Love - Hate Relationship. Rating is for the app and not the aids. The aids and feature are 5 stars to me. My first pair of aids so I don’t have anything to compare them to. I did find a great audiologist that I drive 45 min to see. Inman Audioligy in Troy, MI is the best. The app is well, horrible. I know the first job is the aids working reliably but the app interface is where you spend a lot of your time so its rated higher. Think infotainment system in a car. One of the top reasons why people choose a car. Most won’t even consider a car with a crappy system. One of the main reasons I chose these is bluetooth pairing to multiple devices. I have my phone and (2) pc’s I work with and they are paired to. You can only be connected to two at a time. It would be nice to have the ability in the app to select what device you are currently connected to so you can switch back and forth without having to locate the other device, open settings, goto Bluetooth and either turn it off or disconnect the aids. Cheers everyone.

I must be lucky?. I’m new to hearing aids. Have Lumity. I love them, but wouldn’t know anything different. There are a lot of bad reviews for this app, but it’s been nothing but great for me. There was a period where I would have to open and then force close the app to get it to connect. That issue seems to have been fixed with this last update. Or maybe it was the iPhone update to 16.4. Both seemed to happen around the same time, so I’m not sure. Either way, it connects quickly now without issue. All the adjustments are great. Nice to be able to save some of my own programs. Again, I may be lucky, but my iPhone and I love the app and the aids.

iPhone Compatibility Is Lacking. My complaints mirror those of many of the other negative reviewers. I am unable to save any custom changes I make and the customer service rep was absolutely no help. Recently when traveling in my car, I made a temporary change to decrease the volume for my left ear to decrease the road noise nearest the window. Every ten minutes it would switch back to full volume. There is nothing set in my phone with that time limit. Another big annoyance is whenever I pass within Bluetooth range of the TV Connector device, the hearing aids give an alarm tone and sometimes switches programs. I concur that the app developers expertise is severely lacking with iOS experience. This degrades the overall quality of an otherwise excellent hearing aid.

Shame on all of you!. My mom is 90 years old. Ninety. She’s half way through her warranty on her phonak hearing aids and was doing just fine on the old app. Now: completely unusable. We spoke directly to Phonak consumer line to say hey, features and functions in her user manual that she used are no longer available in this new app! We were told too bad, you have to make it work. That was it. Do you have any idea how hard it is for older people to have to get out of the app, relaunch it, try to get it connects to both hearing aida via the app is?! Shame on you! Was there no user testing? Like REAL older users? She thinks she has to get new hearing aids after spending several thousand dollars on yours just 18 months ago. Ya ya follow the link and share what’s wrong. What’s wrong is clearly outlined in other reviews plus you just decided to eliminate functionality that was sold to her and that she used every day to be able to function in different environments!!!!! She lives independently but this change has left her dependent and defeated. Please please fix this!!!

App mi longer works. Follow up: First off, I do want to give a shout out to the developers for their prompt response. After reviewing their instructions and with some experimentation I was able to resolve my issue by reversing the pairing process: 1. Unpair hearing aids from iPhone and myPhonak app. 2. Pair hearing aids with iPhone in IPhone settings-Bluetooth to establish the connection for calls and streaming. 3. Open myPhonak app and complete the app pairing process to add the Bluetooth LE connection so that the app can manage the hearing aids. I am changing my rating to 5 star for the quality of the hearing aids and the excellent service. I have been using this app with my Audeo hearing aids since April on my iPhone 14 Pro Max. After updating to my iPhone 15 Pro Max I can no longer take calls or stream through the hearing aids, if I try and pair them through the app. If I pair them directly with the iPhone they work fine, but then I cannot use the app. This needs to be fixed. Thank you.

Problems with blue tooth connection for listening to music and audible. The hearing aids were working with IPhone 11 but then I upgraded to IPhone 14 Pro Max. Blue tooth would only link to right hearing aid which resulted in the Phonak controls not working. I finally deleted phonak software and I then reinstalled the software. I followed the instructions and I was able to then connect to the hearing aids. Thinks were linked in the blue tooth settings. But I couldn’t link to listen to audible or music. When I returned to settings the blue tooth had disconnected. This kept occurring.

Horrible. I have no idea WHY this company “redid” an app that had Zero issues! Now, you are given only half of the iPhone vertical screen space to control the volume and mute function. In the middle of the day about five days ago, all of the sudden my hearing aids were no longer paired to Bluetooth. I have never had to go in through my settings to set up Bluetooth until this new update. The left and the right hearing aids refused to pair no matter what I do with top speed Internet access. I also think that you are feeling forced to register for your health. What is up with this??? I do not want to have to set this hearing aid up along with “health” options. I go to the gym several times a week and want my mute and volume functions back. Right now, all I can do is stream calls and music. None of the other functions work on this blanking app. This is a very expensive hearing aid that insurance didn’t cover all of. Now, I feel I have no options other than to go into my audiologist and show her my situation. Why am I having to go to all this extra time trouble and effort when these hearing aids cost $6500? Fix this app and stop forcing users to enter and track additional data that has nothing to do with hearing!!!! Maybe my next hearing aid system will come from Costco? Fix this app!!!

My Phonak. Now I understand why they have less than a 2 star review! Customer support was mean and condescending, and ultimately, was no help. Apparently, the app has been “updated”, leaving it worse than before. My audiologist couldn’t help, nor could my Customer Service representative. Also, their response time is extremely slow. I called at noon on a Tuesday and they never called back. I called early on Wednesday, and they did call back within an hour. Unfortunately, the problem connecting my app to my phone was not fixed. Now, I have another call into them, still waiting to hear back. **Trying to rate this app, I need a nickname. Every nickname I enter has been taken. Tells me that this company doesn’t want to hear from me!

App is ok would benefit from these improvements. Please include the following into your app. Full control to adjust anything when streaming thru Bluetooth example phone calls, listening to music or watching any video online; being able to adjust the bass, middle, treble, noise reduction etc. Add Wind reduction control and front focus feature for loud environments to be able to hear the person that's directly in front of you. Show a diagram of the the speech focus so a user can see how wide or narrow you're adjusting to. If streaming thru the tv box, make user have full control bass, middle, treble, noise reduction etc. My hearing tends to fluctuate alot, cochlear hydrops. Age 39. Some days I have to make adjustments thru the app however when making those adjustment for that day it would be nice let a user decide to click on/off auto sense for that particular setting the user created to adjust to the environments. I believe these suggestions would greatly enhance a user's experience using the app. Especially with those with fluctuating hearing loss for the ability to have full control.

Rechargeable batteries 😟. What is the steadily deteriorating battery performance and outrageous $350 battery replacement every three or four years has my deepest concern. My 12 year old phonak with replaceable batteries have served me well over the years with a minimal repair. I will need multiple wireless chargers , at least three or four again the price of charges this is very high also! Buying batteries is cheaper and easier to carry a couple of batteries in my watch pocket then spending three hours waiting for the dead rechargeables to come back to life! The advancements in technology over the last dozen years is a big plus and I like the new program from my cell phone. Only time will tell if I’m making a mistake buying these.

I too dislike this app. I have had ny Phonak aids for 2.5 years and the app that came with it served me perfectly. Suddenly the app is deleted and repaced with inferior software. This should have been beta tested before general distribution. I would love if the old app (the “classic”) could be made available. I have previously listed my complaints and no one even acknowledged their receipt. I am now having trouble pairing with my iPhone.. Never had connection problems with the old app. New problem: The aids just came out of the charger, and bright green. The iPhone app with myphonak reports a charge level of 25% for the left and 45% for the right. The president with this buggy app will lead me to another brand. So unprofessional. So many bells and whistles but it can’t stably control the hearing aids.

Poor App Connectivity. My previous HA’s where made by Starkey, and once the were paired to my iPhone, they remained connected. When turned on next day, the automatically reconnected. Currently using Phonak P90R. They are superior to previous aids and the sound quality is great. The app is another matter. It is very slow to connect to the HA’s, if the connect at all. If they don’t connect, you have to go through all kinds of gyrations, and sometimes that is isn’t successful either. Another problem is that if they’re connected and you make or receive a call, the app will disconnect from the aids and your back in square one with connectivity issues. The solution to this problem is to have the app stay open in the background once paired and connected and or work with the iPhone accessibility function. Come on Phonak, this should be an easy fix for your developers.

Phonak Audeo P90 w/ BiCros. It’s truly a shame that this app does not even work with any hearing device that has a Cros / BiCros setup! It is deeply concerning that Phonak seems to be migrating away from accommodating this sector of hearing impaired community. My last hearing aids were the Phonak Virto (V90) w/ BiCros; those were in the ear. I have worn ITE’s for 36 years, those were the last model to offer BiCros ITE. Since then there has only been 1 new generation of Cros / BiCros and that is the Paradise model. My old BiCros bit the dust so had to get new ones and went with the new BiCros model and now find out that the app doesn’t support them. I do not understand why the Single Sided Hearing is being left behind!!! Very disappointing and is making me really question my loyalty to the brand!!!

Return Last App. After 4 Install-uninstalls just to get both hearing aids to pair to the App(not the iPhone, had that earlier) then it would no longer stream or connect to phone calls. Probably rebooted my phone 4 times too. I spent way too much time on this just to be frustrated at the end. Ended up removing the App and pairing the hearing aids to my phone and it seems to be working just fine. I’ll check back to see if any updates/ improvements are made before I try again. Unlike my self who doesn’t really need the App features much, these difficulties could leave some people in situations where they can’t hear. I sure hope a little more testing on the fundamentals is done rather than being distracted by the new added on features. Thanks for listening.

Phonak can do much better. It’s interesting that I am having very similar issues as Rickus22 that posted on January 1. For the developer to suggest to turn off app sounds is not the answer. Signia, Resound have considerably better apps and turning apps off on my iPhone is not necessary on the Signia/Resound app. Unfortunately, my deadline for returning my Phonak Luminis expired after 2 months. I was going to return them for the Resound brand, but I was a few days past the deadline because I was out of town. Why can’t Phonak replace the app developer and hire someone of the Signia/Resound expertise? According to the app, you have had over 3 years to improve the app, and very little has been done to improve MyPhonak app. And no ability to control MyPhonak with my iWatch Ultra? GIVE ME A BREAK!!! I plan to get rid of these hearing aids as soon as I can afford to replace them with comparable high quality aids that have much better apps than MyPhonak. These Phonaks are excellent aids, but the app makes them worthless, as far as I’m concerned. Hopefully the app developer will respond by saying a major update is very near; but after 3 years? I seriously doubt it.

