Hallow: Prayer & Meditation App Description & Overview

What is hallow: prayer & meditation app? ** The #1 Prayer App & #1 Catholic App **

WHAT IS HALLOW
Hallow is a Christian prayer app that offers audio-guided meditation sessions to help us grow in our faith & spiritual lives and find peace in God. Explore over 10,000 different sessions on contemplative prayer, meditation, Catholic Bible readings, music, and more.

In today’s world, we’re stressed, anxious, distracted, & can’t sleep. At the same time, we’re searching for deeper meaning, purpose, & relationships. We believe these two challenges can be addressed with the same solution: peace in Jesus. In the end, after all, a halo in heaven is the goal :)

WHAT YOU GET
* Daily prayers: Pray daily across methods including 3 of our most popular - Lectio Divina (on the Daily Readings), the Rosary, & the Divine Mercy Chaplet

* Sleep Bible Stories: Try Night Prayer from Liturgy of the Hours / Daily Office, and Catholic Bible stories read by folks like Jonathan Roumie from the Chosen or Fr. Mike Schmitz from the New American Bible
* Rosary: Meditate with Mary through the mysteries of the Catholic Rosary and other devotionals
* Ignatian Examen: Reflect on your day & discover an awareness of God, Jesus Christ, & the Holy Spirit
* Lectio Divina: Enter into a conversation with God through Bible passages / Scripture
* Taizé & Traditional Chant: Meditative chant & music
* Community: Match your prayers to the season with the Pray40 Lent Challenge, starting Ash Wednesday, or our Pray25 Advent Challenge for Christmas
* Homilies & Guests: From Father Mike Schmitz, and on topics on being a Catholic Dad, St. Augustine & more!
* Praylists: Sessions on joy, humility, discernment, or stress / anxiety / calm
* Challenges: Re-discover the Our Father, Stations of the Cross, Psalms, and Saints - or start with the Intro 9 Day Novena
* Litanies & Novenas: Try out the Litany of Humility, the 54 Day Novena, and more!
* Pray like a Champion today: Athlete Prayers
* Minute Meditations: Jesus, I Trust in You, Angelus, Rosary Decade, St. Michael the Archangel prayer and more!

Mommy Finally Gets Quiet Time!. Before Hallow, my spiritual life was unorganized and reactive. I'd attempt to have quiet time with the Lord, but would be interrupted by my children or my own thoughts. 30 minutes would go by and I'd feel so defeated that I couldn't even make it through one prayer without becoming distracted. My husband gifted me a subscription 2 years ago and it's now a recurring Christmas gift from him (I can't imagine anything better). Now, my thoughts and prayers are cohesive because the guidance from the app keeps me on track. I've learned so many new prayers that I never knew before, and I can "whip them out" in the middle of whatever chaos might be going on in our day. If my toddler comes in the room during my quiet time, he doesn't have to leave. He understands quiet time now and loves to listen and pray with me. He even requests Hallow in the mornings now! The "Kids" feature has been such a blessing. If you're a busy mom or a busy anybody, Hallow is an amazing app you won't regret. I've recommended it to everyone I meet who mentions a struggle with their prayer life. It has truly helped change my life for the better. Thank you, Hallow!

Must Have App for Contemplatives. I am so thrilled with this app. The content is incredible. I love that the content regularly changes to reflect the liturgical seasons, as well as daily for such features as the gospel reflections & rosary. There are so many features to use from themed practices to specific types of prayer to seasonal and current event relevant prayers. I love the in depth challenge features of the Our Father and Stations of the Cross, the daily Examen, the Sleep prayer options, the liturgy of the hours . . . and I love that you can set and track goals, streaks, and journal thoughts from a session. The Guest section includes so many incredible resources from experts . . . this app is just packed with the best Catholic contemplative prayer content and it is very well engineered . . . super user friendly. Finally, it's great to have two different voice options as well as the option to choose ambient music, silence or gregorian chant to accompany your prayer/meditation sessions. I highly recommend this app. It has definitely revolutionized my prayer life because now when I wake up in the morning, I have an auto reminder to sit in prayer when I pick up my phone rather than scroll through other fluff and news. Bravo!

20 years young & learning. I honestly don’t know how I found this app. I was raised Catholic and attended weekly mass. But once I got to college I decided to put Christianity on the back burner and do life my way. So I did & it got to be pretty self-destructive and wasn’t bringing about goals or calming my worries I was missing God in my plan. COVID-19 happened and that sent me back into my child home & emotionally was rough being in quarantine & feeling this overwhelming amount of shame & guilt & this yearning to get closer to God. I love mediation & was using headspace often. But I remember reading this article saying how vision boards and affirmations were the law of attraction & how mediation can even be focused to much on yourself. I realized I call myself Catholic but I wasn’t at all I wasn’t living a Christian filled life. I wanted to find truth and grow back in my faith & this app is beautifully designed & so well thought out that it’s slowly helping me back to my Catholic faith. Thank you 💜

Plenty of FREE and paid options. For those who complained that the app isn't free, there are tons of FREE options on here! And if you are upset because "prayer shouldn't cost money," have you ever stepped into a shop that sells Catholic goods? Candles, rosaries, prayer cards, books? Are those things free? No, someone spent time designing and creating them. You aren't forced to buy them. You can pray the rosary with your God-given ten fingers, after all. You can pray without ever picking up a prayer book. But if you CHOOSE to buy those resources because you enjoy them and they enrich your prayer life, ythat's your choice. This app is AMAZING and life-changing and it keeps getting better. For me, it's worth the subscription cost. I know some people cannot afford the cost and I understand that can be frustrating. But use the free resources. And don't knock the app because it costs money. The time and development that goes into an app like this costs money. It doesn't make it bad.

Great App. I see a lot of people complaining about “pay to pray,” and I think there’s some confusion about the app. I’ve been using the free version (not the free trial, just the free version), and I have been very pleased. I’ve used the app daily through Lent, and I think I will continue to do so after Easter. A lot of content is locked on the free version, but I think it has plenty for people with limited finances or who want to see what the app is about before signing up for a paid subscription. I have noticed improvements on the app over the last several weeks, and I also appreciate being able to choose the speed of what I’m listening to. (I can finish a Mark Wahlburg rosary after taking my kids to school that way!) Thank you for the great content!

Thanks from this Protestant!. Last January, after having gone through the final illness and death of my father, I determined to be more faithful in my devotional life. After looking around the ‘net and the App Store, I decided to try the Hallow preview and a couple of others. I’m Protestant, so I was hesitant about the Hallow app being Catholic. Well, before the preview was up, I had subscribed to Hallow. This app has helped me keep my promise to be more faithful in daily reading and prayer. I have particularly enjoyed the Daily Mass Readings and Daily Reflections. Plus, through the Daily Saints feature, I’ve learned so much about amazing Christians from the past. (I’ve even learned to love the Rosary.) I also loved the Advent prayers. Not only has the app helped me be more faithful, I also feel so much more connected to the (little c-catholic; i.e. universal) Church. The app has been well worth the subscription.

Hesitate no more. Cradle Catholic of 58 years. I saw and heard about this app and have always blown it off. Why do I need an app, been praying my whole life? This is different and I’m so glad I decided to spend the money for this. It’s so well done. There is so much to choose from. For me, I started with the beginning of Lent and joined the Pray 40 challenge. I figured I can use the extra prayers, why not? The very first episode had me in tears about humility. In one daily reading, I completely changed my way of approaching prayer. No longer has it been a praying for something good for me or like that. It’s become a daily reflection on my life and how to listen to what God is saying to each of us. Amongst so many other things. I encourage anyone who has been hesitating as I was to take the plunge especially during Lent and start your own daily routine. I encourage you to listen to the first episode on humility from the Pray40 challenge. It will really speak to you. I also love this app for the amazing Hollywood actors who are part of the daily readings (I mean in this day and age, who would have thought? They’re fantastic!), and also the other regular guest speakers who are in the daily prayers. Their lived experiences truly add to the effect of this app.

Worth the purchase!. Yes you get free content, but supporting a group of young men and women who are trying to bring the prayers of our faith into modern day time is important! I love praying the Rosary on my commute to work or while exercising! I don’t have to have a Rosary because he/she guides me through it. Also, the short prayers and meditations are calming and remind me the importance of handing my day over to God not only in the morning but throughout! I suffer from anxiety and tried the other meditation/mindfulness apps but something was missing, God! In those moments when I feel like I can’t go on this app is here to remind me that God is in control and will be with me each second of the day! Thank you to the developers and all who work for Hallow for answering God’s call to bring meditation and prayer together! I wish you much success.

Worth the money! Amazing app. Absolutely love this app. It’s truly a blessing from God. Some people may be hesitant because of the subscription fee, but it’s reasonable. Especially since the Hallow team seems to be coming up with more things to add! This app has helped me really meditate and work on my relationship with Him. It’s so hard to find modern Catholic apps these days. This app allows for a lot of Catholic tradition with a mix of modern day flare. I love the look of the app as well, very simple and eye catching. The narrator is very soothing, i love having some background music (i choose ambient music but having a Gregorian chant option is above and beyond in my opinion!) additionally, i love how the creators and the team are working hard to constantly update and add to this app!! I can’t wait to see what else Hallow will have in store for the future! Thank you Hallow for bringing me closer to God.

Best decision of an app purchase!. I really struggle with prayer and anxiety at night. I was looking for something to help as I fell asleep or while laying in bed to calm my heart and mind. But I wanted something that was 1- Catholic! And 2- orthodox! I was honestly skeptical when I randomly saw a Facebook add for Hallow. Most “catholic” prayer aides I’ve come across saying things like “meditation” have a very skewed idea of meditation and it tends to quickly digress into things like “finding your third eye” 🤢 what I LOVE about the creators of Hallow is that they desire to reclaim meditation as a unique Christian form of prayer. It has always belonged to the Church and we are responsible for continuing this life giving practice! This is my 4th day using the app and it has already been a game changer! I’m excited to get to bed now, so I can have those last few moments of my day in prayer! The guided meditation is not cheesy and has so many options! I feel more peace then I have for awhile and I find that I’m more aware during my day of the Lord, communicating with Him as my day goes on. I love this app and have been telling everyone about it!

Worth buying!. I’ve never been one to sit still and I have a busy mind. Suffice to say that meditation doesn’t come naturally. Yet I was dealing with some generalized anxiety post surgery and wanted to try some meditation. I also knew that for my comfort level, I preferred it to be Catholic meditation. I really believe God led me to this site. It’s worth the yearly subscription. What I didn’t expect was the inner healing and insights I received- and which I could then journal and record right on the app. God’s love and presence just seemed to explode as I sat in the guided silences and meditated on the scriptures provided. I’m so grateful! My favorite is the daily scripture meditation. Brings me closer to daily Mass while I still recuperate. I like the ten minute option but you could do 5 or 15 instead. I’d really recommend this too for those homebound but interested in growing spiritually. It can be a home made retreat if you let it! If you want Catholic it’s here. But it clearly is “catholic” in the sense that it’s for all of us.

