Nice app. I would launch this app once in a while and experiment with it but had not yet seriously did a full on photo shoot. I found that I liked the app but not enough to subscribe. I already subscribe to several apps and services, one of which is Adobe Creative Cloud which is close to $700 a year! I know that $20 a year is not much but everything adds up and one invests in what one uses the most. If I start using it more, I will get a year subscription.

Amazing. I’m big on effects for my videos. Instead of having one app that does it all I have three or four that I use back and fourth to get desired results, but this one? First app in a LOOONG TIME that has some truly unique filters, and the fact u can adjust the amount of the particular effect that u want is dope.... Amazing app for the money, oh wait.....

Great effects, subscription model ruins it. I have to say that these are some of the most interesting effects that I’ve seen. Great quality and incredibly mind melting. I just CANNOT with the subscription model. If I buy an app, I want to be able to use it and not have to worry about a monthly fee. At least offer us some kind of option to buy this outright. When I first bought this app, the subscription got turned on and I didn’t even use it or know about it for months. Infuriating. Get rid of the subscription model. I want to give a lower rating because of the subscription only model, but it’s such a good app I’ll still give 4, easily 5 if there is a purchase option.

Absolute Best Effects!. I’ve been a Picsart user for years now paying the monthly fee to access all of their features and I have to say they are hands down the best app for editing, creating, drawing, designing or whatever it is you want to accomplish photo, pic and video related. I’ve come to be a master at all of the tools making my designs the best in my line of work and there is no other app out here that even comes close to touching Picsart. If you use canva, come check out Picsart. Now, I ran across this app editing a video on Picsart and I’m blown away yet again at the level Picsart has taken themselves to yet again knock another app out of the ball park. This too is like no other video editing, effects and filter app out there and I’m a true Picsart fan, loyal and true. Only using what they have to offer. Thanks again for another awesome app to have on my iPhone. You r made me a ton of money with my designs using your apps. Can’t wait for the next idea they bring to light.

Very advanced setup for extremely difficult effects with very little effort. I’m 100% in shock at the level of customization and the intuitive controls are manipulated even when ur recording to cycle ur effects as you capture footage I don’t pay for apps ever and I’m reaching for the card now it’s unreal!!!!!

One word. Amazing.. This app has many EFEKTs (pun intended) which allow different uses. I can’t name those uses, but still this app is very cool. I love that you have a bar at the top of the screen, allowing for easy access to effects. But one thing, I don’t like that you need premium to do more stuff, such as making a video or taking pictures. The other features are free, but it makes it feel like a video game demo. It would be appreciated if you would add more free features for people who don’t pay (AKA people like me). Other than that it’s a good app.

There are so many other things out there. Honestly, this is a pretty sick app. If you don’t want any social media content like Snapchat, this might be the next thing in mind. Another thing is that the effects are neat. You can turn yourself into a waterfall, make shards of glass fall from the air, or become a kaleidoscope. Although, if you are like me and don’t want to waste your money on filters, the options are pretty limited. In my mind, I think of this, “if people want to be smart and let our economy go down, I suggest making them mentally claustrophobic by limiting they’re options and making them wish they had bought premium.” Well, again, in my mind I also think, “So if you limit there options and they do not have premium, doesn’t that just mean more and more people deleting the app daily? Well that is your fault for letting the economy go down, not ours.” Also, the controls are pretty late and stuck. I swipe down to get a new. Right? But nothing happens. Then my screen gets frozen for swiping down. So I don’t know what happened. I know it is not my device because I have the new iPad iOS and I got it about two years ago. But if you did get premium, then have a great time making awesome vids and potentially deleting the app, wasting you money. That was my review! Have a great day! 🌸

Will never pay a monthly/weekly fee for an app. The app looks like it can do some cool stuff. Unfortunately app makers think they can charge a monthly fee to use their app. I can understand if it is an app that is used to make or manage money or something along those lines but not for an app that will be used occasionally for fun. Nobody wants to do a free trial either that auto enrolls you into a contract. Make the app a flat fee and let me decide if it is worth it to purchase. I will never know how good or bad this app really is because the features are limited unless one signs up.