Poor app. This is my 2nd review, can’t seem to find the original post, so I got a reply to my original post and all it says is that this app automatically connects- yes but it will not stay connected. Have had this for several months and in that time I have had to uninstall and reinstall at least twice a week. I only have a hearing aid for my left ear as I am totally deaf in my right ear (birth defect). Have tried all suggestions from the reply from “Sonova AG” and it still is not working right. Oh well will live with it for a year or so until I can afford something different. Would NOT recommend this app

Ruins the Phonak Brand. This app should not be a part of the Phonak hearing aid experience! I have had Phonak aides for over five years. When I had to update my aides this app came with them for more versatility. This app would be great if it would stay connected to the aides for more than two or three days of use. I have to delete then download the app over and over again every couple of days because it won’t connect to my 5 month old aides! Reconnection takes multiple opening and closing the “doors” on my aides (with brand new batteries) and they don’t connect! Even the bluetooth connection is sporadic - one connects, one doesn’t, back and forth!! I’m contacting my audiologist to request a different app, if such competition exists! Shame on Phonak for partnering with this second rate, or less, app developer !

Not Very Satisfied Now. I knew it was my time to get hearing aids. My audiologist recommended the Phonak Luminary (?). It has now been 4 months since I received them and yes, I could be happier but the tinnitus is a bit too much for the aids, I am adapting and through patience and diligence with the app, I have created new listening environments. Very intuitive and once a person learns the navigation, very easy to use. I have run into what I consider an issue. Under the “Health” tab at the bottom of the screen, the “Wearing Time” is not working properly. It will track the time and then all of a sudden, I see a huge disparities between the left and right devices!! I am talking many hours. It seems to get worse the longer I wear the aids during the day. In addition to this, the “Daily Steps” has a huge discrepancy when analyzed with my iPhone step counter. Can this be addressed - please?!? Thank you very much!! Greg

The app hurts the experience. To be sure the Lumity hearing aids are good HAs and seem to be of good quality. However, the things revolving around the aids are less then stellar. The app is slow to connect to the aids. The app will sometimes switch into streaming mode for no reason. When trying to fine tune the hearing aids the app will often crash or show an error and default to the Home Screen. The aids lack gps to track a lost aid. They lack Apple Watch support. They connect to up to 8 devices but who needs that. It would be better to connect to say 4 devices and be more stable and faster. Imagine being in the checkout line trying to hear through plexiglass and mask and waiting for your aids to connect so you can adjust them. I turned the Paradise back. I would like to keep these but it seems that little progress has been made on the app since I tried the app with the Paradise HAs. Phonak, you can do better.

Versatility User Friendly. For over 10 years I’ve need hearing aids. These Phonak Aids have only one redeeming quality and that with listening to music. Otherwise the frustration they impose with connection of App to aids is deplorable. At crucial moments when in a medical procedure I shouldn’t have to wait up to a minute to adjust. Simple because there had been extra surrounding noise that now drown out the doctors voice. Despite numerous visit to audiologist we exhausted our options to this and other subjects! If I’m in a temporary situation and want to make adjustments and the return to volume control I’m forced to save it, why?,,, it temporary. Even if I save it, in a day or so all the favorites I’ve created are deleted spontaneously! Why ! Never again with these !!

2022 update is a step backwards. The recent update (August 2022) is a mess. I’m too, have had many opportunities to install, uninstall and reinstall the new app. Although both hearing aids will pair with my iPhone, only one will pair consistently with the app and stay connected. The left hearing aid will pair with the app and disconnect within seconds of pairing. The TV connector part of the app fails more often than it pairs. My experience with the previous app was very positive. Strangely, everything worked fine! The new upgrade destroyed all that positivity. Something needs to be done with this failure guaranteed app release. ADDITION: I have installed, uninstalled and reinstalled this useless app numerous times. It’s too bad that this app fails to function properly with Audéo P-90 hearing aids. The old app never failed. The app developer has to know that the app isn’t helping almost 400 users. What we need is an app that quickly connects and stays connected with the hearing aids and then operates correctly with the aids. If one needs an app that will disconnect one’s hearing aids and then become useless, this is it.

This app is so awful it makes the HAs a bad choice. This app is the means by which a user controls the HAs so it does make a massive difference in overall product quality. The litany of flaws is well documented in the other ratings, and I know from my audiologist and the Sonova sales guy she connected me to that the company has hard this loudly and repeatedly from the customer base. But no result. They say ‘we will let the developers know’!! The company has the financial resources to fix this, and I figured they would, quickly, when I got them 6 months ago. I think it is becoming apparent that it is not just the app and software but hardware too. Stay away. UPDATE: Got the stock response of in summary: ‘send us more details and we will look into it’. As if they don’t know the problems! I will amend my review: hardware is probably ok, the app and software are so awful Sonovo management is either incompetent and inattentive or doesn’t care. My stay away conclusion is just reinforced by the response.

Possibly the worst App I have used. For the horrendous cost of Phonak hearing aids you would think they would have an associated app that was perfect. Well, far from it. My hearing aids are constantly being disconnected from the app on my iPhone 14, and frequently cannot be reconnected without reinstalling the app and doing the whole setup again. This is a big disappointment. I love the hearing aids, and the app when it is working. Why can’t Phonak competently develop an app. Your customers have paid for it, that for sure!

Amazingly capable, always improving. My first set of hearing aids, two years ago. At first, there were small issues. But with adjustments and a couple of software updates and they are almost perfect. The app is great, and the streaming gives me news, audiobooks, and music, with great clarity, while still keeping outside sound at a safe level. I haven’t checked since the most recent update, but the one thing that could improve is to have phone conversations carry less background noise. Fine in most cases, but not good when walking the dog on a busy street.

Settings on app doesn’t work when the phone screen sleeps or goes off.. Settings on app doesn’t work when the phone screen sleeps or goes off. You have to keep waking the screen and reselect the saved options. It’s a hassle that should not be. Need to have the options remain functional on the hearing aid instead of relying solely upon the app on the phone. It would be okay to reopen the app to make different changes periodically to the hearing aids when needed. The hearing aids needs to maintain the same settings sent to it by the app until you need it changed and go back into the app and make different changes that needs to remain functional on the hearing aids until you go back into the app to make the necessary changes you require at the particular time.

Sonova seems to turn a “deaf ear” when it comes to this lame app!. I am really sick of having to constantly uninstall and reinstall this crap software when it freezes up. Look at the ratings chart. It looks like someone flipped it upside down! Is there any excuse for this software to be such a failure? It’s not even that complex. Don’t rattle my chain by even mentioning the intrusive attempt for Sonova to take a hand in my health care! Many people claim this isn’t such a big issue since you have some control using the buttons on your aids. Well, I consider this app to be a necessary adjunct to these $6,000 aids! It’s not just an add-on. Good as my P-90s are, when they fail I’ll be looking elsewhere for my next devices. Sonova is doing NOTHING to gain my loyalty in a highly competitive arena.

No Apple Watch support.. I really like the app since the last update. They stay connected now, and work great. I had major connectivity problems before update. The only issue I have now is the lack of Apple Watch isn’t supported. I had a different brand of hearing aids before and they had Apple Watch support and I loved not having to get my phone to make changes. The watch was much more convenient to use to make changes to the hearing aid program, like in a restaurant setting and when your phone wasn’t nearby. This hearing aid system would be so so much better with Apple Watch support. PLEASE make Watch support a reality!

Disappointing updated app. The app creators probably don’t use this product! Because the funtionality didn’t change - just the fluff. There’s more information on user forums on how fix typical app & hearg-aid unit issues that aren’t addressed in the app support feature. For example: you acquire a new right hearing aid unit. The app’s functionality can’t help you resync the pairing of both aids for streaming to both ear units. The app support faq’s do not address this particular and inevitable problem that most all users will experience - and this issue is predominant throughout all Audeo’ users or will be if you require replacing the R-Phonak unit! This has happened 3 times over the past 3 years. That is why these units are ‘for sale’ moreso than the other user-friendly competitors. My Phonak friends were disappointed also. A suggestion: have your app creators get a pair of Phonaks and use them for a year. Then replace the R-Phonak unit. Give them to a six grader to sync and pair for streaming & hands-free cellphone use. Come back and redesign the app instead of adding more fluff! Maybe redesign the charger unit to do these funtions automatically into the cellphone for setup using a non-blutooth accessibility option. ( blutooth is 30 year-old technology! ) My technical background qualify me to make this review.

No Apple Watch connection. Update: I am changing this to one star. Trying to use the app to make any adjustments is constantly frustrating. It won’t connect without Internet ‘the first time’? I have to remember to connect them to the app every morning before I leave the house. I have had them for three months. I wish I could return them and research what company has a better user interface. I don’t understand why this is hard. Apple should make hearing aids and save us all from the companies that don’t put priority on user satisfaction. Maybe I expect more because I’m 42? I’m very happy with my Audeo Lumity. I like being able to get them adjusted through the app during a video appointment. The app takes a very long time to connect and does not have any Apple Watch functionality. So, when I’m in a loud restaurant or crowded reception and I’m struggling, I have to take out my phone and wait sometimes a full minute to adjust the settings when they do not adjust automatically. How embarrassing to stop a conversation because I can’t hear. No one can see I have hearings aids under my long hair so it is very disruptive to need to adjust them from my phone and then the app disconnects and reconnects constantly. For the price point I expect a better user interface.

Hearing aids good bluetooth sдiю. I have had these Audio M30 aids for six plus months, I can't return them! The bluetooth issues are the biggest problem! (not an issue with my SIGNIA's) When ending a phone call or text, they stay on after the call is disconnected or text is sent, it amplifies any external noise (truck passing, people talking, my voice, any external sound). Its really bad if there is any noise is happening at the end of text or call. In a quite environment my voice is very loud and any person or sound is amped up to 85/90 decibels maybe. THIS ISSUE WILL AFFECT MY ALREADY ACQUIRED HEARING LOSS PROBLEM!!! I did all the things Phonak said to do, no help. Talked with the people who talked me into getting them, and they say my complaint is real and there's nothing Phonak will do, there is no fix!!! So I'm just using them as hearing aids, hold the phone to my ear... like in the old days. MY NEXT PAIR of hearing aids WILL BE "made for iPhone"! As far as the sound quality, they are great, more midrange and bass sound, decent music streaming sound. Sure hope Apple would start making hearing aids! Would be a BIG market!

Newest app…connection issues. Love a lot about these aids. Really appreciate the ability to quickly adjust for, say, speech and then I can fine tune speech even further so it is perfectly set for me. Take that to the audiologist and have her built it into my permanent program. However, the November app is causing significant connection issues. It stresses me because I do not know whether I will have connection when I go into a meeting. A recurring issue is that my custom programs may be there this morning, but wiped out this afternoon. That’s a huge stress as well…but immaterial if there’s no connection to the app. Please tweak these issues in the app.

