Virtual Appointment Using MyPrivia APP. Since COVID-19, I have had two virtual appointments on my phone using the MyPrivia app. Both appointments were flawless with regard to the operation of the app. What I really liked was that I didn’t have to actually log into the app for the visit - I merely had the app installed on my phone. All I had to do was to click on the text message link I received prior to the appointment, complete the check in, and wait for my doctor to join the virtual appointment. I had already been using the app to access my records, schedule appointments, and to communicate with my doctor. I found having the ability to have a virtual appointment very helpful and convenient.
Frustrated I even have to use this app. •I was sent a bill for a copay I paid and have an invoice for from this app •I have been overcharged and cannot apply my credit to my future weekly appointments •me and my minor child cannot be on the same account like all other apps for our other dr offices. We have to have an email for each person even tho all other apps we have used so far let you have one account (especially to include a minor) and we just toggle back and forth. On this app we have to log in back and forth for each person •when you log in and select remember me, it doesn’t and you still have to log in every single time •just brIngs us frustration. I now have to keep calling my dr office’s awful billing department to try and get a refund (which we still haven’t gotten for weeks)
Subpar. Having to scroll through dozens of providers to find mine, then scrolling though dozens of practices to find the correct one is beyond absurd. Why isn’t my provider already linked to me? At the very least, my isn’t the practice linked to the provider. I haven’t ever been able to find the practice even after finding the provider. Let’s be honest, this is mostly a payment processing terminal. Getting to my health or diagnostic data is a pain and generally is incomplete. The app is clunky and difficult to navigate. Very weak!
Even worse now!. Well, MyPrivia only made their App worse. An error page shows up when the “messages” icon is used, so no access to any messages. Have to login twice to do anything. No Virtual and since no more messages it’s simpler by phone. My suggestion is that MyPrivia finds something they CAN do or at least get somebody who will make the App what it’s supposed to be. As it is, I’m going to ask my Doctor about switching. If MyPrivia lacks the competence to make a working App, then I have no confidence in how MyPrivia is handling my Health Information.
Terrible app and overall platform. My experience with the whole Privia platform has been complete garbage. The website gives your error messages that certain things (like messaging) can only be done from the app but the app doesn’t allow you to even log in to access anything more than the log in landing page. Not sure if the log in issue is on the Athena Health side of things or Privia itself, but this needs some serious updates and bug fixes.
Trash. MyPrivia in general is horrible. They’ve been robocalling me for days worse than spammers. When I finally called my practice they had no idea how to help me. I figured to log in to the website to change my communications preferences - great. Then I find out I have a message from my provider, so I go to check it. Somehow I can’t access messages from my phone browser because MyPrivia needs access to third party tracking cookies to make that possible? So my only option on my phone is to download this trash app? Why is my doctor’s office wasting their money on this?
If I could give it 0 stars I would. My doctor is new to Privia and I honestly have considered changing doctors, the app is so bad!! I needed to send a question to my doctor which we always had the ability to do before and it is impossible now. When it takes you to the website to send a message, I select my doctor and then it asks for a location- followed by every clinic associated with the app IN NO GOOD ORDER and NO ABILITY TO SEARCH. Without that information it will not let you send a message. I searched for half an hour and gave up. FRUSTRATING
Indiscreet and awkward. First of all, your entire medical history is on display on the front page, for every medical practitioner who uses it. I really don’t need my orthopedists office to see that I’m on medication for a yeast infection. It doesn’t seem pertinent to my Achilles tendinitis. Also, every medication just hangs around forever, as if you’re eternally on antibiotics, or whatever. It’s in accurate. Secondly, the app is awkward to use. I have to log in every time, even though “remember me” is always checked. I wish the doctors I see used a different service. I am not at all impressed with this one.
Would like Apple Health integration. App as it stands is somewhat subpar.. This doesn’t seem like a modern medical practice. A modern medical practice would include the ability to view and access any results in Apple Health without having to open up the (subpar) app. I would like to be able to update my pharmacy when I’m not preparing for an office visit, or see confirmations of whether a prescription has been sent. Would also like to see office notes from my doctor.
Not useful. I asked sometime last year why I am NOT able to delete read messages. I was told “it was being worked on” I'm still not able to delete messages. I don’t understand why you have a medical record app that allows for so little functionality. I don’t need to see old messages that have no relevance. Also whenever I log in there is a message stating that I have a “new message.” I do not! That’s been there from the beginning and I can’t get rid of the notice. Another frustration is that medical imaging reports are not available for viewing. I’d like to see my own reports. There are frequent updates but so far I’ve not encountered anything useful to me in any of these many updates. I’ve used other very good electronic record applications in the past that were easy to navigate and held relevant information. It was easy to request a refill' an appointment or a referral with a couple steps. This app is far less than anything I’ve used previously. It’s is extremely dissatisfying and disappointing.
