First Review. I’m sad that there aren’t more games like this one. I throughly enjoyed playing this game. I only wish it was longer. It only took me a day to play, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I hope to see more games like this from this company!

Interesting concept, but boring.. I found the game quite boring, to be honest. I somewhat enjoyed the secrets and finding & unlocking new rooms around the house, and the graphics are nice, but the rest of it is quite not my cup of tea. The game is short and there are barely an puzzles. All you do is walk around a house, picking up & dropping useless stuff and listening to tapes & reading notes. The story isn’t really good either.

Lives up to reputation. UPDATE: Developer suggestion worked perfectly. Fixed all my problems. I finished the game tonight, and it was one of the most satisfying I’ve had in nearly 40 years of gaming. Very moody, great sound, and a mystery story that draws you in. I’m having targeting problems on iPad where the wrong item is often selected on iPad Pro in landscape: the target reticle lights correctly, but activating the selection often works on a nearby item, which is frustrating. Please fix this, but enjoying the game when I can work around that issue. Will update after fix.

A Waste of Money. I was so excited about this game! I payed five dollars for it- and I try my best to get only free apps. I thought this would be a long, immersive, complicated game. I finished it in less than an hour. The story was excellent, but it completely went off the rails. The sister ran away and the parents were on a trip to save their marriage. I was expecting there to be a ghostly subplot, as their were frequent references to a dead relative, summoning/ritualistic crap in a secret room, and all these secret passages. I thought it would turn into a murder mystery. It didn’t. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. For a five dollar app, it should have been much longer and much more complicated.

Pre-pubescent yawner. I enjoy exploration puzzles that force me to think and allow me to immerse in another world. I don't like horror or jump scares. This game gets points for holding the tension without being scary, but that's the only thing good about it. The house is boring to explore. You spend a lot of time wandering around, pointlessly picking up things and discarding them. The storyline is rife with teenage, melodramatic twaddle. I got so bored, I Googled to find the plot. I'm glad I did, because it saved me the time of bothering to finish this "game." If you're a teenage girl, you might like this. I, for one, would like a refund.

Cringe Level 9000. I’m not gonna lie, I was bored and downloaded this game not knowing anything about it. I saw pictures of a creepy, dim lit house and the mechanics of what looked like a puzzle game but I was very surprised when I realized I was basically playing a walking simulator story based game. I was disappointed in myself for not looking in to it before paying $5 but thought ok I’ll play through it maybe the story will capture my interest. Now look, I’m all for equality and rights but the story, dialogue, and characters were all so beyond cringe to me it got me mad. Nobody in real life speaks like this, acts like this, thinks like this is what I kept saying to myself throughout the play through. There are no twists, no thrills and no fun in this game. The gameplay consists of walking around and reading notes scattered around the house and that’s it. So why not just make it a short story or film? I do not like games like this, Florence, and Old Man’s Journey where it is clearly meant to be a short story or video but they throw in some nonsense gameplay element in it.

Critically an expressive game. the game was a very tender. Even if my own views don’t agree with the characters, I cannot deny that the creator of the game, recognizes very well the desire to escape in a trapped and sometimes forbidden love. It was sweet, not a game for everyone though.

A pointless maze of nothingness. Okay, I have been so excited about this game. I am a huge fan of puzzle/point and click Myst/The Room/Forever lost type of games. I thought, how cool a game set on a stormy night, searching an empty house to find your lost family. Well...NOPE that’s not this game. It is in fact a long, drawn-out and highly BORING story of a teenage girl in the mid- nineties finding acceptance and love. Even my description of this game is more exciting than the game itself. I thought it would have puzzles or be even a tiny bit exciting. It is not. I kept thinking there would be something creepy or a plot twist somewhere, but again, nothing. The ending was more lame then the beginning. Nothing was gained except by the company in the form of the money I shelled out for this pointless teenaged massively b-rated mini story of boringness.

