Terrible Customer Service. Don’t try and order on the app and get what you ordered. Waited in long drive-thru line only to be told they had run out of chicken sandwiches 20 minutes prior (we had ordered 45 minutes earlier). None of our food was ready. Then they had no lemonade. Then no apple pies. Drove away in despair to get home and realize they had not put in our 2-piece chicken meal at all. Won’t be repeating the same mistake of using this app again. Manager said “I can’t control when I run out of product...”. Well maybe don’t let people order stuff on your app. But that is not even what happened. They ran out of the chicken sandwich after our order, which means they did not get it or did ignored it when it came in. But I don’t even care about that, I care about the lack of any response to our disappointment that our food was not ready to go and forgetting huge parts of our order on top of that. Terrible customer service

Rate the App— WARNING: they Don’t refund/cancel.. All Mobile food apps allow you to change the location if you ordered at the wrong location. POPEYES does not. My $30 is gone and I never got my food. I sent in a support ticket and the support tech was unhelpful. I called the corporate Popeye’s number and they couldn’t do anything. I called the small store itself and nobody picked up. Don’t advertise convenience if your app fails to do something basic as allowing one to change the location for a pickup order. The support aspect of the app was horrendous. It was not user friendly. The shape of the window was not conformed to my iPhone. I couldn’t really type my concern… I had to communicate by clicking buttons about what my issue was related to— please beware about this company’s lack of customer service in making things right. Money gone, just like that. And about the restaurants? Twice… I’ve tried to get chicken sandwiches at two different locations and twice they said they had no more chicken sandwiches. Dude, that is a hot item that is advertised, how do these restaurants not have any more of them???? Ridiculous service.

Terrible customer service. The app it self hasn’t been an issue as much as the restaurant fulfilling the orders. I usually order family meals for my family usually between $30-$50 when we order. I have had issues with items missing or being substituted. Which wasn’t an issue when it was an occasional apple pie. However the last time I ordered over $50 worth of food and received one chicken sandwich and a drink, which was not apart of my order. I went to the store they advised to contact support which I did over 10 days ago. I received a response one hour after my initial request and have not heard anything since. I have sent three follow up emails and still no response. They did not correct my order and I was not refunded. I have called the 800 number which seems to never work. So it’s really no point in putting it out there for people to call.

Not worth using. I only wanted chicken strips, no sides. I couldn’t order it in the app, because it wasn’t an option. So I order with a side, and used the app to order ahead. I wait 5 mins before I drive to the restaurant to pick up my order. I had to wait in a very long drive thru line of cars that went into the street for 10 mins, only to get to the window to be parked and told I had to wait 5 more mins. The app says your order will be placed in the queue with current orders, but Don’t waste your time ordering ahead, you’ll only end up frustrated that you went through the effort to download and set up this app for nothing. It would make the app better if there was an option to park and check in so that an employee can bring your order to your car since the lobbies are closed. That way people don’t have to wait in a long drive thru line and only to be parked to wait again.

Good chicken sandwich. Poorly done app.. I really wanted this after work. Paying online for food and getting rewards points in like a good idea. Works well with many other restaurants. However Popeyes has failed in maintaining digital support for the app. The first issue that I had reported to them was when I had a problem with one location but could not find a way to report it on the app. They list every city in Colorado regardless of if they have a Popeyes location. However a couple cities turns out are missing so they list those all under even if they’re not in Denver. Kind of makes reporting a problem a bit difficult. But now the newest thing is they are promoting their new hot chicken sandwich, and say it’s not available at my location. However when I get there it is advertised and the staff says we have had it since the promotion started. You would think the app would be fixed to solve the simple question and allow people to purchase the item. But I have contacted them a few times and have heard nothing back and the app is unchanged. This is too bad. When I first got the app when the location nearest me was first opened I used it to report issues I had with orders and received quick and extremely fair resolutions. Now the pendulum has swung the other way.

Scam App. If I could give them 0 stars I would. How do you have an app, that was not tested. There is no way, this app had legitimate testers. I bought a family meal for $20 + and an hour later I am arguing about this meal. I get to Popeyes after ordering for pick up, I get there at 4:20 and was told that they are out of chicken, fries and biscuits. Just go ahead and shut the whole business down. This is seriously counter productive to the goals of the business. How do you have a 3rd party run your app that is not connected to the actual franchised business place. They are not able to cancel orders knowing Popeyes have several underlining issues- namely bad customer service. I had high hopes for the app because that would mean I do not get the opportunity to interact with the very rude people you hire in every state. So now with $20 to my name, I have to call customer service so she can then submit a ticket to the support team so they can get back to me in 48 hrs while I stay over here and die of hunger. App is trash. I will be reporting this to my bank, and filing a grievance with better business bureau. This is a scam, fraud and should be locked down immediately. Ridiculous ....

App Rarely Works. I love Popeyes Chicken, but I have avoided going there for a while now because the app rarely works correctly. It crashes constantly. One manager saw that the app wouldn’t let me pay and honored the app price. The last time it happened the manager was rude and said he didn’t handle IT. He then told me If I wanted to order in store then order, otherwise there was nothing that he could do. I took his hint and left and haven’t been back. I’ve contacted support and their answer was to delete the app and d/l it again. I have done that and it did work; however, why would anyone do this every time they want to use the app. It’s easier to just order from an app that works at one of the many other fast food places around. Plus, I can run into Publix and buy pretty good chicken faster and for less than dealing with the Popeyes app. Hopefully they get the app working correctly like EVERY other fast food place and people can actually use it.

Cold Cold All The Time. Your Popeyes franchise located in Huntington Beach California on beach Boulevard is the worst I’ve ever seen. You go in at 8:30 and they want me to stop cooking chicken, everything is packed in boxes not under a heat lamp in boxes. When you ask for fresh chicken at 8:30 PM and they close at 10 o’clock they said that’s it for tonight. She came from 830 Cerner to 10 o’clock and hour and a half later it’s not fresh chicken. And the worst thing they argue with you. If I’m spending my money I should have fresh food, they tell me this is a fresh as I can get cooked at 8:30 certain 915. Someone from the franchise should go in in fishers problem. I bought chicken tonight and is horrible and I want my money back. An old gentleman came in and asked for fries they said the froze down for the night and 915 that is so sad. Sorry for the miss spelling but I was so angry. There’s no motivation there. The manager walks around and when he finally starts helping, he’s not wearing gloves. I ask him if someone else can help me. This site needs supervision. They leave the new employees up front and my order has been wrong so many times. I ask for 2 thighs, I get a thigh and a breast, I ask for spicy, I get original. It’s a hit and miss. You ask for the freshest, and you get in the car it’s barely warm and you can tell by the color it’s not fresh. I’m so disappointed with Popeyes. I hope this helps

Reward points are not available in all locations in OC California. I have accumulated 2119 reward points on the app and cannot redeem them. When I first loaded the app in 2022 I did redeem points for some spicy chicken sandwiches. Now I cannot use them. I have selected every restaurant in OC and I am sure some in LA and cannot. Says not available at this restaurant. I have been in touch with Tech Support about the issue. And has not been resolved. I have sent multiple messages and all they say is. Restaurant participate at their discretion. My issue is why not tell me which ones are participating so I can redeem my points and get rid of this app! If I can't redeem my points in the state that I live in why have it. I will call my order in next time I feel like a spicy chicken sandwich. I'm deleting this app cause it is useless to my state. I even suggested the tech support to send me a gift card in the value of my points before my points expire and they don't even acknowledge the question. Same answer participating restaurants. I swear to God I selected every restaurant in my county and some in LA county and they don't participate. I'm done with this issue. Deleting the app and the tech support is probably all AI. Not even real people cause they don't know how to solve a problem only move it down the line! Bye!

They don’t actually deliver, it’s just door dash. I wouldn’t have ordered from this app if I knew that they were making my food then trying to get someone from DoorDash to deliver it. When I ordered it told me it would be an hour before my food arrived, OK, that’s fine because I’m at at least 20 minutes from the restaurant. It actually took an hour and a half & this app and door dash showed two different statuses so until the guy was almost here it was impossible to tell if he even picked my food up. I almost went to bed because at that point I am tired of waiting. I should’ve suspected it was DoorDash because the prices seemed ridiculous, I paid a delivery fee, a delivery surcharge, and a tip in the app (18% plus I had cash in hand to give for a good delivery-I didn’t because it took FOREVER) so I don’t think the extra long weight was because of me. This app is just a scam.