Virtual visits. Virtual visits on the myPrivia app are mediocre. Because of the coronavirus all copays have been “waived”, but you can’t check in for your appointment to see your provider until you pay. Also I do not like that all of your medications, and diagnosis are on display for any practitioner you see at Healthfirst. As Far as the virtual visit with your practitioner, it’s about the only positive experience within this app. No problems or issues at all once you are in you’re actual virtual visit.
Fantastic Health Care Platform. I found myself needing medical consultation during the Covid crisis and was very pleased with the app and the service I received. I was able to easily maneuver through the procedures and share pictures during FaceTime. I’d use this process all the time although I’d miss seeing my health care professionals. If you have ever wished you could just receive treatment over the phone, this is for you!
terrible app; can’t access doctor communications. I rarely write app reviews but I felt compelled to do so for this one. My doctor sent me a message. I could not access it on the web; the website instructed me to download this app. Fine. I do so. But I can’t access messages here either! The app just keeps loading and freezing, or telling me there is an error. Please fix this app ASAP so people can communicate with their providers — and view the information they need to see for their healthcare!! Honestly, what a mess
POORLY DEVELOPED, INEFFICIENT, and INFURIATING. This app should make things more efficient for both patients and office employees, but it doesn’t. To accomplish anything, I have to log in twice. Once I’m finally logged in, I consistently receive messages saying that whatever feature I’m trying to use is unavailable. I haven’t been able to schedule an appointment through the app in months, and whether or not I’m able to send a message is always a crapshoot. It’s unfortunate that doctors’ offices are having to waste their time dealing with the fallout from such a poorly developed and poorly managed app, when the intention is to make things more efficient for them. As a patient, I’ve made every effort to give this app a fair chance but have seen NO IMPROVEMENTS over the course of the year I’ve been forced to use it.
Cannot pay bill. The app offers an option to pay bills through the app but I keep getting a notification that it needs to be updated to support paying bills securely. My app is up to date so it must be on the developers end. Please fix this because it would be great not to avoid the merrygoround of signing into apps and then browsers. I just want to pay my bills.
Website shortcut. I agree that it’s not my favorite interface. I have two offices that use it, so I’m stuck. I was excited that there was an app because the mobile site is dreadful, but the app isn’t great. No quick log in option (I get not staying logged in since it’s medical information, but you can’t throw me a Face ID/fingerprint option?) Some of the tabs just send you to the awful mobile site. Navigation isn’t super intuitive. I’m sure the doctor chat and appointment scheduling is a nice feature, but the stuff I want (test results, message history, pay a bill) isn’t good. I don’t want to go to the mobile site, that’s why I downloaded the app.
Did the developer bother testing this App before release?. It’s laughable how not user friendly this app is. The most annoying issue that I am dealing with today is that whenever I go to use the “health” section of the app, it opens the browser for me and forces me to log into their desktop website, which is not mobile compatible. Once I get logged into the desktop site via my browser, it gives an error message that this part of the site is not supported (obviously), and that I should download the app…the same which directed me to the mobile site. I can’t.
Most frustrating app ion my phone. Two stars for being able to communicate with my doctor, but email would’ve worked just as fine. Zero stars for literally everything else. It is forever giving me error messages and logging me out. My blood pressure rises ten notches just trying to get to my test results. So much clocking to get to what you need. I’ve been using it for over a year, so this isn’t new user error.
Non functional app. Told via email to log in to web account, gives an error and says to download app to resolve. So I download app and log in. Message says thanks for opting into the online payment and to go to the billing tab. Trouble is there is no billing tab, in fact no tabs at all. Find billing link in menu and go there. Requires the billing invoice number to get to the actual billing. Don’t have that because I can’t find a billing tab or get to it from here. Frustrated, I check on my appointment and it isn’t in the system. The app is essentially non-functional in a practical sense.
Mrs. S.K.. I have had 3 virtual appointments with Privia, and found it is very easy. I was sent a reminder to be sure I had downloaded the app well ahead of the appointment and then a link before the appointment, which took me to the waiting room. In a few minutes, my doctor was there and we were seeing each other and talking. I loved not having to spend a large part of my day to dress, drive to my appointment, sometimes walk a distance to get to the office. I can see and talk with my provider in the comfort of my home.
