Does what it should!. It looks like most reviews on here are for the initial version, which has been updated a few times now. I just got my fofo in the summer fabfitfun box and downloaded and used the app. When connecting my device I noticed there wasn’t a way to refresh the app to look for it after I had tuned on the fofo, but if you go back a screen and hit connect again (after turning on discover mode on the device), it connected almost immediately. Same thing happened when I went to analyze my skin, but I knew to expect it this time! Tl;dr: Yes, the app has a few *minor* bugs but it’s a beta version and they’re easy to navigate around. The app and device both do what they’re supposed to do!

Absolutely Terrible App, Will Drive You Crazy!. Update: I’ve given up and just stopped using my FOREO UFO device. It’s just not worth the hassle. Of course that means I’ve stopped buying the masks as well. I received a generic response from the developer saying that they’re implementing feedback, but it’s too late. FOREO does not seem to be taking the app feedback seriously and will simply lose customers as a result: — It’s a shame because the products are great, but FOREO needs to get their money back from whoever they paid to build this crappy app. A few issues: - The barcode scanner is hard to use, really annoying to have to scan a barcode every time I want to use the device. Sometimes takes multiple tries. - The “soothing voice” and awful fake spa music cannot be turned off, and will literally drive you crazy if you use the device morning and night. - The app cannot be used in the background, so if you switch to another app the cycle stops. Essentially you are forced to do nothing but listen to a fake soothing voice and awful music for the entire cycle. Again, this will drive you crazy. I’m on the brink of just throwing the device away because it’s such a frustrating experience. FOREO, please fix this, it’s absolutely terrible. Ditch the soothing voice and music, build a proper app that actually works, and just keep it simple.

All my saved products are gone. I have the Bear, Luna and UFO which were saved as my devices. The app was doing great until last night. Last night, I went into the Foreo app and I had to sign in again and when I did, all my devices are gone. When I tried to add them back, it says they’re already registered to “someone” and I can’t add it unless it is de registered. What the heck? These are not cheap products! How do I get this fixed?

Love the device. Hate the app. Please allow us to remove old devices from our list without having to connect to the device first. This is an easy fix from a coding perspective. It makes no sense that you have to connect to the device to remove it from the list of devices in the app. If people want to remove a device it’s probably because they don’t have it anymore. Also the find my device feature is essentially useless as it also requires you to connect to the device first by pressing and holding the button on the device and the device turns off pretty quickly after not using it. So if you don’t know where the device is chances are it’s off so it’s not going to connect. This is harder to fix so you should just remove this option. Like I said above I love the device but the app was obviously designed by someone who has no idea what they are doing. Fix it.

Obsessed. I recently got both the UFO and the Fofo and I am loving both of them! I really enjoy being able to sync them with this app- which is super quick and easy- and be able to control them from my phone. It’s so innovative and really just fun! For the UFO, I like to use the app to run the device through whichever sequence pairs with the mask I’ve chosen for that time, and then when it’s finished, I pour the leftover product back onto the mask and use the controls in my phone to run it through again, this time only using the heat and the blue light (I’m acne prone). It’s a game changer for sure!! As for the Fofo, I love how the app will customize your pulsation pressure based on your skin moisture levels- I am dry on my cheeks so the pulsation are softer, and oily on my forehead so it goes a bit stronger up there. It’s genius! A must have.

DO NOT BUY!. I normally read countless reviews but I saw what highly respected department stores were carrying this device so I foolishly purchased it. Return policy is laughable because it has to be unopened. How on earth do you know if it works without opening it?? Oh course they know this and this is their escape from standing behind the brand. This app does not work at all and is way too frustrating to continue to struggle with. Please note that I have a high end iPhone so it’s not on my side. I wish I had never got sucked into this trap. I am going to pursue this issue with every consumer board advocate out there. May never get my money back but I hope I save someone else from falling in this pit of unscrupulous business practices.

Gimmick. So the FOREO is cool, however, skin analysis is based mainly on the information provided in the profile set-up questionnaire. The only element that changes NOT based on information provided is moisture levels; e.g., the sensors pick up that your skin is more moist AFTER getting out of the shower. My sister and I tested this. If you tell the app you’re 36, it will tell you that your skin age is 36- if you tell the app your age is 22, the analyser will tell you that your skin age is 22. The buzzing and super gentle and hygienic cleansing device is great. It’s nice to have a built in timer so your face gets cleansed evenly. A reminder to moisturize is also good. Ultimately the device doesn’t actually do what it claims to do, and is not worth the cost.

Disappointed in app. I read reviews before using my FOREO that I got in my fab fit fun box. Not good reviews but wanted to try it anyway. Login was fine for me, unlike some others. I don’t really buy into the whole “scanning” of your skin. Placing the sensors on my skin really can’t tell you anything, not to mention I have to move them around a lot to get it to read. The actually cleaning feels alright, not very exfoliating but it feels okay. My biggest issue is that my app said to cleanse and had a picture of the face areas to clean but didn’t prompt for what area I should be doing. Nothing changed on the app. So I just did my right cheek and then it vibrates and I assumed I should do the left. The pulsating was kind of fast also, I don’t think I finished my cheek in enough time to thoroughly get it before I was “supposed” to move on. So I just did what I wanted and let it beep while I did it. I wish it were a little more flexible like for the side of my nose and stuff? But not an impossible thing to get over. I would not recommend buying it though because it’s just not worth it. You can buy cheaper and better working products at the store or online. This is just overhyped because it’s in fab fit fun. They really should have fixed the issues before releasing it. Big mistake. It could have been a hit.

You can do better! You need to do more!. To be fair the product itself works pretty well. However, I wish we can soon build our customized routines on the app, instead of using the pre-settled mode for each type of masks. For the current available masks (day & night), there is only red and green light used in the routine, and since the others are still on their way, I can’t even test if the blue light works or not. It would also help if in the count down page the app can give us some information about the routine, for example “heated up to 45C with ultrasonic and red light, to help your skin absorb products.” Also it is troublesome for me to use the app every time I want to use the device. I use them every morning and evening but the device is default to day mask routine. (Seriously, use a touchscreen phone after taking a shower or washing my face with wet fingers is so hard!) I wonder if I can set a default sequence so that I can use the app only when I need to adjust it (instead of every morning and evening!) I absolutely love Foreo and backed the kickstarter project right after I got the email. The device itself works so well by itself, so I expect the app to be just as good. Hope this review can help you guys to improve it.

Updates can make the app effortless and enjoyable. I just picked up the UFO this afternoon. After downloading the app, I went for the initial run with the mask that was included in the box. Get rid of the scanning of the barcode. There is a wheel with the different masks that are available for us to choose the mask that we want to use. Allow the user to just push the button that relates to the mask. Done. Simple. Also, as a male who takes care of his skin to the extent that I buy premium skin care and use good tools that make my skin care more effective (micro-needling, sonic currents, microdermabrasion) when setting up my profile, please ask if male or female and then have the image match the gender.

I’ve been using my foreo fofo for about 2months now - overall I like the feel of it & I do think it has significantly helped to soften my skin & my pores have gotten smaller :) When I first started using my fofo I didn’t notice too much of a difference - however that being said a lot of us want to see instant results, which in most cases isn’t feasible. So for anyone out there skeptical, in my experience we have to be a little more patient, as annoying as it can be, & the results will follow. My *only* complaint would be the app for sure - at first (before the recent update) the app was super simple, not much to it. Not the most intriguing app, however it worked. After the update I was excited to see improvements etc. But for the first few days after the new update, the app would immediately crash every time I tried opening it :( Finally today, the app stopped crashing - BUT then when I went on to connect my phone to my fofo, it said “Seems you haven’t added any FOREO devices.” My account however was still logged in, so I’m just not quite sure how my (once connected) fofo is no longer appearing in my devices .. just pretty disappointed, because now my skin history & routine info is gone & I’ll have to start from the beginning again. ~BUT~ other than the app I really have no complaints with my foreo fofo, leaves my skin feeling softer than it has in a long time !!! :)))

Returning the same day I got this garbage device. Do not purchase this! The app doesn’t work and you need it to use the device at all. I’ve honestly never seen a company shoot themselves in the foot like this and I would not have purchased if I knew this about the app first. I will never ever ever EVER buy another Foreo product again. It’s just created a lot of hassle and I will not even be able to wash my face with it once. Tried to register after jumping through 100 hoops on the app and it says ‘Not able to register this $200 device.’ Ok I added the $200 bit, but it is a $200 joke. Foreo whoever set this up to need an app should be fired. Anyway, off to return this piece of trash. Thanks got wasting my time.

Poor “analysis” and needs work. I got the Fofo in my FabFitFun box and I’m very glad I did not buy this thing at full price. While it is a good idea IN THEORY, the execution leaves much to be desired. The diagnosis of my face changes from test to test (tested twice, immediately back to back and got scores that were 17 points apart), which shows that either scores mean nothing or the sensors are just a gimmick. Either way, this is totally worthless. The app should allow you to set your own routine. 10 seconds with a light vibration (that I cannot change) isn’t enough to clean my cheek to my chin. And it doesn’t even allow time to get your chin! So you’ve got an inadequate “routine” that you cannot change based on unreliable results, and the app doesn’t even explain the scores, additional suggestions, nothing. (Side note: The unit itself doesn’t really seem to clean my skin. My face wash doesn’t even foam up when using it. I’m going back to my Clarisonic.)

This app is comically bad. At first it was fine. Nothing to write home about. A few weeks into using my Foreo Bear, the app suddenly switched the language to Portuguese. Before I get the customer service rep’s response—my phone’s settings are in English and have always been in English. If multiple people are having the same problem it is probably due to the app, not the phone’s settings. I’ve tried uninstalling the app, restarting my phone, and reinstalling the app—the language issue persists. I love foreo devices and I really wish they could get their software to work as well as their hardware. Especially when they expect the two to work in tandem. Update: It’s still bad. Now I can’t operate the device without the app…well, at least it’s in English.

