Shepard Fairey AR - Damaged App Description & Overview

What is shepard fairey ar - damaged app? It’s been nearly 10 years since Shepard Fairey’s last solo exhibition in his hometown of Los Angeles and the iconic HOPE imagery he created for then Presidential candidate Barack Obama. Now for the very first time Shepard Fairey's work has been transformed into a Augmented Reality experience. Experience his most ambitious show to date, aptly titled DAMAGED.

In this unprecedented political climate, Fairey’s message has changed from hope to purpose: “DAMAGED is an honest diagnosis, but diagnosis is the first step to recognising and solving problems. I definitely think that art can be part of the solution because it can inspire people to look at an issue they might otherwise ignore or reject.”

DAMAGED also takes aim at another hindrance to reformative communication: social media. For what should be the most meaningful platform for important discussion ever created, discourse has fallen secondary to self-indulgence and celebrity: “Even prior to the election, I’ve been troubled by the social media mentality of ‘construct your own reality’ in superficial terms, at least. The internet and social media are valuable for democratization, but as Marshall McLuhan warned with his—”the medium is the message”—the rapid pace and temporary nature of social media can lead to throwaway approaches from the consumer and the creator…”

* State of the art optional AR experience.
* Listen to over 100 minutes of exclusive narration by Shepard Fairey.
* Interact with hundreds of artworks, including world premier exclusives.
* A full three dimensional photo realistic representation of his Damaged show.

Join Shepard Fairey in this state of the art Augmented Reality (AR) experience, where he shares his thoughts and methods behind his artwork.

21st Century Art exhibit for the win!. Being an art historian by day and an enthusiast by night there is no way to get to every show I want, so this is legit the best idea I’ve seen! Shepard Fairey is setting the standard for artists of this era by making his show accessible in an App. It’s genius! Having the ability to access the show is awesome. The narration is a great addition too as you get more of a feeling of being there, but with the added bonus of hearing from the artist himself. Great app, epic show!

The best compromise for those can’t see it in person!. I’ve been wanting to see Shepard Fairey’s work for many many years, and that circumstance has never worked in my favor. However how the work is set up and getting to zoom in into each print was as close as it can get to the real life experience! I can only imagine how fun it would be with an actual VR headset. Highly recommend if you’re like me and have been dying to see his work! This experiment worked out great and congrats on launching a successful user experience for a virtual art exhibition!

Truly Enjoyable!. I love art and did not know what to expect from this app. This app is a wonderful virtual experience of Shepard Fairey’s work. I have a great appreciation of Fairey’s work but I truly did not know the extent of what went into each individual piece...until now! The app allows you to delve into the creative process and intentions of each of Fairey’s art pieces in the DAMAGED Exhibition even as far as the feelings he was trying to invoke. Not only was it great to see the art pieces and how they were presented at the venue but the app itself is well constructed and easy to maneuver through. Thanks for the ride!

My favorite interactive app of 2018!. For someone that is a huge Shepard Fairey fan and collector of his work, this app is not only a dream come true but it’s a MUST have! When the “Damaged” show was announced last year in Los Angeles, I was bummed because the dates conflicted with my personal schedule and I couldn’t attend. This app wipes away that disappoint as I’m able to relive the show in such an authentic experience. The layout is extremely user friendly and functionality of the app is fluid. The commentary of each piece are excellent. The development of the app was definitely thought out and executed well. I’m super happy with this purchase!

Like a private tour with Shepard Fairey. The DAMAGED app blew my mind! I visited the exhibition in person last year and the app faithfully recreates the venue and artwork better than I could have asked for. Every piece of artwork in sight was clickable (even the Heidelberg printing press!) and I was surprised at how much in-depth information each item has, most of which is explained by Shepard himself! This app genuinely has me excited about the potential that VR has for expanding the reach of art exhibits and experiences!

Every show needs this.. This app brings back pleasant memories of the first art show my girlfriend and I attended: Shepard Fairey’s Damaged. The developers did a great job of recreating the environment of the show and the representations of individual works are high quality. An added bonus is the audio supplements that accompany each work, making this an indispensable app for fans of Shepard Fairey and his work. The only thing that’s missing is the social experience of being at a show: the ability to speak to a group of people who appreciate the artwork just as much as I do. I hope to see more of this technology used for a variety of artists and shows so that I may revisit those I have been to as well as experience new ones that I cannot personally attend.

Incredible experience!. What an incredible way to experience art! Bravo to Shepard Fairey and the developers. This is a tool that every artist and gallery should consider using to engage art lovers who are unable to view art in person. Additionally, it gives people who did see the show a new perspective. It gives users new context and information, and allows fans to revisit the show to study what they love or find interesting. This goes beyond what a photograph can do to document the event. This captures the experience!

Shepard Fairey: Your own private tour guide. How would you like the most prolific visual artist of all time to give you a private one-on-one tour of his latest exhibition? Well, this is it. That is exactly how it feels navigating and listening to the content of the app. I’ve never experienced art this way before and I must say it is phenomenal. It is interactive and insightful. I think my favorite part was learning the deeper meaning behind the printing presses that are so prevalent in Fairey’s repertoire. The $5 price for admission to this experience is money well spent.

