Not great but it’s something. I was an avid user of a competitive product but when Watch support was removed I needed to find another alarm. This app seemed good so I tried it out. Does it wake me up? Yes. That being said it barely functions as a smart alarm. The alarm basically goes off the first minute of the window every morning (deep sleep or not). There is no snooze feature which is frustrating. It also prevents other alarms from sounding in case I don’t wake up from the “smart alarm”. Ultimately I have noticed a clear difference in how I wake up compared to the competitor. I do not feel more refreshed and I feel that throughout the day. That being said the other is not an option so I’m stuck with this for now.

No workie. The title says it all… It simply does not work. I’ve tried it for three weeks straight now, and I’ve never had it alarm on my wrist yet. I followed the directions carefully - simply does not work. Apple Watch 3.

Apple Watch Series 3. This app used to wake me up before the WatchOS 5. Now that I’ve upgraded the software, I set the alarm before I sleep and the very next day, it doesn’t give me a haptic anymore, so it doesn’t wake me up, plus the back-up alarm on the iPhone isn’t working either and it is very frustrating. I check the settings and it says sensors are successful. It’s been 3 months since the last update of this application, which is very outdated. If you want to use this app as your main alarm and keep it reliable, I suggest you don’t update your software, because the more you update, the fact that it’s not going to work it’s charm anymore. Or just use the built-in IOS alarm, which is much more optimized and reliable. Make your smart move by not purchasing these smart alarms as they tend to be unreliable.

I can’t trust it. Doesn’t work may be after update 5.01 on a AW4 but now this program starts and ends on a watch manually only. Alarm does not work

Alarm won’t stop!. Doesn’t make any sense! Despite turning the alarm off (not snooze), the apple watch keeps buzzing when I later swipe to the screen with the alarm complication... every time all the time... even if I even change the alarm time to the future. Waste of money!

Love the idea! Follow through, however.... Got the app and LOVE the display while sleeping. It shows the time and hours remaining until alarm goes off. However, woke up late for work 2 days (I am always early so I worked it out) but I don’t want to have to do that, hence the reason I’m always early. I submitted “feedback reports” I never got response...

Doesn’t work. I bought this app to have the smart alarm on my watch so that I don’t wake up my spouse. Good thing I have set a backup alarm each time because this alarm has yet to actually work for me. I have followed all instructions as given by customer service. Still not working. My requests for a refund have gone unanswered.

Works great. Had a self-inflicted issue but the dev responded within minutes and corrected how I use the app! Thanks!

Stopped working. The app worked fine for awhile. For the last few days, when I try to set the alarm the app crashes and won’t open. If I can finally get it to open, it shows on the watch face that the alarm is set but I don’t get the voice prompt confirmation and the next day, the alarm never went off.

Please Update!!. Was a great app getting me up in my lightest sleep when I was using my Apple Watch S2, but now does not even work on my Apple Watch S4. Please update this app to work again! Update: I was able to talk with the developer on this app and they are very responsive and helpful! They allowed the app to now work on my new watch with WatchOS6. They have been able to work and fix out things on this app that allowed me to continue using this alarm as my number one go to for getting me up.

Great alarm clock. Does it job well, pick my lightest sleep cycle, it feels so good to be woken up like this.

Alarm clock for my watch. So happy I found a smart alarm for my watch, I have searched a long time ever since I got my Apple Watch, this seems to be the only one that works. I do not understand why Apple does not have this built in, the watch is on your wrist, so it is perfectly suited to track your sleep stages, and wake you up when it needs to. Other wearable devices seem all have this capability, but not Apple Watch. Enough complaints about Apple Watch, let me tell you about this app. It has a super simple design: it only does two thing, bedtime alert and natural sleep cycle alarm. I like the bedtime alert, it keeps you in a regular schedule, but there is nothing earth shattering about it, except it makes it really easy to set up the alarm. If you answer the bedtime alert from watch, you can one tap set the alarm. Regarding the alarm, you specify a 30 minutes window, and the watch picks a good time to wake up when you are sort of awake. This works great, I especially like the gentle vibration instead of a loud sound, it makes waking up so much more pleasant. It seems the phone has to be nearby for this to work, so that is a caveat, but other than that, no complaints from me. Glad I got the app.

Lie!. It does NOT wake you up during lightest sleep. It always wakes you up at the end of your fixed time period.

Just doesn’t work. I wanted this to work so bad. It sounded perfect. I don’t need fancy sleep analysis, just a smart alarm that uses data from my watch on movements and heart rate to wake me in the best sleep stage. Sadly just does not work. The app on the watch allows one to set a time, but the button says “wait” and nothing happens when you tap the button. Setting a time there and hoping for the best does result in a haptic alarm in the morning but not in the as advertised up to 30 mins before the set time. Seemed to occur at random times often long before the set time. No data showed on the data screen in the app on the phone in spite of me allowing it full access to everything. No way to trouble shoot. No way to see or set the alarm on the phone. Sent an email to developers and no response. So I have deleted the app. How do I get my $3 back for this failure? Sigh. I hope they improve this app and make it actually work because it seems to be the only one that claimed to do what I want. Wish it did.

