It good but it takes to long to on luck the next chapter. I'm a big fan of reading books with different styles that are put into them. I like how the app gives you a visual feel to the story along with sound, it helps boost the imagination of the story. Two things that I personally think should be improved are the ways to obtain points (you need them if you don't want to wait for the chapter to unlock) and the time length of the story. I think that the amount of how much points you need to unlock one chapter a bit much. You only earn one point a day and that's only if you comment on a story; 1 believe that we can have login bonuses where each day we login to the app we earn a certain amount of points and/ or we can watch short ads that can get us points. Now as for the wait time you only unlock one chapter per day at a certain time. It's nice to know all the stories your reading a new chapter comes out at the same time, but some people don't have patience to wait a whole day just for one chapter. It's either we have more chapters unlock at that time (for me they unlock at 7am everyday why not have 2-3 chapters unlocked at that time) or have chapters unlock every few hours (like one chapter at 7am, then another at 12pm, then one more 5pm...and so on). I would love to get in contact with you guys about the ideas Vou can put but I don't do audio calls like in the app u suggest as a way to earn points and it's. I was planning on keeping this review short but it ended up long

Pretty good. I enjoy reading books that are written in a variety of styles. I enjoy how the app combines sound and visual elements to give you a sense of the story; this lets the story's imagination soar. The methods for obtaining points (you need them if you don't want to have to wait for the chapter to unlock) and the duration of the story are two elements that, in my opinion, may use improvement. I find the number of points required to unlock one chapter to be a bit excessive. You can only receive one point per day if you leave a comment on a story. I like that we can have login incentives where we get a specific number of points every time we check in to the app, or we can watch brief advertisements to get points. Regarding the waiting period, you can only unlock one chapter each day at a specific time. It's convenient to know that every story you're reading has a new chapter available at once, but some individuals (me) don't have the patience to wait an entire day for a single chapter. It would be nice if we could get at least 3 chapters a day or at different times of the day. Also can there be more options to open points other than the "20 minute feedback call" because I don't like calling people and also being on call for a 20 minute review when I just typed this in about 3 minutes is very unnecessary. All honesty we just want to read y'alls amazing books but it get annoying sometimes when you have a very short patience and only get 1 chapter a day.

I was planning on keeping this review short but it ended up long

great story’s. so-so point system.. I'm a big fan of reading books with different styles that are put into it. You only earn one point a day and that's only if you comment on a story i believe that we can have login bonuses where each day we login to the app we earn a certain amount of points and or we can watch short ads that can get us points. Amazing.

Two things that I personally think should be improved are the ways to obtain points (you need them if you don't want to wait for the chapter to unlock) and the time length of the story. I think that the amount of how much points you need to unlock one chapter a bit much. You only earn one point a day and that's only if you comment on a story; 1 believe that we can have login bonuses where each day we login to the app we earn a certain amount of points and or we can watch short ads that can get us points. I would love to get in contact with vou quys about the ideas vou can put but I don't do audio calls like in the app u suggest as a way to earn points. I was planning on keeping this review short but it ended up long

It’s pretty great. This app is very well organized; pretty clean cut. I started using this app an hour and a half ago and fell in love with their genres. They give you a few free chapters per story and then when those run out, you have two choices. 1) wait some hours for the next chapter to become available to you or 2) pay money to get the next chapters immediately (you can pay to unlock the whole book). There are monthly subscriptions but you can also just purchase coins whenever you need to without subscribing. The only reason I’m giving it a 4/5 instead of a 5/5 is because of the wait time. I understand 30-60 minutes but seven hours is excessive. Which I suppose is the point, how else are they gonna make money? I do wish there was a better and faster way for my broke self to obtain chapters faster. You can watch a bunch of ads to gain points but I do wish that we weren’t limited to only 10 ads a day (2 points per ad and a chapter costs 10 points). There are other small annoying tasks you can fulfill but you’ll run out pretty fast. But you do get daily points as rewards for completing a chapter! (a point for a chapter/ no additional points per extra chapters) On the fifth day you get 5-6 points. So I think changes should be made but it’s a legit app and so far there aren’t any ads unless you request them for points. It also has an audio feature for most books that give background noise/music appropriate to the situation! I love that feature!

It good but it takes to long to on luck the next chapter. I'm a big fan of reading books with different styles that are put into them. like how the app gives you a visual feel to the story along with sound, it helps boost the imagination of the story. Cool 💕. 1 enjoy reading and listening to the variety or styles. I enjoy now ine app combines sound and visual elements to give you a sense of the story; this lets the story's imagination soar.

My opinion. I LOVE reading, however, this app is quite frustrating. I don’t like that you have to wait 24 hours to continue reading, ESPECIALLY when it’s a good book. I’m normally happy to pay UP TO $8.00 for an E-Book, but to purchase ’points’ through Galatea you pay $8.00 for only 110 points. Yes, some books are worth that, but these stories aren’t huge novels. I realise you can ‘earn’ points, but only 1 point PER DAY, regardless of how many books you are reading. (I’m currently reading 3 different stories & I’ve already read and paid for one of the books I’m reading, but since that was through Kindle, I have to pay for it again as the author changed companies). Anyway, I’d love to see a change in the cost of points, but other than that - definitely some good books to choose from.

Galatea, a galaxy of stories to explore!. I love this reading app Galatea! 😀 There’s a variety of different genres and the stories on Galatea are brilliant, some are so HOT that you might burn your fingers and definitely can’t put down other’s? Well don’t forget your tissues! Either way you don’t want to miss out! It’s even better now that they’ve shortened the time for the free release chapters!! It’s so easy to use and you have the option of either paying for the next chapter or waiting for it to be freely released. You also can earn coins by completing tasks! So easy!! There’s lots of amazing and unique stories to choose from! Warning though, you won’t want to put it down. Thanks Galatea!

Love / Hate. I’ve had this app for just over a week now and though I’ve enjoyed it, I’m not sure I’ll be keeping it. This is definitely a fun way to read - it’s visionary and fresh. I haven’t read a story I haven’t enjoyed so far. The only negative I have with this app is how reading 1 chapter of a story and having to wait 24 hours isn’t a pleasant experience. You can obviously purchase more points to continue however this is where the developers come across as money hungry. I understand everyone needs to make money however it is crazy expensive to purchase more points! The price that is being charged for points is way too high. I could purchase 2-3 full length novels for less. I think maybe an option for a monthly subscription might be better. Where you pay a fee regularly and can just read as much as you like without the restrictions or money restraints. This app is definitely very well put together. The stories are interesting, authors are very talented, the interface is attractive and it keeps you more on your toes reading a story with an interactive experience - I just think the point system needs to be adjusted.