A nice virtual stroll through the gift shop. I’ve made repeated visits to Shepard Fairey’s Damaged Art show back in November of last year and enjoyed the experience. This VR app took me down the rabbit hole once again. Take a virtual tour throughout the gallery and you’ll get insights into Shepard’s thought process behind many of his pieces (in his own voice) which I wasn’t privy to during my actual visits to the Show. I enjoyed my revisit. It was well worth the $4.99 cost of admission.

As if I was there...AMAZING. This app is so cool! I really love the innovation they put behind this virtual walk through of Shepard Fairy’s exhibition! I’ve been lucky enough to do a live walk through and can clearly say that this rendering of his exhibition is uncanny! You really get an immersive experience of getting to “stroll” around to look at all the prints and what’s best is that if you are newer to Shepard Fairy collecting you can click on the print and see what the name of it is called and what number is was in the series. It is truly inspiring to be able to see a great amount of his work and to be able to share it with my family and friends that have never been! I also LOVED the nod to Shepard by having a bottle of Coca-Cola on the desk which is near where he normally greets those wanting to talk to him and for his love of the drink. It definitely didn’t go unnoticed! Lastly I LOVED that they put in credits to acknowledge and thank all those that put in tons of time and hard work towards this app. I haven’t really seen that before and being someone that has worked in the background on a lot of projects it’s nice to know that they care and are grateful for those that helped make this happened! I hope I can borrow someone’s VR goggles to really get an full walk through and just take it up a notch! Overall, get this app and have fun exploring!!!

A Beautifully Executed Interactive Experience. I’ve been a fan of Shepard Fairey for years and was so excited to hear about this exhibit. We needed it, we really needed it. I came so close to hopping on a plane to go check it out, but couldn’t get away. So, I could not believe my eyes when I saw that this app exists - and was even more amazed when it didn’t disappoint. It really is like being there! If your familiar with the work, you will LOVE this app. If you’re not, you will be better off having experienced it. Skip Candy Crush and spend a few hours here, your soul will thank you.

Phenomenal experience. This app is an awesome way to experience Shepard’s newest works in a way that allows you to feel as if you’re there and being guided by the artist personally. I really appreciate the thought and effort that went into the making of this app. The artwork itself presents a very sobering look at the state that we are in as a people. This exhibition impacts the way that I see the world we live in and inspires me to take action on the issues that are most important to me. Great job Shepard Fairey! 🙏

Amazing way to see the show in detail if you cannot make it! Super Nice!. I really did not expect how interactive and detailed the show was going to be. After figuring out the simple controls of looking around at the exhibit, I then realized I could find out about each individual piece by simply clicking each HPM or Metal. It was like having my own personal tour guide of the exhibit without leaving my room! This was as detailed as any interactive art application I have personally used. Looking forward at what can be done next! Excellent work!

Great step in the right direction.. I was unable to make it to the exhibition while in LA so I was pleased to see I could experience it now in AR. There’s audio commentary for seemingly every piece (with transcripts which I love). The augmented reality experience is quite good. I found it best to use “rotation only” under control preferences. Using the full “AR” often caused confusion in the direction I was traveling. Would love to see even higher resolution rendering in the future. Overall a very fun way to see and hear the thought process behind the art. This is a great way to expand the reach of the exhibition and give access to those who couldn’t see it in person.

The Marriage of Art and Virtual Reality. Art, or the art scene at large, can often times feel inaccessible or unreachable to the masses. Shepard Fairey is breaking down those barriers with “DAMAGED”, his largest solo fine art exhibit to-date. By seamlessly integrating ground-breaking VR/AR technology within the fabric of his exhibit, Shepard offers a vehicle of immersion and creates the opportunity for people all around the world to experience his work. Art has the power to create discussion and generate perspective on the many current events of the world today. The marriage of art and virtual reality will allow everyone around the world to access to exhibitions like “DAMAGED” and join the conversation. Thank you to Shepard Fairey, Vrt Ventures, and Juxtapoz Magazine for this collaboration.

A show for the rest of us. I was skeptical of how well Shep’s works would translate through the VR platform since it’s usually textured, layered and spray painted. Well...it looks amazing! The addition of Shep discussing his thought process behind the pieces is priceless. I titled this review “A show for the rest of us” because there are so many fans just like myself that will never have the opportunity to see a show in person. This app gives us the next best thing! I love it and will be going back to it over and over again to see what new details I can find in the pieces.

Xoxoxo This is AMAZING. I absolutely LOVE this site! There are SO many things in a State if Crisis right now on our world. “Damaged” has brought So Many issues we face in our crumbling world to light and gives our generation hope thru discovery. This App and All the Artwork in “Damaged” give us, the people “A Voice” to express our concerns and to give Hope for Change and Awareness. Thank you Shepard and your team for getting the word out, creating amazing art & now an app where we can have it all at our fingertips. I recommend everyone to download this app today. Xoxoxo Martini Mama

immersive visual & audio of OBEY damaged. for many people around the globe who were unable to attend shepard fairey‘ latest exhibit, damaged, in LA... this app gives a great way to view the works and hear insights from shepard about the various pieces. while an app can’t replace seeing the art in person, this is the next best thing. even if you had attended in person, shepard’s discussion within the app is a great supplement. the app is a great platform for shepard to provide context to his exhibit for a wide audience.

