Can’t name friends. The app is excellent overall, but as the owner of a private car service the fact that you have to have a friend share their flight with you to name it is seriously annoying. “Friend’s flight is now departing.” So we're supposed to expect everyone we pickup from the airport to download and subscribe to this app just so we can name the flights on an app we’ve already paid for? That’s a shady way to get us to share the app. Let the features speak for themselves and be the reason we share the app with friends and family. For the cost of this subscription the ability to put a name on a flight should be the most basic of features.

Best app to feel informed and confident with travel. I am an avid traveler and I love flying. That being said, I do have some anxiety around it, and historically I’ve often worried about getting to the airport early enough, finding my flight, and anticipating delays. These days, I belong to a few airline clubs, so I enjoy spending time there before my flights. Having the immediate notifications about my flight and the ability to track where it is, and what gate it’s going to, have given me so much peace of mind. Often Flighty will notify me of something way way way before the airline updates my flight or app. One time, my incoming flight was diverted and delayed, and Flighty told me immediately. My airline didn’t even change the status or do anything for 30+ mins, and always seemed behind on what was actually happening. Meanwhile I went back to the lounge until the plane was headed my way again. I also really appreciate the new friends and family tab as I tend to add my wife and friends flights to Flighty when they’re traveling to see me or in general, and the tab makes it easier - previously I was adding and then deleting them later. Thanks for implementing that!

The Best By Far. I fly all the time for work and coming out of the pandemic I needed a new flight tracking app. A friend recommended Flighty and I am glad they did. This is the best flight tracking app I have ever experienced in 15 years and 650k milles of business travel. Extremely stable, very pretty, and easy to use. I love that it integerates with TripIt! Best of all, the app is super fasts with gate changes and delay notifications. Flighty alerts me before the gate agents even know of a change, and they incorporate the flight plan into the profile so I know what side of the plane to sit on to see important features. I love it so much that I've paid for my team to get subscriptions.

New user opinion. Impressive map display. Over all, this app has potential. However my comparison to other air travel flight trackers, it is not enough for me to spend the extra money. I can get more basic information from other sources free of charge. It doesn’t make a difference how old my plane is. That is regulated by the Airlines & the FAA. Delays, Cancelations, Weather, & Health hazards are my concerns. Especially for flights planned way in advance ( Holidays & Vacations ). I wish to see free information that is related to connecting flights & airport gates. You need to develop apps with terminal information- Mapped terminal gates. How far is it between airline gates. Baggage tracker- where are my checked in bags? Delays with connecting flights create missing baggages. Alerts ⚠️, for my flights/ connecting flights that instantly get sent to my phone via banner are at the top of my list.

Good but not great. I’ve been using the paid version for a few months now and initially really enjoyed it. However, over the last few months I’ve been running into more and more issues. The Live Activity tile will sometimes cripple my iPhone performance and cause significant lag on the Home Screen. As soon as I disable that feature for the tracked flight the performance is restored. On a recent trip the app got really confused with two flights having identical flight numbers going from LAX to MIA. The flight the previous day got delayed to the next day and Flighty couldn’t cope with that. The later scheduled flight didn’t even show up in the app anymore and the app merged both flights into one and the updates and notifications went crazy. At this point I just removed the flight from Flighty and went back to the airline app. I reached out to the developer for both issues but didn’t receive a response. It’s too expensive to have these kind of issues and I probably won’t be paying the annual fee again.

One of few essential apps. This application is an essential application for anyone who travels. The application provides information sooner than airports, in more detail, and gives you a way to look at historic information about your own travels. Not only this, but they offer the option for purchase the application as a one-time purchase. I’d encourage you to use a subscription so that development continues, but having the option is great to encourage any type of user to use the application. Finally, it’s share features are really valuable. My parents will sometimes be traveling and I can share information with them about their flights, helping them navigate the challenges of flying without a ton of hassle. I recommend this app to any traveler, whether you’re a road warrior or just going on a yearly family vacation.

Surprisingly Useful. I’m a pilot and so I travel for a living. I download this app thinking it was just a neat novelty app that would most likely be redundant in amongst my other flight apps I use everyday. So far I have been pleasantly surprised at it’s usefulness. Most recently this app knew one of my airline flights was canceled, even before the United App told me it had been canceled. I also like that with the iPhone 14, it works with the dynamic island to keep the current gate # and info on the top of the screen so I can watch real-time changes. I wish there was a way to link Flighty to my flight apps or even my Apple wallet so that I didn’t have yo manually enter all my flight and travel info but other than that mild inconvenience, I like the functionality of the app!

Not sure what the fuss is about.. They are so clearly paying MacRumors, Macstories, 9to5, Mac Power Users, Upgrade, and more soooo much money to lie for them. The app doesn’t work nearly as well as these terrible podcasters claim it does. Widgets are never updating properly, Apple Watch complications are not updating properly, and I have now taken four flights with the app, while being subscribed, and not once has the live activity shown up three hours or even two hours before the fight. I don’t know how I got it to show at all the first couple of flights, but right now I’m not able to get it to show anything and I’m about to fly in 2 1/2 hours. No live activity there. My phone is at 80%, not in low power mode and I just don’t know how much money they want me to pay until the Apple properly work. Still doesn’t work well in Asia. Stop stealing our money!

Travel Essential - Alternative Flights, Updates, and Stats for days. Slightly is absolutely essential to my travel routines. Whether it’s the updates about my inbound planes changes in those planes and tail numbers or even just general stats about the flight flight helps me anticipate things before they happen and get ahead of them when things go sideways the alternative feature is absolutely essential and allows me to potentially explore other flights both within and beyond my airline of choice to make sure that regardless I get to my destination easily, and can share all of this with my friends and family to keep them updated as I travel, I cannot imagine traveling without this app.

Irrelevant for Most, Sadly. This is THE best app for tracking flights, hands down. If you travel more than 12 weeks of the year, get this app. Unfortunately the pricing structure makes it untenable for myself, and I would guess, most flyers. This app is for you if you fly VERY regularly, and ONLY then. I fly occasionally, but having to pay $4 per week, or $8 per trip if it’s more than a week, is too much. I do wish I could regularly be subscribed to this, but at $16 a month this is more expensive than video streaming services I spend way more time with than checking my flight status. I don’t fly 12 weeks of the 52 in a year, so the $48 annual subscription would also be a loss for me. I would ABSOLUTELY pay like $1 per flight or $4 per month to get all the pro features of this. I write this review because I LOVE this app. The UI and UX are simply incredible. The few times I’ve subscribed for a week it’s mostly been because it’s so enjoyable to use this app. I wish I could use it more. Here’s to a more affordable pricing structure for non-frequent fliers. Keep up the great work Flighty, you’re wonderful.

Incredible, just a few feature requests! 🙏🏽. There’s not much I can say that hasn’t already been said. The app is beautiful and does exactly what it needs to do, and far better than any others. I’ve been waiting for a successor to FlightTrack for a long time, and was overjoyed when it finally arrived in the form of Flighty! Before some suggestions, I have to mention that I especially love the calendar sync. It’s a small feature but I love the attention to detail, including the formatting of the title, the info in the notes section, etc. Thank you! Ok, just a few requests 🤗 1. More often than not I’m tracking flights of family members. I’d love to be able to specify the passengers on a flight (from address book or free-form) so that those flights are excluded from my flight stats. Right now every flight is assumed to be my own. This was a feature of FlightTrack that I miss. 2. An Apple Watch app please!! And complications would be delightful! 3. A more prominent (and ideally horizontal) progress bar with elapsed and remaining time. The current vertical one is very subtle and hard to gauge at a glance. It would be nice to have it persistent/sticky as well, so it’s always visible when digging into details. Thank you thank you for not making another app that’s just a fancy web view, littered with ads, or harvesting my personal data! ♥️

Best flight tracking app. I have used a lot of other flight tracking apps. Flighty takes all of them combined and make them look amateurish. Been using the app for several years. Yearly fee is less than a dinner out. And so worth paying!! It has saved me on both domestic and international flights - updates faster than airport boards on status. I know exactly where my arrival plane is and can judge how fast I need to in line to board my flight. Simply the best!!!! Update: Flighty has become the best app on my iPhone. I am almost an Executive Platinum member of AA. Will be there by Jan 2023. I have seen this app update gate changes BEFORE boards on most airports across the U.S. and all of EU. Love it and if you don’t follow Leo Laporte and Johnny Jet podcasts along with Airplane Geeks, then I certainly recommend you do. This is why I have become so fond of this app. I am notified of literally everything…including how old the airplane is. On time arrivals, etc. must download and use this app even if you just fly few times a year.

One of the best apps I've used ever. I really appreciate the attention to detail the developers give to this app. You can tell they not only love air travel, but also presenting the data in a beautiful and elegant way. I'm so glad I found it, and I definitely see why Apple holds them up as an example. One of my favorite features is the Dynamic Island updates. As soon as the flight takes off, the app starts a dynamically updating timer showing how much flight time remains! You also get updates about inbound aircraft for connecting flights, which is a feature I appreciate. All around, it's a great app whether you're a power user or just using it to track flights for fun.

Visually beautiful, data quality sometimes lags. Flighty is visually beautiful. It has some interesting features, although the personal historical flight record is ruined for me since they only introduced the ability to distinguish between your own and others flights years after my account was too polluted with other flights I had tracked. The biggest thing holding back my rating is that quite frequently Flighty's flight dara is less accurate and less up-to-date than other apps. Whenever I email their support team about inaccuracies, I receive a generic response that "We are aware of some data problems and we're working on it." I suggest checking out whether Flighty meets your needs and comparing to other services before spending on this pricy subscription that may not deliver for you.

Best Flight Tracker with detailed results!!!. Let me start to saying we are in the limousine business for 30 years so we track flights all day long this is the most amazing flight tracker ever. It lets you know everything possible about your flight once you start getting the notifications it’s worth every penny. Yes it’s worth $50 a year no doubt about it. Also the second you book your flights no matter how far in advance you can put them in to the trackers. Customer service is fantastic just send them an email and they will get right back to you. These guys have worked so hard to put this app together properly and being experience in this business I have to say again they did a great job. If I could give it 10 stars I would!

Great until it’s not. This is a great app on the surface, but it has a lot of flaws and bugs that appear constantly and make the entire experience clunky. I tried contacting the developer early on to request beta access to test Live Activities and help them debug and they were snobby about it and told me I needed to be more active and submit bugs and issues if I wanted to be considered for the beta. I’ve submitted many bugs and issues since, and there hasn’t been a recognition or reply to any of them. There are constant issues with their search bar. And everything runs smoothly until there’s an issue with your flight. Delays, changes, etc., the point of the app, totally screw it up and the flight becomes useless. When everything works well, I understand all the awards and praise, but when it doesn’t, it makes the price of the app feel quite exorbitant.