The worst!. I downloaded this app to place a mobile order and the app will not let you place a mobile order without logging in. BUT when you try to login, it takes you to the screen to make you create a whole new account. That’s it! No login screen just a create an account screen. Like do the idiots that design this app even use it?!?!? I mean it doesn’t even work the way it’s intended!!! Had to abandon my order and delete the app becouse no matter what email I used, it said I already had an account and to contact customer service and when you contact customer service it takes you right back to the broken links in the app to creat an account. For christ sake this process made me so mad that I won’t eat a Popeyes for a while after this! News flash! Computers can’t handle all in app problems especially if they are not programmed properly in the 1st place!!!! You missed out on good money today and will for a while from me and I will be sure to take my complaints to my social media as well. Y’all are terrible!

Offers and promotions not clear and clunky app. So me and my girlfriend were heading home from the airport and she wanted a chicken sandwich so I told her to install the Popeyes app they have an offer for a free chicken sandwich with a purchase. So it’s about a 20 minute ride to the Popeyes, she manages to install the app and find the location in that 20 minutes so we park at Popeyes and she tries to figure out how to get the free sandwich. We order a two piece meal and a chicken sandwich meal, then add a solo chicken sandwich (the “free” one) and the app still wants to charge us for everything. She goes into the store for help which they could not help at all so she gets frustrated uninstalls the app and has us go through the drive through, I order her a chicken sandwich but I order nothing as a matter of principle. So in the end we got screwed I went to bed hungry and I will never go to Popeyes again, great work guys, my only problem now is I cannot give you 0 stars.

Great app support. A mark for a business is how well it addresses a problem. This may sound negative but in a busy world ignoring a problem I’d the easiest thing to do. I put in a large order this morning and paid via Apple Pay. The order was processed and off to the shop I went. On arrival there was no record of the purchase. A great store general manager did everything she could to find the order. It’s good to know that the store must have the order on their register. The emailed receipt is a reference only. So 45 minutes later I gave up. I submitted an ‘issue’ in the app and headed my family’s house empty handed. While chatting I noticed that I received an email on my ‘issue’ asking if I received the order. Nope! On the way home I stopped at the store again. They checked the register system and the order never made it from my phone to the store register even though it was paid ($105). I checked my emails and there were multiple follow ups by Popeyes. I sent A quick message requesting a refund and 15 minutes later I received a full refund to my card. Easy does it. The order may have been botched by the flood of orders during the Coronavirus pandemic at lunchtime but the quick resolution earned a committed customer that will return.

Very useful app!. This is a great app. It is very easy to order pick up and delivery, view the menu and prices at different Popeyes, and using rewards and offers is great. The only thing that can make this app better is if when you are trying to get something delivered, that you have an option of which Popeyes it is delivered from. I have three Popeyes near me, all in a very close distance and sometimes it will make the order from the Popeyes that I don’t like cause the quality is not as good as the others and they mess up orders sometimes. So if they gave the option to chose which Popeyes restaurant of the ones that are close to you that you would like the delivery to come from, that would be a great improvement.

Could be MUCH better. My issue isn’t really with the app itself. For the most part, it’s pretty easy to use, so I generally don’t have issues adding items and ordering. However, I do wish that there was a separate option for adding sauces to orders. As far as I’m aware, the only way to get sauces is to get the tenders. Anyway, my biggest issue arises once the order has been placed. I’ve ordered at numerous Popeyes locations now, and every single time, the ETA has been EXTREMELY off. Each order takes at least an hour to get to me, and sometimes, it never shows up at all! I’m usually able to get those resolved, but it is still a major inconvenience to have to order twice and wait days for a refund. You’re better off going to pick up the order than wait for delivery. I’ve watched whole movies while waiting for my Popeyes orders to get to me. The tracking is okay but could be better. The best part is knowing that someone is actually delivering my food to me.

Love convenience but there are some issues. This app is super convenient as you can order online and just go in and pick up your order. However it’s counterproductive if the store is busy and I have to ask other customers if I can go in front of them to retrieve my mobile order, and then they are upset and wondering why I am getting my food before they are; and sometimes I have to cancel my order if it’s too busy because it just takes too long to fulfill the order. There needs to be more organization in store for mobile order pick up. Also, I am never able to use my points because for some reason when I go to checkout even though it shows my points being applied I am still charged for items that are supposed to be free. Defeats the whole purpose of the app if you can’t use your points.

Total scam. If I could give it zero stars I would!! I use mobile apps to order at restaurant ahead of time all the time so I was super excited to used this app as well. I made an order for pick up and everything was going smoothly or so I thought. When I got there the employees, who were beyond rude said they had run out of my items and that my order was going to be canceled. I know that up until I got there they didn’t even bother to look at my order cause it took them a while to get back to me and tell me they ran out. I live right by my restaurant so it took me 10mins max to get there so if they had run out of the items why didn’t they say that on the app before I paid! Lastly I have been trying to contact customer support to get my 40 dollars back for my order I never received and it is nearly impossible! Everytime I go here they do me wrong. Never again. I just want my money back and I will never mess with Popeyes

Worst app. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich with a side of fries and tender and they only sent me the sides and no sandwich. There was no way I could contact the store through the app, so I googled up the store and tried calling them but in vain, they didn’t pick up the phone once! I then emailed them (Popeyes, generic customer service) through the email Id on the app but again, it’s been so many days and I still haven’t heard from them. I couldn’t get my refund or my food. I called doordash because they are the ones who eventually deliver you the food when you use the Popeyes app, and they told me they’ll contact the store and let them know, but no luck. I mean, I get it that mistakes happen while packing food, but at least have a platform where a customer can contact you and these mistakes can be rectified. You can’t just make an app and then not put a number or a customer service link on it where we can talk about the orders delivered to us. It’s stupid and I was disappointed with this experience and I’m deleting the app. Guess it’s constructive criticism at my own cost. Whatever

Horrible customer service. I went threw drive threw and my food wasn't fresh. I was told to pull up ten minutes went by no one came to bring my food. I went into store no one ever got me fresh food and then told me it would take 30 minutes for tenders when I know it don't take that long! Then they gave me mild saying it was fresh when I ask for spicy tenders so when I took it back they told me to leave and I couldn't get fresh Fries as they promised for waiting for fresh food that I originally ordered with my meal! I had to sit in the store and refuse to leave just to get fries I was supposed to get with my meal in the first place. They was mad at me because they kept messing my food up and couldn't take it back which I have nothing to do with and didn't even want to keep the food. I was very disappointed especially with the young man who runs the store who told me leave and don't come back all because I wanted fresh food and Popeyes is already expensive to be getting cold stuff!

Beware! You might buy something restaurant doesn’t have. I ordered 24 nuggets while sitting in the drive thru. I go to pick up the order, they’re out of nuggets. Nothing offered in exchange and no one knew how to cancel it. I talked with the bot in the app, canceled the order and should expect a refund in 5-7 business days. You have got to be kidding me! Account deleted, app removed, all in time to enjoy some nuggets from Chick-fil-A but without the hassle. Suggestions: The app shouldn’t let you purchase something that’s out - it’s 2023, post-COVID. Restaurants should have a functioning mobile order system. Employees who work for a restaurant with a inefficient ordering system should offer a refund, a gift card, or other food item in return. I left with no food and less money. It’s not difficult, really? No one’s food is that good. A spicy chicken sandwich is only as good as the service. The only good part was the AI in the app, ironic.

You maybe scammed!!! I am missing food and my money!!! Horrible / No customer service. I placed an order using one of the trending offers on the app. I bulked up my order to meet the offer requirements. When my order arrived it was beat up and in poor condition. Looking in the bag I quickly realized that my order wasn’t complete. Only half of the items paid for was in the bag. I tried to contact the driver.. no response. I tried to contact customer service no direct number or chat... I tired to contact the actual store and had to call 6 times before someone answered. I was told Popeyes didn’t deliver my order DoorDash did; I was also told someone would be contacting me again with an update. I have yet to receive an up from the store.. I contacted DoorDash and was told because I order was placed directly from this app I cannot be reimbursed for the items I did not receive. So at this point I am still missing the other half of my order as well as my money. Save yourself the trouble and eat somewhere else! You run the risk of loosing your money and being scammed.