Why all the hate?. I’ve been wearing hearing aids for over 20 years now, and my Phonak Paradise HAs, which I’ve had now for 6 months, are, like, from my 6th different company. They’re not perfect, but they’re the best ones I’ve owned, yet. But this isn’t a place to review the hearing aids. Instead, I want to say that the myPhonak app has worked just fine to change HA programs, and to change the volume or the ambient balance (when my HA is connected to a Bluetooth device like my iPhone, my TVConnector, or my Roger On microphone). I wish it could do more, but it works fine. It connects to be HA when I open the program (sometimes the Bluetooth connection is slow, and I have to restart the app to get it to connect, which is why I only give it 4 stars instead of 5), it allows me to make some changes that I can’t make without the app, and it provides some information about the HA. It supports user-created programs, too, but I’ve never had a new for them. And, after a considerable delay, the latest version of the app is now compatible with the Paradise CROS HA, which, to me, overcame the biggest problem with the app. If you have Phonak Paradise or Lumity HAs, you should definitely download and use this app.

Needs compatibility update. I am only giving 4 stars because over all the app is good but the biggest issue I struggle with is this app doesn’t keep the hearing aids connected in the background I notice often times the hearing devices disconnect from the app then reconnect when I open the app and to be fair it should allow you to keep location and Bluetooth connectivity in the background but this app lacks that plus this app isn’t 100% compatible with the iPhone 14 and iOS 16 so this app is in much need of an update and I will be happy to give your app 5 stars once everything is working like it should.

This app needs improvement.. I think this is a great app…when it works. The trouble is, for me that half the time it doesn’t work because it won’t connect to my hearing aids. This has been very frustrating and annoying. I have enjoyed these hearing aids, especially the fact that they are waterproof. I like to use the app to monitor my daily steps and control certain sound situations, but when I can’t do that I feel that I am missing out on much of what my hearing aids can do.

My Phonak App. This app doesn’t work at all with my hearing aids. The app all by itself changes the settings on my hearing aids and I loose the focus I had it set it on. Phonak has no instructions how to use this app, no manual. I am disappointed in these hearing aids. They change the volume, loud sounds raise the volume, soft sounds turn down the volume. Isn’t it supposed to be just the opposite? It’s like they built hearing aids and an app, but never tested it or write a manual. If you purchased these hearing aids, good luck. That was for your previous app, the comments below are for your latest irritation of your “app” Since I got this new app my hearing aids are stuck to your Bluetooth and the widget stuck to my iPhone lock page with “R- Phonak hearing” stuck to the widget stuck to the lock page even when it is not streaming it steals all my ability to hear people speak like my wife is talking to me from 3 feet away and my hearing aids don’t pick up her speech at all because I am stuck to the Bluetooth on the iPhone when it is not streaming, just a world of silence. I wish I had never purchased this $5000 hear aid.

To The Developers…Why???!. Can you please tell me why you even give your users the false impression they can choose alternate profiles, or equally false, create their own? I have a fully updated iPhone 13 Pro running IOS 16.6. And almost without fail, (probably 98% of the time), I choose a profile “I WANT”…it doesn’t matter if it’s one of the app presets, or one I create and save myself. As soon as I close my screen, (app still running in the background), then when I reopen my screen, the app needs to re-connect to the aids (which is fine even though I don’t understand why they can’t just stay connected when the app is in the background?). But what really gets me wanting to throw these hearing aids and my phone off a bridge, is when they do reconnect, they go right back to the “Automatic” profile! Why is this? I think it’s great that you folks who are waaay smarter than I am, have created apps and devices capable of adapting to changing environments. What I can’t understand is why, when I choose a profile I want the aids to stay on…they go right back to the Automatic profile as soon as I close my screen and then reopen it! Seriously, what is the point of having ANY other profiles if the only way it’ll stay there is if the app is visible and you don’t close your screen? Just doesn’t make sense to me and is beyond frustrating.

Not a problem now, read on…. I was one of those frustrated and annoyed customers, but once I took the time to read the directions for a complete reinstallation, (which meant completely dumping the app, and taking it off of my Bluetooth, before starting over from a fully charged set of hearing aids ), following instructions, everything worked perfectly. I have a new iPhone 14 pro, and it needed that installation process to set up. Honestly, now that it is done there are no problems at all. Everything is functioning perfectly. So that’s it folks, that is what you need to do. PS love my hearing aids!

3/1/23 App update. This most recent update to the app has made the app almost useless. If the app is closed, the LE connections are forcefully dropped. If you leave the app open and lock your screen, after a few minutes the connection is dropped. If you leave your screen unlocked switch to another active app (leaving Phonak app running in the background) after a few minutes the connection drops. Once dropped you have to force close the app, go to phone Bluetooth settings and manually reconnect the LE connections, then reopen the app and wait about 30 seconds for the app to see the aids. By the time you do all this you have missed what ever it was that caused you need to use the app in the first place. I have done every possible combination of rebooting phone, deleted and reinstalled app. Removed repaired aids to Bluetooth and app. When the app is open and connected, it is much faster to switch between activities, particular when briefly switching to/from Streaming sources. You have GOT to do a better job of QA testing the app before rolling out changes. We spent literally thousands of dollars on these aids, and you keep breaking basic functions via half-baked app releases. If you are not already, you need a customer beta team to use the updates in the real world for a time to catch these kinds of things.

App is terribly inconsistent. Hearing aids are good. If you want to use the hearing aids with your phone, look elsewhere. It has gotten much worse since I bought them 9 months ago. I have to uninstall the App and reset my hearing aids almost daily and then only works 50% of the time. Phonak needs to figure this out or it is going to severely impact sales. If they aren’t putting a lot of resources on fixing or replacing the App, their leadership should be fired because it is only a matter of time that it will impact financial results and they will be fired anyway and their replacement will have a big hole to dig out of to get their reputation back. I recommended these hearing aids to at least 5 people who bought them and now tell people to stay away from them because of the buggy App.

Good hearing aids very bad tech.. I have been using the top of the line Phonak Life hearing aids for two weeks, today I am sending them back. The hearing aids are nice but the app and implementation is so bad I can not use these hearing aids. First you do not pair these through the accessibility app on the phone, this causes you to lose functionality. Here are some examples. Through accessibility on the phone I can choose separately what sounds I want to go to the hearing aids. I can have phone calls through my hearing aids and other sounds (like typing sounds) go to the phone. The way Phonak has chosen to do it, ether all sounds go to the hearing aids or no sounds go to the hearing aids. I can not choose to use the phone mike in loud environments. In loud environments people can not hear what I am saying. If I switch to the phone mike I have to also hear through the phone speaker, now I can’t hear. Because other brands use accessibility in loud environments I can turn down the background noise the hearing aids are amplifying and turn up the phone call. This way I only hear the caller, not with these. A lot of times when I open the app it will not connect. If you are on the phone you can not access the app. This has got to be the worst thought out app I have ever seen. I have to wonder if Phonak even bothered to bata test or ask the advice of people with hearing loss.

Phonak - Top Quality Hearing Aides. I have had a moderately severe hearing lost in both ears since birth. They failed to note my hearing lost until I was 7 years old. It was through the a very observant second grade teacher that my severe hearing deficit was discovered. Before that discovery, I repeatedly got in trouble because what was in reality was an inability to hear was chalked up as me beings a poor learner, poor attitude, and as one who had at birth had a intelligence deficit due to having also had a partially arrested hydrocephalus as well as hemolytic disease of some the newborn at birth as well. It once it was. discovered that a hearing deficit in both ears, I was fitted with hearing aides. That made all the difference in the world. I went from C’s,D’s, and F’s to A’s and B’s. So, I have been wearing hearing aides for a very long time. I can say that of all the various types of hearing aides that I have worn over the years, I can say without reservation that Phonak is the very best hearing aides that I have ever had. I will have no other. I hear things now that I have never heard before. Hearing conversations is effortless and clear. So, I unequivocally give Phonak 5 stars ! I would give more, but 5 is the top rating. They are absolutely top rated hearing aides.

This version is Buggy. This new version was automatically installed to replace the previous version with pairing to my hearing aids lost. I followed the posted directions to pair my hearing aids to the new app. All goes well to the point where both left and right hearing aids are displayed to connect. I can only select one or the other. As soon as I select one it goes off and pair but I cannot return to pair the other one. I have repeated the process several times and I can pair only one hearing aid; either the left one or the right one but never both. Another gripe I have is that there are 3 paired connections: 2 for control and 1 for streaming. They are cryptically labeled. I think better labeling or explanation of their purposes would help users understanding.

Tech support is lacking. Sent an email yesterday since we did the latest iOS update and the hearing aids no longer show up to be able to be attached to anything. They are paired. We turned the phone off and on. Turned the hearing aids off and on. Deleted and reinstalled the app. It still no longer works as it did. We explained this in an email with all the troubleshooting we did, to receive an email back asking us to basically turn them off and on again. Very frustrating. This happens with every iOS update. Update: If you had taken the time to read everything we tried you would have seen we did all your basic troubleshooting. We did reach out to your support as we also said here but you ignored. If I could rate zero stars for your response I would. Absolutely awful. Do not recommend.

It works, but auto switches and loses settings.. Recently discovered after 3 years of owning a pair of Audeo M hearing aids that there have been updates to the aids, which my previous provider had never informed me about. My new provider has set up the the aids and phone so there’s several different default profiles that can be set. Even more importantly, these default profiles can have various parameters changed (front focus, loudness, what kind of thing one is listening to, noise cancelling, etc) and the result saved for future use. Which would be great except, after making customized profiles and saving them to new names, after a couple of days the new profiles up and disappear off the myPhonak app. Meaning that I have to recreate them, which works until they disappear again. Don’t know why it’s doing this, but it’s a pain.

If there’s been update just hasn’t worked. Same problems as reported on September 19. I wasn’t fortunate enough to experience the trouble-free last gen but this one continues to be terrible. If you need connectivity for work as I do, and as promised, find another option. Unless you’re ready for the unreliability. Going into a restaurant and not being able to make adjustments until deleting uploading and pairing again. Or sitting down for a zoom call and not knowing if the call will pass through. To be fair, my audiologist and phonak have been responsive, replacing my first pair and responding to calls. These just take too much effort to connect. I can’t speak to the hearing functionality as these are my first ones and I have nothing to compare them to. But I really haven’t had any trouble getting used to them, as I was told I might, and they seem okay.

Way to make a comeback!. So much easier to use, and the bugs are inexistent for me so far. This is a huge change. You can adjust almost any aspect you can think of. By the way, the Phonak Kids app is also really good if you have trouble understanding all the settings on this version. I am thoroughly impressed with the change in this application. I had switched to the Phonak Kids app, because I didn’t like this application, a while back. I noticed that this app now had almost Five Stars, and it used to have pretty poor reviews and I think Two and a Half Stars. It has definitely earned the now highly rated reviews they have gotten. Five Stars from me.