Hallow is The Best App Ever; Especially, for Catholicism.. I absolutely love this app. It is so incredibly on point to keep yourself intact with God-The Holy Trinity!! It keeps me grounded, has a much stronger connection within my strict Roman Catholic Faith, and with given all the extra perks of morals and virtues that you can within this application, HALLOW. I am so blessed beyond measure to be born into a family with the strict, solid morals, devotion to Mary, Our Blessed Mother, the rosary, scriptures at home, and to learn to use, trust, and use your inner faith to do great things here on earth. My Daddy would say The Rosary,!Trust and Loyalty in your Roman Catholic Faith, your heart and deep innermost thoughts and being faithful and al to The Scriptures, The Holy Trinity, Mary, and The teachings, following scriptures. By showing your utmost loyalty and the rule of law, Catholicism is The Truest Way To Get To Heaven!! I attached K-12 grade at a private Catholic School. I am so unbelievably fortunate. I can’t think of my parent enough. My Daddy has passed, and My Momma just passed just this year on February 25, 2021. HALLOW also helps me remember my childhood and teenage years of dedication, devotion, and loyalty to Catholicism. Thank you so much for creating this Extraordinary App for all Christians. Still, most of all, it’s designed especially for Roman Catholics and all rules, values, virtues, and BELIEFS of Catholicism.

Wonderful app! With one complaint/suggestion. This app has transformed my prayer life! I was hesitant to pay the $$ at first, but after giving it a try through a free trial, I have found it well worth it! There are so many different prayer and meditation options for many circumstances. At times I find it overwhelming with the many options, but I love that there are so many and that they are continually being uploaded and updated. My only minor complaint and suggestion is a technical one. When browsing through the many lists, if you hit “back” it will take you all the way back to the home screen instead of the previous page you were on. This can be frustrating as the many lists are like navigating a labyrinth at times, and if I was simply trying to browse the various novenas, for example, I have to go all the way back to the beginning each time I hit “back” and navigate the labyrinth again. This seems like it would be a simple technical fix from the developers of the app and would make it much easier for the users.

A tremendous help for a new Catholic. I didn’t grow up in a religious household and only within the last few years have been developing my faith and finished RCIA two years ago. Praying is still relatively new and something that I am growing in, this app has really helped that with all the different options from stations of the cross, rosary, divine mercy, etc. I have also thoroughly enjoyed and learned so much through the Bible in a year which is based off of the great adventure Catholic Bible and features a lot of information to help understand and get more from the readings. It is also very cool that Jonathan Roumie from “The Chosen and Jim Caviezel from “Passion of the Christ” is available as readers or are featured in some of the talks.I strongly recommend this for any Christian not just Catholics. I promise that absolutely everyone will get something out of Hallow. Thank you for this great resource!

Okay, but needs basics. Better to something than nothing, so I am happy that this exists. But it needs major improvements. Rosary routines are not as given to the world by Mary. Instead, this offers a the new version, with JP-II’s additions. Would be easy to add the original version. Psalms uses a truly bad translation. Deep meanings in the mental poetry are completely removed. Offer alternate translations that adhere closely to the Hebrew text, like the Douay-Rheims, or the Grail Psalter. It’s no surprise that Bishop Barron is featured in this. Though he very often strikes out when a specific soul is on the line & the theological bases are loaded in the bottom of the 9th inning. Not withstanding any critiques of his statements on the eternal logos being just “the privileged way” & “we have a reasonable hope that all men are saved” , he manages to be in the spotlight constantly, and seems to showcase his own intellect more than the Trinity’s mercy/justice, love for us, & mastery of all. I’d rather his presence here be counter balanced with the simple faith and bold proclamation of other prelates who do not show so many sign an egocentric predilection.

Never have I felt so close to God, His Word, His Church and His Saints. This app has helped me through one of the toughest times in my life! There has been many wonderful things hallow has done: rosaries, the great adventure Bible in a year, powerful scripture readings, homilies, how to pray instruction, amazing audiobooks, novenas and even mental health. I can’t tell you how it has changed and deepened my faith. I was extremely spiritually dry and felt far from God. This app took my relationship with God to a whole new level. I experience mass in a whole new way. I love Jonathan Roumie’s special accented voice for Jesus! Especially in the rosary. It reminds me of when Jesus’ words are red in the Bible. I’m praying for all of you at Hallow! May God guide this beautiful ministry you’ve created. It does change and will change even more lives!

I start and end my day with Hallow.. I checked how much time I spend on Hallow and it’s averaging 2.5 hours a day. I’m not on social media, news, or any other depressing platform any more. Hallow is hopeful, joyful, inspiring, it helps me walk everyday with more love and patience in my life. I am a Catholic, had wonderful Catholic priests, nuns and parents who guided me through my young life. But life got busy with kids, and work and bills and all the distractions that take up your life. Church went by the wayside. I always prayed, I always had hope in a loving, merciful God, but it was mediocre. Hallow changed all that. Life is amazing, not always tidy but, love and mercy and understanding make it blessed. The community of readers and spiritual mentors biblical scholars provide soul lifting prayers, homilies, biblical understanding and much, much more. Try it, and God bless you and yours!

Amazing way to begin a day or wind down at night. I read as many reviews as I could to get a full picture of what this app was all about and if it was what I had been looking for. The comments about the voices had me hung up, but in lieu of another option I decided to give it a try and I have loved it. Right now I cannot even tell you how much the subscription was. That tells me how worth it the cost was. I understand what some people are saying about the voices, I have the same feeling about a few lectors at mass, their cadence causes me to lose focus rather than keep it, but unlike mass, this app allows me to speed up the voice to 1.25 or 1.5 and that makes all the difference. The speakers are great, and the voices of those I speed up are so strong that they don’t get whiny at higher speeds.

Amazing for Modern Application of the Faith. I’m not Catholic & was exploring the faith. This app has been instrumental in me getting an inside view to what Catholicism looks like in practice, not just reading about the ideas of it from unapproachable/overwhelming walls of information. I have been praying everyday with the app, and this is my first week praying — ever!!! I like that the CEO is passionate about the app’s mission, and that he has experience with the other popular meditation apps that modernized meditation. I never felt connected to those apps/practices, and Hallow allows me to explore the faith through these short doses of meditative prayers. It’s fantastic and I highly recommend to anyone looking to practice prayer or deepen their Catholicism with modern guidance — especially the millennial crowd. I respect their ethos and will gladly pay for the app after the free trial. Also, love the voice in the prayers, very soothing.

Amazing! Thank you for this beautiful work. I’m not a Catholic, although I’m studying early Christian Art History at a University and have been learning a lot about Catholic doctrine and practice. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I honestly believe we have more in common with Catholicism than anything which might separate us, and I think all Christians can benefit from this app. I’ve sampled some of the best mental health / meditation apps on the market, and the quality of Hallow competes with the best in terms of functionality and services. But the spiritual quality is what makes this above and beyond the rest. Our world needs this!!! Incorporating secular and spiritual practices of prayer and meditation, mental health and spiritual health… I think it’s wonderful and it’s already making a difference in my life

This app is changing my life. This app has so many amazing components, I don’t know where to start- the prayers for different parts of the day, mood and intentions are beautiful. The meditations and peaceful music nourish your soul and bring you closer to God. The lineup of speakers, including Jonathan Roumie, and Jim Caviezel is just superb. There are many opportunities to learn more about our catholic faith! You can even create your own prayer routines for different parts of the day. I have just been using this app for a couple of weeks, and I am already seeing a change in the way I view life and an increased closeness to God. I will definitely continue with my subscription! If you can pay for a cup of specialty coffee once a month, skip that coffee and pay for this subscription. It will change your life!

My way back to God. I had always been very close to God throughout my life. God had always walked with me. Through all of the lockdowns and other events in my life that I had allowed to distract me I had lost my way. I strayed and have been fumbling around now for several years. It’s almost like one day I looked up and things were dark. I was alone. I could no longer feel God’s presence nor hear his voice. I’ve been praying to find my way back to him. I came across an interview on Fox News with Mark W. Talking about the Halo app and the Lent challenge. After the first lesson of the challenge I knew I could repair my relationship with God. I have realized just how far I’ve strayed from His path. This app has given me hope and the excitement in my soul to know that I will soon be back with God as I continue my journey with His love. Thank you for Halo. Susan

Highly recommended!. I love this app and have been using it now for years and think it’s worth every $ it charges and more. I rarely review apps but think this app is fantastic and so deserving of a good review.. The app fulfills all my requirements for meditation, prayer petitions, or even just listening and reflecting on your day/bible stories/scripture. It has a wide variety of great content so you never get bored and more importantly, so you can always the right content to suit your present situation in life. I can’t recommend it enough to anyone/everyone!! It has gotten me to pray more regularly where nothing else has. my 2 cents for developers: it would be great to one day see this as an Alexa enabled skill so users could build a routine around it in the era of the “smart home”. Also would be good to be able to reset challenges so we can re-do them at our own time.

Nice App!. My husband and I had both been looking for something to help our evenings wind down better with God. The daily readings are amazing. This app has a lot to it (reflection space, mood tracker, prayers for moods, daily gospel, rosary based on daily mysteries, bed time gospel stories, a kids zone that does stories and prayer how to based on age, music center, chants, prayer session challenges and more.) I started to use it to help me get my rosary in the mornings like I have been wanting to do. You can set routines into your phone to help carve time out of your day for God as well. My only recommendation to the developers is to add the transcript in on the sessions. This would be helpful for 3 reasons. 1) New Catholic’s learning prayers and how things work no matter the age 2) To help when the mind is overly active to give something else to focus and help ease into the meditative process 3) Meditation can be great for relaxing or stimulating to wake up. With how things are currently set up, there is a lot of focus of relaxing versus stimulating to the day. Words on the screen can help be part of that stimulation. Keep up the great app! Can’t wait to see what all you add!

A Blessing for the ENTIRE family. I downloaded the free trial of Hallow for myself, and have been surprised how it has become interwoven in the daily routine(s) of the ENTIRE family! Let me share a few ways is has blessed our family of 6 — The music offered is beautiful, always a safe choice, and deeply meaningful. I play it during car rides, as background noise during snack times and when the kids are doing arts and craft. We started implementing the weekly Mass Prep prior to Mass on Sunday. It’s a perfect way to start preparing our hearts and minds before worship! My kids request the prayer meditations for before bed. My son adores the narrator Anna, and will say, “Her voice is just so soothing, and she’s Catholic!” The other day we experienced tornado sirens in our area, and were downstairs huddled for safety. I was touched when my daughter asked to listen to a mediation or “The Lost Sheep” story on Hallow for comfort! Like our Faith, the app is rich and full of meaningful content. I have only scraped the surface of its offerings. My free trial will be up soon, but I cant imagine not having this powerful resource at my fingertips. You better believe I’ll be purchasing it for the year. Thank you Hallow, for providing this Mama a way to incorporate the faith in meaningful ways throughout our day!

Learning to actualize Holy Grace given me by God. My spirit wandered aimlessly in the deserts of this world; but like a seed planted in desert sand, the water of God’s Prevenient Holy Grace germinated my spirit at age twenty-three. I then began reading Holy Scriptures, and The Holy Ghost allowed me to resume my Christian Odyssey in a quest to find the TRUTH , viz., Jesus. Selfishness I had fallen away from Mother Church at age thirteen. Much earlier (age seven) I had learned of The Divine Presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. That knowledge embedded an indelible scruple in my soul about receiving the Blessed Sacrament irreverently. The prayers of my beloved matrilineal Grandmother were graciously answered - in God’s Time. The Holy Ghost allowed me free will to wander in my Protestant spiritual ways until at age sixty-four, until bat last I confessed my sins to a Catholic Priest: I confessed, “Bless me Father, I have sinned. It has been fifty-one years since my last confession . . . . ” . I had no prior devotions to Our Blessed Mother Mary as a Protestant. In his Divine Mercy Jesus has led me to His Mother Who now leads me to her Divine Son Jesus, my Lord and my God !

