Brigit: Fast Cash Advance Comments & Reviews 2024

💸 Want to send money abroad for free?

We transfer money over €4 billion every month. We enable individual and business accounts to save 4 million Euros on bank transfer fees. Want to send free money abroad or transfer money abroad for free? Free international money transfer!

Baits with 250/Offers Way Less/Cost 10/mo.. This app, like many others, targets people who are in desperate situations under the guise of providing assistance. Luring people in with an idea that you might get $250 cash with no interest. This simple fact is, very few people qualify for $250. And while there may not be a fee tied DIRECTLY to an advance transaction, you DO have to subscribe to a 9.99/mo plan to access it. (On a typical $50 advance that comes out to 20% interest) In addition they base everything off of ONE debit card/bank account. And then post dire warnings suggesting you are spending more than you are making which are meant to scare people into paying the $10 monthly fee (for a tiny amount of money). It puts you behind the next month and reliant on doing it again and they collect another months fee. In all likelihood, many who finally claw out of that pit don’t even think to cancel it, and only notice when they see it collected again - maybe multiple months (I’m willing to bet Brigit cuts ALL promo emails down to almost nothing to stay out of site and out of mind during those times in hopes of collecting that fee as long as possible) I do realize there are many situations where people have no choice. But this particular fee is extremely high so keep looking at the very least.

Connectivity issues - Ongoing for several Months!. This is to the developer - I had many of your staff members for several months now that most of the banks you have listed to connect to are having major issues connecting. Last time I used this app was months ago and the staff kept saying the same thing stating that they will work it out with the third party (Plaid). Well I spoke to Plaid personally and they stated they did not receive any logs from Brigit regarding this connectivity issue(s) Brigit is having. This is a serious matter to your customers who once enjoyed this app for about two - three months and everything went down hill. Please be upfront with your customers. What is really going on with the connection between Brigit system and with other banks. I use capital one and when I tried to switch my bank account to Citibank, that was an issue too and also with Chase. The banks have absolutely nothing to do with Brigit’s connection. I suggest you please kindly work this through if you want to continue to have a successful app business. To be honest, I would have to possibly close my account (finally) with Brigit as you still have ALL of my personal information stored in your system which is not good. I’m speaking up for the majority who’s having this issue with you, not just for myself. Thank you

Unethical business practices. I had a great experience using the advance feature for a few years now. About a month ago out of nowhere, their system tells me that it cannot detect my income and I’m not longer eligible for advances for that reason. I’ve received the exact paycheck, at the same frequency, from the same employer for a year, so it didn’t make any sense. I reached out to customer service for support, and not only did they do nothing to fix the issue, they also did not provide an explanation for the issue occurring in the first place. After all of that, I simply asked of the $10 subscription fee for their service to be refunded since the main purpose I had it for was no longer working, and the answer was also no. I then asked why they discontinued my access to the plus plan while also refusing the refund, since according to the terms on their own website, that fee is for services of the subsequent month and not the previous. Again, no reason was given. Here’s the thing, $10 is arguably not significant. But it’s really unethical to revoke the service I paid for when it’s a direct violation of your own policy. There are so many other companies that offer the same services, so my recommendation is to avoid this shady company at all costs.

brigit hates animals.... i have used brigit for 2 years now and i have had some problems processing payments and being overcharged. fair enough considering it is a loaning app and they don't have to be loaning anyone anything. ok.. however my dog recently died and he was my seeing eye dog. i have had him for 13 years and he was my only friend and companion. as a result i have been moarning and haven't been able to go to work. i contacted support asking if i could have an extra 2 days paying back my loan because i was trying to catch up on all the bills i have piling up. i told them why i haven't been working and i was told "your dog is not our concern. our business runs on money, not animals. please pay the money on time to avoid any issues with your account" i told the agent i simply needed the dog to guide me at my job and he died so could i have some slack.. i was then told "maybe you shouldn't rely on animals to run your life" in the 78 years i have been on earth i have never been more sad and disappointed by todays corporate world.. i will no longer be using this app and i will stop relying on animals to run my life.. my lawyer and PETA will be thrilled about this. Earnin clearly hates people and more importantly animals.

Worked good until it mattered. App worked good the first few test transfers I did, so thought “ok great, I’ll even pay the $9.99 a month ongoing for the convenience”. Well, toward the end of the month I had an automatic annual renewal for a subscription I completely forgot about which put me short for another ACH payment. Thought ok, good thing I am paying for this app, well, I go to have money transferred and I am told “you do not qualify at this time. We check every day to see if you qualify”. So not only was I thrown off by that, I also got double whammied with fees because suddenly I wasn’t qualified for something I already used twice. The app apparently could not find the direct deposits I’ve gotten on the last business day of each month for the past 7+ years from the exact same company in my bank account. Not sure how it did the first few times I used it, but I double checked and sure enough the app worked and transferred money and took it back. Also not sure if this is some bait and switch thing where after you subscribe the criteria suddenly changes, but it certainly leaves a bad taste in your mouth after experiencing what I did. I’d say go ahead and get it, the monitoring with the subscription is nice, but certainly do not expect it to be reliable if you need a little money in a hurry, because I got screwed having that expectation.

Keeps taking money after canceling. This app started out ok but as soon as it started charging me I figured it wasn’t worth it. The cancellation process is impossible. I went on my laptop to cancel it and it wouldn’t let me so I decided to switch to the free version and just delete the app. I also changed my debit card at that time. Maybe 4 months later each month they kept telling me to make a payment so I can keep my account but I changed to the free one so I was confused to why they were giving me this notification. So after 4 months I see a charge on my account for $9 from Brigit which was crazy because I deleted the app, I switch to the free one because I couldn’t delete my account completely and then I changed my debit card info and still some how they go money out of my bank. And actually I noticed they did it last month as well! This app try’s to sneak money out your account without notifying you. I went to customer service for help to get a refund for those 2 months and to delete my account permanently and it’s been a week or 2 and no response so now I have to try and see if I can dispute this to my bank and see if they can some how block that account from ever taking money out of my bank account again. Lesson learned if you don’t have the money you don’t have the money! Don’t use this app and TRUST THE ONE STAR REVIEWS.

Brigit Customer Service Will Ghost You. Contacted customer support a few times to get my refund back. The first two times an agent responded and wasn’t helpful at all. Didn’t answer my questions and couldn’t help me verify myself to get an advance. (btw u have to sign up for the premium service (9.99 monthly) to get the advance which is totally reasonable IF AND WHEN you actually get an advance.) I told them that I was only getting a refund to prevent my account from bouncing and collecting overdraft charges. a subscription I had forgotten about was pending. So u have to sign up for the 9.99 service before you know if A) u will actually get enough advance to cover what u need and B) how long will it take to verify yr identity/banking card etc. (there’s no manual verification ie meaning you can’t email them documents to prove it. You have to wait for a mysterious automated system to do it. Well no surprise my account bounces and an overdraft fee is put on. So I contact the company telling them I don’t need the service and try to get clarity on whether if I cancel or not I’ll get a refund or will it go to the right place. Or will I just pay a ten dollar fee for no reason. They send me a robotic automated here’s how to cancel which Is something I could have searched and already know but is not the question. They have no customer service number. And after approx six emails I’m still being charged.

Higher Advances? Don’t use this app use Dave or Earnin. For many months I had a much higher advance from Brigit, never late repayment automatically on EVERY paydate with no problems, all of a sudden for no reason my advance was lowered to a measly $90, and i want to know why and I’ve asked when will my advance increase only to get some quick response and lame excuse every time about calculating my account activity 🙄( mind you this is the second yr Brigit has done this) Here is my response: Brigit continues to have this same ridiculous response. You haven’t calculated anything based off of my account activity( if you did you would have seen that I’ve earned even more in my “account activity” than previous) and if you had you would have taken time to actually review “my account activity” now and previously yrs before now before sending me a quick reply like Brigit always does. ( even though you knuckleheads are the ones who state in your response that if I wanted a reassessment to just ask and I did and here we are)- you guys haven’t assessed a doggone thing that quickly- you just sent back some ridiculous response so you don’t have to be bothered with customers- 😡 Don’t waste your time w/ Brigit- use Dave or Earnin they are the best at higher advances and customer svc also

APP SEEMS LIKE A SCAM. When i had my credit union attached i had a score of 66 and it said i needed 70 to be eligile for an advance, so the agents at twitter recommended that I attach my main account CHIME where almost 3x of whats deposited into my credit union is deposited. And now Im being given a score of 53 and its saying i need at least a 65 to be eligible?? What a joke and Ive been playing along with it for over a month now : this us unreal.... Ive been told I was approved on numerous occasions, via email and told to re-try ans apply and ive been theyve did something and I should be fine now and to request. Now im just being outright denied and the numbers dont even add up being I had 66 with my credit union and told ineligible now a 53 how is that even possible. I take it as thought Brigit just doesnt want to approve me and after a month of doin this and that... I give up ive never had such a hard time getting payday loan locally in my area. Brigit acts like im trying to loan over $5K ... they can have and keep it, Not going to stress myself out and do not by almeans do not recommend if it has to do with all the drama ive had to go thru to get it

BRIGIT LIED TO ME!!!. Brigit hit me back IMMEDIATELY. And we talked. They were able to close my account for me. There were no penalties for closing early. It shows as paid off and closed account. Now, the only bad thing that I have to say about brigit is that the whole reason I got Brigit was for the cash advance, and I wasn’t “approved” for it until after I canceled my subscription. And also I hate how I had to pay for an extra $9.99 after subscription was over. ***Previosly*** Before I decided to subscribe, I read a lot of negative reviews and I should’ve just listened. I emailed support and asked them would it be a negative impact on my score if I decided to close my account early, and I was told that I wouldn’t. Now, I’m going through hard times and I need to cancel my subscription and close my account, but before I cancel, I was told that I was going to get a harsh impact on my score!!! I am very upset with Brigit. I was lied to!! Had I known that, I would have NEVER signed up. Also, my bank account keeps automatically disconnecting!! I can’t count how many times I had to relink my bank account! I’m having an overall bad experience and I will be contacting support again. I will give an update if anything changes. Until then, do not do it people 🚩🚩🚩

BEWARE. 1st and foremost when I signed up for the app it was the last week of December. It informed me that if I signed up during this period (I’m assuming it was a Christmas promotion) that I wouldn’t be charged $10 for December. I got my advanced with no problem BUT they charged me on December 28th $10!!! and have another $10 pending for January. First off why am I being charged for only 2 days left in the month ? BEWARE that there is an option to cancel your subscription but when you go to cancel it prompts you to contact them by email!!! How big of an inconvenience and they take forever to respond. Why do I have to contact y’all via email at that to cancel my subscription if the option is on the app?? I contacted them explaining the issue and told them to cancel my subscription, once I finally got a response the email representative stated that there was never a promo stating that and it’s been a week and a half and my subscription has not been canceled!! Save your self a headache and go to DAVE who only charges $1 for advances.