Great job!. I’ve been a fan & collector of Shepard’s work for about 15yrs. This virtual experience was very well executed. I was unable to go to LA for the show, but was able to secure a retired stencil from Library Street Collective. Being able to see my piece in the environment was pretty neat. I enjoyed the audio commentary on various pieces, and overall user experience. Would love to see this implemented more in the art world with other artists and their openings. Great work Shepard and team!

High School Photography and Art Teacher loves. I have seen his street art work in Portugal New York and California and I have always loved knowing immediately that it is SF. I always take photos of the work within the environment and share them with my students in slideshows. It is hard to convey the impact and scale of the work without actually being there. Christmas break just started but I am going to share this VR experience with my 118 students in January when we return to classes. Fabulous.

A Shepard Fairey experience unlike any other!. Been a huge fan of Shepard Fairey for as long as I can remember. Whenever he has exhibits in the area I would make time to go check them out. This AR experience provides the same ability at my fingertips! If you have never been to a Shepard Fairey exhibit and have always wanted to check one out, this app provides an experience that replicates you being at Shepard’s exhibit in person! Innovative, intuitive and immersive. Great app!

Very cool concept…. I think this app is excellent and the first of it’s kind that I’ve seen. I hope that more artists take to this format as it’s really an incredible experience without leaving your living room. The only criticism I would have is that this app does not orient itself to the position of the iPad. Other than that, once you get comfortable navigating, it’s pretty awesome. Thanks!

Calling all Shepard Fairey fans!. I’m not a huge fan of phone apps but the Damaged App is pretty cool. It takes you on a virtual tour of Shepard Fairey's show in Chinatown last year. Shepard himself provides a brief commentary of each piece which includes the inspiration behind the work, along with the materials he used to make it. The app is easy to navigate and gives you the opportunity to experience an exhibit you may have missed. Well done🙌🏻

Macro and Micro. I love how the app explains each piece- the technique, the use of negative space, the emotions, and in a timely way. I go to a lot of museums and the placards don’t explain the art or give any background. In those instances it feels like art is for those who already are in the know. I attended to this show and felt like I got the macro but needed help with the micro. I like how the app points out an homage to Jasper Johns, talks about how beauty is intertwined with the ugly, and you even hear his wife explain why pieces are significant to her. It’s a more holistic approach to art that makes it more accessible and honest to people who aren’t art historians.

Healing times. Having gone to the Damaged Times show, this app has given me the opportunity to revisit the wonderful show at my leisure. Even better than being able to continually visit it again the narration by Shep has helped me understand with greater comprehension the “wrong path” piece that adorns my wall! I look forward to exploring the app in more depth as it continues to give. Excellent interaction and high resolution. Like I’m there again today

The future of modern art. I experienced the app in VR and on my phone, both experiences impressed me. You are transported in this amazing show created by Shepard Fairey and getting a private tour. You can see the show as a whole and in the same time you can analyze details of every artwork. But above all I love the fact that you get a explanation for each piece directly from Shepard himself. I often go to art shows and you don’t always get the chance to meet with the artist and ask him what are the works about, the stories behind the works are what gives them value most of the time.

Blown away. A unique futuristic way of viewing art!. I downloaded this app as Shepherd Fairey is one of my favorite artists and I wanted to support his works. Little did I know that the app would be so detailed and realistic. For a brief moment I really felt like I was viewing the art in the gallery after getting lost in exploring all the spaces. I love how interactive it is with the clickable visual experiences and also narration by Shepherd himself. Amazing stuff! I am definitely sharing this with my family 😊

A collector’s dream come true. Like many others, I was introduced to Shepard Fairey during the Obama campaign when I was starting college. At the same time I also began collecting art prints, and managed to start a very small collection of his limited edition prints. Over the years, it’s been difficult to add to my collection due to the vastly increased demand and instant sell outs on his website. I suspect many others are in the same boat, and having never been able to attend one of his shows, this app more than makes up for it. Calling it an app is almost a disservice, as being able to hear Fairey’s personal commentary is a collector’s dream come true. Thanks so much for making this possible!

Damaged 🔥😎. Best use of VR/AR I have ever experienced! It is absolutely superior to other VR/VR technology utilized at other exhibitions which I’ve attended. I’ve shared my thoughts about it with friends worldwide. Each individual has been impressed with Damage and thanked me for telling them about it as they’ve enjoyed viewing the NYC exhibit from their home cities outside of NYC. It’s a great way to include people who couldn’t attend the installation an opportunity to experience an artist and art they love while allowing friends to have a shared experience no matter how many miles apart they are is wonderful.

Experience Shepard Fairey in a new way!. Shepard Fairey continues to amaze with his art. This app allows you to see what his LA exhibition was like & it is wonderful to be able to “walk” around, zoom in & read his commentary on his work. For some reason my audio didn’t work, but it seems to for others, so I think that is just my phone. Regardless, I am happy to get this & support a phenomenal artist! Experiencing this is akin to being uplifted by a powerful exhibition.