The app designers really screwed up this new app. I have had my hearing aid provider reset my of this app cannot solve the connection issues Bluetooth settings twice with the new app . The app still is not reliable. The app cannot keep the I phone connection with the Bluetooth I am 24 days away from another appointment with my provider to attempt to connect my hearing aids and the connection stays connected. I am forced to store my Phonak hearing aids and fire up my 8 year old Widex hearing aids . I am 80 years old and work on my ranch by myself which is 4 miles from home. For safety reasons I cannot be without access to a phone I can hear since I have severe hearing loss. So if the developers can’t solve the connection issues, it looks like I have wasted over $ 6,000 on hearing aids that are no benefit to me. James Gibson Abilene, Texas

Great hearing aids, app is not dependable. I love my new hearing aids and have been getting used to hearing my phone calls and music through them, along with everything around me. All great up until iOS 16.6 and they no longer stream or show as any option to use on my phone. They pair just fine but limited use for the app now and frustrating after getting used to hearing phone calls through them. I tried support and they didn’t even read the issue and just resent instructions on how to pair. Support really should not assume starting at step one especially when issue is explained. Back to removing hearing aids when I listen to music or stream.**Update** I was curious what response I would receive. Turns out the same as the emails, no help at all, pointing me to email again as though I had not tried two times already with the same canned reply. HOWEVER, the replies do contain a phone number which was my last option. I called and the person on the other end mentioned one VERY IMPORTANT step not in ANYTHING supplied so far. I had to place my hearing aids into the charger to re-pair the third streaming portion of the app. Phonak, I suggest adding this to your auto replies.

Phenomenal Customer Support. I called customer support bc the Phonak app was in a constant state of disconnecting which in turn resulted in my disconnect from this wonderful technology. The rep patiently waited as I downloaded the app again and then walked me thru the Bluetooth pairing process for both devices - the app and my hearing aid. Then our call was cut short. But within a minute they called me right back. Well, that was amazing. In my experience that just doesn’t happen. They were the best and literally made my day and week by taking the time to help me improve the quality of my hearing & listening experience with this Phonak product. Thank you, again.

Poor app. It is constantly losing touch with my hearing aids. It takes forever to connect. I love being able to hear the conversation from my phone but it is off and own. It takes half hour to delete the app and then reinstall the app and jump through the hoops to re-connect it, if possible. I drive 40 minutes to reconnect it at my service providers and by the time I am home, it is not online. I am forced to rate this message to send. I give it no stars but 1 which it does not deserve.

Not improved. Much harder to change mode and especially volume . On iPhone 13 . My arthritic fingers do not need smaller buttons …..

Totally useless after latest update. In this latest update (10/22), have lost all ability to make personal adjustments or custom programs apart from adjusting volume which you don’t need an app for. I want to be able to revert back to previous version.

Please improve. - Extremely slow to connect (new iPhone, new aids) - lacks what other hearing aid apps promote such as IFTT - User experience is quite poor - Would appreciate an Apple Watch version

Poor app. As long as I have had these aids pairing issue a problem. I also cannot save a new program because my phone. It is a apple 12. Hardly an out of date device. About time phonak fixed some stuff When buying next aids apps will play a big part in my decision. As you can see phonak have a lot of improving to get my money again

Useful app. Couple of issues: 1) if my phone is NOT on silent, as soon as I lock it, my hearing aid switches to Autosense. If I am listening to something on my phone (through aids) or when I hang up a phone call, the app switches my aids back to Autosense. 2) after updating software, I lost all my preset remote control settings and haven’t been able to recreate them exactly, since.

New UI is a mess. Just updated the app and I cannot say that the new UI is an improvement. For some reason, the bottom 1/3 of the Home screen now shows some optional content about “Remote Support”. The worst thing about this is that, when I want to adjust volume and the screen of my phone is somewhat dirty, I can’t get the volume slider to go up or down; instead, the whole screen scrolls up/down. Just get rid of the bottom part, make it full screen with a larger volume control. Profiles are no longer accessible via a drop down menu, but buttons at the top can be scrolled left<>right to select. In my opinion, the drop down menu was quick to see custom profiles and select one. The buttons are too big and need too much scrolling to quickly select one. Not sure if an actual human being performed some UX testing on this…

Very poor quality app. Considering phonak specialize in electronics this app is very poor. Slow, lacking instructions or information about how to get the best out of the different settings. The phonak guide is even worse and prevents any feedback. I would definitely try another hearing aid brand

Keeps losing connection with hearing aids. Despite a promising start this latest version of the MyPhonak app leaves much to be desired. It keeps losing connection with my hearing aids , it drops out of tv connection, and requires a reboot of iPhone or of the MyPhonak app before it can reconnect. If it was possible I would revert to the previous version of the app as this one is totally disappointing.

Nearly Useless on iPhone. This app has the potential to be great BUT it reverts to the Autosense setting if you go to lock screen or if the phonak app is in the background for too long. Even the factory installed Restaurant setting behaves the same way. At times the app will even revert to Autosense even when operating in the foreground. This app has greatly reduced the functionality of my ‘paradise’ hearing aids

Problems. Same problem as another’s here. Connect to my iPad easily but poor or no connection to the app. At best only the right one connects. Not good! Mine are a trial pair but definitely colouring my judgment of what brand I will settle on.

Saving custom programs issue. Just brought a Phonak Audeo P90-RL aid and tried saving customs programmes with my iPhone 7. It would not work, even though the iPhone 7 is suppose to be compatible according to the Phonak web site. So I went and brought a iPhone XR $$$$. Just so I could program custom settings and it still won’t work properly. After making changes to create a Custom Program, it may take up to 5 attempts to save the settings. The UPDATE settings button, used to save existing custom program changes, has never worked. When I answer phone calls through the hearing aid, the phone volume drops to about 50% and I can’t find a setting to stop this. I am deaf and need the volume up all the time, it’s why I have a hearing aid in the first place. I can’t afford a $1000+ fine fumbling with my phone to adjust the volume up while driving. Being able to take hands FREE phone calls is very important to me. I’m still in the 60 day full refund period of my hearing aid purchase and this is what I intend to do if there’s issues can’t be resolved. Connects to my iPad and Mackbook Air ok for listening to video clips and training modules.

Almost Useless. I have new top end Audeo P-90R aids and after two days I am actually considering exchanging them for another brand because the Phonak app is a joke. Any settings selected in the app disappear when the phone locks itself or the Phonak app moves to the background when another app is in use. What is the point of the app then? Luckily I had the audiologist program in a couple of settings in the aids which I can select on the aids as I did on my Oticon OPN-1s. By the way, the Oticon phone app is far superior.

Hate it. I can’t even make any changes and the old version is much better

Still no CROS support. The latest version of the app is still not able to support Users with Paradise aids and a CROS-P. This is very disappointing. Has been promised for a long time. Please advise the user community on when this might be available.

Not compatible with latest iOS. No compatible with iOS 14. Safety information pops up and doesn’t go away even when the box “don’t show this again” is ticked. Can’t change the settings because of that

Mostly works. Does the job, can be a bit slow to connect to the hearing aids (Bluetooth issue rather than app maybe). Would be great if there was an option to override the active vent control (force open/closed regardless of environment/streaming etc)

Initial teething issue. Initially the app Couldn't find the aids due to a trial pair I had used with the app. Hit forget device but this didn’t seem to work. Uninstalled app and re-installed. This worked as aids were found and paired quickly and now working with the app. Hopefully this will help others having similar problems. Other than that, the app and aids are working well.

Should be so much better. I’m surprised that this app should be so useless. So much wrong with it. Love the hearing aids and would love to be able to control them with all the potential app options that don’t work. Pathetic.

Downgrade. This is an annoying downgrade for me. Anything under “Adjust settings” no longer works! All the options like “Comfort” do nothing! On iPhone XR. Did anyone test this? UI changes are cosmetic and also annoying. Update 16 Sep 2020: I’ve done what you suggest and contacted support but there’s been no response.

Crash on launch. Hi Sonova. My father has been using this app for a few weeks now with no issues, but recently cannot launch the app because it crashes immediately once the splash screen shows. If it helps you, he is using an iPhone 7 with iOS 12.1.4. He has tried reinstalling. Any help would be appreciated!

Poor connectivity. Every time I use the app it’s really slow to connect then will not recognise the LH aid. If I ‘forget’ the aids both within the app and via Bluetooth it works initially on reconnection then fails. This means I’ve lost the ability to use any different settings. Very disappointed with this new app

Frustration. I recently found this app had updated itself. I have read your support pages and watched the “how to” videos several times. I have deleted and reloaded the app several times because each time I could only pair one of my hearing aids, either one, but only the one I selected first. I am seeing my hearing technician tomorrow for his help. The earlier version did the job beautifully, this one has been totally frustrating.

Great improvement.. Nothing like customer feedback to smarten up a service provider.

Blue tooth. Seems to have trouble with hearing aid keep on connecting to Bluetooth every time I go somewhere in a shopping Centre or turn my phone on to check something. Have to just cancel my app everytime. I connect later back on. Very annoying. Anything I can do about it. ??

Needs more work. So close, yet so far away. 1) Users need to be able to create and store a startup default setting that is “theirs”. The Autosense doesn’t allow this. 2) While you can adjust each aid separately, the minute the bluetooth receives a message or phone call, the aids are re-set - so, if you want to keep settings then the best strategy is to set them for the day and turn off the bluetooth connection. This app could deliver real control to the user, but falls well short of this with clumsy, annoying, short-sighted programming. Come on - lift the game here!

Buggy. There are frequent Bluetooth issues. Unpair, repair, especially when connected to two devices at once and switching between, eg, work and personal phone. In recent days, app having trouble connecting.

New app. I can not even get both aids connected to be able to review. Worse, I can not get back to the old one that worked

No Apple Watch connectivity. Hi Guys, pretty disappointed pay premium price on Lumity L RL with NO telecoil and no Apple Watch connection…… really! Watch is used by your competitors as l had it with 6 yr old Oticon mini rite one! Talk me through it l am using the Trial version from Audio Clinic however l can still take them back and go with octicon More that are cheaper and with telecoil and l am buying top of the range Phonak lumity RL P90 llife with NO Telecoil or Watch features!!!! Really disappointed.

Not so convenient. Have been with Phonak for many years and got the latest devices that they claim to be the most sophisticated! Yet more often than not I can’t connect to the App or even adjust the volume on the devices manually! App is really hopeless! Need to delete it and reinstall it again and again to get it connected to the devices!

Annoying. This updated app is annoying. When I’m listening to a talking book on my iPhone I can’t use the tap function to answer a phone call and every time I stop listening to the book the app “loses the connection” to the tap control function on the iPhone.

Bad connectivity pairing the phonak aids. The newer version is not working properly, my aids pairing connectivity keep disconnect from the app eventhough my Bluetooth connectivity is perfectly fine. I had to remove the app, reconnect the Bluetooth and start pairing my aids again each time I log in the app.

Unreliable. I used to enjoy my Marvel aids from Phonak for TV pairing and hands free calls. Since upgrading to an iPhone 12 phone calls are a nightmare with chronic distortion despite 3 iOS software upgrades. TV viewing is also a nightmare. I just spent 25 minutes trying to pair to my tv streamer. Usual stuff, restart phone, unpair, repair, delete app and reinstall. So I pretty much dislike this experience. Very off putting.

