Same as FTX disguised as legit?? they are a FRAUD. They lent out their customer crypto deposits and were never solvent. The did not hold crypto deposits 1:1 so they were exactly like FTX. The only difference is they halted withdrawals to avoid going Bankrupt. FTX allowed too many withdrawals too fast, and so they lost their entire business. Gemini on the other hand saw what happened to FTX and their solution was simply halt the withdrawals. They simply did not give customers back their deposits, so they hang onto their business and continue to get richer. FYI: It’s a crime when you can not get your own crypto back. Not sure why the Twinklevoss twins are not getting arrested, just like Sam! Misappropriation of Customer Funds is called FRAUD. These guys are billionaires and getting away with making the little people broke! Btw, they never paid high interest either. It was like 1%-2% on average. They were paying some of the lowest interest in the entire market and still lost customers funds to the tune of 1billion. Come on Twins! Pony up and make this right!

Horrible costumer service. Do not use Gemini. I’ve been using Gemini for a little over a month. At first I thought it was a great app, easy to use, bank transfers were fast. Until, they froze my account Because of a 3 week old money transfer that was frozen from my bank account at that time. My bank account had locked me out because I was trying to link it to another crypto exchange as well, I immediately had that resolved though and my bank account was unlocked. As for Gemini, after three weeks they finally realized one of my transfer was frozen, and froze my account for “security” purposes. I have been waiting a week since verifying my identity multiple times. I have not received a single email of acknowledgment from an actual person yet, it’s only bee automated emails. By the way, Email is the only way to contact them besides the phone number they offer just to give a silly recorded message and no actual customer service. As we speak my account is still frozen, I cannot access all of my money tied up on Gemini and clearly customer service is not at the top of their priorities. Go else where for your Crypto exchange.

Unreal Nonexistent customer service.. Opened an account on Gemini almost a month ago now. I’ve got many exchanges I use and have never had it take more than maybe 30min to an hr to be verified... I’ve emailed Gemini numerous times and like with lots of these horrible crypto sites you can’t get in touch with a human being just endless automated replies telling you they’re working blah blah blah... Honestly the death of these sites is going to come down to their customer service and Gemini fails in every department. If there is some sort of problem stopping you from verifying someone why wouldn’t inform the person? Instead I’ve waited nearly a month now and still haven’t heard a word from them. Don’t bother with this site in my honest opinion. You would think handling ppl’s hard earned money these ppl would have at least basic customer service lol they don’t even have that or close to it... I hope someone from the company reads this cause at this point they just lost tons of money in business!

Useless APP!. Can some genius in tech support add a SECURITY KEY feature to the APP???? When you download the GEMINI APP, you are FORCED to use the “authy” app to sign in. There are three tiers of security: 1. phone verification through text message (least secure), 2. Authenticator app (secure), 3. Security Key (VERY SECURE). Im dumbfounded as to why the developers haven't added a security key feature for the GEMINI APP yet. Its been YEARS. Nobody should have to downgrade their security just to use the GEMINI APP. In all honesty, its beyond ridiculous, non-sensical, and counter-productive. How about you fix that issue so people can pay their card balance ON TIME, CONVENIENTLY, not haphazardly. Right now you would need to sign on with a web browser (brave does not work) downgrade your settings to “authenticator”, set up an authenticator (if you didn't already set it up) and THEN, THEN log into your account. HUGE INCONVENIENCE. Must be able to navigate SMOOTHLY between the GEMINI WEBSITE and the GEMINI APP Please fix.

Has potential, but it’s just bad.. Not sure where to start. You have to log into a separate browser to use the Gemini Trader interface, which has lower fees. Should be able to do it in app or just have a separate app. I can’t figure out for the life of me what my cost basis is for each coin/token easily. I saw it once and can’t get back to that screen. This will be a NIGHTMARE come tax time. I don’t want to see in the history that I bought 1.9 of whatever token on this day. It’s not helpful at all if you can’t see what the price was in your currency. Which leads to the fact you can’t ever easily tell if you are up or down, because it just tells you that you bought x amount of tokens on this day, and there are no graphs to show you if it’s individually up or down. It’s also impossible to figure out how your investments are doing as a whole, because it shows you that your entire “portfolio” went up when you make a deposit or withdrawal. I mean this is the most basic of charting to see how your investments are doing, and this app has none of it, which is quite shocking. It does get 2 stars because it’s one of the only apps you can use in NY to buy crypto, but it’s extremely frustrating to track your investment performance.

US/NY residents welcome. Unlike most of the biggest trading platforms out there, Gemini is NY/ US friendly, this has got to be among the top reasons why I Gemini. My second favorite part of Gemini app so far is the selection of coins/ tokens they have available. I’m more into crypto so for me so far I like it. I really hope they can some how allow to withdraw with the same debit card you buy crypto with. Not all of us are able to open a bank account. But hey I just found out that we can send Bitcoin or Ethereum to any Bitcoin or Ethereum address, so I guess that’s a good way around that. Lastly, add BNB to the collection? This will not only make it an amazing platform but it will definitely put it on top of many other platforms competing to be the greatest. I hope you guys add BNB please thank you. Last point that really stood out to me is the good work with your customer service, it is flawless. 👍🏾

Don’t Expect to Withdraw Anything. I used this a couple times to buy some crypto which worked fine I guess but when I decided I didn’t want to trade crypto anymore and wanted to just get my money back I realized just how unnecessarily complicated that was going to be. The only method to make a withdrawal is by linking your bank account. They support PayPal but only for deposits so you can’t withdraw money to that. To add your bank account it uses Plaid to actually login to your bank which requires you to enter your logon credentials for your banking website, confirm your routing and account information and then it’s linked. You would think that would be enough but no you still need to verify your bank account by completing a wire transfer to Gemini for security purposes before they’ll let you actually withdraw anything. At this point it would be easier to put everything back in crypto and transfer to a different wallet. I will never use this again. I just want my money back since I keep getting texts reminding me I have a balance and I shouldn’t have to jump through so many hoops to do it.

SCAM THEY STOLE 3k by freezing my account and never answer back to my email. Great way to invest into crypto and a week later they your account frozen and they ask for the same iD and selfie of your self write on paper a case number show them the same ID when i sended it 15 times they won’t responde it’s been over two weeks can’t talk to a real person either all email and bots responding back it’s took me 6 months to get verification and approve I place money to buy coins as a gift for my kid I don’t get to spend time anymore with since I lost my vision they took all of my money I deposit 3k all I got is my bank verification that my money did get taken out from Gemini and only this platform so I’m waiting to see what happens next I don’t want others to have to suffer this way I suggest BNB PLATFORM THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL AND THEY DON’T ROB PEOPLE FOR YOUR MONEY EITHER LIKE GEMINI TRYING TO DO TO ME WILL SEE LUCKY THEIR WAS SCREEN SHOTS TAKEN ALSO FORM WHAT I HAD BEFORE THEY FROZE MY ACCOUNT NOT EVEN WORTH DEALING WITH THIS SCAMMERS PLATFORM. They should get shut down immediately as they are not user friendly and stealing people money don’t matter if your blinded they will take it all like they doing to me.

Missing transfer. ***Issue resolved*** Gemini customer support was able to resolve my issue. So I’ve adjusted my rating from 1 to 3 stars. Gemini customer support needs additional methods of contact. My issue took 10 days to resolve to be appropriately credited. I was able to make an account & verify seamlessly. I did a test transfer of about $300 of fil coin. Arrived within minutes and was appropriately credited in my account. Then I transferred over $5000 worth of DAI coin and here is where the problems started. The transfer completed within minutes. The problem? It’s not showing up in my account despite the transfer being completed. So I wait a day before contacting support. I contact support through the only method possible email. I wait a day or so before I get a response and am told it will need to be escalated but will take quite some time before next steps are available. First off This type of support is completely unacceptable, especially when dealing with larger amounts of money. There should at minimum be some type of live support. I just want what’s rightfully mine back and I want some responsive assistance until I get my funds back. Outside of this serious issue I’ve never had any problem, but beware of sending large amounts of money.

Can’t withdraw your money — Fraud scheme. Trader beware. Gemini is a clever way for the developers to steal your money in small increments. First of all the trading platform is awful and fills orders at $150-$200 above the ticker, regardless of direction of price movement. Second the fees are higher than any other platform out there for the worst quality service. Third once they get you to deposit your money it will be stuck in Gemini unless you make $25 wire transfers, and only if it even works since their withdrawal system has proven not to work (when you add your bank it doesn’t show up as a withdrawal method even though it’s supposed to, forcing you to verify your bank through wire transfers. And even that probably won’t work because there is either a good chance your available funds won’t show up in the withdrawal section or won’t provide a method to withdrawal even though you’ve provided one through their Plaid instant verification system). Fourth they offer gimmicks like $25 free Bitcoin for making a $100 trade which they never deliver and even if they did would not even cover their trade and withdrawal fees for one transaction. If you are looking to do anything at all with Crypto, stay as far away from this company as you can.