LOVE!. Since I live in Alabama it’s the only way I’ll be able to see this exhibit. I hope that Shepard and his team do this again in the future! I love being able to sit on my porch on the other side of the country with a cup of coffee and be instantly transmitted to this gallery. It’s also nice when Shepherd is talking about each piece it’s like he’s there with you, it’s very clear and he doesn’t sound like a typical voice recording.

An Artist of The People. Having been to 2 Shepard Fairey gallery shows in person I was excited that his most recent works would be available to view via the Damaged App. The depth to Shepard’s work can really be seen in this medium unlike just viewing photo’s online. The controls are easy to understand and use and navigating the show is a simple process. Take your time and soak in everything that Shepard has to offer, you’ll be better for it.

Cool App since I can’t make the show. Awesome app to check out the exhibition. Although shows are much cooler to see all the various textures on the physical art, I think this is a great way for people to get immersed into the entire exhibition as a whole and take their time to absorb it all in. Hopefully more artists will do their shows on this platform - maybe even before it opens, so they can try out various layouts beforehand. I’m supposed at how clear, crisp and smooth everything comes out in this app

Damaged makes you feel as you are there. Amazing! This app created to give you the experience of attending one of Sheperd’s exhibits is incredible. When you can’t be there in person, this is the next best thing! I loved the commentary given by Sheperd on each piece. It was if I was receiving a person guided tour by the artist himself! My husband and I have been fans since first meeting Sheperd over twenty years ago in Charleston and have enjoyed following his career and voice in the art world! Bravo!

Welcome to the FUTURE!!!. I was not able to make the show as I broke my collar bone skateboarding with our dog a few days earlier. As a long time fan of Shepherd & his work I would have loved to have been there. This VR experience is absolutely amazing. Not only is the image quality & functionality more than I expected... The added commentary by Shepherd gives the viewer wonderful insight from the man himself. Even those who made it to the show will appreciate Shepherds in depth explanations of what the pieces mean to him. Additional sound effects help recreate the experience of viewing the work in a large open warehouse type space. Truly immersive! I look forward to seeing the development of more Apps like this. Thank You for pushing the bar forward & increasing accessibility to this amazing artists work! ✌️❤️🎨

Impressive. This app was a great and surprisingly fulfilling experience. At first I thought the idea of a virtual exhibition was kinda silly but once I actually opened the app I realized that was far from the truth. There are narrations for each artwork in the show and they describes each piece beautifully. I like how it’s interactive and it really makes you feel like you are there at the exhibition(put on earphones!). What I like most about this is that you can visit it any time, anywhere like a mini art show in your pocket. As a Shepard Fairey fan I definitely recommend giving this a try.

The future of art has arrived. I have been a fan of Shepard Fairley for quite a few years but have yet to make it to one of his exhibitions. This app allowed me to immerse myself in the art at my own pace and see the detail of each piece. While I would’ve loved to see this exhibit in person, this app is the next best thing. It is simple and organized while allowing you to customize your experience in the exhibit. I hope that this truly is the future of art so that I can experience the exhibits that are states away. Well done 👏🏽

Graffiti gets longevity. As a long time lover of street artists and recently trying some of my own this app is a dream come true! There are only so many podcasts and videos you can find to understand what the artist was thinking when they painted the subject. The audio description of each painting by Fairey himself almost gives you a step into his mind and allows you to know and understand every part of the painting while even point out subtle intricacies that you may have missed in the background. For an artist to work for years on a show that's only up for a month and many not being able to see it, this app gives something so amazing longevity that everyone can later enjoy.

Make art even more accessible. As a long time Shepard Fairey fan, I can’t think of anything better than this app to make art more accessible (okay stickers you got me), which is always the idea of the artist. I live in NYC so I was lucky to see the VR show in person and it was amazing, but I gotta say this app is even better! As you can enjoy very high definition of the whole set, even on the details of the print machine. It has multiple ways of controlling so if you just want to lay down and swipe, that works also. More importantly you can listen to Shepard Fairy commenting on each art pieces?? (BONUS: he mentioned his favorite movie in one piece, try find it!)

Shep is writing the future.. Clearly progress isn’t just a word to Shepard Fairey. Here he is 30 years into his career continuing to explore new avenues to get his work and message to the masses. This is an expression on getting up in the modern age. The functionality, UI/UX, image quality and amount of rich content in this app is remarkable. Not only is it like having a gallery in the palm of your hand; the wonderfully thoughtful writing is packed with tons of insight into how Shepard creates his work and why. Any enthusiast of art and cultural progression should download this immediately.

Wow, is all I can say!!. Wow!! That is all I can say about this exploration of creativity with such an amazing artist! It was such a unique and wonderful experience to be able to hear the narration in Shepard’s own voice and to understand the depth and meaning of each piece! It was like your were inside his mind as he created each piece doing a tour of his minds gallery! Not something you get to do everyday!! The graphics and application ease of use made it a virtual treat to the senses. Such a creative idea to experience firsthand one of the artistic geniuses of our time. It was a fantastic way to get exposure to all the pieces on his collection! Thank you so much for making me feel like such a part of each unique piece on display!