Their online ordering is as bad as their in-store customer service. I love Popeyes food, I would go there every week if it wasn’t for the atrocious customer service that is offered in the stores. I have never actually encountered a Popeyes store with friendly, competent help. That said, I know that this is about the app. The app itself seems to be designed fine, and offers great discounts and offers. But it ends there. The online ordering system is horrible. Several times I’ve gone to place orders, and was not able to process the order. On three occasions, I did online mobile ordering before going to the store. On each occasion, I was forced to wait at least as long as I would have if I had not ordered in advance. Learning from my mistakes, I timed the order a half an hour before I arrived at the store. Even so, they were just receiving my order. The last occasion was the last time I will be ordering online, after waiting 30 minutes to go to the store, I arrived and my primary item was not available. I was not contacted in advance, and offered no discount for my inconvenience. I canceled the order and went to KFC. I alerted the customer service department about my issues, and was given a three dollar credit towards a future order, that cannot be combined with other offers. Complete waste of time. The customer service for the app and mobile ordering is as atrocious as it is for the stores

Ronnie M Jones II (Dissatisfied). I give 5stars to the app BUT My local Popeyes never have all sides and lately no beverages.. I feel if I pay for something I definitely should receive services rendered. I see cars (maybe mostly Uber Eats I don’t know) in line all day mostly and definitely in the evening and just can’t seem to understand why they aren’t fully stocked every day.. well at least when I order it seems… I definitely love the food from Popeye’s but I don’t like nit getting a full service either.. Another thing is they make the people wait in line even if they pre ordered which is CRAZY to me.. What’s the sense of having that luxury if it’s nit a pleasure whatsoever.. Sorry this isn’t a happy/good review but that not right to the consumer (ME)…

App doesn’t work. I’ve tried twice to use the app to order. The first time I added the special to my cart and tried to order more food. The special disappeared. The store did not want to honor the special. They said they don’t have anything to do with the app (really??) the second time I kept getting an error message when I was checking out to contact my card issuer. I had two pending charges from Popeyes in my account so it wasn’t my card it is the app. Thankfully when I showed my phone to the store they honored the special. Same store different employees. Also compared to other apps for ordering this one is not set up very well. What is the difference between mobile and restaurant order? We can’t go in the restaurant so do they have curbside pick up? Is drive thru the only way to get your order, if so why order ahead if you still have to wait in line? Both times I would have just gone somewhere else but I was getting food for other people. What good is having a great chicken sandwich if you can’t use the app to order?

Some stores don’t accept mobile orders. Some stores don’t accept offers made through the mobile order, such as t mobile’s deal. Those stores also have no signage or notice in the app or in store to make people aware of this. I placed an order with t mobiles offer, waited 30 minutes in store. There was a lot of people so I thought it was busy and I should wait. However 30 minutes is a good time to check up on an order and when I went to ask how much longer my order would take. They said their “system doesn’t work so we’re not doing that right now”. I asked if they can still honor it, considering I’ve been waiting for 30 minutes and they said no. Apparently other people have faced this same issue at the Popeyes North Hill location and there is absolutely no signage or proper customer service to correct this issue. I don’t know if the app or the restaurant is at fault but the system for online ordering is definitely flawed and needs to be addressed.

No stars if possible. I ordered twice using this app, first time was Ordered for pick up and the restaurant took a while in finding my order, the line was long and I was flashing my phone to the counter and the restaurant personnel was taking too long to take care of my order but eventually was able to fix it. Second time was ordered online for a drive thru thinking it would be quicker using this app but then I received an error, order did not go through, ended up ordering in person at the restaurant. Next day received an email for the receipt of the app order and was charged for it, I Called the popeyes restaurant and gave my info about the order and asked if they received any such order, staff was very nice to help me and informed me no such order came thru. Called customer service gave me an ID complaint number and told me someone will call me. 2 days later no call received. I was inconvenienced and charged for using this App. I am discouraging anyone on using this app. Do not even try.

New store in Fairfield Ca. Hello, I was very worried to go to your new place since I imagined there was still kinks that needed to be worked on... I was pleasantly shocked when everything was perfect! My daughters sometimes go to you Oliver rd Fairfield Ca location and the order is almost always wrong, the wait is insane. On my first order last week I was gives the large size red beans and rice. My son in law ate it so I didn't see what was in the bag. My daughter went today and ordered the same deal. We were surprised when the two regulars were so small? Plus I ordered coke slaw and something is missing, flavor isn't right? So now I need to head back and buy the large size and ask them to fix the coke slaw. Normally I just wouldn't go there anymore but the staff is amazing and super quick so on my way now.🍗

Worst app EVER!. There’s usually some kind of benefit to having these apps. I love Popeyes chicken!! BUT The app is crap! I ordered on the app but still have to go through the drive through?? Why?? I know because of CoviD right. So that means all of the other restaurants would do the same. NOPE! This is the case with Popeyes. Why even have this app you can get the Doordash or Grubhub apps. At least they give you some kind of reward system. Now my local Popeyes is by far the worst one I’ve been to as well. Customer service is non existent! They all hate their jobs. “What can I get ya!” That’s how to ask us? Next time I’ll have my kid record this and post it. It’s frustrating to order 29 mins before hand the lobby is lock and 14 cars are in line. So I have to wait another 20 mins. Then hear “what can I get ya.” What ever happened to good service? You can get this app...but be warned! Oh and one more thing... don’t even try to get a refund. You have to jump through SO many hoops. One’s I’m still jumping through after 4 days of paying and no getting the food. They have no intentions of giving you your money back. You’ve been warned!

APP IS UNUSABLE. EDIT #1: First of all, I LOVE POPEYE’S CHICKEN! However, I see lots of users on here that didn’t receive food for one reason or another and the charge still went through. IF YOU’RE CHARGED FOR NOTHING, GO TO YOUR CARD’S APP OR WEBSITE AND DISPUTE THE CHARGE. THE LAST THING ANY BUSINESS WANTS IS A PLETHORA OF DISPUTES, AS THIS CAN JEOPARDIZE THEIR ABILITY TO ACCEPT CARD PAYMENTS. I hate to advise this, but good grief! This many improper charges means something is wrong with Popeye’s treasury dept. ORIGINAL POST: I just now updated the Popeye’s app on my iPhone X. When I opened the app, there was a modal screen asking if I’d like a text every day about Popeye’s specials. I touched the ‘Skip’ hyperlink, and then a modal pops up asking if I’d like to join a points thing, or words to that effect. The ‘Join’ and ‘No thanks’ buttons are below the screen horizon. Try as I did, there is no possible way to hold the buttons above the bottom horizon long enough to click either one. Heck, I was willing to join membership points just to proceed to where I could order. Impossible. So, long story short, I’m now eating KFC Original Recipe.

What’s the point?. You might think that if you order food to pickup through a restaurant app that the restaurant will have the food you order. Maybe, but maybe not. I ordered food, went to pick it up, and was told when I got to the restaurant that they didn’t have MOST of the food I ordered. Not that it wasn’t ready, that they didn’t have it. The restaurant was supposed to be open for another hour +, they just weren’t making any more food, which would’ve been nice to know when I was ordering. Plus there wasn’t a manager around. I don’t know if they had some kind of emergency, but it’s not a good idea to leave a bunch of kids in charge of the store without a supervisor, especially if they don’t know the restaurant’s own policy. I mean, I guess the app works fine, but what good is ordering in advance if they’re not going to have any of the food you ordered and don’t find out until you get there. Also, the payment shouldn’t be processed until the food is picked up. Why should anyone be paying for food they don’t have? You’re better off going to the restaurant just to make sure you’re not being charged for the food they’re not making.

Clunky - App Needs Work. The check out process and the way offers can be added or not needs a lot of work. I had to find ways around the app in order to get an offer to apply even though I wasn’t doing anything wrong. On checking out, inputting the payment method was difficult. The keyboard to type in to fill out the form goes right over it and makes it hard to see what you’re typing in. Then you’re also not able to scroll down to see where the submit button is. I had to hit “return” on my keyboard while it was still up and then learned it would automatically submit the order. It was a little premature for me. I also would appreciate the ability to choose when I want my food for a later time in the day. I didn’t realize it would immediately submit and order for me for ASAP. Please reference pizza ordering apps like Domino’s for good user interface. The tracking system is also highly inaccurate! I initially was told 40 minutes and then it jumps to 1 minute away while the driver icon is no where near me.

Too many issues. When you order your food, you aren’t given anywhere to write what sauces you want/any extra instruction. Or at least there isn’t a place where the Popeyes restaurant actually reads it. I’ve written plenty of times I want extra hot sauce. I get no sauce, not 1 not 2, but 0. There’s an option to “contact your delivery driver”. When you call the number it says that the number is out of service and no longer available. There’s no way to reach the driver at any point during the delivery. I know this before the first time, the Popeyes delivery guy just left with my food when I saw him try to get in the building. I couldn’t leave but I kept trying to call him; the number didn’t work. The next time this happened, I called before the order was finished, after the order was en route, and when I saw the driver. It’s the same message. This time the driver was smart and went to the correct door and I was able to get my food.