Absolutely beautiful. Honestly I’m very surprised to see all the negative reviews on this game, the game is so much more than in the description. Yes, granted it may be a love story instead of a puzzle but it’s such an amazing love story, even at the very last tape I felt like I WAS Sam, I felt heartbroken at the end and it left me breathless. In my opinion this game deserves much more positive feedback, considering how hard it is to write and make a story as great as this.

Best interactive game ever.. From the first time I stepped into that house to the last corner I turned, I had an idea of what the ending would be. It was dark, even a little gruesome. But what I found was above all expectations. This story will be in my heart forever. Maybe I’ll make a movie or short film out of it someday. You people are amazing, thank you. Can’t move. Navigating through the house is hell. There were instructions in the beginning I think but I can’t tell because you can’t expand for them and the same is true for some text clues in the game. But worst, I’m stuck on top of a dryer in the game for some reason and can’t move. I can’t continue game play and there’s no way/or impossible to find way to access help in the app or on the developer website. I need a fix or my money back if I can’t actually continue the game.

beautiful story. Sam could be an exact replica of myself as a teenager. This story hit almost uncomfortably close to home for me, and I’m positive it could do the same for numerous queer youth. Thank you for this beautiful experience and thank you for telling our stories.

Unsatisfying & Predictable *SPOILERS*. I went into this game expecting Edith Finch-style storytelling. With so many positive reviews and so much praise, I didn’t really think I could go wrong. I was sadly mistaken. SPOILERS GALORE - Not only is this story highly predictable, I was able to beat it without several key parts of the storyline, which was entirely disheartening, and a total letdown. I was able to find the final “Letters to Katie” and end the game without ever finding the combinations to Sam’s locker or the safe in the basement. This led me to a walkthrough that I attempted because I wanted to flesh out the entire story, but I still haven’t found the key elements that the walkthrough entailed, so I’m wondering if my DL could have possibly had a glitch? I never found the 2nd half of Sam’s locker combo, even though I SCOURED the secret panel. Overall, I’m very disappointed.

Boring lame and disappointing. If I could only give it half a star instead of a whole on a would! There’s not much to do. Saw needs to be a tad more creepy and scary but not to much. I finished it in like 30 mins there needs to be more to do and more secrets to uncover. I’ve played games like this and this is the new low of disappointment 😒 like there is so much tht needes to be added to make it better. I am disappointed because again not much to do and I payed 5 dallors to play this I was expecting more stuff to do and see and uncover....... boring, lame and disappointing

Amazing. This game was just really good. I loved the graphics, and the immersive storyline. It made me feel happy to get better representation in the media. Overall the game is really important to me, and I play it quite often.

For those that love details. I really like collecting every last little item when I play games and this was perfect for me. I liked wandering around and inspecting the house while the story unfolded. Sure it’s not “hard” but it’s not meant to be. I’m a 90’s kid and listened (and still do listen) to Bratmobile and Heavens to Betsy, so that was a super fun surprise!! Graphics are great, I didn’t come across any bugs, and the game led me easily from one point to the next without any confusion. I’ll definitely be looking forward to any future games.

Sweet Game. I can't believe it took me so long to find this gem of a game. It's all my favorite aspects of play with none of the detractors. There's a big creepy house to explore, no worries that anything is going to attack or startle you, the calming/meditative sounds of a rainstorm, and an intriguing story that unfolds along the way. Off to look for more from these developers!

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!. I honestly can not recommend this game enough. It’s more like an interactive story. You just go through the house with no enemies, no one chasing you, and you uncover a beautiful story that years ago gave this little q*eer person (me) such warm fuzzies!!! So happy to see it’s in the App Store! I’ve already played it and I spent the money again just to give recognition to LGBTQIAA+ content!! Thank you!!!