Basically useless. Unfortunately, while this version has a bunch of extra functionality, that functionality only works while the phone is active. As soon as the phone sleeps or even you go into another app, the setting return to default. The only things that hold in this situation are factory set function (eg autosense or music). If you can stick to the old app. App has been this way for at least nine months without change - phonak needs to fix this issue. Therefore currently useless

Age restrictions. Can you please change the age restrictions - my daughter can’t use this app for her hearing aids because of it

Bluetooth connection problems with new app.. I’ve had my Phonak Paradise HAs for 2 years with absolutely no connectivity problems. I use an iPhone, an iPad and a TV Bluetooth connection. They have worked seamlessly together until the new update a few weeks ago. Since then I’ve lost BT connection every day, TV to smart device switching causes Bluetooth fallouts and on several occasions the BT simply won’t connect at all. I’ve followed support advice by uninstalling and reinstalling the app, removing the HAs from Bluetooth list, and pairing all over again. I’ve done this TWICE. Pairing was quick and easy on the older version, and this new app was a nightmare! One of the HAs wouldn’t pair at all, so I gave up in anger and tried again the next day with success. Even after I managed to pair the HAs the issues didn’t stop. When I open the app it take a very long time for the app to recognise the HAs and I sometimes it just shows an error message. In the morning the HAs automatically connected to my devices as they came off the charger….not now…. I open “Settings” to find the Bluetooth is disconnected, and often just won’t reconnect, or one of them won’t reconnect. I was in a noisy restaurant today and couldn’t hear very well so I opened the app to find I had no connections……who wants to sit at a table trying to pair their HAs in company. GIVE US BACK THE OLD VERSION.. AND……… I agree with another reviewer on this site. The first thing I said to my husband when I opened the new app was “Why have they put a promotion for an unwanted Health tracker on the main user interface of the app! FURIOUS! It can’t be deleted. I have health trackers on my iPhone an I watch. I don’t need another. At least make it go away when I’ve declined the offer! Not happy! I have an appointment with my HAs provider tomorrow….I hope there is going to be a solution.

Clumsy. This App is a pain. Each time I start it I find I've no connectivity although the Aids are happily Bluetoothing phone calls and media. Then, when I go connect and adjust anything as soon as App closes the settings go back to default. Rubbish.

Very un-user friendly. I am completely frustrated with trying to operate both hearing aids at once. There’s no option to connect two hearing aids at the same time and you don’t have the option to hear music from both ears or a phone call from both ears. You can switch between ears if you’re patient enough but not both at once. Obviously the app developer hasn’t tried to use it.

App usability. I find the app has good potential. Yes at present the setting are only temporary in HA and not saved (only on app) What I find very unusual is the online support for Audi to make changes etc is audio, visual only. Hey we are a deaf community and at times a text chat is very appropriate here. For instance when you don’t hear Audi and/or my case Audi couldn’t hear me because technically issue. A text chat would have been excellent. This just needs to be built into the app for online support. Sad that Phonak can’t even get the app to work on Apple Watch..The other brands do so…

App no longer functional.. Have been using this for quite a while without any real issues until recently. Now open the app and am greeted with a “Safety Information” pop up that can’t be removed meaning there is no way to use any of the functions of the app

Updated app Caused Issues From Day ONE. Please fix bug with it turning streaming for phone calls OFF from the first day I downloaded it. It turns off slider regularly for unknown reasons. Prior to the release of this app in July I had no issues. It is a critical bug that needs to be fixed….either that or revert to the older app.

Choice of default program. I’ve had my hearing aids for a couple of months now, and I’m getting used to wearing them. I like them lots, and I have developed a new program to suit myself and my needs. However every morning when I put them on and open the app, it defaults to the ‘Automatic’ program and I have to select the program I have developed which suits me better. I would like the option to change the default program to the one which works best for me, so that I don’t need to choose it manually every day. Otherwise, no complaints.

App Still does not work for Audeo Cros. Promised for April 2022. Still waiting. You have to change control via buttons on the hearing aids. Like who wants to do that ?

P90 up purchase. Looking at the reviews on the app I’m re considering the purchase of the aids from Hearing Australia as we wanted a simple use of the devices Currently have Siemens aids and the app is a disaster as well So going to have to do more research on other brands

CROS support. When is the app going to be compatible with my P90 and PCROS hearing aids? Would really love to be able to adjust them using the app. Thanks

Much better.. Good to see Phonak are listening to and implementing user suggestions. The Home Screen has now been decluttered and returned to its sole function of adjusting hearing aid. The mute button, however, still is the reverse of common convention. A slash through a speaker means SOUND OFF. 🔇 That is to say, the microphone on the hearing aid is now muted. Please revert to the way it was before which is the normal convention. Still waiting on that Apple Watch app. It would be an immense help for me due to dexterity issues.

Bad Bluetooth connectivity. Very annoying when my Bluetooth keeps dropping out and then won’t connect to the app at all, have to keep deleting and reloading the app to use Bluetooth grrrrr. Not good enough 😠

Unexpected deficiency in operation. While my left aid is in for warranty repair I’m using only the right aid. Problem that arises is the app now doesn’t show the battery condition of just the remaining one. Also can’t change the settings, like the mix of Bluetooth to aided audio. This is making being down one aid so much more inconvenient than it should be.

New AIDS. Very good adjustments, however all adjustments keep changing back to auto even if on a saved program. After a couple of minutes just reverts to auto, very annoying! How long do we have to wait for the update?? Returning to autosence all the time makes app useless! Why do we have to suffer? Update it... please!

Keeps losing my profiles. A good app, but it keeps losing my profiles that I set up for specific situations. Very frustrating.

Worse than previous version. This app continually freezes. The old one didn’t look as good but at least it did the basics

Update made things worse. Latest update now causes the app to take considerably longer to connect to my hearing aids, if it actually ever connects at all.

App. This APP will frustrate you to no end , it cuts out , won’t maintain settings and is a a nightmare to navigate.

Crappy step counter. Unreliability…… some times it works; other times no. So much potential…. Wasted. Luckily it is an add on and not core….

This app needs a lot of work. The app drops Bluetooth on a regular basis with an iPhone 13 pro max even when phone is quite close by and in line of sight to hearing aids. At times it does not give me accurate battery life on my rechargeable hearing aids. The tv app now seems to drop one ear or the other on a very regular basis that was not the case with old app. It frequently drops out of the tv adapter program altogether with no way to reconnect unless phone is rebooted. The app freezes frequently requiring a reboot of the iPhone. I have had trouble getting the app to pair with hearing aids for streaming. It took some five times to pair before everything was working again. I have had to delete and reload the app and reinstall-pair everything to get things working again. So the reliability of this app is poor at best. The previous app worked. With a severe to profound hearing impairment I rely on this app every day. This is leading me to consider other alternatives. On a positive note, the tv program has become critical for me watching tv. With it and closed captioning I can enjoy again. However it would be nice that when I switch app to emphasize mic as opposed to surround it will maintain that setting every time it turns on from day to day. The same can be said for the partner mic and roger.

Connecting to the app.. My iPhone connects to my Phonak hearing aids with no problem without having to push the button and wait for the led to turn red then green. Using the app I can not get a connection at all with my Phonak hearing aids. As a result, I can not recommend these hearing aids and will purchase another brand in the future. A 2 rating is too high for this app as the developer seems to be ignoring the problems causing the poor rating.

Connection. Useless. It’s impossible to connect app with ear pieces.

Don’t update or you will loose all functionality. The update is useless - It starts by saying that your hearing aids are incompatible! Well they were compatible two minutes ago before update - what the hell happened! Update happened! Save yourself grief by not updating app. Developers really need to test their app before releasing stupid updates. The app is useless unless it connects to phonak brand hearing aids! If the developer/programmer thinks that they can update code without testing well they really do not know what they are doing then…

Developers should test before releases. Every breaks after the update. Connection is not stable as others stated.

Buggy. Bluetooth connection is very unstable and app constantly needs to reconnect. Very annoying.

CROS. When will this app support CROS hearing aids?

Tech support. Call to get help and a person engages you and then tells you, oh I’m just a person who answers a Phone at some call centre and I don’t know anything ,I won’t be back but after a recent purchase and lots of problems I’m stuck ..like they say it sucks to be me so be aware , anything I mean anything that requires attention means a visit to place of purchase on their terms ,so god help you if have a job that doesn’t work with their scheduled.

Really wish you would add support for Apple Watch. I like this app very much. The UI changes are nice, but it would really be nice if it had a companion Apple Watch app. It wouldn’t need to be much, just a listing of the programs and a way to adjust the volume on the fly, instead of having to dig out the iPhone every time.

Useless. Every time I need to adjust my Hearing aids, I have to delete this app and reinstall- this is ridiculous! I’m a new Phonak client and if this is the way I have to manage my aids I will return them and demand a full refund. Just imagine if this was the control for a pacemaker😵‍💫!

Problem with 6.3.0. Since this update, the app loses track of the hearing aids if the app stays open in the background. I have to close the app and reopen it whenever I need to use it. I have an iPhone XR with IOS 16.3.1 This a follow up to the original review. I solved the problem I was having by deleting the app from my iPhone and followed Sonova’s instructions to reinstall the app and re-pair my hearing aids. The only problem I had was connecting my iPhone for streaming and calls. I had to restart my hearing aids to enable this. This wasn’t in Sonova’s instructions. Everything works as before the update perhaps even a bit faster. That said, users should not have to do a reinstall after an update.

Doesn’t connect. Does not connect to my hearing aid

Terrible app. App is completely unstable. Any settings you change manually are thrown out as soon as your iPhone’s screen locks itself.

App will not pair with my new iPhone. I just upgraded my iPhone and I’m having issues connecting. I can pair the hearing aids to stream audio through Bluetooth but can’t pair to the app itself. I’ve been through all of the instruction videos but no luck. Very frustrating.

Last update has improved stability. Initially I was going to give the APP a 1 star review, as it was as described by everyone already! Unstable, always disconnecting and wouldn’t save my settings. I emailed the company and let them know the issues I was having! They responded and since then have updated the app! So far it appears that they have fixed all the issues I was having! I can only attest to the fact that it seems to be working well now with my Phonak Paradise p90’s.

Crap - absolutely useless. DO NOT CONSIDER THIS TO BE A "FEATURE" of the hearing aids!! Of over 100 apps on my phone this one is the only one released full of bugs with no documentation. Even using flaky and unstable remote support, program addition, adjustments just don't work. "Support" boils down to debugging and finding work-arounds. Watch out that you are not offered this app in lieu of actual in person support. Note that this is the latest "upgrade" to the even crappier version. More "upgrades" promised. Sigh.

Why change a perfectly good app??. Just updated this app to latest version. Supposedly just to allow support for a new model. Ha ha. After the update I find everything has changed. I now have to relearn how to use the app. Why? Was someone bored? The previous version was much more logical and user friendly (IMO). It still works, but I don’t see why we have to be subjected to unnecessary app redesigns.