Best app for frequent fliers. Flighty provides all the important information regarding your flight in one place. While the airline apps will provide status of the flight one has to turn to flight aware or other solutions to get airplane/tail number specific information, not to mention weather impacts. Flighty has this all in one place. Extremely fast updates of arriving plane status, weather impacts, gate changes, etc. This is extremely helpful for the traveler but Flighty takes this up a notch and allows the traveler to share their status so friends and family can have the same realtime information. Good to know if you are on time for pickup, I share the specific trips with my car service drivers all the time. On top of all of this, Flighty keeps the history for you so you can see how many times you have been to a given airport, flown a specific route and how many trips/miles per year. Airlines will do this for when you have flown with them, but not for the other airline flights. Overall extremely useful app.

Such a powerful app but a few things missing. When I was a roadwarrior traveling 60% of the time, this was my go to app. I wish there were public api's available to script solutions for import that don't exist in the app. I'm missing years of flight data that I can still find in my email but that Flighty didn't import or couldn't due to the format. I've tried fwding emails with the data, I've tried calendar sync (these events are on my ical still) but nothing works. I've even tried manually updating as the failure notification emails suggested but I cannot find any way to manually add flight data.

Beyond Expectations. This is delivered beyond my expectations. Updates are faster than airlines. I was notified which terminal # my baggage claim was at before the flight attendant even announced it. Sharing/receiving traveling updates from friends makes it fun! Only requested feature: When going into the flight information for a scheduled flight the app gives you details on the type of plane, forecast, that days timeline etc. One feature that is missing though is a flight map of the seating in the plane. It would be nice to use the app to remember which side/where about you’re sitting on the plane, especially if you’re like me and book multiple flights a month in advance. A live seating chart showing what is/is not available as well would be an even better upgrade.

Air traveler must have app!. This app has already paid for itself and I just started using it. Was notified of my cancelled flight HOURS before the airline even emailed me, I logged in to the airline app and see the cancellation and rebooking info. Because of the Flighty notification I was able to snag one of the last seats on a different flight same day, if I hadn’t I’d be stuck overnight waiting which is what they originally rebooked me on. Worth every penny. To the dev team: maybe I missed it but there doesn’t seem to be a way to jump directly to rating the app in the AppStore from the settings screen. I did get a prompt for rating after entering some flight info and checking the app again, but I dismissed it because I hadn’t had enough time with the app to really rate it. There is a feedback mechanism for sending you an email but I had to go to the AppStore to write the review, just a thought might be nice to copy Overcast and throw a rate the app button in there. :)

Annoying app. Yes - for the casual user that wants to track a friend or family members flight - this app is annoying as he//. Every time you check flight status the app blocks your usage with a pop up, trying to sell an upgrade to one of their ridiculously expensive paid plans. It’s like whack-a-mole with the pop ups. Flighty’s whole marketing plan (appears) to be….“annoy them until they give us money!!!” I expect nothing for free, I want these people to earn money for their hard work. I have zero problems with ads somewhere around the GUI when I’m using the app. To CONSTANTLY block access via pop ups is not acceptable. Here’s a couple tips to make your app more usable, at no charge; 1. Stop tracking the flights at tree top level. There is ZERO value in seeing a flight as it transits a map, zoomed down to where the flight is in relation to a freaking blade of grass! Zoom out on the flight so it can be seen in relation to several countries or states. The zoomed in map is useless. 2. Allow the user to set the destination or departure location in the users local time. I need to know what time a flight is departing or arriving at an airport in relation to my local time. If my wife and kids are going to Amsterdam, I need to know what time they arrive in Amsterdam local and my local time. Not rocket science. Based on the above issues, I will not use this app. I will not recommend this app. Ps for all that hard earned cash Flighty wants for their app…where did the widget go?

Please add VietJet Airlines. Please add in VietJet Airlines so it can be tracked for flights as well! Planning a trip to Asia and it’s a very popular airline however half of my trip cannot be tracked because of this. Please add them! Also, not a huge fan of the removal of free features such as removing the Lock Screen widget which was given for free before but now taken away. I get that you need to monetize, but taking away features that were once free and putting them behind a paywall is frustrating. I think the service payment system is a little excessive and should have a casual user tier with a certain amount of flights per year. Would allow for more paid users without some being turned away because of the very high monthly fees, even though the goal is to get people to sign up and forget like most services, but you’d get more people in the door for a lower monthly fee tier. Plus happier customers

Truly passionate flyers made an app for truly passionate flyers.. I’ve used App In The Air for years and had a lifetime membership for that, but overtime they’ve switched from helping you fly to harassing you about booking thru them and buying travel insurance from them, lame. Switched to flighty about 9 months ago and it’s a wonderful app. It’s got a clean UI, the important info is readily available, and the advanced info is just as easy to access. The app has indeed been faster to notify me of delays and cancellations then the airlines, and have saved me plenty of time switching plans before everyone else knows. The app also keeps track of your stats like routes flown, distance, time in air, aircraft flown on, and so much more. When I first joined 9 months ago, I used the feedback option to suggest a way to view all flown aircraft, and they got back to me with a non-automated email fast. Even better, a month later they added the feature and took the time to let me know personally. Talk about service! Also want to mention the Apple Watch app, which works wonderfully for quickly glancing at key info like gates and departure time on the move. It’s clean and stays in sync. It’s a lot more expensive then App in the Air; my lifetime for them was the same as a year membership with flighty. However, I truly believe it’s worth the cost as the passion is there and the app is powerfully helpful.

Saved me HOURS of time! 6 Stars!!. This app is one of the best in the entire App Store, and has been worth every penny I have spent on it. The user interface is blazing fast, and they have beaten every airline I have ever used with the speed of their notifications. Yesterday, I was preparing to layover for 2+ hours in ATL on my way to MCI. There was an earlier flight to my final destination, but Delta wouldn’t let me book it originally since it was supposed to take off too soon (~10 minutes) after my first leg was landing. Regardless, I decided to use Flighty to keep an eye on this earlier 2nd-leg flight. Maybe I would get lucky! Halfway through my first leg at 30,000 ft.,I got a notification from Flighty that the earlier 2nd leg was delayed by 15 minutes and that my flight was going to land early by 5 minutes. There was a chance I could make it! I rushed off the first leg flight as soon as it landed, and sure enough there was a standby seat available on that earlier second leg. I ran across the B terminal and made it just as main cabin was finishing the boarding process. I got to see my family earlier because of this app. Thank you Flighty devs!

Over the Top. Flighty is an exceptional flight tracking app that has somewhat transformed the way I travel. The app is incredibly easy to use, and its intuitive interface allows me to keep track of the flight details with just a few taps. The app provides real-time updates on flight delays, gate changes, and cancellations, which is quite helpful. Flighty's predictive technology is incredibly accurate, and it has saved experiencing unpleasantness several times. The app sends alerts whenever there is a potential delay, allowing me to plan accordingly. Another great feature of Flighty is its ability to provide information on the airports I am traveling to and from. The app provides detailed information on the airport's layout, amenities, and food options, making it easier for me to plan my time at the airport. Overall, I would highly recommend Flighty to anyone who travels frequently. The app is reliable, easy to use, and has features you need to make your travel experience as good as possible.

Great Travel Companion & Tracker. I average 40-60 flights a year and I originally began using Flighty a couple of years ago as a means to log all of my flights. I quickly adopted it as a tool to stay updated on flight information prior to and during travel days. It offers a ton of acuurate information regarding acft info and gate info during travel. I will often get a flighty alert ahead of notification from the airline's app. The in route flight tracker you can display on your phone while in flight is really nice and convenient as well. The only note of caution is if you have all travel day alerts set on and use an apple watch, it does consume a lot of battery power throughout the day, compared to a normal days usage but thats a tradeoff I can live with.

Great resource for active fliers. Pulling data directly from the FAA resources in real-time makes Flightly current and relevant, many times before the airlines' apps. Knowing of potential issues on inbound flights allows me to make early decisions on my itinerary. Adding in the automatic retrieval of flight data, all the cool reporting and logging functions makes Flightly a must for me. Now I can even track friends' or colleague's flight even while I'm flying due to connectivity through the plane's WiFi. Any issues or questions were always handled quickly and thoroughly by Flightly's staff. They even kept track of some suggestions I made 5 months ago and, when a number of them had been implemented, the CEO emailed to thank me for the ideas. Nice touch. Highly recommend.

One big issue, otherwise great. When I import flights to this app, they often don’t pull in the year correctly from the email. While this is annoying, I understand that the year isn’t always specified in the emails. That being said, it should be easy to assume I’m importing the flight from last week, not from 350 days ago. Furthermore it’s frustrating that there’s no simple way to edit the flight so that is no simple button to click to enter the year. Instead you have to delete the flight from the app and then manually add it which is a pain. App is awesome but missing a pretty essential feature, and the failure isn’t yet handled gracefully. Fix it.

Please clear this up. I’m wondering about how the live activities feature works. I thought that the live activities are supposed to start on their own, 3 hours before a flights takeoff, that you’re tracking in the app. I’ve checked and all the flights I’m tracking have live activities turned on. All the settings are on. But for some reason when I’m trying to track friend’s flights, the live activities don’t begin automatically. Then I miss the tracking at times because I might be busy and forget, I don’t see anything on the Lock Screen. Not until I open the app, then the live activities start. So can you clarify, do I have to open the app in order for live activities to begin? Or should they be starting automatically?

Best Travel App on the App Store! (+Got some cool suggestions). I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS APP!!! I use Flighty every week as I travel for work and vacation A LOT and I can’t express how much flighty has helped me with timings! Before downloading flighty about 2 years ago I was missing flights but never since I downloaded it. The updated timing on flights is faster than flash! Wether there is a delay or the flight departure is earlier, flighty got you along with the exact gate and terminal the flight is in and no problem if it changes because flighty updates it in a few seconds and guess what they also tell you when you should start walking to the gate which is incredible !!! One of my favorite features on Flighty is being able to see how old the aircraft is, THAT IS VERY VERY HELPFUL, I try to avoid any plane over around 22 years old since they have poor entertainment systems and not as comfortable seats. The UI on this app is simply amazing, I want to congratulate the developers because they did a very amazing job creating this masterpiece of an app. A small but very helpful feature for the future: One feature I would like to see on the app as a very frequent user is being able to see a turbulence satellite such as the Turbulence forecast app, that way if the turbulence is bad I will be able to avoid it and purchase a flight with less turbulence. Thank you very much for helping me to never miss a flight again FLIGHTY TEAM!! Keep doing what you guys are doing :))

Still Not Nearly Ready For Prime Time. Bottom-line: Great idea….still poorly executed. Unfortunately…after numerous uses of this app it still fails the most important criteria for frequent air travelers…DEPENDABILITY! All too often this app did not…on a timely basis…or even at all…update with timely delay or gate change information. Currently…you can’t depend solely on Flighty. Luckily…I had activated push notifications from both the airline site and the FlightAware app or I would have missed this critical information. In addition…more times than not…at the gate the app shows we have taken off while the flight is still on the ground loading passengers or is delayed. And yes…I did notify them via the “Report Data Issue” on the app…not that I ever heard back from them.. This app has so much promise and I really hope they address these glaring core problems…and data inconsistencies…instead of adding yet more marginally useful bells and whistles like with the recent 3.0 update. Quite honestly….by a 3.0 version any app should be nearly perfect in delivering its core functionality to users. This one isn’t even close yet. My advice? Try the free version…but don’t get the paid version yet. It’s not ready for prime time.

