Can I use the BPme app at every BP and Amoco gas station?

What happened to my Driver Rewards balance?

The Driver Rewards program ended on 10/1/2019 when we launched a new rewards program called BPme Rewards. When Driver Rewards ended, all outstanding rewards balances expired. If you would like to join BPme Rewards, you will start by saving 5 cents off per gallon on every fuel purchase made through next month.

What payment cards do you accept?

BPme currently accepts PayPal and all major credit and debit cards including BP credit cards, Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, and Discover. BPme currently does NOT accept fleet cards, gift cards, and pre-paid debit cards.

What fuel price will I pay if I use a debit card with BPme?

Gasoline prices are displayed on the entrance to the site and at all of our fuel pumps. When using BPme to purchase fuel (e.g. diesel fuel), you will always be charged the stated credit card price. To receive any exception prices (debit card pricing or discounts for specific credit card brands) that are locally offered by select gas stations, you can use your linked payment card to receive special pricing and qualify for BPme Rewards.

What is the BPme Rewards offer?

When you download BPme and register for BPme Rewards, you will immediately begin to get 5 cents off per gallon on every fuel purchase through the following month. After that, you have the opportunity to keep your 5 cent per gallon reward on all fuel purchases by spending $100 on fuel in a calendar month. Note: BPme Rewards is not valid in California.

- Great concept and rewards, but some minor flaws

I love the concept of being able to locate the nearest BP station and select/pay for a pump with my smart phone. Being able to apply rewards with app is quite easy as well! However, sometimes the app can be a little wonky when loading, and on a few rare occasions was not able to be used with compatible stations. I also have had fraud alerts block the use of the linked credit card on multiple occasions, but am not sure of that is more on the end of the fraud alert or the way the payment is secured by the app. Overall, the app is convenient and an easy way to apply rewards, but could use some fine tuning to make the experience completely seamless.

- So far not too happy with this app

When I signed in with my finger ID on iPhone it told me that I could not use the app because I needed to be connected to Wi-Fi, I turned on my Wi-Fi it still did not work I turn my Wi-Fi off it still did not work and then it told me that my credit card was not set up which it was because I got a dollar hold on my account and my credit card showed me that a dollar was charged to my account right away as it did in the past when I use BP gasoline. Then the pump kept asking me for my reward I press no it didn’t work I press cancel it cancel my transaction I went on the inside to talk with a representative they told me to come back out and do it again and press the enter button when Rewards popped up it still didn’t work I wound up going to another gas station which is very frustrating. Once I get to the next gas station the same thing happened it said see attendant I wound up having to pay on the inside which defeats the purpose of having the app however it’ was $.20 off which lets me know that my card is connected to the app but it’s not working at the pump when I fill up if the same thing happens I’m just going to delete the app and switch gas stations I guess I’ll try shell gas. Sorry for the long rant and no punctuation, I’m using talk to text for this review.

- Why complicate things?

At BP I used to be able to enter my number or swipe my loyalty card at the pump. I cannot do that any longer. Why? I have to download this app and use it to pay. Or use it to link my cards so that the discount applied automatically. The latter wasn’t clear until I tried paying at the pump a second time (worked fine only once, a problem that BP acknowledges is common but apparently won’t fix). After calling my banks, I tried removing all my cards and adding them back but could not add anything back; kept getting an error message. So I called customer service which says it flagged my account for fraud but cannot explain why. That’s why I can’t make payments in the app. The rep informed me that I should just pay at the pump (then why have an app?!?!), and as long as my cards are linked to my loyalty account the discounts will apply. But of course, now I can’t add any of my cards. The app just says there is an error. Over and over again. I am over it. Why over complicate things with unnecessary tech? Edit: The ALT ID option is missing from most pumps. I used to be able to press cancel and get it to come up but at least in my area, since the program changed, it doesn’t work anymore.

- Can’t use it.

I downloaded the app right as the rewards quit. I used the normal rewards every week with my job causing me to travel a lot. Now I go to use this new app and get it all set up. I went to a local bp station and went to log in. I had no issues logging in. Once I logged in and proceeded to pay it told me I wasn’t at a bp station. The bp station was 100 yards down the road. So I got out and paid for the gas. Thru the reader and didn’t get a discount. Then out of curiosity I went down the road to the “gas station” location and found it to be a rev park with no gas station. The gas station was put in the system in the wrong area. So now it wants me to pay for my gas down the road from the gas station pick a pump and hope it’s open. Or let someone steal my gas. My company request we use Exxon since we get a discount with them but with the rewards I could get one with bp but now the gas card that I use doesn’t have 16 digits and it won’t let me load it I have to go to Exxon. I also know this has effected others in our company as well. Also I would get over 5 cent off every fill up when it was rewards but now I can only get 5 percent off. Go back to the old way it was more efficient and convenient.

- [Update: support can fix] The app simply doesn’t work, no support

Update: after a fifth attempt to reach someone at the 800 number, I finally got through. Someone answered surprisingly quickly. The solution for this was that they had to delete the account from their side, I then reinstalled the app and registered a new account. My promotional rewards were not lost doing this. Everything seems to be working now. Original review/issue: I’ve been trying to use this app since the beginning of October, but it doesn’t work. Every time I choose to log in to my account, it simply goes back to the same page where you can choose login or create account again. I’ve called BP’s support number 4 times and waited on hold for over 45 minutes each time, never reaching an actual human being. The automated message on the support line has continued to say that they’re aware of an issue for weeks. I don’t know how an obscure gas app could possibly have such long hold times or take this long to fix.

- Terrible for many reasons

First it is unreliable. Second it’s a ripoff. Read on. On many occasions I have had the app either refuse to acknowledge I am at a station or refuse to activate a pump. When you can’t rely on something it’s really worse than not having it. I kept using it for the extra discount... until at the end of a month I tried to fuel up all three cars only to have it randomly refuse to work for two of them. I lost my $100 spend because of that and therefore my extra discount. Contacting support was useless so the app went to app purgatory. Until recently when I was towing a boat through an unfamiliar area and needed gas. There was that shiny green station, I read the cash/ credit prices and pulled in. My mistake. After filling up I see it charged me the credit price, even though I used their card through their app! A mistake I thought, I’ll just contact support! Support confirms this is actually their practice! Let me say that again for those not paying attention. If you use the BP app even with a BP card at a BP station you WILL BE CHARGED THE CREDIT PRICE. I’m officially done with this company.

- Why aren’t Current Gas Prices listed??