Great trading app that's never let me down. Done all my trading through gemeni and have never had a single issue. They're always fast cordial and amazing about their services. Everytime I pull money out of my trading account it's in my account usually the next day or day after even though they tell you it could be a week I've never waited that long which is always the best, under value and over deliver and sure as heck they did so which always is amazing. I also use their interest savings account through Gemini dollars linked to the US dollar. I'm currently making 8% interest on a savings account that took just a few clicks to setup. That's a amazing earn rate for a simple savings account IMO

Seemingly poor customer service. This is an issue that still has not been resolved yet. I opened an account with Gemini a few weeks ago, started converting some cash into crypto to send to a third party. After I'd only completed two sends, my account got put on a hold. I understand this, especially for a new account. However, their response to my inquiries on status, and length of processing is abysmal. After this, I have not been able to do any sort of transaction or moving of my money in Gemini because it says my account is on hold and needs to be reviewed for further notice. This was over two weeks ago. I had opened a ticket to get this issue resolved and I got some preliminary feedback from them after a few days saying that they are working on the case and things are busy. However, their response times to my questions have been very lengthy as the last response I have heard from them has been over a week ago. Normally, this wouldn't be as big of an issue, but when it's involving plenty of my money (of which I have limited amounts) tied up in some exchange, it becomes very frustrating when I have no idea what is going on and for them to do a simple review of my account is taking over two weeks. For now, I am not very impressed with their service and hope to see it improve in the future. At this point I cannot recommend this app to others.

One of the Best Exchanges for U.S. Citizens. Being a citizen of the USA is not good a good thing when it comes to crypto trading, staking, participating in liquidity pools or any of the new offerings available to the rest of the world. Gemini app is good, desktop online version is better. For what’s available to US Citizens, it’s probably the best. App could easily be 5 stars with: ActiveTrader access, better reporting which actually showed cost basis, current % gain/loss, current USD gain/loss, the ability to see all of your individual holdings/and portfolio’s value in BTC value, more BTC trading pairs ie; FIL/BTC, MKR/BTC, MANA/BTC, ZRX/BTC, COMP/BTC, AAVE/BTC, AMP/BTC, REN/ BTC, SNX-UNI-UMA-1INCH-GRT/BTC. etc,etc you get the point. Some people happen to believe that fiat USD is toast and that accumulating BTC is the way to build wealth. Which, I suspect, may be the reason Gemini and all US exchanges aren’t letting people easily access BTC via these trading pairs.

Beginner/Novice BEWARE!!. First off, the creators/owners of this app are true OG’s in the crypto world. Heck, they are true OG’s when it comes to technology and the future **cough** (Faceb....k) but what do I know? So, the app is good, it’s safe, and it will lead the way and beat out competition through the years. However, for those finance novices - this is an EXCHANGE. So, while some hate on Coinbase as they try to compare it simply doesn’t work. With Coinbase you own your digital assists, can remove them from Coinbase and send elsewhere, or into cold storage if need be. In terms of this app, Gemini, you only get the rights to trade and never own the assets. This is a very contradictory thing for two of the most influential people in crypto, because it goes against the core ethos of crypto and even DeFi. Hopefully they will add the ability to OWN your assets instead of then taking your hard earned money to borrow, so they can buy their own assets instead.

Still not verified. I believed in this app and want to use it I have Coinbase as well but the problem with this app is that I was able to make only 1 purchase of crypto and after that I have been waiting over a month for verification! My bank card and bank account and license have all been verified that’s why I was able to make the 1 transaction! All my information linked but here I am still pending verification for over a month ! I really want to use this app and I like the way it’s setup ! I do want to keep using it but it’s making it really hard for me since I am basically in limbo until it’s verified! I have sent countless emails to no avail! I just keep getting the same response due too the high volume blah blah blah!!! Onward and upward! Well I am stuck in limbo and can’t go onward and upward because of this issue ! I have been waiting patiently ! And I still want to use this app . Please Gemini verify my account . I am a legal citizen and own my own Buisness ! I am not doing anything illegal ! All I am trying to do is invest for me and my children’s future and I feel stuck because there is something wrong with this apps verification process!!!!

Good idea, but poor execution. The idea of this app is great but it lacks big in terms of an investment application. The data for prices changes are delayed and not in real time for each crypto, but that’s fine. My biggest gripe with this application is how awful the portfolio tab is. There is no way to break down your transactions and fees; all you are given is the amount you spent to get x amount crypto, the fees you paid are not included in this. This renders the application essentially useless from an investment standpoint. Does Gemini expect me to write down each transaction fee in order to keep a running tally and figure out whether I’m up or down overall? I want to see in real time if I’m at a deficit or making money. If you purchase crypto the same day your portfolio will simply tell you that you’re up however much percent based solely on your deposit/purchase. There’s no real way to see returns here and that’s the most troubling thing for me personally. Hopefully the UI improves with time.

Plus…Best crypto trading platform experts in recovery of frozen Bitcoin!. I was so impatient to carry out necessary research but i really wanted to jump on the crypto trading and investment buzz. Unfortunately for me, I invested 65,000 GBP worth of bitcoin with a fraudulent company. I was happy to watch my account grow to 240,000 GBP within a couple of weeks. But i didn't realize i was dealing with a scam company, until i tried to make an attempt to withdraw. I made a withdrawal request, and noticed my account was suddenly blocked for no apparent reason. I tried contacting customer support, but all to no avail. I needed my money back at all cost, because i could not afford to let it go. So i tried all possible means to make sure i recovered my scammed bitcoin. I did a lot of online search for help, and tried to see if there were other people who had any similar experience. Beware of Scam. This company is a complete scam. Use Coinbase or Binance instead. I have used several other exchanges with absolutely zero issues. Gemini’s system tried to initiate an ACH from an account that I didn’t select, causing me to receive fees and locking up my deposit. I’ve read numerous other companions online of people having the same issue. To date, the issue still has not been resolved. Gemini doesn’t respond to emails whatsoever and their policy is to not take any phone calls. It even says so on their voicemail. Do yourself a favor and try calling their phone number to see what kind of business they are running and then decide if this is the kind of business you want to be dealing with when there’s an issue. What financial institution doesn’t take phone calls? That should be your first sign that they are not a reputable business. I am in the process of reporting them to my local attorney general as well as the BBB. If you’re in the same boat as me, I recommend you do the same to put pressure on them.

The fee is too high and it’s hard to withdraw. I use coinbase, evercoin and also coinseed and just try with Gemini. Worst mistakes. I setup to buy 5 stocks all at once and they charge 1 time fee but then when you want to sell then they will charge for each single fee again. Which are higher then coinbase. They only have 5 crypto. Then when you want to withdraw your money and close the account. I need my bank to approved ach transfer. They know how to take money out from your bank but when you want to withdraw they make you do every steps. This app is not worth it because there are better option out there. Coinbase is the best then Evercoin is also good and coinseed is good for someone who is new to crypto. But Gemini fees are too high and trying to withdraw is troublesome.

Poor customer service. Hello I highly dislike leaving bad reviews especially when I feel a company like Gemeni has great potential. My account started out great until I decided I was going to do some stuff on my phone. I started my account on my iPad. There is no reason I shouldn’t be able to log back in on my phone. I feel like we are way too advanced with technology for this to have happened. Needless to say I am disappointed in how poorly my very simple problem was handled. The system locked me out my account. I emailed on two separate occasions and have not gotten any response. The email back to me said they needed to verify it was me trying to get into my account. I replied back that it was me and I had the proof but no response. I then tried again weeks later because I was trying to give Gemeni the benefit of the doubt especially because it said that the ticket volume were high. How long does it Take to get a response? I feel like the situation could have been handled the same day and even within hours but I got nothing. I am customer trying to use the platform and I can’t. Lol can someone do something about this thanks.

Exceptionally Remarkable Great App!!. This app is such a great app that is very much easy to use and convenient to keep digital assets such as bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies. There might be a few things that the app needs to fix but you can’t get more qualities of a safe crypto wallet with functionalities that vary such as this user friendly app. For a long time now I’ve been trading crypto and making more profit from NFT and different coins including bitcoins which is something I cannot just stop doing. It takes patience and a lot more calculations to be able to make profit but the gains put me on the edge. Very solid so far. Offers very attractive APY for crypto. It seems the less popular the higher the APY (sort of) and vice versa. A lot of incentive to hold some of their own native coin (a stable coin) and gives a high APY on that as well (approximately 7%). Som crypto’s are at 8% APY. One feature that is missing that I think majority (if not all) crypto apps do is to see a coins trend from a specific time stamp to another specific time stamp. Instead it is fixed at: day, week, month, year. Sometimes I would like to see 3 month or 6 month as a year could take a lot of detail out of the graph. And for older coins (like Bitcoin) the jump from 1 year to the “all” is like 7 years. Why can’t we see last 2 years or 2.5 years etc. but like I said pretty much every app doesn’t have this feature.