Good. Good app but the subscription price is far too high for 15 or so filters. C’mon now. I won’t ruin ratings by super low stars but I already paid for the app and now I have to pay to subscribe and I don’t get what I paid for. Most apps that go to subscription based pricing at least grandfather people in or give them more than the basics. Also, why don’t you ever update the app? If you want people to pay monthly then the app should be updated.

Reevaluating this apps potential. I was excited to try app out, download app, uploaded my video footage, was only a couple minutes long, applied an effect only to find that app could not handle it. It keep giving error messages and after the numerous times of attempting to retry to apply the effects I eventually gave up. It couldn’t handle a couple of minutes video duration. ***Updated*** Although I don’t have a real need or reason for using this app in my movies, I am impressed by what it can do vs other apps out there. From what I can see, this app is above the rest. I am currently interested in trying to implement some of these effects into my short videos and will keep experimenting for now.

Good but needs some work. Hey! I love this app don’t get me wrong, but everything costs money and there aren’t many affects also you can’t add a sound in the background. I want to add songs in the background! Those are the only things though other then that it’s fine! Please get back to me and I would like you to add songs in a update. Thanks! Please writhe back. Oh my God I love this game. So there’s like so many different effects like I can’t get it over. There’s this one time Tyler and spell almost all day on this app. That’s why I gave it a five star rating like oh my goodness. It even lets me send all the videos I take to all my friends and my friends have been asking me the name but I haven’t been telling them.😂

Hoodwinked! These Devs don’t grandfather. The developers behind this one really have some nerve, unlike Most everyone in the software industry they have decided not to godfather in pervious in-app perches to their full embodiment. When I first started using this app the same locked fx were only obtainable if you bought them through what they labeled as Remove Watermark Permanently. It cost 1.99 before tax. This is what they valued their product for in the market. Now, with this new trend of Subscription based editing app on the rise and probably feeling strapped because they undersold themselves they chose to join the band wagon. Now this wouldn’t be a problem if they hadn’t decided not to godfather in our pervious purchases. Thinking they were clever because of their wording, they decided to revoke access to filters we has perviously unlocked through buying aforementioned Remove Watermarks Permanently... don’t worry though, at least I still don’t have watermarks 🙄 So this gos out as a word of warning. Don’t think they won’t get clever again.

dude!. I just wanted to say it is beyond belief that the app store wont even Feature this app! This is amazing powerful stuff and I find more to do with it every day and everywhere I go! As soon as I get paid I am 100% upgrading to the yearly sub. Even better this app dosent abuse data collecting practices like almost everyone! I Love this App!

EFEKT. Wow this app opened up my eyes and my mind to creativity I never knew I had. The first few minutes my mind was running at a speed I couldn’t control I had so many ideas of what I wanted to try and how I could make my late daughters memories even more special the best app I’ve seen thus far definitely a must get . About the app.... I LOVE this app, there are lots of filters you can try and make videos and edit, but there are some negative stuff on it like this app needs more filters to try and also you need to write a review to this app to get the interlace which is one of the filters, My point is that these filters aren’t the best so you need to add more and I was hoping you’d also add more options to edit, and an option which can help you edit your videos AFTER you make them and if we have that option, it doesn’t work with me; because every time I want to edit and video it just keeps loading when I HAVE INTERNET, so if that option is on... I’d doesn’t work with me. my order here is: To add more filters to this app To give us more editing options To let us edit our videos AFTER we make them. The best audio reactive effects app in the AppStore!. There is really a great deal of amazing effects control in this app with incredibly unique looks. The audio reactivity is the best I’ve used in the AppStore after more than 5 years of looking. You can easily get great results with minimal effort, but if you take the time to learn all of the parameter controls, stacking effects, drawing masks, etc. you can get some mind-blowing sophisticated results. Highly recommended!!!

Very disappointed. This has been my go-to App for quite awhile. I loved working with the editing of my videos, but then it stopped working. When I load my video, the App shoots from Bubbles straight to Magic. I cannot do Echo, Dust, etc. This is so frustrating and disappointing. Is there any way that you can fix this problem?

Fun fun fun. I spend way too much time on this app making effects for vids for no reason except it’s so fun!!! Also, I love that it has no problem uploading a 45 second high res vid and adding effects to it (most apps like this I’ve found crash at 15 seconds). And the output is still in high res. Great app. Oh and best of all it says they don’t track me on other apps. I’m so tired of apps that act like they are just for “creativity” but in reality they are primarily a “data miner”. As far as I can tell this is NOT one of those and thus they respect my privacy.

