to disconnect VPN if network is slow not just do it automatically

Great browser , needs a little bit more polish and colour change. Great app. Animations when opening a new tab and pressing the tabs button feel a little weird. Also the pink-purple accent colour is hideous. Please change it to opera red or give us option for other colours

Missing bare essentials for a usable browser. Claims to have “must have features” but doesn’t even have the bare basic features that almost all other browsers support. There is no support for bookmarks, saving passwords, or syncing with opera on the desktop. It’s funny how opera mini (the predecessor to this app, which was a lot more usable) has been forced replaced by this app - which is worse in every way. Normally I wouldn’t leave a negative review like this, but I am doing so as a nice usable app was replaced with this one, for which I see absolutely no reason for.

Love it but one problem. I love this opera version for my phone that easily connects to my computer through the “my flow” but I’m having one problem with the history not showing up after I search using the browser

Just excellent. Outstanding work, easy UI I’ve been using opera for years and is hands down the best browser now with VPN is great

Fast as.. I am on a really old iPad and none of the search engines worked for me but when I downloaded this i’m like this is fast for an old iPad, please download this app it is so fast and relevant for multitasking and si reliable for work.

The best web browser for iOS and I love Firefox. I have to admit that this web browser is greate. ADblock 5/5 . You can open magnet links. You can brows YTS and other web pages “not safe” web pages and don’t get one pop-up. I love it. I am supprised. I strongly recommend it.

My new #1 browser. I didn’t think I’d ever move on from Safari... I dabbled with Firefox, toyed with Chrome. But for iOS they just annoyed me. This though, makes the internets great again.

Great app. I would definitely recommend this app, it is definitely better than Google Chrome!

best app ever apart equal to bolt. This app is amazing, highly recommend for people who don’t want to pay money and also I downloaded this on my windows laptop, sure it was a bit hard figuring out stuff at the start but you get used to it. When I get my Mac, I’m sure to be downloading this💗

So bad but wait…. Opera for iPhone is atrocious (on an iPhone 14). Try searching for anything or typing a url and the key input slows down to the point of being unusable. The publisher/developer continues to say they will fix it but in 2 years they have fixed absolutely nothing. It has amazing potential as it has some great features and capabilities; but the slows and lack of support from Adobe (or whoever the developer is) completely ruins any kind of enjoyable experience. Do not use opera. At least until it is fixed and supported properly.

Getting better as time goes by.. Each time I try this app it gets better. Five years ago I persevered with this browser for weeks but was finally put off by the syncing function. It was clunky difficult to set up and sometimes impossible to login to. I really wanted to be able to have a desktop browser that synced across devices and platforms. Nowadays ad blocking and tracking are more of a decider and Opera does both very well. It can even block cookies and or Thier dialogue. Password syncing is no longer necessary as I use a password manager with browser extension. The addition of "Flow" allows sharing between devices. Today speed and security are the priorities and Opera provides both.

Only good on desktop. Desktop great. iOS, the settings button and settings menu too small. Flow is a bit unreliable and is too hidden away, in my opinion. Nice to maybe have an option to go to it using the blue navigation circle (that’s used to switch tabs).

Way better than expected. This was amazing, probably my favourite browser. It’s got free ad blocker. However it’s still incomplete maybe the use of gestures? And maybe background options. Basically more like the desktop version

Should be more like the desktop app. I can see you guys have put a lot of effort into the design but you already have a great product, opera desktop is so much better and I would love to have an app that works well with it even simple things aren’t there that’s on the desktop version such as workspaces and easier syncing across desktops

Absolutely amazing, highly recommended. No pop ups, super smooth browsing, no jitters, intuitive controls, gorgeous ux. Thank you amazing devs. An easy 10/10. For people who are hesitating, give it a try. You’ll for sure love it.

Perfect. Easy to use and very user friendly, plus the ability to connect to computer browser is just so helpful. Honestly so glad I moved from google chrome to this.

Tabs. I like this app it is fast to load things I would like the app to be updated so that you can move tabs up or down next to a page you want to put it next to otherwise the app is fantastic

Cleaning Cache. Wonderful browser but it surprises me why so many do not allow you to automatically clean browsing history & cache by time or by closing the app. Such a tweak would be a wonderful enhancement.

Extremely good but…. Extremely quick and efficient browser with many features. An example of this is blocking ads. However, I would like to see in a future update the ability to use keyboard shortcuts such as COMMAND T ect.

great browser. This is a great browser. All annoying ads are blocked. I am very appreciated for your work. You are deserved to have ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I want the button back. Why you cancel that button? The one in the middle of the bottom of a page. That’s your specialty. That’s what got you a designer’s prize. Don’t cancel that function. It is good, and we want it back. Edit after your response: Oh thank you! I thought, as the name and color change, you also modified this version towards desktop. I didn’t notice that. Thank you for the remind.

