Cash grab. This app isn’t horrible, and there is stuff to do, but it‘s bad. First of all, almost all of the song options are pop songs which don’t fit the idea of guitar. Apart from that, almost the entire game is behind a $40 paywall (worse how it’s not a one time thing), and if not that, there’s an ad just switching between screens, not even songs. And if ads are going to be forced, there could at least be a way to get the premium things for choosing to watch ads, but no, almost every guitar in the game plus several songs are blocked by the paywall

Good quality, but.... I love this app, but I played ONE song. After that, I decided t go play the same song again. I started to hit the first note of the song then, BOOM! The game froze and kicked me out. I tried again, but it did the same thing. The app is fun, but the bugs is why I gave it 3 stars, if fixed it will be a 5. : )

A Fun Musical Outlet. This app is so much fun, and seems to simulate a guitar very well. You can choose your instrument and play a variety of songs. As a former musician, I find this app to be very relaxing and enjoyable. And now I want to take up the guitar for real.

it is okay but…. At first I loved the ads for this game so I got it and I was happy cause it was free. But I read some reviews and they said so bad studd about the game but I just got it. Well I do hate that there a two ads after one song played and on one ad if you click out of it you still have to watch it to get your prize. That is pretty much my problem for this game…🙂

Signed up free trial. Not what I expected. I was thinking it is a great way to learn how to play guitar. I was wrong. This is more like playing a game and hitting the chords as it goes into the line. It is more about coordination. I couldn’t hear what I was hitting. All I could hear is the background music. I cancelled after 10 minutes of trying to figure out if there is more to this. But can’t figure it out if there is an actual lesson here. It was frustrating so I canceled. It was only after I canceled that I learned I was charged one year subscription even though I selected the trial version. I’m sure it is not the intention, but I feel swindled.

Worst game ever. Honestly I thought this would be a good game to teach me but when I start to do it right it always says I’m wrong when my fingers are where it wants me to be but the adds the adds are horrible it doesn’t matter if you start a new song or not between the song or restarting a song a 30 second or longer add comes on and honestly it is really really annoying

Guitar. I gave the app a 3 start because the amount of ads that are in the games is ridiculous. One ad after finishing one song then having to watch another to get the next. I’ve played other games like this that are just as good with less ads. Now if they were to remove some I would do a 4 start not five because there’s always room for improvement.

The game. The game is overall pretty fun it has fun songs and the people that sing these songs have nice voices my problem is that the game glitches a lot the ads sometimes don’t work and sometimes you can’t even hear the song

Ehhh. It’s ok. At first I thought it was a good nice game. But then the reviews caught my eyes. When I got in I thought it was only premium access only, but apparently not. According to the 1 and 2 star reviews, there was a light, small text in the bottom right corner of the screen. I couldn’t see it, until eventually I just started clicking in the bottom right corner. So I signed in to see that this could actually be good. Until... the 30 second unskippable ADs came in every single time you completed a song. AND who even knows if you can play it without internet. Honestly developer, good try but next time make it better. And based on the army of one stars I’ll give you a 2 since you didn’t completely fail. 😐

Fail. I was excited to try this app it sounded like the real deal and I read the comments saying that there was no free virsion and the reply’s from the developer that there was an option for it developers you were wrong it wants me to start the free trial and to do that I have to set up a payment option in the App Store and that’s not happening you still haven’t fixed this problem and from what I’ve seen im not the only one who had this same problem

BAD words. I got a ad that had the f word in it. I don’t think y’all should know the song, if you do PLEASE forget it btw I rated it 5 stars to get y’all attention cause Eid you don’t, it won’t show

So fun and very helpful for guitarist’s. I was born to be a guitarist and it was hard for me until I found this which helps you learn to play your favorite songs so 5 stars is my rate with this app

Guitar. I think this is a really cool app and I think you should make another version, that would be cool. I am learning guitar myself and this is helping me learn some more. A am giving this five stars because it is a really fun game.

