Mobile Order. First time using the app; the online site is not working properly. Ordering on the app was easy, but onion rings were still not available! When I arrived to pick up my order, I asked the associate if they still were out of onion rings. She said they did have them so I asked to change my order. Both associates were very accommodating and ordered the onion rings for me. It took just a few extra minutes. Next time I will remember to “customize” the burger (no lettuce, no grilled onions). All in all, a situation that went from not exactly a good experience to a pleasant, satisfying one. The food is consistently good!

Great food, poor adherence to the ordered specifics. I love The Habit when I go in personally, every time. No problems. Great food, great service, relaxed dine in. However, it seems either through door dash OR this app—and idk if it’s just this particular location—but I’ve ordered four times and three out of the four times thus far, I haven’t received the side ranches and ketchups for my order. And this last order of $70+ I didn’t receive my drink nor the extra fry with the side meal. And to boot, not even any ranch for the salad dressing for my variety meal salad… I’m getting pretty disappointed and even if the food is great, I’ll probably end up not ordering from here through any apps anymore. It’ll be a once in a blue moon kind of meal when I’m conveniently by it. Update: Ordering on this app is not worth it simply because you can’t get your money back UNLESS through the doordash app for items never put into the order. The company will just send you coupons for a few bucks in replacement of two orders of fries, two orders of onion rings, a tempura green beans, and a garden salad all without any ranch to speak of. I wish I could post a picture of the one bag I got with the sandwiches and nothing else in my $45 dollar order. Lesson of the month: order through DoorDash, they have proper compensation for missing items when not delivered… I really just wanted my food as I ordered it man.

Unusable app :(. This app does not work. I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled several times. Just states the app encountered a problem. It tells you to select “retry” and if problem persists then restart the app. I don’t know what’s wrong with this app. It’s been happening for almost 6 months. Food at my local habit burger is on point. They never disappoint. Burger, fries, shakes. It’s all good. The Santa Barbara burger is my favorite. Very tasty and the avocado and sour dough bread sets it apart from the other burgers. Mocha shake is very good. Fries and onion are delicious. Plus the ranch or boom sauce is awesome. Try the food it’s very good and at a reasonable price. The app, if it’s working on your favorite then congratulations but it does not work on my phone (Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max 1TB on Verizon

Fantastic non meat food and app is MUCH better!!. In addition to offering a fantastic veggie burger instead of the (awful)impossible burger it is now easy to get rid of the (also awful)whole wheat bun that is standard with almost all non meat options in order to get the yummy grilled sourdough option instead!! Thank you, thank you, thank you for recognizing that many people who don’t eat meat don’t necessarily miss eating meat(and so prefer that their food does not taste like meat) also care about what their food tastes like, too.

Loved by picky kid and husband!. My son and husband love the Habit! They always get the burger toppings right! That’s always the problem everywhere else I go! These two are PICKY!!! And want all these special items… it’s ridiculous! Cooking for them is annoying so when I find a restaurant that they both love, I’m all over it! This location is great too. Right next to the highway entrance, it’s a busy area as it is a shopping plaza, but it’s well kept, clean and safe. As for flavor, I’ve always liked The Habit for years, we ate it back in Cali in 2013 and liked it there too. I’m trying the green beans today, hoping I like!

Surprisingly Impressed. Through the years of using almost all of the available fast food ordering apps, I found The Habit's to be pretty up there. Possibly the best, with Starbs in second. The options and detail within the user-interface, as well as many useful features gives this review 5 stars. They actually listened & delivered what the (hungry) people want! :) I wanna see that location on a map, I wanna see edit options for orders, favorites, and a clock counting down. We approve, just ordered ;)

Edge case for redeeming rewards needs to be fixed. // edit: Habit burger followed up with me, and hopefully they will fix the issue. If you have any problems, don’t hesitate to contact them! If you redeem an award and your payment somehow fails to go through, the reward will be redeemed and you will have to pay the full cost of the items that the reward was meant for. In particular, I used the reward for the free birthday char burger. I tried to pay, it failed for no reason(I know I entered my saved card’s pin correctly), I tried to pay again, the app told me I redeemed already and I had to wait, I waited 1 minute, and pressed pay once more, only to realize I paid for the full price without the free burger. Yes maybe I should’ve realized that the award was already redeemed on a failed order, but I wasn’t used to this erroneous behavior. I love the app but this ticked me off.

I love this app but…. I’ve been using this app for months now and it always worked perfectly with a few exceptions being sometimes when I order, my card will get charged but the order won’t go through to the store but the support refunded me my money very easily. Another thing is recently the app will not load at all without using wifi. My cellular data will not work with this app and it will not load anything unless I’m connected to a wifi box. Please fix if you can! Otherwise amazing app and awesome food!

Convenient!. This is a great app but I couldn’t give it a full five because I cannot seem to add raw onions when I used to be able to in-store. Also there’s no way to ask for “light butter” on their butter for their sandwiches like we always could in-store. No way to ask for jalapenos which we can do ourselves in-store. Basically all the things we could customize in-store is not available on the app. Since we only use this app for emergencies anyway, when we all need to grab a quick bite, I guess it doesn’t really matter. Plus most people probably don’t care for the customizations I mentioned but I do know that the folks in my circle would all use this app even more if all these features were available though, since we all share the same style of customizations. :) This app is still appreciated!

Love Habit But They Need Gluten Free Buns. It’s amazing that they are one of the last burger places of its kind to not offer a gluten-free bun for their customers claiming problems with cross contamination when all they need to do is ask and take the route other places like burger lounge & shake shack has done. This is caused us to not order there near as much as we’d like to. It’s lazy and thoughtless to long time customers. Otherwise, it would be near perfect except for they have to stop drenching their chicken sandwiches in teriyaki sauce as when you’re ordering it easy to miss having it removed. They really need a better sauce option by now. It’s overall decent fast food in a pinch but not the healthiest which it’s not really meant to be. Their lemon slices notoriously taste like onions because they use the same knife and cutting board. Their employees are always very nice which is a big plus. This place just needs a little updating menu wise. It’s been too long. OK

Mixed Feelings. Ordering through the app was wonderful. I was able to customize order and have it ready when I arrived from getting my son at school. Now for receiving my order. I didn’t get my main course the chicken club sandwich. When I asked where my sandwich was the worker asked me if I was sure and told me it was in the bag but the bag was extremely small (fries/onion ring only size). I said no and was asked if I was sure I showed the receipt on bag. Employee came out a few minutes later and apologized. I then told him that I didn’t receive the extra ranch I paid and ordered. He apologized again and said he would be back. I was starving at this point so I started to eat the onion rings and was almost done when the ranch was provided 😣. The ranch is my favorite so I guess I’ll use it for something else.