Ridiculously useful. Infrequent flyer, but Flighty is still insanely useful. I love being able to track and review my historic flight data; some of the visualizations are pretty neat. However, its strongest point is the live updates leading up to and on the flight. It is so helpful in the airport to track the arrival of the plane, and other key times like boarding. It can also be fun to monitor metrics like departure, on-time arrival, and where the plane has been before coming to this flight. The most helpful thing for me though has been the notifications in the months leading up to a flight. The app has been absolutely on top of any and all updates to the flight, including schedule changes. In fact, it just let me know of a cancellation much earlier than the airline did. This helped to reduce uncertainty, and made sure I was able to be aware and adjust my itinerary. Flighty is essential for keeping track of flights.

Soooo detailed I LOVE IT!. I recently flew from Asheville, North Carolina to Boston via Charlotte and this app was soo useful during both my outbound flights as well as my return trip to AVL. I loved getting the continuous updates from the app, especially the inbound flight info for BOTH planes as well as the tail numbers. And boy oh boy did I love the connecting gate info in CLT for my flight to BOS. And on the return, it saved me so much trouble when it told me my original flight from Boston to Charlotte was cancelled. I was able to rebook myself and get home earlier than planned. Furthermore I was able to track the inbound flight info for my friends coming into Boston from Dallas DFW on American as well as New York LGA with ease the next day. All in all I think this is a great app and I can’t wait to use it on my next trip to Portland Maine from Baltimore come New Year’s! Thanks Flighty crew! ✈️✈️✈️.

Overall great. I like the app quite a lot for its minimalism and ad-free. The updated stats are also very exciting features. However, there is one thing I need to complain about, the data concerning Taiwan-based airlines. The first thing is that the database lacks flight operated by China Airline between Surabaya and Singapore on a fifth freedom route. Another misinformation is that two finished flights on EVA Air between Hong Kong and Taipei are lacking final flight status and stays in the future flight page after 4 days (the day I write this review). I reported data missing, and nothing has changed. I hope the staff could further solve this database problem rating to Taiwan-based airlines.

Great app for frequent fliers. Flighty team… I’m a long time yearly subscribing member enthusiastically supports and shares this app with others. However, there is a very annoying feature that would be nice to have the ability to disable. Here’s the scenario: I’m sitting on a flight waiting to take off (which happens at least a couple of times every week), then suddenly a very annoying pop up occurs because I’ve permitted the dynamic feature with the Flighty app. I HATE popups, notifications, unsolicited suggestions, etc. Please disable this very annoying feature as it constantly popups during every flight. I really don’t need a barrage of updates from any app. Love the app, but as someone who flies weekly, really hate that live updates keep showing even when I’ve closed out the app (after landing). I’ve disabled the live update as a result. I really don’t need unnecessary noise/notifications with everything else going on in my daily life. First, the developers of this app continuously work to improve the app with better inner-face and new features (nice update with “friend’s flight”!). The visuals are gorgeous and the auto add to calendar are incredibly helpful. Thank you team and keep up the great work!

THE must have travel app!. I never travel without Flighty! Flighty does an amazing job of tracking flight details, gate changes, aircraft changes, on time arrivals/departures, and updating you on flight changes even before the airline does. The interface with Apple Watch and in-flight tracking are very intuitive and an added bonus. They really thought of everything in the design and interface. I rely on it for all my travel and tracking friend's flights as well. Highly recommend to anyone from business travelers to avgeeks! Exceptional value for the price. I can't recommend it enough!

Essential app for flight crew and frequent travelers. I'm a flight attendant and I initially got this app for its cute design, to brag about how many times I flew around Earth in a year. But I quickly learned it's so much than that. Now it's one of my mostly used app and it makes my flight attendant life much easier. I'm able to receive all sorts of notifications, from inbound flight info, to gate changes and delays. What I really enjoy is a lock screen widget that shows remaining flight time. No more timer setting, just to forget to start it. And a bonus notification when you have 1 hour till landing. And there's an Apple Watch widget for it as well! The subscription fee is well worth it. Great job!!!

Gorgeous, well done app! BUT…. The features are awesome. The UX/UI is amazing. There is a reason this app has won so much praise and an Apple design award. My only complaint is that subscription options seems to cater only to frequent fliers. Sadly, I don’t get to travel as much as I’d like. And today, I’d have loved to buy a family subscription for a month (or even a week, though I detest the concept of weekly subscriptions, they’re usually kinda scammy… but this app is not a scam. Just make sure you keep aware that you might have gone for a weekly subscription). I wanted my family member to use this app for both flights they had today. I’d have loved to buy a subscription to cover both them and myself. And not have to buy a yearly version (family sub is only available as an annual subscription). This app deserves a chunk of change to use it fully. It’s just that well done. And I casually know one of the devs, and they are relentless in demanding perfection. But… it’s too pricey for something me and my family would use maybe twice in a year. This gap is the only thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars. But if you or your family travels often, just subscribe. It’s so well done! I doubt you’d be disappointed.

The Absolute Best Flight Tracking App!. Whether you're an avgeek like me or just a regular person looking for information when you're traveling...this is the best app hands down. You can get as much or as little information as you want. I love knowing the tail number, when the aircraft had its first flight, and then looking up who owned the plane before. But if you don't care, knowing when your inbound aircraft is on its way to you is also helpful information. You think it is expensive. And yes, it might be. But developers make products, they need to eat. This product is 100% worth the money. You will not regret it.

If you travel a lot, this is the app for you.. I cannot speak highly enough about this app. Organizing our trip information and keeping track of my partner’s business trips and vise versa has been a godsend. We fly approximately once per month, but frequently travel abroad to Europe from the US with many connecting flights. Flighty has been swift to notify us of gate/plane changes and delays and it so cool for family to keep track of our status as well. We love the passport feature that combines all of your trips in to a sort of achievement sticker. One thing I would love to see would be a miles traveled leaderboard that could be sorted by all time, yearly, monthly, and weekly. It would be a fun community feature to see how often others fly as well. The only additional feature I wish was available (and I completely understand why it isn’t because this is a flight tracker after all) would be mixed mode itineraries. For example, if we flew to Milan but then took a train from Milan to Zurich, it would be neat to have the entire itinerary in one place via flighty with train platform information, departure times, etc. Overall, fantastic app that’s well worth the asking price for the pro features if you travel even remotely often. The flighty team does excellent work and I can’t wait to see how they continue to improve the app!

The gold standard of iOS app design in 2024. I want the Flighty app design team to redesign all my other iOS apps. Flighty is so elegantly simple and uncluttered, it is a joy to use. It makes beautiful use of the modern features of iOS, like the Dynamic Island and Lock Screen widgets. Flighty shows me exactly what I need to know about my flights and my family’s flights, without any annoying ads or unnecessary notifications. If you fly a lot, fly lots of different airlines, or just want to track your loved ones to pick them up from the airport at the right time, Flighty is a total game-changer and worth every penny in my opinion. I know I probably sound like a paid spokesperson for Flighty, but that’s because I am constantly telling my friends why they need this app in their life. I’m a Flighty fan for life!

request : My Flight Log screen for upcoming flights in My Flight Log. enhancement request: a My Flight Log screen format with My Flights information. The Flighty app has an ALL-Time, 2023, 2022, etc. & you can toggle to a My Flights screen but what I’m requesting is the information from My Flights in the Flight Log screen format. I would like see the (upcoming) stats of my future flights loaded into Flighty but not yet taken. How Many more “Flights”? (projected), How many “Miles” (projected). How much more “Flight Time” You could also have a toggle on this screen for total projected for the year plus add the total taken to date. Love the app been using it for over a year. I rarely leave comments of requests.

Flight attendant. Edit update- shocker. My airline app was the issue. 😑 Edit Jan 2024- the app stopped syncing with my calendar but when the app updated two weeks ago it was fixed. Now iOS has updated again and the app OS back to not updating. I have a ton on my schedule and would like if it was synced again. I tried to send a message through the website but it said I needed to report issues through the app. When I tried to do that it just kept making a zip file without ever giving me a way to email anyone so I’ve resorted to deducting a start and hoping someone can reach out with a solution. I love this app! Since my airline banned being able to use some 3rd party apps I’ve really struggled with finding something that keeps me up to date on my flights. The only drawbacks are: I would love to see this available for for Apple Watch, I would love to be able to save individual trips. I know I can see past trips but they are all just grouped together as a long list of flights. It would be nice to see what I did on a three day work block a month ago. I love that this app keeps track of my inbound plane and when it’s delayed. I also love all the info on the aircraft like it’s age. This app is well worth the money for pro if you fly a lot. It gives me alternate routes if it looks like I won’t make a flight and I love know what gate we are going into as well as baggage claim info that I can give to my passengers!

Numerous flaws harm this beautiful and functional app. An impressively beautiful app that I really enjoy using while traveling. The notifications are very useful- reminders for checkin in particular. I'm a heavy user of the Flight Log- essentially a visualization/history of where you've flown. Unfortunately, about 20-30% of my flights in the past decade can't be added; the app doesn't seem to know about some airlines (5 that I use), and so it's frustratingly incomplete. I also have frequent crashes on the Mac app; emails to the developer remain unanswered. If they could fix these bugs, this would definitely be a 5 star app.

Great for Keeping Track of My Spouse’s Travels. My spouse’s job requires him to travel nearly every week. It was such a pain in the you-know-where to try to keep track of when he was leaving or arriving and if his flights were on time. The Flighty Friends feature has been a lifesaver. Combined with live activities and widgets, it’s now extremely simple to know his schedule. It’s also been a great travel companion for him: he can easily keep track of gate information, flight delays, and even the baggage carousel. He often knows of delays and cancellations before the gate agent even announces it which gives him an edge if finding an alternative flight. If you or someone in your family travel often, you need Flighty. I can’t recommend it enough. One note to the developer: My Lock Screen widget (the small one - not live activities) doesn’t appear to work. I have it turned on for Friends’ Flights, yet it doesn’t show anything.