Art in the Modern Era. Contemporary Craftsmanship This is one of the most clear & innovative digital art installations I have ever experienced. Not everyone is able to experience these works in person & this gives them an up close & personal look at the art. It’s so easy to navigate the exhibit and learn about each piece/installation. I’m really impressed with how clear not only the visuals are, but also the audio that goes w/each piece. It truly lets you be immersed in the art & the experience. I’m truly blown away by the quality.

Great way to explore more Obey and Shepard Fairey artworks!. I love the ease of using this app. It’s a great way to explore Shepard’s recent show and get and up close look and in-depth information and background on the works. This especially great if you were not able to see the show in person or if you have not had the opportunity to see his large canvas works in person. The detail in the pieces is amazing! Plus supporting an artist that does great work in the studio and outside the studio is a win win!

Fantastic look at a historic art exhibit. I was very fortunate to visit the Damaged exhibition multiple times last year in LA. It was one of the most important shows I’ve even been too and this app is a fantastic reminder of it. Damaged was influential to the art scene and this helped solidify its place in history by allowing people to view it long after the walls were empty. The app works fluently and has great controls with zoom capabilities that allow the user to really get up close and personal with the art. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a refreshing look at an art exhibit through great technology.

Really really cool. I love this app. I’ve been collecting Shep’s work since 2008 and it’s gotten really hard to get his new releases at original cost. This app is a fantastic way to see all of the various prints I have unsuccessfully obtained. It was really cool hearing his voice narrating the stories behind the exhibit and the posters, and his wife even makes an appearance. I was able to see Shepard speak at the Philly Art Museum a few years ago and this app is the next best thing to seeing him in person. Really love the AR option as well. This was well worth $5 and I hope they either update it or create new apps for each new exhibition.

For $4.99 hung out with Shepard who personally walked me through the whole show!. After a full week of Miami Art Week & Art Basel-ing it was time to lay back and relax. But I was not ready to give up my daily fix of art. For the cost of a bottle of water at the fairs ($4.99) The Damaged App turned out to be a great way to decompress while laying back and enjoying Shepard Fairy giving me a one on one personal tour of his LA show Damaged. It felt like I’m there walking right up to each work and able to see every detail of the work all while Shepard is telling me how that piece came to be in the show, why he was inspired and/or pointing out the hidden gems one might miss. The VR navigation is really well done and does not feel clunky or dizzying which is often on of the things I do not enjoy from other VR apps.

Incredible Experience!. This app is an amazing and immersive experience that I wish more of my favorite artists would embrace. Being stuck in the midwest I rarely have the opportunity to experience shows of this caliber, and having this as an option is an incredible advancement in technology. I look forward to not only sharing this with my friends and family, but also future projects yet to come!

An amazing VR Experience. This was one of the coolest things I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing. It was a lot more interactive than i expected it to be and it was amazing hearing all the incredible stories & meanings behind each piece of artwork. Personally, it felt very intimate, i found myself in awe with each different audio description because i felt like it was just a friend telling me about their new piece of art they created. It made me appreciate Shepard’s artwork a whole lot more and made me see it from a different perspective. It was cool, defiantly worth the price, it was a nice escape from the real world for a bit.

Innovative, creative and inspiring!. This app exceeded all my expectations. Being able to visit an exhibit like this and getting a personal tour by Shepard sharing the meaning and depth behind each art piece is an extraordinary treat! Especially when I don’t even have to leave my home and can watch it anytime, anywhere piece by piece or all at once. Thank you for making an app that provides such great value and is so easy to use. I highly recommend it!

Easy to use, intuitive, and most importantly beautiful artwork. Whether you’ve been a fan of Shepard’s for a long time like I have or this app is an introduction for you this is well worth the cost of admission and then some. Damaged was a fantastic gallery show with several incredible pieces and this app lets you see it in the next best way other than being there. Easy to maneuver about with controls that allow the user to zoom in and out of pieces with ease, and information on the works themselves. Highly recommended.

Very cool!. Wow! A great experience!!! It’s fun to have the chance to see the exhibition!!! A great new way to diffuse art show around the world. Bravo!!!

Virtually Flawless. Awesome app! If you love art, if you’re a fan of Fairey I highly recommend. Great virtual tour accompanied by great commentary by Shepard himself. Enter the gallery!

Thanks!. Great to be have a chance to see it virtually....couldn’t be there physically so delighted with this option.

Immerse in art!. This app is great, feels like you’re at the exhibit. You need to try it.

Amazing app. I miss the show in Los Angeles but downloading the ap made me feel as if I was there ;)

Crash. Could be great but no way to tell. Instant crash. (iPad Air 2, iOS 10.3) Tried reinstall but still no go.

A well done virtual exhibition. Pretty much just that. It’s a virtual exhibition and is put together about as cleanly as can be done

A unique and well thought out experience!. This is such an amazing way to experience Shepard Fairy’s art! I showed this to a friend who was not familiar with his work and even though he’s not so much an “Art” person he was invested in the app and thoroughly enjoyed the use of AR. For those already familiar with Shepard Fairey’s work this is A BRAND NEW WAY to appreciate his art. Highly recommended!