First Habit Online Order. Happy to see the opened a new outlet close to my home in Millbrae CA.. The in-store pick up was right on time. The food was very good, I like the diversity of the menu. The onion rings and the tempura green beans were especially good. I think the burger is considerably beefier than most other places It’s a little pricer than the nearby In & Out but I’m happy to pay a bit more for the better quality. I was very impressed with my first visit and I will be looking forward to coming back frequently.

Great food and service surprisingly. Hey this place was the dumps for me prior to 2019. I hated this place because they would over cook the burger meat, over cook the fries and over cook the onion rings. Terrible place back then, but now I’ve had their food more than two times without any complaints. Burgers are cooked ideally for enjoyment when consumed. The furies and onion rings taste crunchy and delicious as expected. They even offered fried string beans which we never had before, tastes fantastic. Whatever they done to make a change seems to be positive in my eyes. Good job.

App most frequently has weird error and cannot checkout. I use the app to place curbside pickup orders. But the app most often has an error when you fill in all the details including payment and car info, says pickup time is needed while it already has ASAP selected. Even when I try selecting again, it just shows empty options. Even if you have all the fancy menu options and good food, there is no use for the app if you cannot do the basic checkout. I find it difficult to drive 20 mins to the place and have to wait another 20 mins to get the order prepared while I could have done it through app saving time, only if the app would work! Worst customer experience ever. I actually stopped going to this place bcos of this

Not the best customer service. I love the habit and I think that their food is great. But the last couple times that I’ve ordered over the app I’ve added avocado and bacon to my orders. When I receive my orders they didn’t have the bacon or avocado but I was charged for it anyway. I didn’t realize this until I got home since my order was to go. I contacted the store by phone but unfortunately they couldn’t give me a refund because I made the purchase over the app so they told me I needed to contact the habit through the website. I did but never received a response back. It’s been two months and this happened to me twice. I don’t like adding extras through the app anymore and I’ve given up on reaching out any further. It’s kinda annoying.

Horrible customer service. I downloaded the app because of the free burger if I purchase a drink. I have never tried the habit grill before and want to try new restaurant. I went into the store and no customer services even acknowledged me and my friend coming in. I have to fricking say “excuse me” multiple times to get her attention. I showed the app with the free burger but The customer service lady doesn’t even know how to process it, but then someone able to help me get the free burger. The customer service lady told me to wait outside so I did. I waited like 10 mins outside not complaining but once I go inside to get the burger the customer service lady didn’t even give me a straw or ketchup. I have to ask for them each time for it. Her attitude doesn’t even seem like she want to work there. :/ the burger is great first time there but poor customer service. I properly not gonna go there again.

Friendly staff. I am mostly happy with my experience. The staff is ALWAYS friendly, and if mistakes happen they are fixed right away. I witnessed one assistant manager get a total jerk who was yelling and using cuss words keep his cool and handle the problem quickly, not reacting to the customer's vitriol and I appreciated how he handled the jerk. The food is always good. My rating is because at a fast food place I don't want to be asked at the register if I want to tip. It makes me uncomfortable and I choose no, because it's not a sit down restaurant where a server checks in repeatedly. It's fast food that's slower than most. That slowness o don't mind but the tip question irritates me. I should not be required to tap "NO TIP" with the cashier standing there awkwardly waiting before I can simply pay.

Habit App. The only thing that I think needs to be improved on the app is at the end when about to order. It was a little confusing. I thought I had placed an order and it was asking for my vehicle color and model. I decided to wait til I got to the store to submit that. Only when I pulled up in a parking spot for curbside pickup did I realize that you had yo put your car info in BEFORE placing your order. Oops. So my order wasn’t placed until I was in parking lot. I would recommend making a note to customers that says something like, “You’re almost ready to place your order! We just need your pickup information.” Or something like that so it’s less confusing. Other than that, we love the food and won't make this mistake next time.

Dangerous health conditions on mobile ordering. The app apparently requires you to choose between indoor pickup (you go inside) or curbside pickup (an employee brings to you). For health reasons (I don’t want to catch coronavirus) I prefer curbside pickup. If you make a mistake like I did recently, there is no way to contact the restaurant and ask an employee to bring the food. The restaurant chain uses a centralized ordering system. At present that # directs you back to the app. Due to my mistake, which the app does not allow you to correct, I had to go into the restaurant to get my food. While the employees had masks, the guests did not. I felt like habit’s poorly designed app, ordering system, phone system and customer service system put me into a potentially unhealthy situation. I will not be using the app or ordering from Habit again.

First Quarantine order. I ordered for a few people in my office (about 5 orders). I requested to pickup up ASAP and they had everything in my order correct, food-wise. They corrected a wrong cup size for one of the drinks immediately, but I am seriously impressed with how our order was already waiting for us on a tray and how all the customizations were correct (there was food allergy in my order!). One of the guys hasn’t had anything from the Habit for over a couple of years and exclaimed that this was delicious and we need to order from you guys soon!!

Last time???. This will be the last time we order from here ever again if my order comes out as bad as it did the last two times. I always order two of the family meals because there’s eight in the house half the time I don’t get most of my order and when I come back they try to give me my cold order that’s been sitting there. One time the app messed up and charged me three times and they would only credit me back one which never did come back on my card. I hope it works out this time because the first few months they were open they were awesome. They definitely don’t have the same staff anymore sad.