Since v3.0, it’s gone downhill. I travel quite frequently and prior to v3, I enjoyed this app a lot. Everything seemed to work perfectly with the flight notifications, Dynamic Island updates and live activities. Then, v3 came out with a focus on social sharing. IMO, this is completely ruined the app as many things seem to no longer work. Prior to the update, the live activities & Dynamic Island would show my flight three hours out, now I have to make sure I open the app in order to trigger it. Then, quite often the flight information is incorrect, in fact the last two times it showed that my flight departed ~40min early, while I was sitting at the gate before they started boarding. The app also now (remember, after v3) is delayed in showing delays or undelays, while the airlines app’s show more accurate information. I find myself reporting inaccurate information on almost every flight these days. With airlines starting to leverage the iOS features such as live activities, etc, I feel like I’ll start to migrate over to that unless the dev team can go back to their roots of what made this app great.

I’m a flight attendant & use this daily — need I say more?. Absolutely phenomenal application for accurate and fast flight information. As a flight attendant, I use this daily not only to log my journeys for my memories, but also for my job. It’s not job provided, but I pay for it myself because I love it that much and it makes my life tremendously easier — even at 35,000 feet. My only recommendation would be to offer a special lifetime subscription rate for cabin crew and the aviation industry. I love turning my coworkers on to Flighty, but for some it’s a high price, even with the incredible features. Thank you flighty 🔺💜

Fantastic flight tracker, but tone down the pro ads please. This flight tracker knows more about flights than the flight attendants. I've actually asked flight attendants of flight cancellations or delays and have them tell me "nah you're still good. no flights have been cancelled" only for them to announce it an hour later. Very impressive. With that said the upsell for the premium is a bit much. I don't mind you trying to ask me if I want to purchase premium and laying out the features every now and then, but on the mac app it prompts you around every 10 minutes *even if the app is in the background*. This is EXTREMELY annoying as the icon will bounce on the taskbar until you open the app and close the message. Then repeat every 10 minutes or so. In addition the widget on the iOS lockscreen sometimes shows your flight and sometimes shows "get pro" instead. I get it, you want me to buy pro but replacing basic functionality inconsistantly is very annoying.

Works, even for the workers.. I’m a ramp agent (those are the people who process the bags on your plane!) at Las Vegas International Airport, and throughout multiple contracts and companies I’ve worked with, this by far is the best and cleanest flight tracker that I’ve used for such. Now, I have always needed to mark all of the flights as Friends Flights (maybe there can be something for airport / ramp workers?) but it’s nothing entirely bad. It’s still the best tracker I’ve used and it’s one that I continue to use to this day all to keep me ahead in my work and to make me on-time with getting people’s bags and planes ready. Five stars, every day. Amazing app.

Go-to app for staying on top of air travel. You’ll be getting updates you didn’t know you needed. Flighty was pushing me notifications about flight delays and gate changes minutes before the airline’s official app, impressive and helpful when trying to stay ahead of the crowd with rescheduling, etc. One star withheld for lack of granularity with notifications. The app has a few broad categories of notification groupings and I consistently find myself wanting to mute or disable some while still getting others and there’s no fine-tuning ability. update: Continued lack of ability to fine tune notifications is a disappointment. And the new screenshot nag popup is … well it’s just dumb, it’s annoying, and it’s insulting for those of us who make a conscious choice to screenshot something instead of using a pretty custom share sheet option. Also many updates to the app lately are focused on roping in friends to use it as well, however the core experience still needs work. It feels like the devs aren’t soliciting much “real life” user input. That being said, updates regarding things like delays and gate changes continue to be timely therefore I’ll continue using the app primarily for those.

Wish it had more aircraft details. Love the app! However I fly on Rex Airlines regularly on their SAAB 340 network and wish the app had the SAAB 340 recognised as an aircraft type so I can keep track of my most frequent routes and regos!

Almost Perfect. This app was great for my 1-week trip overseas with multiple layovers/connections. Having which gate I needed to go to sitting in my dynamic island was awesome, and knowing about delays etc. especially with the inbound aircraft was very nice! But I only needed the app for 1 week, so I subscribed for a month and immediately cancelled it. Today, a month later, I get woken up by a “time sensitive” notification telling me my pro subscription has expired. Of course it has, I cancelled it! Why is this time sensitive? When I order food from a delivery app, the delivery alerts are time sensitive but their ads about deals etc. are not, why is Flighty different? Almost 5 stars but sour taste due to this inappropriately-flagged time sensitive notification.

It’s the dogs blocks. Enough said

Almost perfect. This is by far my favourite flight app, the design and utility is absolutely amazing! 😍 Unfortunately it has a habit of consistently crashing a few minutes into each time I use it, even when I'm not interacting with the screen, while also heating my phone up quite a lot. Once that's been fixed this is hands down the best travel and flight app, amazing job to the developers, I love it so much 👏

Better than the airline apps. If there is a change to your flight or a cancellation, you’ll hear about it on Flighty before you’ll hear about it from the airline itself, even if that cancellation is months ahead of the flight. I wish I’d discovered this brilliant app sooner.

Best aviation app for passengers and crew. This app is incredible! As an airline crew, I’ve been loading my roster on it and it gives me reminders of upcoming flights, gates, delays etc

Not working , there’s better and cheaper. The app is not working on my iPhone 14 pro max. Calendars events are not working , I have to add flights manually . Strangely , it worked for my first flights , but then suddenly it stopped working . Now the live activities is no more working too. I have to activate/deactivate/activate the option to see the flight. Today it’s 5.55am , and my flight is in two hours , and I have to fight to find why live activity is not showing . Support is not helpful , and I finally discovered that app in the air , does better , with more options and cheaper … I’m very sad I purchased flight on a yearly subscription, not worth at all.

Good app, used to be better. Great app with great features, but very annoying that we can't access some features unless paying for a year subscription. Used to be able to do this, would happily pay a couple dollars more on the weeklym/monthly subscription to do so

Love This. I love this so happy with this If you fly a lot this is something you need

Pretty limited, expensive. Subscribed to premium, tried with a few flights. Flighty provided very limited information, nowhere near to justify its subscription price of $70 per year. If the app is able to provide extra data in the US but not in Australia, why the same pricing here? Also the business model itself is questionable, I would prefer to pay per flight rather than $70 on annual basis.

Spam. This app not only spams my push notifications regularly with ads for itself, but every single app launch opens an IAP screen.

Misleading Info about Flight Timing. I am really really confused by the app. My ticket shows one time and Flighty App shows another time- 8 hours difference. Had I follow the Flighty App schedule and go to airport I would have miss the flight. Pls fix the app. I even info the app admin by mail and ticket screenshots but they didn’t correct

Great but expensive. The free version is great. I just wish the pricing was more realistic for the pro version

Right in cue! Just too expensive... I mean, $399 for a lifetime purchase or $9.99 monthly? I’ll only use it maybe 2 or 3 times a year, it’s a shame about the price

ok. have not used it but five star

Exceptional flight tracker. I was lucky to be part of the beta and am now a paying customer. This is by far the best flight tracking app for frequent fliers. Except seat selection, I rarely use airline apps or anything else to track my flying anymore. The data available in Australia is somewhat more limited than in the US, but you’ll still have goodies like gate changes, delays, delay predictions, equipment details and offline tracking etc. everywhere. I have tracked 40 flights with Flighty and find it irreplaceable by now.

Great. Easy to use, accurate and great graphics. Lots of options. Thankyou

Disappointed.... In an attempt to squeeze money out of users, a built in function like Live Activities and Dynamic Island useage is now shoved behind a paywall. What is next? Charging people to use MapKit or see their flights in a table?

Unreliable data feed. Beautifully presented but inaccurate compared to TripIt. As an example on a recent trip flighty listed my cancelled flight as ‘on time’ for almost 2 hours after it was cancelled. On the return flight it directed to the wrong gate and only updated to correct one just before departure. TripIt will often alert you to cancellations or changes even before the airline. If flighty can fix timeliness it will be great.

This is why I hate the in app purchase and subscription thing. I’d be much happier if I could see the price before downloading because in cases like this where the price is way to expensive all you’ve ended up achieving is wasting my time and getting a bad review in return. Hope it was worth it.

I don’t leave reviews, but…. I’m obsessed with this app. The team are constantly on the cutting edge of implementing the latest iOS features, usually the day they become available. Love this app so much I bought the lifetime subscription as I hope to be using it for years to come and have confidence in its development.

Great app. I don’t often write reviews but really like this app. If you travel regularly and have an iPhone with an always on display the live activities stuff is really handy. Slick work.

Flight tracker. Great app but disappointed ir doesn’t show flight speed of the plane

Good but not great. The best user interface of any flight tracking apps but has quite a few issues and bugs for what is a very premium price. 1. Flight parsing from email did not work for any of my flights. 2. Incorrect data regarding aircraft's incoming route - although this was the fault of their data provider, FlightAware. There's also a UI bug here which causes flights to appear duplicated sometimes. 3. Got spammed with notifications regarding gate changes, 2 days prior to my flight departing. The time window for these notifications should be configurable. 4. Check-in notification was at the wrong time and there's no way to manually correct it or disable it. 5. Airplane WiFi based tracking did not work on VA despite this data being available. While this isn't a prominently advertised feature of this app, it'd be nice if it worked. Happy to send over the API info for the VA WiFi. 6. When on airplane mode, after the app had thought the plane had landed, it bugged out and insisted my plane was taxiing in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. This didn't correct itself until I actually landed and regained internet connectivity. 7. Weather notification on landing was broken and reporting 0 degrees.

makes it easy for friends to know updated flight times. Share to friends or family and they will not only get your flight details, but they will also update in real time, all after just one quick tap from you

Just OK. To have to pay $80/ yr for live activities is very very disappointing! This feature should be free or at least a separate minor cost 💲

Love this app. I love this app - it is the best way to keep track of upcoming flights and their status, as well as seeing where you have been in previous years or as long as you can go back. Absolutely brilliant.

It’s good, but.. It’s a good app, good UI but subscriptions just ruin

It’s ok. I like how you can choose between an earth or map view but I can’t see where it tells you the height the plane is flying at or details of the aircraft. I am on basic so perhaps upgrading will provide that.