Overall Application. Good app, reminders and links work better than others I’ve used in these last few months. The only reason I’m not rating it 5 star is we had a voice issue on one call where I could hear the Physician but he could not hear me ( I was not on mute). But that issues resolved itself within 5 minutes or so.
Terrible app all around. It’s a travesty that medical practices are being scammed into using this god awful system. This app demands access to much more functionality on your phone than it should ever need. It’s a privacy nightmare, yet doesn’t even offer any simplified login options such as FaceID. You can no longer send messages through your computer, Privia forces you to use the app, forcing me to finally download it. Well, none of my messages were ever received by my provider! I ran out of medication and could not get a refill in time because of this piece of crap. What’s the point? I love my provider but her office relies on this TERRIBLE platform so much, I’ll be looking for a new practice.
DNR. They seem to spend more time telling the user how they’ve listened and improved instead of devoting that energy into actually providing a functioning app. Acquiring information is very challenging but sending a message to a provider is impossible. Isn’t that the point of an app like this? Sending and receiving information to and from one’s provider? Like virtually all apps these days, appearance and flashiness are prioritized over function and this one most definitely does not function. DNR the existing development team because it’s too far gone, and please start anew.
Little functionality, launches inoperable webpages. This app has very little functionality outside of sending messages to the provider. To view actual health information and test results, it launches a webpage in the browser, but just like their desktop version, their website is barely compatible with any web browser. Their webpage looks like it was designed 20 years ago, and they have the audacity to tell me that my up-to-date browser is out of date? Yeah, okay.
Worst Health App EVER!. If I could give -10 stars, I would! I have to call customer service every time I want to access my account because it won’t recognize my login information. I’m tired of resetting my password every time I want to log in and then calling customer service because the app won’t recognize the new password. This has been a frustrating experience from the start! I’d delete it, but it’s what my Drs office uses, so I’m stuck with it for the duration. 🤬
Lousy. This is my first use of this ap and wish there was another way. It forces me to put all my insurance info online. My doctor already has all of that info. Why do Zi need to put it here where it can be hacked? I attempted to use my laptop for the appointment. Neither my camera or microphone worked with this ap despite the fact that I participate with both ZOOM and Go to Meeting for other projects. When I switched to my phone, I wasn’t given the option to check either. My appointment is tomorrow, so I hope this works.
Not working. Whatever bug fixes that were just done sure didn’t get them all! Every step I follow to enter information results in an error message. Encouraging me to “try again”. After following this advice a couple of times I realized I was on a fools errand. Please test your apps before releasing them. There is nothing special about my setup. It is a modern iPhone that is regularly updated and is connected to broadband wifi. The only possible reason this app isn’t working is that it cannot work due to its defective programming and back end support. Stop wasting our time and corroding our trust in these systems that stand the chance of improving health care in this country.
Seriously!?. I saw my doctor yesterday, I got a message that I can review the summary of my visit. So I went to their website to see the review which lead me to a page saying I needed to download the app. I downloaded it, then I opened the app and the app sent me to the website, again telling me to download the app. So, I called and spoke to a very apathetic person who treated me like I was dumb. I’m pretty tech savvy so I’m pretty sure the issue is on their end. He had me click on the same stuff I was just clicking on, then put me on hold for about 20 minutes, then all of a sudden without warning they just connected me to my dr.’s office where I left a message. Seriously? Nothing is resolved and I would like to read my summary. I understand how this app is supposed to save time and give us access to our records, but so far it has waisted my time, the person from my Privia and now a nurse that is going to have to return my phone call. Seems like a print out of my summary while I was at the doctor would have saved everyone some time.
Patient Portal. I’m so frustrated with this terrible Patient Portal. It’s quite impossible to work one’s way through the maze. I had a message from my doctor tha I read. When I went back to reread it it wasn’t there anymore. Please get a prifessional company that knows how to create a portal. I’ve had some good ones in the past but this is the worst. I moved to this practice because my doctor moved but I’d hate to leave her because of this portal. If this isn’t right what makes me think how the practice is run.
Does not work. Tried logging in and got left with the spinning circle. Called tech support and they told me this is a known issue that they were working on and should be resolved soon. This was over 2 months ago, problem is still there. Was told to just use the website for the time being but that’s not better either. The website is clunky and will not work half the time. I hate that my kid’s pediatrician uses this platform. They need to fire their entire IT staff and hire some competent people to get the site and app working properly. I’d settle for simply working.
App does not work. It just doesn’t work. The website tells you to get the app. But the app then kicks you to the website to log in. Back in the app, logged in, you click something and are asked to log in again. You log in again (on the website) only to learn that the message function doesn’t work in app or on the website. It suggests calling but I already know they don’t answer…that’s why I went online…and was forced to get an app that constantly forces me back to the nonfunctional website. This is not a tool, it is a barrier to communication (and I might be forced to switch doctors because of it).