SERIOUSLY NEXT LEVEL. I'm honestly hardly impressed by much. All these editing apps are the same to me. But THIS ONE RIGHT HERE, this is everything you need. If you are an underground rapper tryna shoot trippy visuals by yourself or you like making TikToks or are a serious content creator who likes using visuals, this is the only app you need. This is the one. They have so many good effects on this and so much versatility. And the user interface is so modern and easy to use anyone should have fun using this app. This is a top tier video editing app, I would genuinely pay for the premium. I don't write reviews either so that should tell you something. Don't sleep yall. - And to the creators and people who made these effects, yall did yall's thang on this one for real. Keep it up. This the kind of effort the people want and need.

Kind of good. I love this app with all the cool features and stuff but I would definitely like it if we didn’t have to pay for the really cool ones. What if someone is a child and they really want to use that but they don’t have the money? Well they should do a birthday thing to see how old you are and if you’re 12 and under them you should get the stuff for free, we obviously don’t have the money, and maybe our parents don’t either

Super fun but.... It’s so fun to film so fun to share with family friends etc. But I want all the effects like I really want echo but I can’t have it because of the subscription. Also my parents don’t want to pay for the subscription and they don’t want me to and I don’t want to pay!!! So I just wish EVERYTHING was free so I could use and try it all out! Oh and the subscription WHY it should be free so we can all use it! I am NOT saying it’s an unfair app, I just feel like if PicsArt maybe costed money to do some of its stuff than maybe EFEKT can be ALL free! See what I mean?!

Trippy, waaaay trippy!!. A big thanks to the devs, for making this discovery, previously long sought after.. I know from experience that it must have been so much hard work not only harnessing the secrets to collecting AND containing pure mescaline visuals within a jar, but then to take it even a step further by painstakingly domesticating and training those very hallucinations on how to be an awesome app! And although it may still be a taboo subject in the western world you’ve overcome great odds to bring this treasure to light.. Your efforts have not been lost on us! Kudos and good day!!

AH-MAZ-ING!!!. A powerful video editing tool for the phone? What is this sorcery! No, it's magic! I'm completely blown away by the filters, FX and options. The quality of the videos are also epic! These guys have some serious program or engine running behind this app. These are effects that you normally have to find Gia desktop software but they brought it to the smartphone and made it even more intelligent! I love this app!

Love. I love this app so much it is awesome you have to have a subscription but it’s not that expensive it’s $20 per year and if you don’t wanna do that you can just mess around with them you can’t take photos or videos but it’s still fun so share it with your friends and have a great day

The One Minute Rating & Review. Ok looks like a fun app. Does require the in app purchases of extended platform options. Not a fan of in app upgrade purchases. Like options upfront - just saying. Why three starts - because your app asked to be rated less then two minutes of ownership? Kinda hard to give your app any ratings he rating . I was just going through the various options. Your demo looks like fun so I got this for my kids to try. Going into the vetoes options and to date that means four with out applying to any actual video. The program looks to be more like stickers then visual effect to filming. If you don’t like my rating, sorry. Next time learn to wait. Two minutes using this multi option application is not reasonable. Maybe a day, week, or even a month of shooting video and using your app is reasonable, not two minutes. Let’s see if you even read this far because you might have a Five Star app worthy of a Great review - let me know what you think and best of luck to you!

Pretty good. Ok so I got this app and it is ok. I think the effects are really good and creative and this is pretty much the only app that offers these effects and it not just like filters you can find anywhere. I took off a star because it is not really free. There are some effects that are free and they are really good but if you want to unlock all of them you have to pay a LOT. But I would recommend this app because even if you don’t pay it is still really fun and I’m glad I got it.

One of the Best. Tbh, this is one of the best editing apps I have ever come across. It has unique editing overlays for videos and photos compared to other editing apps in the App Store. Despite its monthly payment for other features, it still has some quite good options for people who don’t want to pay. And remember, editing a photo or a video will not come out the greatest with just one app, you’ll always have to use more than one app to edit your video/photo. So, don’t ever expect an editing app to completely accomplish all your expectations for a perfect finished project/product. But despite all that, this is one of the best editing apps out of all the others, like said.