Passwords. As a user for opera for quite a while I have recently decided to download it and use it as my main browser on my mobile devices, however I have come to the conclusion that there isn’t a way to view/manage passwords saved on the computer version. If you could add a password manager in the app or as a seperate application that would be much appreciated.

Very useful and enjoyable. Great Browser...for great browsing! Pages loading of late have tended to the slow. The purple ‘home widget’ also gets in the way of page text, manipulation at times...an alternative placing or button design would be very helpful. Otherwise an awesome experience.

I like the idea, but normal Opera browser is better. Holding on to a button to switch tab or go back one page takes way too long time. Could we have option to switch to regular buttons. Also having VPN feature back is nice Edit review: Appreciate that dev took time to respond to review.

What I didn’t know I wanted in a browser. Right when I open it it gives me random news that I wouldn’t have read if I didn’t open this app. Widgets that are very Opera by nature, but remade for mobile use. Sleek design and dark mode setting. However I notice that Opera touch do not have vpn, reading mode and the ad-block is not as powerful as the desktop version. The dark mode doesn’t darken the sites that you visit, which is a shame really. You’re using browser to browse internet so obviously you’re not gonna stay in the default homepage forever. If Opera have all these items, it would be perfect, especially reading mode that usually can double as dark mode.

Quick and clean. I LOVE this app, but I can’t get the “Open in Touch” function to work. When sending web pages from safari to this app.

Unable to view or recover saved browser passwords. Opera works great but the UX is seriously lacking password view or recovery options. You can clear cache and history but not view saved passwords, so you’re stuck praying any updates don’t blow away your credentials. Been stuck with this for several years now.

Speedy browser. I have found that Opera is faster than Safari and chrome But I have compared it with Mozilla

Won’t connect to computer. Love the app but very buggy when connecting with my computer - when I send something from my flow a blue dot appears on my phone but nothing is there in the flow :/ Forums online seem to have similar issues

Amazing little thing to surf the web... If you’re looking for a new seamless and painless way to surf the web across multiple devices - here’s your gift from the skies.. It’s actually crazy how easy it can be done now.

Terrible to the point of being unusable. I don’t like leaving negative reviews but this browser is so bad, so unusable and so disappointing that I feel I must. The whole concept of “flow” is poorly considered - why do I need a dialogue with myself (desktop browser to phone)? Where are the saved links? Why doesn’t my password manager work with it? All in all a terrible browser and made much more disappointing given how fantastic the Opera desktop browser works.

Ad blocker. With your the phone update that came out 2 days ago for opera it has stopped the ad blocker from working even when it's turned on

Hardly useable— Please add bookmarks. Add bookmarks and workspaces and you have someone who’ll forever use this app. Yet, I Might have to leave for something useable which is sad because you guys have the perfect desktop app. But I need my bookmarks so I can save research projects and shopping lists etc. Y’all have something great, but without basic bookmarks, I can’t use it. Or if you don’t want to, at least sync bookmarks with Chrome instead of having to import them on PC, that way I can use whatever browser and actually have my bookmarks. Hope you guys’ll do something. This app has so much potential

Top browser!. Love the new opera, especially workspaces. I use Opera for my sensitive data as it is so trustworthy. Some complex web apps complain that they want Chrome, but I find most of the time Opera still works.

Great and Secure Browser. This a great application and one of only two browsers I ever use. Easy and simple with full privacy controls. Love it! 😁

THANK YOU!. I have an ancient iPhone (iOS 12) and OMG that this browser supports it. After many minutes of searching, this is very award winning for just supporting my ancient phone. Thank you so much

It works great. Best functioning browser for mobile currently. Make heavy use of flow. The fast controls are lovely the adblocking is additive and nothing feels missing.

This is awesome!. This is a very awesome browser, the menu button(FAB I think) is very unique and helps with productivity. Connecting to a computer is great, as I use Opera GX a lot and it’s nice to send things from device to device. Great browser!

Good app. I can say this is a good application. Been using opera mini from Nokia to htc and now on iPhones. The only thing I don’t like about it on my iPhone is —- the characters are too small and there’s no option to enlarge them. I hope you can fix this soon in an update.

Tab browsing link gets lost while tab is open. If you often browse with multiple tabs open, Opera for some reason forgets the url in a background tab sometimes showing instead the homepage.

Very helpful app. A bit unconventional at the start, but very nimble and powerful tool once you get used to it. My flow allows for a seamless transfer of unfinished browsing from pc to phone and vice versa. Tab interface being out of the way helps to keep on the task without interruption. At the same time, other tabs are always there (for weeks if necessary), keeping their history.

W app. Best browser free

Quick and effective. This a very usefull quick and private browser. Ads are blocked when u want and keeps history and cache clear after every browsing session

Opeeea. Great site

Always Improving. Opera is very useful and reliable and proves its relevance by continuously improving its performance.