Don’t use this to pay bills. Do not give your credit card number! I added a credit card for bill payment and am now being charged for bills that are clearly erroneous. There is no detail one can see about billing except date of service and a very brief description, and no info about if/what my insurance paid. So far I’ve spent 45 mins on the phone and still can’t find anyone to help me. I also can’t find, anywhere on the app, where my credit card info is so I can remove it. Horrible customer service!
Definition of useless. Horrible app. Trying to do anything on this app is impossible. When I tried to confirm an appt from a link in a txt msg, the website it opens gives me an error msg and recommends I download the app. So I downloaded the app only for it to re route me BACK to the website and more error msgs. You CANNOT pay your bill online and you CANNOT access your medical info without logging into your myAthena account ONLY for it to give you an error msg. If your doctor uses either piece of software you’re in for a lot of frustration.
Mediocre. This app is rather clunky. I’ve been using it for approximately five years, and always have the same issues. The log-in process is the worst. Rarely get logged in on first try, and it’s not me. Unexplained error messages. When I get in, I almost always get kicked out after performing one task. The ONLY reason I’m giving 3 stars is that it’s better than the competition, if any exist. Most of my docs are stuck in the 20th century, in terms of electronic records management.
Needs overhaul!. There are MANY medical record apps available & this one seems to have been created to fulfill the purpose of saying the company has one! - It redirects you for many things back to the website, very frustrating. Ie. All health records, labs, care summary, medications, etc. - If it keeps the information you put in, ie. Payment, insurance etc not sure where it’s stored, it has to be reentered all the time. - logging in password isn’t saved, unable to use Face ID to login. Doesn’t let you have the option view your password as you type it. Sometime app will redirect you to website to login then take you back to app. -appointments, can only see future not past (ex needed to check a date seen) -after visit summary, notes or orders not available The functionality mention above are just the basic updates needed to create a positive end user experience!
Medical appointments on time with Privia!. Before writing a review of this app, first I wanted to use it with different physicians, then over multiple appointments. Privia Virtual not only provides an excellent alternative to a office visit, but the physician actually shows up at the appointment time! So far, every virtual visit has been on time and very clear. I hope the physician’s continue to offer the service.
Useless. Only one person per account. So if you think you are going to share your account with a family member, i.e., your 90 year old mother, be aware, it won’t let you. Simply Ridiculous!! If you did, you’ve locked yourself out and their computer techs have no work around. In addition, all lab results do not populate. Every two weeks my mother submits to lab work. She should receive four reports. Only one report populates. The doctor has to print out the remainder reports. Simply Pathetic!!
Awful app. This app is useless. Finding results or a useful summary is impossible. You can see appointments once you call and make one but you can’t schedule an appointment or see your balance or make a payment. You can’t find health history other than a list of medicines and dates for vaccines. Nothing else shows up. It requires you to sign in over every time you want to see a different page and then freezes. There is not much reason to even download it.
Messages READ remain UNREAD (17%). I began using the Privia app and web page in 2019. There are many issues but my feedback today is limited to messaging. I can write, read, and reply using both the web version and within the app however: There are 7 messages out of 42 that I have “read” but remain marked “unread”. In the app, it shows 7 new at log in but going to the list of messages, they all look the same. Only by changing the filter to “unread” can I see the 7. On the web, each of these 7 are clearly marked as new. This inconsistency in presentation is odd. In both the app and web, reading them does nothing to change the status and I can’t find a way to manually change it from unread (new) to read. I can even move it to archive then restore it to my inbox yet it remains unread. I’ve not seen any other messaging app without the ability to get it right or at least have a way to select and change the status manually. This is such a basic issue you know the quality of this app is lacking!
useless app, not acting as an app, still browser based. Purpose of an app to carry browser based activities to app for easy access. This app does not allow you to login to the portal within but directing the users to browser. So practically it is useless. You might as well use the browser and avoid the app. iOS saves you password to use the browser anyways. In simple terms, the App itself provides no data or functionality but act as a shell to use the browser . I am not certain if app designer per know what an app is for. Strange indeed.
Terrible, useless app. Had to call tech support to find out that I had to change privacy settings in my phone/iPad so the app could work on apple products (this isn’t required with ANY of the multitude of other medical portals/apps I use). The app does not remember login info— have to open “Passwords” every single time. For anything other than messaging a provider, the app redirects and OPENS THE WEBPAGE — it’s not even a functioning APP! Why bother? Just go to the slow-loading, clunky website, because that’s all the app is going to do anyway. Received an email saying I have a balance due. Regardless of whether I click the link in the email, open the app, or go directly to the website, I’m unable to pay the bill for various reasons. Hard to believe intelligent medical practices would ever choose this company to manage their bill paying and records keeping.