Not capable of refunding a purchase. I downloaded this app so that I can order, pay, and pick up my food in the drive thru. Much like I do all the time with the Chick-fil-A app. I wait in a ridiculously long drive thru line, just to be told that because of COVID-19 all mobile orders need to be picked up inside, but they would make an exception this one time. Makes no sense. However, the reason I give this app 2 stars is because when I reached the pickup window, the people packing the food were not wearing gloves, and one person had their nose hanging out of their mask. I refused the order and asked for a refund. The store can’t give you a refund and there’s no way to request a refund within the app. You have to call customer service and give them all of the information you already put in the app, the reason you want a refund, and then wait 24 hours to get a response from “management”. Very poor customer experience.

Worst app experience ever. I never had such a complicated horrible experience with any fast food online service or delivery company. I downloaded the Popeyes app and placed an order which I waited over an hour half to not receive my order the person who was suppose to deliver my order through the “Popeyes app” took my order took my food didn’t even attempt to deliver pretended and stole my food. Which you the way I ordered for my kids and I. What type of person no what type of (human being would take from out of child’s mouth) after I told her it was for kids she refused to bring my order . This is stealing I contacted guest support for the app the rep: Brian was very unpleasant didn’t voice no concern nor saw nothing wrong with what this person has done. They are very unaware they don’t even know who or what delivery service was suppose to deliver my food. They didn’t offer me anything for this terrible inconvenience I encountered. Horrible I wouldn’t give any stars but it’s not an option their app is horrible I will never use it again and don’t recommend to anyone.

Rude. I made a $9 purchase on the Popeyes app to be picked up at the drive thru. My friend waited 30 minutes just to be told they didn’t have my food after I had already been charged and given points for my purchase along with being given 2 online receipts for my purchase. I called the store once that happened and while waiting for a manager I heard her telling the young man who originally answered that she didn’t want to talk to me, she didn’t care, and there was nothing they were going to do. I understand online mistakes but she was very unprofessional about the situation. I reported this to the app and was emailed right away about a refund. Popeyes has good online customer service but I’m extremely disappointed in the stores and how they handle things and treat people especially if this is a common occurrence like the manager said it was, for the app to not work and just charge you.

No food and still charged!. Using this app I ordered and tipped for delivery service that was later cancelled with no explanation. When I was finally able to reach the restaurant they informed me that they didn’t have what I ordered and they were unable to fill it. I said ok, please cancel the order. They informed me that even though they can’t fill the order they don’t have the ability to cancel it hence I’m still being charged. They suggested I contact customer support. When I reach out, without even asking why I needed to cancel, they tell me right off that they can’t cancel, and that even though the delivery was canceled I am still able to pick up the order. That’s when I explain that the restaurant doesn’t have what I ordered. They then inform me that they don’t have the ability to cancel the transaction either. Here I am two days later with the charge cleared in my account and still no response after the last we don’t have the ability to cancel. I’ve had to go through my bank for resolution. Moral of the story don’t order through this useless app unless you want a headache.

Not even prepared the order after two hour wait. Ordered at 5pm, it says the order will be ready in 27 minutes. At 6:30 pm, the tracking still says the order will be ready in 25 minutes. And order was not even picked up by the driver yet. Tried to refresh the page, then ETA became 27 minutes again. Called the courier, not one picked. Called the store, no one answered. At 6:45 pm, refreshed again. ETA become 29 minutes. Called again, no one answered. So my boyfriend took a Uber to their store, explained the situation. And, finally, they start to prepare our order. Sometimes things take time,and we are in a difficult time, I understand. But, 1. The app interface gives people the illusion that the order is being prepared when it’s not 2. The absolute lack of response from courier and the store 3. The lack of effective I n+app customer service 4. The fact that they only start to prepare our order after we confronted them in person, after patiently waiting for almost two hours. Putting these together, it is very obvious that this company created this app to INTENTIONALLY steal money from customers who give them their trust. And I was so stupid to tip the nonexistent driver for 5 bucks, which the store doesn’t even feel the need to refund. As a remedy of my stupidity in giving them business, I will never buy any meal from Popeyes again and, with all sincerity, I wish this business fail miserably.

What a Cheating Scam. This app offers deals like a Shrimp Box for $5 and combo for $7 so if you buy both, Total is $12 plus tax. Yet the app ignores this and charges for each item in the offers separately for a total of over $18. That not cool. Also I have asked why can’t the Tuesday special of 2 pieces be included for $2.79. You have to enter the store and order this which I take offense to as it subjects me to higher risk rather that go to the mobile pickup at the back of the store. I guess they want me and others to go to KFC who don’t do this to us. Even when you place a mobile order there is a phone number to call which they do not answer. Let the buyer beware, this app cheats you so don’t use it. I my opinion the app is poorly written as it forces you to pick dipping sauce that do not exist and if you don’t pick it will not proceed. Other app (like McDs) ask do you want to customize which makes it much easier, this one forces you to and makes the experience unenjoyable. The app cheated me the first time out of $5 the second time I complained and got my money back and used it for the tip as the employees deserve it and are not responsible to really bad programmers. How hard is to to do the Math?

Help on Orders is Awful. Most of my orders made to the Popeyes closest to me end up incorrect. I wonder if it seems like I’m complaining to complain, but there is literally almost always something wrong. Whether it’s missing food, something not included, comes after waiting two hours, I’m often disappointed. Popeyes is lucky I like their food and the app is cheaper than Ubereats or Doordash. The app used to be quick with at least assisting me to get my money back when my order was incorrect, but with the latest automated chat update, it is absolutely awful. Actual trash. I can’t communicate what I need to, it doesn’t take my concerns directly to a customer service agent, a text box never shows up for me to add the “additional information” it request to progress the chat forward. Technically, it’s a disaster. PLEASE get someone to correct these algorithms, I’m very disappointed and frustrated. Makes me want to stop eating Popeyes lowkey.

Good App, but lots of room for improvements. The “Full Menu” list is misleading. The App still have items compartmentalized instead of truly have a full list. Need to allow customers to choose which way their preference of compartmentalized selections or truly a “Full Menu” list. Family meals are good, but need to allow minor modifications to suit the client’s needs. For instance, I chose the 8 pcs chicken meal with large side, and 4 biscuits. I only wanted one biscuit, not four and would prefer a credit back on the remaining three biscuits that I’m not going to eat, so will subsequently become food waste, instead it could satisfy another customer’s appetite. Remember, “the customer is ALWAYS right!” So listen to the feedbacks of customers to tailor your business model. Thank you.

Love Popeyes, But NOT the app.. Downloaded it yesterday, order went through, got assigned a dasher, and 15mins later get a call from driver saying the Popeyes is closed. Why would they allow you to order if they are closed? Whatever , stuff happens , tried to see if they had a way to report the issue (there isn’t) fortunately dasher canceled the order, there was no way for me to do anything... despite this... I really want a spicy chicken sandwich .. they got me hooked! (They really are good!) so tried next day when I know they are open, now when I try to submit an order it just errors out , says they are aware of the problem and to “click here” if it keeps happening which just brings you to a FAQ page that is NO HELP, so way to contact about problems with orders, I hope they fix the app, and have a way for people to report problems to their developers, so developers have some idea of what needs to be addressed. And they certainly Can’t address problems that no one is able to report. I hope they fix it , but for now the app is worthless and gets low marks.

Issues,issues,issues!!. I eat at popeyes at least once a week. I always want to use the app when ordering but vast majority of the time, there is an issue. Many times It says my store is closed (when it's clearly open), or the menu item is "not available at my store" or it just spins and spins! This is THE most frustrating experience and the app is seriously lacking!! Yesterday I ordered on the app using reward points for pick-up at the drive thru. I get there to pick up and the guy at the window says that I didn't pay for the order and I tell them I used rewards points.....I had to park and go into the store to show them I used reward points. I spend a large percentage of my lunch hour fixing another problem with the app, which means I had to gobble down my meal and get back to work. You ONLY get rewards when you order thru the app but the hassle is not worth it! So many other fast food apps function so much better! I'm on a budget and earnings free meals for being a loyal customer helps me save money.... But THIS APP IS SO FRUSTRATING!!!!!!

