Great app but…. I have recently started using this app to learn piano, and it’s all fun. The one issue I have with this app is that if you are not premium, you only get like 10 minutes a day pretty much. Then you have to wait like hours just to play again. I personally don’t like this because when I’m motivated to play piano and then I play, I want to play a lot. Then the 10 minute limit comes in and I get all sad that I can’t learn no more piano for hours. I know this is to try to get people to buy premium, but I don’t ever spend money on these apps so I have to use the free version. But couldn’t it have like a 25 minute limit or something like that? I think it would be much better because like I said, I get motivated sometimes and I want to play a lot of piano. This is just a suggestion though. Overall, the app is great since you can go through all the courses without paying. This app is good for anyone that wants to learn piano and looking to not spend money!

My piano skills have improved greatly!. I am in my 30s and have always had the desire to play piano. I have tried several attempts throughout the years but just couldn’t stick with it. However after doing this app for about two months now, I am playing Music in ways I thought I never could. I really appreciate this app and I’m so thankful for it. One suggestion I have is if we could see the full sheet music so that way we can practice on the areas that we may have problems on instead of having to start the whole song completely over and wait until we get to that part. That’s a little annoying. Also I’m not into secular music. I enjoy learning with the classical pieces much better. But I know you can’t please everyone with the music selections LOL. I will also email my suggestions as the app developer has suggested because I really want to stick with this app to improve my piano skills it has help me tremendously.

Best app ever!. This is the best app ever! It’s so good to learn with if your thinking about learning piano this is the app for you. I was thinking like I really want to learn piano. I found one app already but since I didn’t have it on my mom’s iPad I was trying to reload it. So I searched the app and this app popped up along with the app I was looking for. So i was looking at the reviews they were all good and I’m like why not give it a try I downloaded it and loved it. As soon as it downloaded I started playing songs I saw the intro and watched it. And I’m like cool a real piano teacher. As soon as I started I got hooked playing song after song looking for my favorite songs. I told my dad this is cool. I created an account so he could get my progress. I kept playing I totally love it! thank you so much. It’s a great app I am gonna practice a lot now. If you wanna learn piano download this app please!

Good, Could be better. I never write reviews but since I’ve been using this app for over a month now I thought I should. What I love about this app is that I have noticed progress in my playing since I started. I only have time for 30 minutes three times a weeks and I surprise myself every time I come back at how much progress I have made. My only criticism is that if I want to practice a specific part that I am struggling with, I have to start at the beginning. I wish you could rewind a few bars or print the sheet music so you could isolate difficult parts of the song you’re learning. Maybe that’s something you guys could look into? Anyway, good app all around. Definitely would recommend it. 👍🏽

Powerful Tool. This app is simply awesome!!! I have never played or studied music before but have always wanted to learn to play the piano. Looking for different apps led me here! So far, this app has been challenging, entertaining, and educational. It’s setup in a way that teaches you the basics of music while pushing you to practice your skills on a keyboard or piano. I will admit... having access to a keyboard or piano is extremely better and will give you more out of this experience. It’s pretty cool too cause it ends up teaching you interactively with your phone or tablet through the microphone and speaker. If you have played any sort of rock band or guitar hero on a video game console you have an advantage! It’s like the rock band of real life! Thanks for the app and for the opportunity to use it for free. I look forward to practicing and working on my skills!

I like this app a lot. I like this app a lot but I have one thing that I do not like about this app and that is this: i’ve use this app before and the older version it how do you go straight to the song book after 10 minutes was up I wish you could do that again because that is very nice to me so then you could practice for 10 minutes and then you can get in some songs but instead you’re having us work for five minutes and then you go to the song book for five minutes and then your 10 minutes is up I wish you could redo that where it automatically sends you to the song book again hope you can respond to this and fix this in the next update thank you

Great app but…. This is a great app for beginners like myself who have no time to take formal piano lessons. However, I had to cancel my subscription for now due to a couple of issues. 1. The app does not allow you to go back or adjust the speed of the notes and for a slow sight-readers, this is very challenging. You’ll have to restart the song or wait for it to finish instead of working on the part you find yourself stuck every single time. 2. The app has a hard time registering my piano and this happens very frequently. 3. No sheet music available to practice on depending on your skill level. If these issues are fixed, I’ll definitely re-subscribe. Until then, adios!

3 week review (newbie piano player). I really like this app. I am now really learning piano! I do have a few wants with this app though: I can’t tell you how many times I have to pause the song I’m on to learn where my hand should be and try to slow down the songs myself. I wish you could select the tempo of the songs. Also I wish I could just scroll back a few measures and play them over and over again. Even scroll forward through easy measures to get to harder measures. I’m still flustered when playing both hands and the song goes too fast. Like I said I’m new to piano. Sometimes when there is an instructional video it takes forever to buffer too and it’s not my internet trust me we’ve got the best internet we can get and we check the speed regularly. Only this app buffers and it’s annoying. I like how he teaches theory though! Very good and broken down for anyone to learn. I already know treble clef because I also play trumpet but I have to really think on bass clef! All Cars Eat Gas , Good Boys Do Fine Always...

Good but.... I’ve only been using this a little over a week, and am learning piano for the first time, but have played other instruments as a child so the theory isn’t completely new, HOWEVER, I am almost done with the first level (12 or so lessons) and the practice songs in the songbook are a bit frustrating. They teach you a four-count and the symbol for a one beat pause, but a lot of the songs have half-beats and what I assume are half-beat pause symbols, and you just have to figure out how to count that while still learning the notes and hand placement and it is really becoming frustrating. I am having a hard time counting some beats bc they are like 2.5 or 3.5 but it’s hard to tell from the way it’s displayed and there’s no one to ask. I don’t understand why they would throw all that at us without instructing us first. Other than that I’ve enjoyed the app, and like that you can use a keyboard in the app before laying out several hundred for a decent keyboard, but you can really only go so far with the app keyboard (forget two hands!). The developer also seems open to feedback and implements the suggestions, which is good.

BAD game. So I saw that this game was the game of the day so I wanted to download it plus I was looking for piano app’s because you might have read my Simpley Piano review where I pointed out 1 good thing and 4 bad things and I did my tip if you’re gonna download this app that you don’t wanna pay for it either way I’m going to do something like what I did for my simply piano review 1. there is no good thing bad stuff-1. right when I download it it automatically said download the free trial and I didn’t even let me look at a single song🤬2. this game said it was free but it actually isn’t🤬3.whenever I see ads for this app it says they’re free when they’re actually not😡Tip: if you’re gonna download this game like me I don’t wanna pay for it for it DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT suggestion: change this app now or this app will be bye-bye forever suggestion tip: make so songs free and others not. Simply piano is better. Listens progress too fast in an awkward way, it doesn’t let you practice repeatedly, so before you know it you will be stuck with complicated notes. So in order to practice it, you have to go back to the same lessons to play the same boring songs, which actually doesn’t didn’t help because your ears and fingers memorize the movement before your eyes do, so you will pass the lesson eventually but, it doesn’t help you with note reading. And each lessons loads way too slow because of unnecessary “shows” such as painfully long cheerings or pauses that come between lessons. So it makes you sick to move on. Only the lesson I feel like I could take was that birds on telephone lines because all the notes seems to be different every time I try, but again, I have to wait for the narrator talking and wait for the birds to land on the stupid telephone lines and it just takes forever. Terrible way to learn piano.