Gr8 but font 2 small.. Gr8 but font 2 small.

Always proves to be a “go to” app. I’ve tried multiple other browsers but always seem to end up back with Opera. I’m turfing Safari from my iPhone and making Opera my default browser. It’s simple, straightforward, clean looking and reliable. Highly recommended if you like to leave multiple tabs open. (I always have 50+ tabs open without overloading the app and they’re easy to navigate.)

Doesn’t block YouTube ads any more. It stopped blocking YouTube ads since last update

Google Sign In Does Not Work. Alright, so I want to sign in to Twitter (X) with Google but it just shows the loading icon.

Opera email on iOS not visible. Cannot find my opera.com email to confirm my email for opera. Keep getting stuck in a loop to verify the link sent to my opera.com email but cannot find any way to get into my opera.com email even though I am logged into my opera.com account!

Improve search suggestion. The problem is if you don’t chose google as your default search engine it won’t suggest you anything in the search bar. I don’t use google so it became annoying to write the full website or sentence.

Not always user friendly. I love the sleekness of the browser, however I find it difficult to add pages to my bookmarked section on mobile. This and other issues such as tab navigation make it sometimes difficult to use.

Ca ne bloque pas la publicité. J’avais pris ce navigateur pour le bloqueur de pub mais le bloqueur de pub ne marche pas

Seamless. Love this!

Extensions?. Make it so that we can add google extentions, or have the built-in ad block have the ability to block redirects to other websites. (sending you to another website or different website.)

Good browser but not good for news. I am not interested in any of the options listed for news. I would like my local news. I do not need to know what is happening in every other city but the one I live in. Had to turn news off as it does not provide anything relevant to me.

Good. This browser is good and you can go from different tabs very easily, which is better than google. It also has a back button on the side and it is very inconvenient on google. This also has a built in adblocker and all adblockers on the web store only work on safari so that’s why I think this is the best browser.

Tried to love it. I tried opera browser for a few weeks. Kept freezing and ultimately had to go to another browser to finish whatever I was doing. This happened repeatedly over several weeks. I think I gave it a fair shot. By the way: I tried it a few years ago and can’t say it’s improved much except maybe in its layout. Maybe work on function going forward. Pretty but useless is ‘pretty useless’

Really good. Could use some of the features from the desktop though. Adblocking....exe Great browser though

Google Monopoly. Downloaded this app to avoid having Google’s search results be entirely Google affiliated brands and sites, but this is all just google still 👎🏼

Good for old phones. Better and smoother than safari for older iPhones. Looks more better, just wish that I could use a smoother YouTube on it.

Really nice. Pretty fast, love the gestures and the sync, but no Find in Page feature? Definitely my second favourite browser after Safari.

Typing is painfully slow in latest update. Typing since aria was added lags to about a character a second. It’s painful and opera will be uninstalled if it’s not fixed. Note that aria is off and it is slow for all search engines with all search enhancements off. Other browsers do not have this problem.

Missing crucial features. OK opera I have to ask where did you put bookmarks? Why did you get rid of bookmarks? People need their bookmarks people love their bookmarks. Please bring them back. I love the browser but without bookmarks it’s a quick uninstall.

Great browser!. I think this will be my new default browser! Great at everything and built in vpn ad adblock!

good. it’s great with lots of amazing features for free! it’s very slow on iphone though. but pretty fast on ipad. also i can’t rearrange the tabs, would greatly appreciate getting that added please :)

Something different, something new. Sometimes it’s nice for a little change, google became so popular, and with so many phones, all I heard was let’s google and see, google this and google that. I like to change things around some time, so that’s all I have to say Thank You

🔥. Opera is hands down the best browser I've ever used! It's incredibly fast, secure, and user-friendly. I love how it offers a range of features like a built-in ad blocker, VPN, and battery saver. These features have made my browsing experience so much better and hassle-free. The fact that Opera is translated into many languages is a huge plus for me as I can browse in my native language. It's so convenient! I also appreciate that Opera uses my system's default language to set the browser's language, but if I ever want to change it or need more information, I can easily visit the Apple Supportpages. Overall, Opera has exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch browsing experience. Five stars all the way!

Thanks you 4This App. Again v very Thanks you Apple

Chinese spyware🤙. Yeahh…

What a great navigator!. 👌👌👌

Always 1 notification. It doesn’t say where it came from. It just shows 1 in red circle on its icon. Doesn’t matter whether you have news enabled or not as soon as you give the app the permission to show notification after a fresh reinstall it shows that 1. Maybe the PR team at Opera GX can make fun of this.

Great browser. It’s a great browser with a add blocker

C’est vraiment incroyable. J’ai essayé et en deux secondes je suis tombé sous le charme

Best Browser. Best Browser in the world.

Interesting app. Still function in ios 12

Ouverture de session. Pourquoi je ne peut pas me connecter avec mon compte afin d’avoir la synchronisation ???

is slow sometimes, but other then that. why is typing so slow?