Amazing Community!. I have subscribed to the “Magnificat” magazine for AM & PM prayer meditations for a few years. I was uncertain as to what added value the Hallow app subscription would be to my routine. The free trial convinced me to support this outstanding tool. The guided meditations are an alternative, Catholic-centered approach with an “eastern” feel, so familiar to any who have dabbled with Yoga “practices”. It’s a bridge between East & West that feels like a comfortable shoe (or mattress)! I particularly appreciate being able to choose from a variety of venues as I wind down to sleep. Sometimes, its a scripture reading. Sometimes the life of a saint. Or a review of conscience. The Hallow app helps me feel, in a concrete way, part of the larger community of faithful beyond the boundaries of my local parish! I am truly more aware of the “cloud of witnesses” that surround me…living and deceased…and that gives me hope. TY4 developing Hallow.

Love it, but needs some tweaks. I really enjoy using this app. I am finally praying daily pretty consistently which has been one of my goals for more years than I would care to admit. I very happy that they recently added a lot of prayers in Latin as I find them more meditative. The only thing with which I’m not entirely happy is that one cannot add some entire groups of prayers to one’s routine e.g. the Latin rosary. One can add each individual rosary but then you can’t choose which day you’d like to be notified as the routines have no option for setting the days you’d like to do certain prayers. If these two parts of the app were updated they would vastly improve its overall usefulness, as it would make the routines endlessly customizable and then all I’d have to do to get going is to click on the notification and, BAM! I’m prayin’!

Latest Update is Super Buggy. I absolutely love the Hallow app, but after the recent update I have been unable to access any of the prayers. Each screen takes forever to load. I though it was an issue on my end like my Internet but having reset my router and switched to cellular only there has been no change. It’s a bummer to want to pray your daily routine and not be able to listen to any of the prayers you planned on. The prayers will sometimes load. However each screen takes several minutes to load and it is very frustrating to have to wait for 8 minutes for a 50% chance of the prayer opening. The app has shutdown (black screen and kicked me off) twice since the update. Hopefully you resolve this soon! I loved the Hallow app up until this most recent update.

Apple Watch app??. Even though I’ve only had the app for a week I cannot begin to explain how much it has helped me as a Catholic young adult. I’ve never been dutiful with practicing the faith, and it’s so great to have such a great number of resources to look into and pray with. I can’t thank the creators enough for an app that looks great, is accessible, and is so calming. Almost every session begins with the same introduction which was starting to bother me, but it’s becoming less of an issue as I just start to think of the deep breathing and attention focus to God as a routine I need to get into. Would LOVE to see an Apple Watch app to be able to listen to prayers through that on workouts and such. Also, maybe the prayer goal could have the option to change to times a day instead of times a week? Anyway, Hallow is great you should get it!

The beautiful truth and rejoicing. Not only are the songs, so very inspirational the music, the singing such in the first book of the New Testament, Matthew says, with worship, both in truth and spirit at one of the other, but both very beautiful and inspirational. I’m Christian I certainly believe in rejoicing in my worship no that doesn’t mean I have to be a great singer, but I sure enjoyed great singing, and music and rejoicing in the Lord, in that way, so I can rejoice in the Lord without ever making a sound. I believe it says in Psalm 100 we are to rejoice in the Lord. Now, in the first book of the New Testament, Matthew says we are to rejoice in the lord, but we are to worship God, in both truth and spirit. Not one or the other but both. This inspirational music helps us to worship in that way. Amazingly beautiful rejoicing but when you hear the words you say the truth, and what is the truth, Jesus is the truth the way and the Life. No man shall go to God, but that he goes through Jesus. Remember he’s the way.

A new decade - a new awakening. I just turned 60 and have felt a draw to go to mass and a need to pray, but put it off. I heard Father Rich Pagano on The Catholic Talk Show mention the Hallow app for your phone. I downloaded and it sat there for a few weeks. Well today, I was alone in the house and the rumble of an approach thunderstorm and I decide to try Hallow. I selected a 5 minute prayer with God in silence, it was amazing and left me needing more, so I click on the Angelius prayer because I have a deep devotion to Our Blessed Mother, than I listen to a presentation of St. Theresa of Avila and I was blown away, it is as if the presentation was written just for me. I am energized and want more. Time to upgrade from the free version to the paid version. I also am going to be inviting people in my life to join this community, which is such a blessing during this pandemic. God Bless and keep you all!

Great way to Pray!. This app is so awesome! If u have no idea where to start or are an expert, this app is for u! U could pay for more or just stick with the basics! Hallow is an app with a ton of people making an audio recording of different readings and stories to share with u! I love how there is a night category to help u go to sleep and relax. There is also a music section too! You can even make ur own group and share it with friends and family! My favorite is the daily trivia! There are routines, meditations with God, you name it! I also like how u can have background music to play while you are listening to someone talk. You can make it louder or quieter. There is a family plan to share with up to 6 people! I 100% recommend this to anyone!! 😊😊😊

Very Appealing Interface. I just started using the app yesterday primarily because I read that Mark Wahlberg says the rosary. This was first thing I did and it was a good way to start. The rosary always seemed endless to me but the interface is like an audio file which shows the length of time remaining. It didn’t seem so endless. The interface is simple but appealing. It started with closing your goals - better sleep, less stress, reconnect with faith etc. I then listed to the evening prayer and the speaker had a very soothing voice. Today started a summer book club and the first part (10 min) was very good. I recommend trying Hallow for the free trial period to see if it’s something that works for you. I am thinking about buying 1 year as gifts for my sister and daughter.

Great app! Only one problem.... I love this app. I only use the free version since I’m not able to pay for the subscription and there is still so much content available! It’s simple and helpful (especially to an easily distracted mind like mine). The only problem I’ve come across is on setting reminders. It requires that you choose a habit to attach your reminder to...although this is a great idea the only options are not applicable to me. I like to is the app as soon as I put my little one down for a nap so it bothers me that I have to just choose a random habit in order to set a reminder for me to pray. I would suggest being able to type in your own habit or just remove the requirement. All in all, this app still deserves 5 stars. I think that the creators are doing wonderful things and I greatly appreciate all the work they’ve put into it!

This app can change your life- and not just for Catholics!. I stumbled upon the Christian tradition of contemplative prayer about a year ago and promptly began practicing it on my own. I was pretty good about doing it most every day, but some days were certainly more focused than others. Someone told me about Hallow and I immediately fell in love. I cannot rave enough about this app! I have told all my friends about it (most of whom are not Catholic). Now I can do multiple meditations a day and sometimes I will turn on the angelus or rosary while I am cooking or cleaning for an extra spiritual boost. I have been using the free version for a few months and there is so much great content that I feel like I’m stealing from them! 😬 I will definitely buy the premium version eventually, because this app has already helped me so hugely in deepening my relationship with Christ. Now I feel totally “off” and not nearly as kind or happy when I skip my morning prayer session. I cannot recommend this highly enough- if you commit to it and keep the habits going, it WILL change your life!

Needs work. This app is wonderful in terms of content, however, in terms of VoiceOver usability, it needs a good deal of work. It looks as though it should be accessible, however it is often extremely difficult to navigate with voiceover. Much of the home screen is virtually impossible to manage because voiceover gets hung up on the screen and totally freezes. Often there is no way to back out of a screen other than closing the app and starting over. many buttons are either not clearly labeled or labeled at all. instructions on the help screen refer to icons which voiceover users cannot see. There are no voiceover Hints, which would be extremely helpful given the complexity of this app. It is complex enough, in fact, that I would almost like to see a tutorial specifically for voiceover users. At this point, I am not advising other blind users I know to use this app until some changes have been made.I have been using Hallow for about a year now and I'm still learning things about it purely by trial and error. Somehow, this just doesn't seem right!

Exactly what I was looking for. My prayers were answered when I found this app. I wanted an app similar to Calm, but better in the sense that I could meditate and pray to God with it. This is that app. It’s a wonderful app, it’s got all kinds of prayers and stories for those who wish to meditate, it’s got daily rosaries, it’s got novenas, devotions, you name it, but it also has sleep stories and music. Like I said, it’s everything I ever wanted from Calm but won’t get from Calm because it’s a secular app. It’s pretty easy to use as well, and the price ain’t bad. Whoever developed this, they did a great job and deserve the $55 a year they’re asking. The rosary in all the different languages is phenomenal and is particularly my favorite. I don’t remember how I found it, but it’s magical. Hebrew, Latin, Spanish, English, French, all in one. So beautiful! The only thing I wish they’d improve: while playing music or regular stories on this app, I’d like to be able to keep browsing through the app. It’d be nice to get some more contemporary music too, not that I mind the classical selection, but it’s a mood, and sometimes I feel like listening to something more modern. And lastly, if they could come up with sleep music, that would be fantastic!

Very responsive to my problem: Cannot get app to open any more!. Within just a few days Hallow contacted me with help for my problem getting into the App. I downloaded the update and all is well again. Thanks, Hallow. It’s a magnificent app. I do listen to it all day again! Bible in a Year—3rd year in a row, and now Catechism in. Year! Love the prayer challenges and the Scriptural Rosay is so moving—and for me, at least, the best way to meditate on each mystery. I would listen to it all day every day—which I did until around January 1,2023. Now it won’t go any further than the purple screen of the opening page. For a few days, it would open automatically when I I put in my ear buds, and I’d have to pray whatever it offered—I’d be listening to sleep prayers in the morning. But now, even when it prompts me from my routine schedule, when I tap the prompt it just takes me to the purple screen and sits there. For hours, even all day. Very sad to lose it.

Could be way better.. As someone who doesn’t know much about this whole christian stuff and wants to get closer to god, read the bible more, learn about god, this is really helpful. That is, if you pay. No one should have to pay money for something they should be able to learn for free. Yes, yes, i know that you can just read your bible for free but let’s just be real, how many apps that you know of can personally help you get to understand all of this christian stuff good? (For free). None i couldn’t find a single one. Sorry i just thought that since i saw a tiktok saying that this was number one in all of these bible apps, that you wouldn’t have to pay to actually understand the app. Without paying, i have no clue how to work this app. Sorry i know i sound kind of like a karen but if you think about it, these people know you need help getting closer to god and need help learning how to study the bible so they are drawing your money out of you, instead of giving help for free like if they really wanted to help you get closer to god and stuff like that, don’t you think they would have helped you for free? Well anyways i may be completely wrong about all of this but this is just my opinion and i wanted to share it bc i feel like people should know. Thank you.