New to piano and love it but I have a suggestion. First off let me say you really have to use headphones otherwise it doesn’t pick up that you’re playing the right notes. Secondly it’s amazing as a beginner to piano and I would much rather pay $16/mo than pay for formal lessons. My suggestion is that in addition to many people who ask to be able to see full sheet music, especially since we’re paying for this app that should be a given, but I would also like the ability to just go over a portion of the song. Many times I’m struggling with one part which is in the middle or the end of the song but I have to restart the entire song to work on it and have to play through things I feel comfortable with when really I just want to go over the part I’m finding more challenging. Otherwise great app and I’m really enjoying learning piano! As a side note I already play guitar and have for many years and have been singing all my life so music isn’t new for me but when it comes to piano I’m a total noob!

It has potential... I have some experience with piano. I have skipped around from app to app trying to find something with good piano lessons. Some apps are great, but cost money, and other are just plain bad. I thought this app was going to be good, since it has a professional introduction and it started off by teaching you two basic notes. However, when I started the first song, the app didn’t pick ANY of the notes I played. It was even worse when it stopped the song to help you play the note. I had to jam the key on my keyboard, and I don’t think that’s good for the keyboard. I don’t know if the problem is with me, the app, my iPad, or the keyboard, but I don’t want to waste my time basically hitting my keyboard. Other then that, this app is pretty great! :)

Great! But needs one main improvement. I just started learning piano, and it’s been great using this app! I love how I’ve learned music theory along with the general piano, it’s exactly what I’d been looking for. However, the app could use one main improvement: When learning new songs for lessons, it would be helpful to be able to change the speed of the song from slower to full speed. That way, one could practice the song at a slower pace and make their way up to full speed. I know the songs in lessons have “slower pace” practice before the full pace song, but even that’s too fast sometimes for a very beginner. It’d be nice to determine the speed by yourself (this goes for both songs AND practice exercises)- maybe have a sliding bar for speed so the student can manually change the pace of the song. Otherwise, this is a great app!

It was incredible until.... I read some of the reviews and I was really excited to download this app because the reviewers were saying it was free, I tried other apps and in order to continue with your lessons you needed to pay certain amount of money, and I am one of those persons who can’t pay, so when I saw this app I was completely satisfied, I used the app for about 20 minutes and in lesson number 5, approximately, the app was saying that I needed to pay to continue, so then I realized you guys updated it, and now, again, I’m going to eliminate the app just as I did with other ones, I hope you can make it free again or at least just the lessons, or another idea could be to put adds and unlock videos and lessons with them. Thank you if you read this 💗

Great for beginners - Tedious for others. It’s great for beginners! There’s just two things I’m not a fan of. When I first downloaded this app, I didn’t have a real keyboard available to me, so I had to use the virtual one in the app. The problem is the keys are smaller than my fingers, so it’s hard to make sure you hit them perfectly. I found that hitting them slightly to the side either wasn’t recognized, or was recognized as the note next to the correct key. But obviously, this will not be a problem for those who have a physical piano/keyboard available to them. Another criticism that I have is that you have to unlock everything starting from the very beginning. That’s great for beginners, and I understand that’s who this is meant for. But it would be nice for those who already know a little bit, or those who play other instruments and already know what clef and a staff are to be able to start at their current skill level and skip what they’ve already learned elsewhere. Though with that said, it seems that the lessons are fairly quick, so it’s not the end of the world. It’s just an annoyance for those who aren’t complete beginners who have no musical knowledge under their belt, going into this.

Awesome App!! Works Perfectly!!. I love this app. This app lets me play any song i like. I love how it stops and lets u catch up to the notes so u can learn little by little. I also love that u can change to Begginer, intermediated , or advanced once u go to Intermediate it lets u do the song with Remebering the notes!!! It’s awesome I love this piano app!! It works better than any other app. Also, since I don’t have a piano or keyboard it lets me practice it on my phone. It also gives u a tutorial on how to play and what keys are which D,E,F,G I require this app if u do not have a Paiona or a keyboard or even if u do. It will help u learn brand new songs!! And it will bring u step Bye step. Nothing is bad about this app. That is why I give it a 5 rating ❤️💜💜💜💜🤗

I’m starting to hate it. I used to like this app and I’m trying to learn piano. There is just one problem... this app does not ask if you understand or need to go over the lesson again. I know that their is a choice to go back to a lesson but it tells me the notes and that does not help me learn. If the creators of this app could add a feature that the app would ask you if you understand or not so that it’s not so challenging when you move on. I’m really trying to learn but this is the only decent app. So far I only know the right hand notes because the app moves too quickly and does not help you learn piano like it says. I was about to delete the app but I decided to give this one more chance hoping that the creators of the app would see this and add that feature that asks you if you understand or not. Thank You

Ok.... I am a kid, and I loved it at first, other than the fact it didn’t ask for my level, and treated me as a beginner, ai mean, I started playing a little before I even turned 5! I just decided to ignore that fact and give it a 4.5, but on Level 3, it just decided it wouldn’t listen anymore!!!😡I was working so hard and having fun with piano and this app and it just stopped listening!!!!! So I thought it was just this level, it’s fine. My rating dropped to a 4 or a 3.5. Then, it totally ruined my progress by saying I needed to buy a premium to keep continuing! So mad, it instantly dropped to a 2 or a one, I think it should ask your level, let you make multiple accounts, and it’s premium should be less expensive and include things like ,or more songs, or answers to questions ,or more accounts, or a zoom teacher or something, learning and skipping lessons should be available to everyone. But they deserve credit, so 1 star.

Really good app. I love the app the only problem is that you need vip to play the app for more then 10 minutes but besides that best app to teach you the piano ever super easy and fun so I recommend it but please can I not pay and still play for more then 10 minutes please just please get the app it is so fun and pretty easy to use so get the app try it if you don’t like it then delete it but it’s the best I wanted a hobby and I really wanted to play piano so I downloaded simply piano and found it was hard and you had to pay so I downloaded this and immediately fell in love with it so get it now and try it please and you will be really good at it because it makes it easy to play and helps you when you need it so get access the mic and start playing today now go do it seriously why are you still here just get it now ok this is getting ridiculous go shoo go get it and I be happy WHY ARE YOU STILL HERE

GREAT app with one very annoying bug. This app is great. I came to this app thinking there was no other app that can teach you in a fun way. But I got to the part where you start playing with your left hand. There is nothing wrong with how they are teaching you but sometimes I would play a key exactly when I am supposed to and on the the exact note but it would still say its wrong and I have to do the song over again because I got zero stars. Now I do not have a real piano. I have a electric piano with only 43 notes(its a Casio SA-76) so it does not sound like a real a grand piano but it is extremely close to the actually sound. Just with alot less bass. So I reccomend this app if you have ether a real piano or a very good sounding electronic piano but if you have something like me then you probably will have some trouble.

Good but... I enjoyed this game really much at first when I downloaded it. But when the practice time was over for each day, I got frustrated. Can you please make the time longer for people who don’t pay? I had to practice by myself after 10 mins of practicing online. It would mean a lot to me if you could make the time longer. About 20 mins would do. Thanks! Update: Sudden Glitching It all was well and I tried out premium, which is awesome. Then came the glitches. First, I finished one course and closed the app. The next day, I came on again and it all restart. I had to skip again to do the lesson and there’s another glitch where when you play a note during a lesson, it’s still black and the color doesn’t show up. I don’t know why there’s sudden glitching and I would love it if you could fix these bugs. Another star is gone.

Pretty good but a few mistakes.... Ok so I had a old key board because I uses to play piano but I never got very far so I was like hey let’s not waste the keyboard and learn how to play again. So I do some research and found this app. I downloaded the app and then it pops up that this app cost money and to be honest it’s a bit expensive. So now I’ve had this app for a few months now and I go back into the app and I find ALL of my progress is gone and I didn’t remember what level I was on so I had to go through it AGAIN. So if your looking to play piano I would probably say just go in person with a mask or do a zoom with a real person. And another thing is half of the time I would play note correctly and either they wouldn’t pick up or it would count me wrong this is not a super good app so if your looking to play piano I recommend going somewhere else because this is Not the best.