They took a chance on me.🙏🏾. I am here today because I tried to get on Brigit, and they actually took a chance on me. God bless them. I was down because it’s Christmas time; and as a single mother as far as putting that last bit of extra cash in my teens pockets for Christmas, my options were thin at the moment after bills. So what I did was take a shot, talked to the customer service rep by the name of Lizzie and when she replied it was way faster than I have ever received from any service such as this. Very polite, understanding and helpful. In times like these it is greatly appreciated and worth the membership. The app runs easy so far. I haven’t had any issues accessing the tools presented and they are very quick with the updates on when you are eligible for advances. They also have credit monitoring which is always a plus as well as showing you more sensible ways of handling your finances. Thank you Brigit!! Shouting this from the 2nd floor of my place as I type this. Wow! I really didn’t think they’d see my messaged cry until after Christmas and answer me with a yes while they were at it! Don’t be afraid to contact their customer service to see if you’re eligible if unsure of the qualifications. Give them a shot. Thanks Brigit.

Try MoneyLion or Earnin. One of the worst apps. After the 1st time using them, they restricted my debit without any explanation as to why. They wouldn’t respond with a valid reason either. I’ve also been trying to cancel and was charged twice for the membership in that time and they didn’t respond the second time and finally responded the 3rd. Followed all the instructions to cancel on my own and sent screenshots proving there was no such option on mobile or regular pc. Then they told me they couldn’t find my account after giving them my email. After responding again, they miraculously found it and canceled my account. Never received any sort of refund even though I asked PRIOR to them canceling the account and now the excuse is that they don’t have access to my bank account so they can’t issue a refund. It’s been a headache since I got it. MoneyLion or Earnin are so much better. Edit: Received the same standard reply from this review to reach out to the company. That’s what this post was about. The customer service does nothing. This isn’t unusual and if I had read the reviews beforehand, I definitely would have steered clear.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!. I have used Brigit off and on for a year now! I recently had an issue where I received $250 and was given a 2 week period to pay back. The issues is I’m paid monthly. Immediately I emailed the customer service team to let them know there was an error in my repayment term. The rep told me she corrected it by putting an extension until the first of the month and informed me that now they have this thing where if your repayment date is off, you can request an extension. I was unaware of that but was glad she let me know for future references. In between that time I went out of the country. Well 2 weeks later I checked my account, the money was in pending status to be drafters from my acct and came out anyway and caused me a fee. I emailed the CSR team to let them know what happened and was told that basically, it was my fault because I should have been paying attention to my emails because they tried to warn me that it would happen anyway and they cannot refund me the fee since I notified them the day the funds were repaid. I never received one email saying that the funds were still subject to come out despite the lies told in the email. They DO NOT care about their customers. They operate as if they don’t need our business to be successful. Not to mention this is not my first incident with them. Brigit has lost a customer in me!!!!

SUBSCRIBERS BEWARE. I used the service about 2-3 times and it was okay for the most part. I forgot that I was subscribed to the plus services. I looked at my bank account and found out they had deducted money from my account today for the subscription. I reached out to customer services for a refund for today’s monthly subscription. Hudson and Liszt refused to refund me for services I will not be able to use this month due to me canceling today. I would not recommend, try Earnin or Dave before you try this service. Liszt state’s that the monthly subscription is charged for the “prior” 15 days of the active subscription. Like I said I paid for about 4 month of not using the service. I noticed they charged me on July 31st and I cancelled my services and sent them an email requesting the refund of the pending transaction, but they can’t refund it stating that it is charged to give the ability to request an advance. So I just paid for myself to request an advance in August but since my services are cancelled I won’t be able to request said advance. How does that work and where is that legal? It wasn’t like I was asking for all prior paid months back just this one month charged. Smh so outrageously greedy of a company that preys on people during a pandemic.

I recommend the Earnin’ app instead.. Not worth the subscription fee. I’ve been a member since November and have gotten 2 advances which were paid back on time. I believe I even paid one back early. I found out today that I’m not eligible for instant cash anymore which makes no sense because I’ve paid them back on time, like I said. I decided to cancel my subscription since I can’t use all of the services and because the app seems to have issues with connecting to my back at random times. Not worth the trouble. They make it very difficult to manage your subscription. I decided to go to the free subscription since I only use the app for instant cash and I’m not eligible for that. They’re still apparently going to charge me $9.99 on 2/19. I finally decided to delete my account and it made me go through a series of annoying “are you sure” type of questions before letting me delete my account. Going to call my bank and see if it’s possible to block the charge. I canceled 19 days in advance, not the day before so, I shouldn’t be charged for a service that I’m not able to use. This app ended up costing me more than saving me. I’ve gotten 2 advances which were paid back in full and on time and since I’ve been a member since November, I’ve basically paid them an extra $40 in subscription fees.

Do Not Use This App. I opened my brigit account beginning of July 2023 payed for their subscription of 9.99. Which is valid for 30 days, and was charged on July 7th 2023. I took out a $100 loan which was due on the 20th of July 2023, I payed it off and cancelled my subscription because it did not let me cancel it until it was paid off, only to find out I got charged again 9.99 on august 4th 2023. I tried to dispute it but to start off with there’s no phone number you can call to talk to an actual agent from this company. Only way to communicate with them is through email which is a complete joke because you get a response every 24+ hours. When the agent finally got to me, she said that the first subscription only covers 30 days prior meaning that I’m paying for a subscription for June when I didn’t even have an account. The 2nd subscription charge covered me from July 7th (when I made the account) until August 4th 2023. I emailed her again and so far it’s been 2 days since I’ve gotten a response back. I will probably never use this app again for these reasons. I suggest you guys use apps like Possible and Earnin instead of this crap.

Deactivated for no reason do not use. I’ve used this app for a few months getting advances of 125 never more than that. I was with my old bank for a few years met the income requirement but switched banks 2 months ago. I just got an 80 advance because that’s all they would approve me for due to my new account. Well it was paid back yesterday and this morning I got an email saying my safety net was deactivated due to my account not being 60 days old! But they are still taking their final fee out on the 21st! My account is over 60 days and I have a history with this app why the drop? They are full of it when they state their requirements because I had more money in my account and now I’m going through a lean time and they can see it so they dropped me. Also my credit score recently dropped due to being just 2 days late on a payment. I think these idiots lie and do look at your financial picture. Funny I paid at least 40 in fees and paid back money with no problem. This is all for a lousy 125. Wow who do they think they are dealing with? People in better financial shape don’t need their little loans. I’m insulted and going to make sure they don’t get their “final fee”. Don’t waste your time. They make you give them access to your bank account and this is how they treat people! Horrible app!

THEY WONT LOAN YOU A THING UNLESS YOU PAY THEM!. It says it will loan$250 instantly… yeah well no that’s not really how it works first of all after you do everything it keeps putting up a screen to pay $9.99 for a monthly subscription… I kept wondering why after I would exit the screen I couldn’t get anywhere well turns out in order to use any of the services they are actually advertising you have to pay the $9.99 fee. It would be one thing if in all those big full screen pictures about the app they say “for just $9.99 a month you can get this much money instantly but it doesn’t say anything about that! And not to mention it isn’t $250 that’s why I am not going to pay the $9.99 fee because it says right on the instant cash screen up to $80 instantly wow that’s weird on all the advertisements on this app it says $250 not a Measly $80 so no I won’t be paying $9.99 a month for not even half of what you say you offer in a loan sorry not how that works I probably would’ve still been a customer if they were more upfront and said in all those advertisements that it’s $9.99 for the subscription but nowhere does it say that and to pay that to only be able to get $80 is insane no thanks I will go to another one of the 100s of apps in the AppStore which offer a lot more for a lot less thanks ! 0/0 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE

10/10 recommend.. Brigit was such a helpful and affordable service when I needed it! It has helped me over so many humps! I actually had 4 different loan apps that I rotated between so that I could see which one I liked the most and I believe Brigit to be the best. Some of the others have hidden fees or tricky ways to get extra tips. Brigit doesn’t have that. Keep in mind that your fee is at the end of the month after you have utilized services. If you ever decide to cancel, you will still be charged the $10 fee for that month. I initially gave a bad review because of this but when I got to thinking about it, I felt like that was unfair of me because Brigit has been a wonderful app and resource that I have never had a problem with. When you sign up, you agree to the monthly service fee even if you don’t borrow money. You should pay that through until the agreement is terminated even if you haven’t borrowed for a few months. That’s how business works. I decided not to ask Brigit to waive the fee because it’s fair that I pay for it since it was apart of the agreement I made with them. It’s my responsibility to end the service if I no longer use it. I’m sure that if you wanted a refund and reach out to them, they will listen and consider the refund. So, after considering everything, it’s not fair to give a poor review because of 1 tiny thing that is just the nature of business. Brigit is a great app and I highly recommend!! 10/10 will use in the future when I have a need.

Terrible. For such a small amount of money their system makes it very difficult to use without issues!!!!. Everything from not being able to connect to my account and having to try and connect over 8 times and finally I got it to work and I was able to schedule a advance and I would of brushed off my initial experience but after I requested a loan I was aware I wouldn’t get the money until 11:59pm local time and I got a confirmation it would be in my account by that time. Fast forward to the following day Friday I get a email very late in the afternoon saying now I won’t be receiving the money until next Monday because there is some sort of issue with their system. There is absolutely no number to contact this company and when you email them it says it can take up to 5 days to get back to you. I wish I would of researched this company and read the reviews before signing up how , this company should be ashamed and embarrassed for pretending they are helping people when they are actually causing people over drafts and all kinds of issues with their bank account. Do not use this app unless you want to be very frustrated and disappointed!!!! WARNING don't expect to receive money if you use this app, it will just continue to say pending day after day and you won’t receive anything but frustration and a depleted bank account and no one to talk to at the company they just send robo responses via email!!!