Beautiful graphics and immersive setting doesn’t make up for lackluster storyline and gameplay!. The graphics are beautiful and there is plenty of detail while exploring the house to the sound of thunder in the background. However, it’s easy to get lost as many of the clues don’t contribute to the main storyline, and the storyline is otherwise fairly dull with only a single narrative with zero interaction to other characters. Twenty years ago (during the actual 90s) the LBGT spin would have been slightly more original, but in this day and age it seems terribly rehashed and (fortunately) commonplace. Hence, what exactly is the wow factor? There are other games, such as “Life is Strange”, with a very similar story as to a strong female protagonist bond but way better storyline (and interaction between other characters).

Best story, very atmospheric. I have 3 versions of this game first bought off steam back in 2013! I have the console edition and now the mobile app version I love speed running this game!

A+++. This game is amazing. Played it on my MBP four or five years ago, but was interested to see how it translated over to mobile, and I was not disappointed (aside from figuring myself overdue on revisiting, I just liked the idea of owning it on my phone). People who are criticizing are missing the point. Also, the Letters To Katie, which some have complained about not being able to read are what I speculate to have been Sam’s narrations throughout the gameplay (obviously she’s not there reading to you as you’re hearing it). Anyways, if you’re in the mood to for immersive storytelling, 90’s nostalgia, a solid (albeit somewhat limited) riot grrl soundtrack, and emo feels, this game is totally worth a spin.

Such a thrilling game. So I was scared and getting weird vibes about the house and was bored until I got to the part where they think there is a ghost in the house so I grabbed Stegner and hid in the parents room closet I still don’t understand the full game but it’s still good I like the details it’s just I want to know WHY the grandpa or whatever his role in the family is turned psycho

Gone Home. This game was so fun! The only thing is when I first got into the game I was confused on what to do and what to look at because you can pick up everything so I didn’t know what I should pick up and what I shouldn’t, so I ended up looking up how to play it but the game overall is fun the graphics is so good and I absolutely had fun playing this game. what I will say is that I would prefer if people the age 15 and up play because you really have to use your brain!! But it’s worth the $5

I LOVED IT😻. I really had fun playing this game I’m pretty young and just getting my first cash card and stuff and this was one of the first games I bought and it was very good to my surprise😁I just wish it could be longer🙃other then that 5 stars

Has promise. I think the narrative would have better been served if there was an actual poltergeist lurking around the house. It is very creepy but the end result is very anti climactic. The only mystery left unsolved is why the house is empty. Katie returned home to an empty house and you never find out why or where everyone went. So that was disappointing. Also why did we have to read all the short stories and pick up every single can of soda? I just started putting them in the garbage cans because I was bored.

Navigation. I really love atmospheric puzzle games but I wish this was a point and click—closer to Forever Lost or Long Walk. The navigation is very hard to control and there isn’t any rhyme or reason to picking up or using objects. Screenshots looked like they had so much promise but it’s more frustrating than fun to explore. Disappointed unfortunately.

Nostalgia for the 90’s. I would agree with other reviews. The objective of this game should be driven by curiosity and a desire to explore. Don’t rush to find clues and solve the game. Just slowly observe and discover items in the house. Some items have clues, other items just remind you of life in the 90’s and the nostalgia of growing up. Play this game when you have time and expect the entertainment to be more like reading a book that builds rather than a game with instant gratification. Highly recommended. I miss all the characters already and will play it again.

Only partial MFi controller support. Great game, I’ve played it on both PC and console, so I’m impressed they were able to get it working on mobile. However, MFi controller support is only partial. It seems that only the left analog stick is correctly mapped. Please fix this guys. Will update review if it gets patched

Great Overall Game. I thought this game was gripping, had a great storyline, and plus, the graphics are amazing. I had so much fun uncovering all the mystery’s, and I liked that you found something, such as a band poster, and then found a note or such explaining it. I don’t know why but I just love that kind of story telling. I just have one thing though, and it’s not anything bad however, I am kind of a scaredy-cat, and it took my a while to not be a little off-putted when opening dark rooms and looking out the stormy windows. I know it’s not a scary game, and that you can make it so that all the lights are already on, but I feel it definitely changes the experience. Just a little note for anyone who doesn’t do so well with the dark and such. Other then that I just love this game. Well, ta-ta!