It’s pretty good but…. I like this app, I’ve shared it with my friends and we love making goofy videos together. But..I just wish everything was free. That we didn’t have to buy pro. And yes I get that that’s how they make money. But I think more than half of the effects are for the pro! So it’s really hard to make good videos of you have to PAY an app once a month for a few measly effects. Don’t get me wrong the “measly” effects are sorta cool. But if rather go use cap cut and their effects than waste my money to go pro. Please just make more effects free.

Outstanding effects!!!. Having used this app for some time now, my rating is not the impulse review based on a quick first impression nor is this a review in exchange for an additional feature. In all honesty I am leaving this review because I believe this app deserves it. With a very user friendly interface, this quick to learn app has a ton of amazing and individual features that I have not found on any other apps in the iTunes store. This is not your ordinary plain Jane effects app for the boring editors out there that are looking to make a boring video / photo look just as boring as it was when they took it. This app is for the extreme abstract artists looking to make something never seen before! With an incredible attention to detail this app will not disappoint if you use just for fun or for something more. With an ability to also adjust each of parameters of all of the effects you can use this constantly without the worry of all of your work looking the same. You have to try this out to learn for yourself, but its absolutely worth it. Some of the best “effects” not filters out there.

Went from 4⭐️ to 1⭐️….and back to 4⭐️. Lol It was giving me trouble there for awhile, which sucked cuz I pay for the yearly subscription. But now after restarting my phone twice the app is back to normal. It glitches out on me (pun intended) every couple of months tho. This time it was only allowing me to see/use Petrol, Echo & Displace. Last time it was only allowing me to use the photo function, if I were to select video or slo mo the app would immediately crash and not want to reopen.

Whoa!. Easy to use effects. However, I must admit I am writing this to unlock a particular effect. Regardless of that fact, the app I amazing or I wouldn’t have cared enough to write the review to get another effect🤣. There are plenty of effects in the free version. I am not certain what you have to pay for. I received an email announcing that yearly subscriptions were not available, however, I have been using the app and navigating without a need to anything else. The effects are clean and each effect has various customizable features.

Meh. Limited and expensive.. I was first excited to try out this app for motion-based video effects. As it turns out, it’s quite limited compared to other apps. The effects offer little more than novelty value that wears off quickly. The clunky interface seems amateurish compared to other less expensive, more flexible video apps. Then there’s pricing. Why is the latest effect triple the cost of others? Will the effects be more expensive as they’re developed? Or are the developers charging more for it because they said it’s “good for Halloween”, which fell within days of releasing the effect?

Absolutely amazing effects. I don’t write many reviews but I had to with this one. I’m a professional photographer and videographer, but I consider myself an artist more so than the others. Being so, I’m very critical pertaining to most photography/video apps. More often than not the exporting quality just isn’t quite there. And I do lean towards more artistic editing apps as well. This app is probably the absolute best artistic editing app I’ve come across and used in the App Store. The effects are absolutely amazing. Actually quite mind blowing. There’s really nothing else quite like it. It’s in a class all of its own. Kudos to the Devs for producing such a top notch level app that few others seldom reach. If I could give you 10 stars I would.

Rating to unlock filters...big brain marketing. Like, seriously. Super smart. 3 stars because I have had the app for 30 seconds and thus far have not been impressed with the free filters I’ve seen. I’m not disappointed or anything...I just haven’t gotten to see the app in it’s advertised power yet. So why am I writing a review? ... well they put more of the app on the line! Perhaps I’ll return after I play with the app more to give more or less stars?

Great. This app is awesome because you can not only use a lot of effects you can preview them seeing what they do and you can preview them and if you want to use the effect that isn’t already bought then you can just start the video on a effect. that is free and then change to a effect. that is not free. that you want it to be on that you haven’t paid for but then once you want to end a video just so it’s back to a free affect it’s fun to play around with tho it needs more effects. Super fun though.

Simple and Executes Well. The app in my opinion does what it advertises. There are some effects that aren't exactly all that great like the xyzbut there are a lot more good ones than bad. App doesnt crash and ads are nonexistent. Also its pretty nice that there is a slow mo option. Only reason for 4 and not 5 stars is the price and that i think it would be nice to be able to have multiple effects on one video.

