Sounds great. I use it daily when I Bluetooth my iPhone 10 to my BMW X5 SUV. My IPhone 10 pairs up fast and the Equalizer Pro APP is ready to go-I leave the app open. SOUNDS better than the proprietary music app that comes with IPhone 10’s operating system. You have to experiment and experience the nuances in this powerful app until you find your sweet spot. If you don’t like tinkering with apps just play Equalizer Pro as is...you will definitely enjoying it. It plays on my Denon receiver at home and the music coming out of my speakers sound rich and powerful.

Apple CarPlay still not working. The latest update did not solve the CarPlay issues I emailed support about.

Didn’t work. Didn’t work with iPhone music streaming. Poor user interface

Equalizer pro. I can not put all my music front i-Tunes, too many restrictions on many songs. They do not inform one of this restriction

Had to buy this app again. Not happy.. I have used this app for some years but when I went to update it I wasn’t able to because it said it was no longer in the App Store. I had the option to delete or keep. I had paid for the full version so I kept it. Checked out the App Store and it was still there. In order to get it to work, I had to buy it again. Not happy that I’ve had to pay twice. I don’t know if this is the fault of the store or the developers but because I like the app I bought it again. Please fix this bug.

Outruns and Performs. Shreds the Rest. Tried three other WAYoverpriced subscription based equalizer apps, E Pro performance is better, quality of App never crashes. Nice old Sokol look Marantz type on the mini GUI. Thanks mate. Hendrix lives again, as well as Prince.

24 bit 48KHz sounds like white noise!. Please fix the audio issue to play better audio files!

Exactly what I was looking for.. This is a perfect equalizer. Extremely high quality and easy to use. I will say I was hesitant to buy it before trying it. They should probably have a trial period. Anyone who uses it would buy it after the trial was up anyway.

Great application. Had this for about 2 years and loving it. The only problem I have is the play list. The words are too high on the screen and it takes a few times loading it to save. Other than that it’s awesome.

Not sure what to make of this app. I'm not sure if it's my 6year old iPod touch, or the app but this app doesn't work for me. It takes 20 minutes for the app to populate my music and the app has crashed at least twice every time I've attempted to use it.

Problem solved, great app. A great app when it was working. Now, running an iPhone SE 2020 with latest iOS no tracks show up in the app at all - not even music not bought through iTunes but from CDs I own. Problem solved: Sorry to be dumb; this app only recognizes tracks that are downloaded from iCloud to my actual iPhone - not tracks that are streaming from iCloud. This makes sense.

Unusable for iTunes. If you want to use an EQ with music from your iTunes playlist, *don’t* get this. It doesn’t work at all for that purpose - and if there is a way to make it work, that information isn’t provided. Will try to get my money back. Otherwise … $3 for the pleasure of writing this.

The app was deleted from appstore. I have already buy this app few years ago, and now they deleted, jut to put it again in appstore to buy it again. Its a common practice, to make money. The new app is the same like the old one.

Cannot make application work. On an Apple SE phone and app keeps crashing and cannot get it to play music. Bought today, can I get my money back?

SCAP APP. They should tell you that they aren’t in bed with Apple so none of your iTunes can be imported. Don’t be fooled by the “compatible with iPhone” slogan. I will be contacting these developers and getting my money back. I guess it’s shame on me for thinking maybe something you pay for is legit. I’m so sick of doubting the world. I thought for once that I’d pay for an app because I figured I’d maybe get what I truly wanted instead of worrying about in app purchases. Anyway if you get this app and are not happy with it, don’t say I didn’t tell you so.

Sweet. Excellent boost for your iPhone. Really simple and more of my library is listed for playing vs. some other similar apps which only allow certain songs to work within.

Best EQ Around. This app is amazing I once ran my iPod through my motorcycle speakers but since I got this app all my music goes through this app first.

Not so bad.... ...and a lot of these type of players AREN'T so good! Passable player, eq section could be a little less stiff, but I really like the gestures reassignment abilities. You can make your library sound descent, and it's simple enough. Without being a truly Barebones Player! Try it!

Can’t get my music to play on iPhone XR after following all steps. Awaiting a reply from the developers

Not for your iphone. I was looking for a simple app that you download and take existing tracks from your phone and works with what you have. Overly complicated I would not recommend.

Won’t load tracks.. Not intuitive. Can’t find a tutorial anywhere.

Doesn’t play all songs on iTunes playlist. Very frustrating because I bought it based on claims it was compatible with iTunes playlist. However, it will only play about half the songs I downloaded from iTunes. The others are mysteriously omitted

No way to apply it to my music feed. Can’t figure out how to apply this equalizer app to my Pandora feed. Nothing in any of the menus on how to do this simple thing. I even tried emailing the tachyon folks and heard nothing— so it is worthless IMHO!