Works Great. I been using this app for a while and really like the simplicity. Update: App have been updated to support WatchOS6 and now is really stable unlike the other app I used

Glitchy out the gate. Downloaded the app, can’t set the alarm. The button is grayed out and says “wait”. No support or help available.

Sleep Cycle alarm. This is a great sleep cycle alarm, it even wakes you up with haptics, so my wife can keep sleeping. Get it, thank me later.

Can’t set time on the watch. Paid for the app, but on my first time use, watch app throws error when I set alarm. $s went down in drain.

Will not work. I have a series 6 watch, and this will not work properly. For each setting of the alarm thus far, I’ve been woken up within the first minute of the wake period, often being startled out of a dream. This morning, I was awake during my wake period, and the alarm did not go off. Series 6 should offer precise wake times for this app. I have had no success and am utterly disappointed.

No Longer Works. This app was working quite well on my old Apple Watch Series 2. As soon as I upgraded to a new Series 4 watch, the app won't work. I keep sending logs in to the SmartAlarm team and I get no response and the app hasn't been fixed. This has been going on for months now.

Doesn’t work. I want to be woken up in my lightest phase of sleep. I set my alarm to wake me up between 9:15 - 9:45am. It always automatically wakes me up at 9:45. I even started to wake up naturally around 9:20 and was moving around and looked at the clock, and still the alarm did not go off. This app DOES NOT WORK!!!

Latest Update. Smart Alarm didn’t work on Apple Watch 4. Since todays update Smart Alarm doesn’t work, and, the complications are completely missing I’m going to request a refund if I cannot use this app

Wakes me up at the start of the interval every time. I track my sleep cycle with the app AutoSleep and I noticed that this app will wake me up at the beginning of the time slot that I set no matter what cycle of sleep I am in. If I set the interval to 6:30-7:00 it will go off at 6:30. A few morning I was in very light sleep, and a few mornings I was in deep sleep. I am beginning to doubt this app is tracking your sleep at all.

Doesn’t do what it says. Says it would wake you up up to 30 minutes before but doesn’t work, or at least not in do not disturb mode.

Non existant support. Downloaded but no watch app. Tried to contact customer service but only get error messages. Very annoyed

Doesn’t work, no ability to contact developer.... This app simply doesn’t work. Stopped working in November. When you go to app support it takes you to the developers support page which makes you enter the app/product, of which this app is not listed. I submitted for another app in the hopes they would monitor and see the issue. Nope. Months later and no response and no updates in the App Store. Just more folks without even developer acknowledgment or attempts to resolve. Also surprised Apple isn’t using some pattern analysis to see the recent comments that they have an app in the App Store likely violating there terms...

It says it’s for your watch but it doesn’t even download a watch app. Took my money and gave me a useless iPhone app that says use the alarm on your watch. But there’s no app on the watch.

The buzzing problem had been fixed. The problem below has gone away. --------- I'm having the same problem as other reviewers. Whenever I swipe to the face with the Smart Alarm feature, my watch starts vibrating! This is regardless of whether I have set the alarm or not. I had to stop using the App. I have submitted a ticket with the company and will change my review if this bug is fixed.

Not happy. I finally got an iWatch and was looking forward to having a haptic alarm on my wrist to wake me up, without waking my wife up as an audible alarm always does. I’ve followed all the instructions in detail and never once have I been awakened by this app. Maybe there is some troubleshooting to be done with the developer, but the only means of contacting is via a log that originates from the iWatch, and is said to reside on the iPhone, where it can then be emailed. When I hard press the iWatch to generate the log, nothing happens on either my iWatch or iPhone. So I am complaining here in hopes that there is a solution. The only thing I have considered is that instead of a repeated haptic vibration, the app produces only one single pulse within the half hour alarm window. I can’t imagine waking up from one single iWatch pulse. Wouldn’t it make sense for it to vibrate until the wearer truly woke up, as indicated from the wearer getting out of bed and moving around, which the iWatch is clearly capable of detecting?

Doesn’t detect date, no in app support contact.. Doesn’t detect data. Have followed all directions. Watch and phone updated. When I try to send the error log to support from my watch, I am instructed to finish the process on my phone. When I look on my phone in the app, it tells me to go to my watch. Frustrating.

Best Apple Watch Smart Alarm app. This is the best smart alarm app I find so far in the apple watch app store. Very reliable compare to Autowake which I used before. Best of all is I can even use it in Airplane mode and I don’t have to have watch complication on my watch face for it to work like the other app. I have Series 1 Apple Watch. Strongly recommended!

Can’t figure out how to use. You have to create a complication to use. I have no idea what this is or how to do it. Not a user friendly app at all.

It should be ILLEGAL to have this broken $3 app in the App Store. NOTHING WORKS: The watch alarm never goes off, neither tapping nor the backup sound alarm on phone. I’ve never gotten a bedtime reminder. It should be ILLEGAL to have this app in the App Store, collecting people’s money when they get ZERO functionality from it! I want my money back.