Galatea. This app has stories that will capture your eyes , This app has all kind of stories romance, werewolf, fantasy and I personally liked werewolf especially The Lycans Queen. Each chapter you wait for 6 hours before continuing or you could collect coins and read the all at once. This app is better than any other reading apps I have seen you only have to wait before reading unlike other apps I have seen you have to wait until the next day to get points and sometimes the points isn’t enough or you might have to wait longer. But Galatea you will read 3 chapters in a day one in the morning well for me I read one chapter around 6am and read the next at 12pm and lastly 6pm. So I highly recommend this app to people who loves to read fictional stories. 😀

Need to add another way to get points. Galatea is a really great app. I have enjoyed its books and the way it brings sound into it. It brings the reader into the book. I also really enjoy that you have to wait for a new chapter every day. I think the only problem is that we can only get one coin a day. Although it’s a why to get people to try and get the points more. I feel like it’s making people not want to read as much. Instead of waiting 10 days to get the amount of points. It would be nice to have: a) Daily check in. After 7 days you get 5 points or however many suits the app. It’s brings people to come on once a day to achieve the 7 days to get extra points, but also still brings people to read each day. b) 2 points a day from reading one book. This would make the wait 5 days less, which would have an affect on how many people read because it’s only 5 days! Or c) Ads. Although ads have been used in many apps. It’s affective. It really works if you have good internet. Depending on how the app uses an ad system. If you take any of these into consideration then I’m sure your Galatea users will love it! I’m looking forward to more and new exciting ideas the Galatea team comes up with!

Stories. Wow, What can I say these stories have really captured me. I hav read a fair few books now and I’m hooked. I never thought I would enjoy shifter, Wolf, fantasy, romance, but these have certainly proved me wrong. I’ve been enjoying reading these to the point I’m am seriously thinking of getting the yearly subscription as the point system and buying system is driving me nuts. I can’t buy too much of the points as that’s becoming way too expensive. I have had few problems with the pints disappearing, app freezing, not loading and the streak going back to the start, this is very frustrating that’s for sure. But hands down I love these books.

Trashy yet addictive - can’t get enough. I will preface this by saying I enjoy “trashy” reads - I’m all about escapist page turners that I can lose myself in at the end of a long day. In that respect Galatea is right up my alley, and the fact that a lot of the stories are steamy supernatural thrillers make it even better. Is the writing the best? No. There are clearly some talented writers on there who put together some smart stories, but you also get ones with poor grammar, spelling mistakes and awkward dialogue. Is the 6 hour wait annoying? At times yes, particularly when it’s a really short chapter or you’re left hanging. However there are paid options too if you’re not that patient. Overall though I am really enjoying it so far and would recommend it (just make sure you have headphones in/the sound turned off if you’re in public!).

Great App for reading. Galatea app is great for bookworms and has audiobooks aswell. You can get a membership that allows you to access any books you want without waiting or you can buy points if you don’t want to wait 5 hours for a chapter. I think with the membership it should offer monthly at a cheaper price for those who can’t afford $100 straight up or maybe a two week free trial to test it out for those we actually want to have a membership but can’t afford it fully but maybe the trail will really push people to get a membership - once they have a taste to all the free access they’ll want it more 🤔 Also the five hour wait between chapters really isn’t ideal, maybe lower it to 2 hours because I personally hate waiting five hours to read a tiny chapter that is barely a full page so I’ll go on another book app to read something else and end up forgetting about Galatea until I get a notification but by that point I’m already half way through another book that I can’t be bothered switching over to again read one tiny chapter. Chapters are to small! They aren’t really chapters more like half a page or less depending on what book you read. That’s a big issue if I’m spending money on points and only get half a page or less for my points that I spent real money on 🤦‍♀️ Besides those three things the app is great.

Forcing Subscription. The app had some great stories but lately, they are forcing readers to buy a yearly subscription to read the finale of much-awaited endings. Like certain books, you wait years after the cliffhanger ending for the final and then you can only read the end of your subscription. Also, certain books will never be finished, for example, Colt. The book ends on a cliffhanger author sends in the final chapters but Galatea refuses to upload them. Audiobooks are also not getting new updates. If you subscribe and cancel you don't get money back you are stuck like a contract that needs to run out. Not like kindle unlimited where you can do month-to-month and cancel anytime you want. It is so sad really because there are so many good books on this app. A new trend also the popular books' wait time to unlock chapters have increased from 6h to 36h

Honest Reveiw. I've only been on Galatea for a couple or weeks, but some of the novels are brilliant. The plot structure and characters used just create an amazing book. However, I wish that there were more novels and easier ways to get more points, such as ads. I understand that it takes a while to get a book started, but, I believe that other people and I would read unfinished novels, as long as they are updated regularly. As for points, I just updated the app to see what the new update is and I'm excited because it has something to do with more points. I wish we could get more points each day and not have to wait as long for the chapters because then I would be more inclined to read more of the books and come back to read each day. Overall, I believe this app is great, although it needs a couple of minor improvements that could create a major impact.

Great Stories and app but not without some minor bugs.. This App is a great idea. Love the stories and have become addicted to a few characters. It’s not without its bugs, had a few crashes on startup but customer support have been helpful to get it sorted. Hopefully the update I just did sorts it once and for all!. The point system is interesting. Yes sometimes the chapters are short, but the offer of the first 5 or so chapters for free definitely get you hooked. Being able to earn daily loyalty points and earn 20 points a day through watching apps is great. Social media bonus’s are good but but a once off. Maybe offering a “task bonus” (comment on FB/Twitter) every week or fortnight for 50 or so points would be nice to engage more interaction. I also agree with another review here, an annual membership flash sale would be nice. Maybe offer it to those who maintain their streak for 100 days or so?, Even a 30% discount on the regular price would be nice for loyal readers. I also understand the wait time, I can deal with 6hrs between chapters, even 12hrs, but 20 and even 36hrs? I have almost lost interest in the story. And also having people read 1/2 a book then locking it completely unless you pay the membership feels unfair. Especially if its a book you advertise with. It does not promote you app concept very well at all. All in all, I will continue my loyalty streak and stay with this app. I just hope that Inkitt take some of these suggestions on board.

An Honest Review. This app has some pretty good stories/books on it and even though you have to wait a while to unlock chapters, I think that they are worth all the waiting, and the waiting isn’t even that bad anymore considering the fact that now you can get more points faster and it never fails to give them to you. And there are even audiobooks! With music playing in the background while you read which is really awesome. But technically as long as you are willing to commit and you have the patience the app is 100% worth it. P.S. A lot of the books have spelling errors some more than others so that may also be a downside for some ppl. But like I’m telling you right now some of the stories are WORTH IT. Anyways yeah hope that helps :)

An Honest Review;. As an avid reader and major book worm I was really excited to download the Galatea app, after viewing the ad. Immediately I was absorbed into the world of the books, such as the Millennium Wolves. The audio aspect provided an unexpected touch that works surprisingly well. However, with every positive comes a negative. I read around 3 books a week. Like most bookworms bingeing is a way of life and so the long waits between episodes is quite painful. As a low income earner unable to afford points, waiting is nearly impossible. It would be great to see a few other point gaining methods, such as ads, to offer greater opportunities to sustain my reading habits. Without being able to binge, it is easy to be distracted and move on to other titles or forget what has occurred previously. This disjointed feeling when reading stories is quite annoying. However, the stories are fabulously intriguing and the audio grabs you from the start. With a few potential improvements this app could be amazing.