Great app in process. I’ve been playing around with app for a little over a week and I feel improvement on my skills already. There is of course room for improvement. First it would be good to be able to move more freely around the courses and have additional exercises to work around needed skills. Second, I think the note recognition fails a couple of times, as the note is being played and it marks as wrong, but I’m sure the app will get better as more people use it. Moreover, it would be really good to be able to move around the songs, so maybe be able to restart without having to leave the song and start all over, but go back to work on more difficult areas of the song, and even choose the speed while perfecting a theme. Finally, not sure if this is only my problem, but sometimes I find difficult to read the content, it’s quite small, specially when getting to the two hands level. Other than that I really feel that this app can help people go a long way playing piano.

The good and the bad (update). So let’s start with good. This app has been great for me! I’ve been wanting to play piano for awhile but for some reason I have never been able to. I got a piano now and I’ve done some homework. Learned how it works, where the notes are, what the pedals are for, etc. Well I couldn’t find a teacher (especially since the pandemic) so I settled for an app. A friend suggested this app and they say a lot of good things about it. He plays amazing and I hope to someday be in his level. So far, this app has taught me so much! I like the choices of songs and it pretty fun. Now the things that kinda annoys me is the note recognition. Its actually very annoying having the app tell you the notes are wrong even after checking finger position and everything. I would love some help or maybe someone to tell me what to do. Idk if it’s my iPad, the piano or the app. Might be the app, cause then why would I write this. Anyway I would very much appreciate it if someone would help. Thank you have a nice day ☺️. Update: Noooo now it won’t recognize ANY notes while playing in the songbook 😭. HELP WHY WONT IT WORK. Very easy & helpful :). This is the first time I've written a review for an app. I really love this one, I've always wanted to learn to play the piano and it takes you step by step from the beginning. You can tell the creators have put a lot of time and live into this app. I especially love that the entire program is currently free, which most apps only give you a lesson or two before making you pay x amount of money a month. I have one complaint about this app. I use the on screen keyboard and it's way too small, it's hard to correctly hit keys without insane accuracy. I do plan on getting a starter keyboard though, since I feel I have a strong understanding of the basics to continue with lessons. Thanks for the great lessons guys 😁😁

Great for someone that wants to learn. I love this app. I haven’t finished the whole thing yet or used the song book but I love it. I have an incredibly busy schedule and couldn’t afford a teacher. I kind of pretend that this app is my teacher and everyday I go to lessons. The personal instructor may be recorded but he helps me learn. I do suggest purchasing piano instruction books. My mother used some and they go through four levels. You only get about 10-15 minutes everyday of free practice time before it asks you to pay. The level books would be great for someone who wants to keep learning after you lesson with the app. Overall, the app is great.

Very good but needs improvement. The lack of note recognition issue by the app is a real problem and discouraging to a learner. Another very important problem is that the app should allow in app purchases for the sheet music. It is difficult for a beginner or learner to follow the notes as they speed across the screen. Yes, there is the practice mode, but that still does not give you the opportunity to study the music and see the repetition of notes, etc. It also does not allow you to stop without having to start all over again. It’s very difficult and frustrating when you can’t keep up even at 50% speed. You should provide a low-cost purchase of sheet music. If you have the sheet music, you can see the patterns that you miss when the music just moves past you. Please consider providing sheet music. Also, the training sessions should discuss finger movements and shifting positions more. Otherwise the app has been a very good alternative for home study. I have researched all the apps I could find and none provide sheet music, so this would be an important method of distinguishing your product. I assume there may be copyright issues, but you can already purchase or download different versions of the pieces on-line. They have to be exact to work with the app though.

best piano app!. okay to start this off, i don’t usually write reviews but i thought that this really just deserved one. i just want to say this app is so well created. if you had trouble finding an irl teacher, or piano app, i assure you this is the one. it would help to have prior music experience, especially when it comes to reading notes. but all is well, because they tell you every note, and breaks everything down into little videos, quizzes, games and playing tests! it’s everything you’ve ever wanted! best part is, the app listens to you play to check for accuracy, i don’t know what else anyone would want. the only downside i’d prolly have to say is that sometimes the app says the note is wrong/right when it actually isn’t. but most of the time it’s all good! anyway i hope this helps you download the app, ALSO last thing, everything is FREE! xx

Needs work but not horrible. I think this app has potential. Nice flow with videos and progressive lessons. But it can be frustrating at times. The biggest flaw is it being too fast for a beginner...once you reach intervals and using both hands. The problem I have is you have these training parts for songs that you can’t pause, or slow down and see what you keep missing. Instead you fight through it then redo it over and over again. Then once you feel good about that and move on to the actual song they throw in new notes and intervals you haven’t practiced for that song at full speed. Simply Piano does a much better job at training you on the parts for the “full song” you will play. If you miss too many notes it will rewind and play that section over for you. If you keep missing, it will take you into a practice mode that is slowed down and will pause on a missed note until you get it right. You can also pick the speed of the song...100%, 80% or 60%...which is incredibly helpful. The other problem is it doesn’t recognize every note you hit. So about 20% of correct notes and timing are not recognized and counts as a missed note. Like I said it has potential...and it is free compared to $120 annually with Simply Piano.

Might just be a me thing?. Overall its a decent piano app, though there are a few problems i’ve come across. For example on lesson 10, Left hand introductions, I played the correct notes every time, but it always registered it as the wrong note. I’ve also checked with the online keyboard they provide, and all the notes were correct. I’m not sure if thats just a bug that happened with me, or something. It used to work, but when i got to the Ode To Joy practice, it started happening. I’ve tried going back to old practices and songs, but it always registered wrong. I went back to the video, and it was the correct hand positioning. Im not sure if its just me, or if this is a problem other people experience, but this is one of the major issues i have at come across.

It was a lot better months ago. I first got this app around 6 or 7 months ago when I first decided to learn piano. It was great then and you could play many songs for free and whatever. But you could only go so far in the lessons before they wanted you to subscribe. Then I stopped playing for awhile till I checked in around 2 months ago, this is where everything went downhill. I came back to app after realizing how much I missed it 2 months ago like I had said. I quickly realized that almost every song was marked only for people who subscribed. Every single song I liked I could no longer play. I’m pretty Itsy Bistsy Spider was marked for people who subscribed as well. It’s terrible. I understand that they as a company need to make money somehow but I encourage that a subscription isn’t the best way to do it, especially if the plans aren’t that affordable for everyone. So listen to my idea, people who want to play a song have to watch an add per song. And like a couple ads at a time to unlock a lesson. This way the company can still make money. If someone is really truly fed up with all the ads they have to watch then they can pay for a subscription or something.