Great food, ok app. I just wanted to put a comment in regarding the app itself. I actually signed up for the ops thinking that it was going to give a free item because the ad said it would, but there is no free item in the offers anywhere. The other reason I was wanting to comment on the app is when you’re looking through the menu to decide what to order the price and wording comes up right over the picture of the sandwich in question so you can’t see what it really looks like or what’s on it. Part of ordering is the visual you get when you’re looking at the item and how great it looks that helps you decide what you want. But I couldn’t see any of that just the very edge of the sandwich because all of the pop up pricing was right on top of it. So therefore, I did not order on the app it was annoying. Anyway, the food there is usually really good but I wanted to try something new I just wanted to see what it looks like, but that didn’t happen.

2021 deserves better. You clearly dont care about your customers because we have asked for years now for you to update the app to allow bread customizations for the different burgers yet you updated the app without this feature additionally there is no place to request special instructions and therefore when I arrive at curbside I have to walk in anyways because your employee apparently doesnt think its her job to bring me ranch after i ask for it. So yeah step it up if you expect customers to pay 8$ for 1 burger and 1 more thing, you need to disable the automatic notification that my meal is ready when I know for certain its not because we arrive to the restaurant thinking its actually ready and leave our car running because thats what you told us

Flame broiled ! Yum!. Great burger. I appreciate the ability to customize my order. I was glad to discover I didn’t have to have the spicy seasoning. I especially appreciate curbside pick up. I wish the App was more automatic. I like Starbucks because it remembers my favorite store and my last order making reorders super easy. Too often I changed my mind about ordering from Habit because I didn’t want to go through the slow mobile app. And I sure didn’t want to idle in a long line! Today I had time and was really hungry for my Habit burger!

Sooo, I’m having issues…. So the app itself is great with giving great offers on various items on the menu, but fell short when it came to redeeming them. I went to redeem an offer of free garlic fries at no cost and it would not let me redeem the offer. It said that the offer had already been redeemed, even though I hadn’t redeemed it yet. On top of that, no matter how hard I try, I cannot order on the app. It only lets me put a gift card in, but when I choose the credit card option, there was no spot available for me to put it in. I would recommend having someone go through the app to fix these little things so that it can work at 100%. And if someone could please contact me about how I can still get the free fries, that would be great. Thank you.

Double Char makes a Big Mac small!. As a recent discoverer of the joys of Habit Burger, I have enjoyed many a Santa Barbara Char and Impossible Burgers. The app also provides easy ordering and one of my favorite things: discounts! So when a 20% discount offer on the Double Char offer arrived I changed up my Habit habit and gave it a try…wow…2 all beef patties, sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a bun. Sound familiar? This double burger is vastly superior to that other burger in terms of freshness, ingredients, portion size and of course the preparation. Well, let’s just say, a comparison to McD’s BigMac introduces confusion regarding its’ initials BM.

The Ap is confusing.. Today we had an order for our family of 8. I had to use not only my husband’s log in but mine too making it 2 different orders. We also chose a location that had curbside pickup which is different from our home store that doesn’t offer curbside. But one of the orders I accidentally ordered the home location which was very difficult for us to get to. I tried to Chang/cancel since the order was scheduled 2 hours in advance but there was no way to change it. It would be nice to have that option.

Great Staff at Encino location. Everyone is awesome at this location in Encino. From the cooks to the customer service personnel, everyone takes pride in their work and makes sure that the entire customer experience from cleanliness, order taking, and cooking quality food consistently is number one priority. During the pandemic, I really saw this team kick it into high gear because they knew they were nourishing people and keeping them alive while I knew they were risking their own health by possibly catching the coronavirus. After the pandemic, food service hospitality and quality assurance continues to be five stars. The owners should be very proud of this group of people. -Catherine of Encino

Huge Step Back in Functionality. Not sure when the change was made but older versions of the app had much greater control of how you wanted your food prepared. Now your options are merely a yes/no option. No more ‘easy mayo’ or ‘extra lettuce.’ I understand that ingredients cost money and nobody is expecting an extra patty for free, but plenty of other restaurants’ apps allow you substitutions (some triggering a small up-charge). Because of this inability to change the bread type out family went to a competitor because they offered what we wanted and Habit could not or wouldn’t make our burgers the way we prefer them, which is a pity as they generally have very good food at fair prices.

Complaint about the Santamaria CHARburger. Santamaria CHARburger doesn’t have a drive-through. I am disabled and find it hard to get in and out of the store. Many times they have refused when I place an order online they no one will bring it out to me to my car. I can park directly in front of the store, can somebody help me with this? I love your hamburgers but I hate your ordering. I don’t know what to do with an app it’s difficult to order you can’t talk to anybody, so my order has been wrong a couple of times but you can’t convey that to anybody. I think you’re doing this all wrong.

Wrapping of sandwiches and fry packaging. When wrapping a sandwich it should be neat and orderly as to present it so it doesn’t fall out of its wrapper when taking out of the bag. Perhaps adding a sticker to it to hold the wrapper closed. Many times I have received my sandwich rolled up in the wrapper instead of neatly packaged. Also the types should come in different packaging when putting into a bag. French fries like to jump out of the tray it comes in when it is in a to go bag and we have all experienced that fries are at the bottom of the bag and all over the other food when we open the bag. Please consider this review when packaging food to go in a bag.

Awful experience. Will not use again.. We decided to use the app for curbside pick up. Once our order was submitted, we were told 35 minutes. That seemed longer for the ASAP option, but it was fine. Upon arriving at the 1:15PM time, we clicked in here and waited. Then, we waited. We waited more. Then, we waited more. I had to call 3 times before I could actually speak to a human at a call center (not at the location we dialed). He then put me on hold, spoke to the manager, and then came back to tell me they were short staffed and running behind. Mind you, this is now 30 minutes after we were told to arrive. I asked for a refund and the call center agent said he was not allowed to process refunds. 5 minutes later, a Habit employee brought out another order to a woman who said she had waited over an hour! We asked her when ours would be ready, only to be told they were backed up. 12 minutes later our food came out. This was 48 minutes after the time we were told. Needless to say, our order was incorrect. The burgers were dry and over cooked. None of the sauces we ordered came in the bag. A completely awful experience and the app is not intuitive, nor does it allow you to contact the store, nor does it keep you updated on the status of your order. We’ve reached out to their support team with no response. It’s safe to say, I will never have the Habit Burger again. Best of luck to anyone who tries the app or curbside pickup. Hopefully you have a better experience than us.