Absolutely a Gem. Here’s an honest review: I personally adore the range the app currently offers, however it is limited. I loath the fantasy (alpha, werewolf) genre and the MC genre, but just noted that that’s what most stories are (not all!!) The plot points are surprisingly diverse and invigorating to read. THIS APP IS AMAZING FOR STUDENTS! The problem with wattpad, for me, is that I instinctively binge-read, but the ‘one chapter a day’ restriction works in our favour! I have something to actually LOOK FORWARD TO when I wake up (I get chapters at 7am). And I can anticipate a story before I go to bed. I am disciplined enough to save my points (you need 10 to unlock another chapter should you wish to not wait until 7am again), incase a chapter ends on a really enduring cliff. It’s so easy & simple to save up because you get 1 point a day for a comment PER STORY. I keep 5 stories in my library thus far and I’ve had Galatea for about a week or so now. That’s a chapter pass every two days (less because when you unlock a chapter, you get another point per comment). If this is confusing, it will make sense when you use the app. Not money hungry, great stories, lovely app!

Honest Review. Galatea is a fantastic app that I enjoy using everyday. It’s extremely creative and addicting, but every app has their downfalls. I believe this app’s downfalls are the pricing and wait for each chapter. It would be amazing if you could make a paperback book for each of the stories on Galatea. Each chapter comes out at 7:00 in Australian EST time. I read them when I have time, and find that the chapters are quite short. The price of points aren’t very reasonable for short chapters such as the ones being presented in this app. I am quite new to this app, but have been here long enough to see that the length of the wait, pricing, and chapter do not correspond with each other. This could be an easy problem to fix, and I would be happy to help you mend this.

Hit, hit and miss. Read on!. Avid reader here and have too many reading apps! However thought I’d give this one a go. Lots to choose from and probably enough variety to pay the $100 annual subscription eventually. Really enjoying the stories (even buying some extra points although I think they are too expensive) but the issue I have is when you have to wait 6 long hours between a free release chapter. What do you do to kill time? Watch the ads and earn some points?! I would if it didn’t reset my 6 hour wait time! One tweak suggested here that shouldn’t be reset if you pay for a chapter with points. Keep on reading!!

I wish I could binge!. I have only just downloaded the app, and I am surprised with the quality of the storytelling! In most of these apps, you have to pay extra to get all parts of the story, which really frustrates me! Thankfully this is not the case with Gatatea, which lets you have the whole package without paying a cent! The only thing I would improve would either reduce the time period between episodes (24 hours is too long!) or make earning points easier, such as watching an advertisement or suggesting story ideas. The app is still pretty new so there isn’t a great variety in stories, but I am not mad because the quality is fantastic! I hope my feedback helps the development of this app and I am expecting good things in the future!

Great stories, but free ‘points’ not given!. This is a killer!! Firstly, the stories are good - I have been searching for a great read at my local library but can’t find exactly what I want... but here on Galatea it just seems to be my style! Problem is, you read a (very short) chapter, then have a minimum of 3 hours before the next chapter is released. There’s the option to pay for a 3 month or annual subscription- annual being $100... I would love to be able to read these books without the dreaded wait, but simply can’t afford it 😣 The other option to help out those broke like me is like a point system which is great - work up to 10 points and you get to unlock another (addictive) chapter. Now here comes my biggest gripe.... ready?? There is a ‘day streak’ - a point per day, then if you get to 7 days, you get 5 much sort after points. So far, twice now, my ‘streak’ has gotten to day 5 and reset back to day 1 - even though I have logged in and read multiple chapters throughout the day - every single day single installing!! Why does it never get to day 7 and give me the 5 points?!!!!! Not happy 😔 I understand there are bills and people to pay, but I can only just imagine that if there was a flash 48hr half price annual subscription sale, the app would make SO much more money with customers taking up the deal, rather than all of us just waiting out the waiting time for the next chapter... everyone loves a sale, almost as much as they are loving these books 😉

Great books. The books are a great read. Points are expensive to buy. You can earn points free however you can only read a couple chapters a day with the free points. The 6 hour wait with some books between being able to read chapters for free is too long. This is the only reason I gave the app 4 stars. If these issues were changed then I would give a 5 star rating. Subscribing costs less then buying the coins to pay for each book. The book choices are amazing and you will never possibly run out of books to read. If your looking for a good book selection then this is the app for you as long as your happy to pay.

My honest opinion. This app is so worth it! I’m not a huge fan of the 24-hour wait between chapters, but I totally understand it. At one point we can’t be selfish and always expect free daily chapters. And you guys also need to make a profit off of this app someway. I also feel that some chapters are a bit too short for my liking, and I feel like that some of these chapters could be made longer. I would also like to include that for stories that are really long like the Millenium Wolves (my personal favourite) buying points for the whole story would be SUPER expensive, so I was thinking maybe you could have a set price if someone wanted to buy a whole story in one go. I think I’ve had this app for approximately 7 months, and I can guarantee that the stories in the app are 100% worth the waiting time. Every single story is different and they always surprise me. Galatea also offers so many stories in so many different genres for all different people, and tastes. But the one things they all have in common is that they’re all so detailed, engaging, immersive, wild and they always leave you on a cliff-hanger wanting more. I guarantee you’ll keep coming back each and every day.

Great App. So I am loving this app! The stories are generally pretty good. I have found (I’m not sure of the editing process) that spelling errors can make it difficult to read some stories. Yes I understand that English is a second language for a lot people. I do find it difficult to open chapters. Waiting so long after a small chapter kind of makes me lose interest. I have previously paid for a 12 mth subscription. But it is a lot to find the money for sometimes, so I haven’t been able to do that again. Maybe a flash sale with discounted yearly subscription would work as I think a number of people would be more inclined to buy it then. Other than that the app is awesome! 😃

Honest Review. This app has great diversity and range of stories to read. Definitely worth looking at and investing time into reading. I enjoy spending my time looking at all the different stories they have to offer. However I personally am not a fan on only offering a year subscription if there was a monthly subscription that would be a lot easier and affordable for many individuals. Getting points to read chapters continuously can be hard especially having to wait 24+ hours for a free chapter which can ruin a readers passion and motivation to read the book. The fact that there are multiple books that are only exclusive to this app makes it very unique and special but overall can be very hard to read said stories when there are so many limitations that prevent someone from reading them due to financial constraints.