Extremely expensive for what it provides. UI is nice but it’s way too expensive for the utility that it provides. Instead of paying $80/year for some nice-to-haves I’ll happily go back to googling my flight which has never let me down and costs $0. The pricing is to take advantage of business travellers who have too much money to spend. The developer will probably reply by saying how much operating costs they have blah blah but this really is irrelevant to the consumer - the consumer should only be concerned with the price versus utility gained from the product. If it is unsustainable for the developer to charge less than $80/year for what is essentially a souped up google search, then they need to reevaluate their business model.

Loving It. By far the most detailed and beautifully presented travel app I’ve seen so far. For us regular business fliers Flighty has all you need in terms of detail of your journey and how it’s presented. Offline mode also tracks it when you have no connectivity in the air too. Can’t think of any major product gaps at this point but will post again if I think of one. Likely will upgrade to Pro too! Thanks Flighty team for the thought and care in creating such a cool product!

Beautiful App - lacks some features. The Flighty app is beautifully designed and displays data in a clean and modern way. It’s easy to use and has many nice features and functions which take advantage of the iPhone. Although, the app is lacking the ability to tag/filter flights by Personal or Work/Business. If the team at Flighty has the ability to add a toggle switch for me to toggle on a Work/Business flight, that will help and allow tracking of those types trips. Otherwise, I highly recommend this app for any travel enthusiasts!

Costly. It is a good app, but the price is far too much given all that data is available for free in multiple other apps. The convenience factor of being all in one is not worth anywhere near what they are asking for

Absolutely Useless. I used Flighty Pro to test the all. Here is what Flighty app has failed to do: - notify me about a check-in on time. The app was 24 hours late with a check-in notification - provide me information about my gate number - recognize that my flight is delayed at any point of a two hour delay Any of those three problems is enough to say that this app has failed. All three together... well, for a flight tracker that is a complete failure. But hey, there is one thing that the app did not forget to do. It is to offer subscribing for $79 per year. You must be nuts to subscribe to this.

Overpriced and doesn’t let you edit information. When 80% of the features is locked behind a paywall you expect it to work as expected but sometimes there are a lot of missing information like gates and delays. Even when I was in one of the busiest airports (Hong Kong international airport) these information are still missing. Worse of all, the app doesn’t even let me edit the information that I already have such as gate numbers into the live activity notification. Even App in the Air allows me to do so and their lifetime subscription costs the same as a yearly subscription in flighty.

Only 1 Aussie Airline. If you’re expecting to see Virgin or JetStar livery you’ll be disappointed. Seems only Qantas gets a run. Slick looking app though with plenty of information.

Taking the p-. There’s a difference between paying developers for the work they do and absolutely taking the p- out of your customers. EVERYTHING is behind a subscription paywall. Why the heck would notifications, widgets and now Live Activities be behind a paywall? Next, they’ll be charging us to store the app on our device.

Good. Nice widgets and UI. Missed all delays and gate changes on a recent trip. Would seriously benefit from option to manually update instead of hoping it automatically ingests this info. Unsubscribing

Jetstar. The new bro of exactly when flight was taking off after being delayed was unclear and didn’t keep me updated. I was disappointed. Sorry

Great app and beautiful UI. Tons of compliments for this app. Love being able to put in old flight numbers and seeing what planes I’ve been on. But please allow users to switch OFF haptic feedback. We don’t need each input to respond through the screen . Thanks!!

Great app! But slowly removing features and not the most accurate. I love flighty! They’ve got some great features and I’m loving the native look. *But* they’ve slowly been removing features recently. For instance, you used to be able to view your flight history on the normal map. But now, as soon as you tap the history button, it yeets you into the satellite globe and removes the toggle button. There’s no reason as all for this change, you can still view your current and future flights with the normal map, so why can’t I view my pay flights like that? And they’ve also limited adding historical flights to 365 days unless you pay. And there’s no way to add a flight that isn’t in their database at all. So now if you want to have a complete history, if you haven’t already done it, you can’t without paying. These are both things you could do before that have been removed for no apparent reason. But beyond those two (sorta three things), this app is great! There’s versions for all of my devices and it keep’s everything in sync, the live activities look awesome and it’s great and super helpful to see all your stats for your flight. However, delays aren’t the most accurate. For instance it will still say “on time” sometimes even while your flight is still on the group 30m later than it’s meant to be. I love lots about this app but some of the decisions are annoying and the data isn’t the best until your flight takes off. However being able to see where you plane is before it even lands before your flight is super cool!

Best Flight History App. This is by far the best flight history app I have every seen. It’s clean, simple to use and your content can be shared with your friends. The historical features are great for reminiscing on past trips with cools stats to view as well. The only downside is the app is missing a lot of flight data (hundreds of thousands of flights from the second largest Australian airline) and despite paying for the app there’s still no way of manually add this information. Other than this, I love the app and would recommend it to anyone.

Overpriced and unreliable. Time to departure frozen at 60 minutes in live activities and on screen notification. Calendar synch flaky and random. Visually pleasing but that’s about it. Completely unsuitable as a travel tool.

Too expensive. I installed the app to give it a shot, and found it way too expensive for what it is. I’m not a regular flyer and can’t justify the subscription prices they want for casual use.

Accurate Travel!. Great app and very accurate for monitoring flights, delay, departure and arrival and of course a beautiful UI/UX.

Great app. Great interface, great little details. A bit buggy sometimes but improvements on the way. Would love to be able to click into the other planes and find more random flight details when just geeking out.

Flight details. Thankyou for the app. Helped me greatly so I can track family members flight details & not have to wait 2-3hrs if delayed. Gives ETA on arrival & landing

Invaluable! (But needs a Watch App!). This is an invaluable app for even a small amount of flights, let alone if you fly often. The easy navigation and clear information makes the app an indispensable sidekick when you're often tired and stressed travelling through airports. It gives updates of the gates, boarding times, early/late statuses, plane details, flight-plans, and baggage claim carousels, all of which make flying a smoother experience. If you have a phone with an always-on display, the Live Activity on the lock screen compounds the app's usefulness. Having the flight number, gate, and a countdown to the next boarding, departure, or landing always displayed is a spectacular feature. A couple of times, last minute gate changes aren't reflected in the app for about twenty minutes, when the the departure boards in the airport and the airlines' owns apps have updated with the new information. The updates eventually came through, but that causes a drops in confidence when it happens. I don't know if that's the fault of Flighty or the public data feeds though. Astonishingly, there are no watch complications for this app. Every time I fly I have wished I could glance at my wrist to see the gate and departure time. It's a seriously lacking part of the experience, I've had to resort to using Tripsy's complication to at least see the flight number and departure time. Here's hoping that's a feature they add soon.

App notification ahead of airport announcement. Flighty tells me gate change ahead of airport announcement saving me a round trip from terminals and enjoying the lounge for longer.

Does not work. Both flight could not be found

Incredibly Impressive. I love the ability to track the history of my flights and get statistics of my annual flight time and the routes I’ve done on the map… maybe it’s just me, but I find that super cool

Great App and Customer Service. Love the UI of the application and how helpful the staff have been

Underwhelming. App does not work nearly as well as I would’ve hoped. Emailed their customer support team a couple times for help trying to identify certain features that I may have been missing, but never received a response.

Pay to use. - used it for multiple flights in Vietnam/Canada. DELAYS and GATE were not show, but there was many. Bought the weekly but it didn’t really show much more information. Just showed average delay times and some other information that I don’t really need but nice to see. Very modern look. Works perfect with Dynamic Island. AIRLINES USED. BAMBOO AIRLINES. AIR CANADA. VIETNAM AIRLINES.

Expensive. This app is very expensive for what it is which is disappointing. If it was $10 CAD a year I’d have no issue but the $300+ makes it a little insane.

Great. This app is great it is so helpful for me. And it’s free. 💯 recommended

Was looking forward to this. This app might work great in the USA but for CANADA and Asia there are better apps and they’re free. I would get updates from my free apps and sporadically from Flighty.

Another expensive subscription. Gonna give this a try for a year but $60 seems very steep for an app that uses a lot of publicly available information. My plex lifetime cost is $150 and this app charges $350? The feature set and development costs are nowhere close between those two pieces of software. I really just wish the live activities were in the free tier. Half my flights in Canada are lacking plane age and performance data. Hopefully the app can win me over when I’m flying in a few days but currently the pre-flight feature set isn’t worth the high cost.

Not worth it. I subscribed just to try it out, thinking that I would see how it worked with my upcoming flight. You claim to be the fastest and giving delay updates. Your updates did not come any quicker than the airlines updates in our notifications. I thought it would be a better app and unfortunately I’m not satisfied. I also want to know why I was charged for a full year when I was just trying it out? It really doesn’t do much for me, I get the same information I need on the airline app

Inaccurate Data & Inaccurate Statistics. I’ve been using Flighty for a while now and I’ve noticed several issues with aircraft types being inaccurate and flights being shown as cancelled when they’re actually not. Reporting these issues doesn’t seem trigger any response from the developers to retroactively fix these errors. Along with a high price tag, it’s hard to recommend this app.

Amazing for any frequent travellers!. It’s such a great app updating you about all your flight details in one place. Very convenient and the yearly passport showing all your flights is really cool to share too rather than your Spotify rewind lol

Won’t find flights before 2022. The app is great however I have noticed that anything from before January 2022 didn’t get imported from your calendar, all my flights from 2021 are missing.

Life Saver. I am a travel booker for film and tv and this app has made my life SO much easier. I decided that I would purchase this app for use on a super big project that I was going to need to use my phone ipad and comptuer. I couldnt' get it to sync across all and had to end up manuually entering into all three. it was SUPER time consuming nad basically ruined my experience. I tried to find somewhere else to reach out for support but was unable. Makes me sad as I love this app and it has been helpful many times... just not in the case where I was landing and departing almost 300 people!

Overall great but…. Overall it’s a wonderful app to track your flights and share your journey with friends, family and colleagues. What’s missing is for the live flight status to push real time updates regarding flight arrival times. While waiting for my flight at YVR here in Vancouver the app keeps stating my flight will arrive on time while YVR air traffic board shows the flight is delayed. Even after an hour of the flight notification being delayed Flghty still states my plane will arrive on time 🤔

Have to pay extra to use Live Activities & Dynamic Island. Wow these 3rd party apps are making these 2 new standard iPhone features only available to the pro paid version to make extra cash and steal more money from customers. I didn’t buy the iPhone 14 pro to have to pay again to have dynamic island support. Greedy move.

Ultimate Travel Accessory. I don’t fly frequently, but when I do I bake a short term Flighty subscription into my travel budget. It’s an essential tool for a trip.