I was excited for the new app. It took me almost 30 mins to get it to set up my payment card. It ended up being a security issue with my card but there was no way from the BP end to contact anyone at the time to do it. And no way to get the discounted price without the payment set up. Another bigger issue is that on Speedway, we can see the current prices at any station anywhere on their locator. I cannot find anywhere in the BP app where it shows the CURRENT GAS PRICES, not even on the STATION LOCATOR page. I also cannot make a list of Favorite Stations near me or the ones I would use when traveling multiple times a month between home & Wauwatosa or Indianapolis to take my son to college & visit my Grandbabies. I normally plan my trips to land my fill-ups based on current prices. If I can’t find the prices at BP stations, I will just keep my gas stops at Speedway.

- Great overall

The app is intuitive enough to use once its setup. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the start up of the app (once I’m at the BP station of my choice) takes noticeably longer to load than any of the other gas apps I use. Maybe look at using async methods within the webservice application and have certain aspects of the app to load one at a time while the rest of the information (the cents off) loads. When I first started using the app I thought it froze up since the UX just shows a gas station image for approx 15-20 seconds with no perceived activity by the app; maybe have a BP waiting/loading indicator. Other than that I love the convenience of not having to use my BP rewards card and then use my credit card for a gas transaction. Keep up the great work on the app; it’ll only get better!

- Works really well

Overall, I love using this app because I don’t have to swipe a card at the pump and worry about checking for skimmers on the card reader. When I travel, I occasionally end up “losing” my reward because of paying the credit price at a station that charges different rates based on how you pay, which irritates me. The one problem I’ve had with the app itself is accidentally using the wrong card due to it defaulting to the last one you used. I don’t always use the same card, and it doesn’t prompt you to choose a card for the current transaction. I’ve done this twice, so I just try to be more mindful to check it. It would be better for me if it prompted you to select the card like it prompts you to select the pump number. Not sure if that’s an issue for anyone else.

- BP Fleet Cards and Cash Not Accepted

They won’t even accept their own BP fleet cards? Unacceptable since linking a card is now a requirement. The previous rewards system was much better as it could be used independent of a linked credit card. This one is virtually unusable for me now unless I’m driving my wife’s car, since my day to day vehicle is a company car. At the very least the app should allow one to choose to pay at the pump so the customer can swipe whatever card they want (like a fleet card) or even pay cash if they want. The previous reward program often had me willing to go out of my way a little to fill up at a BP (probably 3 out of 4 times). This new rewards has made me not care at all if I go to a BP or not. Maybe it’s time to switch to another fleet card that offers rewards for using theirs at their stations? I’ll wait a couple more months to see if BP gets their act together and stops penalizing fleet card users or people who prefer to pay with cash.

- Future Technology At The Pump!!!

So, I too, had experienced a few glitches with the app when I first started using it. But since then, it’s worked pretty flawlessly. I can see my rewards balance right away, and be able to let them know whether or not to use it, or let it ride. Also it helps to tell you where the nearest BP pump is, especially when you’re somewhere you’re not familiar with. And lastly, it’s great not having to pull out my wallet! I gas up a lot in New Jersey, where you can’t pump your own gas. So I pull up to the pump, enter the info into the app. Tell the attendant how much, which grade, and whether to use the reward or not, and then tip and go! I also appreciate the extra rewards BP sends as well, keep up the good work BP!

- BPFuel Prices With the app and a credit card.

BP is not the least expensive place to get gas. However I have had a BP card for years and recently I downloaded the app on my phone. I get $.10 discount per gallon just because I have the credit card, and another five cents as long as I spend $100 a month, which is not hard at all. I have quite a few fuel apps downloaded and some are used regularly. However I do use the BP app more because even though BPs fuel prices are a little bit higher usually than others, with the $.15 discount the price usually beats everyone else. And I also know that I’m getting a little bit better fuel that I may be getting at the local corner Joe’s gas station.

- At least some of you can actually use the app!

I have been trying for over an hour to log in with my credentials from my years old BP rewards account and I keep getting a “sorry your session has timed out” message after I want to say the full 7 seconds it takes to sign in. 🤷🏽‍♀️ I wouldn’t have an issue with the credit price thing people keep complaining about- that’s not new, the station doesn’t know/care you are using your debit as a credit card. They have to pay the transaction fee nonetheless. You can choose a station that is “cash/credit same price”. Hopefully the developer team will fix the bugs so that more people will use what seems to be a great idea.

- Rather Worthless

This app made lots of promises in the introductory email however it’s failed to fulfill any of them. I was promised a $.25 bonus for trying the app but when I attempted to use it at the station in my neighborhood I learned that it did not work there. In fact the closest station was 35 miles away so I made the trek only to pay an additional $.30 per gallon above my local stations price. At least I was able to experience the potential convenience the app could offer. After my purchase I received an email congratulating me on using the app and earning the $.25 bonus. When I didn’t see the bonus reflected in my balance I contacted customer support. After 4 unanswered inquiries I was disappointed to learn that BP decided to cancel the bonus they congratulated me for earning because they deemed my purchase insufficient to remit the bonus. Sadly I will no longer purchase my fuel at BP after I use my rewards balance and instead of sharing the benefits of the app’s safety (the BP station I frequent at the entrance to my community was recently found to have card readers that steal your credit card info which made me eager to share the app as an option at my next community meeting) and convenience I’ll be sharing my dissatisfaction with my network. It’s unfortunate that the app wasn’t better planned prior to making it available to regular customers.

- It’s okay but flawed

The ideal of the app is great! I can pull up to the pump and activate it with just my phone. However I’ve been experiencing trouble using it. The very first time worked fine. Is when I open the app the debit card I registered is missing and I can no longer add debit or credit cards. You will also get charged the credit price which is really unfortunate steering you away from using the app. However since my debit card was linked to my rewards account. Every time I use this debit card the pump ask me do I want to apply my rewards and my rewards account is forever associated with my debit card so I still get my rewards and the debit price using my card. So great but fixed the app PLEASE!! I like BP so I want to use it. Also with the receipt it would be nice if you could print it or download them in pdf format.

- I was skeptical, but it works well.

Our local BP station is pretty basic. I use it because I want gas with a better detergent than the Raceway gas. I’d used the previous BP rewards program and it never worked as the stations didn’t recognize my Amex card and as I don’t intend to carry around a separate reward card I only used it for my ‘play’ car which only gets gas once a month. However this app works really well recognizing the station and the pump right away. It unlocked the pump and processed the payment accurately and fast then sent an email receipt. I think I’ll be using it for all our gas locally. Going on a couple of road trips soon so will see if it continues to impress. Fingers crossed!

- Individual results may vary

In general, the app works well, the individual location participation makes it sad. The premise I was led to believe was that, if I linked my BP gas card to the app, discounts would be treated as they are at the pump, BP cards are treated as cash sales, thus the discount would be off of cash prices. This is true in some stations, but not all! My most recent purchase was using a 10¢ discount, but the discount was taken off of the credit price, so, the actual discount compared to the cash price was a whopping 2¢! Corporate needs to get all of its franchise players on the same page, to make the usefulness of the app more appealing.