Long long time user and happy.. Long long time user and happy.

No sync with desktop, therefore no bookmarks or passwords access. perhaps as a standalone browser might be okay. but in terms of connectivity it’s a terrible browser as their sync option won’t allow you to access any of your desktop browser data at all. after doing sync there is nothing you can do to bring your data into your phone. It’s crazy how this has 5 star reviews and also devs ignoring this issue for years now.

Thank you opera for everything thing your my browser 4life im. Benn Schmidt aka monty8ball With lov

noice. very good app has a lot of features and can be used easily. I suggest you to make a wallpaper feature where you can get images for gifs and put as backgorund

To the dude who wanted bookmarks. Yo man they added bookmarks back.

👍. good

Ad blocker. The ad blocker could be better for mobile like blocking pop ups and such, it kinda does it job sometimes but not all the time.

Mon favoris sauf …. J’adore Opéra mais je ne suis pas la seule à trouver dommage qu’on ne puisse pas avoir nos favoris pour s’y retrouver ! Vraiment dommage !

History doesn’t fully delete. History doesn’t fully delete. When I type into the URL/search bar, there is still a history listed after deleting all history, cached, etc, for all time.

Very good. Very interested

Great Browser. Got the recommendation from NileRed. Fantastic Browser with awesome features too

Awesome but. It’s a cool browser but my problem is the lack of customization. There should be more colour themes like in Opera GX.

Rate. I really love this app and use it every single day.

Tanisha. Needs updating app is consistently glitching hope I’m not scanned from initial download of the app you have to input personal info as I Newly and uncertain about a few things with being non tech savvy also. Cognitive behavioral issues It was noted not specific enough but app wants too many official information identity oops I’m deleting this mistake I’m mad about this freakin app I’m just about done with apple games my anxiety has took over mode if this one app

Why does opera have no option to turn off geolocation on iPhone?!. Like the title says: Why does opera have no option to turn off geolocation on iPhone?! And also why is opera lying with turning off my location when it shows my precise location despite never allowing?! If opera’s quality continues getting worse, then I will delete this app and probably look for another search engine; disappointing smh 🤦‍♀️. Update: I officially deleted this app. This app is so bad for so many reasons. Opera used to be good; it hasn’t been good for a long time now smh. I’m glad I deleted your search engine Opera!!!!! Next is deleting you on my laptop!!!!!!!!!! Why are you making mistakes in my work or getting rid of what I written?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are making me really mad Opera 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Near perfection. This is a perfect solution for my multiple device usage throughout the day (Flow feature), and the touch / optimization now offered from Opera, is great! I am hoping for firther updates to this as skme tweaks could be implemented such as additonal setting features (Home page, customizable GUI, and other personalized preferences/options). I use an iPhone Xs Max, which this browser is perfect for - I recommend this to other, same users, to definitely give this a shot as it is well worth it! Keep up the great work!

Add Ecosia to default search engine. I like the look and ease of this browser. I wanted to use something outside of the huge conglomerates like Apple’s Safari and Google Chrome. Similarly, I was hoping to use a different default search engine. Specifically one as environmentally friendly as Ecosia. But this browser has only a few other search engine options tinder as the default. I wish Ecosia would be added or we could just pick our own. If something as specific as IMDB can be an option, why not other search engines that are more broad in their results?

Passwords. There’s some parts of opera that I like. Particularly the menus appear on the left-hand side of the layout .The reminiscent of the menus found on eBay. These are very helpful in the selection process . However, Opera seems to have a real difficulty in password storage. It fails to remember them. There’s never a dialog box that comes up and says, “Do you want to see this password?” or “Do you want to save this changed password?” If you finally can find the secret magic place (and can’t be found on iPad or iPhone ) where the SETTINGS discuss passwords, there’s a large blank space that says “Saved passwords will appear here” and there’s nothing there.

Great browser but lack of keyboard shortcuts is frustrating. Keyboard shortcuts become automatic and are ubiquitous. Our fingers automatically press them without our brains interfering. And when trying to use them in the Opera browser, the unexpected happens. For example, when you press command+W instead of closing a tab, it closes the app. The difference between tablets and laptops is diminishing. It would be wonderful to have shortcut support on iPads. Otherwise I am pleased with Opera. It has built-in support for VPN so I have not used it. Nonetheless, it’s impressive. And it is fast. I think it would be nice if the search input and tab control took up less vertical space on top.