Cannot add alarm as complication. The app was installed but dies not show up as an option to be selected for watch face. Without being a complication, the alarm cannot be set.

Wish I could get a refund. I was very excited to use this app. I followed the instructions and set it to wake me between 5:55 and 6:25. Around 7 am my husbands alarm went off. Gee thanks for making me late. Zero stars if possible.

The app fails in Airplane and Theater modes. I usually put my phone and watch into airplane mode during night. Moreover, I put my watch into theater mode. And half of the times SmartAlarm fails to do any haptics. Also sometimes I got a message on my Watch that “SmartAlarm was running in a background, but failed. Would you like to disable the app from running in background”. I am using the latest WatchOS. Also after the last update to WatchOS 6.0.1 the app language turned to something non-Latin. Please make this app usable.

Works not good enough. I had to delete this app because alarm works every time, every day, every night. I can’t dismiss it. BTW first time it worked, but didn’t woke me up on time. Sometimes it didn’t work and I woke up via native iPhone’s alarm clock.

Didn’t work. I was looking for something that would work like sleep cycle but on my Apple Watch as a silent alarm. Didn’t work. Tried two nights in a row... alarm was set but never went off.

Does NOT work. I downloaded this app hoping it would help but it won’t even let me set an alarm at all!!! Do not download it is not worth it.

No longer working + developer no longer updating. The app doesn't not learn your sleeping patterns, which is annoying. Even after altering the sensitivity settings, it still just wakes you up at the beginning of the alarm window. So the dynamic wake time does not actually work for this app. Moreover the alarm can be turned off by a very very light touch, such as your wrist grazing the sheets. As a result many mornings the alarm isn't even effective because it's turned off in 1 second. The developer had said he'd make improvements a while ago, but has not actually done so.

Doesn’t even open on watch. This seemed like a well rated app and I wanted to try a smart alarm. After paying for it and downloading it, the app won’t even show up on my watch or in my watch app on my phone. I did basic troubleshooting and made sure my iOS was up to date, still nothing. And you can’t contact help without having the app on your watch, so that’s helpful.... I want my money back.

Alarm no longer works. This used to work fine. Since the beginning of November the alarm no longer wakes me at the time set. Additionally, there is supposed to be an audible notification that the alarm is turned on, but that no longer works either. Most frustrating is that I have sent a log to the developer everyday that I have had this problem and I have not received a response. Not even a simple reply saying that they are looking into the problem.

not writing anything to the Health app. It looks like Smart Alarm Clock for Watch is not writing anything to the Health app. I’ve used it for 2 nights now, and it’s waking me up as expected, but shouldn’t it be submitting data to the Health app? All permissions appear to be on as well as “background app refresh”. I do use “do not disturb” and “theater” modes on my Watch when sleeping, but that seems to be almost standard. Is it not supposed to write any data?

Not good. There is no auto controls. You have to set the alarm every night. Inconvenience. I wish I hadn't bought it.

I’ve used it two days, won’t use it a third.. I’ve used this app for the last two days. I will NOT be using it a third day. It’s supposed to wake you in your lightest sleep cycle. Both days it has woken me in the middle of a dream (the hardest time to wake). I had no idea it was going to talk when I set and turned off the alarm, disturbing others around me. This morning I was awoken not by the alarm, but by someone telling me to answer my phone. The alarm went off on my phone, even thought it was less than three feet from my watch. Once I turned it off, my watch started going off every five minutes continuing to disturb a dream, causing the app that tracks my sleep to say I was awake when I was actually asleep. I’m not sure what this app is supposed to do, but it’s not doing it for me. It’s not silent. It doesn’t wake me in the lightest sleep, but the deepest. There is no reason for me to keep using this app. The last two days have been the worst mornings I’ve had since I was an over trained teenager. I’m done. I’m just sorry I spent money on this madness. There are so many other places that money could have gone where it actually would have been useful.

Simply doesn’t work. I’ve been trying this app on my apple watch for about three weeks now, turning it on every single night. The app has yet to manage to wake me a single time. All I get is a small vibration on my wrist, not sure who’s supposed to wake up from this. Definitely wasted my money on this one.

Not as promised.. The alarm works, but not as promised. It sets up a 30 minute time window, but it either goes off at the beginning or at the end of the window — never in the middle. You wake up no better than if you had used a regular, set alarm. This sounds like a bug, and I reached out to the developer, but they have been unresponsive. Unless this is fixed, I don’t think you should have to pay for it. The best alternative to this is AutoWake. It does a much better job of intelligently waking you up.

Don’t Purchase!. Worked for a month and now won’t work or install again back onto my watch. It deleted itself somehow. I re installed the app, still nothing. Trying to contact customer support but requires me to force touch the app which is not possible when it won’t even load. Don’t waste your money.

Alarm did not work 2 weeks after installing. Previous reviews are accurate, alarm failed to work only after 2 weeks. For a paid app, unacceptable.