Beautifully Crafted and Amazing. Amazing app. I’ve used it daily and it has helped me so much to grow in my life of prayer. Even if you don’t purchase a subscription, the app is completely functional, no ads and no distractions, simply a few prayers your are unable to access (e.g. they have several rosaries you can pray, such as a daily rosary, a rosary before bed, a scriptural rosary, a workout rosary, etc. but you are only able to pray the daily rosary and a few other variations) I truly believe there is something on here that will resonate with anyone whether it be overcoming grief, anxiety, or simply connecting with Our Lord. Another thing that intrigued me is, you are able to select which narrator reads the prayers to you, and one of the options is Jonathan Roumie, who plays Jesus in the chosen- this really makes you feel close to God, at least for me. You can even change at what speed each narrator reads, in case your in a hurry, or have some extra time. Honestly, I suggest everyone here should give it a try. What’s the worst that could happen? You pray? :)

This app transformed my prayer life!. I started using this app about 8 months ago and I learned so many beautiful ways to pray! The content is rich with beautiful guided prayers and devotions, surpassing all apps... then Hallow goes and adds even more amazing content! Fr Mike Schmitz, a beautiful man of God with ways of speaking to connect anyone to the inner chambers of their heart and then, Hallow added content such as Jonathan Roumie, who plays Jesus on The Chosen, and reads Jesus's famous sermon from the Gospel of Matthew, chapters 5 - 9! Tears! Tears of joy and love! I LOVED THIS SO MUCH! Truly, last night I feel asleep listening to my Lord and Savior. I cannot thank the team at Hallow enough for this beautiful gift! It’s a must have! This team truly loves helping bring us all closer to God as it shows in each and every part of this app! May God bless and keep you, Hallow team! What a beautiful ministry he’s called you to! Praise God!

Love !. Hallow is a wonderful tool to have in my daily devotional time. I have enjoyed the variety of options and the care that has been taken to get all of this together. I especially like the music that has been added. Sometimes I just need the music in my prayer time. But don’t get me wrong I need the guided meditation most of the time. I was just looking through my history and remembered how much I learned during the Lenten meditations which lead me to he advent challenge. Thank you. My one issue is that I get locked out sometimes and have to go through some crazy steps to get back into Hallow. The team is very responsive to my issues and have helped me, however, it occurs randomly and some times it prevents me from using the app for a day or so. With that being said Hallow is totally worth the glitch ! Thank you again for Hallow.

I guess I’m too old…See Update Below. It took me a little time, but I figured out how to slow down how fast the people speak on this app. I couldn’t keep up with them, and even slowed down as much as I can, I still have difficulty keeping up. That’s why three stars. I’d have given five stars otherwise. I’m on a fixed income so I can’t afford the premium content but I appreciate the free content, thank you very much for it! You just need to have somebody do the prayers more slowly for us older people. UPDATE: Someone from Hallow reached out to me and explained what I need to do to slow down the speech, and how to do it. I was surprised they reached out, I’ve never had support like that before! So because of that I’ve changed from a three stars to a five stars review. Thanks for reaching out!!

Prayer goal badges not working. Editing since someone was kind enough to reach out to me, hopefully the problem will be resolved soon. I do enjoy this app. The prayer goal badges stopped tracking. It will say I’m on day 25 of 40 for the in the desert badge but my activity calendar says over 43 now. The hello and welcome badge says 0/9 but I’ve completed 6 all with green check mark beside them. I’ve tried to ask for help one time person did reply but simply asked me to check if my app was updated which I did before contacting help but I made double sure and then I sent screen shots of what was happening and more emails but it’s been weeks and no return response. This may seem trivial to some but if I’m paying this much for an app it should work. I’ve troubleshot all I could logged in and out even deleted the app and redownloaded and as I said the app and the phone software is up to date. It would be nice if someone would help or at least say they can’t.

So good!!. I don’t normally take the time to review apps but this one is so good that I had to. There are so many prayers to choose from and so many ways to customize the prayers for your schedule and preferences. This app has gotten me to pray every day when nothing else has! It is worth the $5 a month. After all, it is constantly being updated with new daily prayers and gospel readings. You can tell that a lot of time, talent, and resources have gone into this app and for goodness sake, the people who did all of this need to make a living somehow. An app is no different than a book, music, or whatever - the person who created it should get some reimbursement for their work. Please don’t expect high quality apps like this one to be free any more than you would expect people to give away their books or other works. If you’re not sure, do the trial and see for yourself. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Worth downloading!. I had the free version of hallow when I was a student and couldn’t afford the subscription and found even the free content to be incredibly well made and helpful with plenty of prayers and voices to choose from. For lent this year I decided to purchase the full version of the app now that I could afford it and it has blown my expectations out of proportion! No matter if you can afford the subscription or not, you should download the app and give it a try. Prayer is a tricky thing and different for everyone, but I really think both versions of this app has a little something for everyone! My favorite thing that is available for free is the reciting of Night Prayer with the comforting voices, background sounds, and beautiful and easy to use design

God Speaks Back….. I subscribed to the Hallow app on Ashe Wed. That night my 9yr old daughter was struggling to fall asleep. She came to get me and I tried my best to not grow annoyed like I can easily do by that time of day. I got out of bed and sat with her in her room to hear what was on her mind. She said, “I’m worried about the Chinese balloon…” 😒 I wasn’t aware she knew anything about its existence! I didn’t have the mindset to try to explain any of that so I asked if she wanted to listen to the app. It has tons of prayers, studies & mental health tips and we chose one of the 5-minute bedtime meditations entitled “let go of worry”. It started with “take a slow deep breath” (which Lord knows I say a million times a day to my kids, patients, & friends! My kids sometimes just huff at me and won’t apply the advice but since the APP was giving the instructions, she was so into it 🧘🏽‍♀️). And THEN the prayer opened up by saying “Imagine that each one of your worries is like a balloon…🎈” eventually letting it go up to God! I looked at my daughter and I’m like, we are literally sitting here worried about a balloon!! She started laughing and said “Mama I can’t believe that. We were just talking about balloons!” I simply said “Just remember God is always listening, sweetheart. Sometimes He will speak back -we just had be quiet & hit play!” Thank you for this wonderful app. I’ll be scrolling though all the options beyond these 40 days!

Mark 11: 15-17. And they came to Jerusalem. And he entered the temple and began to drive out those who sold and those who bought in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons. And he would not allow anyone to carry anything through the temple. And he was teaching them and saying to them, “Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations’? But you have made it a den of robbers.” TL;DR : this app will charge you $100+ a year to pray... this is a perfect example of exploiting Catholics for “access” to praying. I was raised as a strict catholic and this app is a scam. If they truly cared about giving prayer/meditation access to as many catholic as as possible they wouldn’t charge for any of it. This app shows, quite explicitly, the worst sides of money grubbing developers looking to make money on giving other Catholics access to their faith. As a business person, good for you for making a buck. As a catholic, you should be ashamed of yourself. This app shows which side the developers prefer to stay on.

Atheist to Hippie to Christian. My journey has been a long one. Born into the catholic faith before rejecting it and all religion as pre-industrial nonsense, to Jordan Peterson teaching of metaphysics and meaning, to using psychedelics and pursuing all religions for their meaning and developing my own new age belief, to 15+ years later finally being a Christian again. I’ve started using Hallow after many synchronicities in life have pushed me towards Christ, including The Chosen by Angel Studios, which made me want to be closer to Jesus. The actor portraying Him showed up in an advertisement for Hallow and I thought “what the heck, why not?” If you struggle with faith, I promise there is something to be gained from the practices. As Mary said to the wedding servants at Cana, “do whatever he tells you.” We are called to follow and obey before belief. That is the act of faith. He reaches out to each of us in whatever way He deems best. I ask you, app or not, to visit the Bible with an open mind, but more importantly, an open heart.

The best prayer guide on iTunes. This is app is very user friendly and well laid out. It’s helpful to me faith to lead in the Rosary and it’s great having prayer lead by Catholic celebrities such as Mark Wahlberg and Jim Caviezel. The paid option is worth every cent.

Very helpful. My prayer life was a bit all over the place before, but Hallow has given it gentle guidance and support. Very useful.

Spiritual Smorgasbord. What comfort to pray alongside thousands of others according to the Liturgical calendar. An excellent app that guides, prompts and challenges us to deeper intimacy with our Lord

Great App. Provides the right support structure for my prayer life. So far loving how the Lectio Divina deepens my focus for each day. Hallow offers choices of pace, is respectful of preferred modes of prayer and I highly recommend it for anyone seeking to pray.

Great app!. The app has a fantastic UI. I have only used the app once but I have a bit of feedback. For the gospels, I know Johnathan Roumie is the narrator but it doesn’t sound natural to hear a middle eastern accent while reading Jesus’ verses (this is coming from a middle eastern Christian). It makes sense in a TV show but not while reciting the gospels. Would it be possible to have another narrator who has a consistent voice? Also, during the rosary, I think it would be better for the narrator to read the sorrowful mystery before going into the Our Father or at least a pause for us to read it well. Overall great app!

Wonderful app. This is a wonderful app for prayer and podcasts. I’m so glad you added a search feature - that makes the app much easier to use. The other suggestion I have is to add the ability to favourite a novena ‘group’, rather than having to favourite all nine days of a novena individually to get them in your favourites.

Make no mistake. Make no mistake, God is as active now as he was 2,000 years ago when his son Jesus Christ was born of the Virgin Mary, crucified on the cross and rise again 3 days later. This is the #1 app to build a relationship with Jesus so that he is a part of your life in the same way he was with his family in Nazareth and his apostles as they evangelised the world to establish the church.

Sit, Listen & reflect. We tend to talk a lot and pray but this app helps you to sit, reflect and try to listen to the word and to God. I recommend this App for your Spiritual Journey.

Helped my prayer life. This app has actually helped me immensely. From moments of great prayer to then bare minimum, I found it very hard to go back. The whole app is so well curated with such an excellent mix of great talks, meditations, music,Saints prayers / it has so much ! Thanks for this wonderful app.

So blessed. I am so blessed to be using the app to grow and mature in my walk with God. It is easy to use the app anytime and anywhere. I am enjoying it!

Heavenly. Beautiful audio which really helps set the mood, clear readings, absolutely inspiring! Great work!!!! 👏👏👏

Pay to Pray????. Why on Earth would you charge someone to pray? This app should be free to the world to spread faith not discourage people to pray because they can’t afford to pay for your ridiculous prices. You should be ashamed. Very disappointing.

Charged for 1yr subscription after cancelling free trial. Not happy. Did a free trial and I didn’t really like the content so cancelled the subscription. At the end of the trial period we got billed the full 1 year subscription amount. Trying to get my money back.

Accent ruins it. Hallow has the potential to be incredible but what has put me off completely is that the gospels are read in an accent. There’s no purpose for this as the accent is not authentic and doesn’t make sense - Jesus nor the authors would’ve been speaking English so having an accent doesn’t help the experience. I would much rather just hear someone speak it rather than trying to put on something that isn’t true and sounds uncomfortable. I am ready to come back to the app if this aspect changes.

Life Changing. This is the only app I need. It is life changing and has drawn me closer to God in only 39 days since downloading it. My soul is finding peace for the first time in my 62 years. I'm so grateful to the founders. Bless you all.

Amazing App. The best tool in your spiritual journey. I am so inspired to pray since I started using the app. Great job team Hallow!

Charging to pray?. You should be ashamed. Charging people to worship and pray? Disgraceful. Our lord would be extremely disappointed.