It is a joke. So I had a prior FOREO Luna (original one) and worked great and lasted me 3 yrs then I lost it and bought the Luna 3 and after charging it for one night it would not turn on so I returned it and got another one and again it would not turn on after charging it. So I wised up and read the small print which said I need to download an app to turn on the device….unusual but I did. The app wanted my email and proof of purchase and where I bought it from (???) before I could register it after registering the app needed to locate my device before I could turn it on. But the app could not locate my device even after charging. I notice that there is a help icon I read it…no help there….there is a ‘chat with us’ icon and they answered very fast but gave me a long (5 steps) list of instructions including turning off my phone and restarting my phone and delegating the cache de-registering my device and registering it again etc…..ALL this so I can TURN ON A DEVICE YO WASH MY FACE!!! Really! Only buy if u want to be frustrated and have spam emails. RETURNING IT AND NEVER BUYING FOREO LUNA

Extensive Unresolved App Glitch!. Unable to obtain my personal routine. The app freezes up after sensor reads right check. I first came across this issue several months ago and just assumed the issue has already been addressed and a team was already actively debugging the app and would see an update being rolled out shortly.... Several months later, same issue! Others have posted on the same issue, which verifies to me it is not an isolated malfunction of my devise. The most disconcerting to me is the complete lack of any acknowledgment, feedback or follow up from the FOREO team regarding this major issue. The main premise of your product is the interactive aspect providing a personalized cleansing routine to each individual. Why is this issue not being acknowledged or addressed to your customers? The app is 50% of product you are advertising and selling. Without the app and the ability to complete a successful skin analyze this product does not provide a personalized cleansing routine, which looses all its lure in my opinion. This function was the selling point for me! Would someone please shed some light on this issue? Is the issue being addressed? If so, would someone kindly provide an expected time?

Easy to use and really cool!. I just downloaded the app and used it very easily to analyze my skin two different times. I tried it the first time right after I washed me face and it said my skin’s age was one year older than I am and dry. I had only washed my face with a clarifying cleanser meant for acne, which I don’t use often. I did not use any moisturizer or toner. Then I put my rose water toner on and used my very hydrating night moisturizer. I then analyzed my face for a second time and received a much better report. My skin was balanced and my skin’s age was my actual age. I normally have oily skin and very little acne only around my cycle. I’m 36 years old and I’m very pleased with the Luna Fofo and the app! I did not encounter a single bug during my efforts and my face feels freakin amazing!!!

Such a COOL Idea and Product!. I receive my FoFo in my fabfitfun box. I’ve been so excited about it for weeks. I downloaded the app and tried it for the first time. I really love it! My skin feels cleaner and I LOVE interactive products. I think it would be so cool to add a “skin diary” section to the app that would chart the skin analysis results through the month. It would also be cool if you could track your exercise and water in-take through the app or connect the app to MyFitnessPal to pull the data from there, then the diary could pull the data into a chart to compare against your skin’s health. Then you could see how your actions are improving your skin! One more idea- if the app had a section for you to scan/enter the type of skincare products that are being used at that time so users can compare their skin health to their products. Actually, I have another idea- For female users, it would be cool to be able to note that you are on your menstrual cycle. It could help users track patterns in their skin health to see when they need to slow down on the moisturizer or prepare for oil overload and acne. Just thinking of ways I would use the app. I would like to see more options within the app that I could apply to my life. Over all- five stars. It’s innovative and I’m loving it!

What I Expected. I want to start off by saying, the sensors on the FoFo are quite gimmicky. Do I believe they work? No way! FOREO didn’t even try to make the product seem like it actually “analyzes” your face... You give the app all the information it needs before you ever even touch the pressure-activated sensors to your face. Besides this annoying fact, the face-wash portion of the app works just as I believe it was intended to. It turns the device on and pauses in between sections. The reason I gave it three stars is because there isn’t anyway to adjust the length or strength of the vibration. It was too short of a time for my cheeks and I didn’t like that it pulsed more around my nose than it did on my forehead. I hope this is something they will add-in as they work out the kinks of the app. Also, the warranty registration portion of the app isn’t working for me... seems to have trouble understanding that my device is already connected. If I try to hold the power button for 3 seconds, it switches to the device page and gives me the option to “start” or “analyse.” Once I click back to the warranty tab, it tells me I need to connect my device.

App Isn’t Syncing Anymore. I signed up for FabFitfun just to receive this product and while I do love the product itself, the app only worked for the first couple of weeks. It will not let me analyze my skin, which is recommended every 2 weeks by the app and is kept track of on the update. When I click on analyze, it jumps into my right cheek before I even have it on my face and then stops - doesn’t let me move on to the other 3 zones of my face. So now I am stuck with a skin routine that is 60+ days old. Furthermore, the product claims to be completely waterproof - says you can even use it in the shower, but after about a month mine stopped working. I assumed it was the batteries and procrastinated getting new ones because I didn’t have a tool small enough to open the base. When I finally did, however, it looked like water had gotten in it and the battery had leaked brown ooze everywhere. The new batteries have it running like new but my skin routine still won’t update so I’d honestly rather just turn the thing on and let it run instead of using the app.

Terrible App and Website. The app is terrible. No instructions in the app itself. Restarts itself all the time if you toggle yo another app which shuts down the device. For UFO it starts the device in a treatment mode upon turning it on and it just continues unless i pretend to start another treatment then cancel. 2 devices in and UFO won’t cool past 30 degrees. And before Foreo says reinstall app etc etc, I did. It’s still terrible. $250 device and $2 app to make it work. Also your website is just as bad. Sends you in circles between creat account and register device using serial number scratch card that was not in box. This device is simple so idk why you make app and website so overly complicated

Great- and not so great. HELP!. I got this as a gift from a friend who had used it before and said it was awesome. And honestly, I agree! The brush softly exfoliates my skin and has actually really cleared up my acne. It’s also really portable and a lot easier to clean than an actual brush and you don’t have to replace the head. Butttttt... I don’t understand how to start it when connected to the app. I used it for about two months before connecting to the app and never had a problem; but now that I connected it to the app, I can’t seem to get it to turn on. So absolutely GREAT product, Okay app.

Least enjoyable experience.... ...is the app itself. I bought both the UFO 2 and LUNA 3 along with mask sets. And the first time I used the UFO with the app it was AWESOME. It does create a spa-like treatment. Now a week into it, I’m realizing the only thing that’s keeping the UFO from being the all-encompassing PERFECT tool for your skin regiment is the app that it’s partnered with. I actually don’t think it’s necessary to scan the masks being that they’re all owned by FOREO and the sequence to each kind of mask should just be saved by default without having me to scan them. And let’s say you want to keep the “scanning” element, there’s absolutely no need to scan a set each individual time you use a mask. This app should just have the mask library in general AND the possibility of creating/saving custom skin sequences that an individual can make in addition to the library. It’s really weird and unsterile to continuously touch your phone while using your Foreo product. I hate that I have to put one finger on my phone customizing a sequence in real time (in the settings /cog symbol) while using the UFO. Please fix this, I have to convince myself to use this app when all I want to do is just use the default UFO setting sans app.

Disappointed. I received the FOREO Luna Fofo in my FabFitFun box. I was excited about this product, partially because of the app. While I do like the Fofo, I do not like the app. It is confusing, doesn’t give clear instructions on what do and when. I did at least sync the Fofo with the app momentarily. I placed the sensors on the various parts of my face as directed, but never got the results/analysis of my face. Instead, I was told to clean my face after tapping start on the app. It did not explain that there would be a series of four vibrations with a moment in between each. I had to infer that each section of the vibration pattern was to be spent on one part of my face. After finishing the cleansing, I still did not see any type of analysis. I am honestly surprised FOREO did not get this fixed before the FabFitFun boxes went out. Part of the “sell” with this product was that it came with the app to analyze your skin. I feel like FOREO over-promised and under-delivered. If I were FabFitFun, I would be upset with FOREO and would think twice before including another FOREO products in any future boxes.

Latest Update Fixed App Crashing Problem. So I updated to the most recent version after a week of experiencing only crashes from the app. At first, the app did get crashed again on me so I reinstalled it together with restarting the phone(power off and then on) and now it works wonderfully. I love the new layout so much and so thankful to be able to use my UFO again to try out these new exclusive masks besides the Day and Night ones. I am so amazed at how the customer service and app development teams are so quick at addressing my problem and be able to fix it without dragging the incident on and on. I have been with Foreo for so long and can’t wait what the company has to offer more in the future!

SO SLOW! Barely got my device registered. The app is horrible and I’m not exaggerating. It’s slow to the point where I thought I needed to troubleshoot my phone connectivity. I should have known when even downloading the app was a pain. So you can’t avoid using this app if you want to register your device, but outside of that I wouldn’t recommend it. EDIT TO RESPOND TO DEVELOPER: Unbelievable that you would respond that my WiFi needs to be stronger. Fun fact, due to my job, I actually have exceptionally strong WiFi in my home. I downloaded the app 2 days ago. Are you saying you did a full update in the past two days that addressed the bugginess, slowness, and broken pathways? Nice placing blame on your customer instead of going back to the drawing board. All of these reviews can’t be wrong, Nick.

Poor connection. The app does not work that well and it definitely needs some updates soon. I love the fofo it’s self BUT the app does not work well with it. I click cleanse and my fofo doesn’t turn on, when I click the register for warranty button it doesn’t do anything. I got the product bc I loved how it scans your face, but when you first sign into your app it asks you what kind of skin you have and how old you are, like isn’t that what the sensors are supposed to tell me? So then when I did the sensors I got the same answers as the quiz I took so I feel like it just used my answers and didn’t actually do anything. Also, it is advertised to give you custom face care routines and it definitely does not. There need to be some major updates to this app

Ehh. I was super excited when I found out I was getting one of the Fofo devices in my FFF box. I’ve never had a brush or additional device to help me wash my face so I was ready to give this a shot. With that being said the app doesn’t contribute much of anything to the experience. It saved my skin profile but it doesn’t really pick up my device. It says it’s synced via Bluetooth but when I hit “Cleanse” and “Start” in the app nothing happens. My device won’t even vibrate. I end up turning it off and having to do the whole thing over again. I basically just leave the app alone and just use the device on its own. Which defeats the purpose of there even being an app. Hopefully the devs of this app are paying attention to the reviews. Otherwise this whole thing is just pointless.

