Great step up!. I have heard there were several issues when this app first launched. I learned of some of these issues today while speaking with the clerk at the swan creek WMA, wear I purchased a fed duck stamp. I downloaded this app on Sept. 2. To me it is an amazing step up from pocket ranger. On my iPhone 8 I have no problem zooming in to read the text. Love the WMA maps and ease of use for finding seasons and bag limits. Great job and keep up the good work. Much more convenient than having to memorize season/limits and or carry around the paper game and fish digest.

Can’t login. Would be a nice app if I was able to login to see my fishing license. I tried logging in using my conservation license number and also last 4 of social but when I click on Log into my account nothing happens

App is worthless!!. Terrible is all that I can say about this app. I have never written a review on any app until now. No matter what I do, I can not log into this app. It is supposed to work off line but it doesn't. At least I can still report a deer harvest on the old PocketRanger app. Otherwise I would have gotten a ticket today from the game warden. AWFUL APP!!

Absolutely useless. Downloaded the app after the last update. Can’t read the regulations on a smartphone because the pages are too small. All of the regs are not posted. Season dates etc are not shown. No worthwhile information. No current maps. Worthless in this format. Tried to leave negative feedback previously but the app would not allow it. Claimed all the random complicated nicknames I came up with were already taken.

Lots of great improvements!. Very useful for game check and quick access to my licenses.

Doesn’t work. Won’t display my fishing license. Looks like lots of reviews saying the same problem. I don’t understand why they haven’t fixed this yet?

One less piece of paper to carry. I’m sorry some people have difficulty using this App. I for one find it extremely user friendly. I purchased my saltwater license 5 months after my regular hunting and fishing were purchased and they were add almost instantly. Some people have trouble converting oxygen to carbon dioxide.

Game check app. I cannot get by the log in page and have to delete the app to write this help request. It will take my date of birth but does not work with that. It will not let me enter any other form of I D. Lost I have tried the support address multiple times too. Exactly where do I go to get help? Do you have a phone # to call? If so please send Still lost.

Outdoor Alabama ap will not open. Keeps going blank when I try to open it.. The app will not open. Keeps going back to a blank screen.

Won’t load license. I purchased my license today and typed in the number from the paper copy given to me at the license department and the app will not load anything.

App does not launch all the time. The app is useful, but it takes a while to launch and more times than not, will not launch on my iPhone (iOS 12.1.2). I have to uninstall, download from the cloud, update, log back in to use the game check

Dislike this new version.. Not sure what you guys changed, but this app is slow, hangs up, and is hard to find info. Can’t believe you’re posting PDF files. Almost impossible to read. I’d been using the old version for years. Been hunting around the new app for 20 minutes, and still can’t find where to purchase a non res freshwater permit

No License Info. I’m able to login to the app but the license screen won’t show my current license. I’ve remove and reinstalled, logged in and out several times. Nothing has worked. I’m able to reprint my license from the outdoor Alabama website.

Easy, fast, clean UI. Title says it all. But why do we have to enter our entire SSN? The site only needs the last 4 digits.

License Not Showing Up. I purchased a hunting/fishing license almost a month ago and it still hasn’t shown up on this app. Around two weeks ago, I emailed support and they stated that it was because the license was still being confirmed by DCNR. I get if it takes a week or two, but it’s been almost a month with no change and I’m not convinced that this is solely due to waiting for confirmation. The fact that something this simple can’t be handled correctly looks very bad for everyone involved.

Can’t add anything!. I Purchased my license through the app, and now my license isn’t even showing up on the application what is the point of having the app without your electronic license on it?? I can’t find anywhere you can add your license I do then purchase a new license and you still can’t add you license to that. Fix your app

Better than 2 Stars. The app isn’t perfect. But it’s better than the 2 star review it’s getting. I love having my license on my phone. Also, being able to purchase a new license and record my harvest. Good stuff.

HR. Very difficult, would not let me login at first, finally got thru but then would not register deer. Tried again the next day and after five tries finally it gave confirmation. Last years was easier.

Poor operations. I don’t care for this app. It fails all the time when you try to login and access your license information. The old license allowed you to download a copy to Apple wallet and that was great because you could put all your family members license on one device. This app doesn’t allow that without logging out and in. It relies too much on internet access for login and when your on the water or wood you don’t always have great access. I wish the state would revise the entire app.

Can’t purchase licenses through app?. I see a button to purchase licenses but all I get is a blank screen.

Can no longer add license to iPhone wallet?!?!?. Incredibly frustrating and inconvenient to use. Very very slow app and they took away the ability to add your license to your iPhone wallet. Why would anyone take the very convenient simple iPhone wallet function away?!?!? My advice: buy your license somewhere else next year. These people are not keeping up with technology.

Simple. Miles and miles better than the pocket ranger. If you can’t use this app, you need a flip phone.

Feeding times. Only thing is the feeding times do not go to atleast the end of hunting season in February. It don’t go past January 31.

No Wallet?. The app is fine but since you can’t add the license to your iPhone wallet it makes it very aggravating. Seems like a no-brainer to have that function.