Every Order I’ve Made Through the App Was STOLEN. I get confirmation that it’s been delivered when it’s never been delivered. Thought it might be easier ordering through the direct app, especially because I enjoyed the idea of their points system as a regular customer, than other delivery service apps but alas. The first order I had delivered the driver drove directly past my apartment, and then when and sat at a different location for twenty minutes, never answered the phone. My second order through the app not three days later was marked delivered and never showed up. I don’t typically leave reviews unless I really enjoy something, but was particularly peeved by this one. I know they go through DoorDash which is another app I now choose to avoid (just cancelled my DashPass because of this), Uber Eats or anything other than DoorDash seems to work just fine. Extremely disappointed as a southern gal who prefers Canes or Bojangles to be let down by a Popeyes of all places, it’s just absolutely unacceptable.

!WASTE! Stores don’t get the orders!!. App is corporate and on THREE different occasions at 2 different stores they did not get the order in their system. Store cannot go into system a s search or refresh to find it either?!?!? Store will NOT make the order even with a copy of your PAID receipt cause money goes to corporate. 2nd issue - NO way in app to CANCEL your order and get your money back?!?!?? You have to go through a “contact us” issue portal and wait 24-48 hours for a reply. I’ve used several other fast food apps and have had 0 issues with placing any other order and the store getting it. This app is getting deleted - use them for convenience but this one is nothing but a nuisance! And no, app developer, I won’t go to the support link to tell you more, I just told you everything - you app doesn’t work with the stores, but quickly takes my money! Shut the app down until it works!!

App seems fine. App seems fine. Didn’t have any issues using it. My only issue is with some of the underlying system. First, the app has no way of knowing if the store is out of something. McD’s and Starbucks can tell you that. Second, the store has no authority to refund money if they don’t have something, only substitute. My experience was ordering two banana puddings. Store was out and threw two fried pies in the bag without asking or telling me. When confronted the associate said ‘that’s what we got, have a nice day.’ Manager said they couldn’t refund online orders. Said there was a number in app to call. Couldn’t find that, so getting help was a challenge. Turned out the chicken part of the order was wrong too. Did finally get it all resolved. Note, the issue was not really with the app or Popeye’s, just one particular store, which is consistently disappointing. It’s just so darn close. Guess I will go to the next closest one from now on.

Needs major improvements. Many, many issues with login. Initially couldn’t get an email confirmation even after requesting multiple times. Then when the email did come thru to confirm my email address, the links were all duds and I couldn’t login to place an order. Finally after multiple tries to restart the app/confirm my email address, finally got thru and then ran into many more issues thereafter. Find a location doesn’t work for me, had to use the desktop website to find the closest location. Ordering my meal was fine. But then submitting the order did not go as planned. I added a credit card thinking that I would have a chance to review my order before actually placing it and I also wasn’t even ready to be on my way out the door and place the order, but by adding a credit card my order submitted prematurely.. so now I’m on my way to pick up probably a cold chicken 😒

No way to contact customer support. I ordered for the first time on the app today and it will be my last. I called the driver to let him know something was missing and he said I would have to let DoorDash know but since I ordered through the Popeyes app there is no order history of it. Every time I tried the customer support it always said error I took photos to prove I tried reaching out after I received my food and looked through everything. I then called the restaurant and the manager said he could not refund me because he does not have access to the online ordering which kind of makes no since to me, either way I have to go up there just to get something solved I don’t want to even be troubled by it because now a days I seem to have so many problems with Popeyes makes me not want to get anything from you guys anymore. Even picking it up a order took a 45 minute wait time after we had already put in a order 30 minutes ahead even after all that time we left with nothing because they only prioritized drive threw.

Still broken app support, no way to contact customer service or developer. The developer responded back to my negative review, requesting me to contact their app support. Wow! Unorganized…. Hello, I went to the new location in Mountain Industrial Blvd, Stone Mountain, GA I was in line 10 minutes and only moved up once. I got out of line and parked to go inside to see if it was faster. The cashier was getting the food for the person that ordered before me and then she stopped and kept repeating ‘Shut it down, shut it down’. She stopped what she was doing and went to the back of the kitchen. She never said anything to us, she just disappeared. After 9 minutes she came back and completed the order ahead of me. I finally placed my order and when I got home which was 4 miles away and took the food out it was cold and the coleslaw was not cold and it didn’t fill the bottom of the cup it was in. The grease/oil on the chicken was really dark as if it had been used for several days. I removed the skin. I also asked for mild but some of the chicken was spicy. I have photos of the food. VG

App is so/so. I like that I can earn points but I can’t have them scan my app for points if I chose to purchase in store. I also have no way to use a local coupon mailed to me on the app if I want one of those deals. Many items that I would normally order in the store or drive through is not available through the app. Such as a side of popcorn shrimp by itself, or an individual piece of chicken or even an extra biscuit. I can’t even request butter or their sparkle seasoning in the app or extra ice for my drink. When I wanted to bring these issues up to Popeyes in the support, the contact us was very difficult to use. I couldn’t type what I wanted to say as it prevents the keyboard from popping up. There are a lot of issues that can and should be fixed to make this app so much better. I hope the developers do.

Such a pain. App keeps going to a blank screen that says “Updating” for a few minutes and then says the update failed, won’t let me use the app. Only way to fix it is to delete the app and download it from the App Store again. Once it’s downloaded again, you have to sign in by having a link sent to your email. Sometimes my email opens the link in Safari rather than the Popeyes app, so I just can’t sign in. Sometimes rebooting the phone helps with the email link issue, but I really don’t think that should be necessary. I’ve had to go through deleting and reinstalling and trying to log back in three or four times now. Seems like the issue come up every week or so and it’s getting old.

Hope you don’t need a refund!. So this app mostly works ok unless there’s a discrepancy in which case you’re not going to be happy. I have tried to get a refund for an order when they were out of the item and I was told you have to get a refund through the app since I ordered it through the app. Well, good luck figuring that out I haven’t found a way to do it and the customer service button on the app that was filled out yesterday sent me to a page to fill out a complaint. No one has replied yet and that was over 24 hours ago. If there’s a discrepancy on the offers once again I was told by the local Popeyes that they would not honor it and I was left feeling scammed since I ordered something specifically for the offer. Still no response and no way to get a refund. Shame on you Popeyes...

Worst ordering process ever.. What is wrong with this app? I keep selecting dinner only instead of the combo with a drink and it keeps reverting back to the more expensive combo while I’m making selections for things like sides and sauces. Why would your app keep trying to add a more expensive combo? Gee I wonder how many people accidentally ordered it not realizing. I’ve had to go back like 25 times and start the order over. Then when I finally had like $40 worth of food in my order the app magically says “can’t connect to the store, please try again later” or it wants me to restart my order in which it will empty the entire cart. Guess what, I just wasted an hour of my time trying to select everything and now I can’t place the order at all so now you won’t get a single dime from me. Garbage app, uninstalled. I’ll go order from KFC instead. Enjoy the loss of business.

If the restaurant ain’t doin online orders.... So first time using the app...the Popeyes near us told us they’re not doing online orders a year ago...ok fine Covid blah blah blah.... 1 year + we get the app and this restaurant is listed...so we sign up for account, order and try to pay. Apple Pay says “both” my card are rejected...OK...so now we enter the credit card info... then it tells us this restaurant isn’t doing online orders...WHY LIST THIS LOCATION AS AVAILABLE TO ORDER ONLINE AND LET PEOPLE GO THROUGH THE ORDER PROCESS? and then say NOT available...so we order online to the next location 15 minutes away and now Apple Pay works of course...by the time we get home and FINALLY eat ...the chicken is still warm ...but not as good...Popeyes only good when it’s super super fresh...real Popeyes chicken lovers know this. Anyways FIX your app and have better upfront info on your locations!!!

I give it a two. It’s kind of ridiculous that I can check the app to see the deals before I head to the restaurant. And then when I get to the restaurant the app won’t load. . . AT ALL! But soon as I leave the restaurant the app will load again. Not to mention most times in the app, when I click on something. . . It will give me hella errors. I was just using the app for a delivery thinking ok I want a frozen lemonade, you know, the ones advertised soon as you open the app when it feels like loading??? Anywho. . . I go to the drinks tab, NOTHING! Just the regular fountain drinks. Go back to the Home Screen and click on the lemonade ad and guess what!!!!!!! YES. . . YOU GUESSED IT!!!! BROUGHT ME RIGHT BACK TO THE DRINK MENU WITH NO LEMONADES!!!!

Has many things that could be improved upon. The app overall is alright for the most part, but when the issues come in the problems start. I ordered for myself and my family and and an hour later the courier/delivery driver informs me that the store is closed. I check online and there hours state 10am -10pm and also just thinking logically you would assume the store manager would update his stores status such as closed/open in order to not have these issues but no, they would rather inconvenience there customer's. In short many issues to be worked upon and also customer service because they don’t attempt to help much just give you your refund but don’t compensate you for time wasted because of internal issues within their chain, very much disappointing.