- Slightly disappointed

I liked the app & using it is very easy. The downfall of this app is that it takes extra money off the card to secure a payment. The example is if I put the exact amount of cash on a pre paid card...the BP app will take the entire funds to secure the payment. Just to let you know...I wasn’t able to get any gas at all afterwards. That’s totally not fair or right!! The funds eventually appeared back on the card but I wasn’t able to use the card because the same thing would happen again. So instead...I should have just used cash from the very beginning. This needs to be fixed or adjusted somehow or some type of way so that stuff like this will not continue when you’re down to your last & just want to get gas.

- New BP rewards program registration

Tried multiple times to re-register for the widely anticipated NEW and IMPROVED app without success. It is a circular firing squad, poorly designed and explained directions. New app and old app look the same. You are given several options on the first screen, register, register with PayPal, or already have an account? Well are we to register for the new app or are we already an account holder? I tried all 3 options (including PayPal). The PayPal option bounced back and forth between the two apps, not letting me confirm at BP. The already an account holder option wouldn’t confirm either but would pop an error message saying not connected to internet, try later. Not true. When this app was originally released I had multiple issues also and finally gave up trying to use the new conveniences from BP. Thanks for nothing.

- It does not always work.

Today, March 23, 2020 There was a problem when I used the app today in Rosemount, MN. I suspect that the pump I was using did not reset completely after the previous transaction. When I received a message on the app that the pump was ready, it didn’t work. I tried to run the app a 2nd time from my phone, and it never connected. Lastly, I closed the app on my phone and turned my phone completely off. I then went to the pump and pushed the cancel button and waited for the pump to reset. Next, I powered up my phone and was able to use the app successfully, but that is a lot of monkey-business to use this app. I would have left my feedback related to this transaction from the app itself, but it timed out; so I am leaving feedback/ a review here (typed quickly on my phone) because it is the best that I could accomplish.

- Love this app

I’ve been using the BP app for several months and love it. Why? Three reasons. 1) Security. I’ve had my credit card skimmed more time than I can count and with this app NEVER have to even take my card out of my wallet. 2) convenience in managing my credit card receipts. I don’t have to worry about paper copies when I enter my charges in my accounting software...it’s all right there in the app. 3) Ease...I can find a BP near me, select and activate a pump without ever getting out of my car. Great when it’s cold outside or late at night when I don’t feel comfortable being exposed for longer than necessary to pump my gas. Great app!

- New BP app and rewards! Home run!

Was really pumped (pun intended) for the new rewards program. I have to admit I was a little nervous about what changes they’d make but the perpetual $0.05 off/gallon is awesome. I’ll end up with more savings compared to the old program. Right on! I was totally surprised (in a good way) by the new app too. They really nailed every part of it. Even the new icon looks great on my home screen. Love how everything has been redesigned and it looks very modern and clean. Set up was super smooth and it’s very easy to navigate and use. No problems updating settings, adding payment, checking rewards and history etc.

- Great App for Cold Weather and Safety!

Overall, this app is working well. You can set up multiple payment types (credit cards, debit cards, PayPal, etc), which provides flexibility. Paying for gas is a simple wizard process to select the pump, payment type, the purchase, all while sitting in your car. For cold or inclement weather, this avoid the hassle of standing at the pump to go through the credit card process, or even running inside to pay. Similarly, this provides for a further level of safety in that you can leave your credit/debit cards in the card, and focus on pumping the gas.

- Ease and versatility

Easy enough to use. Set up several cards in App and easy to select one before each purchase. Receipt is automatic in App. Tracks points to App account regardless of which card you use. Good job here! Update: I just discovered BP doesn't want to continue showing appreciation to return customers and are scrapping the reward perks. Evidently I posted the rave review prematurely, because the reason I liked the app is going to be irrelevant. That is what I expect from big corporate execs that are out of touch with real people (AKA paying customers).

- Inconsistent

I have had problems linking pump to phone, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t on my Apple I7. I was just recently rejected from using the BP credit card linked with BPme app. I then took the card from my wallet, the one rejected, and successfully made the gas transaction. I have always been using this credit card within the app with no prior problem. This app takes more time then if I went to the pump with my BP credit card. Thinking about dropping the app. After finally contacting a rep for the BPme app, I was told that they were having problems with there own BP credit cards. The issue is now resolved and is working again.

- The app is great but no discount

The app is great, always picks up the correct station and unlocks the gas pump. The only issue is, paying is always credit, even when using PayPal as a payment. The BP Stations always charge 10 cents per gallon when using the app. There is no way around it, so I end up paying 5 cents more a gallon since the discount is only 5 cents. I am not sure why BP has the app, if they have a 10 cent discount, then it would be great, at least this way I am paying what a cash paying customer is paying and not 5 cents more. Another gas company allows you to pay the same amount as cash by using their app. I use PayPal to pay. It’s not PayPal credit, it is the money I have in my account with PayPal.

- Loyal customer but I had it up to here

When this first came out I gave it the benefit of the doubt. Downloaded it put my new card which came right around the same time this dropped, everything was cool until I got to the gas station and sitting in the car for almost an half hour bc it wasn’t signing in and then when it did it wasn’t picking up the pump I was at so I deleted it that’s when everything else went crazy. Signed in went to put the card back in now it saying unable to add my payment method. I called them up explained the situation to be told to call my financial institution. Just to be told it might be there app. I don’t want to link my other credit card bc I get rewards with the card I’m tryna link I just hope they do an update so I’m can change my review until then this gets a 1 star

- I *HATE* having to use an app to get my discount!

1) Life is already much too complicated and overly tech dependent. My card was simple and 100% effective. I would be okay with having an app as an option along with card use for those that wished to. 2) Apparently you’re either not aware that not every person who needs to buy gas has a smartphone, knows how to use a smart phone, or has unlimited and universally accessible WiFi or you just don’t care about people who can’t use or afford them. To keep my phone bill as low as possible, I have a “pay as you go plan” and often can’t use apps when I don’t have a WiFi connection. This is an absolutely classist system for providing a “benefit” to your customers. You seem to want us to be more loyal to you than you’re willing to be to us.

- Nice concept...