Great until.... I have been using this app for about three months now. In the beginning I thought it was a total lifesaver compared to the other apps out there. Then one day two weeks ago. What was too good to be true, it was too good to be true. I received an email saying that my income was not verifiable. After several six onyx successful attempts to reach administrate my income. I emailed tech-support and a gentleman named Pablo told me it was a bank issue app and site why it would be handled in a couple of days it has been two weeks and I have emailed twice and no one has responded back. I did not want to write a terrible review because In the beginning I really really love the app. Since the past two weeks I have a cure $150 in bank fees and was on able to get my loan back to cover any fees and has now put me in a negative balance and back to square one. I’ve asked them to please correct this and now they won’t even respond back to me. Please be wary and download and use at your own expense. LOL literally

Completely UNRELIABLE! Do not waste your time on this app!. I am not enjoying Brigit due to the fact that I was qualified previously for instant cash, and now for some reason I no longer qualify. It says the reason that I no longer qualify is due to the fact that my bank account has not been over $500 at least three times this month which is a COMPLETE and TOTAL LIE. My account receives at least $1200-$1700 bi-weekly. It’s completely unacceptable that I have been approved for over two months, and then randomly I no longer qualify even though my deposits have remained consistent and is well over the amount needed to qualify. I will discontinue my membership if this continues as I depend on this app for emergencies and it has become EXTREMELY UNRELIABLE. I understand that paying the $9.99 subscription fee does not guarantee you the Instant Cash feature; however, when I have qualified for over two months with absolutely NO changes to my bank account or deposits, then then this app is absolutely NOT WORTH IT. If I could rate ZERO stars, then I would, but unfortunately I am unable to do that...NOT TO MENTION that I have already reached out to their customer service through email (which is the only way to contact them) and have received absolutely no response, explanation, or help regarding this situation. I am completely unsatisfied and have been left with a very poor impression of this app.

Got the money fast!. Between Dave, Brigit, Albert, and my Vara money bank account I can advance a total of $225 from the four! I know it’s not a lot, but it sure helps put when you’re in a pinch! It covered my car insurance last month and this month it covered my phone bill and bought my groceries for the week! I appreciate this service a lot, my credit use to be great but I messed it up with credit cards.. my Wells Fargo credit card had a $5,500 limit along with my other 10 credit cards I now have $15,000 in debt.. so after covid I couldn’t pay them off, resulting in my credit going down to the point of being unable to receive loans or any credit for that matter. So, these apps have been very helpful. They let me borrow enough to help put for the week, but not too much to where I’m unable to pay it back. All of them are on autopay at different intervals, some like Brigit allow an extension. The $9.99 fee isn’t too bad since they all have fees.. if you want instant with the other apps you pay $3-5 for it, with Brigit once you pay the $9.99 monthly subscription fee instant cash is free. So, it evens out and this app in particular allows up to $250 (which is 3-5 times the other apps limits).. I’m only at $50, but hopefully I’ll get up there. It’s not bad if you're in a pinch, try it out for yourself! 😊

Inconvenient. This app takes too long to update. I have emailed multiple times asking why does it take so long update the paid status when the money has already processed. Currently the app said last updated 19 hours ago. Sometimes the app doesn’t update until 2 days later yet the money is taken from my account on the same day I get paid. Also the loan amount is too low for the amounts money deposited into my account. Work on these issues maybe I’ll be worth 5 stars. UPDATE: From 2 stars to 1. I work 2 jobs I get paid every week at one and every other week at the other. I make over $4500 yet the loan amount is only $80.🙄 The app used to process my payment fast and update my status but this past week I’ve been having trouble with the app updating. I repaid my amount on Friday 5/10. I sent an email with a pic of my bank statement showing the money was cleared through my bank. On Wednesday was told the app was having a problem with connectivity with capital one and I had to wait till they’re servers could connect. On Thursday status updated to paid but the option to cash out more money was unavailable but they’re unable to connect to my bank again. App is not worth all the hassle when I’m only getting $80 for 2 days then having to pay it right back. Deleting!!

Scam alert!!!. I was looking at some apps to see how I could get some extra money in these hard times and came across a few I was interested in and Brigit was one of them. I literally only downloaded these apps just to see how they worked and never used any of the features or asked for any advances. I downloaded Brigit on February 9th and I didn’t know at the time but somehow I was signed up automatically for the plus plan subscription which is $10 a month. When I seen my account was charged I contacted customer service for a refund because 1) I didn’t even know I was signed up for a subscription 2) had no use for this app. Customer service rep, Hudson told me that the subscription fee had nothing to do with advances and that I was charged because my account was active for 30 days. Well I created my account on the 9th and was charged the 19th of the same month. 10 days! After I bought that detail to his attention the communications became very short and he still said I wasn’t due a refund with no reasoning behind it. So while people are looking to this app for some extra cash, they’re taking money from people like scammers. Very unprofessional and horrible customer service. Trash app.

Many flaws. Update: still Having these issues and more. Recently they are saying they can’t verify my paycheck when nothing has changed. So they take their money out of my account first thing Friday morning but take 6or more days for it to “clear”on their end. If you’re looking for quick turn away, Brigit is not it. First of all, let me say that I was pretty excited when I initially found this app. The idea is great, and it is quick to verify your info. I’ve used Earnin for a while but decided to try something new since they seemed to be lowering my loan amount for no reason. I was verified within minutes. Awesome. They “sent” me $200. That was Saturday. It’s Tuesday and I still have no money in my account. I get it, it’s a holiday weekend. But that’s a long time to wait when you need the money. I also sent an email Sunday and it’s Tuesday and I still haven’t heard back. Something in place like Earnin has where you can immediately see that money hit your account without waiting 4 days would be great. The idea for the app is great but I’ll likely go back to Earnin simply because I get the money as soon as I need it 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Helpful in time of need!. I have been using the app with success for the last few months. Haven’t had any issue with my account being linked, I use Bank Of America. My only one disappointment is the low amount they give. I get $90 and have been paying on time for a while without issue so it’s only logical to do an account review periodically and offer higher amounts. My paycheck is bi-weekly and i makeover $1,000 every 2 week after taxes but like everyone else living on a 2 week paycheck doesn’t always help especially when all of your bill comes in the beginning of the month and almost all your first paycheck is eaten up. But between Brigit $100 Earnin $150, Dave $95 i make over $350 extra to cover me to my 2nd payday when i use all 3 platform. Basically Brigit helps fill in the gap every 1st week, so it’s kinda like i’m getting paid every week vs. every 2 weeks with my employer. GREAT APP. BTW my original starting amount was $75 but over a 6 weeks period of payback i’m up to $100 every pay cycle

Don’t waste time. Read this then determine. I don’t even write reviews but I wasted my time and would like to keep others from wasting there’s as well. I went through all the steps to verify my direct deposit through my checking account I bank with Chime, this app does have Chime Bank as a selection when selecting who i bank with but after I verify everything. They show me that I met every single requirement which was like 8 things, I literally missed one requirement. Which is that every direct deposit I received every two weeks, even if my total amount deposited into my account every month is greater than $1,500.. it says that EVERY, each deposit I receive has to be $1,500 within itself to be eligible for the loan. This app isn’t like Dave which calculates your spending and gives you the amount they can loan you. No this app will have doing the most thinking all you need to have is a direct deposit checking account set up past 60 days, monthly total deposit of at least $1500 total, 3 accruing deposits from the same company/business/person. But it’s definitely more requirements than that. But if you make $1500 every deposit you get, this is definitely for you.

Walk away and use a different service. There are plenty of cash advance apps out there now, don’t use one with predatory practices that when it encounters an issue with processing repayment will just blindly charge every attached account racking up overdrafts to collect their money as quickly as possible without even trying to reach out to you first to see if perhaps there was an easily fixable way to get that transaction through. Not to mention that when you bring up to their customer services how their system of blind charges with no contact at all has cost you money due to their inability (or more likely lack of care and desire) to put together a better system that serves both the needs of the organization and the customer, that they don’t have the CAPACITY to do anything about it. As if they can’t use your bank statements and accounts THAT THEY ALREADY HAVE ACCESS TO, to compensate for the undue fees that they charged you and because “it’s the banks fees”. Yea, the banks fees that YOU caused to be charged to my account with your blind charging of accounts that have nothing to do with our transactions. They are predatory charlatans masquerading as a company trying to alleviate financial strain. Do yourself a favor and use any other advance app.

Unfortunate.. I’ve had the app for a little over a year with NO issues, that was until today when I logged on to repay my advance. I didn’t make any changes with my account (with brigit or with my bank), it has been the same bank account that was connected this entire time - and after I relayed my advance, there’s suddenly an “issue” with them connecting to my bank and they can no longer connect due to Plaid not being compatible with the bank I have (I’ve emailed and there is no way around this issue). And now, I can’t get into my account at all because it won’t let me go further due to “not having an account on file” - I am not going to another bank to make a new account (and then wait for a few months) just because they’re SUDDENLY having issues. Hopefully they’ll help me through email to deactivate my account because I won’t be using Brigit again. Like I said, no issues at all the past year and all of a sudden it’s an issue. That’s unfortunate. 1/26 update: even though I was told my account was cancelled and closed, I’m now getting emails that I have an “overdue membership payment”. Interesting.

Inconsistent. They have allowed me to advance $50 a few times. I have never not paid them back. Took extra time when offered. Hope I am not being penalized for that. Now I am unable to advance which would be fine but they still expect to charge me $10 for the service when they are denying my usage. I’m trying to cancel now but am being told I will still be charged on the 27th even though I have tried to stress by email I have no further use of their subscription service if they are going to deny my advance. Customer service is nonexistent. They send canned responses making it obvious no one is actually responding to the inquiry at hand. It is not ethical to charge people for a service they are unable to use. If you don’t pay, you can’t advance. If you do pay you might not be able to advance for your own “financial safety” yet they have no issues whatsoever coming to collect that fee. I’m disappointed the most there is no avenue to try to work towards a resolution, like finding out WHY things have switched up. If the fee is charged having my bank reverse it and will look into adverse actions to take against them. You can’t charge for a service you’re unwilling to provide.

Wouldn’t let me cancel. I tried to cancel the subscription and thought I was successful thus deleted the app from my phone only to find I was still being charged a few months later I stopped receiving notifications so I assumed cancelling was successful…. When I contacted support they were incredibly rude claimed that my account was active this no refund was possible. When I explained that I had tried to cancel and thought it had worked she said that wasn’t her problem and the the charges would not be refunded even though clearly a mistake had happened and I had paid $30 for three months of not even having the app on my phone. I asked if there was someone like a manager that could take a look as this is not right and she just said oh I am the manager…. And you don’t get a refund due to your account being active…. I don’t know why she would not help me as clearly I tried to cancel my account and have not used the app at all but this is by far the worst service experience I’ve had and I am on a tight budget . These people make cancelling impossible and steal money from people who are not aware they are being charged.