App doesn’t work. Tried to use the app for convenience to order ahead and pickup for lunch to save time. Had to update my card, input and saved it and the card disappeared from the app. Tried to add it a second time and the app just said error. It’s my Wells Fargo card and I use it with other apps so I know it’s not the card. Then I try and force close the app and reopen it and now the app is saying that every single Habit location is “currently not taking any online orders” which seems like it’s glitching. So the app that I downloaded for convenience and to save time is now inconvenient and taking up even more time so I’m going somewhere else for lunch and I probably won’t use the app again. Lost about 10-15 minutes of my lunch trying to save time with the app so the joke’s on me I guess.

Grownup Meal Issue. I just enjoyed a $6.00 “Grownup Meal” for lunch at the Habit on Monterey Road in San Jose. Everything was delicious, satisfying and an exceptional value. However, I noticed something unexpected about the Charburger. The bun and toppings were normal, but the burger patty seemed thinner and possibly smaller than I have come to expect. I had a Charburger for lunch earlier this week and, in comparison, it seemed to have a more generous meat patty than the one I had for lunch today. I could be entirely wrong but I can’t help but think that the cook accidentally made my Charburger today with a meat patty for a kid-size Charburger. I have never seen a kid-size burger, so I must admit that I could be imagining things. Anyway, the meal was delicious. I asked for some blue cheese dressing to dip my fries which made them even more delectable.

Depends on the day I guess!. Today I am trying again. Last time I ordered it was messed up and late. I ordered for a noon pickup. I arrived at 1152, checked in and waited, no problem. At 1211 I finally went inside and my order was sitting on the counter. Only two other patrons, so not busy. The person that gave me my food was just very nonchalant about the fact that it was not delivered to my vehicle and that it was over ten minutes late. By the time I returned to work the fries were ice cold and the burger was soggy and cold. I gave five stars because each time prior everything was good but I never wrote a review.

Great food, great service!. With the coronavirus impacting all our lives, all places are doing takeout only. I used the Habit app to order ahead and pick up inside. The app was a cinch to use, I paid ahead and my food was waiting for me when I got there. Not to say it was waiting and cold. It wasn’t. The app counted down the minutes until it was ready ( 7 min) and I just walked in and got it. It was still hot. After the world has gotten back to normal, I will continue to use this app and go to this location. BTW, the people who work there are very nice, and they’ve never messed up our order. A big plus!

Beware of the Habit App!. You have better protection from the Habit's poor customer service using a 3rd Party application like Grub Hub. The Habit will accept your orders and charge your credit card even when they are closed. When you try to reach them to report that there was a problem with the order, there is no way to contact them directly. They will only accept complaints through an internet form. When you finally get someone to contact you, you will need to wait 5-7 days for a refund. Other apps like Grub Hub or Door Dash provide immediate customer service if there is a problem. I will be off-loading the Habit's app from my device and I won't be patronizing them again.

Great food, great app. Great food! Love the ease of ordering thru my phone to order The Habit but there are a few things that could be improved on when ordering thru the app. For example, they do not have an Apple Pay option which I would assume most restaurants have access too. Adding the credit info every time makes it harder to finish the order. Also if there were options to add coupons or discounts at the final step of checkout, that would be appreciated. There were a few times I missed out of free items or products because I forgot to add the coupon or there was no prompt to add a coupon. Other than that, I am satisfied with this app and service. Thank you

Great food and easy to order takeout. I’ve always considered Habit burgers hold their own against any other popular burger places. However, Habit sides blow everyone else out of the water. To make everything even better, ordering on the Habit app makes getting takeout even better. I can place order from home, via the app, and walk straight into restaurant grab my order and head home or wherever we’re eating. Everything works really well, tastes really good, and makes me come back for more.

Needs work!. This is the most ridiculous way to do curbside, the app counts down and asks you what car your in, you think they're gonna bring it out but you have to confirm through a text. I waited almost 20 minutes and got cold food after I had to go in myself. I would've gone in after 10 minutes but one of the workers had come out and asked me my name so I assumed he was going to bring it, but he was simply looking for the person who's bag he was holding. Never bothered to go inside and ask about my food, that was sitting there getting colder by the minute. The arrival confirmation should be in the app. The app makes it seem as if there are no further steps. The workers don't make any effort to find out why you're still parked at curbside 20 minutes later. Why did I even put my car model in the app and give the worker my name?

Payment Verification Issue. I love the Habit but the app itself I find very frustrating. To make this quick I find two issues that make this unusable for me. First, I’ve attempted to use a card for payment and it does not matter if I add it during the order or add it on to my wallet, the app is unable to verify payment and tells me to double check the card info. I’ve checked several times and it’s the right number and info, spaces accounted for, still unable to make a payment. Is it certain banks? Tokens? What is it? The other is for curbside pickup, if you want the app to automatically check you in once you arrive, yes you have to enable always to location services which I get, but it won’t let you move forward unless you also all enable notifications?? Come on. I don’t want to be spammed with notifications outside of ordering. They say you attract more flies with honey than vinegar you know. Changing the location services settings back and I’d be glad to update my review as well once changes have been made. Great UI though!

App bugs. Have a hard time getting the option to add a form of payment, and I notice the app doesn’t have all available medication choices to burgers. For example the new French dip char that is available, you don’t have the option to sub the patty for an impossible or veggie. My house enjoys habit, but the app doesn’t provide that additional feature for modifications. Better off just going to the store directly, but that doesn’t allow us to save time when coming home commuting for work then having to stay in drive through for 15-20 mins. Hope this helpful still love the Habit.

Happy Camper!. I had the pleasure of coming into The Habit on Val Vista today and after placing my order on the app was told they could not accommodate the shake I ordered because their machine was down. Dalton came in and saved the day, I requested 2 items to make up for the one I had ordered(to avoid the refund process he made it happen without any hesitation and with a huge smile on his face! A huge thank you to Dalton for turning my experience back into a great one, your customer service is awesome!! Another huge Thank you to Andrew for letting us know the machine was down and offering us alternatives, you are the epitome of excellent customer service!!! I will definitely be back.