Only a few hours of fun. I loved the game! It scared me because of the dark theme. It felt like an escape room game with more essence as to why you are there and searching for an answer. Well, the answer doesn't come as a shock when you’re about 60% into the game. I’m not disappointed, in fact, I enjoyed the game very much! I just feel like the 4.99 is a little to much for a short game. Details were superb and I loved the nostalgia of the 90s while playing.

Amazing. I got this game because I’m on a mystery/puzzle game kick; I had no idea what it was about besides that you come home to an empty house. What I found was a great mystery and a poignant story about love. To top it all off it had great 90s gurl punk music. This made me cry more than once, both times because it’s just so sweet. Spoilers ahead......... When Sam talks about how intimate it was to dye Lonnie’s hair, I was blown away. That was so soft and lovely and poetic. This game is totally worth the money.

THE WORST GAME IVE EVER PLAYED. This was absolutely horrible. You just walk around reading ur lil sisters stupid love letters to her girlfriend. We get it she’s gay. Where is the rest of the family, wasn’t this supposed to be scary? Absolutely worst game I’ve ever played and I’m a huge gamer. Waste of money, I definitely want a refund. It’s nothing like described. It has great graphics but that’s about it. Wow. I’m so upset. Waste of time and money plus it’s super short. There’s no mystery, no excitement, no suspense, nothing… I kept waiting for something exciting to happen and it never happened ugh I’m so mad

Creepy But Beautiful. As I started this game, it felt kind of creepy. All throughout my exploration of the house I felt on edge, but it pulled me into the game. I was glad to find out that her parents and sister hadn’t actually gone missing. The love story between Sam and Lonnie was sweet and wonderful. Their storyline was a lovely surprise. This game was definitely worth the price!

An original interactive story format. Very well done - Each of the “reveals” presents itself naturally as you explore the environment. A fair amount of the tale is done through monologue, so if you prefer to play without sound (as I do) simply turn on the subtitles option.

OMG worth buying. I honestly don’t know what to say I love this game so much because it was so addicting and such a good mystery there’s nothing chasing you and you can do it at your own speed but the problem with it is the first time I played I got glitched in the doorway but when I restarted it and I clicked new game I finish the game with in like two hours this game is amazing awesome and fun but I really want to find Sam you guys should make a second one that’s a tiny bit cheaper but is you actually are finding where Sam is I almost cried at the ending because it was so sad and so happy and I was so proud of myself too and I would pay for a new version but this game is definitely worth buying

Do Not Buy. The story is weak, a lot of pointless letters and potential story lines that go nowhere, just a huge waste of money. (Spoiler if you read further) There are only two keys and one combination you need to find for the entire story which ends with you figuring out Mom and Dad are on vacation and sister ran away with her lesbian lover. I’m not sure why this has such high ratings for such a let down of a story with nothing exciting happening at all. I hope lots of people read this.

Amazing Game. PLEASE CREATE MORE! I have never written a review for an app before but this game was absolutely worth it! So much detail you can tell a lot of work went into it and it’s so fun and I love that you can take it at your own pace. Awesome story line it really unfolded wonderfully and kept you on the edge of your seat discovering the mystery. I could go for the game being a little longer but really all in all worth the buy for sure.

Beautiful Game-Short Story Line. This game was beautiful and very interactive. I loved being able to explore this giant house. However, after a few hours of play I had completed the game. I was disappointed that there was not more storylines about the other family members. Good game but was way too easy for the money.