Problem with tabs and syncing. I enjoy the desktop browser very much, but I can’t say the same for this mobile app. I can’t change the awful tab view and can’t find anything in the app or online that says I can change it. Then there’s the fact that you can’t really sync the desktop browser with the mobile one. Specifically, I have trouble with the bookmarks. I have to manually put in every bookmark through the opera sync website if I want to have the same bookmarks, and I’ll have to continue adding and removing bookmarks if I want them to be the same. It’s really annoying. But I still give two stars because it at least works alright outside of my frustrations with it.

stunning interface & design. so beautiful yet easy to use opera browser. simply enjoying browse various websites. I believe that Opera Browser is an excellent in many ways. I wish to make comment regarding of feedback about Opera Browser. A theme is something I would like to see more because I really love how Opera design a beautiful color in an app. I also wish to see that there will be more features that we may start to fall love in these beautiful ways!

Love it!. I love Opera on desktop and Opera Touch on my phone. Chrome is too interested in my privacy and Firefox is too slow. Using Opera, I get the speed and privacy. Opera Touch is just quick and I have the confidence that my data isn’t being sold. The only issue I have is outside the control of Opera. Other apps do not recognize Opera Touch as a browser option. I’ve been reaching out to app developers requesting the feature. For example, Readdle for support in Spark to open Opera Touch for the browser. If you use Opera Touch, please put in requests with other developers to support it. Thank you.

I’m just thinking.. I’m just trying my luck with this and it doesn’t look like it. I’m not going anywhere near it but I’ll keep trying to get a picture if I can get a picture of it and I don’t know what to do with that I just don’t want to be bothered with that much of an issue and I’m just not really interested to do anything about that so I’m trying not being a good idea I just want to make it seem as though it.

Opera is FANTASTIC. By far its light years better than Chrome. It has automatic ad blocks, Has VPN which is a plus, browser interface is clean and clear to see. Browsing is a breeze and results are always on point and none-biased.. Like, when I tell you you’ll find more results for something your searching for on Opera than on Chrome….. just saying… now tha ball is on your court, up to you if you want to use this grate app! 🤷‍♂️

Bring back video downloading for FIVE STARS. FOUR STARS until old Opera mini premium features come back like video downloads (in the previous browser). Great ownership group with a great worldview. Looking forward to Opera Touch. EDIT: A few things after using a bit. Pornhub doesn’t load videos and needs to be whitelisted. How do I whitelist? Also, the menu button is too slow at the bottom, and I don’t want to have to hold it down and drag my finger to an option. I want to tap, then tap again my command. Even Force Touch would be a good addition.

Solid browser but Popup blocker needs work. Very solid browser. Aesthetically the browser looks great, it’s fast, responsive, very little complaints save 1. The popup blocker needs work on iOS as I’m still getting pop up’s and new tabs opened randomly from webpages with pop ups. In its current state 5e pop up blocker isn’t as good as the various as blockers I’m currently in running on iOS with safari. Until they improve the popup I’m gonna stick with safari and my 3rd party blockers but once it hits the level that safari is at with 3rd party apps I’ll be switching to opera as my main iOS browser and I’ll change this to 5 stars.

Needs a sign in feature, other than that it’s great. Great app, great features, amazing performance. However, it lacks the ability to sign into your Opera account, which is keeping this review from 5 stars. I want to be able to sync my passwords, history, and other data. There is a feature called “My Flow” which allows you to send in a text style things to your computer from your phone and vice versa. Add the ability to sign in and this review goes up to 5 stars. Other than that, great app and my new default browser on iOS!

So close to being perfect!. Overall Opera Touch is very well done and a fantastic app. It is way better than Opera Mini, flow works flawlessly, and you can actually browse the internet with one hand! The only feature that I really need 3D Touch support for previewing links and using it on the key button. I know it’s a small gripe but after using this app for almost a year I still hard press everything like it’s safari. I can’t wait to see how this app improves with time! Would definitely recommend you at least try Opera Touch for a fresh web experience!

Very good. It’s fast Ty just need now to have browser not to respond to inquiry with an interpreted response… not to say did you mean isn’t a viable alternative for creative input but the logarithm postulates to far in front and misses 25-38 % of time on itself is postulated but kind I hope screen. I have made opera music default and it’s not like super seamless in making that change . I love Oprah keep up good work and I never reallly do the feed back thing so please with a grain of salt Dave Hinds

A very clean browser and a good looking one. I really like opera as it has many of your apps right on the screen and you are able to add more and brings you right to where you want to go. It is not nearly as cluttered as other browsers which are predominately used. At least when you sign on, it brings you right to your apps. This way, you are not being bombarded with any news or ads. I really like opera.

Small issue. There’s currently a problem regarding how zoomed out the browser is when you search anything on the phone, never been a problem on computer. Second issue is I can’t view my bookmarks from the computer on the phone, even though I’ve already logged in and checked around. This happens to be a larger problem for me since my way of picking up and pausing webnovels is book mark and scroll speed dial on the computer.