Fix the app. (five stars for the Product and how well it cleans, my star rating for the app is -5) When I first got this I could connect to my phone with no problem, several updates later and it takes forever to try to update, I’ve given up on trying to connect to the app. Also I wish it wouldn’t put my chin in the same cleaning “scan” as my cheeks, they are different areas and need to be treated as so. I also liked how it originally said the skin age in years instead of the -2years that it does now, (- 2 years from which age ?). I also wish I could see my data and profile with out having to be connected to the device all the time. There’s a profile tab for a reason why not store our data there so I can look at it as I please. As for the product itself I really enjoy it, and would like it better if the app wasn’t so difficult.

App worked well. I was hesitate to download the app based on the reviews I read but I did since I already had the device and honestly, couldn’t figure out how to work it. The user guide was microscopic print so I couldn’t read it and there was little to no info on the website. I downloaded it and set up an account. Seems to work well. Took about a full minute to connect the device but that was all. Analyzed my face and provided results. I’m not sure how accurate but it will be fun to try again and see what results I get. I think they will improve as time goes on. Remember the app is only a few days old.

They want to sell your data. Let me use my device without your stupid app that’s just going to steal my info and sell it. This is so dumb. Why would I want an app to control a device to WASH MY FACE. If it was an optional feature that people could use if they wanted then that’s fine but the device is useless without it. The old versions were so much better and I really hope people stop buying this product until they change their ways. Before this ridiculous app it was an amazing product. Please listen to your customers who are telling you that you need to change this. Give people the option to use a button to turn it on. Have the app be an optional addition. I feel scammed quite honestly.

Is like downloading one of those old pirate software websites as an app. The app does what is supposed to do, sure, but not before exploiting every single opportunity to spam you with advertising. And is apparently useless if you are that person who don’t keep receipts of purchases. I’m not even logged in and I got 2 advertisements, one of them full screen with a timer. Then is all more, inspired by every single monetization scheme on the planet even if it doesn’t make sense. They keep banners with sale deadlines, advertisement first page, advertisement in between functionality, I’m afraid of even giving this app push notification access. I get it, the company needs to make money, perhaps they are struggling. But this is NOT the way. Fire your marketing and product people and focus on delivering delightful experiences. Feel free to sell things on the app, but make that a secondary thing. I want an app I can use to have a smart face cleaner, period.

Good concept but app needs work. This app has definitely improved since the first iteration, but it still has a ways to go. There’s not much to interact with in the app and there’s no way to get more information about the ratings FOREO is giving you. I would like to know what my “skin score” means and more about my skin type. In the first version of the app, it would give suggestions based on your skin type, such as “use two different moisturizers for combination skin”. I wish they would bring that feature back. It was also nice how you could activate the Luna Fofo within the app. I feel like now I have to turn my Luna Fofo off then back on again when it’s connected to the app to cleanse. Overall, the app looks nicer but it was more functional in the first version.

Great potential. I think the app and the premise of the product is great! The actual device works so well and I have already noticed a difference in my skin after 3 days. I wish there was a way to see the history of my skin and track my improvements. I also wish you can see your skin profile without having to have the FOREO on. I also think it would be great if once you have your skin profile you can access tips on how to treat your specific skin type (what products to use, routine to follow). I would also like to know what the sensors are sensing and how they come up with the skin age so you can specifically target problem areas. I think the potential of the app is there, but I think there are so many opportunities to improve. Love the product and am looking forward to (hopefully) a lot more enhancements on the app!

Updated and Wonderful. I got my UFO this month (12/20) and I immediately wanted to try it. So I downloaded the app (older version) and the experience was disappointing - it was hard to navigate and not very intuitive. I even had to ask support how to add a new mask routine to my UFO. I’m pleased with the updated app and the changes made. No more scanning of barcodes (yay). It is much more easier to navigate, choose a mask routine and even add new devices. Great job on the update. I am still exploring but I believe the smart positioning of routines went away and I liked that. It allowed me to use my device without my phone being near by. But for all the other wonderful updates I think I can live without it.

Device stopped working. The first week or so after I got mine it was working great. But then it stopped working by pressing and holding the button so I would have to go through the app everyday, reconnect the device, and hit the start button on my phone (which was really just a drag but I still continued to use it). About a month later, with the recent app update, they removed the start button from the app completely. So now I just can’t turn the device on at all. I tried unscrewing the bottom (I was hoping to find a restart button but there isn’t one) replaced the batteries, still nothing. I am incredibly frustrated because this was not a cheap product. Before it broke though I absolutely loved it and my skin looked incredible.

Great Product!. I actually really enjoy this product. Im not much for writing reviews on apps, but I feel this app is getting alot of negative reviews and I dont think it is fair. First of all the app is in its BETA stage and therefore isnt going to be perfect and to expect it to be is kind of silly. Also, Im a little skeptical about a two tiny sensors being able to perfectly read my skin type and you probably should be too. That being said, the product cleanses my face extraordinarily well. I have very sensitive skin and it does not irritate my face at all. In fact it has helped to clear up the bumpiness and redness in my skin. I have never had any issuss with it connecting to my phone and enjoy the app because I feel like it takes me through a super easy cleaning routine. All you have to do is follow along in the same order as the face on your screen and move to a different area each time the vibrating stops. So, in conclusion, I think we all know our skin type much better then a little gadget does and probably ever will. However, the app takes your through an easy cleansing routine and the Fofo cleaner is super gentle and works to help make your skin smooth and soft!! Enjoy!!

Gimmick, not worth it. I so want to return this. First -the app does not work. It will not recognize the luna3, Bluetooth is on etc, all troubleshooting done, still won’t find device- so app technology is no good. Second, instructions are sketchy and minimal probably because it is such a gimmick. My fault for not checking better but it was advertised as a better product than the Clarisonic which has gone out of business. Since mine died, I used the coupon to get the luna3. So since the FOREO marketing used Clairsonic I assumed same technique; no so. I don’t even understand what the thing does. So thought I’d use it and my skin would tell me what it does but nay-nay; no difference but maybe I’m using it incorrectly, but who knows since the instructions are so minimal and sketchy, and I can’t get the app to talk to the unit. Basically junk.

Has potential, but greatly needs improvement.. I received the Fofo as a Christmas gift. I don’t have an obvious “skin type,” so I figured the Fofo would be neutral option and was intrigued by the sensor feature. So far, I’ve been impressed with the product itself and its ability to sense which parts of my face require more time and vibrations. Some reviewers have disliked the fact that some areas receive more or less time or vibrations - perhaps they believe their skin was misread - but the device is designed to recognize the different needs of your skin. While I’m pleased with the Fofo itself, the FOREO app leaves much to be desired. To start, I find it incredibly annoying that the app can not save my most recent skin profile to be accessed when my Fofo is not corrected. This gripe leads to my second complaint: the skin profile is incredibly vague. What is my skin score measured off of? What do I need to do to improve my skin score? I have no clue. I understand that this app is in its early stages, but these seem to me like easy tweaks that can really make the app something really innovative and helpful. Hopefully the developers will take user feedback into account and give the app a much needed update.

Scammers!!! Don't bother with this device!. I bought a Luna Foreo, three years ago, for about close to $300 and now it's pretty much useless. First off, I think it was already pretty stupid that you're not able to control your Foreo, which you paid for, without needing to register the product. And now, this problem with the app!!! Don't bother chatting with customer service, it's pretty much useless. They give you this five step troubleshooting which absolutely does not solve anything. Now, I'm being told to contact customer service to resolve problems with the app not recognizing my device. I feel like this is their company's ploy to rob people off and force them to get a new product. Scammers!!!

App Needs Work. The FOREO devices are great but the app is not. I didn’t know that you needed to register them on the app before using. The app gives the option to take a picture of the barcode to register but the camera is out of focus every time. I have multiple devices and found this to be the case every time. I double checked my camera lens and it’s not my camera. I like to play music on my phone when I’m doing self care and when I open the app my music will stop playing. Sometimes the app disconnects from my UFO and says I’m out of range when I have my phone in one hand and the device in the other. It’s inconvenient when I’m mid treatment. I like the option to manually change the color of LED light. The app gives you the option of choosing heating or cooling when using the UFO but it doesn’t let you pick the degree of hot or cold, it fluctuates on it’s own. It would be nice to be able to pick the degree you want it on. I really enjoy my devices but I would like to see improvements on the app.

Love Product Hate App. The product is great, I received it in my FabFitFun box and I also happen to be an esthetician. I think things in the app could be more user-friendly. I wanted to go back and just quickly see what my routine had been set up as and it was a hassle to get back to that section. I had to really mess around with things to get back to the page my routine was on and honestly I can’t even remember how to do it anymore, so it will continue to be a guessing game. Please update this app and make it more clear cut, when I hit on my profile I should be able to easily go to my routine...

Update to mandatory barcode scanning is NOT COOL!!. Listen, I appreciate the fact that I’m no longer dealing with the sign-in bug each time I use the app now but I’d take it back for what it’s like now! I’m a very reasonable person and I’ve never once written a bad review until now, honest. I also backed the crowdfunding as soon as I saw it months ago & am loving the mask experience despite the drawbacks, but if I’m going to support you I’d like the support in return. SO: I believe a product with such a hefty price tag needs to give the user the liberty to pick a mask in the app and just use it! No barcode scanning!! I will give you guys time to fix the issue (which wasn’t originally an issue, you had the freedom to skip the scan), but honestly if this remains an issue I’m going to do anything I can to deter others from buying the product, including but not limited to scathing reviews wherever I can post them. Released app too soon. This app could have been a game changer in skin care if it wasn’t in beta when the product was launched. I have gotten the fofo to work up to a certain point and then it just repeats itself. Sadly, from reading blogs, etc., I’ve gotten further with it than most users. If I were to continue to follow the instructions on my iPhone, I’d still be washing my face, days later, with the cute little fofo. I haven’t been able to get it any further than to wash my nose! Please update the app if this product has hopes of selling. I can see that FFF was a beta testing group for the product, but feel we have a voice in numbers and I have yet to hear from anyone who has been able to complete the process for which this product was developed. Do not like to see ads for products to use when the app doesn’t get me far enough to see why I would need to buy them. I think the developers should concentrate on a working app before marketing add ons

In The Works. This is a brand new app for a brand new device - it’s not going to be perfect. It is frustrating to have to log in nearly every time I open the app, but once I’m in the app, I have no issues. In order for the app to register the device (after the initial connection the first time), the device needs to be on. I’m not sure why people are complaining about this as it’s pretty standard to have to turn devices on for Bluetooth to work. I am waiting for the customizable options, but as stated on Kickstarter dozens of times, it’s coming soon. They wanted to release the app ASAP so that initial Kickstarters could try it out. I don’t think a fair negative review can really be written for another few weeks when some big, expected updates get released. I can see a lot of potential with this app, and I’m excited for what’s to come!