I like the app and the ability to receive rewards. However, I received a fraud alert message on the BPMe app 5 months AFTER I had been using it at one particular gas station in St. Louis. First of all, why on earth did it take soooo long to notify me of a “potential” fraud? Secondly, after customer support “fixed” the issue and updated my home address and with my bank, I relocated to a different state. I was still receiving the fraud alert message forcing me to manually use my debit card, thus not being able to take advantage of the rewards program. I’m STILL not able to use my debit card, I’ve had to link my PayPal account to the app in order to use it. Very frustrating! 🤦🏾‍♀️

- New App 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

I loved the old app. I never ever had a problem with it. First, when I installed the new app it did load correctly and it took numerous calls to even get it installed. Second, it took over 2 months for me to be able to use the new app because it would not let me use my BP credit card. Third, I was using the app and not getting my credits. Forth, is now when I use the app with my BP credit card I’m charged the credit card price instead of the cash. I went back to just using my credit card and deleting the app. The customer service is horrible and no one gives you the same answer or even helps you. It is much easier using the credit card. Sad because I use to love using the app.

- Good when it works

App was updated 4 months ago! I agree with the review from March 4 about the app working for awhile. Then, all of a sudden it stops using your linked payment information! The app still shows closest BP stations and your total rewards. It even adds rewards when you use your linked credit card at the pump or login at the pump using your phone number or other rewards information! But the app stopped working with ANY of my payment cards! I have entered the information manually several times now but I get the same error message that the app cannot add that card please try another one. The website works just fine, so far! Please fix the app so it will accept and keep payment information!

- Debit card is credit price on the app

I recently emailed BP about why I’m paying credit card prices at the pump even though I have my debit card on file. The pump says debit same as cash. They responded and said it will be a credit card purchase. That’s a sham to people using the app if they have a debit card on file and expecting the cash price. I hope others are paying attention to the pump price. There’s a big difference in prices between the two. I won’t be using the app anymore, I will just swipe my card to save a lot more money. I’m only giving 3 stars, I like the app function but poor options on allowing a debit card use to get the cash price.

- New App, No Points, Jo Rewards, No Cust Service

Are used to love going to BP, especially because I got BP rewards & use Gas Buggy & it is Highly featured in GETUPSIDe app. Plus, excited with the Nistalgia of Amaco Resurgence in Chicagoland. However this new App, I have filled up 10 time not one point, not one cent off. The app has all my pertinent info, I put my rewards in at pump or desk: nothing. Tried calling ‘customer service’, no humans, all automation, all on hold, no remedy. If someone reaches out to me and get my Rewards active on account & app. Till the , I’m frustrated & done, will but be Fueling & Purchasing elsewhere until Someone contacts me & fixes this issue. If so I’ll change this review. If nobody reaches out to fix this issue, then anyone who can read this take heed & BP deserves the 1star along with the absent customer service.

- Absolutely horrible

The whole process is convoluted. First the amount of security in this app, exceeds my banking app. A 10 character password followed by MFA via text and then a pin. Simply ridiculous. Then, I have to sit in my car and hope I have good signal in order to start fueling. That took almost 2 minutes just me sitting in my car waiting for the app. There are some things that aren’t optimized by using a phone and paying for gas is one of them. Do you know how easy Shell makes it? All you do is swipe your credit card and boom the rewards are there. I only downloaded this app because Amex had a discount promo. I will be deleting it and use Shell exclusively from now on - it is so much easier to use.

- No way to add gift card.

App is decent slow at times and sometimes it doesn’t work. I appreciate contactless payment. I have a gift card and no way to use discount with it because there is no way to add a BP gift card! Also the extortion of spend $100 per month to receive a $0.05 per gallon discount, come on. I can go to Speedway across the highway and $0.06 off per gallon for no dollars spent per month. Hey marketing people this isn’t competitive! Fortunately for BP I have been getting the discount anyway thus I have continued to purchase fuel (I prefer their fuel and that gas station). But take note the moment this ends and even if I don’t quite hit a $100. Your business WILL end!!!! It will cost you more than a nickel a gallon in the end.

- Decent App

It’s an okay app! Took me forever set up, and when i finally got things working I was still very confused on how it worked! Love the concept of not having to so hand to hand payment, especially during this time, but I don’t like that you can not choose your gas amount! I live in a state where gas stations are full service so my gas is pumped for me! The attendants will often walk away to help other customers, so if you’re not paying attention you could end up with a full tank when all you wanted was 20 worth of gas!!!!!! I will only be using the app when I know I’m going to fill up!! If I can’t punch in the amount I want, it’s useless!

- Not working when adding a new card

I was at the pump to fill up gas today. For some weird reason the Amex card I stored in the app before was gone. I did not know what’s happened thought it was erased maybe due to this app’s recent update. I thought it’s not that of a big deal then I can simply just re-add the card back to the app to pay. Then I figured I was totally wrong. At the pump, I tried to add my Amex card more than 20 times, every time it will say “there’s something wrong” so the card cannot be added for payment. This is so embarrassing that I had to pull my car to the parking lot and play with this dumb app thought that was something I did wrong. BP, just fire the ones designed this app then you won’t lose business with ordinary customers. Thank you!

- Great app to me!

Not sure how it’s not working for other people. But, the app works just fine with me. Also, when you’re using the map to find a gas station to pay for gas through the app. You have to look for the gas station with a rectangle symbol sitting on the location and the words “BP Me” to actually use the app to pay for gas. App seems to work fine so if you follow those instructions while using the app. You will be ok. Everybody else is trying to give negative reviews and probably didn’t pay attention to detail.

- Pretty good

The app is a great concept that is executed pretty well. The only reason I don’t give it five stars is the fact that occasionally he can’t seem to find my location. I’ll be in the parking lot of the gas station ready to pump gas and it tells me something to the effect of “can not find station” And then he will tell me that the closest station is the station where I’m currently parked. I don’t know if that’s the app or my phone or my network. Are usually turn my phone off and turn it back on and it works. That’s only happened a couple times so overall I’m very happy with the app

- So simple and user friendly

Downloaded this App to get a one time CC perk and now using it regularly. Offered a 5 cents per gallon discount to start. If you spend $100 in a month you get the discount for the next month. Visual that shows where you are to the goal as well. When you stop at station with “enabled” pumps you can order your gas from inside your car, select pump and payment method and pump adjusts prices, leave phone in car and get out to pump. Has receipts too if you need them.

- Doesn’t work well

I love the idea, but every time I’ve tried using it ... it stalls, disconnects, have to sign in again, this repeats several times, then it might work after that. Usually have to re-enter CC info or PayPal a few times as well, then it finally says it connects, then while you are filling up ... it says there is a problem again. Please fix/update or I’m deleting it. Customer service is non-existent. That’s why I’m writing review here... hoping for an update. 🙏🏻 It’s a shame because I’m a health care worker on frontlines, and thought this would be convenient , but instead I have to stand there and play with my phone for about 5 minutes before I can even pump. I could have been pumped and gone twice already. 😒 please fix!