Loss of a great browser.. I’m an old time user of this browser since it was introduced in the 1990’s, but as of recent I’ve found out that the Chinese have acquired it and I know they love to spy on everyone so I’m no longer going to use this browser as my primary. Its been a great browser since day one for me and I love the features, but the new ones I don’t care for namely it being owned by the Chinese, I don’t care much for being spied on and that to an enemy of the world in my opinion. So I give this app now a zero rating until such time it is no longer in Chinese hands.

Extremely buggy and other problems. When I first downloaded Opera Touch, I had only one problem: you can’t sync your data between devices through an account. The only reason why I downloaded Touch is because I use Opera GX and I wanted to sync my data between my phone and my laptop through my account. After about a week or so of using Touch, I began to experience bugs such as Touch not responding and Touch crashing, and it’s gotten to the point where it told me to reinstall Touch, meaning that all of my data would be lost because it isn’t synced to an account, and I did. So until Opera Touch gets its bugs fixed and gets a sync feature, I’ll be using Mozilla Firefox in the meanwhile, both on my phone and my laptop. I really hope the devs see this.

Good but can't sign in to Opera account. I love the Opera application on my computer, and the phone and iPad apps work well, except I can't sign in to my Opera account on either app. The Flow feature works fine, but in Settings, there's no option to sign in to your Opera account like it says there should be in the Help guide. I would like to synchronize my Speed Dial and bookmarks across my devices, so this is a bit frustrating. (App developers, if you're reading this, please fix this.) Otherwise, though, they're great apps. I love the integrated privacy and ad-blocking features. I would give five stars if not for the weird absence of the sign-in feature.

This browser is so dang good. To be honest I just use web browsers to read manga, and lately a popular manga site, Asura Scans had been putting video ads on their site. Now for computers it isn’t that bad but reading on a phone, the bottom half of the screen is blocked. Luckily with Opera the ad block gets rid of it and any extra ads that are on the site. This is the best thing, now the 50+ manga I’m reading have to be copy and pasted onto the new app lol.

My default browser. For some reason, tapping the stars to rate isn’t working so hopefully it will show up with 5 stars. My previous review concerned a previous version of opera when they came out with the thumb button menu. That wasn’t good for me. This version functions like I expect a browser to function. My only gripe is the news feature only shows left wing / socialist /liberal news outlets ( which is most of them) and no right wing / moderate / objective news sources.

Nice App. This is a good app I like the lay out and how it looks!! The only thing I don’t like all that much is they are like most apps out there, they work off Google some people want a app that’s not with Google and want use Google cause we all know that Google is no good with your privacy and data, so I’ll tell people to download this app cause the layout is very nice, but if you don’t like Google think about it before downloading the app, but other than that try this app out you will like it and that’s for real.

Magic. Okay! New update to choose navigation method is inane! Totally madness. You guys keep raising the bar all the time with more choices to users. Love it. To be honest, one word for this is magic. In a world where humans are getting out of the internet bubble and taking back control of their time and privacy. Opera has gone out of their way to give people options and help them take control of their lives on the internet. It’s the best browser I have used in a while. I say this because of so many features that comes with this browser and especially the incredible updates every time. If this makes anyone feel okay. I can conveniently say I have never seen a single ad before while using Opera touch and these is accompanied by good features like cookie blocker, crypto mining blocker and pop ups blockers and haaa the incredible dark theme is surreal too. Thanks Opera.

Hollywood Consultant Services (Opera). Not the actual app though I think the only thing that I can say about it the VPN is trash and PLEASE FO NOT HIT 🔙 arrow it throws me off the whole site very beautiful colors scheme but AI Sexy voice never worked because Opera (Fake)app wouldn’t let me make a profile so I never got a test the AI Now I have been using this app for 2 weeks now So I’m Im going to Charge you a small donation to my PayPal account of 3500 dollars for my Time and I am going to send you my link you. Your Team Never told me it’s a test trail so I’m seeing how you get away with privacy policy and terms which technically doesn’t apply to your customers because you lied you broke your own rules so I think 3500 is fair enough

Interface annoying. There are now at least half a dozen good IOS browsers that don't bug a user with disruptive popup APP ads (we fight to stop popup ads coming from sites, and the apps themselves now generate ads that are just as annoying). Opera touch might have joined the "not dirty half-dizen) were it not for the stupid "toolbar in a circle" interface it uses. It is at least as annoying as a popup ad and even blocks content (and sometimes things like form fields). If there is a way to move or hide it, that way is not obvious. Toolbars are anchored above or below content for a reason; to stick them up over content was an ill-conceived innovation.

My favorite browser. A couple of years ago I discovered opera for pc. Once I found it I never opened chrome again. Opera is just faster, lighter, minimalistic. Just want I want from a browser. And speed dial is the best. I’m happy now to find an iOS version of opera for my phone. Seems just about as good as pc version. It’s minimalism makes it load pages fast. Seamless transition between tabs. Easy to understand. I have to give it a full 5 stars. Opera, you will forever have a place in my heart. Thank you devs.