Great prayer app. Found my first review from 11 May 2020, and I still feel the same way. This app has so many variety of praying, to accommodate different style of praying. From the lectio divina (meditation with the Bible) to praying with music, Sunday gospel, divine mercy, rosary and the short prayers like Angelus. I think the most creative ones are the guest-lead bible stories and praylists (list of prayers compiled together based on a theme, “calm” or “litanies” etc). Had some hiccups 2-3 times with my subscription or the prayer wasn’t uploaded in time for Australia time, and the team worked on my requests as soon as they can - due to the time difference. They made sure the problems are rectified. I love love love this app, thanking Alex and several other people who started this app and worked hard to develop it this far. Hopefully more people join with the subscription so they can continue to develop this app.. and maybe give the gift of subscription for free to those who can’t afford it. I saw the parish promotions for USA in the website 👍🏼👍🏼 Looking forward for Hallow to be translated to many languages, because that’s how good this app is.

Change to overlay after a prayer has finished. Could you guys please change the overlay so that the ‘Done’ button is the main one instead of ‘Share’ It is especially difficult whilst driving to attempt to hit a smaller button (Done) at the top right when it could easily be the main button. How many times is someone going to keep sharing during the day?

A valuable contribution to my Catholicism. I have found this app very helpful for developing and deepening my daily devotions.

Seeking the Father. Hallow is a great resource. It provides options for those ‘seeking the Father’. It provides encouragement and support to remain focused and to reflect on the revelations that come through seeking the Father.

Yeah?. Honestly it’s really good. It’s a very nice and easy aesthetic set up. It Medicare me to pray more and build a stronger relationship with god. But the money is just too much. The free option offers a lot but not enough. To be honest I think it should be free all the together because you would still make money from people downloading it. Right?

Speechless. This app has changed my life. Absolutely beautiful.

Great app. Far better than expected when I first downloaded it

Really would like this app but the voice is awkward. Finally an app with a really good offer on various kinds of prayers. Unfortunately I can’t listen to this female voice as it sounds simply uncomfortable. Maybe add a second voice option..

Work of Holly Spirit. Having such a wonderfull app with so many prayers , bible readings relevant to particular days it could be only done by holly people influenced by Holly Spirit. We are all invited to holiness. That is not all the list goes on: meditation, sleep prayers ….

Kim. Looking for prayer… reassurance…. Kind words… lessons. Everything i need … deep meaning and hope. Thankyou Father ….🙏

I love the freedom Hallow provides. I enjoy being able to choose a pray time that suits my gifted life. Loving praying the Psalms at the moment

A must have app. A very, very helpful app to practice mindfulness without excluding God away from us.

Great mindfulness app. This app is really required in this world right now. Meditation but with a catholic perspective and beautiful design. Can’t fault it!

Great content!. Worth the yearly subscription. A nicely designed app too.

Best purchase in a long time!. An amazing App! So many options, so many ways to deepen ones spiritual and prayer life. It’s hard to sit in silence and really try listen to God. The mediations are brilliant! I have been increasing my quiet time with God through these meditations, it’s such a helpful tool 🙏🏻 Instead of birthday presents, I’ll be paying for subscriptions for my loved ones 😇 Thanks to all that have made Hallow possible!

Great app. Really good meditation aid, easy to use and navigate. Very helpful for those wanting to deepen their catholic spirituality.

Catholic meditation. Please release an Apple Watch version so I can replace the breathe app with Hallow. I’d love 60 second prayers every hour on my wrist.

Exactly what was needed. This app is an answer to prayer - it combines the science of mindfulness with the Christian faith, and it just works so well to help anyone along in their prayer habit. So glad I came across it.

The content of Hallo is too “Catholic “ for me.. Although some of the content is “pleasant “, and does turn your attention to the Lord for the most part, unfortunately I find it too “Starchy Religious”, and not as relational & deeply spiritual as I had hoped. Thank you regardless. Bessie Andrews

Amen !. This is a great app, highly recommend. I love the Gregorian Chants in the background and found it very user friendly. Nice work 🙂

Best App. I have been looking for something like this for many years. Have tried a few, but this App is absolutely the best 🙏💕

Beyond expectation. I wasn’t sure what to expect but Hallow is a library spiritual resources for every part of my day. I thought I’m just going to use the free trial but I’m certain I will be keeping this for much longer than 10 days. Grateful and appreciative to all who contributed to this.

A deeply beautiful app. This beautiful app has very evidently been made prayerfully and with great thought and care. It is an oasis of stillness and beauty. There are enough prayer options (and prayer lengths) to suit your time of day/availability, but not so many that the choice is overwhelming. I would thoroughly recommend this lovely app to support your prayer life.

God, Christ Jesus, Mother Mary and Saint Joseph. They have always held my heart since I was a five year old. ❤️❤️❤️

Truely beautiful. The prayer are just so beautiful that you definitely feel gifted to hear such beauty

loving so far... but so pricey :(. i'm just beginning my journey with Gid and would prefer to listen to the bible than read it, because that's how i absorb information, but $100 for the hear after 7 days!?!? idk man seems kinda harsh

Hallow. Lovely guide voices, easy to use and visually very clear.

Love it!. It’s often hard for me to concentrate during prayer so I love being guided by someone on this app. There’s an abundance of prayers, options and resources to choose from. A must have!

Love this app 💕. This app has really helped me in my prayer life. I love how it helps me stick to a daily prayer routine. Very easy to use. Would definitely recommend. 10/10 😀

Everything you’re looking for. Filled with so much relevant content. So peaceful in its delivery. Variety is everything.

Catholic daily prayer app. A blessing to have a comprehensive guided prayer app. God bless all who are instrumental in creating this prayer platform, actively working, helping, supporting and promoting this initiative. I am positive that there are a lot of persons who are yearning to have a relationship with God, and this app is the pathway to lead them to Him. Blessings Mike Rego Australia

Beautiful and Awesome. This app has helped me grow closer to God and to pray more often. I love all the different styles of prayers and meditations on this app and it’s something that I’ve been using daily for over a year. It is a wonderful app and I thank God for the team who developped this app because it is simply amazing!

Finally!!. This app is such good news! I’m loving it already and have only had it for one day. There’s so much free content for which I’m immensely grateful. Thank you Hallow, and I’m sure it’s all going to make a huge difference in peoples lives for the better!

Great but sucks that there’s premium. I love the organization this app can add to a prayer routine, devotional or overall faith journey, however, it would be nice if it could be free or like a buy once app rather than subscribing to payment plans. Overall, love the app, good Catholic content, good aesthetics, so much to offer and explore!!! Wonderful job creators :))

The best part of my day that makes everything else more meaningful and intentional.. Grateful for the Holy Spirit led people who create this app. I cancelled Prime, Crave and Spotify Prime to have this app instead.

Connection. This app is really helping connect with god. It calms me. It puts me in the peace of god. God bless you all and have a bless day!

Glorious. We need this app

Spiritual app. The best spiritual app. I love this app. 💯💕

Awesome app. I believe that this app will improve my relationship what God

I’ve resisted purchasing this app for so long. Though I’ve knew about this app, I resisted signing on to this app as I thought this app was just like most other apps, claiming a lot but not really having much substance, also I thought I was a Protestant based app. But since signing onto the app, just now, I realize I was so wrong, it’s content is Catholic based and it’s a wonderful guide to help you pray and learn and to align your thoughts and prayers with the Will of God. I have not scratched the surface of this app yet, but the little I’ve explored is life altering to me. Thank you God for showing this app to me again and prompting me to take a leap of faith and purchase the app. It was so worth it. Thank you God and bless the wonderful people who made this app.

Fantastic. This app is great and it’s made prayer easier and more accessible. Worth all of the money. Helpful articles online too

Wonderful. Thank you for such a great app

So inspiring. I have listenedi

Free trial months ?. Not really free - gathering information app ? No idea - good prayers though . The free trial should be marked as a bonus as you do have to sign over your credit card information. I am not giving credit card information for a free three month trial .

Has potential. I would rather a donation instead of a fixed rate & would have appreciated knowing upfront it’s only 30 days free! The man’s accent put me off, I would have rather hear it natural instead of putting on a voice! I would have liked to hear Mark Wahlberg who was spokes person about the app. There was one line criticizing Pagans & I have heard some Pagan’s criticize Christians and that should be avoided & off putting because Pagans became Christian at one time!

My life will never be the same.. I’m so thankful for this app. Starting my day praying with everyone else on the Hallow app is so wonderful. I honestly feel God’s love for me through the Hallow app every day. Reading through the Bible with Father Mike- so, so awesome. Highly recommend.

Life changing. Life changing Hallow App. Thank you

Hallow. Hallow is a wonderful resource. I’m so glad that it was recommended to me.

God Bless. Thank you so much for this amazing App, what a blessing !

I love it. Sure you have to pay to be premium but you can still do plenty of stuff if you turn on your notifications at ten am you get a notification telling you it’s time to pray and you also choose how much time your prayer lasts. I really enjoy it. Thank you👍🏽

Beautiful App, Except…. I love this app, however, this maybe only me…Why do the faces have NO EYES? I know it may not bother others, but it’s freaky, unnerving, & unnatural for me to see. I’ve see 100s, 1000s pics of Jesus with eyes. I know Jonathan R., Mark W., have eyes. Why this kind of Art? Perhaps it’s a style of the artist? Sorry again…just my thoughts & feelings & weird to know that my favourite person (s) have no eyes while putting me to 😴 sleep. 😳😊

Great Gift to the Church. I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of this app. I’m going to tell other people about it for sure!

Incredible app. Really enjoying the app great for daily prayers and bible readings. Highly recommend!

A nice habit. Our family does the quiz every day !

Rosary. I love and appreciate that the rosary is so easy to access and available to pray whenever I want.

Playlist. Amazing content! Although I really hope that it would have a playlist function for creating my own playlists.

Sacred. I am not catholic but Jonathan Roumie has a great voice to read scripture . So I thought what the heck, let’s get it. I have come to have a routine of listening to the daily scripture every morning and then do the examens at night. It’s not about the chosen Jesus anymore. What this catholic app reminded me was the sacred part of Jesus. I don’t understand everything on this app but I love what I have found that brings me closer to God. You won’t regret it.

Not free as advertised. I heard about this app on either on tv or on a radio station. It advertised as a free app. But didn’t say anything about it being only 14 days free. Plus I can’t afford anything that costs money. I have 2 other apps that are 100% free year round.

Amazing! 🤩🤩. The people who created and designed this app are genius! This helps me to get closer to God and pray even more. I love the way the app is designed. It is relaxing. The prayers are just magic! I 100% recommend this app to everyone.

Agreed app that has helped me rebuild my spiritual life!. Life can get so busy and setting aside time to spend with God and the Bible can be challenging. It has helped me spend time with the Lord while I’m on the go. I love the many different prayers available. I love the “Challenge” that happens throughout the year. I love that there’s ways you can listen to the scripture and meditate on the scripture. The only thing I would say is missing is it’s not compatible with Apple CarPlay. It would be great if it could be! God bless!