Really cool, easy to use and immersive art app. This is a great idea for an app - it allows folks that may not have much access to high profile gallery shows the ability to view view some incredible artwork. It’s also extremely easy to navigate around the gallery (think google maps street view). I’d highly recommend checking it out.

Amazing App!!!. I am blown away how cool this app is - it’s like getting a personal tour from Shepard Fairey himself! I was not expecting the narration, but am pleasantly surprised. The app is easy to navigate, and the graphics are super crisp. If you’re a fan of Fairey’s work, and/or want to know more about the thought process behind his creations, this is definitely for you!!

BEST APP. As a student, I love looking at art! This app allows for you to feel like you are walking through Shepard’s Fairy’s exhibition! Being able to hear Fairey’s commentary really makes it feel like he is personally giving you a tour. I love being able to look at the art as if i was at the exhibition. You can even click on a print to get more information about it. This app is so amazing!

Really awesome!. This app is terrific! If you’re a fan of Shep/Obey and love the art, this app purchase is a no brainer! The AR feature is the closest thing to actually being at the show and you get to hear the monologue from Shepard himself talk about the exhibit. An easy $5 to spend to be able to enjoy and re-enjoy the show as many times as you like from the comforts of home.

Amazing art experience. Just downloaded and the VR experience is top notch. I have only used on my phone so far but looks like iPad is supported too. Crisp resolution, easy to navigate and the narration is a great add too. Highly recommend to folks that may want to experience sheps work and May not be able to go themselves. VRt ventures and obey knocked this app out if the park. Very enjoyable.

Art for art skate. The future of museum exhibition....while I am not one to conform or adapt, this app will make you obey the new way of experiencing art. Like a Shepard herding his flock, the mechanics are designed for an easy viewer flow. An introverts dream, no need to wait in lines or crowds, you can navigate through an array of pieces like a Fairey flying above....Obey...skate...screen print...graffiti....ummm...Andre the Giant...oh ooh...Obey Giant; and lastly... thanks Obama, Potential print winner

A Must For Any Shepard Fan. As an early pioneer of the street art movement, Shepard always stood out due to his thoughtfulness when it came to effecting political change through art. If you have never been to a Shepard/Obey show, this VR experience is a must. It feels like you’re there, witnessing the paintings themselves. Check it out!

The future of Museum exhibitions. This impressive virtual showing takes you into Shepard Faireys largest solo show - and with narration from the artist himself it feels like you are walking through the exhibition hand in hand with Shepard. The art world has changed dramatically the last years and this is the perfect way to make art shows accessible for everyone. This is the future!

Great Concept for an App!!!. As a huge Shepard Fairey fan, its really cool to have an interactive exhibition of his right at my fingertips. It allows me and other fans to feel more connected to the art and the artist. The app is user-friendly and quite intuitive. I like the controls that allow me to feel like I’m moving around the art or examining it closer. Great work! I can’t wait to see the improvements!!!

What the world needs right now.. This app is incredible. Not only does it showcase works of art that bring up issues people NEED to be talking about, but it also displays it in a very REAL way. You can navigate easily and feel like you’re seeing the work in person. I am so glad I downloaded this.

Best way to experience art from the convenience of your phone. I’m a tattoo artist by day and art collector and painter by night, I have never experienced or seen a cooler way to experience art on my phone! The way you can interact and view the pieces is amazing! The commentary is so informative and gives the viewer such an insight on what went into Shepard Faireys thought process in these pieces!

Damaged. Played around with it for a few mins at work. Pretty cool, tons of work from Shepard Fairey. Now we know why there were so many releases this year. Kind of cool seeing works that I own in the show. I will definitely use it to explore the entire show. Not sure it’s a app I will continue to use once I’ve seen everything though so the $4.99 seems a little steep but the AR is interesting.

Loved this virtual exhibit capability. I loved being able to experience this exhibit virtually. This gives the user the ability to see a show as expressed by the artist when it is not possible to attend. Being able to view, zoom and then read about each piece worked exceptionally well. The controls were easy to use. Thank you for making your art accessible to all. I’m a fan!

Like Being There. Is this the future of art? I love going to galleries and museums to see art, although that’s not always practical. If you can’t get a private tour from an artist in a gallery showing across the country or the world, this is a close second to being there! I’m curious to see how this progresses.

Groundbreaking App!. This app is the beginning of where art meets virtual reality. I can not help but say that the result is ASTONISHING. When a friend told me about this app that will allow me to view Fairey’s work from the comfort of my home, I was hesitant. After exploring the gallery and hearing the voiceovers I was impressed to say the least. Now that I have tried the app I can’t help but say that every art lover should give this app a try. You won’t regret it!

Incredible way to view gallery shows in the palm of your hand.. I’m an art collector and huge Shepard Fairey fan and while I own a couple of prints from the “Damaged” show including one in large format, sadly I was unable to attend the show. This app gives you an unique look into the groundbreaking exhibition and allows you to interact as if you were actually in the gallery. Well done!