Seems like it would be awesome if only…. I could navigate my surroundings more easily. I am using a iPad 2018 edition In landscape mode. It seems that I can only walk in a straight line unless I raise the look sensitivity option. However, this presents its own set of problems, as I have to be very careful because I could end up on the other side of the room with just a tap. I understand the concept of block on the left side and top on the right side And that there is a little tiny white dot that controls what I am looking at and interacting with, but, for instance, I will go to open the drawer that has papers with the writings and restores and other things inside of it, and I won’t be able to investigate what’s inside of it because of the angle of my view of the drawer. I’ve spent up to 10 minutes trying to get my angle right and when I do it’s not exactly as satisfying as that’s way too long to just be able to navigate. Am I doing something wrong? It seems like such a cool game I’m just so upset that I can’t seem to navigate it properly

SO MISLEADING. When I saw the pictures and the description of the game I thought it was like a horror/thriller game. NOPE. It’s a story about a girl learning that she’s in love with another girl and how she deals with it. I’m giving it 2 stars because it was actually a really good story and all, but I would actually like my money back because I thought I bought something else. My advice, READ ALL OF THE REVIEWS FIRST. Turns out I’m not the only one.

Great game, wish it was longer!. I do wish there was a slightly scary aspect to this game -no horror or anything but this as a murder mystery game would be awesome too. Loved the fact that the sister is gay. Only complaint is that I played it in about 2 days and I really wish it could be longer.

AMAZING. This game is absolutely amazing it was really fun a suspenseful the graphics were pretty good too. I would recommend this game if you ever bored or looking for a adventure. ⚠️don’t read further If you haven’t finished the game⚠️ the end was a little weird but good when I was in the attic I was expecting to know what happend to her family and Oscar but I was left with a hangcliffer if they made another game I would most definitely download it to see what happens and to see what Katie would do. Incredible Storytelling. Wow. This game is so enjoyable. I intended to take a break & play it over a couple days but I just kept going until the end. Another top-tier storytelling game from them. Florence is a tear-jerker. This is more sentimental, even if it starts off kind of scary.

AMAZING. The story plot of this really surprised me. I enjoyed playing and looking around the house. The end really excited me. I think there should be a second one where Katie tries to find Sam or something like that. Either way I look forward to your guys’ next game!

Fun but too short. I loved this game! The ending wasn’t too shocking but it was fun going through and feeling like you’re back in the 90s. I do wish it was longer, I finished it in a few hours. For the price, it is a little frustrating. But the graphics are really great and the storyline is pretty good. Left me with some questions. It kind of leaves you to imply what happened without ever really saying it.

Favorite game of all time. Gone Home is, without a hint of exaggeration, my favorite game of all time. It falls within the "walking simulator" genre -- a label that was intended to be derisive but has turned out games like this, Life Is Strange, and Firewatch. This game has one of the most compelling stories I've ever encountered in almost 30 years of gaming. I've played and replayed it almost 10 times. Love that soundtrack too 🙏🏻

The Best Game!. This is the best horror/love story game I have ever played. It creeped me out, but once I got to see what the real meaning of it was, it was actually kind of heart-warming. I loved this game! I hope you can create more of these games maybe later in the future! I hope you respond to this, too. I wanna see what you’ll say about it. I’m only 10, and this was by far, one of the best games I have ever played ever since I got my phone a few years ago! I honestly think this was worth $5 dollars! At least I didn’t have to pay any more money for it. That’s all I have to say for now, bye!!

Desperately needs proper controller support. This is an amazing game, and I would have given it 5 stars if only it had proper controller support. Touchscreen controls are clunky, so I reached for my controller. The right joystick doesn’t work to look around, and the various joystick buttons don’t work. At the end of the day, this game has amazing charm, good sound and a compelling story. Controls are the only thing holding it back.

Visually beautiful, NOT worth the money.. I am very disappointed in this “game”. I was definitely expecting more of a mystery and more things to solve. All the objects look great but you can only pic them up and look at them, no interaction at all. The plot is pretty weak, as others have mentioned. The whole thing took about 3 hours to finish. And I’m not even sure I did finish it’s just that when I get to the end of the attic the screen goes completely black and nothing happens so I’m assuming that is the end. Cannot recommend buying this game.

Total Immersion. Just Brilliant

Weird controls. I have fiddled with different options to control gameplay but I can’t find an easy way to navigate this game. It’s also very dark. So disappointed.