Disappointing. I had issues with verification. I sent my ID, filled out my personal information, was even able to connect a bank account through ACH. But then I was told I would have to send a wire transfer in order to confirm my identity. Well that was a bit ridiculous but ok. Waited a day then after work I called my main bank, SoFi, and found out that they only do wire transfers for home loans. Which is kind of messed up but I never have had to use it except this odd request. Couldn’t call my other bank bc by that time it was closed. The next day after work I ended up calling my local credit union paid the ridiculous fee, entered the information I was given by Gemini, verified the DocuSign file, and… it was sent back. I was apparently given the wrong transfer information. Frustrated I had to take an extra step that apparently not all have to do I gave up and went back to Coinbase and signed up for Coinbase pro. Started trading within five minutes…

Not for everyone. First off let me start by saying that cash is king. While I like the features of the card, Gemini is not easy to use for people who are not ready to go all in.I do not allow any app or company to have access to my bank account PERIOD. This presents a lot of different problems using this line of credit. They take weeks to process a payment if you do not submit it through your bank account. In my particular case my bank will print a check and mail it to companies who don’t accept digital payment. Guess what? Gemini doesn’t allow digital payment from a bank unless they are tied to that account. That’s a big problem for me. If you need to log into your account and you don’t have your phone, you can’t login to your account. There is no option to do it without your phone. Very inconvenient I don’t live with my phone. You can’t actually get a hold of anyone in person. It’s all AI and emails. At the end of the day this was just too easy to use and more difficult to pay back than all of my other credit cards. If you’re a responsible and secured credit card user (800 credit score) you’ll see what I mean if you choose this company. I personally have shelved it.

HORRIBLE LOSSES AND FROZEN. After yesterdays losses in the crypto market I sold low and intended to buy at bottom and profit dollar cost average but to my surprise I woke up to my account frozen. They wanted a selfie of me with my license and message in the picture. Now it’s still frozen and no response but “we’ll let you know the next steps.” WHAT!? So now I’ve lost thousands because I have no access to my account. I personally am filing a complaint with the BBB and writing a motion to the judge in NY to seek punative damages and make sure no one else experiences this tradgedy. Literally NO reason to freeze me. NOTHING! Do not use them unless you want to fight to keep your money even if you earn after all their heavy mobile app fees. Use active trader if anything. I’ll keep the community posted.

Customer service issues. The service and functionality of the platform is mostly good and works without too many issues. The app has a huge flaw that seems like a known issue: the custom alerts for prices doesn’t work. Market alerts seem to work fine (based on large movements in value) but custom alerts (set by the user for specific price thresholds) don’t work at all. When contacting customer service, the response rate is hit or miss. I’ve had a few helpful responses but mostly completely inconsequential and unhelpful responses. It’s hard to know if you’re issues are actually be addressed or not. Most recently, I received a response after a thread of some back and forth saying that my issue (alerts not working) was being escalated. This exchange was with someone named Saul. Then someone replied to the thread, addressed me as Saul , and walked me through how to set alerts (which wasn’t my issue) and advised to me uninstall and reinstall the app to fix unaddressed issues. Does not instill confidence that the issues are actually being addressed behind the scenes.

DO NOT USE GEMINI. This app has been nothing but a source of frustration for me. When I first signed on I was given a couple of weeks to buy, sell, and trade.I was verified at that point. After a few weeks out of the blue they decided they needed to verify me again. I sent my credentials in over and over and over again. I sent both invalid US passport and a valid California drivers license. Every time, for months, they said it was too blurry. It was nearly 5 months when I tried again and basically told him I was going to take action if my funds were not released to me. Magically they verified my identity at that point. Now I’m back on there and I’m trying to sell everything because I’m obviously it going to use this app. My bank card is verified for buying crypto on the app but for some reason they will not let me use it to withdraw. It keeps sending me to a verification process ,even though the card is already verified, and then a wall. It seems to me that the Gemini app is designed in a way that’s convenient for them but that creates many obstacles for the user to have access to funds. As soon as I can have my funds withdrawn I will not use this app and I do not recommend it to anyone. They wasted four months of the bull run for me.

Find something better or whatever you invest will get trapped. I’ve had Gemini for a couple of months already, but have just recently started using it. After setting up my own wallet, I tried to transfer my funds to my new wallet, but while going through the ropes of connecting the two, the app got hung up with unexplained issues in red letters telling me there was a problem. It was the last portion of setup where you can nickname the attached address. Now I have to wait for support to get back to me in order to figure out what’s up with this as it is beyond annoying when your money is being blocked from your access, regardless of malicious or technical issues. Also, whenever I try and make a one time withdrawal and enter how much I want to withdraw, it says I have nothing so I can’t transfer or manipulate any of my currencies between both of these problems. In closing, if you want to throw money into something that is riddled with bugs and issues, this is your app. If basic functions are compromised, what can be said about the security of the app itself?

Great for beginners; pretty good for pros. I came to Gemini after hearing about gemini earn. The entire verification process was very simple and quick (WAY quicker than binance or coinbase). I was trading the same day I signed up. I came over from coinbase pro and my coins transferred over no problem. As far as user experience, its been great so far (been using about 2 months). I can see how the UI can be very beginner friendly and can make trading crypto less intimidating. As for an experienced trader, this app doesnt really offer a ton of fluff. The desktop website offers a “pro” experience with active trader, but the app doesnt have such features. Gemini earn has also been flawless so far. Probably the easiest/best way to start earning interest on your crypto. I only put about half my balance into earn given there are some risks associated with loaning out your coins. But the returns are legit and get reinvested into your balance. Overall its been a great experience. I wish the app offered some more advanced features for experienced traders, but I cant complain too much given how smooth the app has been.

Best if you live in NYC. Due to regulations for New York residents exchanges must comply with certain laws so we are stuck with very few exchanges. It is KYC so they will ask for your personal information but it’s a great off rand and easy great looking application. They have a select amount of coins( If an admin is reading PLEASE ADD SOME DEFI COINS or others at least.) Also not a snake like Coinbase they share information with the FBI/Other government office’s. Overall great app besides that last concern would be exchange does have a record of shutting down during extreme volume in the market but I’m sure with all the money that is being made THIS SHOULD NOT BE A FUTURE PROBLEM. Don’t quote me on that I just think it should always be running.

Potential w/ Intentional Obfuscation. Gemini was the first app I discovered that allowed me to buy crypto with relative ease, and I’ve never had any issues with selling tokens or transferring large amounts of USD back to my bank account. In a world full of pump-n-dump schemes and relative unknowns, I can appreciate that the tokens on Gemini have gone through *some* kind of vetting process. With all that said, the % based purchase fees are way too steep and disable any real potential to obtain a respectable profit, which is really frustrating. Gemini also doesn’t track what that purchase fee was within your transaction history either, which feels really shady to me. For example, if I buy $10 of any token, and if the purchase fee was $3 then I only purchased $7 of that token. Yet my transaction history for that token will show that I purchased $10 worth without even a hint of the $3 transaction fee. This is financially, and ethically, inaccurate. Additionally, any deposit or withdrawal to your Gemini account will be charted as a gain or loss within your account overview, which makes it extremely difficult over longer periods of time to determine how things are going. Overall, I want to like and recommend Gemini, but my issues with it all feel like efforts to intentionally obfuscate a users activity within their app. This makes it hard for me to recommend Gemini, or rate the app highly.

Bad. You guy only use the app to steal from people a friend of mine just told me he purchase small quantity of crypto on Gemini app just to test if the app is okay and the two transactions was successful with no issue or problem but as soon as he decided to purchase over a thousand worth of crypto you guy decide to restrict his account for weeks and after that your customer support lied to him that they’ve returned his money back into his debit card which was a lie and as soon as he follow the instruction that you gave him to convert his crypto into usd you guys took all his money out of the usd which is very bad. You guys are nothing but a scammers using this stupid app to steal from innocent hardworking people. Am sure you will not post this but I will make sure I make video and keep writing about this till you are destroy but I will only give you few days to rectify the problem of the people you are restricting and banning from your app and I hope my friend is part of them because I introduced the app to him and if not one bad can destroy thousands of good things anyway. Considering Gemini? THINK AGAIN. Either this company sells your info or they’ve had a data breach.. I signed up for their “service” this year because I was gonna transfer just a little brave (Bat) coin and now after a few months I’m getting the same crypto spam every week from random email accounts to 2 separate emails that have no connection to one another whatsoever EXCEPT through Gemini. Hind sight tells me I should have used a forwarding address because now both of my secure emails that I use for financial purposes are potentially compromised UPDATE: Just to forewarn people; the developers only use the app reviews for app improvements.. app works fine but only minimal ability vs the website. However, I would ultimately steer clear of this company in general as they didn’t inform me of the 5.6M+ users that had their email addresses stolen from a 3rd party data-mgmt company as this has increased the spam to my inbox by 10X… actually had to Google it to find out that email addresses had been stolen from one of their 3rd party data mgmt companies -and as I mentioned before they didn’t care to inform me that this was the case and probably nobody else that has entrusted them with their financial data. Will be contacting them tomorrow to make sure the rest of my data is eliminated from their system(s) and hopefully anyone that uses Gemini or is considering Gemini will make the responsible choice regarding this company.