I love it!. I need more practice time though! I mean i get that that’s how you make your money but practicing 10 minutes a day really isn’t enough. I had to download a separate app to compensate. I really like this one though. I was wondering, maybe if you limited the time you had to progress, but you allowed people to practice the lessons they’ve already learned. That would allow us to practice longer, but it may seem a waste for some people because they can’t progress through the program, which could still get people to pay. Please read!. Piano Academy is awesome 🤩! I just got started and at the beginning I was super exited to play and get better at my piano skills. After the lesson “ What’ next?” The app started acting all weird like when I was trying to play the notes it told me to play. The first note I had to play was middle C. It said I was hitting F witch I knew was absolutely not F. I can play now because I ran out of lives. Here is my other problem. When the songbook became unlocked I scrolled and scrolled and scrolled and almost all of the songs were locked because I had to subscribe. I know that’s how you make money but I am just asking if you guys could unlock a couple more songs. And if you do, please make “Rise up by Andrea Day “ one of them because that is my favorite song and I got upset when I saw l had to subscribe. Please fix this.😢

Good needs improvement. At first I was learning piano easily and at a fast rate. Then when I reach about level 20 the app is having trouble listening to my piano. I would play a correct note and it said it was wrong. It would leave me with 2 stars when I should’ve had 3 stars. I really enjoy the app the only other thing is that I feel that you should more free practice time. Maybe 20 minutes are so. With 10 minutes a day you can’t learn a lot. Paying for the app isn’t worth it for me because I am super busy I can only play for a max 30 minutes a day. Thank you for your understanding.

Great app, but I have a few suggestions. Hi, as a student I wanted to learn to play piano. During quarantine I decided why not, the app itself is amazing I’m sure you could learn a lot just by playing it once a day. Now you see that’s when the problem comes in. You can only play the academy once a day, and that’s horrible for a student like me during quarantine. I just suggest making the free academy like 10-15 minutes instead of eight, because a lot of that time is just wasted on videos which are pretty long. Also I suggest you rather sponsor somebody but make the academy time bigger. Try to fix some glitches too. Thank you very much

Needs a lot of improvement. I was excited about this for about the first ten lessons. I thought it was a great app for beginners because they ease you into music theory and proper technique. The mini bird game is a great feature to get you to practice sight reading. The quizzes are also helpful with learning more about music. They jump right into recognizable and even some contemporary music to get you excited to practice. Piano Academy is promising, but there are a few missing features and frustrating things that won’t be making me subscribe. The main issue for me is that once you get further in, you’re thrown straight into changing hand positions without being eased into it. So your learning progress slows by a lot. A related problem is that you can’t practice sections first. There’s no option to scroll to specific measures of a song if you’re having trouble with just certain parts. You have to just play through the whole thing. The slow and fast training options aren’t really as useful as being able to practice by sections first. Piano Academy also has more note recognition issues than other apps I’ve tried even when I used headphones. Probably would need a midi connector to fix this.

good app but it was better before. i downloaded this app a while ago and then uninstalled it. a couple of weeks ago, i reinstalled it and found that it wasn’t at all the same. half of the songs in the songbook that i used to be able to play(including every single one of the hard level songs)now have to be paid for. and the price for subscription is insane. some songs like Part of Your World and Thunder i know for a fact were free because i played them frequently. now i have to pay for them. please fix this soon in an update or something. other than this, great app, i have learned so much more than i thought i would and it has really piqued my interest for playing piano.

Nice app for beginners. Would have given 5 stars, but have one complaint about the hands on lessons. When going through the exercises it would be very useful to have the ability to pause the music where you are making a mistake or having a problem reading the music. I play several instruments, but have not done much on the bass clef nor having to look at the treble and bass simultaneously. It is extremely frustrating to not be able to stop the scroll of the music so I can clarify the notes and get the rhythm correct. Then when you want to try again you have to start from the very beginning every time. Other than that it is a pretty nice app.

Great piano learning app. Update: for those having note recognition issues, use headphones. You can still hear the piano but the accompaniment music doesn't interfere with the microphones picking up played piano notes. Had zero issues with software hearing notes this way. I’m a 53 yr old newbie to piano (I play tuba but doesn’t fit well with other family instruments). I’ve dinked around with piano through the years but want to play cord pads mainly on keyboard with family that plays piano or guitar. I need to get some note learning and muscle memory working in my favor to be something other than an embarrassment. I have a long road ahead but I’m having fun blasting through the lessens. At first it felt a bit kid oriented however that soon changed after the first few lessens. Love that the app works with MIDI - I’m practicing at midnight with headphones! I’d never be able to learn on a regular piano with my and my family’s schedule. Thank you for including MIDI! My goal is to play a few (up to six) songs with family after one year for church. My goal is to not miss more than 30 days out of a year of practice. I’m excited to see where this app will take me!! So far it’s about right, however it’s wise to go ever some songs several times before moving on, which you can do by pressing the back button before the practice song ends (saves a little time from having to go through the reward screen. I’ll update my review further after more lessens are completed.

Good Before Update. All the lessons are simple and easy to understand and I recommend it to any beginner who is struggling to learn. I stopped practicing for awhile because I was busy with other things. When I came back to start on my lessons again, I saw it has to be updated. So I did. And I regret it. I never had any problems with this app until now. It's extremely frustrating because the app doesn't read the notes correctly! When you press a key it's supossed to respond and correct or wrong. Now, it's not reading any of the keys I'm pressing even though it's correct. It made me upset thinking I was messing up and I was disappointed in myself then to come to a realization that i'm not messing up and it's Piano Academy. It's disappointing because I loved this app and I wanted to continue learning how to become a pianist. It hasn't given me problems until now. This was the only app that I could find that wouldn't charge me 100$ to continue my lessons. I was so happy when I found it. Now, I'm having problems. I don't want top have to look for another app. I'm not in school so I can't get lessons there, I don't know how to self teach myself to play, and I don't have the money to pay for extra lessons. I'm struggling as it is. Hopefully this isn't bothersome. I have low self esteem and anxiety and playing made me happy, now I just want to sleep my disappointment off. Thank you anyway

Awesome but one thing. This is the best game ever iam learning how to do piano lessons again it’s so awesome it’s the best game ever but there is a limit to how long you can play and I wanna learn all day of piano lessons but I can’t because it has a ten time limit to it so I can’t play with it all day but other than that it’s awsome I love it so much super fun I think other kids would like it to there is a premium and that’s how you get more time but what if we don’t have enough money we would have to do ten minutes every day and some people wanna learn all day I think you should add more time for the others

Great app but... I love this app, it’s one of the most well structured I have seen out of the learning apps. BUT... it’s sad for those who are less fortunate like myself that I am so limited on what I can do without paying. I’m a mother of four trying to finally do something for myself by learning to play piano. This time we are in now with COVID-19 we are stuck inside and I was losing myself. Now more than ever I definitely can’t afford to pay for an app, as it was hard to come up with the money for the keyboard. I understand app development and licensing is expensive, but give those like me a way to earn their way to premium (ads, daily login, advertising, etc) Great job developing this for those who are beginners to piano.

Great but... I really like this, even though there is a premium membership, You could still do piano lessons! I really recommend this but I have one so one time I wanted to practice my piano but it wouldn’t let me go on the app it will just shut down and even though I keep trying and trying exiting the page again and again it’s still won’t work so if you could fix this this one that will help me a lot but Also i have one problem.. so i was playing on my keyboard but it wouldn’t here what i was playing (i have my microphone on) my keyboard volume was at the highest setting. So yeah if you would fix those two things that would be great but anyways I’m only nine and this helps me a lot! :) (Would recommend)

Cool app, needs improvement. I pay for this app and it’s not cheap! I probably won’t renew because there are some things that need to be improved. For instance, it reads the notes incorrectly much of the time so it would be nice to have a function in the settings where instead of using my microphone, the app connects with my digital piano through bluetooth and reads the notes that I’m actually pressing (this way I can also leave my piano volume down if I choose). Also, if I am paying for the premium version of this app, I should have access to full sheet music. You cannot repeatedly practice the harder pieces as scrolling notes. You just can’t. Give me sheet music or give me the ability to scroll through the upcoming notes in the pause screen. Lastly, I will have completed an entire lesson section and the next day it shows incomplete because somehow it doesn’t register that I’ve already watched the lesson video? It’s not that big of a deal because I can still progress forward, but again if I am paying so much for the app I expect it to work. I’m sure that small problem can be fixed with a simple update though! Overall, the app has certainly been helpful in sight reading practice and teaching me new songs, and even some stuff my piano teacher glosses over :-) I enjoy the songbook portion too.