Problems with the Check in / out of management areas. I’ve enjoyed the convenience of using the Outdoor Alabama app in the past. Opening day I had doubts I was able to check in the management area I was at because right after I pressed the button to check in the screen went blank (just the app, not my phone). I waited for it to change for several minutes but decided to close the app and reopen so I could make sure it completed the check in successfully or I could try the process again. I opened the app to the main screen successfully but when I press the button to check in / out it will only go to the same blank screen. I did this several times with no change of outcome. I eventually reverted back to the paper check in / out process just to make sure I was compliant… This morning (24 hours later) I received a message from Outdoor Alabama app reminding me to check out of my hunt and adjust the times accordingly. Every time I press the check in button the screen goes blank… When searching for tech support contact info I’m only getting routed to the Alabama state website which doesn’t have a clear way to contact anyone that can help resolve this. Very frustrating! A little help here would be greatly appreciated

Useless. Appears to be totally useless at this point. Unable to sign in and can’t even view the whole screen correctly on iPhone 10 😡

Did you pay someone to write this program?. Unreal. Unbelievable. I opened the app. I wanted to just renew the freaking license I have and it is a nightmare. Pay someone competent to write your software.

Piece of crap. Finally got app to down load and it says it needs a download and will not do anything. Hit ignore and a whole bunch of nothing. Hit install down load and nothing. How can a app just downloaded need a update. This things useless to me

Super convenient. It is super convenient to be able to have your license on your phone. One less thing to carry.

Broken thing. This app doesn’t even work. Won’t log in, won’t pull information, won’t even open. iPhone 12 Pro Max on WiFi, the app is the issue.

Horrible!. Can not log on no matter what I try! Will not let me access any part. I can not put my license in the wallet. At least the old app gave me that ability. I could also get ranger help if needed while on the lake. Terrible app!

Glitchy but useful. It won’t let me check out of the WMA, it keeps telling me UUID unavailable. Would love help to fix that. Until then only 2 stars.

Weather. The quick weather locations is awesome!!!!! My husband fishes a number of lakes across 3 states! This AP is awesome!

Great Idea. App is a great idea but has many bugs. Will not switch to offline mode on iOS devices. Fix the bugs and I will change my rating.

Love the simplicity. Unlike the previous app I find this one so much easier to use. No more sorting through all the clutter.

Not really useful with out a zoom function. The only good thing about this app is that it keeps your license(s) electronically. Zone maps, etc. are impossible to see without the ability to pinch zoom. No Harvest reporting for game birds.

Worked last year.... Used this app for with no issues last season. Tried checking into WMA this morning and was kicked out of the app completely. Now every time I click on check in the screen pops up and the app closes. Restarted phone and looked for updates for the app, still having same issues. I do have my license updated in their though so that was nice.

Database Error. Downloaded this app so I could have my hunting license in my phone just in case the paper copy got lost or wet. Every time I try to log in with my DOB and license number, it says that combination doesn’t exist in the database. If I log in with my social, it says I don’t have a license.

Changes....better or worse?. Downloaded the new app for license renewal....it is ok. I can’t add my license back into Apple Wallet though. I do like the fact it has the WMA properties but would be nice if they would add for Forever Wild properties as well.

Not loading. This app will not load up anymore

Landscape view would be nice. It would be nice if you would allow screen rotation so the rules and regs would be easier to view. Right now in portrait mode it is too small to read without magnification. Return of the maps features would be nice also.

Love it!. Love the design and usability of this! Streamlined interface makes it easy to find exactly what I’m looking for without fumbling around.

Snapper check. The snapper check on this app never works. They require us to report our catch but you can’t Guess they would rather ticket us than to have the data.

Why change?. I liked the way the old app worked! Don’t fix it if it ain’t broke! Can’t open the new app and I guess the old one is shut down too. All I wanted to do is load my licenses to my wallet???!!!? Geez

The worst support! Does not work. Can’t fill out survey through app so auto renew of fishing license will work. When renewing fishing license when presented the license it is in a frame in the app where so you cannot save it or print it from your iPhone Safari browser. You cannot access a copy of your fishing license that is acceptable for a game warden from the app. The auto renew license feature has a bug where it will never auto renew your license. Contacted support and they were not helpful or cared in the least bit. The state of Alabama should find another provider for this service.

App is useless. I downloaded this app to have my fishing licenses in the wallet. I hate having to keep up with the paper copies. It won’t let me login so what’s the point. The app for FL is way better than this one. Update: Finally was able to login. It wouldn’t let me when I used my birthdate and ssn. It took my birthdate and the six digit conservation number on my printable license.

The app is useless. It’s a shame it does not work at all. It would not let me login. Then I tried skipping login and everything else I tried just turned the app off. This is a great idea if it would work!

Renew your licenses in person. Every year same thing. Most frustrating process I’ve ever encountered online. Should be simple but Nope.

Login. Can’t login

Useless. Just purchased my lic and it will not let me login. I guess not totally useless as it did take my money for the lic.

Latest version of OA-ABSOLUTELY USELESS. I downloaded app. I cannot even log in nor set it up. It continually indicates "No Internet Connection".. An absolute waste of time!!!

Useless app!. I just downloaded the app again, still does not list any hunting or fishing season dates. In the field guide it only gives basic hunting and fishing info on fishing methods and hunting methods. Where are the season dates?? The old Ranger app worked great no problems now that is obsolete and bow season starts middle of next month and this app is not ready. How are we going to report mandatory harvest if the app will not work?? Updated review: most functions work now. Most pages are copied right out of the Digest, good and bad. The fish section list limits, but no pics of saltwater fish, on the blue web link available on some species does not work, says server no access 1100 code. The deer season now shows state map, zones, bag limits, don’t know about other animals didn’t look. Game checks don’t work, I’m thinking it’s because the season is not in...see next month. As it is better now, it’s still not half as good as the previous app, lots of items still not working or just missing...but that’s not my job to check your work it’s your job. Keep improving.