I am seasick. This game is frustratingly difficult to move around in. Moving around the rooms, forwards and backwards etc, is not all intuitive on my quite new tablet. The constant need to correct my movements has resulted in me feeling quite motion sick. As a result of the difficulty moving around the gameplay is quite slow.

Unusable game. Don’t waste your time or money attempting to play on an ios device. Even if it was a magnificent game it was unworkable attempting to control your movement and item search. Beyond frustrating.

Sluggish. I only write reviews when I really like a purchased game or when I hate ‘em. This game is the latter. I’ve played for an hour and the sluggishness and bad framerate really frustrate me! I’m using a 2018 iPad and this game doesn’t run well. I’d get my money back if I can.

Complete waste of money. I bought this because of the awards - who judges these things? Probably more about how it looks than how it plays. Really tedious game, couldn’t be bothered trying to finish it. The controls are too involved - every other game of this genre uses really easy move and pick up mechanics in one control!

Beautiful, immersive, meaningful. As the title says. This game is a masterpiece in dialogue and discovery, start to finish.

Amazing game. The only reason I wouldn’t put this game at 5 stars would be the price. Now don’t get me wrong i love the game. I just personally think 7 dollars is a bit much for like a 2 hour long game. However besides the slightly steep price I would immensely recommend this game. The game is beautifully done. And I love the ending Some notes: 1) I find the controls rather really easy in fact easier than most games I’ve played 2) it’s not a jump scare game although it does have a rather creepy vibe 3) if you ever think you are stuck look at the map to see if there are any rooms or passages you haven’t gone in yet 4) the game is an interesting take on puzzle games bc while it is easy it’s also very fun

Meh. Explore house. Big house. Pretty house. Main storyline lesbian teen. Side stories of struggling marriage, finding success in careers, addictions and severed family ties. Music is screaming angry lady.

Not fun, not worth the $$$ either. I’m about half way through the game. Exploring is fun, but puzzles still would be nice. Mostly, in wandering aimlessly, and it gets boring. The story seems to move slow. As others have mentioned, the music and sound effects evoke fear and anxiety. I’m not a fan of the controls. Impressive graphics, but not worth the price tag, IMO.

Amazing. Another great story game from the developers! Totally recommend. The story is easy to follow and although the map can be confusing at times (to help orient yourself) it came in very handy. You can also enable commentary mode that leaves notes all over the place if you want to know more about the game. This is my opinion. Maybe you’ll have a different one, but you’ll never know unless you try. So I recommend trying it for yourself. I think you’ll like it. I played other games produced by Annapurna Interactive as well called “what remains of Edith Finch” and “the unfinished swan” I recommend them as well. They make very good games

What kind of game?. Is this a horror game? If no, why I am terrified while I am playing. Background sounds are so scary! Otherwise good game. Just go in and explore. Controls are a bit difficult though.

If only I could put 0 star. Waste of time and money. You just walk around a house reading letters, really, that’s it. Perhaps the target audience should be mentioned, I’d say between 8 and 13 years old. I’ve played Myst in the early 90s and despite being more than 15 years ago I’d play that 10 times over this one. A 7 bucks I wish I could get back!

Unexpected ”live” novel. Sooooo, I spent the first two hours waiting for something to jump out at me, a trap door... had a. This isn't a ”game” it's more like a novel. A somewhat rich novel because you get an audio diary. I never could get the attic door open, even though I had the key, but by then I had the gist of the story. It was interesting...but something was missing for me. I couldn't get emotionally involved as I normally do with books. If you like somewhat emo storylines and don't want much challenge, (there are a couple puzzles. Super simple. A few hidden wainscoting panels...) For me the story behind Magikras and others would work here if we could combine them. Multidimensional. The story was just too...predictable.