This really works.. I have had professional piano lessons before and it was just a waste of money because the instructor never explained any of the vital information such as key structures or finger placement. This app is surprisingly easy to understand and the instructor is condescending when you get something wrong. It’s simple just to rewatch what he said and try again without judgment. I think for a smart phone app, this pretty advanced and encouraging. I do wish the keys were a little bit larger on the screen but I am doing pretty good for not playing in over a decade. Price isn’t bad either considering the cost of live and in person instruction ranging in the hundreds of dollars.

It’s changed, and I don’t like it.. Piano Academy has changed because of the Premium Pack. I cannot learn ANYTHING!!! I want to know, can you guys at least leave SOME lessons without premium? Piano academy. I liked the app at first and I liked it. I had played piano before, but because of the coronavirus, my lessons got cancelled. So I have been looking for a app to teach me. I used to have simply piano, but then I quit and when I asked my mom to pay for it again, she said it took away too much of her money. So I have been on a quest to find another piano app. I saw ads for all different piano apps, and they all wanted me to pay money to learn, so I tried this one. I was playing pretty good, but it was all beginner stuff that i had already played, and even though I told the app I have played before, I gave me easy things. When I got to the song perfect, I was about to play the first note C. So I played a C and it paused. It was not connecting. I was trying to play a C and it wouldn’t work. I tried so many times and it wouldn’t work. The app is also constantly trying to make me pay for it, even though I keep saying no. I just downloaded this app, and I am now about to delete it. I highly recommend no one to use this app.

Omg I love this app. I tried other Piano apps (like that terrible Joy one) and this one is awesome! The lessons are simple, ordered well, and focused on getting you to play songs you know as quickly as possible, even when you only play 3 notes. The app works great—no awkward “practice” modes when you don’t get things perfectly right. You just replay the songs over again as many times as you need. It’s easy to navigate so that both my son and I can go at our own paces. (Although I just put this on his iPad so he’ll stop using mine.) I’m addicted to this app, and super excited about learning piano this way. And it’s free, which is amazing. I sound like I got paid to write this (not true), and I would totally pay for this app.

Great at first. I started using this app almost a month ago with absolutely zero experience. It has been fantastic learning from square one with a gamified experience that gradually gets more like reading real sheet music as you progress. I subscribed after a few hours and had no regrets until recently. I really only have one gripe - that you cannot redo certain sections of the songs. I am forced to pause - restart and wait for the section I am working on to come up. If I am lucky the section fits on one screen and I can pause it and just work on it while paused or take a picture with my phone. It is especially frustrating when the instructor has a small speech at the beginning, forcing you to hear his spiel over and over again before the music even starts scrolling. All I want to do is rewind but I cannot. Early on I mastered the songs fast enough to not care so much but it takes longer and longer to master the songs as they get longer and more complex which means restarting a lot more. I cannot continue so inefficiently... I really feel invested in the app (not just monetarily) and want to use it.. but I’m done and moving to flowkey which lets you loop any section you want to work on.

Needs to be fixed right now! 😡😞😒☹️😣😖😟😔😫😭. This is a horrible app! It can’t hear my piano and I’m literally pressing my keys so hard! And I think that you should take it more slowly, like , I mean step by step. If you know what I mean. I know it has lots of songs, but literally like all of them are member only songs! I don’t know any songs provided and I can’t enjoy playing a song I don’t even know the lyrics too! I doubt that anyone will like this, no offense, but please just add more not member only songs in the song book! The only thing that is good is that the courses are free, unlike other piano apps (Simply Piano and Pianify e.g). 10 minutes a day is not enough. I really enjoying the app, i think it’s guidance and has helped me learn a lot. However 10 minutes is definitely not enough. I get warmed up to the piano but by then I’ve already used my 10 minutes. Would be 5 stars if it had 30 or atleast 20 minutes of free time.

Piano academy/Simply Piano. I think this program is an absolutely wonderful app that can teach you how to play piano in an amazing way!! And I have the other app too as well , these apps are amazingly good to play piano and I have a piano teacher that can teach me piano. To me it’s basically saying that I have 3 apps now including my piano teacher! When I started piano, I learned a bit of my mum. Just middle C. Then I saw these fantastic apps and I asked my mum if she could get them for me and I have being playing piano for 1 year now. Great... but. This app is great. I bought it to help my daughter and have been learning myself. The only problem I have encountered thus far is the relative lack of guidance/direction once you get to Intermediate level. For example, I’m now being asked to move my hands on the keyboard but there is no video showing how to do this. It does seem like they started off really well (a lot of instruction) and then just “stopped”, and provided practice sheets /music only. (?)

Rarely picks up C. I’m just starting and it rarely picks up C when I play it so I have to turn up the volume of my keyboard to uncomfortable levels so the app registers it if I don’t, I wide range from 5-102 presses of the C key are required to register ONE press(yes I counted how many) please fix this

It is a great app buttt. The only problem is the you have 10 minutes of practice so I would like the 10 minute practising to stop bc I would give it a five stars but not until they stop the 10 minute practice first I don’t think it’s enough time and don’t Forget do you have to wait one hour practice again what the heck is wrong but anything else this is a really good app no hate ❤️

Great app just some glitches. Great app, got plenty of progress and can sight read easy songs. Only complaint is that every time I play certain chords it just doesn’t register. For example, it sometimes recognises the F and A min chords, but most of the time just doesn’t recognise it. This makes playing the songs that are all chords nearly impossible. Besides this I have no complaints and would recommend to anyone.

TERRIBLE APP. I downloaded this app so I could practice reading sheet music and learn to play songs I liked. It looked like it would give me access to heaps of popular songs, and help improve my playing. This is NOT the case. I DID NOT THINK YOU WOULD HAVE TO SUBSCRIBE TO GET ACCESS TO BARELY ANY SONGS. Basically, this app teaches you the basics of piano playing, and once you’re interested and want to play, you can’t because you have to subscribe to be able to access the song library **THIS HARDLY INCLUDES ANY POPULAR SONGS!*** This app was a massive waste of time. I thought it would be better than other piano apps because you wouldn’t have to pay, but I guess it’s just as bad as the rest of them. If you don’t want to waste your time and money, DONT DOWNLOAD. I love playing piano, but this app took advantage of my passion just to get me to pay! What a waste of time.

Decent tutorials but I was disappointed…. So, I’ve had this app for a while now, but haven’t had the chance to use it until today. I was just getting into the jist of it and all of the sudden it just asks me to pay to spend more time on the app or wait for over 5 hours. I downloaded this thinking it would be an easy way to do better in my music classes but was disappointed with another app asking for money. Can’t there at least be some sort of function where you can use just the keyboard without the tutorials and not have to wait for the timer for learning time to finish?

No access to Premium after subscription. Please respond.. I subscribed to the premium plan on July 1, 2020. After having access to it for a few days, I am now not able to use it anymore. This is the third day I am not able to use it. I have written an email to support and has not hear from you. Please reply to us ASAP as we paid for the monthly subscription.

I have been leaning to play the piano for a long time now and I just could not find the right app then I found this app last year and I thought it was great but then I stoped and I got the app again but this time it waa not as good because you have to pay just to have some lessons and like the song book so now I have a different app that I now have and really like!

Mmmm...😐. Well I suppose this app is ok, but it is super annoying that you have to have a actual piano/keyboard to use this app! Also the videos are super annoying, and they go for way to long. The narrator is over thinking the publics time, as lots of people who want to learn piano don’t have the time to learn about Every Single Key! Anyway I hope this feedback helped.