- Good, but improvements could help

Overall, I love being able to use the app on my phone instead of at the pump, especially when the weather is bad. One enhancement would be the ability to add favorites. I almost always get gas from the same station. It’s annoying to have it have to find my station when it’s almost always the same. Also, some kind of BPfamily would be nice. My husband and I always have rewards but because of my daughters car and miles driven, she doesn’t. Some way to earn and redeem rewards as a family but still have individual access/accounts would be great!

- 50/50

So far so good, super easy to pull up and unlock the pump. I hate having to go inside to prepay, this keeps everything super simple!!! And simple rewards every time, no more waiting to use 1 reward every few months. I have only 2 issues..... not every station is the same. 1 station I visit debits my account $100 every time I use the app, I then have to wait several days for the proper monetary transaction to process. Secondly, if you are planning to go inside for a purchase, you have to pay for that separately. I would prefer being able to unlock at the pump, and include my pop, snacks purchase on the same ticket.

- Love the savings

Love the app!!! It is about time that an app is created this quick an efficiently however, only thing I would love see change or added is that when pumping gas it doesn’t allow you to select the amount of money you would like to pay if you do not want to fill up and if the employee or yourself isn’t paying attention it will end up filling it up when maybe you meant to fill up $20 or so. Besides this I enjoy it very much and hope this gets added soon.

- Won’t connect so what’s the point?

Downloaded this app and have been able to use it a few times however recently the app will not allow me to use my finger ID. I did not remember my password so I had to reset it without WiFi burning my data. Tonight I was on way home from work and tried to get fuel—finger ID wasn’t working and I couldn’t login. Reset password AGAIN and had to use cellular data to check email then had to check another email for a pin # and even with those it will not login. I stopped carrying my bp card because the app had been working. Now it won’t even connect over WiFi. Been a loyal BP customer for years but this is absurd. Very disappointed and very glad I stopped for fuel AFTER work and not before!!!

- Very Convenient

I find the app to be a convenient method to find BP gas stations and pay for fuel. I would like to be able to use Harris Teeter fuel reward points when using the app to pay for gas. I would also like to be able to add BP gift cards as a payment method. I’ve used $75 in gift cards last week and my driving pattern will be like this for a few weeks, but not being able to link the cards doesn’t allow me to take advantage of the discount when using the app.

- Concept good

Overall like the design, process, and capabilities. Beware that if you don’t use the BP card, the app submits the transaction to your card company as a manual transaction that for me at least is frequently blocked as fraud. The process fails but does not tell you why. I figure it out when I get the fraud card services calling me. This occurs with one card at least 30 percent of the time which is causing me to not make the effort to seek out a BP station. Please BP, update the technology to leverage Apple/Android pay I think it would be a cheaper transaction than manual as well.

- Fixed! Thanks BP!

PREVIOUS REVIEW - Something has gone terribly wrong! I’ve been using the BP app for a couple of years and I loved it! In the past 2 to 3 weeks every time I go to open the app it cannot find me or my account for several minutes to 10 minutes. It sits and thinks and thinks and thinks, and then all of a sudden my info pops up. Who wants to sit at the gas pump for 10 minutes waiting for your app to load? Again, this app was phenomenal. I used it all the time and loved it. Hey, BP me, fix the issue or I’m going to use my gasbuddy app. It’s a lot of work for five cents! The convenience is gone! I’ve logged in online and check my account and everything is fine. I deleted the app and reinstalled. Same issues leg times are about 10 minutes to load my payment my history find a station etc. etc.

- Won’t accept BP card as payment

I looked forward to using this app when it came out I entered my BP card, bought gas, and was impressed with how slick it was. Then I got an email thanking me for getting the app, and saying I was almost done, I just needed to enter payment info. Hmm. Odd, since I'd already done that and purchased gas with it. The next time I tried to use it, the only option for payment was my paypal account. I attempted to add my BP card, both by scanning it and by manually entering the account info. No matter what I tried, all I ever got was an error message (see below). I deleted the app, reloaded it, and tried again, only to get the same result. I’ve tried calling and emailing and cannot talk to a human. I give up.

- BPme

I use it every week, but it just doesn’t flow. You should not have to go back a screen. Routinely, you don’t need to review the details of your credit card. I do have a charge card, in addition to PayPal, but I have the card selected as default card. It takes too long for the app to process to the check mark, before you send all the information to BP. Time how long it takes from start to when your service man is able to start fueling. Having previously used Cumberland Farms, I believe their app is faster.

- Great idea but needs improvement

The concept is great when you think of all the card skimmers out there. I read the reviews and figured I would try it anyway. I really like the app and concept however it’s very slow. The last time I tried using it, I was sitting next to the pump and it was showing me that i wasn’t near the station. Maybe it was a one time glitch. Either way I will continue to use it as I like the feeling I don’t have to swipe my card.

- AWFUL NEW PLATFORM!!!!

This new app platform STINKS!! Rarely has a pump/station recognized the app. When it does, either I get a technical problem error or it says my card had been declined. I’ve checked with my bank they say the declination is not on their end. I also have a separate gas card for my work car and the app won’t accept the input to be kept in my profile. Since the roll out of this app I have yet to be successful in making a purchase thorough it. I have inputted my number at the pump as a fallback but don’t see that my account had been credited. I could go on and on about how bad this new platform is but I have better uses of my time. One star rating is a compliment from what I have experienced

- Love it, so easy!

I was wary about this app and whether it was going to work as advertised to really be any easier than paying at the pump. But I decided to give it a shot and I’m sure glad I did! Now everything is right in my phone! No carrying a discount card, getting out my wallet or fusing with paper receipts. It’s all right on my phone! And to be able to start the pump from my car on cold days before having to get out and pump is a nice little perk too!

- Annoyed

This app has a lot of potential but I think it should have been further developed and tested before being released. There’s no option for me to remove the card I have linked to the account and the reward amounts seem to fluctuate. After my first pump I had 4cents in rewards, second pump gave me 6cents but the 3rd pump brought it back down to 4cents. Rewarding is unclear and I’d honestly just rather delete the app but without an option to remove my card first it’s as if they’re locking you in. It’s also annoying to have to punch in the 4 digit pin every single time. The app already has my Touch ID linked so why do I still have to enter the pin? It’s annoying and not practical when you’re in a rush.