Gemini Crypto Journey. I have enjoyed some of my experiences while using Gemini, but i must add it doesn’t allow you the ease of sharing and exchanging to other wallets, which makes it cumbersome to build my portfolio and diversify. There’s a small coin representation making purchasing crypto very limited. Typically, I feel most people join these websites or exchanges for certain coins as I did, and learn how to deal with the rest of the process. Can be chaotic and confusing I’m sure for someone new to crypto. Signing up was possibly the best I have experienced. Overall, I’m satisfied because I wanted the staking opportunities provided here with this wallet, knowing quite well this website is growing and will adjust over the coming months and year as this market explodes. I am to learning better ways to streamline investing and hodling crypto currencies! Cha-Ching! 💰

Good, but a lot of room for improvement.. UPDATE: Customer service responded and stated that freezing your funds is normal. If you deposit any new funds or make a purchase your portfolio is locked until the transfer is cleared in around 5 business days. Now that I know that I can use the platform with those expectations. I like the interface quite a bit, very intuitive. The biggest issues I've come across so far are the processing times and the daily limits. You purchase a coin, and even though the the funds are cleared by the bank in 24 hours you are not allowed to withdraw for 5 business days. The issue is that they freeze your entire portfolio. Meaning you can't withdraw any previously purchased or transfered crypto. The daily deposit/ withdrawal limits are also very low compared to other big platforms. Have been a user for almost two years. There seems to be no automatic increases...

My first Gemini experience. I have had an account open for about a year but have not funded it till today. I have upgraded my account to Active Trader status. I have funded my account. I have transferred digital assets from another exchange. I have placed assets to earn. So far the experience is smooth and easy to navigate. I use three other competitive exchanges. My reason for finally trying Gemini is that it is one of the last reliable exchanges to offer interest on assets. For how long this will be available is anyones guess. I am not a trader, so I prefer to earn and increase my token balance however slightly. Using DCA and Compounding. I will be trying the limit order process soon. Let’s see how it goes!

Customer service. Hey, I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to share my recent experience with Gemini's customer service. Unfortunately, I have to say that I had a really poor encounter with them. One day, I woke up to find that there was a restriction on my account, even though I had just credited it. I immediately reached out to them via email, as it's the only way to make a complaint. However, their response was quite frustrating. They asked me to provide a picture of myself holding my id I usedfor verification, and also answering some personal questions which seemed unnecessary and unusual. Even after I complied with their request, they stopped replying to my emails. This left me in a state of confusion and disappointment, as my issue remained unresolved with no other means of reaching out to them. I use to enjoy their service, but after this experience, I can't recommend it anymore, especially when it comes to making deposits via wire transfer. Their lack of communication and support can be really frustrating. In my opinion, Gemini's customer service leaves much to be desired.

A great app, though a bit choppy. This app is truly wonderful! I would give it 5 stars as soon as some of the choppiness gets taken out.* It is easy to trade on this exchange and it’s lovely to be able to earn interest on many coins. The design is great. I love being able to separate those funds that are tradeable with the funds that are presently earning interest. The fees seem pretty normal for most exchanges, but I’ve honestly got no clue what kinds of percentages I should be expecting. Overall, I love and regularly use the app. *After adding something to my “watchlist”, there is a gray box that comes over the screen that lets me know the “action” I just took. It’s not a huge deal but definitely worth mentioning, since you are unable to perform any action while you wait for the action pop-up to disappear.

THE WORST INVESTMENT APP. I am completely honest with this review, I got nothing but inconvenience from using this app. I have investments all over, money and crypto and by far this is the only app that will require you to do a bunch of steps and spend more money just to get your money. It’s ridiculous and fishy, my bank was so doubtful of them which I can’t blame them. My husband didn’t have any problem withdrawing funds from his coinbase account. I should’ve listened to him and used the same up for crypto investment. I told everyone I know about staying away from this app. I have lost $70 just to do wire transfer so I can get my bank verified so I can withdraw my money. So far, I still haven’t gotten my money back yet. The customer service was doing their best to do their jobs but how Gemini as a company works is something they have no control over. So I still thank them for helping out and listening to my frustration. It’s not in my nature to leave a review unless but this experience is unbelievable that I have to let people know. Never use this app for crypto at all. It’s not worth it at all. If you want to invest in crypto use coinbase.

Clean interface but the wallet is unusable. The verification process says 2-3 days. It’s been almost a month and due to the fact there is no customer support. I can’t get in touch with anyone from Gemini and I’m pretty much stuck waiting till I can transfer my funds and delete this wallet. The customer support is so bad I came to the App Store to write this review hoping someone would read it and reply to one of my many emails I have sent. Great idea. Poor execution. Waiting on verification for a while but finally have been approved.. Love the app and have been purchasing crypto for months and trading via Gemini exchange but for some reason my verification is still pending after 3 months and I can transfer or withdraw any funds, but I can buy and trade which should mean I’m verified!! I’ve emailed constantly but get a pre written response on instructions for using the exchange, I can’t get a answer as to why I’ve not been granted verification especially after uploading over 20 documents!!! Otherwise I love the app due to lightning fast purchase to trade transactions, security, design, and the ability to purchase gift cards. Definitely more trusting and customer oriented than coinbase where one accidentally charge back gets you banned or eternity even you pay it back !!! User friendly. Update: it’s been a couple of months and I’ve opened accounts on Gemini for my siblings and we are all #hodl. I’ve personally earned $140 in one month from the Earn program and I love seeing my money grow in a variety of ways. This is our future let’s get it rolling! STRONGLY DON’T RECOMMEND. A friend of mine referred me to this app. I went ahead and set up an account which requires providing rather sensitive information. SSN, Bank Account, DL photo, etc. Once I completed the process, I received email notification that my account was set up and I was ready to purchase digital currency. My first attempt was rejected for “insufficient privilege” (whatever that means) so I tried again with only a $100 transaction which was again denied. Then I received email notifications that my account had exceeded its limit. THEN I received an email stating that my account had to be closed with no explanation as to why. I reached out to customer support who sent me a pre-scripted email with instructions on uploading a photo of myself with my DL (which I already provided) and a handwritten note with todays date on it. When I asked the support representative why I was being asked to do this and what assurances they could give me for having to do this, they only sent back the same pre-scripted message. This whole operation feels like a scam to get peoples sensitive information. I am instantly regretting signing up for this app and would strongly encourage people to find another avenue for your crypto purchases!

They locked my account. I got approved for their credit card, I made an account, hooked up my bank account to it. I made a wire transfer to verify my account and Gemini locked my account down without even sending me an email telling me they did so. I have reached out at least 5 times in the span of 2-3 weeks and they haven’t said anything to me besides their basic pre programmed messages. I have called their phone number to inquire about my issue and their automated voice message says you can have to go through email with your issues…….yet they don’t get back to you what so ever! They send an automated email asking if you still need assistance and I’ve replied to every email saying that “yes, I do need help still” and they do not reply back. I 100% regret applying for their credit card, making an account and especially hooking up my bank account with them. This is a terrible way to do business. Completely poor job and I would very much like my account back please. Please help me with my issue.

Poor system for handling security issues / minimal to non existent contact support. Update*** going over a month now…. Only auto prompted responses that they appreciate my patience while they look into my issue. Customer service is a joke, highly advise not to put any money into this app. Very untrustworthy…. To the representative who tried to reply to my review… do better as your response was no more or less helpful than the automated replies I get by your only automated email customer service. Security for this application is weak. If there is any threat or unauthorized access, be prepared to go days without access to your portfolio or being able to trade. Account still frozen pending their review despite the fact I sent all verifiable documents days ago…. No access to my account no access to buy or sell. No response from support. Had to switch to another crypto platform. Worst of all, absolutely no telephone support but email only which for me has proven near useless to reach somebody.