They Fixed Everything. So awhile ago I left a 4 star review saying this was close to replacing my Chrome app but there were a few features/missing features that stopped me from doing so. I have reinstalled the app to test it again and I can say now that I’m switching over to Opera Touch from Chrome. Thanks for taking my last review so seriously. Every suggestion I made was implemented and it is also nice that they added a feature to have either a standard navigation or their fast action navigator.

Finally, a browser for one-handed use.. Whoever developed this deserves a raise, a vacation, and a promotion. I have never used any software as intuitive and ergonomically beneficial in my life. I use Opera as my desktop browser because of its speed and ability to run dozens of tabs without compromising performance. I haven’t yet put Opera Touch through such arduous paces. I am still aglow over the ease of use. It is just so perfectly, elegantly functional for one-handed operation. Ok, now time for the downside. I don’t yet have easy access to my desktop bookmarks, though the flow feature is something of an analogue in practice. Overall: 5 Stars Aesthetics: 5 Stars Features: 4.5 Stars Speed: 5 Stars Functionality: 5 Stars It is so much better than Chrome, Safari, or Firefox that it is laughable. If you’ll excuse me, I need to go bother everyone I know (and many I don’t) to try Opera Touch.

Really great but needs some small minor tweaking. Though it’s Opera I use this web browser for my PC and my phone most of my time is by far my favorite web browser. In this new app everything is really nice. Though some of the tweaking I could advice is on specific tasks such as refresh, open up new tabs section instead of going to the bottom menu and the three dots they could go without the small shortcuts. Though I could get used to it , it doesn’t matter.

Great app. This app is almost perfect but there is one change and one feature that needs to be added. The change is with private browsing. The tabs automatically close when you close the app. There should be an option so this doesn’t automatically happen and they only close when you manually close them. The second thing is a lock. There are some browsers that have password locks/FaceID to unlock the app. This is definitely a feature that should be added.

Opera Touch. I discovered Opera Touch about 2 weeks ago and NOT like other new applications that you download to try and in a day or so it is already deleted. Opera Touch grabbed my attention immediately. I think anyone would be hard pressed to find anything better! From staying connected via the integrated text feature you can also use their fast build in VPN. I challenge anyone who reads this to please share with me and everyone a similar app with 1/4 of the features that Opera Touch has!!

Spectacular. This is the only browser (for iOS or Mac) that competes with Safari’s functionality. While Chrome and Firefox have plenty of extensions of debatable usefulness, Safari has always been my choice because it works best with the system, saves battery, and supports 3D Touch. Until now. Opera is beautiful, functional, and interfaces with Messenger and WhatsApp (on desktop), and a joy to use. I was disappointed when Opera discontinued Coast, but it’s focus on minimal design lives on in this fantastic browser.

Can’t sync between iOS and computer. I downloaded the new opera browser on my Mac and was instantly blown away if was very good and I thought I had seen a replacement for safari, I instantly downloaded it on my iPhone and slowly my smile was disappearing as I was searching through the options and couldn’t see a way to login into my account, and my bookmarks and saved passwords will be gone, they had flow with let’s you send pages across devices but that no replacement for synchronized accounts, that was an instant dealbreaker, had to delete the app on both my Mac and iOS. It’s such a basic feature that most browsers have, am disappointed that it’s not on opera with all the new features and designs. Opera needs to go back and fix the basics

Opera makes a comeback in the mobile world!. As an avid Opera user on PC/Mac and Linux, I became ecstatic when I saw their new browser here on iOS! For the first release wasn’t released to long ago, I think this is very good, and can’t wait to see what the future brings! Their desktop browser has been my main choice because of its ability to run on slower hardware, it is very quick especially with its Turbo mode, and it provides fairly decent customization and it is quite stylish. Way to go Opera! Can’t wait to see more here! 😁👍🏻

Google rejects its useragent on other sites. I was eager to get the same adblocking I had with Opera on my Kindle, but though I can sign in to Google itself, trying to use my Google account on other sites is blocked with 403 Forbidden as Google rejects Opera's useragent and asks me to use Safari or Chrome instead. Since this means I can't log in to the site I spend the most time on with my iPad (The Old Reader) as well as a variety of other sites I like to use my Google account on, the browser is basically useless to me. The "touch" features were awkward on an iPad in landscape mode as they seem to assume a phone used in portrait mode, but this app looked like my only option for Opera on this device.

My favorite browser. It took me some time to figure out that the most basic functions are accessed by holding down the purple button, but once I figured that out, I was up and running. Offers all of the best features of other browsers and then some. Fast. Only two problems: 1) more people should use it so webmasters start coding their websites for Opera instead of Chrome (Google collects and sells data), and 2) I do wish saved login/password info would be synced between desktop and Opera Touch. Opera team does a great job of cranking out improvements every time you turn around (keep up the good work!).