Seems to have little to do with the franchise. On the one hand, the app seems to reflect that many franchises don’t use it. On the other hand, those that use it don’t seem to actually coordinate with it. I ordered two of the new fish sandwiches today for pick-up at a local franchise that the app indicated as using the app. The app took my order and my money, but the franchise did not have the fish sandwich. It was beginning to get busy and I haven’t been vaccinated, so I took two chicken sandwiches as a replacement and swallowed the $1.00 difference in price so that I could move-on and not delay others waiting for food. Clearly this is not the fault of the kind staff working the counter in the time of COVID, but of the franchise owner and the app. Ergo, one star for an app that did nothing for me and cost me a dollar.

This app is a part of a anti-customer theme. Note: this is a review of the Popeyes app, and not a critique of the food or restaurant. Not only on the Popeyes app but also if you order Popeyes from any delivery app they have chosen to remove the ability to customize or add instructions to an order. So something as simple as ordering mash potatoes with no gravy is impossible. One of my favorite things about apps has been that options and instructions are so much simpler through the app than even relaying and ordering them in person. Not giving access to ANY options or ability to leave the simplest instruction on any platform including their own app shows this was a conscious decision by Popeyes to be anti customer. I’m not asking Popeyes to reinvent the wheel, just to do the basic thing that the majority of their competitors in this space do.

Charges for Order but Doesn’t Send to Store. The last two orders I’ve placed through the app sent the charge to my bank, but the order never went to the store. Thus, we had to reorder and repay when we went to pick up our order. On both occasions, I used the help function in the app to report the problem. Both times, I was told I would be contacted within two days. Still waiting for the first response. New clock just started for the second. Also, the order placed stays in the cart waiting for me to pay again and again and again. It can’t be edited to clear the cart. The only way I’ve found to clear it is to completely delete the app from my phone and reinstall. This app needs serious work, and I’m tired of paying twice for my food.

Useless App. This app is terrible. I ordered 90min before store closed and went to pick it up 60min before closing. I was told that they were all out of over half their menu. I told them I placed an online order so why did they not make it yet? They said they never make online orders til people come cause they don’t know who actually picks up. The thing is, you have to pay in advance to make an order. So this app is completely useless if they don’t make my order til I get there anyways. To make things worse, there’s no way to refund an order that they can’t make. On top of that, tmobile Tuesday allowed u to redeem coupon from any store even tho half of them don’t participate in a company promotion. Just wasted an hour waiting in drive thru for an online order that they just ignored.

Not so functional. I’ve tried previous versions of this app and the current one is still the sam: it just does not function well. There’s no way to get to the cart independently; you have to order something just to view the cart. If you add an offer it applies it to the cart but doesn’t “count” it as an item in your cart. As of right now, I have an offer in my cart but I cannot purchase it because I cannot access the cart! It’s kinda like I’m going to be forced to order or buy something other than what I wanted if I want to receive my original offer. Which is not cool. This is a waste of time and effort if all the app is a just a collection of graphics

Hate this app. I tried using the app to order food from Popeyes and when I put in my card information it said something went wrong and that the transaction could not be processed. When I check that I had plenty of money on the card and tried again it said the restaurant was unavailable. Then when I tried a third time it said that the order had been place and I could not place again within five minutes of placing an order but the order didn’t show up in in the reorder section of the app I went to the restaurant thinking it might have been placed and they said they didn’t have an order with my name. So I choose to try and different card and restaurant only to have the same experience. Do not get this app.

Broken. Just got a push notification: they’re changing the rewards policy effective September 1st! Too bad it’s already October 5th! The app is clearly untested and super glitchy. It charges for the FREE sauces (even if you choose NO SAUCE option) with chicken tenders if you add anything else to the cart. You have to add any chicken tenders order last. Obviously, you can’t order two or more sets of tenders unless you’re willing to pay the extra sauce upcharge for normally included sauce. Not that your choices actually matter since employees are like to mix it switch spicy and regular chicken and automatically swap those nasty curly fry things for whatever side you chose. UPDATE: I now have two and only two offers available. They’re both for the same thing, but one is a dollar more, because it’s delivery EVEN THOUGH THERE’S A SEPARATE FEE FOR DELIVERY!

Cancel option. I wish there was a option to “cancel” an item just like other fast food app I have. The store was out of ghost pepper wings by time I got to drive thru speaker to pick up my mobile order which had two order of ghost pepper wings since I’ve never tried it. I wish the app and restaurant computer system talked to each other to know what available food items are at locations. Also, digital assistant was more helpful than employees at the restaurant. They didn’t know how I could get my refund since I couldn’t cancel my 2 order of wings so digital assistant was able to give me $10 credit in my app.

Horrible. Placed my order online and when I arrived at the location I still had to wait in the drive threw as they wouldn’t allow anyone in, which I understand, but they should have a curbside pick up set up. Finally get to the speaker to inform them that I have an online order just to be told they have not received my online order and that this often happens so I would have to order my order all over again, after already being charged for my online order. They asked to view my review my receipt as proof of purchase, and then after they saw it they then began to work on my order. I ordered through the app for its convenience and quick pick up upon arrival and revived neither. This isn't the first time I’ve had this problem but it sure will be the last.

Customer Support is broken.. There were items missing from my order, I clicked on "Need More Help" then followed the prompts that led me to Customer Support. In Customer Support, where it would then prompt you to "enter additional details" or other information, such as your number. there isn't a text box or anything on the screen to enter or submit any additional information, and the script will not move forward until you enter the additional details. And because the box to enter such details does not appear, so-called "customer support" ends there. I checked my internet connection and made sure I had the latest version of the app, I even attempted to access Customer Support from a different device, and I would still be met with the same outcome. $12 worth of food is missing from my mobile order. This needs to be addressed.

Ridiculously bad app. This is consistently the worst app I have ever encountered. It gets my phone number wrong all the time and it forgets my address every time. Nearly every time I order, there is a problem: items are missing from the menu (that I can get when I walk in or call the restaurant: lazy and poor customer service); the food is delayed (and not by the delivery service); no one picks up the phone when I try to remedy issues; there is no simple way to access help from the app or the website. There was a period of several weeks where I could not order at all from the app or the website and there was nothing explaining the issue or apologizing anywhere on the website or social media. You are a corporation. You should really know how to do better. This is disgusting. I used to order EVERY WEEK and I will never, NEVER do business here again. Absolutely unacceptable.

App never works. I like Popeyes and was excited about the app however out of the 6 or 7 times I’ve tried to order through the app it’s only worked 1 time. I’ve tried everything from uninstalling the app to updating my phone and I just can’t seem to ever get it to work. Sometimes it just loads and loads so I don’t do anything. This last time I went through the whole process of ordering but my card didn’t get charged so I tried again but every time I could complete the order it shot me back to the order checkout screen. I asked if they received my order and they didn’t. I just give up on this. I was asking others about it and they said they hate the app because it never works for them either. Bugs all over the app.

Needs work on the little things. I love Popeyes and the app can be really convenient for ordering delivery. However it has a bunch of little things that need some work to really help make the most of ordering. First I don’t care that stores aren’t open yet, let me start putting the order together now. It takes an hour plus to get the 6 people in my office to figure out what they want and you not showing what’s available to order yet doesn’t help. Your account should allow you to save the address under it. Realistically I’d love to see a home and work address options but whatever. Having to constantly put the address in is a pain. Here’s my real issue. Food options! If I order a sandwich I can choose to remove pickles but can’t add extra. Which I would be happy to pay for if needed. Same with sauce on the sandwich, do I want no sauce? Sorry can’t do that. No extra sauce either. And if I wanted dipping sauces with my regular chicken. No option to buy them either. And where are the jalapeños? How about adding packs of honey? I’m happy to pay for this stuff but you give me no option to order it and no place to even add a note about things.

Does not work. Once again, was ordering to take advantage of an offer it does not work. This is the latest from these folks. Tried to order $50 worth of product, but ended up going somewhere else. Really wanted it to work, but it just has three dots at the bottom. If I wanted to order just a drink it looks like it may have worked for that…nvm I’ve spent too much time trying to help a business that just doesn’t get it. The canned responses asking for basically the same info be given to them again but on their website is silly. Maybe instead of the canned response, you should take these comments and forward to your people. Again too much time spent by the consumer trying to help them get it right. Why don’t u beta this app with your people before u roll out stuff that doesn’t work

Gets the job done. The app is pretty cool - you have access to the specials and promotions. It also allows you to see the full menu and not just want they want you to see due to space limitations (like in-store and drive thru). The only real issue I have is the “address” portion - you have to put the address in every time. I also don’t like the fact that you can’t edit the item in the cart - you have to remove it then start the process all over again with the edited info. Both are very minor (but annoying) issues for me. I’d recommend and continue to use app though.