How Life Has Changed Since I was a Boy Visiting Art Galleries. This app is absolutely amazing. My nephew told me about it, and I didn’t believe how I could look at my phone and be immersed into an art gallery! I was born in 1945 and not only was it a long drive to get to museums, we did not have the money to make the trip In the first place. Kudos to Mr. Fairey, VR’T, and juxtapoz! Job well done!

Next level work. So happy to have the ability to experience his talent and feel as though my voice lift up through his art. Access to the exhibit through my phone allows me to experience the strength and activism of his work. The connection to new technology but the fundamental basis of activism all wrapped up in to a neat and tidy app. Fairey is taking art to the next level.

Amazing. I was at the opening for the damaged show and was blown away with the use of technology for this exhibit. This is truly the future of art. It was great to see some of my favorite Shepard works come to life in virtual reality. I own some of the pieces and it’s been awesome to be able to share the app with family and friends.

Art for the Masses. Makes art accessible to all. Let art come to you right where you spend most of your time, your phone. This app is your ticket to woke art influencing your world view making this world a better place as brought to you by one of this generations most penetrable voices. You need this in your life.

Great app!!. I have always believed that art is the only way to transform society. This application brings us closer to Shepard's work, and gives another perspective of life; bringing awareness of our society and the problems different groups face. This immersion in the gallery takes us to a journey through the author and something better, through ourselves.

A new way to view art. Big fan and collector of Shepard’s work. Since I live on the East coast I was not able to attend the Damaged show, so making it accessible in an interactive app is a very cool idea. I very much enjoy the narrative/tour guide by Shepard on all of his pieces. It really provides a more personal touch to this experience. Itll be interesting to see if and when another show/experience will be translated like this.

Visit from home!. For someone with a love of street art - particularly Shepherd Fairey - I’m excited for any opportunity to see and appreciate new work. The ability to do it in person isn’t always an option, so an app like this is the perfect solution. In some ways even better! The interview and commentary from the artist himself is awesome! Definitely a fun app - visit the gallery as often as you want!

Merging Art with Tech ✖️🔥✖️. The future is now, this app lets you immerse yourself in the art of Shepard. His virtual tour lets you enjoy his work, understand the thinking process behind every piece in the highest quality. Using a headset is a plus but it looks amazing on the phone as well. Would love to see this type of tech in more shows. 🙌

Flawless. Damaged is one of Fairey’s best works, and being able to view it on your phone allows opens up a whole world of viewing full art galleries from the comfort of your home. Being able to see it in VR, and examine the artwork as you could in person is easily this best feature.

Very cool. This app recreates Shepard Fairey’s “Damaged” exhibition in your own hand with close-ups of the art and commentary by Shepard himself. I was fortunate to attend the exhibition in-person, on opening night, and this app makes it much easier to check out the art without waiting in long lines and being crowded by all of the other fans. The commentary alone makes it worthwhile!

Went and came back from Shepard Fairey’s exhibit. All at my fingertips through the comfort of my home. Had no idea VR could be this clean. From the design of the app, to the functionality and most importantly, the crispness of the artwork, it’s very pleasing to see this innovative use of VR. As a big fan of Shepard Fairey, I hope to see more exhibits in the future this accessible.

So rad.. I’ve been a fan of Shepard Fairey’s work for a very long time, so having the opportunity to see a tremendous amount of his work in an exhibit setting was quite the experience. Shepard continues to effectively deliver his message to the masses by keeping up with modern technology. Well done, man. The quality of the app itself is great and easy to use. And of course, the art itself is impeccable. Thanks, Shepard!

Just like being at the show!. I stood in line for hours and was lucky to get into Damaged. This app is bringing back all the great memories and art work I soaked in that night with my familia when we met SF. His art has been therapeutic and inspiring during these uncertain and stressful times we’re living thru. I get to soak in all this memorable content again. Impressive app.

Shepard and VRT Ventures know how to put the AR in ART!. I’ve never been able to attend an Obey art show because they never come around my area. The only exhibit I get to see is my own Obey collection. This awesome AR app is the next best thing! It’s art, a tour and narration by Shepard all in one. Great idea guys. I’m also a product designer with an eye on AR/VR so this hits all the high points for me. Looking forward to more AR gallery shows!

First time using a VR app. I've never thought that a VR app on a iPhone would really feel immersive but after attending the pop-up exhibit in NY I stand corrected. There I used this app with a VR headset and it really felt like being in a gallery with the actual pieces of art in front of me. Just using the app alone fans get insight to the artists process and meaning behind creating certain pieces. A great app for both fans of art or Shepard Fairy.

A great mixture of art & technology. I’ve long admired Obey art on the streets and in person but have never had the opportunity to see one his shows in the flesh. This is like being able to have a private showing with a tour by Shepard himself. Very cool to hear about the inner workings of each piece of art and a neat way to be a to explore the show. Support living artists!

I can’t wait to share this with my students!. I saw my first Shepard Fairey Show in Pittsburgh at the Warhol Museum in 2009 and have been a huge collector and fan since. I work at a Title 1 high school in Tampa, FL and I am always looking for new, virtual. Field trip experiences for them since we can’t afford to always see things first hand. Thank you for creating this app. I enjoy everything about it!