Poor application 🙁. Still no support for bi-cross earring aids How can you leave us apart of this application for so long ? Unacceptable

Give consideration to people with disabilities other than loss of hearing!. I wrote recently about the problems using the My Phonak app with VoiceOver. In recent versions the use of VO in the app has been improved. However, there is a significant problem but this is due to the way the hearing aids use Bluetooth/VO rather than the My Phonak app itself, see below: Unlike hearing aids that use Apple’s MFi system the Phonak system adds a ‘program’ called ‘Bluetooth Streaming + Mic’ to the list of programs one has on the hearing aids. When using VO this ‘program’ is activated. In my case I have to use VO all the time because I am blind. So, when I go to My Phonak to change programs and my hearing aids are in the ‘Music’ program, for example, the app tells me I am in the Bluetooth program. Now, if i wait about five or six seconds the VO times out on the hearing aids and the app indicates I am in the Music program. If I wait another few seconds it reconnects to Bluetooth and tells me I am in the Bluetooth program. If, however, I select a program using the app the hearing aids chime to indicate the program has been selected but VO/Bluetooth is now disabled. It can take many seconds for VO/Bluetooth to be re-connected and during this time I am unable to use my iPhone. Note: When using VO on my iOS device, which I do all the time, the Bluetooth program on the Hearing aids ’times out’ after about 5 seconds of inactivity and then when I do something on the device it takes a couple of seconds to reconnect. This is annoying and I do not remember this being a problem on other hearing aids using Apple’s MFi system.

Connection. Can’t connect with MyPhonak app at all Sad, wanted to use the features

Limited functionality. The Hearing Remote app is much more versatile, but I didn’t manage to pair it with my hearing aids. It would be nice to be able to have it on the Apple Watch as well, not to have to carry the iPhone and reach for it whenever I need to adjust the volume.

Long time Phonak User: EPIC APP FAIL. I’ve been wearing hearing aids for over 50 years, a little less than 1/2 of those years with Phonak. I am deaf blind so…I am currently on trial with with the top of the line Audéo P90/312 How is such a company that deals with hearing loss miss such an important accessible features such as voiceover? High contrast? User friendly app? The Health feature is really just useless space in the app. Less is more. Make it accessible for all and pair it with current devices such as #applewatch . Apple products covers a lot of accessible features, including working/pairing with major hearing aid brands. With todays technology I am surprised with the poor quality of the app. Disappointing and a deciding factor for me to try another brand.

App. I have been using the app for 4 years and was happy. Today I got new phonak hearing aid with a Cross. The app is no longer compatible. When will your app be updated. Thank you Helen Bertrand BC Canada

Will not connect. My Naida P50 PR connected to the app once. Now they will no longer connect no matter what I do. Bluetooth works fine on the iPhone and on the Apple Watch. The app is completely useless to me.

Needs update and bug fixes. Tried many times to pair my “Phonak Audéo P” hearing aids to this app and it only allows me to connect one channel individually (it’s either the left one or the right one)but not both channels at the same time. This is very time consuming and frustrating. Did all the research and tried many attempts to pair and after more than 4 hours (2 yesterday and 2 today) the app will only allow me to connect them together. Very time consuming and frustrating. Please fix this. Thank you.

Please update for mire stabilité. I agree with the comments this app need to be updated to preserve the settings manually entered or comme back to the settings manually entered after a call

A very poor interface. Hard to understand why company that sells a $7000 product depends on a free app for its customer service reputation. The app is incredibly slow ( there’s even an imbedded message that states “ connecting, this may take some time). The app is unstable— sometimes it freezes, sometimes it changes programs on its own. It also needs the ability to mute audio while connected to TV. Given the fact that it’s lack of performance has me ready to move to another product after only 2 months should be a message to spend a little money and fix it!

Unstable connection with iPhone. Finding all too frequently doesn’t remember iPhone connection and have to reset. Irritating and not acceptable

Won’t connect. The latest version doesn’t always connect to the aids, sitting now for 10 minutes and dtill not connected

I phone 10 will not connect to app. Tried several times to connect my phone to the app without succeeding. Very disappointing. I followed all of the instructions for connecting including deleting the app, downloading a new app etc. The app worked fine for about one year.

Work well when set-up. However the app is problematic. The app works well once you go through all the steps correctly. However if you cannot get the hearing aids to connect. Check that you’ve paired them then restart trying to connect them to the app. Also once paired you MUST go to the next screen and press okay. The pairing isn’t automatic like other Bluetooth devices. It’s crucial to follow every set in order the app is fussy.

CROS P still not working with MyPhonak. The new version of myphomak still does'nt support CROS P. I start to wonder if the developer has any interest to suppodt the cros technology as I noted that there had been requests from other user of cros p many many months ago. Perhaos they are of the opi.nion that there are not too many user of cros and why bother. But i have paid for the Audei Paradise hearing aid too. This app is useless to me though I spent a fortune to get the latest hearing aids from phonak. Very Disappointed!!

Not working. I can pair my hearing aids with the app??? What is happening?

Where is promised CROS app?. Users are so confused with this upgrade. Older users have to relearn how to use the settings.

Older version. Is there way to revert back to an older version that actually works with the iPad?

Problem with version 6.3.0. I reported this here several days ago when the new version was released but my review of the issue hasn’t been posted. I am using IOS 16.3.1 on an iPhone 14 Pro Max. I can open the app and it finds my hearing aids fairly quickly and acts as expected. My practice is that I don’t completely close the app but allow it to remain in the background. My hearing aids are connected to Bluetooth regardless of the status of the app. When I return to the app it tells me my hearing aids are disconnected and then tries, unsuccessfully, to reconnect. I have deleted my hearing aids from the app, restarted my phone and then paired by hearing aids to the app again. Unfortunately there is no change and the app continues to behave in this manner. The previous version did not and I did not have any issues with the app reconnecting to my hearing aids having been constantly in the background on my iPhone. I do like the app, the previous version, but I’m not pleased with its performance in the new version.

Very poor Bluetooth connectivity. The connection is so difficult to establish and maintain with the app, that you might as well not even have it.

My phonic. I downloaded the app, went to pair, did as asked turn unit’s off then on and push pair, waited and left paired waited right paired worked great, set to my settings, done, thanks.

Horrible. Bluetooth stops working . Does not stream. Not acceptable. Had Widex evoke which is a little better. At my wits end. The Bluetooth streaming needs to be automatic. If you had Widex streaming tech with phonak sound you would have the perfect product

step counter is broken. it keeps track pretty fine, until you recharge your hearing aids, then all the progress disappears

Bluetooth keeps getting disconnected. It was working just fine for few days and even used new batteries. The app keeps losing the Bluetooth connection. It’s been frustrating as I love this app and use it daily. But I’m giving it 1 star due to constant disconnection with Bluetooth. I did everything, forgetting the hearing aids pairing, reinstalled the app, etc. I’m using latest Phonak Naida Paradise 70UP.

Useless for control of Noise Generator. Resets noise generators to default volume every time the app is opened, whether devices are adjusted manually or through the “tinnitus noiser”within the app. You can not control volume of each device independently unless you have the very top of the line devices. The only reason you need the app is to connect your phone to the devices. Lazy programming or greed?

Terrible. This app is terrible. I’m constantly having to uninstall and reinstall the app to make it work.

Darrell. Not happy at all when you set for restaurant or other settings as soon as my phone screen closes the app goes back to auto settings what’s the point of even having the app if your phone screen has to be lit up all the time. USELESS APP !!!!!!!

Terrible App. Just up graded to 6.2.3 THANKS for ‘trashing’ my saved setting! Also, your Software Instructions DON’T work (pairing). And every iOS update TRASHES my iPhone connection. Pathetic!

Horrible. I hope, that Mr.Developer will end up in hell side by side with Putin, for making this abomination of the app.The previous Phonak app was simple, easy to operate and user friendly.I absolutely feel sorry, for older folks, who aren't eletronically incline.Even my audiologist lost her cool, trying to make this vomit smell less. The only reason I give one star, because I would not be able to post this review.

Buggy and no Apple Watch App. I’m a “younger” hearing aid user, and have the new Phonak Lumity 90 hearing aids. It’s frustrating to have all of this technology available within the hearing aid, but the app is not consistent so you cannot maximize the tech within. I often have to re-pair the aids to the app (among just being glitchy), and I hate that there is no Apple Watch companion app for the Phonak. Please make a Watch App and create consistency for the users. For the price of these aids, and need for the App to function properly, it is pretty disappointing. Actually considering returning the aids for something else, as these issues are that annoying. Fix it.

App needs major improvements.. Simplify, simplify and simplify so more!!! Concentrate on HEARING!!! EASE OF USE!! IMPROVE PAIRING PROCEDURES!!! IMPROVE HEARING CONTROLS!!! I bought your hearing aids to help me HEAR, not for heart health, count my steps, etc. there are other apps much better than yours for those functions. Stick to what you are best at and improve it. Keep in mind that the vast majority of your users are senior citizens, ease of use is vital!! Thank you very much for listening and wishing you the best always.

App no longer works. I seem to have a similar problem as at least one other user- since iOS 16.1 I have no functionality with the app. It appears as though it is loading when I try to open it, but then blanks out and is gone. I tried to delete the app to reinstall but it has disappeared from my Home Screen. When I try to open it from the App Store, the process described above repeats. I have had my hearing aids and the app for almost 2 years with no problems like this before. This is only with the app. Hearing aids are fine independent of the app.

Good just not great. I have been using the app for about three years now. At first I thought it was great for its features then. I have used it continuously each day. Then Phonak decided it ‘upgrade’ the app. Since then there have been some problems with it. For instance, I created several special situation adjustments. I saved them and they were there for a long time. These did not carry over on the upgrade. I redid them. Then several weeks later they were gone. Also, I did not notice a difference when I make adjustments at some times. Also I found my hearing aids dropping off and sometimes going to my other phone. I have had some phone calls and during the call the hearing aid Bluetooth link dropped. I did not have this problem before the upgrade.

Works fine. The app works fine on the iPhone to switch programs and adjust settings on the fly. However, I would like to see the developer bring an Apple Watch companion app to market to bring this in-line with competitor devices like the Oticon More and Resound hearing aids which already have Apple Watch apps available. This would allow for quick adjustments during meetings without having to pull out a cell phone which is unprofessional

Frustrating. The hearing aids are fine and in general I like the flexibility of making custom profiles for different scenarios. The Bluetooth experience is a hot mess. Seriously, the QA team must be playing golf or something. There’s no way this could pass any testing in this area and be released. When you’re connected to a Bluetooth device and it’s actively streaming, the instant you open the phonak app, you can see it switch away from the Bluetooth profile, which then vanishes from your list of profiles, so you can’t make any changes unless you’re *really* fast. When my MBP is active and streaming, the app can’t connect to my hearing aids at all. They’re completely locked out. And, as of the last version, if you switch away from the app for a little while, when you go back to the app, you can almost never reconnect to the hearing aids, it just times out. You almost always have to force quit the app and then go back in.