The Goat 😌. This app is truly a blessing in disguise!!! I’ve used other apps like Dave which is a rip off and never worked but consistently charged me $1 each month for linking my account. I’ve tried to use Earning but it requires too much work on the back end by the subscribers to show prove of income and check in every-time I’m at work (basically clocking in) to determine how much one is able to borrow before funds are expressed. It is obvious that Brigit did their research and took out a lot of the potholes and red tape to make it easier for consumers. I can appreciate apps like this as I’ve been someone who has used and still uses pay day loan companies as I’m still getting in front of my finances. As millennials we need breathing room and I’m thankful for Brigit who will keep a close eye on things and keep me afloat. $10/month may seem like a lot but if you’re someone who Overdrafts a lot this is saving you millions over time. My hope is that I no longer have to lose money with payday loans moving into the new year.

Ripoff. This app is a ripoff. They lured me into paying for their premium account so I could get an advance and then after my very first advance where my check was deposited and my advance was repaid on time now when I go to get an advance they say I don’t qualify for an advance. Nothin has changed with my pay or bank account. So now I’m paying for premium to not even be able to get an advance even though my first advance had zero issues. Starting to think everything is just a scam these days. What a joke Update: also just realized as I was trying to figure out what the issue could possibly be that they show my income at $100 when I just had over $1000 direct deposited to my connected account, which is a smaller than usual because I missed 1.5 days sick, but I’m pretty sure it’s not $100. They lure you in with the first advance and then everything messes up so they can take your premium money and not have to give you another advance Update: developer response tactfully ignores the fact that my income is inaccurate and of course tries to make it out that I’m wrong rather than addressing the issue I clearly stated. Basing off a users spending and income can’t work very well if your system is misrepresenting my income.$100 is a huge difference from $1100

Brigit Is A Great App For Financial Assistance. I must say that I was a little skeptical when I ran across this app but after reading all the great reviews, I decided to try it out. I signed up and had $135 deposited into my bank account in a matter of minutes I qualified for $200 but I only requested the $135! This is so much better than those high interest payday loans and definitely better than pawning your valuable items for pennies on the dollar and having to pay high interest to get it back or possibly losing it! You can put the app on automatic deposits and if your bank account gets low, it will advance your preset amount of money into your bank account so you won’t be overdrawn! You can also put it on manual and request the money when you know you’ll need it. If you tend to run out of money before you get paid then this app and company is a great help! Thanks Brigit! You have already saved me more in bank fees than your monthly service fee even costed me! What a great deal!

No longer free instant cash outs.. This has always been a wonderful app with their free instant cash outs (technically $2.50 with the $9.99 monthly fee). You’ll never get $250 as I’m sure everyone knows, and won’t ever get more than your starting amount they offered you (mine was $50 for 2 years regardless of bank balance or anything). Their cash out each week was nice with “instantly always on us”, and now it is no longer. They switched from free to $.99 on top of their subscription fee each month regardless if you use the service or not as some of the other reviews have stated. They turned money hungry finally like Albert did keep raising fees. I have deleted my account and will no longer be apart of this as it’s going to keep increasing with no benefit(raised amount you can cash out). If looking to download this, just beware of the false promise of “up to $250 a week” and their adding of fees. After all they have all your bank info and will take money from you regardless of your account balance. Of all the Apps Earnin gives you the most money to advance for the price, or will be in your account the next day for free if you select standard. USER BEWARE OF THIS MONEY HUNGRY APP!!!

By far the worst service EVER.. I’m giving them 5stars because hopefully, the odds of someone reading this before downloading the app, will read it. STAY AWAY. I don’t even know where to start… the 250 cash advance is a total lie. My husband makes 100k+ a year, he also has this app and I constantly see emails in our joint email account that Brigit automatically deposited 50 DOLLARS… not even he can get over 50. He doesn’t seem to care as he makes too much money to even notice. But for my situation… it’s not even about the loan amount. Their service all around is just abysmal.. you need to re-enter your debit card info constantly (and takes days to update), their customer service support is garbage if not, just straight up nonexistent. The copy/paste soulless response this review will get be 100% by far they most they’ve ever acknowledged me.. you have REQUEST to have your account back to a free service from a 10$ month sad excuse of a service.. REQUEST TO DEACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNT.. like what universe are they in?.. how do they have the gall to make you jump through hoops just have your account deactivated?… ugh. There SO MUCH more I can rant about how truly awful Brigit is. But I’m not giving them more energy. Hopefully my “request” to have my account deactivated will approve (my God.. they’re so pathetic) please stay away from this app. I definitely recommend Earnin and Dave over, refuse Brigit..

Set up my account again. #issues. For quite some time I was using this service without any issues. Occasionally the app would unlink my debit card so I would have to link it again. Or other times it would be plaid issues. I’ve had issues with both. I liked using Brigit to build up positive history not because I needed the loan. Then within the last few months they said that they were closing my account and would not respond back to my emails. First of all. That won’t fly with me. I didn’t do wrong by the company. First they get my credit score down when it dinged like 20-30+ points for a “late” aka not late payment. But they falsely reported it as late then had the audacity to close my account. And on top of that won’t respond to my emails. I will pursue legal action. Just a heads up. Honestly it would be easier if they just apologized for their errors fixed my credit score and reported the payment was never late (because it wasn’t) to the credit bureaus to fix the issue and reset my account. Not fully because I was working to consistently pay on time to advance larger and larger amounts. Anyway. I have a powerful lawyer if you don’t make this right. Don’t mess with me or my money again. You are being reported as fraudulent if not fixed by June 13th 2023 peace out morons.

GOOD & BAD. I usually don't do reviews , but i thought i'd go ahead with this one because maybe it will help someone figure out whether this app is worth it so i'm here to say that if your credit is bad just understand right now you probably will never be able to borrow $250 , Earnin App at least lets you build up your spending limit . Brigit will only ever give you the same max you've always had , no changing it regardless if you pay on time or for that fact just pay at all . Fortunately i don't need to borrow so much money , but for someone who probably wants to do this app to help with others don't expect much unless your credit is great . I think it's a decent app because it has helped me out with small things , it lets me take out and it gets to me within 20 mins i need it which is amazing . Another downside is it takes 3 days to process the payment back so the day it's due , it will take the money out and the app will say it's still due , the next day it will say it was initiated and processing then on the final day it will finally say it was paid back 😑 Yawn ! I look the app other then the wait time for it to pay back .

A frustrating waste of time. Very disappointing.. I was very eager to download and start using this app, however they have a list of criteria you need to meet before you can qualify for advances. Other similar apps also have eligibility criteria, which is understandable, but this app in particular has the most intricate, absurd, and unnecessary criteria which makes it almost impossible to meet everything within a amount of time that would be beneficial to even use their service. Four months I met every single criteria necessary except for one of them which was how often I used my checking account. I kept asking support for more information regarding this criteria and what can be done about it and they were less than helpful but after several months more of try my best to use my account more even though I didn’t need to or want to I finally got a message saying I qualify for advances. However, would they never tell you is an order to take advantage of the advances you have to opt in to a $10 Recurring membership first. I was so fed up at this point I requested my account to be deleted and I deleted the app and I’m hoping other people will read this and know that this is the most ridiculous of all the cash advance apps out there. There are several others I highly recommend more that I have used with no complaints.

TERRIBLE APP AND COMPANY!. I don’t leave bad reviews but in this case I definitely will. I used to like this app but not anymore…needed to extend my payment and was not able to do so in app due to already having one set up. I needed to reschedule again due to an expensive car repair and chatted with a horrible “bot” within the app about extending my payment again. I had extensions left to do this and STILL was not allowed to do this in app. This “bot” says someone will be contacting me within 24hrs via email because they have no customer service number to call. This was 3 days before my payment was due. I got an email the NEXT day from someone in customer service dept and was told my payment had been extended for 2/7 and there was no further action I needed to take….Well guess what? I was still charged on my first extension date! Terrible! And they gave me the run around stating that it was too late to reschedule when they took 24hrs just to get back to me and THEN lied about rescheduling me, and also refused to reverse the charge! Horrible customer service…beware and stay away from this company! Their customer service is bad and will refuse to make things right when they know they were wrong. I would NOT recommend..please use a better advance app!

🛑🚫Beware🛑🚫. I repeat don’t download this app, it’s a completely scam and doesn’t help you if anything you spend money on something that’s very useless. I download this app a few days ago and wanted to get fast cash but in order to get it you have to pay for subscription which is $9.99. I was approved to getting $50 instantly but my instinct told me not to go through with it and I didn’t they just gave me scamming vibes. So I decided not to and want to cancel the subscription because it honestly wouldn’t help me. When I say it take you though so much to do so, i ended up finding a way to delete my account, but they still saying they going charge me the $9.99 when I only have it for least then a few hours this is definitely a no I will never download any of this types of apps, this is a totally rip off. I wish I would read the comments before downloading I’m so upset, but if they try to charge me next month I will contact my bank and have them block because that’s stealing from me when I deleted my account. I’m very serious I will take it there with this company your not going take my hard working money for something I barely used. AGAIN STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP IT IS A COMPLETELY SCAM.

App information. I gave it five stars because that is the only reviews you will see. I initially got this app to see about the advance you can get. I got approved and got the advances by starting a subscription. It was $9.99 per month. I tried it, checked out the features, paid back the advances, then changed my mind. That’s when the problem started. I have tried through the app then the website several times over months trying to cancel it. When I finally got to talk to a customer service person through chat then email, I sent them a screenshot of the cancellation confirmation I initially had but they kept charging me, they said they would fix it, but that never happened. Now when I try to cancel it says my phone number is incorrect on the website but the app says it’s verified, there is no longer an option to cancel in the app, it says go to the website. It’s an endless loop to nowhere. I finally had to open an online bank account, change the banking information in the app, and then close the online bank account to stop the $9.99 a month coming out of my bank. I had to also alert my actual bank about the fraudulent charges, showing them my initial cancellation, to make sure no other charges are coming from this app. Beware of this app!!**

Worthless support. Impossible to reach, and COSTLY.. This is the worst financial services product I have even encountered…ever. When I began closing the checking account this worthless app stalked (via it’s upgraded “pro edition” I notice that even though I canceled my subscription almost immediately a charge for the aforementioned “pro” version. Canceling one is not the same as closing the other, and it does not matter if you told them to cancel all subscriptions. Nope. Brigit is as skeezy as check cashing place in low income areas across the nation. To their credit (the check loan places, not Brigit) they at least are very clear how to reach them. Not Brigit. You won’t find any contact information through the app whatsoever. Not even a mention of where you SHOULD go. I won’t draw this out past the chat agent assuring me I would be refunded for any monies in the account and penalties because of it pulling on an empty account - because it will take 1-2 weeks to process such a complicated financial task. Brave soldiers fighting valiantly against the 1% by lying to you and never speaking to you again. The most recent chat agent said they’ll be happy to take care of things within (an additional) two weeks. That time has come and gone and it’s far past time Brigit is called out for the hollow, sham service it claims to be. And they won’t tell you otherwise, because you’ll never actually speak with them. STAY AWAY. BEWARE. RUN.