Useless App. The app is not interactive at all. I was able to get “readings” on my skin easily but then it doesn’t do anything with the info. It gave me a number rating out of 100 but didn’t explain how it got this number, what it means, or how to improve. After it goes through the steps, it does show an example of how you should use this on your face, but after that it’s pointless. The only thing I can find to do in the app is to complete the whole scanning process again. I don’t need to do that if I just completed it. The brush works ok & it does change vibration speeds after you scan your face with it but I don’t need an app to tell me how to use a vibrating object. Good thing I got this in my Fab Fit Fun box, otherwise I’d be mad at myself for buying it.

Seriously who designed this app?. This doesn’t even deserve 1 star. It’s bad enough I have to use an app to start my device, but now you’ve updated the app with so many design elements that I can’t find the button to actually USE the device! What a useless update this is. You’re trying to sell me more products rather than letting me use the one I have and wish I hadn’t bought. No product is worth this hassle. Did no one in the meetings think, “hey maybe we should make it clear how to actually start the device?” If I hadn’t sunk so much money into this one, I’d be trashing it and now I’m stuck with an expensive paper weight cause it won’t work to wash my face, only massages. Guess I’ll use that at least to massage out the wrinkles of amazement at how stupid this redesign is.

So unimpressed. I wasn’t too keen on having to download an app to use my Bear, but am even more annoyed now. You’d think a required app for a $300 device would work, but first it wouldn’t find the device, then I tried later and I was able to pair it but the treatment didn’t work. I kept starting it and it would just sit there, not doing anything, the only option was to stop it. Opened and closed the app, same deal. By the time I finally got it to work the serum had completely dried on my face causing the device to drag as I pulled across my skin, not at all a great user experience for my first time attempting it. I suppose I also expected more treatments if I have to download an app just to use it. There’s just one 2 minute treatment. I may end up returning the Bear and going for a Nuface after all. Having the ability to use the device linked to any app, let alone an app that doesn’t work properly, is feeling more and more like a deal breaker

stupid app. FOREO is letting go its reputation. I was a fan for years but this device+app combo frustrates me so much that I discourage anybody buying it. The device itself doesn’t outdo sheet masks for me so far in terms of instant effect. But this review is about the app- which is a joke. It doesn’t remember the device so you have to “scan” every time. You think you can bear the waiting because it’s the same for some other Bluetooth devices. No. It doesn’t keep your credentials so you have to log in at each use. For that 50% of the chance that you get into the main page before you curse and give up in the middle, the actual program acts like a timer that counts down 90 seconds. This reminds me of the dummy meaningless apps first-year programming students design for their projects. My last hope rests in the other functions that are “coming soon”.

Cannot connect to the app. I’d like to preface that I have read through all 22 other reviews and followed the troubleshooting suggestions from the developers (turning off the device, deleting the app etc. etc. etc.) from these reviews and nothing works. I am stuck on the Bluetooth connection step pressing the power button for 5 seconds and cannot connect to my device. Frustrating that you have to pay extra for the “smart” functionalities but they don’t even work.

Love it. Was a little sceptical purchasing the product but I love it. I’ve purchased the normal sized one (not the mini) and my skin looked clearer after the second use. This will def become a part of my routine. App is pretty cool too - The UFO can be used manually, but I like the app

Awful, frustrating experience. I had the same experience as the other negative reviews for foreo BEAR: Pressed the button for 5 secs, nothing happened. I followed the advice customer support has given to other user in here and it worked . Next, it wouldn’t register the product even though I have all the info and receipts. You can’t use the device without the app, so I was left with this expensive device that I can’t use. Also, no customer support on a weekend 🤦🏻‍♀️ I was expecting better from FOREO

Useless app and poor product service.. As a company that sells devices for such a premium and given their features are so reliant on the app (this inc initial registration) the least they can do is deliver an app that works. FOREO you have an obligation to all your customers to vastly improve the stability and usability of your app. Ignoring this will ruin the brand and your hardware appears to be of high quality but your app lets the entire product down! Please act!

App is useless. Owning a FOREO ufo2 but app doesn’t do justice with the expensive gem. Did someone even try to use the app along with the device before the app was launched ? No Option to use the temperature in Smart Control. Device itself will keep running once turns on . There is no way temperature can be controlled. I wish there was a option to enter a number even though you can save Options for offline but they never seem to work .

Too many ads, not enough basic functionality. This app is hopeless. It took me several tries to register my device - and when I emailed support I got no response to my actual request but they did send me a request for feedback regarding how well they resolved my query. Oh I can tell you I have some feedback! Difficult to register, testing the device using the app didn’t work the first time, the instructions are not good and I still had to fiddle around - and I can assure you I am a tech savvy person. What an absolutely terrible first impression of this product. The app is filled with ads from celebrities with no integrity - they endorse a million beauty products, and you have to scroll past all of that to find the part for functionality of the product. I do not what ads for buying more of your products in an app to use my current product! Truly terrible app. Fire the IT department and whomever designed this thing because they did a very poor job.

UFO2. App works great with UFO2. Doesn’t require mask barcodes any more (less fiddly to set up as brand new user like me, yay). Can choose mask type within app by tapping on mask image. Great upgrades in this app version, one being that once 4 masks of your choice, plus your own custom setting, plus the default Make My Day and the Night mask settings are downloaded to the device, after first use of each mask type you can activate that mask directly from the device without the app or Bluetooth being active/connected. Super happy with that!!! With app disconnected, turn on device then immediately click the button a few more times to see the purple light ‘dial’ click through the mask types corresponding with the mask types (they are saved in the same order shown in the app on the Settings tab - the pic of Foreo with tiny icons representing each mask - so memorise that first). I did find setup/registration a bit confusing, but figured my way through it ok.

Lost connection to Bluetooth. This app is hopeless if you are operating a newer version of iPhone Blue tooth drops connection mid treatment or does not connect at all. Tried to contact customer service who told me to connect to someone else’s phone. I’m not sure that should be the solution?.bought the Luna 3 plus I had high hopes to use the device to not only clean but to do the facial treatments using the app because the Bluetooth fails all I have is a very expensive cleaning brush

App not connecting to my luna3 plus. and I sent several requests for support still no answer from them , the app just tells me to hold power button for 5 sec and if by any chance after 6th attempt it connects, 3 seconds later it tells me connection is lost and do it all over again . It’s so frustrating after 3 days I still am not able to use it.

Disconnection issue. the old app work just fime with my UFO then new updateI was excited as they introduce many new function but then problem is the app keep disconnect my UFO even it is fully charge.( I bough it on Dec 2020) I cannot do any treatment or setting and unable to use the devices for weeks now. App won’t register my devices. The app has been a bit clunky but usable- until I did the update today. Now the three devices I had in my app are gone and won’t reregister. I couldn’t do my usual UFO routine tonight. Please tell me this will be fixed asap.

What a terrible pointless app. I work in data and digital services and I cannot understand beyond a vehicle for collecting data on your users and enabling the registration of a device, what the actual point of this is. As a user I want to use my foreo luna- but guess what you can’t until you register it. I expected there to be some payoff but from what I can tell it’s a pointless grab at data and customer info. What a terrible terrible vehicle for a good product

Terrible. This is a terrible app, I have contacted customer service to try and get help to connect my UFO, they said it’s registered to my account but it won’t show up in the app. I have signed out and deleted the app about 5 times and still nothing. For buying a product worth nearly $400 and the app that tells you how it works but doesn’t work makes it very frustrating. There have been two app updates since and I still can’t see my product.

Just their webpage as an app. The app is just designed to sell you more of their products. The functionality aspect of the app for the products themselves have not been improved at all. The unfortunate thing is that you need to download this to use the products, only to be bombarded by an extension of their webpage, pushing other products onto you, when you just want to be able to use the product you already purchased simply.

Could be better. I’d like to see a ‘history’ function included in the app. It’s all well and good to analyze your skin to customize your routine, but I think it would be beneficial to be able to go back through previous analysis’ to compare and track progress. This would also enable you to track progress against lifestyle factors ie. diet, stress, new products etc to ensure skin stays in optimum health and you could cut out/reduce anything that is obviously having a negative impact on your skins health and increase anything having a positive impact.

Update from 24 Jan removes functionality. I have a Luna 3 Plus. It wasn’t working when I purchased it prior to Christmas 2020, but Foreo encouraged me not to return the item because a software update was being released. I waited, and finally I was able to use and customise settings on the Foreo and the device remained connected to the app. Since the update on 24 Jan 2021, the Foreo is unusable again. Despite the battery being half full, the device wouldn’t start at all in the simple cleanse function after the update. I charged it overnight and then I was able to use the cleanse function again (without the need to connect to the phone. When it comes to connecting via Bluetooth now however, I’m unable to use the treatment function as the Foreo keeps disconnecting. I’m also unable to update the Cleanse settings for the same reason. Once again Foreo’s app has rendered my expensive device useless.

Just awful. Paid so much for this device and the app is the worst app ever!!! full of rubbish adds and just impossible to get working. I work in technology and I know tech better than most and this app and hence the product (as the app is tied directly to the product), is the worst technology I have encountered in the last decade.... what a joke!