Mediocre app, shame on Phonak. I was prescribed an Audeo P90 CROS set by the VA. I was hopeful that the new set would add a degree of flexibility in regard to my hearing aids for me in daily use. This app is basically just a glorified volume control. It offers no adjustability beyond selecting preset environment profiles which the wearer cannot add to or modify. Basically its locked by Phonak and the prescribing Audiologist because both parties feel the end user is too stupid to be trusted with that much control. Phonak makes a really good quality hearing aid but their willful obstruction of end user choice is why so many are opting for OTC hearing aids. My Fathers Lexia Bose hearing aids offer a vastly better end user app and the aids cost 1/4 of the price of mine with IMO similar sound quality. Shame on Phonak for treating us wearers as if were too stupid to be trusted with adjustments like more bass, treble, programmable presets, directional mic control, speech recognition vs theater etc.

Phonak hearing aids are so-so, app doesn’t work at all. I have had my phonak hearing aids for almost a month. The hearing improvement is unnoticable but using them to talk hands free on the phone is very cool. However I think I could find a super ear bud for a tenth of the price to do that. I have been traveling and haven’t been able to have my follow up visit with my audiologist, she says that when she makes the next adjustment they will improve. In the mean time I have tried to use the Phonak app on my iPhone to adjust them. The phone connects to the hearing aids via blue tooth, but the Phonak app does not. The app so far is completely useless.

Mike. I’ve had my hearing aids for a week. I installed the app but I am practically not able to use it because it doesn’t function well. Every adjustment I make is not saved. There’s no save function. I love the hearing aids but I hate the app. I don’t know why the company doesn’t fix it. I may return the hearing aids and try a different company with functioning app. There’s no reason to have any input from the user be temporarily. Customer preferences with of their choices to hear better should be an easy control option and it should be permanent. The current control inputs are just the opposite. I find myself constantly correcting the app and it is very annoying.

Phonak hearing aids audeo. Save yourself alot of aggravation. Dont buy phonak. Their hearing aids are ok though incredibly expensive for the tech vs what is now coming available now that they don't have an exclusive on the market. The biggest issue is their app. It constantly falls out of sync and almost impossible to pair again even after deleting app and reinstalling. Should be a simple fix on their part but either they don't care after numerous requests or bluetooth tech is simply beyond their skill set The Monopoly is over buy over the counter from a company that gets it and save the $7000 for a top phonak pair until they care enough to make it work as promised Mjg

Read reviews before buying. I wish I had read some of the reviews before shelling out thousands of dollars for these hearing aids. About 80% of the time they work as intended. But there are too many instances where the app can’t locate the HE’s to connect to Bluetooth. I haven’t been able to stream anything all day. Not such a big deal when I’m home and can just listen through the phone’s speaker, but an altogether other problem when at work and I can’t get it to connect. I’ve googled everything to figure it out. I’m home now, so I know it’s not a Wi-Fi problem. Really disappointed.

Won’t stay on the desired program!. Every single time I turn off my screen or move away from the phonak app at all, it leaves the custom program I chose and goes right back to the automatic mode. I absolutely hate it. There are no app settings to change this, and customer support said “that question is beyond our capabilities to answer.” Useless! UPDATE: the app developer linked me to an article saying to prevent the app from switching programs, to silence all sounds and notifications from my phone. What is the point of wearing hearing aids to hear if I silence all notifications??

My journey with my hearing aids!. Every visit with my audiologist has brought a better understanding of these great hearing aids! My hearing was pretty much destroyed in a car accident almost 5 months ago. These marvelous tiny instruments have given me a new life of enjoyment!!! I no longer have to apologize for not hearing or understanding a comment! The huge plus is the attention to detail the audiologist has provided! I love to hear what I was missing!!!!

Works well!. This is my first experience with hearing aids of any kind. I have always enjoyed excellent hearing —- until things changed and I developed Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus. Now I need help in hearing things I always took for granted. I like the fact that Phonak lets me adjust so many aspects of the auditory experience. I am overall very pleased with my Phonak hearing aids and the level of support I receive.

It’s lousy. I will try to find any older app or generic app as I wasn’t able to pair with this app after trying various reboots of phone & hearing aids. I might need to return the hearing aids. Update: I think the issues are due to not being Made For iPhone (MFi). The app tries to take control, and Apple seems to have added something called perApp for accessibility with hearing devices. I removed the Phonak app from it because it was adding lits of unwelcome “adjustments” such that my hearing aids became super annoying & I wasted a lot of time trying to figure out the problems. I will probably return these. I wonder if Naida hearing aids may be a better choice? These Audeo ones have features I don’t need, and are not for the profound loss that I have.

Horrible!. This app is clearly not written by people who use it daily nor are they speaking to any of the people who do. Where do I start, so many deficiencies. Slow to respond, poorly designed UI, terribly described settings (which by the way do NOT even match what your audiologist sees in their app), no way to change key settings (like automatic or EQ in steaming mode) just overall terrible. It’s bad enough to have to deal with hearing loss but this app literally adds frustration. I try not to use it unless I absolutely must. I’d love to have words with the Phonak UX team. Probably a crew of fourth graders with crayons and juice boxes.

Horrible experience. Since the upgrade I’ve had so many issues pairing them. Only my left hearing aid connects. Over the past week I’ve tried all their troubleshooting suggestions uninstalling, installing (repeat), changing the batteries, closing and opening battery doors, checking Wi-Fi strength and on and on… nothing works. These were very expensive and they should work right for the amount of money we’ve paid. Fix the problem!! It’s stressful and the company doesn’t seem to care. Customer support is nonexistent. I have an appointment with my audiology doctor at Mass General next week and I won’t put up with not having these work. This company has NOT heard the last from me.

What A Waste. The app is useless. It rarely connects to my hearing aids, even when I insert new batteries and even when I turn my hearing aids off then on and even when I delete the app and then reload it I am very frustrated. Can I get help from my audiologist? only if I make an appointment months ahead of time. Yes, I have called Phonak for tech help and they were able to help me. within a couple of days, though, the app would not connect to my hearing aids, despite what I did. I’m thinking about going back to Costco for my hearing aids.

Poor quality for excessively expensive devices. These hearing aids are the worst I’ve ever had. I paid $6000 for these thinking they were state of the art but I’ve had nothing but problems with them. For a company that deals with hearing loss and auditory problems, it appears as though they don’t listen to their customers. There are constant charging problems and they occasionally just stop working then come back on a few seconds later. When they eventually stop working completely, I’ll go to Costco and buy my next pair. I’ve heard nothing but good comments about their products and about 1/4 the price.

Woof what a terrible experience. When streaming audio it will randomly cut out, randomly speed up the audio, or will not connect to the aids to reduce background noise. My phone is in my hand and shouldn’t have any issue connecting over this distance. I’ve tried all sorts of troubleshooting - restarting aids/phone, disconnect/reconnect, delete app and redownload to no change. I’ve read the resources in the app for troubleshooting - being on wifi does not improve the connections. By far the most frustrating experience compared to past different brands for streaming Bluetooth. Do not recommend phonak hearing aids and cannot wait to get a different pair that work consistently.

Lost Presets and Incorrect Info. Last update lost all my presets I saved in the program. When I created a new one…it did not keep it, though I have since done it again and it seems to be saving it. The battery percentage is simply not working. Says I’m at the same levels all the time - 70 and 80 percent left to right. Not accurate since the hearing ad is chiming that it’s running low/out. I should be able to set a retain a setting to the hearing aid without having to deal with support. They would be a nice add.

Makes you wanna cry. I have two pairs of phonak hearing aids gifted by the VA but I’m seriously thinking of purchasing my own set because it takes me days to enable Bluetooth streaming connection by constantly uninstalling and reinstalling the app. The settings revert back to automatic no matter what custom setting you create.. sometimes your custom settings just go poof like David Copperfield, I have both the in ear rechargeable ones and the behind the ear set and each has its challenges… I understand why the app has a rating of less than 2 and I understand why they have a contract with the Government.. Y’all gotta do better, you serve the Veterans of this country and this is unacceptable..

Give me the old app back.. We use this app mostly when we’re watching Tv. We have bought 4 of the adapters to the Tv. My husband is deafer than I am and it was wonderful to be able to have him connect his hearing aids to the Tv adapter and turn the Tv volume down. Since this new app we have not been able to use the Tv adapter. It says it’s connected and it does is amplifies the Tv. Does not connect to hearing aids like it use too. Very Horrible update and Very frustrating considering these things were $400 each when we bought them. One is still in the box. We just bought another one right before the app update. This is unacceptable and deceiving!!!!!

Better late than never. I’ve been wearing Audéo P70-R in both ears for over a year. FINALLY you have the app connecting to the hearing aids in a reasonable amount of time. Thank you!! Plus your improvements on the layout of the app are also appreciated. Between these two improvements alone you have eliminated a lot of user fumbling while trying to make a quick adjustment when entering a new environment. Thank you again for this update. A 5th star when you impress again.

Keeps losing its pairing. My aids are less than 6 months old I have the audio m90 rechargeable Pairing drops for one or both. Deleted app on phone and told Bluetooth to forget connection. Downloaded app again and followed prompts. Sometime it couldn’t pair at all others it would pair left and right but failed to connect and pair for use on a phone call. Very frustrating. The system looks good with all the controls when you can get it working Unfortunately with the Cirus threat I am nit returning to WI where I originally purchased the devices. Not I have to pay someone in AZ to look after it even though I have a 3?year warranty. Not good Phonak

Bluetooth failure. I’m writing this review for my father who I take care of that has poor hearing and Dementia(which can be impacted by issues with hearing). Without hearing aids and those hearing aids being able to connect to Bluetooth for phone conversations and watching TV my dads quality of life is severely diminished. This app has been problematic since day 1 but, is utterly useless now. The Hearing aids(that cost $5400 with a “discount” afforded to those who have the health insurance my dad has - Medicare with a supplement plan) seem like they are connecting but within

Auto Start broken with iOS 16. MyPhonak has improved over the past year to probably a 4 to 5 star app UNTIL iOS 16 and the latest MyPhonak update. The auto start function doesn’t stay engaged once selected…in fact nothing but Bluetooth seems to work properly now. I have addressed this with the Phonak helpline but they were unable to resolve my problems. The Phonak Paradise hearing aides Automatic setting is wonderful - so for most situations without extreme noise the Aids are perfect ’for my hearing’ without requiring this App since the Aids adjust to various situations such as Speech in Noise, music, etc with their built in programming and return to the Calm setting when the situation becomes calmer again. However, the MyPhonak App allows adjustments and setting modes changes which dramatically increase one’s control of speech in noise, wind, or other distractions making this app a necessity, in my opinion. Hopefully this will be addressed SOON.