Excellent App. It's nice to see a native iOS app with flight data compiled in an easy-to-use package. Does exactly what it says it will do. My only wish is having a more macro view of all current flights worldwide. Keep up the good work!

whoa this app is better than flightradar 24. like how it shows you where the plane started taxiing! so shows clearly flight delays. 5 apps later, this is the best. so aesthetically pleasing. if you want speed data then go with flightradar 24.

Love but should have more options. I love this app and it’s one of the few I pay for, but I do think the dynamic island feature should be free or for like $1.99 a month. It’s invaluable in the airport, especially if you have connections or several flights during a trip. Worth the price, but I only buy it during the months I need it. If I paid all year would not be worth it.

buggy - too bad it could be great. emailed flights to track@ do not always get updated to the app...

Not recommend. I don’t recommend this app. My 2 flights were delayed 4 hours. Any were updated. All the time showed as “on time”. I was at the airport waiting hours and if you pay for something it’s for something. Not worth paying.

Prompts to upgrade are way too frequent. The prompts to upgrade are way too frequent. They open everytime the app is opened and the X button takes a few tries before it will close. For the occasional flyer, the app is getting harder and harder to use.

The Best Flight Tracker App out There. If you want to get on top of your game with regard to tracking your flights and ensuring you don’t run into nightmares such as sudden gate changes, when your plane lands at the departure airport, if you’re going to be late landing at the destination airport, and many more relevant flight related concerns; this is the app for you! No other competitor even comes close. Period!

Too Expensive. Such an expensive app with little to no features unless you pay huge amounts per month or yearly. So unfortunate.

Mid. Too expensive for what it is, lacks flight update data sometimes. Recently took a flight from Ottawa to Newark that was delayed twice. Flighty kept showing it on time.

Patience. Stop pestering for money, until we have a chance to try it. Seems like a good app

GREAT APP !!!!. It's a great app , helps me look at planes live location, works great! It's a must get

Inaccurate data. Bought the annual package and it doesn't show the delay nor the gate. My flight was delayed for 1h

Good app but…. Good app but the constant pop ups for the pro version are extremely annoying. There is also no free trial for the pro version. The UI is really nice and polished. Update: I tried the pro version for two weeks as I was travelling and I’m dropping my review to a 2/5 now. It is definitely not worth the $5/week price tag. I couldn’t even get the gate and terminal info for most of my flights (with major airlines at major international airports). I don’t see the point.

Still a lot to work on. Imports fail miserably

Amazing experience. This is the first time I have seen this level of experience in a flight tracking app. Highly recommend.

Greed Takes Over. Nearly every *actual* beneficial function is locked behind a very expensive paywall.

A pleasure to travel with. I travel a lot for work and have used many flight apps but Flighty has been the best by far. It proactively notified me about my flight getting cancelled as I was about to board the connecting flight. Without it, I would've been stuck in the middle of nowhere since the airline didn't even notify me of the cancellation! It gives you great peace of mind when traveling, and you don't have to deal with the horrible airline SPAs packaged as native "apps"!

Underwhelming. With all the “travel blogs” giving incredible reviews, I gave Flighty Pro a try, given that I had multiple flight segments in a week. Results were underwhelming, which is an undertstatement. I received updates from another pro version of a travel tracking app as well as the airline apps , but Flightly Pro consistently failed to provide me with the correct information. It failed to show flight delays even though the delay was clearly posted at the gate. It also showed that there will be an hour delay in the arrival time, even though the flight was 15 minutes early. After this poor performance of Flightly Pro, I did not hesitate in cancelling my Pro subscription.

Missing major international airports. I fly for a living. I’ve flown over 60 times this year in over 30 countries. The premium features on Flighty have only worked for 2 of those flights. They should not advertise them without being upfront that it’s still a major work in progress. Additionally, the app is missing major international airports, so I have a number of flights coming up that don’t even show up in the app because of this. The app is also missing certain major airlines, which is frustrating. I reached out to support about these issues 3 times. One time they gave me a 1-sentence reply that had nothing to do with my issue, and the other two times I was ignored. They pump up this app so hard but don’t have any intentions of listening to customer feedback or even being thorough with airlines and airports. As a very frequent international flyer this app is pretty much useless. Maybe if you only fly once or twice a year in the U.S. you’ll have better luck.

Excellent App. Please do have a sale on the lifetime purchase please No sales???

Looks very good, but…. So after a few days of using this app, sure, it looks really good with simple user interface with no ad and live activity/dynamic island support, but the cons of this app are much serious than I think which even makes pros less shine. First, just like other made-for-Apple independent developers’ app, the price for subscription is too expensive based on the pro feature it can provide to me. Yearly subscription, OK (but really unhappy that there is no monthly subscription); weekly subscription, too expensive (since it has same price of average month price of yearly subscription) and not all pro feature included; lifetime payment, well, that’s too greedy🫠. If the subscription price is too expensive, that’s fine for me since pro features is not very necessary. But after I import my past flights and used it for my yesterday’s flights, I really disappointed that flight information for most Asian flights (like flight departures and arrives in China, my hometown country, and Thailand, my favourite travel destination) are incorrect or missing (like boarding gate and baggage belt info always missing, and final flight status always be unknown🙃. Compare to my previous flight tracker app, VeryFlight (the most popular flight tracking app in China), Flighty have better design and no annoying features (like flight booking and community) compare to VeryFlight, but for core features like flight tracking, VeryFlight is much better with provided all correct flight info even flight outside China (and in fact, all pro features that Flighty have are all free in VeryFlight). If Flighty fixed missing data problem, I will definitely give 5 stars since I don’t really need subscription, but for now, it just worth 2 stars for me (1 for bottom line, 1 for its design).

No month to month plan. The App Store mention a month to month plan. Unfortunately not available from the App itself so cannot be purchased.

Excellent. After “app in the air” notorious for its many functions flighty is the second I know off flight tracker allowing for past flights recording! Add to this the many flight recording options, mapped flight route and total mileage it is indeed a excellent package. The only downside is of course the costly prize tag. 5 stars it is! David.

In-App pricey. No Apple Vision Pro app. Like the app, well designed but to enjoy most of the features you have to subscribe and I think it’s super expensive. Even for a frequent traveller. I hope the price gets adjusted so we can afford and enjoy this great app. Will use App in the Air for now. And it doesn’t have a native app for the Vision Pro.

Amazing app but way too expensive. Why would anyone pay 60$ a year just to track a couple of flights on a map? Insane! 10$ a year is fine, but no way folks will pay that much for this type of service.

Worst app ever don’t download. Would give it 0 stars but can’t I’ve been trying to work this app out but says “can’t connect check your internet” I’ve trying everything to get it around it never works

Just downloaded it, closes every 3 seconds. I literally just downloaded this, paid for the monthly sub. Can’t even use it. Brutal. Closes every time I open it. Cancelling my subscription.

Expensive. The cost is exorbitant considering what is offered. I could obtain similar features available in this app using free alternatives.

OMG.. Especially for the avgeeks like me? The stats are awesome. It tracks your most flown plane, your favourite airlines, and even how many times you traveled around the earth! Love it, keep it up, devs.

Live Activity costs money. If you want this for flight tracking in your Lock Screen using live activities, it will cost you money.

Everything behind paywall. This was an awesome app and got even better with iPhone 14 Pro. Now everything is behind a paywall: notifications, live activities, alternatives. Became pretty useless now. And you have to fly a lot that it’s worth to pay more than 60$ a year to have these functions. Thank thank you for nothing!

Good app but too expensive!. All-time calendar sync is only available for annual or lifetime subscription. That is ridiculous! Why should a feature be locked if I’m paying for the pro app? The app is very pricey and not worth it.

Best app. I tried different apps for flights, but this one is by far the best!!!!

Super fast access to the info I need. Nailed it

Skeptical. So the UI looks nice. The historical on-time data is a nice-to-have but also available elsewhere on my other apps. The TripIt connection for me is a must-have, because I’m not managing my flights in several places and TripIt is owned by and connects to my corporate travel platform. That said, I feel like $50/year is very high for what the app seems to provide. But there’s NO way I’ll pay when it’s not syncing to my iPad. Hard stop. I see from another review that it is “a small subset of users” and that an update is on the way, and that was 10 days ago. So the app has my free trial to wow me and I have one trip in that timeframe to get a full test. I’m most interested in the timeliness and accuracy of the alerts, since I already get alerts from three other apps.

Nice but not worth high subscription cost. I’m a million-miler, 100K+/year flyer, so I’ll try any app related to travel, including the aviation nerd flight tracking apps. I’m just not seeing the incremental value of this app over the United Airlines app and a couple of free apps to justify the subscription cost. For an extra $1/month compared to Flightly, I subscribe to a service that gives me real-time access to flight availability on any airline plus almost all of the data provided on this app. If my travel wasn’t so heavily concentrated on United, maybe I’d see more value from having all of the information together in one place other than the airline app, but I do, so I don’t need it.

Flighty. Flighty notified me that Alaska Airlines had cancelled 4 of my flights. When my husband called to reschedule, he was told the flights had not been cancelled. I sent a message to Flighty and received a quick response that they had checked into it and said yes it had been cancelled. Shortly thereafter, the Alaska website did show that the flights had been cancelled. When flights are cancelled, we quickly reschedule on another flight before most others are even aware of the problem.

Never updates. I have purchased this app for lifetime. Spent $249. I am travelling in Europe. No gate information at all even after the flight is finished. I was in Copenhagen when I purchased this app. Never updated gate information. I am going to Frankfurt and no gate information even when plane is going to take off. Sent a information through the app, they never responded yet after 10 days. Shame on you guys for treating your lifetime customers like this. Had I known this, I would not have purchased the app. Can I rate this app 0? I would if I can.

Didn’t work for me. I see so many great reviews and wonder why I , an ex CIO, could not get this to work well. It seems to have great promise yet o could not get it to accept my data well, nor did it help with my international flight either way. I used several other apps with success so I’m not ready to simply admit user ignorance I will up my stars from one to three, however. The developers contacted me to see if they could determine the problem. That is very impressive While too much time has gone by for me to provide the necessary facts of what happened line by line and in what order, I trust that they are “on it” and want to and will make it an even better app

Best designed and engineered flight tracker. If you value thoughtful design and engineering, this is the flight tracking app for you. I’ve tried 8 other top flight tracker recommendations and Flighty is clearly the best by far. The level of thought the Flighty team has put into even the smallest details is impressive. The result is that I get exactly the information I need at exactly the right time when traveling. This app also does the best job of organizing and displaying large amounts of flight information.