Nicely organized. Much faster than most browsers because it is less stuffy and clean. I absolutely love the “my flow” feature and the ability to pick up your current screen from another screen. Great if you have multiple devices. Using my Desktop and iPhone often, I can interchangeably pick up from where I left off between the two. It has a friendly interface and easy to use setup. Keep up the great work! You’ve definitely got a new loyal user in me.

I like it so far. The one thing that I just find inconvenient is the fact that you can’t search for a specific tab on mobile, I kinda gotta scroll for a while just to try and find a specific tab for a manga that just got updated and it takes quite a bit of time because I be having Alot of tabs open nor can I just switch to different tabs by like swiping the top of the screen I literally have to open the tab library and scroll up until I find it

FreevVPN. I decided to use this browser for the included free VPN. So far, so good, although the VPN dropped frequently, the last update appears to have fixed this issue. I find the news feed feature dreadful, so I turned it off. Decent ad blocker. Recently added wallpapers is a nice touch. Quick navigation feature works well. Wish clearing data and browsing history could be done with one button. You must use settings to do so. Qwant search engine is excellent and offered as a choice. Free VPN is a unique feature and it is the clincher. I say this browser is definitely worth a try.

Open link in other tab not working. Chrome has ways been the browser of my choice but now I have opera both on PC and phone because it won me with features and more compared to the othera, but am not happy with some simple things and makes me unhappy. On PC account and sync not working in latest update which is something one can live without but necessary and what makes me write this is on phone opening a link in other tab is I don't know how it works but locks onto closed tab and will be opening it for u I don't know but pls look to it because some simple things are really important. Thanks

I’m disappointed at me for not using it earlier.. Oh my this browser is just awesome. I have always been using safari or chrome on iPhone and IE on laptop. Now started using it on iPhone .. browsing if so fast and buttery smooth... and privacy is much better... ad free and no pop ups.. custom settings are much better than safari. Love it. So Just now I installed on my windows laptop as well.. and even more usable options on windows version. Messaging functions, free built-in VPN and such. And Love it.

Fantastic Feature Set. The developers here did a great job, considering how much Apple limits what you can do with web browsers on iOS. Basically you HAVE to use Mobile Safari under the hood. Apple just lets you put a new UI around it and add features through complex work arounds. But at the end of the day it's the mobile web browser equivalent of putting someone else's website inside yours using iframes lol. So with all those redirections, they still did a great job!! And without all the resources of a massive corporation like Google.

Just what I needed. Thanks to my son who told me about it. Very easy to use, built-in VPN, cryptocurrency mining protection, bookmark your sites as with an icon. No more clicking on little bars to open up something to open up to open up your links. Easy navigation. One thing I like os if you are watch video ans had to minimize the beowser, the bideo will start playing automatically when you maximize the browser. Best of all it’s fast. I deleted my chrome browser after a day of using this. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

can ONLY clear all cookies. there is NO option to clear cache for only one website, i tried looking everywhere and searching to see if i missed it but it’s either not an option or it’s extremely hard to find. it’s not even an option in site options as i tried with Google. so basically you have to sign in again for all of the websites you were logged into if you wanna clear only one website’s data, all because the devs were too lazy to make it an option and thought the limitation was justified because it’s a mobile app. i am fed up with app developers oversimplifying or limiting your options for no clear reason

No bookmark feature!. I really love Opera Browser and it’s my absolute favorite among all of the different browser options on iOS. It seems to be the fastest, the cleanest, and the most simple. My only gripe (and it’s a big gripe) is that there are no bookmark options! I kept thinking I was missing something because the Opera’s website advertises bookmark use. Turns out there is no bookmark option at all. This is a huge must for me, so I’m sad to have to delete the app and go to a different browser. I do hope in the future, bookmark feature will be added to iOS

OUCH. Opera was my sole browser for at least a decade, web surfing perfection, right up until the designers got overly creative in recent updates and annihilated everything great about it by loading it up with with AI and an assortment of other unnecessary dodgy fluff. Now many websites don’t work appropriately, most thumb nails don’t load in Speed Dial, auto play can’t be disabled, I missed an extremely crucial Microsoft Teams meeting because Opera refused to load the app, can’t sign into many websites and sends me into an infinite loop to the sign in page. They couldn’t have destroyed this once well-oiled browser of simplicity and browsing bliss more if they tried harder. Now I’m on the hunt for a browser to compare as closely as possible to this browser that I had once loved and greatly appreciated.

Opera is a good search engine. Overall very happy with it. Some improvements: 1. To delete all browsing history and pages you have to close all pages. This could be fixed by deleting all open pages as well. 2. Listening to download mp3 like old time radio shows etc, you have to keep the screen open and keep touching it to keep listening. 3. It should download shows or mp3s in the background so you don’t have to wait to listen, and save them until page is closed. Our internet is very slow and it i creases frustration a little. Thank you !!!