Fine. Hi! I just downloaded your app because I wanted to learn how to play the five nights at freddys’ theme song. But I find it VERY stupid that you have to be a premium to actually learn piano. Some kids parents, like mine, cannot afford to get premium for me. And the adults that are learning for themselves do not want to get premium because of bills, they might have kids of their own they have to buy stuff for, sorry, but it’s just stupid. Please think about what I’ve said so you can make this app better. Thankyou!

Also, if you do the calculations, which I have you will find that Simply Piano is worth it much more than getting premium of this. Simply piano has learning features n more. Good learning app but needs some changes. I’ve used it for 2 days just buying a keyboard and I can recognise the first 5 music notes on sheet music. Though I do wish that you could extend the non premium learning time to 30 minutes if not then 20 because in my opinion 10 minutes a day is not enough when I get warmed up bam I can’t continue. But other than that no complaints

Pls respond creator!. This app was working perfectly on the same keyboard yesterday and when I tried to play it today it said it didn't recognise the keyboard. I didn't change any settings or anything. Also, if you're not planning to pay for premium. Without it, you only get to play for 10 minutes per day! Also you can't play ANY songs without paying. Very disappointed. :(

Creators please read. Overall this app is amazing and really helped my piano skills over a short period of time however the app marks me right even when I know it is completely wrong and same for the opposite. I really recommend this app to people who are dying to want to learn piano

Great app. I started out not knowing how to read music or play and now I can do both I still need to practice doing each of them but I am getting there. Only thing I think they should add is instead of always having the notes come to the bar and you play them then, make a real music sheet with the whole song and I have to follow the rhythm and practice doing the rest etc...

Ok app. So someone in my family plays the piano and once I got to the lesson we’re to play with your left hand it was wrong it was teaching me to play the c note with my pinky when you play it with your thumb. So if you are going to teach someone to play the piano with an app, make the app teach you right.

HORRIBLE APP!!!!. This app is horrible. You basically have to get premium because you can only practice ten minutes a day. I got to lesson 11 and it refreshed all my work! Uh im so mad! I would like to give a zero but thats not possible so I give you a one.

Good app, practice mode could have more features. I absolutely love this app. I prefer it over simply piano as you do NOT have to pay. Instead, you get around 10 minutes to use this app per day. If you want to practice for more than 10 minutes then you pay. In simply piano, you get one lesson and then you have to pay to continue using the app at all. For the people struggling with left handed, they just have an incorrect hand position. I only have one issue with the app, I feel in practice mode you should add an option to start at the measure before you messed up, so you dont have to restart the song to fix a mistake.

Piano Academy. I also have a piano in my basement. When I play my piano, I always learn how to practice other songs.I have piano on my iPad on the apps too. I can actually practice really good when I have Piano Academy. I can learn more notes on this app and unlock some of these songs I can do. I also play Wings of Song. I can play any other instruments like the guitar, the bass, and the harp. When I was on Piano, I was doing a lot of composers like Beethoven,Yiruma,Tchaikovsky,Mozart,Chopin,Brahms,and everything. I shall play it on my book again when I do well at playing.

Doesn’t work. I use my digital keyboard but half the time the app is telling me I’ve played something wrong when I haven’t and it’s really frustrating because the red is really annoying to see while I’m trying to learn. I asked support for help and they were completely useless. Also don’t pay for a whole years subscription. It’s so unnecessary.

Doesn’t work properly. I’m on level 8 and I know im hitting the notes right. The app doesn’t listen for certain keys (F, G, C, D) Please fix it. Since it doesn’t listen I keep having to redo the same lesson over and over. And why is literally every song in the songbook premium? Oh and I think you should also get rid of 10 minute practice time again if you’re not premium. -Thanks

Piano Academy. I like it and it’s better then simply piano but I wasn’t even touching the keyboard but it said I was right? And I was playing middle C and every other time is said I was right but when I was playing it again it said I wasn’t right. But I still love it and it’s WAY better then simply piano. also it’s helpful bc I got a piano for my birthday yesterday

I love it but.... I have tried plenty of piano apps because I am eager to learn another instrument. I already knew a few things prior to this app and it is slightly annoying when all of the next levels are locked and it uses up my daily 15 minutes on things I already know. Also, one of my main problems is that sometimes it doesn’t remember my progress, so I have to start the lesson completely over. This makes it really hard to learn more. But overall, it is a great app and you can still learn without making a payment.

HAVE THE APP LISTEN. I know I’m a bit young to write this but my age should not change this fact. When I am stressed I like to go to my room and relax and play my 10 free minutes of playing. But I’m not relaxed when I have to replay so many songs and practices because the app can not tell what more I’m playing. I have pausing in the middle of songs to make sure that my hand are playing the right notes in the right spots and they are but the app can not tell. I would like whomever made this to make sure that the people playing are happy and satisfied with the quality of the app. This app is making me dislike playing the piano which is one of my favorite things to do.

I can do it! (Can’t play with R hand). Wow… I heard a story about a man that had an accident in a war and taught himself piano with one hand(grenade blast). I can only use my left hand(have fine motor issues with my right hand). And playing on this app with the lessons really inspired me to play more!!! Andwhen I get a keyboard the app can follow along tto me playing since it can sync like that. Wow. This changes my outlook on life and what I can accomplish. I will definitely get a piano keyboard to practice with this app.

This I would pay munny for 💵. Ok, I got a piano, so I searched for some piano games (I didn’t want simply piano cuz they have so many annoying ads and this was next on the list) the reason I would pay moola for this app is cuz they take you step by step thru the process of playing piano and instead of making you pay for a subscription after the first level they let either pay for the subscription or take one class a day, which I love (although I got the subscription 😂)

7yo is teaching himself with Piano Academy. My nearly 7yo son expressed an interest in piano when we inherited my family’s old spinet. I found Piano Academy in the App Store, and figured he could try it out before we committed to expensive lessons. He LOVES the app, and he’s making amazing progress working through the levels and trying for three stars. My wife and I are blown away, and can’t believe how much he’s learned with “only” the Piano Academy guide him. I rarely rate apps, let alone leave reviews. Our extremely positive experience has made it worthy of the effort.

Hey low. I was looking everywhere for this game not in specifically but I wanted a game that would you know let me play for free like that would actually help I have learned so many songs just in the past like two days probably but I mean I’ve already play piano so but I highly suggest is for new piano players because piano is really fun and everyone should be able to play it nice I will be the second I think there’s a little piano you guys can play on if you don’t have a piano it’s just like a single one I don’t actually know.

A bit disappointing. Okay I have a few things to say. The app makes me put the keyboard volume to almost as loud as it can go just for it to hear the notes. And you have to pay to play other songs that aren’t in your lesson and to have more time to practice. I played in pre-k to 11 years old and then I came back to it after a few years but it sent me to learn the beginning notes again. But during the lessons it does give you lots of songs with the notes your playing.

Great app. I am tired my friends taught me little pieces of songs but I really wanted to know I was searching and searching for apps and I decided to try it out so I downloaded it. I soon as it got started I thought very comfortable and they showed me the basics of piano right from the beginning you don’t need anything not even a real piano you don’t need to know anything about Piano you just need yourself and the ability to focus. I definitely recommend and is helping me and if I get something wrong it makes me want to try to do it right. Please get this app it’s amazing!