- Does not work

This is useless and false advertising! The station locator shows that all gas stations works with the app. Stopped at the gas station i usually go to, opened app, selected pump and have verification to use the pump.....but the pump is not activated. Tried a second time - same thing. I drove to the next pump, same thing. After I went to the third pump, I walked inside the store just to find out - “THE APP DOES NOT WORK HERE BUT YOU CAN STILL SWIPE YOUR CARD THAT YOU SETUP YOUR ACCOUNT WITH AND IT WILL RECOGNIZE YOUR REWARDS” Well guess what , when you use a virtual number from CAPITAL ONE (for obvious online security reasons), the pump wont recognize your card , therefore my $47 purchase was in vain. Why roll this program out ... if it is this useless?!! And why do false advertising stating that the app works there .... when it really does not activate the pump for usage AT ALL!!?? Absolutely false advertising and poorly planned and rolled out. I see the potential but this is very frustrating !! How can we find out which gas stations REALLY work using this app and not just pretend they do?

- Won’t let me log in

I have been using the BP app for about a year. The latest version is crap. First it started out telling me that my bank has denied the transaction. Checked with bank and there wasn’t a problem. After I log in and enter in pump info, I get the message “Your bank has denied the transaction.” I go ahead and pump my fuel and the app will then say the transaction is complete. This happens with every transaction. Now, very suddenly, the app will not recognize my 4 digit pin. I reset the pin and it won’t recognize that either. For such a large corporation with such a large revenue one would think they would invest more money into making an app that works. Very disappointed.

- Impossible to register/Pay at pump did not work

Had difficulty registering. Took more than a half hour to finally get it to work. Kept saying it wouldn't take my password, but when I continued to try to register, it say that I already used that password and I had to pick another one. Should have given up there. The first time I tried to pay at the pump, I received the message "Sorry, we're having technical issues. Please try again or swipe a card linked to BPme Rewards." Tried several more times. Same error message. What's the point of the app if you have to swipe both your rewards card and credit card. App is useless. Will be deleting.

- Disappointed

I’ve been a loyal customer for the past 2 years. I love the ease of the last app, prior to October 1,2019. Now when I’m at the pump it’s telling me that I’m not near a station and therefore I’m unable to set up everything on my phone and not earn my rewards. I’ve tried contacting you all through phone and email, no response. I usually don’t take time out to post reviews but I feel like this “new and improved” app has given me more of a headache. Please fix or I’ll have to find another source.

- Overall pretty good app

I feel like it gets the job done when it comes to a gas station locator. I will have to say it does have a couple negatives. First, I like to take a couple extra minutes to find a bq that’s cheaper. But I need another app/ have to look it up just to see prices. So yeah it’s sort of an inconvenience more than anything but would be nice to have the feature. Second is that your beware only last a month and I feel pressured just to good to bq gas station only. So maybe extending the reward to a couple months might be better.

- Improved!

When I first tried the app, the location I was at didn’t have the capability to pay through the app, so I was disappointed. A month or so has gone by, and now my favorite location takes payment through the app. This is the best because it’s integration with rewards makes it so I don’t have to stand outside swiping multiple cards/punching the keypad - it’s way faster and easier to do it all through the app.

- It refuses to work at a station

I have tried to use it at several stations. Usually, it will say I am not at a station and will not work. Once I walked out from under the awning and it finally let asked me to input my pump number, though every time I tried it gave me a failure message of some sort. I still had my BP gas card, but using it apart from the app does nothing additional in the way of savings. I have an iPhone X phone.

- Not A Good Gas app

#1) If you want convenience and security in a gas app then there are much better gas app than BPme. These apps uses Google Pay, Samsung pay and Apple Pay. That’s the security and convenience that you should be looking for in a gas app instead of this mediocre app by BP. #2) BP takes its customers for granted, they know you have to get gas for your vehicles and you probably have a preference to use their gas so they don’t care about the complaints customers are making against their half bake app. Bp just don’t get it, you could use your credit or debit cards with contactless technology and still get better security and convenience than what they are offering on their BPme app.

- Horrible.

Added my credit card to the app while at the gas station. When I tried to use it to fill up at pump 5 it said it failed to use my card. I tried it again to make sure and it failed again. Cancelled the transaction from the app since I cant pay from it. I tried to use my card directly at the pump and it said see cashier. Cashier tried to ring me up for $20 and it was declined. Left an unhappy customer since I had no other Credit card with me and I can fill up somewhere else if they don't want my business. Got home and checked the credit card and BP made 6 temporary authorizations on it. Waste of time trying to save a penny with this app.

- Much Ado About Nothing

Definitely sub-par from the old plastic card you had in your wallet. Not that the card has any special powers but you had the choice of using your “cents off” or not and letting them cumulate. Now, if you earned a .20 of promo but only needed to fill the lawnmowers gas can you are forced to use it. I haven’t shut off the texted alerts yet, but I have shut off their notification. The alerts are nothing more than reminders that BP exists. Sort of like having kids in the back seat constantly asking “Are we there yet?” After a short while it just gets annoying.

- Great app but!

The app is great but why do you charge me the credit price when my primary card is a debit card from my bank. Where’s the savings 🤷🏾‍♂️. When you use your debit card it is cheaper then using your credit card in ny I don’t know about any other states but these little coins make a difference so there should be something within the app that lets you choose or can recognize the card that you are using is a debit/credit card and you can proceed but until that’s situated I will continue to use my debit card at the pump💯

- Awesome App !

Having the BP reward me app has been awesome! It’s the easiest app to use for getting gas! And during the unprecedented times we are in with covid -19 ...I really like the fact that I do not have to swipe my card or touch the pin pad. All you need is a pair of disposable gloves to pump the gas and you are good to go. It’s so quick and easy. I love the fact I save money every time I pump gas! Thank you BP for making such an awesome app! Satisfied Customer

- Can’t even make an account.

I got this app thinking it would be great for when I’m in a pinch. But I spent 40 minutes being redirected from site to email. I would enter the info on the app. Then I was sent an email to finish and set up a password. The password link appears to work the first time. Then the app closes out and says my passwords are wrong. So I try a different email and I’m emailed again to set up a password but the link is to log in. How do you log in without a password. 40 minutes later and I was never able to make the account. I’m very accustomed to technology (21 years old) so this was definitely a development issue.

- Doesn’t work at all

This app is absolutely awful. It constantly logs me out and I have to log back in multiple times in a minute. I can’t add credit cards to use for payment. If swap to the wallet app to look up my number, I have to start the whole process over again to include logging in. If I actually do get all the information in and try to submit it, then it just spins and the app locks up and I have to start all over again. Just to reiterate, this app is terrible. That was 10 minutes of my life that I’ll never get back. 12 minutes if you count the fact that I felt compelled to write this review because it’s so bad.

- Hung up a little but still works great

I used the app to fill up my truck. I used my reward of $.23 off per gallon to start my fill up and it worked great. However I have a 34 gallon tank and when I tried to use the app to finish filling it wouldn’t accept saying invalid card but after the 4th try it finally let me finish filling my tank at the normal price. Maybe just a quirk but all in all it’s a good app. Just a little hiccup.