Hard to use. Not much function. Cannot connect. 1. Had to log in every single time using it 2. It only has two mode at the moment ( matches with the mask) and frankly they are useless. Nothing like advertised. 3. Had so much trouble connecting my ufo device to the app. When it doesnt connect the ufo is just a brick. I have been a big fan of all Foreo’s products now this one is a massive let down. Save your money guys its not worth the $250

App doesn’t connect properly. To turn on the luna 3 and have it to recognise the app is a arduous and painful process. The iPhone Bluetooth doesn’t even recognise the Luna 3, so connection is very spotty. When I click on the on button, the Luna 3 starts the cleansing mode and the start screen for the massaging doesn’t get activated in app. Go fix the app please. It’s ridiculous to pay 300 bucks and have a badly executed app

UFO won’t sync. Hopeless and frustrating as my UFO will not sync. The app keeps telling me to turn on my Bluetooth, even though it’s on. Can’t register my device as the app does not recognise the serial number. Left two messages. No response whatsoever. Their starting a conversation’ is not available.

Doesn’t connect. Who sells a product like this that has to connect via Bluetooth. I would never have bought this Bear had I known and it’s not cheap!!!!! No matter how many times I try it won’t connect via the app or my own settings. Really really bad

Connected to the app first try. I was prepared for a long night of swearing at technology after reading the app reviews. I was surprised when the app connected first time and I was also able to successfully download the different workout routines (one that focused on neck, the other for mouth/jowels). When you run the routine you follow the mirror image of a lady who guides you where you should stroke the device on your face for the time required. I intend to use the app each day for two months - hoping to see some results then, but too early to tell yet.

Disappointed. Terrible app. Not working with my Luna 3 plus which I spent nearly $400 on it. Had so many issues registering the product as it was complaining not recognizing the product. It also disconnects and drops the connection every few seconds when in the using mode. Contacted customer service and they just told me to update the iOS and reinstall the app which I have done many times. Money is completely wasted when you can’t use the gadget with the app.

Surprisingly, just today I got my new Foreo Luna 3 plus and this error still there. Whats the point of bringing the frustration to customers????????????????? Update: I have got the reply from developer. I have followed the instruction. Deleted the app - update to latest iOS - reinstalled the app again. Now the issue still persists. I cant even connect to the foreo device. It stucks at “press the button for 5 secs”. This getting really really really frustrated. I’m gonna return this device to the seller (David Jones) and show this review to them that the app & device is faulty.

Terrible app undermines expensive product. I have a UFO 2. I can pair it with the app, but no matter which mask I select it always runs the same program, never the one I choose. For $400 I expected a product that worked as advertised, but this is nit what has happened. I can only use masks on one setting, which is 90 seconds with heat and red LED. I prefer the cooling masks but can’t use them!!

Problematic but luckily comes with good support team. I’ve always enjoyed my FOREO devices but with this new updated app I suddenly find myself unable to connect via Bluetooth to adjust my device setting, was not happy! Luckily I had quick response within a day from their support agent who resolved my connection problem. I made contact both through online chat and email, the chat didn’t help but the agent that replied my email was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, so you might want to keep that in mind if ever runs into problems.

Does not work. I could not connect my Foreo to the app, I kept receiving the error message “Oops connection lost, please make sure the device is turned on” so I could not use the microcurrent features of my new Foreo Luna 3 Plus. I have returned the device to where I purchased it, would not recommend at all.

Terrible design. The device itself is quite nice. I don’t buy all the hype about the effects but it’s nice to have a timed massage with heat while applying skin care. The app is freaking terrible. I wish I’d checked the app reviews before buying this device. The guided treatments are from a robotic voice which isn’t relaxing at all. At what this device costs, surely they could afford a human to do the voice over? The overall experience of starting and ending a treatment is very awkward, like interacting with a person who has no social skills and doesn’t know when to stop talking. The how-to information is a PDF that is impossible to read on a normal size phone. Other screens just make no sense. The app looks pretty but feels terrible to use.

Non user friendly. Need to download application to register for first use is very non-friendly. I managed to scan the serial number after few attempts and then it requires to upload the receipt. I uploaded the receipt but it didn’t work so ended up registering under ‘gift’. I would not have purchased this if I knew I had to go through those unnecessary steps.

Doesn’t sync/connect as per other reviews. I have bought mini bear today. Charged, updated my phone, installed the app, deleted the app, reinstalled the app and still won’t connect $329 and it won’t do a thing. Would love to use it but will be return it tomorrow as this is absolutely ridiculous

Unable to open it after last update. It was working fine till last update. 3 weeks since and nothing changed, unable to use my UFO and Luna3, can’t even send complaints

Do not buy a FOREO UFO 2!!. I was so excited to get my UFO 2 device and start masking! Unfortunately, I am unable to do so as my device will not stay connected to the app and cuts out after 3-5 seconds every time I use it. I contacted customer service who advised to make sure the battery was charged (can confirm it was charged) and then delete the app and re-download which I did. The same problem happens and the team has no other suggestions. This is not good enough considering the incredulous cost of this device. Please don’t waste your money until they have fix this issue.

Unable to connect to phone for so many months 🤯. Bought luna 3 plus many months ago, never could connect to my iphone 11 pro max.. after several updates on foreo app until now, STILL couldn’t manage to use the app for my luna plus 3.. so what’s the point on buying this if I couldn’t use any of its function?? Come on Foreo, please fix this problem.. it’s been too long.. and I see I’m not the only one who got this problem. Pretty please fix it asap.. why put the premium price tag if it doesn’t even work properly?? Thanks.

Love it!. Very smart and brilliant piece! Love this! Saved me lots of time than use normal mask or facial in beauty salon. And the skin looks fantastic next morning after I use UFO! Really love it!

The app doesn’t work. After the latest update the app doesn’t work (and why on earth I have to buy a subscription!!!) I tried to use my FOREO bear and the treatment doesn’t start, the app screen freezes. Now it’s useless. It worked perfectly fine yesterday I don’t even want to try to use my FOREO ufo what a waste of money

One of the worst apps I’ve ever used. The device itself is actually really nice to use but the app is terrible. I’ve tried more than 5 times to register the device but it just kept showing there’s an error and I couldn’t see anything wrong. After I shut the app down and open the app again, it showed the device had been registered. I restart the app again and it just somehow connected my device with it. Can’t even adjust the time for cleansing and the strength although the functions should be adjustable. The app is totally a disaster.

Terrible product management. I work on apps and products that have Bluetooth connectivity. I have to say, the product management team behind this app and it’s association with the Luna 3 should take a long hard look at themselves To require a user to connect the device to a phone via Bluetooth in order to unlock it to make it usable is downright user hostile. We couldn’t get it working on one phone after numerous attempts, eventually got it working on a second Enter the second problem. Now our Luna is paired to the wrong phone, with an Apple generated email address. I can’t connect it to the intended phone because it says the device is already registered to another phone. Note this has nothing to do with Bluetooth - this is another user hostile policy that product management has layered on top, to prevent device connectivity I can in no way recommend Bluetooth enabled versions of the products from this manufacturer. Terrible choices that impact customer satisfaction. As someone who works in product management, I can only shake my head

Weeks of app issues. The whole app is in locked Portuguese which I know was a development error instead of providing a Portuguese option but now the app is stuck in the language. I cannot even register my product or change any settings because I brought the product after this app issue occurred. It’s been almost a month of me not being able to use the nice and expensive product I brought with any function other than ‘go’. Been in contact with customer service many times and all I receive is ‘sorry’ and ‘we’ve flagged your issue specifically’ with no resolution in sight. SO FRUSTRATING as the whole product relies on the use of this app.

Great addition to my skincare regime. I’ve used this app a few times now and i’m not sure what the other reviews are talking about. Once it paired with my phone, I plugged in my personal details and have been using it ever since.

Not user friendly. I purchased my FOREO UFO today, and although the product itself is great, the app is very below par. I cannot register my device through the App, and according to Foreo’s website, this is the only way to register the UFO and therefore to activate the warranty. Please fix this glitch / the app!

Love the products but App is useless. I love the Foreo products however the App is essentially useless as needs to be paired every single time with the products, even have to re-pair during a single use so can never be used as advertised. Thankfully I am able to use the products without the App.

Can’t Register Device. Like many others I have been unable to register the device for warranty via the app. I’ve tried downloading the latest version, turning my phone off and back on and still nothing. The chat function is also useless as there’s nobody available to chat to!!!

Can’t set up without proof of purchase. I received a device as a gift but cannot set it up without proof of purchase. I understand this makes sense to prevent theft but the person who gave it to me no longer has the receipt and each time I tried to chat to the help centre it said no one was available.

It worked for me!. Not too sure why others are finding it so hard to use, I actually found it quite easy and I’m not tech savvy at all haaha

Easy to use and navigate. Found it very easy to set up my profile. The app syncs to my device quickly every time and is very intuitive to navigate and use.

Stupid design. I have not expected Luna mini 3 has such a stupid design - that we cannot control when to turn off the device. It keeps vibrating for the amount of time set up on an app, but we do not always use the device for the same amount of time!

Too glitchy. Constantly have to reconnect the device. Cleansing modes are inconsistent. Some times you can’t access the massage treatments. Takes up way too much time for your routine. Extremely disappointed with this app.

Expensive Products shouldn’t need app to work. Purchased expensive Bear but app not working. Foreo support just says ‘we are aware of app issues. You’ll have to wait for the fix before you can use device! This is ridiculous - one should not have to register device on an app just to get to use it. Extremely disappointed! If you know app is faulty then stop making your customers hand tied to it!!!!

App makes it unusable. App will not turn it on. i'm a tech person and thiught this was a premium product. Its one of the worst apps and products i have purchased in a long time. Do NOT waste your money. Complained to sephora and indigo as well. Both places said they are getting quite a few returns on it. My partner likes the non-app version... but this is useless.

Useless. This app doesn’t work on my iPhone 7 Plus. After connecting to Bluetooth and trying to do a skin analysis, the sensors did not work. Not sure if it’s a software (app) or hardware issue (forea). Great concept that is too complicated to figure out!