Its a good app. So this app wanted me to actually like go and play my piano. before I barely played it. until my parents started making me practice every day. After a year of this app, I decided i didn’t really want to learn piano and instead wanted to pick up a guitar. For Christmas i got a guitar and my mom canceled the premium. The bad part is, i still like to play it sometimes, but now i can’t play for more that 10 MINUTES! AND a lot of songs are locked because there “premium”. Like at least make the practice time for 30-45 minutes!

the best app that i have use so far. OMG this is the best app that I have ever used to learn piano. O don’t pay for the app, but since I have a really busy schedule, and sometimes barely play the piano during days, I love that it’s 10 min daily. Sometimes I would always want to learn more piano but the environment of the app is the best. I absolutely love this app. Unlike simply piano (I don’t really like the app) it continues playing until u get it. But simply piano can only limit u to lessons until u pay. I totally recommend this to people who are starting to learn the piano. 😍😍😍 luv it

Excellent App!. So the other apps I downloaded weren’t really helpful, and when I saw this app, I downloaded it with a bunch of other apps. Some were charging me money and weren’t helpful but when I tried this app, it was PERFECT! The lessons are so helpful. Plus, they have 10 min practice for like everyday so you don’t get glued to the screen all day. I’m still a beginner, but I’m learning so fast! I love this app so much and I hope there are new stuff everyday!

Great game but too expensive. So I just learned how to play the piano and this is the best app that i’ve had so far, but It is really expensive. Its nice that they give you 10 mins each day to practice the piano on the app but it really isn’t that much time. If I had any suggestions I would ask to make the practice time longer, make the subscription cheaper or at least put sales on the subscription every once in a while. Otherwise this is a great piano lesson game and I would recommend it.

Not What I thought. This app is wonderful, it actually teaches you piano even if you don't want to pay for the premium. I have learned many skills and this is not the free piano app that I thought it was. Unlike other piano apps you actually learn more that three note without having to pay, even though I wish they gave you more that ten minutes of free practice time this app is amazing.

Favorite piano app so far. Love this app, been using it a couple days, I HIGHLY recommend it considering it’s free while I’m writing this, it listens to your keyboard or piano very responsively. Teaches all the basics, and much more. New to keyboard myself, and it’s definitely helping me excel in just this short time. Much better than other piano apps that I’ve used. Definitely give it a go if you’re a newbie or experienced, definitely a beneficial and easy to use app, and teaches you quickly!

Very good!. I have been trying to find an app that doesn’t make you pay for songs and this app makes you pay for more time not songs! I really like this app because of all the songs and the app makes playing piano as easy as eating I have never played piano better there is no feedback I have I love that it has letters and not 123 and there are breaks to teach you some stuff!! I will be using this app forever and my siblings also love it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Doesn’t work most of the time when I play on an actual piano. I’ve played piano for a long time, and decided to give this app a try. It claims it will work if you play on a different piano. I’ve found it to be extremely finicky. Most notes it will pick up, but there are times it will mark every note as wrong because it couldn’t detect it. These aren’t difficult songs either, they’re listed as beginner, and still can’t detect it.

Great but needs improvement. This app has many features that sets it apart from others and it’s FREE for right now, which I love because I can’t afford subscriptions. However, the microphone on the app isn’t picking up sound from my keyboard (my notes are played correctly) and it’s making it hard for me to pass certain levels. Also, I’m an intermediate piano player and it doesn’t have an option for more experienced players. If you could fix these things, that would be great! Thanks ;)

This game made me the best piano player in the world so this is the best game ever I wouldn’t have ever been the best piano playerIf I didn’t have this game so therefore this game is the best I love all of the most fun things about it I even get to learn piano it gives you a lesson and it’s fun but I tried to learn piano by myself but that didn’t work So when I saw the ad for this game I was like maybe this will work and then it did so thank you for this game it helps me every single day and oh my piano lessons I get all of them right so thank you and goodbye

Great app!. I’ve been using this app for about three to four months and I would say I have improved thoroughly. Yes, only ten minutes a day can be a pain. As soon as I payed for it I was practicing for almost two hours a day. Before I practiced for about half and hour. I enjoyed playing piano, it helps me let off stress and anxiety I have from outside of my home. This app has been of great help toward me playing the piano. I believe it is worthy of being laudable. I hope they will improve the songbook along with adding new songs to keep up with pop culture, and just trying to make it better!

Great at first, but now.... This app is great. I would highly recommend it to people who are starting to play the piano. This morning I started playing the piano with my left hand and my right hand. It was going great. But in the afternoon, I went to play again, ( and I was playing the right notes with my left hand ) the app was marking the notes in red, which means that I was doing the notes wrong! But I wasn’t. So if the people that made this app could please respond to this message and tell me what’s going on, I would appreciate it. That’s all I’m gonna say, other than that, it’s a great app.

Good but definitely needs improvement. This app is cool except for two things that are EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING AND DISAPPOINTING. First of all, before downloading this app I already had a background with piano, so I was planning on skipping the first easy lessons because I already learned what is on them, the problem is YOU CANT SKIP A SONGLE LESSON. Second of all, the note recognition is terrible. I have too many problems with it. I can’t get past a lesson because it is terrible at detecting what note I am playing, therefore the app counts it as wrong, even if it was correctly played. Pleasseee fix these mistakes! Apart from that, the app is great, but these to problem have made me lower the rating of this app to a 2 stars!!

OMG. This app is Great simple piano did Not have me learn within minutes but this app did have me learn easy for example: it shows me what note to press , It stops when you mess up notes when you progress further into the lessons you unlock a new note so this doesn’t happen I stick with the note that stops when I mess up if you select this note you’re sure to always get garenteed to always get three stars.

This app is great. My BIGGEST dream was to learn the piano and I can finally lean to play it. The best app ever. Lately I’ve been looking for a hobby to do and I found this on an ad and it’s helped me learn how to play the piano and it is very fun and I like about it is I don’t have a piano but I do but it lets you use the virtual keyboard on it and it’s just really been helping me I’m going to use my grandma’s keyboard because she has a piano and a keyboard and so I’m gonna use that and it just really helps me you can you can take the free trial but they do have songs that you can play without having to pay so I like that and so yeah it’s the best app in the world

Everything. So when I saw the ads for this game I thought I should try it so I download it and then I found out that you only get 8 minutes of daily practice time. So I’m in the middle of playing the game and then it just kicks me off saying my practice time is over. So I have to wait 24 hours to resume that lesson! Another issue is that when you go to the song book and you click intermediate you play you have no clue what your learning. Thanks for reading bye!

So I download it and it’s super awesome and I learn every single now and it’s good it’s awesome that you got the best levels and you can play all your favorite song even worse than VIP add when you can my favorite part is when you step ladder actually complete them all and go to the next and ask and ask and ask and let’s and completely amazing I really love this I’m gonna play that forever it’s amazing learning that thank you for reading my brother

Erases progress. This app is great at helping me learn piano. My skills improve quickly and I really enjoy using it. Its biggest flaw is that it constantly erases my progress whenever I close the app. If I stop in the middle of a lesson I have to start all over to move on. This is especially frustrating if you are not using the paid version of the app as you only have a limited time to practice, then it makes you start over each day. I’m currently using the free trial and don’t think I can rationalize paying for the app when it ends because of this flaw.

This app is amazing. Even though you have to pay it is worth it and you will get a lot of lessons out of it. This is the perfect app for you to try if you are in to music and you want to learn how to play the piano. This app allows you to learn and have fun. You can also pick a song to play by your self. This app also allows you to connect your piano to your app on your device and play on your piano or play the piano on your device screen. This is why I love this app.