How to use this app???. Would it be too much to ask for you to include a tutorial or manual or app tour, or are we supposed to just guess what everything does? And what is this forklift or tractor icon or whatever that is? What does it do?? An hour later of searching and all I've found is a lot of your competitors' products who happen to actually have how-tos. Update: telling me to follow your Instagram in response to my review asking for instructional help is lazy. While creative ideas are nice, that's not at all what I was referring to. But I did visit your Instagram, and wouldn't you know it, another user had the exact same complaint in the comments. There is no legend for any of the symbols in the app. You need to include this information in the app itself. As of now, the UX leaves a lot to be desired. I'll update my rating and review when you answer my question. What does the forklift symbol mean and what does it do?

They done did it, they’ve captured the white rabbit. K remember in “college” during those “experimental “ years when what’s understood as”tripping” took place in nature, parties, and then there’s looking in the mirror. Remember your Face melting off unto the primordial sludge of the bathroom rug? Efekt does. Or the image in which is you’ve cultivated over your entire life is questioned until your delicate perspective is in pieces. Efekt remembers.

Great app, needs high res (4k) support. This is a wonderful app. However for modern day use, it really needs 4K support which has become very mainstream. If you use it on 4K video, the output will a downsized lower quality video. On the plus side, I very much disagree with the reviewer who said the effects are “kitschy”. They are actually quite sophisticated (using fluid dynamics and other techniques) and show a professional quality. Also the work flow is a pleasure to use and drop dead simple to start using. Adobe After effects should learn from this. There are minor usability issues that could be improved, but this is minor quibble as it’s easy enough for most users to be productive right away.

Interesting & effective way to get a review. This app works just as advertised. You can create some interesting video & photo effects but is best with video effects. The effects with photo are interesting but seem to make more sense with video. With video, it will place a distortion filter on videos being recorded to create different effects. In order to see or have one of the effects, you must write a review...pretty good way to unlock filters in your apps development team...if it actually does unlock the interlaced effect filter. All in all it’s a fun novelty video app for quaint moments for Snapchat types of people or anyone wanting short vids of themselves with easy effects. For longer videos, the effets are not very subtle and apply to either everything moving or everything in frame which easily becomes distracting for long periods of time. Overall, fun occasional use type of app but in a world where everyone wants more and more megapixels for higher level of detail in their videos, it is just a novelty use app. I say that because the filters distort what’s in frame so right away, you lose quality to have a kitschy effect.

An interesting app with very cool filters, but no 4k export. Dig the app and like using it as a “finisher” on my projects. But, not being about to do 4k or pick higher bitrates means I can’t use it for some things. Some video ends up overly compressed or looking fuzzy. I normally export my videos at 4k and >100mbps bitrate with h265 encoding out of Glitch Art Studio. I’d love to see those options here. iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 17.2.1

No clear way to save any thing. I see no way to save any files. It doesn't matter what effect I chose or where there elect is locked or not. This plus I hate programs that make you pay a monthly fee. Seriously, a subscription for an image editing program on a phone! I barely accept that Adobe makes one subscribe to Creative Cloud but some fun little gimmick for your phone? Never. Given this, the effects offered are really well done. There was clearly a great deal of effort put into this app. So I'm more object to being made to pay. I just don't need yet another monthly subscription.

Some cool stuff. Expensive to unlock everything. Knock it off with the $20 subscription crap. Make the price reasonable for a buy-and-forget. Cool or not, when a developer does this, I don’t trust them enough to pay, or like them enough to want to support them. Update: The developer responded to say there’s a free version and Apple manages subscriptions, and then something about refunds, which has nothing to do with my response. This leads me to believe that they don’t care enough about the customer to support them. If they did, they’d read the responses and try to understand the ACTUAL issue. Eight seconds must be too long to dedicate to a customer, I guess. Also, and still….I don’t mind paying for an app…let me buy it and own what I bought, instead of having to choose between getting SOME features and having to pay over and over. Not impressed. Second update: The developer responded to say there’s a free version…again. Was it that a minute is too long to take for their customers even after they missed the mark the first time to see that wasn’t the problem? Cannot recommend. There’s no indication that if there’s an issue they’ll be willing to help. They might tell you there’s a free version, though, if you don’t ask and you already know that….