Accurate Reviee. I usually don’t write reviews but since everyone is trash talking I felt compelled The app worked fine for me- no issues syncing my Luma 3 - provides good direction and lots of how to videos You don’t have to use the app after you initially ‘activate’ your product but the app gives you a much wider range of uses for the Luma (different intensities, massage ect) BUT once you activate the product you no longer have to use the app ever . My complaint is the app is a bit glitchy, massage cycle apparently need to download multiple times and it does freeze/glitch out when I am trying to use it - but for the most part is good

Horrible app! Men beware!. Men beware! Foreo Luna 3 for Men is amazing. App is horrible. It connects and the only settings you allowed to change is an intensity of so called pulsation. Regular Luna 3 not only allows you to change intensity of pulsation but also customize duration of treatment. Also on screen guide shows that each cleaning takes 12 seconds to clean and you suppose to clean 5 zones, where in fact, when you push button on Luna 3 for man it runs for 15 seconds, then cue a vibration to switch to next zone and turns off after 3 more 15 seconds cycles. Leaving you with 4 cleaning zones instead of 5. Very disappointed that men are so discriminated and can’t change anything in an app. Hesitant to return the devise. As it’s very annoying to press button twice where it could be so easily fixed with a simple update of the app.

Useless. After spending 10 mins trying to figure out how to connect it to my phone, it ended up not analyzing anything. It was stuck on the “right cheek” screen. I’ll use the device to cleanse my face, but the app is being deleted. So disappointing.

Awful app. Like another review said, have to reconnect your device every time you use it. Purposeful walls so you can’t use certain masks with the UFO mini (the less expensive UFO) so they can make you upgrade. Bad customer service to boot.

Really degrades the experience with luna 3. I have a luna 3 and because of how non user friendly the app is, I haven't been able to use the extra features. Every time I open the app it asks me to log in. This extra step takes too long and makes it too much of a chore to use the app. It also won't let me register my Luna 3 and it asks me to pair it every single time. I've been using my Luna 3 without the app for only regular cleansing.

Facial brush relies on an broken app. This is absolutely ridiculous. It’s the third day since I received my new mini3 facial brush. I pressed the button but it won’t start, downloaded the app but the app is totally messed up and customer service told me to try again in at least 24hours later. It’s now 48hours, still can’t start my brush because this broken app just won’t activate the brush. I mean, 1. It’s a facial brush! Why is it mandatory to connect to my phone to use it???? 2. Whoever came up with the idea of “hey why don’t we add Bluetooth to the brush so it looks fancier” should be fired. 3. Seriously, I spent over $250 and waited for almost a month to receive it and this is what I got?????? 4. I really liked FOREO products, however their product packaging (especially the ISSA toothbrush) really is a joke and now this new Bluetooth activation feature, does creating infinite problem to messing with people’s life give FOREO team satisfaction? This brand is really messed up.

Garbage App - ruins (otherwise) good product experience. The Foreo App is shockingly bad. Not only have they made it the least-intuitive possible, they’ve now begun advertising before you’re able to access the app(?!). I bought the Luna 3 with the expectation that I was buying a premium product with premium features. While the device itself is great, the functionality is limited without loading the app. When you do finally load the app, navigating to the right place is a pain. Finally, the treatment programs are AWFUL. The robotic instructions are far too fast and overall bad. I was excited to use this feature, but stopped within a week of getting the product because it was annoying and unhelpful. Now i avoid the app as much as possible - which is difficult to do since a lot of the features are app-controlled only. FOREO, you’re failing at the finish line here. I like your physical products, but given the state of your app, I will not be buying others, and will actively discourage people from purchasing your products until something changes. Hoping for a massive update in the near future. If an update is pushed, I will update this review.

Waste of time. I recently restart to use my UFO and I want to connect it to my cellphone. Not only I cannot connect my device (need to send token) I even receive need to send token message when I try to save my personal info. What’s wrong with that?

The app works for iPhone 11 and iPhone XR. I recently purchased Luna and got the UFO for my mom, registering the Luna took me a while because Luna was not charged and the Bluetooth kept on going off on me, the receipt also kept erroring out for the first 3 tries, but after I charged the Luna and reopened the app I found that it magically registered itself. Registering the other products were simple and smooth maybe because the app was updated last week, and I charge the product first to allow the Bluetooth to stay on for pairing time, it’s actually quite smooth process for me. I also downloaded the app for my mom on her iPhone XR and everything just works. There’s only a few routines for the Luna so far but i still quite enjoy them especially the one for the eye area. And my mom really enjoys her products. Hope there are more routines for the UFO2 and the bear, but I’m quite satisfied for now. Thank UUU

Great product, terrible app. App is a piece of trash (or is it the Fofo’s sensors?). Sometimes it takes forever to get a reading, for no apparent reason (although it reads my finger immediately every single time).

Connection failure. Message to developers: please fix the connection issue with this new APP. I had the older version of this APP installed on my IPAD, and it works just fine. But this new version installed on my iPhone has blue tooth connection issue, was not able to use any features through this APP. Really disappointing and sad since I always have good experience with FOREO products.

Nothing wrong with the app. I’m not sure why there are so many negative reviews on the app here or on Sephora, but it is very user friendly & easy to set up. You can download cool treatments to use beyond the normal cleansing and you can even change the cleansing default settings to suit your needs better. Again I have no idea why everyone hates the app. It’s very simple to use.

So SAD!. Is really sad that I paid a lot for the Foreo and the app DOES NOT WORK. I see a lot of people are talking about it and you guys haven’t solve the problem. Garbage app. I own two foreo products and don’t like to use them cause the app sucks so much. It’s slow, runs advertising before you can actually accomplish what you’re trying to do, and doesn’t let you share devices on the app. Considering the app is so detrimental to using the physical products, I don’t believe this product is worth it right now. I would not advise anyone to invest in foreo products until they create a better app experience, or they redesign the products to not need an application all together. It’s a shame you can’t use the physical products much without the app.

Ridiculous App & Technology. The app itself is crap & not user friendly as others have described. Not only that but the skin censor telling you skins age, moisture and score doesn’t seem to have any basis for its information. The actual cleanser is amazing and I use it every single morning. I’ve upped my skincare routine and the app seems to read that I use FOREO every other day, my skin score has gone down and skin age gone up... meanwhile my skin has never looked or felt better. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I think it’s baseless information that isn’t even friendly to use.

New update pros and cons. I’ve had my Luna fofo for three years and overall it’s a good tool and the app isn’t terrible but it’s not great. I like with the updated version that I can manually make a cleaning routine with my fofo. But I don’t like that the measurement only measures one part of your face, it used to measure 4. I have dry cheeks but oily t-zone so now it bases the routine on one section of skin. Wish it was the old way. I do like that the chin is a separate zone now. Overall, could be better but could be worse.

App keeps crashing. Tried opening app a few times but it closed on its own. Hope they can fix this.

If the app is anything like your product... What’s the point of this app? Don’t force people to sign up to an app that doesn’t register the device. I haven’t even used the Luna mini 3 and I’m already planning on returning it. Lawsuit?. My wife received her Foreo 3 yesterday and since then, we’ve been trying to make it works but we had no luck. The app can’t pair with the device, or when it does, it’s only for 30 seconds and then it looses connection. So frustrating! That’s not what we were expecting from a $200 product. I’m stunned when I read all the comments from other users who have the same problem. You can say the app is still in Beta, it’s been more than a year! If you’re not able to fix the problem, why even keeping selling a device that doesn’t work? This is a fraud. We want our money back.

Worked before most recent update. This has become useless since the last update. As others have said, the voice commands tell you to hit DONE after it analyzes your skin but if you do, it doesn’t take you to the cleansing screen like it once did. It disconnects and you have to reconnect. It doesn’t ever record a cleansing. I’ve tried it after analyzing my skin (not hitting the done button on the app but starting the device itself) and I’ve skipped the analyzing and started cleaning after connecting with the app. It always shows 0 cleanings. It’s supposed to be personalized but I doubt it is.

Not what I was hoping. I received the new FOREO fofo in my fab fit fun box so I feel like I shouldn’t even complain but I was so happy to get this item and it was the reason why I signed up for the box in the first place and I got it set up with the app and went thru the analysis and it gave I guess a fair assessment of my skin. Then I hit cleanse and it turned on. It’s only turned on thru the app that one time. Now I sync it and hit cleanse and start and it won’t turn on. I have to manually turn it on and off each time. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong or what? I like the actual device but this app stinks right now.

Not good. The product is great makes my skin feel amazing and has really helped clear it up. On the other hand the new update to the app is absolutely awful. After every time I measure my moisture levels and what not through the sensors it freezes and never vibrates to clean the skin just disconnects. Not sure why it’s doing this because before the update it would not. Fix this issue please! I need my clean and clear skin again!

Such a joke. Very misleading!. I was really excited about using this app with my new FOREO Luna fofo. I get regular facials and see a dermatologist. In a bit she’ll, both professionals say how great my skin is and that my skin is younger than my age (just turned 30). When registering I said I was 30 and had sensitive skin. Every time I “analyze” my skin, it says my skin is 30 and sensitive. This morning out of curiosity, I analyzed my best friends 2 year olds skin. Low and behold.... his 2 year old skin is that of a 30 year old with sensitive skin!! 😂 this app and “smart analysis” is a joke... very disappointed. Hopefully they fix this. Will not recommend this device or app to anyone unless they just want a gentle cleaning device and not use app. If I could rate 0 stars I would.

Nothing but false promises. This item is junk. Got this in my fab fit fun box and has nothing but problems. Does not read face. Continues to ask you to scan right side of cheeks for 5 seconds. Does not do anything after. Press again and it starts vibrating. Should allow you to scan left side of face. Contacted FFF and was told to contact FOREO. Did that and was was told to erase app then download it again. This same issue. Contacted them again and given more instructions that did not work. Wasted time and money. Even thou it was almost free, still disappointed. This would have been great if it actually did what it was supposed to.

Terrible App. The app functions as it’s designed, but the design is horrible. There are so many user interface flaws. The first major annoyance is that it’s nothing but a constant advertisement for the masks and other devices. It’s unnecessary. I spent hundreds of dollars on these products, I’m clearly capable of figuring out how to make a purchase. Then there are things like the audio automatically playing when starting treatments and no way to fully turn off vibrations. You can set it to have no t-sonic pulsations on the UFO, but then at the end of the treatment, it still buzzes for like a full 30 seconds which is neither quiet nor relaxing. For the UFOs, there’s also no real reason why it should cap you out at 180 seconds for a treatment. There are more issues, but I don’t have the time or energy.