App Doesn’t Match with Store’s Offerings. The app says a lot of what is on the menu is unavailable. We were so surprised by how much was unavailable we drove our local Habit Burger to discover nothing was unavailable and intact everything was fully stocked. They people working told us they don’t have control over the app… so who does? And how would the information be corrected? No one there seemed to know. Additionally every time we order delivery from the app at least one item (it’s really an entire meal) is missing. The store says it’s not their responsibility and there’s no real phone number to speak to someone there and the app makes you file a complaint electronically… we go round and round with no real answer and no refund from anyone. Needless to say ordering for delivery from the Woodland location is highly not recommended!

Great food but. I love eating here almost every other day and my girlfriend and I love their ranch and use about at least 2 cups for the nuggets and 1 for the fries but they’re always so cautious about giving us extra. Why is that? We enjoy our food with this condiment and every time they jip us out of 1-2 it makes part of our meal un enjoyable. Instead of saying a lot of ranch I give a number and there was one time the lady gave me the wrong number of them and walked away very rudely. Just give us what we need. Or if you’re gonna be so greedy with it charge 50 cents cause I don’t care I just want my ranch!!!

Ease of use. Kudos to the app development, the folks @ the Habit Burger Grill did a great job! This app is easy to use & makes the experience of picking up your order seamless & efficient. Special order? No problem, the folks @ the Habit got you covered with fully customizable options for each menu item. Integrated with your location, it makes finding your local habit a breeze! Payment options are quick & secure. Everything I could hope for in a mobile app, & everything I expect from the Habit Burger Grill, perfection! Now you have even less excuses to make it a Habit 🙂

Best online ordering website ever!. This was the absolute easiest online ordering experience I’ve had in over a year since I’ve started ordering food online. I love the family bundles and the way the site is organized to ask how to modify each burger! Easy drop down menus with all available options worked nicely! I don’t eat at Habit often, and I had zero question about what comes on a burger, or how to delete or add condiments and toppings! We will definitely be using this service again! Side note: I NEVER leave reviews and I’m not easily impressed, so this review is really saying something! Hopefully the food will measure up! :-)

Poor curbside service. This is my second time doing curbside service at this particular habit, the first time was flawless, placed my order online and just waited 5 minutes at the most. This time I downloaded the app, placed my order and in prob 5 minutes I got a text saying my order was ready. I went to the curbside parking spots (2) but the other customer decided to take both of them. I parked 2 spaces away and clicked the link to say I was there for pickup. Five minutes pass, I hit the retry button, Nada, another 5 minutes pass, hit the retry button, double nada, waited another 5 minutes, put my mask on went in talked to the woman at the counter and tried to explain to her what was happening, she asked my name and there sat on the counter, my order. A cold burger, cold sweet potato fries, cold green beans, oh because they had been sitting there for at least 15 minutes. Now the grand scheme of things this isn’t a big deal - you just need to know that even when an order is sitting ON THE COUNTER with a tag that says CURBSIDE it means NOTHING. There were 2 other people inside and a steady stream of drive-thru customers and no other curbside pickups while I was there. I agree with another reviewer - the drive thru line is abysmal too. That’s all folks. It’s a good thing I didn’t have ice cream and iced coffee drinks in my car from the nearby Target, oh wait, I did. Get it together guys!!

App is great until the store runs out of ingredients. Three times now I have placed orders for food that the store doesn’t have (it’s always a milkshake). When I arrive at the store, I am never notified that my order is missing an item but instead it is always me who notices and has to come back and ask for my milkshake. The reason for the missing milkshake is always the same: they are out of the ingredients. Usually an employee gives me a coupon to fix the issue. But the last time I went, they didn’t have coupons. I waited 20 minutes in the store while a manager struggled to give me a refund. Since my order was for take out to bring to my family for dinner, the food was cold and soggy once I got home. Here I am a month later and the refund promised by the manager never went through. I have submitted two requests for refunds (the first was over a month ago) through the contact support form and have heard nothing. I would call them but can’t find a corporate number and I don’t have any faith that the manager of the store I went to could do any better than her first failed attempt. So beware ordering online. You may never your full order, and there is no follow up or customer support if you have a problem.

Easiest online ordering application. If only EVERY restaurant used the same user friendly ordering application that the Habit does. They’ve got this figured out and someone hasn’t been asleep at the wheel! Good job to those who thought about ease, efficiency and a user friendly app for customers to order their food. We aren’t sick of the food yet, but I’ll tell you we’ve ordered more here than anywhere in our town simply because of the ease and quick service we get. Can’t go wrong and the food is pretty darned food. Especially their Southwest chicken salad!

Morbid curiosity. Has this app ever worked? I keep it in hopes that one day, I’ll tap on it and it’ll open. I’m not even close to Las Vegas.

Great experience overall. The ordering process was simple and my order was complete quickly. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly. I did order 3 sides of ranch that were missing from the order, however, I didn’t check the bag till I got home so that could’ve been easily remedied. There is not a lot of parking available due to the location but overall I had a great experience and will be returning!

Habit is fabulous,. Only disappointed one time, last Saturday at the Sand City location, our salads came in styrofoam and were half the usual size of salads in the habit containers, very upset as my wife and I order these at least two to three times a week. Also my free char burger for adding the app was not free, they charged me regular price. Did not notice any of this till we got home. Thanks for being great most of the time. Stephen Biesinger

You’ll Be Seeing Me Often…. I’m a long time Habit customer and I am so glad there’s one nearby now. My family & I have eaten at several other locations throughout SoCal and overall the quality, taste, & service at this new location is on par with others we’ve eaten at & ordered from. Only thing that stopped me from leaving a 5 star review was that our tempura green beans were a bit undercooked & over salted, but everything else was great & left me looking forward to my next visit. Awesome Job!

Doesn’t work. Everything about the app was great until I tried submitting my order. It told me to pick a pickup time, but when I tried to do it, it gave me no option or method to actually insert a pickup time. And since it would not let me submit an order without a pickup time, I could not submit my order at all. This wouldn’t be as bad if their website also didn’t work when I tried to order last week. I tried ordering over the phone but I was hold for at least 3 minutes so I hung up. (Ya I know, I could easily wait a little longer, but I did not want to!) Habit has great food though , I love eating there in person. Their fries are amazing. Burgers great too.