Needs Work. If I want to do anything except read messages, it makes me sign in a second time. This is very annoying. Beyond that, the layout is poor. I was trying to find notes from my last appointment. Where to go in the menu is not obvious. Also, as an older person with poor vision, the fonts are not the easiest to read. Need to be bold, high contrast.
Not working on iPad Pro. Seems that since the last update, this will not allow the app to work on and iPad Pro gen 4 running iPadOS 14.3. Log in check in and function test doesn’t work. Settings for safari set to request desk top and set to request mobile site, still not working. In this time it is most important to fix the app. either fix the app or stop virtual visits, most frustrating. I will give this another shot later today when I have my appointment. If this is not repaired I will be changing providers. Get it right, or state in the emails not working on ipad os, use you phone only. How many people will change to a different provider because of the lack of service and attention provided. It is inexcusable.
Frustrating terrible app. You can’t do everything online so they make you download this app, then when you’re in the app, you can’t see/do everything in there, so it sends you back to the website! It’s horrible. This app is so frustrating to use and not at all user friendly. I would never have downloaded it if I didn’t have to. Wish I could delete it! Constant back and forth between the app and the website and then certain things like seeing a billing statement you can’t do either from your phone and have to use a computer! Dumb, frustrating and I hate it lol
Should be criminal to have a medical app this bad. This is a medical app. Either fix it so it works, or just close your business down and go do something else that isn’t so important to people. The developers of the MyPrivia app should be ashamed of themselves. This app shouldn’t even be allowed on the App Store because it is completely useless. Worse, it pretends to work and simply does not. Constant errors. Zero functionality. All medical providers who choose this app must despise their patients.
What year is the message??. In messages, the month and day, but not the year appear. For example: I received an email today, February 19, 2021 that says I have a new message from my doctor. Under messages (which are hard to open), there is a Feb 18 message entitled New Message. With a little sleuthing, I found that was new 3 years ago, but 2018 appeared nowhere on or in the message! Developers, please include the year on messages!
Easy to use. I was hesitant to have a virtual visit with my medical provider, however times demanded it happen. I received a message on my phone just prior to the appt time. I selected this message. The screen told me I was in the virtual waiting room and my provider would be with me when she was finished with the previous patient. When she was ready, she then appeared on my screen and it was just like using FaceTime, Zoom or any other type of app. Very simple! I would highly recommend it. Do not be afraid of using it...saves time, stress of going into the office, etc.
Incompatible with IPhone. This app was never very friendly with iPhones to begin with but a recent update has made it even less compatible as I can no longer use the messaging function. It was the best part about the app as it kept me from waiting on long phone calls for simple questions. I can still view my bills, but not pay them, and my appointments but that’s it. It keeps telling me I need to update safari because it’s looking for Java and Flash which don’t run on iPhones. At this point I’ll be deleting the app as it’s nothing better or more useable than an office visit.
Dangerous to patients lives. It constantly gets my two sons mixed up for their medical profile since it’s on the same account, so results and visit notes are randomly located between both children. Medical notes and lab reports constantly disappear for no reason. I’m sure they are in my doctors actual notes somewhere, but if any medical providers were to use this system for anything they would never be able to reply on the information and patients can’t trust it either. So many of the appointments that used to show in there are just missing completely. The app doesn’t even function anymore as a real app, it just takes you to the website to look at stuff and the only information in there at all is from 2022.
Just the web site. All this app does is a shortcut to the web site, and at that I get a notice that my browser is out of date (I’m on the most recent iOS). Does not allow user ID and password to be saved, no ability to use touch/finger print. When searching for a doc, page does not refresh when changing dates. You can’t directly request an appointment with your doc. App appears to be just an interface that poorly directs you to different web sites. Not sure how this app gets a 4.3 when it’s so bad. Horrible App. Not user friendly.. This app is required by my doctors office. This app is horrible. To view messages, you have to use the app. To view lab work, you have to log on to the website. The app doesn’t send me ANY kind of notification when I receive a message from my provider. A previous doctors office used EPICs platform and it was more user friendly and was able to see a lot more of my medical records.
Garbage App. I would rate this 0 stars if I could. In order to see any lab results, you have to use a computer instead. Because if you try to view it in the app, it asks you to log in via safari, then just doesn’t show your labs, then asks you to download the app! What a useless system, incredibly frustrating, and any medical provider that uses Athena health should be ashamed.