Really interesting but the ending was a letdown. It took some time to get used to the controls but once I did, I had a lot of fun playing the game!! The graphics are gorgeous and I love the creepy music. The storyline is super intricate, which was my fav part! I was super disappointed at the ending though. We find out where the little sister went but no mention of the parents at all. Why did they just ditch the house? Why are there no notes left by them but we can see they had been excited about their oldest daughter coming home (as per the calendar) I’m hoping for a sequel. LOL

It’s pretty creepy. I was a little hesitant to get this game because the pictures made the house look so creepy and I’m not a fan of horror type games. I read the description and it said nothing of being remotely scary but now I find it hard to play. It’s a fun exploring type of game but I would’ve been able to enjoy it more if I wasn’t scared to play it 😂 The creepy background noises and haunted kind of theme gives the game an eerie sort of horror vibe, which I’m not the biggest fan of. But the game itself (so far) is pretty fun as I enjoy the exploring portion because it’s very different than most games but in a good way. Nice story, fun gameplay.

Amazing detail, extremely heartwarming. There seems to be a split in the reviews of this game because a group of people are purchasing it expecting something different from what the game truly is. It is not an action based game for those who want instant gratification. Rather it’s extremely rewarding for people who are detail oriented and want to see a story play out in front of their eyes. If you take the time to explore thoroughly there is not one storyline but five separate ones exploring all the members of the family. Nothing in the background is done without care. For example if you zoom in on the family’s VHS collection you received a very charming throwback to the 90s ex. A particularly large X-Files obsession. I may have finished this game in an afternoon but it was extremely enriching experience I am perfectly happy paying 6.99 to receive it.

Don’t buy, waste of money. I can’t believe I paid for this game. Nothing like I thought it would be. You just basically wonder around aimlessly. I want my money back. Really disappointed

Incredible. Absolutely masterful with it’s atmosphere, incredibly interactive environment and great sound design, I was completely hooked right from the start and was incredibly happy with the story told. Nowhere near Room quality but OK. Decent navigation once you get used to it. Hung a couple of times on my iPhone 7. A little expensive considering short length of play.

Tooooo confusing?¿. Serious question here?? So you get to the notebook to Katie at the very end of the story then it ends. What’s in the note book??? And how will we know? If you guys home out with a new on it will be worth it, but 5 dollars for a cliff hanger is not worth it...

Not worth the money. I personally downloaded it because I thought it be more of a mystery solving and adventure game. All you really do is walk around the house touch certain objects that make a story come on. I think it’s a very beautiful story however if your look for a mystery game this isn’t really the one for you.

Frustrating controls. I love these kind of games, but had to give up on this one. Playing on my ipad was almost impossible due to the wonky controls. So hard to maneuver. Waste of money.

Doesn’t work on iPad. I bought this as an iPad ganme but it is very difficult to move the character around. Clearly this works on a computer, without a keyboard I can’t get it to work.

Not too bad but wasn’t worth the money. I thought the overall game was pretty good, but it was so short it only took me an hour to complete. I just don’t think it was worth that much money. It was a total waste.

Fantastic.. I’ve never wanted to be a punk lesbian in the 90’s my re badly also it got me into riot grrrl music it was sweet and scary and funny and sad. It made me feel things in a video game that I hadn’t in a while.

Controller support!?!. The controller mapping is severely incorrect. I’m assuming it worked fine before the MFI update in iOS 13. Devs, please address this issue. Used DS4 and XBOXONE controllers. EDIT: still no word from the devs on this problem. Very unprofessional to not address this. Unbelievable!!

No challenge not worth it. This isn’t a game...just a point and click story...definitely not worth $5...full of useless tasks that are not required to get completion...there are only maybe 10 to 15 steps of click to open or examine to finish the “game”.

Neat, But A Little Unsatisfying?. The game was interesting to play once I got the hang of the controls, but I couldn’t get the sound in the game to work at all—and at the end, upon finding the letter addressed to me, I didn’t get to read anything? The game simply ended. I had to go read the Wiki to figure out how the game was supposed to end.