- Great when it works

Nice... when it works, which in my experience so far is only about 50% of the time. When it doesn’t work I get out of my vehicle and insert my credit card the old fashioned way (before BPme). Fortunately, it recognizes my 5 cents discount, which is good, but that transaction never show up in my history. I've been using the app for about 3 months now. I've also had to re-add my credit card at least twice. When it does work, I love it, it's very convenient. Please get these bugs fixed!

- It was easy to add my debit & credit cards to

I added three different cards to mine with ease. I went to the station opened up the app & followed the steps, it was very easy to use & it keeps track of your purchases for up to 90 days plus your rewards are easy to see & use or let them build up. I’m glad I have this on my phone. It made the experience much more easier for me!!!

- Where is the love?

I know BP is all over, and each state has different rules and regulations, but here in NY it is common for them to add 10¢ per gallon for credit card use. They wave that fee if paying cash. Most stations (not all!) offer the same consideration when using a debit card. That is the problem with the app. Even though I have linked my debit card to the app, I am being charged credit card prices. Not cool, so I don’t use it as often as I could. The good news is it works without any hitches when I do use it.

- Don’t download

This app was working fine but every time I pulled up to the gas station and tried to use it, it did not work. It would take 5-10 minutes to load or even get signed in I would just end up pulling out my card and paying like that. I have not used this app for a while so before deleting the app I was trying to log in to delete my card number and I forgot my password. I clicked on forgot password but it’s not sending me an email. I have tired several times to log in and it’s still not working. This app needs several updates before anyone uses it and trust in putting the card in this app.

- Update loses login info- password doesn’t work- revised

Need to get new password - takes hours for email - 5th time - editing my review - i happened to be trying to use the App during the sept30- oct 1 cutover to the new rewards system - I understand there may be outage during that time- I was mad because I didn’t have my wallet and couldn’t get gas with the app- i Re-registered and it works fine now.

- Does not work

Went through 50,000 steps to finally set passcode and log in (multi emails for verification) which honestly is fine because I understand the need to be secure. It becomes annoying, when I try to add my BP rewards card as a payment method multiple times and I keep getting the same message “unable to add your card” please try again or select another method. I even restarted my phone. The whole reason I was interested in the app was to avoid swiping my physical card at the pump. My BP card number was stolen not long ago and I wanted to prevent that from happening again. Oh well. So much for that.

- App Doesn’t Work

I received an email the last week of September for me to earn better rewards and etc if I register for the BPME Rewards and download the app. I registered and updated all my information, went to log in and all the app does is buffer like it’s going to allow me access to use the app. But then directs me back to the home page as if I never entitled my log in information and it has been doing this for the past 3 weeks, I’m very annoyed and disappointed. I even uninstalled the app a few times in order to see if that would help and nope that was a complete failure as well. I just don’t get it! Please do better!

- Good so far

Haven’t had any mishaps with the app as of yet, I’ve been using it for a few months now. I just wish there was a way I could change or cancel the pump if I select the wrong one. I accidentally selected the wrong pump and needed to switch it to a different but had to just wait until it timed out to do so. Even cashier couldn’t cancel or stop it. But all in all it’s a good app.

- Little more work needed

Had 2 problems, 1) I was missing a transaction, and 2) it didn’t show me any of my rewards. I emailed Customer Service about the first issue and it took a few weeks to get a response. I still don’t see the transaction, but I do see some rewards. I also reached out to Customer Service to see how and how often the rewards were calculated, but still haven’t heard back. We will continue to monitor to see if it works.

- Hate the new rewards

The app and old rewards program worked great. Now the app occasionally loads at the pump, and if I’m lucky enough for it to work it takes awhile to load. Also for the rewards program - only 5 cents off for the next month after spending $100?! I don’t spend anywhere near that on gas per month. I don’t even think I spend $50. The new rewards program is not friendly to those who don’t travel much or who have vehicles that aren’t gas guzzlers. I’m going to look for a different gas station and rewards program.

- It’s good but I want my receipt

I like the app well enough though it’s not more convenient than just using my credit card since I have to wait for the app so load and sync or whatever else it’s doing. The extra $0.25/gal I received today was great! My only other complaint is that I normally print a paper receipt and write my miles since my last fill up and total miles on it. With the app I’m never asked if I want to print a receipt and have to go inside the store to request one every time.

- This app needs a lot of improvement

Here I am stuck at a BP gas station trying to use my app, I do not have a credit card or cash on me, and I am being told, while I am at a BP station that they do except BP Me at this location, as told to me by the cashier, and yet the app will not let me log on stating that I am not at a station. Yet here I am. At a BP station. . Half the time this app loses my password and I have to reset it at the pump and resubmit all of my credit card information just so I can use it on a regular basis which is hardly ever because every time I go toUse it I am told once again that my password is incorrect.

- Loving this app

Always been a big deal to make sure I have gas on the days my husband takes our one debit card and almost always seems like I forget! Well we registered it on this app and now I no longer worry because this has made it simple on those days! Thank you! Anything to help make my days easier is always a good thing in my book! ;)

- Unable to log into app -Updated

I can log in on the website just fine. Very frustrating. Update: Support keeps telling me to create an account first. I have an account. Because if I try to click register, guess what, it says this email already has an account. This is beyond frustrating. It’s been weeks that I haven’t been able to use my fuel rewards. I tap log in, input my info and it just returns to the first screen. If I purposely enter my password wrong it will tell me that. I’ve deleted and reinstalled more times than I can count. The old rewards worked flawlessly. This is garbage.

- Debit/Credit

This app really needs to relay to the pump when a debit card is being used. If my debit card is setup on the app, when I pump gas I should be charged the debit price not the credit price. This is a great tool to use since there are so many scams out there with card skimming. This really needs to be addressed. It completely defeats the purpose of not having to swipe your card. A 20¢ difference adds up per gallon. You guys really need to look into this to make this a better experience. Don’t allow another company to come in and do this before you do.

- This would be a good if it knew where it is!

This would be a good if it knew where it is When I’m at a station it tells me to go to station to use the app. I’m at the station and it says the app can’t see the location. I think I’ve been able to use the app to pay for fuel once or maybe twice. Needs some improvement. I checked and told the app to allow at ALL times and still no good. The station has a BIG BP in front of it so I have to assume it is what the sign says it is.