Abysmal. This is an awful app. You’re better off hitting the website on a desktop machine. First, it gave me a warning about having an outdated version of Safari (I’m running iOS 13.1.2) and then it won’t save the login to the patient portal, warning that you will “lose your work” if you go back to the main screen. 🤦♂️ However, this is a *great* example of the crappy sort of apps you get when you go with the lowest bidder.
Can't connect to virtual visits. For the past two months now I have been unable to successfully join a virtual appointment on my iPad. I click the link in my email and the app just displays waiting to connect, even when my doctor's office has started the appointment. This used to work so I'm not sure what killed this functionality in the last update, but this seems like critical functionality that's been broken with no indication a fix is on the way.
Horrible!. My first experience with your service is this app, and it’s making me question whether I should continue with this doctor at all. As it happens, my wife is considering a corporate contract with Privia, and I’ll warn her how awful the technology is before she signs that contract. No browsers work? Dumb-because I can’t get from the confirmation email to the app, and don’t have sign in information so can’t enter the app directly.
Awesome!. This is a great way to schedule an appointment when I can’t make it into the office. I like that I have the option to see the same doctor in-person, or via video chat.
Horrible. Appoints not showing. Messages sent over a month ago show as unread and I never received a response. Cannot check in for virtual visit scheduled for Monday at 3:45pm . I have a notice when I open the app what changes have been updated but none of the updates show on my phone or tablet. Very disappointed!!!
Absolutely Terrible. I can’t describe the level of frustration that comes with navigating MyPrivia app. When a doctor sends me a message and I get an email notification, I should be able to respond to read the message through my iPhone, regardless whether it is via web log-in or the app. I shouldn’t have to remove/uncheck my pop-up blocker. Why should my information be at risk to read a message?
Not able to access case summary notes. Virtual consults work great! Video and sound were clear. However, I am not able to access case summary notes or the most current lab reports. When I go to history, it says I need to download the App. But, I am using it!
Doesn’t work. I received an email saying they had a summary of my appointment for me if I logged onto their patient portal. I then spent the next 15 minutes logging in on the website then being told to login on the app (which I had to download) which then told me to log into the website, which then told me to login on the app, and so on. I’ll be suggesting to my doctor that they should use a different patient portal service.
Great. App works great and is user friendly. There are a few sections that are different from the desktop website.
Virtual Visit. Have been using the app for a few years now to schedule appointments, pay bills, review my clinic notes and test results. Have had no problems. I have had one virtual visit that also went very smoothly.
Virtual visits on iPad version broken for a month now. Last update killed virtual visits on iPad. Have called tech support - seems like a known issue, but no solutions for resolution. Totally unacceptable during a pandemic when many offices are doing virtual visits only. Thankfully we have other devices available to do our virtual visits, but the broken functionality could mean some families are unable to see a doctor during the pandemic.
Don’t be afraid of technology.. Please give process a chance.. especially if you aren’t a “Tech” person. When you get the hang of it, it makes seeing your Dr. so much easier.
So bad. On an iPad, I can’t read the messages in the browser and have to install the app. The app however doesn’t show all of my dependents and MyPrivia buckets each message under the dependent and not one big inbox. So i have two options: see all of my dependents on the web but not be able to read messages or be able to read messages in the app but not see all dependents.
Error. This ridiculous application gives me constant apologies for errors. How about you just fix it so I don’t have to blow up your phone lines with calls. The messaging part is horrid and I have no way to know if I received a response from my provider. It’s easier to get in my truck and drive over there than it is to fight with your mobile application. FIX IT PLEASE
Glad Privia created this!. This is a really convenient way to access everything Privia. I can access my patient portal, schedule an appointment or send my physician a question. Very helpful!
Not user friendly. We have had challenges on multiple occasions with this app. From within the app on our phone it will tell us we need to download the app. On our desktop, we couldn’t get our messages without calling tech support. We have other doctors that use different, much more user friendly apps. I hope the app is improved or that this one is dropped for a better app that works across devices.
Depressing that this app even exists. Even if it did serve a useful purpose (it doesn’t), it is still the most infuriating experience ever produced by a major healthcare company in the year 2022. Want to view your health in the app? Sorry, you’ll have to open a web browser from the app, and whether or not it loads correctly is a coin toss. Then, while in the browser, if you try to view certain things, you’re told to go to the app. WHAT IS THE POINT IN THIS NONSENSE. Fire the iOS team and get a new one.