Wow!!! Such an amazing show!. I unfortunately was not able to make it to the Shepard Fairey Obey Damaged show. I have been collecting Shepard’s prints and work for many years now. This is the first time I have been able to attend such an amazing show from the comfort of my own home. Thank you for giving all of the fans a chance to see such an iconic show. Love being able to have Shepard explain in detail about every piece.

Narration Makes the App. How often do you get to have a legendary artist like Shepard Fairey explaining a whole gallery of their art to you? This app gives you the chance to check out a lot of different pieces, and there is a ton of narration recorded for the gallery tour. Not too many people have the ability to make it out to a gallery show, so this is a really smart way to take advantage of technology to bring the art to the masses.

Inspiring and Emotional. Loving the damaged app! I’d never get to see Fairey’s work in person this way - the best part is I can really take my time. There’s no rush - no time constraints. Like having my own personal gallery of art, the poignancy Of process and message is just as strong the 20th time I visited - as it was the first. I’m beyond grateful! 🦋✨✨❤️

The closest thing to being there. I found this app to be such a great way to experience the work. Having Shepard walk you through each piece from the big idea to each little nuance makes this app so much better than the usual exhibit app. It becomes a truly immersive experience all from the comfort of your own device.

Just like being there. I went to see Damaged on opening night and the vibe was so alive. I also went back again to enjoy the art in a less crowded environment. So many great pieces were on display and I wanted to take them all home. Now I can have the whole exhibit in my pocket!! Shepard Fairey’s art is a step towards enlightenment. Download and enter it, highly recommended.

A Whole New Way To Experience Art. What would you say if you could have a personal gallery of your favorite artist’s work? The Damaged App gives you that experience with the amazing works of Shepard Fairey. Enter a VR world filled with the works of the Obey Giant innovator. Zoom in for all the fine details. Or stand back & observe the evolution of his art. A must have for any appreciator of fine art.

Damaged. This is an amazing app! I went to the Subliminal Projects show last week and leaned about the app while waiting in line. It’s well worth the price (but I’m a huge fan of the art). This hopefully will be the trend for future art shows. Super clear and easy to get around all the art with this app. Anyways worth buying and using!!! Thank you Todd

Download this AMAZING APP!. Shepard Fairey has outdone himself once again. As a leader of the Progressive Movement here in the States, Obey Giant has been at the forefront of Art & Culture - always with a perfect slogan and/or image to summarize a specific plight or to simply highlight a greater good. Damaged App is the perfect tool for visitors to deeply indulge into what makes Shepard Fairey tick. It showcases some of his most inspiring and prolific works with the precision of a human eye - it feels like you’re really there in his studio!

Art for the masses. This is such a great way to bring the art to the people. Being able to view Shepard Fairey’s art anywhere is amazing. Listening to Fairey explain his process and inspiration for each piece is like having him as you own personal docent. You really get to experience what the artist was thinking not just someone’s interpretation. Well worth the $5.

Incredible. I’ve followed Shepard for a long time and at first I was skeptical because I rarely ever pay for an app. However, this app is TOTALLY worth the price. It’s incredibly innovative and interactive. I’ve never seen an app like there where you can see an artists work as if you were in the museum itself. Love it.

Innovative virtual gallery experience. I missed the Damaged exhibit last year and this app made up for it. I was able to maneuver through the gallery with ease and click on several of Shepard Fairey’s pieces to get a close up and audio commentary by Shepard himself. I have no doubt more galleries will catch on and use apps like this to bring their top exhibits to the public.

Crafted for Damaged. This app is super sharp. It provides a beautiful platform that acts like a showcase for the art. Shepard explains a little about the process and thought behind each piece in the show. The user navigates through a virtual space that is the Damaged installation. You can click and zoom easily to see details or hear info about the work.

Groundbreaking. A brilliantly simple idea, phenomenally executed! I’m a longtime admirer of Shepard Fairey and have been to several exhibitions of his work, but having access to his personal commentary just takes the experience to another level. The graphics are flawless and the environment is truly immersive. Well worth the price of admission!

A Fun Way to Experience Shepard Fairey’s work. Damaged is a nicely executed, easy to use VR app that lets you walk around an exhibition of Shepard Fairey’s work and listen to or read narration about each piece of art. I learned a lot more about his work and ideas using this, as he points out aspects of the work I hadn’t noticed, and would recommend it for anyone interested in knowing more about his art.

Almost as good as being there in person!. Living in LA I was fortunate enough to attend this show when it launched. I’m also a big fan of VR. This app is really a great marriage of the both. If you weren’t able to see it in person this is easily the best, most immersive opportunity to see what you missed (without having to wait in that crazy line)! Easily worth the $5!

Shepard Fairey Genius (or a glitch). “Damaged” is amazing - not only do you get to walk around the exhibition, SF’s narrates his thoughts & inspirations for his art and the exhibit. When I tapped on “Wrong Path” my VR went into a #talespin. The narrative continued but the exhibit deconstructed to an industrial wasteland, shadows of SF’s palette and flickering art images teased that it could re-boot. Was this a glitch in the matrix or clever intent? Who knows for sure? But it made me think & I loved it. That in a nutshell sums up Shepard Fairey’s genius. . . .