Fasting - food with Mark W.. My husband enjoyed this and we will continue, but we are missing a video to go with it. We are also doing Praymore Retreat and with a video, it is much more powerful. We DO appreciate the time and effort put forth from such beautiful Catholic Christians! In Jesus, Mike and Patty

Brilliant Prayer App. Hallow is like a prayer app and community all in one. With its interactive features, participation of prominent Catholics, an abundance of content and so much more, Hallow is more of a lifestyle than just an app to check in to. My favorite feature is ‘groups’ where my extended family and I have come together from all over the world to pray together as a community. I love the prayer intentions that we can submit in this section and all pray together for those intentions.

Too many locked sections. The few things that are unlocked are great but I am a religious with no possibility of subscribing so the things I was hoping to use this for are unavailable.

Saints alive. Saints alive in Hallow is really good

Keeps crashing. I’m trying it for Lent on my iPad Pro, but it keeps crashing.

Something’s Missing.. This was an old review, blow, but I will include it in case you didn’t receive it. Although lately I’ve been a little disappointed in the variety I seem to have stuck with the same things over and over again. The ones I really enjoy with the series but I don’t really know how to access them they just sort of appear. I would like a way the look at all the choices that are available to me in terms of series availability. Really enjoying the Bob Schuhts series, along with many others. KjT Really impressed with the variety. Recouping from gallbladder. Surgery and used it in the hospital as well. Praying Rosary etc. Bishop, Gregorian chants... KjT Recently I encountered some problems with my subscription and Kasey, (support) really helped me out. Also met Alex the founder through rebooting my Hollow app. Most interesting history and story. I definitely get my money’s worth out of the yearly subscription. Kerry

Gratitude. Hello my name is Michael.I would like to thank all the people involved in this particular app who came together.just an incredible, convenient way to get in contact with the spirit at any given time , whether day or nite. After loosing contact with the spirit, nor opening a bible in 13 years . To come back whole heartedly and the multiple thing the app can provide is unimaginable. Also to get back and do the rosary with me wahlberg . Just amazing and refreshing each day . My gratitude forever! Yours Truly Michael Leo Capoferri

Best app I’ve ever downloaded ❤️‍🔥. This app is so amazing and has really helped me grow I’m my faith. Some of my favourite prayers are Lent pray 40, Jeff Cavins daily reflections, Marian consecration, and many many more! Jonathan Roumie (who plays Jesus in the chosen) is also one of the speakers and he is my favourite!!! Thank you so much Hallow.

God,the father Almighty. I am very happy to hear the word of God.Also I thank him for sitting with him through Hallow. But only following the way that Jesus showed us through BIBLE

Fees. The monthly fee of $4.99 turns into an annual fee of $79.99 after first month. Pretty deceptive and not above board - most app buyers are used to a monthly fee, but this fee structure is underhanded. Well done Catholic prayer app, one more reason to delete this app. I hope you are happy and feel good about stealing my money.

So grateful for Hallow!!!. Hallow is a truly beautiful prayer app! It has been such a blessing to me and has shaped my prayer life in a very positive way. I love their prayer challenges. I also really appreciate that there’s new content being added all of the time! This incredible app just continues to get better and better! Thank you Hallow!

not bad. I listen to bible in a year and catechism in a year on youtube. The other features on Hallow are nice- wow 77 dollars for a year is not inexpensive. To put that in a perspective, I can buy a license key for computer software as One time purchase.... if Hallow a lifetime price of 80 dollars it would make sense.

Great app. As a Christian i haven’t been very close with my religion, Ive only progressed two days in to Hallow yet I am certain that this will bring me much much closer to god/Jesus. I was never someone to read big books, especially the Bible. thank you hallow you are a great app. :)

Prayer Changes Everything. I love listening to the stories from the Bible. The reflection, and new perspective is life changing. I wish I could afford to pay for this app. Thanks for the free content

It’s good for night. It’s amazing

AirPlay issues.. I’m unable to AirPlay the music to Non apple devices. I can AirPlay from the official Apple Music app and others, but not from Hallow to other devices. No error messages. I can see the music playing on the hallow app but the audio does not AirPlay to the external device.

Best prayer app ever. Never thought that I will finally have a prayer app that I can count on every prayer time that I have or on the road where I want to reflect. Also I am so please that they welcome Cardinal Tagle on Hallow for his the Word Exposed episode!

Prayer is much more relaxed. thankyou for putting this together. I can only afford the free version But still very helpfull.I wish there was some free night mediations in it.

Very helpful with a lot of resources. I am so happy to see this app available for us, to guide us in certain way to pray more and to connect with our Lord Jesus Christ. I’ve been sleeping more peaceful now that I have a routine before sleep and a routine to start my day. The voices are very calm and relax. The app itself is very well developed, the usability and categories are well designed! Congrats to your dev team.

Dedicate yourself.. save yourself. The shallow app brings you into a deep thoughtful meaning of prayer, taking you on a journey of enlightenment, highly recommended for devout Catholics or returning Catholics, Viva Christo Rey

Unnecessary Pauses. The readers pause for long periods of time from 30s to several minutes for seemingly no reason

Voice. The voice is too slow, it’s nice that the lector is relax and this is calming but, it’s so slow that it is frustrating, maybe I am resisting a new method that God is trying to form me into, but the breathy and slow speech is irksome. But the content is amazing thank you so much.

It’s almost perfect. This is truly the best app ever. I’ve had amazing prayers and It was done wonders in my life but I wish it had a digital bible in it And I wish I could write a reflection on the app while it’s playing instead of waiting until it’s over

Love this app. I have been seeing the advertisements for this app and wondering about it. Well I am going through some things and my anxiety and stress levels are high and my heart , heavy. I came across the advertisement again and decided I wanted to see what it was all about. I talk and pray to God but often find that I can’t find the words to say what I’m feeling or what I need. Often feeling that I have so much to say or talk about that I don’t know where to start and trying to remember it all overwhelms me and then I’m lost. Well the very first night with this app and I was crying. I felt the Holy Spirit and a sense of peace. It was in Gods timing and I’m grateful and thankful for this app!! Thank you Jesus!! Amen

What a Blessing!. I’m currently using the free trial of Hallow but have decided that it’s definitely worth subscribing. There are so many features that I love. #Pray 40: St. Joseph is a beautiful daily way to prepare for Easter. The Lent music is beautiful, I especially love listening to the instrumental arrangements. Also love the litanies, rosary, and chaplets. I’ve used the sleep meditations to help me fall asleep at night. I like that I can put a prayer on repeat and set a sleep timer. In the short time I’ve used it, they’ve added new content. They also sent an email asking for suggestions to improve the app, and sent back a response that they are working on my suggestions! This app is improving my prayer life and bringing me closer to God. God bless the folks at Hallow!

Great for starting! But.... I’ve recently grown back into praying and exploring my faith but needed a guide for when I pray The Rosary on my own and I’ve been using this app for that! I pray mostly at night before bed so the calm voice is soothing and slow enough for me to keep up, like I said in the title, this would be a great app for those just starting to explore their faith or those returning but maybe a prayer book tab on the progress screen would be a nice addition for some of us. I rated this 4 stars because I just wish there was some more features available in the free version, I understand that the developers need some paychecks for this amazing app but users should get some more like a few Bible stories and what not. All that considered, I love this app and will continue to use. 😇

A Huge Blessing. This app is amazing, and I am so thankful to everyone who puts their time and effort into making it the excellent prayer resource that it is. I am a working mom of three, and after the arrival of our third child, I was struggling to get my prayer routine back on track. At the recommendation of a friend, I downloaded this app and found a way to seamlessly weave into my day the word of God, traditional prayers, and new ways of sitting with the Lord - not to mention all delivered in voices that are “like butter.” The free version is fantastic, but I encourage anyone who is able to upgrade to the Plus version, which offers so many great features and importantly supports the mission and work of those who make this incredible content available in a world-class platform.

“Pray Later” + Groups. I use the app everyday and it’s been so helpful for my prayer and mindfulness life. I really wish there was a “Pray Later” option for prayers that I could move to a queue when I didn’t have time to pray them. Often times I see a prayer I want to do, but can’t find it later. Also, groups doesn’t feel user-friendly. I would love it if there were an option for public groups or if it were easier to interact with others in your prayer group. Also, instead of sharing ALL your prayers to a group or NONE it would be great to have an option at the end of each prayer to share to a group. Thanks for the great app! It always works and doesn’t crash for me.

Matthew. Currently listening to Jonathan Roumie read Matthew it’s been great because It’s hard for me to sit down and read listening to the audio version of the Bible gives me time to listen and the ability to “rewind” where I want to rehear certain portions. I also love that the app gives a place for you to write your thoughts on what was heard. I haven’t looked much into the app but I hope in the future the rest of the New Testament will be available audible (?) and or even the Old Testament and or devotionals on books of the Bible to understand Jesus’ possible meaning for some of his parables or even why certain things were done in the Old Testament that are confusing to me. Thank you Hallow

Made a Big Difference. I sleep better and pray more. I bought the app initially to help me sleep and I’ve had it now for about two years. The first year I only used the sleep mediation and It is very effective. After a year I decided to look through the rest of the app and see what it’s about. I found so many things I love - Daily Exegesis, Daily Minute, Truth and Life New Testament reading, Daily Catholic trivia, Daily Saints, Jeff Cavins Bible reflections, Challenges and other amazing content. My favorite challenge was Easter challenge on The Acts with Dr Scott Hahn. The app is very appealing from the nice interface that allows for background noise - rain, river, Gregorian chant and great voices leading the prayers some of whom are well known such as Mark Walberger, Jim Cavizel, Johnathan Roumie.

AMAZING. I just started the app and I’ve been dealing with something that has impact my emotionally and that’s why I got the app to help me find something to keep my mind off it and on the first prayer I played it was taking about what I needed help overcoming and I started to cry cause this has been going on for a while and I really needed help I started to hate my life and I thought that go abandoned me cause of the fact that the rest of my life was amazing but now thanks to the prayer and the app that has changed and I feel better and know hope that go will put me on a path that will fit me and put people that will help me overcome stuff that I can’t do alone Thank you for this app I really needed it♥️

A Fantastic App!. When asked to write reviews I only will do so when they are positive. Finding “Hallow” has been such a blessing! Eleven years ago I came back home to the Catholic Church. Being raised in a pretty much non practicing Catholic family my “spiritual journey” led me down an Evangelical/Protestant path where I attended various churches along the way for many years. The study of sacred scripture was paramount at all times. The preaching and teaching was a blessing but what was missing was the Eucharist! The body, blood, soul and divinity of Jesus Christ can only be found in “the church”. I could not deny that. It changed my life for the better and forever. In the “evangelical world” many “tools” to grow the faith exist and flourish as technology grows. “Hallow” is as good as it gets as one of these “tools” in the Catholic faith. All of the contributors, the music/artists, Father Schmitz and Bishop Barron and the two best men who have ever played Jesus 😁 make this app a Godsend! I go to the app now almost daily. I look forward to seeing how it grows as time goes on. Keep up the great work!! God Bless, Hank

Pricey. … to make money off of God’s word. Doesn’t feel right. Kind of like the uccb copyrighting the Bible. It’s just not right. Edit: perhaps the uccb is to blame for developers wanting to make money off of God’s word. I think apps like these are not that difficult to create. If the uccb made the Bible free to use, then it would enable developers to create a free service. As it is we are forced to use antiquated versions of the Bible .. which is a non-starter for this developer. Reference uccb: “The Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD) owns the copyright on the New American Bible, revised edition translation. The copyright allows the owner to protect the integrity of the text so that individuals may not introduce changes without permission. Royalty fees earned by licensing the text to companies who publish and sell Bibles help to provide funds for Scripture scholarship and other educational needs”. I disagree with this uccb approach. And perhaps it is a trigger for me that this hallow app stepped on.