So convenient and reliable. When we need a go to meal that is quick, tasty, and consistent, we order the Habit! I feel like it is a great deal, and the food is always great. There is a lot of variety (which I enjoy), and my husband gets the same thing every time (which makes him happy). A great go to takeout order for anyone who needs a delicious and reliable meal.

Great burgers - a few improvements. The burgers are absolutely delicious. But take note if you want credit for your visit, the loyalty points only accrue if you order from the app. If you walk into the store and order there, you will not get credit. The combo onion ring french fry offering is a great idea. But a better offering would be the combo onion ring and sweet potato fry offering. Also when you add bacon it’s nice to specify extra crispy. But the website does not give you that option.

Too many questions on the app. It would be nice if the software could allow you to just check everything you wanted and then the next page would be right to check out versus are you sure? you want this? do you want this other item? did you forget about that? Too many questions!! those are annoying and especially at lunchtime I just wanna order it and go

Always a pleasure. It is always a pleasure to come to this location. I’ve become somewhat of a staple here to the point that all the staff knows my name. The food is always fresh, the staff are friendly & the order is always hot and correct! I would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a great place to have a burger & fries and not have sub par quality from McDonalds or Burger King. Stop by, you won’t be disappointed.

No Apple Pay. It’s funny how people bump up an App Store review based on the … food. Requiring customers to input credit card numbers and have it saved on yet another server waiting to be hacked or breached is neither convenient nor a good customer service experience. This is not contactless friendly because I’m forced to go into the store and play the “sanitary theater” – and that’s what it is because y’all don’t change our gloves after each customer: if the intention is to actually make a difference, then your team members should change gloves every time they interact with a different customer – so that I can use Apple Pay.

Good food but app requires account just to browse. I’ve enjoyed Habit restaurants for a decade, so I was pleased when they opened in my town. I continue to enjoy their food. But I just downloaded the app and will delete it momentarily. Why? I can’t even look at the menu without creating an account. That’s a big NOPE! I realize you want us to place an order. A family member is driving there now to place the order. Just trust your customers to appreciate your food. Don’t start mining our data before you even let us see the menu.

Always delicious!. I love the habit, and more when I get to treat myself with it for lunch! But, I do suggest paying attention to order specifications when I order through the app. I customized my burger on the app, and asked for no pickles. I know that my order was received exactly how I sent it, because my receipt shows my order correctly. My burger had pickles. It’s a little disheartening to know that no matter what specifications I elect, they are ignored. ☹️

Amazing experience ordering on-line. I just downloaded the Habit App to place a rather large order to be ready when we arrive, and it was the most convenient and easiest app I have ever used. I was even able to change the bread, add extra mayonnaise, add onion and extra tomatoes. Now that is a sophisticated website! Not only does the Habit have delicious food, but its super convenient and easy to order

Friendly Staff/ Hit and miss on food. Ordered online. Food was not ready on time app said it would be. Milkshake was already on pick up cart when I arrived. Due to having to wait for food, milkshake was runny when I got home. Food order was ready approximately 10 minutes late. Staff was very friendly. Asked if I wanted ranch, ketchup, and put napkins in bag without being asked. Chicken sandwiches, char burger, sweet potato fries and fried green beans were all hot and tasty. Tried the new Cuban burger. Patty was dry and cold. Part of bun was very hard and not edible.

Don’t trust the ETA. Tonight we used the app to order a kids meal... 4 nuggets, fries and a drink. That’s it. After submitting the order the ETA for it to be ready was 10 minutes. We dashed up there to pick it up to be told it would be another 15-20 min. Finally, 43 min after submitting the order it was ready. We were told the app ALWAYS defaults to 10 minutes. We were also told that the app is thru a 3rd party and there’s no way to sinc it up to the actual time. If you really want to know when it’ll be ready, you’re going to have to call them. It might not be accurate but it’s going to be far more trustworthy than this app.

Habit Burger. This app is really good. Besides the little errors in customization (sometimes it says “no change” twice instead of “no change” and “no” or “none”; i do wish they would fix that tho) the app is wonderful. It tracks your location and gives an estimate to the second of when your food will be done. it’s just really handy compared to a lot of other apps. Plus, it doesn’t glitch so that’s nice.

No Apple Pay. Lovely app, but no Apple Pay? Good experience until the point of payment. Frustrating bumping into the one store/app that doesn’t take Apple Pay when everyone else accepts the payment method. The experience will be exponentially more seamless with Apple Pay. No one wants to input CC numbers, and I personally do not trust companies to safely keep those numbers if saved to a profile, considering cyberattacks, hacking, and personal data leaks from some of the largest and relied upon companies. Your food is great. Please add Apple Pay.

Great Burgers and price for the whole family!. This was our first visit in Burlington,NC. We did a curbside order. And very impressed with the service and getting our order correct. Employees were very nice and didn’t have us wait to long in the parking lot. We did a family pack with the 4 cheese burgers, fries and chicken pieces. Burgers were so good! Definitely give my thanks to the store for an awesome first time visit and yummy food!

I Feel Scammed. I feel scammed!! I signed up for the app for convenience and to get the free cheeseburger. However, calling in the order the representative told me that I cannot redeem my free cheeseburger through the app or through phone I had to go into the restaurant. After going into the restaurant they said I had to order everything on the app. I tried to order everything on the app and I was still unable to redeem my free cheeseburger. I do not know how to get my free cheeseburger and at this point I’ve downloaded the app paid for all of my food and I still did not get my free cheeseburger. Like I stated I feel scammed at this point. I would hope you can rectify this issue on your end.

Infuriatingly bad app experience. Planning an order for 10 people, had the app crash 3 times. Using two different phones. Frustrating that I couldn’t place an order over $75 (WHY??) so I had to break up my family’s order into two separate transactions. After 15 min, was finally able to place 1/2 of my family’s order, only to have the app crash again to the point where I couldn’t place the 2nd half of my family’s order, had to go into the location to order which defeats the entire convenience of ordering online. I build websites and apps for a living and this experience drove me insane.