Great!!. I’ve been using Brigit for almost a year now and it has helped wonders! My credit score went up about 10points since I've started the Brigit Credit building. Based on my bank history they only take money out of my account when I'm most likely to have money in my account which is a huge help, because it’s only ever on payday, and I find that I am most likely to pay a bill at the beginning of the week then the end when I’m tight on money. They send you notification on when your bill is due and they also send you articles on what best would help you save, I especially love that. I’d have to say the only thing I’m not a fan of is when they are processing the payment. the payment processing starts about 24hrs before the bill is due but they don’t take the money out of the account until 2-3days after it’s not a deal breaker but it is kinda annoying.

Fraudulent company. This company is a fraudulent company that targets the middle class import community to benefit. They have been stealing money out of my account. I have canceled my service over four months ago and they are still removing money from my account and also made my account to be overdrawn I have reached out to the customer service and you cannot talk to in any human. The AI even tells me this is the only way of customer service which is ridiculous, how can you take money out of my account and I can’t even talk to a human about what’s going on all my issues I have to talk to a computer which do not understand human emotions because they are program with operations to direct you and is very limited to talk to. I do not recommend this company to anyone. And I will try my best to file a lawsuit against his company for fraudulent and false advertising and also with criminal attempt to steal money out of my account. And this is ridiculous I have sent emails I have went to the website I have went to Twitter Facebook Instagram and there are no human responses. There are only AI. This is a fraudulent company and I hope the government shuts it down. My name is Rickey

Started off good. I liked this app when I first started to use it. No problems at all. Well, just had my first problem and, that is where I saw the flaws. I wasn’t able to pay my loan back in full because, my hubby and I were placed under quarantine due to covid. I received an email from someone who said I could break the amount due into four payments which was great. We scheduled the payment dates for automatic withdrawal and was set, or so I thought. The first payment date came and the funds were taken out with no issue. Then, 2 days later(8 days before next payment was scheduled) I receive an email from someone different, saying my payment was declined and, to log into the site to schedule my payments again. Logged in to see they attempted another payment, again, 8 days before the agreed date. I still have the email with the scheduled dates, that was sent by them. So, why make the arrangements if they weren’t going to follow them? Now, I’ll have to call my bank to make sure they don’t attempt to pull out money anytime they want. It’s not even like I wasn’t trying to pay my loan. I was perfectly fine with the 4 payments set by their representative. Obviously it was a lie

Steals your money! Don’t risk it!. I tried this app because I’m building my credit. Unfortunately they charge $10 a month to sign up so I decided not to and went with another service that’s free. Well over the holidays they emailed me a special promotion saying I could get the membership for a $1. Yes I signed up because I wanted to see if it was better or worth it. I looked at the membership the first day and never used it after since the one I went to previously offered the exact same things. A few days ago I check my bank account and they charged me $10 not $1 and when I canceled (the day of the renewal) it says that I will still be charged for January even though I canceled. I emailed support asking for them to refund the 9$ that I was charged due to only supposed to being charged $1 and asked for them to please not to charge me for January since I canceled the day of and never used the service. After a few days support emailed me back and Said they will not issue me a refund and that I’ll still be charged for the next month. It’s funny how this service is supposed to make you better but then lies to you, tricks you and steals from you. Please don’t risk having a bad experience because they will not help you or support you, you’re just going to have to pay for their wrongs.

SUCH A LIFESAVER !!!!. I have had a wonderful experience with this app. I have the enable auto transfer disabled but I keep an eye on my account myself and when I see I’m low I request for Brigit to send funds. I also have alerts enabled so when Brigit sees I’m low they’ll send me a text and I gauge from there if I need the funds or not. I also have the express delivery to receive funds set up, so funds usually arrive in minutes. When your living check to check this app definitely comes through and helps you have money to last until payday. Their fee to borrow is much less than payday loans so I don’t mind paying the $9.99 each month to use their service. It’s just one fee of $9.99 monthly and then you can borrow every pay period I get paid bi-weekly so I usually have the opportunity to borrow 2x a month. When payday comes and funds from my job are deposited they auto draft the same day. So, just be mindful when getting your check that a withdrawal will need to take place. I’ve recommended this app to two friends who now use the service and have enjoyed their experience as well .

This app is a scam and even when you meet the requirements it will not grant a loan. I have met all of the requirements that are required to obtain a loan yet this app continues to tell me to use my account everyday for 2 weeks and it never changes. So even if you are trying to comply with the requirements the app states that you must do to obtain a loan the company will never give you a loan. The app keeps telling me that I need to use my bank account everyday for 2 weeks and to have a cash cushion the day after my payday and even after a month of using my account every day and meeting the required cash cushion for not only days but for weeks after my payday, it continues to say the same thing and never changes. My concern is that the app is still tracking my bank account activity and now I’m wondering why since it is very obvious that they gave no intension or granting me a loan. It is impossible to reach anyone at this company so now I’m really worried that this app might be some sort of scam that will end up having into my bank money and stealing money from my bank account. This is very suspicious and I do not recommend anyone using this app.

Can’t live without Brigit - paid for medical bills. I always hated overdraft fees but had no idea how much I have spent on the bs bank fees that I could’ve used for food, gas, etc. Aside from saving me hundreds (close to thousands) of dollars since joining, Brigit sent me cash when I needed it most: I was traveling and didn’t realize my bank account was already overdrafted, I needed funds to see a doctor after falling off my motor bike in Croatia (luckily way less expensive docs in Croatia) but I was literally able to pay for my stitches, the antibiotics, the dressing and other necessary stuff to keep my arm from getting infected while overseas! I love how Brigit works and knows when I need money. It just gets updates from my bank and calculates when I’ll need more money. I get the texts and the funds are already there!

Worst ever. They approved me for $50, NOT $250! I make about $400 per week so this is disappointing. I dont get paid in direct deposit I get a Google Pay VISA DIRECT Payment. This app is so foolish I get paid about 6PM every paday evening by my boss, NOT at midnight. Unfortunately Bridget CAUSES MY ACCOUNT TO GO NEGATIVE EVERY TIME I BORROW WITH THEM!, because they COLLECT the loan at MIDNIGHT, but I DON'T GRT PAID UNTIL 6PM THAT DAY! I've been begging my bank to refund my overdraft/returned check fees, but ISN'T THE PURPOSE OF THIS APP TO AVOID THOSE FEES? If you need support or have a question, you're screwed. Support is out of site. No Phone number, no contact. Just email, (screw that) Also my $50 credit limit has not gone up, I have paid back multiple times. If it continues to stay at $50 I am going to cancel, because this is more costly then my credit card, $9.99 per month x 12 months with the credit line of only $50! Do the math, this gives me an Annual Percentage Rate of over 239%!!! Then they want a TIP from you? I HAVE A TIP!!! Wait for it.... COMMON SENSE! Do NOT USE this even if you are approved, its worse then a payday loan.

Worst App Ever. How do you create a app that doesn’t allow you to manage subscriptions within the app or unlink your bank account. They tell you to go to the website to manage any subscriptions or cancel your account but even after trying to do that, it doesn’t allow me to log on the web app. I’m prompted to enter my phone number so they can send a pin but I never received the pin. I tried with my email and that didn’t work either. So I figured maybe I should reach out to app support, which by the way was a chatbot, and it told me that I would receive an email but I’m here still waiting for that email to come. It seems like the developers deliberately make it impossible to unlink your bank account or make any changes with the account at all. I’m not someone to leave reviews but this app is one you should absolutely stay away from if you don’t want to risk being trapped in a subscription that siphons money out of your account and gives you no real working way of canceling it.

It actually works. Most people think reviews are probably fake and are made by the developers. I’m not lying when I say Brigit works. I lost my job last year and my car because I didn’t have enough income. Once I got a new employment I joined Brigit just for the cash advance which helped me spread my income around a bit more and save without any questions. It made me a little more financially aware of my spending and I downloaded the Brigit Money app which automatically helps me save money for whatever I may need it for in the future. I don’t touch and I’m loving it. Lastly, my credit score dropped after losing my car, but my credit score has increased almost 80 points since subscribing. I just pay them $15/mo for a loan and I get the money back in the end, say less! I really recommend this app for young adults and people trying to improve their credit.

I love it! 10+ starssss!. It literally took me all of 10 minutes to get all my information (bank, contact, & direct deposit confirmation) & I was INSTANTLY APPROVED! I got my funds the same day (depending on your bank & the time you request your funds be sent to your bank.) You have the option to enable “auto advance” which is where they pretty much will automatically deposit up to $250 if your account balance gets low. It can help you avoid overdraft fees & just an extra pick-me-up that can last you until payday. You get 3 extensions to use if you can’t afford to pay them back by the day they’ve given you. & it came in handy for me this morning considering school is starting next week & I had to get a few more things for my daughter. I love this app! If I could give it 10+ stars I would! 😘😘❤️❤️❤️🤑🤑🤑🤑

So far, so good. I recently got a bunch of apps like this to compare the ease of use and the cash advance options. Brigit is one I will keep but I don’t think I’m going to put my direct deposit into it. There are other apps that I will get my paycheck sooner than Brigit would be able to do. But I already was able to get a $50 cash advance after only a few days of being verified with my bank account connected. The only thing I don’t understand is why my payment is still processing after 24 hours. The $50 was taken out of my bank account after direct deposit hit but in the Brigit app it tends to update everything extremely slowly. Not really a huge problem but it isn’t an app I’m going to use for more than just a $50 cash advance once in a while. I like to see my bank account balance reflected more accurately and in a much more timely manner.

Very poor customer service. I used the app as short term stopgap to some money issues. I tried to “unsubscribe” to the safety net on the app, and was directed to email the company. Which I did, well in advance of the next subscription fee that would be taken from my checking account. I was still charged the fee even though I had none of their funds in my account, and had written them SEVERAL emails trying to unsubscribe from their service. So, unless I hear from them in the next week, I will have to cancel my checking account and file fraud charges with my bank. Horrible service, customer service is reprehensible at best. Update** Oh, after I posted this review I was finally contacted saying my subscription has been canceled. I have not yet been refunded for my subscription fee. I am not fully comfortable deleting the app as I still get text notifications saying I am and am not approved for the safety net subscription. Waiting to see if I get charged yet again for a service I am not using. Look into Earnin and Dave. No cancellation issues, no hidden fees except what you want to tip. MUCH better experience and 100% better customer service.