App stopped working after second device. The app will no longer connect to my account even after restarting my phone and Bluetooth. Got one use out of my second device and can’t long back in. Why have such an expensive product that only works through the app and then have such poor app development?? With my first product, UFO 2, it had trouble finding my device which was disappointing for price point but I could still get it to connect eventually, but now I account won’t even connect. Very disappointing

Inaccurate. I received the FoFo in my FabFitFun box. I set up my profile where it asks you your age and the type of skin you have (I am 32 with combination skin). After the first few analysis with the sensors, my skin’s age varied between 32 and 34. I was wondering how reliable this information is. I used the sensor on my 35 year old husband with extremely dry skin...so dry in fact, that large flakes of skin fall off daily. The sensor said that his skin age was 32 and combination. I then used the sensor on my children. It again told me that their skin age was 32 and combination. I am definitely doubting the accuracy and will no longer use the sensors and app. I will continue to use the cleansing side though because it seems like it would be beneficial.

Released too soon. The app and the device worked great when it first arrived (got it in my FabFitFun box). The next day I tried to use it to cleanse, but the app wouldn’t connect, keeps searching (but the device lit up indicating it was connected). I figured out if I went back to home then clicked Connect again, the app would realize it was connected! But then clicking on either Cleanse or Analyze, the app would crash. After standing there going through this cycle over and over with my face wash drying into a mold on my skin I finally just switched back to a wash cloth. My instinct is to toss the thing, but I’ll hang onto it for a few weeks in case the app gets an update. Also it said my skin age was 35, so 🖕🏼

Works just fine for me. I have a few foreo things and the app works just fine for me. I’ve noticed they update the app quite a bit so if I find that the app is glitchy, I just update it to the latest version and it works fine. The app was really helpful in “unlocking” pro mode for my bear microcurrent. Would be nice to see a how to and tips and tricks video library so I don’t have to go on the youtubes.

Foreo Luna app not the same. I received this in my FabFitFun box 2-years ago and installed the app. It WAS very intuitive with my skin and skin type. I since then deleted the app and recently reinstalled it. The new app is TERRIBLE. It's not as in depth as it once was. I don't feel like the tutorials are explained enough as far as the next step, when to measure your skin type again, what type of sido to use, nada! Very generic and honestly, I don't need the app really. I can do the scrubbing without the useless app. Maybe y'all shouldn't have messed with the older app. It was better the way it was 2-years ago.

Been searching for massage modes. I love the Foreo Luna 3 itself, but both the app and the device need improvements. I could only go to massage mode after the cleansing mode, and it has to be started from the app. Not everyone brings their phone to the bathroom! I can start the cleansing mode from the device itself by pressing the button 2 times, but there is no way that I know of that could get me to massage mode from the device itself. And if there is a way to go directly to massage mode right from the app, that would be awesome. I look forward to some improvements!

Disappointed with App. If I could leave no stars I would. This app is absolutely unacceptable. The price the customers pay for the devices is already pricy let alone they sell on the idea that the app will personalize skin routines for you and track your skin. However when you receive one device and it won’t link up even though you’ve contacted customer support for over a week, then you go and exchange the device and get a brand new one, that one connects, but now the app doesn’t want to work? It’s completely unacceptable from the consumer end and Foreo should have done better on their app analytics and their devices.

No directions. No explanation on how to use the product. I had to search online to find out that you need to change the area of your face that you are cleansing with each different vibration. Also, instructions with device states that it comes with a charger, but I found online that it takes 3 AAA batteries. I realize this is a beta version of the app, but a few simple instructions may lead to better satisfaction and results for everyone. First time using this device and not sure of effectiveness at this point, but skin feels nice after first use.

The struggle is real. Do not, I said do not! Buy! Foreo! Luna! 3! My foreo luna mini 2 broke after 2 years and since I love it I went at the store and bought the 3. All what people are saying is true! You can’t turn it on the luna if you don’t connect to the app, proof that you bought with receipts and then go to settings. It’s so complicated, your hands are wet because you are washing and you still have to connect with the app. When you want to be off line it stays on line when you want to be on line stays off line. It’s crap. I’m so sad that they turn something so simple and useful in an extremely frustrating complicated thing. Ugh! I’m returning this for sure!

Super disappointed so far. I just got this in my FabFitFun box and installed the app because I was super excited to have skin help. The app doesn’t clarify if it successfully paired with the item but continues forward telling you to hold it to your right cheek. It doesn’t clarify if it’s working or how long but it also never moves forward to the next step. The app doesn’t seem to work at all so basically I have an expensive face scrubber. The app doesn’t even have a customer service/helpdesk feature to get help with the app so all I’m left with is a partially working face scrubber and complaining publicly in the App Store instead of having the option to discreetly ask for help.

UFO Foreo. I was really excited to use this device for its benefits and seen many good reviews about it as well. Now that I have it, the device seems to work but I cannot get it to pair with the app. It’s super frustrating, because I’ve uninstalled and reinstalling the app with few times, fully charged the device to be sure, turn the app and off and it still it won’t pair even with the recent update. I guess I’ll try to use it without the app since I cannot return it anymore but just it feels like a waste of money since I can’t use the full features of it 😒😕

Poorly executed. Given that FOREO included their products in FabFitFun boxes this season, you would think they’d anticipate that A LOT more customers will be getting this app and it needs to be on point, or at least functional. I’m giving it two stars because I see the potential, and I love the analyze feature. But it didn’t provide cleansing tips/instructions as it said it would and it took entirely too long to connect to my device. Still can’t register it for the warranty. Lots of good ideas, but lots of bugs to work out. I’ll probably stick to my Clarisonic Smart Profile until they get this figured out.

Stuck in Russian Solution. Much like the other reviewers, my app kept getting stuck in other languages. I would screenshot the page and then put it on google translate until I read the App Store details that it “defaults to your phones language setting” so for fun, I went into my “language and region” settings category in my iPhone and sure enough, I had English first and then a Russian keyboard (that I have NEVER set, btw). So I deleted that, my phone kind of soft reset, and the app is in all English now! It is still glitchy and it shouldn’t do that but there is at least hope for it now! I can’t wait to use it!

Great concept - Needs WORK. I love love love the idea of this. I was so excited to be able to track my skin. The only problem is, I can’t get it to analyze. I’ve tried like 5 times and I’m at a point where I’m frustrated. Sometimes it takes a few seconds to analyze a cheek, other times it will take a good minute before I give up. I have no idea if it’s analyzing. I think it would be great it there was a little circle or something, kind of like the finger print scanner on the iPhone starts to fill as it analyzes your fingerprint when you first put a fingerprint in. That way I know if it’s truly sensing my skin and how much it has to go before it’s done sensing.

Not good for combination skin. Just began using my product today. What drew me to this is it said it would analyze my skin and track my progress. I tried today for the first time, and as I was analyzing I realized I could only do one section to count for my whole face. If I moved the product around it wouldn’t analyze my skin. My forehead and chin are dry but my cheeks are oily. I had to hold it in place for 10 seconds to get a read, but it wouldn’t let me select where it was. So the app can only think my face is oily or dry not both. This is frustrating so I went into customer support live chat for help. They said this was the only way to do it and I couldn’t analyze different parts of my face. Not sure how you’re supposed to track my progress.. guess I have to just pick which section I hate more and work on that. Glad I bought this product on sale. Would not recommend buying full price

Works Great. Easy to register. Easy to sync device. Analyzed quickly. The device was able to sense that I have combination skin which is a surprise because it’s true. Paused to tell me when to move to the next section. I could tell each section was different because of the intensity of vibration and the amount of time I stayed on each area, so it truly is customized.

Needs improvements. I enjoy being able to use my Luna fofo to check moisture levels in my skin. It combines 2 devices I had been using, into one. However, the app itself could use some fixing. I wish I didn't have to press the start button with my hands after just wetting my face. It would also be nice if the screen stayed on the whole time while cleansing. Sometimes my screen times out & my finger is too wet to unlock my phone. Overall, I am pleased with the device & cleansing - but some fixes are needed.

Why the app?. I love the product, but the app seems kind of useless. It doesn’t actually give an accurate reading of your skin - I’ve deleted and redownloaded it and made a profile with different skin type and age just to see what it would say, and it follows whatever you put in and only changes a little bit. I have the fofo and it doesn’t ever get past the “cleanse” screen despite saying there would be additional instructions on the next page. So basically I’m not getting a lot out of the app, but the cleanser itself is great for cleaning and at least I enjoy that!

Settings???. Unable to get to settings after tapping on products. Have googled how to and sometimes got to settings...randomly...the intensity part has shown up a couple of times. Haven’t been able to bring up massage yet but I have used the cleaning part which I like but would like to freely change settings without guess work and crossed fingers. I have reinstalled app three different times...hasn’t made any difference. Seems like some other two year old reviews with related problems are still occurring. Apparently this app has uncorrected problems on such an expensive device. If this doesn’t improve I may return it after the holidays to Macy’s where I bought it.

Total garbage. So now theres an app for your facial cleaning routine? So hokey, but since I got it in my box and I normally love gadgets, I gave it a go. It took 5 attempts to connect, the device to the app and I was able to do the “skin analysis”. It showed me my routine (wash my face everywhere, who would’ve thought?) and then took me back to the connect page. And now it crashes every time i try to reconnect. I was able to get into settings where you can change color values, not sure what thats about and vibration speed, pulses and heat/cold. Played around with that and it did nothing. Seriously, what a waste of time. Go wash your face, you know how-yo don't need an app to tell you!

Awesome skincare tech!. Honestly I wasn’t sure what to expect, but this is really cool! Next level skincare, travel friendly. I found that the app paired with my UFO easily, just hold and press the button for a few seconds and you’re ready to go. I hope they launch new masks soon, Make My Day is my fav so far. 4 stars because the app is still pretty new and I’m sure they are going to be adding new content and functionality. 5 stars as soon the they deliver more content and updates!

Won’t work once logged in.. I got this in my fabfitfun box. I was so excited to get it, but now I’m just disappointed. The app doesn’t do anything. It lets me log in and connected it. But after that it won’t analyze my skin. I don’t even see where that option is to do a mask like others are talking about. I realize it’s the beta version, but why release a product that uses an app when the app doesn’t even work right. If I had payed the $89 price tag I would of been mad. The selling point for this version of the Luna is the fact that you can interact with an app to analyze your skin, yet that isn’t even possible. Also why ask our age, I thought it was supposed to analyze our age.