Awesome App. As someone who appreciates Great product I highly recommend this app. The creator gives you the option to pay full price or Pay for what you use. I create video production on iOS and the tools offered by the creator are amazing. The incentive is When you create product. People like it. pay for it.

I’m impressed with the filters. Depressed there’s a monthly fee for paint smoke cosmo overlay, i am an editor for marketing and other website development. Ive been using the same software since forks were invented. I decided to branch out and see what’s out there. I like this a lot, it’s not super hard on my phone yet…. Seems pretty authentic. Would recommend! This statement has grammatical errors that I don’t feel like correcting. I apologize. Happy 2022

Clever boy. Look how effective it is to unlock effects with a simple rating. What a clever ploy. But the 5 stars is sincere (so far). Have only been toying with the app for half an hour and so far, I must say, it's honestly stunning. One of the things that makes the app world so thrilling is apps like this that truly seem impossible. My little niece has been dancing for me in front of the camera, and we haven't had this much fun in ages. Well, done, whoever made this thing.

If you want something SERIOUSLY amazing get this app!!. I didn’t know I wanted or needed this until I downloaded it & it’s truly mind bending fun. Bonus, it is pretty easy to use immediately!! I can’t wait to really start playing with some of the features on photos of the sky. Thanks for making something beautiful and totally out of ANY BOX....💯

Good free effects, rate to unlock one. 5 stars for being free and having some options not require anything. Will update rating if things change. Rainbow and Interlace are the coolest free effects while Flame is the best one for $2.99. I think the only way to combine effects is to save and then edit again over it. It’s still a nice option to upload your own videos and things from camera roll or from live camera.

Unique effects. When I first played with this app I didn’t think the effects were that good. Then I saw the really creative and unique videos people have created with it on Instagram (#madewithdefekt). This app works best if the camera is on a tripod or held still so the background is rock solid and only the subject is moving.

A fun app, but the exclusives are ridiculous.. Honestly, I love the app, but I think paying about $33 a year for another 1/2 of the filters is bad. Maybe if the app was $10 as an app, I would’ve been fine, but paying for more filters is dumb.

Great effects but be aware... The effects are really well made and all of them have many adjustable settings that work well with people in the shot. I am disappointed though that my 7 day trial period was not honoured and became just 3 days after clicking the button.

Most filters not free. Agree with others. Too many filters not free. And watermark on top of free ones. Either one or the other lads. I’m sure there are other caveats like having to rate this to even view some of the filters. All a bit much. But good concept though. Very original filters. Offer a one off price and I might consider it.

Awesome App. Create videos and photos. As a photographer this is a simple and fast way to ad effects to clips and photos that may not have come out exactly the it should have. Don’t throw them away until you’ve tried this app!!!!!

Pretty good for free. Been playing around with the filters and it’s pretty good. I can see potential in some of them, and I can probably say I won’t use others. One thing I don’t like is when an app forces users to access camera and microphone like this one did, doesn’t quite give me the warm fuzzies about privacy. I feel that should be an option the user should opt in while using the app.

Fun App. There are many fun effects in this app and I recommended it for those with creative personalities. Update: After using the app for the past two days, I have created some cool 😎 images and videos and my friends think that I am so creative. But I am not that creative, the app makes me look that way.

My review. I think that is a good app sadly there are some filters that are for sell. And I don’t think it is that worth it to but all those things. Also make sure you have a camera with really good quality. My phone doesn’t so it make things look weird. Overall I think that app is really great and fun to use.

Can I open existing photos?. This looks very cool but I can’t figure out how to open existing photos. You can open videos but, unless I’m missing something that doesn’t work with pics. Note: I found about the app because it was just featured in the App Store promo section. That feature says ‘new or existing photos’ so if that’s wrong I’d let them know.

Amazing!. I must say that this app has some of the coolest effects I have seen for video! I love playing with the effects all the time and find it hard not to open it at least once a day. I REALLY love the newest effect FLAME! It has such a great result in the videos. Great job on this app! Keep it up, I look forward to future effects!!!!!