Easy To Use Platform Just Some Minor Tweeks. For a new Crytpo Trader Gemini is super user friendly however I wish it had some features like E*TRADE that doesn’t require me to go to Gemini Pro. Like I’d love to track exactly how many of my US Dollars I’ve invested relative to what I’ve lost or gained. I can only see what I’ve lost or gained but not exactly how much capital I’ve put in so far. I wish Gemini earn would have the same “Convert Feature” Coinbase has where I can exchange my coins instead of having to sell them then repurchase. That’s pricey. I also wish there was a true staking assistance feature like Coinbases to go along with the Gemini earn feature I would be willing to pay less of an APR for Gemini to stake my coins for me without having to risk screwing something up If you could do all these things I’d give this app a 5 stars

Pretty good so far…. The mobile app is pretty good. It keeps everything pretty streamlined and uncluttered, which is always good. As it sits now though, it’s just not better than three stars. There’s four things that would help make the app great for me. 1. The ability to place limit orders. 2. In addition to the average buy price, show the actual buy price for each transaction. 3. Show buy/sell transactions separately from earn transfers. 4. This is the big one, MAKE IT WORK ON AN IPAD!!!!!!!!!!!! I don’t want to use the the iPhone screen size on an iPad, not even with the zoom feature. Make it a separate app, charge $3.99, create a “pro version”, whatever, just don’t recycle the phone app and slap it on an iPad. There’s so much potential. Create a multi-panel version with the portfolio graph, trading, earn balances on one side, and the buy/sell listing on the other side, or something. Just don't retread the iPhone version for the iPad.

Great Trading App and steady!. I love this app compare to Coinbase which has locked my balance and continues to show ID verification issues. Gemini seems to be a very steady app, easy to use, and well organized. I only gave it 4 stars because when it comes about the transactions, they are not clear and do not list the total fees per transaction. In some. Trades prices tend to be higher, not just if it is because of the type of crypto that has been traded. For example, I traded $3,050 on STORJ and I noticed the fee was about $45 for the purchased, at the some of sale, $3,250 a little over $50 for the fee. When I purchased, another crypto, I was approximately charged nearly $80 for transaction, and at the time of the sale another $80. Now we know why the twins are rich 🤑

I trust the Winklevoss Twins more than others (but still not that much). I decided to buy Bitcoin but didn’t want to have to keep my own key. I saw the Winklevoss twins on Realvision Finance on YouTube. I was going to use eToro, but the revelations about Hilaria Baldwin and Alek Baldwin defending her lie seemed a bad omen (as he advertised eToro). So I used Gemini. It’s been ok. Frequently unable to process buy orders, but I think that was across eToro and Coinbase at those times as well. So, in summary I don’t know much more than when I saw the Winklevoss Twins on Realvision, but I still believe in Bitcoin and I’ve found Gemini ok, and I think the Winklevoss Twins are trustworthy. So I hope their company is also.

Fraud. Do not download this app. It has been verifying my details for over a month. Any emails to support come back with answers that are extremely misleading eg “you must reply with a new ticket”... there is NO attempt to resolve the issue. Be very wary of this app. Do NOT use this to trade.

Terrible experience. I was unable to automatically add my bank account, so had to use the add bank account manually option which means a wire transfer. After a $40 bank fee to send the transfer, I was surprised to find only $80 of the $100 I transferred appeared in my Gemini account. I contacted customer service who were very nice and I believed tried to help me, but the customer service rep could only guess the $20 I was shorted, was some sort of other bank fee along the way of the wire transfer. There is also a buy and sell fee which ate up another $10 of my money. I decided maybe Gemini wasn’t the service for me so asked how I can get my remaining $70. Customer service instructed me to wire transfer it back into my account. When I attempted that option it said $135 is the minimum for a wire transfer. I doubt I will get back my $70 or hear from customer service again. If you are outside the USA DO NOT!!!! Use this service

Simple easy. Easy platform for non computer people to use. The major drawback is customer service/ lack the there of. Every time there is a global spike in trading, the app crashes and you miss out on either selling for profit or buying for future gains. Extremely frustrating. There is also no way to contact anyone. Just an email address that is rarely if ever responded to.

Best crypto exchange. I have had experience with several exchanges, this is by far the best!

Beautiful and simple. Something about Gemini secured deposit and withdrawal methods makes it seem way more secure especially for people looking into for the first time. Gemini makes it simple and on top of it all is one of the recommended exchanges with CIBC/RBC as I could not work those cards with anyone else.

Scam. This app scam do not use

No way to convert tokens. Coinbase simply allows you to convert one crypto to another without any additional charge but Gemini doesn’t have this feature. If you want to convert your tokens, you have to sell them paying some fess and then buy the one you want again paying more fees. Very bad exchange for crypto.

Incredible team, and an incredible app.. Love Gemini, there’s really no alternative if you’re in Canada. Especially for larger crypto deposits/purchases, you’ll save so much on transaction fees alone.

Withdrawals. Don’t bother withdrawing funds. So complicated and transfer fees are way to high. Easy to get money deposited but difficult or even impossible to get it back. If you like throwing aways funds and just have it to play around. Then this is good.

I just love to give it a try, but registration fails. Aggravating!. The app crashes upon registration. Unnerving and aggravating. You upload all of your personal information including social insurance number, etc. and then, when you go to finalize things by providing a photo of your photo identification, the app crashes over and over? Two weeks ago I sent a wire transfer from my RBC bank and I’m still wondering when would I hear from them and see the money somewhere. Endless UI bug and force CLOSED MY ACCOUNT. The app endlessly prompted UI errors while no further detailed message was given. I was just trying to add some fund to my account and after one day I was told via email that my account MUST be closed for some reason they cannot disclose. I been using lots of CEX and this one is definitely, without any doubt, the WORST CRYPTO PLATFORM I’ve ever used.

Harassment. As soon as you input your information you are harassed by callers multiple times a day. To a point where I deleted the app and told them to stop calling me. I’m still getting calls even after telling them to stop calling me

Not Very User-Friendly. Gemini is great for casual investing such as mine— but it could be more user-friendly. My USD balance showed -$125 after I had made a $125 investment from that balance. When I made the investment though, I had well over $125 in my balance. The balance changed randomly. I’m trying to deposit $125 from my checking account to pay that “debt,” it wouldn’t let me use my debit card. I added the debit card again, and it was just a wild goose chase trying to get it to work. I just updated the app, so maybe some kinks have been worked out. The balance definitely needs to be addressed. I’d also like to see a screen where you can see how much of the money in Gemini was your initial investment. The charts aren’t clear enough.

Coinbase overrated. I went with Coinbase,,because they were supposed to be #1. , well I transferred my money in, and then they informed me that I could only buy $1,000 a day, ok then after two days they sent me a notification that they had concerns about my security,but would review it and make the corrections,but what they did was froze my account and my money for 14 days and then when I inquired about when I’d be able to trade again they keep me in limbo for another week, so that’s when I hired an IT expert and he said I was being blocked during that little run up on crypto and I set up a new exchange with Gemini and had instant success and needless to say I’m done with Coinbase,by the way their support line... no existent!

The customer service is not there! You’ve been warned!. Don’t have a problem because if you do, god forbid you have $100k invested in this company, and you need help! WoW you have to wait maybe weeks upon months, upon weeks upon months to just get a human reply, I still haven’t got a human response! So be aware if you have a issue there phone number is just a information recording from 1984 VHS tape, that’s not helpful and there request help page is null & void! Sorry but I’m as honest as can be! This place wants your ID, multi forms of paperwork for verification purposes, it will take weeks to withdrawal anything, maybe never! I will take pre-caution investing into this company, I have linked two bank accounts and three debit cards, all in my name and they still won’t let me withdraw my own money, they take but never EVER GIVE BACK! Please be aware! It’s a scam....

So far so good. This being my first foray into crypto I found the experience easier and more straightforward than I anticipated. I have much more to learn about the structures of dealing with crypto currency from wallets, exchanges, regulations etc, (I’ll leave comprehending the blockchain to those who think in more theoretical terms...it gives me a headache), but I feel the best way to learn is by going through the experience. So far Gemini and their app has exceeded my expectations. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I’m a newbie and only have been involved a few weeks. If it continues to meet my expectations as I learn more what to expect I will update my review.

Fantastic Crypto Exchange. After reading “Bitcoin Billionaires,” which covers the life stories of the Winklevoss twins, I decided to do more digging into Bitcoin an the cryptocurrency world. Aside from learning about Gemini from the book, it turned out to be one of the best crypto exchanges out there, with a high emphasis on fund security. In terms of fees, the main platform is okay, but if you use the browser version and switch to ActiveTrader, you get a significant cut in buy/sell fees (as low as .25%), which is a bargain compared to most exchanges. As far as the app goes, I think it’s great to be able to check up on your portfolio conveniently. It’s well designed and has a great ui.

First experience with crypto - great app. I’ve been dipping into Crypto for the last month or so. Gemini by far seems to be the most straight forward app to use for a number of reason. Account setup is straight forward. Deposits from bank accounts transact instantly. They offer the ability to earn interested on coins right in the app as well as spend crypto at select vendors through Gemini Pay (Flexa/AMP). Those 3 features are my primary uses at this point and having them all in one secure place makes me much more comfortable getting my feet wet in the crypto space.