Glitchy Bluetooth connection. Most times I cannot get the app to start the cleaning process. I hit start and it will do nothing; then the start button will be available again after a few seconds. The light on the Luna Fofo is blinking to connect and bluetooth is on, but nothing happens. After fiddling with closing the app and trying again for a bit I can usually get it to work, but by then my skin is dry. It just makes for a frustrating process. I like the idea of the app age I love the device itself, but it just doesn’t work consistently.

Unable to register LUNA fofo?!. I have been trying for a few years now since this app has been updated to the version it currently is to getting my FOREO fofo to connect to the app. It keeps popping up some kind of error that says “token can’t be added” or you need an extra token or something when I try to connect through Bluetooth. This is beyond frustrating!! This app doesn’t work I can’t even login to chat with somebody about this without it saying this token doesn’t work, this token doesn’t work. I’m glad I got this thing for free because I sure as heck wouldn’t buy these things!! Ugh

Crashes every time I try to connect. The app worked great the first time I used it. However, in the week that I have been using the cleansed, I have not once been able to reconnect it again. Either the entire app crashes, or I get a notification that my phones’s Bluetooth is not on... even though it is. The product has a nice vibration and you can see your cleanser take off all of your make up, but would not recommend getting the FabFitFun box, for this product. Get a different one or don’t expect that the app will work in the slightest and only use it for a scrubber, not to actually work how it is advertised.

Great!. I got mine in my Fabfitfun box. I am really disappointed in the reviews others who also received theirs the same way. People, it was basically free. Give it a chance. I have a Clarisonic but needed something to use for travel. This is the bomb! It is small and works great! I use it with Philosophy Purity and it does the trick. It cleans my face which is exactly what it is suppose to do:) So please disregard all the negative nellies and give it a chance. I did and I am glad I did!

Do not buy these products. First, they require you to register with them, including your date of birth. Then, they make you PROVE you’ve purchased the product by allowing them access to your camera to take a picture of your receipt. After all of that (and charging time) this $199 PoC doesn’t work for more than 4 seconds at a time. Here’s a hint foreign, if you want to sell in the US, have techs and customer service available in US time zones. It does me no good to ‘chat’ when you are all in Sweden. So now back to Nordstrom for the return. Save yourself the hassle and don’t buy this garbage

Waste of Time. The app does not work at all. I don’t know why you would put a brand new device in the marketplace and advertise that highlight of it is that it has an app to go with it. It’s ridiculous to amnot have the app be able to do anything. Unfortunately the people who are responding to questions, concerns are ill equipped and or disinterested in customer satisfaction. Epic fail!! I have another device like this, a previous model, which I love. I don’t know if the company decided to bite off too much and do an app with this new FoFo. But it’s a big piece of junk! Also shame on FBFitFun for enclosing this in their box when it doesn’t work.

Terrible product! Don’t buy it!. This is the worse product I ever received for Christmas. When I opened the gift from my friend I said: Wow! She went all the way, THATS terrific! But I did not know that it was going to be so super “techy”. After downloading the app, registrations, etc…I went ahead and try to use it, Nothing! Nada! Niente! This piece of %#$&* made in Zhong Guo is worthless. But I imagine someone is making tons of money out there. Awww🥰and all the 1star reviews have a cut and paste care answer from FOREO. How detailed and lovely of their part. Thank you FOREO for cheating people with cheap technology. And go ahead and send me my Im sorry “la mia culpa” cut/paste message…like I really care!

Maybe I’m using it wrong. In the old app when I clicked Start, the UFO would start. In the new app I selected my mask, clicked download(?). Got confused because nothing happened. Tried again and clicked Start. Nothing happened with the UFO. After trying a couple of times I gave up and just let the app play and started the UFO manually. It seemed to be doing the selected treatment, but a few seconds behind the app. I have no clue if this thing is synched or working together anymore. I’ll try with a different mask, but maybe the app functions differently now.

Starts on it’s own before I’m ready. Had to re-download app bc it was appearing in random places on my home screen. Just re-downloaded and it connected fine, and took me to the screen where I can select my mask. Before I was even able to select one, it started on its own. I turned it off, bc nothing was on it yet, to put the daytime mask on and turned it back on to connect, and it automatically started the nighttime mask. During all this, the screen went back to the scanning/connecting screen and stayed there the entire time - I did not ONCE get the start button, and was never shown a countdown timer like before. THIS APP DOES NOT WORK - PLEASE REVERT BACK TO YOUR PREVIOUS VERSION. In that one, I at least was able to 1) pick the mask I was doing, 2) PRESS THE START BUTTON MYSELF, and 3) View the countdown so I could pace where I was in the facial. This deserves negative stars compared to what it used to be. And please come out with organic mask options. I will not use mine again until this app works, and won’t be purchasing more masks until they are organic. Thanks.

The device is cool, the app is worthless. Even for a beta, this app is terrible. There is no way that I've found to go in and review your "personal" cleansing settings without going through the gimmicky sensor readings each time, and if I do the sensor readings several times in a row I get a different skin score each time. At one point I got to a settings page with red, green, blue sliders but 1) I don't know how I got there, and 2) there was no context on what those sliders meant or what they did. That same page also had three temperature settings, and I also have no context on those (I left mine off since I have no way of knowing how to even get back to this page).

Terrible App/Product. An app to wash your face? Apparently you must have the app and be connected by Bluetooth for your Luna to work. The problem is the app is designed horribly. The instructions are abysmal. The app constantly loses connectivity to the device - thereby rendering your device useless. You can’t even update your preferred settings. Warning - do not buy this device or download this app. So stupid! Who wants their phone with them while washing their face? There should be a manual way to use without an app - no less an app that doesn’t work or connect.

WARNING: it TALKS in the new update. I have a fofo from the FabFitBun box and I love the device but this app is crap. Originally it was kinda cute for the novelty of it but then I went to use it in the new update and suddenly a creepy voice told me what to do instead of just reading/following the animations. Great for accessibility but there is no option to disable the voice. It scared the living daylights out of me and I want be able to listen to music not some app telling me how to clean my face. Luckily fofo works without the app. It’s a great device for what I paid for it but the app is lacking in major ways. Just get yourself a Play Plus and forget the fofo. The app isn’t worth the extra $$

App is horrible. I had enough trouble with the old app—could only use for the Glow function. Couldn’t figure out how to switch to the 60 second function unless I didn’t use the app in which case it was the default. The updated app is worthless. How do you “start”? It says press twice for the Glow function but as soon as you press it once it’s on the 60-second function. Tried pressing as quickly as I could—similar to a double click on a computer mouse—to no avail. This is the most Non-intuitive app I have ever used. Kinda like IKEA instructions—which is also Swedish. Hmm. I like the product. I HATE the app.

Works Great. Love my new FOREO... it’s easy to use and the set up and registration were great. I think another user had difficulty registering their product due to the keyboard not minimizing to the next field. If you’re using an I phone, next to the spacebar there is a ‘next’ key. If you select that it will take you to the next field until you’re done. Hope that helps!

OMG. This App is horrible. It keeps asking me to pair my device and it doesn’t explain what your skin needs at all. I might be missing something with that part but every option I try to choose, takes me back to pairing. It also won’t let me register the product and there’s definitely an option for that. I like the device itself but at $100 dollars with no way to charge ( as far as I can see ) it better last for so long it’s worth it, because the app at this point stinks and makes my gadget a glorified face brush. The vibrations and times zones are fun but again not worth the price tag.

Terrible. Complete rip off. Can’t believe they’re selling these devices for $100 when you can’t turn them on without struggling and failing to get an entirely useless app to work. Spent 20 minutes getting my app to connect over bluetooth (the error was your need send token to access this endpoint- which- ???) and now have been stuck on the device registration page for half an hour. My mobile Sephora receipt has been denied each time I try to submit, regardless of how i take the picture. Foreo, please tell me why you would create a device that is unusable without an app and then act like people have paper receipts. It’s almost 2020. Do better. Go buy a Clarisonic.

Broke Me Out. I have acne prone skin, so my skin care routine needs to be top notch. I’ve been struggling with acne for awhile. And I would say that my skin type is normal/combination. I thought that this would be the answer, but it isn’t. My mom got me Proactiv to try, and the first week, my skin was looking almost clear. My only mistake was adding this to mix. Now I only used it for a week, so I don’t know what the results would be for a month of use. But this cleansing brush broke me out so hard. As someone who is VERY into skin care, I won’t be using this or recommending it. Your better off with using your own hands. I don’t recommend.

Seems to be fine.. When this launched there were clearly many problems with the app. This is among the most advanced skincare devices on the market, and probably could have used another few months in beta mode. But, rest assured these problems seem fixed and it is a lovely device. Only irritation is that you have to use the massage function with the app (I.e. not in shower) but that isn’t a problem with the app.

Need pause functionality in Foreo Bear Treatments. This app is ok, but the Bear Treatments do not have pause functionality. They indicate to apply conductive serum/gel on all treatment areas first, but by the time you move to the next area to treat, the serum has dried. If you could pause the treatment, you could apply the serum to one area at a time. So the treatments don’t work that well for me. Otherwise, like I said, the app is ok - I would just like a practical option to use the actual treatments.

Getting better. I like the new update, especially being able to use the recommended cleansing routine without connecting to the app. However, I usually have my phone muted and I didn’t realize at first that there were spoken instructions. I didn’t see any corresponding written instructions and only figured it out after reading other experiences online. This seems like a pretty big oversight, especially for users who might not be able to use the spoken instructions due to hearing loss or other reasons.

Love the product, app is awful. I really want this concept to work, but the app cannot do what you promise it to do. The Fofo makes it so easy to clean your face well, without overthinking it...but the app can’t handle the rest of the commitment. I thought the update would rectify the issues, but it almost made it worse because there’s no way to just clean your face and have the app register it after you update your profile. I don’t have time to analyze my skin every time I wash it. I hope you get the kinks ironed out, because I really do love this idea!
