Froggipedia App Reviews
Froggipedia App Description & Overview
What is froggipedia app? Froggipedia, an engaging, interactive, powerful constructive learning Apple AR which helps explore and discover the unique life cycle and intricate anatomical details of a frog.
It is a sterling example of how AR technology has moved leaps and bounds.
The app provides an immersive and engaging experience which elaborates on each phase of the life cycle of a little amphibian called the frog.
Froggipedia helps us to observe the life cycle of a frog, such as how it turns from a single celled egg in water to a tadpole which in turn metamorphoses into a froglet and eventually a full grown frog. We can further dissect and observe the complex structure of its various organ systems right on our iOS devices using an Apple pencil or your finger.
Thus we get best of both worlds as we get to successfully observe and learn about the structure of a frog and yet cause no harm to life. A fun quiz in the end helps in absorbing the knowledge gained through this innovative app called Froggipedia.
Froggipedia has been awarded "iPad App of the Year" 2018 and is now available in the following languages: Japanese, Chinese Traditional, Chinese Simplified, Korean, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Latin Spanish.

Frogggggggs plz make desert rain frog 🐸. Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep
Love This. I don’t understand the negative reviews; what exactly do you expect? When I taught fifth grade science, one of our objectives was organism development. This included direct development (like humans), complete metamorphosis (like butterflies), and incomplete metamorphosis (like frogs). I had dragonfly larvae, chicken eggs in an incubator, and, of course, tadpoles. We watched every organism change. My students were always asking “can we dissect something, please.” This app would have been a perfect substitution for an actual dissection. Teachers out there — load it onto a few iPads to use during stations. Please keep adding features and upgrading your app. Love this.
More species!. Please, please, please add additional reference material for the plethora of different species, including the various phenotypes that can be observed—all via glorious AR. Also, please gimme gimme a 3d-view of a male frog calling a mate, perhaps the single-most iconic behavior of a stereotypical frog, with an analysis of the systems involved. Please also include basic reference about contractile units (sarcomeres) that allow such amazing jump distances and such fast/accurate/ranged tongue strikes. There’s already an abundance of reference in the app’s material for a solid introduction. Please use the influx from the “App of the Year 2018” earnings-surge towards creating a truly definitive frog guide. High five!
This needed to exist when I was young!!. This needed to exist when I was young and in school! I have a 6 year old now and watching her eyes when she can see and interact with the frog is amazing! She is learning so much and I am even picking up stuff I forgot as well! A great interactive way for you to spend time with kids and interact in a way you could never do before! This developer has really put in the work to make it look great and run super smooth
Good app. Really good app! I’m waiting for new :)
Ummmmm.... I just downloaded the app and it has been loading for a long time, about 10 minutes so I haven’t actually experienced the game yet but...I’ll write another review once it downloads
Really cool but needs an update.. Could you please update this to be used on the Xs Max. The notch is cutting out some of the information. Otherwise very nice.
Love this app but.... I purchased this app for my 8 year old son because he had learned about the life cycle of frogs before and I thought this would be a great addition to reinforce the lesson that his previous teacher gave on the subject. He loved it so much that when my kindergarten class started doing the frog life cycle I bought my iPad in so I could work with small groups and give everyone a chance to try it and they all gave it two thumbs up. My only problem is that when you used it in AR mode or Life Cycle mode there was no option to turn on a feature that would label the parts. Now I am in the App Store and this app is listed under new ways to learn math and in that mini clip they show that in AR mode you can have all the parts labeled I go back to check mine and still no and not showing me that there are any updates available either. Please add this feature in an upcoming update for both life cycle and ar mode with the ability to turn labeling on and off. Other than that so far no complaints great app.
Fwub. I like learning about frogs
Shallow contents.. Pretty disappointed that it’s shallow on its contents.
Cool, but meh. Needs to be more responsive. It’s pretty boring. It’s more like clicking through slides.