This is a joke, right?. I mean really. You want a $40 subscription and to entertain the idea of even thinking of paying for something so ludicrous, you have to watch a 30 second video to play 15 seconds of a song on an instrument who’s sound doesn’t match the tone of the original music and when “playing” the instrument the song you picked is played over it so you can’t hear yourself play. Why bother? I can make music with my one year old daughters toy book piano with keys made to look like crayons. The five keys light up and may be even a little sticky, and THAT toy sounds better than what came out of this app. I’m more disappointed in myself being goat roped into downloading the app based on the teaser video. I just got knocked down a few pegs in the wise father category and I’ll spend the next few weeks avoiding scam calls and phishing emails to make up for it. Don’t bother with this app, you’re better off going to the dollar store and buying yourself a plastic kazoo and play along to Beverly Hills by Weezer because that’s “how you get down,” now.

Bruh. The free to use button is almost unseeable. It it in a tiny font in the middle of the huge texts saying to use the premium version. I didn’t find it until I looked into the reviews and saw someone saying it was small. There is also a 30 second add in between every single one of the short songs. I wouldn’t personally use it but I can see someone who is really into this kind of thing paying the money and enjoying it, so I’ll give it three stars instead of two.

Are you serious?. I like this game but it only gives you 15 seconds of a song there’s a buttload of ads and when I got every cord on dance monkey it said I got only a half of three stars.

Great but…. I love it. It’s fun and I could sit for hours just playing the game. I’m not going to complain about the ads as I understand why they are there. What I am going to complain about it for some reason when I play a song when I try to play a second one all sounds just ceases to exist. I try to play a second song on the guitar doesn’t make a noise I don’t hear the countdown and once the notes get close it just stops. The only fix to this is to completely restart the app. It’s annoying.

In no time I’ll be a pro. I LOVE this app because it’s a online guitar and It can help you no what to do you only need to get SimplyGuitar so you can tune your strings then you can delete SimplyGuitar and you can learn a bunch of songs and play it on your guitar .

Nope. This app is completely sneaky. The app is free to download but you can’t even start playing without paying for it. Why not just make people pay for the app itself instead. There is no way that this app has 4.4 stars. Read the reviews, the only ones I’ve seen have liked it are the ones willing to spend $8 every month for it. That’s ridiculous. I shouldn’t have to pay for the app after I downloaded it. Just throw the whole thing away.

PLEASE READ-Way too many adds. I played one song and got 5 adds in a mater of 10 seconds. Every button you hit; add. You open the game; add. You’re in the middle of a song? Oh well; ADD! It’s probably the most adds I’ve seen in a mater of seconds-they should get a world record. (Don’t take that as a complement, because I’ve been playing for 10 seconds and I’m already sick of Simply Piano adds) I’d rate it 0 stars, but I can’t-plus they probably only read the 5 star reviews, as most creators do, and say “Thank you for feedback. We love new suggestions for our game!” And do nothing about it, just saying. Don’t download unless you want to waste your time. If you want to update it, make the name “Add simulator-play guitar for 2 seconds as well, I guess”. DO NOT DOWNLOAD.

To many ads. The ads last longer than the songs plus u gotta watch one before and after EVERY song and idk if it’s my phone or the app but ones not calibrated properly so… yea be warned

This app charges without being renewed. I went into iTunes and unsubscribe to this app in July and it is now mid August and another charge for this is was charged to my account. This app is not even on my phone any longer so I did not go in and renew my subscription I was just charged. I have a report in at this time waiting to be reviewed. I would not recommend this app to anyone for just that reason an I see in reviews and online I am not the only person to be charged like this. I did not enjoy the app it is why I canceled it.

Sneaky charges don’t download. This app is trash and it’s catch is to charge you multiple times for a subscription you don’t even authorize. They do not send you any type of email to let you know you’ve been signed up for a subscription service (for a mediocre guitar emulator app) I rate -5 stars but unfortunately 1 is the minimum requirement. There are much better choices on the App Store that won’t coerce you into a subscription service, that can’t even send out email notices to let you know of potential charges. My son downloaded this app on my phone and probably used it for 1.2 secs and it was never opened again. Never received an email from the company just multiple charges. All in all throw the whole app away. Unless getting scammed is your thing then by all means.