Honest Review. There are some really amazing stories posted on the app. There is quite a good variety and some really well written and developed plots and characters. The points systems for reading apps will always be really annoying because I want to immediately be able to read the next chapter, however, Galatea has actually developed a really good points system where you get the next episode the next day at 7am no matter what, or you can pay 10 points for the next episode to come faster. To get 10 points is usually unrealistic unless you wish to pay however there are many ways to get free points in Galatea such as commenting on episodes and posting reviews like this one. The addition of audio to the stories is interesting I’m not quite sure how I feel about it yet however it definitely adds something to the reading experience. It can occasionally be a little distracting but alternatively it can really help to immerse you, just depends. Overall it’s a really good app I wouldn’t hesitate to download it again, even with the points system. Can’t wait to explore more series.

Great Immersive Stories. I am really enjoying this app, it has great content that is addictive, I am so into The Werewolf Chronicles. Although I can’t help but think sometimes the chapters are too short and the waiting time is too long. If the waiting time between chapters can’t change why not make the chapters a bit longer instead, or leave the chapters as they are and cut down the waiting time. Another idea make the chapter length and the waiting time more comparable for example the chapters are supposed to be between 5 and 10 mins long and the current wait time is a full 24 hours, why not make the wait time for new chapters 12 hours but increase the chapters to say between 10 and 20 mins long. That way as a reader it won’t be disappointing that you’ve waited a full day for 5 or 10 minutes of content, it would make it a bit fairer to the readers who don’t have the financial means to buy points to read quicker. Also I was wondering is there a way to go back and re-read what you’ve already read without the wait between the previously read chapters, as I find half the issue is I forget what I read in the previous chapter and spend most of the new one trying to remember and I miss half the of the chapters content.

Not worth the wait. The books are good, and that’s the only reason I didn’t give it one star. There is a 6 hour wait between chapters if you’re not willing to pay, and to pay for most of the books it costs more than $60 which is far to much for something that isn’t on paper (and if it was on paper I wouldn’t want to spend more than $20 on a book). The books I read were really good, and at first you got to read 5 or 6 chapters without the wait, and then it went to 1 chapter and then wait for 6 hours, I think I would continue with this app if the wait was shortened to 1 or 2 hours or if they made it so that you could read 2 or 3 chapters for free in a row without the wait. I’ll finish the book I’m reading and then delete this app because it’s not worth it

Totally addictive!. I was pretty sceptical about this app but there are some great stories on here! The wait between Chapters is super annoying especially if you are on a holiday and want to sink into hours of reading. I like how you get rewarded for reading streaks with points but wish there were more ways to earn points other than just buying them. I am in 50 day reading streak and I haven’t done that in years!! Some books are better than others - highly recommend the A touch of magic series- my fav so far and am up to book 4!! I think I will end up subscribing because the waiting is too much and I have literally purchased a fair amount of points already.

Great stories but frustrating app. While the stories and the interactive elements themselves are really great, if you actually enjoy reading, this app will drive you insane. The stories are released in “episodes”, which take about 3-5 minutes to read, and then you have to wait 24 HOURS to read the next episode! It is not enough. Plus you read so little of each story that by the time you’ve unlocked the next episode, you’ve forgotten what happens. You can unlock them faster by posting reviews and earning points, but it would still take you around ten days to unlock one episode. Or the other option is to buy points with money, but then why not just buy an actual book? It’s going to cost less in the long run, since you have to buy episode by episode. I wish the stories were just available to download on Kindle or something.

Must have subscription to read 1 book.. I’m extremely disappointed with this app. I was happy to buy credits to continue chapters and also waited the allotted time for the occasional chapter. But I just bought tokens to continue the story ( more than what this novel would likely sell for in stores) and I can’t continue because my only option is a yearly subscription of $97. I am an avid reader, I am happy to pay for that pleasure, but there’s no other options of subscription... I only want to read this one title and that’s not worth the cost of the subscription. My tokens are essentially wasted now as I’m bot starting another title to use them up as I won’t be able to finish that without subscribing either. I’d highly consider having less time options available.. you catch more flies with honey.

It’s a rip off. So far I like some of the books, or should I say the free chapters I have read, but waiting 5hrs to get the next free chapter, or having to use points, which you have to pay for to pay for each chapter is ridiculous! It’s 10 points per chapter! Most books definitely have more than 10 chapters!!!! And it’s not like the chapters are long either! You get crumbs! Such a rip off honestly. You’d be better off paying $7.99 for the whole book rather than 110 points which you would use before you even finish the book off. It’s highly frustrating and I wish they would make it more fair and accessible to use. I don’t mind paying for a book if I like it but I don’t like being ripped off either. I’m sure there are better book apps out

Good stories. This app has very addicting stories, sure most aren’t realistic at all but they do wrap you in and leave you wanting to read more. It’s very easy to navigate around the home page and stuff too which is good, the only issue is the wait time between chapters and having to buy points. It’s almost 6 hours to wait for the next chapter and points aren’t cheap either. Watching ads is good because you get 22 points for watching 10 ads but they’re always the same ads and it gets annoying. It’s also data/wifi free so I’m not using any of my data while reading which was honestly my main concern when I downloaded it. It’s worth getting if you’re willing to wait past the almost 6 hours or use 10 points to skip the wait. Which is also very annoying because it should be like 5 points to skip so you can read more, little bit scummy but still a good app.

A money grab. Galatea is full of great stories which are exactly my cup of tea. They hook you into a book with the first few chapters already unlocked, then when it starts getting good you either have to wait 6 hours for the next chapter, pay $100 au for the annual subscription or use 10 points. The only problem is, once you start having to unlock the chapters by waiting 6 hours or using points the chapters get ridiculously short, you might be lucky to get one or two pages if it was a hard copy story. I paid $7.99 on points and had them last me less then 30 minutes. I’d much rather pay $10 for the book and be done with it. The $100 annual subscription seems ridiculous, id happily join if it was month by month but needing that upfront seems like a scam. The whole app feels like a money grab, I want to stick it out to get to the end of this book I am reading but we’ll see.

Love the stories, hate the waiting. I’ve only had this app for one day and I’m really loving it. The stories are so good and really draw you in. The only downside is the waiting. Waiting 24 hours to read a new chapter is such a long time, especially when the chapters are quite short. And it’s so difficult to earn points to skip the wait without spending heaps of money on them. If I got 2 chapters a day and only had to wait 12 hours a chapter, that would be such an improvement. I wouldn’t mind as much. And if we could earn one point per story we comment on but only once a day, max of say 5, that would be amazing. Otherwise I know I will soon lose interest in waiting to read these books, and I know that I don’t want to lose interest.

Sincere feedback. The only thing that bothers me about this app is how long you have to wait to unlock the next chapter, which is especially frustrating when you get cliffhangers or have to wait 24 hours for a chapter that's only a few paragraphs long. I absolutely adore the stories that are included in this app as well as the atmosphere that it creates. Instead of simply reading a story, you can listen to the background sound that corresponds to the action taking place in the scene. Purchasing individual chapters in order to continue reading immediately rather than waiting is a pricey option.