A Good Replacement. I once had a good EQ before this app, but they don’t understand that if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it They ruined the application and I struggled to find a new good EQ where I had full control over what frequency plays at what level and what pitch, and this app lets me do that again and I love them for that, no updates because it’s perfect the way it is

Booyabiatches. Best equalizer app for your iPhone. Hands down. A lot of them want to charge you way more, or way worse...want to make you pay a monthly subscription. Ugh. This app has none of that. So, enjoy!! ;)

Not working correctly with Apple CarPlay. Unable to play selection from CarPlay but works from phone itself (iPhone 6+ and iPhone 13).

Doesn’t work with Apple Music!. Only works to run music files through player, which is completely obsolete!

Don’t bother with EQ subscription apps!. This is the absolute best EQ app. Don’t bother with the subscription based EQ apps. They are a waste of time and money. Trust me, I fell for it. I dig deeper and found this and for an inexpensive option, it is super high quality. Don’t look at any other EQ app…this is it!

Overall great app. Great app for fine tuning sound in car audio or for extra sound boost on iPhone. If there's anything that I had to gripe about, it would be only two things. First.. no screen rotation. App should rotate when the phone is rotated, second.. the little blue dots used to make fine tuning eq adjustments can be frustrating for someone with wide thumbs, especially the ones on the edge of the screen. Besides that... worth the download. I have a Sony Xplode radio in my truck, which already has multiple sound adjustments, this app helps fine tune even further, ever track sounds amazing, from metal to country to rap, all sound perfect for my taste.

Crap does not work. Put on my iPad and iPhone can’t play songs from Apple Music you can see them but they won’t play

It’s good, but.... The playlist is really too narrow. I feel that it would be easier to navigate on my iPad if it used the full width of the display. The song titles for tracks in a series are cropped and are unidentifiable because they start with the same few words. If the playlist was wider and easier to navigate, I would rate this app higher. Ad out of, the app seems unfinished.

I finally found THE one. This has everything. Reads my iTunes library and gets the correct album covers. You can set a lot of gestures as YOU like them, like volume up and down, set how far ff and rewind, 20 or 15 or 60 seconds or whatever, great equalizer. Really customizable. I have downloaded a lot and paid for a lot but wow this is wonderful! I tried to give a review from the app and iTunes told me this is not available in my country (?)

Ok but.... I miss Poweramp but this came close especially with the custom EQ settings for each track because some songs are studio and some are live recordings. Now if the developer can only include Crossfade between songs in the next version.

Pointless if you want an EQ. This app is a player first and an EQ second (well about 9th actually). I have no idea how well the EQ functions, as every time I tried to turn it on, the it stopped the app I wanted to equalize in favour of its own player. It doesn’t seem to work with any other app, but you have to buy it to find that out. And why do none of these EQ apps have a Dpoken Word preset for podcasts and audiobooks.? If you want a player with EQ, this might be for you. If you’re looking for an equalizer, don’t bother.

Stopped playing my tracks unexpectedly without reason. Worked fine for like week then stopped. Now any track I add it says track load failed. Was using this to listen to my own personal recordings I have in my files app on my iPhone and now it’s useless

What a scam. It does not work with your Itunes music. There are no intelligible instructions.

Waist Of Money. Constantly crashes. Doesn’t play the song that I’ve selected. Would give it zero stars if allowed. Using an iPhone XS. Latest update.

THE Player!. 06-10-21 Question: Do you plan to make this app M1 compatible (run on M1 Mac computers)? If yes, do you have a time frame for the update? 01-21-21 Update: Shuffle mode/info that is saved and restored between sessions is a very big deal for me. Now I can hear all my songs in my collection. Thank you again for such a wonderful app. You may consider adding a tip jar option. I would gladly give you a tip from time to time as this app really adds to my music listening enjoyment on a daily basis. Update: Still the one...music from 128 mp3 to 32 bit HiRez...handles everything flawlessly...put in shuffle or pick an artist, a word like “love”, “you” etc. and enjoy. Note: updating my iPhone SE to iOS 14 broke the app in that there was distortion over Bluetooth...played fine over the iPhone’s speaker. This app had no update issues with any of my other iOS devices so appears just an issue with the iPhone SE. A simple app delete and app reload solved the problem. Thank you for a wonderful app that at my age and lifetime collection of music, I can enjoy it with the lightest of touches and not have to endure Apple’s corporate heavy-handed music playing experience... .................... I have used this Player for you 3 plus years. With over 60 gig of music, everything from 128 to 192 hi Rez...and 30+ personal play lists, photo has never given type me a bit of trouble. Just does what is says it does. No muss, no fuss. Worth every penny. Thank you!y

Avoid. It’s called Equalizer Pro + but it has no equalizer. Just buttons e.g. “high” or “extreme” …wtf?! Just a scam - don’t fall for it.