Worst paycheck advance app by far. I’ve tried out several different apps that provide users with advances on a portion of their paycheck (Earnin, Dave, Branch) and this one is easily the worst of the bunch. Some things you should know before downloading this app: 1. Unlike the other apps, which make money through tips or instant transfer fees, Brigit is a subscription service where you have to pay every month to receive their advances. Which means, even if you don’t actually use the service you’ll still pay to have it activated. 2. The requirements to qualify for advances are extremely steep and the advance itself is minimal at best. You have to have consistent payments that all exceed $1500 a month, and even when you reach that threshold every single paycheck must be greater then $400. 3. Reaching the requirements only nets you an $80 advance as opposed to $100 from earnin, which is far easier to use. 4. Even if you cancel the subscription before the next charge date they still charge you for the month anyway, I can’t think of a single other modern subscription service that does this. Overall the app is a huge hassle and not worth the pennies they give you. If you want to avoid overdrafts, just set up an account with a bank that doesn’t do overdrafts like Simple. If you need cash advances just use Earnin or Dave. If you want an app that tracks your spending use Truebill. This app doesn’t offer anything that other apps don’t already do better.

Take the Max. Update: You can’t cancel the paid plan in the app. They force you to log in online to cancel. That is manipulative and designed to make it inconvenient and time consuming- period. I will not use this app again because of this. Other apps do the same thing better for less cost. From prior review: if they approve you for a specific amount, take it. Took less than I was approved to take because I only wanted to take what I absolutely needed. 2 days before payday, decided I needed the remainder I was approved to get, but couldn’t get the rest because I didn’t take it all at the same time up front. App works but things like this make it not user friendly. Ended up trying another app with no monthly fee that works in the same manner and my limit has been increased to more than 5x what it was when I started bc I paid back on time & never maxed out my limit. Brigit never raised my limit even tho I paid on time. Felt unfair. Can’t recommend it other than to say it does work and it is a legitimate app.

Very unahappy with a suspicious behavior. I terminated my account and asked for deletion of it, before the month of November started. They agreed to my request but specifically said “you will be charged for another subscription”. First of all I had no options to hop out or any access to the app because obviously I asked for deletion of the account. I tried to avoid but couldn’t so I thought okay fine last 10 bucks you getting. Now I just noticed I got charged from them again and I have no access to my account, the app keeps sending me snapchot of how much I have everyday. My relationship with them and my info should’ve been deleted. They never notified me of another charge after the subscription and only send me advertisements through email. Blocking my card won’t work cuz they have access to my bank account and can direct debit money from it when they want without any prior notice. I really don’t like where this is going. Send me an explanation, an email or something saying why I’m getting charged again after I asked for account deletion.

Helped Me Get Through a Difficult Time. As someone who is somewhat skeptical of apps promising instant payment, I was surprised. Thank you for this app, it really helped me out in my time of need. I was just $50 short on a bill that needed to be paid ASAP and payday is a few days away. I was able to be assisted instantly. Yes, I did have to end up paying $10 for the service, but this won’t be charged until the end of the month, and I’ll definitely have more than that amount available by that day. I recommend this app for those who have a steady income but is short on money for a lower amount (ex: groceries or gas, nothing huge), based on your financial situation, the instant payment amount varies. I think it’s worth a shot if you’re short on money.

Usually Satisfied But Brigit is NOT the same. When I started using Brigit a year ago I was really satisfied and never had any issues. Apparently they’re using a different system to verify the debit cards so you have the ability to get an instant transfer. After Brigit took their payment about a week later I went to borrow again. I kept getting a message that my account was connected. Every time I try to reconnect I got an error. I email Brigit customer service and the rep said she deleted all my bank info and just re-enter it. I did that and everything was fine then I add my debit card, THE SAME ONE I had linked before their SYSTEM disconnected from my checking account. Last year I would add the card and in a few mins I was ready for instant downloads. Today I’ve waited 6 hours (7 at this point). I’ve emailed customer service and they keep telling me when their .01 deposits into my account the debit card will be approved. I’ve sent screenshots showing the .01 IS IN MY ACCOUNT! They tell me they can’t do anything. I’m sooooooo annoyed. Not to mention not one person was helpful today 🤬

Beware, IT’S A TRAP. UPDATE: Developer “response” addresses none of my feedback. They have bots working for them. I would rate zero stars if allowed. * They don’t disclose cash advance criteria until you’ve downloaded the app, created an account, and linked a bank account. By this point, they now have all your personal info. I wouldn’t have downloaded this in the first place if criteria were disclosed UP FRONT. * Self-employed people beware. Daily income doesn’t count as “regular deposits”. Only w2 employed people need apply. * No option to un-link bank account in-app. * No means to delete account in-app. You must go to their website separately where you’re faced with a gauntlet of nag screens and “dark pattern” design to try and thwart you from deleting the account. The “I’ve changed my mind” button is substantially larger than the “delete my account” button. I tapped “changed my mind” by accident twice - THAT IS INTENTIONAL. Folks, you are not the customer here. You’re the product. Avoid this app. All the “free” services can be had elsewhere without handing over all your personal information.

I Love Bridgit!!. Brigit is such an amazing app. I was a little disappointed in the delay in receiving the funds I requested, especially when I because given the impression that the money is received in your account within minutes from the way it was advertised. I received the funds 3 days after I requested it instead. Nonetheless, I still have to say that this is a great way to take out a loan. It beats tanking out a payday loan with interested added any day. Plus unlike other loan apps, Bridgit gives you the option of extending the date to pay it back. That definitely made up for having to wait 3 days to see the money in my account. The money didn't come when I wanted it, but it was there when I needed it and for that all 5 stars have been earned. If you are in need of some cash and can’t call on anyone to help you and despise payday loans as much as I do. DOWNLOAD THIS APP TODAY!

Save yourself the hassle and try Brigit first!!!. I’ve been in a bit of a financial pickle these past few days while awaiting my next paycheck. I downloaded over 10 cash advance apps, signed up for a bunch of cards and services that I’ll never use — all for nothing. Finally, I gave Brigit a try. The sign-up process was quick and linking my bank account was easy. Within less than an hour of them verifying my account, I was approved for an advance. The catch is, they don’t tell you how much you’re approved for until you subscribe to their Plus program for $9.99/mo - BUTTT, they do not bill you for the subscription until the end of the month, so — no problemo! I’ve now got $50 to last me until I get paid tomorrow! As long as your bank account is at least two months old and you have some sort of direct deposit then you will be approved!

16 hours later. So I downloaded this app. Thinking it would be similar to “Dave”. Of course I was approved told I’d get the money instantly. It’s been about 15 hours and I’m a bit skeptical about this. Reading the help section it says it depends on your bank processing time. Well, with Dave and money in general by the next business day THAT MORNING I typically receive funds. The apps help center says by 5pm my bank never deposits that’s late??? So where is the money actually? With the that being said , what if I never receive the money? But you’ve accessed my banking info as well as my accounts routing / account #. Your app says INSTANTLY. DAVE is INSTANT. which is why I rated that app a 5 and you guys a 2. If it ISNT INSTANTLY DEPOSITED ITS NOT INSTANT. I will change my review IF and WHEN i ACTUALLY receive the money. Don’t bother telling me to contact help. I already have. P. S. YOU SHOULD HAVE A LIST OF THE BANKS YOU ACCEPT OR NOT. THATS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE YOU'RE CLIENTS ARE INFORMED. That way people aren’t finding out when they are in a tight that their banking institution isn’t partnered with Bridget. why I’m rating you guys a two, From a good place. 💋

It helps...sometimes.. So, I use Capital One. When I first got this app, I was amazed. It was helpful, because I was pretty much broke. It went without flaw. I used the app the second time I needed an advance, but it wouldn’t let me borrow, because it said that it could not link to my bank account. Okay? The funniest part was, come Friday, it still charged the subscription fee...FROM THE ACCOUNT THAT IT COULD NOT LINK TO. I emailed them, because I was pretty mad, and asked how it could not let me borrow, but it still took the subscription payment out. All they said was, “We’ve been having issues with Capital One accounts.” Come this week, same thing. It took a whole month for it to let me borrow and it withdrew the borrowed money AND the subscription money, but it says I can’t borrow because it can’t link to my bank account. Emailed them again and they said the same Capital One issues are occurring. Long story short. Get Earnin. They are flawless, helpful, and amazing. And they increase your limit based on consistency and your pay. Trust me, you can’t go wrong with that app.

Brigit fairness. I had ended up in a very bad financial position and ended up not being able to pay my Brigit advance that was due. I would say between 4-6 failed payment attempts I finally am getting my financials together and was able to pay back the money I owed to Brigit and they did not charge me an extra late fees like other apps will. That’s why I would recommend Brigit with this five star rating because they not only make sure that you aren’t borrowing more then you can pay back by allowing only a small amount to begin with and allow you to prove that you can make those payments and gradually allow you to borrow more with consistent payments and don’t charge you anything more then originally agreed amount they are fair least to say

Good until you try to cancel. I had used Brigit for months and it was a great service. I got to the point where I was paying the $9.99 monthly fee and not using the service. I was thinking great I no longer need the service and I should cancel my subscription. I log into the app and cancel well before my renewal date. I even sent an email to customer service trying to verify that no more subscription fees would be taken out. To my surprise they take out yet another month. I never got a response from my email either. So I’m now here letting others know of my experience. I will update if they try to keep taking the subscription fees out each month. Update: So the response I get from The developer is to reach out to them via email to cancel my account but they did not address still taking the funds out or the account after I had already canceled my membership. I had already reached out to customer service via their website and I got no response from them. Funny how they will respond to a bad review but they won’t respond to an email a customer since then.

Money stealing frauds. I emailed the customer service team about deactivating my account since I’m paying monthly and never got an advance. So a response said there is a lot of people trying to get advances and I need to wait. Wait?? As well as I’m not eligible for a refund. I have had this app for 5 months and had a total of 50 dollars taken from me! HOW ARE YOU TRYING TO HELP PEOPLE WHEN YOU'RE TAKING THEIR MONEY? I Demand a refund. Or I will see you in court. This app has done nothing but steal from me, and promises to eventually give me an advance that it never ever was going to give me in the first place. If I never canceled, how much more money would Bridget have taken for me? As I’m just waiting for an advance like a clown as they rob me blind. HOWEVER, my boyfriend has this app and pays for it and all they ever give him is 25 dollars. And that’s like half of his monthly fee. Over all not worth it! You can’t even deactivate your account in the app! They make it shady and difficult so they can keep scamming you. STAY AWAY! Try the Dave app, Earnin, as well as Albert for actual legit advances😍 as well as Opp Loan Stay clear of money takers like Briget

Refuses to Cancel and Prejudiced Employees. Brigit is a scam! Employees, like Alyssa, are very condescending and rude. She blocked my account access although I have paid for the company’s drastically reduced services; however, the co has failed to drastically reduce the price. She was upset because I asked about a payment that was already repaid on time, a week ago, and Brigit is purposely failing to credit payment to reduce the number of borrowers. The company claims that it had to cut the borrow amounts by 65% because of COVID-19, claiming the need to service more borrowers, but if that’s the case, the co is also receiving more fees while reducing services but not reducing the fee. I’ll bet that the co also received a big bailout from the Fed. There is no “extra monitoring” service for 9.99; that’s a LIE. That’s just the cost of borrowing, a lending fee under the guise of a subscription that I have asked to have canceled but to no avail. I have the exact same employer for 2 years, and—after I questioned Alyssa, Brigit suddenly claims its system sees no deposits (but the co most certainly received repayment on time and doesn’t dispute ).