After new update. So apparently they updated the app two weeks ago, and now I can no longer message my dr. This is seriously frustrating. Once I select my provider, i create the msg and hit send. There is no record of the message I sent. Also, if I just click on the message button and try and select my dr, my provider doesn’t show in the list to select. I get better use out of snail mail than this app.
Virtual Visit. Virtual visit with my primary care doctor went well without a hitch. Virtual Visit function worked as advertised. Can’t comment on any of the other functions of the app.
I hate this app, myPrivia and AthenaHealth. * dead links * message us, then when I log in to use Messages it shows “you are not authorized …” even though I’m able to see all other PHI * was able to get to Messages, typed one up, hit send, got “Oops that page cannot be found” and no way to check any sent messages to see if it was sent! * can’t find any way to import lab data in to the Health app * won’t let me change my password * I’m using the iOS app and get the following error message “ We are sorry you are receiving this error. To resolve the issue, please: Download our mobile app in the Apple Store …
Does not work. This app did work at one point but now it doesn’t. We are not using it that often, but when we need it I expect it to work. We update everything regularly as well. Had to reinstall recently as it said the app was down for maintenance. After reinstall, I cannot log in with the new security features as it gives me an error. Seems like it cannot perform basic functions.
Great App. Love being able schedule and meet with my doctor virtually through app. Has really helped to make it easy to see my doctor when my schedule makes it tough to get to his office in person
Nearly useless. Why have a health app, when NO USEFUL information is ever uploaded to it? No test results, no medication lists, messages are answered days later, says i have no upcoming appointments when i do. I click on one thing and it makes me log into the web page not on the app, then tells me to download the app for that information. Its a circle that gets you nowhere.
The app doesn’t work. I never write reviews but I had to about this app. It’s terrible. Literally doesn’t work, at all. Error after error, and you probably won’t be able to sign in. Considering it’s a medical app, you’d think it’s purpose would be to help alleviate stress for patients. Nope, it serves to increase both stress and anxiety. I’m attempted to find a new doctors office that’s smart enough to use a better service. I guess the developers of this app skipped “how to debug” day.
Won’t let me log in. Useless.. The online website version doesn’t give me access to new emails from my doctor. I wish I could use the app because maybe I could see all of my information and messages, but it keeps telling me my log in information is incorrect (it is not). In fact, the whole Privia interface should be rebuilt from scratch.
Worst experience. I wanted to view lab results, upon opening email it asked to setup account and I did. And when I downloaded the app, it asked to login for tab click, menu click every screen. Finally app does not even have the lab results to show. Go back to Home Screen and asks login again, this time logged in the browser and did not return back to app. I wish there was 0 stars.
I can’t send messages. Useless at the moment because I can’t send messages because the app won’t allow me to select a provider which is required in order for a message to be sent. Putting the providers name manually in the subject isn’t good enough. So I’m stuck in phone tag/hold music/messages hell trying to get an Rx refill instead of using the “convenient app” my doctors office keeps promoting as an alternative. It would be convenient if it actually worked.
Garbage. Forced to download for a virtual visit. Check in was glitchy & took forever, wouldn’t recognize my insurance company (UHC is biggest in country), forced payment of copay I didn’t owe, kept rejecting cc for no reason. Then visit happens & I disconnect and close iPad. Later I discovered app was recording and had been since appointment. Could not stop it until I uninstalled app. That is one unnerving glitch. Moreover, why was my confidential medical appointment being recorded at all?!
Attention Developers. App is broken.. I made a appointment today for May 11th and I saw that the appointment changed to be for Monday the 15th and then I called the office to confirm I had a appointment today and we rescheduled it for tomorrow. Looking at the appointment confirmation/information email or text messages it says again for May 19th. It pushes my appointment forward by a couple of days. This seems to be a backend issue. Please Developers the api that is connecting to your customers portals is messed up to the point of even Doctor offices cannot manually change the appointment date to be today. You have a integration issue that is completely messed up. If you would like to contact me about my experience I can be available.
I can see. I can see the potential of this app, but haven’t been able to quite figure it out, largely due to not having the option to login with Touch ID, and by the time I figure out my password I don’t feel like exploring the app anymore.
Horrible app. This app is “the worst!” I can’t even get messages to go from unread to read. IF I try to pay a bill…it sends me to a web page - what?! No Way! I can pay those electronically already. 10 minutes by the time I got they to someone who finally said, “I’ll have someone get back to you.” Of course, no return from them.
Reluctant user. This is an awful web experience. It is slow. It often tells you to download the app after you had done so long ago. The phone support team might as well not exist. They may know what doing but you can’t talk to them because they “are experiencing a larger than usual number of calls”. Constantly.