Bad experience. They need to make a way that the app will tell you if the food you ordered is unavailable at the location before you pay because I ordered my food drove all the way to pick it up just to find out they didn’t have what I ordered and I asked to swap it out for something else they told me I couldn’t do that I would have to reorder so I tried emailing customer service to get my money back they told me twice I would get a coupon for $15 to make up for it and both times the coupon never showed up on my app so I finally asked for a refund and it said my refund was processed just to see the next day that they charged me another $13 and I still did not get my money back yet so I won’t be ordering on this app anymore I’m deleting it once I get my money back..

Wouldn't take my order at all.. The app is super slow for me I have no idea why. It doesn't lag or anything but whenever I update or change my order such as simply changing my side or sauces the app takes a whole second to load and process the change. It was honestly kind of aggravating. But I thought whatever because I had a coupon for a free Chicken Sandwich OR 2 Piece Chicken on any digital purchase from Popeyes over 10$. Well turns out the coupon couldn't be used for delivery only pickup at the restaurant so there goes my free 2 Piece Chicken. Even worse was when I input my payment method just for the app to say there was troubles processing my order with no further explanation. I tried approving my order 4 more times just to get the same exact error each time. I just decided to cancel my order entirely and delete the app.

It’s not very good at all. They pair with doordash and it’s the worst half the time the order is wrong then you have to email to get it fixed and the last time I complained they gave me a percentage off and it seems like they do not communicate issues with the store at all I keep pictures to have proof of my messed up order but they do not take that so you cannot provide proof of the error so what they do to fix it is based on if you believe you not very terrible because they can just throw anything into your box and if you’ve complained about a store too many times they won’t do anything about it I would just go through another service if i were you especially since the app only ever halfway works most of the time it gives error messages it’s never in tune with actual arrival times of drivers or anything very lazily put together

Don’t use the app. The chicken is good, but customer service is either slow, not polite, or both. I attempted to use the app & as expected was disappointing as well. I attempted to speak directly with the location about the app issue I was experiencing, but they said they couldn’t help because they had no clue how to use the app. I thought well weird, you think the company would have had some rollout discussions about the app features. I didn’t press with them & just utilized the support feature on the app. They could not help me either. Apparently, the tech team is aware of the no cancel feature being available to not only customers nor to their own Popeyes tech support team. I would hate to see a customer utilize the app & have an order issue keeping their money tied up because Popeyes themselves can’t even correct on their end.

Okay app, sub-par service. Perhaps this is just a bad experience at my particular location, but 15 minutes seems like it should be enough time for 2 combo meals. However when I pulled up to the drive through I was asked to come inside and wait an additional 10 minutes for my other meal. That ten minutes was enough time for my first meal to get luke-warm. On top of that the app didn’t list that the blackberry cheese cake pies were no longer in stock which seems like a basic feature that should be included in the app so I don’t have to make a last minute substitution. Slightly disappointed after the phenomenal service I always get at *another* chicken restaurant

No support phone number. Hello. I’ve had the misfortune of having our food stolen by the driver. It was enough to feed us for a few days and Wa to the time of $97 with all the fees and the hefty tip we gave. Well, the delivery driver must have thought they deserved our food more than my family and never delivered it. I put in a submission through the app and have heard nothing. I waited 24 hours out in another one, still nothing. Searched the app for a support phone number and there isn’t one. What?! Or not easily found bc I have yet to locate one. I think you need to do better by your customers and figure something else out. In the financial climate that we are in, no one can afford $97 to just be gone with nothing to show for it. I’m ranting but we should have had an email or something by now. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Menu Disappeared Mid Order. After only ordering a few items, the items listed under MENU disappeared from view. The lines between the items were still there but the menu items could not be seen. If you tapped on a blank space, a menu item would show, so you had to click on EACH blank space until you found what you wanted. Since I had already started an order when this occurred, I spent an extended time completing my order by selecting blank spaces. If it happens again, will discontinue use of this app. It’s bad enough that our local store ALWAYS messes up our 2-person order (EVERY single time) by subbing an item or omitting an item you paid for from your order, but having to deal with a faulty app is just not worth it!

Doesn’t even work. Frustrating. I tried two days to order. I’ve had the same things in my cart each time, same price and all. But when I got to the checkout, it would say they can’t complete my order and something about my card. So I switched cards because not all places take Cash App cards, but my debit card didn’t work either. My girlfriend’s card didn’t work either. Apple Pay DIDN'T WORK EITHER. There are no holds on any cards, and well over the needed amount in all accounts. Not on the website, nor this app did it work. It was really a waste of time because I tried for hours just to order from here. My food would've been way more if I ordered from an actual delivery app and it was all just ridiculous. I didn’t eat that night it gave me a headache.

Beware of fake “offers” in the app. Sometimes you can get good offers through the app, other times it’ll tell you it’s giving you a certain price, and then when you get to the very last payment screen, the price has magically doubled. They offer a “dine for two” for $8.99, which I did get two weeks ago so I know it was real, and tonight they have the same offer again, and when I get to the very last screen to hit the payment, the price has magically suddenly gone up to almost $19. I have tried five times to remove and replace the order, and it happens every time. Great way to lose a customer. Bye. And you know what’s a shame? I actually was in the mood for Popeyes tonight. But now I’m going to go spend my money at the Mexican place up the street. I’m not spending almost $20 on five pieces of chicken.

The Worst Food Delivery App in the World. I ordered a 2 piece meal, a soda, and 2 chicken sandwiches. They called me to tell me that they ran out of chicken sandwiches and that is fine. They came with my order and I also didn’t receive the soda that I ordered. I was looking on the app to find out how to get my money back for the things I didn’t get and it is extremely hard to find. When I found it I had to submit what I did not receive for it to get approved for a refund! If I do not receive something that I ordered it should be a automatic and INSTANT refund! I ordered for things and didn’t receive 3 of those things. I shouldn’t have to get accepted to get a refund; it should be automatic. Terrible experience and terrible app layout; I would give it 0 stars if I could. I will never be using this app again.

Generally terrible. Ordered on the app on Mardi Gras evening (I know, I shouldn’t expect much). App showed a countdown for ETA which meant absolutely nothing because the timer ran out and the display changed to “calculating driver location”. It has displayed “calculating driver location” now for 2 hours. I tried to contact the driver (can only call) and the call was never connected. Clicked on the link texted to me when I placed the order but the page never loaded after 10 tries. Clicked on the link for support which brought me to an automated chatbot. Each time I clicked “my order never arrived” the chatbot responded that the order was still on its way. It’s been 2 hours and so far I have no info as to whether my order exists, is out for delivery, has been cancelled, etc.

Disappointing Delivery. User beware, Popeyes outsources their delivery to Door Dash, which is absolute garbage. We waited almost two hours for our food to arrive, and the tracking system originally had an ETA of 37 minutes that kept resetting (for example, 1 minute until delivery turned into 42 minutes; this happened multiple times). Called the driver twice only to have him say he had no idea when he’d get to us, and was generally unhelpful. Food was great as always when it finally did arrive, but we will never be ordering delivery again. We’ve had other poor experiences with Door Dash regarding wait times, and one occasion where they never delivered our food at all despite them claiming to have delivered it. I would love to see Popeyes get rid of Door Dash.

Don’t waste your time. Horrible app in need of dire support. Menu isn’t fully set up, I tried ordering a chicken sandwich but when I clicked it on the menu, no options showed up. No way of editing your cart and there are just in general so many bugs. I wasted my time trying to redeem a T-mobile Tuesday offer. It didn’t work on my phone so I tried it on someone else’s. It applied the offer but didn’t let me choose any of the customizations it was asking me to choose. Showed up to the location and they said they don’t even offer it there. The app should really have an error message if locations don’t participate in specials. My past interactions with customer service have also been awful & a headache. You’re better off not wasting your time with this app and just going in to the restaurant & ordering the old fashioned way.

Useless support request. I used to like this app because of the easy ordering and the rewards given by the app. But my last two orders always had something missing. For example: In my two orders I ordered two chicken sandwiches, yet, there was always one of them missing, not only that, but a biscuit was also missing in one of them. I tried contacting support since it has helped me get refunds for missing things, but this time it wasn’t working. I’ve been trying for the past TWO WEEKS and yet it still isn’t working. I updated the app since I saw that it had an update but the problem was still there. Y’all literally stole my money without the refund, and the support is as much as useless.