Just ok. This was ok- loved the interactions and graphics but it was dry- only needed to solve like 2 puzzles. I’d rather pay to play a puzzle game or room escape game - wish this has more meat to it

Poor movement. The haptics for moving around the game were completely non-intuitive. After being unable to look under the potted plant for the key, just gave up and deleted it. Aggrevating.

don’t get it unless.... ur one of those people who like stories and walking simulators, this had no action and is really confusing if your not passionate about getting to the end. DONT WASTER UR MONEY —unless u like that kinda stuff then go ahead but this game was def not for me but the graphics were very good. No shade just honesty. :)

AMAZING. Okay I legit teared up at this game. It’s so good and heartfelt. It’s mostly exploring and finding bits of a story. And that kind of thing isn’t usually something I like but, this was different. It was beautiful.

Pointless game. Terrible waste of money. I was expecting a longer more elaborate mystery game but oh boy I was let down. There is no real point to the game other than looking around reading notes. Nothing to solve, nothing to get to, simply terrible.

Very interesting. You can do anything at your own pace. This game is so relaxing, interesting, and fun.

Uh...that was such a waste of $$$ and time. So, all you do in this entire game is walk around and look at papers in every single room. There’s no mini games or anything frightening. No ghost, nothing. You just walk from room to room and look at stuff!

I don’t think this game is worth the money.. I don’t like the way this game moves. Half the time I’m walking into walls or just not moving at all. There’s nothing to do if you manage to figure out how to move within the house except turn on lights and open drawers and cabinets. Boring! I don’t see the point.

where are the other rooms?. The map shows the kitchen den and other rooms.

What’s the point though?!. Am I just too ADD for this right now or is there actually literally no point to this game? I actually paid money for it, and here we are picking stuff up and putting it back down. I’m not solving any mystery, I’m not finding pieces to any puzzle. Great graphics but is that really all I paid for?

Disappointed. The game is interesting and kind of suspenseful just because you don’t know what is going to happen, but what a waste of money. $5 just to walk around for an hour? Not worth it.

More story than adventure. I’m was disappointed overall. Very little adventure or problem solving. The game is an elaborate effort at storytelling, which is fine, but it is basically a walkthrough with a few half-hearted puzzles to solve. Not worth the $ imo.

Not worth the money!!. Bought this on a whim looking for a good game. Not worth the 4.99. Bit very long and not very exciting. Save your money for something bigger and better. A lot of useless play involved, being able to pick up things that are unnecessary in the game. Waste of time and money. Only took about 4 hours to beat.

Controls are buggy. Seems intriguing for sure, but I’m playing on an iPad Pro and the controls are a bit hard to manage. I usually play with inverted look controls but the invert option only affects the x axis and not the y axis. Otherwise I’d feel more compelled to play.

Sad it’s over. I’m a little disappointed at how short it was because it had me hooked from the beginning. The story was creepy and exciting!

Help!. I love this game a lot, but I have a problem. I got stuck in the guest room closet, on top of the boxes. I can look around and interact with the door and the light, but I can’t get out! I love this game but I don’t want to start all the way over because of this bug.

There is no noise for me. Idk if it’s a glitch or something but there is no noise what so ever I mean I still like the game but I feel like there is a part missing without the noise.

Boring. I seen this game and expected to go on an adventure and possibly be creeped out but no this game is just a boring endless maze of walking. Programmers should’ve thought twice before making this.

Can’t even play it. I got the game and was excited to play it but every time I go to play it, it shows the credits but after three seconds the screen goes black and it gets me out of the game. I tried multiple times and can’t play. I don’t know how to get my money back either!

Objectively boring.. Knew nothing about the controversy about this game until after I finished it. Remarked to myself multiple times just how unfulfilling the gameplay was. Watching reviews has been more entertaining than playing it was. Boring. Do not waste your money.

enchanting. this game is so beautiful. even though there is nothing chasing you, no jump scares, - there is a fun little anxiety associated with searching through the enormous and intricately designed house. it was so fun and addicting, and created so realistically with a very tender message.

Gone Home Rocks. The only issue I had with it is that it was so short. It was so worth it, I just wish there were MORE. Like, a second part for Kate to go find her. I loved this game so much.