Love that it’s available. Purchased to support. Keep up the good work & hope to see more apps like this one! Purchased for my 8 year old who learned the life cycle of frog in school this year. I think this app has the potential to be a hit for 2nd grade classrooms. We enjoyed going through this app together. I liked the simplicity, but noticed room for improvement just going through it with my child. -more details into the organs maybe with examples of function, where they connect etc. For example my son was completely lost on what the red and blue meant. He had questions about everything. -I’d offer a pop up over the bigger words with smaller words for children to understand to learn the bigger words. I went through it with my child so was able to explain, but it took away from the app to have him to learn words on the side instead of words and body parts he already knew. -my child asked about the frog. It would be neat if you added a frog detailed description somewhere within the app because I guess they didn’t learn this in school either? I don’t know why because if you are going to learn the life cycle of something you should at least be learning the basics about the creature too right? His questions were Where they lay eggs, how long their tongues are, how many eggs they lay, how long do frogs live, do frogs have the same body parts as us, do frogs have toes, do frogs smell things, what is algae, what happens to the tail, where the legs come from, are they born with hearts, do they see color, do frogs have teeth, how big the eggs are, why the frog skin is bumpy, is a frog the same as a toad Just to list a few of his questions. Hope this input helps a little.
Great app. Great app, saves a frog
One quiz with One preset dissection. This description is very misleading. The app offers one quiz with eight preloaded organs to remove. The dissections are also preloaded and do not offer any variety—it is useful once and that is it. There is also no way to make mistakes while performing the point and click dissection. People learn from mistakes. The virtual frog is fun for two seconds and then pointless. There is also no pressure sensitivity, as was advertised. I will be requesting a refund.
Shallow. Apps not ready yet, I’ll keep it in hopes of a better update, more info, tongue trick, audio descriptions, better & more dissection. Why do they call this AR it would be much better if we had 360 degree 3D control that way hovering / selecting would be easier, I should have read the comments.
Poor features, gimmicky. Spent money on this because the Apple Editors touted this apps ability to virtually “dissect a frog.” It’s super gimmicky, and has no real user input besides dragging your finger across the screen.
It’s a frog. First impression is great. After you dissect the frog (takes 2-5 min), you’re done. Downloaded, dissected, showed a friend, deleted from my iPad. Maybe one day.
Great app !. This is a great app for Learning with visual details and provides perfect learning aids for younger children to learn about dissection without messing with forceps !
Voice. This app would be amazing for my kids if there was a way to have the contents read out load when looking at different areas of the frog.
bad. very disappointed , the app makes it look like you can get enough but honestly what the app offer does not deserve 3,99$ at all
Like a real frog. Gotta hand it to these folks. That frog looks very real!
A totally fun app for dissecting a frog.. It would be nice to see the mouse version involving much greater depth and including a genetics variation simulation. Thanks
helpful and interesting. i love herpetology and there’s no shortage of frogs in the world, so i decided i want to learn about the internal structures of a frog. this app does what it says it does, and provides useful information about the anatomy of a frog. admittedly, the contents are a little shallow, but i found the information provided to be useful. i look forward to future improvements of the app. a recommendation i do have is more information on each of the organs and how they function. this app won’t make you a frog expert but i definitely learned from it and i’m happy that i was able to see the inside of a frog without having to kill a real one. 🐸💚
Plz. Add iPad mini 4 compatibility

Love it. So cool 🤩🤩🤩
Despite botching the order a frog’s limb grow in, an otherwise beautifully executed. I’m sure this has already been said, but every other description of a frog’s life cycle you encounter states a frog’s hindlimbs grow first then the forelimbs. The life cycle on this app illustrates hindlimbs first but calls them forelimbs!? You had one simple mission, how can this happen? The beautifully AR enhanced visual experience of sitting through the iconic high school biology exercise of dissecting a frog that our noses will likely never forget is well executed. An IAP that adds closeup zoom level of the anatomy details would be a great way to breath new life into this. Some sounds, videos. So many opportunities for expansion.

Average accuracy. Dissection was disappointing. There are only a few organs available, not including the bladder, gonade and more. Only one sex available and impossible to see any other part (such as the mouth). Kidneys and adrenal gland do not look like they should.
0/10. Can you give me m’y Monney Back?
Waste of money. I couldn’t even download it on an iPad.