Can’t stop the flood of alerts. Great looking app, but I deleted it after three weeks because it keeps sending me a ton of notifications even after I have turned them off in the app. The app gives you four categories of notifications you can receive. I started with three of the four. I quickly realized that was way too many. So I adjusted to only 1 of 4, then none. But I keep getting ALL of them…probably 20 per flight and many of them being duplicate that come at the same time. I contacted support and they gave an answer that didn’t address the problem. The app is much more annoying than useful, especially at the steep price, so I cancelled my subscription and deleted the app.

Solved a very real problem for me!. Great app! Flighty has solved a very real problem and made my life significantly easier. It made keeping track of all my flights and my families flights a breeze! Easily the most useful app I’ve downloaded in the past year. The only thing I would request them to change is that when I open the app, it keeps me on the upgrade page for quite a while and doesn’t let me view the information I need in a pinch. I wish it would close sooner.

Major disappointment. Visually stunning, and the real-time alerts are nice. However, I bought this for the calendar sync b/c TripIt calendar subscription wasn't working correctly. It worked correctly for a hot second. Since then, calendar sync has not worked. I did get it to sync to one of my iCloud calendars but only that one (not the one I wanted) and since I deleted that calendar now no calendars. Additionally, the dynamic import from TripIt doesn't work when a trip changes. I have to disable and re-enable TripIt connection to get it to register the change. At firsts, support was seemingly responsive, but despite several chasing emails they have gone radio silent. If you want any of the integrations, don't waste your money.

Very fast update notification but where’s the connection assistant?. I downloaded the app mainly for the purpose of connection assistant and quick updates. I currently have several purchased apps running, and Flighty by far provides the fastest updates to gates and flight information (there was a glitch where one of my departure gate never update at all, I had to refer to other app). My only disappointment is the connection assistant is no where to be found. I did the pro trial and had a connection flight during but did not seem to have that feature. I might just cancel the pro and use the free version since the connection assistant isn’t available.

Dead on Arrival. I am not impressed with this app or customer service. My intention was to subscribe to this app that was receiving heralding reviews from just about everyone. However, after using the initial trial that allows you to track your first flight, I am not impressed. Almost a week ago, United sent me an email about an itinerary change to one of my flights. Flighty hasn't yet updated that information and you would expect that an app that touts itself as "The fastest push notifications, anywhere in the world," would notify you almost instantly when changes are made to your flight. This app completely failed to do that. Furthermore, I emailed support with a screenshot of my itinerary change and asked why the app didn't update the information days later? No response from the developer. And it seems I am not alone. Other reviews suggest that when having these kind of issues, the developer refuses to answer inquiries. This is concerning. So, this app for me is dead on arrival. I am going to look at one of the other highly-rated flight tracking apps instead.

Rock solid app with a great team. Flighty is a rock solid app that does a great job of making it easy to keep tabs on your friends & those of your friends, and keep a record of past flights. It will even let you know when a flight is likely to be delayed because the craft is running behind on its previous trip! Customer support is really responsive and helpful, so it’s been great to report problems, suggest improvements, or get help. Highly recommended for any avid travelers. :)

Frustrating That I Can See What I Cannot Have. I love that the App brings together information from multiple sources to provide a dashboard of useful metrics for my flights. At the same time, I can see the blur in the App for all of the features I am not allowed to use unless I pay for the Pro version. This is very frustrating and has me switching between the airline App and Flighty to gather information. I cannot help but think this is the ‘burning platform’ which will compel App users to pay for the Pro version. In three words, Flighty is useful but frustrating.

Im simply amazed- However…. I am shocked about how the app is so user friendly, displays a BUNCH of data but still is extremely aesthetically pleasing. I just simply love every aspect of the app and want to support it by purchasing pro. However, Im a person who likes one time payments instead of annoying subscriptions. When I wanted to subscribe to the life time option, I found it quite too expensive and the price point is quite an outlier to the rest of the plans.

Flight crew. While the app is beautiful and generally works really well, it triggers SO many notifications due to the limited options for types of notifications in the app. It would be much better if you could have radio button options for each individual notification option instead of them being grouped. As others have said, there is overall great value to this app and I won’t be going anywhere. But I cannot offer more than 3 stars due to the notification issue I previously stated. I’ve been emailing the developer for years pleading for change.

Non-pro version is just a giant ad. The pro version is likely quite good. But the free version is so crippled it is impossible to be sure. Essentially every feature is dumbed down to the point of being less useful than other apps I already use. The whole thing is just a bunch of growth hacker anti-patterns trying to get you to buy the upgrade. Instead, just give me a 14 day free tria of the pro versionl. That’s enough to see all the features for myself on one trip. And at the end of that I personally am more likely to covert than I am with the crippled version you let me try out now.

Insane App Outdoes All Other Air Travel Apps. This is an incredible app that synchs also with TripIt. However, it provides minute to minute detail on your flight, upcoming flights, etc. The speed and detail with which you receive updated info is mystifying right on down to “the door closed and pulling away from the gate,” “time to taxi to the gate,” “history of the aircraft and past behavior of late vs early.” Every family that travels shouldn’t have this…can share info with live link to others. Crazy good!!!

Looks Great But Bad Data Sourcing/Info. The app looks great so gave it a try for a week. Had 5 flights that week that I was tracking, and unfortunately the information was regularly wrong. Or got the aircraft type wrong on two flights, it said it was a type of plane that doesn’t have anywhere near the range for the flight. It regularly said there wasn’t enough flight data to make arrival forecasts. And it also has the incoming plane completely wrong for one flight, so I kept getting alerts about my incoming plane heading to Winnipeg and landing in Winnipeg, when I was flying out of Ottawa. Turned out the app had the wrong flight number for the incoming flight. So looks great, but unfortunately simply doesn’t work as advertised.

Great App.. useful and fun. I love this app, whether I'm traveling or I'm picking up my wife at the airport. It has become an invaluable tool where travel is concerned. Automatically putting trips on my calendar is awesome. 2 Suggestions: I would like to be able to label a friend's tripe (Ie. Maryanns Rerurn Flght). The other thing is toggling whether the friend's flight is a departure or arrival. Right now the calendar schedules as if its always departing so times are calculated based on departure instead of arrival. If I'm picking up someone from the airport the event date/time is the arrival time not the departure.

Really impressed. I’m really impressed with this app compared to just my standard Delta app. When at the airport I got an alert that my plane was coming in, and then once again that boarding was ready. I then also got an alert immediately upon landing about where my baggage pickup was and what gate the plane would be taxied to. The level of detail is just incredible and really shows that the devs put a lot of hard time, work, and money into this product. I’ll most likely be subscribing to Pro since I’ll be traveling a bunch this year. Thanks guys!!

Best Flight Tracker Out There!. I have been using flight just over a year now. The app is great with notifying you about your upcoming flights. It keeps a record of the flights you have been on and how far you have flown as well as how many hours you have flown. Flighty has told me about any delays, cancelations, and plane changes even BEFORE the airline has! If you someone who has trust issues with the airlines (like myself) this app is where you can turn. Overall, Flighty is BY FAR THE BEST FLIGHT TRACKER I have ever used. PS: Get Pro I find it super worth it, especially if you travel often)

Way Better Than I Expected. This app is way better than I expected. I’ve always had issues with Hawaiian and them letting me know if the flight is delayed checking on flight info in general. This app really helps me anytime I travel on live updates on my flight. The only downer is the $349 price tag for me and my family. For me I would wish for it to be $249 family an $149 personal. However for it being a little over priced in my opinion it’s definitely staying on my phone.

All the details none of the delay. I fly all of the time and use multiple airlines whose apps all have one issue or the other. Flighty covers those gaps, gives all of the details I could possibly want, and give me some fun historical data too. It lets me know updates at least 10 minutes ahead of most apps and sometimes hours before (looking at you delta for baggage claim details). If you fly a lot you need this, if not the airline apps may be enough for you.

Masterfully designed. This is one of the best designed apps I've come across in my long history of using the iPhone. It reminds me a bit of FlightTrack Pro from around 2011 (if you were around then you know the one I'm talking about) but it has much more detailed data, and being able to sync with Google Calendar is nice. I fly at least once per month, so the subscription is worth it for me. The firehose of data the developers are getting from multiple providers has to be paid for, and I want this app to stick around.

Best Airline Tracking App!. Download it. It’s worth it!!!!!! I use it to track my husbands flight when he’s in air from HI to the east coast (a 9+ hour flight). So it eases my mind knowing where he’s at en route. It gives you notifications when something changes and so on. You can also leave the app on in the background so it shows up on the top of the screen by the speaker (I have an iphone 14) or on your lock screen, showing when they land and expected time of arrival. It shows the planes exact live location! I’m telling you, just download it. The best part is, is that it’s FREE.

Flight Geeks, This App’s for You!. Every time this app is upgraded, it only gets better! The live activities showing position on the runway and time to taxi are amazing. Add in a world map with my lifetime flying history (and stats), and I am in heaven. I appreciate knowing when the aircraft changes and notice far ahead of my airline as to relevant changes. To the developers, three requests: * Please allow notification types to be customized. Getting a ding late at night for a tail number change is a little much. I would like to mute that or make it not appear with time sensitive messages. * Allow bulk import (perhaps CSV) of past flight history. * Improve the TripIt integration so that removing a flight there also causes it to disappear in Flighty, rather than manually having to remove it separately. Otherwise, outstanding app!

Amazing level of flight status detail - takes the crown. This app is incredible! The amount of relevant flight status detail from before to during the flight is second to none. I am a very frequent traveler and have used many travel apps so can offer a couple of improvement ideas - 1) add transit instructions between gates for connecting flights and 2) offer checkin reminders for upcoming flights. Other than that - really well done to the developers! This is my new travel app favorite. Highly recommended.

Recommend for USA/Western Europe only. I traveled to over 15 countries in December 2019 and January 2020. Unfortunately, Flighty Pro (Piaf version) didn’t help me much more than the airline app, Google, or even better, free direct texts from the airline. Specifically, there was little Flighty information when taking flights in the following cities: Belgrade, Bucharest, Kyiv (Kiev), Minsk, Istanbul, Chisinau, Québec City, and Montréal. Hong Kong and Taipei had up-to-date information, as if I were traveling in the US. ***Updates in Québec and Montréal with respect to gate and delay information was at least 15-30 minutes behind the texts I received from Air Canada and United.*** That being said, Flighty is on point for my domestic flights between Portland, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Works Great But TripIt Sync is Misleading, Unprofessional Icons, Developer Doesn’t Respond. It’s doesn’t actually sync with TripIt. It will import the flight from TripIt, but if you change or cancel your flight that isn’t automatically updated in Flighty. The plane icons are replaced with novelty icons for holidays (bats on Halloween, turkeys on Thanksgiving, sleighs on Christmas, etc). That’s fine for people who enjoy that kind of whimsy but it should be an option especially if you’re actually excluding holidays that people celebrate. I’ve sent several emails for support and feedback without response or acknowledgment from the developer. Not a good sign for an app with an expensive subscription fee.