Better than Simply Piano. When I wanted to learn the keyboard, I downloaded Simply Piano bit it didn’t help me at all, so I moved on to this app and I love it!!! It made music into my life and improved my piano skills and a real teacher that teaches me!! But one tiny problem, you only get 20 minutes for free and it’s kinda not fair because I want to learn and play nonstop but I need to pay for it (well my parents) and but if you think about it... it kinda is fair at the same time because it makes a bookmark and you can play later and start where you were at!! Logged me out. Hello! I loved this app and it helped me progress playing the keyboard however there was an error that occurred where the app logged me out. I tried signing back in through google and Iphone log in but a notification popped up saying i could not log back in. I tried playing a song while not being signed in to my account, and the next day my progress was not saved. This would not allow me to progress further, and it is quite unfortunate that this is an issue. Thank you.

Good, but some problems.... I downloaded this app with high hopes, and lucky for me you don’t have to pay for anything. It’s great teaching, and I know every review says this, but the app is REALLY hard at hearing. Especially the low notes, with I know the low notes tend to be a little quieter, but that doesn’t dismiss the fact that it still doesn’t hear too well. I understand that you could turn you volume up if your piano is electric (mine is) but I worry about disturbing my family members. Other than that, this app is amazing for beginning piano players.

Great app. THIS is amazing this has helped me so much I think this will help you guys too so download this!! but I think it needs a improvement. I think that it needs to have daily challenges or something to make it more interesting!!! And I wish you can play so many different songs and my parents said when I get my Elric piano they will PAY!! Very fun. Very fun but it needs a lot more than the levels but the new version I should not use it now I can’t even play it because it gets annoying when I try to open the game and it won’t load the way I want it to But hey I’m still using it to take my time and my life I was thinking about it and I cannot get it to work sometimes I can work it out but it seems to not happen so I’m not really excited that it was a big thing and that it was so hard I got to spend my whole week doing work

This app is free and will teach you everything you need to know to become a professional! 100% recommend

Great! Until the latest update. Before the update everything was free and I actually got to learn a lot of things and I’m a decent pianist because of this app. But here’s the problem in the latest update things weren’t free anymore my progress was there I just couldn’t progress without premium. I chose this app because it was free, but this update really messed things up for me. I don’t have time to get a piano teacher and I don’t have a credit card so I guess for now I can’t play piano. Not a good move. But still a great and very helpful app, for anyone who can buy premium I think it would be worth it!

Wish i could do one star. I don't really want to be a hater or like a Karen costumer٫ but this game is impossible to learn anything from. The audio and mic quality is most of where my complaints are coming from. Every time i try to play a lesson٫ i press a key on my piano and the game doesn't even pick up the note. At first i thought it was my volume. So i turned it up to max level and STILL. And it also keeps throwing millions of notifications at me. Im having too much trouble with this game٫ so i have no choice but to uninstall. Im sorry to the owner of this app٫ but if you added some updates i would totally be satifyed. Im sorry٫ but its just not a good app.

This is a good app. Only in two seconds I learned middle CEND And you can add one song and under a day it only takes a couple seconds I need to do is download the app and I’ll teach you how to play a song and it also stops when you don’t know which note to play it shows you watch notes to play and it’s really fun all together this is getting me addicted to keyboard to be honest I thought playing piano would be harder with an app honestly it’s very easy with this app you should try it out yourself.

READ BEFORE GETTING THIS APP PLS!!!!!!. This app is AMAZING for beginners and it is very clear and understandable. One thing though that I noticed very early after I got this app is that is does listen to you and hears you but sometimes it decides not to hear you play even after you've played the note MANY times. I also noticed that if you play a note a second early it pauses and waits for you to correct yourself٫ back to the first problem. Overall this app is very good for beginner piano players just be prepared for all the pauses and stuff.

Not challenging, but maybe good for beginners.. The app concept is good. But I have to say, the notes aren’t creative/artistic at all. It’s something I can figure out how to play by myself without having to read the notes. I also have a suggestion: to let others skip to the sections they want to play in each song to save time (mainly practice). It doesn’t really fuel my passion for playing piano, that’s for sure. The singing voices aren’t bad also, but some of them are cringe to the ear. So maybe let the pianist choose from selective voices to feel like they can connect with the song.

This app is amazing but it needs a little more. I really love this. But I need some little touchups I play the app for free and doesn’t and I don’t do the trial thing and it gives me 10 minutes to play on it which really stinks because I think you should play piano for free and you don’t need to learn how to do skill just to pay for it if the app makers are reading this please give us more time to learn the piano I hate that I have to wait seven hours to play again even this app is way better than others it’s amazing!

This app is so frustrating. This game in the beginning with the right hand was so easy and fun, but after taught me how to do the left-hand it did not teach me what notes the left hand was with the clef thing. It was so frustrating because even if I was playing the right notes it would count it wrong. And vice a versa. I’ve had so many breakdowns because of this I’ve cried so many times just because I’m frustrating it is to get it wrong but it not to you what the notes are. And I’m good with my right hand but the left hand is so hard because I do not teach you WHAT THE NOTES ARE!!!!!

Just a few complaints- otherwise I loveee it. Honestly I really love the app, however I found at points i would be playing the correct note but it would automatically count me wrong for whatever reason. I also found that I sped through the current 23 lessons pretty quickly and am kind of disappointed to see that I have to wait for the rest. I understand that it’s difficult to produce lessons fast, all I am saying is that maybe add other songs to play by choice, so then we could get the practice and have fun with some of our favorite songs. That’s about all I found wrong, otherwise I love the app and it’s great as a beginner pianist.

Kinda money based 😬. To start off, I do love this app. It’s just that the premium is required for so many things and this is the only free piano learning app I could find out there. The 10 minutes go by pretty fast too and I just love this app so would it be possible if you could add time to the free lessons? Your app teaches me a lot about the piano and I really appreciate the time and effort you put into it. Oh, and also adding to the free part, there are little songs that don’t need premium so if you could change that too it would be great. Anyways, still keeping the app. Thank you.

Needs feature to override note match. I’m not sure if it’s better to have a great feature that doesn’t work well or not have the feature at all. I love the app, but the fact that the note recognition feature doesn’t work well makes it difficult when you’re trying to advance to the next lesson but the app won’t let you because it thinks you got all the notes wrong. Over and over again. There should be a function to turn off the lock that doesn’t allow you to advance unless the app recognizes all the notes correctly, because it doesn’t.

Playing on break ok. I got this app off a add it is ok I am 11 and I have been playing for 3-5 years and with Corona and moving I haven’t been able to play that often I do know I have bad static so that might be why but I know I am playing the wright notes when it counts me wrong sometimes I make a mistake but most of the time I do not I would have also gave it a 2 star but I consider being a nice girl I also don’t like how it is so delayed and sometimes it counts me wright when I haven’t even hit a note the last thing I do not like is that without paying you can only play for 10min and after you only get to play songs from your song book. To wrap up this is not the best thing but it might help during quarantine

I am learning piano each day. OK so I’ve got this piano Academy app like yesterday and now I’m good at it but one thing that that line is going super fast and I can’t catch up with it can you make it go a little slower as an update and I love this app so much I would want to like play piano each day as I get to so before School because the app is just super fun the app is super fun I wish I could give you like 10 stars on the app or I would say 10 billion stars but please can you reply to what I’m saying this app is teaching me teaching me teaching me I love love love love the app

There’s a small bug here. Sooo... I love this app and all, without it I would be legit lost, but the app’s crashing in the middle of me playing, and lessons I’ve already done just... appears as if I haven’t done it, it’s also happening with the songs, the songs appear 0 stars when I’ve already done them, the app crashed right now, and when I went in again it appeared as if I hadn’t done the training, when I had done the training, the song, and was already in another song, please fix this, it’s driving me crazy. Otherwise it’s an AMAZING app.