The only market for crypto. Getting into Bitcoin and other cryptos last year, I used a bunch of different exchanges. And when I got a hardware wallet I discovered how expensive it would be to DCA each month. Not only is Gemini the most user-friendly interface for buying and tracking the price of your favorite cryptos, it has the lowest transaction and exchange costs I’ve found anywhere else. I can’t believe anyone would use anything else to purchase their crypto. Like any mobile wallet, it shouldn’t be where you store any large amount of crypto long-term, but it is wonderful for holding smaller amounts and definitely for purchasing/exchanging cryptos.

Find a better exchange. It appears my crypto purchases are now just going to be held for 4-5 days regardless of how I pay. Gemini advertises withdrawal within an hour. An hour has gone by and I still don’t have access to my crypto which, to add insult to injury, is losing value while being held. It’s one thing to withhold crypto because it hasn’t “fully cleared”, but don’t advertise withdrawal in an hour if there’s a chance of not being able to do so. I’ll likely be looking for a better exchange to buy crypto from because if I ever decide to buy larger amounts of crypto, I don’t want to be stuck holding the bag just to have lost most of its value by time it “fully clears”. The smarter way of handling pending purchases in my opinion would be simply to not credit the crypto until the purchase has fully cleared, but that’s just me.

240k Gemini Earn Users, $1.1B lost, and lies! Stay away!. In my opinion, I would stay as far away from this company and its app as you can. Gemini is owned by Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss. Yes the same ones who sued Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook (now Meta). I, along with 240k other Gemini Earn Victims have had our funds frozen by Gemini since last November. Their customer service is abysmal. Their updates were so bad, Gemini Earn Victims had to demand in court they provide us regular updates. They led us to believe our investments were safe and secure. Meanwhile they lent our money to a company called Genesis, a subsidiary of DCG, owned by Barry Silbert, who is currently under investigation by the SEC and the NY Attorney General's Office. During the collapse of a series major crypto firms, they assured us our funds were safe, and had "no material exposure," to that fallout. Something we look forward to discussing with them in a court of law. They claimed they had no funds to pay us back, but mysteriously have enough to travel the world, giveaway free crypto to new suckers, gift Bitcoin Pez dispensers to dignitaries and others, while sponsoring events, and managing to executive produce the movie Dumb Money. Ironic, because now, I can say, if you put a single penny into Gemini, it really is dumb money. Stay away. Far away.

Awesome easy platform to trade crypto!. A lot of features set Gemini apart from other crypto platforms. The ease of use is at the forefront along with many different currencies to choose from and new currencies are added often. In terms of security I have not seen a platform more designed to ensure that your assets are kept very safe while still being accessible to you. Two-factor authentication along with face I.D. and approved addresses together provide the user with a security not often felt in the crypto world. I would like to see more currencies added along with more dapp integration, but buying and trading doesn’t get much easier and fees are reasonable.

Gemini delivering as promised.. So far so good. Opening an account was quick and smooth. Purchasing crypto is also easy. Flexible earning is not complicated and satisfying. Gemini stable coin currently offers 8.05% as well. Superb for stable coin hodlers. Finally, even transferred some crypto balances in from other exchanges. They were completed quickly. Well done Tyler and Cameron. Only request is add a few more coins. Perhaps Polkadot and Algorand. Thanks. Edit: a few months have passed. Still pleased. Happy with Gemini. Only minor gripe is that coin withdrawals can not be initiated from the main menu. Each coin should have its own withdrawal option featured within its menu. Still, 5 Stars.

Lagging behind competition for mobile app. Gemini desktop works fine, but the mobile app is absolutely horrendous. It takes 10+ seconds to update the view from different time periods. When you want to see the value of anything over the line chart it is slow and inaccurate. Most importantly you cannot make any other orders besides market orders on mobile. No stop limit, limit buys, limit sell orders, etc. These should be mandatory options for any trading app. These aren’t features, the fact that it is 2022 and these still aren’t here is inexcusable. Multiple times I have been filled on orders with over a 5-7% spread because I couldn’t place a limit order. Imagine pressing a button and automatically losing 7% of your money in the next second. That is what this app offers.

A very good crypto app. This is a great app for starting out in the crypto world. With a few improvements it could be the best: Better metrics and more education. It would be nice to be able to see pricing graphs in similar forms to other traditional securities apps (eg. Fidelity), the ideal would be able to see 1 hr, 3 hr, 6 hr, 12 hr, 1 day, 1 mo., 3 mo., 6 mo., and YTD. For education I should be able to learn about each currency as I select it and have aggregated news in the same section. The Cryptopedia is awesome but it should be accessible on each individual currency. Great App! Feels more refined than others in the space. I need to learn how Earn and Wrapping work and I’ve had to learn that outside of the App.

Horrible Experience. I opened an account over month ago & for some odd reason a month later my account is frozen now. I contacted costumer support to ask why and to resolve the problem and they ask me to send an email with my state ID & some other info.... I've sent that info 3 times to different costumer support agents and the answer is always the same. They said that they're going to escalate up the problem but never get a response after that point.... I was trying to be patient and gave them some time to get an answer back but it's more than 2 weeks of waiting now and I haven't got a response. I'm surprised on how they freeze people money just like that without giving you a reason why and how to solve it. Costumer support don't have a phone number to call and speed up whatever the issue is and fix it.

They control your money, not you. I’ve been in the iPhone ecosystem for many many years now. In that time I’ve only written a couple reviews so please read. I’m giving them 1 star because you can easily connect your bank account to give them money but it is extremely difficult to withdraw money from your Gemini account. You have to submit a photo of your ID which is a security issue and apparently it can take weeks to get verified even if you do. Be sure you know that your money will be tied up with Gemini for a while before you can access it. They very quickly take money from your account but make it very difficult to withdraw money and it takes a long time. If this review elicits a response from the developer I’m guessing they will say they do it to protect your account, etc. I just want my money. You probably would too and you have very little recourse. As a consumer, I would stay away, regardless of what the developer response is. Telling me you are keeping me from my money for my own protection is not valid. Coinbase isn’t any better from my understanding. Apple App Store users expect a good experience and this isn’t it. Crypto is the Wild West and maybe Apple should look into app this as it relates to their customers.

Probably the best? Definitely the best!. Out of all the crypto exchange apps available to us in the US, Gemini is by far the easiest to use, most reliable and the cheapest if you want to move your assets into a wallet. I’ve used it every day for 6 months and have never experienced any down time, freezing, apology messages for a feature being unavailable or any other problem that I see almost weekly with other exchanges. The ONLY thing that is missing as of this writing is ADA, which for the life of me I can’t figure out why it’s not available. I’ll come back and add that 5th star when they add Cardano, but otherwise it’s fantastic, reliable and cheap. If they have your coins, use Gemini or get used to the sensation of being frustrated.

No complaints. I’ve been using this app for the past month and so far I have no complaints the only thing I want to go back to normal is when I was able to use my debit card and a transaction with all through and be cleared within the same day now it takes a day almost 2 days for a debit card transaction the process but overall it’s still not bad if I use my debit card today it will be cleared by tomorrow morning which is not bad. Overall i can move my miney perfectly between my wallets and the transaction fee isnt high at all mainly like $.50 to a $1 most which is great.

Convert stable coins. I like the service Gemini provides. I would like it even better if Gemini would allow to convert stable coins to all altcoin. I’m just saying. It would be very nice. Also I would like Gemini to allow my earn account to be transferred to a regular account. This way the money stays in the Gemini company. Again I’m just saying. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Question… What is the update on the Gemini earn accounts. Appreciate this app so much! One suggestion.. Came to this app after having multiple issues with Coinbase. Withdrew my money, came to Gemini and haven’t looks back! Love this app! One small hope for the future is that instead of including your own deposits in on the “money made” it would just include your true gains from the market. Mind you this is a sophisticated ask something that TD AMERITRADE and even robinhood do - but it is easier to see your true profit instead of thinking you’re ballin when it was just that deposit you made after that stimulus check. Minor flaw, still. FIVE STAHS.

Great exchange and crypto app with clean look!. I love how clean and well done this app is. This is my new go to for purchasing crypto and I love the Gemini credit card as well, get paid in any crypto on their exchange!? And instantly after the purchase!? How can you beat that! Now my ONLY app change or update would be to be able to reorganize the menu bar at the bottom. I would like my Portfolio to be the middle option and then to the right of that be the Card details page. If they can add the ability to customize the order that would be awesome! Plus adding some more coins would be great too ex. Cardano!

Long time user, first time reviewer. I was initially interested in and chose Gemini in 2017 because they were the only exchange at the time that was driving Crypto being accepted on more traditional fiat exchanges. The founders are well known and are always on the forefront of crypto exchange technology. The fees are reasonable but more than some riskier and cheaper options. I pay a little more to trade on Gemini because the fly by night exchanges can and have just evaporated, with all their users holdings, never to be seen again. I plan to stay with Gemini as long as it is financially and securely feasible for me to do so.