Really enjoyable read. I have been enjoying the series of books I am reading. I don’t feel it’s worth spending money on points, but would be worth the subscription if it really does unlock everything, as $8.08 per week is actually great value when there are so many books at your disposal. If your not willing to spend any money, 6 hours is a long time to wait for a chapter to unlock, especially when the chapters seem so short and if your like me, you don’t wanna be reading more than one book at a time. The fact that they give you the chance to earn enough points to unlock 2 chapters a day by watching ads isn’t too bad though.

AMAZING BOOKS. I was uncertain about downloading this app because in the past other app for book reading have ask for you pay for new chapters even on the basic subscription. But this app is completely different. Just on the normal settings (no subscription) you don’t have to pay for new pages, you just have wait a few hours which is fine for me because by the time I finish work, the next page is unlocked! You don’t even feel the long wait. Alternatively when you gather more points by reading and with those points you can skip the wait! The books have been amazing and there is plenty of genres, troupes, themes etc no matter your taste in read. I high recommend getting this app!

Interactive at a cost. What a creative app! Galatea have really re-imagined fiction reading, emerging the reader into the story by igniting all sensors. The stories are highly addictive; I am hooked on Millennium Wolves, such a brilliant story line and really should be published. I like the creativity around how you can earn points by leaving comments and referring friends. It would be good to install the ‘watch add’ feature as another way of obtaining points. One of the cons would have to be the wait time. I noticed that sometimes it’s only a 7 hour wait and then others a 24 hour wait; it would be good if there was a way to make it consistent. I also appreciate that there needs to be a way to entice readers to purchase points to continue reading. The only problem is with a book as long as Millennium Wolves a reader would end up paying over $80 to read the whole book, which isn’t very realistic. I would wait for it to be published where I could by it upfront for less than half that price. Perhaps give some thought around the payment method; could you allow readers to purchase the book upfront and pay a total amount?

Great books, never read so much before!. These books are great, the stories are very immersive! however the wait time In between chapters is excessive when you are trying to get through a book, 12-36hours in betweeen chapters is way too long considering it takes less than 10mins per chapter. And you forget what you have previously read when the gap is that large. The content should be longer or the wait should be shorter. Also a monthly plan would be better than having to pay a year up front, I would happily do a monthly membership and would like to purchase however there is no option to. Overall good content but not accessible enough without paying full year up front.

Lies and rip-offs! A total scam. Don’t fall for the hyped up descriptions. You cannot ‘binge’ anything and the wait time between chapters is not 6 hours. Some chapters are 24 hours. You also cannot read anything after the first quarter for free. Unfortunately this is just long enough to get well into the story so you want to keep reading! I caved and bought enough points to complete the book which honestly I was happy to do to support authors (I highly doubt this goes to the poor authors by how deceptive this app is) Excited to read the rest of the book without having to wait between chapters I then find I’m totally roadblocked after only a few chapters. Now I cannot continue at all without paying a yearly subscription for almost $100! Please explain to me what the point of buying points is (apart from scamming people) if you need to subscribe anyway?!? Not happy this is a total SCAM.

Story is good but it’s a one and done for me!. I got sucked into reading the millennium wolves via an article. I have already been sucked in to a pay by chapter service before and swore I never would again but here we are! The story is good and I will see it through to the end ( I might be 100 when that happens!) But I will not read another book on this service the coins are far to expensive and the annual subscription is supid expensive I’m not willing to pay $97 for one book, why not offer a shorter term ( which by the look of previous reviews some have had or do have this option) rewarding readers with a shorter wait time or sale on coins would garner you a more loyal following, you could be on a winner if you were to offer coupons to readers ( I’ve logged on for 3 weeks and am yet to see a chapter appear quicker than 6 hours or a sale or a coupon) this was also dusting Black Friday and cyber Monday - Good book but it’s one and done for me.

Irritating. First off, I really do love the stories that this app has. They are engaging and very well written. Even though the chapters are short, the writing and the plot almost makes up for it. However, having to wait 6, then 12, then 24 and now 36 hours to read the next “chapter” which happens to be only a five minute read, is making it less worth my while. There are ways of getting “free” points, however, with each chapter, the amount of points increases too. As soon as there is a lull in the end of a chapter, my interest will undoubtably be diffused and I already know I’m not going to finish the book. 160 chapters, each a five minute read should take me less than 14 hours to read, but at this rate, I know it will take me a year, my attention span does not last that long. I feel awful writing this because I am really enjoying the book, but the amount of time needed for me wait to just read for another five minutes is too much to be reasonable.

Great app. I’ve been using this app on and off for about 3, maybe 4 years, maybe 2, somewhere in there, but it’s been a hot minute. I remember when we had to wait 24 hours for a new chapter, and everyone complains about 6 hours, and there’s so many more chances to gain points compared to when I first started using. But the app is quite addicting I’ll normally binge the app so much for like 2 months, then not touch it for 2 months then come back and do it again. But honestly I have no complaints with the app, they do what they have to do to earn an income, but you give you plenty of free options, and they don’t even force you to watch ads unless you chose to.

Just buy the subscription. I love reading so the subscription fee equates to the price of 5 or 6 books over a year. I used to buy far more than that until this app. There are many well written books on here but there are also ones that should not have got published they are so bad. The app gets a bit buggy sometimes but a reinstall usually fixes and if it doesn’t the tech support are usually able to help. The positive outweighs the negative. To all of the reviewers griping about points, wait times, short chapters etc just buy the subscription or there are these buildings called libraries where you can borrow books at no cost.

My opinion. It has great stories and both great for under age and over age but it is such a long wait time that it just doesn’t become worth it at the end of the day. I love the stories but the problem is I don’t always have all day to wait for one chapter or two chapters, so I end up leaving it sometimes and don’t come back to it for months and just a sad fact of this app I mean I have others that I don’t have to wait as equally as long as GALATEA, so I go read them and this app so just gets left behind as much as I love it and I love Reading the stories I just don’t have the time all in the world to be doing one thing and I enjoy books on demand, and the fact is I can’t afford to buy coins every time I want to read a couple of chapters so I’d love it if they change the hours maybe to even one or two hours but anything more it’s just too long but don’t get me wrong I still read the stories and I still have a great time with it I just get bored.

Honest review. want to start off by saying that I think this app is really entertaining. The story that I am reading is fun to read and I look forward to reading everyday. But, there is one thing that I don’t like. Personally, I like to read these like of stories and get lost in them and read to the very end. But, there is a problem. The app runs of a currency called “points”. When you first get the app, you get 10 points. In order to read another chapter of the story right away, without having to wait another day when the time ends, you have to spend 10 points. Once you use the 10 points that you got once for free, you have to start buying the points. For me, sometimes I don’t really lot like to spend money in apps, and I understand that the app has to get money somehow, but sometimes it’s hard to get really into a chapter of the story and then realize that you have to wait the next day for the next chapter to be available. But on the contrary, this can help people to not loose themselves in stories or on their phones. Having one story a day available means that you won’t be spending a long time on your phone. So, long story short, I'm torn of this app. This is just a heads up to the people who are considering to get this app.