Hey!check up bot. Try setting app to NOT CHARGE until the store confirms the order will be filled as ordered. When I first went to McD I was aggravated that they didn’t start the order until I checked in. Since then I’ve seen how beneficial that can be. They’ve even been able to add and change things at the point of contact—I normally pickup at the drive through window. Not a real Fan of McD or their food, I admit they have a good system and I’ve never had to spend hours trying to get a refund. You might try making the customer the priority instead of assuming that we will buy from you even though we don’t really matter to you. As it is, we have exactly one Popeyes restaurant that we even consider using, and that will certainly NOT be through the app. The whole organization exhibits a systemic problem.

I can’t seem to place an order. I placed about two orders a couple months ago and it worked fine. Recently though is a whole other experience. First off, I live less than a mile away from Popeyes. I keep placing orders and immediately they are canceled and “refunded”. Now I honestly wouldn’t be as frustrated by my order being canceled over and over again. The issue is they don’t give you back the money right away!! If an order doesn’t go through, you should get your money back immediately because I never got any services. I tried placing like 3-4 orders in a row all were over $25 until my card was declined because it kept all my money. I love Popeyes and could get rid of doordash because of this app but I can’t when my app NEVER works! I keep getting sent offers that I can’t use and discounts that have come and gone because I can’t use the app. Idk if Popeyes is worth this much frustration!

Love me some Popeyes Chicken. I love Popeyes so much and I love the way the app lets you choose how you want your food (Combo, lunch, dinner, dark meat/light meat etc) My only issue is not being able to pick the specific restaurant location id like for delivery! The app chooses the closest location for delivery orders but I do not like ordering from that location! They always mess up my order or give me undercooked chicken that still has blood in it!!! I avoid that specific Popeyes location like the plague lol. Popeyes team, please update the app so we can choose which location we’d like to deliver from!!! I’d prefer the Popeyes app over using uber eats but at least I can choose which location I want when ordering food :(

Is it store policy?. I used the app for the first time today. I had to have a bit of help navigating it. I couldn’t remove an item from the cart. I had to delete the app and reinstall. With help I got our meal ordered. It took about 10 minutes to arrive at the store. When I walked to the counter and said I’d used the app. She said ‘we have it, we’ll put it together’. People who walked in after me and had a huge order, got their food before I did. If this is Popeye’s policy, why would I possibly want to use the app? The food is good, the staff was friendly. The app/store experience sucked. The reason I use the app is so I don’t have to wait 30 minutes to get my food, not wait inside the store for them to start processing my order. I deleted it while I was still in Popeyes parking lot.

I would want to give it a true rating. I haven’t tried the app out fully, my only problem is still dealing with the error of signing up. Every time I complete the sign up, it always tell me that an error occurred. I was wondering if you help out on the sign up presses if you can. Please and thank you! ❤️ ✊ Another thing I would want to point out, is the sign in. I was wondering if you can fix that problem as well. Every time I get the check in in my mail box and click on it, it also tells me that an error has occurred. Please do fix this, this is bad. I can’t do anything to get a delivery. 😢

aManagement. The manager Alisha was very professional and my visit today was very rewarding! The 2 employees on the front end were not welcoming at all! I got the feeling they didn’t want to be here! The food was fresh with not too much grease! Last but not least the front end and drive through cashiers also kept their hands in their pockets a lot not really complaining but from management experience I think it needs to be addressed because they are the 1st people the customers see upon entering the restaurant by the way which was also very clean! Wtbs I have to give this experience 5 starts

Best app ever!!!. When one of Popeyes closed in our town a couple of years ago, that left only one still standing. No matter what time of day or night you go to it, the drive thru is out the parking lot and stretches the length of the shopping center next door. In a minute of desperation, I placed an order through the app. The heavens above opened and glorious music sprang forth. I could skip the lines and get my orders faster than a bolt of lightning. Let’s just say the app is my new best friend even though I wish they would open up a second one in my town.

No Customer Service Available with app. I do no recommend using the app for ordering. Delivery is through a 3rd party and no customer service is available. I placed an order. I did not receive my drinks. I called the delivery driver from door dash, she said Popeyes did not give her drinks. I called the local Popeyes and was informed I could come pick them up. I did not place an order for pickup so why would I need to go pick up part of my order that they did not send. I was also told I would need to contact someone through the app to receive a refund. There is not contact other than messaging and it says to wait up to 48 hours for a response. The app itself is easy to use but the customer service is bad.

App. It doesn't give you coupons that you can use on your app and it doesn't let you use your credit card on the app have notified them numerous times and they don't care to fix it. The same people keep responding never fix the issue. Don't even know how to fix the issue and it's just a vicious circle. I really like Popeyes. But I'm not driving down there for wrong orders credit cards they won't go through and sitting there and waiting and trying to get the credit card to go through and I've checked with the bank it's not the bank it is you guys at Popeyes it won't let the. Online order go through like I said I've had probably out of 10 orders five of them at least have been wrong. Trying to respond your email and you can't do that either.

Horrible, love Popeyes but after the last two experiences, I’m done.. I ordered on the app and the order was botched, they didn’t have items on the menu when I arrived. The store was locked up at 8 o’clock sign says open to 11pm? Couldn’t pick up my food without going through the drive through which then had cars stacked up because they lock the store so early? I order through the app to save time no waste it? Then I gave them another chance, ordered 20 minutes early, store locked again, manager cracked the door and said he would get my food? Came back with wrong order and looked surprised when I told him it wasn’t my order? Really? Really really? App is not intuitive, store doesn’t know how to use it. I’m done, going to chop fil a they know how to do it. Garbage experiences.

Can’t even mobile order. This app used to be good but now it is just terrible. I’ve tried several times over several weeks to order food off of the app and it never works with any stores that I’m nearby. I even tried to order in a different state and it’s the exact same thing. They have all these deals that you can’t even use because they’re mobile order only. That would be fine if the app actually allowed you to place an order. I haven’t eaten at Popeyes in weeks because of this problem. I refuse to pay full price for something I could’ve gotten on the app for $5. But since the mobile ordering is faulty I can’t even enjoy Popeyes. Such a shame. This is the only fast food place that has this problem

Fail. The most basic information for a restaurant app is the menu. This app fails to do that, even with the signature entree, the chicken. The signature chicken is not listed on its own. You only get the meals as an option. The Signature Chicken menu is the same as the Family Meals, with the addition of the individual meals. There is no option to just get chicken. There are other menu items not on the app. It’s super buggy as well. Just selecting a restaurant had several errors. So I will never trust this awful app with my financial information nor a financial transaction. This, this app is a waste of my time, and Popeyes’ money. Utter fail! Note to “Developer”: I tried to give feedback in the app. It failed over a dozen times. So no, I will not go to your lousy website which also has the same menu mistakes. I’ve wasted too much time on your poor excuse for an app already

Good Service. I have contacted Popeyes 3 times in the past about the Sanford, NC location. All bad. However my most recent stop, finally was a success. Using the app to order, while in the facility, I tried to order the special offer 2Can but when I clicked back, lost the opportunity for the offer. The staff helped me complete another order, price wasn’t as good, but it actually worked, using the gift card I had on the app. Food was hot, and service was great. My only issue was my husband went to the mens room to wash his hands before eating, there were no paper towels, no air dryer, and no soap. However the staff was all female, so it’s possible they never had the idea to check.

Doesn’t Work Well. Can’t order what you want. Doesn’t display custom order options after you select them so you don’t know if “no mayo” etc. actually got to the restaurant. Menu items aren’t correct. Menu offers 2 sides and a medium drink on the tenders platter option. When I selected my 2 sides, the app took my 2 sides but when I added my medium drink, it suddenly switched me to a combo option that has 1 side and a small drink...repeatedly!!! Frustrating to try to use to place an order. “Special offers” if you register. I did. Couldn’t get offer added correctly to my order. BIG waste of time! Never able to place a correct order...gave up and went somewhere else.

App doesn’t actually place orders. I have used the app twice. Around here the stores don’t act on the order until you show up. The first time it just meant I stood at the wrong line until someone finally noticed me. That’s when they said they don’t do anything until you tell them to place the order. The second time the restaurant said they were out of what I ordered. It was clear they had just sold out. They take phone orders, so that’s probably a better route. So much for modern technology. I asked them to cancel and they said I had to do that. I pointed out the app doesn’t allow that. I ended up substituting different items that I am sure were cheaper than what I ordered. I gave up trying to get them to do anything about it.