Entrepreneur. Very secure I have one issue it is so secure I cannot figure out how to withdraw for re- posit into my bank. Could use help but cannot locate. Still doing allot of research being cautious based on global confidence at this time. There is allot to learn, finding a reliable source has proven more difficult than anticipated. Still being very conservative, my confidence in Genesis. Understanding the big picture along with being able to withdraw for deposit in my bank is a challenge I have yet to figure out. You can't call support just need to look on the site. Fees are a little steep but the site is very diverse.

Great way to get started. The biggest problem with crypto today is it’s not very user friendly. However Gemini is one of those apps that’s really changing that. Most people will understand how to use this app as soon as they open it. They’re also at the forefront of fin tech with their earn services. The interest rate you earn on here will kill a regular savings account. Plus they offer earn for several cryptos which makes stock market dividends look extremely outdated. They do have higher purchase fees than other competitors, but again you’re paying for simplicity here.

Good Crypto service. I enjoy the security and insurance given if your assets were to be lost or something. The app isn’t as aesthetic and modern as Robinhood or Coinbase but it’s not bad, the design is nice. Lastly, the customer service is phenomenal. I accidentally sent WETH (wrapped Ethereum to my Gemini wallet) which isn’t supported on Gemini. Therefore, I lost about 2,000 dollars in the ETH network. I reached out to Gemini’s customer service team and they escalated this situation to get it resolved and eventually returned my WETH to the wallet I sent it from. I was able to get a ton of lost money back thanks you Gemini’s customer service and commitment to help their clients 😊

Absolute privacy nightmare. Gemini Pay draws you in, but... In our world today, you can tell the quality of a service by how much they need to know about you. Gemini is one of the worst offenders. For convenience, you must become part of the Gemini framework entirely. Name DOB Address Phone (no VOIP we need your real, personal device phone number. It’s not because we don’t have access to your info to verify anyway, it’s because we explicitly want this) And more Compare this to a service like Exodus-which I barely recommend over this. If you’re drawn here because of Gemini Pay I’d like to offer an alternative or two. BitRefill allows you to purchase gift cards for countless retailers and service providers. The app “Fold” does the same and offers cash back rewards. Neither require that you surrender every personal detail. Our financial leviathan in the US is edging it’s way into your life via crypto. Want to participate? Let’s make sure we can track you and penalize you in the future. Buy crypto with cash, use something like Unstoppable. There is no benefit for the user to submit and meet the requirements of this app. Only the company and the government benefits. With the ever changing landscape people will be retroactively targeted. The things you do today may not be legal tomorrow. And no one will tell you when those rules change.

Expectations Were Met & Beyond = A++ (+)sd.. It was enough for me to give it a shot than brought it home to the point of me leaving a positive review.! (1st review I’ve made) Finding out the owners were the original FB creators. (sadly, my only knowledge was from the FB movie) They stood up against that weird reptilian looking Peeping Tom guy out in the bushes spying in on vulnerable moments in life, that Zach guy who runs FB. Who knows what the world would look like today if that weirdo didn’t run FB and these two gentlemen did! (Hopefully much better) Going into Gemini as a beginner seemed challenging, but ultimately a good thing as it drove me to apply myself in researching and discovering more knowledge within the atmosphere of Blockchain Technology. Their desktop & mobile site are super clean! They provide several different products, including one which gains interest +%. As they just recently uploaded more currencies to buy & sell, I will continuously be looking forward to their growth in the future. I’m a daily user and yes, I’d recommend my friends & family to use Gemini !

Exchange and savings account in one.. Gemini isn’t perfect but it’s the best tool if you want to both be able to buy coins and earn interest on a majority of them. Coinbase doesn’t offer interest or staking on much of anything, BlockFi only offers interest on a few and there’s no exchange, and the others don’t offer much of anything by way of interest. Gemini also offers unmatched security and legal compliance. I’d love a proper IRR chart or something to tell me how I’m doing independent of cash inflow, and the buy fees are high given the mobile app isn’t a “pro” exchange like Coinbase Pro, but there are also no withdrawal fees for most people who just need to make a few per month.

Great service, slow processing. I have used Gemini for years and am happy with their service, but it has been consistently horrible for quick transactions. Funds are unavailable for withdrawal for nearly a week after depositing even after fully clearing my bank in just a few days, which is frustrating if trying to quickly move coins to an off-exchange storage wallet. Very inconvenient for users trying to use crypto as a currency for trade, but at least you have control of your coins and can move off the exchange after funds are released, something big companies like PayPal and Robinhood don’t allow. I would give a five-star rating if they could just fix their deposit-withdrawal system to work faster.

Growing Appreciation. I have been using Gemini for 6 months. Super easy to set up. Great interface. Gemini Pays your Withdrawal Fees up to 10 times per month. That is worth it right there. A growing list of crypto every month. I also think their real-time trading platform is great for everyone. Easy to understand and place buys and sells. When you add money to your account they let you trade with it right away before it officially is completely transferred, but then they put a hold on that money for 6 days which is fair, after that you can keep it in the exchange or transfer it out to a hard wallet. I recommend Gemini to everyone.

Obviously Underwater.. READ!. Wild to me that even with the credit card, they won’t let you change the due date or statement date.. so there is a big gap between time of due date/statement date. Therefore you will always reoccur a balance owed compounding APR. The rewards are pointless now, you can’t earn anything, you can’t redeem your money if you used Earn Feature.. they charge fees for anything you do.. and all earn withdraws are paused. They have not been transparent of what is going on with this whole thing with Genesis who is completely bankrupt. Gemini has no chance to withstand this market.. been with them since 2014. They had potential, the credit card is nice when it works.. but I’ll be shocked to see them around in a year unless they make serious moves fast.. and are transparent with the environment. They are completely controlled by state of New York and behind all their regulations that lock everything against the user. Hate saying it.. but Gemini either needs to move out of NY completely.. or they are done easily.

No this: They are horrible in customer service. First they ask me a series of questions twice then they deny me the use of the app. So I have had this app with 59k for over 3 weeks . They respond every 3 days: their responses are the same. There is no assistance. This is my problem. I want to transfer my money out and I can’t. I send them the screenshot of the error message and they give they dame automated response. The error message says that I need to deposit into xyz account first, which the screen shot clearly shows that that is what I am attempting to do but the app into I see responses from the comments left here. I am overly disappointed and dissatisfied that I can not get my funds out. First you hold it for 2 weeks and then you make me struggle to put it back to my account! Maybe someone will respond to me here.

Caution using this app.. In my opinion, Gemini is not for beginners, it’s not for trading crypto’s for NFT’s, and it is not for quick and easy transfers. This app is primarily for trading crypto as if it were stocks and you will have to sit behind multiple whole periods before you’re able to access your assets. It’s a good app for what it does in practice but again it is not for quick and easy trades. The biggest and only issue I have with this app is that the approved address that I have for my wallet is inaccessible even after it’s been approved. I cannot deposit anything into my wallet because the app does not show my address on the available lists. Be very careful when depositing your money into this app because they will hold onto your funds for days before you’re able to do anything with them.

Good app, if you like flushing money down the toilet. They insanely promoted their Gemini earn program as essentially a safe savings account. Their executives withdrew all of their Gemini earn deposits in July 2022 after their ‘risk management’ gave them inside scoop. They proceed to send out an email one day before locking withdrawals stating the earn program has zero material exposure to FTX. Lies. Don’t use this platform, buy Bitcoin on Venmo and send to your ledger. This company still owes well over 1 billion dollars to their OWN customers and continue to point fingers at others when each Winklevoss has personal assets well over 1 billion dollars. Again, you may get more joy out of watching your dollars spin around the porcelain than letting these crooks steal it. OH, I forgot they are facing MULTIPLE lawsuits for selling unregistered securities(aka Gemini Earn)

Money transfer. My transaction history shows that I completed a buy order and shows a deposit of funds twice for one order that I did. Now days later when the crypto I invested in is up I got an email after 9 pm which was sketchy saying it was declined for insufficient funds even though the funds are there. I wouldn’t recommend using this app to invest and I’m definitely not trying to figure it out I’ll take it as a sign and invest through another app considering it was an over $2000 investment and I missed out on time and money thinking I had an order based off what was shown. Update my bank account info is under manage payments but when I go into my portfolio and hit deposit my bank isn’t linked and I’m worried about my information being mishandled at this point.

Winkelvoss Men under deliver and don’t promise much. Front running. Could it be ? Place an order watch the order book change. I recommend traders make sure your getting multiple exchange prices before committing to jump in front of what they show us. Nearly every trade, today twice APE and some other coin. It’s not right. Regulate yourselves, stop extortion. Also stabilize the platform, weird it goes down during volatile times. Take the blue billboard down in Times Square, your trading volume in most assets tells the tale, the advertising isn’t making up for debilitated platform. Reallocate that money to providing a better trading platform, I want to “trust” our interests are aligned. If you build it they will come, if you simulate mediocrity-it is what it is.