My gripe…. Don’t get me wrong…I love the stories. I don’t even mind having to wait 6 hours for another chapter. I don’t even mind the short chapters. The immersive sounds don’t even count, I usually turn it off. It’s distracting. How do you immerse yourself in a story that you’d have to edit first? I want to read a book not edit it. Every time I read, I’d have to edit the sentences in my head before I can understand anything in a 1 paragraph chapter. Allowing a book to be in a “published” state with errors like having 2 connecting words next to each other is a no-no. Or using words incorrectly like bear (meaning carry) instead of bare (meaning naked) is shameful. How do you call yourselves a “book” app is beyond me. One (1) read through would have revealed errors that a spellchecker and grammar checker would have ignored or bypassed. Asking readers to pay for something that you (Galatea/Inkitt) would have just uploaded from the authors without so much as a read through is just appalling. And you expect to be paid for this?!?

My Opinion. This app is fantastic. It has a wide variety of reading material, and caters to my every reading need. It is great that there are ways to get free points, and the option to buy some points if that’s an option for you. The only issue I’ve had - like so many others - is it is too expensive to buy the unlimited version. Not everyone has over $100 to pay straight up. A weekly subscription would be fantastic! The waiting times between chapters vary anywhere between 4-6 hours, it would be so much better if they were a shorter time. My last complaint is that for the amount of time you have to wait, the chapters are too small.

It’s an okay app but could be better. So far I’ve finished Book 1 of my first novel, though apart from how short the chapters are l like the audiobook and immersive sound and you can mute it if you wish. The points however 2 per ad is fine (10 times) and I find that due to how short the chapters are that 10 points is a lot. Also for those who can’t afford to pay for a year, that money is put to food or bills and asks a lot. Maybe make the chapters cheaper and the time limit a little less. Also new comers get the first few books books free as l feel it would bring more attention and audience. Also check the grammar and punctuation and such more as sometimes it’s incorrect and more points per day like 10.

Excellent. I think this is by far the best for pricing and quality. You get immersive books with sound and music, which can really add to the feeling of the read. You have the ability depending on books for free chapters per certain amount of time. During covid this was very short like 30 mins, I currently get one free chapter a day for my favourite book. I don’t know if others are shorter for the time being, maybe? You can earn points by watching videos and other things too! The subscription is worth the price vs a payment for coins, you end up way better off doing this. This isn’t like other apps where the books are poorly written, drawn out with spelling and punctuation errors, you are paying for quality books 10 out of 10 times and the books!

Addicted is an understatement!!. Love the app and stories so much that I purchased the yearly subscription. Totally worth it considering how much paper books cost. Most of the stories are fantastic, although there can be a LOT of spelling/grammar mistakes. Galatea needs to do better on proof reading before releasing. I would also suggest adding an extra security feature available such as Face/finger ID or pin as there are a lot of 🔥🌶️ reads and you don’t want the wrong eyes reading and also some sort of rating/review for each story. This would also help with future recommendations for each reader.

Too much waiting. it’s amazing I love it but the waiting time is bad because there are so many chapters and we have to wait a whole day just to read the next one take the millennium wolves for example it has over a hounded chapters and we have to wait a whole day like why not seven hours or eight or less. less is nice but I understand it’s just like that but like can you take the waiting time down and when we write a comment can we get two point and not one I understand because some people will just flick through a whole chapter and write a comment just to get a point so I can understand that but the waiting time has to come down please i among many many other would agree that the waiting time is way to long with such great stories on here it’s unbelievable that you have to wait that long with amazing stories but so far my favourites are the millennium wolves and reapers claim they are both fantastic stories to read and I hope more is still coming but I just found this app not long ago and already love it the only thing to complain about is that waiting time all in all I love the stories and the app

Good for romance. So much fun!!! There is a lot of variety, but there aren’t many books where the main couple are queer. It could definitely use some more diversity and representation. If you just want some romance, then it’s a good place to look.

Highly Recommendable. This app is so captivating. It has me hooked for hours at times. And the books that are on this app are well written.

Very good app!! Love it!. I enjoy not having to collect too many points.

Love the stories. Love the stories all the books I have read so far I haven’t read a bad book yet Authors are awesome but I’ve been reading. I only wish there wasn’t really long wait times. I prefer the books but only have an hour. Wait time lol.

Highly recommendable. I would highly recommend the app to people who loves romance novels, the only thing that bothers me is the wait to read the novels, I understand that you don’t want the readers to read the whole book in a day but 24 hours to wait for a chapter is too much

Galatea. I highly recommend this app. There are great stories

Not free unless you want to wait 6 hours a chapter. Download as I saw it was advertised as free and unlimited books. Downloading is free and the first chapter of a book you can read right away but every other chapter you have to wait 6 hours for it to unlock. If you pay a monthly fee you can have everything opened or you can buy chapters. Not not a free reading app.

Cute app. Love using it for the adventure stories helps distract when I’m bored W <3

Skyler Mason. love her books! one of my top authors on galatea

Categories missing. I am rewriting my review of this app as there has been changes being made that has caused my opinion to change. I currently have a full membership, that by the way costs approximately $84 CAD annually. In this membership it gives you access to unlimited books. The books on this application have been amazing. I enjoyed the membership for the first year and halfway through the second year. During the second year glitches began to occur were the books would not be available when they said they would be, also crashing site where trouble with downloading occurred. Now, the problem is that when a book comes out this site only releases the first few chapters then at the last chapter it says will continue next whatever day of the week they say and 8/10 times it does not appear. The authors have said they send in the completed versions of their books and this is the site that is doing this. So currently I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS APP UNTIL FIXED!!!!!

Good stories. Enjoy the stories but I wish that there were more ways to read more chapters the wait is too long to unlock another chapter and there are no really good chances to earn coins without having to join stuff, download more items or pay.

Recommend. I really like the content that some of the books have. I may have not been using for a while but I really enjoyed my time here.

definitely recommend!. this app is such a good one; i have difficulties finding good reading apps and this one takes the cake. i love the books i’ve started. the only thing that sucks is that you have to wait around 6 hours to read one chapter, and when you do have points, you use them up so fast.

Galatea.... The wait period of 24 hours to read a chapter that honestly takes like 2-3 minutes to read if even is ridiculous. It should be shorter or give your readers the option to write a review or watch an ad (do like 5 a day) to continue reading on. The stories are great and make you want to keep reading but to have to pay to continue or wait 24 HOURS is a bit absurd. Definitely should look into changing that!

Highly recommended!. In love with this app !

Review. Perfect story app for a person to spend time with themselves. The only bad side is it is paid....

I love this. this app is amazing!!

Jdjdn. I love the stories and the app is so easy to use

Awesome. Love the app, very easy to use

Not to Shabby. Imma say it like it great and all but to wait 6 flipping hours to read the next chapter is so annoying I am only writing this review to get points j read the next chapter. BYE…

Would recommend. Good app

Love the Reads. I love that you get so many novels to choose from. Sometimes waiting for the next chapter can’t be hard, especially when your hooked in a great read! I definitely have some fave novels right now , millenium wolves! Can’t say enough about it!