Out of time. It’s a fun app to play, but a lot of the songs feel out of time when the chords are being called out. It just doesn’t feel right. It’s almost like it’s a step ahead of the beat and if you wait for a normal 4 step beat you end up strumming to late. Really weird feeling when your used to playing music then trying this app. Fix that issue and it would be great.

Review from a real musician. Personally I've been playing guitar for 10 years now, and this app is unfortunately a huge disappointment. It's a joke for the developers to market it as a way to learn guitar, this is nothing like the real thing. I expected it to at least teach you rythym but even that is a drag, cell phones aren't meant to be used as instruments nor the apps designed for them. I can see this app being fun, but for it to actually teach you the instrument itself, that is where this app and all other instrumental apps associated with it lacks.

Why I wrote 3 stars. I love this game but it only has 1 problem. It glitches way to much, when I try to play a song it glitches in the middle of it and it doesn’t help you learn anything all it does is let you tap and it doesn’t have any keys. Anyway I hope you try to fix these issues but even if you can’t fix this it’s still a fun game

The game is good the commercials are bad. I do like the game and I would’ve gave it five stars but it has a lot of commercials and every commercial is very long. It makes you not want to play that often because of the commercials

I love it but there is problems that I think you should fix.. Hi! Love the game. This game is the best thing I ever had, me and my sister play turns of each round on each one we would get like 1000 and more. And see who would win 2 retrys then we would go on the next song. Some retrys there a glitch that the song stops and screen stops. I don’t know if it’s because of my iPad or it’s because of the game because my other games don’t glitch so yea the other thing in my opinion that the free trail is nuts. It’s 40$ a month for VIP songs. But I’m not judging but maybe you could do like 15$ or 10$ or something other than not $40? Speaking of it there not much ads. I mean you have to watch an ad if you want to play a song which there is like 50 songs. But other than that the ones you watch you don’t have to watch an ad when you get in it. Um it’s great but.... I loveeeee the app it’s rlly fun there’s so many songs u can play but for beginners it may be hard bc after the countdown, it starts going pretty fast. So yeah but overall there’s a lot of great songs and it’s pretty fun

Great game but….. Once you get past the ads between every song, it is a fun game to play. I can sit here forever and try to do the guitar kinda like guitar hero except the songs are only partial, and you have to watch 30 second ads between each song you select and a 5 second ad after everyone that you play. This is not worth $30 a year by any means to play a game. If it was a couple of dollars for no ads just to play the game, I do it in a heartbeat. It’s like the piano tiles game but with guitar. It’s really neat. I just wish you could shut the ads off for less than $8.99 a week (or lessen the ads). I believe this App also show you how to play these on a real guitar, OK for that I can see maybe 20 or $30 a year but not just for the game. Anyway, the game is really fun I just get really tired of all the ads.

Not very good.. First, the free service button is barely visible, making it seem you have to pay to play it. Next, all of the songs are most likely non copyrighted stock music, which is fine, but you only get like 7 songs in the free version. The game isn't even very good in the first place either; It doesn't even teach you a bit about how to play a guitar.

Not what I thought. This is not what I thought it would be. Maybe if the song choices were better. And maybe you got to play more of the song. Maybe if there was more background band type music to go with it. Not a fan. Did the 7 day trial but will not be buying.

Changed my opinion. I just wanted to play the guitar and I can do it for free. Unfortunately the premium subscription cross is too small that to see it. However it is better then nothing

Great app!!. Ok first of all, I don’t CARE of 1 or two star ratings, this app is AMAZING, I don’t even need the trail, I can watch a ad to play the songs I like, cool right? Second, these are so much fun from lockdown, this app is perfect. About the trail, just don’t buy, you can still have a TON of fun with free version. Lastly, some people said this is a scam, it IS NOT. Otherwise the app would be 1 star. The only disadvantage is that I want lessons and make most of them for free so it can be fair. I have some trouble learning. Other than that, THIS APP IS AMAZING!!