- App doesn’t work

Here is an update to my app experience. The app did work, although it loads very slow. The app identifies gas stations that either don’t participate or their system isn’t working with the app. I went to a station today and the attendant said the app doesn’t work there. He didn’t know why. The app sent me to this station and the station was advertising the new BPme app I left and went to Exxon whose app works and I gained rewards points with them I was a loyal BP Rewards member. Yesterday I went to use the new app I was at the pump, the map showed me at the station and yet it couldn’t find a station (yes the app states that the station I was at participated with BPme. I then used my credit card that I linked to my account. Guess what I don’t have credit for my purchase All the gas stations by me are the same price. It’s time to join someone else’s rewards program, unless this app is fixed by the time I need gas again (later this week)

- Awesome app

This app saved my day, I currently work 2 jobs so I don’t have time to waste with unnecessary trips. I went to get gas one day and realized I didn’t have my wallet. I did not have time to get home get my wallet, get gas, and get to work in time. I also did not have enough gas to make it to work!!! Sitting at the pump having a moment where I was questioning every life decision that led me to this small but frustrating crisis, I noticed the sign to pay from your car with this app!!! Within 2 minutes my “crisis” was solved. app downloaded, pay pal connected, done! The app knew what station I was at all I needed to do was tell it what pump and the pump was authorizing. Best part is I now get rewards for buying gas!!

- Steal you Blind

Well I hate writing this but to many times I’ve been cheated . Every time I’ve purchased items if you don’t watch them they will cheat you . From counting 5 items that are the same and ring up one at a time to missing stamped priced items that has the price on there and they charge what they want. They also will not rotate the food items in their store. This is Dangerous to your health. The gentlemen that run the store believe that standing behind counter is all you have to do . And to ring you up so that the store benefits ever ring . They know how to cheat the Tax Man and customer on every ring?

- Does not work

The new rewards app is useless. Linked PayPal account which kept being declined at pump. Looked at app and it shows a Discover card for PayPal which I don’t have. Unlinked card, re-linked PayPal and it worked for 2 fill-ups. Third was declined for same reason-mystery Discover card listed. Called BP and was told it shows that for everyone (what?) and many users were having same issue with transactions being declined. Worst app ever-I uninstalled and will not buy BP again. You shouldn’t have to wait and go through multiple steps just to get gas. Go back to rewards card or entering phone number.

- Works great for me!

I like being able to do everything needed to prepare the pump inside my car. I’m not fumbling between my rewards card and a credit card, or my iPhone outside my car. When I do get out all I have to do is open my gas cap and activate the pump. Pump finished - Done! Back in the car, receipt on my phone, and I’m on my way. Oh yes - and then there are the discounts!!! Love it!

- Takes too long ask & forces you to pay cash price

This app seemed really cool when I set it up at home, but when I went to fill up, I found that it takes way too long to connect to the pump. I could have used my credit card twice in the same amount of time it took for the pump and the app to sync. Additionally, using the app forced me to pay the credit price for gas, even though I had a debit card connected to the app. So I ended up just canceling the app purchase and using my debit card anyway. Altogether a good concept, but terrible execution. Overall a complete waste of time and energy.

- Yes!

I’ve only had this for a couple of months but I really like it! I have suggested it to friends and family… my credit card is safe from scammers and it makes pumping gas much easier and I don’t have to worry about not being able to see the screens due to sunlight, etc plus I keep getting bonus five cents off a gallon! You can’t beat that!

- Great time saver

While I was skeptical about the upcoming changes to the app, I’m happy to say that I am completely satisfied with the new update!! It works better and is faster than before... I love it!! I also love the convenience of not having to go into the store or deal with the possibility of a card scanner highjacking my credit/debit card information at the pump.

- Unusable app

I hope I can upload pictures cause I have 5 or 6 different crashing screenshots when using this app. It crashes at any processes when you try to use it, log in, add card, find stations. I have a newest iPhone never have any issue with any of my app. And it is not only an app issue but a system issue, it will also mess up your password, I’m first to this BP program and when I type in my new password it shows do not using your old password. I’d rather waste my time on writing this comment instead of trying to get it through just by this nonsense.

- Was not able to buy gas, still got charged!

Edited: After setting up a payment source, I tried three times to connect to a pump, and each time was unsuccessful, with no explanation. Yet I was charged $1 for each of these three attempts. I got no gas and left. I’m updating to say this: The issue may have been that I needed to have WiFi enabled. I don’t believe the app explains that WiFi is necessary, if that was indeed the issue. And still, being charged money without even connecting to a pump was unexpected and seems unfair.

- Love it

This app is Awesome! Used it all over Atlanta Metro! If the gas station doesn’t have the app I move on to one that does! I feel more comfortable (especially when I’m not in familiar territory) and safe especially with the crime at gas stations, using the app. I don’t need a receipt because it since me one as well. So cool! Thank you BP. Feel so much better when my teen uses it too! It’s the safer way!

- BPme instead of the Rewards Card - bad choice by BP

I have been using the BP rewards program using their card, for years now. I fill up weekly due to my long commute and I averaged about $40 per fill up. BP discontinued the card program forcing us to use the BPme app instead. Well I used the app and I am not a fan for many reasons: 1. It takes a lot longer to start the transaction. You have to connect to the station’s Wi-Fi and select the pump you’re on. Some stations connections are very slow. This takes a lot longer compared to swiping the card. Not good in my book especially if you’re in a rush 2. I used BPme in 2 different stations. Both of them charged me a $1 “convenience” fee! This of course negates the gas savings by using the rewards system Needless to say BP has lost me as a client. I don’t understand why they could not keep both the card and app rewards system as many of their competitors are doing

- This App always not working !!!

Don’t bother downloading this app. It’s a waste of time. I’ve complain to support about the problem & still to date, no fix. The app worked for 1 week & then it stopped. Also, participating gas stations systems are always down. Very frustrated with the lack of support in such a very popular company (BP) to be completely ignored in fixing the issue.

- So far

The app was working great I was so excited to use it tbh BUT its been over a month where it has came to the point that Its having issues with my bank. I still use my cc and it does shows in the history that it takes it. Its cool but it takes away the benefit to sit in the car while It unlocks the pump. But overall I wish I had that chance that was given at the beginning.

- Cool idea, less than ideal execution

Fueling up at BP has always been a crapshoot due to the price disparity between cash and credit. I find its consistently cheaper to pump at a nearby station since I do not carry cash. However, I like the idea of BP gasoline and the driver rewards program was appealing to me. The app seems to work well, it’s BP that caused my issues. 1. The labels on all the gas pumps were either faded or peeling, making it difficult to identify which pump I was using, which is necessary for app use. 2. There is no price incentive for using the app. You still pay the credit price. I find this to be odd, but I suppose it’s intentional. For the second reason, I don’t think I’ll continue pumping at BP. I should be incentivized to use the app, but it’s still cheaper for me to hit the Mobile that is 2 buildings down and offers their gas at BP’s cash price- but for every user.