It’s I’m not a very good filter app. It’s not very good for anything realistic for a picture . You can’t filter picture with touch up or smooth them. The only thing the app does is add crazy filters like smoke , lighting on your picture not the background. It’s honestly worthless for my use so I’m uninstalling it.

Awesome effects. I think this is such an underrated video effects application. So little people use it and it makes such a creative distance. I think video quality could improve when exporting but that aside, wonderful creative tool.

Wow. I was totally blown away by what I was seeing just upon initial opening- effects that looked so rich and fine that I thought for sure my phone would overheat or something on me. I haven’t experienced that yet, I’m sure it really isn’t anything to worry abt. Definitely worth a shot if you want to get creative with your videos.

It’s good. It’s good but it is connected to Picsart obviously that’s the reason why I got it well so you can’t really use a lot of them and I was going to use the Eco one but I didn’t work oh and by the way I’m talking about the filters and the reason why I didn’t work is because it was premium but like almost everything on there is premium.

Fun!. Hours & Hours of FUNnnnnnnn ✨yay✨ So many neat effects! I really like this. However, I just paid 8.99 to ‘unlock’ all the effects (great price).. Yet -I somehow still have to do things such as ‘like our instagram’ (to unlock) or ‘write a review’ ..(to unlock) which is a bit of a bummer to me...🤓

Interesting so far.,,. VERY Unique filters on this app so far, but I’ve only been playing around with it for 15 minutes or so. But looking like it has a LOT of promise!! Only trying out the free version, at the moment, but if I can find enough enough real-world uses, this will be first in line to pay for the extra features..!

Wish it was easier to understand the controls.. Really cool FX ideas. Kinda random but definitely trippy & worth checking out. Tiny learning curve as it’s not entirely intuitive as far as what control does what when you’re manipulating FX but just play around with it. You’ll get the idea.

Good effects. Not too expensive so if you’re someone who edits videos a lot, then the 20 dollar a year subscription would be worth it for you. Each effect has sub effect settings with variations on each effect to tweak it more and make it yours. All in all it’s a cool quick video editor

Amazing tools!. Every time I go on the app I always like to make art or use other peoples photos to make things and it’s super cool that it has more stickers and stuff you can add to photos and I think it’s super cool and it makes me like the app

Variety of GIFs?. I had to check out this unique and creative app. I have a favorite effect which is the spark effect!! Though I must ask if there’s a variety of GIFs in the GIF option? In general Defekt is unique creative and one word I’m sure I have left out (regarding the effects) imaginative!! 😊 Thanks !! 😌

Unique Effects. I have a lot of photo editing apps that I use, but none with effects like these. They’re great! I especially love the ability to edit different elements of each effect. I definitely recommend this app for those with a creative flair.

The Cats Meow Mix…. I think you should put a warning for anyone who has Epilepsy… this can DEFINITELY cause a Grand Mal Seizure!!! I would love to be able to use this… but having both Epilepsy and MS at the same time… I can’t. I can’t give it a rating because I can’t use it. It isn’t anything personal… I just don’t want anyone not knowing that this can happen if they do have Epilepsy or MS. I would hate for someone to go Status and possibly die because they don’t know. =^..^= Meow.

Reasonably fun, but DOESN’T SAVE IMAGES!!. I downloaded this and had some fun right away playing with the various effects. After about an hour of trying different ones, and getting the “photo saved” message each time, there are NO IMAGES ANYWHERE!! Not in my image folder, not in any folder I can find on the app, nada. So, unless they come back to me and I do a d’oh head slap and find them, don’t waste your time.

Why you shouldn’t waste money. I get developers need money for their hard work. Without a doubt, but 4$ a week thats ridiculous, maybe for rich people who have money to spend its not a lot, but compare that with literally anything else that requires a subscription thats outrageous and just downright money hungry. Now if it were 4, 5, or even 6 a month without a doubt i’d subscribe but 4 a week is beyond ridiculous. Hope they have a change of heart soon.