Fun but has issues. I enjoy playing when I can play. I’ve found that in the 24 hours since I installed this I’ve had to restart a song or the whole app just to get past the first note of a song up to 6 times before I can play through it once. If that could be fixed I’d probably give a higher rating.

This guitar app is my favorite because #1 I don’t play a guitar and I never never look a guitar and say oh that look fun to play. #2 when I go my phone and I am bored I go straight to this app and play it and if I look a my screen time it say that I been playing on this app for about hour and an half so if I was you I would download this app if you don’t have it.

Great game,but a glitch. Hello, this game is very cool.I really liked it, but there’s one little glitch. Sometimes I’m about to start a song but then the song just stops.I tried to retry the song but it doesn’t work, so I have to go back to the track menu and redo the song, Which causes me to watch an ad. Devs, if you see this please fix this glitch.

Worst guitar app on the market. Don’t even waste your time downloading it because as soon as you do it asks you to start a free trail or a 7 day trail and $7.59 a week after. The trick is even if you click the free trial it tries to charge you don’t risk it accidentally registering your finger and wasting your money on this trash if it’s not free then don’t advertise it as being free. This app should be removed for false advertising

Scam. Scam scam scam this app is absolute trash download it it charges you tells you it’s a free trial but charges you anyways no way to get out of the app after it’s downloaded this is absolute garbage bunch of thieves. I don’t recommend, unless you have a lot of patience.. I enjoyed this app…. for 10 minutes. You play only a short section of each song and it’s like 15 seconds. Meanwhile ads are 30 seconds, you can’t skip them either. Sometimes it’s as soon as you finish one level, and then you have to watch another 30 second ad to move on to the next level, so this game is mostly piles of ads. I can understand that people need to make a living and that ads help make the game better since it’s free, but seriously, that’s way too many considering the amount of time you actually play the guitar. At least make them shorter. I would be fine with it if there were ads to move onto another level as long as it was only 5 seconds. Recently I went through reviews and saw the developers responded to many people who don’t like the amount of ads. It was mostly the same things, but the fact that all these people are complaining and suggesting how to make this better and the developers DO SEE them, yet this hasn’t been resolved is pretty lame. Please consider this because I really think this game would’ve been 4 or 5 stars (in my opinion) without the loads of long ads.

Not as bad. So some people think you need to use the subscription to get off that screen but lols they clearly are blind because there is ligit an X in the corner of the screen! You press it and bam no paying. Plus you just watch a video to get songs I mean I would do it. It’s a ripoff. I tried it and didn’t like it, I couldn’t find a way to unsubscribe so I offloaded it from my phone and delated app. I have been charged twice now a total of $132. Total ripoff!

Don’t waste your time, NOT FREE!. Don’t download, the app immediately requests you sign up to a paid subscription. The developers response to all the reviews is that there is a free restricted version. But the app does not give you this option.

Poor effort.. You say you can play the unrestricted version of this game. But you have not told anyone how to do so :\ most company’s go as far as hiding the little x you have to find to play the unpaid version, but you guys actually don’t have one.

Misleading. Downloaded the app because it was free and although I checked that there were some in-game purchases. But nowhere mentioned that you have to pay so a “subscription” seconds after you open the app. Very misleading! Maybe come up with few demos for people for at least check it out how it is and then later up to them to decide whether to buy it or not.

Free trial with a catch. Downloaded this to see how good it is, and if it is good I was happy to consider in app purchases. Only way to play is to commit to a 3 day free trial immediately followed by a payment plan. Whilst you can cancel before the 3 days expire I was so annoyed that I could not try without committing to a payment plan that I just deleted the app.

Subscription pop ups and ads. I would definitely pay for an app like this but pushing a subscription that is the equivalent cost of Netflix, means I’m going to delete. Great game though.