The app I was looking for. I have nothing but positive things to say about this app, and I strongly encourage you to give it a try if you’re tired of apps that let you borrow $20-75, charge $3-5 each time and want it back within 2 weeks. Brigit does require you to enroll in there subscription of $10/mo to use the service on a constant basis, but I’ll tell you why it’s worth it. Number one, they’ve allowed me to borrow up to $130 as an advance on my paycheck (which was very easy to sync, like most apps) about 10% of an upcoming predicted check. Most other apps aren’t as great. Number two, they understand that life happens and financial issues come up, you are able to extend the due date a total of 3 times with a membership, and you can earn extra extensions for paying on time and having “safety net” on, which automatically sends money when your low. They don’t charge extra fees for any of theses VERY helpful services, it’s all included for $10/mo. (Other similar companies aren’t so kind) This app has saved me from a couple embarrassing moments out with friends, and definitely saved my a*s on a couple unexpected bills. Very helpful tool for the young professional, or college student.

DO NOT GET THIS APP.. First off,, this app does not have anyway for you to contact them by phone number. You can only contact them by email, which takes forever. Aside from that, I recently had my purse stolen so I had to close my banking account that Brigit was connected to. When attempting to change the account out, so I can repay my payment, it said I had to pay through the account that was on file before I could switch it. But how could I when my account is closed? Long story short I had to contact Brigit through email (which took a while for the reply), had to explain to them several times why I couldn’t pay through the app (because Mike who I spoke to continued to repeat the same things I had already addressed). It was all in all a long process that could easily have been fixed if they have that issue fixed through the app or if they have a phone system that customers can reach them through immediately. I will never use this app again. The only thing good I can say is that I got to pay my loan and cancel my account.

Too Many Delays. I have tried a few of these types of monetary apps and this one unfortunately isn’t my favorite. There’s too many delays for me. A delay to get the funds. A delay to repay the funds. Understanding my “bank” controls some of the processing but I have the same exact bank account linked to my Earnin app account and they take the money as soon as my check is deposited, no delays whatsoever. So I’m not sure where the difference is here. And I can even request money the same day I repay and get it within seconds with other apps. Not with Brigit. Until they upgraded the app recently, you had to wait hours for the money requested and still have to wait 2-5 for the repayment process to go through, then only after waiting those 3-5 days can you request a new withdrawal. And Brigit also charges a $9.99 fee a month to utilize the app. I am removing it as of today. It’s just not as convenient for me as they portray it to be. Too many delays.

Would Not Recommend. Initially this app worked wonders for me especially in between pay periods. A few months ago Brigit said my bank was no longer compatible with the app and I was no longer able to utilize the app for the purposes I needed it to. I’ve been trying to delete my accounts for months. I wasn’t able to log in through the web to delete my account. It wouldn’t send the reset link for me to log in through text or email. The customer service agents were of no assistance to me. They kept telling me to log on the website although I told them repeatedly I’ve been trying with no success. I’ve asked for a refund for the subscription several times since I haven’t used the app or it’s benefits. Each rep stops responding. I’ve asked for a customer service or corporate number several times and still have not gotten a response. This process has been very frustrating. Ridiculous my bank isn’t compatible but bright can still take money out of the same bank. Very dissatisfied.

Perfect!. I pay a monthly fee to Brigit to give me small advances anytime I need them. I’ve had a tire blow and couldn’t quite cover it, $50 from Brigit helped with that. I will continue to pay the monthly fee even when I’m not using it because you never know. It’s just a little bit of security just in case. I’ve read quite a bit of the reviews and some of the negative reviews seem like they were people hoping to get a quick $250 and more than likely never intended on paying it back. Brigit makes sure that doesn’t happen by seeing bank activities. I have NEVER had anything extra come out of my account other than what I either borrowed or the monthly fee. They also offer credit building services which I haven’t utilized but for the $10 a month fee their services are well worth it. Definitely recommend.

DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY!. If I could give zero stars I would. They charged me twice and have argued with me every step of the way saying there was a glitch on THEIR end so they never got it and blaming it on my bank. This was after I showed proof on multiple occasions that the $75 repayment was in fact debited from my account on the due date. I was also in close contact with my bank who assured me it was definitely not them. I ended up paying AGAIN because I did not want to deal with collections or a bad hit to my credit. I asked that when it was paid that everything be canceled as I no longer wish to work with this company. Lo and behold when I paid for a SECOND time I was also charged another $9.99 subscription fee. Which again, Brigit refused to refund. Also, the customer service department is probably the LEAST helpful I’ve ever interacted with. Save your subscription fee and the hassle of this company and use EarnIn or Empower, they are soooooo much better than Brigit!!!

Quick and convenient. I was hesitant to use, but decided to give it a try & was pleasantly surprised. The setup/qualification process is easy, you link your Brigit account to your checking account and set up safetynet and you can request funds or it’s supposed to monitor your balance and auto deposit funds when your balance gets low. My only complaint would be that there seems to be a lag in the balance in brigit vs the actual balance in your account, so I wouldn’t be confident in relying on it to auto depot I funds to prevent overdraft, but if you know your balance is low and you have something you know if doming into your account, it’s a convenient way to get funds deposited before the transaction hits the bank to avoid overdraft fees. Brigit charges $9.99 a month for safetynet, which is much cheaper than paying an overdraft fee or having a check bounce.

Brigit. I like brigit it’s a good app (when I first downloaded it ) the downfall about this app is that it takes forrrrreverrr to process a repayment and to be able to take out again. every week I’m not able to take out until the day before I get paid and Im having to turn around and pay it back doesn’t even give me a chance to use the Money so it’s like useless to take out. Only benefit where I am able to enjoy the money is when I can change the repayment date but that only giving after you repay two payments. It definitely Not like other apps such as Earnin,Dave,or branch when these apps process you can take out same day or next day brigit needs to catch up they use COVID-19 as an excuse while the other app are doing increases to give you more money brigit decreased it payments to customers. I’m to the point I barley use brigit because of its this downfall. To the point of deleting it. Please brigit keep up,catch up do better and learn.

Needs work. I love that it was super simple to set up. Got approved for $200 instantly. Everything linked perfectly until my debit card for instant transfer. It’s been 4 hours and it’s still showing as pending. I’m terrified to click 1 day transfer because it’s a Friday night. If the app would just update it would more than likely show it’s verified. However nothing I do will update the app. So I’m thinking it updates once a day. Nothing you can do about it. So here I am left waiting. Hoping they fix this issue. I’ll update once I’m finally able to borrow money and get it paid back. Also this will not work if you have a joint bank act. Found that out while I was signing up so just a heads up. If you’re married this won’t work for you. Otherwise it’s been simple. This waiting around game is just frustrating. Please fix and allow us to update the app ourselves.

Never let me advance. Had this app for over a year, still never qualified for an advance despite making over $4.5k a month, never going negative and paying bills on times. My Brigit score never increases no matter what I do. Anytime I reach out to customer service there’s some generic response that doesn’t answer the question on why I still can’t advance. Do not recommend. Brigit doesn’t accurately sort transactions and won’t allow you to move transactions so it NEVER counts my bills as being paid timely since it puts them in the transfer, food or even travel category. Don’t waste your time or money on this app. UPDATE: even the review response and customer service response doesn’t address the actual problem. I specifically state that the app is NOT CALCULATING my bills correctly. Everything else is in the green, ready to be approved but because Brigit categorizes my BILLS as other things it makes it seem like I’m not paying them, which puts me in the red for that category. If the bills were categorized CORRECTLY this wouldn’t be a problem.

Immediate dissatisfaction and vomit inducing setups. Needed to grab a little extra money out to pay an unexpected expense so I noticed this app and decided to give ‘em a try. Literally took 5 Minutes until the issues arose. They want all this sensitive info, but system won’t connect to either of my bank accounts. Not to mention that if you get ANY type of notification, DONT touch it as so much as pulling your notification screen down will reset your progress which is an abysmal feature to say the least. The app is so bad that once you try to connect your bank, you literally have no way out. No “never mind” function, no way to quit the process until it’s completed but has no exit plan in case you change your mind. They encourage you to delete the app without a way to delete your own profile so they can keep your information. Terrible first impression. Disgusted. Need this account deleted ASAP. Sad that the app AP t let me do so on my own.

Complete Crap. Waste of time that doesn’t do what they claim. App said I was overdrafting even with money in my account (and showing money in my account inside this app). Couldn’t detect income from the same employer, being direct deposited from the same exact account , and never got my pay amount even remotely correct (they said it was about 10% of the reality). Always excuses from them followed by requests for even more information that they can sell. Total scam in my opinion. Edit: Apparently they get really upset if you point out just how useless their “service” really is. The unsolicited calls to “discuss” my review with me weren’t welcome so apparently they’ve decided to post their self-serving infomercial as a response to my review. I’m not sure what makes these charlatans think the “testimonials” on their website aren’t highly biased, really old or simply bought and paid for. Testimonials only work when you actually have credibility. Don’t forget, always reorder reviews by most recent to see the truth about an app’s current situation, not a curated look at the past.

Worst loan app, ever. Seriously.. Okay, I am a store manager at a franchised menswear company. There are hundreds of my stores nationwide. Yet, after having this job 14 months, Brigit can’t seem to validate my paycheck. I mean, I’ve only been in receiving it every two weeks consistently for OVER A YEAR. I even received a response that this was cleared up from a customer service rep via email (supposedly), only to be told again an hour later via email that I am not eligible because whatever robot they employ to detect pay check patterns is obviously flawed. Thanks for nothing! I will be sending my friends to check out Dave. I wouldn’t dare ask someone to waste their time trying to get themselves out of a bind just to be met with this incompetence. Dave is SO much easier, user friendly, and REAL people help with issues.