Inexistent support. The look and feel of the app is great and also is easy to use. Nevertheless, the account verification process is a mess. I have more than one month waiting for their authorization. In the meantime, they allow you to deposit money and buy some crypto. But watch out! You cannot trade it, withdraw or move your own money until they finish the verification account process. Then you try to contact them and there’s no answer, no support, no customer service, etc. at this point, I just want to close my account but I can’t do that neither until they finish. I tried to trade my crypto for another one and they say that I should deposit more money. It’s incredible! I can’t do anything but they want more money from that. Ironically, That functionality works perfect. Maybe in the coming versions this will be a great app. Right now is very below a average.

I’m a little mad at the fact that you don’t have all 17,000 cryptos on your site LOL? I was really hoping to trade HOT UPCOMING MULTI-ZERO ON THE $$CHEAP$$ CRYPTO’S but with the great TEAM that you have behind you it won’t be long until you have GEMINI running on all twelve cylinder’s!! Smooth app. No complex market orders.. I like Gemini and the ability to transfer between the earn programs. It’s smooth and friendly. However, there’s no simple options for market, limit orders, or similars. This means you pay a larger fee on transactions. I trade often and rely on the ability to make trades in this fashion, with or without candlestick charts, similar to how a brokerage like Fidelity operates with simple Limit Orders. Having to pay $5 on a market spread instead of $1.50 eats up the budget and is super inconvenient when I need to work from my phone and do not have ready access to a computer. Otherwise, nice app.

Better than Coinbase by far.. Not as many options for Crypto but absolutely has a solid platform that is easy to use with some heavy hitters in the Crypto world, plus some decent alt-coins too. I left Coinbase entirely for Gemini in February 2021 and definitively not dissatisfied or disappointed. Update: September 2021- I am still happy with Gemini. They add crypto alt-coins once they are established beyond being just a junk-coin (my opinion), have decent buy and sell fees, and for the most part stays up to date on current prices, though I do get lag sometimes. Overall I am still satisfied and my 5 star rating stands.

Trading on Gemini. Great app for trading i have been enjoying trading crypto the markets open every day. It did take me 6 months to get my account verified and I think reaching out to them on LinkedIn helped. There are some draw backs like if you buy a coin to get interest rather than buy and sell it stays on your portfolio for a while even after you sell it. It’s also hard to track your progress like crypto is volatile but if you deposit money it includes it in your gains so that’ seems iffy. I usually trade using trading view and just look at it on app but it’s a great start and I plan on using the app and Gemini for all my crypto needs for now on 💪💪💪

Excellent Exchange. Gemini offers some of the lowest trade fees in the market via the “Active Trader” feature on desktop. I highly recommend trading there and only monitoring your portfolio on the mobile app as the fees are much higher on the app. It’s a very secure exchange and offers all of your standard trading options. The only negative I have is the 2-3 weeks it takes to verify your account when signing up, however you’re able to start trading during this verification period. Overall, I enjoy Gemini over Coinbase thanks to the lower fees. I also enjoy it over Robinhood as it has many more investment options. Overall would recommend to any trader regardless of experience.

No Customer service. Great app until you get locked out of your account.. App is solid, functionality and usability is great but the customer service is non existent. I have contacted them via email, Twitter publicly and privately, and followed up with them numerous times and I still haven’t talked to a human. It’s been a horrible experience and reading into other complaints there are many others in my situation. I was locked out because I decided to switch to a new number. This change was through their mandatory authenticator with a company called Authy, but ever since I switched I lost access to the account with no customer service or support from Gemini.

Disappointing waiting time. I downloaded the app after the Winkelboss twins went on CNBC during the Robinhood/Gamestop events. Its has been nothing but a frustrating experience ever since. My account says that is approved but it’s pending my identity being verified. In the meantime, i have opened accounts on other platforms and banks with virtually instant approval and verification. This company is simply not ready and they are not prepared to provide a great user experience. And they don't support dogecoin. I’m going to try Kraken. Edit: Gemini has made Robinhood look like they are the best app for crypto. No quality business makes you wait 2 weeks to get your account ready. I can walk into any bank or go online and be ready to go in minutes, but this is how they want people to walk away from traditional banks? Unusual higher volume doesn’t justify 2 weeks waiting period; that’s incompetence.

Devs read reviews. Have used Gemini for quite a bit of time prior to writing this and I prefer it to any other exchange’s interface, it’s a very clean design & simple to use. Gemini is partnered with Brave browser which I use daily as well. I wrote my original review because I didn’t like a part of their Earn—>Grow update. Within a week, all the things I had written that I didn’t like about the update had changed to my liking.. as if the dev’s were listening. While I still think Earn was a better name, it really feels like Gemini was designed with the customer in mind.

Can’t withdraw my funds!!. I joined Gemini because I thought it was one of the safest options for investing in crypto. I put money in using my debit card then a bit later I wanted to add more funds with less fees so I tried to add My bank account. It went through but when i try to deposit it doesn’t let me. I now want to withdraw my funds I originally put through my card and it will not let me withdraw. So I literally don’t have access to my money. It has been almost a month now and I have not be able to do anything even though my bank account went through. The app wants me to verify my bank and to do that I need to deposit from my bank. I try to deposit and it wont let me. So what am I supposed to do then???? No reply from customer service and its been almost a month!!Do Not Risk Your money with this app!!!!

Amazing by Design and Purpose. I’m on of those people that never reviews products and as an avid crypto investor, I have to say I just love the design and the principles around the Gemini app. The design really makes me at ease because it doesn’t make me feel like I can trust the products that I’m investing in. It’s an incredibly simple and user friendly app, and I highly believe in the Winklevoss twins and their mission. Gemini is highly regulated compared to other exchanges and if there are projects that we can invest in here, that means they have significant pull because it means they are amazing projects that are vetted by them. Can’t say enough good things, love the product!!

New Perspective!. I was very skeptical about the whole crypto thing a few months ago and canceled my account. But after becoming more familiar with it I reactivated my account and have really been enjoying the features of Gemini. I really prefer this platform over the many out there. The customer service team is very helpful and go out of their way to make sure you get the help and answers you need. I haven’t had any problems with the web version or phone app. And it continues to get better and more user friendly. A big plus for me is that they don’t push certain features in order to utilize others. Thanks Gemini!

When it counts. I’m very upset that I was unable to transfer my crypto to other wallets, especially during this crash, I wanted to take the opportunity to exchange my crypto into other tokens. Gemini doesn’t not offer any exchange, what they will let you do is sell your positions and then charge you for both selling then buying. This is ridiculous, many other exchanges allows exchanges of crypto without/little fees. That fact that I have to wait a week to “verify” safe addresses I’ve lost out on a buying opportunity. This is very concerning as it defeat the purpose of crypto, this is very big bank move preventing you from transferring your funds. This is supposed to be my wallet with my crypto. I will be moving all my funds to exodus immediately when possible. Don’t get caught trapped on this exchange.

Release our Assets. In my opinion, I would stay as far away from this company and its app as you can. Gemini is owned by Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss. Yes the same ones who sued Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook (now Meta). I, along with 240k other Gemini Earn Victims have had our funds frozen by Gemini since last November. Their customer service is abysmal. Their updates were so bad, Gemini Earn Victims had to demand in court they provide us regular updates. They led us to believe our investments were safe and secure. Meanwhile they lent our money to a company called Genesis, a subsidiary of DCG, owned by Barry Silbert, who is currently under investigation by the SEC and the NY Attorney General's Office. During the collapse of a series major crypto firms, they assured us our funds were safe, and had "no material exposure," to that fallout. Something we look forward to discussing with them in a court of law. They claimed they had no funds to pay us back, but mysteriously have enough to travel the world, giveaway free crypto to new suckers, gift Bitcoin Pez dispensers to dignitaries and others, while sponsoring events, and managing to executive produce the movie Dumb Money. Ironic, because now, I can say, if you put a single penny into Gemini, it really is dumb money. Stay away. Far away.

Yeah, this is a scam. So I discovered today that my entire Gemini Earn balance is just gone. Not frozen. It’s gone. I had some dogecoin that I figured, hey, I’m not planning to actively manage this. I might as well earn some interest here. And I thought it was safe because you told me the risk of default was low and you had led me to believe that, like most things in crypto, the lending would be decentralized or used as collateral against a lot of transactions so that the risk of default was limited to fractions of the investment. But now I hear you lent everybody’s money to a single borrower who went bankrupt? Great job, guys. If you guys are recouping this to any extent, I haven’t seen a single penny yet. All of my earn accounts are sitting at 0. Most of the other people I see on here are complaining that their accounts are frozen, well, cheer up guys. My money is just gone. Truth be told, it wasn’t a huge amount of money lost, but until you can return at least a decent portion of it, then yeah. I’m not investing another cent else with gemini. Would you? I thought this was so cool, you guys. I recommended your product to a bunch of people. Now I hope they ignored me because if they lost money, you’re making me look bad.