Advice from Phonak is ridiculous.. When I called their service rep to help with app connectivity they told me that I should re-pair my hearing aids every time I wanted to use the app to adjust the volume. (And that I shouldn’t contact them using the phone that my hearing aids are paired with if I want assistance.) In the past I had been able to adjust the volume or choose one of the preset programs without re-pairing until I tried streaming my calls and audio books through my hearing aids. Now it is impossible to reconnect to the app. I’ve tried “Forget This Device” and deleting and reinstalling the app to no avail. I expected better for $6K.

Purely Amateur work -. “We apologize for any issue you might be having” This apology means nothing to anybody attempting to use this app. We don’t need apologies. We need it fixed by somebody who knows what they’re doing. Clearly, those who designed this mess is clueless. This last update turned my wonderful Kirkland/Phonak K9’s into trash and useless. Fix your mess quickly-and let someone do it who knows how to handle the job. Don’t send me your canned apology. Just fix it - yesterday. Great response to my complaint on this app. Told me about a different app that works much better. So, 2 more stars.

New Phonak App. One morning put on my Phonak hearing aids and they didn’t stream music through them. I went to my app pages on my iPhone and found a new app had been installed in place of the old app that did everything. I went to settings and the Bluetooth showed not connected. I shut the hearing aids down, delegated the app and reinstalled, paired the hearing aids, they connected and promptly dropped the Bluetooth connection. I tried several more things that didn’t work. Why did you change the old app with something that doesn’t work and just make the owners of Phonak hearing aids frustrated? You should do extensive testing before releasing a “new and improved “ version that isn’t worth a crap!!!

I must be special or something. I am amazed at all the negative low ratings for the app update. It took a bit of fiddling around to get my hearing aids reconnected but after that it has been smooth sailing. In fact my hearing aids are working better than they ever have since new. Better clarity and sound balance. The different settings such a music and restaurant seem to work better. I’m loving it! I’m sorry you guys are having issues.

What disaster. Can’t add much to what others have said about this disaster of an app. Why this wasn’t beta tested is beyond me. It’s hard enough being under stress from one’s hearing impairment but having a “new and improved” app that is complete garbage is inexcusable. The old app worked well, looks like Phonak needs to find some new developers that know what they’re doing. I have 3 dozens apps on my IPhone and none have these ridiculous problems. Pairing the instruments should take seconds not HOURS with no success. $6000 and this is the best you can do? Please don’t respond with the standard blah blah blah, fix the damned app.

FRUSTRATING App. I love the hearing aids but the App is very frustrating. It will not connect and therefore I Have to re-pair the aids to the App by putting them In the charger, uninstalling the app, reinstall the app and go thru the whole set up process again at minimum once a week. It is not always possible to get to your charger to do this and manually turning them off does not work most of the time. With today’s technology this should not need to be done. I even have it set to stay connected!!! Hoping there is a fix for this in the works.

Good Hearing Aids - App needs useful features. I wish my Lumity 90 RL would support Apple MFI specs so they would be more integrated and transparent for Apple users. I don’t like having to pull the phone every time and wait for the phone to connect to the HA when I want to quickly switch modes like when entering a noisy environment like a restaurant. As a substitute for MFI, support for IOS shortcuts would allow users to automate certain tasks. Also adding an Apple Watch complication that will quickly switch modes would work great since switching modes thru the watch is more discreet.

Garbage Bluetooth connection with iPhone. This app is terrible. Or the hearing aids are terrible, I’m not sure which. I lose connection daily at random. I’ve had to reinstall and reconnect multiple times and it only sometimes solves the problem. I can get a pair of AirPods for $200 that connect more reliably than these $5000 hearing aids do. There is no excuse for something so expensive to work so poorly. On top of all of that basic connectivity terribleness, the controls in the app are basic garbage too. The EQ is a joke. The different settings never stick and don’t help anyway. I am meeting with my audiologist tomorrow and turning these in to try another brand in hopes that I can find a better hearing aid.

Nice update. Still some air is it’s lacking.. I love the way the new revision allows us to stay connected to the app. Great improvement. I don’t like that it sets automatic as the default, but does not allow you to make any changes to the automatic program. You should be able to select any one of the programs as the default. Also don’t like the way the hearing aids connect to each TV connector as you pass through rooms. It should stay on the selected program unless you select TV connector. I hope you guys give it some thought.

PHONAK APP. I am on my fourth attempt at getting my hearing aids to connect with the app. After I figured out how to turn the hearing aids on, I attempted to reinstall the app. It only connected with one hearing aid, the left one, and now I am on my fourth attempt to get it to connect at all. This last time I reinstalled the app, it wouldn’t connect with either one of the hearing aids. They are charged to 100 percent, so they should be able to connect. I have an internet connection also, (which is one of the reasons given for not having a connection), and my phone is charged to almost 100% also. Something needs to be done to fix this “bug”, so it can be used.

Not the most user friendly app!. Because it’s weird, the Phonak app helpline is flooded and hard to get through to. I waited over an hour. But I like my new aids, so I was determined to try everything before returning them! The dude DID help me figure out the connectivity situation, and once he did, the call was transferred right then and there into my hearing aids. Each time I dropped the call accidentally he called me right back and I figured out how to answer. I’m feeling much more encouraged!

Lost in Space. I began using the app and all was well- both earpieces registered and paired easily, and the third device for pairing with my iPhone worked. The I entered the real world where I often have go to airline mode. A couple of times doing that, and no third device, so no phone calls. So, I nor regularly reboot the hearing aids but that doesn’t help. Mor often, now twice a week, I have to forget all Phonak devices (usually only two found anywa), delete the app, reinstall, etc, and hope the app finds my phone. Usually not. The hearing aids are good, but my connection to my iPhone is lost in space somewhere.

Updates are supposed to improve performance. The update to the app has done the opposite. Like many others, I previously had very few issues. Post-update, connection with my iPhone (other than volume control) is non-existent. I used to enjoy being able to listen to my music library through my hearing aids and occasionally take a phone call. No longer. Yes, I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled several times. *I received a response from the app developer which instructed me to do the exact procedure prescribed elsewhere and that I’d done several times previously. Still doesn’t work.*

Generally ok. The app generally works well. One bug I can’t resolve with an audiologist is that when the phone is paired and my phone is on silent (I.e. vibrate only) it still rings through my hearing aids. So it is impossible to answer a call and have incoming alerts through vibrate only. So I have to either manually disconnect Bluetooth or go into focus mode on the phone anytime I am in a meeting and don’t want to have it ringing in my ear. Very annoying! The Bluetooth connection sound quality is light years behind a $200 pair of AirPods, so the Bluetooth feature is only useful in a very quiet non-windy setting.

Terrible revision. Not impressed at all. Only giving one star because the review won’t let me select zero stars. This latest rev is glitchy and does has severe BT issues. Will only BT synch to one hearing even though iPhone is connected to both. When opening the app it takes an incredibly long time to connect to the one hearing aid or it won’t connect at all. Lastly when the app does connect, it does not retain BT volume selection. Meaning you open app, wait for the connection, select BT volume, switch back to music app and the Phonak apps resets the BT volume to default. Absolutely worthless. Please roll-back to the previous version.

Beeps all the time. It would be nice if this application didn't beep in your hearing aids. Every time there is some audio that needs to play across your hearing aids - at the end of every sound, the stupid thing does beep in your hearing aids so essentially, this app is worthless. My hearing aids are not "trial" or other that according to phonak that being for 6 days. Nice try phonak! Whenever the phone plays a sound like an alert the alert sound will play and then the phonak app plays its connection sound right after the phone alert. My hearing aid provider? I think not. It's the app or Apple, but either way phonak needs to fix it.

Most disappointing App. One pays a small fortune to purchase what are supposed to be great hearing aids with sophisticated controls from your iPhone, to then discover that the app is completely buggy. Every time I try to make a call with my hearing aids on, the call fails the first time, but goes through on a redial. Everytime I take them off for a few minutes as to take a shower, I have two choices, waste ten minutes resetting the Bluetooth, or putting them back in their charger so that they reset. This is only a solution when I’m home with the charger nearby. When you dig further into the problem you discover that although these are some of the most expensive hearing aids on the market, Phonak was too cheap to pay to get them certified “Made For iPhone” by Apple! My AirPods work sooo much better that this combination app and product !

Phonak LE. I’ve had these hearing aids approximately a month replacing my old 10 yr + hearing aids. I purchased these because of the extra microphone for hands free phone calls. With insurance I’m still paying $1600 for them. I’ve had a lot of problems today especially trying to connect them to my iPhone 13. Bluetooth shows connected on the phone but not in the app. I’ve tried repeatedly turning Bluetooth off, told app and phone to forget the hearing aids, turning them off, putting them back in the charger, etc. The update today has problems with it and I’ve been unable to reconnect. I have another appointment next week with my hearing aid provider and may have to turn these back to for a refund

Got worse. So now I can no longer adjust them at all for anything custom. I’m not sure why I’m complaining since even when I did the custom setting, it lasted briefly before resetting. Honestly, I would never get these hearing aids again at this point. I’ve been dealing with them for over 2 years and can’t wait to get something else next year. I’m aware you’ll reply to reach out. There is no point. It’s been bad for too long now, and there are too many bad reviews. I completely regret getting these and wish I could go back to my old hearing aids I no longer have. They weren’t as fancy but they worked better.

Good app could use some more functionality controls. The app works but when I first put the aids in it automatically reverts to the auto settings. I set up a custom setting and use it all the time. Wish it would return to the settings it was on when I took the aids out. Also it auto connects to the Bluetooth. I rarely use it. Should give me the option to not use Bluetooth automatically. Easy to use. Generally a good app.

So Bad. I don’t understand why a company would make available an app that is almost useless. This app will only connect to my hearing aids about 20% of the time. I have removed and reinstalled this app at least 100 times. I beg the company to develop an app that functions. I paid over $5,000 for my Phonak hearing aids and such an app is needed to fully utilize my hearing aids. I will not buy Phonak again. BTW, I use an IPhone.

Terrible user experience for intended audience. My grandfather has been struggling with this app regularly and is frustrated! We have spent the morning completely disconnecting his hearing aids from the phone, deleting the app, re-pairing the hearing aids, reinstalling the app. I think it is finally working, but if he sets the phone down with the app running in the background and picks it up a few minutes later, the app says it has disconnected. To fix, you have to close the app out completely and restart it. Again, this is my grandfather who now has to remember all of these steps and is increasingly confused and frustrated. Please figure it out!

Beyond buggy. I just got a pair of their latest hearing aids, the Phonak Audéo, last week. So far, I’m less than impressed. Half of the time the HE won’t play any sound when streaming from Bluetooth via my iPhone (12 Pro Max) or 2021 MacBook Pro. The app is essentially useless as it crashes when trying to connect about 80 percent of the time. As I’m still within the 30 day period, I’ll likely return these expensive devices unless by some miracle the devs get them working with the app as they should. Edit: As of latest update, the app doesn’t appear to be crashing anymore, however, now they fail to connect to the devices every time.