App and site are horrible. App takes you to site. Site tells you an error and to go to app. App should allow you to do everything. All you can do is pay (of course, they need that money) and send/read messages. Anything else requires you to go to the website. Go to the website and get redirected to app if you want to do messages. Just make the app functional for ALL things. Take a page from MyChart!!!
My Privia. My virtual bust worked flawlessly. However, when I needed to upload some labs that were not sent by the lab to my Dr, the app became a pain. It was not easily apparent how to accomplish this. I phoned my Drs office and the person on the other end couldn’t figure it out either. We just had to settle for an unsecured email. I’m sure there is a way to do this but this particular aspect isn’t user friendly.
Good visit with my doctor. I had a good visit with my doc. They had downloaded all my blood sugar data from my meter and we discussed how it’s been going and I asked questions and got answers. She then requested labs from the lab. Same as in person, except for checking vitals.
It’s not EPIC. I just moved here from a place where my patient portals were managed by EPIC. The user experience was much more robust than what I’m seeing on Athena / myPrivia. For example, when an appointment is scheduled I was able to add it to my calendar with info about who I’m seeing, the time and location, check in directions, and any other issues such as parking. myPrivia does show the time of the appointment but nothing else. I was also able to get my after visit summaries and lab results right in the app. I didn’t need to go find it on the web version which is not mobile friendly at all. There is much room for improvement on this app. I hope updates will make the UI better.
Does not work on iPhone. I have never gotten this app to work properly on my iPhone. While trying to log in it just spins and spins and never gets me properly logged in. I do not have this problem with any other patient portals and as a family of six with several health issues, we have many. Please fix!!!!
A practice for my whole family. I see a Privia doctor. My wife sees a Privia doctor. And our newest addition to our family, our son, will too! It’s comforting to have a practice oriented around my whole family.
Virtual Visit. I really liked the Virtual Visit. I did not have to take time off from work, was able to talk with my Doctor. Would definitely do again. 1Morris
Very Clunky Useless User Interface. Very very confusing what Privia is and what AthenaHealth is and why do I need both with two logins? I’m just trying to get back to important information from my last appointment with my doctor. I start Keith Privia, it sends me to athenahealth and yet another login, and when I go to messages, viola… it sends me back to Privia to another login. No access to the important information I need, and a huge runaround and friggin waste of time.
Worst !. I can’t even see any of my information on the app because I have to log-in again and it opens safari. On safari, it directs me to the app. I can’t see my messages, test results or nothing. My office is always busy so I can never get through. Way to ruin the app and the website! Might have switch to an office that doesn’t use privia
No attachments. It’s odd how limited this app is compared to the website. My main use is for the app is corresponding with my pediatrician’s office but for some odd reason you can’t attach picture in the app. Also when attempting to schedule virtual-visits via via get care now button you can’t hit back while filling out the info or it will lock up.
Worst app!. This app is annoying and so frustrating to use. I went to my doctor’s appointment today and I got a message saying that I can view the summary of my visit. I clicked the link, and went directly to the website. I logged in and it was saying error that I needed to download the app, (since I already have the app, I just opened it) and I tried to logged in and it went back to the website. It’s so frustrating, fix your app!!! It’s so inconvenient!
Worst apps ever. This is one of the worst apps I have ever used. You login and can’t see much but maybe a payment needed. If you want to see test results or after visit notes, you have to login to the main site, which doesn’t work most of the time. You need to get you act together like MyChart has, so easy to use and keep up with you health.
App only exists to direct you to website. No health information is accessible here. It just redirects to the website. Oddly, much of this information is also not accessible on the website, and simply gives error messages telling you to look in the app. Unfortunately, as already stated, you can’t see it in the app. Stop building pointless apps. Just tell people to bookmark your site.
Poor app testing. When trying to book an appointment you have to go through a series of selections. If there are too many choices the OK button is hidden behind the lower menu and it will not allow you to scroll down. This makes it impossible to get past that selection to book an appointment with the app. This is just lazy app development.
Needs HealthApp Integration. Unfortunately this app doesn’t do much. To get to most of your info, you have to log in every time, and then it just takes you to their website. At that point its hardly an app, but just a bookmark to their out of date website. If it had mychart style integration with the health app, this could be a great tool to pull up your health data and results easily and securely.
Clunky. This is one of the most antiquated and clunky apps I’ve ever used . I’m actually considering leaving my primary care provider because they require communication using this app. There is no cohesion within the app. Why do I have to login “again” within the app to get to certain features? Start from scratch on this app and re-build so that things flow better. It seems as though someone has tried to tie two separate apps together into one.