The Killer Travel App. I am a frequent flyer and rely on over a dozen travel apps to help with my travels. I log about 300,000 air miles a year and am in an airport 2 to 3 times per week, both US domestic and internationally. Flighty combines all the best features of TripIt Pro, FlightAware and LoungeBuddy into a single "killer app". By adding flight route history data, actual plane tail tracking and live maps, there is no app I've seen that compares. The pre-flight tracking and in-flight notifcations, along with integration to Apple Watch are game changing. There are lots of nifty features which enhace the travel experience, such as airline specific contact information and alternative routes, specific to your itinerary. I could go on an on. The only downside is that it is the most expensive of all the travel apps I have seen. The annual subscription is pricey, but worth it, given the amount I travel.

Couldn’t track a flight - wrong info given😑. Go to airport or airline website instead. This app gave me wrong info even with the paid version. I put in flight number and it wouldn’t give gate number, got paid version, and still nothing. Then some time later, the Flighty App shows that airplane is on runway, but passenger and family say the flight already took off about 2-hours ago (as does the airline website). While the Flighty App map shows that the plane is still on the runway. So essentially no tracking given, no gate number given and all this with paid version. Weird. Best bet is to go to airline website for free and accurate info.

App does sync well -Update. **** Update: The app has been updated and fixed. This was apparently a global issue that was fixed within 24 hours **** Old post: I have been using the app for quite sometimes now. It was working well until a few weeks until all my flights were showing planes still at the gate even though they left or still flying even though my flights were completed. Not sure how I would continue to use the app when it doesn’t seem to be syncing much.

REALTIME Updates. I downloaded this app at first out of curiosity, but kept it to this day, because it is truly unmatched by any others of its kind! My partner is an extremely anxious flyer in this app has been a huge help when we travel together. speaking from experience, I get updates on this app faster than my gate at the airport does! This is probably the only app that will alert you of changes before the flight attendants! My only qualm is that the app never tells me what the baggage claim number is. It always shows as “—“ long after any of my flights have landed.

Updating this rating as they have addressed annoying issue I reported. The app is great. Support is top notch as they addressed an annoying issue I encountered and now the app works as expected. Impressed by all the flights that Flighty recognizes. I’ve been a Tripit user for 10+ years but had to change that when some flights I had could not be found in Tripit. Flighty had no issue finding and loading the flights. Also found Tripit missed some alerts. Problem solved with Flighty!

Outstanding functionality, support is MIA. Flight notifications are top, better than the airlines themselves. My QR flight got cancelled and Flighty notified a full day before QR did, making it possible to canx hotel bookings, saving me a few hundred bucks! Only complaint I have is with support. I emailed them once in Feb with an issue, never got a response even though I followed up twice. Opened another inquiry nearly two weeks back and that is half-answered. Looks like only 1 person answers support tickets and they don’t have a good system in tracking those requests.

Makes traveling so much easier. This app makes traveling so much easier- keeping track of all my upcoming flights and staying notified about any potential changes to my itinerary, delays, etc. The “25-HR Where’s My Plane” feature has saved me from getting stuck on a layover. Thanks to Flighty’s notifications, I knew my first leg was going to be delayed (before the airline told me) such that I couldn’t make the connecting flight, so I rebooked and avoided a crappy situation getting stuck at an airport. Thank you Flighty! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽Oh, and did I mention that the app is BEAUTIFUL?! Absolutely stunning design.

New Travel Tool For Work & Myself. Flighty has become so helpful to me not only for personal travel, but for work travel as well! As a person who flies a decent amount, it makes it much easier for me to visualize my flights, keep an eye on upcoming flights, and also remind myself of the places I have traveled. Even more useful, keeping track of flights of my colleagues becomes handy when we are meeting at an airport, or I am coordinating their arrival at a conference. For me, just flying once a month makes this a worthy purchase - and flying more makes it unbeatable.

AMAZING. Flighty has revolutionized the way I travel! As a frequent flyer, I've tried various flight tracking apps, but none compare to the exceptional experience provided by Flighty. Its sleek design, intuitive interface, and real-time updates make it an essential tool for any traveler. Flighty's accurate flight predictions and proactive alerts have saved me from countless delays and cancellations, allowing me to adjust my plans accordingly. The app's detailed airport and airline information, along with gate changes and baggage claim updates, ensure a stress-free journey. Additionally, Flighty's personalized insights and historical data contribute to better decision-making while booking future flights. It's like having a personal travel assistant in the palm of your hand! In conclusion, Flighty is a game-changer for frequent flyers, offering an unparalleled level of convenience and peace of mind. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to stay ahead of their travel plans!

Beautiful. The app is beautifully designed, and gives a decent amount of info, what I thought this app needed was a log out or clear data option for the hundreds of logged flights that you either don’t want anymore or logged them wrong instead of deleting them one by one. I logged all of my 341 flights incorrectly and spent almost 2 hours deleting them. It would also be nice if flights with 1-3 stops would be listed as a direct flight instead of having ti select all of the airports one by one. Great app overall, just needs a few minor tweaks.

Half Baked. While all of the advertised functions have worked on my trips, I often found that useful data is not available or not consistently available. The developer markets that you can see the plane's taxi and runway information. While that's nice and all, it is a good to have, not a must have. I'm surprised that the app doesn't support notification of when boarding starts and when you should head to your gate. Who cares about the taxi and runway info if one misses his/her flight (luckily I didn't rely on this app for that, otherwise I'll miss my flights). The other item that needs strong improvement is the lack of plane information for international airlines. I travel more internationally than domestically and I find that I need to look up my flight info using the "free" resources I have than this app. That's what's surprising. If I pay for a service, I expect to get much better information compared to free publicly available resources. Have potential but not there yet. Not for the serious travers, yet.

Calendar auto import fails for the frequent business traveller. Sadly, calendar import is almost worthless if you are a frequent traveler and corporate uses Microsoft Exchange. Exchange/Outlook, like Siri, has an awesome feature that will auto add flight reservations that appear in your inbox. It puts the origin airport as the location and then the subject is Airline Flight # to Destination. But flighty doesn’t understand these. Open a support ticket and it autosends the json. Support says meh…. It has to have the airport codes and flight number. Open the the json it actually has the airport codes flight number. Nice beautiful machine parseable format. Ask if development has actually looked at it? Support blows you off with a we have lots of cases they might do it some day. I mean, come on, it’s not like it’s an escoteric calendar platform. It’s probably the largest corporate email/calendar platform in use. So yeah, can’t auto import from a calendar with autocreated consistent format calendar entries by Microsoft Outlook.

Masterfully designed. This is one of the best designed apps I've come across in my long history of using the iPhone. It reminds me a bit of FlightTrack Pro from around 2011 (if you were around then, you know the one I'm talking about) but it has much more detailed data, and being able to sync with Google Calendar is nice. I fly at least once per month, so the subscription is worth it for me. The firehose of data the developers are getting from multiple providers has to be paid for, and I want this app to stick around.

Gorgeous user interface & great data. This is my new favorite app. It has the most beautiful maps of any flight tracker I've seen and syncs with TripIt so everything flows in automatically. Though I really loved to manually input flights before because the UI is so good. Sync with TripIt is sometimes intermittant, but it has improved. It also gives me updates faster than the airline does. Weather recently caused crazy, and Flighty alerted me usually 5 minutes before the United app... which gave me a jump on the rest of the crowd in contacting them for alternate flight plans.

Must-Have App for any Frequent Flyer. Hands-down, this is the most useful app if you find yourself flying frequently. The accuracy and speed of the data is remarkable - I often find myself informing airport staff about changes, delays, or even cancellations to my flight a good five minutes before they're aware. This gives you a significant advantage when it comes to rebooking, etc. Combine this with a delightful interface and a wealth of other useful information (like the location of your incoming flight), and you have a winner on your hands.

Great design, inconsistent data. I’ve used Flighty for the last few years as it’s easily the best-designed flight tracking app out there. The layout is intuitive and important information is easily accessible. However, I’ve had quite a few issues with bugs and inaccurate data from the paid features, especially Where’s My Plane. With the high price of a subscription, this desperately needs improvement, especially given that this data is accessible for free on competing apps (albeit with a worse design and ads). I’m not confident things are getting better, either. There hasn’t been any noticeable improvement in the years I’ve been using the app, even when I’ve contacted them about the issues I’m seeing.

Pretty great app, mostly.. I love using this app whenever I travel or whenever I need to track a flight of a friend or family member. I am pretty forgetful, so having the info constantly on my phone keeps me in the know and reminds me when I have to be at the airport to pick someone up. The downside is that most of the features I want is behind a paywall. As a broke 23 yr old, I don’t even want to spend the “meager $4/week”, or a yearly $50, or a one time $250. I do understand it is the world we live in, but it is unfortunate that you have to pay for the only features that make it useful in the first place.

Not practical pricing for infrequent flyers. I agree with the other reviewer. I think this app is great if you fly all the time because you can justify the annual price. But it needs a monthly feature; or pay by flight or something. Especially since “weekly” is a much shorter cadence than most typical trips, so I’d have to buy two weeks of weekly for one trip. $8 a trip, 3 trips a year; that’s $24; half the cost of the annual plan. The weekly plan just doesn’t have a good value proposition for any traveler. I understand they want to push annual subscriptions, but those don’t make sense for an infrequent flyer.

An absolute MUST!!!. I fly often enough to know the more information a passenger can have about their flight, the better. The Flighty app has been such a great “friend” to have alongside of me on my flights (both domestic and international). Often times I get notifications about delays or gate changes related to my flights LONG BEFORE the airline app tells me! Whether an occasional / avid flyer, you’re sure to find something on Flighty that’ll supersede anything a native airline apps can provide!

Not as good as it sounds. The idea of the app is awesome. The UI is very nice as well. But under the hood, there is a lot of room for improvement. Importing flights from the calendar doesn’t work properly. Calendar events with different time zones or flights that arrive the next day are simply ignored an don’t sho up in your flight list. The developer’s support team is not responsive at all. After I reported it first, they were treating me like it was my fold and that i cannot generate the calendar events in the right format. But after I analyzed the bug and explained to them, why it happened and when, they never responded. They took the money for a subscription and now, they don’t care anymore.

Best app to track flights for you and your friends. Well worth the annual subscription, especially if you fly a lot. I typically get notifications faster than the airlines send them for major events like cancellations. The flighty team push valuable updates that doesn’t compromise the very well designed app and user experience. Latest updates for tracking friends and sharing flights makes team and family travel super simple.