Excellent but one suggestion. This APP is amazing and keeps getting better as it grows. It provides such a variety of prayers and meditations and different ways that help build relationship with God. It’s also exciting to see how it is growing in Spanish resources as well. I only have one suggestion. As a person who is a visual learner and who struggles with just auditory input, it would be great if there were texts to read while you listen in areas such prayers, lectivo divina, Latín, any part that includes readings from the Bible. The texts could even be a choice one could make in the settings, if it would be too much to include in the APP for everyone. Just a suggestion to make a great APP even better!

Best app for meditation and prayer!!!. There are a number of apps available for meditation and prayer: Catholic, non-Catholic Christian, and secular. Hallow is by far the best of them all! I’ve also used Amen, which has much less content, is harder to use, and with a look and feel that is rather antiquated. Hallow is the opposite of all of that and more. If you’re looking for guided meditations, non-guided meditations, the Rosary, Stations of the Cross, daily passages and biographies of the saint of the day, homilies from luminaries like Bishop Barron and Fr. Mike Schmitz, Bible in a Year, or great content from Scott Hahn, Jeff Cavins, and many others, all in a contemporary, easy-to-use user experience, than this is the app for you. Highly, highly recommended!

Perfect for guided reflection. As someone who was raised Catholic but identifies as not particularly religious, I was curious about Hallow and how different it would be from meditation apps I’ve used in the past. What really differentiates Hallow from Insight Timer and Headspace is that it has been (at least for me) more like guided introspection than guided meditation... it creates space for both stillness and personal growth. Examens are my favorite, maybe because they seem less about one’s relationship with God than the guided prayers. They’re great for reflection at the end of the day. The customization options for voice, length, background music, level of guidance are great touches. I highly recommend Hallow - for both devoted Christians and people just curious about getting back into prayer or spiritual reflection.

Finally, CATHOLIC guided meditation!. So very thankful to have heard about this app through the Abiding Together podcast. It’s just what I’ve been looking for! I appreciate guided “centering” or meditation apps and usually ended up in prayer through them anyways (I need them as a means to quiet my very busy brain down!). BUT, having an app that starts with prayer or scripture or Catholic reflections gets my head and heart into actual prayer mode more quickly and purposefully than just a general app made for mind-clearing. I especially enjoy the Daily Lectio meditations. And I really appreciate the feature that allows me to type in some of my prayers or thoughts right when I finish praying. Good job creating this app for Catholics!

Bugs & Glitches. UPDATE #2: 1300 hrs & the app is working! Amazing response time which is why you deserve 5 🌟 every day all day! Thank you for a wonderful app that feeds our souls. 😇🙏🏼 UPDATE: I have prayed all of my prayers from 9am until noon, but only the Morning Offering at 9am was check marked. It may be helpful to note that the Activity is registering, just not being marked off in the Routine. 17 Jan 2024 ~ I’ve been following the app in prayer since Lent 2023. LOVE IT! On 11 Jan there was a Bug Fix Update & everything seemed fine until this morning when tge app suddenly stopped ticking off tge prayers I sat in my Routine every day. I started again, and prayers were not ticked of. Help…you didn’t squash all the bugs!

Latest update makes the app very slow. Edit: Now the content loads well and I’m back to loving it! It has brought my prayer life to a new dimension. For me it’s definitely worth the subscription 💕 I love praying with this app. I will change my rating to 5 stars if you can fix this issue. I have a whole long routine every morning and a shorter one at night. This morning I couldn’t get through my prayers because the app is so slow. I think my phone ran the latest update overnight because it looks a bit different as well. Please help! On a side note, I can’t add the St. Therese of Lisieux novenas to my routine. That would be nice to do as well as I love that novena. God bless!

Nice app!!!. NOTE: that once you run out of free content, there’s really not much more to explore. Also, this seems to be more catholic than Christian based. But this app has helped me so much during COVID when they had way more content. This was the app that helped me pray consistently and get closer to God. I loved this app so much and although I don’t use it as much now (because they took away a lot of the free prayer guides, now you have to have premium to use them), I come back to it often because it’s the best prayer app I’ve ever used and they still have content for free users. I’m considering paying for a monthly subscription for sure! I paid for a year a few months ago and it didn’t use it as much.

Best prayer app! 1 recommendation.... This prayer app is so great! I have been using it myself and I have passed it along to friends who needed help learning how to pray. I am really grateful for the free trial option! My app recommendation is to put a “search” option within the app so we can search for specific types of prayer. Like today I tried to look if Hallow had any night prayer. I assume they didn’t because I didn’t see it on my recommendations. It would be nice to have an option if we could look up different categories or prayer options. That would be my only recommendation for improvement! Other than that the app is very user friendly and is so helpful in the interior life! Thank you for creating this app!

Wonderful Concept, Good App. As a young and adventurous Catholic, I have learned about the practice of meditation and all the glorious benefits for mind and body. I was using a different app and I enjoyed it but was always rephrasing the guidance to picture God. This app does that for me and so much more!! I love the aesthetics of the app, so pretty and soothing. I also really appreciate the journal option after each session. I’m not sure when the daily Lectio Divina resets... I did it last night around 5:00pm and this morning at 8:30am it was still the same reading. ?? I even closed the app and reopened it but that didn’t help. I’ll try it again tomorrow but I was hoping to hear a different reading in today’s practice. Other than that, I love this app! Thank you guys for creating this space!!

The best Catholic app!!!!. This app is phenomenal. I downloaded it for Lent after hearing about it from LizziesAnswers. I used to to learn how to pray the Rosary! This app has so much in it, Divine Mercy Chaplet, minute meditations, the Rosary, and Bible stories read by different people, and the Bible in a Year podcast with Fr Mike Schmitz. And that’s all the FREE version! I had used the app everyday so I decided to buy a year subscription. $60 is so worth it! It unlocks EVERYTHING!!! It’s so fantastic, there are more prayers and prayer options to choose from, daily Saints, and Novenas to join! I’m currently a part of the St Joseph Novena. Not to mention, the customer support is amazing! For some reason my streak had gone from 26 to 1 despite having used the app and prayed the St Michael Prayer. I contacted customer support and they got into contact with me within a few hours and fixed the problem! They were so efficient and so very kind! This app is so much more than what I expected, the paid version is worth every penny, and you still have so much with the free version as well. Every person who has made this app what it is deserves a round of applause👏👏 God bless, Sky :)

Gentle Encouragement. As a stay at home mom, I struggle to carve out enough time to God in my day to just talk to Him and more importantly to listen to Him. Hallow has been a wonderful tool to gently remind me and encourage me to do just that. I can’t say enough about this app. It has truly helped me get started on the path of more time for God. There are so many tools available for prayer and reflection I have only scratched the surface but the themed prayer groups during Lent, Holy Week and Easter are amazing. It’s also refreshing that I don’t have to worry about hearing something that skirts Church Teaching, Hallow is 100% faithful to the Magestrium. Thank you all at Hallow for the many hours, days, weeks, and months you have spent to give this gift to the world.

Life changing. I can’t remember where I first heard about the Hallow app but I downloaded it in October 2022 and tried the free trial. Very soon after, my “routine” option on the app was filled and I had saved so many “favorites.” I felt that paying for this app was worth every penny, and I would send to my family and friends often. This app jump started my faith formation journey and I never realized how much I don’t know about my own faith and how little I actually prayed and understood about our creator and savior. I can’t wait to hear the daily devotionals, insight on the daily gospels, the homilies, the lives of the saints, etc. I feel blessed to have been given this opportunity and I feel that I need to tell everyone!

Thank you. I am a devout Christian 12 years of Catholic school I am Roman Catholic I’ve prayed my whole life and went on different apps and this app I am trying it’s definitely one of the best ones I’ve ever encountered I love the way you can gear your prayers with a purpose all the other apps are just redundant without a focus you give the people an opportunity to focus on specific thingsI love the novenas please keep this up-to-date and at this time of all what is going on in the world especially Ukraine which I am definitely praying for and meditating on with the guide of this app thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you you’ve done more than you realize if you’ve done this for one person me just imagine how many people you have touched

Thank you. I really like the app. It is one of 4 religious apps I am now using. I’ve just started using them all daily, so I haven’t explored all the features in them. I was initially discouraged by the pay wall on Hallow but was able to find enough free content to enjoy, so thank you. I listen to the daily Lectio with Jonathan Roumie currently-love it! I’m not against paying for content but I don’t like subscriptions. Perhaps you could meet some financial needs by using micro-transactions on some content. It’s just that with so many apps out there charging subscriptions, it gets out of hand financially. But I can easily see me exploring your app and listening to a free sample of one content you have, and then paying a small amount to continue forward on that particular content ONE time-and not per episode- (rather than 70$/year for everything, most of which I won’t get to… I’m sure it’s great content, but just hard to use everything!) Anyway, if I ever do decide on a favorite Bible app and to subscribe to one of them financially, this one is among my top picks! Until then, I’ll keep exploring your free content! It’s a blessing 🤗

Quite literally an answer my prayers!🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻. This app helps me in so many ways to keep track of my prayers. I can track my novenas, pray along with the Bible and people all over the world as Fr. Mike Schmitz reads and teaches from the Bible or simply fall asleep to the beautiful music of Latin chant. The only thing that would make it a tiny bit better would be if I could track and access the app from my Watch. I often leave my phone in various places in the house, so beginning the rosary with my watch or something like that would a great way to disconnect my phone but stay connected with my app and prayers. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️ God bless you all and looking forward to an amazing #Lent2023

Me. I am 61. I grew up in a Catholic family. I wished things could’ve been explained, and taught in a less fearful manner than I grew up in. I was a horrible young person. They were seven of us six boys and me. Listening to this app and father Mike just makes things so loving and so clear and so easy. My Catholic church at home years and years ago was a very very scary place. All seven of us left the church behind physically emotionally etc.. thank you so much for this app I’m left, feeling thoughtful, but loved. Guilty, but with a much straighter path. We go to a non-denominational church that we love. But I have never lost my love for the Catholic Church.. thank you from the bottom of my broken heart.

trust me. i was questioning my faith, i was always stressed. i even felt suicidal at times. then i started getting ads for this app. after a lot of contemplation, i decided the ads were a sign to download it. when i got the app, the first thing recommended to me was a one minute long meditation called, “Jesus, I trust in you”. as soon as i pressed play, i felt at peace. a weight lifted off of me. not just metaphorically, but physically. a headache, that i didn’t wven know i had, disappeared. i was completely calm and just so happy. so if your feeling like how i felt, i encourage you to try this app. trust me, i know this wont be for everyone, but i want you to try. your not committing to anything huge. just try it once.

Thought this was an amazing app. BEWARE. I have subscribed and used Hallow for a while. I also promoted this to everyone I could. When the Lenten Challenge came out I immoderately used daily as did my wife on my phone. Her sisters were also interested so we decided to up my account to a family account. That’s when the trouble started. Her two sisters could not set up their accounts as did my wife. She could get on the app but not the Lenten Challenge. All three ladies we required to join Hallow. Then to find out I could not get into the Lenten Challenge either. There is absolutely no support whatsoever. I was working with some one via the info email. That communication has now gone dark. That last thing I would ever want to do is give this amazing app a negative review. I just feel there is no recourse we’ve spent $100 for nothing. The last thing I want to give up for Lent is Hallow. I will be deleting my account and let my Subscription expire.