Awesome!. I downloaded the app tonight and had my double cheeseburger within 10 minutes. Easy to use and super great team in the store tonight. It looks like the manager was very attentive to each order. I also noticed the cashier welcoming in each customer. They also had someone cleaning tables and tending to the soda machines. They made my fries crispy like I put on the app and the burger was delicious!

Overall pretty easy. Overall, very easy and convenient. The only thing I had a problem with was I accidentally clicked on "Add" for well done but it wouldn't offer the option to choose "not well done." I had to remove the item and start over. Plus, I think they should offer the onion rings as an option for the combos. It doesn't appear to let you switch them out.

Impossible Patty Options Limited. I couldn’t order what I wanted, since the impossible burger with cheese didn’t have a way to remove mayo (which I despise) and couldn’t add cheese to the impossible burger without cheese (which has an option to remove mayo). I ordered a burger with beef patty and subbed impossible patty and removed mayo. I just hope they give me the correct patty when it arrives or I’ll have to find something else to eat for dinner while everyone else enjoys their habit burgers.

Awful customer service. I arrived to pick up my food. Everyone ahead of me got there order. I walked closer. The employee Chris said hi. I said hi back. He asked super rudely if I placed my order inside or online. I said online. He then said in a very rude and aggressive tone “well I need your name then”. He never asked for my name. No idea why he was being so rude. I asked for the manager. He got Erika. He just rolled his eyes when I asked for a manage. Erika said she would handle it but I’m not confident. I came to pick up an online order. He just has to say “can I get your name please” there is NO reason to be unkind to I your customers. If this is how you treat customers, people will not return. Kindness goes a long way. Super disappointed.

On time!!! And Correct!!!. Ordered on app. Picked time for pickup. Super friendly girl greeted me, asked if I had placed an order already, she asked my name and checked the computer, she told me they were getting it ready. 1 minute later she was putting it in the bag. And it was done. She explained everything she put in the bag, asked if I needed any additional sauces. Handed me the order and said Enjoy my Food. Perfect. Couldn’t ask for more. Thank you guys

Offers don’t work. No rewards or loyalty program. Offers cannot be applied in cart even when the requirements have been met. Radio buttons during ordering for things like napkins and ketchup don’t work, adding ketchup and our order had ranch in it. I didn’t order ranch, I clicked the radio button for adding ketchup but apparently that doesn’t work. I’m waiting to hear back from Habit and will update my review when I get a response. I don’t think I’ll be using the app anymore, it’s pretty pointless when functionally it doesn't work, doesn’t save me time, and then the order is delivered missing condiments.

What’s with the $70 limit ordering to pick up?. We love the Habit! The only question we have is why they limit your pick up orders to $70 limit? It’s a bit frustrating to finish ordering online and then the app declines the order if it’s over $70 and you can’t do anything about it? Thankfully we live close enough to drive and order in person.

Payment not working. Everything on the app works fine except the most important part! When I go to check out, the “pay” button doesn’t work. The entire window that brings up your total and has the payment button at the bottom is completely broken except for the back button. I deleted and reinstalled the app with no change. It’s pretty annoying picking out a whole meal for 4 people and, after 20 minutes of getting what everyone wanted, having to start over and order from a different restaurant.

Beware of the Habit App!. You are offered better protection by using a 3rd App like Grub Hub. The Habit App will accept orders and charge your credit card, even if the store location is closed. When you try to report the problem, there is no way to contact them directly. They will only accept your feedback via a web form. When you finally get someone to contact you, you will need to wait 5-7 days for a refund. Other 3rd Apps, like Grub Hub or Door Dash give you immediate access to a customer service rep who will refund your money and will likely compensate you for your inconvenience. Save yourself a headache and choose one of them!

First time visiting Scottsdale location. The food was delicious. Burger was cooked to perfection. The veggies on the burger were fresh. The fries were piping hot and fresh! I gave 4 stars because when I first entered the establishment I was greeted with uncomfortable stares. And the person I made eye contact with did not bother to demonstrate good customer service. His colleagues however made up for that by giving me the good customer service that I was looking for. But had the initial person who saw me would have smiled and spoke then they would have earned 5 stars

Gift cards not supported!. The one issue with the Habit Burger app, and it is not a small insignificant issue, is the lack of support for Habit Burger gift cards. They don’t sell the gift cards on the app and they don’t allow you to pay for your order using a Habit Burger gift card. This makes no sense at all. Most restaurant apps are set up to both sell e-Gift Cards for use on the APP, as well as in the restaurants. I have been purchasing gift cards in the restaurant to give to relatives for several years. Now, they are not able to use their gift cards when they either call in an order or order online. They are 90 years old and love Habit Butger, but it’s not safe for them to be going in the restaurant, so they do curbside pick up. Every time, they have to use a credit card, because a Habit Burger gift card is not honored for phone orders, online orders, or app orders. Come on Habit Burger! Get it together and make this app the best app ever.

Good but not great - the App not the food of course!. As always, Habit is a favorite. Food is yummy and customer service is great. However trying to use the mobile app to order & it could use a little help. If you are fond of healthier substitutes like us, you won’t find it easy to navigate. Gave up on our wheat bun because it just isn’t an option on the app. Either have the option tab for the bun type or a field for notes so we can just put it there. Anyway, looking forward to the burger even if it’s on white bread...hope my stomach doesn’t revolt!

Fastest way to get lunch. I usually go out with co-workers for lunch once a week. We rely heavily on ordering ahead so we can enjoy our lunch and not have to rush. The only issue I have with the Habit app is the level of customization. While other apps, like Panera Bread and Blaze Pizza, you can customize your order down to which kind of sauce or meat you want. For example, if I go into a Habit location I usually order a Santa Barbara Char with garlic aioli instead of mayo. I can’t order that currently in the app.

It works, but room for improvement.. I’ll give the app 5 stars after 2 improvements are made: 1) Add an option to hold utensils and straws. I have silverware at home which is where I’m consuming the food. Let’s put in a little effort to reduce unnecessary plastic. 2) Make the app work with Apple Pay and the wallet app. For some reason I had to enter in my credit card manually to complete my order. And the only way to avoid this on future orders is to allow the app to save my credit card number (presumably on their server?).