It’s really great but-. It it’s a really good app you can make a really cool video or even a little music video with this there’s only one problem half most of them actually are all expensive expensive I mean you have to pay for them I think you should just make like two more free thanks I love the ones that are free

Audio. I love the app, its an amazing and fun way to make out of this world videos. I would like to someday have an option to distort the audio of my videos within the app. I hope to see more distortions coming out soon. Great job

Amazing but…. I love this amazing effects but some effects slow down my video and when I turn my phone my video doesn’t and with the zoomflipcut can you make it so some of the shapes go in the same direction as the videos please other than that I love it

Recognizable but different. The app takes on the idea of animating for loops but it does all the work for you. Being able to mess with the effect sliders while recording is pretty cool too. O and the app does not crash which is always a plus with this kind of app!

Lag after recording. Overall a phenomenal app, they offer great prices, and effects. But just one thing that ruins the entire experience for me is the lag after you finish recording your video. I pay a membership with you guys, and I’m not able to benefit at all from it and the lag completely ruins the entire video. :/ I hope you guys can fix this soon!

I use this app CONSTANTLY!. This app is amazing for editing everything from personal photos and videos to professional ones used for marketing and everything in between!

Pretty good but most things are locked and I can’t even take a good video. I love it has so many great things you have to do things to unlock things I know that sounds kind of strange a lot of “things”. I know if you have a lot of money you will enjoy it a lot but I can’t spend that much money on… Apps.

Cool. I like it a good amount. I think I’ll have to buy the full version because the free parts don’t cut it for the work I do but for a fun app to play around with, this works great. Professional and artist wise, this is not for you. Though for what it’s worth as a fun effect app, it’s great

Impressive Results. I love the effects! The results are stunning for real-time. I’m not a fan of the subscription model though. If I could purchase this outright (or even just the filters I want) I would in a heartbeat. That said, the free effects are pretty interesting themselves and this app is definitely worth a look.

Outstanding set of effects. I do video... this is an awesome set of tools to create with... if you are reading this, get it and spend the $9 for full use... try out a few and know that once upgraded it gets even more creative... really quite amazing... try out for free but if it excites you, then part with the $9 and have phun...

The most fun you can have with one finger. And the easiest way to wile away 20 minutes then have folks scratch their heads and wonder if they should find you some help when they see the results. Worth the price the first time you play with it and unlike ANYTHING else.

Amazing effects, vertical video only!?. This is an amazing app, but unless I’m just stupid, I can’t see any option for regular, non-grandparents at a soccer match with an ipad video orientation. If I take a video and import it it saves it sideways making it totally useless. If I take a video in the app it has poor focusing and is vertical only. This app would be perfect if it was made for things outside of snapchat.

Could be a little easier but nothing im sure they do not know about. Love it fun to do I wish sometimes she’s in the proper fx was a little easier to see and sending could be a faster

Interesting program. Just downloaded it and it’s already prompting for a review less than five minutes later, holding out the carrot of an added filter if I review the app. Premature?! The interface isn’t obvious or intuitive and requires pushing this and that to determine whether something is a control. That’s not fun.

Very interesting app!. Found this app on the main page today decided to try it out and I’ve been using it for a little now and it’s very good, some stuff is pay for other filters can be unlocked by rating the app and also by following them on various accounts!

Love!. First app I’ve ever paid for and it’s totally worth it! Only thing I could suggest is that the app is updated so that you can seek to a desired point in the video that is uploaded instead of waiting for the video to restart. Other than that it’s perfect ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

2 stars for now. When I installed this on my iPhone 12 pro, switching to a new effect led to the app endlessly switching through the effects which is a problem. Canceling subscription until fixed, worked great on XSMax so hoping it’s a strange bug

Pretty great app. Just started looking through the effects, saw the whole ‘rate to unlock’ thing so thought I’d just get that out of the way, before I could take a better look through everything and generate a more thorough response of course. Other than that, just your standard ‘pay to use this’ and ‘buy to remove that’ sort of app. Cool effects and all. Good job.

Needs effect automation in post editing. I had a dream on January 3rd about using the Interlace effect rhythmically for my first music video. For that dream to come true, this would need to allow the effect automation to be applied in post. Edit: Messaged the developers, and they were already planning to implement the features I want!

I mean, pretty nice. It’s actually a pretty good app, even though it doesn’t get enough credit. I downloaded it for my animation memes, and I think it will be a big help. Still trying to figure out how to put your own videos in there, but hopefully I’ll figure out soon! All I want to say is it’s a pretty cool app, and I would recommend to get it