Je recommande. J’adore !!! Belle variété

Addicting. I love this app: it gives me something to read everyday and some of these stories are amazing. It’s addicting really. Worth the shot to look into. You’ll thank me later ;)

Good. It is a very cool and and it’s a great idea so many good stories but the wait is painful

meh. I found a good book but it’s too long to wait for chapters and way too expensive to pay… if we could unblock everything month by month I would pay, but for the whole year in advance NO THANKS

Customer service good. I have lost progress many times but customer service had always been helpful. I would give 5 stars if issues get resolved.

H. Good

So far alright. So far so good.

Ego Maniac. Good character development and really sweet surprises throughout. The author clearly has a bright sense of humour. I’m hoping for several sequels

Highly recommend. I am addicted to these stories they are all great I just can’t get enough! The only issue I do have is the amount of time it takes to unlock the next chapter.

Great app!. Good just don’t like the point system!

Fire fighter. Loving this story. 5 stars won’t let me click them

Vraiment bon. Divers livres, divers univers j’adore

Galatea. J’adore ont en deviens accro assez vite

Expensive. Expensive app

Love this app. I love this app and would recommend to any readers out there. But I wish the waiting period was shorter and that there was more ways to earn coins

Really cool!🤩. The app is really nice and easy to use. I love the books that are on there I’m so glad the apps free!

Time vs stories. I’m enjoying the stories available to select from but unfortunately having to wait over 35 hours for the next chapter is a little ridiculous.

5 stars. Cheap and good reads

Frustrating. Frustrating to wait so long for more chapters. I can’t justify paying $85 for the lifetime Membership in one payment. Yes it’s worth it I’m sure but I can’t do it. Points for more chapters are hard to earn Once you exasperate the options initially.

Great Reads. Romance novel enthusiasts will enjoy these novels greatly. The wait time and limited number of recurring ways to get more points can be somewhat annoying for financially challenged readers. The content is wonderful but the accessibility needs work.

Highly recommended. I would highly recommend this app to anyone, all the stories I have read so far are interesting. Those who love romantic stories this is the place to be.

Highly recommend. I really recommend this app for anyone who loves to read or listen to audio books! I honestly love this app!

Roman,. Highly recommend, some of the best books I’ve read on this app.

Love it. I love this app and and all the stories I can read on it.

Definitely Recommended!!. This app has a lot of surprises and stories with open options for your imagination though the 6 hour wait makes me so impatient but I really enjoy their books!! It makes me want to read more and excessively at that, I recommend this site you’ll love it!

Parfait. Jadore vraiment beaucoup cette application de livres

Review. I love the app and the stories. Only problem I have is the wait time for chapters. Besides that great app.!

Idk. I don’t like how u need point for every chapter it would have been better is it was like every 5 chapters or something but other then that it’s good and entertaining

❤️. I'm a big fan of reading books with different styles that are put into it. I like how the app gives you a visual feel to the story along with sound, it helps boost the imagination of the story. Two things that 1 personally think should be improved are the ways to obtain points (you need them if vou don't want to wait for the chapter to unlock) and the time length of the story. I think that the amount of how much points you need to unlock one chapter a bit much. You only earn one point a dav and that's only if vou comment on a storv: I believe that we can have login bonuses where each day we login to the app we earn a certain amount of points and/ or we can watch short ads that can get us points. I would love to get in contact with you guys about the ideas you can put but I don't do audio calls like in the app u suggest as a way to earn points. I was planning on keeping this review short but it ended up long.

Great App with Room for Improvement. I have been using this app for quite some time now, and I must say that I absolutely love it. The books available are amazing, and the overall experience is great. However, there are a few areas where I feel the app could be improved. Firstly, I would love to see more characters unlocked at a time. It can be a bit frustrating to have to wait for a new character to be unlocked, especially when you're really invested in the story. It would be great if the app could offer more options for character selection. Secondly, the time between chapters can sometimes feel too long. I understand that the app wants to create anticipation and keep users engaged, but waiting for a long time between chapters can be a bit tedious. It would be nice if the time between chapters could be shortened to keep the momentum of the story going. Lastly, I find it confusing why some books have different time intervals between chapters. It seems inconsistent and doesn't make much sense to me. It would be helpful if the app could provide some clarity on why this is the case. Overall, I think this app has a lot of potential and provides a great reading experience. With a few improvements, such as unlocking more characters at a time and reducing the time between chapters, it could become even better. I hope the developers take these suggestions into consideration and continue to enhance the app for an even more enjoyable reading experience.

Two things that I personally think should be improved are the ways to obtain points (you need them if you don't want to wait for the chapter to unlock) and the time length of the story. I think that the amount of how much points you need to unlock one chapter a bit much. You only earn one point a day and that's only if you comment on a story; I believe that we can have login bonuses where each day we login to the app we earn a certain amount of points and/or we can watch short ads that can get us points. Now as for the wait time you only unlock one chapter per day at a certain time. It's nice to know all the stories your reading a new chapter comes out at the same time, but some people don't have patience to wait a whole day just for one chapter. It's either we have more chapters unlock at that time (for me they unlock at 7am everyday why not have 2-3 chapters unlocked at that time) or have chapters unlock every few hours (like one chapter at 7am, then another at 12pm, then one more 5pm…and so on). I would love to get in contact with vou quys about the ideas vou can put but I don't do audio calls like in the app u suggest as a way to earn points. I was planning on keeping this review short but it ended up long

Would like if it was easier to unlock chapters. 1 enjoy reading books that are written in a variety of styles. Also can there be more options to open points other than the "20 minute feedback call" because I don't like calling people and also being on call for a 20 minute review when I just typed this in about 3 minutes is very unnecessary

Honest Review. This app has exactly the books I’ve wanted to read, and the thing is, I hate reading. With that being said, the flaws that come with this app make it incredibly frustrating to read, for starters, they give you two chapters for free and then make you wait 6 hours to read the next chapter, one SINGLE chapter, and if you manage to build up points and pay with them, they increase the wait times, I went from having to wait 6 hours, then it was 11, and yesterday it was 17 HOURS for a SINGLE chapter. The second issue I have is that they have free books that you can unlock chapters for free but for a limited amount of time, they gave me this book for free and I was starting to enjoy it! The downside was that when my time was up and the book reset, they put me on chapter 6 which I had already read, and expected me to wait 6-24 hours just for me to get to chapter 7 even though I had read up to chapter 30, there’s absolutely no WAY i was gonna wait 6 hours for each chapter all the way up to 30 when I wasn’t even going to be reading them. The unfortunate thing is that for most of these books I literally couldn’t find them anywhere else, I looked everywhere and was even willing to purchase them, but they’re stuck on this app. This app made me kind of like reading, but the flaws outweigh the good of this app, therefore, I’m deleting it. Unless you like to wait up to 17 hours for a single chapter, I’d steer clear of this app.