Waste of time. The app needs to approve 3 reoccurring direct deposits from your checking account. Just like Earnin they don’t even consider reviewing your savings account even if your bank can be found on this app. I started a new job and have been paid by a paper check for my first pay and my next pays will finally be in my actually checking account. In the meantime I needed to borrow just a little cash which I can’t do from Earnin until the direct deposits show in my checking verses paper check and savings accounts. I deleted the app and they say you can’t rejoin for another 60 days. This app is completely useless. I resent even allowing them to access my banking information and account info for this waste of phone space and time. Don’t waste your time. If Dave or Earning isn’t enough the don’t bother this app like all others will be a complete waste of your time and phone space. You’ll probably bounce back financially before this useless app will even be of any help To you. Just borrow instead from family or friends if you have them.

Disappointing. I came to this app looking for some help With the promise I could borrow up To $250. Upon linking my bank account and following the steps, I was only approved for $10. Please note that you will have to sign up and pay $9.99 a month to borrow money. You will be charged this monthly fee regardless of how much you’re approved to borrow. In my case I was approved to borrow $10 at the cost of $9.99 a month. I decided to switch to the free portion of the app. (Still got hit for $9.99) as you cannot get a refund for monthly service fees that are charged the moment you add the “plus” plan. After a month of the free service I was notified it would begin charging me again! Finding the complete remove the service button is a chore. Hint, scroll under settings and look through the micro Print. I would warn anyone looking for some last minute help with money to avoid this app. It’ll cost you $9.99 and you most likely won’t get approved for $250. I rarely write these reviews but I feel people should hear my experience with this app.

A magical quick money Angel 🤑😇. I’ve needed Bridget for years! As soon as I saw the celebrity’s that backed Bridget, I was automatically on it! I get paid sporadically so I never know my income, as it changes on a day to day basis of being self-employed, so my overdraft with my Bank can happen at any given day. Bridget is my complete backup. Bridget has saved me many times! I also like that they will loan me more now that I have paid them back always too! I don’t mind paying $10 a month to have them help me, it’s definitely worth it. When I need Bridget, she sends me $ in less than 10 min, & living here in Vegas, you shall understand. Lol. I am grateful for Bridget’s help and text messages for reminders and to keep me up to date with my money. Thank you!

Good Service But.... UPDATE: My issue was resolved. The money was refunded and the representative made an adjustment so that I won’t be charged the $9.99 fee on my next repayment. Thank You!!! —— I signed up for this service and honestly I haven’t had any issues with it until recently. I took out an $80 loan which I repaid early (prior to my paycheck). The following day, they withdrew the $9.99 fee. Come payday, they took out an additional $9.99 fee. After much digging, I found a way to contact them regarding the additional fee withdrawn from my account. I received an email back saying that the additional funds would be refunded. That never happened. I emailed again to confirm when the funds would be refunded and got zero response. I’m going to pay off this new loan I took out and then I’m going to delete the app. Very disappointed that they won’t refund the additional fee they took out from my account. So I paid a $20 fee on an $80 loan — cost me $100. Beware if you choose to pay the loan off early. Just wait until your payday to avoid additional funds being removed from your account.

Already better than the last app I was on. The last app I used charged $1.00 per month but I couldn’t tell them what my payday was - they solely based it on my deposits. Secondly, they charged me to have the advance expedited but it could still take up to 8 hours to be added to my account. Third, whenever I needed to pay back an advance I had to request a specific payback URL. To put this in perspective, I just requested my first advance here and in less than a minute it was in my account with no fee to expedite and the payback date coincides with my actual payday. Granted I wasn’t able to get much, but it was my first advance. I’m really liking this one over my last as it gives me money quickly and ultimately will cost me less.

Best Advance App Out There!. I have never used any of these apps before. My (ex)fiancé left, & I’m scrambling to make ends meet until my final approval to drive for Lyft—I literally tried all of these apps—this is THE only one that, although they must take your information, didn’t put me through the ringer of analyzing my finances and then advising me of the numerous jobs that I could apply for!!! Brigit simply offered me the modest amount they could, not having any history with me, & immediately transferred it into my account. I didn’t get any condescending advice from a teddy bear about my excess spending, or told that I had no upcoming expenses. It was easy, empowering instead of demoralizing and I would highly recommend this app to anyone who is struggling to simply stay afloat while trying piece their life together after a disaster.

Was ok now it’s a scam. So I signed For this years ago, I built my way up to a $200+ per pay period advance. For the 9.99 per pay period, it wasn’t as bad as other apps, especially because you get the money instantly, without affecting your credit. Then Covid happened, so around April 2020, and they dropped everyone’s limit to $70 citing the pandemic. Then the 9.99 per pay period was ridiculous but people where desperate. They took advantage of this pandemic to squeeze money out of people who needed it the most. To this day my amount has not gone up. I have had a steady job for 7 years, through the pandemic, never missed a payment. Contacted support and was told to trust the algorithm, just wait. It’s been two years. You used to be a decent app that could help put groceries on the table but now you are the exact reason why people are drowning in debt and can’t afford the cost of living. It’s a fine line, and you crossed it. You are now part of the problem.

Dissatisfied. I got an advance from this app and the very next day the app was down for repairs, updates, whatever. The thing is that I needed to extend my payback date, but because it was down I was unable to do that. Now I will receive an overdraft fee which is the very thing the app claims to save you from. Not to mention, because the app was down I wasn’t even able to receive the advance I took until a day after promised, which also put me in the negative causing an overdraft fee. And to top it all off, the app still isn’t working, gave me the money I requested a day late and because it’s not working I can’t even write to their customer service or contact them in any way to get an extension ( which the app entitles me to!) so that I won’t be in the negative and pay an overdraft fee when they take their money out. It’s a load of crap. Caused me so many more problems and money. And if this review is seen by the people who created this app I am asking for compensation for overdraft fees that was promised wouldn’t happen. $70 total. I wouldn’t even be trying reach them via review but THE APP IS NOT WORKING ON MY PHONE AND THEY ARE CONDUCTING BUSINESS AS IF IT IS. What a load of crap!!

Such a hassle!!!. I regret even wasting my time with this app! It keeps saying my available balance is negative because I have pending transactions when I have money in my account, it’s not negative. People are ALWAYS going to have pending transactions if they didn’t why would they need to borrow the money from anyone. So ridiculous and frustrating. I got an alert at 4:58am that I could get the loan for $80 😑 then since I was obviously sleeping at that time. When I checked a few hours later it magically updated to say my account is -$2.76 which is incorrect. There’s no one to call or talk to. I’ve emailed several times with responses or replies. So not worth the headache! So essentially I will never “qualify” for the safety net loan because I use my bank account and will have pending transactions that keeps making this app think I’m negative 👎 Developers, you should really address this issue. Also the updates shouldn’t be once a day. It should update to real time ideally. I would not refer this to ANYONE ! And if I could give it 0 stars I would!

Great yet not without setbacks. This service and app has been there for me many times over but recently I was charged a nsf fee by both the app my bank because of the app which said they couldn’t take payment from my account but somehow they managed to process my membership fee while the money was in my account I’ve been reaching out but only receive the random yet obligatory hey we have received your contact and will get back to you at some point randomly with no attempt to fix anything I’ve requested a stay of payment multiple times until all issues are resolved with no response but yet again the payment as well as my membership fee was recently processed silently with no issue leading me to believe the failure to correctly charge was due to an error of the app or those running it but it cost me for someone else’s mistakes and it seems nobody cares..... hopefully this makes a difference

(Real customer Rating) Feedback. First of all this app is a lifesaver for people getting on their feet, People with low or no credit or anyone with integrity to pay back on time that could benefit from extra back up in between paychecks. This app is user friendly and if you have a steady job you will eventually be approved for safety net advancement loans. My only knock is that the app could be quicker and more prompt with updating info. 2-5 business day repayments/advances could easily be maintained at a same day-2 day approvals. Other payday apps keep up hourly days and weekends. I love this app and will continue to use it every pay day. Also I’ll keep inviting friends while marketing this app at every opportunity. Hope everyone pays attention to this review as a real, honest evaluation of the Brigit app. Thank you and God bless

Better than the rest of the savings apps.. This app actually does what it says it does. It doesn’t except checking accounts with direct deposits if it’s not a preferred bank. I have PNC checking and PNC virtual wallet and PNC savings accounts. I use my VA disability direct deposit into MetaBank and Chime strictly because of the benefits. Most savings account apps don’t consider these real accounts and treats your 2000 month income as not credited due to financial institution. Brigit looked at all accounts, rated me on them combined, verified my income and credited my total combined income. I was thrilled of course. Little things like this will help a company keep a new customer. I unsubscribed to Truebill ,received a refund for my subscription and used that money to pay for Brigit. Thank you for making my day a little brighter!

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!. This app was honestly going on a good start when I needed it but I had no longer any use of it after a few months , so I decided to cancel my subscription , I tried emailing them about my cancellation concerns but it was nearly impossible to get a response and so I decided to delete the app for the reason that I believed that they will just cancel my subscription for not being an active member ( my mistake ) I had recently found out that they still had been charging me monthly for over a year and I tried reach out and get a refund and for some “ reason” this app will try their hardest not to give people their money back , I have never had a problem with any app issuing my money back for simple mistakes , it’s just ridiculous the hassle you have to go through to even reach customer service , and plus what app doesn’t take phone calls direct to via customer service this is probably the reason they don’t , very fishy if I must say !! I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone there’s way better apps out there that offer the same services.

Terrible Customer Service & can randomly quit working.. It’s been two months and we are still trying to cut ties with Brigit. Still being charged for a subscription that’s paused. I would just prefer to delete the account. There’s much better options out there. This is good until it isn’t. Then good luck getting any kind of help from customer service. They just stopped responding. The app randomly quit being able to detect bi weekly paychecks, went to customer service and they were essentially no help, they didn’t even respond to my last email. I feel awful for even recommending this company to people. What started out as helpful for a few months has turned into a headache to say the least. I just want to quit being charged by this company and cut ties. Everything available on the website should also be available on the app, I shouldn’t have to run around all over the internet just to cut ties with this company.

The ONLY app to keep you covered. I initially had no intention of signing up for this service, since I thought $10 a month was too much to pay for a “what if” overdraft situation. I then looked into Dave as well as other cash advance apps. Nothing comes close to this one. I opened a checking account with a new bank close to me, and signed up for their overdraft protection. Little did I realize that even if my paycheck went in the same day of an overdraft, even just hours before, they would charge me $35. I foresaw that this could definitely become a problem. Signing up with Brigit and knowing they have me covered (for much more than Dave would’ve and easier than Earnin). The $10 a month is pennies compared with getting whacked with a bank overdraft! Brigit, I’m a fan for life!!