Amazing app. This is the app I have been looking for, for years. In so many ways. The daily gospel reading allows to to really draw something that transforms and changes you, in the middle of your busy life. I listen to it while getting dressed in the morning and while commuting. It allows me to hear God's voice even in busy day. I've tried to do an daily examen so many times. But now I'm fruitfully doing it regularly. I loved the guest speakers. They really know how to directly speak to the challenges that many of us as a younger generation face. This is an amazing, life changing app. You don't have to wait until retirement to deepen your spiritual life. You can do it now, with this app, in the midst of your busy life and have authentic rich experiences.

Voices. I purchased this app and think the content is excellent, but I haven’t heard enough updates about different voices. The guests are a breath of fresh air but the main voices are a struggle to listen to. I also have to fight the thought that the voices belong to white people, which is not a problem, but also not a fair representation of the millions of Catholics of colour out there, especially those endowed with voices meant to be heard. Headspace has Andy and nobody to my knowledge complains about how he sounds because he sounds great. If this app were free I would be quiet but to make a business out of it no matter how pure the motives—the lack of focus on engaging users by either training the voices they have or getting those who have training or naturally engage with their sound is an honest problem for me. I really want to love this app because my faith means so much for me, so I continue to try to suffer through this until my subscription ends, after which I will likely pray on my own.

Outstanding!. Hallow is the best app I have on my iPhone. The Bible in a Year with Fr Mike drew me in with his warm sense of humor and and deep knowledge of scripture and background. There are so many stories of saints, my favorite is the story of a soul. a I love getting to know the Saints as ordinary people living extraordinary holy lives. There’s The Catechism of the Catholic Church in a Year. The prayers, the different kinds of rosaries. It seems to have everything one could want. The preparation for Lent and prayers, special prayers, after Easter have been the best Lent and Easter I have had! They have music in each season, which really adds so much to it! I also enjoy the guests. I could go on and on. The App is a gift to help live in these times!

Hallow. This is a tool that truly helps me to get closer to God. I should delete every other app and use this every moment that I feel weak. I love God and what God has done for me in my life. The Hallow app helps me to give praise to Jesus Christ whose sacrifice is my only way to salvation. I pray that I sustain the use of this tool and that others may find it and use it also. The world is such a broken place and I don’t pretend to understand HIS plan but pray that HIS Kingdom come. I need guidance and reflection to better understand God’s word and this tool helps. Thank you to the developers of it. You are blessed and will continue to be blessed by your work on behalf of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Love you all!!

Such a blessing!. Thank you hallow! This app has been such a blessing to me! It has deepened my prayer life 100 fold. It has opened up to me the beauty of prayer, devotion and meditation. It brings new content regularly which is so enlightening and new. I feel like I’ve got a whole list of a prayer family with me daily. Many of the guides I feel are my friends and I look forward to walking with them in prayer. Every segment brings me closer in wisdom and understanding to our Lord. It gives me much to ponder throughout my day. I feel like I have my own personal catechists with me every day. I have learned so much about my faith and prayer. Thank you too everyone who works so hard to bring Hallow to all people. I am so grateful for this blessing in my life.

Great App… but. This app is great. It helps with daily prayer and devotions and has really helped me pray the rosary daily for a few months now. It is definitely an wonderful prayer tool. The layout of the app is beautiful and sleek, but I have some suggestions because I feel the navigation could be better. A. It would be great if the top area when you first log in could have you swipe right and left. It would be great if you could pick up where you left off. Example: I log in for the first time and the top is automatically the next day of the novena, but I don’t want to do that right now. I want to listen to the next recording from BIAY. I have to scroll all the way down and find that, then scroll all the way over and find the episode I’m on. It would be nice if I could just swipe right on the Novena recommendation and it would show me where I left off. B. A search tool at the top to take you to exactly where you need to go. Do yo want to do a full 15 decade rosary? Look up 15 decade rosary. Do you want to go to Bible in a year? Daily devotions? C. I also haven’t actually found a 15 decade rosary on the app (if there is one, the navigation has prevented me from finding it). It would be great if you could add that in.

Hallow Makes DEEP Prayer Feel Like the Shallow End. Sit in prayer spot; headphones on; click a button; deep personal prayer. My day looks different when I use Hallow for 15 minutes than when I neglect to use it. I don’t think I’ve ever written an App review but this App deserves one. I have received some high quality and high quantity formation and practice in the art of the spiritual life (of meditation and contemplation and the like) through time as a missionary and Religious brother. I did not think this App would do much for me but I was wrong. Hallow makes DEEP prayer so much more accessible. I find connecting with Jesus more likely when I follow the guides in these meditations rather than doing my own thing in prayer. I move more from my head to my heart. I feel differently. I live differently.

Not sure how to access free only version. I had read reviews and was concerned about being charged when I wanted to utilize the free version. My sister and nephew both use it (for a few months and over a year, respectively), so I decided to give it a try. As soon as I downloaded the app, I saw “free trial,” and a way to purchase for a year. I understand the amount of work put into developing and maintaining a meaningful app, but at this time I am only interested in the free version. When I tried to access the first day of Lent material, I received the “free trial” message again. I deleted the app before O can be charged. Once I am clear on how to access only the free content, I will feel more comfortable downloading the app again.

Exactly what I needed. This app was totally a gift from the Holy Spirit. I’d been feeling God calling me to more silence and struggled with just listening during prayer. One morning while eating breakfast I looked at my IPad and noticed the purple app and and wondered what it was. I didn’t remember downloading it but must have. I’ve been trying it for the last two weeks and absolutely loving it! I’m been able to sit in silence with God longer, started listening to the Bible in a Year podcast on there, and have explored some of the prayers and music that it has. Just signed up for the year and know it will be a huge help going forward. Planning to recommend it to family and friends.

Catholic app FYI; must cancel free/subscription from app. If this app wasn’t specifically geared towards Catholicism I would have been more interested in giving it a try. However I stupidly missed the cues - the personalities highlighted, which were either unknown to me and/or irrelevant. Trying to delete the subscription isn’t obvious at first but didn’t take too much work finding : you have to upload the app from the store, enter it/login, then find the me button and go through that until you get to subscription button. Any other method may only delete the app and not the $ubscription!!! Please ensure that you don’t have an active subscription because deleting the app from your device does not cancel your subscription. You can follow the steps in this article to confirm if you still have an active subscription or not. Once confirmed that you don’t have a subscription, you can delete your account. Your account will be fully deleted from our platform in 48hrs. If you'd like to cancel the deletion, just log in to your account before the 48hrs is up. How to delete an account on the app: WARNING: THIS CANNOT BE REVERSED AT A LATER DATE. Tap on the "Me" tab in the bottom right of the screen Then hit the cog in the top right of the screen. It is the Settings symbol that you see circled in red in the image. Tap on your Name and Email address Hit "Delete My Account"

Great app to fortify your spiritual journey to Christ!. I started off with the free trial of this app. However, it was not long at all before I decided it would be worth every penny to subscribe to this since this this app really strengthens my spiritual practices. Of note, I like that it has prayers available in different languages. I have made it a goal to learn how to pray the Lord’s Prayer in all the languages available in this app, currently Spanish, Portuguese, Latin, and even Aramaic! hopefully, someday French, Italian and German will be available. There are so many available prayers and lectures available in this app; I particularly enjoyed the newest one by father Vincent Lampert on spiritual warfare. I highly recommend giving this a trial but it is certainly well worth the money spent for this app.

My new best friend. This app, with all of the wonderful hosts who facilitate it for us, has been my go to for Lent, but I’m also loving all the meditations and novenas. I’m just now digging into the different learning shows and prayer sessions with some of the most respected Catholic leaders in the clergy as well as lay people that are out there. Turn off all the outside noise of the world and connect with God in a way like no other. If you’re like me, and get stuck sometimes in concentration in prayer, this app guides you right back to a quiet plaice where you can hear God speak to you and you can relax in His power and love. I recommend Hallow in the highest possible way! Enjoy and may God bless Hallow and all its members!

New age meditation and cost. Be very careful with this app. I signed up to try the Advent devotional with Jonathan Romie. It started great until Sister Orianne comes on with her new age meditation. Do not be fooled it is not imaginative prayer time. She asks you to go to a places and visualize things. She then ends the time with return to the space we are in. This is demonic and opens the doors to evil spirits to enter into you. The irony is the lesson about the lizard. It talks about a lizard who whispers sinister thoughts in a man’s ear, then she starts whispering the imaginative prayer. Whispering things in your ear while you are opening your mind and heart to what she is saying. This is not even a little biblical. I had to fast forward every lesson on imagination day. Also this costs way too much. The Bible should be free. I will not pay for an app that is supposed to be biblical but helps demons enter peoples lives through imaginative prayer. I do not want to be accountable for that.

Awesome prayerful app for moms!. I feel like I’m always moving and don’t have time to just sit and pray but I have moments of silence to focus on prayer. That’s what I love about this app. They’re always adding new features and content too! I love the prayer challenges they have. I finally have something that will help guide my thoughts and reflections and keep my focus on Christ in every moment. I tend to get distracted with thoughts and worries easily but when I listen to these prayers and meditations it keeps my focus on what really matters. I just want to say thank you so much to the creators of this app! And side note: any meditations or prayers narrated by Johnathan Roumie are the best! He has such a soothing, prayerful voice. 😉 and Anna is my favorite too!

The Best Catholic App, Bar None. We Catholics believe in the Word made flesh. We believe, that is, in the Word. This Word comes to us not only through written text, but through speech. Indeed, many of the Church’s sons and daughters through the ages could only experience the Word through speech, for many were illiterate. Speech comes before writing, not only in the development of language, but so too in the development of being and of the universe itself. Then, it only follows naturally that it is of great value to have an app which guides us through the Catholic prayer tradition through audio. Hallow has, through the Spirit, gifted us believers just that. The content is of high quality; it is produced well, with a sleek, calming aesthetic; and it is full of living faith. There are guided Rosaries, lectio divinas, daily Psalms, and all sorts of tools for prayer, including seasonal challenges, such as the ongoing Lenten challenge. In our days, when we are all obsessed with our smartphones, why not bring our faith into our obsession, so that our obsession with technology becomes our obsession with Christ? For anyone looking to deepen their faith and prayer life this Lent, this bad Catholic recommends this great app.

Do you want to get closer to Jesus?. I love this AP. I spend time daily with the prayers and information within it. I’m a cradle Catholic but Hallow helps me enjoy my faith. There are so many prayers to learn, songs to enjoy and things to learn! The rosary from bishop Barron is worth the 16cents a day I’ve invested in hallow! Fr Mike’s homily’s are tremendous, and you can read the Bible and or the catechism in a year! There are scripture scholars to help you understand every word!!!! During lent and advent there are extra rewards and you are never alone. When you sign up with hallow you’re a part of a community of fellow believers/students all working to get closer to Jesus! You’ll never regret the time you spend with the hallow AP!