How do I end my subscription?. The wording of how to do this in the Ts&Cs is confusing and I can’t find anything within the app to end my subscription.

Misleading!!. So I have been sitting here for nearly 30 minutes trying to not do the Subscription which I won’t have to do. I have been reading the reviews and the developer response says you don’t have to use the subscription if I don’t want to pay which I don’t but I don’t know how to because i can’t get off the screen with the subscription thing P.S. do NOT send a response saying I don’t have to use the subscription I know that but I would like a response telling me how to get off the screen.

Development liar. Sorry but I read the reviews and response by the developer, I downloaded the app, my only choice was the 7 day free trial leading into a subscription! At no time was I promptly deleted.

Horrible. There is way to many ads and it is very glitchy. In my opinion it’s a piece of crap.

Don’t waste your time. It let’s you play a chorus of a song then tells you to pay for the full version. You will have to sit through a 30 second ad to get to that meager chorus.

Scam: Should be removed from App Store. Must subscribe to $10/week plan to use, no free option, interface is one big crappy advertisement. There are only two options on the main screen and both subscribe you to the plan after a week. Basically a scam. Also, all of the hundreds of 5 star reviews except a handful are rating-only, the developers are buying reviews for this scam app and advertising all over Instagram hoping to get people to accidentally subscribe to the $10/week plan. Their entire business model is a scam

Actually good. Honestly, I have no idea what everyone else is saying. I just got the game and there is a free trial so you don’t need to pay the ridiculous amount of $10 a week. If you’re just starting to play guitar like me and dedicate your time to this game (even the free version) I’m sure you can learn a lot.

Free Version. I’ve been using the free version of the app for the past month and love playing many songs. For those of you who can’t find the free version: the app is very tricky. You need to read the details on the screen the first time you install it. The button to go to the free version looks simply like a text and it doesn’t seem like you can click on it but you can. After that every time you open the app, there is a VERY FADED red “X” button on the top left of the screen which is blended with almost similar red colour background. When you click on it, you can skip the trail page. Getting past why the company is making it so hard to get access to the free version and why it’s SO expensive for the premium version, I love the app. And the ads aren’t that much for the free version. Great selection of musics and very enjoyable to play.

Who made this?!. This is a horrible emulator, its wonky and doesn’t feel right. The music selection is just outright terrible. The people who made those songs don’t know the first thing about music. And yes they do charge you to play theres no way around it so this game is not free. The only game that was played here was them playing with my free time.

Charging without Authorization. This app charged me for a month and a half even though I never subscribed to the weekly premium subscription. I found out about these weekly charges on the bill and am frustrated that I was never notified about the charges until now. Do not download. Terrible app.

Do not download this app. I contacted apple for refund. They will take your money by signing you up to some subscription. You don’t get any notification whatsoever and they charge you 8 dollar every week. I didn’t even know about this until app store shot me an email. Again DO NOT download. Wow. I downloaded this game under the assumption that it would be 100% free to play, considering it is free in the App Store. Turns out you have to pay $7.50 a WEEK. To play around with this app. Sure it has lessons, but why make the game part hidden behind a massive pay wall. Do not download unless you are willing to fork out major cash on a supposedly free app.

App probably gave me viruses.. Downloaded this app happy to play, but the tried to open it and almost completely stopped my phone. I couldn’t turn it on for a good 10 minutes and still had trouble trying just to close the app. Not a trustworthy app in my opinion.

really? trial before try?. I installed this app from an ad within another app. I open it only to find a 7 day free trial which automatically converts which meant an automatic and immediate uninstall. No mention of that free trial before install (pads the install data, I imagine). The lack of integrity is astounding...if it’s that good it would stand on its own merits.

Name is misleading.. Do not use this app as a tool to learn guitar or really anything about music. Other than the wrong way to learn how to play. The app has songs that don’t even have a guitar in them. Then the fact that the notes follow the vocals instead of the music is bonkers. No good.