I would love to get in contact with vou quys about the ideas vou can put but I don't do audio calls like in the app u suggest as a way to earn points. GALATEA. I'm a big fan of reading books with different styles that are put into it. I like how the app gives you a visual feel to the story along with sound, it helps boost the imagination of the story. Love it but but the wait. I love this app but if you few a things that wish to could be to change with would only get chapter day understand could wanting people to subscribe. I wish we could have 3-5 chapters a day or give give 2 chapters every two or hour or something. I fee that there are different a better ways to get people to subscribe. It feels like we are basically forced to subscribe to actually enjoy the book or even read. If that was the case I could just use kindle instead. I was never big on reading books online or on my phone, but this is a game changer. I kept seeing people talk about it on Facebook and decided to give it a try. I’m happy I did outside of what I stated earlier about the subscription issue. I love it there’s plenty varieties. I found some things I never thought I would be interested in. Like the audio feature is also nice it helps me get a feel for the chapter. Usually I prefer it quiet while I read. I was never big on reading books online or on my phone, but this is a game changer I love it there’s a variety of books to read. I would recommend this app to others. I’ve also tried the sister app and I enjoyed that also it’s lotta similarities minus the subscription thing. I don’t understand why we’d have to be on a 20 minute call to earn more points when you’re not doing anything different on the 20 minute call but giving a review when we can type a review that takes less than five minutes.

Honest Review. So I’ve seen a lot of reviews on this app that just say the same thing over and over. Here’s my honest opinion of the app. Over all the experience reading the books in enjoyable, especially those with the “immersive experience” that gives background sounds to the story and make it that much more vibrant. I also highly enjoy the availability of the audiobooks for when I want to listen to something while I’m getting house work done. I went ahead and did a subscription because of the amount of books I’m going through. I do understand that people want to be able to access more freely but you also have to understand that these authors are only making money if the app is making money. That’s how it works and these authors, though they enjoy writing, deserve to be compensated for the hard work they have put into these books for our entertainment. On a side note… the app does seem to glitch every once in a while and I have had to uninstall and reinstall it in order to make it work again because even though updates have occurred, oddly you can’t just click update like you do with most other apps. Not sure if this is an issue in the programming or what but it’s a bit time consuming and annoying. However, it’s not dire and I assume it will be addressed at some point. Over all a very good app with a wonderful variety of books and audiobooks to choose from.👍🏻👍🏻

Love the stories. I love the stories, some I can really get into even if it’s just a romance. So many different authors giving good story lines. I have read so many of the books here and I didn’t at first like the long wait but it was ok because I don’t need to sit around all day reading. The points system WAS ok also and most of the time I would buy points just so I could read on but now on one story I’m ready the points went from 10 points to 16 and now 22. What’s worse than that is you can’t read the next chapter for 22 hours unless you use the 22 points. To me that is ridiculous. This really makes me upset at the way Galatea has changed things from bad to worse. I can’t afford to pay for points when the amount goes up so high. I once bought the 100 points and used them all to finish a book but the points for each chapter was 10, the book was really good and I didn’t want to wait. I can’t do that now if it’s gonna cost me 22 points a chapter or more. It was bad enough to wait 6 hrs but that isn’t as bad as having to wait a whole day. You say it’s to help your authors so maybe more people will pay for membership but I can’t afford the price of that. That’s why I read the other way. I’m afraid you will lose more readers by changing the amount of the points, because I’m tired of watching the same ads all the time over and over to get more points too. They take up your time also. Why change a good thing?

I love it but more chapters a day and points improvement. I love reading books. They tell a story. I like the app but I wouldn’t say I love it or exactly recommend in first maybe third or fourth choice for reading app recommendations. The reason I say this is because the stories are great. But the things you have to do to get to the next chapter isn’t exactly worth it. You have to wait 35 hours (a day and 11 hours) for the next chapter (one chapter) I think for the wait to be that long there should be at least 3 chapters unlocked a day. Some people aren’t patient to wait especially if we are waiting that long just to only unlock one chapter. Second, the number of points to skip the wait is a bit excessive. We only earn one point for logging in each day. They only option to earn points(if you have done some of the other steps but you only get one chance to do so) is to watch ads but you only earn 2 points at a time and you only get to watch a few ads at a time then, you have to wait till 7 am to watch more. Or, you could buy points but not everyone has the time, money, or wants to do that. Also, you can earn more points by scheduling a 20 minute feedback call. But I think 20 minutes and calling is completely unnecessary if I just wrote this review in under 2 minutes. Overall, the stories are good and the app is great but it needs some improvement and adjustments.

Awesome stories-buggy app!. Update April 12, 2023 I hope my review is posted/read bc it seems all the ones in the App Store were basically the same. Anyway I don’t have to delete and reinstall the app as often as before so the updates have helped. I don’t get the crazy scaling up of the time & points on some of the books. I’m trying to read “When the Night Falls” and it started out with a 6h timer between chapters or 10 points to go early. I’m only on chapter 13 and now have a 30h timer or 18 point cost. That is up from yesterday’s 24h wait or 16 point cost. This makes no sense to me that it adds 6h more each time. There are 43 chapters in this story at this rate I won’t finish it this year. 🫤 I have had the Inkitt app for many years and enjoyed it so I loaded this one and really have enjoyed the stories I got to read however I only finished the few I started due to being an avid reader and persistence bc I had to delete and reinstall the app about every 2-3 days. I did contact support and they told me the same stuff I read on the help menu. One time I lost my ad points though support was able to give those back. This last time I have lost my reading streak and it set me back to day one, which is where I get some of my points. I love to read and while this app has some good stories for me there are plenty of other stories to read without the hassle.

I would love to get in contact with vou quys about the ideas vou can put but I don't do audio calls like in the app u suggest as a way to earn points. I was planning on keeping this review short but it ended up long

Good selection of books, however... Gatea has a diverse selection of romance novels, so it makes it a great application because you won’t get bored with the selection. A feature I really like is the immersive reading with the music and effects you can choose to have on with many of the books. Honestly the only downfall this application has is the point system, there are ways for you to earn points without having to buy them. That being said if you’re deep into the middle of the book and you’ve run out of unlocked chapters it’s likely you will go through all of the different ways to unlock points. You’ll have to wait six hours for the next chapter to be unlocked after reading your last chapter if you don’t want to buy the points. Six hours is entirely too long to wait when you’re in the middle of a good story that you can’t put down. The thing I don’t get is why they don’t just have a monthly subscription option for a reasonable fee rather than the only option being a yearly subscription. Mind you the yearly subscription is about 60 bucks and that’s too deep for my pockets, especially when I can just go to the library and find something to read. I hope they change this up because I certainly don’t have the patience to do this for every single book I want to read. All in all it’s a good app, if you don’t mind paying the money I say go for it, or if you have the patience to wait to unlock the chapters then it’s a great app.