Sadly Apple seems to have broken this great app.. I have had this App for years. It was my way of playing FLAC files on my iPhone. With the end of the old iTunes on the PC the App Document transfer tab is gone. I will try to setup the server option but I have never had any success with it. Darn :( 1/25/2020: The server option works great, better than iTunes did, and with this in use I no longer need iTunes on my PC bye bye, love the dark mode. Keep up the improvements.

Pretty Good. Audio sound quality seems the same or better—-without scientific testing—-to native iOS “Music” app and the much-vaunted ‘Equalizer’ app. This includes playback through a large home stereo system as well as Bluetooth speakers. The user interface, while not 100% perfect, is superior to both of those apps also. Small complaint: I still haven’t figured out how to eliminate the idiot ‘visualizer’ thing that shows when playing a track.If your tracks are DRM, don’t buy it. Otherwise, ignore the fools that bought DRM music and now complain that “this app won’t play my songs”. They’re right...it won’t. Recommended with reservations…the big one being: how much longer will this app keep working as iOS evolves?

I just bought this app and I want a refund!. I listen to music through the YouTubeRED app. I don’t use Spotify or iTunes . I bought this app thinking it would work with any Bluetooth speakers regardless of what app the music comes from. Well it doesn’t. I had an app on my old galaxy that worked with YouTube. Why can’t I find one for apple that does?

Version 2.4.5. I was in need of a music app to replace an app that was no longer being maintained or supported. The replacement app must satisfy three requirements: 1. Provide a clean, simple interface to a large iPod music library. 2. Include an integrated equalizer that allows for fine tuning music to my preferences. Providing an equalizer that restricts EQ settings to a limited set of presets is not sufficient. 3. The app must NOT be SUBSCRIPTION based. Equalizer Pro + appeared to satisfy all my requirements so I invested $3 and downloaded version 2.4.3 of the app. Initially, I was disappointed in the functionality and performance of the app, specifically the user interface, the extraordinary amount of time it took to load a relatively large iPod library (800 albums, 12,000 songs), no ability to display and select albums by ‘Album Artist’, and problems adding songs to playlists from multiple albums and lists. In addition, I noticed that occasionally all songs from a selected album were not included in the playlist and songs in the playlist were sometimes skipped over and not played. ‘Recent’ user reviews either gave the app 5 stars or 1 star. There were very few average ratings. I also noticed that I was experiencing many of the same issues and problems that were described in the 1-star reviews. If I had read the ‘Recent’ reviews prior to purchasing the app, I probably would not have purchased it. I contacted the developer who was VERY responsive, receptive and appreciative of any comments and suggestions. He worked closely with me to address the problems and to implement new functionality where needed. Version 2.4.5 provides a major improvement to the functionality and usability of the app and integrates very nicely with large iPod libraries. I strongly encourage anyone who was dissatisfied with an earlier version of the app to download this version and give it another try. I’m positive you will find the app to be much more reliable, usable, efficient and intuitive. If you are uncertain about purchasing the app, I highly recommend that you give it a try. The app is very much worth the price for the functionality, performance and sound quality it provides. You will not regret it.

Useless. Can’t play music from iPhone library

App Doesn’t Work With Spotify. I was hoping that the equalizer would work with Spotify, but it only works with iTunes. For me, it was a waste of time and money.

Great music player/equalizer and wonderful developer.. I was looking replacement app for the Apple Music player that comes standard with the iPhone because it lacks a good equalizer and has limited fast forward/reverse capabilities. I wanted a standalone app, a one time fee, non subscription model and some sign that the app was still alive, cared about and being updated. After trying a handful of other apps, I settled on Equalizer Pro as it ticked of most of my criteria. Fast forward/reverse: I listen to a lot of long mixes.. tracks that are 1-3 or more hours each and the tiny scrub bar in Apple makes it difficult to move in small increments through these types of tracks. At some point Apple removed the ability to hold down the forward or back buttons to FF or Reverse and (currently) using either of these buttons just throws you to the last or next track. EQ pro rocks this part by having a lot of customizable finger/swipe gestures.. you can set the FF or Rev to whatever increment you want (10 seconds, 1800 etc). Equalizer: Although you can leave Apple Music player and go to your settings to adjust the player to a different style of music, doing so takes a fair amount of seeking outside the app and once you find the “equalizer” settings for the Apple Music player, you have only generalized choices (acoustic, Jazz, flat, etc). When every long track or regular song/album you have has a different sound/recording quality, leaving the app more than once gets annoying especially while driving. Crushing the Apple Music player, Equalizer Pro has an in app set of general choices you can tap but also allows you to make much more specific adjustments to fit whatever you are listening to it on (speakers, headphones, tv etc). The developer is definitely responsive and cares about the app. I mentioned that the titles are small and sometimes hard to read while driving. A few days later the app had a new feature to enlarge the font as well as a couple new default album covers (which are great for long mixes that come with no covers.. this makes the title much larger and easier to know which mix you are on right away). If you are having some of the same issues I have with the Apple Music player, EQ pro is a great alternative for a reasonable fee.