Never disappoints. My husband and I live close. The Habit is one of our go to places. We’ve never had a bad experience coming here whether we order ahead or when we arrive. We usually do the order ahead and have someone bring it out to us. I especially love this since I’ve had a baby. It makes picking up food so much easier.

High Quality and Subtle Awesome Details. The developers of this app got so many details right. Exceptional work. Large scale things are there: intuitive registration, smooth animations in-app, and simple payment processing system. The small details are too many to mention: auto-capitalization, estimated driving distance on order confirmation, notifications are timely and geo-fenced. Thank you for not just making a “minimum viable product” and focusing on design. Well done team!

App security flaws. I love the restaurant, but the app is not secure! Someone hacked my account and used it to order food for himself. When I tried to secure my account by changing my password I discovered that there is no way to confirm the change via email or other secure way. And it didn’t automatically log my account out of all sessions. So even when I changed my password, the guy who hacked me, still had access. The only way I could make sure he didn’t order more was to delete my credit card from the app. Additionally there is no way to use a secure payment such as Paypal or Apple Pay. Please update these flaws Habit!

Excellent food - Terrible COVID-19 policies. Food prepared properly and reasonably timely. When I arrived to pick up my order, it was not ready even tho I received notice it was ready. While I’m waiting for my food, someone else came in to pick up an order. They were told it should be on the counter. That customer the had to handle each and every bag to attempt to find his order. The staff has gloves on and should have found the order. To have strangers handle the orders while looking for their order is just wrong.

App shows error message when trying to open.. App is latest version, there are 13 badges, but app shows “an unexpected error has occurred “. Tried quiting from background but still same error when it opens. It shows a retry button but pressing that makes no difference. Please fix. Update: After several attempts it loaded. I think as it was not crashing some background losing was happening but not a good UX.

They removed customization options. For years I happily used this app as Habit is one of my favorite restaurants. Suddenly they removed a ton of customization options like wheat bun for sandwiches (you can still do this in the store). Now I don’t want to use this app anymore and am reconsidering eating there at all. It’s like this company said “nah we’ve made enough money, we don’t need anymore” and then just kneecapped themselves with this app update. Why? Why remove customization options when obviously your customers gave you business based on them? There were weeks where I ordered 2-3 times from Habit. Not anymore!

Watsonville Habit. I have had ordered on line through Habit but I will let you know that some of the services at the restaurant are not that great at least since they opened up the store, we have been loyal customers but since my wife found something close to her food that was not great I will ask the manager to please check for any bugs in the premise

Amazing. The vibe of the young man who brought out my curbside order on May 29 at 839pm at the Jamacha location was super refreshing! His communication skills and overall attitude was positive and it was a pleasure talking to him and receiving my order from him. I didn’t catch his name but hopefully you can match him with the date and time I mentioned. But yeah, he was so great and his vibe definitely makes me want to come back to this specific location!

Amex/Payment Issues. I wasn’t able to add my Amex as a payment method, the app says “card data is not valid or card was declined, try again.” Data was definitely entered correctly and have no balance on the card so it’s not that. Unfortunately I already deleted the existing card and couldn’t even add it back, same error. I couldn’t add ANY card as payment so couldn’t order. Several days later I was able to add back the previous card but still not the Amex. Noticed the field is formatted for a 16 digit # in a 4-4-4-4 format but Amex is a 15 digit card # in 4-6-5 format.

Thoughtfully made!. I customized my order every time. This app is more advanced than Postmates or DoorDash... except you have to pick it up. I can change the bun to whole wheat i can order half fries half onion rings. It the best. Every time i go pick up my order i never have to wait i skip the line and pick it up. I just have to remember to arrive on time because they serve it fresh at the time you set it to.

Great Food, Service Needs Improvement. We love the food at Habit! The staff is friendly. The thing I don’t love is their curbside process. If I order via the app, which is contactless, I have to walk up to the building to get my order and any sauces I want. If I pull up to order, I have to talk to someone, order, then they bring my food to me. Contact two times or more! Please improve your ordering and simplify the app route. Let me pull up and bring my order to me in a designated spot. Easy!

Impressed. Uses a ton of mobile apps to order from restaurants. This is the first app that not only had a very friendly UI/UX but I was impressed with the app's order countdown timer, the map automatically showing me the route upon order submission (also telling me how long it'll take me to get there based on my location), and how you can not only custom-name individual favorite items, but also custom-name your entire order for future use. As someone in the tech industry: clap, clap.

One of the worst apps I’ve ever used. The Habit’s app is horrible. First of all it’s clunky to use. Second, it fails to load properly many if not most of the times I attempt to use it. Third, (and this is pathetic for any similar type restaurant these days) is that there’s no way to scan at the register or to add receipts after the fact. IF you can get the app to work, the only way to acquire points is to order ahead. So we’ve gone dozens of times over the past year, but show like two orders. It literally makes us visit WAY less often than we would, otherwise.

Consultant quality. I’ve lived on the West Coast and been to a number of Habiit growing up. I also tried other Habit in New Jersey. This franchise owner, his general manager is on point with everything he does in fact, when he’s not working, I always notice a difference in the little things. How long the meat is cooked how long the toppings are on the bread before add. You name it he has got it down to a science to the habit and Parsippany over and over again. Thank you.

Finally App!. About time they come out with App make it much much easier for deaf person like me that way doesn’t have to deal with driving through and guarantee to make other customers angry as well. It’s nice that can customize the order to the way that you want. However be warned the font and text is super large and I suspect that app will need to be update to accommodate the sizing of the screen. Overall am super happy that have app to make it deaf-friendly when it comes to order food.

Easy to Use But Accepting Coupons Would Be Nice. My child received a coupon for a free kids meal but since I’m by myself with the kids, I’m using curbside pickup (curbside is very convenient when having three kids under the age of 5 during a pandemic). The coupon says it has to be an in-store order, therefore, I was unable to use my coupon at this time, which is a real bummer. It would be nice to have a place to input my coupon on the app.

Fabulous service. Placed an order through the app everything went exactly as it should be a while waiting I decided to come in and place an order for just a salad as I was starving. I left the lady at the counter know that I was waiting for an order from an online purchase what my name is and where I was seated when it was ready she brought it to me with a great big smile! Thanks!! This place is so much friendlier then Turlock!!
